"It's a little overcast in LA. That means no one's woken up. I got a double cap we walked in the booth. I was like I need any some rocket fuel. I can't do this. You know, in the wise words of Clark Gable? I don't smile until I have had a Cup of coffee. Amen. Amen. Sounds like something like he's a. Jumped out who is that actor that when they did the CASA Blanca, he only drink whiskey, but everybody else got sick because drink water Humphrey Bogart. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. So when they were filming that everyone was like hydrating because shooting in like, the fucking desert rat and the water was like it was like tainted. So everyone had like just the runs that he was drinking whiskey the whole time. So he didn't get sick. He was the only one that didn't come on up. Hoagie. Look. Look. When he got sick when he got back to the stadium. Yeah. I'm sure he didn't wake up feeling hung over. If you stay drunk, okay? Whereas words. Podcast food. Yes. Oh, alcohol. Yeah. The same thing. We'll tell you how to do it better. That's all that's all. We're not trying to get you to be super human. You're not an IT model Humphrey Bogart just regular person, right or wrong. It's just better word. Yeah. Exactly. When people like, oh is this healthy like healthier? Learn has IT malls, you go strap on your Instagram. Not always be trapping. Always gave me. I never heard of them. Oh, that's all for you. Man. That's not double cap. Yeah. We love your Instagram. You're a ton of fun to follow and your. I mean, your your character on single parents is fucking hilarious. Maybe it's a good like every I mean, it's a comedic show, but you definitely of the adult cast. I think get to have the most irreverent fund. Character kind of most between the child realm and the adult around the youngest of the parent flu or good height beast. Yeah. Thank you. Thanks a lot. Because you know, like he is supposed to be a Hiep's, but I don't know how quote unquote authentic, you know, in the eyes of real, hyper. Yeah. The budget because he's a dad. Hype or not self aware. So they think that they're not a hype piece, you're definitely. Exactly, right. It's this confidence that you have you know, in that speaks a lot on megi because. Megi is very clueless. He's for lack of a better word kind of dumb. But the thing is is not that he knows he's done. He he thinks he knows everything what any idea that. He comes up with. It's the best idea in the world, and he's very confident and leans into it, which is the comedy. Yeah. And also. Yeah. With the happiest do like anything he wears he thinks it's as high. Shoot. Opposite ever sold a purple beret from child and he's like, I'm gonna rock the fuck up. Exactly. Idiot savant moments where he's like he's so dumb that he actually fucking nails. It. Go so far down the spectrum actually comes about a way around one eighty kind of fun to play a character. Like that so much fun. Yeah. Yeah. You know? I always say it's starts with the writing and the writing so good that you don't really have to try. Yeah. Yeah. I love playing a character. Who is an asshole? Yeah. You know, he's he's he's a good..

"It's gonna go down the history of somebody that was able to do a collection of that immense range, right? Without once ten shoes. Drop them in it will. Out. That's fucking insane. A cool day. I saw this this middle age white dude wearing the were in the white Jordan ones ride off white Jordan ones with like a grey checkered suit with a message scarf ever like just white shoes. White trainers with the seals funding fresh and that goes to show just how. How far that she resonate those connect that question wasn't only one by you know, those Muppets that you see on complex complex videos. Right. That's not such premium of, you know, the head to toe with every every single log on the sun is one by everyday people that just want to wear like a Kulu item that has a little bit of a creative artistic cultural and element to it. And they can kind of slip in there without being too showy showy, right? Because if you wear a pair of what the Dungs were the suit everyone's going back, and no you're adult Hiep's. But you wear pair of Jordans were soupy. We're going to think. Oh, okay. Who are you? What you do? Do you? Are you part of the crew supposed to have there's a very there's a very nuanced thing. That's something that you come by. There was something that he's able to do. But the point I'm saying is that if we let everyone in in if we're kind of allowing the conversation to change, right? If we allow people to come in. And if we're allowing. The kind of gatekeepers to kind of do away and stay on the sidelines. We'll come in let them prove their worth your shit. They're gonna die out. Anyway, it doesn't matter. Right. That the next person that comes off the voters going to be the one the next person that comes out to that person's going to be the one like it's just again, I'm just thinking of I'm just thinking because again, I was obsessive. Which were I was obsessed with finding out what Fraser cook does. I was obsessed with finding out the people who don't behind gimme five. I was obsessed with finding out. Like what the fuck must be good for your head. It must be an amazing time again 'cause I came up during the time when people were idealising, and what into really be wanting to be in wanting to be part of the whole Nike club Nike team. Right. "Thing. Saying this, what Jesse Williams, there was wrong and the reason it was wrong and it's not even really his fault. It is, but it's not. This is actually something I would expect to see a corporate boardroom full of coacher clueless people do, but Jesse got caught up in the hype of everybody out acting like the Nike logo. If Nike logo is the new black Nike shares just drop a ten percent. Every time you say the Nike logo. He got caught up in the height. It's not even his fault, right? The ended down of that he got caught up in the hype of everybody else's hype, and it caused him to make a mistake like it doesn't have to be accountable to be accountable. Well, he's an intelligent to this guy is like a research nuanced dude. He didn't. He didn't not think about this ought to be hype in his area show. So he's he's a, he's an intellectual Hiep's hard not to be in his era. If we we're, we're, we're sitting around right now. Yeah, we see everybody going crazy about something we're gone jumping on social media probably that's what is most people can't. They can't turn down. Award. They can't turn down a treat. If you're being patted on the back for good behavior for any behavior, you continue to do that fucking behavior. Yeah. So that's what it was. He got caught up in the hype train, and he wants to make a movie about MIT has a movie with promoting his movie. It says till coming soon with Nike, yes. Now with Nike, but he it was based off the Nike memes. Does as the bullshit it's okay. It does sound like some bullshit, but I know that the only thing that's going to be taken from this entire clip is. And I think he said the n. word at around fifty, seven fifty seven minutes and thirty two seconds. Stop saying Neagh, say. Those placards to be quiet when.

"It's going to be the same as the day before. And that is such a key component to, I think how both of our brains work is like, we need to be challenged something new every day, or we're going to get bored. And I think this between doing creative agency and the media company, we set ourselves up with a whole new set of challenges and the promotion thing or management or the DJ thing. And it's an it's so exciting everyday to come to work. I don't feel like I'm going to work feel like I get to work with my friends on something that is just incredible. I get to do things that I never thought I'd be doing and this for me, it goes all the way back to that keys in crates tweet that I was talking about earlier, which is, you know, ten years in you guys reinvented again, and you said it feels new and. You know, to me that's living the dream, like how could it be better than that to still be here ten years later and be starting again, you know? Yeah. It's impressive, man. I mean, for the people who don't know, maybe just very briefly talk about what you're doing with control forever, like to plug it for a minute. Okay, so plug you can play the creative agents. Okay, so control forever was conceived as a media company, and you know, that sounds vague, but we really wanted to be the west coast voice for music and culture film TV you name it and we felt like there's so much great stuff out. There's vices, complex, Hiep's high society. A lot of those felt very east coast focused. And there's so many interesting stories to tell in the mecca of entertainment here in Los Angeles, and it's not to say that we won't talk about stories outside of here, but we felt like the lens or the voice was not being told here. I'm sure there is public Asians, but we really wanted to put our spin on it. We felt like our us ourselves out of stored sell. So we have a host podcast. We have one the podcast ID myself. It's called neon, black, and I do it with Mike Catherwood who is on access Hollywood and love line. While he was on the line 'til they cancelled it, but he's on access Hollywood and shingle Maher editor in chief, and we kinda talk about we bring in managers and different industry vets and talk about music and what's going on, kind of more of a topical show. He has a show called creative control where you talk about talk to creatives, unlike the how to. We also have a no show which I was on on fun. We have another show called live forever. Whether girl it's a resident girls that kind of talk with influencers and different people, but health and wellness. And and then we have a digital magazine portion of the site where we create our own artwork and we tell stories. Through that lens that I just spoke to. And then we do have a big component of what we're doing a lot of video properties. So we've show call control control-freak with Mike Catherwood where he goes out and he talks to people who believe the earth is flat, and we just did a three part series on Abyan. We have a piece coming out where they went and talked to females who are Crips. Along with a male Crips as well, but kind of wanted to speak do female members of gang. And we just kind of it's so fun because we're telling stories that we feel like aren't being told yeah, or they're being told, but they're not the way we wanna tell them. So it's it's a, it's really, it's it's about a year in and it's were gaining steam every single month, the new subscribers and stuff. Check it out, control forever, dot com. We are at control forever and on Instagram. But yeah, that's the that's a shameless plug. Yeah. And so the the other component, like what we had talked about with kind of model of how it would work is that we would grabble these creative people, and some of them would just contribute and add things to the content creation house that is control forever..

"Look for an i expert my career shadow in the markets on a economist on economist business person it's not that high market valuations posed the threat hiep's low cap rates for real estate what i'm looking for his debt build up associated with those high valuations and that's what i'm watching for i think a market correction or real estate correction is not necessarily going to create a systemic chris khor slow the economy i think it might even be healthy but i'm looking for it and debt build up associated with it so far i don't see that but i'm watching it i think one of the reasons i haven't seen it is we've had very strong macroprudential policies for big banks and it will stress testing another strong measures of served as well so a more focused on debt buildup up and other excesses than i am valuation but i think as you get higher valuations and tighter credit spreads it tends to encourage people to take more risks news more leverage reach for a liquid assets swarm watching for that are there any areas that you are concerned about if you're not too worried about equity prices in general but of their other asset classes well i've of tom it a lot this year of of i'm watching 4 either excess debt buildup or people in asset classes that look liquid within a crisis become ill liquid so for example i've been scrutinizing and i've said this publicly the high you'll funds at offered daily liquidity krivi ice to run the high your business in my business group before i did other things and i know that a high you'll bud is a great example of an asset class that might be liquid today but in the crisis is very illiquid s at offer dailu acquitted he creates a mismatch i think the industry has worked to try to address that but that's an example of an excess that i'm watching i think it's manageable though and looking for things like that obviously credit default swaps counterpart exposure and those things i think we now have a better grip on because we have good stress testing we didn't have good stresstesting precrisis but i think.
