Breast Implant Illness

"Talking about breast implant illness. Recently discussions around the topic of resurfaced with a vengeance. There's being newspaper articles documentary. discussion boards. The whole nine yards. If you have implants you've definitely heard about breast implant. Onus you've researched it you've talked your surge nevada. It possibly stressed about it. But what exactly is it. Wise as much controversy around it and so many unknowns. I'm joined today by dr richard blaming. Dr kim taylor to discuss the ins and outs of breast implant illness. First things first. What is it so this is something. That's been around for decades pretty much since breast implants. Were benue so. It's a constellation of symptoms. Which a generally niger. That cold constitutional symptoms so things like headache. Fatigue blurred vision hair loss whole lot of things mental forgiveness which don't seem to be totally related to breast implants but there is very small number of women who developed a symptoms after they've had breast implants and unfortunately of those women who do get it there. There are some who are very very vocal and active on social media groups. I to Talk about this condition which can possibly influences other women so all the symptoms symptoms quite not general but you know could be applied to a litany of other illnesses or sickness exactly so they often symptoms which are related to sort of inflammatory top diseases. So things like arthritis and sla rheumatoid arthritis. So they're very very general and there's a bit of a crossover. There's a lot we probably don't know about it. I'm i'm sure it probably. It is a real thing and it does impact a very very small number of patients And unfortunately there are some women who of are of the belief that plastic surgeons are deliberately trying to poison women with breast implants and caused deliberate harm. Which is clearly nonsense.

By rejecting the arrival of anez ian rent the military in myanmar is very good at delaying things. The Truth About Water and Hydration

"Water is in everything. Think about a breastfed baby. All their drinking is milk. The body is able to remove the water from the milk. So the baby never gets dehydrated in the same way once. We start eating solid food. Our bodies continue to extract water from everything we consume everything we eat or drink counts so the water in your apple counts the water. That's in the bread that you eat counts. Even coffee counts. Any fluid counts. Look i get. This is a real record. Scratch freeze frame moment for a lot of people but we don't just get the water we need from plain water and if you have one of those days where you just drink coffee all morning and you don't feel great. Maybe you're a little headache key or a little jittery. It's not because you're dehydrated. Maybe you had a little too much coffee or you had it on an empty stike if you like drinking six classes a glasses of water day and your doctor hasn't advised against it. That's probably fine. What i'm saying is that there's nothing medical about this number. We get to make choices about what we put into our body and this is one of those choices if you think about it just using common sense and putting the medicine aside does it seem realistic that we evolve needing to consume that much clean water every day in the span of human history access to clean plentiful. Drinking water is a relatively recent phenomenon and even today in many parts of the world access in clean drinking water. Sadly isn't as easy as walking into your kitchen and filling up glass.

What Differentiates a Migraine From a Headache

"Let's talk about headaches here on the exam room. Podcast brought to you by the physicians committee and not just any headache. We're about the mother of all headaches. Today we are going to be talking about migraine headaches. What exactly they are. And then how your diet may be affecting whether or not your head is pounding or not and so. We have a gentleman with us here today. Who knows all about this matter. Fact did a comprehensive study on this very topic not too terribly long ago and with that we welcome. Dr neil barr back to the exam room. Thank you so very much for being here. Sir hijack great to be with you. Let's start with the surface level question. What is a migraine. And how does it compare to those day to day headaches that we all get great question. A migraine is not just a bad headache. untypical tension headache. That a lot of folks get is a dull ache lasts an hour or two. It's gone that's of beds. That's about it now. it can be intense. But the differentiates a migraine is that migraines are usually one-sided. They're often pounding and throbbing with your pulse. And along with it. You get lots of other things to. You're really sensitive to lights and sounds and sometimes you'll feel sick. You might even actually throw up. So it's it's a whole physical thing. as opposed to just Attention headache some people will get an aura beforehand. Not everybody but sometimes you'll see changes in your vision. That will warn you that the migraine is about to hit and we talk a lot about chronic illness on the show. Is there any research showing whether or not migraines can be genetic at all they can be and they can also strike at any time of life. Unlike so many conditions where you've got to kind of be middle aged for to happen You'll see them in kids. And i have to tell you check. There is nothing sadder than a kid. Who's got a migraine because they last a long time. They can last overnight the next day kids aren't in school They're just waiting in the dark and what they're hoping for is that they will fall asleep. Sometimes the sleep will arrest the migraine and they can function again but there are kids who have them a few times a week and it can be just really

"I live in eldorado park the south of tobruk. I'm a forty one year old mother off one. I have a ten year old boy. He's fine he's a bit of a headache. But you know how boys can be. I stay with my son and my mom in our family home and moved back home after i went to the uk. I mean to the u. s. for work and then i wasn't sure what to do for a living and is subsequently started a research company. I have market research agency. Which is what. I'm doing at the moment and i have a healthcare catering business which has expanded into beijing. And i'll tell you about it at some point in this interview because that's relevant so louis so. When did you first start worrying about the wine a little bit. I seem to remember you. Facebook message megyn of the blue and said i'm worried about my. Yeah i did. I was so happy and surprised to have good you interview on the radio. One of your first ones on 702 Jen i know you from way back so when i heard your name on the radio and we're doing this world without wind thing i thought oh my goodness this is right up alley. I've always been way of that. My drinking was going to be bed. So iran when i was a teenager. I don't know if i came across some literature or something. But i suddenly realized i was really predisposed to becoming an because i had a parent who was one. My father was a heavy heavy heavy drinker. He's late now. And so i became really stocky aware of the fact that i might end up becoming a heavy drinker. I did for most of college. Avoid drinking so. I stopped taking that little bud. Lav class of champagne that we have on christmas or new year. We do that as as black families. We have that one last to celebrate once or twice a year. So when i was about sixteen i stopped having their class because i was like. I'm going to become an alcoholic. Here i know with this is going so i didn't touch. I touched booze. But i really regulated up until i was about twenty five when i was working now i i had a stable income. I had a stable life. I worked for the municipality. I slipped into this routine of going to work coming from work. Going to gym by myself a storm and this became thing it became. I started having one every single day. And that's when it started.

Is Tutu Atwell Too Small to Succeed in the NFL? - burst 10

"Okay. This next receiver is a guy that you and i are. differ a lot on and with twenty fifth pick of the second round. The la rams selected to at well from louisville. Receive our end. I get their concerns. Ideal disguise five nine hundred fifty five hundred sixty pounds. People are questioning whether he's gonna be physical enough in the nfl. however this is a player. The i compare to markey's brown. I think that in order to be successful. He's going to have to gain a little bit more weight. But i think that to out will be able to develop especially with the la rams who don't need in the -sarily to be great outta the gecko. But i think that the upside for two atwal is especially there especially if he's going to have the matthew stafford throwing the ball and so it was back to murky brown when he was in college him and he had similar stats. Which is why. I'm bringing up the comparison the first place in his junior. He had seventy five receptions for one thousand three hundred eighteen yards in ten touchdowns. Now let me bring up to two atwal stats from his sophomore season. And they were very similar which end so to atwell in his sophomore year he had sixty nine sevens for one thousand two hundred seventy two yards and eleven receiving touchdowns and so these two guys. Besides the fact marquees brown ways a little bit more to travel or comparable. And if you're an you're seeing now to to out while falling to the fourth maybe even fifth out of your dynasty da and for me. I think that's a little bit ridiculous. Because for a guy that had a similar career to marquees brat and his cod season and similar upset that he should be considered a third round prospect for you and your dynasty rookie draft. And i'd say right now. Marcus brand is probably a second round. Pick but i think he could be worth a second or the round pick and this guy. Who's extremely fast as well. I think he's going to create separations and he's not just the speedster. He's not just the speedster he he gets receptionist as well on anyone who puts up almost thirteen hundred receiving yards in college. Season is a guy that is a good all amount of receiver as well. So don't just think of him as a speedster guy gonna occasionally break open deep here and there so yeah. I'm a big fan of to at wall of the i know Oh and one one last thing. He was picked in the second round so clearly. The rams do have a plan for two while. They're not just investing a second round pick in a receiver that they don't see being a great receiver in the long term and this by the way was the rams first pick all draft. If i'm correct so they might have even viewed him as a late first round pick. We don't know. But the fact that they spent their first round pick onto to By having good receivers shows you how much demands believe into Anyways kyle the floor is yours as to why you don't believe in to atwell. Well it says so much that i don't believe in two two at well. It's the fact. That so i am from louisville in. I watched a lot of this kid. He is a very good receiver. I agree with you. He's not just a burner. he is a good polish receiver and a lot of facets of football but my biggest problem is literally is just. This is and the fact that he's completely buried on the depth chart. I don't see any Any possibility of him getting in and becoming a number one receiver on that team like anytime. Soon robert woods. Anne cooper kupp. Both resigned extensions For last year So you already got those positions locked up now. You lose josh rhinos. But they already spent high draft capital on jefferson. Dan jefferson last year. So that position was already and then they spent another was a third or early fourth round. Pick onto harris harris could be used as a tight end. I think a lot of people saying he's going to be a tight end he he. They say he's listed as a tight end but he also weighs about twenty so if anything he's going to be like a a move titan. I don't see him being like inland blocker. But you already have tyler higby as well. You know it's just it's just a really crowded And you also have to sean jackson that they stopped they brought in you know so i. I'm just not sold that there's any opportunity for at least in the first year to now you like you said maybe a if you invest in this guy at the late third fourth round Me personally i'd rather just take dark throws on running backs. At this point you know even a third. The guys are projected to be thirds shrink or shrink. You know a rash of injuries and all of a sudden guys are going to get plight. Be starters and they're going to be valuable. You can train them. You know it would take a stream lee amount of circumstances for for you to for him to get on the plainfield him to productive enough for another team to to trade for him. It's just wide receivers just a position that you know if you don't put up stats people don't really wanna trade for him at all. I mean it's as simple as that you know and i know he has draft capital That's about the only thing. I think he has known. Form at one hundred fifty five pounds. I just don't know if it's worth the headache you know. But then again it only takes one person to trade and if you're only drafting him with the mindset of trading him than you're probably not gonna draft to tell to till In the first place. And if i don't know if it necessarily applies to atwells value the fact that the community hates him. Because there's going to be at least one guy and if you put up the stats. People are going to be willing to trade for him. So i i get that point but at the same time. I don't know if that necessarily applies to At wellness fair. Knock about the onto to at atwill. Because it's not actually something that to two at walt dead. It's more of the perception that people have about two. But it's it's what he didn't do. He didn't gain the weight which i think he will in the way he's still what in nineteen twenty years old. I think he's still

How to Change Direction & Get Big Results

"So your business is just not doing well. It's plateauing and maybe even is moving in the wrong direction. I've been there so many times in my entrepreneurial career where your business will grow it will have a good amount of growth. But then you just kind of get in a slump and you can't move the needle month after month. You're trying different things. Tweaking your marketing campaigns or tweaking. Your sales pages. You're doing different marketing strategies and sales strategies and after you've done a whole bunch of tweaks and things just aren't moving in the right direction. Little experiments little changes are just not going to cut it. So i do recommend you. Try those little changes in tweaks whether it's copy or your marketing strategies or running different kinds of ads all these little things that we try. Try them out because they may make a difference but when you have tried them and they're not making a difference that means there's something majorly different you need to do in your business. That means you need to make decision. You need to make a change. The scares you a little bit. What are some examples of those changes. The number one change that you can make that actually is not that hard to do practically but a lot of us have a lot of resistance inside of us from doing and that's changing our prices increasing our prices. Sometimes when we bump our prices up we may not get as many clients but we get more revenue in total in growth starts climbing up again. We also get a higher quality customer and client. That doesn't turn. That doesn't give us a lot of headaches. That doesn't cause us to spend a lot of time and energy to serve so a major change like a price change. We'll get you big results. This is just the nature of business. When you do something big you will get a big reaction. This can also mean changing your offering changing how you solve the problem. You're trying to solve actual changing your product. Some people call this pivoting but really a decision where you're saying what i'm doing right now is just not landing. I need to do something as a different. I need to change the game. Majorly

"The Maison with Kevin Nation, there are some days that you wake up and you're kind of running on empty, you just feel empty. You just don't have anything else. You and it doesn't necessarily mean, you didn't get a good night's sleep, it doesn't mean you aren't well-rested. It just you feel blah, you feel yuck. And this time of year, with any seasonal allergies, we all have it. The other day, my wife had one of her days where she just didn't sleep well and woke up. And you can just tell she was feeling empty the entire day, slight headache and just the weather change that was going on and it was a bad day, but it's tough because you wish you could minimize those bad days because of my allergies over the years. I've talked about this before. I have numerous bad days a month and you can never tell when they're coming, you can go to bed, feeling good and wake up in the middle of the night feeling, okay? And then, two hours later when you get up for the day, you just feel awful and you don't feel like you have any thoughts and it comes and goes, but I guess it's just part of the human life cycle. I know everybody's body makeup is slightly different. So what works for one doesn't work for another and while that's not the answer, at least we're all dealing with in some way, shape, or form.

Lack of Paid Sick Time Could Be a Barrier to Vaccination

"Of today everyone sixteen and older is now eligible to receive a covid vaccine in every single state more than two hundred million shots have already been given in the us so far about half of all adults have received at least one dose. The vaccine is free whether you have health insurance or not but even minus the massive logistics of distributing the vaccine there are logistics involved in getting it and some workers are having trouble getting paid time off to get their shots or to deal with side effects from the workplace culture desk. Marketplace's megan mccarthy carino has the story when washington dc software engineer lori. Barth got the vaccine last month Kind of kicked her but headache chills. brain fog. I don't think i could have read taxed on screen comfortably. Loan sit up in a chair. Barth didn't have to worry about working through the pain because she got her vaccine on a weekend and she has plenty of paid sick time. She could've used but not all workers do says vicki shavuot a senior fellow with new america. And you could very easily see how it would be financially impossible and potentially job risking for a worker to be able to get a vaccine. There is no national requirement that employers offer any sick leave much less a couple of days to get vaccinated and low wage. Essential workers are among the least likely to have paid time off says elite schools with the economic policy institute. They may not have a lot of power negotiate for when the best time is to have the vaccines that they make sure. They don't have to work the next day. Says it's important. That workers have vaccine time off on top of their usual sick leave.

Deliveries resumed late march. But now sixteen max. Customers have been forced to temporarily ground their airplanes due to production issues with power units certification of the triple seven x wide body has been delayed by last minute. Problem with the design of the aircraft flight control system and on the military front blowing continues to write off losses on the tanker program and was just ousted from a three way competition to build the next generation of ground-based us missile interceptors. Of a serious adverse event that you want to make sure before you go forward, you investigated thoroughly, and that's exactly what they're doing. They're pausing so that they could look at it more carefully. Six women between the ages of 18 and 48 developed blood clots a week or two after they were vaccinated. One woman died. "You know so i had to move the coat rack two feet to the left and guess what started happening again because reset own mind you know it sounds insane. Sounds insane but the thing is the coat rack even though is just move it was the same coat rack just a little bit to the left but because it was not where i want is the corner of my eye was used to sing. It had acclimated to. I was right back where i had been a month or two earlier and i think that's a lot that's a lot of life is like we. Maybe it's certainly some element of what he wants to be privilege or like. I don't know exactly what the word is. But we're fortunate enough of thinking about like we got we got fancy Takeout dinner the other night went to house a prime rib for the second time since the pandemic and actually had to wait on line for an hour. Wow order and pick it up but had this funny thought. It's so dark. And i was happy to do it. His house a prime rib. It's the best. It's you know. We want to treat ourselves for valentine's day special family dinner. You take that home and needed up and it was worth it and i just didn't line and took my mask awful lot. Authentic keep my phone listening to a podcast. But and then i thought to myself i just. We just spent a total of two hours from the time we left the house. To the time i waited in line on a very cold van ness avenue to the time they made it to the time we brought it home. It was two hours. But then i had this thought of like watching national geographic videos of people who have had the same bucket. They've had for ten or twenty years and the whole all the women. The family have to walk to a river or the potable water station to get their water for the day. And i was like oh my god. What a different world like. I'm like oh you know. I'm i'm real cheery because i'm i'm my two hours going in the service of eating a rabbi but then there are people who everyday have to do that over and over just to get water. Yeah and i'm not saying. I'm not saying that for clapping. Obviously but i do think it's a real. It's a real head scratcher. When you realize how much of the things to which we have become habituated just start becoming how things are and how the inconvenience of that thing not working. In the way we expect it day to day incredibly frustrating. What could be less sympathetic than somebody waiting for. Ups delivery that was supposed to be there an hour earlier or a day earlier. Yeah i feel. I feel i feel so angry and i want everyone to be fired and then i catch myself sometimes and what is wrong with you well and but the other thing just back to what you're saying a second ago and i'm not saying that you're doing no i know but i think in a situation like this you kind of realize how many points of failure there are when before you don't really think about any because on a regular day where things are just going the normal way like you can be really angry when you're taking the trash out in the bag rips like that's like damn it what that's so stupid like a ruin my day but then you realize well okay. What if the power went out and didn't come back on and what if it was really cold. And what if the gas didn't work. And what if you had no water. What if you like. There's so many things that we are reliant upon and it's interesting because if you know if you were to go camping you would prepare for it. You'd say okay. We're going to need a tent. We're going to need warm clothes. We're gonna need this kind of knife. We're going to need this other little hatchet. We're going to need a stove to cook with we. You know maybe we need to start. A fire. took her match. Yeah all of that stuff. So you're prepared right and then you know you're only going to do it for a period of time and even this right now even with all the people suffering like this will end in a week from now forgot your kindle. You could say well that's okay. We're campus that's right. It's for a couple of days. I can live without my kindle for a couple days. And i know unless something goes really wrong which i doubt it will. I know we're going to be back on back on highway. We're we're going to have popeye's fried chicken and internet and stuff like that. This is this is part of what i brought myself. And you know what you know. What merlin if the camping trips really that bad pack it up and you go home fire. You just walk away. Just get in the car. Leave everything there and you can't walk. You can't do that now. And that's the worst part of it. It's like you realize how completely dependent. We are unless europe rapper. Unless you're already out in on your land somewhere and running independent with your own well and everything else like you know but it makes you think like yeah. I really would like to have one of those battery powered things. They're like a thousand bucks. But you can plug all your stuff into them and they have like you can attach solar panels to them and then just one of my neighbors down the street. They re did they. They bought the house. It was a nice house as it was but they built a big addition onto it and we. We realized over the last few weeks that they also built a generator into it. And the generator runs off gas. So when the power goes out loud but we can hear the generator running and all their lights are on there watching. Tv and they're they're probably you know gambling and smoking cigars. Whatever you do when you're living like a king and everyone else's suffering but it's like you know and like i investigated. How much would that cost to get her own little texas camping version of the johnny cash which they're probably drinking and smoking big right. Yeah i'm stuck in my house camping. That's right and like you know so. We'll here this generator going. And you look out the window like those jerks you know and it's expensive. It's like five to seven thousand dollars for that kind generator system. It costs like three to five hundred dollars a year just to maintain it like the ones on cable news. We spent a lot of money. It's outside it. Looks almost like an air conditioner if the gas and then you can nominally. Run most of your house off of. Yeah but it runs. When i say cast into the house as a failed back do you probably you probably throw big sweat. You throw a switch switch but the thing is when i say it isn't like it isn't like having an extension cord already. It's already built into your whole house and raising. It's not gas gasoline. It's gases in your natural gas so it it's unlimited you don't have to fill it because we have guys. My friends become addicted to electric Going gonna have to go watch that. I already watch the aviator twice and goodfellas three times in the last week. That's then it's for your work man if your mental health your mental health For your health. Can i tell you about a second thing. That i like marilyn. I wish i wish you would. Dan is it anything. The more involved. The way that i that i interact with internet things like some help with that..

"So you know if if you had a way to world war one or world war two style. You know one thing you see a lot. What do you see. we learned this from napoleon. if you bomb the lines that are or the trains that are bringing supplies you know. Napoleon meet a lot of bad decisions. John's mma roderick mother calls and bonaparte put apartment a lot of bad decisions. You know you going east to attack. Russia over a very long line is going to cause problems. There's a very good info graphic about this pupil on the lines. The trains the bring the supplies. And you knock out the ability to communicate. You are isolating many different groups of your military. They've lost the ability to communicate. And i think i believe. Please don't email me. I believe that's what happened with the creation of the internet was. We need a way to make sure that one or more attacks that hurt the continuity of communication won't kill all the communication is it. Isn't that kind of right. i can look it. I mean. I think i think that is right. That is my understanding your more or less as well and you know. There's there's all kinds of things there where nobody ever. i mean. There was a time when you're telling that account or your whatever counting password passwords had to be invented because he was never assumed it was never again. We never figured that the people go in and want dick around and change your finger profile to make you look jerker whatever. Not passwords. were an invention of time. They weren't baked in from the beginning. It okay well we gotta fix that. Dos where people thinking about ddos in nineteen sixty eight. I kinda doubt it down at the latest update. I got perplex. The other day is about preventing. Do as a denial of service attacks because that infrastructure didn't exist in the will to do it. That's that's real weird. Supervillain joker stuff that they would not have thought cesar romero never would have done that in a mustache makeup interconnected and complex and i think i feel like that's an interesting topic for lots of things especially here. Do you have any thoughts on that. Does that and just talked a lot as i do. Is that resonate with you. Yeah no it definitely does. I think we're in a situation. Now where we really so much of an and i think this password thing all the time how many times i and i i think people who are listening could do this experiment. How many times a day is the phone. That has never left your hand or your pocket require you to reauthenticate with it. And how how. How stupid is that you just you just purchased something. Why would i want wanted again. You know i just i was. I knew the the phone knows it's me. Yeah i picked up my phone. I unlocked it. I went into the amazon app. Because i'm out of out of some kind of vitamin magnesium or something. I need order. That'll that'll give you the trotz. I need to order a new bottle of magnesium so now i have to go into the app the app. The app is now going to reauthenticate me. Even though i just authenticated by unlocking the phone. And i'm still holding the phone. I haven't there has been no pause in that. I haven't said it down even moved away from it. Nothing i have to authenticate again and then and then to authenticate. I have to launch one password which also hates me so now at three your mask. Yeah unless you're on that beta which kind of we're pretty well used now. You gotta do the masks of you know. Now i will tell you that authenticating with my finger. My face is much easier than typing in a password. As long as those things work but half the time. I have to with the passard. Anyway because it's been too long since the last time. I you've got to get goose and now you're gonna do it again. Goof them up and then another group them up and now you gotta get your fingers on there or if it's like dark in the room or whatever then nope you failed to authenticate your face. Now you have to type in your password again. Even though you've still been holding the phone the whole time it's like that kind of thing is a byproduct but would i rather my find worrisome. Having fun at your. I'm having fun at your expense. Because i think i would rather err on the side of security to me too and if somebody comes in grabs your phone you're logged in. They got the keys to your kingdom for awhile absolutely no. I'm not complaining saying it. We shouldn't do this. I'm saying it's dumb that we have to do it but also there's no other way to do it. There's no other solution as soon as we have screen doors and sometimes we have vaults. We don't need for everything. I don't want to have to do it with vault to take out. Well yeah. I think the take out the recycling. A screen doors fine. It'll be okay. And but how is that germain. Why i think it's super chip germain. You can't afford to make everything vault and you'd be foolish to make everything a screen door or just a happy portico like you. There are different ways. You need to help keep the honest people honest but in the case of large infrastructure projects you have to assume or build for something closer to a vault then screen door in a in a lot of cases. It's just that sometimes. Then maybe we didn't account for how heavy that vault doors. And if there's an unexpected seismic event now you can't open the vault and now you die again. The joker i don't know I'll find. I'm going to try and find some of these podcasts. But it's such an interesting way to think like we're the classic example for me is Back in florida the power or go off constantly. We fairly rarely lose power here for any length of time. But i still do the thing. I've always done. Which is i. Walk into the bathroom to mature. And i hit the hit the switch to turn on the light and believe it or not. The light doesn't turn on because the power's off. Now if you would ask me two seconds. Before i entered the room in which i mix rate is the power off. I would say absolutely the is off. And what's wrong with you. You're goofy. And then i hit the switch because i'm so accustomed to hitting that switch and having the lights turn on that i don't even think about it. It's when something changes that you're forced to realize how habituated you are to a certain way of being one point in early in the pandemic. We finally bought a coat rack but a coat rack. Put it in the hallway as you do and dan for at least a month. I did this several times today because you weren't used to seeing it there and what it looks like the person because it's got the hat on it and he's got shoes. My daughters my daughters goth. You know trench coat that she has now. It really does the person so loses double funny to me because it honestly did. And then i of course i enquired am kid. Wouldn't cop my wife did yes. Of course all the time for weeks. We kept getting freaked out now. If you looked at it dead on you go. of course. that's a coat rack. I'm not an idiot. I did go to a state school. But i'm not stupid understand coat rack. That was funny and then at some point. I didn't even realize this until i realized it was. I had stopped being freaked out by by seeing the corner but then a funny thing happened. Which is a long story short. We gotta roomba and have a lot to share about the wisdom things in life lessons. I've learned from my roomba. One of them is we would move stuff around to try and let them get better idea of the floor plan and you know so i had to move the coat rack two feet to the left and guess what started happening again because reset own mind.

"Fun you can mix knowing no We got at the highest point in my yard. I've got maybe about a foot and a half of snow and it's really weird but the thing is like again in philadelphia growing up. That wouldn't be a big deal. Why because like you said before we have mr plow. We've got salt on the streets. We've got a whole infrastructure. That's designed for this. We've got water. The water mains are designed for this the pipes in the walls are designed for this and houses up there and apartments are designed to insulate against the cold. Not just against the heat which apparently is different. So were you know like it really. I don't wanna talk about this the whole time but like you know danna either. Even though i'm interrupting you that's nowhere near how much i have to say about this. Here's the photo of the frozen tub. And i'm also want skin remained reminded of my my worst friend. john's syracuse. Who likes to hire you know. He's always got it harder than everybody else. You know gore walked to school uphill snow and he's always talking about how in california one thing where he is. Almost right is that when he says oh you know he's always talking about like how you won't have to weather is a home. Yeah massachusetts you have to prepare for a set of circumstances. That are very likely to happen. There's not going to be a year when there's not snow that could cave in. I don't know exactly. But you know what i mean stuff like you're going to have to like i'm watching dr drang in illinois deal with snow and they're mr plow but you have to prepare for a situation now will happen that year. There's not going to be a year without snow. Which is a wonderful children's book. There's going to be a year with us. Now you prepare for that and then you also have to prepare for that in some ways for that twenty year or fifty year event. Yeah increasingly feels like you have to prepare for the hundred year event. We have a lot of hundred year. Floods like we didn't use to have yeah and Somebody wants somebody said yesterday that the current temperature map of the united states looks like a seven eleven burrito frozen in the middle and scalding on the sides flynn floor. It's hot right now. Yeah i thought that was pretty. Yeah but but syracuse selects to give a crap and say you know joke about california you could just keep all your stuff on the porch because it never rains. Whatever the treat this. "A sinus headache may also present with your ears, feeling plugged or kind of full or like they might need to pop like you're going way up or down a mountain or on an airplane, or you may have some swelling or puffiness in your face. Those are four of the major types of headache, but I want to in this episode by also covering a rare type of headache. Just in case any of you out, there are experiencing this. The HIP nick. Headache is a rare form that occurs in folks who are generally between forty and years old. It occurs exclusively at night and last usually between fifteen minutes to an hour. They also tend to happen at the same time each night and tend to be on your entire head, not just one side like migraines typically are, and they are not associated with runny noses or tearing up or any of the other types of features that generally accompany cluster headaches. They do have specific treatments for that type of headache. Especially those that don't respond to usual headache medications, so if these have been plaguing you, please reach out to a doctor and ask if perhaps you may be. With hip nick headaches. I hope that you all have learned a lot about headaches with me today I know I sure learned a lot, and after some caffeine this morning and some food I feel a little bit better. The headache still lingering, but it has doled quite a bit so that headache troubleshooting has worked out pretty well I'd say I'm down to a mild headache instead of a moderate to severe. What if you're also experiencing a headache today? I encourage you to drink some water. Perhaps lay down if you are able to, and put a cool calm press on the part that aches remember ten minutes. Minutes on ten minutes off and also have a cloth barrier in place to prevent tissue damage. If you have any particular headache, remedies that specifically work for you that we did not cover today, please do share them with US Anthony.

"Fortunately I can sit relatively in the dark most the time and just let it pass through, but not a lot of folks are able to do that. So if you have folks in your life, who are experiencing these migraines, and you're in a position to help them out like if you're their boss, and they are calling in with a migraine or letting. You know that they have a migraine. It's the kind thing to do to go ahead and ask if they need the day off. It's just nice to be nice. It's good to be kind and a lot of times. Folks with these migraines really need that, and you're not going to be able to get as high quality of work from them at all from a management perspective, while they have the migraine because everything hurts at that time, so just having a little bit of empathy for folks who are going through Migraines can help allot and i. hope that if you didn't know anything about them before that this helps you to understand a little bit more from their perspective. At my old job manager, I would let people go home early with Migraines of course, and I would also offer to let them go home early if they were on their periods, because that's something that I was able to do, there was no rule against that at all, and if there had been I would have been having words with my bosses about it, but you can make those changes in your workplace, too. I was the only female manager out of eleven managers on my first business unit, and so that was just something that never occurred to my male counterparts, because they did not go through it themselves. So, that's something I started offering and just making sure that these folks who had uteruses were able to take the day off if they needed it if they felt that it wasn't that bad, and they could power through it. They often did, but I like to give people the option. It also is solid for a company culture, and just for being a good considerate leader. There's no reason to make. People be there even from a management purely business perspective. If they're not going to be able to work anyway, and you're more likely to get higher quality work if they need that break. And in that regard, it doesn't matter to me whether the headache is real or fabricated, but if you create a culture in which your employees know that when they come to you, they can tell you the truth and. Just. Be totally honest with you and still feel heard.

"So as I mentioned earlier when I'm going through my headache list I check for if my ponytails too tight, wander caffeine food, and then I also relax my shoulders I them, so if you have not dropped your shoulders today, go ahead and do that with me now and relax your jaw. If you have your teeth clenched, or your tongue cemented to the roof of your mouth. Relax, those muscles to those are all very important. Relax your temporal muscles as well. Your jaw is actually anchored up there, too. There are many large and small muscles and your craniofacial area, so your face your head, and even down the top part of your jaw, and your neck, and these are all anchored to your skeleton. That's the way that you're muscular. Skeletal Anatomy Works. The muscles have to be anchored to something. So if these muscles especially those like you're terrified or your master, these muscles that are associated with chewing and with your jaw. If those become too tight, it can cause a lot of pain as it relates to that area of your head, and so with your head, and your neck remember, that's where all of these nerves and muscles and blood vessels are, that can result in a headache so loosening those up by relaxing, those muscles can vary much help. Relieve a break. It may sound silly the name saying that. That you should drop your tongue from the roof of your mouth or make sure that you are not clenching your teeth per se because you're like. Hey, it's not my teeth hurt. It's not my tongue that hurts, but they could really be contributing to your headache by causing that stress, whether that is physical, or whether these are physical manifestations of your mental or emotional stress, so it's important to keep those in mind, and perhaps fall along with some of those relaxation exercises that we have discussed in previous episodes. You can also do some mindful meditation if you'd like to alleviate stress from the mental and emotional places in the self rather than just the physical for me, I tend to carry all of my stress in my stomach and in my musculoskeletal system. "Assistance, as it could be something more insidious than just a simple headache. Now. I WanNa talk to you guys about the types of primary headaches, so I up Migraines, my old nemesis. Some, Migraines I one of the most common forms of headaches, but not all headaches or migraines. migraine is typically referring to a headache that is on one side of the head, but it can sometimes be on both sides. That headache typically last anywhere from two to seventy two hours. So this can last like three days. You guys and I have indeed experienced migraines. Have lasted that long. A lot of times eight is accompanied with nausea and vomiting and sensitivity to light and or sound. And the type of pain associated with this headache is generally a throbbing type of pain. There are a few different categories of Migraines, though so we have headaches than we have primary headaches, then Migraines, and then types of migraines. So within these categories of Migraines. We have some that are preceded by a warning symptom like an aura, and those are known as the classic Migraine, or also called the migraine with an aura. If you're migraine starts with just pain, and you don't have any warning signs then that's just known as a common migraine. Grain Without Aura, so I understand that can be a little bit confusing, because one is common in one is classic, and those typically communicate the same type of concept, but that is what they are called. So if you prefer to refer to them with the or a component, you'll still be communicating the same thing, but perhaps in a clearer way. Now. What do I mean when I say Ora-? Well a Migraine with an aura means that you have some type of sensory disturbance at the time that could be seeing flashes of flights or having blind spots or other vision changes, or even tingling in your face, or in your hands, so these are symptoms of what they call the Laura. And with the ARA, it's just the headache like it normally would be, and you don't have any of these sensory disturbances whether that is in feeling or in seeing. If you have one of these or the other. You're generally going to receive the same treatment, and you can try to prevent migraines with Auras with the same medications and self care routines that you might normally use for other types of Migraines. So with your migraine aura symptoms you usually you're going to get them about an hour or less..

"If necessary, there are many different types of headaches, and they can vary significantly in numerous ways they can vary by their intensity, their location, the frequency, and also there 'cause. But. We talk about headaches primarily in terms of primary versus secondary headaches. So primary headache is when the headache is the main problem, so your primary issue is the headache, eights not a symptom of another disease or condition like when you get perhaps a flu or a head cold, and you have a headache as a symptom or something accompanying that it's also not a side effect of your medication. So while the pain from that primary headache can be really debilitating. They're typically not dangerous. The brain itself cannot feel pain. It does not have nerve endings attached in such a way that it can feel pain, so the pain associated with those primary headaches are coming from inflamed portions of pain, sensitive areas of your body, generally those around your neck and head, and that can include your nerves, your blood vessels and your muscles. Sir Member, not in the brain, but in the head and neck area, and sometimes that pain radiates out a little bit. It just depends on what is being inflamed at the time. and. There are a few different categories of primary headaches. These are the ones we commonly refer to. When we're speaking of headaches, some examples include migraines cluster headaches, tension, headaches and hip nick headaches. We're GONNA dive into those here in just a few minutes, but I I do want to go ahead and cover secondary headaches. Secondary headaches as you very well may have guessed are those that are caused by another condition that is triggering those pains, sensitive areas in your neck and head, like those nerves, blood vessels and those muscles. These are rare headaches, but they can also be a lot more serious than primary headaches. Secondary Ones can be warnings of a more serious condition like brain tumor in Aneurysm, neck, or brain, injury, or even meningitis, which can be caused by bacteria or viruses, making your brain become inflamed. So. These secondary headaches usually start just out of nowhere the kind of blindside you and they are completely excruciating surf. You're having a sudden debilitating headache, and it is just absolutely crushing and excruciating for you, then go ahead and call your doctor ace at some websites, even recommend that you nine, one one and get immediate emergency medical.

"I have some bad news. I've just been notified. The email from apple subjects lined your apple news channel. No it hasn't been updated in this. Is Marco Dot Org? We noticed that you have not published Marcus at Org channel in three months or more your channel be removed in one week period. Oh well good. Cre- regards the Apple News team. Oh well. It doesn't say that if I publish now it'll get me out of this. It just says you're moving a week period like there's no if you don't publish got the same notice but the but they're notice said if you call there's something in a reactivated maybe I'm wrong. I think that was Dana Jacket. But I don't know anyway. It's the market in channel. I don't care I like I. I don't know how many first of all I published. My channel just doesn't RSS Feeds submitted to them and my regular ours is feed. I don't have any special apple news tags. So I I think they were deprecating s base channels anyway aren't they deprecating them or something anyway kept up that. I tried to do the same thing and something must be wrong about my rss feed because they always refused it for reasons. I never quite understood and I didn't care enough to fix it and nobody has ever ever ever asked me about it now. To be fair I probably have one tenth of your readership but nevertheless I can't remember a time that anyone was came in. Can you put that National News? I honestly would be surprised if my readership could be divided evenly into tents like I might have eight people reading it in Apple News. I think it's going to be a very small number. Never liked that apple news APP when I never tried to get. My annually updated blog into it for multiple reasons. Well DARN GONNA lose all those eight page. I don't even measure pages anymore. How did they even show up? Like how would you tell someone can travel news? Have Their user agent. I assume there. There's probably at least like a crawler user agent and I would assume that every time they view the page. Maybe if we're going to report after sign up for like I because I don't think it's actually making a web request to you weeks time right. You have to go to the Special Apple Webpage with no API and you have to look at. You have look at a graph where they round things. Yeah right I have to go to like apple web connect or something and and look at only opt in stats for people who viewed my content. And Yeah I don't even I don't even look like I don't have logs enabled. I don't even have google analytics enabled anymore haven't for years. I had like when I publish something on my site. I have absolutely no idea how many pages gets and it's incredibly liberating like. I highly recommend anybody out there who like has stuff online remove the counters. You will be shocked how great it feels or just have no make you. Don't worry about speaking of apples like websites where you supposedly can go to see some kind of number. You would think that the one web system they would have that would be accurate thorough fairly. Well vetted would be stuff related to the APP store because that's real money If you don't have a free APP it's real money traveling back and forth and real money. Usually people are accounting for the real money but boy they you know they not make it easy to figure out what's going. I mean maybe this is just not understanding money. Granted I'm not. I'm not an accountant. I don't understand. The world of finance is very confusing. But I have to APPs the the second most simple thing I can imagine doing during any a given pay period. I'M NOT GONNA say month because I know finances too complicated for pedestrian concepts like months any given pay period. How much money did I make off of one of my aps? But there's no tell that I mean they have a report that supposedly gives you an answer but the answer is wrong and I know that because for one pay period I only had one month one APP and so I could say now. Run the report and tell me. How much did that one APP make during that period and it's different than the amount they paid me? This is their system. I'm never going to know how this works. It's close it's like within two percent like maybe refunds or something. You're kidding so I run the reports and I download them and I keep them. But it's just like I don't understand why these numbers not match up in the end. The money they give me the money they give me and I trust the dust the money. They're supposed to be giving me but you know. Try running those reports doesn't make any sense. Yeah it's so two things number one I recommend using figures is a paid service is not an ad but yeah I have found is the best way to kind of make sense of apples weirdo reporting and provide useful graphs and everything. I've been using them for a long time. But the F. is also does not match the amount actually received from apple against US sales they also have the payments area. The payments usually car able to derive what it actually means right but I I get one. I don't do what you do which I should've which is like one apple. Id APP right. So I have my two APPS under one appleaday so they pay me some amount and some of that is attributable to last and some of it's attributable different center. How much free chap I mean again. You can run the report like pass filter by parent. Apps that it's in their software and then they give you a graph that's rounded and then you can download accelerator has exact number five hundred decimal places but it's off. It's so hard to just try to solve them. Figure IT OUT. Sometimes it's a few cents or whatever just annoys me. Yeah that's why like back forever. When I had that stupid idea to have some kind of like pay overcast dollars a month and then all split it up between the podcast you listen to and distribute it to them like. I was thinking about doing that kind of scheme before. Podcasters told me they don't want that a surprise nobody wants to be getting in the way of them and their money. I should know that before because I'm the same way but I for some reason I didn't think about that anyway. So one of the problems with that plan is assuming had to take at purchase because otherwise apple would never allow it not only thirty percent But also I would have no good way to to account for like how much money that I actually receive from user. Id One two three four this month. 'cause you get that lump sum payment and you can't actually know like you can't you? There's no way to correlate a user. Id to an amount of money you definitely received because there's so many different exceptions and there's things like refunds cancellations there's foreign currency exchange messes everything up the exchange. The exchange stuff is like all those things that are often could entirely different exchange rates because the reporting that what you got paid what the exchange rate was at the moment of the Blah Blah Blah. Theory the big finance agreement but then the reporting could be different. It's very confusing. Yeah and like the whole reason. Why early the whole the whole basis of a system like that would be like? I need to know when you know for your seven dollars. You know how to split it up between the PODCAST. You listen to the whole this actually plays into the whole world of big services like youtube premium or read. Whatever it's called this month Or spotify or apple music anything where like the customers pay a flat rate and that gets distributed based on whatever they listen to like to artists or whatever the way those work is incredibly scam prone because they can't do it either they also don't track. Your five dollars does not get split between the five artists. You listen to this month. Everyone's five dollars a month goes into a giant pool and they just track number of listens so it doesn't matter if you listen to five artists this month and bought somewhere in Russia to one hundred thousand artists this month. Your money's pulled together first and then it's divided up by views so you might think that you are helping like the three bands you listen to a lot. You only listener three and spotify this month or whatever but no. You're not helping them at all like you'd be a lot more if you left everything streaming all day twenty four seven like and there's this whole ecosystem of scams and click farms and all this other crap like increase view counts and time spent listening stuff like that to skim off more of the pool than what they actually have earned. It's a whole thing and of course I didn't want to deal with any of that and my stupid plan wouldn't have wouldn't have really worked that way anyway but the reason why no one does that is because it's too hard to track how much money you actually got from each individual person each month and in the end you're trusting the same company to do accounting on itself right. It's all sort of like an honor system right so I mean they have no particular reason until they start getting pay off the record. Companies to use them lingo from the seventies or whatever but like apple doesn't have any particular reason to lie to you about how much money you're making right but it's also just well you know like that's my like my instinctual. I A feeling when the APP store was announced that people are going to stop receiving checks from customers and start. Receiving checks signed by Apple. It seems like it's the same thing but it's not. It's way that used to though it used to be for the first two or three years of the APP store you would get paid in wire transfers from I think seven or so different places around the world from various apple subsidiaries for different regions. So every month you would get seven wire. Transfers six of which were foreign wire transfers so depending on your bank account you might be paying like hundreds of dollars a month and wire fees and then you have to resolve all right. Y- like seven different deposits and it was crazy setup and unfortunately a couple of years and they fixed it to just have one direct deposit and that I got to. I got to this last pay period. I got to apple. Deposits L. Really I don't understand the other APP actually. Yeah it's one per apple. Id because you you'll have the one. I'm selling both roosting. I I have have received payments months when both were for sale and I got one payment Right this time. I got to payments which signed like they want to send me three payments for payments money. Just mysterious I just noticed them as separate line items in my bank account. I'm like That's funny where they send the. It's the right amount. If you add them together you know there it is. That's all weird. I'm still angry about the fact that I couldn't change my company named I complain about that. On the show at some point now was so angry about it when it happened but by the time we recorded. I chilled out and realize it doesn't actually matter but boy in the moment I was angry I actually sent the closest ever gotten to send during an angry email was replied to some helpful. Person was trying to tell me what I wanted to do. Was NOT POSSIBLE THOUGH. Those like this is dumb so angry. I got an email literally for. This is dumb spitting fire there. John Thumbs down. I just like I was angry but but I didn't WANNA say something. That was angry but like what can I say? That's not based on emotion but his true. I'm like you know what this is. Actually it is truthful statement. I'm talking about is since I had just freshly signed up for you know my developer coundon all that stuff remember it at some point during the process. The something you guys might not remember this because know that you signed up Margaret. This didn't even exist. It was like Oh and by the way as you're clicking through these things type and stuff in boxes if you'd like your practice show up on the store like with a different name that's visible to customers. Type that name here and at the time I signed up I was doing just me like my name right and so now I don't want that right. Just Johnson Accuses. Find Chopin the developer in the store and I did that for a while and eventually amend myself company and switch it over to that and that took like a month and a half to get through all that red tape. And I'm like and then I went to the APP store and I realized that my name was no longer visible..

"Negatively affect your body when taken over a long period of time yet by far far the most common cause of headaches is having low blood sugar? That's right. I'm sure our listeners heard US talk about low blood sugar so if you're head starts to throb about three o'clock in the afternoon it could be from that low blood sugar these days. Everyone everyone seems to be so busy. Some of my clients and I gotTa admit in the past. This was me to We work right through lunch and and then three o'clock comes around what happens. We are blood. Sugar shots are really drop. It goes dips below that seventy and our brains them become deficient in that sugar or glucose that our brain needs to function. And what happens. We get a headache and we feel feel tired. And we're probably a little bit spacey. You know kind of been one of those foggy afternoons right So some of us have very reese sensitive blood sugar regulating genes and for some individuals. The blood sugar can swing high and then go low. I yeah always refer to it as that roller coaster ride blood sugar ride right so actually very high blood sugar levels and very low blood. Sugar levels can both result in a headache right. And that's important to know that these blood sugar drops don't just happen in the afternoon. They can happen any any time when we've gone too long without eating so a good example is if you skip breakfast. It's very possible that your blood sugar or your glucose level may they drop about eleven o'clock in the morning and you will feel a lightness in your head. Your neck muscles. Maybe the start of a headache. I know sometimes if I get up early and get started on a project at home and get sidetracked. You know I might start having that little bit of a headache and that reminds me to eat because I know it's my blood sugar and then I eat right away right right that that can happen very easily if you have another one that might happen as as if you have a really early dinner. And then don't have an evening snack. Headache might actually occur somewhere. You know three three thirty in in the morning and suddenly your brain you know. It's deficient again in that glucose and that's going to cause you to wake up and oftentimes you. You may have a headache and then of course how are you going to get back to sleep with that headache. So we recommend eating a snack before bedtime preferably about a half a cup of fresh fruit and some healthy fat. I love you know peanut butter and my apple. That's kind of one. One of my go-to that's a quick one. Yeah you could also do a half apple with Almond butter or something like that or blueberries and some heavy whipping cream. That's GonNa do the trick right so usually a small serving of fruit plus one of those natural healthy fats. Fats will help. Keep your blood sugar level above that seventy mark And you're going to be able to stay asleep and be free of those Nasty Asti headaches. That's right and that low blood. Sugar causes headaches because we need a constant supply of glucose to the brain for for it to function properly and when your glucose level drops the brain is one of the first organs to be affected. So lack of Glucose Glucose to the brain can cause severe pain and pressure and that can lead to a headache. So I'm sure many of you are thinking you know. So what are are some of the common causes of low blood sugar. A couple of the common causes are well one. We talk about kind of skipping meals or going going to long between meals and snacks So that would be probably at least longer than two and a half hours. Sometimes I can go four. Yeah Yeah but you know I prefer doing kind of the three three and a half right in there. But everybody's different so we have to kind of figure that out on our own right no no and as I previously mentioned some people have very sensitive blood sugar regulating genes and those people might need to eat almost every two hours and I think those people generally know it because when they come in and we're doing a meal plan they'll say I don't know if I can go three hours then we just Kinda dial that in in individualize is it so some medications can affect blood sugar balance and certainly a number of blood pressure meds of fact our blood sugar sugar balance so if you are diabetic or pre diabetic you know. Some of those oral medications for Type Two diabetes or insulin resistance can lower your blood sugar far too much and that can create a low blood sugar to the brain situation so some of those undesirable effects are headaches and brain fog. Yeah I call you. Know kind of spacey definitely so so listeners. I really I have a question for you. Have you ever been on a low calorie starvation type weight loss diet and and kept getting headaches and having maybe some anxiety eamon so for many people that intermittent fasting result else in headaches so we have to be aware of that at nutritional weight and wellness. We believe that you will experience better weight loss. Better Moods better memory memory and fewer headaches if you try to eat three to four ounces of protein Couple of cups of vegetables and again unhealthy fat about tablespoon of healthy fat. Every three hours. I have a quick story about intermittent fasting. One of my clients took a little too far and was going about eighteen to twenty hours a day in her long stretch overnight which stretched into most of the day she ended up spiking with a high cortisol level in ended up gaining weight instead of losing weight. which was her goal? Oh so she was stressed stressing out her body. Careful with that in some try to do it for like twelve hours fourteen hours which is generally okay but you know going too long is a problem. Yeah definitely it is a problem and I think it's time to take a break here. So you are listening to dishing up nutrition and at this present time we are living in an environment with eighty thousand toxic chemicals and very few have been tested posted for long term impact on our health according to the environmental working group. Most of the babies born this year your had two hundred and eighty seven known toxins in his or her umbilical cord. So yeah that that. That statistic is amazing. Isn't it so if a newborn has two hundred eighty seven known toxins in their umbilical cord or body. How many do you think we have as adults and how these toxic chemicals affect us in many different ways? I'm sure so here are a few examples. could be skin rashes. It could be weight gain. Cancer might be any one of them auto immune disorders and our topic. Today it could be a headache so we recommend that you eat organic organic organic meats. Vegetables fruits and fat to limit your exposure to these toxic chemicals. And we'll be right back. Welcome.

"Move for PT dot com slash choose PT. And now back to this episode of MU Ford radio now, I realized that all all cases are different and there are different types of headaches and so on, but what might the duration of physical therapy. I mean is this something that with the help of a physical therapist might be resolved in a matter of days weeks gonna kinda can be longer. So that's a good question. Because that also depends on what type of headache the person has. So if the server Janik, neck pain headache, those symptoms can be resolved in as little as four to six visits. But if patient may receive up to eight to twelve visits, but we can almost say that physical therapy should take care of that kind of headache. No problem, whereas a migraine headache because migraines are so complex. We may have patient and physical. He's for 'cause he twelve is up to eighteen visits for various reasons person with a migraine, we wouldn't progress. Them as quickly because there's some things are going to be more eared -able, so they are more sensitive. So they may receive more session with a gradual progression. And then attention type headache kind of falls in between could be as little as eight visits up to twelve is it with attention type in surfer genyk, we can be confident that there's sometimes real decrease and improve to almost a hundred percent. Whereas the Nygren we're hoping for any kind of relief migraine, again is very complicated. So it's really hard to say how much really they'll get. And I'll usually tell the person or the patient that we should see some kind of difference. But I can't tell you how much of the difference. We should note that headaches or a specific clinical interest viewers. Could you tell us a little bit about why why that is what what led you down that road? And and what if you will you find particularly challenging and perhaps rewarding about working with people to identify the source of their headache and to try to alleviate it. So how'd they have become such passion mine for many, different reasons, but I was trained to therapies so I started to see just a typical PT case the neck pain headache type of patient. And then when the word got out that I treated headache. Then I would get patients where they didn't fit that criteria of the Serb accused Rennick neck pain headaches. So I had to do a lot of research and reading on other types of headaches and things where I could provide a really good differential diagnosis and figure out. What's exactly going on with the patient as far as what type of headache, they may have? So that I can give the best treatment to that patient. So that's one reason. And then just seeing a lot of headache patience throughout the years. I feel like us this caseload these patie-. Can fall through the cracks where people aren't sure what to do with them like different healthcare. They may see a variety of different healthcare providers and not get the care. They need simply because maybe a certain healthcare provider wasn't trained in headache. So for example, I just have this girl who found me online? And she said she'd been going to doctors for five years without any relief, and she was just exhausted. And then finally she looked me up. She told me online came to me for a few sessions, and she started feeling better right away. Just by the education that I'd given her. So I just feel like it's I guess you could say it's underserved, or many people don't know that PT can make such a big difference with these patients, and you must have other stories like that. I do any other cases come to mind where you were able to help someone who perhaps thought that there. They weren't gonna get any relief anytime soon. Yes. I have tons of stories, but another one that comes to mind, and this one is time is I have a patient that comes to me saying that they've been diagnosed with migraine and they've been taking my migraine medications and doing interventions for migraine, which has not help. Then I'll do my valuation in the clinic. And it turns out there headache was not a migraine, and it was actually different types of headache coming from again, I see a ton of surpa Janik neck pain headaches. So again, it was one of these types of headaches. We did physical therapy and they were already feeling differences in two weeks of therapy. So I do see a lot of that the migraine diagnosis because I feel like everybody thinks the headache is a migraine. So as much education as we can get out there that there's tons of different headaches and different things that you can do based on headache. You have I just like to get the word out on that an educated as many people as I can on that case. Doing the case with migraines. I mean, people think I have a migraine. It's just something I'm going to have to kind of manage over a very long period of time. But it could be something that can be in fact resolved. Yes. So typically migraine headaches start in the front and radiate backwards, whereas the neck pain or tension type headaches usually start in the back of the head and radiate forward. So that's one one way to start teasing out, what type of headache the patient may have. So finally, if a person is experiencing a persistent headache, a Denise, and they kind of don't know what's going on. What do you recommend that the person do about it, and perhaps not do? So I would definitely save it. If it's a new symptom, and it's persistent to see their doctor or the come to a physical therapist to nose headache to ask them questions to help tease out. What might be going on with them? That's important to this objective. Questions are so important to help tease away. What helped her provider might be appropriate for them? So it might be something. As simple as a go. See your regular doctor, or let's get a prescription for European or if they have other symptoms related to their headache again, like neuro symptoms weakness dizziness, then we may refer to a different position like in our allergist or some something like that Denise Schneider. "Our body. Do what it was naturally designed to do in. I am a firm believer in. I was actually told back that I worked without this spa that you're meant to live with headaches in. I I remember hearing that and being like almost like how dare you? Because you haven't lived my life in like, I can't control this like how can you say that to me like what are you saying that I'm broken but in? In fact, it's like there's a lot of things in my life that needed to change. And then it's like, yeah, we actually aren't meant to live with headaches. So we use these essential oils. We learned that they help our body do is nationally designed to do. But with that point is well when I first got into central oils. I remember I was actually teaching at the time at the local high school, and I put a specific oil in my diffuser, and I put a lot in everyone at said like go slowly s- when you're first Weiner beginner like only one to two drops. Now is like whatever you guys, you're crazy. So put like seven drops in there. I had the worst headache in that room. And I was like so again for me, I'm norm- I'm used headaches. I'm like, well, what is what's going on? Like, why am I having this horrible headache ends up? I leave that room and actually the headache goes away. So I was having to reaction to this oil that I was using which actually I'd heard at the time like sometimes you can have sort of like this detox reaction to these oils. Because there's so much junk that we are just our bodies are under attack. Like, I was talking about that these oils kind of have to come in and let clean us out. So we might experience some affect so with that if you get into oil, you're trying to help out these other issues understand that you might face those issues in the first half of it or the first part to then get you to the ultimate goal when you're bound certain. Yeah. I remember getting the text from you because you're like a brand new and you were so excited to use your oil yet. You're likes him. I I don't think I can use these oils like this is making my headache worse. No like you like you gotta slow down. You gotta ios last. And like politically stick with it. So. Yeah. Are you glad you did? Oh, my yes. And this is one of the things that I'm so passionate about them because it changed my whole life style. So it was like dipping the toe in the water. And now, I'm just all in. But the oils were the thing that kind of helped me be intrude to this to this world to this lifestyle. Yeah. So Pinkus, a little picture of kind of what that looked like for you. What were your favorite oils like when you were having a headache? Which would you kind of go to maybe where would you put them on your body, and what are those kind of lifestyle changes that the oil's really helped you implement the have made such an impact? Absolutely. Okay. So first things first, you know, you get you get your pack of like eleven oils, and you start using them for all the things right again. I don't want ever say I'm just gonna use this one oil for this symptom. So I want. It to be using Daij is or one for that helps support the digestive system. I wanna be using.

"Here with us talking about headaches? And now we're going to dive into essential oils. How can essential oils really combat some of those triggers and contributing factors. We've been talking about at least. Absolutely, well, I think one thing to note that's important in my history is one of the biggest reasons that I got into a central oil is coming out of that hole dairy. No acne season learning that what goes in and on my body matters. Is that I was like, okay, I'm ready to get rid of headaches. And at the time, it was more of a free rein on things that you could say like essential oils could do. So you know, I had heard that they could help with headaches. And so I was kind of treating them like a medication with like just like I would with my ibuprofen house. I this medication will help me not have a headache. Sounds like lemme treat essential oils the same way. Well, that's where I kind of got into it and noticed quickly that that's not the way it necessarily works. So I think one of the things before you start. Wanting to use essential oils for different things is to think of them. Not like we do medication which is more. So symptom management, but we need to look oils as a lifestyle like a lifestyle that supports overall wellness. 'cause if we're supporting our digestive system, which is, you know, our gut is linked to our brain. You know, we're going to be helping out other things as well. And also we need to be consistently using them. So we know that essential oils work and help.
