"In mobile not saying that. That's what playstation should do here. But you know getting getting this in more places the better right and figuring out a way to sort of like really. Make us enticing. The thing things you mentioned You know. I think about it for night and apex. Those are those. Are you know over watching. Even suffer gut last of us is really violent brutal. Like i think that's where it can kinda set itself apart. From some of the competition it's got it's built on some truly visceral just bloodthirsty kills and next napping and you don't bash do from the heads Like just very guttural just cut people open blood shoot. Never that's i think a gift and the curse right because that sets it apart from a lot of sort of like free to play multiplayer nonsense. It's out there and also maybe moves a lot of children out of out of the scenario. Although they'll find a way to sneak in iowa's did came to watching our stuff for plenum rated cell phone. I wasn't allowed to fit. Like i walk down a highway new jersey to by the original mortal kombat and mortal kombat to when it came out. I'm after saving lunch money. I was a child and you know someone told it to me so evil. Get into matter. What but. I think that that's a good way to separate itself as soto. Here's his ultraviolent multiplayer game. It's different than your four nights. It's different than even your halos and stuff like that. And so i think that that's a smart move but yeah it's it's going to be tough for them to find an audience there if if they don't make is as accessible as possible to as many people by putting it on multiple platforms by putting it in the hands of people Maybe making it free for a little while or something like that. So yeah it's it's an appeal battle and i think like the interesting thing about this story is. He doesn't seem like we're going to be playing this game anytime soon. Like it seemed to live further away than i thought it was. I thought this was going to be something that was gonna be around the launch last of us to which is now a while ago and then got pushed. No doesn't sound like it's ready yet. I totally expected a year. One sort of he has five surprise. Type italy's where it was like. Hey we have one more thing for you as going into you know maybe there will be sort of like an alpha or a beta or something in the next year or so but i agree with you. It does feel like it is further out than i would have thought because they probably have teased an art asset or the name or something here and we didn't get anything to that nature and and maybe they're just trying to keep things really close until they're ready to show it all some developers to prefer to do that obviously but yet were really space with it and justify totally think you're right like getting this to as many people as possible as a across platforms or whether it's free to play like whatever they do is the way to set it up for success at this point. I mean halo. Infants multi player is going to be free to play at his absolutely the the xbox multiplayer to play the reason they want you to probably get an xbox series x is principal and not that the last of us multiplayer will necessarily be the reason to get a ps five for many people but it could potentially be such an awesome experience. You're saying joseph like actions was so good and to think like just the additions of what was partout. Mechanically did for stealth and a and things of that nature like. There's a lot of a lot of potential there and so it would be a missed opportunity to knock it into as many hands as possible to ensure its because i think the thing factions had against it was that it kind of was ignored because the last of us was so focused on the single player in its marketing in the know in the celebration of at year's end awards and things of that nature actions kind of unfortunately got forgotten despite how good it was In the wider few certainly people loved it but and if if there's a game to take notes off of it is actually halo infinite and to see how they're rolling things out with that free to play structure and seeing how they also handle things like battle passes. If i am naughty dog and they're economists that they hired. I'm taking this. Sit back and jot down notes and seeing what what happens there because yeah mistakes are going to be made along the way and you kinda wanna wanna make sure you're going in at with the most paved road as possible so these multiplayer experiences. I also think that one of the sort of the dots. We haven't connected yet right here. Is that the. When the show launches its going to reach an audience. That game never reached right. It's going to reach the you know casuals but it's going to reach people who watch prestige. Hbo television and they're going to get hooked on it. I think people burned out on walking. Dead and i think the last of us presents a world. It's different there in terms of sort of zombie. Jason stuff and i think that it's going to be a hit show and i think naughty dog will need something day and date to capture that excitement and fervor around the show and to have a video game that people can access. Whether it's you know. We read the rumors a couple of years ago or a couple of months ago. actually about Sort of the last of us remix tweak. If it you know. It's two years. And i think it'd be very hard for them to have something present there. That's that's how you solve the problem of. How do you get an audience to play this game halo i. They've dabbled in television experiments before. But this is this is going to be a big. hbo show. And so. I think that's a really cool.

"Yeah look i'm excited to see it. I just don't know when. I'm going to make it to a theater to see it. I would watch every movie at home if it came out. Greg so would i. And i have watched basically every good movie in the last year at home and i love the convenience of it but would you be willing to watch every movie at home if you knew it would end the theater business as you know it became and business off you will and then eventually no no. No i disagree. We have to collectively make a decision. We're either going to go back to. I mean guys like mason are always go back. I mean it's in his blood right. But it's the guys like me. And you. Greg that are going to make or break the theater business and i really don't want to see a world where you can't go out on a on a night and go to the movies so i'm willing to get back into the theaters. If it saves the theater business. Mike mesa those theatres that are next studio. La live did they survive. I believe they are still open but we lost the arclights. All the arc lights. We lashed someone right around the corner from my house including the center Madonna and it's this has been really really hard on theaters. I'm trying to get out there and support my lok there. You go thank all right onto the next one shot clock thing. That's good yeah. Ucla basketball is known for only hanging championship banners. They don't celebrate final fours or below. Just how it is. Usc football is the same way. They celebrate championships. This is what the big schools do well last week. Athletic director mike bohn had elite eight rings given to every one of the on the ucla basketball players to celebrate their magical run mason. How do you feel about eight rings. I'm totally fine with you. Know generally speaking. I think participation trophies are okay to for little kids. I think you should build self. Ooh okay and in this particular case the fact that usc basketball made it to the elite eight is a frigging miracle. And i think it should be celebrated. Has usc ever gone to the final four. I don't think they. I mean and rarely have been in the elite eight. I absolutely have no problem with this whatsoever. Gray will by the way it was football. I'd say no i would. I'll speak for my usc friends. Because i spent some time with some this past week. They don't like that. Mike bone has lowered the stander of a standard of excellence. Se for example. Usc used to be one of those schools. Where you win or you get fired especially in football and the fact that klay holton mason. I both liked clay. The fact that klay hilton had a losing season had four hundred seven season and they kept him soured a lotta. Usc fans soured fans because they liked having a high standard of excellence and mike bone hasn't lived up to that so i think it's a problem. It isn't taylor you said that. Usc david wessel blows. I wanted taylor had some. What was it what your usc go. The final four nineteen forty and nineteen fifty four. Oh those weren't born okay. All right well. Michael k williams passed away. Yesterday was very very sad. This guy was just an incredible actor and from the stories that i've read. He wasn't credible person to he was unapologetic in his acting and stole every scene on every show that he was in to me personally. His character omar in the wire. Top three actor in television show period yet but as for h. b. o. Shows it's omar on the wire the other two and no order. Twenty soprano of the sopranos and selina. Meyer veep who are your top three. Hbo television actors or actresses. John you can start number. One is larry david. I think curb your enthusiasm is the funniest half hour. Comedy ever seinfeld on steroids. I i can't tell you how many times i've watched curb by myself and fallen over laughing number two. I don't know which actor i would pick. It would rob peter dink lidge but you gotta put somebody. From game of thrones on. That list might be amelia. Clark who played collegiately. I think dink is the guy mays who came the closest to stealing every angry on that. Yeah so he would be number two. And i don't know if this counts but i thought it was an exceptional character. Danny mcbride as kenny on eastbound and down was a show stopping successor. So those are the three that popped into my head. How about you. So peter dink. College is just outside my top three. My top three. Go larry david. I don't think you can start the list. Without larry david number two selena meyers for meyer. The best selina meyer of course Julia louis dreyfuss and the third one is actually my favorite arc on the sopranos is christopher. Mola santi so. I put into their michael imperial who i think was just a great character ended none. I want to spoil ended badly for him but a great character. Peter dinka jr really close omar really close They're they're definitely so many characters that hbo is created. But those would be my great go ahead. And then i. I gave my nose tony. Soprano selina meyer and omar. Okay goodbye michael. K williams played omar. Do you guys know what was unique about omar on the wire. it's why he was barack obama's favorite character omar was feared. Your background with soft shotgun jer. He he ruled every scene was in. He is the only regular character on the wire. All five seasons who never ever said a four letter word. Wow he never. Michael williams just didn't wanna play the character that way and And so he's the one that you know he just. He was in work blue no and he was a he was a gay assassin hood. And you root for him some fascinating fascinating character. I saw i saw l. z. Post something today. That said the asked the show runner why they made omar gay and he said why did i make all the other ones straight to question. Why why are there so many straight people on that show. That's what i say. Hey greg is that it for jump one more. I got one more or go all right. Ted lhasa was done wonders for the sports world. And just basically a general life. Football is life and now us and now players are quoting the show after games as pitcher cole. Irvine had a really bad outing on sunday. Seven runs in two hundred third innings fairy. Ruining it in the post game dresser said to move on. He will be like a goldfish. Have a ten second memory. The direct quote from ted lasso which is incredible. Do you guys use any quotes from tv shows or movies in your everyday lingo here. First of all let me take my wife who was a captain number tennis team when they went to sectionals put little plastic goldfish in the backpacks of all the women on the team and got a big inflatable goldfish. Because she said look this team. These teams were playing a really good. If you get a boat raced have a memory like a goldfish. And they made it all the way to the finals. While so that goldfish thing works..

"Radio station on it and the radio stations are very minor character but the radio station happens to be from haverford college. I went to college. And i've done a ton of research about the history of haverford college radio so talk about a coincidence. It was complete shock to be watching this show and all of a sudden. See a fictional representation of my college radio station and the show is. It's a it's a limited series so you can still watch it. But it had a limited number of episodes and already completed and the finale weekend something like four million viewers tuned in so. This is very very popular television. Show so i was getting a lot of emails and texts from friends. Who were me if i had seen this episode. Because they know that i did radio at have referred. And what a crazy coincidence so on on the radio survivor show. I talked a bit. About how similar. The station looked to my station back when i did college radio in the nineteen eighties. But i was merely speculating about how this radio station came to be in this in. This series is set not in one thousand nine hundred but basically in contemporary times. Correct right yeah setting twenty nineteen and i knew that i knew that it wasn't filmed at haverford college. A you know i. I could tell that. It was a creation of radio station when it wasn't a real radio station. It's not off base. Is it jennifer that your experience at haverford. College radio station is is seminar. That's where jennifer witz begins. Their journey loving college radio and and then loving all. I mean you already love all radio but this is where your focus on college radio. It's a true origin story. And and i'm one of. I'm one of the few people writing about college radio culture so it's just kind of hilarious that and and so so college radio these days in two thousand twenty one. It is rarely shown on television or in the movies so every time i happened to see a college radio station on tv or in the movies especially in a current show. It's notable and so the odds that there would be a college radio station on tv and that it would be my college. Radio station is truly bizarre right. I just. I just want to jump ahead and mentioned that there's another there's another. Hbo show that we've talked about on ria survivor before because of its connection to the history of radio and there was a because we've loved. The story of aimee semple mcpherson a woman who had her radio career that was hugely important in the nineteen twenties and thirties. And there's a. Hbo television show that used her story and did like not one time. Did the word radio or was a physical radio or was anyone listening to the radio. They just skipped that scenario on this other. Hbo show where radio could have played a central role in the plot and the story because one of the characters was a radio station owner and a woman of a really wonderful way to go about telling the story right and like paul said at the beginning. Or how hijack didn't said like radio's just left out and a key way to understand that story was like jettisoned from from the board so it's it's really exciting..

He's he's he's he's fill. his film. career is not very varied however he did direct episodes for every single incredible. Hbo television series that ever existed. We're talking game of thrones sopranos. The wire oz. He is an extremely decorated tv director. He actually won an emmy for the episode of the sopranos where he killed christopher in season six. I adore soprano. So that makes me very happy but yeah. The guy is a decorated tv director. Not so much in the world of film. So i don't know how much that information gives us about who this guy is what he does definitely for me. Feels like he's not fit for this kind of film and it's almost like why did marvel pick him up and do this. We only did five movies altogether in his career. He the six one coming..

"Obstruct. Shit. Never was by the way, and then never will be. And we do have to get to the bottom of these things I will say and to should never happen to another president. Again, this hoax should never happen to another president. Again. The news media had been led into the White House East Room just before the report came out for Trump's appearance with the group of wounded American soldiers while newsrooms across the country digested the report the White House guests already seated while waiting for the president to arrive were entertained by the US marine band, some of the selections played somewhere over the rainbow twelve times Trump took to Twitter in the hours before attorney general bar outlined, the findings of the report Trump proclaimed his innocence and insisted that the investigation was politically motivated as soon as bar concluded his remarks and more than an hour before Muller's report was released. Trump tweeted taunt? Over an image. Inspired by the HBO television show game of thrones. No collusion. Nob- -struction. It said for the haters and the radical left Democrats game over attorney general bar presented his version of the findings of special counsel Muller's report at a morning news conference before journalists had a chance to see it and before bar publicly released the redacted report to congress or the public bar said the report showed no collusion between the Trump presidential campaign and Russia, so that's the bottom line. After nearly two years of investigation thousands of subpoenas hundreds of warrants and witness interviews, the special counsel confirmed the Russian government sponsored efforts to a legally interfere with the two thousand sixteen presidential election. But did not find that the Trump campaign or other Americans colluded? In those efforts on the question of obstruction by President Trump bar said, the report cites ten episodes regarding Trump and possible legal theories that could involve obstruction but bar said, he indep y- attorney general rod Rosenstein determined. There wasn't sufficient evidence that trumpet obstructed Justice. He said the context is important as he entered into office and sought to perform his responsibilities as president federal agents and prosecutors were scrutinizing his conduct before and after taking office and the conduct of some of his associates at the same time. There was relentless speculation in news media about the president's personal cope ability as he said from the beginning there was in fact, no collusion. And as the special counsel's report acknowledges, there is substantial evidence to show that the president was frustrated and angered by his. Sincere belief that the investigation was undermining his presidency propelled by his political opponents and fuelled by illegal leaks. None the less bar said the Trump administration fully cooperated with the Muller investigation. But later House Judiciary committee chair Jerrold Nadler held his own press conference to respond. It's general bar. It appears to have shown unsettling willingness to undermine his own department in order to protect President Trump. Bars words and actions suggests he has been disingenuous and misleading in saying the president is clear of wrongdoing. How for example? General bars lettuce summarizing the report from March twenty fourth quoted the special counsel report, quote, while this report does not conclude that the president committed a crime also does not exonerate him. He ignored what is in the mullahs report just two sentences before where the special counsel conclude Vic quote. If we had confidence after thorough investigation of the facts that the president clearly did not commit obstruction of Justice. We would stay so based on the facts and the app of the will eagles standards. However, we are unable to reach that judgment. "We're back with our our are returning top ten or ongoing top ten things that did not premiere this year. But people. Yeah. Yeah. You go. First the swamp. Okay. My number ten the Americans final season. Good show. Have you watched any of it? I watched the first season. I got out of it should get back to because I did like it. But then, you know, how when you miss a few episodes of show, you just like what's going on when he comes like so much work to go back to it. Yeah. Yeah. I just I just pushed through in those cases. And I'm like I'll watch the previously on the beginning. The first season of that show is so good with Margo Martindale that her name. She is a fantastic actress as our Keri Russell and the dude whose name did. But he did win the Golden Globe. No, the Americans won for best drama. The Golden Globes. Forget the Golden Globes. The judges. What's your number ten? Oh, what is my number ten? Westworld? Oh, yeah. It was world that wasn't confusing at all this season. Either HBO television program. Should be as high production value by twenty twenty one probably for season. Three two years went pretty fast between high thought when I went off the air is I can't believe this. And I was like, oh, it's already back. Great. I remember you having watch game of thrones. By watch the first couple of episodes. Maybe I'll watch it. But I don't know. But you read the dumdum books. Right. I remember we were in Philly. We're in our hotel room. Oh, yeah. You guys are watching what you said don't watch this. I haven't seen it. But you read the damn books. It was like the third episode or something. Yeah. Well, you flew across the country to visit me, and I was like we could have a conversation. But you'd rather watch that. So that's why I left immediately had never seen it before that moment actually had no idea what was going on. All right. My number nine is a tie to more TV shows, ongoing better call soul and Atlanta Atlanta might have been higher except I haven't seen the whole season yet. So I didn't feel. I didn't feel I could really judge. As well. But I liked the episodes. I saw which were on a plane to Hong Kong. Wait, the episodes where about being a plane of Hong Kong because you went to Hong Kong this year. We're that they called it. Atlanta should have told it to HP. It's just like they called mash mash entire entire time. It was only it was not always mash. No, they they stopped to be insurgents after like three seasons. Then they're just drunks. Yeah. That's my number nine. It's actually the other way around. I think the first few seasons drunks and ended. It became surgeons. Have you wait? Have you watched better call Saul? No because I haven't finished breaking bad Christ. Well, I'm owning the last season the breaking bad though. I can't believe it. Well, so you'll get up to the penultimate episode, and then refused to watch the fish like I finished the penalty an ultimate season a couple months ago. So. Don't think highly of me, what's your number nine the Beatles. Number nine. They have a song called number nine. You'll fans get it. I hate those fans. What was I gonna put number can Schmidt. Oh, yeah. It was a little weak this season compared to the first two. But it's also split like, it's. I think. Yeah. Either is coming backwards already back. I just had trouble thinking of ongoing stuff for some reason. I think there's probably something better. I didn't think of so you'll probably say it, and I'll say I wish I have chosen instead of commitment. But it's still fun and her performances never not good. She's great. Well, let's see what you think about my number eight then Bob's burgers. It was a last minute pick. I was because I was having I was struggling to. And then I was like, oh, except we've been watching like old episodes of Bob's burgers on Hulu like over and over. So let's thing I am not caught up on BAAs burgers. So I don't watch..
