I try to get this every year and I have a couple bottles that are sitting in my house. I cannot wait to crack open, but they blend this with wine makers, and they blend different versions of other beers that they make to create this anniversary. L So They used one makers, in part from the following possible Robles is wineries. Dinner Halter Ranch, Herman Story Ledge Lin a Kill Otto Lohn, Madrone Tablets Creek, Thatcher, Th ST ones and Saxon. They They put all of these together and then in the final blend You have 27% of velvet Merkin, aged in bourbon barrels 26% of sticky monkey, which is aged in bourbon barrels. That's central Coast quad Coastal Quad, A parabola, which is aged in bourbon barrels at 16%. Smoked imperial walkers. Reserve the aged in bourbon barrels. 16% of that. Bravo aged in bourbon barrels at 11% and then Tequila barrel. Hell, Dorado aged in tequila barrels 4% of that which is a blond barley won. So they combine all of these beers. "Our good friends from Firestone. Walker? They're going back to the future. Rosalie is a one of a kind brew co for mentored with local wine grapes to create a bureau say this just came out about a week or so ago, the brewery brew master mapra Nelson said in a quote from the press release we wanted to create a super drinkable beer that captures the best qualities of a rosy wine. But at less than half the AB at five percent. And the result is what we are calling. The Rosa lovers beer. This is rolling out to all Firestone. Walker markets in six pack Cam formats draft is gonna follow in April and Rosalie will be a year round release. So again when they settled at California Firestone Walker. A lot of wine country. So there were a lot of grapes lot of different things. One of the beers. I think that they I started aging. Was from some wind barrels that they had gotten from a from a winery. So. You know, it's interesting and that's not surprising. I'm surprised that. It's taken them this long to do more wine type of beers. So we'll see what happens. But this is interesting. This is something I will. I would love to try look, I I love Firestone walkers beers. I think they do a fantastic job. I'm pretty much anything. They're big boozy beers. Though are really really good. That's how good they are. I mean, they're they're awesome. Some other news and notes to get to here before we take a break evil. "Your partner apartment. Life partner, mice for other partners. Hey partner, they buy them. Yep. Bear today. Spear pick. I it's got IP. The name doesn't it? Let me set this up. None at an away. I have the perfect setup for this. As your stack users. No, okay. Stop right now. Okay. Thing. Yes, hyper competing. Yes. So now our hybrid IP as people Firestone. Walker has a beer that they're calling propagator generation one which is called a hybrid EPA. And the reason it's a hybrid is takes the best of east coast IPA's and the best of west coast IPA's and combines them into one. It's a it's a hybrid itself. It's a high I black hybrid with some other kind of beer. No, this one is a hybrid IP. But I I was skeptical when I read the description of this, but I have to tell you it was very delicious. When I tried it. Oh, roy. It's way more it's way more 'cause you get all the nice choosing of the hops from one coast in the bitterness of the hops on the other coast munch them together. And he just get this thing. That's very delicious, smooth some point five percents. You could have more than one and still be. Okay. So if you see it around it's called Firestone Walker Jenner propagator generation one, and it's a hybrid IP. And our chatroom specifically Webster wants to wish you happy new beer. Beer. Now. I think it's a good thing that we should start it. So I didn't realize which coasts hops, are bidder. Which coasts hops are mellow the ramp or wars from the night sounds like it Oakland style. A lot of times west coast beers. I think are more bitter like have you ever had an IP and Seattle those are like really like wolf art, or hops and bitterness and New England style is much more juicy kind of the opposite of the way, you might think people. "Just to research for AG crappier cast, you can find all the shows on those two platforms. We are Alexa, ready as well. Just say to your Alexa, enabled device, Alexa. I want to hear the alga to craft beer cast on AM nine seventy the answer. And he go get to listen to the show. We have a number of the shows archive not all the way back to the beginning. But probably the last twenty five to thirty shows if you want to listen to and if there's a specific show that you really want to listen to that you you you to catch just let me know, I can send you the link to it. And you can listen to. It right from there. I want to accommodate my fans of the program. So coming up in about twenty minutes from now Taryn learn from Forbes will join me it's been awhile since we've spoken with Tara so much to get into with her about her predictions for twenty nineteen that she she published a couple of weeks ago, how the beer scene is going to shake out. So many changes we saw a lot of changes last year. Are those changes going to continue into twenty nine thousand nine that's coming up in about twenty minutes from now? But of course, news and notes that we need to get to you know, I was on vacation for eleven days. So I taped to programs before the end of the year. And so some of it was new some of it was recorded. Thanks for the feedback on the Josh Nolan of you. And of course, the interview with the with the guys from founders, those interviews, the founders interview was back in October Josh's envy was back in may go get that book though. His new his new book. I mean, it's not new anymore. But. The book that he wrote on goose island bourbon barrel aged and selling out them Mangla title, my apologies. Josh. But it is a great book, if you wanna know about the history of a particular brewery from the start all the way to win they sold it to AB inbev Josh's book has extensive detail. I mean stuff like you would think that Josh was sitting right in on those meetings. Of what had happened, and what's cool about it? Is you find out about the history of others that worked at goose island that went onto other things obviously the head brewer at Firestone. Walker started at goose island and then moved to Firestone Walker and look at the success that Firestone Walker has had and they are still an independent beer company. Whereas goose island decided to sell and I don't progress goose island for selling again. I think there's this this whole dichotomy here of people, you know, big beer, small beer, all this. If you don't want to support the goose islands in the blue points because they sold out. That's your prerogative. I'm fine with that. There is a time though where I will buy goose island in the bourbon barrel aged series. When it's out if I see the store, I'll buy it. If it's reasonably priced, I'll buy it. I'm not going to go out of my way to find it. I'll be honest. But if I see store like I did see it a couple of weeks about a month ago. I was coming back from a party I stopped into a liquor store, and they had it. So I asked us do you have any variance? Yes, sure. We got a couple behind the counter. Okay. And I buy one I'm not going to sit there and tell you I'm gonna go looking for these things or I'm going to stand on line to wait for these particular beers. I'm not. But if I see it, and it's reasonably priced I'm going to buy one or two and I'm going to let it age. I still have bottles twenty fifteen that are sitting in my house aging, and they're not the ones that are infected by the way. My point is if a blue point is on tap somewhere. If it's something that I want to drink while I'm in the midst of drinking other stuff and supporting local breweries, I'm going to drink it. That's just the way. I am. I call me sell out, whatever you wanna do. I don't care. That's my personal preference. I'm not just going to do one thing because everybody else is doing it. I'm not I'm not a follower, folks. I am not saying that I'm a leader either. But I'm certainly not a follower. I drink. What I want to drink them when I'm in the mood for most of the time. It's IPA's. Sometimes it starts especially in this time during the winter. I want to drink something I wanna pour something that I can drink. Let's sit out for a while. And sip it over the course of an hour or two. All right. So let's get into some beer news here craft brewery owners in Pennsylvania are attempting to restructure the collection of a forthcoming sales tax coming from our folks at broughtdown, it's slated to begin this coming July. It would increase the cost of beer sold directly to consumers for on and off premise consumption at the state's nearly three hundred tap room's. Tasting rooms and brewpubs. So as of July first of this year, the Pennsylvania department of revenue we'll begin collecting a six percent sales tax for every dollar of beer sold directly to consumers via brewery tap, room's tasting rooms in brewpubs. The tax would be in addition to the two dollars and forty eight cents per barrel. State excise tax that Pennsylvania brewers already pay. However, the new tax would not apply to sales to wholesalers or traditional bars and restaurants. So the point of contention here is I'm reading from this article brew, bam. For the brewing owners, it's not the tax itself when they started. But when it's collected as it's currently written breweries bypass wholesalers and sell beer directly to consumers in their tasting rooms and retail storefronts would be required to issue the taxes the point of sale instead brewery owners are arguing that the tax should be applied at the wholesale level. Which is already the case for transactions between distributors and retailers. So this is this is an interesting thing because what ends up with what's going to end up happening. And there's a quote from Chris lampy the corner of wire Bacher brewing. He's the president of the brewers of Pennsylvania. He estimated that ninety percent of the state's three hundred brewing. Locations would be affected by the implementation of the sales tax this quote from him from bam in the past six years. The brewers of Pennsylvania has gone from twelve members to two hundred and fifty members in a large portion of those newer members of the brewers Pennsylvania have based their business models around town. Prunes? Pritchett let's see Trevor perch, and he's the CEO of yards. He said breweries have no problem paying a sales tax, but they wanna be treated the same as other retailers who are taxed six percent at the wholesale level. In Pennsylvania beers taxed when a wholesaler sells it to a bar restaurant not on over the bar retail sales. For example, as rebound points out, a bar owner would pay about nine dollars in taxes on one hundred and fifty dollar keg purchased from a wholesaler. However that same keg of beer sold inside a brewery taproom for five dollars a pint at one hundred and twenty pints would net thirty six dollars in taxes. So what they want is parody here. They just want a level playing ground, which I don't I don't blame them for this. So Pritchett said if the sales tax is implemented in its current form consumers who purchase directly from brewers would pay four to five times the amount of sales tax revere. Then they would the state's bars or restaurants and consumers would pay even more at breweries located in Pittsburgh and Philadelphia were consumers already pay a poured drink tap. Tax of seven percent and ten percent respectively on top of a one and two percent local sales tax in each respective sitting. Meaning if the tax goes forward as planned consumers the brewery tap room's in Philadelphia would pay eighteen percent in taxes and fourteen percent in Pittsburgh and both owners of these breweries yards and wire backer of said that if implemented it would almost assuredly be passed along to consumers. There's no way they're going to be able to absorb that kind of it. Lampy says to rebound I can tell you it wire Bacher, it certainly would be passed on. And there would be a sign up saying, this is exactly why this. I don't I don't get it. I don't understand why Pennsylvania's doing this. It should be a level playing field. It's almost like they're trying to mess around like, they didn't New Jersey. And hopefully, you know, obviously, there's two different. It's it's two different things. But this is ridiculous that if I go to wire Bacher directly to buy a beer purchase beer, I'm going to pay more than I would at a retailer at a liquor store or at a deli. I why wouldn't I just go to the deli? And by the beer, it's cheaper. I don't have to consume it that badly in order to do that. I think this is a way of the of the restaurant owners trying to create some type of parody because they're losing business. Same thing. That's happening in New Jersey guys level Plainfield, it makes life easier for everybody and everybody wins. Everybody makes money moving on Rogalla spirit starting this year. Strong with two near new year round as outta line. It's a bright Honey colored west coast style and bat squash, a juicy hazy with intense tropical aromas and flavors outta line. On the east coast on Sunday night here am970theansweRcom beautiful studios, located in lower Manhattan, right next to the trinity church. So let's kick off suds duds. This is the segment, right? Tell you about the various beers that I've had over the past week or so, and I'll let you know, whether I liked him that would be a suds. And if it's a dud, I will let you know that as well very few duds lately. Although, yeah, I mean one or two slip in there every once in a while, but the good folks at paragon tapping table, one of my favorite places to go in and buy in some delicious craft beer located right off, the the Parkway almost turnpike right off the Parkway exit one thirty five and Clark, New Jersey. They had a few weeks ago a Firestone Walker tap takeover Firestone. Walker is one of my favorite breweries in the land. I love almost everything that these guys do there were very few beers that Firestone. Walker puts out that I do not like and. It's always a great time to catch up with the reps from Firestone. Walker Gallagher who is a great guy gregarious big gregarious guy. He's just a lot of fun to chat with and got a chance to to chat with him for a few minutes. And then, of course, hanging out with a couple of my buddies, the nice thing was that night for this tap takeover was the night before my high school reunion. And so I had the day off the next day. So I was able to imbibe a little bit without having to look at the clock and say, all right. I gotta stop drinking. It this time because I need to sober up. And you know, whatever not that I am by too much. But at least it was nice to know that I didn't have to stop drinking at six thirty at night. After sampling a few different beers. So I started off with a Lille versus Douglas of by Firestone. Walker? Big solid hop. Really good. I love these Leo versus beers. They really do a nice job. I think there was only one of them that I thought missed the Mark for me. I'm not really sure maybe it was the right one. I don't remember exactly off the top of my head. I think it was. I think it was the right one that really wasn't a didn't sit. Well with me like it was good. I could drink it. But it wasn't wasn't the best thing that I ever had. So that one was very good. Then I moved on excuse me to the the worst. From firestone. Walker dark smooth delicious really a different take on that. And really liked it how they do it. And the one thing that I love about Firestone. They don't shy away from making big boozy beers. You know, there are some companies that you know, they'll do once one or two year Firestone prides themselves on doing these big boozy. You know, they sit for a long time aging type appears they make good stuff. You know, they're lager is really good there IP as are on point. But when they do the big boozy stuff like the next one that I'm going to tell you about. They just knocked it out of the park the Succha from Firestone. Walker is just unbelievable. It's subtle. It's boozy. It's just a big, you know, banger of a beer, it is a delay. It's a barley wine. It's really good. I mean, it's one of those Sakubu's the type of beer and most of these big boozy beers at Firestone. Walker puts out, and you know, they a lot of them come in twelve ounce bottles, and you say to yourself why twelve ounce bottle trust me, they are very heavy in terms of alcohol. They're the type of beer you share. I mean, if you're going to sit back and have one of these that's about all you're gonna have as one of them a full one, and you're going to drink it over the course of an hour or two this is not something that you're gonna unit a porn a glass and knocked back as quickly as possible. You could afford in a glass you're going to let it sit for a little bit. And you're gonna sip it slowly, that's the key with these things speed is not your your friend here. It's more of longevity is your friend when it comes to the big boozy beers from Firestone. Walker so sucker is fantastic. Again. Like, I said, it's very busy. Then they had the parabola. On tap their twenty eighteen version. This was a coconut version of the parabola. Oh my goodness. Smooth, delicious, the coconut flavors shine throughout. I'm I'm a fan of coconut might be are as long as it's subtle. I wanna taste it. But I don't want it to be overpowering. If the coconut is overpowering in the beer, I'm completely turned off. I want beer tastes like beer. It's the same thing with bourbon barrel aged beers. If I taste more bourbon than beer, then there's a problem. Somebody made a mistake there in what they were adding to the mix the bourbon should always be subtle. You should taste it. It should be there. But it shouldn't overpower the rest of the flavor of the beer, and I get it that it's a, you know, a lot of these big and boozing, but they shouldn't be boozy to the point where their overwhelming you, and you really can't taste beer anymore. The guys from Firestone. Walker get it. And they Nell it every single time the parabola with the coconut unbelievable. If I find a bottle of parabola in the stores. I absolutely pick it up. Trust me. You will not be disappointed. This is definitely one of those. You put it in the fridge. Or celebrated about fifty degrees. Fifty fifty five degrees. Right. And you can let these age. That's the great part is that you can let these sit for a while and kind of ferment and continue to gather flavor. You get one of these crack it at about fifty degrees. Port in a glass couple of glasses for friends if you want to share and. You just sit there, and you sip these things slowly, I'm telling you, you will love it. And again, if you're not a big fan of beer, this is a great beer to have as an after dinner because it's again, it's beer put it's not. Does this make sense not super bearing does that make sense? I guess I don't know if it doesn't. But anyway, as we continue on here in our sons segment on the craft beer cast on AM nine seventy the answer. Boston beer at sent me some stuff Rocktoberfest had their red lager. It's decent enough beer, nothing really memorable to be honest with you, it's in their twelve pack again, you know, Sam Adams does really good beers certain things there Boston lager is great. There. There are thirteenth. Our beards is kind of chocolate coffee, whatever that is fantastic. Grumpy grumpy monk is ridiculous. They should come out with that more fantastic. I don't know why they don't mass produce that. But some stuff that of all right there. Tober fest is excellent. I really enjoy Sam Adams Octoberfest. That's a great. That's a great Morrison beer. But this one kind of Mark for me. So I would consider that my kills borough. The guys are just killing it over. There kills borough on Staten Island telescopic is one of their anniversary beers that I had a double. I really really good. They they just put a, you know, how I know that they're doing a great job because I gave a can of telescopic to my good friend of the show buddy watching, and he actually called me after he drank it any goes Manua, right? Oh my God. These guys are killing. It said am I wrong? Sometimes I'm off the Mark. But I knew that I get him on this one and he loved it. And I told him I said next time you back on Stanton island get over there to craft house have dinner you can have some of the kills borough beers on draft and they do sell cans there. I mean, you can get them in other places to Staten Island beverage island. Being one of them. It's a great place on the north shore off Richmond terrace, but you know, without a doubt, you have to visit the place, and to be.

They've got a cool sound. Is it retro short is? Is there a bit of a zeppelin influence in it? Absolutely one hundred percent. I mean, even some of the lot even some of the lyrics. The work. Yeah. It's got a heavy zeppelin influence, but it's cool. I like it. I dig it. I think these kids are pretty good. I don't think there are a bunch of posers. I think they've actually got something here. Now, they're playing next year at the summer stage at stone pony. I saw him. The tickets went on sale on us. Maybe I'll get them. But that happens to be date that I think I'm already booked for next year. I think I'm probably that's the same day as the beer, bacon and barbecue. Vent to my good friend Alison puts on every year. That's that. I am a judge four. And I'm sure there's probably another event that David I'm going to have to run to again. But to be honest with you if I had the time, I would go see these guys. Here's the problem. They're playing at the stone pony. Danas berry park, and I looked online for the tickets, apparently all the general admission tickets at sold out. They only have VIP general admission now mind you summer stage standing-room-only, there are no seats. They wanted something like two hundred and something dollars for a ticket for this VIP section. What's the VIP section? I better be getting drinks food. Lots of perks to pay that kind of money to see these kids. I like him. I don't like it that much. I'll pay for general admission ticket I would pay seventy five to one hundred dollars to see these guys method. I wanna stand all night. But I would do that. But over two bills now. Sorry, good luck. Guys. Hope you have a good one. That is Greg vanfleet. That's from there from the fire's album if I'm not mistaken is from the front. Yes. From the fires is the name of the album. So if you haven't checked them out well now, you know to go on itunes and Google play and pick yourself up some Greta van fleet coming up in a bit. We'll get to our guest here Jason trueblue. Now, if that is not a movie star name, I don't know. What is anyway, Jason Lee's the operations guy for a new app called pint pass again pint pass is the name of the app founded on Facebook coincidentally enough the app lets you earn money drinking beer, just by checking into your favorite brewery. We'll get you the four one one on the app how it was created. And of course, how you get paid. And that's all coming up in about twenty minutes. From now, mind you. I am battling a little bit of a cold. I call that had a very long time and. Affecting my throat a little bit. So forgive me, if I'm having to stop and clear my throat every once in a while here tonight. So let's get into some beer news Firestone. Walker they've come out with their twenty-second anniversary L it is the latest barrel aged anniversary Al from Firestone Walker and apparently a late grape harvest in the wine country this year helped out winemakers to help blend. This aaniversary L brew master mapra Nelson said usually by late summer, the stress of the impending harvest starts bearing down on our winemaker friends and some of them can't make it to our blending session not this year. And the result was one hell of a blend created by one of our largest groups ever. He added winemakers of practicing experts in the art of blending, which is why we have sought their involvement ever since making our first anniversary Al in two thousand and sixty anniversary of blending session an annual late summer right at the brewery the twentieth. Eighteenth session took place September fourth thirty participants in ten. And the outcome is ex- ex-. I said defying Firestone workers twenty second year on California's central coast is released in all Firestone. Walker markets in single boxed twelve ounce bottles for a limited time. Actually was released for a limited time and then debuted at all Firestone Walker locations last weekend at the annual anniversary party in November third. And of course, then it'll be out for general consumption. So if you haven't gotten it yet, it's probably in stores now hitting area stores now go check it out the anniversary that had last year which actually bought in California already had a taste of it. But born in California, it was fantastic. And again, this is a beer that'd be let age you let sit it gets better as it goes along out. Ex- ex I is a blend of four distinct beers aged in spirits barrels sticky, monkey central coast quite about forty four percent parabola. The Russian imperial oatmeal stout at twenty two percent Bravo, which is an imperial Brownell at twenty two percent and held Dorado. They're blonde. Barley wine at twelve percent. Primary. Twist this year, the inclusion of hell Dorado aged in rum and gin barrels. That's pretty interesting. Brennan says. The even though it's a small percentage of the final blend the gym barrel held Arado adds a lot of this beer, it brings this interesting botanical quality with spicy notes that we've never had an anniversary blends before that's that's pretty cool. So again, like I said, it's four different blends the Jin barrel held Dorado, obviously age than those Jim barrels, and then held Arado that was aged in rum barrels as well. So this is a pretty calm complex beer. They they tell you that it's best to be poor. Kathleen, a half filled brandy snifter a wine glass and let it warm up to about fifty five degrees Fahrenheit to fully. Enjoy the policing and complex Roma's as it sits and breathes in the glass, it kind of gives off different aromas in different sense. If you wait to open your bodily say later stored in a cool dark place the beer will age well change favorably for years to come. They did have a great time making it. It is interesting. We'll see I'm looking forward to picking up a bottle and let. It sit for a little bit before I opened him as we continue on here in our news note segment and the opening segment of the alga beer cast on AM nine seventy the answer. So if you didn't get it by now, I mean, it is Sunday. If you didn't get it by now, you're not going to get a chance to tasted. Unfortunately, when they sent me the Presley's, they said, we know you'd love to try it. But it. Is a they can't send samples, but if you could stop by the tap room. So they do a lot of IP as they do a lot of big boozy beers. But they also do some of the lighter stuff very well. But this one is a great wintertime, full, wintertime, beer, even springtime early spring. So mocha Merlin milk stout, making its return eat is going to be available in a regular six pack can format as well. As a Merlin's new mixed pack is available for a limited time through the holiday season. This is a great beer. I'll tell you why. It's a great milk stout. That is not super heavy. When it comes to the ABC, which of course, is the the the strength of the beer. Right. So the. On a lighter side of an AB v. It is a really delicious perfect after dinner beer, if you're looking for something a little bit light little sweet. But not too heavy. The mocha Merlin stout is definitely for you. They used cocoa nibs instead of processed chocolate. With no sugar added. And really you get that natural chocolate flavor in the beer as opposed to something being putting their artificially to kind of sweeten the pot a little bit. They've brute it with Colombian a lot of Granville blend from honeycomb coffee roasters in nearby San Luis Obispo specially selected because it messes perfectly with the beers chocolate notes. And then of course, they put the milk sugar. Ran at the end to give it a little bit more of a mouth feel kinda like that foamy mouth feel when you're drinking maybe a frothy hot chocolate or chocolate milk that you've just poured right out of the the cartons so Merlin's mix. Pac twelve pack of cans features mocha Merlin, along with three other beers, LuPone Pontic distortion Union, Jack and pivo is Firestone. Walker's fourth and final seasonal mixed pack of two thousand eighteen listen, let me tell you something. If you're looking for a good national brand that really, you know for me, it knocked my socks off maybe for others. It doesn't but Firestone. Walker puts out some tremendous beers. Their new lager is great. If you're looking for something, easy, drinking, and you're not looking for something with that that hot note in it. But if you're looking for really good consistent as you cannot go wrong. With firestone. Walker? I will as a national brand. I will sing their praises until the cows come home. And one one day he posts a photo on his Facebook page photo of he's having a he has sleep disorder. And so he had to go sleep in a hospital or in some clinic somewhere, and he's got these things pasted all over his body and wires attached to him. It was like an EKG on steroids. You know, just doing that thing and and then when I got arrested, you know, for the for at the airport, when I said that I was trafficking math. So I just kind of like, say, you know what I needed like focus on things and you know, no new, I didn't do anything, but still, you know, that was a hell of a speed bump in the road when it happened. So I just figured I'm gonna just rain everything and not that I was going out doing anything wrong, but I just like to just chill now and I started dating again a little bit took two years off from that. But you know, I'm still I'm not a tough guy that I'm not a non tough guy. One time shit was about twelve or thirteen years ago. I'm not gonna run over you if you stay in your lane, but swerve out in front of me, you probably going to die. Give a shit. I don't care some kind of Intel and then you'll see a couple of them. Yeah, they gotta be exceeding the weight limit. I don't give us yet. They need helmet stadium, proof of venture eighty two drivers license. They gotta have something, but there's a lot of people to just can't stand bitches on other. If you're coming out of a place and cars their birds there like to get on the bird seems like a small problem. I'll do really irritate me. Traffic man. When I came here fifteen years ago, the Firestone Walker burry down row to use be world, Jim, Joe gold before he passed away, I'll fix go to Australia and tell them we called the condemned. I came believe that moved in win an award because it should have. But anyway, you could come off. You come up Lincoln and you could make a left hand, turn it up parking lot nowadays. I mean, you can't do that because there's so much more traffic. Have you noticed an increase in all the ball shit. Oh Yemen. It's the whole cities chains. The traffic is out of control. You go like east lot here. You probably stay in this area. Don't you? Man? I never leave. Yeah, yeah. Yeah. I just sort of figure out ways to sort of cut through. I mean, it got even worse with that. Those two guys push themselves to the limit and then ended up failing, but hunter McIntyre my my returning, and he was the guy that was putting into work every single day every single wing guys an animal. And he's also crazy too. He lives here in Malibu. I think he's probably right down the road from you. You know, he comes from an affluent family and I think Connecticut and family lawyers, and he was just kind of wild child and they were all hung over one day or they were drinking and the Spartan thank him on TV. Let's go down and inter that none of his buddies did, but he did and he ended up getting third or six, whatever. And all of a sudden out of a drunken stupor said, hey, you know what? If I focus on this, I'm gonna be pretty good at it. He was right. He's dominating the world pretty damn strong in the gym too. I've seen doing squats and. What he's very deceptive. You get up on him is every bit of six, two. And if he's one eighty or two of five, that's a stout one eight or tilt. Yeah, but but he really puts into work how he do with a stone cold stunner. I mean, you know, you. His entire nervous system, and he just beat manure. Muscular in Niro skeletal level, and he shit himself, you think it would be? Definitely, definitely. And that's what happened. Most people would probably put a little extra start training traps a little bit and get a little extra Aaron, judge act totally ruined his brain. Scrambling logical overload. Now. I mean, he's a good kid. I respect him how you can do on your podcast. Seemed like, yeah, enjoy that a lot. Yeah. Same same. I got a chance to talk to a guy the other day, Joey Janetta and kids twenty nine years old historic wrestlemania was fifteen, and he never had any formal training and he lied to the promoters. So yeah, I'm I'm been trying. I'm good and I give them fifteen tickets to sell yourself fifteen tickets and let him Russell. Well, we sold three tickets, but they still let him Russell without any training. And so he was a big fan of HOGAN warrior. You know, myself, Terry funk, cactus, Jack people like that. But it really fell in love with the death match style of pro wrestling, really popular popular over in Japan and obviously the hardcore stuff with w he was very named with and hit some of the most insane, Bob's, there's a kid. He's he's only twenty nine years old. He's been working twelve years and he came by the house the day. So it was really interesting getting to because I've talked to so many guys that are. From pro wrestling who are doing regular pro wrestling. This guy was interesting to talk to at a whole different level because he was coming from at death match standpoint. It's kind of hard to wrap your head around the motivation that goes into a Cadillac at taking all these super risky crazy insane bumps and coming out unscathed. So it's a very calculated risk. Yeah, that kind of stuff seems it seems it seems crazy. What do you think you're most proud of when it comes to all the different things that you've done. I don't know. I don't know. A lot of found my wife. I'm glad to dogs. Yeah, a pickup truck. How long have you been with your wife? We've been together for since I came to LA well, I live with page for urine. Well, are her. "Continue this hostile work environment. I can't believe that. You know, this bears actually on tap. I mean to find farce Walker on tap is just amazing. And we've had a lot of different vintages of the series and mazing beer that twenty fourteen bottle that we had that one time that was really best. Yes. And we talked about that, you know, quite a bit on on another episode. Yeah, but just to be able to get it, you know, right drafts, that's that's ridiculous. It's good. It's really great fresh. It is just amazing. You know, aged as well. And that beers actually made as part of the seller series from Firestone Walker right there at monk's cafe, you can actually have both. So they have the vintage versions do compares. You can go back and and so if you really want to have one fresh and then have one that's maybe three or four years old that would be that would pretty. That sounds awful. That's terrible. Horrible way to spend your time. So one last beer place we would recommend would be the standard tap, man, spices, cool. I got a great tap list, but you gotta be sure to check out the rooftop and then the food pairings they have. There are. Second, I I was also it right. I'm gonna say right to your face scanner tab. Great food. If you go check out the chicken pot pie. Forget they have a cat. The do. Yeah, they always have a cast their standard tap. That's another great thing about it is like, you know, a lot of times you don't see that everywhere. You know, even the really great beer bars around America usually don't have something on cast all the time. You know, have a weekly thing for nine or two. It's always there. Yeah, they usually have at least one cask of their standard tap. So be sure and check that out that is healthier was originally served and sold history might even find the spruce beer on cast. No. If you do pick up the cast and throw it now. What are you going to? Is it going to be a cheese Witter cheese without? Well, speaking of food, I just have a few things have got to ask you guys to really make sure that we're preparing people for stepping into Philadelphia wit or no with, well, if you're talking about this show, it's no. Would you like white on the bottom of widow, the top. I don't like anything bottom. You know, this is actually the standard reading, four locals and Philadelphia. Instead of asking like things like the weather, like normal people do. So listen, our discussion of Philadelphia cannot be complete without talking about the Phillip stake. No, not Philly. Cheesecake name. Cheese, steak. It's layers, thin, meet peppers and onions, and the key ingredient is cheese whiz. Or as the locals college cheese, they just call it wit. So that's how you get the wit conversation. So there's two conic locations that actually make this famous sandwich and they're not exactly the same. Now pats, the king is actually considered the original and gino's has been in the same location right across the street since about nineteen sixty six. Is it true that brawls have broken out between fans of pets versus fans? Yes. Yes. There's like entire family feuds that have developed whether you're PAT's or gino's fan. That's ridiculous. And I couldn't date a guy because he was a pet and I'm gene. They do the same thing with pizza in Chicago. If you're JIRA Donald fan or gino's east fan, you know, Donna's man guy. So yeah, good. I'm glad you're both saying. No idea. Didn't want her to punch in the face. Well, may I kinda do, but that's the reason we gang keys were Yankees fans. We like the same Chicago style pizza. So yeah, it's all good. Yeah, it's all good. So listen, we won't help you to get through this experience about how to order a cheesecake and other pets or. Cheesecake. Go back, don't play this part. Never play this again. Yes, right. So this is how you order cheesecake or. This part never played this again. It's in this head. Now this in his head, he can't get past it. I have a professional. I can't believe that. I've said that I, it is ordering a cheese, stay a ago, order cheese, steak at gino's. All right.
