Trump Says He'll 'Probably' Deliver Convention Speech From White House
"Were in the middle of a pandemic, right? So this campaign for president is a different sort of an animal. And you're not going to see big campaign rallies. You're not going to see big campaign events. You're not going to see big national conventions. The Democrats have scaled down what they're going to do in Milwaukee. Maybe just have a couple 100 people at their convention site in Milwaukee, all Social distancing Vice President Biden announced today that he will not even go Till Milwaukee to deliver his acceptance speech. Cognizant of the pandemic, the virus. And obviously this is a blow Donald Trump. Cause all Trump cares about is getting up in front of people. He likes to watch TV. He likes to be on TV. He likes to be in front of people at one of those big old rallies. So you take away the rally from Trump You take away the big convention. From Trump. And you leave him. With an ideal like this. That is so wrong. Trump can't deliver a big convention speech. So he's considering delivering his acceptance speech at the White House. On the south one No, I said earlier on a bunch of people have said our number by the way. 844305 78 100 very well may be illegal. It may be a violation number one of the Hatch Act, which prohibits federal officials from engaging in political activities. The Hatch Act typically exempt the president and the vice president. But not any other official any other White House staffer any other official Ah federal official in Donald Trump's administration. So you're delivering a speech on the South Lawn of the White House, and you got a couple 100 of your White House staffers and executive branch officials there on the lawn, the White House as you deliver a campaign speech. That will clearly I'll be a violation of the Hatch Act for each and every one of them. The second law that maybe broken is you cannot use official government property for political for campaign purposes. I know there's no better violation of that. Then using the White House to deliver A campaign nomination acceptance speech.

It has been a three time and honestly I do feel like after a couple of weeks of like slow Android News, all of a sudden, the past two days like I could not keep the plates spinning. I, was like Whoa and this and this. and. It's not because tomorrow. Me and James Nafta to get up early. Wait this way me and Jason have to get up early. It's going to be regular time for you. There's a Samsung, event. Yeah. It's GonNa be nuts like seven am and mind you like as I've said, many times at this point, he probably sick appearing me say my podcast studio station is in our bedroom. So it's basically like kicking failure, the roof before had so that I can make sure that I'm up at ready for seven. Am Call to follow Samsung News which there's going to be a lot. So I'm definitely looking forward to, but what a week from Samsung to Pixel, which we'll talk about later. This is a big. I mean. We've got so much phone news happening right now. It's kind of ridiculous. I mean, it's really weird after what has been a quiet summer like it is just like it went from zero to sixty late yesterday after job total. Good. which is Kinda normal riot. Usually, it seems like about the time of the the note event is win this next phase of the phone season kicks in, and then at this point, we don't hear from Google until like Tober, but this time that's different. Anyway, we're. We're spoiling the the the ending here or at least the middle. Before, we get there. We've got some news to talk about taking us to the news. please. We have a week purchased doesn't even violence? Say it. I don't blame them at all. I, don't blame me at all burke. Let's get into the news like we said it's been head-spinning these past couple of days. We'll get to the pixel stuff in the hardware blocks of stay tuned. We haven't forgotten about that but I off. One of the hotly anticipated things all summer in the world of android. In fact, a couple of weeks ago. When Dave Burke from android. From Google and Android was on the show, he teased that nearby share file sharing aspect of android would be rolling out soon, and soon is today how about that? So, basically, if you're familiar with IOS airdrop this airdrop for android. It's file share between ANDROID devices. You can share files, images, links, etc. Through fast transfer process. You can select your visibility determine who can see you and share with WHO and who can't It does work off line, which is fascinating. Transfers by either Bluetooth, Bluetooth L. E. Web RTC, or peer to peer Wifi, whichever is fast as and you can check out hands on android episode twenty, one for deep dive into the new feature, which I'm sure we'll get you as Jason goes deep into file sharing with nearby sharing. Jason. What is your experience in nearby sharing? Is it? What is it living up to the hype? I. Think, Yeah. I think in in my experience with it and try and I should I should stay that really I've only used it around the time when I was creating the hands on android episode. So I haven't found myself in a situation since then or like I needed to use nearby sharing to send a file to myself and I certainly haven't found myself in a situation where I'm sharing directly like with my wife like quite frankly we're not going anywhere. So we're just here. Why, don't you just send her files Willy Nilly because think about it. That can be fun. We have nothing going on right now, and you know your everyone's stuck at home and you know. Why not send her random files, sent her gifts in memes through the nearby share and. Response like I. think that's a good idea. I'll ask her to set it up because it would be weird if I just set it up and started dropping are things that suddenly appeared out of nowhere. It up and it'll be it'll be a nice way to kind of lighten the load on weeks such as this one but. was going to say about nearby sharing is in my time playing with it. For that episode hands on Android I tested transferring a good amount of files, large files, small files, and yet it works pretty seamlessly. Just kind have to do the work in advance of setting it up to say, Hey, I, trust this person's device, and then if you happen to have your device near near an that person's device at any given point, you can get a little notification. Notification. That says, Hey. So and so's nearby and it makes it really easy for you just tap and share directly to them because you've all you both already kind of open those gates to say, yes, this is possible.

SEC Investigates Kodak's Federal Loan, Stock Surge
"Last week, Kodak announced, it had secured a seven hundred, sixty five, million dollar loan from the Federal Government under the Defense Production Act to shift gears for making photo supplies to drug ingredients. Now, we've learned that the Securities and Exchange Commission is investigating the deal joining me now with more details is Wall Street Journal reporter Dave, Michaels? So Dave Codex shares surged after news about this loan broke, and that got the attention of the Securities and Exchange Commission. What can you tell us about what they're now looking into? Well, we understand that the SEC has opened up. An investigation they're looking at trading in the shares just before the loan announcement was officially made, and then also how the in the news about the loan was communicated to the wider market. Why is that potentially a problem that Kodak had shared news of this deal with some media outlets before making this public wouldn't be a violation of criminal law, but but it could be a violation of the regulations that apply to public companies, which they can be straightforward. They can also beat her technical, but suffice it to say that public companies have to have a lot of rigor around how they communicate. Information, that is information that is going to influence investors decisions about whether to buy a seller, hold on a shares and if the company released information. About the control loan before the initial announcement in released in a way that was. Haphazard or not well thought through and then that information. Leaked down in some form or fashion to the wide broader market people traded on it than that could be a problem for Kodak as a public company just in terms of their responsibilities in terms of how they're supposed to control the flow of material information. So what are some of the questions still surrounding this deal that our team is looking into right now including this question about the disclosure in the communication? Of the loan, we're still looking into the loan itself in Kodak is saying that. Alone details are not fully finalized and yet the announcement was made last week that it was going to be getting seven, hundred, sixty, five, million dollar loan. So announcing net to the broader market, ensure holders developed certain expectations about how that's going to change. Kodak's business. But the loan is in guaranteed is not finalized. Query whether whether it was appropriate to make make that announcement at the time. We're also looking into continue to look into some of the equity options grants that were made to executives directors in the day before the day, just before the official announcement was made. So Dave, what are the potential outcomes from an SEC investigation of this sort? What can we see come out of this and when? You know we understand this is Very early days of this, I mean after all the announcement was just made last week, so it could take. Months to learn anything from either the company or potentially in the SEC. If actually brought any sort of official claims against the company. So we won't. We won't know anytime soon, and also it's also not clear that this would result in in a in former allegations of wrongdoing SEC opens up investigations all the time they ask questions, they do the dig into something, they take testimony and they might decide you know, hey, this, this was a little weird wasn't perfect way went down, but there's not a clear regulatory violation. Yourself is just something that I think people who are interested in Kodak Interested in in this story would just have to stay tuned.
How to Do #MeToo Without Prison
"When the METOO movement caught fire in two thousand seventeen. The loudest demands centered on calling out offenders and seeing them prosecuted. But metoo founder Toronto Burke has been clear that mass incarceration is not the solution. Today's guest. Dr. Eliza Ackerman agrees. Prison doesn't work. The fact of the matter is only three percent of people who commit rape will adversity a day behind bars. And, the process of going through the criminal justice system is incredibly incredibly harmful for survivors. They are disbelieved, they are victimized again. Their entire sexual history is put on display in the courts. So knowing all of that we are looking for something that actually decreases harm. decreases, violence increases, empathy decreases recidivism, and that's what we find with restorative justice. Dr Ackermann is a criminal justice professor at California State University at Fullerton where she specializes in research on sexual violence and sex crimes policy. She's also a pioneer in her field of resolving sexual violence through a process called restorative justice. So ordinarily, our legal system response to criminal behavior with three questions. Questions what law was broken, who broke it, and what punishment is warranted. But restorative justice asks who was harmed, what are the needs and responsibilities of everyone affected and how can everyone involved collectively repair the harm that was done. Basically, it's all about healing survivors, communities, and offenders today. Eliza is guiding us through the restorative justice approach to sexual violence. Would it feels like for survivors and why it's a promising path toward preventing sex crimes in the first place all to find out? How can we do me to without prisons? Harvey Weinstein in an orange, jumpsuit has come to symbolize me to era justice, but the movement's original vision resonates far more with transformative and restorative justice approaches. Right. So toward the end of last week's part one. On feminism and mass incarceration prison abolitionist. My Shinwari told us about the transformative justice model that model aims to resolve harm without creating additional harm and without involving the legal system at all restorative justice shares that goal, but it can be put into practice both. And outside the system, what it entails is creating safe spaces. For. Survivors and for people who have caused harm to talk about the impacts that sexual harm has had, and it gives the survivor, a safe space to talk about really the very intimate aspects of sexual violence and the aftermath of that. It allows the survivor to ask questions of people who have caused harm. It also allows those people who have caused harm to ask questions at gives them insight about the behavior Dave engaged in that they would never get. From being processed through the criminal justice system, the term restorative justice was coined in nineteen, seventy, seven by prison psychologist, Albert igla-s, but its core principles come directly from indigenous forms of conflict resolution like sentencing circles and peacemaking courts most. Restorative justice programs focused on youth offenders and family welfare cases. But in recent years, experts like Eliza have started applying it to adult cases involving sexual violence for a number of practical reasons. Yeah. Many survivors don't trust police to properly handle their claims and many know their perpetrators and don't necessarily want to face them in a criminal trial plus evidence suggests that the restorative justice approach is both more empowering for survivors that going through a criminal trial and that it's a more effective method for perpetrators to actually learn their lesson and not re-offend. COMES BECAUSE? People. See as soft. Right they see you've done something wrong. You need to do the time for it. But Harsh Punishment Austin to anything to reduce harm to anybody, and if you ask the men that I have worked with what they would rather do face may or face another survivor, sit in a prison south, they will tell you prison cell every time. So I think once people understand that restorative justice is not soft. And, that it's actually much much more difficult to do. Maybe they'll get on board.

Elliot Seguin: Test Pilot
"Did you get an aviation? grew up in a flying family My Dad had assessment semi to for most of my childhood than than I guess when I was pretty young for remember you bought a swift and we had swift grown up in that timeframe when you start getting into get into cars, 'cause you WanNa get into girls He's hot rod out at swift. He put a big motor in it and set some records with and. It was the perfect sendoff to will not playing with Clark's. Their place instead. That is awesome and you've had a great career after a growing up aviation as an engineer being a part of a lot of special programs aviation. How did you progress into a professional aviation career? yes. So The big thing was me and you he he was a pilot but just for So it was a big thing in the family that for me to even think about making money with aviation I didn't really have a good model for that. So establishing that model really came down to two guys. One was my uncle Berle who was a mechanic and the other was a guy named Dave Grohl who restored A spearman's and t six is just down the road from the airport where I learned to ride my bicycle. So between those two guys, they sort of established that model for how you could. Use Airplanes to to make your money rather than just spend it, and that's that the sugar trajectory that led to the rest of it. That is awesome. So l. it you have a really cool company name was Sabi flight test was Sabi erasing how did that name come about? Yeah. So we're enough we were eating Sushi right No, but So we we did come up with the name eating Sushi. We were looking for a name for the for the race plane are we had bought our cast it project that happened to be green and I was looking for a name that would tie the the color of the airplane to the branding and would also fit well on the side of the airplane. Right there's like that aspect ratio between the. Pilot's seat back bulkhead in the front of the Horizontal Stab, you WanNa kind of that space efficiently as possible So between that and you know having a lot of. It was going to be fun for fun to say this is a really engineering response. Sorry about that. But that was where we came up with with Sabi unfortunately now, we're stuck with it so. So tell us a little bit that company. Yeah. So I think you Kinda Kinda. Talk about Michael Brawl in in Dave right back in. Michigan. Right and so you sort of like I'm GonNa make money with aviation like what does that look like you're trying to figure out like how to set those sites right sort of doing bookwork get engineering degree like how's it all add up to what end up in in Muhabi at scaled right so quickly that that Idea becoming an engineer on aviation engineer on airplanes to like like, can you fly like what it's like test like that's like a really exponential curve right? We go from like WHOA can I make money with airplane to like oh? Wow. Like Mike Millville is like a high school trained like NPR slash astronaut that is the coolest thing ever, and how do you like do that right? Well. It turns out like other people coming up with that same thing at the same time. So there was like a handful of us at scale and really at the Mojave airport that we're all sort of competing for like you know who was GonNa the the visualization was that. Somebody was going to have to sit in the right seat of those spaceship flights somewhere between like yeah. Melville was going to get the first flight you know Pete or whatever but it was gonna be some flights before customers were in the right seat in the back seat and that Steve was gonna you know some get bored and they were going to put someone there and you would have a chance to be an astronaut supersonic all reversible controls rocket engine like everything flying the world's greatest Hondo. So, creating a path to make yourself competitive for that in this environment like mojave work for spaceship one before they should wonder but voyageur Mohammed was desolate. There was nobody really after spatial won the place got like flooded with talent. So. There's all these guys that are buying for my spot. I want that spot, right so I go to work as hard as I can all day but the other day there's slow there's time left the end of the day. What am I gonNA, do with it, and that's where we saw became came down to right. So whether it was with air racing or helping a friend developed with a platform whatever I can subsidize my flight test activities with a full time job, and then ideally I don't have to. Be With the Siren headed like design the airplane builder my wife working you know basically two fulltime jobs to get things done as you move to where you're doing that more and more professionally like just not happening to build the airplane is such a huge benefit independent of whether or not I get paid or not right. So if you can use that full-time job to subsidize the back end, that's where it was Sabi allows me to build that resume that hopefully makes me competitive remember you know the the sort of the end of the the civilian test pilot dream scale was when they started bringing in More and more military trust train test pilots, right military test pilot right and it's two million bucks to make him a fighter pilot. Then you drop another million to two million to make him a test pilot that's what you're competing with as a civilian, right so high, you get that experience. So I have to like give away my time at least I didn't have to build all those airplanes to get the experience and that's what the the basis of Assab years. Right. I have to make a silly youtube video or do some engineering build an airplane whatever it is to the flight test experienced resume because that's First of all sort of unforgettable experience in second ball. That's what we're passionate about. So so that's You're

We're GONNA tackle that bet. Good I or we still Contribute to retirement given though on the baby step. Seven houses paid off. I wouldn't until you had seventy thousand dollars extra in your savings account to write a check after the honeymoon. Yes Sir yes sir so I would be if I were in baby step seven. I would stop everything. Put Seventy grand a sad when you getting married this summer. Okay what's your what's your income. Seven thousand okay. Well you'RE NOT GONNA have seventy thousand save by summer then. No no I got my. I got fifteen thousand For My Emergency Fund and then just still still saving interesting. You know honest with help. Had that'll yeah. Yeah so you're GonNa just gonNA tear into that. I just pile up cash until the summer when you come back from the honeymoon checks towards debt and then kicked back in like your own baby step two because you are going to be all baby. "Take a little while longer. Isn't it see how that works. It's the big numbers you're looking at and then that forces you to say we're going to have to pay a price to win because you are. You're going to pay a price to win. I don't how big price you're GonNa pay is because I don't know how big a mess you made and it is a mess you made. When I made the mass in my house I made the mess moored? Oy have a lot of if you could travel. There's much mass understand him understand how we got here. Question is where we're going your turn. You know it's your turn radic sad go mm-hmm with I'm Jackie is in Atlanta. Welcome to the Dave Ramsey show. Jackie thank you so much for taking in my call. Sure what's up. I have to mention this be smaller my husband and I all we have left our student loans about thirty thousand each total sixty our household. Income's approximately seventy eight thousand. He will be eligible for social security in August. So my question to you is chain. We take the early social security. which would add about eighteen hundred dollars extra to our monthly income? Wait until he's sixty six win. It'll go up to about twenty two twenty three hundred. Well obviously the sooner you take it If you use it to grow wealth it's GONNA come out ahead for you but if you use it just to consume it it obviously early in you end up with less money by taking it sooner unless you dotson the sooner you die the smarter it looks mathematically to take it but if you invest it or use it to reduce debt so that you can invest then taking it as early as possible does make sense because you're getting a better rate of return on it than the then it's going to grow saw it. mathematically worked to go ahead and take it as long as you're going to use it to a further your net worth by reducing debt and or investing so. Yeah I'm I'll take it as soon as I can take it in that regard and I'll turn around and invest it because obviously don't need it. Misty is with us in California. Hi Misty welcome to the Dave Ramsey. Show days I'm great job. I love following your program program I just started and probably about six months ago. Cool and Unfortunately a divorce. was going winglets financial irresponsibility. And I know that I have to take my part in it however has been chose not to make a house payment for three months left million dollar house didn't bother mentioning. The work worked about it anyway. Long fast forward A pleased Prius came with me out of the divorce. And he's insisting he insisted insisted that he wanted his name off the title which makes sense So yesterday I had A tax return refund because it was pre date set. Shut up that way and took I had two thousand set aside to go. I have a full emergency fund Well the thousand getting started and I've been paying off my Snowballing it and making great progress. I have to credit cards left. The only needed a thousand for the down hemant to keep them on payment about the same because it is a previous I was budgeting prior to the curious about three hundred and fifty and gas money per Month and my payment on the prettiest purchase well to lease it at the time. It was creepy. Fifty you're flipping alise over to alone putting a thousand dollar down ending up with the same name. What's the balance? Yes and it came out to twenty two thousand and I haven't figured out that one I get makes it to the snowball football. I have two deaths in front of it. Six thousand each and right now. I'm putting six and it will go to eight fifty. 'cause I use that extra thousand to pay off this the current snowball butcher income and it's about Seventy five thousand pre-tax. You'll be debt free within two years in the cars less than after your annual income so your plan to keep it and pay it off right yes okay. One of the reasons I chose to keep it is because it's super reliable and it's super fuel-efficient I live in a really dangerous county It's an eight to bring this on this show but it's pot capital. USA shoop reliable and super fuel-efficient sufficient doesn't matter if you can't afford it you can afford it you can afford it so let's just do it. Let's just do it because I like my car and hi can be debt free completely not counting the house in under two years and my car is less than half my annual income and so those guidelines make it okay financially to keep this car. You're into catching a lot. Of flack from Dave Ramsey followers earlier today they don't know the guidelines. Then I mean are they Dave Ramsey followers because upset that exact thing like fifty thousand times. So how do they how. They crept Dave Ramsey followers. And they don't know that guideline I. I don't know Youtube Youtube. or where were you hanging out. It's Dave Ramsey Planner girls well you can just tell them the guideline is real simple. If you can pay the car off in less than two years and one hundred percent debt free not counting your house in less than two years and you like the car and the car all of your vehicles total together. There's less than half your annual income and you WANNA keep it in plow through it that is the guidelines is I've used ever since I've been on the air twenty five years. I mean fifty thousand times upset that at least so it sounds like somebody's just want you to be more hard core getting out of debt. But you're going to get there. You have thirty six thousand dollars in debt and you make seventy five thousand dollars a year. You're going to be debt free like a year. Fourteen months at the rate you're going and so you're doing just fine. You're doing fine. There's nothing wrong with what you're doing here. Nothing wrong whatsoever. If you'd call me up with you did call me up and asked me whether you're selling car. No you shouldn't sell the car. There you go open phones at triple eight eight two five five two two five so so funny this stuff. We teach we give these thumb rules of thumb these processes ways of measuring things. Don't buy a house where your payments more than a fourth of your take home pay on a fifteen year fixed rate mortgage. Put Down as much as you can put down and it's better if you put down twenty percent because you avoid. PM On these rules of thumb. I've said like Brazilian freaking Tom's car. Donald vehicles more than half your annual income. Even if they're all paid for because vehicles go down in value anything with a stink in motor and it goes down in value. Now you have all your net worth tied up freaking toys. You're a little boy a little girl and you're always GONNA be a little boy and little girl. That's what's going on and I liked cars too. I drove a really nice one down here today. You know I'm not against you. Have a nice calm against your nice car having you and so I use these guidelines I in favorably terribly this stuff when people get plugged into this what we teach there like. I'm going to do everything you say but maybe not that one thing. I'm like doing Dave Ish stuff I'm GONNA do your plan ish well. Why don't you just do your plan and admit that that's what it is? And don't blame me for Gloria Stupidity. Okay or you get super hardcore financial pharisee and make it even harder than what we lay out out and take a lady like that ripta shreds in some private facebook group or something you know and and that's not my plan either. That's not Dave Ish. Why don't you just call it your your plan? You don't agree with that plan you. It's okay if you want to have your plan. That's fine mine is the one that five million people have used to get out of debt. But you can have your plan but don't blame my plan on your financial pharisee self or on your wish because your ish is when people have but do stuff and when you have but do stuff you get a half cut result you really do. It's not in different than that. You've got to decide died. What is the truth and the problem is our culture has stopped believing that there is a truth and let me just help you with this one hundred percent of you you liberals or conservatives jump off a building you will find the sidewalk a hundred percent of the time you can't fly? There's a thing called the law gravity and that is the truth. If you think truth is relative try. That exercise is the Darwin. Awards will be awarded to you seriously try that there is a truth. One plus one equals a two one hundred percent of the time. It's not relative you don't get to make up your own plan. You don't get to decide that. Suddenly payday lending is smart for the poor. It's not it's screwing the poor. It's oppressing the poor if you own a payday lending operation. You are scum Tom. If you walk in there you are dumb if you defend them you are scum. They oppress and beat up on poor people. Poor people need to have access is to capital. They don't need to get screwed. It keeps them poor. That's the truth. It's not really relative. There's not another side at that equation except the wrong side. You can just look at this stuff car. Leasing one hundred percent of the time is stupid. mathematically it's.

It's worth about about six hundred to six twenty five <hes> you know some of the other ones that sold that around us that are around us <hes> and we have about one hundred thousand dollars in the bank account and so we're wanting to <hes> <hes> pay off our house with past. However i've i've kinda run this past you know real estate agents and things like that and they've all said to hold onto the four plex you know when i'm you know forty five years old that i'm i'm gonna regret knowing the four plex and that it'll just be a cash cow for me. You know going forward and just take a hundred thousand dollars that i have and put that down payment on a house so let me get this straight real estate agents suggested that you buy real estate and take out a mortgage no kidding. I mean in their defense and their defense is what they all think. It's how they think you're asking a dog. If it's hungry i mean i grew up in a real estate business and one thing about real estate people when it comes to investments they do not have a risk meter in order to.

The truth. Trouble saving. I have trouble losing weight. I have trouble dot self-discipline shelf control. It's kinda like you know, I hear the millennials they say, whether they call it adulting. Adulting. Growing up. One definition of maturity is learning to delay. Pleasure. You pay a price to win. Major grownup. While you're twenty two or sixty two you pay a price to win. Major grownup. "Jeremy, welcome to the Dave Ramsey show. Dave, thanks for taking my call. Sure. What's up? So I have a question about retirement contributions, fifteen percent of income going into tax deferred retirement. Do you have any suggestions for somebody who doesn't have a 4._0._1._K at work, and who also makes above the income threshold for Roth IRA is there anything other than a traditional IRA that I could contribute to you can do a back door Roth which regardless of your income. I do one every year in a way above the threshold and my wife that one when my wife is. Well, all that is is you open a an after tax traditional IRA in thirty seconds later. Roll it into a Roth. Okay. And that's privately that would. Yeah. That would still be only six thousand a year single person. Yes. Okay. And you're making over two over two hundred over hundred fifty. Yes. Okay. Good. Well, I guess as part of the way there anyway, we can do that. And you are you're not self employed. I'm not no, okay. All right. And your company has no 4._0._1._K. Wow. Okay. Well, the only other thing that's left. Then is I would do what are called low turnover mutual funds. Now the way that works is if you buy a single stock like, let's say you bought a share of XYZ company for fifty dollars, and it goes up in value to seventy dollars. You do not pay taxes on the on the twenty dollar increase in value until you sell it Correio since it grows tax deferred. And when you do sell it is holding longer than a year..

I people calling asking about the when I tell them that. I hold on the car kind of them away. So calling the scene what some difference from selling the car. Now that I wanna find cries, I I don't even want to drive it. What do you own it? Nineteen thousand. Okay. And what what is it really worth? What kind of offers? Would you get if you you know, if a buyer was going to write you a check did you look at Kelley blue book private sale. I was worth between what seventeen eighteen pounds in K. Right. The fact that you've got dead on it shouldn't keep somebody from buying it. They just want to know that you can pay the debt off and give them the title. Right. I guess we'll how do I convince them to then tell them I have to title from company, and it sounds real step. That's what it that's what drives them away. It's a normal. Transactional used car. What happens? What happens in most states? And I don't know in Arizona. You can check into be sure talked to us car dealer how they do it. But typically what happens is you give them the car, and you give them a Bill of sale. They get you a check you take the check with your other thousand or two thousand dollars down to the Bank and pay the car off. And then you get the title the title to the bar that is normally what happens in a used car transaction. Okay. Call the Diller or the the Bank and from how long it takes to get the title. And if if it's a local Bank local branch, see if they can get it delivered to the branch, tell them you're going to be needing it soon. And you could just meet the buyer at the Bank. That a word. Yeah. And that would that would take I get rid of a lot of their Hiba GB's that you run into I've done that too. But you gotta look at the gun feel like he's not gonna take your money in the end up with a car with no title, but that's a normal way to transact spot in most states. Now, you got checked with the different state your area that that's that's how we would do it in Tennessee. Hey, thanks for the call, man. This is the Dave Ramsey show.
