"Determine whether or not that is the case. I tend to think both sides will still settle. But we'll see. Well, sure, I mean for for John. Obviously, in this family, it's it's about the money he's owed on the contract. That's all it's about at the end for the university the same thing. On the other hand. I've always said that You have Heart media decided tomorrow that Gary Jeff was not a part of this plan. Wouldn't struggled or or ask why it wouldn't do me a good number one number two. I wouldn't want to be somewhere where I wasn't wanted, you know, And that's that's the bottom line. Brass tacks for me about jobs. If your employer doesn't want you there. Why in the world do you hang on with everything you got outside of a financial incentive to stay? And I think to a degree that may have been where you see was coming from. We don't want him. He knows we don't want him, eh? So he'll take what we offer him and John's looking at it from the standpoint of Hey, man, the contract says, if you get rid of me without cause you owe me more than five million bucks right? And so I think Cincinnati's perspective was all right. Well, maybe there's middle ground where he realizes. Look, we don't want you here. We're going to try to get rid of you. Maybe at the end of next season if you stick It's best for you to just move on and go about your business and find a new job and all that stuff. And so maybe he'll do that. And as it turned out, at least so far, that hasn't been the case. Do you look for a bounce back? Here for soccer fans of FC Cincinnati this year. I mean last year, not a great year for for anyone. Yeah, obviously because of Cove it and the shutdowns and all that stuff and Uh, but with the new stadium and everything, is there a re energy ization of excitement for people. It's a really good question because I don't think there's a team in the area. That had its brand suffer more because of the way last year went down, then have season tonight because even you know, before 2020 They would play home games, and the conversation inevitably shifted towards the size of the crowd. The atmosphere who was going to these games who was seen soccer in person for the first time, and it had less to do with What was happening on the field with the absence of that atmosphere and the on field product, not being very good at all. The buzz went away, So from their standpoint, new Stadium fans are allowed to return. Hopefully, by the end of the season, more fans will be allowed in. They were busy this all season. I mean, they. I think there's reason for hope, from the standpoint of it feels like they finally have their front office structure and coach the way they wanted. They? Finally, from a structural standpoint in the front office and with a coach look like a franchise that's capable of competing at the highest level of American soccer. And they spent money this offseason. They spent money on the roster. And, frankly, that's a theme that if you look at the Reds this offseason wasn't the case, so they spent money they had the number two pick in the MLS super drafts. And, you know, talking to people who cover the team. There seems to be a great amount of optimism. From an offensive standpoint, they couldn't be any worse than they were last year. This team should score some goals. I heard Jeff burning with Willy yesterday. We're going to score some goals. And it appears they have the personnel. I think last year if you watch them when they came back from the break when they came back from the shutdown, and they played in that tournament in Orlando with a brand new head coach, it was trying to survive by playing tactics that aren't sustainable, right. It was parked the bus play defense. Try to win games. One. Nothing in the interim. It kind of worked that they advance in the tournament that started the MLS relaunch. But that style wasn't sustainable and from what I gather, is they will be able to play a more aggressive style because of the improved personnel painted with a couple minutes left. No Eggar with Gary Jeff here on the Bill Cunningham showed 700 wlw. Anything becoming clearer as far as the Bangles in the NFL draft. My money is on them taking Jamaar Chase wide receiver from L s U with the fifth overall pick. Um there's validity to that right? You have a chance to get the best wide receiver and The folks who study this draft like the offensive lineman that will be available in the second round Mork than they like the wide receivers who will be available in the second round. My counter to that is this. Joe Burrow is going to make a star out of a lot of different types of wide receivers. Yeah, this is an Andy Dalton. Andy Dalton was well, we've gotta surround him with his many weapons as possible, And clearly you'd like to do that. But I think Joe Burrow was good enough that he's going to be able to make due at worst with whatever you give him if you keep him upright. And pin a saw the offensive lineman from Oregon who is, I think the most likely guy to be taken. If it's not tomorrow Chase. He doesn't fix all of your offensive line issues. But if the idea is to methodically build the best offensive line possible, you started that two years ago in the draft with Jonah Williams. Why would you disrupt that now? So it feels like things are pointing towards Tamara Chase played with Joe Burrow. He's got Joe Burrows endorsement. The Bangles were very unaggressive when it came to the wide receiver position in free agency, which I thought was kind of surprising They did address the offensive line, at least at one position now that acquisition Riley Reef In my opinion, at least should not preclude you from taking alignment in the draft, But I think when you read the tea leaves it just it feels like if it's a decision about one of those two players the lean towards chase, and I'm fine with that. Preferences soul, But if you're gonna give me the best wide receiver in the draft, there's some validity to the argument that says that's the most prudent decision. MacGregor. Thank you..

"So with the extra playoff, I'll could go over and tell you 889 I would probably play the Bears over 7.5. Do you think, Danny that a good place? I just don't know what we're basing it on the over right now. On paper. You don't have a cornerback. You got rid of Kyle Fuller. You don't really have a quarterback. You haven't done anything really to address the offensive line. I mean, personally, I think they'll be lucky to win seven games. Are they better at quarter quarter back than they were last year? No, I don't believe they are. I'm Andy Dalton's a fine player. But Andy don't Mitch for biscuits six of one half that have a dozen of the other. We know Nick Foles sucks. Miller. Andy Dalton or Mitchell to biscuit just for the 21 season when you take it honestly? Yes, I'm taking Mitch. And I don't know. And you know, I don't like Mitch. I know what down there. So how about the Lions in the five? If I'm going to go under that thunder, worse? Yeah. I think you got your golf stinks. Right? So you're losing Matthew Stafford, you're getting Jared Goff. How many? How many games to the Lions? They were five and 11. The reason I'm asking about the lines is because if you don't believe in Dalton and the Bears you think you're going backwards. The lines Widmore know what the lines record wasn't home last year of the eight games One in seven at home. Yeah, there were four and four on the road. The only thing that's wipe it out pandemic wipe it out. The only thing that's causing me questioning is the is the extra game, buddy. It's that extra 17th game. We're normally five could easily go. Yeah, go under pretends like that is 17 years ago. I'm not betting the over. I'll tell you that. No, the bears win more games in the lions, So they got a new coach and they better old boy. Go Dan Campbell. You can't. I mean, I I'm going to change, Probably By the time we get to September on, Always, it's always Now it's training camp and then right before the season when I make my final prediction, But eight sounds good. Yeah, one sounds good. I really need to see what they do in the traffic. If you made may pick I'd go over on the bears by like a win. I think if if you're like it's great to talk about, But if you're somebody who's actually looking to wager like today you're insane. You need to wait till after the draft. You know we could have away from the draft. I think a real intriguing one on this list is the Colts at 10 wins now that they have Carson Wentz. Because that that is a really good football team. They get better with Carson Wentz over Philip Rivers. No. Do you know? You don't And you just asked me my opinion. I don't think they did. I'm not a huge Carson Wentz guy. Just lay off. If you're asking me like win total They will be the best in the A F C south. So why wouldn't they win? 10 games guides? Only 9.5. That's surprising to me. You gotta realize to win 10 games Now you can still lose seven correct. That's it. The class of the A F. C south of the Titans and the Colts. Who's gonna get the 10 wins faster. Who's gonna finish with 10 wins? I'm going to say the Titans. I'd say the colt that they do They have a line on the Texans. Are they affections or five? Yeah, 9.5. As far as the wind total 9.5 for who? No. That's the Titans. Tensions are five action. I'm serious because of the Sean being completely up in the air. They have the Jaguars actually getting more wins and that Yep, I'll take the under there. It's gonna take a little while. Trevor Laurence gets seven wins just by waking up in the morning. That's not his hair is worth for, but not not to say rain for Clemson. Jackson. How about the Raiders projection of eight? This eight. They're paying that freaking coach. That guy $100 million. Didn't you see it was circulating yesterday and Twitter. Jon Gruden stumping for Johnny Manziel to be the number one overall pick in 2014? Yep. Along with the like, tagline. This man is making $100 million to make football decision, right? I'm not a Gruden guy. I'm not You've actually used the words you don't use often hate So you've said you hated Jon Gruden Not do that right here before. That was an old version of me. I know. There's that word. No. Uh huh. Just I'm not a fan. I'm not a fan of his. He's a phony. He's a phony ass. Is calling someone a phony ass worse than saying I hate them. Like you like the whole idea of the word I hate is what you don't. It's not the actual four letter word I hate. That's bad. It's the intention, but calling someone a phony ass has the same horrible intentions. It's not any better. Just could you not have an erection with him, and I find him to be incredibly phony. No, I know, but I said you said you hated him. And you're like, I don't know the Chicago Bears. When I watch him, I get bored. Get bored thinking you, um He's not talking to you. There's a beautiful banana. Tell everyone why you don't like Jon Gruden for those that missed it, So I mean, that's exactly right. That's exactly true for you giving ravage almost blew us off today. Would you say you hate him? No. It's different. No, it's not. I say my I was on the field at the world Syriza I look up and in the first row three Ft. For me is Jon Gruden. He's in town to do the Bears game. Just 2016 obviously. Walked right up to him. And I'm like, Hey, John. I introduced myself and he could not have been more charming. I said, Hey, man, can I get you on our show? Absolutely gives me a self. I said Okay, I'm going to have my producer follow up. No problem Still waiting, And I've talked to him on that. Don't call not doing any interviews. Okay? But I want to show you what the turkey hole is. It's the turkey help. You're a turkey old anyway. Why are you arguing with sound bites His calling a guy in turkey hold better or worse than saying I hate him. I mean, this is one of the same. But I don't know why you're yella get sound bites from years ago because I can't get the real thing. If John Woman if Jon Gruden texted me right now was like, Hey, I'm sorry about that, You know, incident a couple years back. I'd love to come on tomorrow. Would you agree to talk to him? Yes. If he apologizes, Know if he doesn't apologize. He just says I'll come on and talk football. Are you gonna have a conversation with my president? Are you going to say? Yes, I'll talk to him. Here's a guy here is one of my long time, friend. I met him at Wrigley Field. Jon Gruden is with us here on Capitol Good couch. How are you, buddy? That's how we'll go up every day. With that. I've been a big fan of year or years..

"It is a really going to change the overall trajectory of the team going forward. You'll, Joe, add to the offensive line. I get it, but you're still gonna be kind in that stuck spot right? But if you treat out and you collect more picks, which he's always giving up Then you can start adding multiple players in the second round. Who should be starters? OK for junior was almost greenie this week. Another name that's come up a player that not many people have really seen Jamie Newman. He transferred from Wake Forest, so he didn't play last year. Jamie Newman, What is Mel Kiper? Think about Jamie Newman? Is this a player that could be available for the Bears? I think he would have been a much higher pick that he played this year he went from Wake Forest that Georgia didn't play. Go back 2019, which I did and look at him there. Old threat. I mean, he made some spectacular throws on the move. He had obviously a really good year for the Demon Deacons. Had he played it, George and played Well, I think he could have been at worst. The second round picks. You're probably going to see him. I can't say somewhere on day three. You're gonna probably see him in that fourth, the sixth round, but Jamie Newman is that quarterback that we've kind of forgotten about. If you go back to 2019, you're getting him probably 3 to 4 rounds later than he probably would have gone. So that's Mel Kiper on Jamie Newman. So those those are some of the names some of the others in book Kellen Monde. There are other names are out there. Little bit kind of like projects but to me You make a great point. Move back. Get one of these guys in the second round, but get more pics and add to your football team because I just don't see any of these guys being like. Davis Mills is going to be the starting quarterback of the Chicago Bears for the next 10 years after he learns from Andy Dalton. Yeah, no. Yeah, I mean, It's tough to project that out now, but I think the idea Of you need a lot to change this team. Yeah. And so if you could scheme the system and do what's smart teams like Baltimore do the Patriots. What they've done in the past continue to move back, but collect assets for the future. I think that's a smart way to go. Yeah, you know, we also smart Chris, Betting on the block and Abdullah Vandal game. Oh, of the night Love it The Fanduel game of the night yesterday under 7.5 runs for the White Sox. I mean, come on, At least at least there was a no hitter, Torto the temper that loss, so you gotta win that way. If you bet them with the White Sox run line If you get the White Sox first five innings, we're gonna bet some first five innings tonight. Let's doing the Fanduel Sports book came that I gotta Fanduel Sports book right now, and we're going to go with the Dodgers and the Colorado Rockies adultery first five innings. Under 4.5. You've got Julio Yuri is going for the Dodgers. He's good. He's very good. He held the Rockies to one run in his last inning. So I like the first five innings, you click on it right There you go to the game. Click on the game. Click on first livening First matchup was in Colorado to well, this one's in L, a Los Angeles So I like the under foreign half runs. And if you haven't signed up for Fanduel Sports book What are you doing?.
Recognizing misinformation about the climate
"Teachers have a lot to cover in their classrooms. So many skim over climate change. But sarah a middle school science teacher in dalton. Georgia is committed to making time for it. Our students are begging us to talk about this. They are begging us to address it to see it and to help them process and make sense of it. So odd finds ways to make connections between climate change and the other material. She's teaching for example. A lesson about how he won or molecules can help students understand why warming temperatures caused more extreme rain or a unit about how surfaces absorb and reflect. Light provides an opportunity to explain why the dark ocean absorbs more solar energy than white snow and ice and melting sea ice can accelerate global warming. Odd says one goal is to prepare students to critically evaluate what they see on the news and social media so they can better identify information. Our students need that scientific literacy to be able to say. I know that's not true. I know that's not accurate and be able to read media articles with a healthy level of skepticism as well as a critical eye
Chicago Bears' tweet Andy Dalton is 'QB1'
"Dalton said he was promised to be the bears starting quarterback before signing with the team or not the bears putting their support behind the red ripe. When you see that the tweet from the bears account last night heralding their new. qb
Chicago Bears' tweet makes it clear that Andy Dalton is 'QB1'
"Can we say the bears would have been better off keeping mitchell trubisky. Can we or candy. I'm going to say we can. And just in general with all the decisions that ryan place makes. They're probably all wrong. I would probably lean toward the other way just when you look at it on his face. Andy dalton is a lesser player mitchell. Trubisky we saw that with the qbr. The two guys last year. Don't have a bunch of weapons down in dallas still. Couldn't find a way to be able to get it done so that the bears earned were spot quarterback wise than they were. I would agree with you. What is confounding in every conceivable way and it is magnified by chicago. Bears social media yesterday on twitter. The bears posted that last night. That picture you see there of dalton and a bears uniform with a message. Qb one and adam schefter quote tweeting it by saying it's a statement from the bears which indeed it
Did Washington Do Enough to Push Dallas in the NFC?
"Did washington football teams teamers and the giants do enough to push dallas in the nfc. So i left philly out. I don't yeah. I just don't i am found anyone who really thinks they're going to be competitive. I mean let's wait and see got jalen whatever. But that's a team that they're not really fun to talk about. Because their free agency considered like stripping you know but i mean they did sign at harris for like nothing which is probably better sightings but what you have in jalen also you serianni. Yes hundred percent but washington in york both very active and did interesting. Things i think are worth discussing because dallas after the dak prescott deal was finally done. They've kind of made a few moves around the margins adding kia neil. Getting tied as kind of swing. Tackle still have question marks at adra sure and coroner but washington like i think they might have had my favorite free agency or at least the one that i'm most excited to see. I don't know payoff on the field. So just to recap. They signed the aforementioned ryan fitzpatrick one year. Ten million dollars. They tag branch eff. Who's there Pro bowler guard. They signed william jackson from the bengals. Cornerback three years. Forty two million dollars and then added panthers wide receiver. Curtis samuel for three years thirty four point five million dollars so just starting like let's start here. Do you agree with me like do you. Do you like what they did. And do you think it makes them an actual competitor in the division. A really like what. Washington did You know. I think among the guys among the quarterback that they could get because not only were they never in it for russell wilson or or wherever really going to be competitive for shawn watson You had to start looking okay. We'll what's realistic. And it's the ryan fitzpatrick coming off his best his career. It's an andy dalton and whereas that really gonna lead you I think that there was a lot of interest in marcus. Mariota he still is not able to sign with another team because the raiders are still holding him hostage But so. I like the quarterback. Move because you're essentially saying let's build up the team the and let's have the strongest team possible around the quarterback position where we don't sell out just because we have to for that position free agency. Maybe they make a move at the draft for a guy that they have their eye on. Or maybe they just say let's. Let's keep the boat floating this year and let's make our move Next free agency. So i thought that they probably overpaid by million or two on curtis samuel. But they wanted him And and ron rivera really likes them. Obviously william jackson an incredible deal You look around and you need another pass rusher and they can they can probably keep ryan kerrigan as a third down specialist if he comes down off his number end so you know he's he's still doing that. He's gonna get paid a whole lot of money. I'm not sure that that money is really out there especially at this point in free agency so they didn't want to mortgage their future for for quarterback right. Now they wanted to keep the boat afloat. I that and so. I like what they have done. Specially on evens. Then when you consider the the sort of offense and the pre-snap that they can have with all those offensive playmakers. Now that curtis annuals there with terry corn. I really like with done.
Top 10 players signed by Patriots
"Talk about the Patriots. The the Patriots grabbed everybody's attention by making move after move after move after move. Like we're watching it over agency going off. How many people are going to bring in its kind of unbelievable how many starters they've added? And so I count they added ten players that I think are very very significant to their team next year. In fact, I would say pretty clearly the Patriots are back and a lot of people saw this coming, you know, but they are going to be a force in the NFL next year here is my list my nerdy list of the ten players the top players. They added that are very significant to their roster next year. The first two are massive. It will reshape the entire Patriots offense. They added two tight ends Johnny Smith and Ed Hunter Henry. To Johnny Smith signed from Tennessee. He signed a four year deal worth up to fifty million dollars. That's Thirty one point two five million dollars guaranteed and he's only twenty-four years old. So that's Monday. That's a really gigantic Marquis franchise player. He cited the reason why it came to New England is cuz he loves Bill Belichick. He's got great respect for him. And I want to point out of all the everybody I'm about to talk about these shows to be in New England Bill Belichick got his kind of guys who sought out New England wanted to be there and wanted to work hard and win a Superbowl. I think it matters. It's very very exciting. These are not with Josh Gordon's or what's the other example Phillip Dorsett who they made a move for and they're not really like that. You think they fit they don't work out know. These are guys who all chose to be in New England who wanted to win a Superbowl. I really want to win a Superbowl. These guys went out of their way to be New England now the other tight and they brought in With twenty-six-year-old tight end Hunter Henry from the LA Chargers got a three-year deal twenty-five million dollars guaranteed. It's worth up to thirty seven point five million dollars total if he meets all those incentives. They also added two wide receivers the Patriots brought in Nelson agholor to a you got a two year twenty six million dollar contract East twelve years old. Now a lot of people do not like this move and I I get it Nelson agholor is not the most flashy player in the NFL but I think if it's very well with Cam Newton, he's good at he's not going up and getting the ball. He's got good hands did some stuff of the Raiders that I think deserves your attention go watch what he did with the Raiders and I just I'm like, huh a lot of good plays. Okay. I understand. I see the potential Bill Belichick and the Patriots would see and Nelson agholor go will give the guy a good contract, especially considering the Patriots have like our desolate at wide receiver. They need help. They got home. Who is awesome but he can't do everything by himself from the slot. They have n'keal Harry who n'keal Harry. I I think he's going to pop. I think he's going to progress and keep getting better. But she's not a number one right now. So on top of the page where it's also added Kendrick Bourne guy from my local area actually went to Eastern Washington University 25 years old. He's coming from the San Francisco 49ers. He got a three year deal worth twenty two point five million dollars. Now another thing the Patriots did they also added they signed Center Ted carriages and they traded for tackle Trent Brown. So this is the new Patriots offense right now. They've receivers Nelson agholor, Julian Edelman Kendrick born and kill hair is its own nuclear Aguilera. I'm doing my best. It's a hard game to say. They also have Sony Michelle running backs for any receivers Sony Michelle at running back and improved offensive line. Cam Newton at quarterback who I get why people doubt Cam? He's a former NFL MVP and with when you put cams Talent with a lot of weapons including two outstanding tight ends Hunter Henry Smith, right man. I'll tell you what I look at the Patriots offense and think two things immediately number one. Everything is going to run through their brand new Titans. Their entire offense now is probably going to drive down the seams of the field right up the middle. They're going to use our tents heavily lot of play-action again. I am scheme wise things will look a lot like the page words did back in the day when they had drunk and Aaron Hernandez together to start tight ends. Now number two. I feel very very confident with Cam Newton as the Patriots quarterback and it surprised me but I want to remind you that two years ago. Tom Brady was the page word starting quarterback and did basically nothing and the reason was there were no weapons there. He kept running into the same brick wall. His receivers weren't good enough. So, how can I think you and I would both agree. I like Cam Newton Tom Brady's a better quarterback than Cam Newton. So my point is if Tom Brady couldn't make it work with New England's roster. How was Cam Newton supposed to succeed? He was set up to fail will now Cam Newton's being given weapons is being set up to do. Well, I'm excited man. He's a former NFL MVP, he's hungry. I I personally believe Cam Newton's going to have an awesome year and it really is going to make extended one-year deal with like it was like three and a half million dollars with a bunch of incentives. I honestly think we're gonna look back at his contract at the end of next year and go. Can you believe the deal they got on Camden he played so well for no money. I really think he's he's a guy who can didn't play well enough wage. Last year to earn a new gigantic contract. So he's going to have to show what he can do this year and maybe earn more money next year but I think cam is poised to do very very well and make a lot of money and win a lot of games in New England
Chicago Bears sign Andy Dalton
"Bears have reportedly agreed to a one year deal with former Bangles and Cowboys quarterback Andy Dalton. The contract is reportedly worth $10 million with another $3 million available in incentives. The Bears were reportedly looking to trade for Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson. But we're told that Seattle was not looking to trade
Bears' Super Bowl odds fall after Dalton signing
"The chicago bears have signed quarterback. Andy dalton the deal is for one year ten million dollars plus another three mill incentives. He spent the last season with the cowboys started. The last nine games of the season detect prescott fractured his right ankle. the super bowl odds by the way have gotten worse since they signed him yesterday. The bears odds to win it. All in two thousand twenty one dropped from forty one to fifty to

"Their mind and decide that they are willing to talk about russell wilson and if and when that happens the bears are not gonna take the call and go. Thanks we're good. We got dalton. They'll they'll listen at that point and they'll make another effort. I don't think there's any doubt about it. So i think the draft is a date to watch june. I is a date to watch because of the cap implications of trading a guy like wilson before or after. I just don't think this is all the way over. And you definitely need a contingency plan in case. That doesn't work out. I told the chaffee wants back in here. De what are we missing. Well the any dolan contract is such that the bears gave him a seven million dollar signing more now. If i were the bears. I would have given a series of option bonuses that i could have paid during the season and kept alive the idea that maybe seattle might have wanted andy dalton in a trade if seattle changes its mind and decides it is open to talking with chicago but again they've had i think exhaustive conversations and the bears came away from those conversations under the impression that seattle was not going to trade russell. Wilson i'll say this they certainly were not going to trade russell wilson to a team with the twentieth overall pick were. They can't get a quarterback now if you can promise a quarterback that seattle really like that. It's comfortable with. I think seattle is open to listening. But they're not open to listening to a team with the twentieth overall. Pick in the draft ila. Somehow they can make some magic happen. That is very hard to do. Okay so this. This is all really important to other key point. Yeah thank you. Let me let me get tori in. Kaga was the team. Yeah let me get into the conversation here for the first time today tori a pleasure to see you as always you keep using the words passive aggressive every time i ask you about the way. Russell wilson has handled this now that we see all this happened in front of our eyes. What do you make of it. I'm not surprised at all about results. Rust never came out and said he wants to be traded. Nothing's going to change. Seattle has no reason. It's like having your nice luxury ferrari and saying. Hey i want to buy from you. Well you can't buy from owner. Who doesn't want to sell it. Just give it away and russ hasn't come out to say that he wants.
"dalton" Discussed on The Amateur Traveler Podcast
"Think that appeals to a lot of tourists the day-trip we did honor day before we hit the dalton was out to a place called channel hot springs and this is natural. Hot springs were discovered about ten years. So after Spare banks became a settlements about an hour drive. It is a perfect dry to take if you're driving the dalton to take four because while it is paid the hallway it sort of gives you an idea of what you're gonna be doing. The road is paved but it has all these frost heats which is when the water built a low in the trees is it can make these makes the road uneven to say the least their stiffs. And then there's places where you lurch real bad. It serves as a real good our long introduction into what you're getting yourself into but the resort at hot springs itself sophist great. Like i say. There's an indoor and outdoor heated pool and they have a nice restaurant on site so it does make for a real nice day trip. I know we'll talk about the northern lights later. But who aren't going to get on the through who wanna see the northern lights. Ten hot springs arkansas tours that include hopefully viewing of the aura borealis perfect trip from fairbanks we spent three or four hours out there and during most of the your you can do plane flights like scenic viewing flights over some of the alaskan bush. There's a lot to do out there. And we went in september the very beginning of september so a lot of after labor day a lot of the tourists had shut down okay so it was interesting frost because we still able to catch a lot of what was going on but so it sounds like you would recommend going in the summer before labor day. So you don't have things. Shut down i would. I would also say this. Though the time we went at the beginning of september while some stuff wasn't check out. We got lucky because follow is very short in alaska but even the trip to hot springs the white birch were in change colors so we were just. We were confronted with a sea of yellow everywhere from these incredible white birches and then on the way down by the time we three or four days since we went up they had already started to leave the trees. That's how short seasons there. We really enjoyed september. I will say one thing. We got really lucky on. We didn't have the mosquitoes that you hear the legendary stories about lasca miskitos. We did not have the problem with that in september that they do in june early june. I think the road also would be in really bad shape but also the bucks would be something else. Good safety tip there okay. So the dalton highway itself it was built to service. The oilfields up in prudhoe bay. It was built between nineteen seventy-three and nine hundred seventy five..
What Is Clubhouse and Do You Need to Be on It?
"Talk about clubhouse before we run out of time I what what are your thoughts on club. I feel like clubhouse right now is is like as we speak february twenty. Twenty one is still in private I wouldn't call a beta on the app store. It's invite only right but they seem to be accelerating the invitations to the point. Now where february. Twenty twenty one sort of is the month where clubhouse went big. Yeah i would agree with that. I mean i would say maybe maybe january No yeah i'm trying to think. When was the lawn on. When when did he do the thing that was like it's over joins twitter moment twenty twenty one today january to february. And i'm sure you know in hindsight you know there'll be more people in march and more people in but it's getting a. Can you describe what clubhouse is and then. Tell me your thoughts about it okay. I'm going to find something. That is certainly find my tweet that i sent about it because stevens noffke was annoyed with me but i stand by it. Okay this was. Someone asked me two weeks ago. Says what does one do with clubhouse. And then i wrote waste time. Not working by listening to other people not working talking about stuff. They claim to be experts end but really aren't while hoping for celebrities to show up. That's pretty it's pretty tart. But but i don't disagree with it. And i say this as someone who i've spent a lot of time on clubhouse i've hosted shows on capelle when that was still a beta feature. I think i joined in april. I'm i'm not above this. Like at all. I'm just saying like when i use it. It is usually because it's the end of the day. And there i see one of the main notifications come in that. You know somebody you're on things interesting is going on or i'm like you know kind of trying to avoid doing actual work and so i tune in the afternoon and then listen to other people who are often doing the same thing and then there is that bit of like. Oh and maybe someone famous will pop in. I don't know i'm being totally honest like for me that that is kind of the appeal. That's not to say that. I don't think there. I think that you can have some real substantive and interesting conversations and and there are some really interesting ways it can be used in the way that it's interest. Graph is both connected but disconnected from twitter. I think is interesting i was. I was in a room last week. End someone's a ten year. Old was briefly in the room before that was deemed. I guess not okay. And and We were asking the the youth some questions about their use of technology. And you know they kind of described it. They were like. Oh it's dischord for adults and that's actually not a bad description to be totally honest like it's kind of scored audio groups but you know audio channels for adults. That's that's not a completely terrible analogy I i'm trying to wrap my head around it. I think there are. I do think they're onto something totally. And i also think i haven't quite had this feeling about something since instagram in two thousand ten like so i was not on the instagram beta n. g. siegler was and he tweeted enough like pictures from it. I definitely kind of it was like okay square pictures filters and then i just say on my other. Podcast dithering with ben thompson. I think the episode that aired this morning. That i remember where i was when i realized instagram out of beta and i could sign up. I was with my family down in disneyworld. And i was on a bus going from I think i even remember which park we're going to. We're going from our hotel to the disney studios park on the little disney transportation. Bus and i was like. Oh it's out of beta quick. Get gruber still available got it start clicking around and like within five minutes because you know all of a sudden we're at disney and it's time to have fun and go on rides and stuff. I was like oh this. Is i get this. This is great. You know now. That is the original instagram where it was. Just you post pictures and you see pictures from the people you follow and you can comment on the pictures And you can apply these filters that re- you know at the time was great feature because don't care cell phone cameras still so crappy. The filters it was perfect and histogram or no hips dramatic amount of it was was awesome so it fit without whole asiatic that was happening with the time that made it. Easy to to apply like they. They didn't take as long as you know. Some of the other filter ops did and it. It really made your photos look better and added remember. When they added the tilt shift feature and amazing. Yeah until fisher. Was this massive deal. Because i was like. Oh my god i can take mr rogers pictures right. Like is how i felt at the time. The hips dramatic took so long. And i don't know. I've never to anybody who could explain it. I don't know if they did it on purpose to to fake. Yeah but it hipster. Matic took so long to apply filters remember talking to somebody at apple about near like. Yeah it makes no sense to even if you're using a bat algorithm it shouldn't take that long and it was like crazy. It was frustrating and instagram. Let you like oh this filter. Nope this filter. Nope and they apply instantly. And then you'd pick one that major picture look better then you'd posted and i was like i got it. I was like oh. This is going to be huge. Just a snap judgment. I feel that way. I feel that way about clubhouse with just with a little less certainty because the thing about instagram was i knew i wanted to use it whereas with gregg house. I'm like i get this. I can see why people really get. I don't think this is for me. Yeah no i kind of agree with you. And i'm like i go back and forth about my feeling like i do. I do think that it's you know. Current valuation is kind of insane. Yes drink the concept has massive legs. Absolutely i think the other difference is is that instagram came out. There were a couple of other Kind of competitor's pick please which was available on both ios and android that dalton caldwell who later did app dot net did and the. Didn't you know work and there were some other kind of attempts at doing similar things but instagram was always wear momentum was and i think it's because they had really strong product direction. I think that always going to be getting the product direction in the attic. Usability was key. It was always product. I don't always product. I clubhouse one of those things were not that i don't think we're i wonder if it's going to be more like an instagram stories. Saying we're not as a staff staffed stories. Thanks but you see where. I'm going with this where it's a great idea but it could be potentially co-opted and done better by someone else. Like i feel like twitter spaces. Could you know. Beat it in a way that you know. No one else even had a chance against instagram. Even though instagram was ios only until it was acquired by facebook like no one else even had a chance at sucks all the oxygen out of the room Because it was it was the best. Might i feel like the concept of clubhouse has a lot of legs just don't know of clubhouse it's going to be the thing or if it'll be whatever mark cuban. He thinks he's doing or if it'll be twitter spaces. I don't think it'll be facebook. Facebook single fall flat on. Its face but i do feel like twitter spaces could potentially you know Hold the the instagram move and like make their version of stories way more successful even though it's a blatant copy it's it's better
Stop with the Cam Newton nonsense
"Season officially upon us. We've got a lot of lot of stories a lot of rumors lot of things floating out there that may not make people happy. It's the long dark Patriots podcast. We're going to talk about everything and anything related to the Patriots particularly their quarterback situation, of course always rate review subscribe all that good stuff regarding Patriots podcast with Nick cattles nickel be back for another episode later on this week. I'm John zanis filling in and the story du jour or do week or whatever you want to say here appears to be a Cam Newton wage. His name is resurfacing and the Patriots quarterback starch and Greg. I can't I can't think of Anything worse to happen right now if you're a Patriots fan right now and and all you want is New Hope. Okay. This is a new hope the possibilities are endless blank canvas money draft picks Capital. Theoretically the Patriots could do a lot of different things some of which could be very exciting and interesting and I can't think of one thing that would just throw a wet blanket all over over all over that any more than bringing back Cam Newton. Yeah John, it's it's weird. I I started hearing the chatter on all the Sports Talk radio station a week and I'm like what the hell is going on? Like it's basically like Cam Newton's become it's similar to some of the debates that you hear in politics like where they just like Stoke fear in people to generate interest in their shows and things like that. It's like, ooh now Cam Newton's the boogeyman that like who they might be bringing Cam Newton back just to get people to react like people people need to settle down and this is why you suck. Had to be SJ this why you listen to this podcast because you know things like how last offseason when everybody was going nuts about Saddam was a guy in Cherry stem is going to be this and Jerry system is going to be that and he's going to be the next guy. You know, what did I tell you from January of last year over a year ago. I told you that he was not be the starter that there was going to be some sort of Veteran competition. So, you know, welcome to coming here where you where you get well informed you don't have to worry about the hysteria. You just get straight facts and and what's going on. So here's where we are. We Cam Newton and this is something that I've been talking about since the end of his Patriots season, which is it's always been a possibly that Cam Newton could come back here. It all depends on what happens with the market and who they end up with the quarterback and this and that but for anyone to suggest the Cam Newton month Is going to be re-signed being the definite number one. That's what we want starter here next year. That's not going to happen. It just it just isn't in and here's why. We've also sort of touched on this but just to sort of reinforce the point. I think what happened this past season is the Patriots realized and and look we've talked about it that there wasn't really a plan back to check understood that there weren't enough chairs for the quarterbacks and somebody was going to be left could have been Jameis Winston could have been Cam Newton could have been Andy Dalton could have been anybody. It happened to be Cam Newton and they said they'd make it work. It did not work and what I think John what happened was and actually I know this happened the Patriots realized after the Cam Newton experiment that not every quarterback can work in the system and that's not to say Cam Newton still not capable of playing good football. I think that he is do I think it could be better with a better Supporting Cast absolutely I do and do I think God Part of the problem last year. Yes, but at its basis in this scheme, you need a quarterback who sees the totality of what's going on in the field. You need someone who's going to win before the snap. You need somebody who's going to see something on the defense say that's this is about to be a bad play here. We're checking to this and Cam Newton outside of you know, he might he might have alerted a few plays here and there but not even close to what we've seen in and look I'm not going to compare him to Tom Brady. Nobody's going to be Tom Brady, but The Baseline Jimmy Garoppolo would have been a lot better. Jarrett Stidham probably would have been a lot better in terms of what he could even when Jarrett Stidham got in John. We saw things like Palm Coast him would change things that the line that's the Baseline in this offense. And that's where it starts. The number one tenant in this offense is don't run any bad place when the quarterback is incapable of doing that for whatever reason that's that's strike. Number one strike. Number two is understanding after the snap. What's going to happen? What is the defense going to do? What is that going to mean in in reaction time? Like if I see the if I see the free safety all of a sudden rotate from too deep to single single life safety. I should know like that who's going to be open, but great. Let me ask you real quick. Cuz everything you're saying makes perfect sense, but did you need a year of did the Patriots need a year of Cam Newton to know that he wasn't that guy? Is it did you think he was that guy walking through the door? Is there anybody really smart Personnel people out there who thought? Oh can't might be able to adapt to this Patriots dial offense. It didn't seem sensible fit. Anyway. This is a guy who's always had accuracy problems who who plays a totally different style of ball. I mean, I don't know why you would have brought him in the first place. If your idea was to offer a patriot style offense

The twenty-first limerick in the twenty one salute for the president joe biden. And i think we we do we do without a doubt have to do a a desert. there's no doubt we have to do. We have to do one of the ones. There was a young lady named hitchen who was scratching across in the kitchen. Her mother said rose. It's a crabs. I suppose she said yes in. The bug is rich in okay. So let's open the antique anglo. Ach so in the anglo and got this week we have some more foods We have the bird's-eye custody trifle So basically for all of our listeners. All around the world who did not travelers at the bottom. You have canned fruit. That has jello and jelly. And then there's a layer of English custard in the middle and then it's whipped cream on top and you have lashings of sherry. I remember many years ago. My mother will attest to this are is at school. And they were serving trifle and the gentleman who was serving it In gave me a dollop of this trifle. And i said i do. Hope this sherry in it sir. My mother always put sherry in the costed. Seventy one like sasa i one bird's-eye custard a trifle custard. And then i never remember this but capris did instant mashed potato now. I know that was an advert where there were basically robots doing the smash potato And they were making this robert sip-it like cement mashed potato and that was something that we ate in the as well instant mashed potato and then you had the delicious caramel banana flavored angel. Delight is basically for americans pudding and it's a powder mixed it with milk stirred it up. And then i think. Let it in the fridge for a little bit. And you have the most delicious pudding the caramel or or salted caramel whatever. It was and the banana flavor. Were out of this world. It was like heaven heaven in a little glass bowl and all the other children in the eighties. Were were eating that but the best of all legs gentlemen. Let me introduce you to via natta. We've creamy vanilla ice cream and let it melted a little bit because you don't want to completely frozen and it was absolutely delicious and some of the people on twitter would say in celebration also the vetter always sought the annetta. Look like cuttlefish vice versa. thursday night always shopping night. Vinet gone by eight o'clock It was supposed to lost to wake lived on these during three power cut. Three power cuts. We just left them outside the floor out. Veneta was only served in a sunday dinner. it was a classier ice cream any other night. It was the awful vanilla from the plastic tub and a mate with trying to impress a girl invited around for a meal border veneta for pudding but left it in his bag and it started to melt. He genuinely believed that if he stuck it in the freezer reconfigure and it did not Every time we went to my aunt betty's it was the pudding choice then at a hands down hands up everybody who spent ages trying to cut through the bottom layer frozen chocolate before realizing it was the brown plastic tray. "Things really on looking so great photo that has been right now. They are slipping down to the table. They're out of the top four. Yon i have to say. Is this turning into something more serious something of a crisis documents. It is absolutely a first of all. It was a great great football game. Six goals to haul on goals very predictable is also predictable. That's dalton at the moment defense. Leaving are terribly sad. To watch is like matsumoto's is a world champion. He can't defend he's going forward. He's doing well he can do is cry trick at the end. But you have to defend and you don't have a goalkeeper bilkees terrible at the moment i'm in the second goalkeeper must think what should i do to get a game heats in this again because that was unbelievable. Three three set-pieces. They conceded just sad to watch them. They fired father. Because i wanted to get closer to buy an i mean. Is there a lucky this week and it could be the eighth position and they say tests which we're going to stay for the season. Well let's see what's going to happen in dolt when there's a crisis on the funniest thing an interesting thing marker also the coach gladbach winning two today great coach. He is the favorite to take over. But i into summer so there have to do something without to moment is at a case of defenders optional defense optional today defending and really in key moments. They go down one. Nothing all right but early how who again was outstanding in that first half in the way that he took his goals the first goal is little dinky over the top finished good movement of the ball the second goal on a resource in terms of knowing where the goal is turns finishes that play and it's two one and his dorm his flying. They feel good about themselves. And now you give up a free gig. Tumbled eighteen yard box and as yang alluded to it. Well larson they'll takes a fricking that should be comparable for burke. Even if he sees the ball late it should become for at least for him to palm the ball away instead. He comes right into a very. Who's right there for a nice little tapping to refine. Okay no problem. Let's see if we can build some momentum going into the second half were never going to build momentum when you allow been so you need to do what he did from the left hand side over eleven he cuts to lane. I'm candy ones. That poor defending julian brian. Kanji now stands on the six year. Box hands in the bag. This okay and he never never concerns himself with actually close in the space down and actually challenge in been to a third goal and from then on england toco for two but overall you just send from brusett norman. Dad did defending is just so disorganized so straight. The games are exciting to watch when doorman place because there is a lot of space. And why is there a lot of space. Because they're this organiz all over the place some people go on and press the ball or the people drop off at times. That team gets gets gets straight and a time when they tried to defend. Never get behind the ball in enough numbers. There is no sense here. When you watch this team play defensively and you could say the same thing for him. Which and god by the way that you have a plan defensively. This is what we're going to do. This is our line of confrontation. We're gonna high present. We have an opportunity to do so. We're going to drop off behind the ball when when we have to do so. They're kind of running all over. And when you just run all over you get exposed and when you get exposed and you have no confidence that windows in have right now you lose
Washington DC's National Cathedral Hosts Virtual Presidential Inaugural Prayer Service
"Joined in a clear call today for reform at the National Prayer Service for President Biden and Vice President Harris NPR's Tom Johnson says the service was held virtually and featured more than two dozen speakers. A prayer service for an incoming president has been a tradition since the days of George Washington. The idea is to ask divine blessing for the new administration. But this year service was sharper than those of the past, with a more urgent message and speakers addressing with the Reverend William Barber in his sermon called five interlocking injustices, systemic racism, poverty, ecological devastation, denial of health care. War economy and the false, distorted marred narrative of religious nationalism. The speakers were chosen by the Biden Presidential Inaugural Committee and the clergy of the National Cathedral. "dalton" Discussed on Stuff You Missed in History Class
"He also lists out all the flowers him look blue to give the reader a sense of contacts when he says he says pinks and reds as blue blood he says appears to him as the color. Most people call bottle green and he mentions that if he saw a light colored stocking that was spattered with either fresh blood or dirt he would not be able to tell the difference visually. I i love this entire paper so much. It's exactly like this. Though through his his turn of phrase is quite quite charming and endearing he goes on to describe the significant change that read undergoes for him. When viewed in candlelight he describes it as much more vivid in the blue no longer being present and instead replaced by yellow tones while he found most reds and pinks quite drab by daylight in candlelight became really vivid and even exciting orange and yellow. He says are not too different for him than anyone else when he moves onto discussing here. It's quote. I take my standard idea from grass. This appears to be very little different from read. The face of a laurel leaf is a good match to a stick of sealing wax and so it will be immediately concluded that i see either red or green or both different from other people. The fact is i believe that they both appear different to me from what they do to others. He concludes that blues. He generally sees the same as other people and purple. It's just a little bit different from blue. He described brown in the same creative way that he does other color. Shredding my idea of brown. I obtained from a piece of white paper heated almost two ignition. He also seeing colors in moonlight presents the same or near same results for him. Seeing them in candlelight lightning gives the same effect as daylight. It doesn't matter whether the sun is rising or setting when it comes to color and any kind of combustible substance creates the same color perception as any other flame. He concludes the section of the paper with quote. My vision has always been as it is now. His next section breaks out the information that he's collected from other people and their perceptions of color starting with people he is found who vision that seems similar to his own and dolphin mentions mr harris of mary. Port and his alternate perceptions of color. Dalton thought that based on the description harris's anomalous vision might have been different from his own. He discovered that one of harris's brothers was still alive so he made contact went to visit upon questioning this brother and testing his vision dot and found that the harris family seemed to have the same genetic variable that he and his brother had when it came to how they perceive the colors of the world around them. This lead to a general line of questioning of the students and colleagues that dalton regularly came in contact with kind of as a subject group and he found a small proportion of them his specific experience regarding pink and light blue looking similar by daylight in different by candlelight dalton also found just a couple of examples of people who quote differ from the generality in from us also meaning that they seem to have a different type of color vision deficiency. He also mentioned a shared experience among all of these people that just as with him it had not occurred to them that they were seeing things differently from the majority of people but that they too found the names and groupings of colors perplexing at times though. His paper was really the beginning of sciences. Study of color vision deficiency even his really relatively small data set dalton was already capturing information that showed a difference in instances of color vision deficiency in regards to people's sex. He noted that in the harris family four of six sons in the family had what would come to be known as color vision deficiency sometimes also called dalton ism for obvious reasons but their sister didn't similarly dalton and his brother..

Biden, Trump warn of high stakes of Georgia Senate runoffs

What Is the Patriots' Plan at Tight End?
"Second question i had foil is regarded. These tight ends that they drafted in the third round as a fan of them. Going after two tight ends. Because i just. I was hoping that it was going to go back to the kind of offense like nam doesn't gronk were your and it. Obviously that isn't happening but it's almost it's almost like a redshirt of the two of them. This year. I think they have one. Catch combines the between the two of them was going into the season with them. So limited on getting offensive snaps. Was that planned or was it more based on their health or was it more based on that this belgian just wasn't seeing what he thought he was gonna see leading up to the draft. Stop yeah i well i think number one you earn and sort of what you see on the practice field. You know ossie was okay to start camp I would see either of them. Blue anybody away. And i know there have been some injury issues but i don't really think that's been much of a factor i mean you know you look at back in two thousand and ten when they had gronkowski and hernandez people kind of forget that hernandez was the one who hit i him he was he was a decent part of the offense from the gecko that year. We're gronk was really more a blocking tight. End do a little bit. By the end of the season he was catching touchdown passes and becoming more of a force and so guys have their own path. And it's all brian what they show how they get the offense how they execute stuff like that from people that i've talked to around the team. It just with devon. Aw siasi good for about two weeks and then tom for every nfl rookie. There comes a point in time when they realized the. Nfl is hard that these guys are good. That the coaches are tough that being a pro and having to wake up every day and do a day after day and sore body and all this stuff like it sets in like it's a profession and some guys look at it like You know. I'm not having a whole lot of fun anymore. This was like when you know when. I went to rutgers and i was playing on the baseball team. You know my second. I could come back from his hand surgery. I had but i really wasn't having that much fun anymore in kind of wanted to be more of a college kid so alice sort of left the game but these guys they realize it's it's a profession in some of them rise. Some of them love it some of them rise in say okay. I like this i can. I can meet the challenge and push through and some guy sort of shrink in from people i've talked to. That's been siasi. Here has not been a lot of mental toughness behind the scenes. I think you can see some of it in his play on the field in terms of just as body language when he's on the field donkey i think he has more of a chance. I think the consensus. And i know. Albert brewers working on something about ballot. Check in his drafting. And i think he's gonna talk about these titans because we've been chit chat and back and forth The past couple of days but about how like everybody says like dalton kimes overdrafted Qian's been almost like a big puppy where he's kind of all over the place and you think he wants to be there. I think he loves football. So i don't really worry about him. It's when he's going to get it. And i think once he gets it and he gets his role and they create more of like a crash jensen type of role for him. I think he's gonna flourish. And i think he's going to be a weapon for this team. Aussie i don't know what kind of future i don't know if he has any future here to tell you the truth and i think the patriots Fell into a trap. And i don't know if this was by design or just bella check being bell check. But what tom we're not idiots they certainly are idiots. We all knew the deal at receiver in tight end and so for belgium to come out of this draft trade out of the first round. Give up like a kenneth murray or whatever you wanted to do there and then take three defensive guys would your first three picks like when there were tight ends. Probably that you had rated higher there that you just passed on and all of a sudden you're scrambling it looked like to get off siasi and dalton keen like. That's problematic and to me. It illustrates sort of the personnel problems that they've had last four five
Cowboys beat Eagles 37-17, stay alive with Washington loss
"The cowboys kept themselves in contention for the NFC east title by whipping the eagles thirty seven seventeen Andy Dalton threw for three hundred seventy seven yards and three touchdowns two to Michael Gallup it was his first three hundred yard passing games since replacing the injured dak Prescott five weeks ago Gallup CD lamin Amari Cooper each had a catcher at least fifty yards all after the eagles built a seventeen three lead for the cowboys to win the division they need to beat the giants next Sunday and have Washington lose to Philadelphia I'm Dave Ferrie
Cowboys vs. Eagles score: Michael Gallup leads aerial assault against Philadelphia, keeps Dallas alive in NFC East
"Dallas cowboys ended the philadelphia eagles season on sunday afternoon at. At and t. stadium. That's right the eagles now with only four wins with only one game left even though the cowboys will need some help from them. The philadelphia eagles are officially done. And we'll have to look forward to two thousand and twenty one when their quarterback will be jalen hurts full-time or carson wentz. Who knows there's a lot to get into as it as it relates to this game again so many things happen. Let's start the first highlight to show you here. If you're watching on youtube sean. Jackson did indeed have an eighty one yard touchdown. Jalen hurts finds him about six minutes left in the first quarter. Just absolutely rose. We had absolutely chance. This is the type of thing that we've grown accustomed to seeing. Unfortunately from sean jackson he has gotten the better end of the cowboys for a long time over a decade. Schon jackson has been shown the cowboys now with multiple quarterbacks in multiple home stadiums schon jackson has had success. I'll give it to him that. At least this time. He remembered to score the touchdown and not fumbled the ball right in front of the goal line. Let's keep on. Let's get to some more happy. Highlights and michael gallup who was in contention for our star of the game. His first touchdown was a beauty as the second quarter. Began getting the cowboys. Back in the mix narrowing the margin. Fourteen to ten michael gallup like i said look at that elite camera work from fox. We'll talk about that in a second. Michael gallup quickly got to work. He had a big gain a little bit after a few minutes later. Look at this starting his own thirty five running down the sideline a bunch of eagles chasing him. Michael gallup doing all the work doing all the work doing all the work and then speaking of work you know the cowboys as we all know they like to feed ezekiel elliott. This was later on that possession the cowboys trailing fourteen. Ten and ezekiel elliott. There's no video of this so apologies. If you're watching on youtube you can see our freeze frame image. A looked like ezekiel elliott. Who had a really great game really looked like he scored on. This place is a bad angles from the tv copy but to me to my naked eye it looks like zeke. Elliott is over the line. I think that that's a touchdown. Zeke mike mccarthy did not challenge this. The cowboys wound up settling for fuel narrowing the margin fourteen to thirteen. They would ultimately start their climb back and they're ferocious. Climb back in fact. Let's get to that. Climb another michael gallup touched down here at the end of the first half andy dalton not even messing around just looking right for him and michael gallup again just a superstar a true wide receiver. One cowbys have three of them. Dalton schultz you can see very happy for his teammate. This was a phenomenal performance by michael gap

"A sack fumble. For a touchdown you look at the panther's game we had another sack fumble. That they ran all the way back and they scored another touchdown. All of that. Those are the things we have to get better at as an office. we can. We gotta keep the football. We're going to be able to execute. Get points what we can and if we do have a drive. That doesn't work out. We have a little punch at fifty yards down the field and make them start over instead of giving him the ball on the own. Five yard line let alone a touchdown for the opposite may be fired up because i have so much confidence in this football team. It's not a setback. It's the nfl wins and losses are extremely hard to come by in this league. We're playing good football team. That doesn't mean that i'm accepting it. I will never accept the loss competitive. Persecu- me i probably just got the taste out of my mouth yesterday. Three three or four days after our football game. Because i care so much. And i believe that's what our organization is about as well so we're gonna go into la on say at this point season brandon. But we don't have anything to lose. I i want next year. I don't hope that when i'm talking to you. I'm not telling you don't have anything to lose hope. I'm on the radio with you. And i'm saying we have everything to lose to win this game. I is sunday. There's nothing to lose. Let's go out and play ball. We know we can beat this football team. Because we've done it before and let's go out there and play ball and show people what we're about don reisner with us here on. Koa brand solemn for big. Alan judge. And i think broncos fans appreciate your passion dalton because they know it sincere. You grew up here. You know what it's like to to see when there's just one losing season let alone foreign row which is all justice him. He brought that up. That's all he's known and he knows that's unacceptable and the final thing. Is it really football. Ask you a question or two drew. Lock today Talked about being accountable and knowing he's to protect the ball and at every turn. We talked about this. When you. And i had smoked. I think maybe thanksgiving that he's not gonna ever throw anyone under the bus. But josie joel said you also have a bunch of guys trying to do too much maybe on defense because of all the injuries some of the guys that you mentioned earlier so i guess how much you appreciate. That drew lock. Even when things aren't all his fault. Everyone wants to blame him right or blame. John elway even though john elway is the reason. Fifteen starters have been out for various reasons but drew specifically when you hear them. Just jump on the sword time and time again is that fire you up. I up a lot man and that's why go to. That's why i go to war for that guy. That's why i got bruises. That's why i got torn ligaments. After games throughout sixteen weeks the season. And that's why. I keep going back for more every single sunday. 'cause i'll play my heart out for that kid. Drew every quarterback in this league. Look at the great. Quarterbacks novel came in the league their first second year and just towards the nfl. Everyone has growing pains. John elway mentioned it when he talks about. Your log does gonna be growing pains shoot going for me. I'm in my second year. just what brandon. When i make a mistake it's not aunt.

"It's gonna it's not gonna be about them on sunday in la. It's going to be about the denver broncos but we go go and do it their place well. And how much confidence do you guys have. Because of what you did to them did they. Had the comeback win. Will that overshadow the negative feelings here in broncos country and i'm sure you heard about you know sunday when you when you were sitting around all day after such a tough loss to the bills. So can you carry over more from the win weeks ago. Or you're thinking about that loss and getting that taste out of your mouth and and affecting you know. It's the nfl wins. You're going to have losses. I don't blame broncos country for expecting more. We're we're a spoiled football team. We had a super bowl win five years ago. And there's some teams. I've went fifty years without that. And i don't i don't let that thank me resentful. I love that. I love the expectations that we have here. In broncos country and being five nine is not the expectation so it's a loss. We know that we lost the bills. Played a really bad second. Half a football cleaned up some things in the first half as well against a playoff team as superbowl contenders so unfortunately we did have that loss. But that's out of our minds. We broke down that film. We're going to get better from that and we're going to go on to la we're gonna get a big win against division rival. We'd be la. Beat to beat the raiders. On the we have a chance to indices and seventy nine Winning games in a row going into next year Getting von miller bacterial. Casey courtland sutton and need. I say more probably ten ten ten more players. That are really good on this football team so we want to be a better football team. Man we're going to be a better football team. Unfortunately we're going through the growing pains. This season broncos guard dalton riser. Joining us like he does every week here on. Koa brain and crystal in for balin. Joe and you kind of have answered the question. I was going to ask next. I asked her this after the game on sunday. So ask you. Do you look at the bills game as a setback for the offense at all or is it like you kind of indicate losses happen. It was a bad day and as a wheel start to come off. They just came all the way up. Well i mean dude you gotta look at it brandon. You know if we wanna really talk football you know the scores twenty one. Thirteen bad football teams. Don't do it. We did in the first half. Don't do it. they just they. They plain and simple. Don't do that drove down. The field against ten. Three football team scored the touchdown. It's twenty one thirteen going into half and we didn't even play our best.

"Be in last place in the worst. In. The NFL der Laugh as far as I'm concerned Poor Julia Donaldson Jason. Tarnished because societas. Give Them A. Call him the cougars calling the warriors. Warriors a bad do something come up to not even have I may just show the lack of leadership the lack of. Higher. He'd. Always said, we might keep it that way mix you. Know. Who? A team that better be one hell of a name if we wait to. My God that's the greatest thing we've ever heard I don't know if we saying that much but look Washington's on the bottom. Dallas. Trying to take take the top spot. Andy. Dalton needs to play better. Elliott needs to play. On the bottom is not the bottom of their division biscuit. Worth the. League not good six, thousand, nine, hundred feet collectively in the NFC is six, nine, thousand, nine, hundred and one after six weeks I mean that's just horrible and none of those, Washington. Guys Ezekiel Elliott. A lot is riding on his shoulders also, he's not doing very well this season I mean he already has five fumbles or he has four fumbles already this season. More. For you coming into the season, he only had five career fumbles of the course of four seasons. So a lot needs to change for Dallas won't even worry about Washington because I don't really think we have much. No one's worried but it'd be great name. Better late than never the big ten kicking off, it's college football season tonight with number fourteen Wisconsin Hosting Illinois. Then on Saturday afternoon, the full schedule gets underway including number five Ohio state hosting Nebraska Number Eight Penn State at Indiana Number Eighteen Michigan at number twenty, one Minnesota on ABC also, the site of College Game Day. And with that, we welcome in our Espn College football analyst also, our good friend although we missed the MONTAGES even this morning Tim Tebow. How are you guys do? We don't need the montage? He's my friend. The world knows this by now there's no montage necessary you know and I want to say I. You being in a better locale last week you look like you were trapped some kind of closet or whatever. Now you look like you chilling in the living. Room. Some sunshine seeping in and stuff like that. So that's the temp t-ball I know only thing missing cleared San. We've got the. Button on button. He's still he's still looking like he. Had to do a little bit more work this weekend inside. So couldn't get outside as much. Stephen. Allison. Apologise maybe next week. Son Does just yeah that's justification I understand. All right tim well, the big ten is back starting this weekend. It's very funny that Nebraska was really the only team in the conference that wanted to have a season and now they get hit first off with Ohio State lucky them but let's talk about. World War it. Lasts. For exactly. So what do you think Tim what do you think capability of Ohio state in Justin fields is to not only make a deep playoff run but also make it to the title game. Oh I think they have a legit chance to get to the playoffs but win the national championship. This team is deep and they have a lot of better and leaders on this team urban recruited so well, and then when Ryan came in Ryan dates recruited well, and you have a leader like just fields who truly has a chip on his shoulder and every time around this young man I more and more impressed with them. It's not enough to just be good. It's not enough for MVP. He is a chip on his shoulder. He wants to prove something that last year losing a Clemson was a fluke that he is one of the best players. If not the best player in the country, I think there are led by coach that's a great coach and Justin feels and then they're surrounded by first and second round talent Steve. They truly have a chance. If they get momentum going into the year, they truly have a chance to win a championship. Listen they talk about you know some of these predict to say, no, no conference has a better chance of place in two teams in the semi finals or the playoffs. Then the big ten, what are your thoughts about that? Yeah I i. think it's hard. I think when you look at the big ten west, there's not a team that really pops out to say Wisconsin's highest ranked and and when you get to a championship game is another win against him going to be enough and I don't necessarily think so and so you look at Ohio state I think they're getting in but who is that second ranked team I think the best scenario for the big ten is severe Penn state because I just don't trust Michigan I don't even know if they're going to win this weekend against Minnesota and so I don't know who that number two team beef I do think that the big ten is. By far the second best conference in the country I think them in the SEC or or the two best conferences in the country. I think both of them will be competing, get a number two team in, but I have to see something from a number two team in at Penn. state is it in Michigan is it a Wisconsin? Someone's got to step up to say that they're going to be a lot better than they've been in the past if not I think you're looking at a Georgia or Florida or someone like that that's going to be competing for that fourth spot. Okay. Well, a lot of top twenty, five teams in action this week Tim, who should beyond upset alert I just mentioned him I. Think it's Michigan Yeah I think this Minnesota team is for real everything that we've seen about them. Even the off season everything that's happened is there a team that talks about loving one another they played really well. You know. They had a couple of losses at the end of last year, but they're recruiting they're competing with some of the. The Big Time Big Ten teams and recruiting getting more talent. Yes. They lost a few really good players but Michigan's got US show up tomorrow night. If not, Minnesota could truly put an L. under schedule starting week one. He let me listen. I'm not going to accuse you sounded like Paul Finebaum, but he was right on the money in my estimation because I don't know of anyone more critical of Jim Harbaugh than Paul Finebaum has over the last few years lash they were nine and forty year before that tended three the year before day and five certainly no appearances. In the playoffs, we get all of that and what was expected from Mr Jim Harbaugh. What are your feelings about them? We just start off talking about the big ten in saying they're on o'clock upset watch Minnesota might be at T. Excuse me is not an indictment against harbaugh to some degree and what's not happening at the University of Michigan Football Program. It could be taken that way. It could also be saying Minnesota's doing a great job. Pj does a really good coach is in is building a program not just team but it program though very different. I think our balls a good coach I want to give him credit. But what what I say he's an elite coach in college football. I cannot say that there is nothing that they have done to say that they're an elite program there are good program. They have a lot of history they have some good players, but they have not shown to be elite elite football games. They have not been able to compete against Ohio state. They have not been able to win the big time games and so they're good. I'll give him credit for being good elite. No not yet. Don't tell that to their fans they are deluded about. Their position I think in the Constellation, the college football world. Heisman watch him takes one to know one right. If. It's not trevor. Lawrence. This year who's GonNa be. I think mack. Jones has a real shot. No one wanted to talk about him. They always WanNa talk you're losing tool when the most accurate quarterbacks in college football history but Mack Jones has come in and he is fantastic and I love him because he has ice water in his veins in the moments not too big for him down at halftime against Georgia. It's OK guess what I'm to go for ninety yard touch start right off the bat like this kid I, think he throws the Best D. Fall in college. Football and one of the best eat balls in the last ten years and he he is. He is in a great athlete but he's a great competitor that has that is extremely accurate and has creeps outside, and if they're able to run the table and win the championship I think he'll have a legit chance at competing with.

"And we aren't gonNA waste any time we're talking about Dallas right now the two and four cowboys looking to reclaim their spot atop the NFC lease guys got that one when they take on the one in five Washington football team on. Sunday. The cowboys currently trailed the Eagles believed the division after last night to win over the giants. Max. What would a win mean for the cowboys? Well, first place first of all. Has Game Lee in the NFC East it actually it's look I'm a giants fan and I'd like to sever for Trevor Sever. Ties Daniel Jones who've actually is still showing promise I. Don't know without an offensive line and Saquon Barkley and with gentlemen trading away all the talent wideout. Ingraham dropping ball. Danny Jones might be good. But Trevor Lawrence looks like he'll be great and so it was a giant Fan I'm washing the game hoping to sever for Trevor. But what happens in a close game? Even when you think you're rooting for your team to lose, you can get a better draft pick you can't help. But especially, against divisional rival you root for your team you I can't don't treat what you root for it. And as pathetic as this NFC East is and as much as teams maybe should be jockeying at least not the team should be but the fans should be hoping that you're jockeying really for draft position. The fact of the matter is when you have a chance to take first place that's meaningful for the fans because who knows you into the playoffs and maybe you can win a game. And the cowboys have a chance to be up on the Eagles after this game. And it's a divisional game and Andy Dalton was a was like an average ish starter for a lot of his career and that it looked like he's A. Toward the bottom of the starting quarterbacks maybe of good backup but the fact is you thought he was good. And he had a miserable performance last week you want him to get on track. If you're a cowboys fan, you want them to show signs of something even if Washington's front seven could could pose problems. You would hope that Dallas would be able to formulate something where Andy Dalton. Even if he doesn't win the game at least doesn't cost you the game. Through an anemic offense, the leader of anemic all of an anemic offense that Ezekiel Elliott has more success even behind the poorest offensive line nowadays for the cowboys and they could do something resembling anything because if they do, they should beat this pathetic Washington deem and reclaimed first place in maybe the worst division of all time Stephen. A Win for the Dallas cowboys, this weekend would mean absolutely positively nothing other than a nub into win column I mean first of all plan against the team that doesn't even have a name. That a Washington football team put DC we don't know whether it's Washington or Washington state for crying they ain't even put a data even putting DC they're good at least they watch it in DC they didn't. Call the. DC. That's all. Couldn't even do that number one, number two, who's their quarterback? Is it the? It has Carl Allen is Alex Smith. We don't even know who the quarterback. So we don't know today we don't know the quarterback who's the wide receivers we don't care who is tight. We don't care. We know they lost five straight the washed it. I couldn't even I can't even say first of all you didn't want to say the name before now there's no need to say it's never happened. I don't know I don't recall it. Only takes. Threatening let let's let's put things in. It's proper perspective. Okay. Here's what we know and I'm not joking when I say this I'm being incredibly respectful. I want everybody to understand. Though Washington football team in the national. Football? League? Has. Made new. For four things this year and four things only. The hiring of Julia Donaldson you know. VP, media relations the brother that they hired to oversee operations on the business side after unloading Bruce Alan. Ron Rivera's battle. With cancer we wish him nothing but the best. Okay and the fact that the Wayne Haskins has got benched. On. If you want to add a fifth storyline which credibly good feel feel good story Alex Smith and it coming back after that nasty leg injury two years ago almost two years ago we are happy to see him on the field. It was a beautiful sight to see his kids, Jason Writers, the President Right you have. So Julie Donaldson Jay right row Rivera's health situation dwayne Haskins being benched and Alex Smith returning to the lineup would is beautiful wife and kids in the stands. That is what it NFL team in two thousand and twenty had made news for over. The there is nothing else there is nothing else relevant about the Watson tip-off Boil you. Give them a name. You colored. Boy, I'm just saying. Is it just me or does anyone see how bad is by the way what you say about them making news in fact that they don't have they don't have a name because they were scandalized eventually into dropping their despicable name which I told you Daniel Snyder do years ago and they were so unprepared for the moment. They didn't even have a name to replace it with good. One to the reason for all the new hires. Stephen. The Front Office is they were scandalized into that to. Buy a rotten font. Pond. But I'm not hating on it because I think Julia Donaldson is going to do a hell of a job. I think Jason going to do the job. Listen I, believe that's right. He was in very impressive. Do obviously you've got Ron Rivera, we know his history we respect Robert there and we wish him nothing but he's a really good man. Okay. But I'm saying that along with Alex Smith's return and the bitch of the Wade Haskins, we're six weeks. And that is all we have to talk. Me? This put Russia Washington football team by this is. Beating the anything to write home about. No, right. But the eagles took first place my doing time stint the whole cowboys could be, Hey, what's name? We didn't In the worst conference and then. At the The. History you are doing to the American public what you accused me of doing this was all misdirection you just want to go off on Washington. I I have some voice over stuff because that's continued. Yeah. Yeah. There's some really nice over projects in the meantime but. I wish I had something big and sparkly new to talk about the the business has been offically shut down for a few months. He has been very strange, very, very strange to say the least in America can only imagine has an actor not having. A stage to act on whether it's an film center anywhere else. I agree it's not. This is a this is a social art form. It's is may complete when it's presented in front of an audience. And so. It's it's it's very special that way. But when everything's shut down, it's also frustrating that way. Because you. See Yeah. There's there's only so many monologues I do to you know. To the Bathroom Mirror. Yeah. So what was your impression when you saw manage tomorrow for the first time? I thought it was so cool. It surprised me from from top to bottom I think that Her mass. So many. So many great things to say about this film. I think the first thing that? Impressed me was the this was a chapter of Superman life that I don't remember being very much explored. If at all in the third iteration I mean they they talk about this is kind of maybe chapter two and usually we kind of get into chapter three, four, five, six, twenty, but chapter to it's kind of an area where he we all know his origin story, we know that he's on these powers and then he is in this period of life where he's figuring it out. He's a new like. interns slash reporter at the Daley clan it I mean this is the first. Steps of adult. Life. What do we do with the these new Opportunities in these new powers that we have, and that's where I feel like we we pick up the story I think professor, super, super interesting because it seems like. A lot of the time we get superman whereas right he's already fully formed and proof and flying and knows how to say buddy and does his role in his position, and if we do get some of the origin story. We get a crash landed on earth taken in by parents and. Has these powers that he has secret and kind of almost told in flashback or something? Yeah. It was cool to see superman kind of stumbling his way a little bit and I thought that was remaining. Absolutely yeah, and also kind of like I WANNA say. PUNK rock version. Of Lois, lane in really that hit the more like Leslie has a lot more attitude in this. Then I remember and I like it I think it works really. Well, it's not just a few clever punch lines here and there I mean she's wearing leather jackets and she's like she's pretty bad at. And so I thought the really interesting take on on those lanes well and I've already had you know a kind of an actor crush on Alexandra Daddario and here she is just not just out of the park. Yeah. Yeah and and Chris Potter brought a real like. Sweetness insincerity to it. That is. I. Thought it was just perfect I thought was great. I thought was great and I thought in there that wasn't like. So in your face with all of the effects and the sounds and the into that I mean I felt like I could really invest in it and it had all of the the the best qualities of kind of I'm GonNa put this quote but old school animation that I love and I think that's just such a beautiful way of telling the story. They've maybe it's because I'm getting old older these days but I I, really do. Think that oftentimes simpler is better that is I think what I appreciate so much about this it was it. It was it allowed the story to tell itself. And it's still delivered on all of that stuff but it didn't feel the need to make like the special effects and the spectacle war important than the the human element of the story Oh. Yeah. You element very easy to this one. We want to thank you for at to talk to you and congratulate you on this role. I. Hope You do more DC animation. Well, I hope so too. They know my number. Special. "Biggest questions of what's going on right now. I can't be go scores and not do things that we have to be crush. Adult discretion is advised but seriously kids of all ages are welcome. Even you grown up. Kids come was the island on spotify or wherever you listen to today explained back ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ma so last thing because I really WANNA rank Andy Dalton's worth to the cowboys but I think I think every cowboys fan should hope that antidote does play under the right circumstances in twenty twenty. Obviously you don't want to see him play. You know because something happened to Dak Prescott but I think what you want if you're a cowboys. Fan is further cowboys to lock up the number one seed or to be blowing people out in for Andy to come in because Andy Dalton is on a one year deal. What what you really want is Antidote Dalton to show the rest of the NFL. Hey guess our I've still got it and then come two thousand twenty one. Have somebody say you know what Andy? Want you come be the quarterback for the Jaguars or whatever and then you know you get a two thousand twenty two compensatory pick for him so you know I also. I just remembered while we were talking that when the cowboys interviewed Mike McCarthy they interviewed Marvin Lewis and obviously it wasn't a hundred percent known that Andy Dong would be available back then Granted the Bengals did have the number one pick and everybody kind of knew they were taking Joe Borough but I wonder if if just say shit happened there. Okay what do you think about Andy Don because who would know him better than Marvin Lewis in? I'm I'm sure that there's people that talk. I mean these coaches talk. I mean it's A. It's a small fraternity network and I'm sure that a lot of that went into all this decision making when you know any goal to me seems like a really good. I love the instagram photos or video Kim throwing in the backyard the net. I'm like is that Photoshop. Because he threw like four or five and his his kids like giving them toss and Stony Brook. Look at this point I really. I didn't really follow some online anti-dole because when he was at Tcu yes When the cinncinnati-based you know in this part of the country will we follow the cowboys. But now I mean I I think it's a I think it's a great decision on to bring a man again at a bargain deal and under the circumstances in look. I'M NOT GONNA PUT. I'll I'll I'll use this. Hypothetically what did they tell Andy Gall look? We're going to give you a one year deal. You'RE GONNA get a chance to play 'cause we don't we may not sign all that Prescott so you're going to be the guy. Well I'm just saying hypothetically as you get two or three games on your Bell I look. I'm just I'm trying to you know just throwing stuff against the wall. We won't stuff up in the air and you know the the sky's the limit with this to saying that if you buy into that I can understand that whole situation with Andy Gull. Silt they can be a started in a national football. He goes out there and puts up. Preseason plays an appreciate play maybe two or three games in the regular. I don't know I'm just saying the best case scenario for Andy Dalton for Jerry and Stephen and we'll maclay to sell him. You're may be all at chance to quarterback game. Excuse me as a quarterback and you in ball then you show the world look. I still get skills. I think the I mean. There's clearly among backup quarterbacks. The Path has there's two paths. I think if you're a backup trying to get back to being a starter one is and this is harder to do you go to a team that seemingly has a very questionable starter in hope you know as bad as that sounds that that that player gets benched and the best example is Ryan Tannehill last year. You know kind of banged on the fact that Marcus Mariota wasn't that great you know was patient. Got His opportunity. Made the most of it then got his deal now. He's started for the Tennessee. Titans I think the other route the more common route is the one teddy bridgewater tip goby a backup on a very good a very high profile team that you know gets a lot of national publicity and you know. Get your name back out. There and Teddy Bridgewater was a big. He was one of the most popular players in the NFL last year. Just because of who the New Orleans saints are I mean. I'm not trying to anything from Teddy. The guy went five know when he started for drew. Brees but that boosts your you know your image and whatever you WANNA call it a lot. So if Andy Dalton does you know get a chance in mop up duty or whatever for the cowboys to do it for the cowboys. That's gotTa help and so it's something that we that what we do is put out. There is a scenario. And you know given the circumstances in your we're GONNA WE'RE GONNA take this This look different scenarios. The cowboys may take in advantage that they don't have which I'm for sure they'll one way or the other. Something's going to happen whether the franchise whether sign a long-term building we don't know yet. There's a lot of time but again I think when you look at the situation that they are now I think they were kinda forced not forced but well yeah to to be able to have some security in a backup quarterback and again three million dollars to play back quarterback. Chuck it's okay for Danny goal. Okay so I don't think it's a bad deal. Consider you know he. He got booted out of Cincinnati. Go Different Route. Three million dollars from the cowboys perspective. For the best possible insurance you could have is one hundred percents worth it. Okay so for the purposes of this exercise we're going to assume rightfully so that Andy Dalton. Qb To for the cowboys. So where does he rank for you? He he's the what most important player on the cowboys. I think to start it off. I don't think he's any more valuable than any of your eleven starters which obviously includes Dak Prescott on offense. Or you're eleven starters on defense. I don't think that your backup quarterback is more valuable unless you know you had. Tom Brady backing up. I mean there's that's ridiculous but I don't think that your backup quarterback is more valuable than any of your starters. Do you agree with that? I agree with that now with you. Okay so fifteenth and will will will have Joel. We're talking about right now. I think it's a I think it's a great situation to be in. I think yeah I think under the circumstances I mean I can't. He's not a starter. Backup quarterback and you know that's what we do. We value that. You know the the court of the southern when you don't have We we valued at more than if they actually had. That makes okay so so I to me. It's it hasn't changed my perspective. I think as we go on and time dismay change to one eight share onto one. I think it may be a different. The different circumstances and how they value his his His presence on the show then for now though. He's you know he's not in the top twenty. Two players on the team is twenty hundred or is is You know we still have yet to see who this team swing. Tackles going to be Is is you know Connor McGovern more valuable. I is or if conner's stars are your. Are Your backup. You know. Knicks Offensive Lineman more valuable than your backup quarterback. That's trying to figure out where Andy Dalton's worth is too. I think he's I think he's more valuable for the backups. I think is you mentioned? You have the Levin twenty two starters you have but when I look at the whole you know the the scheme of this team Knowledge you have a quarterback like that and look. It's a hypothetical question. Okay because a lot of things are you know. In the event that there there is a hold out. I mean I think it is an insurance policy for the cowboys. And so his body becomes more important But certainly with other positions on this team. I mean Joe Donna. I think that he is. You know that's a question. Mark at center position there. Because you lose a star like Travis Frederick. That's a question more of a concern so e right now in the value of the of what these what the I mean. I guess you can look as being valuable because the guys got you know. He's got a fill in the shoes of perennial all pro potential hall of Famer. And that's not easy to if we're let's assume JOE loonies starter. So then he's he's more valuable right and Andy Dalton because he's you're starting center hypothetically so like hypothetically on defense are would you say Randy Gregory and or Alden? Smith are more valuable to the two thousand twenty cowboys and Andy Dalton. Assuming that playing there's a lot of assumptions and hypothetical. I understand if you're active player Trindon is back last time. I checked the backup quarterback back this sits over on the sidelines. And you know this is a clip award is has The Europeans on night knows what plays are rancho he needs a non factor the people that are actually contributed whether it's rotational defensive. Line obviously yeah. There's more value. There are Jay without a doubt is Andy Dalton more valuable than Tony Pollard. Who like who between those two players who is more valuable this contribution what he can do as far as special teams on his values running back as far as a one two. Pots with Zeke Well without a doubt he's more valuable it because he's GonNa be. He's can contribute Andy Dalton as a stands right now Dak Prescott. The starting quarterback only value that he has if he gets hurt in. He can't play. And then all of a sudden. You know these everything changes practice. And that's a good chain. That's the interesting exercise from me. Like this is a weird way to put it. I guess but like if you I don't know if you had an amazing car right and you had car insurance but say you didn't have. I don't know I'll put it all. I'll reframe it. You know how like when you buy a new like an IPAD or computer. Whatever and I don't want to buy the insurance for yeah and it's always no. It's always know unless it's like something really really really really care and you're also going to happen. You're going to drop that. So let's call it. Your your computer your your. You can't live without this computer. It's the center of everything you do. And you have the extended warranty for that or you have your IPAD and you. You know your sign has. Ps four whatever and all those other things but those don't have extended warranties so then it becomes a manner of what's more important to you. What do you value more the extended warranty on on your your computer or your IPAD. You know what I mean because I think that that's the that's interesting conundrum for me is what do you what do you value more the the security knowing that you have security for your main thing or your other thing and that's all right. That's why I think Tony Pods an interesting example because to your point if everything goes well obviously Tony. Pires more valuable to the cowboys. Because he's going to contribute way more often than Andy Dalton but Andy Dalton does give you some mental piece that you have that so what do you. What do you value more value for me? I valued I mean. It's an awesome conversation to be Korea. So you know this. All these fans are like okay. Well we got any dulling that wants too much money. So we're we're we're good you know. Let's say it. It's just you know this spontaneous reaction to you know whatever they get caught up in a bid to sign a free agent like golf which they don't they forget about that. Prescott about how much you can contribute. And what he's done on his last four years so you know I value more of the you have. It's like debt man. You have to have a bench attack or death everywhere so you gotta you gotTa value. Dana's plus you quarterback for sure to me or to me wants to say okay. I really value a lot of Andy Dalton because of the situation that Prescott the unknown we all know. Hopefully it's GonNa get done But what happens if he holds out for two years or excuse me for two years for two games? Which I don't think is GonNa Happen but the point and one side's GonNa is going to bed and right now. I think the cowboys Sonnen someone like Andy. Dalton makes it a little easier for them. Not that they have leverage that they'd have security..

"There are a couple of places we think about where we think and don't could've win and possibly the starter and Dallas. Sure and the hell wouldn't have been one of them. Dan What do you think Greenie? I look at it like this. Let's say Andy Dalton hypothetically went to New England right. If that happened everybody would be going on television this morning and going. Wow The patriots with Andy Dalton. Maybe now they're the favorites. Maybe Bill Belichick can get this team back to Super Bowl with Andy Dalton and we would be looking at Andy Dalton in a positive light man five hundred years in the playoffs in when his defense plays well. He wins a bunch of football games in his last four years with company teams. He's played good football. Any Dalton could play he. This is not a normal backup quarterback signing backup quarterback. I know what normal backup quarterback? Signings look like they are. There's no question about it. There is a massive upgrade starter to backup. That's not the case here. Andy Dalton if any adult and had to go and play this season with the Dallas cowboys he would throw around four thousand yards and twenty six touchdowns and they would be sniffing nine or ten wins that offenses loaded and so we gotta to make sure we frame. Andy Dalton the right way because he's he's he's still a very capable quarterback within this offense and I'll go back to it. The cowboys no longer have to fear July fifteenth in this franchise tag or long-term extent deck. They cannot move Greenie. They don't have to move on number now. Everyone else already knows what Dan does. Not because he can't see the feedback from where he is sitting. Jalen rose as join the conversation and Jalen. We're going to talk about last day but the pain expressions on your face. Jalen make me dying to hear what it is. You want to contribute to this good morning to you. Intelligent handsome gentlemen. I have to make sure I pointed to my good friend. Dan The he forgot about so many years of playing quarterback in the NFL that actually the most important position on a team could be backup quarterback. Do I have to tell you that? Andy Dalton isn't a threat to deck. Now if you go say Cam knew that. Become a threat and not a threat. Let me just tell you what a lot of squads around the league did to improve their quarterback who Mr Orlovsky Saints added James. I don't know how James got one million dollar get up to seven but that's another subject for another day packers at Love Eagles at Jalen a couple in both rounds as a matter of fact Dallas Ads Dalton in my Detroit. Lions had a chance to add to a three chance. We had chaz green there. We do it so go ahead. All roads always lead backstage right. Jay this is not a threat to deck thing. I'm not saying that it is obvious to me that Andy Dalton is the backup quarterback in Dallas. But this isn't Jamison New Orleans because the cowboys don't have hall of Famer as their starter and making one more run the saints to also it's for a million dollars. The packers drafted a guy that they think is their future. The Eagles took a guy in the second round because it's justified because of the lack of health that they're started showing but what I'm saying is the cowboys don't have to fear deck going. Sit Out. I'm not going to sign the deal because then the cowboys are we got a guy that we feel confident in with the team that we have around us that we can go win. Football Games with the cowboys have gained the power back. That's the point Jalen. I gotta ask Marcus a question. Dick Swag who you and I both know left in the locker room and you look right in the locker room and then you look behind center. The players are going to feel a lot different. Andy Dalton Versus Dak Prescott emotionally and physically especially.

"A situation where the cowboys would go to dull and they're not going to resume this tag at this point. They want to get this done by all means. I understand why everybody seems frustrated by this for me. It's always been about the deadline. It's always been about midsummer getting to the point where they can get. This tied up by July fifteenth if they don't have a deadline to me. I don't think it gets done ultimately though I think that with that July Fifteenth Deadline Dak Prescott signs a long term deal on the final day. That guys who are franchise tag can do so again to be clear though the cowboys while very unlikely in theory could threaten to rescind the Franchise Tag. Which would leave that guy guy who's never made anywhere near the kind of money that it would pay in a position where he might be a strange spot with every other team. Basically having made their quarterback decisions. Yes Oh my I guess the point. I'm trying to get at here. Is less likelihood of it happening than its value in some sort of negotiation. No doubt about it and by the way like I said Andy Dalton coming to them at steal a bargain certainly the cowboys. WanNa make clear. This has nothing to do with Dak but again we can all see sort of what that means. Jerry Jones going into the season with Andy Dalton potentially as the starter is a lot different than going into with cooper rush. Who I'm guessing for a lot of people are saying who's Cooper. That's first time I've ever heard that name in my life. Yes and with the signing of Dalton. It's probably the last all right. Jack Thank you very much. Well done. We'll get more from you as we continue. Let me get my guys in here this morning. Danske and Marcus. Spears are ready to go and Dan. The second I saw this on Saturday night I called you because I was. I find this just a fascinating move. You read it well. It's a really smart move by the cowboys. It would have been smart move by any contending football team that sees. Hey We're playoff caliber football team and if our backup has to play one game and win one game. It's going to be worth whatever amount of money we choose to pay him but this is also a chess move. I mean you heard Jeff Darlington talk about midsummer.

"Andy Dalton State with the Cincinnati. Bengals has been decided. And it's the outcome that we all pretty much figured was going to happen with the veteran quarterback after the selection of Joe Borough. Hey everyone I'm Anthony Costanza with the orange black insider bengals podcast also one of the Cincy jungle staff members there. Thanks for tuning in. I know it's the middle of the day for many of you but some big news is hit. The wires and franchise altering news is at the wire earlier today on Thursday. Cincinnati bengals parted ways with veteran quarterback. Andy Dalton Dalton had been with the team since twenty eleven. He was the second round. Pick toward the top of that round in two thousand eleven after the Bengals came off a terrible twenty ten campaign in reeling from Carson Palmer forcing his way out of Cincinnati. The bengals hand was forced. They didn't jump at quarterback in the first round of that draft even though there were many Christian Ponder Jake Locker Cam. Newton was already out of reach but Blaine Gabbert. Among many others were options at the bengals could have grabbed on copper. Nick was an option the bengals could have grabbed instead what they did they grab. Aj Green and they got quarterback Andy Dalton in the second round. The rest is history. There's a complicated past with Andy Dalton and the Cincinnati Bengals in their fan base. It's hard to make of the feelings. I think that a lot of fans are feeling today with the departure. Vandy Dalton. Some of it I think is expected. It's been since the season ended and the meteoric rise of Joe Borough in the college ranks his insane season in the bengals grabbing of the number one overall pick even if the bengals didn't have the number one overall pick Miami had unseated them for that in the bengals still held a top five pick. One had to assume that it was either going to be Joe Borough Justin Herbert or to attack. Oh by LOA that would end up in Cincinnati and be the heir apparent depending on which player that they took in this year's class. Maybe Andy Dalton stuck around for another year and played and started and let one of those guys develop and or he'll up if it was one of the other two names mention or it would play out the way that it's played out on Thursday were Dalton is released and Joe Borough is now the unquestioned starter for the Cincinnati Bengals. What'S NEXT FOR ANDY? Dalton is to be determined. There are some landing spots. We'll talk about that in just a second. Some perceived fits and possible avenues Randy Dalton to start and maybe some sneaky ones that nobody really is talking about but Andy Dalton is no longer with the Cincinnati bengals has seventeen plus million dollar salaries off the books and the bengals. Now have over twenty million dollars cap space. That's not with the rookie class coming in here. Not Counting that quite yet. So maybe the move paves the way for the Bengals to make another free agency. Move a waiver. Wire move to add some more talent on the books we don't know but as of now that seventeen and a half million dollar figure or so is off of the Bengal salary cap hit for twenty twenty. What's ahead for Andy? Dalton remains to be seen as I've said there are a lot of conjectures as to where he may end up. Apparently there's reports that he forced the told the Bengals to release me at As of Thursday. How substantiated that is. I don't know but it would seem that. He wants to find a place to go sooner rather than later land on his feet sooner rather than later and potentially get into a playbook system as soon as possible so he has the best opportunity to potentially grab a starting opportunity elsewhere. There are not many of those out right now and the quarterback free agent class is currently pretty deep cam. Newton's out there Joe flacco out there. Andy Dalton's out there Jameis. Winston just got a deal with the saints a backup quarterback on a very very low salaried incentive laden deal to be the backup in New Orleans. Ironically Carolina grabbed New Orleans is backup in Teddy Bridgewater to be their Guy Kyle. Alan is still there Jacksonville. Lights Gardner minhsiu Jay Gruden is there. Apparently that's reportedly the biggest hotspot for the antidote. Potentially land makes sense where he would go there. And if you would get a starting spot who knows you would think that there would be probably the best chance there. New England did not select a quarterback in this year's draft. They seem to be fine as of this moment as we sit here Thursday afternoon with jared and Brian Hoyer the bengals undoubtedly tried to deal Andy Dalton in the days and weeks leading up to the drafting into draft weekend but their hand was overplayed. They didn't really have much. Leverage in trade negotiations probably would not net much. If anything this year maybe something next year but felt the value was not there and orw potentially need to take on some of that salary cap space or salary of Andy Dalton before unloading him to another team in the in. The bengals did not want to do that so I think Andy Dalton Politely said let me let me go and try and find a place for that that I can get you as soon as possible and one that I get to pick my situation as opposed to maybe being forced in a trade so Dalton is now a free agent here are a couple of possible destinations k. We talked about Jacksonville. They have Garner men's shoe there. Jay Gruden is the offensive coordinator there so potentially that's a fit. You've got a one. Would maybe think I mean Dallas could be a spot. There's some talking heads. Apparently I have a friend in the in the Texas the state of Texas kind of in the Dallas area and some of the talking heads on radio. We're talking about Andy Dalton. Being a choice for the for the cowboys interesting is. Chicago still an option. Even though they grabbed nick foles and his gigantic salary from Jacksonville this off season bill lasers air laser worked with Dalton. Maybe I mentioned New England. New England still has question marks quarterback which is something you haven't been able to say since before drew bledsoe was there so that's a possibility I guess. What about a team like Pittsburgh? I threw this out on on twitter. What about team Pittsburgh? That'S NOT CLICK. Bait. I'm not trying to create. Click Bait by saying that but Ben Rothlisberger in sixteen. Previous seasons has played a full sixteen game season four times in sixteen years. He's the starting quarterback there is no doubt but he's coming off of a significant injury. He gets injured pretty often in the regular season. Pittsburgh's not they publicly are backing Mason. Rudolph but he was benched when he was relieving Rothlisburger last year. Maybe don doesn't go in there as the starter day wine but he is pressed into some action and winds potential opportunities to win Important Games for the steelers in relief of Rothlisburger or if he if Rothlisberger has a setback in. He can't start the season. Maybe Dalton is an avenue for them. There was talk. I had another friend in the Houston area talk about Houston potentially being interested in Andy Dalton around draft time who knows maybe Carolina just to get more insurance. If Teddy Bridgewater falters and door. They didn't the new regime doesn't like Kyle Alan Buffalo Oakland. These could be possibilities. The issue is is going to one of these places and being dead set starter. Really only one or two of those provide that opportunity some would be as emergency starter or in a major scrum to get playing time and it's an unfortunate reality. Andy Dalton has to face and and a lot of veteran quarterbacks have to face in the NFL that have had a lot of ups and some downs in their career. Joe FLACCO currently facing that. That guy won a super bowl. He can't find a job Cam. Newton went to a super bowl. Mvp number one overall pick can't find a job there. There's I said Oakland I'm sorry force of habit. Maas Vegas my apologies there. There are a number of avenues that that Dalton could see care but I think unfortunately you're going to he. He may not get the pick of the litter choice here that he's he's wanting just because of the deep free agency. Classic quarterback and a lack of opportunities there if you noticed in the draft. There was a long long. Wait beyond the first round quarterbacks for for some of these guys eason from long waits. Some people were talking. Those guys would be second round. Picks maybe third round picks and wait till middle of day middle late of day three to get off the board because many teams have now solidified their quarterback position whether it's the draft for free agency in a number of different ways unfortunately for the bengals unfortunately for Andy Dalton the way that this offseason fell at the quarterback position. The bengals didn't have a lot of leverage in terms of trade. Here we thought he would. We thought they would but maybe not. There's a lot of people saying he'll be icy John Seager in the live facebook chat. He'll be working by Monday. We receive some texts on our orange black insider. Text Line saying he's probably going to be employed by next week and Blah Blah Blah. Yeah probably could be. He could find a good situation and that's great for him. That's great for him and I I wish him the best but it could be. It could be the team's pounds quick because now they can. They have a lesser salary cap number to work with and set and contract work with. He can kind of pick his own destination and teams. Maybe didn't want to give up the draft capital this year to the Bengals so now that they don't have to get that give that up. Maybe more teams will be calling for Andy Dalton services if they weren't calling already for them one silver lining in terms of a capital gain. If you want to call that caught that for the Cincinnati bengals is in the innate potential compensatory pick. The bengals didn't have any of those this year. It's possible that the fanny don't go somewhere is productive. You know maybe they get something out of that Who knows that? Formula Truly works out He was a cut guy. So that may not come to fruition for them but who knows what we do know is a job row is the guy in Cincinnati and what we do know is that Andy Dalton is now a current current free agent in will potentially land with another team. Probably Pretty soon. It just depends on if he's going to be a starter.

"Fdic some really smart conversation there on Dak Prescott with will Cain McCain and I actually agreed on a bunch of things so at the very least that is reason enough to go. Check out the PODCAST. We'll Kane on the same page. I'm taking your take and you guys want to. Chime in on Andy Dalton. So we're going to blow up the rest of the show and let you do that. Where's Andy Dalton? Going to end up and why triple eight say. Espn eight seven nine. Three seven seven six chance in Arizona. What are you got? What's your take on Andy Dong Eh just wanted to say I'm a big fan of the show first off Thanks I believe he's GonNa go to Carolina because they I mean will greer at his stint last year and he was just not very good. So I think with bridgewater being the The starter have a veteran presence behind him because he has been kinda injury prone so I think that's a good fit for them now. I don't disagree with anything on that date. Look there's a lot of good fits. Brandy Andy Dalton. The question is where can you learn a little bit like? We've all talked about Jameis Winston but most importantly to me for Andy Dalton Working Rehab his his entire image at this point David Arizona. What's your Andy Dalton? Take Hey Jason how you doing today. Man I WANNA say originally. I'm from Cincinnati Ohio Big Fan of the bank. Of course being from there First thing I wanted to ask forget that nonsense about Andy Go. The steelers and speaking for all bengals fans like previous caller had said before about him gone steelers. We will be all but heard that ever happened. So I don't even want to hear that. Talk about that In regards to anti leaving Cincinnati. I'm not sure he's going to go exactly. But I do WANNA say man. That guy is a stolid consistent player. Not only been car solid consistent player for the city. He's been a great representative. He started foundation a number of charitable organizations and wherever he's going go they're going to get a classy dude and we'll we'll be a great loss for the city of Cincinnati and a great representative city where he wherever he went up. Well you know. That's all a glowing part of Andy Dalton right and thanks for your take on it and unfortunately for you guys I feel like the steelers make a lot of sense so this might be one of those moments that the Bengals fan base doesn't have a lot of choice on bill in Georgia. What do you got your your. Take on Andy. Hey Jason just WANNA say Big Fan appreciate you taking five but I feel like the DOT would be agreed set for the Cleveland. Browns think There's too much town team not to have a solid back In case Baker Mayfield. Another Mike did last season. The browns are an interesting take on it. I hadn't thought of it. Thanks for your take on it. Just because you're right I mean I keep saying I think the browns have more talent than we give them credit for. So you know. I'm not sure though. The quarterback position and Baker Mayfield should at least in theory be more locked up than it is for Pittsburgh so I still think I like going to the steelers. There's a backup better than going to the browns back of Alex in Texas. What do you got? What's your take on Andy? Jason All these guys. The spillers Brown's the dolphins. This doesn't make sense man. I'm here in Dallas Fort Worth. I'm in Grapevine. Texas the best situation for the cowboys would be the bringing Abbey. He's not you've got. He's a local guy. You'll get a lot of shining a lot of love and you need to push Dak Prescott to the table. You need to let him know that the bachelor that's here now who we would therefore it in it's going to be upgraded and now you need to come to the table with the deal. We want you to have your Andy Dalton. You're in area again where you came from. Tc You you know you're GonNa get love and you might a real opportunity of that. I I hold out and people won't be pushing back on you like in these other markets. Everybody's bringing up so that's press out of your table by any coming into the fold and upgrade. Its backup position. I see a win win there for both parties involved other than that. Prescott as a third party. His worst he made out of his own offense. Look I love the fire on that take? I'll say this. I never thought about the hold on his opportunity. And if we do believe there's GonNa be a hold out. It's a good opportunity for Andy Dalton to get out and show what he can do with as I said earlier a roster I think is super bowl caliber so you got a lot of weapons on the offensive side of the ball for or Cam Newton. We'll see this again cam. Newton's a better quarterback than Andy Dalton. We all know that and I understand that Andy Dalton might not be a world beater too many people. But let's acknowledge the good of Andy Dalton when you're talking about five playoff appearances for the Cincinnati Bengals. Keep in mind. Philip rivers only took the chargers to the playoffs six times. Andy Dalton took the Bengals to the playoffs. Five I'm not saying Andy. Dalton is a world beater. But when you take the Bengals to five playoff appearances and you make three pro bowls. You're not the trash quarterback that everyone's making him sound like he is right now. Let's accept the fact that some quarterbacks in the middle of the pack might not be great they might not be Patrick Mahomes. They might not be Aaron Rodgers. But they're still good enough to win you games. That's Andy Dalton. Don't let the bengals portion of Andy Dalton. Jj on who? He is as quarterback. More coming up what what's next for. Andy Dalton will cain. They'll be talking about it. Thanks for listening to I. Take Your take. I'm Jason Fitz..

"I'm willing to listen to you in the meantime. He's not the only quarterback in the news as the chatter continues around Aaron Rodgers. Brett Farr talked about Aaron Rodgers when he went on the rich. Eisen show on Sirius. Xm and made it clear that he doesn't believe Rogers is going to be finishing his career in Green Bay. I think you'll see that trend more and more and I think you're and finished somewhere else. That's my gut. I guarantee you this and I. I don't know for certain but I guarantee you. It's got the wheels turning and errands mind. Which if that's the case. Then that means the. There's a chip on his shoulder for the organization that otherwise was not there. I love all of that. By the way guarantee. Can't say for certain but I guarantee you and yeah. There's a chip. There's a chip on his shoulder. The question is what's it mean moving forward and at this point given the statements by Brett Farve. No one would know better what it's like to have this happens. Steven A. Ryan Clark. Imacs talked about farve weighing in on Aaron Rodgers. I don't think sticking up for farther your is going against Rogers I think far as through experience better insight into this situation is more interesting to hear from than anyone else in the world who understand this better and I think he's also right. I don't think Aaron Rodgers is going to finish his career and a Green Bay uniform just as far didn't hey one hundred percent Ed Hale Brett. Farr is the person you call for this. They should have been Reagan. His phone wind degree. Bay Packer Jordan. Look it didn't matter what they did for the rest of the draft. This is it. This is the story. It was the same story. When Aaron Rodgers failed to the Green Bay packers after Alex Smith when number one overall to the San Francisco Forty niners? And you don't have to ask dude about a situation because he did it right. It's almost better to ask him because he did it wrong. Or because it was perceived as wrong. I want to hear that you that you were upset. I want to hear that it caused confusion between you and the GM between you and the head coach and fear he's GonNa figure his career somewhere else. It also seems like they've had some conversation so Brett Farve is the perfect guy and I don't care if you don't bring up what he did in the past because it really does it matter now. What matters is you were in this position? You have an in helmet and first hand perspective of how you felt during this time how you handle it you also know the dude very well who is going through it now. So who else would you ask? I mean the reason that we get former players to be analyst reason. Analysts is because y'all WanNa hear what it was like in the Locker Room. You want to hear what it was like on the field. What are these experiences? And how do these experiences affect now? Who Do they make you? How did you deal with them? Brett farve could tell us about that more than anybody and did he stink when he was going through it absolutely was the little overrated when he left absolutely which Aaron Rodgers probably will be too but he can give us a perspective on this that we can't get anywhere else issue. It's just always good to have hall of Famers Talk Any Dang Ryan Clark. I'm GONNA forgive you because you were an elite football player. Who as far as I'm concerned pets turned into an elite? Nfl commentator. I don't ever recall the word journalists being on your resume that would be me Sir so let me inform you about something. We did talking talking talking about reform. Let's let's let's understand. Let's understand that and I'm aiming this to at you as well. Max I never said. Don't talk to Brett Farve. Let's let's let's address the question that was presented problem with. Fav Win in Yes. I'm not saying that I don't want to hear what Brett Farve has to say. I'm saying that while you're asking Brett Farve to weigh in on this particular situation. Let's remind the world. He's he's the perfect. That's what I'm saying. What I'm saying. You aren't clock is. Let's not just ask him questions about or Aaron Ross and the Green Bay packers because he was in that position any place for that same team. Let's also make sure we bring the relevancy to the equation because literally the reason why this story is because we're all monitoring how is Aaron Rodgers going to act because the Green Bay packers drafted its successor when Nebraska has got to three years left in this career? You didn't get him any help. You drafted him in two thousand five. You have never drafted another off. That's a play a running back and tight end and wide receiver in the first round since two thousand five when you're drafted and Rogers Soy. He how is he going to react all of it? Well Brett fog with no because just as what? Brett fog did that's what I'm saying. Agreed Banks steps off with and this is what he did when he was in that position. It's important to take being radio. Espn news I'm Jason Fitz. They're fired up about all things. Aaron Rodgers we're fired up here about all things. Andy Dalton. I might be the only show that can say that in the history of radio. So we're GONNA go with triple eight eight eight eight seven nine. Three seven seven six. What's your your take on. Andy Dalton. Where's it going to end up in? Why Patrick in California? What's your take on Dalton? Yeah I think Tennessee might be a good landing spot for him. But I mean in general the fact that Cam Newton is on the free market. Also I think helps Andy. Because there's a number of teams out there. They want upgraded the quarterback position but might not want to spend Cam Newton kind of money. And I think we're all agreed that Cam Newton's better quarterback than any don't so you can get Andy Dalton for less money and I think that is an advantage damn and getting signed by somebody. I'll take your take on that. I think this is the one pushback is I. Don't think it's going to be looking at anything. I disagreed with Mike. Golic senior this morning by the way I'm hanging out on Golic and Wingo again tomorrow morning so be sure to check it out but I disagreed with my golick this morning I think is GonNa take a backup opportunity. I don't know that Andy Dalton other than New England would have much chance for anything other than backup opportunity at least short-term came. I don't think he's touching the backup situation so I wonder if the two are kind of living in different lanes right now. Jonathan Colorado. What are you got? What's your take on it? Hey Man I'm a huge dolphins fan so I'm super happy that we got to but since he's hurt I feel like that would be a perfect spot for all the land. He'll be there for a year and get a free agency stock And then he'll you have a really big opportunity to go anywhere you want after that. Look I I love that. Frankly Jonathan on top of my the dolphins. I'll look it up. But we all know. Obviously that Ryan Fitzpatrick is there. And they're comfortable with Ryan Fitzpatrick but let's not get twisted. Andy Dalton is a significant upgrade over Ryan Fitzpatrick. I don't think that's a hot. Take any Dalton's a significant upgrade in my mind over Jarrett Stidham and we all know that. That's where the Patriots seemed to be in at this point. They seem to be locked into jeered stabbed him but in a world where we just saw James Winston. Take a million dollars to get to a situation. He likes we've no idea with Andy. Dalton IS GONNA WANT. But if he wants to go somewhere where you can have a starting opportunity holding down the Fort for Miami while to gets healthy. If he's not completely healthy is not the worst situation for him. I think he can look at that as a good spot for him to land. We'll keep taking your take on her. Triple eight say. Espn eight eight eight seven nine. Three seven seven six. Andy Dalton hit the open market. I'm fired up about it again. I'll say this loud. I'm not saying that. Andy Dalton is an epic quarterback. I'm saying that. He's a pretty good quarterback and being a pretty good quarterback is better than many teams have. So well understand. He's likely to find himself in a backup situation. I don't think it's out of the question to look at some of these quarterbacks around the League in Question. Y If you're Jacksonville you're not bringing in somebody like Andy Dalton to compete with Gardner means you out of gate. Are you really willing to give everything over to Gartner Mint you? I mean you're not even gonNA look at Andy Dalton if I'm the Broncos and I've spent all of this capital in the draft on getting great weapons around drew lock. Is it not worth at least exploring who? Andy Dalton is a quarterback to me it is. I want your take on triple eight say. Espn you can also tweet me at Jason Fitz coming up if the NBA returns to finish their season. Which team benefits the most for the lengthy hiatus? You'll hear I thought next I take your take on. Espn RADIO AND ESPN news. I take your take on. Espn radio the ESPN APP. Siriusxm channel eighty and ESPN news. I'm Jason Fitz. If you missed the first hour today show I got fired up. I'm still fired up. I can't I'm saying this things. I never thought I'd say on radio fired up about Andy you can go..

"End up and why I can guarantee you one thing I can guarantee you one thing over the course of the last ten hours. Nobody has been more fired up about Andy Dalton than I was to start the show. Good Lord okay fired up about it I want your take on. What's going to happen next for Andy Dalton Jesse in Cincinnati Jesse chime in Andy? Dalton what's your take. Oh Yeah so. I think he'd be a good New England just for the system that they like to run But you can't expect too much out. Andy Dalton let's everything's perfect around him ever since you know we lost Jones's to new and I it hasn't been the same and the defense is fell off and obviously the franchise doesn't help them signing any three agents. I go anywhere with. Let me let me stick with me. Don't go away but let me counter that argument. You just mentioned the offensive line's bad. There's no weapons to tide them. Fell off so what quarterbacks outside of the top. Let's say six quarterbacks in the NFL quarterback do you think could come in and suddenly elevate what Andy Dalton was playing with and make them a playoff team? So you bring in cam new. I mean there's somebody in create on their own. What is down there Carolina well and look. I wouldn't be opposed to the bengals bringing in somebody like Cam Newton fine but my bigger point to this is everything that's been laid out right then and thanks for your take on everything you just laid out about. The bengals is part of the reason that most quarterbacks couldn't win in Cincinnati There are a handful of quarterbacks that can overcome whatever's around them and win no matter the system and no matter the weapons. There are a handful. Guess what if your litmus test for your quarterbacks ability ranks amongst the Patrick mahomes in Aaron Rodgers. You are probably losing that battle constantly. Most teams don't have that at quarterback in fact most teams are hopeful to get Ryan Tannehill. Somebody that can go and get the job done but still has to be in the right situation. The right elements be around them and when that happens suddenly Tannahill goes from being a bust in Miami to being some huge success in getting paid in Tennessee. Why because the system was better for him because he got healthy and because he had the right pieces around him. Most quarterbacks need help and a quarterback needing help doesn't mean that they stink. It just means that they're not one of the best five in the league. That's okay don't forget tune into the last dance behind the scenes. Look at the nineties bowls dynasty the series continues this Sunday nine pm Eastern on. Espn can't wait for this. When we'RE GONNA get a look behind the curtain of Horace Grant always curious about how that went down..

"Straighttalk DOT com. So the question is who is Andy? Dalton at this point and at this point is a better solution for any team including the Patriots. Then I don't know one Cam Newton Ryan Clark joined Maxim Stephen Age. They're talking about Andy Dalton and where he fits in the spectrum of quarterbacks available on the open market there is nobody that has ever watched football that has seen Cam Newton healthy and thought that Andy Dalton was a better quarterback Cam Newton. We can point to system all we want the Patriot way. Jarrett's them and what have you. And the fact that he was there for a year under their belt and all that stuff Ryan Clock. You brought this up on. Get up this morning You know the few minutes that I had an opportunity to watch it. When you highlighted how Jarret stidham comes in and he throws a pick six to Jamal Adams of the New York jets and then immediately got yanked out of there by Bill Belichick but Josh. Mcdaniels confident to them. They think he's improve well. None of those are game situations because we haven't seen them throw the ball but about four times on a professional level of so i. I'm not sold on stem yet. Obviously if you WanNa go to route of Dalton it would be because he fits more into the Patriot way. But here's my thing. How do we know really? There's a Patriot. Way when it comes to their offense when you look at. Tom Brady and how elite we gotta make a decision as to whether or not he was great. Oil was he. Not because of Tom Brady was great. Maybe maybe this success was a product of his greatness on the offensive side of the ball along with its chemistry. Whether it be Charlie Charlie Weis once upon a time bill. O'brien once upon a time Josh. Mcdaniels for the last decade or so the bottom line is there's been a multitude of people that Tom Brady has worked with on the offensive side of the ball. And he's been and he's been obviously elite. I think if you're looking at it from that perspective who has the chance of being leaked? I say it would be Cam Newton over Andy Dalton. And Jared my choices Cam Newton as well because I believe if you bring ending dotes in in at this time in his career. He might not necessarily be that much of an upgrade over. Jarrett Stidham and Brian. Hoyer who you already have your quarterback room but if you ring in Cam Newton you bring in something different you bring in a guy who can create own his own and that's what you need it on this team last year. You didn't have the wide receivers who couldn't create separation initially in their routes. What Will Cam Newton give them an opportunity to do? Get into second play situation where they can get into scrammed boudreau separate from other defenders and also now this edge to your run game when you have a guy like James White when you have a guy like Sony Michelle you add them with Cam Newton. Now you can get into some zone. Read type schemes. Because you don't necessarily have the talent on the outside. No if you think Jarrett Stidham is your guy and that's who you WANNA go with. I believe you could stand there. But if you're going to go out on the free agent market and get you a quarterback that guy has to be Cam Newton. You have to add something dynamic to this offense you have to have someone with the confidence to carry you and also remember. The next guy is replacing. The greatest quarterback of all time and Tom Brady that will be immense pressure pressure. That Cam Newton his head to live up to his whole entire career. He's the guy for this job. I believe that he can handle the coaching. Also think he has something to prove. And when you mix that with what the Patriots do already which is going to be played. Great Defense be coached extremely well and be extremely disciplined. It only helps Cam Newton and have Cam Newton would only is that I do think is deficient island players. And so if you could do those things combined those that makes sense to me. I think that Cam Newton is going to make a lot of people. Sorry that they didn't sign him up sooner. Cam Newton when last seen was as good or better than he'd ever been. He was once as I said selected by acclamation. He was the number one player in football. So I do think that there's left as long as the injury is not a recurring issue. There's going to be plenty there still. Relatively young people talk about the beating. He's taken. That's true but that'll shorten the shelf life to thirty five thirty six. Probably not some forty. Which is how quarterback split until quarterbacks played thirty eight forty nowadays to like thirty one. Thirty two okay. Fine write you make a good point if you're going to go out looking anyway. How do we know Dalton's even an upgrade overstep? We don't maybe they're happy with stuff. Look at either one but when you look at what can and can't do he's not GonNa get you. Big Chunk plays off of play action right like that was the issue in Cincinnati but that's not really the Patriots but what he can do is make quick reads. Get the ball out quick. On Intermediate passes that is the Patriots so unless bellichik really goes completely new way with the way. He wants to run his office which is amazing. Kind of chameleon. Act that toward the end of his career. Belgium's coaching career. Unless he does that. Adult and much more fits the type that the Patriots seem to prefer. I take your take on ESPN news. I'm Jason Fitz. I don't understand what is going wrong with the entire world when we look at. Andy Dalton. I mean I understand Andy. Dalton is not a spectacular quarterback. I understand he's not a world beater but we're looking at New England and we're giving Bill Belichick all of the credit for everything that's ever happened. That's good. They're suddenly with the benefit of the doubt he gets. And then we're turning around and conversely blaming Andy Dalton for everything that's gone wrong in Cincinnati. Let me remind you he leaves. The bengals is the all time leader in passing touchdown. Second in passing yards most fourth quarter comebacks and game. Winning drives three proble knots. Three pro bowl nod for a bengals quarterback any doug him out of the dumpster. Five playoff appearances. That's all from field. Yates five playoff appearances in three pro bowl runs for a quarterback in Cincinnati. Is something worth writing home about? I understand that Andy. Dalton's not spectacular but for Ryan Clark to imply that Brian Hoyer Jarret stidham would be a better quarterback room than Andy Dalton. That makes no sense. Jarret Stidham is a fourth round quarterback if anybody if anybody so that level of production coming from Jarrett Stidham he never makes it to the fourth round. Because you don't let a three time pro bowl quarterback dipped to the fourth round. That's insane Brian. Hoyer couldn't beat out Andy Dalton on the open market for a starting job it. Brian Hoyer was your quarterback room with jared Steinem on any team not named New England. We would surely believe that. Andy Dalton was a better quarterback option. I'm not saying that. We have to turn around and acknowledge the Andy Dalton Dalton his greatness in a bottle but to suddenly turn around and act like he's a liability versus unknown or known quarterbacks. That aren't any good is absolutely insulting. To what Andy Dalton has accomplished. It's okay to say that he's not great but let's not make him trash. I take your take on ESPN radio. I'm Jason Fitz fired up about that. Presented by progressive is home insurance. Get your quote Ed. Progressive Dot Com. Today you guys can chime in. Where do you think Andy Dalton is going to end up triple eight say? Espn eight nine. Three seven seven six. Let's get a little insight on this from Cincinnati Moa my buddy from ESPN fifteen thirty joins me. Mo. You just heard me going off about it. Who is Andy Dalton in your mind to most? Nfl Franchises as a quarterback right now. I love the impassioned Defensive Andy Dalton where where you've been for the past nine years I know I'm watching. Go ahead I was GONNA say I. I think it's I think that's the interesting part of this. We've we've known I've said a couple of times today. We've known this was coming for about a year. I mean if you if you kind of watch. The way off season played out before last season. You know Andy went into the second. The last year of his contract when the subject was brought up of a contract extension the owner of the team. Mike Brown said he has to reestablish himself which okay I get that I don't disagree but if he's got to reestablish himself you gotta give them a chance and the bengals didn't make their team any better last off season then they lose their left tackle then they lose. Aj Green. I think at that point we kind of knew how last season was gonNA play out and then we knew what the fallout was going to be. Which was the Bengals? Go in a different direction at quarterback At the beginning of this off season I think you could also see how this was going to end because we were on the verge of this unprecedented amount of quarterback activity involving guys who are either better than Andy. Dalton have more upside than Andy Dalton are cheaper than Andy Dalton or that you could acquire without having to trade for Andy Dalton so the emotional emotionally jarring part of this. You know this this would have been. I think a little bit different. Had this been sudden. We've we've kind of seen this coming for a while. So what's the next best opera? Andy you know. A lot of people have talked about New England and I I certainly get. Why Andy as a safe pick At the same time for me the Patriots have always been a team. Were they wager on talent? They wager on upside. They're willing to set aside any red flags you know. This is the team that will take a chance on Antonio Brown. It'll take a chance on Josh Gordon team. That will bring somebody heck. We've we've seen it with guys here in Cincinnati that you're like okay. How was Corey Dillon? Or Chad Johnson going to affect that locker room and it turns out that you know in some cases like Corey Dillon. It works out great. Some cases like Chad Johnson. It doesn't screw up their locker room but it really doesn't work out all that well with Andy. You know what you're getting. You're not getting that much. And frankly they really have an address their biggest issue in New England which is guys to throw to so if he goes to New England. We kind of know what that looks like right. He's going to be fine. He's not gonNA be Great. Their talents not great. His talents not great. So there's a part of me that wonders doesn't just make more sense to Kinda gamble with the unknown because maybe with the unknown. There's a little bit more upside but if it's not New England you know. Does he get a shot in Jacksonville? I've sort of thrown out there that it might make sense. If I'm a Pittsburgh steeler fan. What better way to stick it to the Bengals then Dalton backs up. Ben Rothlisberger are we. Are we betting on him? Playing Sixteen Games is Dalton. A better option to back him up and Rudolph or duck. Hodges or anybody else they have. I tend to think that Andy's going to surface somewhere as a backup. But the New England thing until you figure out exactly what their quarterback plan is. I guess has to be something that we all consider and talk about. We're talking to Mo Egger..
