'Dancing With the Stars': '80s Night

"Dancing with the stars. So it was eighties night, which meant a great deal of bad hair a great deal. Male and female bad hair bad here all the way around bad here for the host bad here for everybody. And costumes of exceptional cheesiness. And for Justina Machado, having to give herself a shower onstage. Stay true to flashdance you suffer for your art girl you go. And dancing that was. Generally not great but. Colorful. Shiny colorful. and. Harry. Yes Fair so much. So what did you think anything stand out to you. I quite liked Nieves quickstep it got dissed by the judges and I. Agree I thought that was good I liked. Watching Nellie tonight I did too. I pretty much enjoyed them all along. I. Think he's looked like he's throwing himself into it gratifying way but tonight was particularly good. Yeah I. It's not that I haven't liked him in the past I just thought that he he did a good job tonight. Yes. So he was fine. I don't know I did Kaitlyn. Doing the Tango. I didn't that didn't seem like a Tango Song Me Song. I. Think Law now with their like revenge of the nerds costs on. That didn't make any sense to me like no. The three, you know the combination of dance style music and production design was yes. Wacky and then yes, I had the same issue with this as I did with the Disney night. Songs, which is when they're all king played by Rachel live. Stay sound weird. Songs you've been hearing for. Forty years. Yeah that is that is distressing. I did like justinas downs and just because I'm predisposed to earn about what? And I liked AJ? Well it was hard to overlook the preponderance of bad hair. And I don't know how well his dancing necessarily was, but that's such. A Nice be wall song and Shirl was just had that big dress was just swooping all around. So beautifully, I really enjoyed watching that. Yeah. Yeah. Like a particularly good. You know wedding dance maybe look they practiced huge. So I would just you know done without all the hair extensions but okay. by I thought that was a really pretty down. So I give them some parts. For that Nice, and also just because Aj seems to be having a really good time and throwing himself into the. Spirit of the Mirror Ball. So I appreciate that I will give points for that. Yeah. Although I do I feel like most everybody is except for Jesse who said goodbye tonight? I think I may not. That was a merciful elimination though I shall be sorry to not see much Sharon in her pink hair. Yes but Yeah, he seemed like. that he is maybe than thinking better of this. This little plan. Yeah. Someone. Had for him right exactly. So, yeah. I don't think he's GONNA be bad. I hope not but Yeah. It was. It's an interesting group because there's nobody that really stands out as being pretty exceptional I mean. Johnny. Is Probably the best dancer, but he's not this kind of dancer and so yeah if you give them a contemporary teen that's right up his alley. Does well, but he's not going to do well at the ballroom. It doesn't seem right. So and there's some people who have a little bit certainly I'm sure the cheerleading coach has a movement experience need was talking about his experience. But there's nobody there's no ringers I. Don't think. Yeah. They all have a certain degree of uncertainty and counting. With, panicked is there dancing. So you know in various degrees of their pro yelling at them right? Well they're moving. Right. So it's it's kind of refreshing, but also makes it less exciting to watch. But. Holy Cow, the fake audiences excited. And they get mad when Do. Booing of the judges we know it's you know it's not humans stop at. Stop, that's reliant. Stop ferries to knock applause just I keep I keep getting into it and then realizing wait a minute. This is out of the CAN. But somebody's having a good time. There's somebody in the control room who is just having a ball. And I salute that person right? They are burning their paycheck. Hoots this is this is one we need the boost this favorite people clapping along yes. Yikes. They have something that's on the be where they can do that. Same Yeah. Well, I was complaining about this to my husband and he says, Oh yeah, they're doing that with baseball too. So I guess fake cheering yes. I was actually I noticed that the other day we were watching a game. Is, is that fake stand noise that they're doing? So, apparently, we are not to be trusted to. On our own without the sounds of other humans it would just be to ghostly. K.. Twenty twenty so. Heck Yeah. Stream. screamingly weird and you know we can continue to just. BE ANNOYED AT TIRA wasting time spending like half a minute talking to Nellie about arcades like s if anyone's GonNa talk let it be the celebrity themselves or let him read the judges like don't rush them right right through their critique only. So you can reminisce about arcades like yes. Yes. Don't rush into the critique in also A. Used to be on this show that there was time for the eliminated couple to say goodbye there was even a time where I believe they got a little last dance or like a little montage or something. Yeah. Yeah yes. If you could take all of the inane questions, you might have enough time for a proper sendoff or at least smile wave. Yeah, I guess they feel that they're outsourcing the send off to GM, and so it doesn't they don't need to do it here but they need to do it here because I'm GonNa Watch that right and it's just such a bum's rush every week. At least leave probably don't have to get on an airplane and fly to New York to Jimmy this year I'm hoping they letting them do it virtually. No may be so. Yeah everything is. Not, yet somehow I have not yet adjusted my thinking to realize that everything is that way, right? So. Yeah. That's probably right. Well. I don't know a theme nights like this are not my favorite. Especially when they just The. Speaking of the dials they turn up the cheesiness dial two, twelve year I just would rather have pretty costumes and hair and. You know dances that just exists to be a pretty dance

Facing backlash, Netflix defends ‘Cuties’ as ‘social commentary’ against sexualizing young girls

"Defended that movie cuties right. It has been a lot of backlash over the sexualized portrayal of Children in that drama, but what they're saying now, according to Netflix, They're saying it's a social commentary against the sexualization of young Children, According to a Netflix spokesperson. It's an award winning film in a powerful story about the pressure young girls face on social media and from society more generally growing up, and we'd encourage anyone who cares about these important issues to West the movie, so a lot of people had issues with it, but hadn't even seen it yet. Every time I would post about girlfriends this weekend, it would be people in my mission saying, Oh, you still watching Netflix? We need to cancel Netflix because it is show called cuties. I'm like you want to cancel the whole God damn subscription service Because one of the one show don't focus on getting the ones I don't focus on getting the one show canceled. Get rid of the whole screaming service. He want to get rid of all of the content like Central Park, 5 13 girlfriends. All of these things you can actually learn from that depict the black experience in a great way. You want to get rid of the whole screaming service because you're against one show gallery did contributed for the New Yorker, Richie Brody wrote of the movie that Netflix did itself a disservice with the misleading marketing And that's why this campaign is against it. And he said the subject of cuties isn't working. It's Children, especially poor and nonwhite Children were deprived of the resource is the education. The emotional support the open family discussion to put sexualized media and pop culture into perspective? And, he says, the story is a girl's outrage at and defiance of a patriarchal order. So you start to it sometime. Yeah, My daughter loved those kind of shows. She loves dance, Mom and you know my daughter competitive. She's a competitive cheerleading, So she watches all of that kind of stuff.

'Cuties' Calls Out The Hypersexualization Of Young Girls - And Gets Criticized

"Film cuties premieres on Netflix later this week. It's being praised for its critique of the hyper sexual ization of young girls and the consequences of that. As they grow up in the age of social media. It would've awarded the Sundance Film Festival, but it's also being criticized for the very thing it examines. Rebecca Rossman has this report from Paris. Several years ago. My moon a Duke of a was that a neighborhood gathering when her jaw dropped a group of young girls in revealing outfits came out on a stage and performed a choreographed routine. Google says they couldn't have been more than 11 years old. They were dancing very, essentially very sexually, and I was very disturbed about what I was seeing. But instead of passing judgment, the self taught writer and filmmaker says she wanted to understand what she was seeing. She dove into research interviewing more than 100, adolescent girls over the course of a year and a half. It's a period very specific where you are not anymore. So tell your child and you are not an adult You are looking for yourself in everything is changing very fast. Duke away combined. Her findings with elements of her own upbringing in her first feature length film Cuties is about what it means to be an adolescent girl in the age of Tic Tac and instagram, where likes have become the currency of self esteem. And keeping kids away from anything on the Internet is near impossible. Someone in their new film is told from the perspective of 11 year old Amy, who like Duke Away, is the daughter of Muslim Senegalese immigrants growing up in North East Paris. Amy is unimpressed by the traditional path for women laid out by the matriarchs in her family, the divorce, they fasted. They got up to develop a sauce. I looked as her strict grand and tries to groom her to become a wife and mother. Amy watches her own. Mom struggled to hide tears when she gets a call from her husband in Senegal. As is tradition for many men there, he's taken a second wife. To escape the drama Playing out at home, Amy befriends a group of popular girls at school who have formed a dance troupe called Lame Unknown or the Cuties. Amy spends hours nailing down choreography, too provocative music videos so she could impress her new friends. Filmmaker. My Mona Ducal says social media adds a layer of complexity to what it means to be an adolescent in 2020. Today, you have that exposition off your body on social media, and you also have thiss big competition. Off finding likes and follow us, and that is for me a new kind of finding love. The film provokes many questions, but doesn't provide many answers. And that's the intention, says film critic Jennifer Progeny. Who says it's also important that cuties was made by a woman who comes from the same background and culture as her characters is really important to have more coming of age movies in France in Genoa, and not we've only white cast because I think cotton to represent Children off every backgrounds because Even if we leave the same way we don't have the same control stuff, And it's really important to see the specific age between childhood and teenage moods. And I hope my Munna open the door for other movies like this. That door almost didn't open even though Cuties has received widespread acclaim in France and Wanna Sundance Award Ah publicity Gaff from its U. S distributor, Netflix almost cost the movie its reputation. After Netflix published a marketing poster showing the cuties twerking and revealing cheerleading outfits without any context. An online petition calling for the cancellation of the US release received more than 140,000 signatures. Do. Callie was accused on social media of being a pedophile and even received death threats. She says she hopes those who signed the petition will watch the film, and after that, they will see that we have the same fights and we all together. About that issue off hype, six realization off our Children and protect our Children. In the end my moon a Duke says her film is about a choice, a choice that who we want to become. Who we want to really become in as a child. Take the time to be assigned. And keep that innocence to grow up in our society for NPR news. I'm Rebecca Rossman in Paris.

I'm excited to share any sort of valuable knowledge for your audience. Will we have a lot in common but I don't even know maybe you do maybe you don't how do we connect I mean other than instagram you know I don't know. I know we follow a lot of the same people but I was just looking back and in Twenty Sixteen I actually purchased your Virtual Business Academy. Back, when we first started our business, we actually started in twenty thirteen but that was when we're really looking for like virtual online, how to like higher personal assistance and virtual assistance, and so I initially took that course and then I think from there I know we know a lot of the same people I was in the mastermind with Lewis House and a Lotta people in common in California there. So I. Yeah I love I. Just love following you on Instagram I mean that's where I really like become a fan and loved the content post and not that this is an episode about instagram but I'm always telling people if you really WanNa make your mark. Just be known for one thing for a little while, and then he can branch off and do all the things like you do such a great job of I. Just know if I'm going to see your content that it's GonNa make me feel good. It's going to help me understand my body and I just think you do such a great job of that in fact. I. Love You even talk about hair and the mental side of nutrition and the you share so much of your story. So for those people who haven't been following, you aren't familiar with your story. Tell us a little bit about your own history with Diet and exercise. Yes. So previously I mean I struggled with an eating a body image disorder for years of my life I. Can Remember even in high school struggling with it being on the cheerleading squad and just feeling the pressure of being in front of people and being that you need Graham number three that I am such a perfectionist and people pleaser I felt really out of control and a lot of areas of my life like family life and so I think I took that out on. Wanting to control my diet and wanting to control my exercise, and so really you know under eating over exercising was the name of the game for a long time of my life, and then going into college still not really knowing anything when it comes to nutrition and training, and so just doing what I saw in magazines, which was endless amounts of cardio restricting my caloric intake. and. Then from there, I met my husband after I graduated college. He really was the first person to number one as a boyfriend at the time kind of ask me honestly, if I had an eating disorder and that was the first time that someone really had bluntly asked me especially someone that you know I was dating at the time. Can I ask how do you remember your first thought when he asked that question where you defensive? Yes. Very defensive and very like why do you care this is not something that you need to know about type of pushing it off but then something inside of me was like, okay, he's actually asking from A. Place of love and it was like inside I wanted everything in me to be better because I was so like just feeling. So consumed by at all but yes, I remember having mixed feelings like this is crazy that you're asking me bluntly on our first date but this is also like total divine thing and so I felt safe in that time in you know he was one of the first people that I actually said Yeah I really struggling I don't know what to do when it comes to nutrition. I feel. So out of control in my body and I feel like I'm constantly trying to control and it's just not working in my favor and I was just exhausted mentally physically my hair would was not growing my you know my skin was constantly breaking out and I felt bloated all the time and it was just like there is things in my body that were not working properly and so I'm so grateful that he did ask that because that's what he studied in college he studied health and exercise science and sports nutrition and so. He was very, very interested in helping people in terms of nutrition and he really taught me I mean everything that I know when it comes to nutrition he taught me so much in training I was so scared of weights and only doing cardio endless amounts of cardio and restricting my caloric intake so low. So he really got me into like, okay we gotta you know that you need to start. Eating protein because on our first date I had a salad and I'm like pushing aside the carrots and chicken and he's like there is a severe problem with. So

Why The Tax Collectors Cinthya Carmona Defied Religion to Pursue Acting and Find Herself

"Did you always know that you want attacked? I. Was always a performer. I was always an artist. I. I had this thing when I was a kid or I was a little bit of a spy. I would just watch people. I would just really watch people and I've always been really fascinated with human behavior and I would like go home and like write down. Things that I saw my parents they used to argue a lot growing up and things were kind of crazy and I would just sit there and listen to everything that they would say, and then I go on my own and I would like reenact their arguments. I was always very strange in that sense, but I'd eat know that acting was thing that I could do I grew up in a super religious I never said in an interview before but my family and I grew up as Jehovah's Witnesses I always say very religious I'm telling you. So You understand my ends Jehovah's Witness. So I am well-versed and so growing up being. An artist wasn't acceptable in this religion. It's like that's not what you do. I'm not saying that it was forbidden, but it's just like that's not the path you're supposed to take right and and so I didn't really have that outlet I played a lot by myself and I would create these plays with my friends and like I said, you know just little spy. And my my real first. Outlet as an artist. Was Dancing. So I was always very physical, I've always been a very musical person and so growing up, I just found performing in dancing and you know also something that wasn't allowed for me to do I didn't go to dance classes I didn't have that I just had a lot of natural talent and just practicing a lot by myself at home and watching all kinds of you know vhs, videos I'd watch some like dance videos that my mom had from the eighties. and. Again, I would want to be like them I was you just imitate them. So I started as a dancer and in school I just got into every dance team cheerleading squad anything possible that I you know my parents didn't really have to take pardon and after a while they got used to. Okay. This is something that she's doing. Let's let her get too excited I went on. In high school to be captain of a dance team where the teacher owned one of the top down schools in Miami Miami Lakes at the time and she gave me a scholarship as long as I I worked for her where I got just free training training for like four years while I worked part time as a teenager in her studio and growing up I was really lucky because. I, have a mother, Dina? Who happened to be a talent agent and a manager for Dylan Villa talent in Miami and since I was born, she always used to say Cynthia is going to be an actress and my parents would laugh at her like you're crazy. That's not going to happen and as a kid I started showing these tendencies. He's like performance tendencies and she would tell people like she's going to act. That's. Her thing. She would try to send me out on auditions. I'll never forget later she told me this when I was like nineteen that she would call the house and say like, Hey, we want to get Cynthia into this commercial. We would love to see her for this other and my parents would say, don't ever call here. Again, we were not gonNA. Tell her and just hang up the phone. At a fear it wasn't until later on in life I was like sixteen or seventeen that she sneaked me away to go to acting workshop was my first acting workshop and I had no idea what I was doing I just went in there and I had to do this monologue about this young girl who was looking at herself in the mirror for the first time. Like really talking to herself and seeing herself is what I mean for the first time like looking at her insecurities into seeing just really having that moment with herself and I did it and I connected to it on a different level that impacted me so much more than dancing ever had dancing was a beautiful way to express myself but acting really accessed my soul and that's when I kinda hit the bug I connected to something emotionally on a deeper level that I said, this is what I need in my life.

The DNC and RNC are going virtual. What can we expect?

"So actually the coronavirus pandemic everything has gone virtual. We covered all digital conferences like Tho- launches, apples, WDC. In DNC are completely different animals Taco bell expecting to see well I. Think it's GonNa be a very, highly produced. Event just like it normally is but it's GonNa be really different because you know when they. When they usually do this, you've got like thousands of people in a huge arena you know you have people talking. And they're they're mostly talking to the to the people, the viewers and the audience. Sitting at home on their couches. Anyway. But you have that vibe you have that you know the people cheering it's it's like being in a live sporting event in a sense you know so like that's going to be lost a bit. Yeah. We've we've had instances with like the the NBA right they put up digital boards with with people that are virtually in I've watched the most games. It's definitely not. It doesn't really replicate the feeling of being at a game where the ambiance there I imagine a lot of the energy that would have been in those conferences have people been there. Is really kind of sucked away, right? Yeah and you know and that's really political conventions are basically like cheerleading events right? You know it's like the party faithful as there you've got these delegates from all around the country they're like really Gung Ho for their party and their candidate and they wanna like. You know just cheer their heads off and it's you know. So you know I think that energy is going to be a bit different but I'm also curious to see like what creative things they come up with right like like you mentioned the NBA thing like like are they going to do something like that? You know I mean? It'll be interesting to see how they approach it. Yeah. Have you got any kind of indication on on what they might do to create that excitement that is would be missing from having all those folks there. Yeah. So the the DNC they they have been, they've definitely said that they are going to try to involve people like regular everyday people. So I'm wondering if it is going to be something NBA like right where they have screens. Right there. But we'll definitely be having some like. Some people getting beamed in from all across the US whether it's you know. Politicians or or just SORTA your regular everyday folks who are like either live on video and a lot of like these pre produced videos people have been they've had this campaign where people are able to. Send in their videos like with prompts like I know Joe and talk about like why they're excited about Joe Biden and that kind of thing. So they're going to have that SORTA interspersed throughout the program. So it'll be interesting to see like how it all Kinda comes together. To DNC specifically, what what is that? GonNa look like will anyone actually be in Milwaukee? So there will probably be like a skeleton kind of crew in Milwaukee like I've heard that that Tom Perez, who's the chairman of the DNC was still planning to go to Milwaukee to gavel in the convention officially. But the big speakers you know like Joe Biden, who's the presumptive nominee he is not going to be there he's going to be somewhere in Delaware. Now, they've said he's not probably going to do it from his basement. So some place else in Delaware. In the Wilmington area where he lives. So that'll be interesting. I wonder how they they might dress up whatever venue he's in. You know like he was speaking with. Kamala Harris. You know the other day they've had actually a couple of speaking engagements and they've got the flags everywhere but like the backdrop didn't really look all that interesting to me. So it'll it'll I wonder how they're going to you know jazz it up so that it looks cool. How's the Brokaw can work? Yeah. So the roll call and by the way like I got to go to the convention in two, Thousand Sixteen, the roll call is pretty cool. Just in general when you're there in the room, there's like this vibe all the people stand up and they say, you know I'm from South Carolina and they were the whatever state and we pledge our ex delegates to. And so it's like an exciting moment. So it's going to be totally different this time 'cause they're all not going to be in the room but I you know they've said they're. GonNa. Kind of pop around all all the states and so you're probably going to have people from those states. Doing their call and I'm sure they're gonNA do something jazzy about like. You know I'm from Delaware. So it's like Delaware the first state in the nation. Allah. Probably say something like that I don't know. So it'll. We'll see. We'll see what about the NC I know there was a lot of back and forth about where was gonna be in whether it was go digital What is that GonNa was so that you know I think that's still to be determined right? Like they're still they haven't put out a whole lot of information about like what it's GonNa look like exactly. So I mean I want I wonder if some of this might change in the next week but. So far they are. Going to have a very reduced crowd in Charlotte. President trump will not be there to accept the nomination. In they're gonNa have like something like you know three hundred or so delegates there. So you know I don't know I don't know if they're going to try to do some things kind of like in in the arena although I think that would look pretty. bleak. If it's people, you know space really far apart. So I think that's still Kinda to be determined with what they're going to be doing it wear for folks who are watching these where can you check out the streams? So the DNC they've announced a whole bunch of places like you're gonna be able to stream, it live on youtube and facebook and twitter and And then the convention is officially you know airing from nine to eleven every night and all the broadcast channels will have it for the last hour. And and then they're gonNA have it on like TV and Roku and so they were going to be a lot of opportunities for people to stream it or. Even, to SORTA catch it on the networks got looking at some of the other challenges I mean we talked a little bit about the lack of energy. But what are the potential pitfalls who going virtual? Yeah. Well I mean we've all been watching. You know some of these cable news shows lately right like in sometimes you get like the guests who are like pixellated or their screen freezes. You know so I think that's going to be a challenge. You know you don't want somebody to be mid-sentence and all of a sudden they're face completely frees up. So that'll be a challenge. Yasser. Don't want it to look like a really boring call. With. With everybody with the bookcase in the background. So I think they'll have to figure out ways to to make it look interesting and you know. And not have any sort of technical glitches.

Pants on Fire: Cheerleading

"Welcome to pants on. Fire that game show where kids choose between the cheerful and spirited truth and the bad sportsmanship of lies. I'm your host Deborah Gold. Cnn in the studio today is our sound effects about Lisa which stands for live in-studio audience too but not too but that is the question. Pardon me I poured in the lady. Thank you but what is it that you are doing? I'm practicing my lines. I have an audition tomorrow for the robot. Regional Theater production of Hamlet. How that's exciting to thrilling. Indeed but to be honest I am nervous. Oh I really want to be in this play and I've been setting all the lines for weeks. I think you're going to be great and remember this above all to thine own self be true. What is that some sort of fortune cookies saying? No it's a line from no forget it. Why don't you take your mind off your audition and tell us how our game works Shaw Melody? Every ways we bring onto grownups. One is an expert the other ally and it's the job of a human to help us figure out who is too because no one gets about Aligarh better than a kid. I mean we hope right. Otherwise Radha business. What are we lying about today Deborah? We are lying about cheerleading. An activity of organized cheering chanting dancing and sometimes competing with stumps Lisa. Do you know anything about cheerleading. I'm sure had mentioned my great uncle. The electronic scoreboard was installed at a basketball court. I used to go to games and watch him keep score the cheerleaders. Were pretty good but nothing is as exciting as watching your uncle. Flip those numbers. That's real spirit. I I can appreciate that but I think you're going to really feel the spirit when we learn more about cheerleading. Now whatever okay. I say we should find out about our contestants shall we? Who might that be? I know tell us are human child contestant as an eight year old who loves everything about baseball. I'm Talkin every billy leave of it lily are you. I'm good welcome to pass on. We're so happy that you're here. You love everything about baseball. You like watching it or playing it. That's cool duva favorite baseball team. Yes the New York mets. The New York mets and dealer favorite player on the team Noah syndergaard. Mister met. Yeah I was stuffy of him only and I went to high school together. I don't know about that and tells. I hear that there is a forbidden word in your house and it starts with the letter Z. And it is perhaps a vegetable and getting close to something you don't care for Sabre Broccoli might be Zucchini. This is something you do not like correct blab not in any which way not even Zucchini ice cream. Ill Zucchini no. It's kind of fun. So can all right. We'll we want to know some more fun facts about you lilly. But we're GONNA do it the way we do it on pants on fire playing two truths and a lie. Okay so you're gonNA tell us three facts about yourself. Two of those facts will be true. One will be ally and we have to figure out which one is the lie. Are you ready? Yeah Excellent. What are your three facts on so first one is my dreams go to West Point West Point? I know absolutely everything about Harry Potter. Threes my grandparents live in Spain Spain. No not space stain. That'd be fun. Okay what do you think Lisa? Which one of those things is a lie? She said earlier that she knew everything about baseball. Now trying to come back and say she knows everything about Harry Potter. That's like a lot of that. One is the law. That's fair. I think there's one things she doesn't know about. Maybe so lily. Which one of those things is a lie Is My grandparents live Spain? So you're saying you know everything about Harry Potter. Yes okay. Let's see. Do you know what Harry Potter does? Yeah he's a wizard. She does everything she does. Okay Lisa can we get some welcome music? For OUR CHEER EXPERTS. Two four six eight khurda appreciate. I want to hear about it if it's me otherwise I don't talk about it. I just appreciate me. Our first expert is Allison Williams. Allison introduce yourself to Palo Lily. I am a CO owner of an All Star cheerleading program in Brooklyn New York. Pay Thank you very much and our second expert is Gerry mccrae Jerry. Please introduce yourself to lily. Lilly how are you? I'm Cheri and competitive cheer choreographer at Various High Schools in New York and Connecticut and they used to cheerleader twenty Peac University. Two thousand five to two thousand nine go Queenie plus enough. Let's see those are some cheerful sounds? Lisa well I always feel cheerful. It's I'd say time toads. We are going to put our experts on the hot seat while they answered lillies questions Lisa. Who should we put on the hot seat? I Jerry Maguire. Because he's going to show us the money. His name is not Jerry Maguire. But I like your thinking anyway I fine. Blue Okay Lily. What question do you have for Jerry to start? Tell me about what you do. What does a typical day in your job? Look like sure so. I've been hired to come up with competitive cheer routines at various high schools. So I go. I work with the students. I kind of envisioned the whole routine. I teach it to them and we go through all the motions and until we're ready to go. Put it into competitions clue. Yeah that's my job to. That's basically what I do. I see. Allison how did cheerleading become a sport? That's an excellent question. So initially cheerleading began in the UK in the mid eighteen hundreds and then traveled over to the US and at first there were college students who were in the audience watching a football game and the athletes weren't doing well during the football game and so the audience decided that they were going to get together and they were going to encourage their fellow athletes from there the sport grew throughout the US and then officially became competitive sport in the nineteen eighties. It's also spread throughout the entire world since then cool. This is for you. Jerry what would you say is the worst injury seen on the Mat So one time I did see a basket. Toss gone wrong person. Just didn't catch the flyer so she fell down. Hit the person who was on the base that they both kind of hit their head on the ground and Yeah so just to head. Injuries is the worst I saw. Because you know you need your you need your brain to be intact or two. That are they okay. They're they're still with us. That's good yes where I don't see bring them. He said they were with us. It's just an expression that means they're non dead. Humans are obsessed with. Who's alive who is dead going? What are you robots obsessed with? Good question we have you ever had something called Zucchini tuition. So mean Okay Lily. Quick change the subject away from that. Vegeta- this one's for both of you. Can you tell me about the jump? The herkie Chanda Hurricane Joe. Okay who wants to take that question? I'll start okay. So there was a fellow named Lauren Turkey and he founded the NCI the national cheerleading association. And he also invented the pom pom so they named jump after him because everyone loves him and he big in the world of cheerleading. And it's just this fantasy cheerleading jumping with some nice arches in aerials well to add onto that Lawrence her car. The reason why the jump was specific named after him because he attempted to do a split jump and instead bent his leg and as a result he came up with this jump. That did not exist. Which is why was named after him the hurricane.

"Anchor really is the easiest way to make podcast. Let me tell you why we use it for the morning. Mantra it's free. It comes with built in creation in tools that allow us to record an editor podcast. Right from the palm of our hand in our tablets earn our computers anchor. Distributes the podcast for us so that it can be heard on spotify. Why Apple podcasts? Stitcher and many more. It's everything you need to make a podcast. In one place no fancy studios are training required. Just you're unique voice. Voice did I mention it's free because it is download the free anchor APP or go to anchor dot. FM to get started. My doctor asked if anyone in my family suffers from mental illness and I told him no. We all seemed enjoy it. Hi this is Jim K.. And this is the morning Mantra Hi mine is MK Flint. I'm Ren coach based in Denver Colorado. But this isn't a podcast about running. Exactly don't tell her clients but never really talking about the running. When you know a crap testing event is coming it helps Heaven Mantra to to keep you centered and focus as she moves through? You don't have to be an athlete to be Hashtag coached and loved by coach K.. And if you are here here then you are Hashtag meaning at life. Today's mantra is is take this. Take this coach K.. Is Making spirits. Bright and getting yell excited to roll around rounded the verbal excrement. That's GONNA fill your lungs and souls this holiday season with some shady bitch lessons. Now you do not ever need to channel Your Interim K.. Even if my voice is planning to firmly in your head and yells on your behalf from time to time that voice is there to cheerlead an advocate for you and those about moments when no one else is doing it in those moments when I'm not actually physically present to do it. Well then what are these lessons for. The goal is to plant some season. Your brain that can grow into trees and when the moment is right you can pick off a nice switch and beat. Someone's ego back into submission with it so the women have been doing it for centuries everyone everyone else is a week invitation. They send their kids to Harvard instead of charm. School no joke it's world. Learn this shit. I can cut without knives whether whether or not you do is up to you. What matters is that you have the ability and the power to defend yourself in those moments when you're attacked the people pretend not to see what's happening? The Golden Rule For shady bitches is the first rule of Improv. Just go with it you respond. Do Whatever is said you respond to their words not to your feelings. They know they're hurting your feelings. That's the whole point. That's their power. They're not going to stop. Because you ask them to. You have take your power back in less than one. We learned respond to phrases. Like I don't understand with. I know you don't unless number two we learned to meet. TMI questions questions with TMI answers listen three. We learned to receive a backhanded compliment less four. We face those helpful suggestions that I do not actually help anybody and today. We're going to respond to those bitches. You never made the cheerleading squad and do not know how to cheer people on similar to the backhanded compliment. Fake cheerleading comfort. You didn't seek sometimes for problems. You weren't even aware of now. Don't let anyone tell tell you that you're a bad mother. Just because your kids pick their noses your brother did until he was like nine. Now don't ever feel like a bad Ed mother just because your kids don't know how to use forks. I wouldn't let my nine year old touch them either. The world has changed now. Don't let anyone anyone make you feel ashamed for working the way you do. Interior design is very important. Be Proud of how well your children have adjusted despite the long hours. You're putting in that job now. Don't you feel less than for you. Baby is happy and healthy and no one cares that you haven't lost the weight yet. Even though there's five now these comments cut deep and they usually strikes strike at the heart of an insecurity to confirm that yes. People are thinking these terrible things about you. The good news. Okay now you know. It's no longer question. This person is judging you. There is nothing you can do to earn their approval. Do not try. This is verbal. Tennis fantas defensive. Move slow the game and tennis's not a team sport unless you are related to me. No one is going to join your team in those moments drill. y'All I live for this shit. I'm never too busy to make a bully realized how stupid it was the thing that I would keep my mouth shut. Go along with anything seriously. Are you awake. Are you sober. Did you forget who I was. Do you know what year it is. You know who the president is someone calling Dr. I'm super polite. Learn this charm school. The host sets the tone for the Party and I have to follow their rules. When I'm invited somewhere I have to assume they know what they're getting? If you see something say something or fuck off you heard a game of tennis starting up and realized I was not only present but also awake that means you had a chance to stop 'em K.. From coming out the bottle. Which is the direct invitation to be my fullest? bestest self because you see. If I didn't do that it would be rude. You invited me for reason reason and it's your party but I'm an exception. y'All I got tired at some point in pretending not to notice bullying and got tired of pretending I was okay with it and forgive everyone who didn't have the courage to stand by me and those moments most people won't get involved in these interactions no matter how tiny the consequences. Don't let anyone tell you you're a bad mother. Just because you didn't have time or money to put your kids swim lessons. I'm sure they'll learn. It's not like your friends swimming pools right key. Here is the execution start to finish. It should take two seconds. Max Step One wince step to look away step three grab breath mint sure. Won't Mama honey take this then. showed that breath men in their hands. Stand up and walkout bonus if you pass their hand while you press the mid into it it's just about the most condescending gesture hugh can make I cannot getting. y'All practiced this with a partner in charm school. Now if you follow those instructions actions you might need to practice this a lot in front of the mirror. That's okay don't worry about it. This is one of the hardest ones to get right. Because it's not an instinct and you've got to reach for something that might not be there another pro WPRO tip wear pants or skirts with pockets. You'll notice even in the dresses. Were recently for family photos. Their pockets in their guess what I had their manse deodorant and toys their big pockets. Most places I go where other people are going to be around and I can't just run out the door whenever I want to. I don't attend very many of those events but when I do my pants have pockets. Madrid has pockets. Makoto has pockets and I always have a mint in my hand at any given moment because that will get me out of conversation if you've practiced it you get this technique down even a little bit. Then you handled that moment home at like a shady Sassy southern bitch and your coach is very very proud. Maybe you can't tell everyone to fuck off but you don't have to take it either. No one has has the right to ruin your holiday and anyone who wants to learn can throw shade and shutdown conversations like a classy. Sassy southern a bitch. "I come back and the bitch is now like not on the front door, but at the other door. So like even if I were to make a run for it, it's right there like waiting by the door. Right? And I'm just like, okay, okay. Okay. I couldn't even muster the courage to try and sprayed run like, I'm not playing this take off probably in your day when you spray it outside of that motherfucking building and just waited for somebody else to come through. And they saw it. And like when they opened the front door flew out and then I went to my bed. Well, so I don't know this this read before the Roach. Fuck you. Bitch, you are day shis ho and as well as just like just the filth of of New York City. My God. Like just because canny I couldn't even almost blame the Roach one hundred percent of the way because you leave trash bags on the street here for people to come in. Like you say everything about Florida, right? They gave us beings. You know what I'm saying? Like we had been for trash bin for recycling. You feel that bitch up and push it out at the front of the row or whatever. When it was bad to be trash day and they came in machine, pick it up, maybe that's boozy maybe I'm spoiling it's just too many people in New York City for that. I mean, it makes sense completely overpopulated I get it, but these Rochas are like snacks and they just warped AC or whatever makes when I tell you I was about to be like this apartment, you want to. Half, let me get much. I'll and I'll go about my business. I was doing my laundry in the basement once in a big ass. Roach like this showed up in the laundry room and I had a pick up a vase that had fake flowers in it and set it on top of that Negga from moving over brave it at me. Like I'm not old freight rail. No, absolutely. Not. I don't wanna roaches that you hit and is still don't die. In it's already bleeding that weird even fleeing. Growth. You haven't even seen a flying Roach in such a long time or at least not one with nerve to fly when I was around, but that bitch, like as soon as I saw it, he was like, oh, guess what I can do. No, no, no, no. The whole places I'm not gonna argue with you. You can have it today. So I just wanted to tell that quick story of like I was so furious. I was no pun intended. I was so angry. I was just so tired and blue. I go back upstairs, get high again to fully appreciate my Cheetos. You had to reinstate your high. Fuck roaches that's I'm done. Yeah. I mean, we'll wrote disgusting. So it's valid. Form. My read this week. I just wanted to say really quickly, fuck the government in Michigan. Flint still does not have clean water. Fuck the judge in which aqui Clemens case over in mobile county. His name is Judge Mark Irwin. He found her guilty. Disorderly conduct and resisting arrest. If you remember she is the person who was arrested at waffle house because she. Plastic where to go with her food, which. Rest of us just automatically get that when we get our food to go. I don't understand why it turned into an issue of fifty cents, and then calling the cops, and then pulling her shirt down and exposing her and this very violent arrest and all that. Anyway. Despite the fact that there's a petition with more than fifty thousand signatures on it that was created and delivered to the Serra district attorney Chiquita was still found guilty. The judge said because the facts of the case met the legal definitions required to find her guilty and that all the emotion that played out around the trial was irrelevant to the proceedings. So she will have to pay, I believe, four hundred dollars total in court fees. Somebody will correct me if I'm wrong about that. She was also to ten days in jail, but it will be suspended for one year of informal probation. She and her lawyers plan to appeal that decision..

"Mall of the awards shows should be tributing are to be honest with you because it's not just black stars, not just hip hop army stars that have gotten they have gotten lyrics and production from Missy Elliott. You can ask your pop girls. You'd ask some of the regulars. You could ask a couple of gospel que-. Leans. So like. You stars that have those video. The video guard award right now have had production miss. Janet are like best friends soda. This whole ward named after her brother shutt- shutt-. I'm tired, but whatever last night least. I don't know exactly who this read is four, but I just wanna say, quick story the other day, it was maybe three thirty in have a grocery store like literally right on the corner of my street. That's open twenty four hours. And so I was high and I decided that I wanted to have a snack before bed, which is in the wisest thing to do. I hear. But you know, I'm me. And so I decided at three thirty two downstairs go get like I think got like some. She does lemonade. I dunno, whatever. Quick walk comeback around the corner. Now you see my building before. So you know, there's like that front door door. Then there's another door right there that you have to like buzz through many buildings are like that. So I come an, put it in the codes. I'm not afraid of many things. Okay. Okay. I have always had issue with roaches their hideous like they're just gross the way to their little antenna or whatever moves around. Oh my God, like carrying diseases roaches are just gross. So I see this huge Roach right up on the wall, like right across from the door. I'm like, oh, okay. That's what we're doing today. No sooner than I look and realize that there's a Roach there. It takes flight. Oh no, it's a flying road. I'll just say the only ones I'm really scared of have wings. Oh, that flew from one wall to the next one I would have to leave then to the glass on the door, right in front of me, I'll go home later. I stood outside of my building for no less twenty. Five. Literally back and forth pacing. Trying to because the they gave us keys like there are two doors that you can also get in on either side of the building that kind of lead to the staircases and they gave us keys for that when I moved in, but then they switched the door because they said like people were letting their friends in or whatever. Some dumb shit like that. Hard to believe. I mean, whatever, but they never. I never got a new key. So the only way for me to get into the building through this door, I wasn't going to like I really thought to myself. Okay, if I just buzzed this and like make run for it, what are the odds that this thing could come into contact with me? Just one chance. It just would not. I wasn't gonna do it. Not when that motherfucker flew. Let me tell you something. I will never ever go to battle with a flying Roach. I'm not doing it like it. All it takes for me to open this door and for this Roach to like freak out and then fly at me and I will die on the spot. It doesn't even have to attack me. I will die. Like if it touches my body, I'm going to collect, I will literally need immediate fair. I'm already itching like. So I mean, I eventually are tired of waiting. I went back to the grocery store and I got like some bug spray, and I was like, what what's going to happen is I'm going to have to try from a distance..

Clansman less the show. All right. So we're back. It's time for the read. Yes. I have a few things to say, try and make them very query. First of all, muni while glad that somebody's because this was all my list today as well. Glad. Wow. After all, of whom in Holland in me, still standing Parker said all rooting for you in just really, really rooting watching the parkers every day. I don't care that you and Roseanne friends and she came onto ubt. Talk show, didn't wanna go on your show and you know you're just not going to money. Rosendo care about your blackest. Care about none of our black asses. She did Roseanne would not be rose, ending her way through a whole bunch of maybe cocaine, I think cocaine sounds like cocaine and all of the other foods that she's been a part of Roseanne when the fucked up a whole bunch of people's jobs would not still be running around here right now, screaming, racist comments from a bottom of her good. And here you are defending her while also claiming that the industry blackball Jew and as a black woman, and then in industry, I'm just sell sad. So disappointed in this. Yes, money, I really want the best for you. I think you're such a great talented, not only comedian just performer myriad, but the headline I read in the story for a while, the headline made me Sola said, I just couldn't believe it sister. That's what we're doing right now. Gross while sister where was Roseanne were you were hollering for everybody to boycott. Netflix with outta remembers talking about definitely be paid what she like this this, what you all have offered her is disrespectful. Where was Roseanne when you were going through it? Where was that? What was the sisterhood? Has she ever called you there. Especially in the last like six months and this bitch, looking at everything Rosanna the this is the hill. You wanna die on lost sizes. You had my support until you came into, you decided Roseanne had yours. Just won't do that. I just can't. Nope. Like you were right then and you're wrong. Now I don't feel bad for supporting you right there. Spock now very. It's like, Yep, sorry. Also, I would like to say, I heard that Jennifer Lopez is going to be getting the Michael Jackson video vanguard award via maize this year. I just wanna say that. Jennifer Lopez is beautiful woman. She's had six packs and she was born. She is a great former dances are asked still puts on a great show. Lots of really pretty looks and many music videos. And you know, she's, here's the thing. I don't really feel like I need to. Shea, Jennifer Lopez. I wouldn't have a problem. Jennifer Lopez winning this award. If Missy Elliott, our Hanlin and honestly eve, Missy Elliott did already have one Acas still think of some people who I feel like should get a video vanguard award before Jennifer Lopez, like Busta rhymes, kind of homophobic. So after Oscar, Kendrick, Lamar. Outcast. Alkhast definitely. Am I a give one to Mariah Carey doesn't have one in my has a problem with anti blackness. Oh, don't forget. Remember when she said something about somebody asked her about black lives matter. She was like, where is beyond saying Kendrick to say, Muslim lives. Syrian lies matters. Let's going over to..

"Life. Are you going beach also through it? Are you going truly Joe way through it. And so since that day, like as soon as she told me that I started to change the way that I spoke to myself every time that I would drag myself for making a mistake, especially in regards to my ex, what I thought was mistake, I would say, yes, I must up on that. I made a mistake. I have accepted it and now moving forward, I'm not going to sit here and kick my onus for this for the rest of my life. She said, it's like talking to a child Asya child spills a Cup of milk. Are you going to every time you see that child every day for the rest of their fee like member that time when you were five and thirty eight days and you spilled milk and I had to use three of my good bounty to clean it up and replace eight ounces of milk. Are you really going to sit there and drag that baby for that, or we're going to clean up the milk and move on with our fucking laws. That's what I had to do. I had to clean up the milk of my life, stop blaming myself nonstop as start looking forward again. And that came with the change in the way I was talking to myself. I couldn't not sit up there and drag myself all day every day and expect to move forward in life. And I'm still very critical like that is still the case. But when I'm not doing is blaming myself for all the ways that I feel like I fucked up or should have done something better. I am not doing that anymore because for a long time I was obsessed with like mentally. Physically emotionally, getting back to the place I was in before I got with my expert, my therapist sit this one sentence that just -ffected me so deeply, which is that you cannot go back to move ahead. I kept saying to her, I just wanna get back to where I was. I was so much happier. I was, you know, involved in titties and I was doing this and this and she said, you cannot go backwards in order to move ahead what your life you are, not that girl anymore. So yet the LEGO of the place that you were in before the traumatic event happened and create a new one that serves you better. It's not about going backwards. It's about creating a new me, a person who prioritize herself first and foremost above all, and is creating time and space for herself to explore what she really wants and what is really valuable to her and not letting anybody else's needs supersede my own needs. So that is the place I have to create for myself a place where for the. First time I am compassionate with myself. It is something that I have never done before. I have always dragged myself through life and I'm tired of it. I have gotten as far as beating myself up through life can possibly take me to start cheerleading for myself..

"I noticed that his phone was pointed in our direction. I asked him about the phone and if he was recording us and he said, maybe then finally admitted that he was. He showed me his phone and he had at least an hour worth videos of us that day I felt, but with two young, how must have been going on long. I'm sorry, this is not appropriate. I'm sorry. I felt betrayed repulsed and disrespected. This is the only person I've had sex with an never thought he would videotape us without my consent. While I was looking at the videos. I also saw other videos of him planning the best space in the room where he would place his films record us before I arrived. It bothered me to know how much he preplanned this. I asked him why he didn't just ask me, I and he said, because he wasn't sure of my response. He says, he needs the videos for his own pleasure later since we don't have sex much also because he works really hard in life and needs something to take his mind off his job. He told me that I should look at it as a positive because it is better for him to look at videos of us rather than random girl on the internet. After I saw the videos, I told him we could come to a compromise if I can edit out the parts with my face in, I'm moving on his phone. He fussed about it, but complied. I saw this as an opportunity to delete most of the videos and only kept a few that I decided to edit my face out of. He didn't realize I deleted them until after I left his house. Once I left, he called to ask me about the videos and I told him that they should be on his phone. I lied and told him that I didn't elite the videos because I didn't feel like dealing with his temper while we talked had listened to him wine, almost cry and complain about why he didn't want me editing the videos because I might accidentally delete them this entire time. He wasn't concerned with my feelings and hardly mentioned the fact that he was wrong. He was more concerned about his loss footage than him lose trust. I've tried to break with him many times in the past, but he has a bad temper. I'm tired of the shenanigans. I have to deal with in a subpar relationship. We don't have sex much because I'm not physically or emotionally attracted to him. I'm only with him because I thought I could trust him because we've been together for a while and because I like six real, how can I break up with him? Should I just go to him? Thanks. Lisa. I'm glad you know that you need to break up with him and this is not a sugar, right? Because nigga who tapes you without your consent. And then that's bad enough by itself. That is, that is so bad. That is by dealbreaker all by itself top about didn't ask because I didn't know what you would say a vets, not how that works out fucking works. You can't be deceitful. You cannot lie into all of this stuff because of how you think somebody is going to react if you would have asked me if we can take ourselves having sex. And I said, no, we're just not gonna do it period. I like, do you have the right? You deserve that right on top of all of their bullshit. You still warlike is that rather like being like, you're going to delete all of this, right? The fuck now, all of it, and then please never speak to me again. You like compromise with this nigga and said, well, let me just at least take my face out of it. It and he is busting out that after doing without your consent. The will nice enough Hayes. You were nice enough to compromise when you should have just said, nigga, fuck you, and everything you stand for in life. Delated the videos in gone in the deleted folder and delete them for real and then deleted that nigga out, show phone natural life that you would have been well within your rights to handle it that way..

"And therapy for black girls over at therapy for black girls dot com. I know a lot of black women who found their therapist through that website. So just a couple resources where you guys, if you are looking for eight, there piss in your area or somebody who can identify with you in particular. Hopefully that helps out our first question this week comes from Don who says, my question is for Kip fury. I remember listening to an episode from a while back in which you mentioned that you watch the flesh. I think maybe it was in its second season. At this point. I really enjoyed the first and was rooting for iris west of excited to see her journey as a young journalist and her fierceness when it came to pursuing news about events in central city. And of course the flesh. This happened for a while in the first season, but after the first few episodes, it's almost like they put her story on the back burner and mostly just row. Her character sloppily the writings wasn't the best, but it got progressively worse. As the show moved along. There wasn't a lot of character development. I still watch it because I want to support Candace because I think she does her best with the material to work with and also because she's a black leading lady. We don't see. Many of those around here. My question is, do you still watch the flash? If so, what are your thoughts on it? I have never heard of this. So was the flash based on the flash era tune character? Sure. Book. I mean, animation drawn chore. And yeah, I think it's it's on the w I think they're going into season five. I haven't watched it in a while. I think fleas into the last season I watched now because I wasn't enjoying it. But just because I was just caught up with trying to catch up on a whole bunch of other shows as I still am and fell nevermind back. So yeah, I mean, I liked it. I think that grant Guston I think that's his name who plays the flash such a good actor. And yeah, they're all really talented. It was like a cute teen adaptation of the flashes story and stuff. But yeah. Now that you mentioned, I, I forgot that iris was even a reporter or whatever in that story at first. Because after a while, like she's like, oh, love. I know it's so hard in what he's like, my brother Onno whatever, you know, like what, like high school students, they wanna see, you know, angst in unrequited love and all of that shit and whatever the fuck. So I don't know. I was more for the action scenes and the, you know. Ties of the main character. His mom being Dan is Dan being locked up and having his black, adoptive, daddy. So, yeah, I haven't watched the flash obviously, but I completely understand where you're coming from. 'cause I was not only excited you know that I liked the show and enjoy the show, but that is is black women who can act and who's really, you know, beautiful and talented. And yeah, a leading character, but. You know, some shows get into their fourth, this season in things, kind of the same kind of have to adjust and decide whether or not you like it. But I've heard that Barry is still dumb or making done decisions, and a lot of happened and hopefully I can catch up at some point. Okay, cool. Our next question comes from Lisa who says, I am a twenty eight year old woman living in Pennsylvania. I don't have many people I can talk to for advice. I would really like your opinion. A few days. I mean, this is this one is rough. A few days ago I was having sex with my boyfriend at his house while we were engaged actively..

Like it must have just been so many people that he stressed out playing around hot now. See you notice say what he was high on. Rich, they're just going to say, we don't think we does this never done. It's me never Denison me or anybody. I know our have tried it a live all over on a sewer, very much. I ingested a lot of different ways and it just has not ever brought me to that place. Pardon me out of that place. It's done that we has significantly improved Mahmoud many, Jeff. It does do that. It does not take me to this place so he may want to consider giving up whatever he was on 'cause that just can't be healthy. Nobody wants to not in a good place when you're on that bro, throw know much about you but keep your stay away from all of that. Laced droid posted a photo of two dogs hugged up seeming. They are his. They're very, very cute, big dogs. I wanna big dog. I'm just worried about laying about to say, what is Lincoln? Do probably beat. It's the honest. I'm not even like worried about the other dock. I'm worried about Lincoln ride the other down. He will run up like she's not. She's not anything like she's not like an aggressive dog where she fights other dogs. But like if another dog is with the shit link is like it's whatever, like if fight wanted on, we can do it. So what is it? They gonna be constantly scrapping apart and I don't have time. I got another just get on this small one. I would probably just you're going to have to move to jersey and get a house backyard. Hello? Where they can just go out there and and the new one will link will be very much out. I don't. The atmosphere. You know how I feel about central. Link with. Oh my goodness. That's all I need is a little backyard. Oh my God. Debbie's will probably sleep out there on purpose. She would be like, you know, I'm actually not coming into your house anymore. Right? You would only see her when you went outside. May she loves me. She would just run around entire herself the fuck out. She does now in my house. Right. So you know, maybe you should consider it anyway back to Drake's dogs. They're all hugged up looking like, super, super cute. Christmas card. And the captions as me when I find a shorty that didn't slash anyone famous yet. Oh, God that is very rich. Coming from Drake, really negate low. You got a lot of nerve outer acting like you, somebody's virgin or you ain't chasing all the profile. Black women in music and entertainment don't. Oh, we. That is rich Monica drizzle like. Who so regular, you're saying like, he's like, he's like he really with all the money in fame and he's fine. Now. Just like taking pictures of his sandals in his socks in like getting fro? I like it. I don't like this comment. No. Instagram posts has made so confused. Like, what makes you think you deserve that girl? What makes you think you deserve that girl? Or maybe you aren't finding too many women who have in slashed, someone famous because there are some women that haven't that don't want to. Perhaps maybe there are some women that don't wanna sleep with a famous person because they don't want all the drama of you fucking holes from every square inch, the world, and wondering what that means they're going to be a new song or if your friends going to disrespect them or if the shade rooms going disrespect for them more all the other things like now. No, I'm sure like many women were just drug Drake to type, right? You know what I'm saying get what with that besides, but really Sam blame them for that and literally doesn't even use condoms. So it's a miracle at this selfie girl is the first one he got paid, but I just don't. I'm just not ever here for men making statements like. That, but especially men who have a reputation for smashing, girls strippers and you know, beautiful Instagram models. And really, you know, clearly just anybody like don't get how you can then turn around and be like, whoa, when I'm meet one who ain't been through the crew or whatever, like..

"Address them directly to ensure the safety and security of the entire flight. Apparently they requested to the plane, stopped it before you could hear to want to speak into tamer in. It's like she twenty keep saying. We need office line. Just leave. We need. We just go. We weren't doing anything in here under blankets sleeping like we need to leave. And so like eventually you hear time are say like, okay, I think the video cuts off so they requested to plane. They are allowed to do that. But this report also says that they refuse to take their belongings with them off of the plane, which is a federal violation in sparks safety concerns clearly. So that park confuses me because if you requested a plane, why wouldn't you wanna take your bags bags ago wherever you not going see if I didn't watch the video and I had just read this report. I would assume that maybe they were like drunk or some, you know, like maybe on some medication or high or whatever. And that's why they weren't responding or whatever, but they sounded perfectly fine in video to me. You didn't sound like it was all over the place in losing why they would want to leave the plane without their stuff that doesn't even make any sense. I don't understand why they would need to respond to the flight attendant anyway, if they're not in. In the exit row for rou because I never have to talk to a flight attendant. That's why I'm not in the exit. Right. I never have. You don't have to watch that video. Nothing. Watch ex. X road, I sit down my headphones. Like nobody says anything while even them to ask me what drink. Little hottest wash qua-, and then I go to Washington. But this, I'm curious, what is the unusual behavior? Right? I don't get it either. I don't understand what warranted the pilot coming from the cockpit to tell them. Yeah. That just doesn't make sense. We'll take mar posted on her on insta- story a little caption here that says, if you know any about me, you know, I have proof of anything hold, please. I'm in a meeting with the flex emoji. So maybe she's got receipts of what actually happened or she's gonna tell the story about what happened, whatever, because while I've never really experienced what I felt like was racism towards me on a dull to fly out, I'll put nothing past day. Okay. Nobody especially if you black and probably first class, so I don't know. This doesn't make a lot of sense to me. It did seem like the pilot was not here for the shit's. He's don't ask me any questions just answer yes or no. She said yes. And he immediately turned his back and walked off like he was upset. I don't know what happened or what that unusual behavior is. But they said here, it says the carrier is still investigating the allegations of discrimination in reviewing reports. So delta as a company is still, I guess, looking into it because they're not with the shoes, somebody better shape up something this story they'll make. No, it doesn't make anything because then again, on the expert, understand what they were being pressed about what they had to comply with or whatever we were just under our blanket sleeping. And I was like, that sounds like me on adult. So don't wake you up to see at all some chips or whatever they leave you alone. They do so I don't get this. Can..

"So it doesn't really shock me that she's still getting some work done or whatever, but especially like this part of the work clearing samples, I don't know how you know they didn't realize that there was a Tracy Chapman sample in there until now who produced this song who how did this happen? Right. Why did they say? But I'm sure that once they realized that they she has to have people in place that can like you said, get in touch with the right people so they can just get cleared in time. Tracy Chapman. Don't be on the internet, right? Just seems hashtag in her name and reposting some crazy persons DM's too. Is that even Tracy Chapman's, Instagram. Just a fan account, do even know like I don't even think we know whether this actually her account, but it just seems fruitless to do those things. None of us has any access to try. So this is a way she's very like, she's very interactive with the barbs when she wants to get someone's attention. Both of those things. Terminal line has twenty six, eight followers. This year we celebrate the thirtieth anniversary of Tracy Chapman's debut album request for copy of the book. There's nothing really here. I feel like that can that would make them for me of whether or not this is right for counter a fan account or even at something that's doing it. So yeah, I don't know. But yeah, she knows how to use her fans for whatever. You know what I'm saying set up for this is why the album won't be coming out on time. If you ask me, it sounds like a very convenient excuse. For why this apple would be pushed back. And then if it's pushed back for more than a week, we don't have to come up with some other excuse, but I don't know that it's ready, but I do hope she's right about it. Being this perfect body of work that she can't wait to show with the room with every artists that about every upcoming album. Every single one, they always say, oh my God, this is greatest body of work I've ever done. This is so emotional for me. I've put my whole, so it's just so soul Baring. I'm giving you all of my truth, but girl you gave me all your truth on the last album. I thought how much you got left lies brand new truths, every artist there in the last two years. Yeah. Anytime a musician says, this is the greatest body of orcas is my best body work. I always take that with a grain of salt, no matter who it is because everybody says that. So, I mean, I hope that it it is and I am really interested in this greatest rappers. Good. Yeah, I will just like for to enjoy most of it. So there was an interview that took place after they won the game and Draymond Monde got a microphone from someone in celebration here with his shades on and was recorded saying, we just ain't cut the same. I told when them dudes from the Cavs at the game, he tried to shake my hand. I said, tristen we ain't cut the same clearly talking about mister car dash in right. I don't know if they have not seen each other or had not seen one another since, But but. story goes that actually one Jason McIntyre verified, but I don't know what he does. "I'm pretty sure the first openly gauge and make an American Parsons to have a TV show. Not even. I'm just saying nigga I'm just saying, let us be happy for you. Let us be proud of you because it is such an amazing thing you have done and I just cannot say enough good things. I'm so proud. Look at my mother fucking friend out there, living his truth. Thank you. I appreciate that very much. I'm not even gonna get in my motions, but no, it's okay. You can speech. Would you like to tell the story to tell them about your process arm going to this is that I'm incredibly grateful. I have been pouring the majority of myself into this. Projects into this experience for such a long time and it has drained, much energy from me, not because the process is draining. I mean, it's hard work, but it means so much to me that I have so much. I've placed a lot of pressure on myself and I think that it has affected me in my life in many, many ways ever since. But the ball has been moving. Thank you to lean away. Thank you so much to Chloe and Jason HBO and everybody for being so supportive and so helpful and understanding that, you know, I'm a lunatic and I'm also humble to a fault sometimes. So yeah, I'm just, you know, it's still really, really early money. I cannot tell you how many headshots I've gotten in the past two days like so when the shooting started, I'm ready to go and. Girl. It's so early when that person came out. I was like excited because it's not a secret anymore, whatever. But at the same time it's still so early on that it's like, I don't know that I'm ready for all of this attention on it yet. I'm still like cradle cradling it in Miami titties in my bosom that they were going to sit on it for a couple more weeks before it came out. And I was just like, damn, they wasted no time like they were really just waiting to be like, Yep, got everything. Great. Put it out there like variety. My whole government variety was variety. Put all out there. It'll initial everybody. And now everybody is celebrating us. So many people who do not see themselves reflected in TV are going to see characters look like them and their friends and their brothers and their cousins, and it is just such a great thing. I am so sober out of you. I love you so much. All I ask is that if my character makes an appearance, please don't cast a mix girl play me. That's all I ask. Just saying, please don't let them do this problem. This is going to be like a story about my life and everybody gets, and it's not say if if I show up cast cast somebody with two black parents, I'm not going to talk about. I will say though, is that this from me is more important about telling a story of emotion and like self-discovery than like telling you about kid fury like it's not about that at all. It's about like feelings, emotion, misunderstanding yourself, not giving yourself enough credit or break in that sort of thing in how all that fits under the queer black wins. This is going to be. So I cannot wait to see it just bed in mind, say a good when for me, thanks a gift for you. You are just is that Hennessy wide end is what is today? And it is infused with marijuana. I know you have somewhere to be tonight, so I don't expect you to drink right now, but. Had all this plant which you mean mega celebration. You amazing my liver. Thank you. Okay. Okay. Poll. Moving loans. I got you. This whole my God, spicy hair bows..

"It's like it's a small thing that is such an important thing. They if you live within two miles squeak, f free transportation, there's an onsite food Bank where parents can come and pick out food and stuff to prove to prepare at home. They've got job placement programs for parents. They've got GED classes and programs for parents. They've got all kinds of things that like cannot only lend to like a healthy state of mind in emotional state of mind or whatever for the students, but also for the parents so that kids are going back to a healthy and supportive and loved on household as well. And top of all of that, if you graduate from the school, you're guaranteed for years of tuition covered university of Akron like this. So everybody knows that. I don't know anything about the sports. I just, you know, heard about him moving to play for the Honey badgers, and that's what they are. I will get a jersey because I stand LeBron. This is a beautiful thing LeBron is doing. He's always been very generous with his money, but pouring this kind of money into education and doing it the public school route and creating another charter school and also going after the kids who are a year or two behind their peers, and not necessarily the kids were at the top of the class with the kids who need extra help the kids who need that extra attention and focus. So it is just wonderful what he's doing all the way around I am in such complete support. I won't be buying a LeBron Lakers jersey because I have my own. Jersey. Do they even still sell LeBron. You can find one. Yes. So yes, it is a beautiful amazing thing LeBron James is doing for those kids and I just, you know, it's the sort of thing government could and should be doing for children the nation. It's entirely too much like, right, so why people won't do it unless they are, you know, one day force, but this is just beautiful. Kneel down on me like he didn't give a fuck about. And in fact, people are even now talking about LeBron is using his money to divide us, like if you can lose what he's doing with this school and find a way to hate them that then you were just born, hey, I'm sorry, Taylor. Swift could open this school and I would just have to give it to just have to just that good of a thing. So if you find it in your hearts, Halen, LeBron's, you have to really wonder why you are that day to dedicated to negatively so. Well, that's about it. Actually not. We're gonna head on. Where we talk about pop culture store done because I have to do it. This week in black excellence. My negative hearing. Are you playing the fucking Jamaican. The legendary podcast AVI lager and stand up comedian Kip Yuri. It was announced this week is available a half hour HBO series. What does this fling Jamaican national? Are you thought you would love it? Okay. First of all, clear away. Okay, I was. I was trying to think of how Jamaican I could make, but thanks to lean away and a handful of other amazing people give your my mother fucking nigga, sit and riot across from me right now. Will serve as writer and co executive producer on the new series. It is surreal, dark, comedy that follows Grebo. Sarcastic gay Blackman navigating adulthood and responsibility in New York City. You're so much while struggling with his undiagnosed clinical depression. Just have to say as obviously saw this coming. But I, I mean, I simply did, but all of us who have been if you refinance for so long and can remember, yo s Beck and Florida and your mama's house type in video room. Yes. Those of us who remember the salmon colored while those of us who have watched you moved to New York and deal with loud as toddlers rats. Yeah, mental health shit. Some that people know about and some that don't end just all the trials and all the things you have overcome and getting past your own self to be where you are right now, my nigga I am so proud of you. I am so proud of you because I know what it took for you to get here and we don't ever celebrate ourselves, but I am going to force you to celebrate yourself today because you did that. No, you don't get to downplay it. You don't get to act like it's not that big of a deal..
