"Is one of is the oldest service calendar academy military service Academy and its purpose is to train young people and Leadership off military skills and also to make them the total person cuz not only do you train on the military you drain a sports but you also can get a major and they have the wrong. I may just like engineering computer scientists and computer science and you will graduate with a bachelor's degree. But then you have a commitment to the military. Typically it's five years in X. You were commissioned a second Lieutenant. It is a wonderful experience. You normally nominated by a congressman a senator and when you get there to have classmates you home. Classes you have who you go during the Summers to military training? Like for example, I went to the Air Force Academy for Sierra Trading just survival evasion was just an escape. It is a premier school that when I went through the education was worth $250,000. Wow. Yeah. I know it's a lot more but this is the place that you had graduates who have gone on the president's me have had Premier generals. Let me give you someone name's General Eisenhower. General US Iraq is as friends became president. He had General Patton General MacArthur General Westmoreland. It is a fantastic school. You have the West Point society, which is like the alumni Academy mum mum, nice the of the stuff. I'm 9 for West Point alumni for West Point and it's across the nation and in other places where you always wage To reach out and you can meet a West pointer. You can drop a dime and there's a West Point at the West Point Society. Now, it also has diversity and it's 218 history 18 year history. We've had our first African-American superintendent. This is General Darryl A Williams fan tests here. We have the largest women large number of women of color. They graduated from the United States. Military Charlotte Richard. Oh wonderful. Wonderful so I can only say my experience. It's a wage become a total person and I love it because again, it's the oldest military service Academy and you have the Merchant Marine Academy the Coast Guard Academy the Naval Academy the airbags scanning, but maybe I'm biased I say, where's point is the best. I know that's a lot of work. I know Michael Patriots will you know probably get mad at em, That one but West Point is the best as far I say West Point is the college for future presidents because the leadership that they learn in those who do not become presidents.

"Your Netflix's get that nephews money. My favorite character I'm so sorry but it might have been Graham mctavish when he was a demon. Dramas yet grandmom tavist when he was dramas weird and funny and such a contrast. To who he presents his father. McKinley. And I think the sort of Gravitas and intensity that he has as a performer. This sort of like. FERAL impish rascal bet like was always on always about to get the giggles was just such a funny surprise if I left it. And still super dangerous though not just like. A his the silliness in quirkiness of the character. Did Not, take away from this didn't less mistakes of the situation and I thought that was such a fine line to walk and I loved it. I also always love Rachel Harris. I've maintained that her delivery of this gin. I I laughed out loud. One of my favorite line deliveries of the whole season. But she like she's just constantly funny but still grounded. And truthful and emotionally present and such a good therapist. I'm unless she's tried like God knows Dr. Linda has had some experiences that would try the greatest of therapists citing we give her a pass on some of this. Her I think she's great. I agree more Trixie I didn't think I. didn't they lifted really bad by not having the picture of Charlotte Richards being when she and Trixie did each other's hair in those crazy pompoms or whatever. It would have been such a nice touch a it. I also think that. So a little bit of a broken record but super bad boyfriend Lucifer I. Think we're two of my favorites stay Lucifer interesting in spooky mysterious in the way that I responded to the show when it first started and you're trying to learn the rules of the show or like figure out the characters like this is being the devil work. How does this work? Why why is chloe immune to him? What is this mystery The same Lucifer episode you got into that let all of a sudden the mythology has turned opened.

"That cannot stand. So I'm curious to see how that plays out naturally but that. The character really comes under folks a good bit here even down with that amenity conversation. So I'm I'm on board with where they WANNA go with this storyline I'm not on board with this week this week but. Another. issue. I like the day give both chloe and Eve really distinct. Oh like realizations we get some PIPPA face here, which is good and like away your eve like you know who he is and you're totally fine This is a much more significant thing. Then I thought. Okay. Processing processing and then the little Stinger with them with Eve to son. We'll see what you know how that plays out. But yeah, there's there's some really good stuff. I think right of the core of this and some of the for me I enjoy the case of the week just because of the tired thing. I will stick with the stupid case of the week all the way just for that like so much of the case of the week doesn't make any damn sense now it makes so little sense got so frustrated with the twist at the end of like I planned the bank robbery and this is like. was established in hinted out in any way it wasn't why Why Dan working the case why is he charges? Doesn't make any sense I mean I guess technically, he and Chloe were working the case but you know for did show up. So technically he was on as we know dent always doing the paperwork. His case area and I will say the no you were talking about it lasts episode you know how you've been told that you've like she's more like able when came and of course, like this also convergent made team they broach the subject to talk about how you know use for killers everything and she's like well, yeah. You know my son who took away my sweet son yet I'm and I'm sure that cain deserved whatever he got. So I mean it's it's quick but like quick to blow up has a storyline you know didn't work for for party discuss but like also a away that makes sense to. She was probably very like she had all these thousands of years to to more on her innocence on her eyes whereas you know came was roaming World Renewal Jackass, reading Moby Dick. And Have like. JUST NAMED CHECKING CHARLOTTE. Richards, for that, it just does that does a lot of the heavy lifting and the lobby really cells that moment it gets just enough time is like you. I liked that they make sure eve comes down to Earth with her eyes open on like aware and not like made that choice to to come seek out Lucifer already having made peace with cain being killed the combination of Charlotte and the fact that Manziel was you know going on about always free will stuff in silver city. So like not that's what got like her gears turning basically defiantly come down here. So what are you gonNA deal? Yeah I did it because I saw you dad. It's Yeah. I, wonder from watching you on. I don't I don't know. Strange cousins just don't disarm some level of removed ray. Yeah. 'cause it's not even like a step sibling thing now same dad. Different moms slash non-existent mom womp of clay rhythm. Mom like it's complicated How did you guys think about it? Excellently? Alison. Very Nice Elton's name in the chat listeners. Now, mazes ponytail braid, which is good because it's another excellent as do this this season how did you feel about that that that middle stuff and then our cases the week did were you as like? What is happening to the screen as I was I you know I will say that I thought to myself. Oh well, the wife was involved in the robbery very early in the. Like. Once he showed up and started yelling but wanting to see his wife was like well I don't. Like, I just don't think that what this is going to be as they convince. A victim of abuse to reunite with her spouse, which must mean there must be something else going on So I sort of I sort of saw that coming, it doesn't make sense. It just seemed like where it was going to go I like that it's just I what I appreciate about the at least the beginning of this story is that it is so transparent an excuse to get Lucifer involved because of his car and and that is transparent both on the part of the show and of Khloe. Where it's like, oh no, I know a person with a fancy car. I got this it G, who should I call with really fun and silly and and tied in really nicely with that was going on with with poor Lucifer and the closure he doesn't understand with like that's that's classic lose for Dr Linda stuff that that's like a very nice vintage The once we were in hostage situation, it was like a completely different episode. Let an episode that I really liked. So the tonal whiplash and the sort of a abrupt about face was kind of dizzying. But I think I enjoyed that I liked feeling disoriented by the change because they all would to right they were just like I mean. Ella. was on molly we know like okay and then cocaine and that this I was like Oh we're on Netflix now win win Lucifer how do we get A. Sober and that was solution she was like all right. Here we go. Just, not awaken anything me. It was that was very satisfying. So I agree that it's bat shit but it was batch it in a way that made sense to me in terms of the episodes emotional arc if not, it's logical arc does that make sense? Yeah because it just it was like, Whoa, whole new episode halfway through, which was very cool. I think even the stuff makes sense unlike an emotional arc level because she's been giving up her Sunday's partying a lot in going out a lot. So the idea that she would take molly from this perfect stranger that she only knows because she's said that Lucifer's talked about Ella to her. And goes yeah no thick Somali. Just again, make sense with everything else that we've gotten for ELA with been all almost entirely offscreen but excite from looking really hung over in her talking about it. But the fact that it all works as well as it does make sense it doesn't feel like trail the character I think just. Highlights how efficiently that was done but also how happy we are that She's a character again and not a Weirdo from season three. Yes. And I just wanted to talk about noting how the cases like we lose a car. It's it's so like. The excuse from co anyway because what they go to this apparently swanky carshow no-one is swanky by. Which I love for just taking a second to insult the guiding no.

K. Kang was a handler for an IED detection dog blue a black lab was specially trained to sniff out explosives and was B. case partner for a long time full year from two thousand eleven right in two thousand and twelve and he says the dog saved his life and the lives of his fellow soldiers so many times that he actually lost count B. K. was so grateful to blue he promised her that he would give her a good home when does she didn't have to worry about having to find bombs during the war now after his tour of duty blue was reassigned and he lost track of her but he was determined to track her down and keep his promise B. K. in this family in Georgia those working dog she says they will give up their lives just for us the case says we should be thankful to them respect them and above all trust the dog because dogs don't lie dogs are man's best friend so this determined veteran finally adopts his military dog blue who saved his life and he says countless others to after spending the first four hundred and fifty two days of his life in the hospital little Edwin Fisher is finally home with his family the baby boy had been at rocky mountain hospital for children in Denver Colorado since March of two thousand nineteen was just released this week Edwin had a rough start in life born twelve weeks premature in Nebraska in the middle of the bomb cyclone and his lungs weren't fully developed yet and the small hospital didn't really have the medication he needed to survive so he couldn't be transferred because of the storm so law enforcement officers actually drove the lifesaving medicine to the Nebraska hospital in that storm and they made it through the night next day he was moved to rocky mountain hospital where he was until just now in the family says we are just so happy we've been waiting a long time for this yeah seven make it four hundred and fifty two days they were waiting joining us now is our twenty four seven network reporter bills M. for not a good day to check out that four oh one K. yesterday bill Friday and that yeah yeah the tremors your fell yesterday came from Wall Street died of a drop of almost seven percent and the Dow will six percent of the S. and P. but it's it's amazing these drops that were sizable yesterday were only the fourth largest percentage wide this year alone so it it really has been just an amazing year and what makes this so difficult to predict is that a we've never been through anything like this there is no model for this the last two recessions we have been in and by the way the national bureau of economic research says oh yeah we're in a recession we've been in a recession since February even though we're not even through the second quarter yet which recession is defined as to back to back quarters where you have a retraction of the economy they're already saying yeah we're in a recession here but they they last recessions that we had here yet two thousand seven two thousand nine that was a sub prime mortgage crisis even go back to the Reagan recession that was because the federal federal reserve raised interest rates so high to curb inflation that the but they put the clamps on the economy this is not an economic recession I like how one Harvard economist puts it right he says the U. S. economy is in a medically induced coma that yeah there are some economic factors here on employment and such but all caused by the pandemic and then one factor the CDC saying are we could be on the verge of a second deadly wave of the corona virus so that makes this so difficult to predict where we are headed from here that that we expect more volatility continue just look at the fact that their futures are up again this morning so what you have to go by that old adage once again that the only thing predictable about the markets is that they will be unpredictable those ever from a twenty four seven network okay bill have a good weekend thank you thank you rob six forty seven White House says that there's a one hundred percent chance that another coronavirus relief package will be signed into law speaking on MSNBC yesterday senior adviser to the president Kevin Hassett says officials are watching the numbers involved as stated re open their economies so far I kind of Mr overstating the negative that I think that we in the White House are optimistic that the Congressional Budget Office forecast for really strong second half of the year is a good place to start Hasidim the possibility now for a fourth coronavirus relief bill the plan is to have a face for deal I I think I was.

"Are running long but we have to talk about Charlotte before we wrap up Tricia. Helfer were Goddamn Emmys. So she's really good. I really liked the Linda and Charlotte scenes. That's all I have anybody else thought bit. She wants to win at therapy. Because I mean that's that's how you go into therapy. Their own you go. I'm going to be. I'm going to beat therapy by which you mean. I'm going to beat myself into submission and it's like that's not how this works. I mean I feel like Charlotte in theory. Richards could beat therapy like maybe the Charlotte Ritchie was not missing forever memory. That's other thing that sucks. She's not missing part of her memory. She just wasn't there. Everybody was processed and she was downhill. So there's nothing you can do about that. And obviously she doesn't know that Linda knows that you know so kind of working with all that but then by the end obviously she talks about her hell loop which is really gnarly and you buy a hell loop day yeah. Linda is as always really great. Keenan says I really liked the therapy scenes from this episode. Dr Linda is so wisn comforting. And I agree you know even if she does sort of in a hey familiar with how this goes. I've treated Lucifer kind of way. Rushed to the point where she's like by the way it. Maybe something like this is maybe kinds of like is it like maybe can. We just skips a slightly beyond so yeah we can just move on a little bit because I don't WanNa do metaphors again. I did seasons of metaphors. And I'm GonNa say something that I think is innocuous you're gonNA take the wrong lesson from it and rush out the door before I can stop you. Kayak Kayak but don't worry we'll help you figure it out. Oh boy but yeah I mean I agree I think that Tricia Helfer was really wonderful in those scenes and and so was Rachel Harris And it was. I think very delicately handled and God. What a nightmarish loop. Just really awful. Which again living at Charlotte Richard. She was like you know. I'm just doing my job so I feel no guilt but obviously right and as no says sometimes. That's with her beating therapy sometimes. That's how you just go into therapy and I felt very not quite as it me as the books off because sometimes part of the reason you go to therapy is because you think of yourself as a machine that just needs to be repaired but when you're talking about your feelings and like how you process your emotion which is not how it works so. I appreciate it that scene. Lot One quick question before we wrap up. How did a mini deal? Fine able at all like I don't understand how that works. He's been following. He says he's been following Lucifer. And he better tracker because it was like Damazin and also Detroit trixie definitely made maze that box for keeping all her singles and right. Trixie made that box right. I was going to ask whose money was that are. We certain wasn't tricks. He's money. I mean I assume it is. What is she doing with our money from getting probably nothing to pay for drinks or anything because of Lucifer chefs to give it to Trixie for writing drunk? Making all those drawings ask Amanullah following Lucifer's so he probably saw Cain sorry able and followed him from the hospital. I guess but you news. Able to so yeah. He's he's been following and probably I've got I WANNA see you'll bugging the penthouse. You see where he's like putting no bugs all over the place putting under the bed. What do you think dad? Is this a good place for our bug? Yeah I think so too. Yeah that can either be really funny. He really got it or just really bad at it really funny like right on the TV where you can see this microphone. I mean based on the way the season is going. I guess he'd be really bad at it because he's really bad at everything but romancing Dr Linda. Oh Yeah I mean look at him. I watch this city of angels. So like a shirtless. What side is like in my head which is also like So this past weekend. We were watching the buffy series finale from my friends a podcast ninety eight From anniversary and few which is like so tiny. He's so tiny. He's a half half ideas now. He's he's very attractive but like he's so tidy so that was like. Oh Hello Hello Mr. What side I just imagine their development. Bit where the boom mic shows. That's deal Yup Yup. Well do we have any final thoughts on this episode and He didn't Scotty Marcus if you have. Any thoughts struck him in the chats. I have a question for you you because I know obviously you are. Not a bland. Fan would makes sense because pierce like pierced. The intentionally sucks. Yeah also yeah. How do you feel about Tom? Williams acting in this episode. Well when they let him do things it's better a he's not good at matterease and he's not. Yeah well it's because there's not a character there in the earlier episodes. I've really enjoyed him being a carriage. Why it's also intentional though because like when you see what like Kane is actually like. It's like okay. He's like putting this on. Yes and he's not a good actor. Kane is not a good actor and when you don't know any better it just translates as Tim. Willing is not a good actor. Ed because you don't have any other information to you know to compare it with and some actors are can really do that mysterious thing and the thing really really well and I don't think that is willing strikes. I think he's better at some of the comedy his whenever they let him be either exasperated or petty. He's he's much much better much more entertaining. And it's like okay. I see what you're doing here but I also don't think what we've seen so far what we've gotten so far of. Cain as a character does not make any to me from the little bits of information we've been given I don't think track I don't get any sense that he's actually lived forever. I don't think they've earned that besides just telling us that happened. I don't see it in the performance aside from general wanting to be dead and being bored and I don't feel like there was enough thought put into that and most of that is in the writing for me but then without the writing to without more to go off of that really limits. What you're actor can do and some actors can just do a lot with that and in filling the gaps and find the interesting things to do and some actors are not going to be able to transcend that. And so. That's where I think wellings have been stuck. I will say because I don't quite agree with you but obviously that doesn't matter. Yeah so we oh yeah but I will say I don't that's that's the actual issue. I think I don't think he was like told to play pierce as mysterious like just straightforward. Boring is what I think but because we know what the show is an that there has to be a twist. That's why we kind of read it like will. He played mysterious even though. That's not the case you know. And that's where I think the issue comes in for at least for the the quote unquote. Here's of it. All Pre came. Reveal you know Well been for me. It's not even that it's like when you're watching we're watching TV show so if a character is boring it doesn't make sense unless that is supposed to be the point of it because we wouldn't be spending time with it because no one on the show is boring. That's why because well because we we don't watch born characters on TV unless it's a comedy like that's making that unless it's what we do in the shadows and that's what they're doing. Tom Robinson Right. Like unless there's a reason captain basically he's not be. Captain Whole Sopher Khloe Love Triangle. That's the show I would. I would ship. I wish it halts khloe dynamic much more than anything. We've got you talking about her heavy boots or large pendulous. Yeah should Keane. Says he's not a mysterious bruder. It's not in his. I enjoy him a lot more intrigued with Lucifer and maize less. I was calling and Dan and I agree he just means a day and while Dan technically deserves it. We don't acknowledge Palmetto. Bush is being you can also says I also think Breeding Lucifer..

"I kinda WANNA watch that. But I'm also stole intrigued by this concept of a not unkillable and also not immortal dies. He just comes back. And I don't know quite the right word for that Man Who's been walking the earth for six thousand years or however long and has read Moby Dick six times. It's six of my brain and Hindu. There's something really that you can dig into their about the the sadness in the depression and like the weight of that. I don't expect the show to do that but I keep. I'm trying to give the show the space to maybe surprised me I don't think that they're going to want them to. Because I think that there's a lot of stuff to dig into about like having lived forever also being someone who committed the first cardinal sin the second Carlson basically with in terms of Judeo Christian theology sky says. I just wish the cane storyline was the story they've been telling about this whole convoluted rogue protege murder thing and yet. I agree and yum like yeah everything you're saying no is very interesting and it's like where doing that. Yeah no this is this is why should hire me as a story editor but not as because. I don't have the patience for that. I mean know the the cane story is they're telling it here is also sort of the prometheus story in a sense. His torment is to live with this pain forever. Only instead of eating it's liver is that he's just walking the earth and every time he dies he comes right back and that does sound like Hell Hell on earth for sort of. Yeah of course he wants to die. That is so much more interesting than mysterious figure kidnapped me and then I got wings and then my devil by the way. Why can't just call it his face or his true face every time. Thomas Says Devil Delphi's very seriously I have like I really. It's it's a leap that I have a hard time making every time because it devil face is not a particularly serious term Anyway it's it's so convoluted it. Feels like such filler? And is Phil Now. We know is filler right. The centerman thing matters basically zero. The whole point of this story is he moved here so that he could be around Khloe so that he could die and he kidnapped Lucifer so that Lucifer would be out of the way so that he could die. Although I will say couldn't have just been like. Hey I want book a giant Party at Lux here is the party. I'm throwing at Lux Khloe. Do you WanNa go out for coffee. And then just throwing himself I feel like maybe could make a deal with me and I help him to this in a slightly less convoluted way. I'm not sure he needs to make this complicated or you know. Just like take some poison. In his t while instead said network. Yeah you know. That's a very good point or like he's surrounded by weapons right. They work in the same office he could. He don't care what people think of him he could go. I don't WANNA be flippant about self harmony away but yeah it. It's very the the if the goal is to no longer exist and the ingredient necessary to make that happen Khloe decker. There are lots of ways lots of ways to make that happen and actually answered a of those things you're wondering about but I can't say his lawyers are so some of the things that you guys are wondering about. There are actually are reasons for whether or not you guys are like whether they are satisfying the they make sense. That's the conversation we will have later in the season But Yeah Charlotte Richards Emma sock about that epic coffee poor. Because I like we've been sort of on the fence about the Charlotte but for me worth it just to watch her dress down Kane and like the little moments that they gave him up like. Oh I don't doubt it you're like awesome thing it's like no you don't get that you don't get to be aware and like appreciate how. How awesome she's being in this moment. 'cause you're not good enough for that does like five ten is talking. Yes I think the moments grade and I but then it's undercut for me by knowing that coffee is terrible so it's not a huge loss. See I think it still works because it looked like it was the last of the coffee which means he has to make more which everyone knows is absolutely drawing. The short Straw in a shared office setting saw guests like Like I I always just made T. because I don't drink coffee so screw you guys. Well it is. It's a very minor pain in the ass that you do your very best to avoid and then always do. If you're not an asshole you always then make yeah. The nice talking is like the one time I've worked in an office environment that had like that kind of stuff. I was always the person refilling like the water pitcher restocking cans into the fridge for like the liqueur is even though I don't treat the Lacroix and all this stuff. I did that stuff anyway because I like doing it so even though I didn't drink coffee over it actually probably still make a fresh pot but I I would do it happily because I know people need coffee. But also coffees curse. See this makes me think of two of my favorite office redheads. I is Paul proctor who gets very mad about the ice trays and says what man did this. Yeah not no on did this But also to Charlotte and not the coffee The what it reminded me of was like an epic Joan Harris. Take only in the right direction right like not. It's not aimed at Peggy. It's not aimed at its wolves like she's aiming it at one of the men on Madman Only inst- instead it's one of the men here. It was very like perfectly correct and mean in a like a dignified way unrestrained but control just great. I loved I loved that scene and I loved her advice to l. I just good good episode for Old. Charlie Richards Scotty says I have ice trays shaved pin. That says what man did this in Scotty. Nice that's we'll do. We have any final thoughts about this episode any questions. He like things were wondering about. At this point I was proud of Khloe for continuing to underline that maybe Lucifer was being selfish into jackass but really appreciated well. No this case is important to you. So it's important to me because we're partners like that felt really Natural and earned. It doesn't mean that he's not also a jackass but like I liked that I mean. He just ruined her desk. I know don't ever reorganized. Someone's desk without their permission. Holy Crap the filing system very funny but widely inappropriate. The writings ruining everything. I was like I it. Me Guises clueless whole vibe drinking on the beach in cute flats. Integrate Blouse in glasses was enviable. Definitely she looked great. She was laying up feeling. It was great. This is an undercover operation. I can get behind. We realize Oh. Her fanning herself with that sign was just like so petty. It was willing making the table out of the other. One like really the pettiness. This there was a lot of really satisfying pettiness in this episode. Yeah Marcus's I wish. They still had astros blade because I think that could solve the whole thing yet. Done too bad that they tossed it into another universe. Technically doesn't exist anymore. Because of the crossover I don't know I don't understand anything. I hope that they are going to at least stab him with mazes blades. Because Mazes kill angels. So you'd think it's at least worth trying and then maybe we'll get another like the leaf off of a tree moments Had something but now it's gone. I can't remember what it was. I really did like els shirt. That southern thing was really really good out. You got it I do. I don't like the episode title. It should have been detective date. That's what this episode should have been called Detective Day. Not all about her. Yeah Yeah Khloe. Detective Decker chloe chloe. The detective decker. Yeah I agree. Don't either them more interesting? Yeah Next week week ten. And we'RE GONNA be talking about a season three episode thirteen until death do us part so theories. I'm guessing something really bad happens. Little wedding again like is another. Zombie wedding gets ruined I was also thinking about weddings. But that's because the legends rewatch yesterday reached the end of crisis on earth. X which means that Scotty witness The I mean I was trying to come up with a word. That isn't scary but I'm just GonNa say that is soliciting and Oliver Hijacking. Berry says about that. I'm still like it's been three years. I'm still actively injury about them. Just being like it's already now to know up yet. Also you have a child. Maybe your child wants to be at your wedding details. Just theory is the theory. Yeah as someone who has played in a lot of weddings in in movies and books like the double wedding thing is always put forward is really charming and lovely and it is in pride and prejudice where it was planned as such Yup. It's that's the only one. That's the exception proves the rule one. It's fine and Shakespeare because it's like the end of the play so it's fine. It's Mary that's how doesn't everyone does a little dance. It's it doesn't work here and it makes me angry. Still Marcus says all about her as title will work much better. If it was actually referring to EIB yeah definitely and also when you watch the shows in been form it. What do you do when you get to the crossovers? Watch all the episodes from each of the series involved. Nelson? Yeah so Yes that's what we're doing. Which makes it a little bit of a pain in the ASS for the NETFLIX's party But sure but it's worth it Also very fun for Keenan. I'd be like by the way Scotty. That's who this is. Then she's like I still have no idea. I'm just going to let this wash over me. I think we're actually even going to watch the next crossover. Which is the one that the legend skip just so like the in jokes. I'll make sense plus it'll be more satisfying when the legends. Then start making their man. I'm glad we missed the crossover. Like I love those jokes. So don't feel so good. I love him I love him. Anyway he has the tell me who the people are every eight seconds and yeah and but imagine you can actually remember better than like backing. Game of thrones like Bearded person desists so like you know. Yeah definitely superfund okay. Well do you guys want any information be want any teases about the neck serve. You want to go on blind blind alleys. It's fine I look forward to our conversation about. It's not my favorite episode or anything but there are some fun stuff so I look forward to your thoughts. Please text away. I assume that means there's trixie content. I don't remember trixie counted. There may be. I don't think so. Most of the bulk of the episode spent with two characters interacting That usually I'm not excited to see interact so and You may fun context there. Yeah that's nice in vague to. I'll leave it there. Thank you got markets for hanging out in Zuma's today and for your thoughts and always appreciate you guys and we'll be back next week by friends. Wedding get dumped you would just why would you do? Just don't just don't do it by..

"It's been a roller coaster of ride our adventure with Lucifer season. Three you're on the PODCAST But excited because for the first time this season we are joined by front of the Letroy Ferguson. Ferguson of the show and noted lose for expert Leterrier Ferguson. So welcome back to the PODCAST. Thank you for joining us. And is there anything that you've wanted to shout at the podcast for the past several episodes? Yeah I guess as I watch the I wanted to show up for both welcome back. Charlotte Richards End Kenny. Morningstar work calls like at the same time both episodes that relates to talk with you guys and I couldn't Mesut Let's see you guys talk about wardrobe. I told Kate probably different wardrobe department because of the move from Vancouver to allay see. She has notes. I have no. I have not addition to my episode. I know. See No you ask. Why appears make Dan the Union Rep? Will he'd been told chloe that that's jobs for has been so that's exactly why he did. It can talk about that yet. How this episode? The try as the resident smuggle expert also the podcast. I can say tumbling was never. This stiff on smallville. Never I think it's very much a directing thing like a choice basically for the character and for him and also just like Videos with like Tom Welling Tom. Tom and Tom both six three actors. Which is like riding a Unicorn I guess. And just like watching their back and forth bantered. So it's like it's not just some wellings personality things so yeah it seems like it was very much a director choice for him to become the plan as you guys call him. I will say when I was onset when they were filming three Tomonori wrapped of the seasons. I did not get to him. But against We'll tell me I met everyone else though. Delightful cool does such a strange thing like good chemistry between the actors and under like okay. We're start filming now. Don't be interesting. Like landline yeah. I know why because you know literally and I've seen this season so not like reasons that they might make choices like that for the character but like dumb dumb reasons and let's see one more clue. sorry Biggs with some radish episode note is that I love it. The ugly clown painting from good desire is still there. He kept his promise and kept painting and He covers his safe with yeah. I didn't catch that. That's amazing. Yeah well we are talking here about episode As a seven off the record in knowle. It's your turn to say called it. Oh which part of my call is this the episode about journalism? Oh it is. But it's not an episode about now about journalism it has a Durham. Yeah yeah take the win. What did you think of this episode? So I really really liked this episode for a couple of reasons one of the top reasons being Patrick Fabian. Who is just one of those guest actors that shows up on anything and you're meeting like all right. A. N. B. I'm in for a good time because Patrick Fabian of T- terrific terrific television actor And it was what I will. I can't really funny was about halfway through the episode. I was thinking to myself Man Patrick. Fabian Ba- grading like a anthology series of some kind and part of this in my brain because Partners watching the twilight zone right now and it was just like really good in the twilight zone. He's just got look and everything and then I feel like that my partner again to a slight like conversation about this last night. I feel like this is loose doing twilight zone episode just with Lucifer stuff in it And I was just like it. Ha- I was right. I was right about this too so I really like so. I think it's really good. I think it's a good way of just doing something.

"Welcome back to you. Streaming and place It is weak age. We are on Lucifer's season three episode. Five welcome back Charlotte Richards and Welcome back Lucifer. Because I know I've said this already but Mr Smith was a taste of what the show is and much better than the rest of the season. But it was definitely its own thing. It was our special amaze episode and the last seen the previous episode was like. Oh this is what the show is like break. They can be good again. When and in this episode feel like Lucifer. This is the show that we've been watching and it's so wonderful to have it back and I don't think it's a coincidence that the show is back not only because the tenant land is gone but specifically because Tricia Helfer is back now playing Charlotte's not mom welcome back Tricia helfer welcome back show richards not a moment too soon. Even sooner would have been better. How do we feel about this episode? Everyone oh I loved it I mean everything you just said Ray. I assume we all sort of thought the same and welcome back Lucifer joke because I for sure did where I was like. Thank God oh my God. What a breath of fresh air My first thought is that whoever is working on the TV Hall of fame for actors who play multiple characters on the same show Needs to like slightly reprogram the Tatyana Mas Lonnie Room so that Tatyana Tricia Helfer share it Because I mean this isn't orphan black and neither was battle star Galactica but I feel like this. Plus Battle Star GALACTICA might approach orphan black levels So big just really astounded. I mean just halfway through the episode Nola Tech's like Fuck Tricia Helfer Goddamn. She's so good. I texted her like a third of the way the episode went. Dan is having the worst King Day born Dan. I'm sure we'll talk about Dan but for but for now. I WANNA stay. I just I don't know if it's that I'm very curious. Didn't let me let me put it this way. I'm very curious to know all the inside baseball stuff from Latakia when she rejoins US tomorrow. Friday which Friday is Frederick Great Because I'm curious what order the episodes were written in if there was some sort of behind the scenes other than the pregnancy that made for this dramatic shift in tone and quality up to this episode. And then this return to form. Which really is what it feels like so. I'm curious about all of that. But at the very least it seems like this writing staff loves writing TRICIA Helfer And whether it was always the plan to bring her back at Charlotte Richards or it was just so good in the previous season that they finagled this character. Back on the show whichever the case It's incredibly satisfying. And what a useful performance aside. What a useful relationship for the TV show have for to have someone to talk to. That is like a walking talking breathing consequence of his decisions and of the decisions of his family Who grappling with the things. He's grappling with in real time and who is aware even if she doesn't quite know accept who he is. Who is aware of the existence of hell and can meet him almost where he lives without all of the family baggage like what an incredibly useful relationship. Those conversations were fascinating so I'm very very optimistic about where the show is headed after this and mostly just really enjoyed watching all of the characters but particularly Charlotte Richards and Lucifer navigate this new normal and yeah poor damn his putting the had to cover his pudding as twice the protein guys. We're to talk about the pudding we are. GonNa talk about the swear jar intricacy bowl you're also similarly happy to have a Tricia helfer Richard Speck. Oh absolutely unfurl. The reasons alison already laid out I think that one of the other things that I was really happy about. This episode is the fact that there's again more time given to like these kinds of conversations that again. This season has been slowly backing away from especially in the early first two episodes particularly And to a certain degree in the episode that preceded this like they're they're good conversations in there but nothing is media as the ones that happened here whether it's in the in Lucifer's Penthouse or in charlet spent house in which she has to become a merlot drinker because she bought thirty cases of wine. That's a lot of mine that she has to go through now she should just resell it. And I think that both of those kinds of conversations are things that I wasn't expecting the show to get back to based on the first two episodes until lesser extent the episode for so having those. They're really made a big difference but then having them also be a through line to the climate of the episode in the Confrontation. With the yogurt. People of like I need to wash all my hands of all of this and I need to the only way I can feel like do this is to do another reprehensible act and I find that just really compelling from a how much is my guilt. What is my guilt? I have to be better but I don't know how to get out of it and that's just a deeply human thing to give us after Charlotte hasn't been human basically for what we know of. Charlotte hasn't been human. Because she's been mom so I think having that kind of pivot to a very deeply human very deeply confused Charlotte is really really important but also just really good for the show because then it recon it helps contextual is everything with Lucifer while of him grappling with emotions and versus zone like sauce. Deal devilish impulses so I think there's just a lot of really really good character in this episode that pays off up dividends both from last season but also stuff that we just kinda needed right now in this season everything with Charlotte as like. Oh this is my favorite scene for her and then the next one if they go no. This is my favorite safer throughout the entire episode The performances really strong but especially the scenes with Helfer and LS. I think really really work. And the I mean from the the comedy the comedy of her jumping to like the immediate pivoted to pain in sorrow and confusion. They handle those tones just right. They balanced that so so well through you know eventually you know her talking about hell and him giving her the support that he can and that that she needs she so badly needs through that Into all the rest of the like it. It seems like there's such a clear Through Leonard this is what's GonNa be. Okay we got it. And then the twist and the anger and confusion that comes with that the desperation like the delivery of. I can't go back there. The they have done so well in the show with just a few representations of what hell is like of really giving it legs of really earning these dramatic moments. I think it all goes back to that scene. Uriel in season two but the differences. We've gotten they have earned moments like that and taking that moment of confusion loss in how what do I possibly do have just made it worse than just you know digging deeper into what we go at the end the end for me was all about Lucifer because obviously from the pilot he has relationships that are meaningful to some extent with humans. Like he's got humans that he likes more than others. You know like the singer and the pilot. He has a soft spot for was rooting for an all of echo stuff. But really it's not until chloe that he actually gets invested in everybody on the show you know he's met through her and he's you know. Dr. Linda is a really important relationship. Close a really important relationship in now. Charlotte is too and this is the first relationship where he doesn't stand to gain from it in any meaningful way. At least in my opinion. It's just about him wanting to help someone and to help her because he cares about her and also he knows that there are not many people who can help her and he feels beholden to her That's such a different dynamic. Then his relationship with Dr Linda which is very endearing and very genuine but also very driven by at least initially helping him and his relationship with chloe which is completely different so late like said Alison adding in this character in this way gives them so many more things that they can play and it shows such a such a refreshing change and development for the character of Lucifer. That I'm very excited for what confessed. I think one of the things that was striking about it is it wasn't just like Oh Lucifer Sheffield's Lucifer again. It was also loose for the feels like Lucifer again. Like complex and curious and conflicted and he makes mistakes but he's not necessarily always willfully being jackass which is what the last several episodes felt like. It was really really really refreshing and it you know. I'm sure that I'm projecting but it sure felt like Like Ellis was appreciative of being able to play the character again and not some weird sketch version of the character. Yeah we need to make sure. We don't forget to talk about for details like Dan his pudding and tricky and her swear jar. So where are we where we going? I guys well. I think I learned discussed the pudding just a little bit because as considering everything else this up does well the fact that they think that a pudding manufacturing plant looks like the place where the joker was born is a problem. It really does. Oh my God it really does. It looks like Harley Guede is.

"To the television streaming. And we're GONNA talk about Trish Helfer de data that staying in and we're starting to podcast with that. So Hillary one place it's Doug Loses for season two episode three Sin Eater and yet. Let's just kick it off right there allison more Tricia. Helfer and it sounds like you're on board. What did you think all? I'm I'm low key. Obsessed paused in the middle of the episode yesterday entered by partner. And I was like this shouldn't work at all but it really really does and it does. Because she's so good she's so good and it's not. I haven't forgotten exactly because it's Her Performance Ambassador Galactica goes on the and this one is slightly more controversial. Living goes on the January Jones. Good and madman list of Takes that I don't think should be hot but that people are always like really like yeah. You're confusing a beautiful blonde woman with a bad performance. Like I don't know what to tell you. Like the fact that she's very beautiful does not mean that she's not also acting so Anyway Yeah she's Great. She's I had not forgotten how good she wasn't balanced but it was nice to be reminded knew that she's so that she can do this. Really tricky tonal stylistic. Steph and really make it work because it feels it should feel incredibly mannered. It should feel show boaty. It should feel If not insincere at least like it's a broad strokes thing and it never does it feel so honest and committed I'm really enjoying it. She steal for me at the moment. At least she's stealing looser away from Tom. Ellis a little bit. Who still very good but like man. You know what I was thinking about. Was that the. This is less of a stretch for her than it would be other people because she has experienced playing someone. Who's not how they appear in new to being human? I am also one of you and so in. That wasn't what six was for much of the run and the various different six that she played of of Battle Star but there were definitely versions of characters that she played that were more and less acclimatized to humanity. And and so like you can see when you're watching a performance some elements of that in the performance. And then some things that are completely different. And so it's fun with that context like appreciate. Just just what she's doing. Yeah I'm certainly enjoying it. Null hasn't working for you. It's working really well. I think one of the things that you're both touching on is the sort of like how she's able. How helfer through Charlotte is able to the different layers of this person? The celestial being and how they're navigating being enemies back from this idea of the food goes in the mouth but then it comes out as something that is not food and it's worse and it's worse. I think there's a like that's not the best line in the world. I feel like it's funny but it also just like it feels like it needs a Polish somewhere but the Polish comes in the performance. Really timing of the doors and the door right exactly you like and we're closing this conversation. Lucifer doesn't want to have it in either. And I think that makes a big difference in both how we understand what mom is going through but also how helpers really conveying a lot of that in just vocally an totally but. I also think that. There's lots of really good stuff in. How helpers able to find like layers of what I feel like our genuine senses of both vulnerability like with her scene with a minute deal but also just genuine like absolute frustration with the idea of my punish. Their punishment is to stay here. But there're kids I don't want to deal with kids and I really appreciate the through line of the fact that celestial don't like children I think that's just great but then to have that realization of I can slam people into the sides of buildings and just the ways in which both of those feel perfectly of a piece of this character. I think is all health. Her and I really really appreciate that. And I do agree with you Alisonville. I think that there is a degree to which she's take stealing the show from L. Tom Ellis's performance to degree. But I also think that LSS very wisely stepping back in his scenes with her to give her that space to do that because one of the things. I've always like really responded. To is the best actress of the ones that give space for other actors. And it's kind of the reason why like a lot of people and this is a weird cut to draw but a lot of the reason why I was always really by people who are just like Ethan. Hawke doesn't deserve an Oscar nomination for training day and I just went. No he absolutely does because without Ethan Hawke that Denzel Washington performance almost doesn't work. You need that side performance to make everything else fit into place and I think that's sort of what's happening here with Alice. And his helpers that he's giving a lot of space so that mom slash Charlotte feels like to have that space but also have that performance field both of peace. Hi Katie. Nancy drew just Washington. Free both fill up a piece of the show but also of a piece of like to give Helfer that space and I think that that's just really really important. That's really well said I think that's such a it's the The Dianne wiest quality. You're so good at making sure that everybody is set up to be amazing and then when it's your moment you step in like. I watched the birdcage this week. So she's on my mind but that's that to me is like a dying. We'd hallmark is knowing when to make space for other people and elevate their jokes Which then of course makes it even funnier when you arrive wars. So yeah and speaking of Jokes Tricia. Helfer is also just very funny Which is not equality that often happens in battles so watching the two of them together. I think is and it's fun watching Lucifer be the Khloe in the Lucifer. Khloe relationship where we're Charlotte Lucifer. And then yeah it's It's just a great dynamic. Kate how are you feeling about it? Oh It's Super Fun. I'm really I'm really digging it. And just like again. The balance of the writing the character and the performance the like when she's figuring out bars and fun that's delightful kind of back and forth and then Just makes me look forward to her interactions with the rest of the people. We've barely gotten to see her. Interact with including managerial including Just you know like what we get here with her. Immediate think. It's terrific. I've also really really enjoying woodside. Performance in your SMS. Glad they're giving him so much to play the watching him be like drunk and completely lost his purpose and like very out of it. Amended deal is so It throws the energy of Hussein so completely for a loop I I really dig it and having Having maize mazes terrific and really perceptive when the plot needs to be but also entirely believably self involved or just. It's just like exactly the same as the thing with Dan where she's like. But I put you naked in her bed so that your guys together. I mean those works for me In here the same thing just assuming that it was the same you know dynamic here. I really bought it. I liked what we were getting out of that scene. I liked what we got with amenities on mom later and I think I would prefer a few like one. Fewer a high scheming moments to the camera for mom but otherwise. I'm very much on board with it. what her? Yes feeling about the. Oh and the other thing that I think is a bit much but did you guys catch that that line about how Charlotte Richard used to be a cop and now she's a defense attorney so all the cops know her in her so already it is like what's what's this is not established in the previous episode. But okay if we're going to explain why she's here. I don't know that was a bit much for me. Yeah that's A. It's a hell of a wreck on like it doesn't doesn't make it. Just I the and also unnecessary because they've already established that all she has to do is like walk out of doors and say. Hello. Please do this thing for me. Because she's Tricia Helfer. It just happens. Just show the police station be like greetings fellow humans and then they would all swarm you on yeah knoll thoughts and what my thing with the recon is less the fact of. She's a cop who's now lawyer. But that's that was their default sort of deal of how to keep her sort of in the mix for everything is she's both as you could've done something else. I feel like as opposed to falling onto another insert into the judicial process. Basically and I understand that it's a cop show so having another angle on the judge. Judicial System Helps justify keeping her around but it also just it keeps you limit your scope. I feel like a little bit there and I feel like doing something else that I would have kept her circulating in some other fashion either as a reporter or something else to provide a different sense of this world. I think would have been really really helpful. Yeah I don't believe for a second from the liberal. We've seen about her life like who Charlotte it was and it's like for including her like her mansion and her Lou batons and like yes. It's possible that that was you know. First of all shirt may be. That's just there are plenty of cops that WANNA have those fabulous shoes in like that Wardrobe and everything and those mansions who go beat. Make no money as a cop. Comparative to their jobs With the jobs asking them and then go. I think I'll go into a law degree. I mean it just doesn't make any sense And I'm willing to give shows especially shows that I'm like digging and have this like edge with us kind of I'm willing to give them a lot but I am just like I'm just right coming out of my brain. We're we're good now. She just knows from being around there as a defense attorney and she's gorgeous really likes her like NGOs funny and like Yeah I. I'll just go with that and ignore the whole was a cop thing Scotty says just the just the IT takes to go to law school and then develop a whole practice of your own and become a big fancy deal. How many would still be around? Who Remember yes one hundred percent. Yes yeah so yeah. I'm having some trouble with that but Do you have any thoughts on the amenities stuff we get here and like how? That's how that's going for you. I'll say what I said yesterday. Which is that. It's just such a nice change to watch. Tv Woodside actually something to play Besides like Lucy you know stuff. It's a big big improvement in that regard And I think it's an interesting point. A conflict that southers remain very distressing visually.
