Galaxy Note 20 Ultra review: Everything we love -- and don't -- so far

"Bunch. So renew was coming. It's all official now. So Galaxy note twenty, no twenty old tra- you have ultra I doubt we will ever get our hands on the no twenty because no one should buy it Ultra Tim has galaxy watched three actually have one of those or here doubts on in two sizes Galaxy Buds live, which we will just call the galaxy beans little being ear buds neither of US have those I don't know that we're going to. Like, you're satisfied with the buds plus I like these I dunno like the only don't know how they go in your ear. the beans are official and then the Galaxy Tab, a seven seven, plus which we also don't have because we haven't reviewed at android tablet like seventeen years Those are official although they do look really really good. We talk about those for just a brief minute if we want to and then finally they showed off the phone that I will sell everything in my house to buy in that will be the galaxies Z fold. To Oh. Yeah. So we'll save that for a minute. Let's let's talk. No Twenty, nine, twenty ultra. Cool start here so They announced There's two phones obviously ones Nice. The Ultra One's not so nice. The regular note twenty I'm being extra critical here because. Samsung wants to charge a thousand dollars for the regular one. The, ultras thirteen hundred. The regular one has a ten eighty p sixty hertz display in a plastic body and they want a thousand dollars for IT I. I know there's other stuff going on here. They packed all the other stuff in it, but those two things certainly do not scream. Thousand Dollars to me No. But. They did do that. So It's available for preorder. Now, Bulfon's actually we are. Now They Arrive August twentieth or twenty first somewhere in there and everyone has them. There's unlocked models. There well, I should say the ultra a while it is a huge phone and I don't think I could use the thing. It's got kind of everything again right although. The storage at one hundred, twenty, eight Gig that lower than last year's like did the note ten plus days was to fifty six yeah. So they dropped that it does quite easy. Display Hundred Twenty Hertz, which is which is sweet snapdragon need sixty, five plus five g twelve gig Ram five, twelve, top tier storage hundred, twenty Gig on the low end and yeah I think that's kind of step backwards. we got way too many cameras including one, hundred, eight megapixel big I. Laser autofocus forty, five, hundred, million power battery. I know that still large but the ultra I think that's twenty. Five thousand south slightly smaller but you do have an aspen. The spend has like super low latency and stuff, right? It's like the fanciest s date and this. What else we have stereo speakers you have ms again for Samsung pay of course Oh we don't have the super fast charging rate like the. Thirty five or whatever it was from last year like that's not back. So it's like they took away a couple of. We have like an upgraded superfast charging to dotto or something I can tell you the team last year. But like remember they were it was like a forty five watts like a forty five watts Samson charger. Discipline one either doesn't support that or they're just not maybe not including it. It's something weird like that. So shocked kind of it seems like they kind of took away a couple of things to keep the price is still thirteen hundred dollars sound like they cut any corners here no either way it's a it's a pretty crazily specked out found. It comes in the mystic bronze which Tim has everything comes in mystic bronze. There's also a black and then there's also a white version Of course, they send you the mystic bronze because they're so proud of mystic bronze I don't know.

You see the slasher out your. Their lives. I can. Carry? Them would have died I couldn't have posted it. Had this scroll through all my other videos to find out a comparable to find out that they were doing good something. We've got some cool ally interesting news about The McLaren announced that well, the Gordon Murray announcement that we wanted to get into. So we sort of got this job. So we can I hit that before we get started. Just, another word from our friends at Dodd's it's A. IT'S A it's time for dodge power dollars and that means for every horse power. You get ten dollars off your purchase on dodge challenger Dodge Charger and Dodge Durango come in and save dodge power dollars for pretty sweet deal. So as we As we are sitting down to record this. There's some news that's out there, and of course, the most interesting stuff that we're finding is Gordon Murray finally took the wraps off his. Off his new SUPERCAR, his t fifty supercar, Gern, Gordon Murray very famously designed a series of f one cars had a relationship with the Clarendon did the McLaren won Three Seater Central Driving Position Car I love that car bill I know you love that car it's sort of a wishlist amongst us all. I'm sure everyone who had an opportunity to get one at one point kicking themselves now because they keep going up thirteen, million, eight, hundred, million in life be knocked twenty million dollars going nuts So there was a great video presentation that came out. With Dario Franceschini taking a touring ordinary designs during Gordon, Murray on a moto and they took the wraps off this car and It's it's. It's pretty it's pretty cool. Gordon Murray's thing has always bands. About lightweight and from this car from. The initial design in his head all the way up to what it is. Now he said a goal of no more than one thousand kilos in weight and he hit nine eighty I believe puts it somewhere around twenty one, hundred, seventy, maybe twenty one, hundred, seventy, four pounds. This is extremely lightweight way in in. Today's world. Under twenty two hundred pounds. Of. A modern day car it. The Way to do that. And explain it when you go and you watch the videos, you read the press about it. Is. You have to design this thing from the ground up. With weight savings in mind every single step of the way, the the CAR IS MONACO CARBON FIBRE the entire bodies carbon fibre everything. That could be carbon. Fibre is carbon fiber of. The the engine he went to Cosworth and said, it needs to be naturally aspirated. It needs to be the twelve. It needs to be lightweight. needs to sound fantastic and it needs to be naturally aspirated. Of course, right? So. What they came up with was three point nine Liter v twelve. Six hundred and fifty, four horsepower. Three hundred and forty four pound feet of torque again small. You Know Small Displacement High Ramming twelve thousand one hundred RPM match. Enjoyment. You know I've A. Peak power is at eleven thousand, five, hundred dollars God, and the power to the Torah curved the I think the peak torque is around nine thousand. RPM. So between nine thousand and not red line of eleven five that thing just must sound insane and. Just skewed. Now, he didn't release any performance specs yet because Gordon Murray's thing is like I tell you zero to sixty whatever. But everyone's GonNa go after that intestine. beat it. Becoming a home carer during a pandemic

"3.3 million home health workers such as nurses, therapists and personal care AIDS provide a range of medical and daily living services to nearly 12 million people around the US, However, the covert pandemic is putting pressure on this workforce already in crisis due to shortages. Especially in some states that are experiencing an increase in covert cases. Alexandra Harrell is the founder of an organization called Patty and Ricky. And she offers tips on how family members can assist their loved ones during their new role as a caregiver during the pandemic really hard time for individuals with disabilities or chronic health conditions, illnesses they're scared that people home health care is coming to their homes. Because they're scared to Kobe and many family members have decided to have their family members were just abilities, chronic condition their elderly parents live with that. So there's a lot of new caregivers right now. And those, of course, are being experienced. You know the new caregivers that they're not used to this, I guess because they're they're usually out at work or wherever they go every day. And so now they're at home with the person who needs to care right? Because they're new to the caregiving, which is a new role for them can be really challenging at first. You know they used to having maybe they're assisted living facility, which many have been throughout the country, so it's just been a really hard time, but I do have some chips. Kind of support papers up. I was a kid, my mom Patty, Patty, Patty, with my mom. Okay? And he was really fashionable. Really Cool on me. What? Brain cancer. When I was 19 years old. It was just me and her and I came home from college and so caretaker. And it wasn't during a pandemic so he can be difficult. But it's not. You know, it was definitely a challenging time. But you know, I have some things that really supported me. You know terms of looking at our home environment, for instance, you know the home environment accessible of safe. Always you could. You know with that, with grant bars and anti slip mats in the shower, shower chairs, really thinking about how can you take her home and they get more accessible for your family members? So that was something that was really helpful to me. And I just made my mom being ableto navigate house in ways that She wouldn't have been able to otherwise so number one looking at your environment and you know, making a structure that had time and schedules for medication and Well in terms of medication. It's really important you set those alarms on the phones have printed a person's never lists. Doctor's phone numbers just like thinking ahead. That had to be I don't know the word daunting does it justice and I'd just be incredible. No, I was, um You know, my mom is such an incredible mama raised me to be able to take care earn raised me to be okay. You don't know her since she passed away when I was 20 But it was it was really challenging. But I didn't know it was important to you that during that such a hard time that me and my mom Joy way, laughed. A lot had been so sure to watch television and crafts or whatever, you know, walk around the block. Get some fresh air. It was back, and it was definitely really challenging. Um and I wish my mom wasn't 50 years old when she was nine, but I had to do it way early. Um, I'm really happy that I could give her Looks like it was actually a really positive end of life. So it was. It was really hard, but I need my company Toddy and Ricky after her. She was such a cool woman when she was here. I just wanted to bring together adaptive clothing. Dot com. We have don't clothing really easy. Holding a lot of customers during this time, a lot of care givers it No, I think it's really important to remember the Cherokee ever burn is a real thing and show your words have to be taking care of themselves, not guilty and having to order food. You're financially for shop for them a grocery store. Just different ways to utilize friend technology, Teo and for help if they need to make sure that you still care about taking care of themselves. BadPower Vulnerability In Fast Chargers Might Make Phones Halt And Catch Fire

"Right. Let's talk a little bit more about that. Multi phone thing I would keep talking about. All right, let's security researchers at ten cents Genre lab publish published a vulnerability in the firmware for fast charges that could lead to melting components or fires or other damage, fast chargers detect how much voltage device can handle and deliver the maximum safe amount bad power as they call the exploit tricks. The firmware into delivering more volts than is safe, an attacker would need. Need physical access to the charger for a few seconds or infect a smartphone or laptop, then infects the Charger Sean Wu's team tested thirty-five chargers and found eighteen of them were indeed vulnerable John Woo. contacted all affected vendors, however, eighteen of thirty, four fast charging chips analyzed couldn't be flashed with new firmware. Yeah, this is this is only for messing with people. Could turn into a vulnerability that that gets data somehow I suppose, but for the moment it's just a way to break phones Amanda Suppose, there might be some spy tactic where you want to stop someone from from contacting someone so you hack charged to melt their phone or something. But but there are also people who like to cause grief and that's. You know probably were this would would come about Tricia D. do you think this is something you're worried about? I'm not personally worried about it, but I totally see like. If we're going to put the tin foil hat on for just a second, I can totally see a major corporation sending people out to try to exploited all the chargers of a competitor, so they can be like us. The note seven all over again to bed. Your phone stink at Arthur awesome, but it was really like the secret conspiracy. Just hack all of their charters. Some cut corporate espionage. That makes total sense. What else would it be used for besides just trying to be a jerk, and the fact that that this like or like injuring someone legitimately injuring? Yeah, because it could cause a fire so you could you know? You might plan to cause a fire and maybe burn down somebody's house with us and there's a bad stuff you could do. I was not too worried about it when it said it could only. have access to the charter that that's easier to keep control. Other people leave bags out and stuff so normal rules apply there, but when I when they said it could be. Done through a militias. Phone Then it became something that I think more people have to guard against again. Best practices a don't download things on your phone from sources. You're not absolutely sure of apply just like any other kind of Malware I. Don't think you would see people doing this too often. And hopefully the folks who make these chargers will mitigate them, but it is disconcerting that some of the chips can't even be patched. So, if you have a fast charger, you might want to look up that vendor list and maybe replace your charger. And Update firmware church, or in some cases as well.

Will Dak Prescott Sign A Long Term Deal With The Dallas Cowboys?

"Prescott. There is two hours and fifty one minutes left until Dak, Prescott, and Dallas Cowboys can work in extension if not he will be under the franchise tag for the next season earning himself thirty one point four million dollars guaranteed. With the potential chance I, guess up after this season or get franchise tag again. He is now the third quarterback in the history of franchise tags and the NFL to play on the franchise tag. If that happens obviously before after four o'clock drew brees that it what the San Diego chargers. He leaves Don Kirk cousins, does it? What The Washington redskins twice? He leaves town, so history says Dak Prescott will play. This franchise tag may be getting again even but not in Dallas Cowboy long-term. If Your Dad, how do you feel? Do you pumped about thirty one point? Four million dollars guaranteed because if I'm looking at that piece of paper I'm like fucking here we go. Yeah. He's got to be torn. I would imagine I'm sure you're excited. Okay? I'm going to be the starting quarterback for the Dallas Cowboys for another year. MC, thirty one million guaranteed, but he doesn't feel like he has that long term security that he wants from the team. McKay. You think I'm your guy. You're willing to pay thirty one MIL for one year. Why doesn't that don't you think you should give me five six year extension and give me big time money for down the road? That's where he's gotTA. Be Thinking, but so if he doesn't do it today though. He will become a free agent. When the League year starts next March right now after the season they can negotiate. There's another window after the season before free agency to work a long term deal. I actually had that happened after I got franchise tag the day before free agency, we worked a five year deal or four year deal, so I never hit the market, but I was franchise tag the year before, so they could still potentially do that, but I guess I five year deal was offered to Prescott. Numerous Times but DAK wants a four year deal. Cowboys won a five year deal and we've been told by everybody around the cowboys and that knows the organization that that is literally. The only holdup is a one year difference so that's very interesting to me because it feels like there's it's much bigger than just a one year difference there. Thirty three to thirty five million dollars offered with over one hundred million dollars guaranteed, so if you look at that, they know that the cowboys won a five year deal that means three years of that deal was guaranteed. The other two were not locked in for five years as opposed to attack once for four, so everybody's assuming he's going to sign that deal. They're not going to get a deal done, but it's interesting because. He could potentially get thirty seven point four or something next year if he gets franchise tag thirty seven point nine if he gets franchise tag again I, don't see them running into the situation next free agency. I don't. There's no way that the franchise tagging him again they would. You would think they get the deal done I think that they're trying to see if he and Mike McCarthy going to work, I honestly believe that I think there's now granted. They made him one hundred million dollar guarantee already, so maybe I'm wrong in thinking

10 Best Crystals for Each of the Chakras

"We are going to be discussing crystals for the chocolate centers, and specifically we're going to dig into my ten best crystals, so the crystals I recommend most for each of the Chaka's so I'm going to just dive into a really quick crash course on. On the chocolate centers, so the chuckers are basically these energy centers that are found along the spine, and we have seven major talker centers, and these act like little power stations kind of pick up energetic messages from outside of your physical body, and then beam that information into your energy field from there. It's kind of interpreted by your physical and subtle bodies, your subtle bodies, meaning your mental, emotional and spiritual bodies, and so the shockers. If you think about them, the chargers are like these little satellite dishes that send and receive information from the universe now because there's this flood of energy constantly coming into the chalker centers, they can become imbalanced over time. And each Chakra is related to different physical areas of your body, different parts of your life, your emotions, and so when they become imbalanced in out of alignment. Feel that in that particular area of your life for your body or your emotions, so a great way to balance your talker centers and bring them back into alignment is by using healing crystals, so by placing crystals on your talker centers the healing vibration given off by that particular stone helps to bring not chocolate back into alignment. So that's really super quick. Look at what we're talking about when we're looking at balancing your Chaka's with healing crystals. So, what I really WANNA dig into in this episode are some of my favorite crystals for bringing each Chalker Center back into alignment. Now most of these are related to the Chalker based on their color vibration, because each talker center also resumes with a particular color, frequency or vibrational energy. Now I do WanNa just put a little caveat here. You don't have to always match the color of the crystal to the Chalker. Center there are tons of ways that you can correlate a crystal with the energy that's needed at a particular sacre, so don't feel like you have to be locked into these color correspondences. For example. This is something often. Tell my students in our talk balancing class for my crystal. Healing Certification Program. Take a look at something like your solar plexus Chakra when it comes out of alignment WANNA use traditional like a yellow or goldstone. But did you know the AMETHYST can also be really useful at this Chakra? The reason for this. Even though Amazon has purple in the Solar Plexus, Chaka yellow is because amethyst. has this really powerful connection to the intuition, the inner knowing higher consciousness and higher awareness, and the solar plexus stores, a lot of emotion stores, things like anxiety and worry and fear, and when we store too much of that kind of negative emotion, it can be overwhelming and bring that chalker out of alignment, but when you take. Take stolen like Amethyst, which is very high vibrational in connects us to our inner knowing it helps us get in touch with what's really our inner truth, and helps clear things like fear and anxiety and worried so although the solar plexus corresponds to the color yellow, an Amethyst is purple so not yellow. It's still a very powerful stone to us on this Chalker Center for bringing that Chalker back into alignment under certain circumstances. So today we're going to focus mostly on color correspondences, because they're really simple approach to talk balancing, but just know that this is not the end all be all just like all things in crystals always trust your intuition. If you're feeling called us a stone that I don't mention on these lists, and by all means listen to your inner guidance, listen to your intuition and use those other crystals.

Children are among the victims of July 4 weekend gun violence across the US

"Was a really violent one or in terms of shootings, gun violence in a number of cities across the country are going to break down some of the numbers just to give you an idea and, unfortunately included small Children. Across the country. A seven year old girl in Chicago shot in the head while she was playing with some friends. On Saturday. A 14 year old killed in a separate Chicago shooting Washington D. C. 11 year old boy shot and killed while running into the house to grab a phone charger. At least 24 people were shot in Atlanta on Saturday into Sunday evening for them died, including an eight year old girl. Who was driving in a car with her mom and a friend, and it has people like the mayor of Atlanta. Very, very concerned. We're fighting the enemy was in Well, we're shooting each other up on our streets in that sitting shot and killed a baby That is Atlanta Mayor Key shit. Lance bottom. She held a press conference after the shooting to talk about the tragedy. And if I'm not mistaken, Christina's she also at one point in time with in the past recent weeks. Talked about the need to defund the police department as well. Right? This is happening in other cities, this movement, obviously to defund the police department. And if you talk to police unions, they say that you know, morale is at an all time low among police department. That's awesome Video out of New York, where 11 people were shot and killed over the weekend of NYPD car rolling through a neighborhood as people just like tossed bottles at it, and the officers did not get out of the car. So apparently they disbanded this anti crime unit and a lot of the officers are retiring. There just their morale is low, and the union at least says This is part of the reason why we are seeing this crime spike that people are criminals are emboldened to come out because they know that they probably won't be arrested. "Cam noon has found a new home with none other than the New England patriots. While, this was a place that many people had suggested and thought about after his I think it was yeah. You least obviously after release. There was no. We figured if it was going to happen, it would have happened already, but I guess the pages take time. Do they do diligence? Make sure in fact that he was healthy 'cause he looks I mean some the work. Suppose he looks healthy, but you don't really now When Negga said there was no rush. It was like all right. He's a free agent. There's someone else assign. They can but if not, then we'll just be able to wait it out and I guess after once you saw how the dominoes kind of played out and says he didn't go to. The grisly inaugurnat the grizzlies while. That the chargers, the ninety plan the same town, so like that weird was say with with the chargers since he didn't sign there. was like honestly, where else was he? Never said that he wouldn't be better than some of the starting quarterbacks that are currently with their teams, but is when you look around and see. At look at the potential starting spot. That would be available this season. Every really want that many out there after again after his release, Efi begin the preseason beginning all season. MIROSLAVA different but. Time he got released. It was like there was only so many places he could go in. New England was one of them, though is one of those things where it was like you were just. Confused just because if you thought that he was gonNA, they were GonNa do it. You thought they would have done it already. But again took their time and he's still got the deal done. If. That was the guy that they wanted so. Cam noon again as I said reached a one year incentive, laden deal with new pages lead sources told ESPN ESPN Chris Mortensen Adam Schefter. Be Mixed with Jarret Stidham Brian Hoyer. To Rabih the I. Don't think necessarily be the heir-apparent only one year. So who knows you can be their past the season? But. "Get to any of your take that some US Open talk on on Serena. Social media to put up a video talking about what she's GonNa do when it comes to the US Open, tennis fans. This is good news directly from Serena's mouth. So this announcement has an on my mind all day, but ultimately I really cannot wait to return in New York. And play the US. Open twenty twenty I feel like us. Do! a really good job of ensuring like everything is amazing, and everything is perfect, and everyone is safe and. It's GONNA be exciting. It's been over six months since a lot of us. Play professional tennis, so it is I'll certainly miss the fans. Don't get me wrong. Just being out there and that New York crowd in here everyone cheer like I, really miss that and getting meet through some of those tough matches, but This is crazy. I'm excited. Now. That was put up on the US. Open instagram account Serena announcer. She'll play in the US Open that is caused some some conversation for all of us, but also the fact that the US. Open is going on scheduled. Doesn't everybody in the tennis world as excited curious, obviously went to twitter tweet S. M H which means shaking my head for any of you. That don't know people that live in the US of course are pushing. Pushing the open to go ahead, quote selfish, I'll get my has met suit ready for when I travelled from Australia and then have two corn team for two weeks on my return, so we've got a little bit of positive from Serena a little bit negative from Nick Curious. The question is what is Stephen. A Smith and Max Kellerman have to say about whether or not the US Open tennis term is should go on as scheduled. So, solely, you know. I guess I'm on. Nassar Television I just have to be careful I guess Malia. Careful he's getting on my damn nerves. Look put on a mask. Put on, some gloves engages social distant and handle your business. It's two weeks. It's two weeks. It's a tournament. It's what you signed up to do. Professionally. The US Ta is not implementing something. You know because they're not giving a damn about you. This is a global pandemic. Dad has just suffocated. Though world, everybody has had to deal with it. We are built on an economy for crying out loud. There are bills that have to be paid. There's money that needs to be generated because people have to live, and it's not just the athletes themselves. We know that. That you can't afford it and I'm not talking about that specific individual, but by and large professional athletes who are paid handsomely certainly more than the average Joe. Worldwide can afford to take time off. Sit Back, and you know whether it's a month or even years we can afford to. That is not the luxury. Ninety nine percent of our global population has at their disposal so as a result anything that generates revenue doesn't mean you ignore safety protocols. It doesn't mean you don't exhaust option to make sure and every avenue necessary to ensure the safety of the participants and beyond, but at some point in time you don't get. To actually have to go out there and work and hope that the medical professionals and leagues that that over you are working in concert with those folks listening to them and exhausting every safety measure imaginable, but you can't stop at some point in time. You have to move forward. You have to do that because that is the world that we live in no matter where you live that people just need to stop complaining about that. That's the reality I'm not saying it's great, but it's the reality. I take your take on ESPN RADIO ESPN APP. siriusxm channel eighty in ESPN news I'M NOT GONNA. Tell anybody they have to return to work. I'm not gonNa tell any athlete that they have to be comfortable. I, think at some point. We have to remember that just like some of the people that are in your life that may not feel like returning to work at the right point for them right, but right concept for them. They're going to be people in professional sports. Feel that way just because someone's a rich tennis player doesn't mean that they have an obligation to get back on tennis court simply to entertain you me or Stephen. Stephen a Smith. The fact is just because somebody plays in the NBA doesn't mean that they have an obligation to come back and do what you want them to do to be entertained. "Of all see what I was saying. Just what I was saying about black coaches you. At the charges and he's going to give a brother in Colin Kaepernick opportunity. You see how that works. That's what the kind of stuff that I'm talking about here now doesn't guarantee Colin Kaepernick job. They're still Cam Newton out. The believe deserve a job in the national football league obviously tyrod Taylor who you got your quarterback so certainly going to look at Colin Kaepernick indefinitely. You want to look at him. Because Philip rivers has been their fresh off a twenty interceptions, even to forty six hundred yards, but the bottom line is. He was slow as a snail with arthritis and snails. Don't get as meaning the brother Campbell so you need somebody like. Like cabinet that can at least run with the football because you know that's going to be a dual threat, what you're seeing from Lamar Jackson, which capable of seeing from the Shawn Watson and other. This is a beautiful beautiful thing. I'm happy about it. You obviously got Mike. Williams and Kim now need to throw the football to Henry haunted tied in, so that's a good deal out Anthony Lynn. Again is your coach. Our brother given an opportunity to brother. I kinda like it I. Like it a lot I. Wish Colin Kaepernick well. By the way took the words out of my mouth, Stephen A. isn't it interesting that in a city like Los Angeles? That with an African American coach Colin Kaepernick is getting a look and hopefully a fair shake that remains to be seen, and now he's going to have to make it on the merits as well which probably would have been easier to do several years ago, we'll see. But boy white people look bad again. I got shown up why? Don't people understand who turn a blind eye to racist structures in our culture in our society for lack of a better word. Don't they understand that this is what we are talking about the multiracial coalition of goodwill. Why does it take? A black coach to give capper Nick Shop. You think that's coincidental. The odds if that's coincidental. And if there were more African Americans in positions of power, starting with ownership, then executives GM's and such and then coaches. Do you think capper Nick really would have been out of the League for four years? Do you think the commissioner and the owners would have buckled? cravenly to political pressure like they did. Or was that not really buckling was that actually reflecting there will as well and they did it with if not glad hearts at least. Knowing that they weren't doing anything. They didn't want to do by drumming Cabernet out of the League. It makes. It makes those who argue the point. Look bad and good for Kapernick and good for Anthony Lynn and good for the loss. Good for the Los Angeles chargers provided that this is a fair shake. y'All significant change to your point makes excited about the fact that he gets a legitimate shot in the processes in which you should be able to work out and if a team signed, you're not I, think in this particular situation either way it goes, the chargers won't look bad because you legitimize the process of how you sign a football player, and that's what we're talking about. A little bit of history to Greg Roman was wit San Francisco. With the Forty Niners at the time Colin Kaepernick was playing quarterback Greg Roman obviously left with the Baltimore. In Baltimore Lamar Jackson so we see a lot of what was implemented with Colin Kaepernick as far as how Lamar Jackson that offense was ran as well that is, that is the connection between Anthony Land. Because both of those guys have worked together. I'm just trying to get football context to this. There's familiarity that is something that has happened in this league. Coaches gravitate to players that they know and players that they know working. Working Their System Anthony. Land has stated time and time again. We've lamented about the fact that the chargers won in athletics quarterback the second thing the chargers already have four quarterback rule so Colin is going to have to come in and earn a spot on roster tyrod Taylor obviously, they draft to just to Herbert who they intend to the future. Anthony Lynn has spoke highly of eastern stick a quarterback that they drafted late. In this draft as far as having an opportunity to play in this league, so I'm just excited about the legitimacy of what Colin Kaepernick has the opportunity to do. Because a team is willing to give him an opportunity to be a football player and something that he's good at, but this is a this is the exact example of what we're talking about beyond sports, this is so important for athletes to raise their voice about what happens in their particular leads, and also in society. This is a process of something happening out of good because we're having these conversations in this country right now. I take your take on ESPN radio ESPN news. I'm Jason Fitz. Don't forget to tune into ESPN daily podcast. Kitschy deep dive into a single from an ESPN's hundreds of reports presented by Marathon Donald. Subscribe Review Espn. Available wherever you enjoy your podcast I, think it's interesting because one of the things that see as stressed today in talking about Colin Kaepernick. A tryout somewhere doesn't ensure him a job. That's very true. Take anything away from that take. That's obviously factual, but it reminds me a little bit or Nashville. Songs in Nashville before anybody records your song, they usually do what's called putting it on hold, so somebody like Tim McGraw listens to a song, and he says well. I'M GONNA. Put It on, hold on. I'm going to think about it. You don't get a cut without getting hold. There are certain things that have to happen. I'm not going to run a marathon tomorrow. Guess what I can't. Can't run twenty six point two miles right now. That's absolutely true, but if I'm able to run a little bit I'm one step closer to it. At some point, we can get so obsessed with the result of whether or not cabinet designed right now without at least acknowledging that he's going to have to try out somewhere so even if the hill you WanNa die on with Colin Kaepernick. A tryout isn't a job. He's not getting a job without a tryout. Therefore, instead of just greeting, all of this was so much negativity I'm going to continue to take a step back and wait-and-see approach to this. What happens now that we know that he's at least being publicly acknowledged being on teams radars to get a little bit more concept on this. We're going to go over. "Look it up pin, learn by Michaela new. We with the good life. MANIFESTO DOT COM. My husband left me after seventeen years of being together. He did all the mainly stuff. You know that sort of thing changing the lightbulbs jumpstarting the car fixing things around the house organizing plumber, talking to the car mechanic, and so on before that my late father filled this role for me. The strange thing is that I had a very technical job in a totally male dominated field, which included things like wiring, soldiering using power tools, assembling huge sound and lighting systems, and so on. Certainly very capable of my job. The only thing I ever really needed help on was the heavy lifting or being too short to reach something from the ladder. But for reasons that Miam- still exploring I just handed the power of these mainly duties at home to these men, my whole life, my husband leaving me was a huge shock. Aside from a multitude of other things, I experienced something I had never felt before. Helplessness is an awful thing, and although I hated myself for it I found still relied on him. The first time I had a house emergency was failure of the front gate motor when it stopped working I sat on the floor in cried because I did not know what to do. Do. He would know what to do, but he was no longer there and do not want to call him then I pulled myself together and Message Group of friends within a couple of minutes. My other names and numbers of professionals I also ask some people in my street for help. And what are you know? Help arrived in the form of a kind neighbor. One morning my car would not start again. I sank into despair and cried. I needed to get somewhere. He always sort of these things out. And at that moment a dear friend messaged me and said she would come and help me in the afternoon at a commitment for the whole morning, so I called an Uber and got to where I needed to be and got a ride home. She came to help me. The next day I went in myself. Jumper cables and a trickle charger then. I got a new battery. Jumpstarting. Your car is not rocket science. I started doing more things for myself is a hard thing to transition to taking your power into your own hands, but my friend who had been divorced for several years, said to me something simple yet it was profound. She said Google it or look it up on Youtube. You can find out how to do practically everything I've pretty much rebuilt my house myself tanks to Youtube so I did after helplessness into essentially learning I've learned how to do a lot of things and I will keep on learning each time life. Throw something Emmy. I've learned how to fix all sorts of things I can take a lot of my land rover apart and fix things myself. I removed and replaced silicone in the kitchen and the shower I treated rising damp, I asked to garner road to please show me how to replace the line in my edge trimmer. Not Do it for me I replaced a life fitting. I looked up Eric Hosmer, my dishwasher and washing machine and fix the problems. I even mow. The lawn turns out is a great workout as well so bonus. And if I'm not able to do it myself, I can hire someone to do it for me. The details of such a person are available on the Internet. I joined the Automobile Association. And when my car broke down, I made one call and people arrived to sort it out for me. You can do things for yourself. "chargers" Discussed on Bolts from the Blue

"You're probably looking at guys like Austin Jackson. As Cleveland from Boise State Josh Jones from Huston. Tcu's Lucas Neang. And Isaiah Wilson. Who is the right tackle? Who played with Andrew Thomas at Georgia? All those guys are good players good athletes Lucas and Yang has dealt with some injury issues. But I think Cleveland actually here might be the best bet if the team is looking to go towards a more zone base run scheme. I like better athletes guys. Who are or better out in space? Who climbed the second level and are able to break down. Get in front of secondary defenders latch onto linebackers and create help create bigger run lanes right. They allow the run lanes. Not gets jumbled because they're able to get up to the linebackers quicker than the linebackers are to kind of read their keys and start disrupting their place. So I do like Ezra Cleveland Austin Jackson is also a pretty good athlete as well. Josh Jones didn't tests that well but he looks really good in pass protection. He's another guy that if you wanNA pure pass protector. Josh Jones is probably your guy in terms of that second tier of offense tackles Lucas and Yang. Good good laterally as well. I watched little. Tcu Film the Guy can get out and space. The guy can move around He played mostly right tackle. But I've seen him move back and forth when the team needed him. Good Versatile Guy and then Isaiah Wilson phenomenal athlete as well for as large as he's about six three hundred forty. Five fifty pounds ran pretty. Well I think he ran like a five two which is still good for that size. Strong strong strong strong. You'd like you've seen him at the combine. He was wearing sleeveless shirt and his his biceps. Triceps are just popping. And that's something that can get. You excited about offensive lineman. When they're physically built that well looking like they put in the work they know what to do. They made themselves that way. It's just a test of their work ethic and their knowledge about how to get the most out of themselves now moving onto linebacker. There's only one linebacker that I would have at pick number six that I would be comfortable with. And then as obviously Isaiah Simmons out of Clemson he is a army machete. The Guy can do it all and he's good at everything right. People make that whatever that analogy is over. You know your jack-of-all-trades but a master of none. Well I mean the guy's really good. It was not a master of a bunch of stuff. He's to really freaking good at a bunch of different things. I don't think he's going to be a deep safety whatsoever. I know like he tells the safety. That's plain linebackers. Well he's not going to be. That guy is going to be another Derwin James. Whether you're GONNA use a sub package linebacker will linebacker something like that. He's going to be on the field a lot and he's GonNa move around the field a lot secondary guys for linebacker you're looking at Jordan Brooks from Texas Tech. You're looking at Logan Wilson from Wyoming and even Kenneth Murray had ham moore is probably going to go in the first round sometime after the chargers pick in the first but Daniel Jeremiah. I believe it was recently had a mock where Kenneth Murray fell to the chargers with their second round. Pick at thirty seven. I wouldn't really be against it. The Guy was a tackling machine is a wild child doesn't does have issues in coverage but at the same time. I don't think they would need him to really be covers. They have plenty of other good college or coverage linebackers as well as bigger safeties that can fill that role but Jordan Brooks Man Jordan Brooks productive all four seasons at Texas tech most recently over one hundred eight tackles. He had twenty tackles for loss. Three sacks twenty tackles for loss. This is a guy who had five for loss in sixteen only had a half a tackle for loss in seventeen six and a half in two thousand eighteen and then went off for twenty tackles for loss. The guy was a wild child he lived in the backfield. The Guy can sift through traffic and get two running backs before they get to the line of scrimmage. I like him a lot. I probably wouldn't take him any earlier than round three though Logan Wilson just touch on him a very good coverage. Linebacker rectal tackles at Wyoming Again. A not amid major. But he's a group of five player right so it'd be interesting to see how he would fare against some of the top talent. He did participate in the senior bowl down in mobile and he did have a decent week but nothing. I heard that was terribly crazy. Impressive going on wide receiver kind of run down. The last two to secondary options terms of team needs for the charges in this year's draft wide receiver. So some of the top guys the names. I have for the chargers. Maybe at the top of the second with this. Whether it's Denzel Mims they need speed right so speed is going to be a big deal for some of these wide receivers that I have selected. Denzel mims six three two hundred twelve pounds kind of broke out over. The last two seasons for Baylor had a phenomenal week at the senior bowl. The Guy was great killed in one on ones and I understand one on ones are made for wide receivers to to win the same way. That one on ones defensive lineman offense of Lyman. The defense is normally going to win but he just create separation on a consistent basis. He would. He's so good and contested catches as well on top of having four three eight four three nine forty yard dash speed right. This is a guy that can not only run away from people but when he has to be contested he actually has the proper ball skills to make these catches to snagged out of the air. He's physical at the catch point. And that's what this chargers team needs. They got Mike Williams. Who's obviously good at the catch point? Keenan Allah's no Sasha's well but having the speed they missed Sarah Williams they do do do need. That doesn't Jefferson's another name. I think he still goes in the first round. Not He's not a absolute speed demon but he's still a four four. Five guy played for the defending National Champs. Was really good for them. I think he's a solid wide receiver. That if he's there at thirty seven I don't know how you don't take a look at him. Some of the other names speed guys. Florida's Van Jefferson Penn. State's Caja Kamler. Tcu's Jalen Ray Gore who actually didn't test nearly as fast as we thought still fast. I think on the fours but we thought four three. Maybe even touching four twos. Unfortunately that wasn't the case at the combine Van Jefferson's another six three wide receiver. I think is about sixty two hundred pounds like the speed size combination but Hamer ragwort are probably going to be your slot guys I they're not going to be your ex. You're flanker whatever they're not gonNA win contested catches. They're just going to create separation and probably be a you know a guy on third down. They look too often in early. Some later options so these are all day three options as well Denver. Nee Four three nine forty from Texas. He's about five. Tends just stocky built really well contact balances? There can be a home. Run hitter Everything clicks and he's able to make one guy miss he's that type of Guy Darnell moonies a five ten wide receiver. One hundred eighty seven pounds to lane also ran a four three. Something Fortieth Combines Louisville's four three eight speed there and we've got zeh coulter. He was a four four. Four four four five guy from Rhode Island. He's six two. I WANNA say about two hundred and five pounds can be a good X. Wide Receiver can play beat one on one coverage raw but a good athlete in someone that the chargers could basically work into slowly into that starting lineup of wide receivers now finishing this whole thing up. We've got running backs now. The chargers we already love who they have at running back right. We Got Austin. You've got just Jackson Love Ecuador. He can do anything he wants to win. An offense and be good just Jackson in his limited time. He struggled with a little bit of injuries. But when he's on the field he does make a difference and he makes plays happen. All you gotTa do is look back to what he did to help. The chargers comeback the steelers two years ago. If you look at his numbers he's really efficient. His yards per average believe is well over five. The guy's good just knows he's not the fastest. The crazies athlete in the world was a four time. Our four year starter northwestern all four years when over one thousand yards ninth player to do that in big ten history. The guy's good and so if the charges aren't sold though on Justin Jackson being that complementary partner to Austin Ecuador I would say maybe round three s highs around to take these guys but cam acres. I love Camakers from Florida State. He played behind one of the most. If not the most horrendous offensive line In College last year and he was contacted every one at a three runs of his he was contacted behind. Or at the line of scrimmage and the guy still rush for well over eleven hundred yards I think had over twenty touchdowns not entirely sure close to it if not guys good phenomenal and then you look at Zach Moss. Bigger Guy Five. Ten Two hundred twenty five pounds. This would be your goal guy. This would be your guy you know could turn out yards. He was I think he recorded. The most broken tackles at of any running back in the country this past season. That is something that the chargers need as well. Melvin Gordon could never seem to really that done when he was one on one with defenders in open space some later options as well on Tonio Gibson from Memphis. This is a guy who was technically a receiver in college but was a utility guy he he. He rushed the ball. He caught the ball. He did it all. He looks like he's GonNa be a running back in the NFL. He's a big dude. As well. Let me see if I have a stats or anything pulled up here E- I don't think I did anyway. He still was efficient terms of touches per score or scores per touches. I believe he's five ten six foot two hundred twenty seven pounds. The guy is solid Josh. Kelly Hi Love Josh. Kelly he was. He's a hometown guy. Ucla lose five ten two hundred and fifteen pounds. Something along those lines. He's solid. He had a really great year. Or Excuse me great senior bowl this year. I think he was one of the. I don't know if he was the MVP or not but he had over one hundred yards in the senior bowl. Game The scrimmage that Saturday five eleven two hundred nine hundred pound back. The Guy can kind of do all you can make guys miss. He's got some hops. Will Hurl over you given the chance. I'll he's a late day. Three guy you can come in and be a significant contributor for the chargers and then lastly I have a guy named Shavuot a looney Lua and if you guys haven't seen anything about Shavuot he is from TCU He was never the spotlight feature back for the horned frogs. He split the backfield every year. He was there. He played for years this past season. He split the backfield with a guy named Darius Jet Anderson and it's weird because a guy who's nickname is jet didn't even run that fast before. I think he didn't even break four fives but oh well she will six three two hundred and thirty pounds two hundred and two to be exact tenants. Hands huge ran a four six six at the combine. It's going to be the fastest thing in the world. But this is a guy who works out with The footwork king seen him social media. He trains a lot of college. High School won't even professional players like lady on Bell. Melvin Gordon Darius slay He works with the best. He knows how to get the most out of these guys all about footwork and he know Shay what was got really good feet jumped thirty six inches broad jump ten foot three four to eight in the twenty yard shuttle. The guy was a wildcat quarterback near the goal. Line for the horned. Frogs scored a lot of touchdowns eight this past year. Seven the year before the guy has a nose for the end zone knows how to break contact as well very good with yards. After contact falls forward is able to be slippery just enough to get past the first defender. He just didn't get enough carries or else I think he would've had some of the best numbers in the country comparatively. So those are the guys I like for the chargers kind of quick and dirty on this but again guerrilla podcast needed to get this up and I know you guys some people have reached out to me about powder blue review and wondering what was going with that so surprise here we are. This is the new show chargers lately. Still deciding whether or not you know the the frequency of these. I'm going to be posting a lot of little short pods throughout the draft. Week You guys come up to date on my feelings reactions of what they're doing and guys. It's Christmas every single day. Christie's Christmas Eve every single day. This week I honestly cannot wait so really Guys listening in hope. You guys enjoyed the quick and dirty of the T. needs probably gonNA post this on Bolt from the blue. We'll talk about in the comments. What's going on your thoughts and feelings towards what I said today. And that's just about it so thank you very much tuning in you guys very soon..

"chargers" Discussed on Bolts from the Blue

"Hey everyone and welcome to the very first edition of my brand new show called chargers lately and if you guys if that sounds familiar at all it's actually the very first twitter handle. I had before I changed it to zone tracks and I get artwork for the show and everything like Vat. You'll see that. I spill chargers lately with the LA capitalized. And obviously that plays into you. Know they play in L. A. And obviously that's kind of the joke. I think it's catchy. Whatever some you guys are probably thinking and wondering what happened to powder blue review well probably review was with blue wire and unfortunately I am no longer with blue wire because I got hired fulltime onto espy nation and can't really work for a competitor as you work for another team so now this is it. This is the new show charges lately. I really hope you guys enjoy it kind of had to spring up out of nowhere honestly with the draft here. Obviously I want you guys to kind of get my thoughts be able to talk to you guys about the team and what they should do in the draft and all that good stuff. So here we are. It's kind of like a guerilla. Podcast coming out of nowhere. But today's episode. We're just GONNA talk about the team. Needs for the chargers talking about what positions they need to target the most and keep an eye on the closest as we get closer and closer to around one on Thursday so if I had to make a short list of what positions I think. The chargers should look into obviously quarterbacks at the top and depending on who you are that's on the same tier as offensive tackle. So we're looking at a starting quarterback team needs a left tackle and some of these secondary positions that the chargers obviously need to look into our linebacker depth wide receiver three and potentially another running back to pair with Justin Jackson and Austin editor and one. That's probably on the bigger side right. One that can score touchdowns from the goal line. Be Used when Austin is not in the Backfield. He is out wide in the slot. Move around the formation but the chargers still have a threat in the backfield even if awesome out doing something else so we're kind of just going to go from position to position. Pardon me and I'm GonNa talk about you. Know the top guys guys. That should be their first selection right when it comes to that position. So like a quarterback. I'm going to go through the guys who they could potentially take six and then if they don't take a quarterback at six some other guys that potentially target either around two three whatever so on and so forth when we get into some of these secondary needs. Well they're probably not gonNA go wide receiver and the first right but the highest could go with wide receivers the second and if they don't take the second or third maybe there's some day three guys same thing with running back. Maybe there's a guy on day three or sees me round three and if they don't take one you know in third round maybe they take a guy on day three rounds four five six seven. Something like that so yeah. We'll just go ahead and start with quarterback mean not too much structure to this show. Where is GONNA get this bad boy going So quarterback obviously Joe Borough is off the case. There is no chance charters. Get Joe Borough. Barring them trading the entire draft hall Allah the what was it the Saints Trading essentially their whole draft frying ninety seven plus a first and third to draft running back. I believe it was Ricky Williams. That's obviously not going to happen. And you would hope no one ever does anything like that ever ever ever again. So options at number six right. It's too it is just an Herbert and to a much lesser extent. It is Jordan love. But I'm including here because he's still deemed a first round quarterback regardless if I think he's a first round quarterback personally Secondary options if they don't like either of those guys they decide to pass on quarterback. You still got guys like jalen hurts. His obviously very interesting writing. Or you're looking at Jacob. Jason just tall big armed physical stature Type Guy. Kinda checks all those boxes. If you my personal opinion I think the pick your needs to be two I I I don't think you can pass on a guy who so fundamentally sound in naturally accurate in all phases of it right in the pocket out of the pocket off platform able to make these throws in honest to God. When it comes to quarterbacks in me Looking at quarterbacks evaluating quarterbacks what ID most important is just pure accuracy now. A lot of people will take quarterbacks who may have some fundamental issues and they think oh if they just fixed this that they they raise their elbow up a little more. They could fix them these accuracy issues and I'm just like no patch. Mahomes coming out do not have the most Orthodox throwing motion right. People dinged him for that and they didn't know how he would get away with in the NFL and obviously we see that patch. Mahomes is doing just fine in the NFL. If a guy is accurate if a guy in no matter the situation knows how to contorted arm angle knows how to put touch on the ball in some way shape or form put a different spin on it to make sure it goes where it needs to go and get to their their wide receiver. They're tied in the running back whatever. Then that's a naturally accurate quarterback too is that I think you know without getting too much into the advance stats. He was the most accurate quarterback in terms of getting the ball within the cone. The the body of the receivers right that they didn't have to jump off the ground enough to fully extend he always consistently got the ball in a position where the The wide receiver whomever caught the ball within. They're kind of like body cone. I'm not sure how to describe that. They didn't need to try that hard to to to stretch out and make like a difficult catch. He didn't make it on his receivers. Then you've got a guy like Justin Herbert olive physical traits in the world. Right Big Guy. Six to thirty five ish Depending on part time of season he's been as low as twenty five he's been upwards of two forty at sometimes guy ran like a what a four six eight four six nine forty he can use his legs and I don't think he uses legs. That oftener was even allowed to until the final couple of games of the season where you saw him rush a lot and will the ducks over. Utah in the PAC twelve championship and over Wisconsin in the Rose Bowl game. He needs to throw with better touch. He needs to throw almost a natural grace to it. I'm not sure how to describe that either. It just looks like he's forcing passes but forcing not in the way of like it's double coverage he's trying to force the ball in a tight window. No it's just instead of kind of grip in it and ripping it to his receivers with a short intermediate deep. It looks like he's just guiding the football a little too much and it makes me think that it's not as natural for him to just throw the ball and I want throwing the ball to look as natural as possible like essentially. You're in the backyard playing around with your friends right. I just wanted to look that natural and easy for you and I think he's kind of struggling with that a little bit Jordan. Love a guy who went from throwing for thirty two touchdowns and rushing for seven more into eighteen with. I think against six seven interceptions all of a sudden through seventeen interceptions to twenty total touchdowns through the air just took a big step back. Obviously everyone knows that he lost coaches. You starting personnel around him. I get that so I I don't think he's a backup quarterback. I just don't think he's worth a first round pick and then again. Your secondary options hurts and eastern hurts as guy scored over fifty plus touchdowns. I think he ran over twenty touchdowns through for thirty two. I think it is regardless of what you think about his game in whether translator not some. Nfl coach is going to be able to probably get something out of him. And he's got a lot of those uncuttable intangibles that you could look into and I won't be like mad if they took him at the top of the second if they took offense to tackle with the first round pick I just wouldn't feel great about it and that's kind of just a gut reaction to the idea of that pick moving on we've got offense tackles now. I'm a little bit of a homer here and I. I know I don't like being home. Obviously by always just say that. I'm a little biased. With who I think the tackle should be in. If they're going to offense attack in the I I think it needs to be. I was Tristan worse. I think guys like him or not. You know drafted or in the draft. Every year I think he has an amazing combination of fundamentally being being fundamentally sound technique wise on top of his elite athleticism and one of his biggest Knox. And I'll even give. This is that he tested dominantly at the NFL combine. But when he's on the field he gets the job done he's a good player but he doesn't dominate his opponents physically the way he dominated his athletic testing. You know he's not finishing and tea bagging and doing terrible things to defensive lineman the way Clinton Nelson did but honestly if you look at tristen size like why six five three twenty s. That's roughly what Clinton Nelson was. It's just a different mindset. I think he's between the years I think he's a little bit softer. He's a good good kid mama's boy but he's so athletic he's still super dominant and getting the job done. It's just not in that nasty way that you would really prefer your offensive linemen To have such that. Mindset Jesuit wills little more of a nasty guy finisher. He is super athletes. As well. Not The athlete attrition. Works is but just for the offensive. Tackle position is an athlete. I think he ran a five zero seven. I WANNA say was jumped thirty four and a half inches which was just to less than than worse overall good Athletic Tester But the guy can move very well also very good laterally reach blocks you know beatable across the faces of outside shades when they run into him good. Good athletes good demeanor with the position. He played only right tackle at Alabama though he was the only top tackle. Those four guys worse wheels. Becton and Thomas. That didn't have any snaps whatsoever at the other. Tackle position away from the one that he played so everything he did was at right tackle. I wouldn't be overjoyed with the pick but I still think I mean this guy. We can work with. Wouldn't make too much sense with a blog. Pick just got worse. Could play left tackle if needed? Then you get like. Obviously the true left tackles come into the strap you got becton. Thomas Becton is sodium cool to watch play football because he's massive and he doesn't move like a massive guy there's been guys like I think exact banners name was a six eight three hundred sixty pound guy who when he played you could tell he was just so big and could barely figure out how to move his body. That'S NOT BECTON. Beckon is actually super ran a five one one unofficial forty at the combine still superstrong to twenty-three bench reps at the combine. Apparently you know that was due to much lower than can really do his trainer. Duke many weather put up a video after the combine showing him do thirty reps at the end of a workout and that was obviously much higher than twenty three done at the combine road greater. The guy can use all the torque in the world to he doesn't have to vertically displaced people he can just latch on uses hips. And throw a guy out of a hole to create lanes or the running back and he's got that nasty mindset that I really liked for offensive tackles Andrew Thomas. He is probably the best pure pocket. Protector pass protector in this draft Great fee smooth. It's a little choppy. I would like to be a bit smoother. But he gets the job. Done has really strong hands so once he gets his hands on defensive linemen and pass rushers. It is really hard for them to disengage. And that's an easy way for offense alignment to be deemed good right like once they get their hands on you. You're done for that's pass. Protector should be at the end of the day. My biggest worry with Thomas is that he struggles with power I saw him get literally. Tossed by defensive tackle Rashard Lawrence from lsu on several occasions and one of their last games against each other. And I don't ever WanNa see that from a dominant offensive. Linemen that sucks. You don't Nelson doing that. Some of the top tackles and other guys in the NFL. You don't see them. Give physically tossed two or three yards in the air on a single play. Just not the big fan of it secondary options for often attack if they go quarterback in the first..

"Working. Missile Yeah Okay. been suggesting this this one and it's a really interesting thing because and it's a really interesting thing because although may feel dominated that here's the trivia question who's dominated in the NFL rivers. Yeah but that's just about right but they've actually met twice before it Rudolph and Mayfield of Split those two games so there we go that we go love dropping the heavyweight trivia. That just equate line before we get them out on the steelers at five and four still alive more than we. Could you see a given the way the wild card race is particularly competitive. Is there a realistic chance of the steelers thinking in the back door to you this game as the huge huge one for them and for the browns as well because the browns will think they've got an outside shot you know if they can sort of have a second half like they did last year but that's such a tough division that it's it's going to be difficult to catch the Ravens. Obviously you've got the division you so you have to think that apart from the South the AFC the AFC is looking like your divisions are said even though the chiefs you know don't have much of a lead right now you you sort of. You have to think that they're going to take that division in the end so the Patriots and the chiefs and the Ravens would look like three division winners. Then you've got the south and then you've you've got your your two wild card teams I think Pittsburgh's got to be in the running For one of those wildcards and really the you know the pit the Second Pittsburgh Baltimore Gamble turn out to be a huge one. We'll stay on the subject as we get into the mailbox to wrap might rope got in touch with us at the NC shows is how you get in touch with the show. We're on Instagram facebook. The old twitter pick your poison. Rub references the charges chiefs game on Monday which is in Mexico. Mexico gets a game and potentially a goody the as well robotics and I'm suspecting he might be a charges fan but let's see what you think might kind of bolts win signal run to the playoffs in the wide open you you know send San Diego always do this. It's and you know I think you know. I think when they're in Mexico they really should be called San Diego again if not one either if not yet about like a Tijuana chargers they say yeah. I'm surprised if if the raiders can move to Las Vegas some spice. The chargers can't move to Tijuana. Make it happen but anyway. I think you can't count the charges out. Although you know you keep seeing them winning ugly as were and you would really like to see them winning a game where they were they sort of dominate. And look really good instead of just instead of just sort of hanging in there and you know being pesky and biting at your by your ankles in eventually coming out with a win in the end. They thought that That colts game. If it wasn't Brian Hoyer You know they're they're probably they're probably not going to the probably having a tough time with that and You know it's funny. It's funny with the charges because they pretty much done this for all. All of the last one is fifteen years whatever. Injuries have been a factor in a lot of those years but the game against Oakland on on Thursday night. Yeah what was a good one from their point of view and Melvyn Melvin. Gordon looked looked. Good ran well and But but Rivers Oakland Got Two rivers and there were twenty penalties in that game. Three turnovers and They they just couldn't pull that that off and so I think at four and six. It's a longshot. Especially because the raiders are as I keep saying limited but playing. Well they're kind of the opposite of the chargers Richard Scott them doing th. They're actually doing what he wants to do. Very well in playing within themselves whereas the chargers always be playing either above or below the selves as a great proud of that parallel. Tim O.. Quick for you Mike Dean speaking ballet but club clues it clear that it isn't blind date and maybe it is. I'd always a big fan of the show and I think he appreciates my calling game with too many penalties of Blandino. I enjoyed that. How serious is the situation in? La and he's talking rams. As short mcveigh a two season wonders. That things are unraveling. How how worried should rams fans be about? It is a problem. It is a problem. Because they've hitched their their their wagon to jared Goff and and since the Super Bowl teams are not afraid of their offense. You know and when they don't have brandin cooks as they didn't Against Pittsburgh a AH again it takes away one of those dimensions to the offense depend on you. Know you don't have to worry about the deep threat from Cooper Cup so there in fact is on there. I mean you. You pointed out earlier in the season to us when we were doing the game on TV. Together the change in the offensive line in the. You've got a todd. Gurley elite is year on year. And certainly look at an eighteen months two years ago to now severely diminished. And Yeah you're right you would have a pilot. Brandin cooks missing missing regularly. It's no surprise that they haven't that's it and you know and I think it's obvious girly can't do a lot of the things that he used to do. which which which means? You don't have to worry about him so much I mean he's still got some power and burst but he doesn't seem to be able to cut the way he did. They're not running about on pass routes the way they dead and the offensive line I think Whitworth may have reached the end now. Yep He's he's you know he's a veteran has been there a long time They don't have they don't have a great offensive line this year and without those extra threats. It's it's very hard to keep defenses honest against you and as I said before with makeup. It's Patrick Teams. Have figured out ways to confuse. Jared Goff you know to make make his life more difficult and by taking Cooper Cup out of the game which is what the steelers dealers also did it left him with very little recourse in terms of offense and their defense hasn't been quite up to level. I think teams. I don't think people realize that sues loss would be as as serious as it was because although he didn't really seem to do much for the rams he was on it. Yeah Yeah. He was absorbing attention that made Aero Aaron. Donald a little bit more more effective so that you can you know we saw Blake Bortles for one play where he basically was incomplete on the bay. They ran on. They had an option. Run that they wanted to run. You know and I wouldn't be surprised if we saw a little bit more of that That that was my favorite favorite. Took Me Greg. We're talking about Monday. The next play they wheel about Jodi Heiki comes. That was. That was pretty awful. I mean the when when you're running fake punts and you your punter lines up only nine yards deep kind of obvious. Tell Yeah Johnny Hecker had that brilliant fake punt with Andy Lee where where they ran they ran basically. They ran the snap APP direct to the up man who then lateraled it back to the gun or coming from the side so it was a reverse and the governor lateral that back to Lee who just stood there watching change and then leave through throws this past which was basically just up in the air but everybody was psyched chose shots. I'm trying remember the receiver. Cedric comes back for it. Though you know runs underneath it and And then and then makes the catchy. We was Oh fairways Pharaoh Pharaoh Cooper that was just brilliant Royat. And that's what you gotta do and Johnny Hackers Great on fake punts. y'All can't but you can't make it obvious and that one was so obvious it it just. It just seemed futile question yesterday. Playing five aside playing in goal. Roll the ball to and each autumn. Not One of my teammates who took the ball. I must have wrote about two feet. Deep in our half of his he then went the whole way up the field and scored good. Does that count as an assist. Yes absolutely I'd be old. Basketball rule for assists is is. Is that if the player makes the shot without having to avoid another player you get assists and love it. But the hockey rule is you get two assists on a play so you just have to be involved in the place so I think under NHL rules. You get an assist. Thanks Buddy Mike Seal of approval so that is good good another.

"I don't know that i can close the book on a fangio. Turn that defense back around and make an dominant. They still have some nice piece von miller and bradley chubb. That's a good place to start in in the twenty first century brand of football that requires a pass rush more than anything else on defense no matter what times might argue against when we gotta get her book before we talk show where we kick things off. I'm all right. Let's let's start candidates in now with a guy who i found to be lovely you know when i was walking up for this interview <hes> <hes> he <hes> he beat me to the microphone and and he said yeah come on dave. Let's go and i knew we were in good shape because he was sassari before we ardi at before we had even begun here. He is from ohio state. I'm sorry the ohio state. It's joey bosa dave. They've been in that at all right here. We go look who it is. Everybody one of the great sack masters in pro football. That's try our joey bosa. What's happening fouling much just tape off a hamster apparently but <hes> just for the since coming tomorrow yeah. Let's not worry about what i always say. I always say that. Preseason is a lie. I don't think there's so much. My goal is by the way at this point your career. Aren't you now tenured enough that you could just be like you know what coach my growing. I don't know if it's if it's right might not be right to l. Early september <hes> well coming into practice. He's next today's talking about cell the yeah. Those times are important to get in with <hes>. I think preseason pretty pretty important. I mean of course what are you gonna. Just show up and play a regular season. It's not going to happen. Not how can look good so those shenanigans like come on. I really need to be here to try to work out and everything. It's all hot out here and everything yeah. No i mean i hope people aren't complaining like making millions of dollars to play football so you put it into perspective. It's pretty isn't <music>. Joey bosa like i say you're one of the great <hes> sack artists in pro football who <hes> who's the most annoying q._b. To try the sack annoying haluk he's he's annoying off the field and i know it or he's annoying to bring down well. You know what i was thinking about like on the field as hard to wrangle but if you have some insights on who's yeah yeah. I don't have the second one but i mean cam newton. Damn near knocked me unconscious when i tried to take him down announcing. I'd have to say so. That's worse for you probably he is i mean he is for real your giant human being and he's bigger than you it is. I don't know about bigger but he's huge. He's definitely it's like trying to tackle another d. and that's for sure. Do you left to lift weight. Woah just eat junk food and lay around all day and then i come out for camp. It's an interesting method. Let's go. Let's go both <hes> <hes> last year. I talked to your friend melvin ingram and i asked him who was going to have more sacks in twenty eighteen. We one obviously yeah. Let's alexa talk about it for twenty nineteen who in the sack race and i'm going to have to say myself but i hope it's a closer yeah. That's should refund fun route so it is it really is shaping up to perhaps the best defense in football. Let's go glass half full glass half empty. Lie is as twenty nine thousand nine the chargers year <hes> i mean if you just look at the past few years i think it's trending that way. I mean five eleven nine and seven twelve and fourteen. If if saying anything at saying that we're moving in the right direction we have a lot of the same pieces and we're just adding moore's we go..

"Football gods this weekend because this is where your starters i mean some of the old school teams but now like frank reich and other guys are jumping in like where i'm not playing playing these guys why risk injury in a sport where very large human beings run. I run into each other on purpose. Why would i possibly jeopardize with andrew lucked doc. I'm going to put all my guys in bubble wrap and that's the end of that. That's right and <hes> so for league-wide. Let's hope they're no injuries on any football. Fields builds at any point but <hes> it's. It's especially vaccine when it happens in an exhibition games. Here's the in what i always say spaghetti and i'll say it to you now. The ah here's my argument against preseason games the necessity for them. I think it's very fun for you. Don't get to go to regular season games and you're lucky enough again preseason ticket all right. It's still cool to go to the stadium. It's kind of like the j._v. expires. I remember when i was a little kid. My oh man would take me to the preseason games you know because they didn't matter much and i had no. I had no idea the difference. I think that it'd be fun to implement a policy where you bring. Maybe a few lucky ticketholders down on the field for a quarter so watch. I think great that'd be a fun. That'd be a fun event. People would be into that and you talk about the ratings through the roof my argument against preseason games and again the necessity for them if they if they were essential if you had to have them then why don't college football teams plan the the one thing i will say though that i underestimated their importance and i guess some position coaches do love them. Just from the recent hard knocks i mean even gruden was going crazy to watch glennon versus nathan peterman. I remember there's a quick cut about the tight ends. Coach warranty wanted their tight ends. Play another an extra series and stuff like that so the the super like you call them the football the guys in the league actually do care about the position battle so the right the secondary level guys yeah makes it. It makes it compelling sailing to watch those guys. My concern is just don't ever put your starters out though never because then it ruins your seat before it even begins is if your q._b. Be as instant goes down. It's terrible but anyway. Let's let's get into it with the chargers by the way as always this d._s._p. Presented by zach spy's famous chicken fingers wings wings and forget all this jazz ready out there buzzing about.

"The time. I stayed chicken. Glenn? You know, you get these Thursday night games on the schedule. And you hope they live up to the hype. And then you get a night light last night that actually exceeds it chargers and chiefs, and it was a classic in every way they come to all the way down fourth quarter. But this is. Patrick Mahomes, throwing a touchdown in the first quarter. This actually is the entirety of the game highlight that we showed you earlier this morning. So I'll just pick it up from here. Guys, third quarter. This was some ball movement here and the chargers. This is not the highlight that we intended to run there won't be sound here guys in the control them just talk you through this here in the fourth quarter. This was Philip rivers engineering comeback giving the ball to Justin Jackson added. Northwestern. New had pounded in four score. That would make it twenty eight to twenty one Patrick minds that have a chance here three and a half minutes can they possess the football able to run the clock out. No, they're not down. He goes he is sacked on the play. And so the chargers would get the football back. And then they would start getting Travis Benjamin involved in the game right around here. Louis was huge on this drive, including this next play. You'll see which was a fourth down. This was basically the ballgame. Yeah. This is this is a good as it gets when you're executing against Cup of two men. The Philip rivers had that ball three quarters of the way to Travis Benjamin before Travis even got out of the break. And that was absolutely incredible throwing cats in a computer. And so that would set them up down here in the red zone. Philip rivers won the shot that he takes it ahead here and inexplicably. No flag is thrown. This is clearly helmet to help. On a quarterback who's going to the ground. This has been a penalty all year long in this case. They don't throw the flag. That's third-down play. Here's this was probably an offensive pass interference. But instead the makeup call goes the other direction a lot of frustration with the way this game officiated by a lot of different people. Bobby you have thought well, you see the push off right there. Obviously defensive back trying to do the best kid. I don't think there's any the ocean can do a lot of is called this game. Gonna sir. The best that would set that up there. A touchdown throw to Mike Williams who would make three touchdowns in the ball game. And then the two point conversion again the incredibly courageous decision by Anthony lane. He says we're not waiting inside than you win. And so to me, it was a no brainer. Perhaps not one way or another. This is the play dialup and boy it ever worked. Mike Williams could not possibly have been more open wide open in the back of the end zone with four seconds to play. That was all she wrote the charges go on the road and pull off a remarkable win in Kansas City twenty nine to twenty eight. And so as we sort of regroup here at the desk. How would you put into words the courage that it takes or take me behind the decision that was made there by Lynn to go for the two in the wind. A lot of times. Look, this is just about having a feel for which football team is able to do and what the matchups are. And when you have Mike Williams who all night long. You saw he looked like a man amongst boys as far as how he was beating defensive backs to the punch and beating them to the ball, especially in the Verde area. Especially when the when the field is shorten and condense. And it's really just athlete against athlete. That's when you you can trust you're wide receiver. And when you have Philip rivers, you're going to trust that he's going to put it where it needs to be put in on top of it at the end of the game to really want to take the chance of Patrick Mahomes, going into overtime and him all of a sudden hitting tyreek something over the top in the game's over. That's not what you want to do for Anthony win. That's where I'm looking at is. I'm not giving Patrick Mahomes the ball back it putting my defense back there on the field..

"But I am I can jump in on the second part. If that's. Go for it. I don't want to rain on your parade here. It's your show for it. But he he addressed you not me six and seven definitely two thousand nine. I think was close to they went thirteen three that year that feeling about that team. But that's just me. Well, just a good feeling about it. They had a really good record. I, you know, I don't think this team has as good of a supporting cast as those teams did. But this is definitely as close as I've gotten to either of those years for sure, yeah. I'd agree with that. I'm getting there. I'm still working on having that confidence. But it's a different feeling going into every Sunday with. I mean, I thought in all candor I thought they lose in Pittsburgh. I think we both they'd lose in Pittsburgh. Oh, yeah. No, definitely. Yeah. I predicted that most chargers fans probably thought they would lose in Pittsburgh, but on a week to week basis. This is confident as I've been in them since two thousand six and two thousand seven where you just feel like they're gonna find a way to get it done. All right. Well, let's go ahead and talk about the game. Go ahead and give me your first storyline. So my first storyline. And I'm sure you've got this in yours somewhere is the chargers. Make history with a winning Pittsburgh. This was a huge win on many levels. Obviously charter fans everywhere or thumping their chests saying we have arrived because this is the statement game. They've been waiting for. I thought Seattle was a statement game. I think this is a statement game. So it's big on that level. But then you start getting into the numbers of how hard it is to win. And pittsburgh. The chargers were the first team ever to beat the Steelers at home. So first busying team ever to beat the Steelers in Pittsburgh after trailing by fourteen or more points at the half. The Steelers were two hundred twenty zero and one when leading by fourteen or more points at halftime at home in franchise history. And the chargers beat them last night. That's pretty damn impressive. They were also the first visiting team ever to beat the Steelers in Pittsburgh after trailing by at least, sixteen points at any point in the game. The Steelers were hundred seventy four and one believe heading into last night's game. When they've trailed by led by sixteen or more points at home at any point in the game. And the final stat the charters are the first team in the history of Heinz field to beat the Steelers in primetime. This had been eight no in primetime games at Heinz field. Go into that game before the charges beat them. So you put all that together. And what you have you had the chargers make earning a historical victory on the road against a surefire playoff team likely division winner a team that they've always struggled with in a venue where they always struggled, and they did it in pre and fatty fashion the second half..

"Craze your thing. He's only thrown zero interceptions absolutely insane. He's officiant with it as well. In this game against the Pittsburgh Steelers, he was twenty three twenty eight for three twenty six and six touchdowns now that's just absolutely insane. Anytime a quarterback who throws more touchdowns than he does incompletions for that game is pretty gnarly and manages kinda sucks because obviously Stanley, you know that dating back to last year's draft show and leading up to that draft. A lot of us at the staff chargers fans alike. Thought that Mahomes was going to be could have been a perfect fit for the chargers seen him for the ball round in the vertical, saw offense that the chargers use. It just sucks in the more he does. These amazing historic things more. He balls out on a week to week basis. We just have to realize as a fan base that this is probably we're gonna have to get used to for the next ten years, which just sucks. I dunno other words say or to describe it, but it sucks. Tell me how you feel. He is just unreal. I mean, watching this game this week, he looked super comback their suit like he did not look like a guy starting his third NFL game. He was calm, collected, keeping his eyes downfield. He showed good movement in the pocket. He was really good rolling out when he needed to, and he really put that arm that that laser rocket arm that he has. He really put that on display. Some of these passes that he have just they just like. You know, closing pitcher fastballs to his receivers, the the first touchdown that he threw to Travis Kelsey was that was just on a laser and it was it the way it got delivered the way it hit Travis, Kelsey hands. It was kind of behind him a little bit and subscribes. Kelsey had to turn all the way around as he grabbed it. But the way he was turning around and the timing in the way the ball hit his hands. It almost looked like him grabbing the ball, spun him around enough to get into the end zone of his crazy. But yeah, he just looked. He was unreal. I mean, he, he is re mean he's going to have to come back down to earth eventually, but he just looks like he's in the perfect fit offense for him. Right now. He's got plenty of weapons around him. Their offense of line is doing just enough to keep him upright and give him time when he doesn't hold onto the ball too long. I think it took too sacks in this game. It may just been one, but he those that was on him mostly. He was just holding the ball on a little too long. He just looked really good. I mean, he he's buying beyond his years. Subsequently incredible, and it's been a little call it a tale of two games the first two weeks for the chiefs where against the chargers last week we saw have homes just hook up with tyreek hill over and over and over again. It really was that Mahomes entire. He'll show we saw walk ins and Kelsey and even hunt for lack of a better term..

"It's a shame it's like they don't even let us charter supporters get get to like august i talked about it with with will brinson on his his podcast pick six pod people should check that out and like never there's kind of this chargers contingent he's one of them i'm one of them for sure west is in in the mix and it's like they don't even let us get to august with that like imaginary ideal chargers team in our head they always start chopping it down even more than who's football football gods yeah because it's like no matter what happens now with the chargers you always be i'll be comparing it to the ideal hunter henry lead chargers team in my head that could happen because i thought how henry i was expecting him to be one of the top three or four ends and league that's up as as crushing this is if they are actually good team they will overcome this that's true that's fair so you can't tamp down expectations the patriots the patriots juliet allman they figure it it out henry just happened to be kind of like the the guy i was most excited about rising thought he was going to be kind of their most dominant receiver as chargers booster did you consider the notion which i did not when i wrote this article it just popped into my head that mike williams the guy drafted in the first round could be like moved into like a move tight end rule receiving data but make sense he's got the size for it for sure and they've got three good receivers ahead of him on the short another by the way a seal injury was eagles linebacker paul warrilow who also suffered a torn acl this week and it does it is a reminder it's a sobering reminder and it sucks that these are some of the best you know athletes in the in the country.

"In on the field football news the chargers such a strong team on paper but they took a hit on tuesday third year tight end hunter henry suffered a torn acl during practice anthony lynn downplayed the injury initially didn't believe it was too serious then learned what the diagnosis was and this is a chargers team that had twenty i believe it was twenty five players go to i are two seasons ago they had better injury luck last year but they had all other issues last year some of them brought on by themselves by moving the team kicker issues but now here's the injury bug again and west will start with you on this one because hunter henry is a name like come up a lot in this podcast as a guy who has a chance to become a star in this offense and you gotta hit pause on that whole situation chargers were owen three last year before that before hundred henry entered the lineup they went nine four the rest of the way with him in the lineup emerging as one of the best all around tight ends in the nfl i believe pro football focus had him behind only gronk he blocks really well he's a good red zone weapon he moves the change he moved the chains and they won six or seven games down the stretch with hunter henry playing a big role i think it's a crushing blow for the for the chargers it's such a shame because this was his year like this was his shot without antonio gates there for the first time in like seventy years hunter henry could sort of get in there i know and be the focal point of the offense and now they have a huge need at tight end and so you have to wonder are they going to call back in tonio gates and be like hey you know everything that we said before and it's not like we don't even know how much he has left in the tank because it didn't really look like you had a whole lot left anyway so maybe they kinda get over it with all their receivers but it's an issue now for them for sure.
