"Let's start with drew. Lock the incumbent and he was asked to part question right off the top about how the quarterback competition effects his mindset as well as working with peyton manning but drew really thoughtful answers and I wanna you hear the whole thing. the entire press conference where actually. I don't know if i got to ask a question. In fact i didn't and i took exception to but it was remedied. I ask the first question to teddy so here though is drew talking about the mindset of the competition and getting the chance to work with peyton manning this offseason think being in a quarterback competition and then sort of say if you were to say last year not being in one your mindset does change. It'll come into your key. Dorothy quarterback for this team and that's the mindset. That i have right now. I'm excited to be able to be there at this competition in push myself to hold level that Wouldn't have gotten to without this as far as aden as he can be able to give. His time was worth a lot of to my game with more than i think. I'll ever realizing for him dating do that for me in taking the time on his day to be able to do that a. so subtle things where like i am. More is on on film on technique from guy. That's the best for best for a really long. Time was nice having my courtroom dealer with a couple of for you. How were you able to blackout the rumors of the broncos activity. This autism was stafford. Maybe watson maybe rogers maybe fields was that difficult on no or not no. It was not. Because i decided that i was gonna develop a plan in this offseason really long days but it was gonna be worth every single second of

"Is like, what a world we live in that he, you know, he sends out this one little thing and everybody freaks out and everybody freaks out. He if he was what the Broncos thought he was going to be when they brought him in as a free agent. This wouldn't even be a thing right? This wouldn't like. That's the problem for John James. Right now, Right is We have got to a point where last year when he opted out. We said Well, the Broncos are going to retain his rights. Because it would be too big of a dead cap hit to move on. But we have since moved on from that point altogether. In fact, you've been saying on this show for a little while now been that you think that there's a good possibility. Based on not only what his production has been with this team, the fact that they have new GM but also his relationship with the offensive line in the locker room. He's gonna have to repair that. If he's gonna be sticking around the team's looking into the various different options, including cutting him and whether they're gonna hit him with the post to one or not. You do it post. You want its revenue neutral you do before then I think it's Zixia Million and savings 13 dead against six million savings. I think, um, let's go back and look, but I think that's it and so They're looking at options, including try to trade and see if anybody was trade for S O. You know, I think that's a situation that's gonna be a while before it's resolved on. But I was talking to somebody about that today. I must talk to Rick about that today and you know, and we're you know who would play right tackle and I'm like, Well, you probably draft pick, but you're right. You have a competition between Calvin Anderson and Elijah Wilkinson. So on do you really like both those guys? You know, we'll see. Well, of course, that's where Twitter eventually took things when they realized that this wasn't gonna be what they thought it would be. Then came the Well, let's talk about what right tackle options are going to be available for the Broncos that they do move on. From John James. You're talking about competition with existing players on the roster. We'll bring in one more tackles. Where does offensive tackle rank? Just hypothetically. John James is still on the roster. Where is offensive tackle rank now? When you decide if he's not over on this roster anymore, as it relates to Ah, hierarchy of players you're targeting in the draft still behind corner inside backer It probably 34 thing that you that you look at. Um, but it doesn't change now. Obviously, we've got through free agency and you know, it's you know that kind of stuff, but it would not be mean. The whole point of bringing Mike Munchak in was too, you know, so you could go with late rounders and coach him up, made the late rounders and coach him up. You know, and that that was the premise behind that, so you don't have to spend big time draft picks on guys and you know that nothing. So that's that's where the stands. It doesn't change. Brokers wouldn't suddenly pivot to right tackle in the first round. That's not a real thing I saw that take out there. That's not a real thing. Um, I still think that they're on corner and probably trade back. So they've got a lot. Of defense of holes. I was looking at this PROFOOTBALLFOCUS article today. That kind of did a little bit of a preview of where this team is that heading into free agency in the draft. And they went through each side of the ball and on the defensive side of the ball. They have in their opinion. Five. Question marks starters, five starters. They're not counting drug cases on this roster. They're not really counting Von Miller right now on this roster, not counting Alexander Johnson. Even right now on this roster, don't have a corner starting corner, right? Bryce Callahan and Michael Llodra. Media are starters, but they don't have 13. And then they're not counting Justine Simons. Yet, Right? Then they shouldn't. So five questions we're talking about for the Broncos on the office of side of the ball. They only get to question marks in their opinion quarterback right? And then their opinion, right tackle right to two holes for the Broncosoffense believe five holes on the defensive side. My give a little bit more credence to your I'd rather have those draft picks conversation. The.

"It's gonna be kind of interesting. Nick points us out on Twitter asking us well, we have to immediately elevate defensive end if Shelby doesn't come back, so let's go out in a scenario. Where does that slot in all of a sudden? If Shelby Harris is not part of this team, you did bring back Justine Simons. You kept Von Miller where his defensive end now for you. I have said from the beginning, I think the Broncos need to address all four levels of defense. I think you need to get the defensive line. I think you need to get an edge rusher. I think you need inside back right corner thanking your safety. I think all those things you need, the drafts would be a very defensive heavy draft, and I agree. If you don't have Shelby that becomes a priority. You know? Yeah. In Vic Fangio's defense, you have to be able to generate pressure from the front four or five. You have to that it starts there on then the rest of it falls into place is not like other defense is where you get corners that can cover on an island and that they'll lock a guy down and tell your defense keyhole. That's more the way Philip's philosophy, right? Vic Fangio. It starts up front. It actually does. And you know those up front Guys make the back end better. And so you need. You need guys that could get home with it. And if they can't get home that we need to find guys who you gotta have a high pass pass Rush Women rate. So if you don't get Shelby Harris, do you swing for the fences on high end defensive line like they tried to last year, or do they go Maura again value? And then they look to address in the draft. I think it's kind of an interesting philosophy moment for them, because because you go after like a letter Williams like that, since I think you look for guys that fix worked with before and if he feels comfortable, and then you go ahead and pay for him. And if not, then you go to the draft. I really just think you look at you know, guys like letter Florida What Ziggy Goldman gonna be available this year. Nice looking, You know, guys like that, Hicks, you know, guys that fix worked with And you say, Okay, well, they know the system. It was keen. Vic knows he can get production out of him. I think we'll go ahead and actually pay for the East where we might have otherwise tried toe, you know, cut corners on costs. So you know, it's again with Vic Fangio's defense because you want everybody in the back end zones and you, everybody, The back had to be able to go. You got to be able to get home that from 45, and we saw how valuable being able to do that was in the Super Bowl. Look, look in Tampa. And he was able to take Vic's Fanjuls blueprint and get home with those guys on the text line. The sheer amount of time Ben saves me. We're playing this. Do they fit game is greatly appreciated. No sarcasm. Yeah, well, I mean, it does. I think it's it's good too. I mean, honestly, we That's one of the reasons why we were kind of rolling through to me. Especially in light of the age. A boy a news we wanted to mean we both I think the cornerback as well in the poll, it was the other thing. The Bouvier wasn't really considered a fit Last year, he's a trail technique and corner that they thought, you know that Vic thought he could plug him in and make him a guy. So you know a zoo? Much as you say, I'm saving you time there again just because I don't think they're fit. Maybe doesn't this coaching staff might think they are Other one here. Any chance the Broncos keep Calvin Anderson is a swing tackling little Isar Wilkinson leave. I had to keep both. Um, um I think they like both those guys. I think you're I think they're pretty satisfied with their death right now, Right? They've got to figure out the John James thing. I think they want to punt that How much they actually get in terms of savings over cost. I mean, it's gonna It would eat up something like 16 Million and dead. But you might actually get three million and savings and if they do, and they feel comfortable off in the lodge and Calvin old, they'll do it. How do you feel about that? As the It's a long term but leave. Let's just say this year if if you were going in with the idea that either Calvin Anderson or Elijah Wilkinson is your starter, or you're having you in open competition to right tackle. Where does that put is your level of confidence in the offensive line? I think you're pretty satisfied with the rest of the offense of line. If it's healthy, well, that's not my question. I know so I think that you have a competition there. Hopefully one of these guys, I mean, like Elijah, you know he's playing injured last couple of years. If he could get healthy, you know, he's a pretty good player Mike Munchak likes. It has an eye for that talent that said he struggled with speed rushers because he's had injury on his foot. You can't get out in the kick slide fast enough and that the speed guys tend to best him. So you know, that's really the problem. Calvin played admirably filling in there. Forget Bulls. I thought he looked pretty good in that gas, the best he's ever looked be honest with you. I was thoroughly unimpressed with his tenure with the Jets. There you go. That's what Mike Munchak does for you. Coach is these guys, especially for a smart guy. Then you could really excel with my one shag. And Calvin. Really? Is that guy? So you know, I I I don't know if I'm confident. I'm cautiously optimistic is probably the best this phrase if we're going in to have a competition, we're doing those, too if you want. James is there and they accept him back in the locker room than you know the cool, But if they don't we gotta move on. Okay, There's little bit of a chemistry thing happening there. That's one way to put it. Yeah, I mean, again. I'm being being gentle, delicate, but it's you know, that's the thing like it's you know, I mean, football's a different animal man. And you know you offensive line those guys tight knit group, but it's tough. You know, if you know when, when guys have putting their bodies on the line, invest Thing in that, and you know I don't get the wrong I understand. You want James opting out at the same time. You know, you get guys who didn't They put their bodies on the line, and it's tough sometimes to reform that esprit de Corps when one of those guys is just coming in after you know, after state of the couch while everybody else was out there, working three or 3713 85 85 his skill it's still there. All right, let's let's get skilled in here before we hit the brake. What's up skillet? Not much at Cincinnati, Journalists said winces on the market and then falls is on the market. But I got news for you. Falls is real expensive because Chicago picked up that money from Jacksonville, so you could just write that off. And you wanna hear some inside information straight. I Aspen straight from my cousin. Yeah. Ever Broncos are going to get Nick. I mean, they're gonna get Carson Wentz for a three way player Trade Bond. Demons. And Lindsay. So when you guys were down there, scouting the senior ball, who was the best runner down there? Michael Carmichael. Carter. Probably. Yeah. Okay, well, just welcome him to the Broncos. Theresa Skillet. He's saying the trading Justine Simons and Von Miller and Phillip canceled Lindsay to get Carson.

"All rights are reacting to the massive breaking news. Perkin Rosenthal, of course, covers MLB for The athletic cardinals have agreed to acquire Nolan are Renato from the Rockies. And the deal, of course, is pending approval. He also tweeted out recently that it will be unlikely to be official tonight. And maybe even not this weekend are about a will need to formally waive his no trade clause and this opt out after 2021. That also has to be addressed. So he says, approved from L B and the union is also necessary so that a massive deal on according to Ken Rosenthal, the Rockies look like they'll be sending 50 million in the process, so they're losing their cornerstone. Arguably one of the best third baseman of all time. They're also sending 50 million and they're getting back in what is being sort of an expected trade. We don't know the official names just yet because it can roll the Rosenthal throughout a few names, and they have a combined, I guess. 100 wife 25 innings worth of actual playtime. Austin Garber's the guy that's actually played the most of this group. He's a lefty Lucan Baker for Spacemen outfielder John Tourists. Hey, said he could include righty Jake Woodford and writing Angel Run, Don't But right now that Z kind of what this is sort of shaping up, and none of these prospects, by the way, are in the cardinal's top 10. Of their farm system. Yes, this is absurd. You basically traded If this holds you basically traded again the best third basement to play the game all around third baseman to play the game. Since Brooks Robinson and you pay them $50 million to stay in the National League and get back to guys who have 120 combined innings of major league experience and no top 10 prospects from an organization that's pretty rough. That's about as bad as it gets. But again he had the 2021. He had a chance to walk away from everything the Rockies get nothing, so I think in their mind It's a desperation move. They were thinking to themselves and look at me were found a month out from this thing starting up, so they're probably the mindset. I'm not. I'm not defending him. Probably the mindset that if they don't do something, now they get nothing in return. So you leak some of the talks on this and get other teams to the table. The massive contract and tell me you think the only team that's interested is the Cardinal's nowhere. Renato in his prime, of course not. I just man and they kept him in the National League. People say I don't criticize anybody. So listen up. They got embarrassed on this one. This is worse than this is worse than the Texans and Nuke Hopkins. Significantly worse. Yeah, We're getting a lot of Bill O'Brien, Texas. Our Texas like this is a joke. It's embarrassingly bad. A lot of people are like that. What did Bill O'Brien as he managing the Rockies from Jared? It's good. Yeah, they're, uh, This is a tough one for Rockies fans around. No, no questions is a tough one. All right, we'll take a step side of that coverage. But of course you could hit us up on the Texas side with reaction will get back to it in a little bit 56690, But we head out to the hotline and bring on Broncos offensive tackle Calvin Anderson joining us here on Broncos country tonight, Calvin, You're always right. Edwards and Benjamin. All right. Thanks for holding on, man. How are you? Ryan. Ben, I'm doing good man. A lot of Broncos country have to be on here talking to you guys. Yeah, we're thrilled to talk to you. You know, one of things that I hadn't had a chance to ask you. And of course we If we had locker room access this year would have been one of the first questions I would have is what happened The morning of that Carolina Panthers game. What went through your head when they hit you up and said, Okay, by the way. You're starting left tackle because there is a difference. There's a difference of prepping all week for the possibility and then legitimately finding out that morning. You're playing what happened there. Yeah, It's crazy. The amount of times I've been asked this question. And you guys imagine that the person who actually told me that was gonna be playing was Mike Munchak. So one of the most calm and still the guys I know. And he calls me the morning of probably With his mind racing obviously about it, not anticipating he was gonna wake up toe learn this left tackle is gonna be out. So he calls me about 30 minutes before we head to the stadium on the bus is that Hey, Calvin, Um Did you hear the news? Because me and Gary are pretty close. So he was kind of out of, um, take care was gonna be out because he was sick. So I hadn't heard anything yet. So he I was like, no coach. I would have no idea what you're talking about. Like Well, you're gonna be starting today. I mean, the mean. Luckily, Coach prepares assaults where, Um, In any moment, you guys you know, slide and all these guys like at any moment. If we do have to play, he's he's fully confident in us. But there is still like a probably an hour and a half period of shock. Where I really was not, um not understanding how real the moment Woz and I think once I got to the stadium, I kind of took it in and understood that. Hey, This just went from, you know What my normal role is every week, Tonto giving this a chance to win my starting at left tackle. Now they're bulls was a little upset because he wanted to play. You know, he went to play in this but at the same time like he was your biggest cheerleader, didn't you? Didn't you reside with parables and his family for a little while? Yeah, me and get it actually live together this season. It was a decision we made early in camp because of because of the uncertainty of the season would covet. And then it just kind of stuck. And, you know, I had a good relationship with Natalie and the kids, and it worked out perfectly. So Yeah, I get Even though he was so upset that he didn't play..

"Big al, You look at this game to foreign eight teams. Um, no Christian McCaffrey, but I think a very dangerous Quarterback and Teddy Bridgewater. What's the game plan is you see it from the Broncos defensive perspective in terms of getting this Panthers offense stopped a bit, You know, looking at this offense, Dave. It's clear that the Carolina Panthers are they're focused on what they want to do, and it's not turn the football over. I think when you go out and make it Um, um, agreement with a guy like Teddy Bridgewater. You understand that? You know that this guy's gonna come in and protect the football and That's what he's done there with Carolina Panthers? Yes, two excellent receiver that he'll put the action, no tidy and really the really challenged the safeties like we've been challenged in the past. And, um, Mike Davis, the intelligent running back. We'll get some shots out of the backfield because that's Ah That's what Teddy Bridgewater does. He's called Captain. Check down for a reason. So I think that they're gonna target our depleted secondary and try to find like David as often as they can You have the slip the flip the page here and look at the Broncos offense, and I think we start with their offensive line. Ah lot of moving parts in this thing. Today we find out the gear bowls has some sort of illness. He will not play so Calvin Anderson will get his second start of the season on this start will be it left tackle a grand glass cow course with that foot injury last week. He's not even on the trips on the tiny Muti, the sixth round draft choice that our Fresno State starts to right guard tomorrow. Dotson is not starting a tackle. So he lies your Wilkinson. Starts at right tackle me you played in the other side of the ball. But if you look at this, many changes on an offensive line that looked like the last couple of weeks was starting to really sort of gain some traction. What does that do to the consistency of an office of life? Well, I think that first of all, I'm most excited, you know, like Everybody goes into a season expecting to see one guy play the one guy Dave. I've been waiting the seed play all year. Long is the tiny movie Because this guy is a real road braver. He is a tone setter for the offensive line. I didn't care how he got in and because of injury, he's entered into the game. I think Glass scout would be a nice move over to center. Muti is the guy that I'm most excited about. And to the original question of what does this do to an offensive line? It creates chaos, and if the team is willing to go different looks at blitzes. At the quarterback, then, of course team that announced showing three of the five starting offensive lineman is new with issues this week, Although we know ELISA Wilkerson has been a starter before. He hasn't been next to no Taani Muti. Their communication has to be loud. And once that communication happened in the defense knows exactly where they're gonna go Protection, which gives a defensive lineman the linebackers. Ah, better understanding about how they have to take their angles towards the quarterback. It's not ideal, especially if the team wants to go out and they want to push it and bless the team. No doubt about that, Al. Thanks. Enjoy the game. It's gonna be a good one man. Let's go. No Taani Muti, let's go. Absolutely. "From kickoff between the foreign aid Broncos and the four and eight Carolina Panthers. But the big story of the morning is what's happening with the Broncos offensive line. You're a bowls it active for today's game with illness, not covert related. Graham glass go, We'd already know he was not going to play in this game. He is out and the Broncos opting to make a change at right tackles. You have three different Changes there on the offensive line. Let's head out to the stadium and checking with voice of the Broncos, Dave Logan and my goodness, Dave. Things have changed rather quickly as it looks like Calvin Anderson will be starting at left tackle the Tani Moody, making his first start of the season, the rookie offensive guard at right guard, and then you're gonna slot in Elijah Wilkinson, who was Juan Jeans back up. He's back in his role at right tackle. What? Your thoughts. Well, you know what, Ryan? My thoughts are lots of moving pieces, Which is not not good. I think when it comes to offensive line play, you can No, it's much easier to slot in another wide receiver, even a defensive back. But when you start making this money changes in the offensive line, that's an issue and we'll see how they played today. Big Era bulls This would have been a 61st. Consecutive start. This is the first game in the National Football League that he's missed since being a first round draft choice out of Utah. Calvin Anderson, who will start is Aziz Ryan said at left tackle. This will be his second start. 20,020 Tani Muti, The rookie out of Fresno State starts for grand glass cow, obviously his first start of his NFL career, and it lies you. Wilkinson will be the right tackle. He's played plenty. Tomorrow. Dotson will be the swing tackle as we welcome you, Dave Logan. Rick Lewis were sequestered here.

"Shorten the game with run game. They definitely are. That's right. They're gonna shorten the game. You know that the road the Raiders gonna do. They could have short passes. Their car is gonna get a lot of short passes. I would be shocked if he if he pushes Towards 80% completion on the day And then you're gonna have some mixture of Josh Jacobs and Devante Booker coming up the Broncos and the Broncos In their hand. They realized the last two weeks through one of the reasons they got in the hole in the first half of both those games was they just had no run attack whatsoever. Nothing worked in the run, and they sort of band in it because they got in such a deep hole. So I kind of feel like both teams early on, are going to kind of come at this thing with a little bit more conservative play. They're going to kind of come up with the short to intermediate. They're going to come out there with a little bit of their the run game, Seeing what they can establish kind of work on that time of possession. Most the fireworks. I sort of expected the second half. Well, that's certainly been the way it's been for the Broncos last couple of weeks. I expected to come out hot on the script. I expected really hammer home, but they've got to score early in this game. Okay. You think it could be either way? Well, I mean, I still think the problem's corner second half, but I think that there Going to make a concerted effort to acquire points on that first, Dr specifically because they realized that you can't get behind on the Raiders and let them come downhill on you because they will and they'll come downhill and then they hit you with each shot, play action, haggle or drugs, and it'll be over, you know, but they will shorten the game to the point where it will just be over. Um so I think the Broncos know that they have to come out and kind of punch the Raiders in the mouth. I wouldn't even be surprised to see if they win the toss. They took the ball first. Mm. Like that, so they Broncos will have a new right tackle Calvin Anderson will be starting there at right tackle, according to Brandon for stark a way Broncos insider This was sort of telegraphed over the course of the week. You knew that old Jake Rodgers and Amar Dotson. We're kind of banged up and this is the fifth string right tackle. The Broncos will be rolling out there because again, John James Still counts is the starter even though he's not here this year. The fifth string right tackle, though there's some optimism is from cotton like like, I don't know if it banjo said that he was cautiously optimistic that he played pretty well. I don't think he really has a choice one way or the other. But we know that Calvin Anderson's a big dude, he's got some athleticism, Get some intelligence. But has not obviously had much opportunity to put it all together on the field just yet. Yeah, he's had some had some struggles a times with both power and speed rush. He's a great athlete, more athletes and football player, I think, but he said, You know, he's a smart guy. Everybody talks about the Rubik's Cube stuff is just a smart guy in general without the Rubik's cube stuff, But, um, I It's gonna be interesting to see how he does because he's gonna have Max Crosby. Across from him now the Raiders defensive line. Not particularly good. They're strong. They're not very fast and and they just don't get after the quarterback very well outside of Crosby. S so it's gonna be interesting to see how he holds up. This is probably the weakest defensive line that the Broncos have played all year on DSA. So you know if you don't if you're if you're giving up pressure and you're giving up sacks in this game That's a problem. Especially once you got Graham Glass. Go back, right, So we can't blame this one on Austin Sloper, if you're if you're going to get if you were going to get Calvin out there for a game, this is the one to get him out there for all right. Three. Or 3713. 85 85, sir. Phone number 56690. If you have any questions about the week 10 Slate, we're gonna get into it when we come back, including our wagers spotlight. Roger by urban lights. "In your season long leagues And if you're doing daily fantasy, I prefer draft kings won a couple bucks on draftkings a few weeks ago. Well, they've got you covered there as well. Broncos Game Day Big Alan Jo Jo at 11 and then Countdown to kickoff. Ryan Edwards in the cast of thousands take you right up until kickoff 205 the Broncos in Sin City to play the Raiders. Yes, the Las Vegas Raiders that matter what city they playing, whether it's Oakland L. A Oakland again or Vegas. We know that Broncos country hates the Raiders. In fact, Phillip Lindsay, who grew up in this rivalry or around this rivalry. Even though the Raiders haven't been good for 20 years. Here's what he said this week when I asked him About the Raiders rivalry. Does he still have that sense of The rivalry between his hometown Broncos and the Raiders. Yeah. I mean, definitely. The writers have been arrival for since since I've been since I've been born. I've always known about the Raiders. It's a physical, physical game, and it's gonna be a physical game. We all know that. And I think we need to go in. There is the divisional game. You know this? I just gotta win all our divisional games You find on the way to win with more out of our division, But we gotta handle our division so that we can we can get back to where we want to be. And this is gonna be a big test for us when it comes to the physicality. And you know to be discipline, and we know which way to win this game. We have to score points with this. If you ask Broncos fans and I think our pals on the afternoon show here on K away Big Island Judge I did a poll and Asked who the Broncos rival was and the Raiders. I believe one going away. The Chargers were definitely the lowest and I think it was chief. But the Raiders, I think had more than 50% of the vote. Now, when you look at this matchup today, both Oh, lines banged up the Broncos, though less banged up. You've got grand glass. Go back after two weeks on covert the rookie Lloyd Cushion Barrett Center Glascow. Of course, you're right Guard. Dalton Prisoner hasn't missed a game yet in his pro career, even though we thought he might a couple weeks ago and then Garrett Bolles hasn't missed a game either and is in line to get paid big time. And as crazy as that sounds, it will likely be by the Broncos on a New contract. Near or at the end of the year or shortly thereafter. But on the right side, it's been a revolving door. John James is penciled in and then late in the summer, he decides to opt out. The Broncos are kind of Left in a lurch. So they put out your welcome Elijah Wilkinson, who they had pencil in to be the swing tackle slash compete with Garrett balls at left tackle. He played a lot of snaps. Their last year, in fact, started almost every game except for The two that James started and then the last one of the year on Jake Rogers started cause Elijah was hurt. So he had plenty experience there, But they weren't overly excited that you saw lies early in the year. He gets hurt. He goes on. I r. He's actually set toe come off. I are here in the next couple of weeks, but they, Fangio said this week he wouldn't be ready to go because he's missed. Six games. So you'd signed Amar Dotson towards the middle of training camp, and you need that veteran presence just to have, I think was comforting. Some people were calling. Formerly. Once Elijah goes down, he's in there. And then he hurts his hip against the Falcons. Jake Rogers comes in. Well, Jake Roger gets hurt in practice this week, I was told by a Bronco source that if Damar Dotson practice Friday, there's a good chance he'd play. But yesterday I broke the news. Well. Last night I broke the news. Calvin Anderson is going to start at right tackle Who's Calvin Anderson? Well, he's a second year player. Out of the University of Texas. He was undrafted by the Patriots Let go and then picked up by the Jets let go by the Jets, and the Broncos scooped him up pretty early last season. He's appeared in eight games. Almost not almost all the special teams all on special teams, but I was told by a personnel guy in the league that he's really athletic. They just hope that he's not overly aggressive. And then I talkto veteran Broncos player who told me that Calvin Anderson Is really athletic and has a bit of the mean streak, And in fact, they said, Calvin will be fine. It was their exact wording so It's not that you're overly encouraged with the guy that's technically fifth on the depth chart, but this isn't a guy. They just signed up The street who they're hoping can figure it out. Here's what Vic Fangio said Friday when he was asked how Calvin Anderson has come along in his time here in Denver. I think he's developed. Well, um I like what I see it, and I know our defensive players respect him and his ability. I think Mike and crew have done a good job bringing him along and if he has to play on Sunday I'm kind of anxious to see him play and I think he'll play well. It's funny. Had another brontosaurus tell me that they're looking forward to seeing what Anderson could do to long term right tackle is not solved. John James, very likely unless he decides to stay retired, have become retired. We'll come back next year and make $14 million. But that could be the end of his run here. You think their balls is likely going to sign a left tackle? There's a chance of that. If he does make it free agency. He gets so much money somewhere else that the Broncos may have to rely on moving. Calvin Anderson Toe left tackle early's having in battle with Elijah Wilkinson and Calvin Harrison is a left tackle. He was drafted or not drafted a projected his last left back on the draft, played left tackle the University of Texas and he's definitely got more experience at left tackle, but we'll see His athleticism and his mean streak and be tamed but used against the Raiders. Now the race is on the other side are really banged up Tramp Brown, the biggest right tackle, I think the highest paid right tackle in football. He's been out for a few weeks with Coke over 19 and then was getting treated and had a I think a bubble in his I V. Getting fluids in Cleveland had to stay in hospital, including he's out for a month. Richie incognito, starting left guard. I believe been out almost all year, and Colton Miller, left tackle who played great and hadn't missed Start had to miss his first start of his career, the first rounder out of U. C. L a last week and he is listed as doubtful not expected to go so they're banged up up front and then they don't get after the quarterback much they only have on the year. Nine sacks That is 30th in the league. Compared to say, your Broncos who are a thin the league with 22 sex. So Max Krouse speaking if they're off the edge, but they'll give Calvin Anderson enough help when you look at it. The rest of the injury. Report. Jerry Judy deal with shoulder I expect him to play Tim Patrick, with his hamstring comes off the INS report on Friday. He was a full participant, both cornerbacks..

"Underway for Day two. What conditions in Augusta for the 84th Masters and it's November about April. So we've seen the lowest scoring opening round in tournament history. 17 players four under better. Paul Casey finished his opening around in sole possession of the top spot at 700 yesterday. But as they finish up the first round with the afternoon groups this morning, Dylan for telling a South African world number one Dustin Johnson have caught Casey to also get the 700. We'll start there. Second round in a matter of minutes. Those other two players to players 600, Justin Thomas and Sung Jae Emma, South Korea, four players at five under Tiger Woods, who tees off 12 30 Mountain time as well as two time champ 63 year old Bernhardt Longer are four under the Broncos final full practice of the week, though I walk through tomorrow, then get on a plane and head to Las Vegas, Sir. Inaugural trip to check out Legion stadium. Vic Fangio joined us little early on Colorado's morning news in the head coach was going to make any excuses for the injuries that continue to mount up for his team, and it's just the way it goes sometimes you know, in in the NFL, you know we've probably had more than our fair share from this year, but Guys have been resilient. They battled past that and I'm confident we'll get past this issue to the issue at hand because he had referenced it just a little earlier. The right tackle situation big question Mark Elijah Wilkinson working his way back from my art. He's already missed six weeks. The Mark Dotson starting in his place hurt his hip against the Falcons, even working on the side all week. Jake Rogers, who came in for Johnson, he injured his shoulder and practice this week so we could see Calvin Anderson, who's fourth on the active depth chart. Yeah, John James, and you're in there. That is your fifth tackle on the depth chart here in 2020, but looks like it could be a true game time decision. Also Jerry Judy nursing a sore shoulder, but I expect we will see him Sunday against the Raiders kick off two of five from Vegas. Our coverage starts with Broncos warm Oppa's I Bring that to you at 8 A.m. to kick off the Broncos broadcast day. CSU went up to the blue turf in Boise and came home disappointed. "Pat Shurmur is gonna be a head coach again sooner than later. But they're certainly not doing that yet. Which makes you think for sure Pat Shurmur will be back next year. Fangio said that he thinks the the interaction between the two of them is going is going really well or whatever he said that that they're getting along fine. And look, he's leaving most of the offense to Pat Shurmur and then overruling And offering his input as necessary. But we know Vic is focused on the defense, and we know that Shermer basically has the keys to the offense. So yeah, let's let's talk in a year and see where this offenses but also when you look at your other M v P candidates, right, it's Josh Alan. He's been with John McDermott, Brian Day ball for a couple years. It's obviously my homes and Andy Reid. It's Lamar Jackson in to some degree, he's been with Greg Roman his entire career. Russell Wilson and Brian Brian Schottenheimer have been together Aaron Rodgers here, too, with metal floor, but that's Aaron Rodgers, right? We're talking about one of the three best cubes and if I'm leaving anybody out, I apologize, but The one thing those guys haven't even Drew Brees. He's doing his dial. Then he and Sean Payton been together. This is season 14. So those are the teams that are really at the top. I guess you could say it's impressive that Joe Burrow And, uh Justin Herbert have Put up numbers, but they're not winning games. They've certainly put up some numbers and now to a swell and Kyla include Kingsbury's one to Keep an eye on in the M V P conversation. I think in years to come, but but you're absolutely right then they just need Theo be together longer and then I think you can evaluate their relationship address and a couple weeks ago and I'm going on for a long time. But you said maybe last week that he knows when he comes on Tuesday. He's a pretty good idea. What that's gonna have in the game plan doesn't mean that it's all gonna work and that it's the best place, but it's there at least thinking along the same wave length and I think that's a really big thing. Bringing Crystal Kaylie Broncos insider joining us here. What's the likelihood that Calvin Anderson 1/5 string right tackle will play in this game that start in this game, considering what's going on with Amar Dotson? And Rodgers, Jake Rodgers. It seems it seems very high at this point, right? Jake Rogers. I guess he hurt his shoulder in practice yesterday, Right? And I wasn't sure. We didn't hear about him pre practice that he was limited. And so I guess I could do a little more digging on that. And Tamara Dobson. I'm looking at him on the side field with the hurt guys. And usually when you're over there The chances that you get Ready to go, Um By Sunday seem almost impossible. I get that's her little a little different, right? But, um, I think that when you look at it and you say Is Calvin Anderson ready At this point, I don't really have a choice. And then it's a good thing. Grand Glass goes coming back, right? And maybe Nick Man that's gonna be on the field a lot so you can help combination and I don't know what they have in combination. He was okay player, Texas. There's a reason that he's never played an NFL game really other than special teams snap so, but it seems really like because we heard David Elijah Wilkinson and, understandably, even out six weeks. That he's not gonna be ready to go. Even though he has begun his three weeks of IR return practice, it's gonna be at least another week or two until Elijah's back. And as far as the rest of the injuries very quickly. We got about a minute a half here. The rest of the injuries we talked about Jerry Jerry Jerry Judy Early on, did not practice yesterday got in the limited work today, seeing Justice Simmons and AJ Booyah getting in full work as well as Noah fans of some of these guys. I mean, are you concerned about, say, Tim, Patrick Deonte Spencer Bryce Callahan, where we had with those guys. Uh, am I concerned? Well, Spencer is the one that I think you're most concerned about Callahan because his ankle was a knish you on Sunday and and even I joke that it was because of Julio Jones. We know he's gonna play. He's playing at a really high level of weeks. Angela talked about and Profootballfocus reaffirmed putting him on their mid season. I guess that they call it an all pro team. But you know, top players at their position and s. So I think that you'll get Callaghan back. Boy is the one you know we talked him today. I think he's he's raring to go. Spencer. I think you got a You gotta hope that he could get back on the field because I think I read pleadings. Okay, It's a kick returner, but is Tom McMahon said that he needs to see things better and kiss your hand. It'll probably be good if you got to do this all the time. But you don't want to do it all The time. You want to go, maybe be back there in spot duty. You want him? Becoming a bigger part of this offense and in no event told us today he feels good. I think he's one of those guys that just battling through stuff. So on the injury front, it feels like they're getting a little healthier but no Shelby Harris because of coded and fourth or fifth string right tackle, depending on how you look at John James on his stature on the team or status on the team. That's concerning, I think for for the folks of yourself training center that have to come up with a game plan. All right. Thank you. PK appreciate the time. Thanks, guys. I'll talk.

"Getting these guys prepared. You are third in the NFL in penalties committed home or road. It doesn't really matter. I mean, I could go into the splits, but even more in that you just take a look. That said, okay, that that is a team that is dialed in. So when you have 12 men on the field penalties and and moments where just everything isn't clicking. I think you wonder why Sometimes sometimes mistaken compound. You know, we talked about quicksand. Every once in a while we referenced the replacements and all that, but it's a real thing. Sometimes you make a mistake in the press harder to do that in a basal worse, you know, I mean, you know, eat. Melvin Gordon desperately wants to make a place. He's got the adrenaline. Jack. Come back here. You know, I had to do I had I had the strep. Oh, sitting out a week, and fans are booing me and they're all the same. No need to be traded. I need to make a play. And you get out there always flea flicker. Okay, all right, so you get out there and you're running this and the adrenaline's pumping, And then you lobbed the ball backwards like it's an alley oop to LeBron James and Andrew Lock is doing his best to his hands on and then also, you know, it's just one thing after those mistakes, compound and then I'll say You realize we're in a hole because we just gave him a special teams. We had to turn over those customs, so I've got to make a big play. We got to get back on the board right now. So I'm firing this ball in there and you throw it behind the guy and he tips it up those You know, there's all kind of a list of the compounds and you don't have the benefit of the crowd in this case. Put you back in and at a ball, You know that kind of stuff. That is a part of it. I mean, these guys are at the end of the day entertainers and they're playing to it, you know, playing to an empty theatre. The great point. And in that case, the Broncos fans probably would have especially being that cold would have probably had a really hard time. Another part of this when you get cold like that, and you can't warm up like and it's funny to watch. You guys go out there with the bear shirt and all that kind of stuff. But today you get cold. You just constantly affect your miserably cold. And you're not thinking about the same things you think about when you're home. You're Stasis is perfect. You know when that environment around used perfect. You're not thinking about the same things you're thinking about. How do I get warm instead of okay. I got to make sure I'm not cheat my left foot out here and giving away my set. I got to make sure I'm not. You know, I'm gonna make sure I'm not giving away with my hips that snap what direction I'm going. I got to make sure you know you're not thinking about those things and they have even called out here. You know, I mean it, Sze just a natural human thing. And, you know, I I think that that zoo combination they were up against a better football team already and let's let's let's be honest right now. Kids. Veggies are a better football team. Uh, they're up against a better football team in the cold. You've got incredibly young offense. You got a quarterback who's still got some lingering effects from his injury. You know, you're short handed at different positions you got Ah, Left guard, gut it out. You know, after after some issues that he had a weak game time decision when they're played, you know, and then you go out there in the margins are so thin. You can't make those mistakes. But in the text line here, 56690 Damar Dotson is the size and speed of an apartment elevator. Yeah, He's basically like the mountain on game of Thrones. You know, like a huge but you could dance around it right? I guess I don't know I I am a I guess compared to the two of us. I'm more of a glass half full. I see what what could be if they didn't even have tomorrow's Dotson? Because then it would be Jake Rodgers. And in my often Anderson or Calvin Anderson, I don't want to see Calvin Anderson. I'd like to see him, but I can understand the argument against A season full. I've seen it before. And it would pretty well I would hope that it would be improved without like Galaxies. Smart guy. Oh, yeah, I like that. So I'd like to a mountain of a man. He also amount of it. I'd love to see it may have improved from the last time that he was out there attempting to be a NFL tackle. I love a good comeback story, so, Yeah, well, and and so you you tend to come at this as you want the requisite athleticism of that position. To be able to not tip your hand that your age, not going to be running anything athletic, where he's going to have to be out in front blocking too much, or you're gonna have to be able to do any screens that side. You don't want to have to worry about having it. Basically have limitations. That's that's where I'm reading you for the most part because it felt like he's been A complete liability knowing he has and I don't want to be taken for that. But what I'm saying is when you have him out there, you've tipped your hand or what you're not going and so much of football is about not tipping your hand. So much of football's about that. Ah, and when you have him out there at right tackle, you know you are not running a screen to that side. You know that. Period. And so that takes one thing out of the mind of defenders. I don't have to defend that. You know, I want everything that you take away everybody. Every every processing cycle that you take away in the brain is one klick quicker for that guy to get to the quarterback. But I do appreciate that. We are past the days where we're having conversations. Really, for both tackles about boy they really need to put in somebody else to chip or hey, we needed extra tight in on that side because it's pretty evident that that guy can't handle anything. One on one. Your old dairy bulls doing great Art Johnson is not a liability. You think Garrett Bulls is no longer liabilities of strength More? Dodson is not exactly a liability. Although there have been some place where you're just like I can try to remember the play last against the cheese, and I can't remember which one it wass worry. He was standing here. Not but like the heat off the ball didn't block anybody. And there was a D B that came in from his right. There was no the end drop back into coverage. He didn't double up on the guy to his left, and he didn't pick up the D be honest, right? He's just kind of stood there and blocked Nobody. That's where I'll go find that one. So yeah, let's go back and find the grab on that. But Well more anything. If we're talking about struggles on the offensive line right now, it's it's more about your center, and it's about some of the interior work come or text here. It's AH, from Christ. It's a bold move to hurt yourself. Play this bad this early just to write your own redemption story, But I'm sold right now. Lock is playing three D chess. I don't think that's exactly how he wrote it up. But we did say that we we appreciated how Locke used his time off, talked about it last year. When.

"And this is a conversation I got in with somebody on Twitter about this because They said. Why would either have Josh Jones than anybody The Broncos have on the rostrum like I wouldn't have much rather have Wilkinson over Josh Jones at least this year, and we could talk about whatever whatever. But that's that's that's kind of the point. The Broncos, and I don't know everything that there is to know about what their decision making or what they believe in their depth. It just seems to me that they felt pretty comfortable with their death. And with their current offensive tackles when they went through this draft process, Otherwise they wouldn't have made the decisions that they ultimately made. I'll put it to you this way. Hall of Fame Offensive line coach Mike Munchak took a look at these guys and said, Hey, coach, check and wait with him. Get the other pieces, and I'm sorry. I'm going to trust that man's judgment over, you know, screaming Internet guy could've would've should've the one thing I will give Broncos fans, the ones that are a little frustrated. I'll give them this. Right tackle position for the Broncos, or the last several years has been brutal. I mean this affair very fair. It's not all in John James that you can't put all of their own John James shoulder because he just got here for James got here. It's before Mum chat got here. I very fair point. Very valid point if you want to talk on that, but But at the end of the day, I'm going to trust Mike. One checks. Judgment was very high, and Elijah will concern by the way to the to the point where it was him and Gary will be competing to start it left. So you know, at the end of the day, I think I could look at this and you say We brought in a coach to be the guy to coach these up. Let's let him do his job is certainly a good point there, not giving Elijah Wilkinson an opportunity to compete for left tackle if they don't believe in him, and he was a guy as we've put in a multiple multiple times on this show. He was the guy that they would have given that opportunity to, even during the season last year, they would have given him opportunities in season at left tackle. If we're not for John James injury Yeah, you want. James had not been hurt, allegedly cuts. It would have started games at left tackle. Last year. There would have been a benching after the Colts game, So I'm just telling you They think very highly of Elijah woke up and I know that there's some tape on him. It was bad last year, but I'll also say this Elijah Wilkinson didn't know week to week where he was going to be playing because the coaches were kept trying to get John James out there. And it would be often times the night before the game where Elijah would find out he was actually playing tackle, even though he practiced so we could guard so let's let the man play tackle for a season in practice a tackle for a season before we finally play the judgement hammer on him, But I'm not I'm not done with Calvin Anderson. Jake Rogers. Looks like just a guy to me. But I I kind of want to see a little bit of Calvin Anderson. It comes back to your whole point about Mike Mancheck. Mancheck was here. He I would have to believe that he had the stamp of approval on bringing in Calvin Anderson off the Jets practice squad. Yeah, Anderson, I I saw some tape on him and it was it was brutally bad. There's nowhere to go, but up up, I'll put it to you that way. Hopefully, hopefully Mike can coach him up and he could be the guy that they envisioned. But I'm not hold my breath on that If you're if you're down to Jake Rogers or Calvin Anderson, there's something your comb in the free agent list because those guys air not right now what you would call viable, serviceable stop. That's a great point. You bring up there about the free agent list because we haven't gotten to the final cut downs, everything. You're not going to find a free agent right tackle out there. That's going to be a starter that you can immediately plug in and play. You feel very confident about, but we see this every single year, even with the additional roster spot's taken up by the practice squad, having the ability to have six vets on there, you're still going to have some right tackles or just offensive tackles in general, They're going to be cut in the next few weeks that you could take a look at. So we have dots. And you have Glenn right now is the top candidates is maybe a little bit of death may be a little bit of competition. But ultimately you're gonna have to look at this position with guys on your own roster right now. Yeah. Ah, and try to get through camp that way. So it the good news is if your 100 watts this is a chance to shine, you're going get reps you wouldn't otherwise get your Calvin Anderson. If you're Jake, right, get reps you wouldn't otherwise get so. Hopefully, one of those guys is able to maximize those reps is a tough task going up against von Miller and practice every day. But, you know, I guess if you're gonna if you're gonna learn trial by fire as a way to do it, all right when we come back mad Boyer from Broncos TV is going to join us. Don't go anywhere. "Say that Because when you play against these teams, you know, knowledge is in the West. But you know, tough schedule Overall, you're gonna ask some tough passing offenses. You're going to go against with the New Orleans Saints when they come to town. You've got Tampa Bay in week three and they're wide receiving corps. And you also Carolina and also you talk about Atlanta as well. You got a lot of teams have a talented wide receiver group. It's gonna test your secondary and you've got to hope that you have the guys that are able to do that, and that are able to hold their own. I think that's gonna be the biggest test of the season. So I think that place is gonna be very critical. You knowing for Juwan James, We've got to see him for 63 snaps. Not really a big sample size overall, but I would say that used the game in the first half was pretty good. It gives you a little bit of indication. Maybe what could be Obviously, 1/2 of football is not enough. So I think that there's gonna be some eyes on the right tackle position and also like you mentioned at the quarterback spot this year, So can you separated out as What do we expect the level of expectation versus what do we need? It sounds like you kind of went a little bit more of you kind of need. We need both you guys to play doesn't know there's no denying that. I mean, you you basically went through the entire off season with the plan, especially in the draft. Saying We expect you on James. We're starting right tackle and we needed Bryce Callahan to be a starting cornerback. But the thing about it is which one do you would you say you relatively need more? I think you need. I think he needs you on James Moore. And the reason I say that is offensive line depth so critical, you know, you got to be able to protect that right out of you lot, considering the fact that you know, Ryan and you know this. Broncos have probably won't you know they're in the top five in terms of one of the youngest offenses in the National Football League. They've got to figure out how that how to withstand some of the blows. They're going to be taken early on, because I think everybody's expectation is that you know, with all the additions were going to be this high scoring offense. It could take some time. They could take a few weeks to starve before they're able to get into a live them. And I think that having consistent playing the offensive line specifically at right tackle, I think that's gonna matter most to the success of the Broncos early on season and even long term and I even brought up the point just before you came on. What if Elijah Wilkinson somehow wins that left tackle job? And it's It's not completely out of the round. The Broncos considered it last year, even having potentially a rotation just to see what he looks like. So if he ends up somehow surprising people, and I think this one you'd consider a minor surprise for Elijah Wilkinson will then all of a sudden, I mean, are we really considering gear bowls over right tackle? If John James goes out? I don't think that you're really In that place, And then you'd have to shake up two positions. You put Gary bowls back. It left. You have to throw light Lygia Wilkinson back over at the right and that's going to be become problematic as well. Yeah, It certainly is, You know, And I know that the Broncos into Mike Munchak. I know that they're working on guys like Calvin Anderson, who you know, is quietly one of those developmental pieces that you know nobody's talking about right now, but I think it's interesting to know the moment that the Broncos declined parables Fifth year option. You know, Calvin and I kind of put a tweet out there with the eye Emoji. You know, like this is an opportunity for him and a couple people I've spoken to said he's been one of those guys that is working with, you know, Coach Cooper Coachman check and is the building. He has the pieces there. But obviously thing on field reps matter the most. So while I know the left tackle position is gonna be under the microscope a training camp this month. We'll keep an eye on some of these other younger guys that could settle. But as you mentioned Ryan, you're absolutely spot on. If you know if Elijah walks and we'll win the left tackle position in training camp, and then you had John James right tackle and he got hurt, because I only have a guy right now, right tackle that, you know, I think that can help him and be solidified. You know, there's Jake Rodgers there, but You know, he looks very, very Ryan some of the Red Sea and the final two games of the season, and we've got to get a lot better in that area as well. Which I think with Mike much that you can, but I think it's putting a lot of expectation, but I think it definitely makes your lying a lot weaker. If you have to go with a guy like Jake Rogers in that kind of situation. Cody Roark. Joining us here from PF Unprovable Network as well is locked on Broncos want to get to this article on Pro football network, talking about the strengths and weaknesses of the Broncos offense, and it will stay with the offensive line because this this is something that I would love to get your input on because You guys went through and you graded the tackle separate from the guards and the interior offensive line, which is great because I think we all acknowledge that the interior the offensive line is the strength of his team gave them on a plus or a minus on the interior of the offensive line. But it was a D. For the tackles. Can the Broncos offensive line survive this year? And this is the multi $1,000,000 question with an interior offensive line. That's strong, but so many questions and offensive tackle Yeah, That's a great question. I think it would be very hard because you know you talk about the attack was just depends. You know what kind of place you running? You're running a stretch play. If you're running a, you know a counter play. No. You're gonna have backside pulls. I think that the Broncos last year with Ron Leary with where he was at with his age and just, you know, coming off of injuries and just never 100%. I think he struggled to be able to pull effectively to the second level. I think with the addition of ground glass go, I think with the sea dog riser coming into year two, just really coming off of a strong rookie season. And then obviously, there's some question marks there at the center position. With Lloyd Cushion Berry, who's very athletic, but obviously you know expectations for rookie. You have no idea what you can come into. You know the season with with him. They're coming from a college system at L s u. It's a lot different the NFL. You play some very, very tough and talented guys, So I think that that's gonna be their strong suit..

"Say that Is because when you play against these teams, you know knowledge is in the West, but tough schedule Overall, you're gonna have some tough passing offenses. You're going to go against with the New Orleans Saints when they come to town. You've got Tampa Bay in week three and they're wide receiving corps. And you also Carolina and also you talk about Atlanta as well. You got a lot of teams have a talented wide receiver group that's going to test your secondary and you gotta hope that you have the guys that are able to do that, and that are able to hold their own. I think that's gonna be the biggest test of the season. So I think that place is going to be very critical, you know? And for John James, we've got to see him for 63 snaps. Not really a big sample size overall, but I would say that Houston game in the first half was pretty good. It gives you a little bit of indication. Maybe what could be It. Obviously, 1/2 of football is not enough. So I think that there's going to be some eyes at the right tackle position and also like you mentioned at the quarterback spot this year. So can you separated out as what do we expect the level X expectation versus what do we need? It sounds like you kind of went a little bit more of You kind of need when we need both you guys to play. There's no, there's no denying that. I mean, you basically went through the entire off season with the plan, especially in the draft, saying We expect you on James. We're starting right tackle and we needed Bryce Callahan to be a starting cornerback. But the thing about it is which one do you would you say you relatively need more? I think you need. I think he needs you on James Moore. And the reason I say that is offensive line. Death is so critical. You know, you've got to be able to protect that right side of Drew lock, considering the fact that you know, Ryan and you know this. Broncos have probably won't you know they're in the top five in terms of one of the youngest offenses National Football League. They've got to figure out how that how to withstand some of the blows are going to be taken early on, because I think everybody's expectation is that you know, with all the additions, we're going to be this high scoring offense. It could take some time. It could take a few weeks to starve before they're able to get into a live them, And I think that having consistent play in the office of line specifically at right tackle, I think that's gonna matter most to the success of the Broncos early on season and even long term and I even brought up the point just before you came on. What if Elijah Wilkinson somehow winds that left tackle job? And it's It's not completely out of the realm. The Broncos considered it last year, even having potentially a rotation just to see what he looks like. So if he ends up somehow surprising people, and I think at this point you'd kind of consider a minor surprise for Elijah Wilkinson will then all of a sudden, I mean, are we really considering gear bulls over right tackle? If John James goes out, I don't think that you're really In that place, And then you'd have to shake up two positions to put dear pulls back. It left. You have to throw light. Lygia Wilkinson back over at the right and that's gonna be become problematic as well. Yeah, It certainly is, You know, And I know that the Broncos under Mike Munchak, I know that they're working on guys like Calvin Anderson, who you know, is quietly one of those developmental pieces that nobody is talking about right now, But I think it's interesting to know the moment that the Broncos declined terrible's fifth year option. No Calvin Anderson kind of put a tweet out there with the eye Emoji. You know, like this is an opportunity for him and a couple people. I've spoken to said that he's been one of those guys that is working with. You know, Coach Cooper Coachman check And is the bill banning? He has the pieces there. But obviously having on field reps matter the most. So while I know the left tackle position is going to be under the microscope, a training camp this month. We'll keep an eye on some of these other younger guys that could step up. But as you mentioned all, Ryan, you're absolutely spot on. If you know if Elijah works, and we will win the left tackle position in training camp, and then you had John James, right, Tak when he got hurt the Broncos don't we have a guy right now? Right tackle that, you know, I think that can help them and be solidified. You know, there's Jake Rodgers there, but No. He was very, very wry and some of the Red Sea and the final two games of the season and you know he's got to get a lot better in that area as well, which I think might much as you can, but I think that's putting a lot of expectations. I think it definitely makes your line a lot weaker. If you have to go with a guy like Jake Rogers and that kind of situation. Cody Roark. "I guess i'm maybe a little bit naively hopeful that that there is stuff going on behind the scenes that the doctors and scientists and equipment makers are actually working to try to fix this thing but there's reasonably skeptical when you think about how the nfl spent years and years literally punting on that whole issue so remains to be seen i don't mean to like cut this off but we've only gotten through one question yes i think we need to move let me grab this arthur goal wizar question guys as always your podcast is terrific thank you arthur joel klatt seems to be one of the best most knowledgeable analysts at fox but i have to disagree with his comments about the status of the texas program joe is a recent guests for people who may not have heard that podcast a couple of weeks ago i think joel fell victim to what seems to be a common media mistake falling in love with the skill positions and ignoring the offense of live i think y'all did that with usc last year so here's a free tip this texas team is still very young and very thin on the offensive line that will be texas as weak spot again this year and that's what makes it hard to win consistently a live in austin and follow college closely but i have no bias you're not a ut grad but i like when the blue buds of college football are good so i haven't seen texas practice this off season joel has so it's hard to you know i'm not going to say he's right or wrong but i am a little more skeptical of texas than he is for that reason you know there's a lot of issues on that team still there are there are pieces to be excited about but yeah there are definitely especially an offense just whole units to be really skeptical about now that being said we talked about grad transfer his earlier in grad transfer quarterbacks often disappointing but sometimes guys you know there's other guys other positions that you plug in and can fill a hole in taxes case i think they're hoping that calvin anderson the grad transfer from y.
