"We have the good seriously and then and then the fact that they had a really dominant game against the injured browns teams. They should have won that game in. Did they won that game decisively to which they did this doc and profit keep talking about if you're a team in if they're injured riddled or they're beneath you level. You should win decisively true and this is what happens. They'd be they'd be the browns they also traded for zakar. Wait evasion and then they got zack. Arts which eagles fans that. I talked to were not heavy with that. I just had zafr pull that. He got his final touchdown at home against your thoughts at then got traded like a narrative related but yes number to hear the affirmation buffalo bills you know honestly again similar to what we talk about alabama right driving down too far losing to a good team not real. Don't let me let me say this. Far going forward on fourth in one in falling short as opposed to getting blown out right there lose by three so they dropped from number one and number two which clearly makes sense you know. I don't want to go too far in the sec. Talk that do that. Put yourself into the whole weekend. Duck the holes number three here. Tampa bay buccaneer staying put which is good. I mean they they had beagles really compelling gain. I mean the eagles breaded back late. That's because tampa. Kat took the foot off the pedal so this year. And i would say the only reason we didn't drop to number four is because dallas struggle to be doing. Okay let's get to number four. So yes the only real duck say exactly. What talked the beating a tough team. I don't think the patriots stuff is a team this year. I don't so either. And that's why i'm thinking the only reason the cowboys are number four. And they didn't move to number three because they didn't dominate. They would have dominated new england than they would. It would jump ahead of us. The number three without. I would agree with that but i don't think they should have been in before. I think the guy should be number. Four and i feel like now. We have to give number five credits. Do up small ravens. Finally right.

We are down. i mean. We're kind of on a voluntary basis. There's been a lot more people coming in as we've been preparing for this conference and are thought has been you know kind of get into phase two when we get to herd immunity. We thought we'd be at that point now And so. But i've been going into the office quite a bit and you're right. I mean downtown is looking better than it was when i started going in after i got my vaccine. But we have to think. Creatively about how we're gonna use our city and i do. I mean we're strong. Supporters of the tax credit senator sabbath put in place or or introduced and. Continue to to push that forward. In fact you know. We worked with a lot of our chamber friends in cities that look a lot like detroit to get them on board Particularly buffalo who has members on Ways and means committee so We're trying we're trying to lead the charge To get other cities on board with this so we can so so. It's not because this isn't just a detroit problem this is. This is for cities all across america from a policy perspective. Why do you want to do the tax credit. There is a criticism. Some might say of you know. These people are already rich. they already have money. Why why do they need a tax credit to do this. Why the tax credit. Well i mean some of them are but some of them some of them. Aren't i mean you're you're thinking about this and you're thinking about you know dan gilbert or the images and of course they. There's no no doubt they're. They're very wealthy but they also are taking a big risk rate. I in buying these buildings. But you're thinking about the gilbertson. The you're not thinking about the smaller building owners in in for every building dan gilbert owns. There's a smaller developer. Who owns a building to and their surviving. Probably off credit. And they're they took a chance on downtown to and when it's across the region right and they took a chance to win it was a popular. So yes there are. There are wealthy people but they took a chance..

It doesn't even matter. The matchup is somehow comes down to the last second overtime. Everything and It's been a really exciting season but decision wise. I mean i think you have to go for it there. i agree thank. You can actually get some tips from tom. Brady on how to. I'm oh gosh. At the heart of josh allen is really what i think is turned the buffalo bills around that and of course the great coaching. But i you know whatever it takes. He's known for that. And i i can't even tell you even though they lost and that was hard to swallow you know. I was so proud of josh allen for making that decision to go forth in one and to go for it even if he didn't get it because like junior said okay so because i think they snap the ball at twenty two seconds. chris which. I'm sure you're remembering as well as i do. But if you were watching And so there was plenty of time on the clock for the titans to come back and score a touchdown. Anyway right so like score a touchdown but at least a fill goal but yeah would've went into overtime and really either defensive stopping. Anyone is what it seemed like so. Let's kind of what i was saying. I probably would have was like a damned if you do damned if you don't moment saying if he would've tied it and they would win for board..

Some of the other place that he detained with mahomes. I get this like kinda surprising. Or i guess you can kind of look at it in a different way because we'd never see mahomes like this you. We'd never seen when mahomes in the interceptions that heathrow where he just makes you scratch your head and say what are you doing for the first three years of his career when he throws passes most of the time it works. That's the thing i mean. Maybe we can go back and find some film some other just ridiculous interceptions that he thrown over the past five games the warning through against the chargers the one he threw against washington to one he three against buffalo the horrible ones. Maybe we can look back and find that same type of play in. We see mahomes. Making some play in making a path to kelsey or sammy. Watkins or clydes edwards allaire or Kelsey or or hill. And we just sit there and go. Oh my goodness fucking unbelievable. I can't believe this shit. You know one of the passes i believe. Oh what was it against cleveland. I forgot where it was where he tried to throw a no look pass and he it slightly behind them. And it was intercepted. I mean how many of those plays has he made. "Watches building community so that people are actually looking out for for one another. We live in a community now where people even know who their neighbors army more and until we have reestablished that sense of community. We can't begin to have compensations about what a post police world looks like. Chris you want to jump in here at all. I mean you hit most of the questions i had. I guess my question is on the we were just talking about about. Psa statewide I guess between like homeless Stepping down and self decorah describe socialists. And desa back candidates winning state senate seats here in new york city council seats congressional seats. I was just wondering if you had any thoughts about your candidacy and potential mayorship. How it fits into maybe a greater new york state political project from the laughter from the dsm. Yeah i think it's just that y'all call us upstate rate. I think that there has been sort of this myth. That western new yorkers are very conservative that we don't care about progressive politics. I think this campaign is proof that we do That we would love to see At the executive level. As well. And i believe that I know for a fact that this candidacy is creeping up the ninety and we're seeing progressive politicians be elected in levels of office in rochester syracuse. I think they were gonna continue to see this trend all across the state to that end. Like i mean a lot of people will are looking and we'll be looking to your your campaign and You know once again. Knock on wood your impending mayoralty as a kind of template for people who support a socialist agenda bernie sanders agenda. Whatever you wanna talk about it. inner would be inspired by. You're looking your campaign in terms of like what works. What doesn't i mean like We as a foundation or like just a a guy. It's like a how to like. What would be some advice. You would give to anyone considering running for office like any any city county state level or even national Running on like a socialist agenda. Yeah i think that Sticking to your core values for it but we create a big ten. I think was different from this campaign than a lot of other. Is that when we talk about. Censoring people with care in love The care and love. It is central to our core beliefs as a campaign we accept people wherever they are with years of political experience or none Folks who are woken f folks still have a ways to go but being able to have that level of patients Really finding commonality rather than differences in creating a big tent right. This is a campaign that very welcoming We try as hard as we can not to other people Even even when they are not exactly our cup of tea and you know. I would say that even for myself. I'm not all the way there yet. We all have work to do. But i think that the number one thing you can do is to just do it do it. Ask questions reach out to people who you admire. You will be shocked at how friendly and helpful other progressive elected are and just star challenge in half confident that you will win and if it's the right thing to do you have every right to do with the let anyone so that you can't to that end like who who are some politicians other historical or currently holding office that you look to for inspiration or i mean if they're still alive who have reached out to you to Congratulate us support. ubs ally. i definitely am a huge fan of fair affront forest. She she just She's my representative in my neighborhood. Yes yup fares nurse and just awesome powerhouse and pre-primary when no one was paying any attention to what i was doing. I think we first met like on clubhouse visitor establish rivera would always get on there and You know top junk and sometimes fear was in the room like i'm running for mayor buffalo and they began to route the on and we eventually exchanged numbers and she's been conscious encouragement inspiration. I think corey bushes another person like nurses who run for office. are a very special breed. We're we're we. We are trained to be advocates right restrained to be advocates Trains To not hold people's stupidity against them. So i'm always inspired by nurses who run. But i think traditionally life shirley chisholm of the world the unbought and the people who stay true to their values no matter what are the most less i wanted to ask you about is just just about leaving politics aside for a second just buffalo as a city. Buffalo is of course a great and historic american city. But it's one that's often forgotten and you becoming mayor of it would be very exciting because buffalo is not like some college town like buffalo is a major american city. I only got. I've only really had the chance to visit buffalo. Only pretty recently. Because thanks to our good friend keith buckley. And his band. Every time. I die or are you familiar with them. There's princes of the city in buffalo. We went to their musical festival Did the season which they hold every year on christmas unfortunately not last year anyway. We had a wonderful time in buffalo. I really really enjoyed visiting. But like as a whole Buffalo is experiencing sort of cultural renaissance and national profile. For the first time in a long time whether it's through the bills or a lot of the really great music and culture that's being produced by the people of the city and the rest of the country is sort of catching on. So i ask you like what. What does the city of buffalo represent to you like how do you. How do you yourself as a buffalo native. And like what does he essential buffalo character. That you're bringing here yeah buffalo. This is the buffalo that i've always known right. We've always had a great hip hop scene. A great arts and culture scene is just. A light is being shined on us now. I'm so proud but buffalo really has a do it no matter what type of attitude right buffalo in buffalo nian are some of the toughest folks you ever want to meet you know we survived snowstorms.

"In. We haven't done that in our police department So we we have a lot of of varying issues to address right. There are good officers. We have to celebrate them and make sure that the those are highlighted bad officers. We have to stop hiding them. We have to not only expose who they are but hold them accountable and we also have to work with the union. We have to negotiate in earnest and honesty. I mean there are some bad things happening with police in this country but at the end of the day police officers are workers to their workers with families with responsibilities and we want them to feel just as valued as everybody else in our community and why we are working to create a safe enough community that we don't lead police anymore. We still have to make sure that we have the best possible. Police force that we that we ask the can. I can already can already hear the convection. Among our listenership after saying police are workers but like i mean because you you get into that a little bit more like a lot of people would get angry to hear that to say the police are workers because they would say you know well They're their union members that are called in to break the strikes of other unions that there's something categorically different than like the worker or working class. But you know as being trying to be mayor of a big city. I mean the fact that matter is that The police department police departments like play a big role in the maintenance of a city and unfortunately to a large degree to the safety of the people in this city despite the egregious examples of misconduct. And like i mean like there's a moment our like people they don't want nobody really wants to hear right now that like The the cops do any good at all. Like i mean like you. Do you run into that. Like how would you respond to like the the the the people's frustration anger at hearing anything positive about police departments. At all yeah. I'm not saying that police departments are positive right. What i'm saying. Is that at this point in our society there necessary. There are some things that we as the society have not created the mechanisms to replace them. There are lots of pilots in programs happening. Now they're a super exciting. That showed me vision of a future without police. But i also live in buffalo and we have a problem with violent crime. That's that is the bottom line. And i believe that when we reduce poverty when we increase home ownership but we increase educational attainment. We'll see those things reduce the problem is. We're not there yet so What i don't want to happen is that what often happens is aft progressives as democratic socialist. We get caught up in the minutia and we want the thing that we are trying to get to right away but we have to take the steps to get there i we could not dismantle the bad if we have not yet built the new that we actually want and that means that we have to put people in position who are able to make those decisions in those policy reality and we also have to work with people who are currently in place to be able to shift the entire culture until we get there right so with either. We're going to take some while he pushed forward or never gonna have anything because we're so quick to cancel anyone who is even seemingly reasonable enough to be able to color a little bit outside the lines until we rip up the paper and throwing trash if that makes any sense. I mean it's just it's so it's so impossible because like you said buffalo like most american cities. Violent crime is an issue but when the people tasked with Public safety are also committing a large number of violent crimes against the the residents of these cities. I mean you can understand the frustration that people have just get rid of all of it like. I don't want to hear anything about the police absolutely absolutely and that. That is the frustration right. Is that because if you're saying only a few bad apples right because that's what they tell us. Then why don't you just get rid of them. I know this not just a few bad apples right. It's a bat culture but we we gotta start somewhere right so where we start is with accountability. We start with getting rid of those officers. Who have been found guilty of misconduct. We start with community real community policing where officers live in the neighborhood. They serve where they're building authentic relationships with the communities that they serve. I'm not talking about basketball in barbecues talking about real authentic relationships so that we know each other so that we care for each other it feels different. And i know that a lot of folks are to be disappointed by what i'm saying but like it's just the reality of what we've been given And there's no way that. I can go into office being responsible for the care and safety of a city like buffalo in. Just get rid of an entire police department. It does it. just listen. Ds heirs are smart folks right by and large these are college educated middle-class folks who live in neighborhoods. That are safe so. I know that people understand what i'm saying. They might not want to hear it but it's just the fact that the matter. I'm just not one that is going to gloss over embo should you. Yeah realistic about what it is that we must do in order to get we want. I mean i think a lot of these people are would be disappointed or anger or to hear that. I mean we just you know came. They came face to face in this in new york city. Recently eric atoms are democratic nominee. For mayor is used to be. Nypd officer he's a big friend of the cops but he won all of the neighborhoods and districts that were like the poor poorer hire crime marginalized communities that a lot of these people. view themselves as representing or speaking on behalf of and in those communities a lot of the times You can be disappointed by it or not but they say they want essentially more police in their neighborhoods or not everyone. But i'm just saying that is not an uncommon view that has had among voters in these communities. It's not uncommon uncommon view. But also a folks are asking for is welded streets. Right is if you are claiming that you're surveilling community. Which i don't i don't believe in that but if if there are cameras in crimes are committed but there's never any footage peop- i mean you know it's it's simple things like that on Apartment buildings people want buzzers work. So folks don't have access to their buildings things simple things. Reducing blight reducing vacancy reestablishing neighborhood watches building community so that people are actually looking out for for one another. We live in a community now where people even know who their neighbors army more and until we have reestablished.
Miami Dolphins WR Will Fuller to Miss Buffalo Bills Game With Personal Issue
"Breaking news out of miami gardens. The miami dolphins will be without wide receiver willful or for sunday's matchup versus the buffalo bills. The team is calling it. A personal issue and brian flora's even when as far to say there was a possibility for may not suit up the rest of the season. Obviously a lot of unknowns. But what were your thoughts. Jake when you first heard this friday afternoon. Josh first and foremost i mean the seed blake first weekend forever where the dolphins were gonna have a completely clean injury report willful or was the only one who wasn't listed as a full participant in practice on both thursday and friday. I'm concerned for some things are bigger than football. I don't necessarily know. I mean ryan floors declined to say preston. Williams who is fully active is going to be playing on sunday. So i think that's more displays being bryant floors as much as odd. This is something that's gonna completely ruin season. I hope that isn't the case. I hope everything is all right for him and you know. We can't really speculate on too much by terms of what's happening on the field. It's gotta be a little disappointing to not see him out

Buffleheads Are Highly Reliant on Northern Flickers – Here’s Why
"Some koufax i found about the buffalo head is they're highly. Reliant on northern flickers northern flickers are really species. Yeah and they're highly reliant on their nesting. Cavities we have them here. We have northern flickers here. There's actually a pair not too far from where i live In one of the trees. But i think the tail feathers and the wing feathers are different. Color yeah on the flickers here than the flickers where you are out west. You guys have read shafted northern flickers and out here we have golden shaft. northern flickers When i i Went out west for the first time in like you know into yosemite did all those national parks i remember seeing a northern flicker and it had the red red shafts on the bottom of wings and the tail and i had no idea what kind of bird it was like. Oh my god the things huge and it's all red like and then i realized. Oh it's a northern flickers. She's you know colored different. I kind of forgot that fact. But apparently there there's northern flicker nesting. Cavities are like just the right size for the buffalo head. They're like just big enough for them. To nest in and buffalo heads are like on the smaller side for cavity nesting ducks other ducks like the wood. Duck that nest in old woodpecker. Cavities and stuff. So the buffets are like jih small enough to fit in and so that helps them You know Not get out competed by by bigger nesting ducks so they're really relying on those northern flickers.

Who Decides Which Sports Are in the Olympics?
"So the delayed twenty twenty tokyo olympics happened the other week complete with thirty three sports and three hundred thirty nine events including four new sports and to discontinued sports. You might have seen the karate skateboarding sport climbing or serving you might have. I didn't what i saw. The olympics was mostly clips on my favorite memes site. The resurrected sports were baseball and softball. Last seen at the two thousand eight beijing olympics the international olympic committee had decided to make a commitment to the youth by bringing sports to them in urban environments. A pretty new point of view for the i. O. c. as well as to increase engagement for youth fans who are passionate about different sports from all over the world or dispassionate about sports as a whole these sports are also not coincidentally quite popular in japan so who decides what stays in. What goes that would be the aforementioned international olympic committee they oversee all aspects of the olympic. Games they run in it in the common parlance of the associations. Ninety nine members many are former athletes or current leaders in athletics from all over the world bonus fact one of the founders of buffalo wild wings was a lifelong figure skater who served on the ioc for a time. The ios's executive board proposes which sports will be included and the rest of the votes on them. A sport must cut certain muster to sway. Those voters there are five factors split into a further thirty five criteria. Such as. How long has the sport existed. How popular is the sport in the host country. How much would it cost to hold and broadcast the event and how much value the sport would be to the olympic legacy.

Two thousand in twelve nice very nice even now part of a head gone on years before that with the buffalo soldiers in time i just of built the event around them and of course. It rained all weekend here. Everything is green and beautiful but we kept the event Down but we still had a lot of people attended For the military re-enactors. This was the first time that they have gotten together to see each other's sense kobe. Oh how wonderful. Yeah so it was nice. So some of them spent the night in our historic chapel. So and they were guys pretty much. Just we sat there and watched him. They were packing on their all kick back in their uniforms and hanging out. It was really cool. I enjoyed them so very much. It's just it was a lot of fun. Oh good well for listeners. So today we don't have like a planned out episode like we normally do and part of that is my fault. I went on a trip. "buffalo" Discussed on ESPN Daily
"Marcel. . LOUIS-JACQUES I assume when you got into the business of NFL reporting, you , always dreamed, , of Tuesday night football. . You know I. . I don't even know if covered Tuesday night football back at the high school or you've. . So this is truly a unique experience. . Marcel louis-jacques covers the BUFFALO BILLS FOR ESPN It is the third I believe NFL game on a Tuesday in seventy four years, , and we are talking right now on Monday and we're doing that because there has been this steady drumbeat of positive cova tests that we've seen from the Tennessee Titans, , the opponent of the buffalo bills on Tuesday night. . Over the last couple of weeks, , we're talking twenty four positive tests between players and team personnel, , and it feels still I presume like this game could still get canceled any time until the ball is actually kicked off. . So what are you hearing from the bill side? ? Are there concerns you've heard from players or coaches about fears around the virus going into this titans game. . First of all, , we haven't heard anything officially from the bills since Thursday they've been in limbo throughout the week and the weekend and kind of letting that spill over into the contact they put out into the world. But . from what we had heard from them, , they just WanNa play the game. . They don't WANNA lose out on that game check. . They don't want to be punished for something that they didn't do in that. . You understand you gotta roll with the punches there in this era, , but it does At its core kind of feel like a punishment if you can't play and you can get paid because of what another team is doing, it's , like when you turn in your assignments but the kid across the table from you keep talking in the whole class gets recess canceled. . So there's a little bit of frustration there. . But from what they tell us, , they trust the league they are just kind of rolling with it. . They're finding things out as we're finding things out and it's kind of a tricky situation. . For everybody involved. . So the flip side of that dynamic, , the diligent student and the one that is not getting their work in the way they're supposed to the flip side is like okay well, , then the titans should have to forfeit has there been any talk around bills camp around that being a thing they would like to see again, , not publicly because they've they've kept that core belief that they just want to play the game back. So . we spoke with Mike high on Thursdays one of the last available. . Players that was made for us. . He said, , he didn't even realize postponing canceling Games was a possibility. . He just always assumed that. . Okay. If . this guy test positive, , then they're going to have to move forward without that player. . So it does get to a point where you can't just keep pushing games back. . You know there's only so many times you can do that, , and especially if there's a case of explicit negligence from the top down in an organization than forfeiting a game has to be at least considered. . It seems harsh but so was the not staying socially distant and not masking up in the facility and all these other allegations that have been levied against the titans. .

Black soldiers have put their lives on the line for a country that for centuries enslaved segregated and discriminated against them. Until the Korean War black served in segregated units under racist leadership and often relegated to labor and service units. Despite the continuous discriminatory treatment that denied blacks full participation in America's military efforts, these brave men and women lived lives that deserve to be remembered. My Name's Moxy and this is your brain on facts. Possibly the best known all black military unit comes with a bit of mystery in its history. They were called Buffalo soldiers, though there are competing reasons as to why. In eighteen, sixty, six and active congress created six all black peacetime regiments later consolidated into four, the ninth and Tenth Cavalry and the Twenty Fourth and twenty fifth infantry. Initially the Buffalo soldier regiments were commanded by whites with being forbidden from holding the ranks officers. These. Troops often faced extreme racial prejudice from the army establishment. Many officers including George Armstrong custer of boo and a his there. Refused to command black regiments, even though it costs them promotions. Further black troops could only serve west of the Mississippi. River, because many whites didn't want to see armed black men near their communities. It even sometimes happened that the buffalo soldiers suffered deadly violence at the hands of civilians. The Buffalo soldiers main duty was to support the nation's westward expansion by protecting settlers, building roads and other infrastructure and guarding the US mail. They served a variety of posts in the southwestern great planes, taking part in most of the military campaigns during the decades long Indian wars during which they compiled a distinguished record with eighteen buffalo soldiers awarded the Medal of honor. We don't have time today to dwell on the irony of African American soldiers, fighting native people on behalf of government that accepted neither group as equals. The exceptional performance of these soldiers helped to overcome resistance to the idea of black officers paving the way for the first african-american graduate from West Point Henry O flipper. Who will hear more about later? But. Fellow soldiers played significant roles in many other military actions. They took part in defusing the little known eighteen, ninety two Johnson County war in Wyoming, which pitted small farmers against wealthy ranchers and a band of hired gunmen. They also fought in the Spanish American and Philippine American wars and played a key role in maintaining border security during the high intensity, military conflict along the US Mexico border during the Mexican revolution. Tim Clark retorts by saying that All the other airlines teasing eighth-rated wrong because Emirates has so many of these aircraft clock says they achieve cost benefits due to automative scale. And I guess he has appointments to the other airlines operating eighth straight. He's have just a small sub fleet of around a dozen eight thousand eight hundred less. Say the not getting the benefits benefits that Emirates would beginning. We're having over one hundred of them. In terms of cost savings and efficiencies. The eighty is designed to provide airlines with more capacity passively on routes between slow constraint airports and given many of the world's major airports such as London he threw a completely full and Sir conscious add more frequencies to these Airport so it makes sense. They can instead put on large aircraft. The problem with this model is that it assumes airlines would continue operating between major hubs and in it using a model which relies on connecting passengers through the world's major airports. What we've actually seen in recent years is more point to point flying between second tier airports? It's which has been made possible by new smaller and more fuel efficient aircraft with greater range than we've seen. Before such as the Boeing seven eight seven and I guess ironically also so the Airbus a three fifty and if you just look at what point does is doing just a few months ago. took the Boeing seven four seven off the Sydney to San Francisco route. And and it's now flying smaller dreamliner from seeing instead. But it also has flights now from Melvin San Francisco and from tomorrow Qantas's launching an additional flight from Brisbane to San Franscisco so instead of feeding the passengers three Sydney on illogic crafts putting on all the more fuel efficient aircraft. From three airport's Qantas will also stop flying nonstop from Brisbane to Chicago in April something that would not have been economically viable or even really possible before the Boeing seven. Eight seven came aiming to serve as and this kind of routes like this. Calgary is going to redirect Even more of the connecting traffic on trunk routes like Sydney Brisbane to Los Angeles that were previously if you wanted to go to the US pretty much have to fly on one of those trunk routes but now you can fly direct to Houston even on on united or and and very Saint Chicago among other routes so yeah. It's it's a changing of the times in the Bible say three was just not the right at Croft. I guess the right time back back to to Lucinda while I was there I also joined a tour of the Airbus a three fifty. WBZ final assembly line and unnoticed for. That was cringe-worthy it'll I've also done as I'm sure. Some of you. Listening on the Boeing in Seattle and now I thought that the by tour is really excellent and to to be honest it was much better organized than the Airbus to. It's very well old machine over in Seattle but it did kind of feel. Like a huge advocate Boeing. Say it just as a matter of interest idea to also do the factory tour in in Humbug a few years ago and I thought that this was really badly organized it felt like they kind of trying to get in the minimum. They could get away with without really putting a lot of thought into it. Say without a mind. If you are in Seattle ought to lose I would highly recommend joining. Either the Boeing Airbus. Although if you're in humble probably wouldn't give you the same recommendation. What's time now for quick break coming up? Next is my interview with Victor who is a pilot for Buffalo Airways in Canada back in a moment I knew.

"All I make too much for you. You don't WANNA share workout. junk-food ends the day. I come back from Buffalo. I think you shouldn't do junk food while you're in Buffalo. You WanNa prove that you want to be healthy. How about you eat healthy and you you on that five pounds light baking. I'm not going back for three days of what amounts to tailgate parties and football and not eating you are out of your mind. I is that don't eat junk food. Come back five boy. It's easy you just cut out one thing and you'll lose five pounds in a day before enough times to know that's all there is oh that's an insult to your buffalo nghien friends absolutely not that is a concern that they take an awful lot of time to make their food. If you choose to eat the mighty Taco in the greasy greasy pizzas while you're gonNa be the challenge facing child chowder now olders healthy chowder is mainly broth in vegetables in some meat thrown in there. If you think that's unhealthy we some problems not the way weaker these and shorts shorts speaking time ooh and you can have tea again like hot tea at night or hot cocoa okay yeah. Those are my favorite parts. It's about getting ready for the fall season moving on moving on to bullet blitzes all blitzes. I've got my motor yours. I've got two good ones all right then. I'm going I. The BENICIA festival has rules for their press. Main is the normal thing it's a lot of the films that haven't been released while pretty much. That's a rule of almost all film festivals as you cannot have released them had pre screenings because they want to be the ones to be able to do for show huge here so they're rule is wallace happening. Press cannot tweet about it. You cannot write about it. There's an embargo argo on all the pre screenings so one member of the press decided he didn't want to listen and start tweeting about stuff while he was watching it watching watching joker then no it was another one of them like the Goldfinch or something Venice Film Festival of course caught him while it was happening. The Tar slapped on the wrist don't do it. What does he do home in Brighton article about how he's having freedom of speech impinged upon in how how dare them and the creators of that content. He's writing about tell him that he can't write about it right away. The amount of people that cry about freedom of speech and have no idea what the freedom of speech laws actually are absolutely asinine so do you think it was limiting to the press or is it protective of the filmmakers for Venice Film Festival to tell them not to tweet about it until a certain time not to write about it until a certain time when all of the press can do it at once number one. It's just common decency and professional courtesy. That's the terms of you coming in and seeing the movie ahead of time pass. You're allowed to be there to be in the now. So Oh yeah you want to be an asshole..

"Mile My oh my my friends should each one of these counties ups of on forty nine fifty one fifty one. I don't know I mean. How much did you guys he's here before? If anyone is still on let us know where we left off because this thing is hilarious. We didn't leave off anywhere I deleted. Those masses messes the moment they happened. we're just. GonNa take it from not the not the entirely top but the the the top of our stuff okay. How about you start Chris. How's it going right so this weekend. We did some street teams. I don't know why you tubes not working working but we're just going to deal with that can restrain that real quick saying saying it's live but we'll see what see what happens so this weekend. We had some street teams for rough ratings street teams whose ref ratings rep ratings. They got a new APP available on iphone right. Now will be available available in a couple of weeks on android where you're watching a football game and you do not like what the REF calls. You can go on their pick. The game pick the play said that sucked and tell them what do you think it should have been. You can win prizes. That was what we did that for their company. We Are we are on the channels. Were streaming along here. I can see the chats. Now we are ready to rock and roll is right across our space so let's pretend let's pretend this all everything previously never happened and than just dive right into this okay so this weekend street team what around the L A coliseum for the rams versus Saints Game and gave up flyers. There's and let people know about referendums new up Kyra in the middle in Arianna over on what would be miring. The girls actually did an awesome job because this this game was between the Rams and the saints and I don't know how many people watching our football fans but last year the the saints lost out on a trip to the super bowl because of a horrible non call made by the referees that favored the Rams and ultimately that that non call all led to the ref ratings and inspired this whole thing to be created and they brought us on and asked us to help out run the street team get some girls go round pass out flyers wearing their little referee t t shirts and outfits and how much were they know that the game would actually be pertinent to their APP that day. I tell them what happened to all. The Saints People are taking the flyers are all last year like if only you could make the refuse something about it any way. Hey you won't happen again though won't happen again. I'm like well if it does you got that now. Go ahead and tell them what you think about it so watching the game and the entire game once again changes on a horrible call a that goes in favor of the rams over the saints a Strip sack led to to a fumble recovery return for a touchdown in a very close game that would have gave the saints all the momentum the lead all good stuff working in their favor but with the referees or are bad we blew the whistle a little too early so you guys can have the ball but you don't get that eighty yard touchdown and uh just what from that moment on all momentum was in the rams favor and they end up. Blo- blowing him out yeah very relevant so hoping that referee ratings I know quite a few people were installing it but hoping actually used it. I did hear though they block the signal. The Coliseum David stay stay saying insane. He put the dyslexic Futi Rodham the do so we did that and what are you doing the next week or so that was actually practiced for for for this weekend heading back to Buffalo. Take it actually the big topic of the show a lot the things happening in buffalo this weekend and the first one is Friday night. We're going to be doing a livestream of the the mafia homecoming party eighty being thrown by code socks and a whole bunch of different sponsors including graphic productions special guests like Stevie Johnson some other bills alumnis rumor rumor has it is going to be current players that are shown up but we can't we can't promote or or confirmed the current players because they got a game that weekend against some of them might just show up randomly and hang on curfew. Yeah hang out for a few hours then. I got hit home for curfew but we'll be livestream that entire events events growl club couple of cool commercials playing during the livestream. Let's hope so host. Internet is a little more stable than so mars inter- Internet Internet and we have no issues with stream that night then Saturday. We're going to be doing a livestream from the the hammer lots where we're going to have the ham for those who are not Buffalo Nghien okay so anyone that's not from buffalo that's ever heard about buffalo tailgate parties and crazy. Seattle's jumping through tables and lighting each other on fire and all the stuff that makes buffalo bills fans go viral for bad reasons. All that stuff happens in the Hammerlock hammerlock okay Let's see you're going to be having a big party. There don't worry they'll be no rough soon. All robots and you will not be able to question anything or otherwise you will be vaporized. Honestly though the cameras can catch it is so many different angles. Why shouldn't that be a program that someone has developed where through all the cameras. There's one computer up. There sees it they just were and then it makes them go back to wherever they were then. It can be ten seconds later. You just go sorry everyone stopped. We're going back to this point. I I everybody walk your ass back. You can totally do that. Not everyone keeps going going yeah well. It takes a second anyway even when the drafts do it's a good second after it happened missile the play stops they impose the penalty and then they continue on but what could easily be done and the technology does exist is to put a GPS marker in the football that will track the farthest for progress of a play and that can determine where the field position is and how far the bulk carrier made so they can get accurate spots that that would make the game a lot faster more efficient and more accurate with the ball also have sensors on the inside to tell if it was a fumble actually had full control over it. They felt fingers on it the the whole time as opposed to bounce something awesome won and all that could probably easily be done but Saturday a little bit of a Happy Happy Sad party. We're going to be live streaming in the hammer lot there. We're going to be having a memorial service for Pancho Villa Pancho Villa and I probably should have had some pictures queued up this Pancho. Villa was a beloved superfan of the Buffalo Bills who unfortunately passed away from cancer in May and just when the team starting to get your yeah he he did do the last to dry announced to a couple of draft picks for the Buffalo Bills this year I think he actually announced it from the hospital. They call them in a did it over the phone but he passed away like two weeks after the draft and it was pretty sad add but they're going to have a big party memorial forum in the parking lot on Saturday and we're and we're GONNA be streaming all of that so I'm sure there's going to be plenty plenty of tables broken in in in punch honor and then Sunday. We're going to be doing a livestream pod dog get podcast from the very same hammer lot that will include three former bills players. It's going to be the cold front report and the why so serious podcast which which is actually stevie Johnson's podcast so it's going to have Stevie Johnson Lee Evans and Donald Jones three or four buffalo bills alumni tonight that'll be hosting that podcast and also we're going to be doing as part of that livestream. We're going to be broadcasting a very very secret time-honored tradition from Buffalo Bills Lor that goes all the way back to the super bowl days. There's a man called Pinto Ron who has a old eighties. Pinto tricked out to turn the engine into a grill so they cook all the food on on the engine of the of the car hotdogs hamburgers all of that stuff and then at the end of the tailgate party before everybody heads into the game a a big circle of bills mafia all forms and in the center of the circle is Pinto Ron with hot dog and he says I need some ketchup eh mustard and everybody in the circle sprays in down with bottles of ketchup mustard and the guy just gets covered head to toe in ketchup and mustard everybody Hutson in how we head into the game and watch the bills go three now that's been happening since when since the early nineties possibly the late eighties but definitely the early nineties he inspired by dazed and confused or was dazed and confused inspired by him. You know what I'm talking about where they take all all the girls who are going to be freshman and they cover on they make them later on the cover them with everything and then I'd say those are two completely independent traditions. Yeah sounds very similar very similar. It's not really low okay so Sunday is the game yes. Sunday is the game and Saturdays the memorial. What time is the memorial in your lives. During the memorial two PM Eastern so the the memorials they've absolutely right. I should have picked you should've had pictures queued up for this stuff to be perfectly honest. My my head is already. She kind of shifting gears towards Buffalo. We've been balancing some of the regulation. CF stuff we're GONNA talk about here in a minute and getting ready to the plane leaves first thing Wednesday Wednesday morning so all the stuff and attention have been ready to get the livestream. We've got to get the graphics done. We've got to get some of the equipment Sutton in position so so all of our focus has been on these things but we will have video highlights David to share when we come back next week of all these time honored traditions. ooh. Yes so that's going to be taking. I'm going to be taking video David. There's GonNa be actual moving moving pictures that are happening with all of this so if more stills out of that that we can easily do so yes. That's all happening this weekend. That's it's going on this this weekend so let's move to the exception there and talk a little bit about some of that stuff by by some some fresh air here so I can sip water still got that cough absolutely Coughlin bookie. Do we took two weeks off hoping Andrew could heal. That is not what you did in don't you dare try and throw me under that bus. I will start throwing you under buses. All all three enter trains. Oh don't you.

"Marcus wasn't having any of that as someone who was born and raised in Buffalo. I was drawn to his commentary from that. I've come to learn about all the amazing things Marcus doing so. It's an honor to chat with Marcus on this podcast. Let's not wait any longer and welcome. Marcus Sullivan both fascinating to me is I love twitter and I've I've heard you on some podcasts or on a podcast recently and you were talking about how you like twitter and there was a comment recently in it's funny is I don't even know what the original person was talking about but it was something about comparing. He never said Siberia but it was like when you do something like that in the N._F._l.. And it was something bad or not listening to direction or not playing well you end up in buffalo like they're comparing buffalo to Siberia not exactly but in a way like that's where people go to like when your career is over and you immediately hopped in their inside why actually enjoyed my time in buffalo new talk about the organization what they did for you and flying you to your grandmother's funeral I believe and what's been amazing to me is you've now been featured. Actually in other places is on buffalo bills blogs podcasts on this podcast not kind of as a result of that interaction that you had that individual person because it's just you put yourself out there and you believed in something and you're willing to share that story with other people because I think people in Buffalo and it's not just buffalo it happens in a lot of cities Detroit and you name it but people are sick and tired of that and then it's like well. Let's hear from the people that actually know in that are willing to put themselves out there to stand up for what they believe in so so anyway. I just think it's fascinating that social media gives us that opportunity but tell me a little bit about where you've come from as far as now you're part. You're part of twitter. You're doing all this and you see someone talking about something that they just don't know anything about Oh. Yeah I appreciate that <hes> so I guess let me start by saying <hes> I grew up a buffalo bills fan so <hes> I was my probably twelve thirteen eleven twelve thirteen when the bills start making those super bowl runs and I'm from Chicago so obviously we're bears town but <hes> you know after the eighty five bears kinda fizzled out you know they they kinda went into a slump. You know so <hes> and around ten eleven twelve years old I really start kind of understanding the game football you know because I didn't play when I was younger. <hes> you know they had a you know weight limits back them and I didn't meet any of them but <hes> you know that's where my love Buffalo Kinda started you know I was a huge fan of all those super bowl teams and you know this is when <hes> Super techmo bowl is out in buffalo bills or priorities. We believe the best team the game so you know that's kind of where you know my whole love of the city and the <hes> you know the organization came from and then Lo and behold I get drafted a buffalo in two thousand one you know so and the crazy thing about about it was. I never thought I'd be draft about Buffalo. They called me. I thought I was going to Jacksonville and the first or second round but that didn't happen <hes> so I felt a fifth round and Greg Williams gives me a call today. We're GONNA take fifth. Pick you know fifth <hes> round draft pick and you know I was <hes> you know laid it but yet kind of disappointed that my draft status went down so low but it took a day think about it then you know I'm a firm believer in stings happen for a reason you know your life's already predetermined so you know my love of Buffalo's youth you know Kinda came to fruition when I got played for the team and I really started become humble humble myself and <hes> you know. I'll just say hey man. This is God's plan right now. You know this is where you know you. This is where your life is taking you to this point. You know I'm not certainly not saying like you know <hes> you know. God predetermine football player 'cause I can go on about that forever. You know just as far as <hes> your importance as a human being anyway. Let me get enough <hes> target but <hes> yeah I mean so I'll get opportunity to play for the bills and <hes> you know spent three and a half years there and <hes> almost IOS four years and <hes> you know they treated me. Well you know for the most part and you know. I feel that you know any plant would feel that he you know continued should be continuing playing starting when they get that opportunity but you know I i. I feel I'm blessed. I got opportunity to play for Buffalo. I think it's a great organization and the People Buffalo in the town really what got me you know I saw so much potential an opportunity in Buffalo. <hes> you know at the time I was one of three players that live downtown in buffalo lived <hes> right rip walk area right by harbour there and <hes> you know. I said this has got a lot of potential. You know me coming from a big city in Chicago. You know I saw the <hes> you know the evolution ocean of town the emergence of the town you know 'cause downtown Chicago was <hes> was dumped as well back in the you know the eighties late seventies and eighties you know so <hes> you know it was I was not the place to have businesses what I'm trying to say but you know we've got a <hes> revitalize and the early nineties and you know now. It's it's it's. It's one of the best cities in the world so I kinda saw that in Buffalo. You know it's <hes> you know it's a town right on freshwater. <hes> you know it's old. <hes> you know <hes> Rust Belt Town but you know there's a lot of potential here you know Toronto's on the island fifteen minutes away so you know if you have to go to major city you know you can get there fairly easy. If you really WANNA go in New York <hes> our plane right away and <hes> you know people buffalo really treating me well and I never had any issues anybody you know when I was recognized you know people always said good things. Even you don't have to some tough losses so they'll always remember that you know just I just felt <hes> you know a great opportunity to be able to play <hes> you know for the team in the organization yeah. It's it's it's I think it is almost a mid western town. It's closer to Cleveland than it is New York City so it has that mid western Western feel and I've always felt like buffalo is a very small version and even though Buffalo's not a small city right. It's not a huge city Chicago but it's a smaller city of like Chicago because it has the sports vibe. It's let's call it a drinking town own and they love their bills. I love their sabres. They love going out to bars. They let the Barksdale until four o'clock in the morning right in Buffalo and Chicago's got that feel they love their food. There's just there's something about it that I think is just it's a lot of fun. It's vibrant place when you're there or if you go to the right places and like you said before you said it a couple times you said the people they're the people treated you well now. Every city's got issues right. There's all sorts of there's definitely be problems you to run to the wrong crowd around people but into Buffalo. They AH that they're just they're passionate right. It's a passionate group. That's why they get defensive on social media. They get defensive. They talk about things. There's no doubt there's issues with buffalo me and I could you mentioned the waterfront like you could go back years. We could talk about will the mistakes that the city ready made the city council made over the years or someone made mistakes of you know they put the university not in the city. They don't build the stadiums. Perhaps on the water. They don't build you know the river walk or the water walk they could have had in buffalo but those are mistakes and they've changed it and revitalize it and it's growing and it's incredible place in the weather is what the weather is. Some people like it like that. You know there's a lot of outdoor activities you could do people love hockey in Buffalo. You can play outdoors indoors and one of the things we used to do growing up as play street hockey. Even if you didn't play ice hockey you anybody could to grab a stick and play street hockey and that's fun so you know it's it is the people and it's always fascinating to me. When someone comes from out of buffer like you come from Chicago you get drafted to Buffalo? You have no choice but to go to buffalo and embrace the city live in downtown be a part of the culture and show up and then show up at the time so Ralph Ellison Stadium now new era field and it's almost probably like you're backing college plane in these college atmospheres because I've been doing numerous. I've been numerous. Stadiums have been some college stadiums as well and it's almost like you can't describe the atmosphere for Buffalo Bills Home Game. Did you feel that as a player. Did you feel that coming into the stadium on Game Day. Yeah I kind of thinking taken for granted. <hes> you know when you're there air you know I it's it's Kinda normal you know but when you retire now and get opportunity to go to <hes> different cities and experience the college games and some pro games you know you really look back in buffalo me like they really did and stuff big there. You know so these other places and it's you know let's not is nearly it gets extravagant that you'll find at the <hes> you know won't bills drive but <hes> yeah man it's <hes> it's a special place you know and you know there's always room for growth anywhere you go but you know I was back there last year recently and man just to see <hes> you know how the city's changed since I've been there I can just imagine the next fifteen to twenty years. That's it yeah the the new ownership right Vilson was the owner now. It's the pool of family that owns the bills and changes our they made the playoffs you know whether they got it. Is You know it was interesting. How that happened? It didn't have the the great season but they slipped in there at the end and accounts right so that made the plus it's had been seventeen years. which is Kinda crazy and you know there's a new vibe about the bills right now and we'll we'll see where that goes? It's been tough as a bills fan because you're always hoping for good things but I don't put it. I never put it on the players right. I think management can make decisions they can whether it's drafting wrong or changing the coaches every few years or not finding as we all know you not finding the quarterback of the future and they had Jim Kelly like you said for all all those years. They had this incredible core but those different air the N._F._l.. Free Agency had it really hit the bills yet. They kept their <unk> together for all those years now. It's like you can't have all those players on the same team for all those years because one player's GonNa want something more and they have the right to do that to become a free agent and next thing you know they're not on the team anymore Andre Reid or Thurman Thomas Probably they couldn't all stay together right so things over the so. Let's see what happens now but do you do you follow the bills. I'm sure he's still follow the N._F._l.. Football and we're going to get into your involvement with sports and use sports and all that but do you still the N._F._l.. In the bills yeah do do the trouble looking. You know what's going on. You know trying to play transactions just to see what's going on with the community <hes> yeah absolutely still can you feel good about like the direction that they're going from. Someone who understands it and I think like offensive Lineman people that you really have a indepth knowledge that the average fan or even the more not the average fan would have about the game and kind of seeing the direction that they're going to you. Look at the bills with your experience in your your your expertise on the game. Let's say and you feel good about the direction. They're going yeah. I really do <hes>. Obviously it always starts with the Q._B.. Position it seems like Josh Allen as their guy after the future you know so I got an opportunity to see him. <hes> you know his his draft class of Q._B.'s and you know just watch me throw it. A kid got strong as arms. It's you'll ever see you know so. I just think he <hes> you know. <hes> hopefully doesn't have a sophomore slump and you know you got. God forbid that you know because the kid definitely has talent. You know that that there's no question you know so it starts there. I think they got a pretty solid core group of guys around the aboard especially defensively you know so an excellent job but bringing in some <hes> you know some some great draft picks at Oliver Junior. You know it's going to be tremendous tremendous play in this league. You know <hes> you know <hes> Aaron Aaron Donald. I believe you know so <hes> yeah. They got the pieces and Sean McDermott is the guy to you know. Put everything together. You know making sure that <hes> you know the talented they have is being utilized effectively so so they can win football games because obviously the Patriots are always going to be there. You know in Miami's <hes> you know emerging as well you know in the you know certainly can't count on the jets Dole. A._F._C. was always a you know to me one of those. You know the top three conferences in the N._F._l...
