"Right well don't forget today happens to be the four year anniversary of the passing of friends who died of an accidental fentanyl fentanyl overdose at Paisley park Paisley park on by the way remains dark today but there is a and all star Grammy salute on CBS it's a two hour special tonight are there's gonna be lots of stars from earth wind and fire to back they're all going to be performing prince songs from the eighties there's a big Minnesota connection of course Jimmy jam Terry Lewis that were a big producers for prince they were also called musical directors of along with Sheila E. on this show Morris day and the time the revolution are all going to perform revolution drummer Bobby Z. it says the timing of this special is very prince like in an era of like low budget zoom television performances from stars living rooms leave it to prince to bring a fully staged spectacle into our living room because this was recorded I believe in January if that makes sense hello that making sense right timing works out in their favor for sure yeah it was pre recorded so I believe I mean you'll hear some studio quality live live on stage yeah so that'll be kind of the older Indian audience I think there will be I didn't go to just a I do think there will be huh that would be something just to see people close to Maya Rudolph I believe it is hosting ushers going to be a part of this it's going to be cool my rid off who would famously she was beyond say in the prince show sketch on Saturday Night Live as Fred Armisen played prince it was so funny oh my gosh that stuff was fabulous prince would hardly say anything by Rudolph is beyond say would say everything and she was just rinse and whisper in her ear and then she would say prince wants you to sit on that horse over there and then there was a carousel horse in the corner and then the person would go sit on the carousel horse I can I ask you guys a question where were you when where were you when you found out that that prince pass were you on the air to exactly where I am right now yes the young yes and we were following so how do you how do you remember the news coming to you and you finding out about it absolutely alive so I was on the air with Marlene tam and cam was obsessed with following this story because listener had actually tipped us off and called and said there are ambulances all over at Paisley park and we want to know what's going on there so it Tammy who was like one of the most inquisitive people I've ever met in my life and she started like just looking everywhere and while we were in the middle of talking about something completely unrelated all you heard was coming from Pam side of the room she was in the room where I am right now and it she said that TMZ was reporting and confirming and we were just following this story life just live while we are on the air just looking for confirmation and it was just a fire while it was so sad like one of the saddest days ever so I'm glad that they're still do I remember a little I was I was going to if timing is correct my head I was gonna go appear on them the midday news which is like from eleven AM till twelve on channel five so I'm doing hair makeup or whatever they TV outside of the new studio channel five and and I'm looking at it says you know it says that there are ambulances on site and then I'm just like oh goodness I wonder what happened there and then if I remember service brandy Powell was anchoring the news and she's talking our political reporter Tom house Tom Hauser who lives in chant Hassen and so he could get there quickly and he's giving a report and then brandy like cuts in and then the the graphic on the bottom of the screen changed and it said TMZ reports princes that animal I know right and like and then everything you know then you're just like absorbing that information and then we're trying to figure out how we do our show differently that day and the odd timing of all of that was that was four or four years ago so prince's death shares the same date as Twin Cities lives anniversary so prior to the outlook it's our eight year anniversary at this point what we do what kind of room you know do you want to do and then all of that changed so today is the twelve year anniversary of Twin Cities live but when we decided to to princes yeah isn't that interesting how you do that like my on my birthday I think it was my thirtieth birthday was the day that princess Diana died while it was like oh oh it's just so it's just so tragic but you know you tie those things together all the time right where were you all I recall I was still in Saint cloud of the times free school yeah how far right St cloud state university I remember it happened in the morning I got the update on my phone I woke up and was going to go to class and then I just saw the news and everyone was very forlorn on campus you know they're all talking and then I remember that night was a Thursday night and I remember we had a gathering at our house and we use only played prince music on vinyl the whole time there's idiots making requests a I believe this to park song and I had a she come up and say no no prints only we just played friendly play prince all right is a video me floating around as wearing a furry vest and a headband and a sunglass hours showing people away from the record player trying to change the music very fun video quick right just as a reminder if you're joining us for the four year anniversary of the prince's passing there is a Grammy salute so this was this was taped after the Grammy awards January twenty eighth at the Los Angeles convention yes so there will be a live audience and it'll be on CBS tonight so definitely as watching that and I love that we just keep remembering prince and paying homage you know to the great one you think next year next year this time there will be it you know right now it's sort of my you'd obviously with all of the crown of our stuff that's going on but actually the five year anniversary so a match and some people are prepping some things for a big nostalgic look back at that you know sad anniversary yeah and I mean it's queen Elizabeth's birthday today too saw that date as well as the potency is ninety four she looks collide while you guys I mean ninety four is ninety four years of age and she looks good well what I mean question do you know she does a lot of work done not even being a royal we know this is a little out of a lease on its own to understand that I know he gets all mad in her seventy years of reigning over Great Britain that she has made five public addresses hi that's hard work you can come to you during this interesting time respect she looks good she looks good I respect that how will the holes Philly you think you'll still be working at ninety four dollars and they know thank you Philip is he's ninety eight how will be ninety nine in June how fun will it be if he makes it to her and to have just a huge jubilee jubilee had jubilee would hit the spot right now what yes it really would except it won't are we gonna go when we come back it is Ryan getting some competition Steve big time big time Ryan very famously did a tutorial on how to put together an old fashioned all right and if you thought that you were the only well to do man wearing glasses octyl tutorial right now you would be sadly mistaken you have got some big time competition from one of my favorite actors on the planet we'll let you listen to all the little side by side Ryan verses this new entrant into the cocktail tutorial world after the break on my talk on a seven one everything entertainment my top one of seven one everything gives you endorphins endorphins make you happy happy people just don't shoot their husbands entertainment he broke in down the around the world and in the Twin Cities we've heard the descriptions from the daily lives of health care workers like a war zone why chefs no sleep thanks S. stressful shell shocked pushed to the brink but also what we're trained for and it's why we do what we do wants to help Minnesota's health care workers with meals housing childcare and other programs that are designed to help get them through while they are in E. R. as in ice use risking their own lives to save others there's no way to possibly thank them enough for the sacrifices they are.

Madonna because she's just gonna forget about you the only thing is is I feel like she doesn't keep sound hours and she's gonna come and find you I have this impression that I'll be laying on a pillow like I'll just casually looked to the side and Madonna's on the other pillow with her dying well do you feel a little bit like living with Madonna would be similar the little Julia I knew if I totally that is exactly what I was gonna say so it's like we all know a little bit because she will come three AM yes maybe a little in the camp not actually in the can but in the bag I may as the I think she J. real name is not on the pickles yeah yeah he's at Steve's house circles and he's figured out some stuff here they've been doing a fantastic job yeah J. Paul the working hard man they really have no tracking to make sure everything's going okay I just came in here to call me an idiot and I called him an idiot back and it's up there's a light bulb situation how many engineers of Dale change a light Ryan at least once I don't know how to do it that's just the truth that was near a joke what do you mean you don't know who I need a screwdriver and they know where to keep the light bulbs around you so I do need one engineer I can't do it I don't know how I do wish I had a tool belt like us like not a not a leather one that sort of slack but a nice I saw one of the property brothers wearing a nice pulled out that looked like it fastened with like a a clip like that you would see on a on a bell backpack or a car seat that you just would tighten I'd like that I just don't have any tools you know I I just saw a video of Jason Momoa on with Ellen and he got up to do something and she goes is nice on your on your belt and he he had a holster for a nice anyway so no there's no I took the knife out and she's like but wait a minute why do you why are you walking around in your house with a knife in a holster really have a good explanation for it but anyway I digress what do you want to talk to me about what the texting well I just think that so Ryan is not Ryan is our real millennial on the show where and how often did Pete Davidson thing you know the will say something right right we got an idea that this is going to do this and this and this and this all right okay okay and I noticed Donna just in this is just really started recently it flared up recently you have leaned into just okay no punctuation as a response doesn't matter how short or long the text had been and I've done this before so this is an opportunity I think for all of us to grow together but you are very millennial recently in your text responses and taxed as we all know are void of tone and so you don't know what this person means by okay yeah that's not yours read like okay I'm interested okay now you upgraded it last night and you said with this help and then you offered means to which means are always a better way of they're always better for a one word or two word response okay because they offer color and envision an animation I was giving you what you wanted instead of what my intention was so my intention Ryan would say Hey we're gonna be talking to someone so at nine thirty tomorrow this is in a group text and I would just write back okay but you were when you were receiving it as okay yeah you need to put an exclamation point on the end of that what is the unnecessary exclamation point and I learned this from Twin Cities live executive producer Christian answer who he would not drive himself as the most outwardly cheery guy at all times she's mission minded he's like I can I can work alone or I can work with people whatever but he is always excessive an ex schoolmate eighteen incorporating injecting tone into his text responses now someone let me tell you a story someone once sent me a a a news reporter from channel five brandy Powell news anchor said Hague what was that Opala wait I sent out you cut out sorry about that what was so brandy Powell five Eyewitness News anchor she had sent an email to Elizabeth Christian and I and said what was a recipe for Bubba blah and then I center back thinking I'm being very helpful center back in email with the link to it and then I just said see for yourself no thinking like I was really quickly helpful to her and then they were like whoa who do that sounded really harsh and I was like oh what did I do need to and so your O. K.'s recently have sounded a little like okay but you mean them as okay I'm trying to be a good I just need to add an exclamation short there are too many rules and there's no rule book edit your right it's unwritten rules but I don't know what the unwritten rules are because they keep changing remember when everyone sent emails all in lower case nobody ever used any like capitalizing of letters or anything then one day somebody changed the world remember when it was two spaces after a period now if you don't believe it you know if you go to spaces people are like okay Bomer it's like you just you know where what if we would you be willing would you be willing to test drive exclamation points just to see how they read and how they feel I was told not to use punctuation like if I were to use if I were to write okay period people would be like oh no she's angry no doubt there was a whole article that I just read all about that is it was called digitally communicating in the age of coronavirus and why your tone now more important ever but I still this time yeah they were people are more sensitive okay so this coronavirus rules and there's the everyday rules that when this is all over we're gonna go back to the everyday rules are we gonna keep the corona virus now rules I can't it's a hybrid I'm going to be a hybrid I'm going all right I don't belong to me okay bye right what music means cannot one of seven one everything you like apples yeah well I got a number I feel like they're my entertainment neuter source of family like no other Hey my talkers it's chase you guys know the neuter source is a third generation family owned company out of Perham Minnesota and right now is it so important for all of us to support local Minnesota companies and you can't get much more Minnesota then Parham and I'm loving the emails I'm getting from all of you that have switched to a neutral source as a great and easy way to support Minnesota businesses during this trying time but more than just supported you know that they produce excellent pet food to support the long term health of your pets with one facility and that means a consistent product and I know it.

U. and the range of people this is something that we learned five months two hundred and four years old also the range is really really you know yeah no scale yeah okay you know what is the most virus does not discriminate yes it's in no one is immune to them and so that's very difficult so that brings it's fifty nine new cases today wow that's our second highest are our biggest was on Monday with sixty six to grab that brings us to a total of three hundred and forty six that are going on right now and this is something that we're gonna be talking about in the news at six o'clock over case to be on channel five in that six to seven hour brandy Powell went and talked to I believe it's United health me double check that and that yes it's United health and they have a test you know we've seen the test you've probably seen some of the pictures of the test for you stick that long measles while I'm in your nose and while they have found that they have a a swab test with a short stick it just goes right in the front that is there find it to be ninety percent effective so the FDA as changing as guidelines a little bit and this is a test that you can just take a swab at right now the lower the front part of your nose yeah and then health care workers will take it and so I think there are a couple of really good things about this that brandy was telling me about so the good thing about this is that it actually cuts down on some of the protective gear that our health care workers need because when you stick this long thing down your nose it can make you cough it can make you sneeze yes it even makes some people vomit so there's like lots of things that can happen in this right and they tested the seeping in Seattle so yeah and so and so it's something that's being being used here now we're still working to find out exactly which clinics have.

"Thank you my dear friend Dr Beth take care and we can't wait until you're open again channel five I witness is going to give us our update hi brandy how's it going in Galway it's it's going we just gave a positive story about a Yale junior who just did something great with his invisible hands just kind of help you know but we need some news from you because we know the governor had an update today but we don't know what that was you don't Lori Julie I he did he had an update and I love the positive stories by the way you're doing because so many people I mean I can even think of just my neighborhood so many great neighbors helping neighbors and fantastic I mean yeah it really is so but here's the deal with the governor the news that maybe we don't like to hear of course is the number of cases continue to rise we're now at a hundred and fifteen people in Minnesota who been diagnosed with COPD nineteen here's the deal we're talking people ages seventeen a young seven to ninety four years old the good news is no children no deaths and the governor said the vast majority of people are recovering at home the key with that is the real fear here the governor was saying it's not the virus itself but because there's nothing right now to combat the virus the concern is that will overwhelm the health care system so it's good that we have the vast majority of people who are recovering at home another big point you know we've all been doing the social distancing right now we're in completely different studios I don't even yeah but the deal with that is there is evidence that state health officials have found that there is community transmission in Minnesota I mean again the importance of that social distance scene really is critical that community transmission meaning Hey you're near someone who had it and that's how you got it rated son so hard surfaces mail cardboard twenty for I mean you really have to be conscientious of keeping your hands clean and wiping things down and out of your face and hair in your eyes and characters that I'm keeping your distance which is a hard right hand it's like that's what we we normally we get used to an archer hands dry because you've been everyone's actually doing such a good job of the hand washing which you know who that's great and also like gosh we gotta get some lotion up in here too well I I mean I feel like it you know the medical people have these like if they done some kind of math that they get worried about that we have lawyers and this was already done okay yeah speakeasy Toastmasters at the national level no I mean and the thing is everyone there's all these questions that everyone has right now and I know a lot of people you know even wondering oh my goodness that tax filing deadline the federal deadline now state deadline to coming up good news president announced today that federal tax filing deadline now pushed back to July fifteenth you may already know that but if you haven't it's been pushed back the governor is saying that he needs legislative approval but I tried to make sure that Minnesota I tax deadline can get pushed back as well which you know would be great but we're all dealing you know with challenges here and some folks who could potentially help the national guard of course the governor just said in his press conference that he does want to activate the National Guard beds would be the ones to pay for that but he said that that could be anything from getting help to giving food out to people helping with shelter even help with prisons I'm among many other things aiming and brandy excuse me what about the tasks did he say anything about the testing what are the deals so Kris Ehresmann she's wonderful with Minnesota department of health I've interviewed her dozens of times there is seventeen hundred tests right now outstanding in Minnesota you know and those are the governor has said the concern here is that people you know right now not anyone can get a test so if you got a test they're thinking okay you might you might have it you might not but doctors thought it was important for you to get tested so they said that those numbers could potentially in the next few days once those tasks are able to be tested there is a problem of lack of testing materials right now that that number could skyrocket but maybe not to be so alarmed they're saying this at the national level to that as we see those numbers go up it doesn't mean necessarily that were were Italy as for example it's just that so many tax have not actually gone through that testing procedure to see if you have a covert nineteen or if you don't but once those seventeen hundred go through we could of course expect that number to rise but again today it's now one hundred fifty sees me one hundred fifteen cases of coping nineteen in Minnesota yeah it well and I guess you know we should I guess I'm glad that you know walls you know we we we we went on lockdown a little bit earlier than maybe some other states even though it was a brutal I'm I mean is it crashing to businesses I know you know it's tough when you bring up such a great point I mean what he was saying today he's doing everything in his power to keep the family safe and and not you know it's a tough it's a fine line because there's been some criticism that Hey you're making it so tough on businesses and he acknowledges he this is tough on everyone we're making these really hard decisions an important point to that there is no shelter in place order they haven't announced that today of course California New York now Illinois has that he says we don't need it yet in Minnesota he also mentioned in the press conference at this point malls they could close if they want to there's no mandate that is a possibility in the coming days but again a lot of the scenes you know sort of outlandish oh my gosh what are they doing but you know that federal officials and state officials of all been saying Hey if you're at home thinking my goodness this seems extreme that means were at a good spot when you get to the point where you say okay I'm glad they're doing this I'm glad they're shutting down this this and that's that's the point when we're behind right well and and anyone who has watched the Italian PS that was all together last week because the Italians he just said you know what they are they didn't even know the attorney they were telling them don't go out you know they just ignored it yeah and and then they they're like you know they're paying a consequence for it so it is that is one thing and we're not a heavily populated state we're not going to have some of the issues that you have on the too close and I couldn't be more grateful I think everyone feels that way to be in flyover cabin country he is our time to shine right brandy at the end of you know when you guys are you know you guys are done all that you know journalists and stuff are just everybody is working so hard times worse we were so glad that walls recognize the you know people work at the grocery stores as emergency workers he did you know yes and and aren't they right I mean you think about the super heroes the pharmacy people everybody the garbage people the truck drivers I mean the hot of course and not to have our hospital people in ER and all of that but there are people that are still going you know I had to work in putting themselves in front of the public in some way they are and you have to give your hands you know take your hats off to them he also I mean he mentioned Hey Bravo child care workers in fact he mentioned in this press conference just a short time ago that thirty eight YMCAs are going to be providing child care yep starting Monday could you think of the kids you know the first responders appraisals here providers and he I wanted to have this this is just a little silver lining a bit of that good news you guys mention with the businesses the governor mentioned that Barnes and noble the business is actually up can you believe it that's because he says people are buying a lot of books or educational books for the kids so I mean yeah it's a silver lining you know yeah I love this yeah we've got some of the the leaders on finding here right here at the university of Minnesota they were on the news this morning and that feels reassuring and I know Medtronic is going to amp up the ventilators and a lot of local businesses M. three M. in the mass have been gearing you know ramping up for a while now yeah right and even hate with the meals get this eighty nine thousand meals being served in schools and you know five Eyewitness News were a part of it it's called the Minnesota central kitchen and so Minnesota central kitchen is what it's called and they're actually dining sites all over with loaves and fishes and so people can go there now getting these free meals we did hear that it's great isn't it wonderful yeah look it up brandy we did not know that I love Hey we're breaking the news for you guys yes I need my kids TV Twitter you have a little one don't you Laurie Julian thank you for asking you know what I do and I have to say I had a moment this was just a few days ago she's four and a half months old I'm holding her my husband comes down to the kitchen and I said oh my goodness I said I just saw something on social media and there's a mom out there who couldn't find for me a lot because it had been reported and I literally my voice started shaking I almost went into like the big ugly cry but I got up before then said okay let me try to find this and I pulled it up and I said oh my gosh wait she didn't say it she said toilet paper and my husband and I kind of laughed as we said right where in that boat and I have to say it's one of our neighbor friends got wind of it and we came home and and there were four rolls of toilet paper and we sent like seriously blast all of the wonderful people yes for helping out with stuff like this now it's scary you know you think you want to protect your kids and you want to make sure to give them everything to be healthy and stay alive and it's just on certain times yeah it is an exciting when you have a little one and they were even talking about people who are delivering within the next two weeks in hospitals they've been talking about that and there's questions about that well either isolating that part of the hospital from other people you know there's just a lot of questions would be a really hard time to have a new automatic I think in fact it might be today one of my very best friends who's in Spain and you guys know Spain yeah the whole globe we're dealing with that I studied there a very close friend there she's she's ready to give birth I mean literally any day now and they have been you know pulled up in their houses it's kind of like you can't leave there so yeah can you imagine no I can't I can't be a good time to know a midwife or doula right now all right well being in there and what a treat having you today brandy Powell she's on channel five Eyewitness News otherwise known as case to be a witness news I mean you always do that so you can tell your old school we see channel five I always see kids.

"On the side of the US constitution on mereka furs there are a lot of people in the swamp who claim to be experts when then all that just below the ages I have in my studio right now one of the true experts is Chris the C. Harmon historian professor brand share of great power competition of the marine corps university former colleague of mine I wanted to say and all four of the terrorist argument Morton advocacy and propaganda we were talking about how terrorist groups undefeated how they and on this fabulous case study of the bottom Meinhof gang the world thought reflects alone good old police work and the application of at the time very cutting edge computer work yes yes it was he was will help course Herald in this in the police was with one of the first in the world to ever apply computerized technologies to terrorists and he managed to feed into the system everything they could learn from arrests in interviews and deaths and the others until they gradually knew it immense amount about the group and that allow them to do pinpoint arrests which were often non violent so of course the Germans with their legacy had to be particularly careful in suppressing dissidents and they did so the other great case which is of reminding us well I can remind us now in terms of computerized work was also done by the French against their own right wing so after they had all but lost the war with the FLN Algerians there was an uprising of the right wing in France the rank reactionary offices right angry at the loss about cheerio they were they were they in the included many veterans they had a lot of money they had a lot of personnel all over the Mediterranean as well I was on jury and they call themselves the secret organization well A. S. was similarly broken by really good French policing they had turned their attention to the to the to the left and now they turned it to the right and they were more successful at suppressing the right wing terrorists and all of that was done with the early computers so now of course we have a staggering amount of technology like that which goes into hunting and finding terrors whether they're armed or not whether they're going to be arrested or whether it we can't do that in the end up being killed in and let's look at our own experience in how terrorist groups and in the last eighteen years can you see trends in patents can you grade dos in waves what what have we become pre eminent at what do we need to do better I think there's a a need to move into the next phase of the counter ideological how do you see professor hominid you look at the last eighteen years the law enforcement side has developed well when you when you and I consider the exploration of groups like the order a neo **** group in the eighties worse Symbionese Liberation Army while communist group in California from the roughly the same period the seventies we're looking at groups that were policed up a lot of the right wing groups were dealt with in the eighties by very good infiltration by the FBI and currently the drive to deal with the SUNY along alarmist and militants here in this country has been led by efforts to preempt and to capture and to penetrate a so that no action occurs the heritage foundation this kept a very nice website for many years about pre empting suni Muslim militant attacks in our country and I think the tally as of August was up to something like a hundred and fourteen so that includes small groups but includes a lot of loan actors and so preemptively we've gotten much better and we've been good at law enforcement we know you've been going overseas but I completely agree with you that there has to be a whole new approach with respect to the ideological side we have talked about this in our state department and with our allies foreign allies for many years but the United States has yet to become really good at that yeah but as far as I'm concerned is the next challenge and hopefully the challenge for the second trump administration I'm Sebastopol CA and this is America first talking to Christopher Hama professor of the marine corps university the branch of brandy Powell competition great pow.

"Doing right now I'm not going on over there sorry it's like I'm like my Mrs at that I said something wrong that's better now your eyebrows yeah dipping down to the thing of like a hand say those things yeah sorry what's going on going on there don is not here the gentlest with Reese filling in she's in a special space ship off Iran's hi it's good to be with you good to be with you till okay so let's get into the texting etiquette thing you were talking about many thanksgiving yes and I'm gonna pull up my text messages for me I thought great this is a good time to do that got it let me say this now lives with it said you know a while ago like we're gonna many thanksgiving your brain and I'm gonna make it because you can have a little baby I don't know see you're not a newborn yeah many thanksgiving was held last Sunday yeah at my home we did this with the Twin Cities live staff the first six years that I was on the show and we ate very good location sometimes it be at my parents house because my parents house was much bigger than mine sometimes it be in my house and then Steve came to the show and see cancel many true you sad I don't like to sort of camaraderie and I'm not interested in doing this all for canceling it no the reason that it went down the tubes was because our boss had a Halloween party that was just a couple of weeks before what would have been many thanksgiving so then it didn't happen that year and then it seemed like the Halloween thing was gonna happen at Halloween dissolved and then many thanksgiving just stayed away not one of those had to go until I bought a new house and then I have more space to have everybody it was very challenging my old house had eleven hundred square feet fitting like thirty people in it was tight Elizabeth sends out a in email last week saying Hey everybody here the details love of life you can RCP they'll be great some trying to you know make sure that I have enough seats in plates and all that kind of stuff a lot to figure out a lot of people coming over she said if you just had a new baby you can be a game time decision now let's talk about Steve the jock for a moment yeah the man right game time decision slash in the world of fantasy football means there's a one PM kickoff you might find out at about twelve thirty okay so this is how I interpret game time decision anyway I have a thought and goodness what time it was on a roll around football time as like I should send Elizabeth a text message and keep in mind that the gathering is starting at four o'clock is when people are arriving late game and also keep in mind that when Steve if Steve shows up to this event it will be six people six humans showing up so it's not just like Hey it's one person making it or not making it eight six human cells show up in a giant so okay I get a text message from her and I'm like no that's just not the time those gonna reach out her but anyway either way either way it says this hi friend exclamation point just checking in on this afternoon no pressure at all the planning seating for the kiddos and wanted to see if you think you will make it I imagine your price smoking at this point I can get it a coming on us I was that if I had your schedule last week I'd be curled up in the fetal position all weekend so I completely understand the drive to the city feels like too much exclamation point is a reason why I did noting exclamation points and I sent her back this response let me say it okay he replies with was just about to send a note we are going to pass period now now let me jump no no no you got to read my text message and I'm gonna read yours are you going to complete the text message because when I came into the office on Monday you would stop interrupting me I complete the text message it should be noted in the office on Monday she did not complete the sentence I come in the whole team is looking at me angry that I just before you reach the end of it you read it out loud and I was like thinking you know my brain is so much much at this point though except for today nama genius bridges but she said you said that and I thought I guess sometimes I said like about text messages in then she went on to read the back half of it about five minutes later and I was like I'll I wrote that to didn't even know that I don't do well here's what it said was just about to send a note we are going to pass area hope it's a great gathering period we are in for next year pinky promise period not a single exclamation point in time the we are going to pass what dismissive and I was like oh how wonderful that you are just going to pass on this gathering of our entire staff that we are going to show gratitude for and to that I have been you know I don't know planning a menu arranging seating but we are going to pass now I think this all would have no Ryan I want you to give us your verdict are you team Lizzy team Stevie well it sounds like Steve was like a blackout drunken does he remember because I know I guess children can have that effect on parents sometimes and the message of motions can certainly get lost in text messages they were a lot of history of this they were just clearly communicated I what exclamation point would have made that what has changed a whole game one the whole game and that's a text messaging thought I don't think it's Steve's full instead of we are going to pass but it probably would've been better if I said turns out we're not going to make it that would have felt better yeah past makes it sound like I've per I've looked at my options yeah yeah the people I could be with you to make the cut now I'll double down on me so one time Christian Unser our executive producer Elizabeth and I all get an email from the lovely brandy Powell five Eyewitness maternity leave it as a band congratulations to brandy and she sent a note to all three of us and said Hey was this mentioned in this story today early could you tell me about this with this in a story about a block I immediately respond thinking I am being super helpful here while these schmucks just sit here without responding and I find the link on our website send it to her and just put see for yourself period it was you being so helpful so evidently my texting could use some yeah like.

Jerry's got an incredible story. That's told in his book shit. The moon said. If you're interested in, in what that is. And that book pick it up. I'm sure it's on Amazon. If not drop me, an Email offer how to get your book. Because there's. There's the story of Jerry is this incredible man, who is used to not be so incredible. I Jerry was a man that owned big real estate portfolios, and then own a mortgage business, and then sold that off and pissed away all the money, and we're talking tens of millions of dollars then grew what I can only imagine to be one of the largest plastic surgery practices in the country grew that an exit that for ninety plus million dollars. But time all the water found its level he was left with about sixty one million and he was still way off pace. Like still way off. Course. Jerry was the guy that was sedating with alcohol with porn and would drugs and too much was never enough. And although he was married and had kids, he was internally in turmoil sound familiar to you. Like he was searching he always knew. There was something greater, there was a greater calling he'd been to the self help things he'd had coaches he'd had. Mentors psychiatrists psychologists and all types of stuff, and it was, like, there was something more. And eventually came down to Costa Rica, and found a Boga, which is another medicine. They can be used to create enlightenment to open up, what could be possible for you and through that his depiction of exactly what happened is in his book Shinmun said, so when forty five sessions write the moon itemize and documented to him, exactly, how to create this resort, and it's all. Recorded every session he had his recorded, so the we could all. No, it's not bullshit. That's how powerful was that basis. That thing that happened caused him to find this resort and buy it. It's, it's there. And so we, he comes here and he buys a resort and the resort is a shell. There's nothing here. There's certainly property in buildings. But there's the center did not exist. And so this is about five and a half years ago from right now. And then he he staffs resort, and he finds a ripe people in the right places. And, and it's been growing right? Five thousand people or so through the doors of this place. And that's only the tip of the iceberg. There's so much more here. One as I made mentioned, Jerry, I become friends this week. And I realize from some of the things that, that he's doing. And then areas for tune for growth that happened to be things that I'm doing. There's an incredible strategic. Alliance between me taking the skill sets that I have and pouring them into rid Mia. And pouring amid arrhythmias based off the fact of wanting anything in return. I don't want to be on payroll. I'm not looking for salary. I'm not looking for anything other than to help people find this light in the night. See there's a great chance as you're listening to this right now. And you follow this journey of rid Mia, that you're intrigued maybe questioning maybe like I would really like to go. I don't know how can I afford it? Can I not? What is Iowa? What does it do doesn't make me a drug addict? What are all these things? My friend. I understand I understand, because these same mental confines in these trappings were things that I battled with four years of being called to this medicine. Let me offer a perspective shift for you. I waspa- primary active component is DMC Di metal trip to me as you breathe air right now. Your lungs are producing DMZ. EMT. I'll take you through a breath work exercise. That if you do it for forty five minutes to an hour, you will experience euphoric connection to a higher source that ties it self into the feeling of Iowa that same breath work has taught here at rid mea. It's an equal component to the plant based medicine. Let's move that aside, right? They're still biased. I get it because you know, I'm an eighties. Maybe drug resist drugs occasion, resistance awareness, whatever it was drug abuse resistance. Education dare write in drugs are bad. I don't disagree with that. I'm not advocating drug use. I'm advocating plant medicine use. Because I walked into being the root of a tree. Mix with the leaf of another tree. Created into a Bruin which you drink that has no habit forming qualities to it. It's simply encourages you to unlock what is already there at heels you from the inside out? The power that I feel right now from finally getting to meet who I am. Right. This isn't some blast often outer space, and, you know. We'll call it tripping balls and all this stuff. It it's not like that. This is the most deep introspective hardest work, you could do for yourself. Because forces you to get real with the pain in the trauma that has existed, not only in this lifetime. But over the lifetime that you have had prior to now. And with that, with that over four day period and very guided in very intentional way that is incredibly safe. There's this gift that comes in here. Arrhythmia it's referred to as your miracle. I'm here with sixty two other people sixty one if you exclude my wife and all of us have received some version of what we would refer to as our own miracle. The resort is a whole has a ninety four percent success rate, which I'm gonna work in how Jerry get it to a hundred because there's a way to do that with a with a lead up sequence. But I won't I won't get too deep into that right now. What I will share is the fact that, that this thing this experienced the way that this entire week has been constructed as with such beautiful intention, alley that my soul has been called to be here for a lifetime. He always opposed to go to Peru a year ago and experience. I walk in the jungle. A left happen than right? Happened in the trip didn't happen. It was actually when I had my abscess I was not cleared for travel. Next up after that there's an event in California. Also partaking I waspa- ceremony. Scheduling conflict, something else came up. Speaking engagement and a had to opt out of it. All of which led me to right here. And this only happens because I'm Ryan Daniel Maran's mastermind, and I ended up meeting some incredible people. Rob dial was as man. I'm speaking of rob had been here before I saw the rid MIA'S sticker on the back of his laptop like, man, what do you know about rid Mia, so man, I've been there? It's incredible. You gotta go. He introduces me to brandy Powell and Jerry, we have conversations back and forth. Brandy comes on the show. We hit it off because I had just come out of the backside of a mushroom experience and she is a big mushroom fan. So we bonded instantly mushroom brothers and sisters. Into into then them offer me the chance to come here to experience. What this is to spend time with them recording podcasts and doing things that are just outside the norm where else in the world do, do I get an opportunity to meet someone with the beautiful intention out of Jerry has nowhere. And so I come here in the heavy experience, and I feel called in

"Posed an interesting question this morning that asked. Who's who was who's responsibility is at the texter or the tech St. as far as consideration. And here's what I mean of time of text, I have friends who live in different time zones because of how worldly and very often on my way into work is when I do my best thinking, and then I'm thinking something I want to reach out to this person. And then I will go to start a voice to text for them. But then I think wait a minute. Now, it's only whatever five AM, I shouldn't do this. This would be inconsiderate. Right. Then by the time, I get to work I have stopped actually thinking about it. And then I don't so then I had an opportunity to be thoughtful in Centeno, but then I want to be thoughtful in not disturb them. And so the end result is I don't send them anything. Then it's like neutral thoughtful, not thoughtful, not unthought full. You know, what I'm saying point is do I need to consider that. Or is it my father? Laws responsibility in Hawaii to silences phone when he's sleeping so that test can come through wake up to it. I would say that the nice thing. Do on the part of the texter would be to be considerate to consider the time. That's what I would say. Because you can't guarantee that everybody's got their phone off. Maybe somebody's got problems sleeping. And then just even the littlest will wake you up. That's just an opinion. Now, I feel like it's the text e not texter I think even though I hold myself to different standard. I think it's the text the person receiving the text their responsibility to mute live rate. Silence. I put do not disturb on some text, reg where I know. Okay. These guys they're all chatting throughout the night. And then I just throw that on do not disturb. Oh, we asked on our Facebook page. How about when I am in a group tech surges hates being in a group to it's only actually like we're ferring to you a small portion of the time. But then can you just remove yourself from because then you seem like a punk is. It'll say Donna Valentine left this thread, you wanna do that. And that just sounds like you guys are boring me. Yeah. Yeah. I think the only time a group text is necessary as when all the people on the text. Let's say it's about a funeral. Oh, wow. Or if you're all meeting somewhere, and there's a change of time reservation. Yes. Only when necessary because then you start seeing responses from phone numbers that you don't recognize the phones are blowing up to a couple from our Facebook page. Missy hates it in text one. Somebody writes the letter k she says bother responding what if you add a note to that? Yeah. Better. How about this one? Or is that Sarah hates the use of ellipses OMG, just stop passive aggressive say what you need to say. Don't expect me to read between the lines period us, period. Oh, some people don't like a period in their cash to some people. Why is that? Proper punctuation. I there was someone from our newsroom brandy Powell from five eyewitness news after an episode of twin cities life, she shot off an Email to Elizabeth producer Christian. And she said, hey, I like that cooking segment where can I find the or what was the secret ingredient that they using that recipe? Again, I responded to her see for yourself period and then included a link. I thought I was being helpful Christian. And Elizabeth turned to me and said. Replied, all and they're like do a little harsh harsh who's making the rules. You know, like one day. Everybody's like writing real casually in text. And then the next day. It's like a it. It's a pet peeve of mine when people don't use proper capitalizing letters and using proper punctuation. I just I just wish we could all be on that group tax. What the rules were use emojis? Don't use it mo-. Jeez. I don't know. All right. Let's go to the phones we got how about Katie. Let's go to Katie. Hi, katie. You're on the Dunston show. What's bugging about texting? Hi, good. Okay. So I think it is the texter responsibility for stop because think about that. You don't want to phone what if there's an emergency in the middle of the night, you need to get important, Paul. But even with that, I totally get wanting to them on forgetting to write your tack. And then you got all message on that sucker. And then you can decide to put in whatever you want what they're actually link. I know my thing is that I've never done it. But I I come on my phone. I have I have a I I gotta say whatever Android so you're much Royd skill because right now, I'm in a text message going text the word high period, by the way to Donna. And I don't see that. I want in mine I have to go up to the upper right corner to like my options right there. I mean, it's apple they've got to have a way to do it. You'd be surprised. Thank you talk to your phone until it to do them. I don't know if you can say let me try this right now. Can I send a text message later on an iphone? Let's try this. Do you do? John Valentine at ten o'clock. Does this work question? Mark. I'm gonna read often do. Donna, you have to look down at your phone and tell me if you get a text message right now, or if it appears at ten o'clock, if it appears at ten o'clock, so help me this will have changed my life. Thank you for the call them. Did you just get a text message? Did it work? What do you do? Okay. How about if we go to Dave? Hi, dave. Katie totally stole my thunder. However, I'm gonna one for a little bit here. All right. The scheduling you can actually Samsung just hold down the send button. And it'll say what do you wanna do? You don't have to go to the upper. Right. All right now. Let me see if that works with this high and nominal hold it down. No. And then it gives me an invisible ink gentle loud slam here. I'll slam it though. The iphone slam loud, gentle stupid. Come on come on. I like the loud one high. In your face. It just bubbles in your face. Samsung so far is winning really good with texting text the Dave? All right. Let's go to Elizabeth. Okay. So I haven't I phone, and this is how I black tech and noted in the middle of the night. I turned on my do not disturb. Schedule it. So every night at eleven pm until seven AM. I have a schedule do not disturb that kicks in touch button. Yeah. And you said in your go to study do not disturb, and then it says, and you scroll down allow calls from so I allow called from my favorites. Which would be my husband, mother shirts. Then if there's an emergency or the kids school or something anyone who's in my favorite comes through. Listen, everyone else's blocked because I think it's your responsibility as the phone owner who do that. I would like you to say your name again. Elizabeth my friends all who are listening. Elizabeth is our leader. You are our who Steve meaner. Wow. Very good. That's pretty cool. That's interesting. We have a couple of emails Seve. Oh, okay. Well, the first person says that I'm with you, Steve it should be the tech Steve responsibility because it could disturb certain people at any hour depending on their schedule. But I'm hesitant. Just like you. Another person emailed. I want to add that people text me all the time when I'm trying to sleep during the afternoon after working snow removal all morning can't really be upset about it. I should just silence. My phone. That's from Brian. Thank you for the Email. Good one on Facebook comments coming in on our Facebook page. We are asking what bugs you about text messaging. Laurie says includes the thumb of mood thumbs up emoji and says that damn thumb right? Ten fifteen words, and they give you the thumb feels a little dismissive. Sometimes sometimes I think you know, what I think the sums up is good for. What if somebody is in a meeting and just glances down and sees that? And then it just kind of a hold here. The text in a holding pattern until you can say more about it. While Andy says if the conversation is going to require more than ten words, just call Andy. Talk to talk on the phone about six times a year. How about this? Steve semi Joe says what bugs are employee's texting at work behind the counter with customers in the store. I don't care if you techs play on your phone. Just don't do it in front of customers. Vigil looks unprofessional. I've been in a subway line before namedrop where I get my subs, and they've had a sign at one of these that said do not use your phone while in line like while ordering get up to the glass phone down. Well, you're dealing with us to fight artists that to L said tone of voice is the worst part of texting I can't figure out if someone's being angry or sarcastic with what they wrote years, we still don't figure that out. That's the truth that is the God's on this. You know, what bugs me too? And then we'll get him Orissa on. What bugs me is? When it auto corrects words that you have no intention of using. Oh, I wanna that's as close as I come to throwing my phone. No. I don't mean, by the way. Any if I what you d misspell if I misspell it three times in a row just give up like say, I'm gonna let him do his own thing yesterday. I was sending a friend of mine attacks in it came out like PJ in the poop, something something. And I'm like, I just the next text. I sent was you know, what I mean? And he was like no idea. What you mean? I'm like forget it just forget about it. You guys. I'm having a problem right now. Sorry marissa. Remember, we have the caller tell us about if you hold down the button figured it out never mind high. Hi, Orissa Guten tag on the show. What is up about tetris? I don't know if anybody said this yet, it's kind of like the do not disturb thing. But for like individual techs conference you have you can put hide alert honor. So that would it doesn't like when you're sending the message. It doesn't end when you're getting one from that person or group text you're not getting like. So it's. And you just like on the phone just the top until then like happily. It's tied alerts, and you just go over and people just have them all the time because I don't need respond immediately rate. Okay. Good to know. Thank you. We also got the link from Katie she sent it to us on how to schedule your iphone. And I just I just checked it out in her heart was in the right place. But but it's not hurtful, but this scheduled thing there ten steps. A why can't I just say to Serey send on Valentine this? Text message at ten forty five today. Try it. No. I try to I didn't realize that. Then don't. Cendana Donna Valentine a text message at ten forty five AM. There you go. Hi..

"This is fifteen minutes of freedom. I'm your host Ryan Dahl in today is not Saturday. But my wife's in the studio because you're listening on Saturday. Hi, everyone. And so in typical Ryan, Lindsay fashion. We sat here for what I would say is two minutes probably was really five bantering back and forth on what to share today. Yeah. We always have like so many topics and then somebody throw something out disregarded than we'd do something else. So it's always just a winging it spur of the moment. Kind of deal for us is an in. The. Vein of winging it throwing it out there. We get to kinda wing a trip at the end of this month. We do I'm super pumped about this, so admittedly, I work. More than I maybe should right. I don't remember the last official vacation we took. It was after we got married almost. But how we go. It'll be a year two weeks to the year that we have been somewhere just to go somewhere like our honeymoon. Yeah. Those are some travel. Yeah. Was actually was not supposed to be our honeymoon. But turned out to be our honeymoon because we're terrible planners. I. So April twenty-seventh. To may fifth. We're going to a resort and all inclusive resort in Costa Rica by the name of rid Mia. Yep. Male life advancement center in Costa Rica is super pumped about this. Will you spell it? R Y T H M I A that is how you spoke with me because I messed that up so many times, and you can't spell to save your life. No, I'm not even gonna try. We're bring that up because I would encourage you to pause the episode good arrhythmia dot com understand life advancement center is I shared this. Because when this episode comes out there still time for you to join lindzen, I at rid Mia, you can do that a couple different ways. The most efficient way is going to be to Email me Ryan at life optimization group dot com. And I will Ford word you and your contact information to the team there to help facilitate you joining us. Yeah, they, you know. Yes. I think there will be enough time I believe so one hundred percent. And so what the rid Mia life advancement center ends up being. Is number one. It's a beautiful breathtaking resort in Costa Rica? Yeah. I mean, I I don't care. Stick me in the middle of the jungle just get me out of Ohio and take me to a beach. And I'm gonna look right now with the temperature is in Costa Rica ninety seven. I mean, I looked I've been looking because I'm trying to plan. I'm a girl, right? I wanna try to plan like what I'm gonna wear off for the day and coordinating swimsuits and like things, right? And then this guy burst my bubble. And he's like, it's not fancy. It's all casual don't wear heels to the pool I'm thinking what in the hell? Like, that's that's who. I am. If I'm gonna wear if I wanna wear heels to the pool with a matching, bathing suit and acute little cover up. I'm doing it. You wanna do? That's I'm so it's my truth. As a looking at the temperature right now in Costa Rica seems like for the next ten days at fluctuates between seventy eight and eighty degrees. Yeah. When I looked over the weekend, it was ninety seven. Low in the mid upper sixties righto very seasonal this time of year. I'm ready at fortunately as I say that potentially if you enjoy the rain, you should also come with us. Because this entire next seven days ten days it might be their rainy season. Yeah. Well, you know, here's I lived in south Florida for very long time. So here's what I can say about tropical weather with rainy seasons. When you get that close to the equator, I feel like it sits just in the right spot where it rains for twenty minutes, and then the sunshine opens back up and it's beautiful. And then it might rain for another twenty five minutes and then beautiful again that was typical of south Florida like the rain season. Where would say rain all day? It would really be twenty minutes and be fine in Ohio. It's grey and cloudy and miserable for the entire day. So I'll take twenty minutes away, rain, a concur. And for those of you that are geographically challenges. I have been before overture Costa Ricans being smack dab and Central America. Right. It is in between Panama and Nicaragua mascot, two sides surrounded by water. Really really going to be a cool spot to go excited. Now, I was fortunate to interview brandy Powell from rid meal that if you have listened for quite some time, you might have heard that episode. Where we talked about going down all the things could look and we finally agreed. And we're going down. And so if not you could also posits go back and search for brandy Powell tied this podcast. You get a better idea of what's going on there? For us. It starts with the fact of from Sunday

"This is fifteen minutes of freedom. I'm your host Ryan. I don't day. I have an incredibly special powerful guest brandy Powell the co founder of rid mea the transformational resort in Costa Rica Brady, how are you today? So good happy being here with you. Thank you. So very much. So I have to ask brandy right up front. If someone hasn't heard of rid Mia, and they were to just end up there and up with me like I drop them off on your front porch. What's the biggest takeaway they're gonna get from being in the resort? They're going into wake up to themselves. What we call it a miracle at rid Mia getting your miracle is actually reuniting with your soul. So, you know, through traumas and also believes in the programming that we all go through we separate soul, you know, from that place where at once we were one with ourselves as a child if gets caught in all of these difference, or as and when you leave rid Mia reconnected with yourself, and it's the greatest gift that anybody could receive. I absolutely love that. And so let's unpack for a second. Not really for seconds can be a big unpacking. What is rid me? Like, my listeners know, you know, what you're listening how advantageous plant medicine has been for me. Right. I've openly shared my mushroom experiences in the breakthroughs with that. And that's like to me. The tip of the iceberg branded are unified souls in our fact of enjoying mushrooms not necessarily together yet. But maybe one day in the future, but rid me has path. Charleston other sister. Yes, we are. Yes. We are. So what is rid Mia? How does it work? What's the plant based medicine? That's associated with it. Right. Like give us give us the pitch. Right. What is rid Mia? Yeah. So riba is a program that we create around plant medicine and use I waspa- as the plant medicine it rid Mia. And we've basically taken different breakthrough modalities and teachings including teachings with Michael back quiz who created a guy. So he has a life vision. In course, we have you know, yoga twice daily. We have farm-to-table organic food hydrotherapy colon cleanse, and then all of these different classes in shops to help you integrate the experience and understands the experience that you have in the evenings. We also do transformational breath work at the end of the program. That's incredible. That's incredible. So I wash go, where's your I guess source from right like the general curiosities for me? Do you guys grow? It yourself doesn't come from Peru. How does it are you able to share that secret? Like what where's it derived from? Yeah. This dealer comes with a big jacket. Nope. It up just deals at just kidding. We. No, we actually have different shamans that facilitate each night. And so it's really great. Especially a lot of the people that come to Rivne eah. This is their first time working with the medicine. So they get to experience different traditions. You know? So the first night is Shapiro tradition. And we have the second night is the Rubia tradition. We actually brew our own descent. So our shamans source the medicine, and then brew it there. We also have a women's nightwear. It's all female facilitators, and we will use the Santo Di may medicine, which is really the full in more visual brew. And then we on the last night is our Colombian night with the Sean that his work under title win Eacho from the Colombian lineage, and so it's really cool to have all these different experiences in. That's incredible. Like, how where did it even come from that such a brilliant idea? Like, I didn't know that going into this. Right. I'll fully say this. The the reason brain got connected, a friend of mine. Rob dial knows knows them knows brandy and her husband, very, well and connected me, so graciously, and that's opened up the springboard that I will be heading down to rid me of four is seven days. I believe is at five seven days of some amount of time knocker we long enough. But I'm gonna want more once I'm there. I'm sure, but I have committed that while I'm there every day. I'm going to share with you as you're listening. Mayan tire experience and journey right? Like, I'm gonna bring on my mobile podcast stuff down in that whole week will be the rid me experiences that pertains as pertains to my growth and what I'm going through. But I didn't even know there was that many different modalities that existed. Right. Like there. What sort of research where have you went like there's a lot that goes into this. This isn't like you just woke up one morning and say, you know, what? Oh, that's just all do some I- Wasco for seven days. This is this is just what it's going to be. No, it's it's it's constantly evolving. You know from the very beginning. It started out. We were any bogus. Enter and that was the main may send that Dryden I were working with on a regular basis. And and then we've, you know, the Meli guided all sessions around, you know, how the Graham works, and what modalities to bring in what shamans to bring in and what traditions to bring in. And then even those traditions were were vied they on the western people that are coming in. You know, so the Colombian lineage that we work with the grand thir- is hundred ten years old. So he oldest living shaman in the world that we know of right now. And he is he's the boss. He's still is still training our facilitators. He just went on tour, but you know, he actually took his traditions and and. Modified it for its to create a for the wealthy person to have experience of the jungle. So it's it's been a process of constantly evolving. Our program, and just you know, with the different shamans that we've brought in an and what they're traditions in in beliefs. Are we had to just you know, merge, it all together to create really our own our own program our own tradition. Our own way of doing things and it works. I love hearing that in like this whole process that you've been through the growth the expansion. When did you get the idea from for with me, and what created that right word where the the the SIV get planted? If you will for the Aboagye, and then they have Lucien like out. I'm so curious what that was like.

I couldn't stop laughing about you saying I was having a day. Like it was a day. It's a lot of work a lot of work long hours. Lot of hand shaking a lot of makeup. Lot of fried food. So you have only been in the twin cities for a couple of years, right? Almost three years now. Okay. So you come from the east coast. And then you enjoy you in South Dakota. I in Georgia than Pennsylvania all over the place. You're from Atlanta. Right. Okay. So you have never been really to a state fair before I mean. Two years ago my first, but I'm still learning. You know, I still I still see people who amaze me on a daily basis out there. Have you ever seen a double Turkey leg until this year, though? Not just one to two. But now when they were holding the Turkey legs Matt were they taking a bite from one bite from the situation. Oh, yeah. Yeah. It was everywhere. It would be just funny to have a blog about all of the crazy things that people do outed. Very do. They ask you the milk the cows or do and as an anchor as a TV professional personality too. I have never ever Melk to Cal. And I asked that this year, but I did runs, you know, fun and games at the case DP building. And I did host karaoke. And I did sing a little song. What's your go-to karaoke? Matt I'm kind of old school a little bit. So I love my Frank Sinatra New York, New York, nice and showy is good right jazz hands. Boy growing up. Oh, of course, what was your? What was your role in? High was Seymour in little shop of dork. Quadri? But that's the lead. Yeah. That is Audrey and Seymour. So you have. Thank you. It was love at first sight shuttle. Now, can I tell you what that I was on the shuttle with you too. Okay. So we were riding home from the state fair after hours. Oh, oh, can you tell that story? Well, one of the things that I can tell is that Matt you're quite the singer, and you can get people to sing along. I Sunday was my last night out of the fair. And as part of how you get the crowd going out there, especially for when we're gearing up for karaoke. You sing. Sweet caroline. And you can do it. Well, well, we got the shuttle going didn't you lady, but you can sing. Yeah. Well, now, you know, I know I can't. But he brought me a rose Danny because he let peace offering. Wants to be the new bachelor on our show just said you thought you could sing. No one else brought you arose because someone close to me told me that you are not the biggest fan of the bachelor and the bachelorette, and I said, I'm gonna just go headstrong into this and offer you and ask you. Julia. Will you accept my rose? I feel like I'm watching something inappropriate. On the beach. Alcohol, and you had the seven carat diamond ring to put on my face. No, thanks, but I did bring you coffee. So that was really nice. Okay. So you, you know, did you wanna be on TV? Did you wanna be you know, was that kind of the goal 'cause you here you go from a theater kid who can act and dance. How's that happen to serious, but I had like an inspirational journalism teacher in high school? And honestly, the TV thing was something that I never thought I could accomplish. I mean, I was the watched Katie Couric and growing up, and my my how things have changed over the years with all of those stories, but I I looked at those folks. And I said, oh, I don't know that I can do that. And I just decided to tackle it. And here we go like twelve years later, I'm doing it. So it's kind of fun and do people recognize you on the twin cities because if you don't know what he leaves like other than new we work in the same building. And you have. I've seen you on TV before you're such a sweetheart have seen you on TV. Honey, I really have. Okay. So, but what do you think do you watch the bachelor, what do you think of them? Casting. Virginal dude is twenty seven years old. Sexualities producer type snow fence. Donnie, they just like. Under the bus if they just like to create drama in. So they're putting these these people, and who they know are going to stir the pot, and then you've got the diva model guy. What is always like talking about sea salt spray for your hair and everything and I'm becka? Back on this. Yes, paradise says, it's just I don't know they plant people in there who they know are going to stir the pot, but I feel like this one is just a bad choice. What if he has undiscovered issues undiscovered things that he doesn't know about himself? And they're they're putting up there on TV that that's good television, isn't it? Yeah. People watch for those prices. I guess you're right about that. Okay. So you son Hamilton last night. Oh, yes. Oh my gosh. It was the best ever wa wa wa I didn't even know what to expect going into it. I listen to the soundtrack. It's a long soundtrack. There's so much music. Absolutely. And it was a long show. But it just it's nonstop the energy is incredible. I know it's the touring Hamilton. Everyone's but it is just jaw dropping and the set is Broadway quality that performers are top notch. I can't say enough. It was unbelievable. Listen to podcasts you could Dan Lewis Lotus because at three fifteen yesterday, we talked all about how long that Hamilton played took me. I don't listen to you. Relationship roles. So Matt if you were you know, what always makes you I'm gonna ask you. Get into no, ma'am. Yes. Okay. What do you think? The best song is to start a party. If you're gonna put on a sign. Well, like like like a party party Throwdown mix tape for your party that you're throwing let's get it started in here. Let's get it. That's good. Black the black eye peas are used to love them. And that's my team who did you have a crash who did you ever cross? Your you literally wrote down questions you're crossing things off a list right now. Honey, I'm prepared. I'm a professional. I'm loving it. Okay. Matt who did you have a crush on growing up? Oh my gosh. So many. I mean, you know, Leonardo DiCaprio. Yeah. I have to the whole Titanic thing. How do you feel today though? No, no kinda kinda didn't age. Well, he didn't who's an older actor that you think is hot hot hot. Why are you trying what I'm sure it's the same one as you who you rooting for. There you go. Yeah. He ate he's age. Yeah. I think I think Leo has aged well too. He's only forty you like, George Clooney, George Clooney. Have you ever met who's the most famous person you've ever met her interview? Besides US Vice President Joe Biden have interviewed the vice president. A couple of years ago. Toes in Pennsylvania. How was that the White House? So like they have rules for everything. And you've your three minutes of there's a stop watching. Well, we were we were talking about the economy at that time we were in the throes of two thousand eight and all the headaches and everything. And so I had some nice questions that brought it home to our viewers at the station. I worked out in Pennsylvania, and it was nice to get face to face with a leader. Like that. And really be able to ask them directly thinking about my family, and my friends and how they're impacted by things. Right. What about a celebrity in the world of Hollywood entertainment. I'm not really an entertainment reporter site W. Right. Dear miss. Julia. I wanna ask you.
