Fresh update on "bowling" discussed on The Erick Erickson Show
"Things happen. Your body just begins to fall apart on you and it's it's not fun but your body if you're a man is different from a female body and we're we're living in this weird post modern age were people's emotions trump people's truth and people have their own truth not the truth. And we're supposed to just just accept that a man can become a woman or women can come in but but biologically. We're not talking your feelings. I don't care about your feeling. I care about your feelings but not on this issue. We're talking about biologically. A man can't become a woman nor can a woman become a man. It is biologically impossible. You cannot change your chromosomes and we're not talking about the exceptions to the rule. The people who are bored with an abnormality where they have Three chromosomes they've got an x x y or an x. y. x. or or xxx y. Or xxxxx run. Talking about that. Those are the rarities. Were about normal. You can't change and studies. Show that boys who transitioned to become girls. They still have an added edge. Muscular. -ly they still haven't editor edge physically scholarly they have an edge and the left has so embraced these issues. That parents are turning against them in sports. Now there's more and more pulling out more than fifty percent of parents. According to recent polling from a variety of pollsters more than fifty percent of parents are concerned about boys competing on girls athletic teams and thereby depriving naturally borne girls of scholarship opportunities in sports or awards in sports. And you know that this is taken off as a credible issue in the republicans in the senate. Not not the house. Republicans with kevin mccarthy the very cool and calculated senate republicans led by mitch. Mcconnell are now using this as an issue on the campaign trail why because it's resonating with parrots. It's resonating in ways. They didn't think it would resonate leisure. Donald trump could use the issue. In fact it was the end of the campaign in twenty twenty. Donald trump started talking about this issue because his bowling began to show. This was an issue that move voters but it was too late. He didn't start talking about it. Really regularly of the campaign trail until october of two thousand twenty after early voting already begun the republicans now or seized on the issue in part because they see it's an issue in virginia. Your people of their kids people of their kids and if your child is transgender. You love your child..

Secret Joe Manchin ‘Agreement’ With Chuck Schumer Leaves Democrats Scrambling
"I was unaware of the mansion letter to Schumer, and you report that House Democrats were too. Would you tell us what that letter was and why I didn't know about it and White House Democrats are upset about it? Well, a couple. This has been out for a while actually political did break the letter story a long time ago. Joe Manchin and Chuck Schumer had a kind of secret agreement so to speak basically where Manchin said he would only spend the 1.5 trillion of the reconciliation bill. Here's what I would fake you. And I think you know this and I think a lot of people are beginning to realize it. A majority is only as strong as its weakest link, right? It's most conservative or most liberal member. And Joe Manchin is the linchpin for everything Democrats want. And so people can demonize him, which is fine. You're allowed to have a you're allowed to have one is allowed to have opinions about lawmakers. But anything they want to get done has to go through Joe Manchin and that's just something they need to become more and more comfortable with. So there is a trillion and a half dollar cap. It's called the mansion cap. Now I miss the letter, I missed the whole story. I knew that Joe Manchin has always been upset with the idea of three and a half trillion, but he voted to advance it. So I thought, so I missed the entire story. I read about it in punch bowl. Why did they not just from the beginning, deal with it? If Joel, if you got 50 votes and 50 against you, you've got to have match and mansion says a 1 trillion 5 and then cinema underneath that cap has her own demands as to every other Democrat in the Senate. They should have been I agree. I thought it was crazy for them to vote for three and a half $1 trillion budget. Not because it was three and a half trillion, but because they never were going to three and a half trillion. So I don't know why they got themselves all ends up for that. But the left wanted 6 trillion or 10 trillion. So, you know, that's kind of the reality they were facing. And now they have to deal with that. They have to deal with the fallout from that.
Jon Gruden Resigns as Raiders Coach Over Decade-Old Offensive Emails
"John Gruden has always been kind of a wild child in the NFL always been a little bit of a loose cannon, if you will. And I believe he was also he was also the coach of the Oakland Raiders in like the 90s. And then he went to the Buccaneers and led them to the Super Bowl very complicated. But then he rejoined the Raiders in 2018 after he was an analyst on Monday Night Football. Do you remember those things he used to sit down with the quarterbacks? And it was like Gruden's corner. I've never been a big fan of Jon Gruden. I'll be very honest. One in 2002, that's right, my memory's not too bad. I'm not going to be an apologist for Jon Gruden. Okay? I'm sure he lives a complicated life like most people in the NFL. But this recent saga involving in his resignation slash termination is disgusting. And the national Football Association is in many different ways. In enterprise that is built on a House of Cards. The entire structure of how many of the teams are filed as nonprofits on how almost every stadium is built thanks to taxpayer dollars. There's a lot of corruption that exists in the national football, the National Football League. And so it came out a couple days ago that John Gruden is going to be fired, or it has to speak out for his racist and homophobic emails over ten years ago. And I shrugged my shoulders and I actually didn't know where this one was going to go. Because John Gruden signed a ten year 100 million dollar deal with the Oakland Raiders. And now so he technically resigned whatever he says, I have resigned as the head coach of the Las Vegas Raiders. I love the Raiders and do not want to be distraction. Thank you to all the players coaches and staff and fan fans of raider nation. I'm sorry I never meant to hurt anyone, John Gruden. And so it was revealed in some of these emails. And based from what I've said, seen should have said something's probably not no, was he joking around in private in a context that none of us can understand? Yes. He incited Joe Biden, insulted Joe Biden I can't even say what he called Joe Biden on air. It's kind of hilarious. Called Roger Goodell, a certain name. I'm no fan of Roger Goodell. So if this whole thing is like a Roger Goodell, apology tour, but here's what really matters. Here's the question. In the National Football League, do they ever allow people to do bad things and continue to participate? Like murder. How about rate Ray Lewis and his legacy of the unsolved double murder? Or how about you remember this one? You remember ray rice, who literally punched his fiance in an elevator? It was an elevator, right? Which gained total notoriety following the indictment he was released by the ravens and suspended, and now rice would be reinstated after he successfully appealed the league's decision. And this whole thing with John Gruden is this question of should you be judged by things you have said in private ten years ago to destroy your current
The Daily Wire's Matt Walsh Discusses the Firing of Football Coach Jon Gruden
"Matt Walsh from the daily wire Welcome back to the show Thanks for taking the time with us today We appreciate it Hey Dan thanks for having me Yeah you got it So Matt this situation with Jon Gruden the Las Vegas Raiders coach You know is this the new standard You're one of the best commentators out there on the ongoing culture war against us which we didn't ask for by the way I mean is this the new standard you send an email ten years ago with some crappy language in it I mean really if all of us had our emails from the last ten years disclosed publicly I mean we'd all be fired and part two of the question if I may You know they have a M and M Matt performing at the halftime of the Super Bowl show What do you think his emails Yeah Eminem we don't have to look at his emails and we just look at the lyrics that a song these performed for the public and millions of dollars and same for Dr. Dre snoop dog they're all performing And they're going to perform some of those very songs where they use the language that John Gruden just got fired for using And that's why I agree with you I mean look any of the people who are pretending to be offended by John Green's email I would encourage any of them I challenge any of them to just publish their Gmail password and let us comb through it We'll keep it in your loan go back farther than that I promise But let us look through ten years of messages and give us your text messages to have you never in ten years said one message send one message with a content Of course that's not the case And that's why we have to understand what's happening here with Jon Gruden This is prosecuting by mob tribunal a thought crime This is the problem is the thought that he express it's almost no different Like if the canceled mom I've had the ability the technology to actually literally read your mind They would eagerly do it and they would cancel you for things you haven't even said out loud There's only one step removed from that and canceling someone for a private email sent from their private email account to a friend who was not offended by it I mean it's the definition of a victimless

Archaeologist Steven Collins on the Event That Took Civilization Offline for 7 Centuries
"Was talking to my wife about this yesterday. dot coms. I said you know it's a funny thing because you're just the archaeologist. You find this stuff and then you have to turn over your findings to every kind of scientists many hostile to the fundamental idea. Evidently they seem to think what you and. I seem to think which is maybe the biggest headline of all. Yeah early in the dig when we started discovering all this kind of anomalous melted material stuff that looks like it had been exposed to rather high heat index. What do i do with that. I'm an archaeologist. I know how to dig dirt. I know how to recognize strata. I'm an expert on ancient pottery. All of that stuff. That goes with archaeology. But i'm not a physicist. I'm not an astrophysicist. I'm not kim. Mr a geologist so all that stuff had to be turned over to scientists who know what they're doing with that sort of thing and it actually wind wound up in the hands of a team of scientists. Call the the comment. Research group r. g. who has their well published in all kinds of scientific journals including the proceedings of the national academy of sciences. And now of course. Nature scientific reports on this particular paper that they wrote but they've been involved six or seven years in this analytical phase of the destruction layer for the middle bronze age at tall hamam which associates with the time of abraham and this particular layer had all kinds of indicators that they call them proxies of what's called media riddick or cosmic bowling airburst event that exploded over. Just the the side of a mom but exploded over the entire plane of the jordan were the cities of the plain. The cities of the car in genesis are located and it absolutely took civilization off line in that area for about seven centuries

Woke Crowd Cries Racism After 'Slave Play' Tony Awards Snub
"For a theater geek like me like me. Last night was the like the super bowl because it was the tony awards. I've got a friend in moulin rouge actually a few friends in moulin rouge and moulin rouge the musical. The huge winner. I was really really excited for danny burstein. Zeya a new york actor. He had just a horrific year. he's one of the stars of moulin rouge on broadway. And he's been a broadway actor for and he and his wife. Rebecca luker a real beloved couple rebecca. His wife got ls and both of them got cove head and she died last december. This past december. So he's back on stage with moulin rouge. He won his first. Tony award very gracious speech. And there's a huge controversy about the play side not the musical side you got you got musicals and you got you got plays right and the play that was expected to clean up at. The tonys was a play called slave plane. I know people who saw it and said it was a incoherent mess. It's just. I don't even know what it's about something about. It's all woke stuff about race. It's race and sexuality and you know a lot of people. I know roy just didn't like it at all but you know the woke crowd of new york being the wo- crowd it was nominated for. I think i think twelve tony awards. It was completely shut out. It didn't win a single tony so now of course come the accusations that the tony select selection committee is racist. Because everything's got to be racist. Everything is a lack of diversity. Everything about And of course. New york's broadway community is about the most diverse community in the world. But it's not enough for the woke crowd

Because apparently i just found this out this morning twenty. Three of the songs landed on the billboard. Hot one hundred. So i thought i thought i read that incorrectly. So i'd like did a double take and i was like. Oh maybe they mean twenty three hundred and his whole career. I mean twenty three hundred twenty three on the top one hundred in his whole career. I was like oh. That makes sense. And i was like wait. I look back down. I read it again. I said don to twenty three songs. I say what the hell hummy songs on this album. Larry Kudlow Calls out Biden for Saying Businesses Don't Pay Their 'Fair' Share
"How does all of this effect we talk about the middle class? How does this all affect The middle class, which Biden is trying to do is going to improve their wages. Is it going to improve their their savings? It isn't going to improve their job stability and so forth. It's going to do great damage. And I just wanted to spend a moment. On this issue of profits, corporate profits. Which Biden wants to task. More heavily and reverse the trump tax cut. So look. You want a good paying job? You need a good business. You need a stable business. If you're taxing their profits away. What does that mean? That means they don't have enough money. To keep the business growing. They don't have enough money to keep paying good, higher wages. They don't have enough money to prime the equipment. To increase productivity. You cannot operate mark without profits. Profits are the mother's milk of stocks. And like I say, there's 100 and 25 Million Americans in the stock market. It's not 10 billionaires. Okay, It's a half of the working population or in the stock market. But the bigger point is wages. Wages. You raise the corporate tax. Lower profits. That means you have to lower wages. That's what the business has to do to stay alive or until the business goes extinct. Now here's the big live. The big lie that died made again today and it's part of the old left ribs. Is that companies either don't pay any taxes. For companies pay too little in taxes. They don't pay their quote their share. Well, they do. I beg your pardon. We have had a profit boom post pandemic. Tax revenues are rolling in Mark. The government is bowling and cash right now. Okay, so who's going to suffer? 100. Listen to this. $100 billion. And profits. For the S and P. 500 companies, the biggest company 100 billion will be long. As a result of Biden's tax hikes, and
Climate Change Presents Challenges for Watershed Managers
"I'm standing here with tiffany shuffler. She's the project and land manager for the mini ha ha creek watershed district. Hi tiffany paul. Thanks for having me. So tell us where we're standing today. We are standing at what we call the divide of our upper watershed in lower watershed. So were standing at the on. Top of the grays bay dam which is where lake minnetonka ends to the east and then we are at the headwaters of miniature creek so given climate change in minnesota and in your watershed which basically includes a lot of the western and southwestern twin cities what new challenges does climate change present for watershed management. Here you know as water managers were tasked with trying to Reduce flooding and reduce pollution. And that's what you're tasked with what you're giving is how much rainfall from the sky. And also you're given a landscape that developed over a century ago so a lot of these homes were developed during the dust bowl when it was the dryness of times. And now we're coming out of the wettest of times so now there's this conflict with you know homes infrastructure of Whether it's surface water groundwater flooding happening and people you know being like. I understand climate change but my basements flooding or my front yard flooding. Who's going to do something about it. What kind of extreme lake and creek flow levels have you observed in the past decade or two on the lake and the creek. You know two thousand thirteen two thousand nineteen where the wettest seven years on record so wet in fact that we had an extra year's worth of rain squeezed in there but then there's also been these drastic swings to dry and we've had them very close together so for example twenty twelve was really dry year. Last time we in in real drought and then twenty fourteen. Just two years later. We had record flooding.
The 1619 Project Lies About the Founding Fathers and Slavery
"The book is debunking the sixteen nineteen project and boy does it need debunking. It is preposterous. It's being pushed out there Mary you were You you are a resident fellow at the alexander. Hamilton institute for the study of western civilization. I learned i think only last night watching rick. Burns's nineteen ninety nine nine hundred ninety nine documentary about new york that alexander hamilton one of our founding fathers. He was very active in ending slavery. In his this is over two hundred years ago so again the sixteen nineteen project access though. That never happened exactly and another thing. Is i spend a considerable bowl amount of time on. Thomas jefferson one of the big lies of the sixteen. Nineteen project is that he never intended to abolish slavery. Now thomas jefferson owned hundreds of slaves. He was born into a slave owning family but even for him. That is completely false. He spent his life trying to figure out a way to end slavery peacefully how to how to avoid a civil war he saw that coming and so is completely false to even charge. Thomas jefferson with wanting to continue slavery. That is completely false. It may not be in the way that nicole. Hannah jones in the other riders. What have it which was to start a communist revolution. But he was someone who did want to abolish slavery peacefully.
Why the Browns Should Feel Good After Losing to Chiefs
"Joe thanks for joining us. If you're a browns fan. How do you feel today. I think you feel great. And they should feel great because going into the season everybody wanted to tell them but how great they were and you always worry about your toll in that first game. I know they didn't win but they beat kansas city in that game. If you watch it from start to finish and it's just a matter for them now just learning how to finish down the stretch. This is a team that turned the entire organization and franchise around when kevin's too fancy. Got there the mentality has completely changed. The culture has changed now. Just learning how to win down the stretch but having the chiefs who two years ago they won the super bowl last year there in the super bowl a lot of people thought that they probably could have won that super bowl and going into their place in week one and really playing him. I don't think that that is anybody's something that anybody should be ashamed of if you're a browns fan

"bowling" Discussed on The BOB & TOM Show Free Podcast
"Hey, is that a sad? The girls turn off the show. Hang on. That's right. It's time for Michigan. Everyone's the Michigan. The old mitten. It's not the problem. Michigan man. Now keep in mind this section of bob and Tom show. It's called sports. Okay, all right, so really give me a lot of room. A Michigan man made an unusual discovery under his house. About 160 bowling balls. Well, that is unusual. Sports to me. Sports. David Olson said he found one ball buried in the sand. Oh my God. Next to an alley. Thank you very much. This story and I could use the bowling ball sailed effect. I went bowling on vacation. Wait a minute, hold it, I want to know everything. I went bowling on Friday. Let's go with my kids surprised me with the neighbor, misses picardy. For my birthday, it was quite nice. Oh, was it your birthday? Yeah, Friday. Thanks for remembering a cake. Thanks. Oh, no, I had a cake. Two cakes. At the elegant. Yes, I did have a cake at the alley. Did you get the only birthday cake in the Carver story? Did you get the old 7 or 24 hours? 7 ten splits? Split on your birthday? No, I did not. No. No. You split any banana split? No. But I did have banana cake. It was nice. You have sex with a man? What's your man? Sorry, I didn't get this one. Did he have sex on you? You know, he can get the alley. That's what I call that. Kick in the alley? Yeah, yeah. Take in the alley. Yeah. All right. We are on the way to move over. The 33 year old contacted the mayor of the balls. Why would he contact the maker of the bulls? I found some I don't know of any other bowling ball maker in the world other than Brunswick. They're the workhorse of the industry. It runs with your bus power. They had a plant in the area and said they were made in the 50s. How strange? He said, former employees contacted him and told him the workers used to take scrap bowling balls. To use as an alternative gravel or sand. How about that? You've got these bowling balls for whatever reason didn't make the cut. They got to do something with them. So another square one, if you need, if you need backfill, why not? I think a square one would be easy to spot. But if you had like a slightly off long, bowling salt. Egg shaped. I'm a 300 bowler. I'm a so I got this ball. I can't, I can't break a hundred. There's a house down here they have decorative bowling balls. Have you seen that? Jane has a buddy that has him. Maybe it's his house. I don't know. It's Brunswick shut down the plant in Muskegon in 2006, Olsen said many of the balls aren't good. They've been very funny. 50 years. They don't have finger holes and aren't polished. He's donated some and plans to give some to the Muskegon heritage museum which they replied. Thanks. What do we look like a dump? Say stupid bowling ball. Is that what it says here? Stupid temple. This is according to WZ MTV with where television is a vision of what television can be on season. And that is. Michigan story. A fascinating little discussion about bowling balls? This is kind of cool. 160. If you went to your house at a crawl space, you went under there. What the hell is this? If you were doing some gardening, you hit a bowling ball and you kept getting more and more and more. But I wouldn't piss. I wouldn't keep digging up the yard until I found a 160. Why did he stop? There's probably more. Who knows? Wouldn't you initially think cannonball if you were digging and you found an old. Sure. No, oh my gosh. And you saw the word Brunswick, wow. Stepped up for the war effort. YouTube raise a good point. Wouldn't you find the first one on immediately call the police? Why don't the bomber? Why don't they use old bowling balls for cannibals? Could they? Well, they're not going to explode. Well, what if they could drill a hole in them and put the cannonballs explode? I don't think all cannibals don't always. But cannons I learned from cartoons. So Kathy drill a hole in it, 6 9, I'm a piece of it, I guess. Shoot it across. I just think it's fascinating with these at his back film. Yeah. I wonder if there are pins down there. I want to be good with this. I'd like to add along with the listeners I can hear them. We haven't talked about this enough. Actually, I knew I lived in a house. Really? It had that. As part of the foundation, it was that, and. Also, a bunch of safety pins. I mean, we were on pins and needles. Living there the whole time. And so the foundation was the foundation was on bowling pits. Okay, now we've got a new game. How long can we talk about bowling balls buried underneath that? But I mean, this house is built on bowling, but we're still, yeah. Yes. We built this city on rock and roll. That's right. I know a guy who works for a bowling ball company, but yeah. They're trying to get paid more so right now they're on strike. Well, that's not what it deserves. What is this? The balls are lighter and change shoes. What is it? I don't know, but you got it, whatever it is. The greatest thing about bowling now is I've taken out the math. You don't have to do it. It just does it for you. Remember when you had to sit there and I used to love and you depends and you could draw it off. You know, but then you were like, do I take if you have a strike then the next you take the tune? And the Flintstones doesn't the pins that are in octopus? Love that. It's honest work. I think it's good sounded just like the octopus. Did you see the picture of this guy's house? No , I didn't. He's got a Weber grill. However, however, his government Pete Weber, amazing bowler, okay. That's a good dick Weber. Dick Weber? I'm sorry. Who else? Yes, we're still talking about bowling balls. Did the famous bowl? Continue? Well, we have a lot of spare time so we could keep talking. He already did that. So in any event, there you go. So the bowling balls in the basement. What a weird house. He didn't ask you to take off your shoes. He asked you to rent something. I'll be here all night. I think I got 20 new minutes. Des Moines, I'm coming for him. Oh, is that this weekend? Next weekend. Okay. Good morning funny bone. Trying to be careful when you don't get underneath the eaves. Those gutter balls. Those can really. You.

The recognition however was not always the most desirable variety. Tom bowling was known as a horse. We had a temper and he was therefore known for creating disturbances when he stepped onto the racetrack. Often there would be a groom on each side of the voice of tempting to keep him under control just long enough to get into the starting line. He would launch out and right he would plant himself against the inside rail and refused to budge on one occasion he even had to be walked backwards over the course of two hundred yards just to get him into line for the start of the race. How then did tom bowling earned induction into racing's hall of fame in a ceremony staged yesterday in saratoga springs new york. The answer is simple. In addition to having an temperament tom bowling was a talented racehorse. he had speed. He had stamina and his victories. Were so impressive. That at least one newspaper at the time declared him to be the greatest ever to set foot on the race track in the united states and possibly the world tom bowling was trained. The tom bowling was the best of the crop. Even the victory in the jersey derby the old vomit park racetrack did not satisfy the critics. They said count. Dorsey would have won the race if he hadn't missed the start. And when a philly beat tom bowling and the ocean hotel stakes. The critics pointed to that as further proof that tom bowling was overrated. As it happened. Tom would never lose again. And in the travers stakes at saratoga. He would assert himself as the best three-year-old of eighteen. Seventy three when. Tom bowling stepped onto the track. Saratoga that day. Seventy three and tom bowling entered the race. Fresh off a twenty length. Victory just three days earlier in the robin stakes at monmouth as he entered. The track for the travers. Tom bowling was uncharacteristically white. As for his confirmation he stood sixteen hands with a short neck abroad chest and great length through his overall structure. He was light bay with a blaze extending his left nostril observers noted that he had a long low powerful stripe with remarkably easy and graceful action. Tom bowling won the travers that day drawing clear by twelve lakes after springbok fell while entering the stretch a stewards investigation into the matter lasted thirty minutes following a claim of foul. But the results stood tom. Bowling was the winner. Hell price mcgrath was so happy that he's hold ribbons from his his main and joyfully distributed them to the ladies in the audience and he took the great silver cup which was given to him the winter circle and he went to a nearby pool hall filled with his beverage of choice and asked friends to come and help him empty. Still there were critics. Some said that count. Dorsey had once again. This the break others pointed to. The fact springbok had fallen and did not have a fair chance. Mcgrath responded by offering a thousand dollars for a rematch with both forces on a dark day at saratoga at the traverse distance but he found no takes instead. Tom bowling went on to win. The dixie stakes at a distance of two miles at pimlico in october that year and he continued his winning streak into the summer of eighteen seventy four. He would retire from racing with a record of fourteen. Wins in seventeen. Career starts tom. Bowling's final resting. Cold at bowling alleys owed. And this is apparently bowling. Alleys are hotbeds for anti vaxxers. No idea her boyfriend was introducing the manager of the bowling alley to her because he has friends in high places and my daughter did the whole thing where she likes somewhat reached out her hand goes. I don't know. are we shaking. I don't know what we're doing these days you know and i guess the bowling alley manager looked at her in some way and so my daughter carly she goes okay. In addition to faith to to make god happy right and so you can't please guy with your own actions and if you can't fear god like you can't you can't fear god and try to act like you give yourself better like you can't do that like they don't go together. Think you have the power exactly because something in your own mind. Yeah exactly because fearing god is a reverence of him so when you put the power back in your hands than you're putting the crown on your head and if you whatever you start in the flesh you have to maintain in the flesh and it is hard. It gets a lot harder win. You're trying to do it on your own and made me think of Bowling lanes. I suck at bowling. Like i absolutely my sister's way better bowling. She has bowling shoes and her own bowling ball. And i'm pretty sure it's grave like she has. She was a part of a league. Y'all like my sister can bow. And i'm from memphis so you really only did like one or two things growing up you either a bowler or a skater and i was a skater bowler. Okay i said growing what are you talking about. He's making the face to face because all transparency on our first day i feel at a skating rink and i was horrible at skating because i saw your face so anyway. We're we're hot over here humble open and transparent charlotte to pass mike. Todd so yeah. It made me think of the bowling lanes. And i always need bumpers. Go bowling alley have fun. I'm not going to have fun. If my if my balls in the gutter all the time so i will own the fact any bumpers and and yes. So god's grace is like the bumpers so still has the beginning and the end the same point at the beginning of the same point at the end right so someone who is bowling without bumpers as someone who's bowling with bumpers. Same purpose to get the ball to hit the pins right so win me. Who is horrible at bowling walks up there with without.

Who was to at the time and I ended up being a rep for Miller as well so you have to end and out you play golf with all the about to tag along so what what made you want to put together a site with all those videos for King of TV. Bully and just kind of started out as a you know. Have you seen this match type? Deal with us. Will Greer Sherifi. Ron Barr started all out in He gave me a collection of the put out there. Everybody's getting joint just in looking at the site you. It looks like you're continuing to update you when you have videos you put him up there right. Yes we get a man people. Send me stuff. Weekly grappled human trafficking. Betamax eight milimeter. Reel to reel stuff for people for free. It's just a hobby. I put it out there. I'm my driving forces for the kingdom. Come back that was going to be by next question because we talked about that. Three years ago is there. Is there any momentum are you? Are you any closer to convince somebody to bring this baby back and put it on TV? Been knocking on doors even emails making calls. It's just a matter of finding the right people to put the pieces of the puzzle together to get happened. But I'M NOT GONNA stop for keeping away. Maybe something will happen herself. Excellent For those who want to check it out you can go to the Youtube page king of TV bowling or facebook King of TD bowling correct. Yeah that's correct. Tv Bowling on Youtube. Facebook a victory catching up. I'm glad we could tell the story. Keep in touch touching I WanNa see this baby back on TV someday. Because I find the website Fascinat- I was watching. I stumbled into the video of of an exhibition. Type thing set up on Fountain Square with Mayor Lucan Bowling back in hundred eighty five and I was fascinated by it today at lunch. That's correct that was here by Doug. Martin Proprietor Super Bowl. He has contributed a boatload of contacts. Within last I'm still working on a lot of stuff right now. Actually you're speaking about Richard Scar Northern Kentucky. How about you know what Lawson productions and whatnot. They they did that and then the merit tournament lot of the Kentucky content is what I've been working on lately. I love it. I love it. A victory catching a buddy stay safe and let's talk again soon. All right. Break your Thanksgiving there. You go game and King of TV Bowling Richard Skinner and his role in that coming up and then after skinny will open up the phones and take some calls. "I mentioned today is a big day because bowling alleys can open batting cages. Could Open and PUTT PUTT. Golf can open at least begin to open in the state of Ohio with that in mind. I thought well we should probably talk a little bit of bowling tonight. And I've got connections in the community a couple of guys I turn to when it comes to bowling stuff Guest is one of those from Coleraine Bowl. That would be todd. Mcgill how are you? I'm lance our you. I am well. I would think your your emotions. Today are a little mixed one. The excitement that bowling can come back and then the realization. Like WHOA. There's a lot of work to do. There is always a lot of work to do in in this business for sure but You know it was kind of cool seeing pictures. All around towns With the bowling centers getting open and just getting some folks back out and enjoying what they like and you know and and having casual time out on the lane and out there having fun again so it was definitely cool to see and you know it's it's the way it should be so my understanding. Coleraine bowl is going to open but is taking kind of a a slow. Let's get this right approach. Let's get everything in order and did not open today. Correct that's correct we've got We've got several kind of key events coming up. And we're we're focusing on them and doing more controlled events and tournaments and things that I basically a phase sort of a way of looking at it. That's kind of been a theme but we've got a tournament. Our first tournament is going to be June. The seventh at a rain on six thirty. And that's normal Sunday sweeper. That's kind of a pretty hot ticket in Cincinnati around We we usually get about a hundred and eight bowlers every week. That's the Max Field and we live in filling up every week for several weeks before we take shelter down So we're we're looking forward to getting that one back on track and we we may throw in a second one a week Took to get everybody out there a couple of times. A week into the tournaments. Todd give in general terms just giving give us an idea of what has to now what what bowling alleys in. General have to adjust to adapt to or change at this point that the bowling alley capacities what they are where we're allowed to have fifty percent and then make sure we maintain our social distancing you'll find plexiglass up at a lot of them in front of the front task or wherever maybe in front of the bar wherever the folks are going to talk to the employee employees are going to be wearing their face mask until we're told not to and make sure that you know everybody heals comfortable. We want everyone to feel comfortable coming into our bowling centers across the city. Because we wanted to come back. And that's kind of the fear if they they come in and they're not happy or they don't feel comfortable at all they're not going to so a lot of the bowling centers are going every other lane When they come into open place so there's always a spare leaning between you were with the tournament play. They might have something in place where there's one person on the lane one of the bowlers area and one back in the concourse and contemplate ready bowling and either distance that todd you know you know this bowling community you have your finger on the pulse of the community. Do you get a sense. There is A. There's an issue to do it again at the community will eventually come back and rally around the sport in this town absolutely There there's a lot of talk about it every day. There was a lot of talk about it every day when we were down and I mean all over the state all over the Tristate People Messaging People call people splitting close out on social media that they just want to get back out on the lanes and they just want to get out and vote with their buddies and they WanNa bowl tournament and they wanna they WANNA go out there and compete again and it's there and you know that this the day finally came and we can start a little time and It's it's pretty exciting honestly. Todd has A. You're a Connoisseur of this sport around here I'm I'm sure you recall King of TV bowling back in the day. Absolutely I do what? What memories or moments come to mind when I say King of TV bowling well? I competed in it several times in my younger years. Never made the show. I was one one spot out of making the show at one point in time and so I mean I was out there every Saturday and Sunday beaten up with these guys and having a little fun but I had a lot of friends that were in there and made the TV show. And I was one of those guys in there at six thirty in the morning was talking about a little fun with them. It was really cool. It was a very cool program. Yeah good deal for those listening. Who want more information of what's what you have gone on coming up in the near future and Coleraine. Bulwark.

It's like a bunch of logistics brokers. Now there's two sides sides of the company. I don't know too much about. I know Dave is in the side where you make a lot of cold calls just like you know dip in and chugging monster and stuff so like this is the other side. Oh my the the my buddy. That's my in on it. He's in his mid thirties jake. to He's an established kind of sales guy he came up echoing so's really good friends there so he has an open. He doesn't work there anymore but he is opening spot on the team. That's nice and what kind of is it an old alley. Is it like a chain alley. Let me tell you something. Diversity River Bowl. All Reverend Logan Organ. That's a good bowling. I mean that the pins are rattling. That's thirty six lanes. It's an old school Bali not a lot of graphics. There's no cosmic bowling on this place. Pro Shop Onsite. Great Billiards Room. Are you pro cosmic bowl. I'm not against it. I think it certainly has its place I wouldn't and I wouldn't turn down a night of cosmic bowling on principle. What about you it's got a lot of nostalgia think to it you know? Get the fuck and Blue Eiffel Sixty five as a kid Ryan and he just see the lights in the fucking holograms like shadowing off laying twelve. That's a lot of history. And that's I appreciate cosmic I wouldn't do a cosmic bowl all league. No yeah probably not probably too much but if it was if I was on a regular league and maybe one night it was like cosmic night like that. You know so random. That should be the regular. She'll be like ten weeks. And then there should be a random cosmic week and it's like that bonus double the points for the league standings but other than that. Yes yes I think there is such thing as too much cosmic ball this a nine week league okay and then my body on it again jake. He's a phenomenal baller. I think he was like carrying a one ninety average last year. One eighty something like that. So that's pretty good for this league because it's again. It's like the Echo Logistics Company League. It's not give your own ball on your own shoes and shit. I'm using my dad's ball also. My Dad was on Bowling League. I just remember that as a kid on Mondays my day will go go out and get hammered and come home and smell you know. He's yeah you know and so I have his ball from them and the bag. Yeah just to have someone sit there. Everyone hundred team know how to keep score not me. That's for sure but definitely the other two guys for sure would know how to. How long would it take for you to learn satiety score it would take a long time? I'm absolutely just not there when it comes to math. Yeah just out there. It's like you know I don't get the spare thing like so if you do. If you hit a spare the next The next frame it means more right. Yeah the next frame. However many pens you pick up in the next time you add that? That's how much you got for your frame with spare Ti- like that's like so it's basically ten plus eight eighteen then but then that eight than if you pick up the spare than just roll forward eighteen for that frame see. That's you've got your smart guy. I'm telling you I just doesn't click for me so there were some people that were like if you get a chance. Make sure Eddie subs in the leagues or are you. Oh cable or like. I think you'd think your precise Shaw I'm I'm a backhander. I don't know if that's a problem or not. We have a guy who backhands they call them Schwarzer in the league he just walks up and backhands it and I am so your back hammer backhander I I don't it doesn't feel natural coming off the regular way. Do you have your own ball. I know you know but I got to go to the bowling. God I gotta get one time. Do you think he'd fit you if he knew candidate debating that my body's when we went bowling last week how's it. What do you think of? I tell me I'm back. He would just instantly be disappointed. It's the same thing with a back. You know what I mean to be sub for softball like I like it light. You think Barry Bonds would use a twelve pounder. Oh my God. Barry Bonds Produce fucking heavy idiot of costume ball so you think so I think he chokes up. You think so. I thought Barry Bonds used a heavy bat no thirty to thirty inch. Alfonso Soriano Soriano throws the eighteen compound house ball with no-go well he he didn't use heavy bat. Really all I regret to inform you. I'm sorry well I I thank you for letting me know. Good Fun fact but no I. It's never bowling shirt. Ed No I don't but would you put at his the name on. What if you did? I think I think that's appropriate for shirt at her. What did you wear I just wore it was the day was really shitty raining. Okay shares warlike a like a north face t shirts he jeans. I like when it's bad weather and you have to go to a place like home slice because then it takes all the the pressure off of well knowing into basic bitch spot and you walk in there and it's like whatever weather's shitty. I'm wearing a Hoodie deal with it. Yeah you know what honestly crazy facts about that have closed at midnight. What's what's crazy? They should have some relationship with Vaughan's or Or State Bar I think St Ours Kloesel some of the bars around that area research close. I thought did I hear that. Oh that's right north side guy coming back way but it's a nice area. I used to live over there. Yeah no it is nice. South far is that from actual actual deposits on campus. So is it. Yeah Saint Vincent Vincent. Paul is literally half a block. That's like the Church okay in the center of Paul's campus. Okay 'cause I always go back and forth with like we're actually is the Paul because one of those places is that like if there's a building here building they're like how big is the actual campus. I think and he would turn out of business now. He probably wouldn't turn on the business but he'd be mad. What type tall do you pick when? What House Ball you get? How heavy? I don't like them heavy. It's the same thing with a back. You know what I mean to be sub for softball like I like it light. You think Barry Bonds would use a twelve pounder. Oh my God. Barry Bonds Produce fucking heavy idiot of costume ball so you think so I think he chokes up. You think so. I thought Barry Bonds used a heavy bat no thirty to thirty inch..

"Bowling clubs show. Chicken. Thanks. Eighteen. Nope. No. Dale is a real place in you. Tell me about it. Evan do. I'm from Playskool. Evan do. Yeah. Tell you about that just been how tell me about that. This working class neighborhood. It's the most diverse neighborhood in the country of an place co put it all so it's full of Polynesian people people in the people Chinese Nigerian, and it's one of the last places in Oakland to still not be gentrified. In fact, the gentrification even just jumped down went to new like we'll come back here. So surprised that we're still fighting for because I believe it's like as the template for utopia. It's not utopia. But it's some kind of blueprint for because you all I don't know. I'm going gonna get into some we are the world from not careful here. But yes, a beautiful place in an something. I believe in as one of the army things, I believe in to be honest. So I stand out for an voice try to put it on the map and speak about it. Yeah. It's my home the place that I saw she ate with as as you left and came back, right? Yeah. I went to Melbourne just goes in New Zealand is only so much. You can do before, you know, outgrown the first bowl not that. It's a beautiful. I liked the fist boat. But yeah heads jumped so winsome Melvin when looking for something there, and it was a little bit hotter than not expected. I was I was really growing into into the city, and they might go from kgo pregnant. My folk she she didn't just get I- impregnated. And then we came home. Yeah. This story there. Why did you decide to come home? We came home because of one of my son to be from here. I don't wanna sound like a nationalist anything like that. But I just want my son to be raised in the space because I I value. Everything about this. This place. And I just didn't think he'd get up -tunities in the strategy as much as the money was bitter in the stroller and the fishbowl was bigger Steria. There's just something about Newseum about auto. It's just yeah. I I realized very on lift. It's wolves. I Jesse thorn. My guest is Tom Scott. He's the creator of the New Zealand hip, hop group Avondale bowling club. When I think of the place, I grew up there are like particular spots that hold a lot of meaning for me. Yes. Both. I wonder what those spots are for you with oven. Do I know exactly what those spots for me as funny like it's the same spots. He ran to when your mom sent you to your firm in the same spot, you jumped out the window and went to and for me. It's this one end of even their word is creek there. And when when I was a kid, and we climbed the pylons I went there when I was a teenager we smoke. We still go there as Netto when I'm anxious still discuss this yoke Crete. You wouldn't want to swim? But we did as kids, and yes, though that place in a still that same bustle that I went to as a kid. Yeah. I think maybe like we're saying spots a familiar, and they're just rich in and Dada and. Dada of of memories like. They're just rich. So they just seems lit up some something about those places. Yeah. I'm probably under no allusion that some of these things constructs of my mind, unlike under no allusion that when I speak of homeless probably not as a coup place. But maybe it's just that you know, I can sit there and see the sort of old minted reality of the past. You know, I can lay it over this creek. The kids that we were playing in lait over this creek. You know, the teenagers that we were sitting there with a box of his it's really just a template religious the background for memories support lay memories on. So even if eventually there's a a sweatshop Bill on some of that creek can probably still see under so still value those physical places for some reason, you know, but yeah, they they change. But I just don't think. I mean, it just such a great way to generate memories. When you go to those places just spock's memories. So I very those places, and yeah, I'm aware they change. But also, I think gentrification kind of teaches you what's important. There's a sane moldy saying that goes Hitan Hitan little he Tom, and it just means the people the people the people. Yeah. The motive Saint Thomas Finn that means the people of the land. And so when I'm glamorizing number MENA. Sizing this land this, you know, this place is really not about the land about the people. And I think that's what of of through the gentrification of unable to. If they push us out. I'll just follow the people. You're not a follow Matic feeble to wherever they push us. And I to be too concerned that they want that piece of land because it's just a piece of land. Yeah. Let's hear Avondale bowling club and home. Range. That I've been way. Fish. Boniver straight to the gate. Jingle women's silica. Stan. Donate a border. I heard about your.
