"And download on itunes doubt cloud and Google play. Welcome back to the GMC baseball podcast. Great to have you all here still with me today Jack Right now again, and we just wrapped up discussing the last few games in the annals es as things have really been interesting in that match up with a couple of big run outings by the dodgers and the braves but I wanna now stick with that same theme of the playoffs. But mentioned some of the most shocking and surprising things in these playoffs that I have made known of in some things that have really stuck out to me that I did not expect at all. So the first thing that I was really shocked by and I'm still very puzzled by is the astros going. To the ANC s now the Astros in the AFC US is probably one of the most shocking things in the playoffs with how poor of a season they had and the fact that they came into the playoffs with a poor twenty, nine and thirty one record from the regular season they were one of two teams that came into the playoffs with a losing record, and they're the only one that is still surviving today finishing in the bottom half of team hitting in the regular season, the Astros have been in new form in the playoffs being one of the top three hitting teams in the playoffs all postseason long they done a nice job at the plate between George Springer Carlos Correa. Balls have been absolutely flying out of the park but similar with Jose Altuve and Michael Brantley is currently on a ten game hitting streak I mean the they've been incredible and Altoona who was who has absolutely shot his batting average from to nineteen in the regular season all the way up to three forty one of the postseason, and he also set the at the Astros record for the most home runs in postseason history for Houston in the entire franchise history. So again, another incredible monumental feat for Jose altuve the pitching out of the ball has been big and with Fram revolt. As really stepping up as their, you know kind of dominant to three option for the astros with cranky and mccullers. So I guess you'd probably put mccullers at to, but volumes has been great starting for them as that further down the rotation pitcher and he's arguably made a case for being a really top to kind of a rotation guy in the postseason I mean in some in some regards, he might he you could make an argument. He has pitched a little bit better than mccullers I know that mccullers has come in and has you know hats very dominant starting outings he had an. Eleven K starting start couple of games ago. So he's definitely really has been a really big piece in this. You Know Astros team in this in this bullpen and the starting rotation but frame revolt has been unbelievable the entire way it's been the most consistent pitcher I would say pretty much I think in the remaining teams in the playoffs right now I mean he's been the most consistent out of those four teams no question as they approach the postseason they did start playing moderately better but I still didn't have the hope that you know they'd make the playoffs and they were. Able to sneak in mainly because of a poor, really poor division which was led by a but with the as having an early exit in the playoffs, it seems the Astros of the Kings of the Al. Western the Astros actually beat the as in the playoffs. So again, really kind of reiterating that point that they might be the best of the Al West they make it all the way to the round right before the world series and to me that is a huge shock because I didn't think that they would make it out of the first round let alone even into the playoffs. They were able to edge out the twins in the wildcard, beat the as and then make it to the. It's their four straight. So, this year definitely seems to be a redemption year for Houston, because of all the off season things with the cheating scandal from last year, they had to go into this year knowing not only that you know they couldn't do that but that they were going to have to really prove themselves you know and really prove everyone wrong that they can still win even without cheating. So that has been one of the biggest shocks me in all of baseball right now is the ashes and they're still again I. I'm recording this on October seventeenth. So when this comes out on Tuesday, who knows that that's going to be. A truthful statement if the Astros are still alive but as of right now and really just looking back at this playoffs, the astor's making it to the CS let alone forcing a game seven is incredibly shocking. So the next one again, another team that I did not expect to make it this far, and I don't think many people did either the braves continuing to roll on and honestly if you were to tell me six months ago or so that the braves would this deep in the playoffs I would probably say that she were crazy mainly offer the fact that they seem to go off during the during the season during the regular season is when they really go off and they. Play very well, and then fizzle out once the playoffs all around. But they won their first playoff series since two thousand one this year. So once that happened, you know things seem to like at. Anything really possible this year, and again, that's kind of the theme with twenty twenty anything seems to be possible and what has been the glaring difference from for them. This postseason as opposed to the regular season they're pitching which has floated around the top three amongst the teams in the playoffs this year and with freed impressing as always helping the braves moved to actually thirteen and one when he starts this year after after their last win with him. As a starter, it's really been also Ian Anderson that has made the biggest difference I think, and that's just the pitching I haven't even gotten into the hitting yet because they're hitting has been unbelievable and I think that's been the massive separating factor for them, and although they're pitching was not great in the regular season in a has but you know boosted a little bit and it's bolster them a little bit as a team I still think the separating. The separating factor in kind of a common denominator in all of this is they're hitting an Anderson. He's yet to give up a run in the playoffs. He's got twenty two ks over the playoffs as well, and he's been efficient to compiling eight plus KS and two of his last three starts, and he didn't go further than six innings in the in those games. So really moving through the innings at a great pace, I mean one of the Games, he had nine nine strikeouts in five and two thirds and eight ks and six inning something like that. And those are his first two starts in the playoffs. So I mean he's really kind of set the tone for I. Think everybody else that rotation Max freed Anderson they're kind of setting the bar very high for everyone else on that rotation and in that staff the hidden ago. Wow has it been on a tear I? Mean especially with Osuna and how well he's been hitting coming up a Thursday game three matchup where he went four for five from the plate, a belted two homers I mean the guy has serious power I actually excuse me that's game for. My Bad game matchup between the braves and the dodgers he went four for five from the plate built two homers..

"Let's just say Jim they're eight, eight, seven and nine the finishing last place in the West. Shanahan's always spoke highly cousins. There is that possibility. But for me, let's in the jets go to and fourteen, they got the first pick right sex You can't pass up Trevor Lawrence as much as I love darnold and if they did it'd be a PR frigging nightmare. So darnold goes. West Coast. Great arm. Better feet than Jimmy. Thanks, he can fix him. Got Guts. If I was if if neither one worked out and I had the first pick in New York of course, I'm taking Lawrence if didn't work out. I'm going to tell you. That I would not be surprised if they started making inquiries, I like that word about Sam Darnold. In the Jimmy Garoppolo situation. I'm just telling you the one problem with that though there. Well Yeah. That I mean data can see happening in the off season, but there's talk that Darnell may be out that the deadlock Oh yeah. No. No. Now if so then that kills does begin with Minnesota and here's the only problem is now flacco veteran can handle it is it if you're going to trade would you don't usually do with quarterbacks your starting quarterback or that stat position usually trade them during the season a starter because if he's going to go somewhere to learn the system before you know unless it was a bad team says. That anyway. He can just learn on the run with no training. Camp Right Sam's a smart guy. So yes, there's the talk. Now what if all the sudden forty-nine is get their ass kicked this week by the rams and they're two and four with all these injuries. And you say, you know what if we don't play? Well, what do they get? They still have a first round draft pick next year if I'm not mistaken right the niners. Yes. Exactly so let's say that they they get to the point say listen mullins and I've just wanted out there. Let's say Jimmy doesn't play this weaker is banged up in the next week. You got the next three weeks they got first of their next seven games. It's brutal. Brutal for the forty niners. So let's say Jimmy doesn't play well or done play this week. Then the next week they play New England and then the next week they play Seattle. And let's just say heading into week eight, there two and five. Two and six. Or before the deadline, you know what I'm saying the next couple weeks when yeah. Then rat. England and new Seattle the next three weeks and I remember when the trade deadline is I think it's before we gave. Okay. So sometime between now and then. If you're and you're saying, well, we got all this money. We can let him go. We can build on Sam mullins and CJ Bethel to hold it down because we're not very good in. We got a young quarterback we can bill with, do you like Him Kyle? Legitimate. If if you're GONNA do it if you if you were the jets, wouldn't you call the forty niners? Garoppolo still going to be a good player. I, listen I call I would at least call. So we'll get back. We'll continue to discuss this I wanNA talk and we gotta get the few more things on stakeout as we roll towards eight o'clock. But yeah, I. Know that took a while but the point is used we're trying to trying to piece thanks together. Maybe just maybe we have starting quarterbacks before the deadline move. Seems like those are off season trades right. But if you're GONNA, move darnold WANNA get started..

"And then my third would be Dabo. Swinney if I could get him as long as you'd bring Tony Elliott with them. that would be my three candidates I do guy and I. GotTa Before I. Let you go this Bill Adam gay situation. It seems like gays can't handle anybody challenge in it. Who's more at fault loud talking because you want more production, you want to be more involved in deployment meaning lady on Belle are Adam gase just in over his head now. I I don't understand I mean look at has his own issues. Team is not good. You don't have a lot of talent, but the team is not good. So you know let's put him. I can clearly not say he's doing a good enough job because his team has not won any games. Let's put that aside. That was not a productive running back. So. I. Mean He's one honestly like statistically is one of the worst running back from the NFL and he's making was making more than ten million dollars so like. He could talk about production. He can talk about one in the ball. Like at some point, you have to make somebody miss right like at some point you have to run through a tackle engaged yards like I don't. I think it turned into more like a personal squabble should have been. This is really about the team getting saddled with a ridiculous contract for a running back. Wasn't good. And then having to deal with him on the roster and being unhappy that's why they got rid of them. It's not because of personal squabble it's because there's making a lot of money and he was very that. There's why folks that people that asked why lady on Bell's not come to Houston an great stuff. Appreciate you taking the time early in the morning brother, we'll do it again next week and always appreciate great insight. Goods took. Youtube and NFL network. "And right now well, right now, guess what you're a contender for the first pick. Thank Miami, get it. WOULD THEY DRAFT FLORENCE? Sakes you. Now they can't can they I talked to a guy. Actually could now listen I, talked to a guy last night about the about this game coming up with dolphins and a forty niners. and. Mondo Garo me as a great guy and works for the Miami Herald. And he said. That Brian Floors has said that he's not. Ready to play. And that fits gives them the best chance to win fine and Dandy. But Armada said during the whole training camp he never saw two I'm just telling you what he said. He. Never saw to a throw or two that made you say. I. Asked him physically or mentally keeping him off the field right now is a one three team in win. Will it happen? He said that he never saw a wow moment in training camp. Yet fits this said that to mixed throws and physically did he keep can't make that he was farther did too far better. And he actually said that he goes Shaun, I'm telling he goes I'm a little concerned. About going forward, what is it? You know what's holding him back and I said five years from now what's IT GONNA be like? He said, maybe a decent player twenty said. And he said that if they had a top cup top two or three pick. At paraphrase that a top pick excuse me. It wouldn't be shocked. He wouldn't be shocked if they went back to back with the quarterback I'm me if they had the first pick in the draft I, don't think that they'd be crazy to take lawrence because I still think they could trait. was his point was that if to a dozen play did does it lose value for him? No he you'd get a first-round pick from. Yeah. You would. It may not be five or maybe twenty-five, but you still could writing for, but it may it may. You know it's not like he reminded was saying something he's not hot. Take Guy. been so I found it interesting. So we kid about that about the Texans about Miami getting another pick of the Texans where to get the first pick or a top three pick it goes to the dolphins right And you're sitting there thinking well, man alive..

"I'M GONNA go ahead saying debatable he's an elite days or behind thanks he was once a leap it was he's no longer elite. So you think jolting Joe FLACCO. Kind who's WHO's better in big games? Always always on the better in big games jolt and. It's or folded. It's it's beady an. WHO's Bedia? Figel's Oh be oh yeah. Never mind now I know yeah, I know that Akron. I'm Nick Yeah. So you're telling me right now fully over over flacco one hundred percent. Debatable for you see because you think that one point flacco. He was elite. Dare tell me he wasn't. And you need to put some respect on flacco, name Sakes and. You've refused to. Yeah. I call them flat you flato. That's. That's what I have respect I have for that guy who love falls -I. You. Hate. It falls in Philly when he waltzed into Chicago and a playoff game kick. Your ass. Double doing stupid cody Parkey Jake Walston and kicked your ass. Vessel Soles at C. You guys decided. Well, let's Brehm in your ass he did. Stan was sixteen fifteen. waltzed in kick. Your ass to go sign. That's what happened. Don't bring that up and by the way when you get your ass kicked in that playoff game, you guys were eliminated from the playoffs figured that. Happens when you? Yes, Sigulu. Yeah. Playoffs had NFL are actually single elimination. Okay. They don't play Cyrano. Sitting cool if they did here's the question. Is it three days in a row? See if they could have the bears get sent home because they did not score as many points as the other team. Well according to Bill Brian you half or left half to score more you have to score more points than the other team to win it. We have only got about a collage together for me. Maybe that was the real moment we should have known that they guy was done. The other team that was his downfall who weeks ago yeah. That was the post game press conference two weeks. But then we found out this week sixty that would we find out this week about the we don't have that but we also two weeks ago was. Hit that again. Scored the other team yet. Yet you do have Score more points than the other team, and then this week we found out after the game after they lost in Minnesota that one. The has great guys on the team. Great. Obviously. Great. Guys on the tape secondly that they hung in there quite obviously. I three thanks lied no score. Winston. The other team would not where we want it to be right working hard to get it better working hard to get better quite obviously quite obviously they get along. Obviously, they didn't score. A bunch of great guys on the team. Obviously Okay and did you also bill that you guys hung in there in a loss? Not where we wanted to be quite obviously. Quite obviously don't. Get along to go ahead and Working hard to get better. Hey. They were working. Josh. Without you hit that I i WanNa know the truth do you be totally honest? Okay. Totally. Ju totally on what is one trait the Texans have That Bill O'Brien what is one trait to have the players? So. It's not where we wanted to be clemson. Spagyrics, Ancient Medicine for the Modern World

"Hey, there everybody a popham here founder of the School of Evolutionary herbalism and welcome to our new issue here on the blog and You know there's something that I've been thinking a lot about lately I've just been kind of looking at the state of the world and at everything that's been going on you know within the whole political thing and all the stuff going on culturally and just with all of especially with all the fires that we've been having out here on the west coast it just feels like things are really heating up literally on planet. Earth right now and I've just been thinking about. US As human beings and our relationship to nature our relationship to the earth and the healing that is required of all of us right now as human beings and how the practice of herbal alchemy or. Six has this what I see as great power and potency to bring healing to the people at this time in a way that I see is really required and one of the things that I've been looking at and kind of thinking a lot about. This dynamic of separation, and that's a critical component of the specific process is the process of separating out the principles of a plant in the ways in which they're prepared ALC- chemically and looking at our culture and thinking about human beings and where we're at in the world right now and seeing that there's this course separation. In our culture that I think is really at the root of a lot of the problems that we're facing on the earth right now and I think that core separation is this illusion that I would say a majority of human beings on the planet are carrying that thinks that we're separate from nature it. I always like to talk about the difference between you know the world and the earth, and it's like the world is everything that the human beings have created from our minds if I just I live out here in the country. So I'm kind of surrounded by nature and trees and plants the earth that every time I go to a city it's like, wow, you know it's kind of overwhelming in a way being surrounded by all of these manmade objects that are human made. It's that ultimately are arising out of the human mind. It's like the world is the human mind made manifest whereas the earth is something greater something greater than US created the earth you know thinking of the way the elements are in the way nature is and how you know obviously, we didn't create that we're in we're a part of that but we've created this world that has separated us from nature into me. This is one of the core. I would say this is the core fundamental. Issue that we're facing on this planet right now and this separation this delusion that we carry that were separate from nature. I think is behind a lot of the major issues that we're facing and because of that course separation that it secretes the these deeper layers of separation within ourselves where. Our mind is separated from the heart. Our intuitive faculties are separate from our rational mind you know in our culture, you know or science is separate from our spirituality, and in that way, we create this world that is separate from the earth and to me the goal. Of the healing that we need to do at this time is individually within ourselves to heal those splits inside of us you know to heal those splits between our heart and our mind our body and our spirit. So that, we can become integrated unto ourselves and when that happens on a large scale, I believe that we have this ability to create a world that is a reflection of the earth that we can create a way of living a holistic way of living on this earth that is integrated into the natural ecosystem. That is guy right. That is this planetary intelligence that we live on and in order for that to happen though I believe that there's Deep levels of healing have to happen within human beings. Right and to me that healing is far beyond our bodies right that we need a healing in our minds and in our hearts and even down to this soul level healing. We're able to heal ourselves in a way that reintegrates ourselves in our consciousness and the way we live our lives into that intelligence of nature to remember that we're a part of nature and that everything that we do is impacting the earth

Trump says will 'strongly consider' testifying in impeachment probe - but would it ever happen?

"Back to the daily DC. The Impeachment Watch I am Zach Wolf. Alex Marquardt is still with me. And we're pleased to welcome CNN. Legal analyst Michael Zeldin. Thanks for joining us. Michael my my pleasure to things kind of interesting happened this morning number one Responding to Nancy Pelosi from over the weekend Donald Trump president trump suggests that he could be Willing to testify or at least to give written testimony to the impeachment inquiry. He said essentially to move it along so the Democrats could get something done for the country. That's thing thing one thing too. Is the house. Democrats made clear that they're investigating now. Donald Donald Trump and whether he Lied to Congress essentially As part of the Mueller investigation when he offered written testimony or answered questions wins in writing for Robert. Muller in this part of They're a lawsuit to get hold of grand jury Documents and testimony any from the Muller investigation this now ties into the impeachment investigation. It's all meshing together but these two things about Donald Trump and testifying before Congress which would be pretty much unprecedented I think And number two This idea that he may have said something that was incorrect about wikileaks. Not Leaks and what he knew to Robert Muller what is going on with those two things in your mind so the first thing that comes to mind is my expectation of his qualified offer. Potentially offer written testimony was not something that he cleared with his lawyers and that his lawyers are going to be saying. Excuse me but we don't want to do that. Thank you Mr President. Well he didn't say he was GONNA do it. He said he he's thinking about exactly but I expect he's thinking about it without having first consulted Laura's because I don't think his lawyers lawyers would want him to be offering written testimony so I think that's more of a sort of a hypothetical offer than it is a real offer second second with respect to muller the the question and answer that has been raised as a possibility that the president offered false testimony before before Muller in his written statements relate to whether or not he recalled conversations between himself and members of his campaign who themselves may have. I've been interfacing with Ricky wikileaks or whether he had any direct contact with a representative of what of wikileaks. And the thing. I forgot to mention this. Roger Stone found guilty on Friday essentially of trying to sabotage congressional investigation With regard to to wikileaks right so so the lawyer in me says says if the question is asked did you have any contact with a representative of wikileaks. He can answer no to that. Because none of the people who allege allegedly told him anything about wikileaks I would definitely meet the term representative of wikileaks. If he had spoken he would have spoken to. Julian assange essentially For that question to be ally The way he answered now with requests with respect to the question of whether or not his failure to recall whether he had conversations with anyone on his campaign. Am Pain regulated. He he didn't say no he said I don't recall talking to anybody. Don't recall is what his answer was. And that's a smart legal answer and expectation Asian. Is that the documentation that was presented by the White House to Muller contains no indication that the president spoke to anybody on his campaign about wikileaks leaks and so he has the opportunity to come back and say well. Now you've refresh my recollection. Yes indeed I remember speaking to Roger Stone in the car and it was overheard by whomever so I think it's a very difficult prosecution to make. However the appearance that the president is unaware of his interest his own interest which he on on the campaign trail repeatedly touted wikileaks? I love wikileaks. We Russia if you're hearing me. Please release her emails. All is wikileaks. centric in a sense. It's SORTA strains credulity to that. He didn't remember this stuff. But as I said when you ask a lawyer whether or not. This is actionable as a law case case I think it's probably not what about this Offer so to speak that he would be willing to testify in Congress in the impeachment inquiry which actually got a laugh last week During one of the hearings when when Peter Welsh Congressman Walter Democrat brought it up and say you'd be most welcome to sit down is is that another one of these. Is the president just floating something for the sake of it. That almost certainly won't happen. What my recollection of that QNA was the Republicans skins. Were saying the person who has firsthand knowledge the whistle blower a person who they first accused of having only secondhand knowledge but now all of a sudden he has firsthand knowledge. They said the person that we want to hear most from whistle blower because he knows the most and then well said well actually the person who knows the most is the president and he's welcome here anytime he wants. And that's what the left in my expectation. Is that the the likelihood of the president showing up in person raising his right hand to swear to tell the truth before that committee Mitty is not likely. So you've told us about the importance in lawyering Somebody like president trump to give wiggle room in testimony. I don't recall Paul as opposed to I don't or as opposed to know We have somebody we have a real life example coming up with Gordon. Sunland who actually didn't recall recall Some very important things with regard to the impeachment inquiry he had his memory jogged at least one time and then subsequent to that we found out new information mation that About his call. You know the very loud telephone call in the Ukraine Ukrainian restaurant with President trump. So I I guess the question is. Is Somebody like that that in more legal jeopardy or in some sort of legal jeopardy for his the the way he addressed Congress and then had completely changed his story about whether or not there was some sort of ultimatum to the Koreans for military aid. Right so Saad. Lynn says I don't recall then. Other witnesses testified to his direct direct involvement in the thing that he didn't recall and then he corrects the record. And says that refresh my recollection. I now recall. And my testimony is consistent consistent with those others in respect of the homes. Telephone call that was overheard the alcs talked about. He was not really directly asked. That question didn't exactly Give a denial of of that call so he too has room now when he testifies again to elaborate on his prior testimony which I expect that he will do. I expect that he is not gonNa have memory failures like he did in the closed door testimony too much each other evidence out there which links him to this information that if he were to not recall under those circumstances it probably would be seen as a false statement achievement and you can falsely testify before Congress by inaccurately describing your memory as as being faulting so so just to wrap this up for everybody If in in congressional testimony don't say no and if you absolutely can avoid it I don't recall is a lot better. Because it's really hard to prosecute somebody for lying if they said I don't know because your memory can always be shocked. Yes with the qualification. In that there are prosecutions where individuals have said incredulously. They don't recall and that they were the prosecutors. Were able then and to present evidence to say that I don't recall was actually ally and you cannot therefore say with confidence. Just keep saying I don't recall I don't recall and you off the hook because at one point you're alleged failure of recollection is GonNa be tantamount to an affirmatively. I think what what we've done here is tumble into exactly the problem. That a lot of people have with Washington because this is making my head hurt Michael Alex thank you for joining me on the daily. "The first thing they we all expected from Houston Astros yesterday we we expected to hear from the Houston Astros yesterday regarding Brandon top man the assistant GM I remember his comments in the in the dugout star in the locker room after the ALCS when as he can reportedly kept screaming we're so glad we have soon repeatedly in reference to the the the star in reference to the picture that service seventy five game suspension last year for domestic violence all of that context is important here because he he directed his comments towards three female reporters that were there one of which was wearing domestic violence support bracelet and as you continue to think about what that means what it means moving forward the Astros initially reacted to the statement by calling out the reporter calling out Sports Illustrated and even in it is flat out saying did they were fabricating a story and making something out of nothing that's where it started now I think true window smartly said as we initially reacted to it Hey if this is the thing one thing we can expect is that we will get more eye witness accounts there were a lot of people in the room let's see what other people in the room set well other people in the room immediately came out and feverishly defended the reporter and the Sports Illustrated story that led us to what happened yesterday and look sometimes in the world all you want is an apology that sincere and what you want or for people to come out and explain what happened why it happened and say they're sorry for it without any sort of mitigating factors without any sort of walk back but with actual transparency there was an opportunity for the Astros to do that yesterday they did not this is what Jeff flew now said the Astor GM this is his initial apology announcement yesterday that they fired assistant GM branded top we have separate with brandy top any longer an employee of the Astros his behavior was inappropriate and not representative of who the Astros are in our culture and what we stand for that original reaction by the Astros was wrong and we own it as an organization there were many people involved in reviewing that approving that and I'm not going to get into the details of that it was wrong it was the Astros decision and that's from Italy that so many layers on that to decide by the way that you're not going to get into that but we'll get there in the second part of what he said is our initial believe was based on witness statements about the incident who who did they talk to who lied to the Astros if they're going to say that they were lied to and they're going to blame that on part of why they made the statement initially that they made then some mind it like we have the the opportunity in this moment the right I would say to ask them to tell us who lied and what's being done to the people that live the other part of what he said there is it I'm not going to get into it it was in Astor's decision regarding the statement that was made that means it he's saying several people within the Astros organization had the opportunity to not make the comments in response they had the opportunity to not though the reporter on the bus they had the opportunity to not try to ruin somebody's career and the on the opportunity to not protect somebody they didn't deserve protecting but they chose not to do that and he tells you flat out that several people within the organization approved that decision without telling you who that led to a heated back and forth in the room about who should be accountable this is important check it out you smeared and potentially damaged a person's career shouldn't there be a price paid for the people who decided that that was the idea in the way that Brandon tell me just how to pay with his career I don't know the answer that to be honest with you you run the organ is it you want baseball operations as you now right and I help him crane hasn't come today Jeff I I understand that and and we're we're taking responsibility and accountability for that and apologizing for it at this point that's that's all I can tell you I don't have anything else to give you marry on that I I mean are you taking accountability for it doesn't sound like it it sounds like what you're saying is Hey a bunch of people decided that the initial statement was okay and that's not on me and that's not really my decision I'm just the mouth piece standing up here in front of everybody to talk about it and in the meantime we're sorry that we said anything but we were misinformed me that's what his apology basically is he came in and said Hey we were lied to I'm not gonna tell you by who and so we fired the person that did it and we realize that you know we decided to make a statement that was perceived poorly worst apology ever

"Luis Severino gives the New York Yankees and look Tanaka I don't know I think I think I'm more impressed with what Tanaka put like seriously what was your thought be quite what are you gonNa tell them what are you gonNa do what I do so the whistling Jerry I promise you you will not miss out our promise you you will not be disappointed do not without hell yeah Joel Madden's no longer unemployed nope nope the three year deal with the angels this is comes as no surprise really I feel like we all kind of saw this coming if anything we're kind of curious if he would still take the job after the whole Tyler skaggs scandal with the employees being the in the supplier and they're being five other angels that the team employee named and then also the two angels executives that allegedly knew about Tyler skaggs drug usage that has not deterred Joel Madden from choosing the angels as the next team for him to me manage so I don't know I mean I how could you turn down the opportunity to be Mike Trust manager but at the same time I don't know that the angels are the best fit for Joe Madden it's a lot look it's a lot more than that and I had gone to San Diego up until the minute that this job available in Philly obviously the minute that this job became available it was a no-brainer because where does he come from the coaching you know the schools coach so he is now just an extension essentially that's why the relationship he has with the front office and with the owner is very comfortable he was there when they won the world series right so they know what they're getting they know who they're getting and they've been able to sort of send him off to college and watch him graduate watch him start his own company watch him how a tremendous amount of success and now they're welcoming back in the fold and I don't think there's anybody else right now that the angels would be comfortable with bringing back into the fold because it's kind of like hey you've got it's kind of like hook it back up with that ex- you know but it's not like there was a falling out it's not like you ever really broke up you just have now circled back in a mood things official because now this is a guy who kind of knows what those skeletons in your closet may look like chair he may know who's boots are under your bed he is probably the safest landing spot for the angels in a in a in a myriad of ways not only for the baseball side of things because they know who they're getting like I said Socia- he talks about you know the angel method or whatever he said this is how they're gonNA play it's it's a brand new baseball that has been here before he was referencing Mike Social so it's not like they're that far removed from the Social Era Detroit l. out this is just a yes for me this is also the guy when you think about the culture stuff the reasons that you think it might have worn thin in Chicago where some of the reasons that it was great early on in Chicago is because he allowed these young kids the Rizzo's the Bryant's to develop the Brizo he was handling the Addison Russell stuff he was also you know Korea handling not handling hobby bias but allowing hobby bias to blossom it'd be the charismatic player that he is now you have everything the you just talked about with the front office and executives involved other players in ball who better maybe then uncle joe slash Grandpa Joe however you WanNa look them to come in and put the arms around this organization it's a hey guys look I've been here before this is what we can do this is how we're going to do would would we okay we'll be okay why because we've got the best player in baseball and our glasses will always from here on out be half full last is always helpful with Joe bad sitting at your table Jay where you're gonNA say something no no no I just think it's interesting to look at this decision within the context of all the open jobs that exist in baseball but not in a good or bad way I think it's interesting that there are as many open jobs is there are and Madden madden shows the angels the angels chose Madden and where does that leave other people yeah where do you thank his his best fit was no I think it was I think it was this animation Oh yeah I think this was like it's cliche everybody pointed it out but I do think some of that was on merit it's a team that has ambitions of winning in the present it's hard to ignore the sort of opportunity that it would be to coach or manage the single best player of his generation one of the greatest players of all time potentially I think that has real appeal particularly for a guy who has already won a world series and it's not that you stop wanting to win world series but you can kind of check that one box off a little bit I think Otani has to present some level of intrigue a guy like Joe Madden who if anything he's got that reputation as a thinking manager whether that's totally earned or not is probably debatable but Otani to me if I'm a manager particularly one who's been around a long time the opportunity to maybe do different things with a talent like that would be the appeal Joe Joe mads GonNa fuck around Tony Play online positions yeah start the game and play the rest of the fucking field I think like there isn't a managerial job that to me is a homerun no questions about it you can walk right in and be a certified world contender I don't think that opening exists so in that world I think that this this is a really strong fit obviously the pitching has to come around insane that for the better part of a half decade but there's some there's some there's some slots open right what are we what are we got Matt's cobs Padres Jen spoiled else phillies royal so I out of out of these clubs when I think about availability opportunity I think you have to consider right now all the transition that's occurring in the relationship that exists between front offices and the manager that is as different and as demanding in my opinion as it's ever really been because you're asking a guy to be able to process information really information from the top to him and from him down to the players right so he now has to be capable of assessing said information and the front office has to be competent his ability to do so because it's no longer a front office saying we're GONNA sit up here in the box you go down there and just be the baseball man that's been the baseball man his whole life and will trust that everything you're doing is right for our baseball team because why would -aseball man be making the right baseball decisions that doesn't exist anymore but there are some clubs who if you're not spending the Audie or applying the analytical approach you are essentially representing exactly that a comfortable spot aw for quote unquote these dinosaur baseball men to exist in a place where you don't have to worry about making moves because the front office isn't worried about competing or contending and I'm not at no point are saying that like baseball men don't have a place in the game I'm the last dude you'll ever hear that from Sakhalin how much how those dudes are like the every team needs fucking twelve of them in their clubhouse if you ask me So I think I think those are things that you have to consider like the giants right they've got they've got a pocket book also got a very forward thinking GM far Hans Eighty and how that is applied you know him trying to stay under the luxury tax sort of resources he's going to give you and how much is he going to be involved in the structure of your lineup on a day to day basis these are things that I think a manager or potential manager starts to evaluate maybe more than they ever did before so to me like I mean everything you said correct I mean to list off just for this conversation some of the names that have been linked to teams in general buck showalter Joe Girardi Dusty Baker David Ross Mike Metheny at ward the Perez Gabe Kappler the latest report for the Padres is that the job is down to Ron Washington and Jas Tingler who is is has apparently spent the past season as the field coordinator with the Rangers he was with them under Jeff Bannister is experiencing managing in the minors etc etc to be like to meet these kind of wash back managed theme to me these fit into like almost a two or three different buckets in terms of the the jobs available like to me the lowest here is without question the royals and the pirates And I think given the talent level you could put the giants in that as well although I think they're clearly the most attractive of those three but to me like those are the three least attractive option that's available to anyone here and I think like the mets cubs and phillies are precarious situations for a manager and I think that's part of the reason why you've heard mostly fit in and why they would fit in to which organizations so let's take the David Ross's the Eduardo Perez is he's bilingual he he believes that the analytics he has a handle on the analytics I worked very closely with Eddie he was one of the guys that was fun to be able to have those just the the.

"Then boom slight tear you know just wasn't the same guy but the success has allowed you to kind of forget that this isn't Tanaka who was supposed to be blown she's this is Tanaka who is you know he can get it up there if you need to but we're talking about a guy who's pitching out of the same tunnel berry effectively with the fastball split Combo slider so I think just watching Tanaka flip the lineup three times has been has been fun it's been impressive because it's been some we contact Tanakh has made Scene Tanaka twice in the same series by or other teams the Houston Astros because they're not like to see is I mean didn't he pitch against Houston I got one of the six innings to earn runs and then the second time he saw Houston seven innings six zero earned runs so he actually got better the second time against Houston dipper ballclub two different ballclub Fisher route to lead the same ballclub so we'll see what happens the Yankee bats because they took care of business and then the same thing with Tanaka Tanaka goes out there and shoves I feel like that's just a thing that could very much happen tonight I felt no doubt no doubt his Sorry go ahead Dawson when I was just going to say I I I like this is this is the Yankees bobble right now of oxygen for them to for them to stay alive if they can if they can win this game then they're in a lot better spot than they will ever be Tanaka one fifty one batting average allowed is the lowest by us artor in postseason history for all of those with at least forty innings pitched it's Tanaka Garrett Cole George Earnshaw who pitched in the late Twenties and early thirties sure tsar and then some name Art Neth and his appe is opium against as the second best ever Eddie Plank Hall of Famer from the early nineteen hundreds yup big plank everyone ruins the plank of course of course yeah everyone The crowd was during his starts they walk the plank walk the plank and he is is that was hit for himself to they were like you don't want this car yeah give him four walk the plank that actually be unbelievable if there's like a stud baseball player in his last name was plank the walk the plank t shirts would I mean why shelves you will be able to print up fast enough I put my kids through college on walk the plank t shirts what could you imagine if it was Berry Lamar plank wow walk year oh my walk the blink walk the plank I feel like if I were lower might trout and I was sick all the fish jokes that change my last name to pull plank to see you could sell your teacher it's Michael Plank I played with the Mike Plant by the way thirteen fourteen fifteen years old did you did let's see now he's how a very successful basketball coach okay so he gave up on his dreams of being a baseball player well the dream kind of gives up on you jared at times it's it's really not giving up on a dream sometimes the game just choosy out choose Yep spit you out maybe before you're ready preach who do we got in game four tonight what what are official picks my official pick is my official pictures the New York Yankees have no fear of Zag ranking say and and and Zach the the the story line is going to be how Justin Verlander Garrett Cole and the Houston Astros were still able to get to the world series and get through this divisions or get through this championship series without the help of Zachary Yeah J. Seventy-five Yankees seven to five Yankees Jerry Hayes Hammer the over hammer the over to be honest with Ya I also have the Yankees scoring seven runs I just don't know where those those other five or coming from with to knock on the mound and the Yankee bullpen going seven to Yankees wow hey listen what you have to like we should be playing four games keeps in four days is that correct correct so you be a travel day to day not giving them the Travel Day yes there would be a travel this Oh so only three games I guess I haven't looked no no no no no no there is a game Thursday Friday Saturday Sunday they're games right now so that's what I thought so Thursday Friday Saturday Sunday I just I just assumed because of the rain you have to condense it you because you've got the world series schedule you have to consider you can't just start moving shit back the the Yankees are going to be faced with happing to utilize this bullpen jared for potentially the next four days that is a task that is way easier talked about actually fulfilled yeah so you're Aaron Boone you have to win three war baseball games right yep you got to win three more baseball games and you've got the opportunity to do that here at home those are all going to come in a row so the guys that maybe haven't pitched back to back days in a while they're going to be forced to do that and the guys that have gone back to back days three days in a row now going to be the Cup of tea and is going to be the test same thing for the Houston Astros but for the Yankees their strength being the bullpen that's why it's the test is because outside of outside of what Tanaka like are you expecting to get seven strong from Severino or Paxton Saint Paxton oh tonight is your night if you're the New York Yankees for Masahiro Tanaka to keep the bullpen in good shape as he possibly can knowing the next two games are as pivotal as possible and you sort of open up the gate and let the horses run for the next two days if to knock it can give you the out you need from him tonight otherwise Aaron Boone put your manager hat on because this is going to be time before we move on the MLB investigated the Houston Astros for the sign stealing thing then the league found the astros did not violate any policies for the whole whistling thing I mean sign stealing get the fuck over if you're if you're not lose it you're not using electronics to steal signs the just be smarter about yeah and and the whole the whole verbal command thing all hit on this this is something that happens high school college right and maybe even at times I guess I don't know through the minor leagues I wasn't in the Dugout to here her the conversations that these guys are having with each other or what sort of communication that they're into but in high school we had your pitches if knew what was coming and I'm on deck you know your last name or your number is off speed anything else is a fastball what just shit like that save the college right if you're on second base the transferring of signals hand position which way your heads look in between did you or right before the pie that's all a street legal so it's about where is your verbal command where people drawing the line with the verbal command that's whistling is becoming the issue is people are like what it's basically like just yelling Adam and I and I've often said this I've had this conversation for what years what would you do if Jose altuve stood at second base and held up to figgers and let Carlos Correa take his axe what would you do what would you do what could you do what would be the course of action seriously are the Yankees going to start drilling someone because now you're putting baserunners on now we've got but but that's that's serious question at that point time would there have to be attention paid to Stein stealing would we did have to outlaw sign stealing therefore making the art of signed stealing all the more important in the game of baseball because as the cultural baseball has shown you tell us that we can't do I would guess what we're going to find a way to do it even fucking better and that's just the reality I think of not only baseball a lot of scenarios right that's a scenario that going to be faced within a few short years jeered don't date hippies got cigarettes rolled up in his shirt he's got a leather jacket he writes a fucking Harley you know what I may very well come home into a daughter with fucking delivery diehard ride free food or naked face I am idea I have to look but it's a harley what is this nine "I really look just like you I think you gotta you gotTa entertain it a little you gotta maybe maybe if it was maybe if they went to the world aries in two thousand thirteen or fourteen but it's worth so far removed from the two thousand twelve season that I'm not going to be like well Stephen Strasbourg's here and he's dealing on the way to an in two thousand twelve but it put put he's but he's also dealt with some injuries between share well and now as well so that's it could have protected him they chose not to and now he's had the sees the like microfracture whatever it was like he said the other issues I just I I five facts well if it's if it's not type of a stallion that you think he can be then you do say you know what we should be able to your Alad twelve thirteen fourteen fifteen sixteen seventeen eighteen boom two thousand nineteen so like you gotta you gotTa think was like based on stuff we could never know so as all of this like the nationals are one or two bounces away from continuing to be an epic earlier over the last eight years like that's how thin the point on which this stuff turns is like you can make Christian Yelich never gets hurt at the nationals are out in the long like any or any other of like ten different variables for this season could go differently I've just drawing attention to how like I don't think there's much conversation going on about hey remember that time the nats front office told everybody to stand pat with the Strasbourg thing and and lectured said it's a little bit the down the line but it's like Oh shit here they are again like Z. Buddy has anybody even address that maybe it's not a big deal just something I've thought about like oh wow that's crazy see they told us to hold on be here an hour they are to the point about the the nats pitching sort of officially arriving in September the the cardinals hit one thirty in the L. C. N. LCS that is the lowest batting average eighteen has ever put forward in about seven series not good good there is still the world series yet to go of course oh there you are as could change but right now shares are in Strasbourg both had Glavin Maddox and smoltz and the ninety one braves with people forget Steve Avery and John smolts Steve Avery those are the only combinations of pitchers who have ever gone through a postseason posted sub twos With a minute the number of innings pitched so we're getting I think what you talk about the Super Rotations and oh those haven't really delivered in the postseason lately or whatever and Yada Yada Yada I mean this this is what it looks like when it delivers let's bring that Annabelle Sanchez drum to you kidding me a point seven we are a sir he would be you would be right there along with them yeah that's what you need you don't need you don't need Cowbell Jerod you need Annabel Hala oh so according to our friend Sarah Lang's that nineteen and thirty one that you guys brought up that was the second worst record through fifty games too advanced to a world series was the worst two thousand five astros who of course lost in the world series but it did did win the pennant today even when a game there were others walk thought it was was it four or four one might have been for one standby yeah that White Sox team I mean like they didn't even yet bullpen pitching was the pitching was pretty wild that you're like restarted was throwing a complete game it was it was for oh it was for they did not win a game to see that yeah the AFC s sounds like you guys have buried the Yankees or at least Dallas has I have I have not I have not I do think the game four is the biggest game of the series I think the dynamic changes entirely based on who wins his game tonight I I I'm not surprised that the series is to one in favor of the Astros at least three games but I am not ruling out the Yankees still win in this series this is this is kind of how you expect it to play out from here from here I don't know because now you've got zag cranky and yet he stadium and that that he did not pitch well on the road in Tampa You know you have a guy that is on regular rest because the rain the rain out I guess helps a big time when you have regular rest because now you've got very lander and that spot for for a potential will a game five but how are you I I don't know May- maybe it's just me putting what about what's happened so far in the series he's besides Garrett Cole shoving which we all kind of expected to happen what have you seen that makes you discount the Yankees from winning the series I just I think that that is the enough for me is watching Garrett Cole and Justin Verlander I just I mean Zach ranking goes out there tonight give five earned runs now we've got a tied series and Y- and ask for blender all but I mean I just don't what what you're on the road for two more days I mean so you're going to win one of those do bog what I mean we've seen Burland IRV you're gonna you're going to win one of those do ball games and then you're going back home three to all right so zach cranky loses game four series ride what if here's here's also this to all the what ifs if this series makes its way back to Houston thanks for coming it's a done deal it's a done deal I don't see how I mean I I kind of look at it like if you were if you were up to one in this series and you had ver- lander coal going it's different but yet you you got your win with coal now you've got to trust cranky to go out there and pitch in Yankee Stadium Donna how that's GonNa go you could very well be looking at a tied series it's there's not enough there's not enough dominance on Houston side at least from what I've seen I'm not I'm not saying that I'm picking the Yankees I'm just saying we can absolutely not sleep on the fact that they could easily win the series two no no you're right there's a difference between me heavily discounting them and not you know and the the reality and the feasibility of them winning the series is still very much alive absolutely this is me just fuck you up so let's say let's say the Astros lose the ball game tonight now we've got tied series two two and then it's Garrett Cole Against Severino and let's say a that goes to Garrett Cole now it's Three Two oh sorry so it never go the only way it goes back to Houston is for final game right for game show no game six in Houston six and seven so and you go back yeah so then you go back for you go back for game six with Verlinden and then it's no no Tanaka and Grandi game him for Paxton Verleger Game Five Berliner five and then game six would presumably be several yeah Reno in Col- Roger and game sevens everybody yeah but who would you legitimately have start that game that's what's crazy you get to a game seven where it's like the Yankees could in theory throat a decent starter but who the fuck or they can just open your dad they could start chat green or whatever who the astros starting in game seven I big with the bull pin arm and they tell they tell Justin Verlaine are you have the last three innings of this bogging so just be ready to go game seven in this series would be fucking shit shall be ready that's that's what I that's what I think because I mean and I think Berlin would be in a position to say yeah you know what you're right let's go and then he I mean I think it would it would it would be an all hands on deck approach obviously that's why that's why I think your case Dallas of this series is over if they win one of the next two then that okay now you're in a spot to be like yet you gotta get through co again just that's not happening well that's that's why I feel like it because I feel like we're lander is going to be even though I think tonight is the biggest game of the series you're the Yankees backup and you're still got still have another game at home to play after that use that to your advantage to to have a series lead going back to Houston or you have if you're the Yankees now you're down three one and you still have to beat Garrett Cole Justin verlander and what that does what that does to Aaron Boone and the pinch pipers is put a lot of pressure on that means every out crucial right you're playing for your playoff life at that point so you're you're at that point you are the travel team who ran out of pitching on Friday and was able to piece together a win somehow got through Saturday as well and like Y- now at Sunday you have no pitching whatsoever you have no idea what's going on that's kind of where the Yankees could find themselves if it's three one nabbed Astra's win tonight the series is over I think there is a I don't know man are you are you guys seeing the difference between a and look there's be an obvious oh well yeah but I mean can you feel and see the difference between the at bats in the swings that you've seen against arms like ver- lander arms like coal even arms like Bueller at times just with the high velocity the swing and miss the dominance factor that is there the difference between those ABC's and the at bats that I think you see some guys take against green tea especially in the Yankees lineup just you're you're you're not necessarily fooling anybody right and he's got to be I think at this point he has to be on his he's gotta be dot nats directly in the ass all four quarters excuse me all four quadrants both corners that's that's got to happen that's the difference I think between the coal and the Orlando outings and the Greeky outings is the stuff and the Yankees are just more comfortable against this guy yeah why wouldn't you be they see the ball against Cranky But yeah again I feel like I'm not saying whoever wins game four wins the series but if Houston wins game for it's fucking shut the lights ballgame over Did you like what you saw from Luis Severino I I mean there there there were obviously there were folks talking about the same things that I kind of saw which was you know when you when you need when we needed to he was able to dial in upright sure in the damage were Solo homer is like you'll take that you'll get live with that that's it and and I mean that's going to happen not necessarily in this office or this season though homerun not necessarily a factor that it has been during the regular season but yeah it has done he's always done this in the playoffs I feel like everyone sleeps on how great to knock has been in the playoffs throughout his whole career we will we we were talking about that but I think again just with when you talk about pitch mix and stuff lies like I just talked about some of the bats that we've seen been taken against grinky because the lack of velocity compared to his counterparts excuse me compared to his cohorts in Berlin and Cole thing about Tanaka and Severino those are two arms who are very different right you gotta remember to knock it was billed as the ninety four ninety seven ninety eight guy when he got over here and Evan postseason starts he's got a one three two yaar a thirty six strikeouts in forty one innings with a point seven three whip yeah that's pretty fucking good so I don't know I like I like the Yankees in game four if you like the narrative is going to be cranky and he's not gonna be able to handle Yankee Stadium and this and that how about the astros just not being able to handle it doc I feel like that's probably a more fair storyline like this whole thing about You know what this is something you got to think about the Astros a team that is great at making adjustments the team that has greeted doing their homework they they're going to be seeing the same arm twice in a matter of you know a week or whatever there's going to be adjustments made sure there's going to be a judge it's not like other teams years ago so he pitched in twenty seventeen Tanaka got game three of the division series I think I again I hate the whole like anxiety narrative with Zach Cranky I understand that it exists but it's like the guy can't talk to people that doesn't mean he can't pitch pretty well yeah that's like he has difficulty answer in questions from the media and having Social Interactions The guy can pitch in front of a a rock and crowd he's done it his entire career so zach rank he goes out there and doesn't pitch well I hired everyone's GonNa be talking about the anxiety how crediting.

MLB playoffs: What a Game 4 rainout means for the Yankees and Astros in the ALCS

"Six so your mother nature won the battle when it comes to Major League Baseball American League Championship Series no game four on Wednesday that was expected game four is going to happen on Thursday night eight o'clock eastern time on ESPN radio and ESPN at both managers had to speak on in terms of the benefits of a post poll game first AJ hands of the Houston Astros gives everybody if they often have an opportunity collectors cells before gas for changes are pitching a little bit how beneficial it is probably easier to answer after I see how guys perform and how the pitching plays out but I guess it's kind of a wait and see but I does solidify who we starting game for game five without having to go to a bowl game and Yankees manager when it comes to a player coming back that'll be another conversation even though he hasn't been able to go yet I gave you and then the potential option off the bench in the heating situation if we like something so I don't look at it as were entirely twenty four man right now I do believe we have as bad off the bench right now and whether a situation for that arises we'll see but will continue to evaluate the best smartly as we can move forward to do you some Giancarlo Stanton who believes will be another battle of the bands I firmly believe this whoever wins game four will win the ALCS I think the Yankees the win in six I'm not going to back up that prediction I think the day off could help both teams if you the ask George W. pitching if you the New York Yankees get a chance to maybe get a little mo Jo back at the having a bad slow down losing game two and game three either way took the toll the after the better team but I believe were wins game four win ALCS I think with that team is going to be the Yankees may because I picking the winner six I'm not going to back down from the production right after those in seven sticking with the Astros in seven I don't care who wins game four the is starting pitching to me is the key to any post season team surviving in advancing as a great Jim Bob on a one seven kind came the NC double a tournament surviving advancing in M. L. B. post season all about starting pitching to me and the the best rotation the best horses on the hill goes easily with the Astros and wears game seven in Houston if we get there that's it that's the kicker right there for me is if the if the giving gets to Houston and then for the Yankees in the E. if it goes seven that's their long relievers and when they become leverage real relievers when I never heard of that before tonight before you mention that four different stories I read today will leverage really quick what noted is is is is like mold management became part of it and yeah looks at this and everything in long re yeah leave our yeah or just read the verse they haven't had to use on and three more than three figurines all season now you can ask them to go for for the first time ever with everything on the line and you put that pressure on you also we about stress innings right in stressful pitches in well this is a little bit more stressful than they've had to go through the entire regular season so to me it's all about the starting lineup Yankee fans they don't want to hear it but great he has not been good the post season but I got some guy even if you win game forty Riverland there in five then another duty may have to face call Gerrit Cole who is like the modern day version of sandy Koufax right now you've been unavailable since may so he scuffled by his standards with five walks in seven innings that's coupling is scuffling but the Yankees lineup will make you sick awful I don't believe the Yankees are intimidated or afraid of these guys now I agree with that as well then we don't have the Yankees getting in touch with their inner symbols cardinals and the national back like Houston Astros because the national thoroughly intimidated the Saint Louis cardinals that team was beat up on the feet of the metagame for even got started they had no chance of winning that game even they tried to make a comeback at the being now seven nothing I think the Yankees fully believe having a day off would be the perfect a mixer for them to get everything right because there's not a pitching staff that they don't believe that they can't handle no matter how terrific those guys are lander Reekie as well as call he's if it's in the Freddie Coleman Freddie if it's Simmons on ESPN radio Sirius XM channel eighty of the yanks are going to knock a who was sensational the start this series in game four but he doesn't go a third term through the line up because the analytic geeks say well when he goes through a third time in the line up they they're hitting three oh nine if the guys in a groove right you mean the mother figure out what he's tipping or what he's missing in that third time through you have as many brains watching all these stats and in every game figure it out but in this situation may have to knock a is it in a groove you leave him in there but they don't want to do it they haven't done it and now Freddie it's one that drives me nuts you know right you got this guy who's who's dealing through sex you probably because the numbers say so that that drives me insane the Astros don't do that even though there is number geeky is anybody maybe even more so than anyone out there right now to get involved with trying to steal secrets on the cardinals when they used to work for them all about **** now that'll to do holes what two hundred articles on again but AJ Hinch is one of those guys that's also eyeball if you're rolling man you're sticking but I'm a sticking with you so that's why I like it the Astros you no matter who wins who wins tonight I think that that that that night all this postponement favors distros because now you've got green key Enver lander both on regular rest and then you still have even have great he has gone up the skirt a couple times obviously the post season you've got overlander and coal Berlin under in coal you got to win two games I would put my money on those two over whatever the yanks so out in a leverage relievers and then you want to throw at the astronaut I look at it this way by the way we had read Ryan the present Houston Astros he joins earlier on Freddie if it's Simmons he knows exactly how good these Yankees team is and he knows this service is far from over you know I love it it's it's a great great route your current kicks back to fifteen we played in the wild card it obviously seventeen we win the World Series but what what a great seven game series the home team won one all the games and this year we we took four out of seven from home and you know we won three at home they won the first it was the final game of the season that that you know we ended up winning and here in New York and so all of these games get their nip and tuck it's a dog fight and just because we're out to one side does not mean that that this thing is over if it were a cruise control because that team their Yankee Stadium they're stacked we've got arms they've got power they've got great players all over the place cash did a great job with that club together and looking around and got a couple of stood on the bump and that we got you got you can swing it pretty good it was amazing that when the Yankees won game one everybody's like while they beat the daylights out of the Astros which they did in game one no doubt winning seven nothing the Astros win game two in game three the Astros are in control of this series of bacon all on a second control be three one to me yeah two one they're not in control of the service as I was yeah that me it if you're gonna use that tack with the out of being in control is saying that the Astros are in control my god Ian watching the MOB network watch ESPN and others forgot the baseball people on TV and was on radio all many **** how control is there's a two one you'd be amazed how many times I heard that today they got the point us okay I'm I'm not gonna be part of definition sandy with this kind of stupidity going out there get that one game in the series means you're in control no it doesn't I think this thing's going seven it's going to be epic then the only reason I like the strokes is because of what we read Ryan just mentioned there those two horses they've got on the hill Enver lander and cold at the Yankee still have to face what is your major league baseball you need this to go seven the NASA took care of business if you got a potential rivalry like this with the met in the playoffs two thousand fifteen two thousand seventeen and now two thousand nineteen you get a seven game series and now you have a cross country robbery so to speak was not these two teams in the same division or two teams on the same coast you got the big Ole boys in New York City and a good Ole country boys down Houston colliding in the series if you have that kind of heat that you can generate you could potentially have your latter day forty Niners cowboys or paid many versus Tom Brady because you got a big city I got a bigger city without a baseball city when it comes to Houston if his goal seven it could do Major League Baseball a world of good that they could have never imagined and never even had to beg borrow or steal if the Yankees Astros give us and Major League Baseball with the looking

"Getting up with Aaron Rodgers on tonight thrilled with controversy he is back and better than ever locked to unpack from Lambeau we will start there then just when you thought the cowboys had enough troubles wait until you here who talking trash at them now you will and less than ten minutes away and later Lebron speaks out his real feelings in the wake of the China trip and what it means be a going forward you've got questions we've got answers time to get up starting right now with the end of week six and the NFL and appropriately it ended with a lot of question it's about the officiating lambofield Aaron Rodgers and the Packers Matthew Stafford and the Lions I I play of the game I play from scrimmage for the Lions we corruption yeah love the aggressive play call flea flicker they bring Golladay from one side of the field all the way to the other outstanding throw by Matthew Stafford good the lion okay so that it starts well they would wind up settling for a field goal so with three nothing and then if you woke up this morning and you're wondering why is this game trending all night long why is everyone talking here about this game so angrily all night long you'll start to see it now fourth quarter bear in mind the circumstance fourth quarter to score game twenty to thirteen is your score on third downplay Aaron Rodgers goes down they're going to have to punch but hold on hand so that face entree flowers awful call third down ten minutes to go in the game the lines nine point lead this is a massive swing in momentum in this book log in and does Rogers capitalize of course capitalizes because he's Aaron Rodgers and that's Allen lazard that's a touchdown you're going to see a great look at it but the Pylon Cam and so the packers are now within two points again continue to bear in mind the circumstances of the game ensuing Ryan's drive so this is the next possession on second down Stafford is going deeper Marvin Jones and if you watch the jets and cowboys on Sunday this passenger factor outstanding point Greenie goop but left arm comes raked across the chest a full second before the ball ever gets the Marvin Jones obvious past interfere or less than that was hauled in a game on Sunday but they don't call it so the lions after punt ensuing packers Dr Aaron Rodgers keeping alive because he's from so we slides it's got a I and here we go again third down from the sixteen forty five to play Rogers dropping back buying time he's going to throw an incomplete they're going to have to kick the field goal now the lions are going to get another chance but hold on the same call on the same player game completely given by the visits you see a hand on the shoulder pads holding on from trey flowers the buck dr eat the official for some reason does again in gives the packers the win addict I down so they can they can run the clock down to this and kick it with two seconds left him said packers win let the arguments begin the awesome different than what actually happened now I didn't think has to chips was a plum a Dr Hanson a face I had them right here in the cheese say Tom Changing all right here I don't think so so look we've talked about this a lot this morning and Dan you made a very impassioned plea to the owners and Jay Bilas our friend has been texting me all morning long asked me some questions about this and we're gonNA show you a bunch of tweets came from very credible people whose names you will know about the officiating last night and those are just going to be on the screen as we have this conversation I won't read each one of them to you you can see them yourselves Barry Sanders the first of what will be several but but Jay is essentially asking are we talking about individual bad calls or are we talking about a systemic problem where they're just calling to many things and my response would be both they're calling too many things if you watch jets always on Sunday there were just too many flags that were six consecutive plays with flags thrown on the most important drive of the game then yesterday we have a circumstance where just blatantly missed calls wind up deciding the outcome of a very important listen perspective us as fans people that are watching the game we as analysts will get a chance to look at these games over and over again right and we dissect and we pick apart the calls the plays the type of situations that coaches are putting them in don't you think one second that these referees don't have a heightened sense of either missing or call or making a wrong call and it's leading to them being overzealous about bowling football games but you know who created that landscape fans because they wanted replay they wanted these calls to be right so now what we miss them we have a heightened sense that that play caused the game that play calls the game that's where we are right now I'm not it was bad calls They were too bad calls and possibly at an impact on the game for sure of the nation scored touchdowns in the red zone we can get to the different congress looking at but when you start to think about where we are four you just go off to say hey this is absolutely unbelievable number one they've been missing calls since the beginning of time and number two is there's a heightened sense of this now because we expect every call to be right because of replaced but we can't sit back and go like since it's been happening we should do anything for it when we grew up playing sports every head coach in mind would say officials don't determine the outcome the football game yes they do nowadays there more situations in the NFL where the Coles are so bad that the officials determine the outcome of the football game we've gotta take it's not just those two chill hands to the face calls of last night the Lazar touchdown he's down at the one yard line there's another example watch this watch the lions are about the up in formation center over the football they are in ready to play the packers have not twelve thirteen people on the field that is it legal yet a flag was not thrown on that plane UAE was a flag not thrown on that play but the lions headed flag thrown on him for twelve men on the field when the packers were sending to fill that's the thing like we can't egregiously sit sit back and just let these situation continue to dominate the conversation owners it's on you guys to fix that I've been having these conversations and some like them for almost thirty years on the air now and we're having an argument with Joe Torre one time in baseball where he said to me when he was opposed to instant replay over the course of one hundred sixty two games bad calls will even out you'll get some go your way you'll get some go the other way with that football is it like that they something I believe something better than what we are getting can be done now in fairness I want you to hear what cl- Clean Blake men had you say he was the referee in the game last night who was making the announcements of these calls but as he points out the umpire through both of those flags the last one was really the only one I've discussed with him basically it's for illegal use of the hands hands of the face foul to be a foul we basically need some forceful contact that's prolonged to the head and neck area of the defender so in his line he pinned him back it was prolonged and that's what created the foul next the explanation for the National Football League released from the official we'll talk more about it as we go now to the baseball game that's right L. C. has gained three wasn't technically an elimination game for the cardinals but it was with them down to nothing in the series so texts lucky for them they had to face Stephen Strasburg who was filthy just like in all playoffs look at these sliders good hitters Paul Goldschmidt knees black he's got no chance right there bottom third we go with the nationals up one nothing anthony Grondona at the plate pay the man reaches out Blue Marcello Zun can't come up with the catch when the cardinals case for offensively when their pitchers are getting hit around you at least play defense is a ball that should've had and it opened the floodgates for the nets indeed eaten would come around to score nats go up two to nothing and then a couple of batteries peter how `bout what Howie Kendrick has done in the postseason this guy is absolutely amazing three seventeen with nine RBI's already this postseason professional a lot of pitches for Stephen Strasburg he's looking good and look at how Christie's pitches are late new game that is one hundred seventeen pitches of unbelievable baseball and then the love from Harare back in the dug-out thank you thank you for helping us because don't look now at the nationals on the verge of making their first trip to the world series in over eighty six years and the petty right or the casual fan might say how were the nationals this good and yet they got rid of bryce Harper of that you would say it's completely unfair to say Bryce Harper was the reason that the nationals were deep playoff contenders the last few years bryce Harper is a great player that being said when he turned down three hundred million dollars so nationals they were now allowed to go spend that other than other places they got Patrick Corbin they signed how Kendrick last year they had some money freed up they annabel Sanchez who threw a gem seventy two thirds hitless innings Enga- one so when you have one player that makes so much money you're allowed to now spread it out among the rest of the players and these are the guys that are helping the nationals make deep into the playoffs okay helping to make a deep run is it going to end today we'll give me a prediction for tonight's game just the way that it's going and now that you have Corbett on the mound well rested I just don't see how the cardinals win a game now jat meanwhile let's talk about a game coming up on Sunday it will certainly have a lot of implications it is a NFC showdown that will play a decisive role in determining the eventual champion of the east the Eagles and Cowboys Dallas yesterday truly coach Doug Peterson made some comments on the radio shore to catch some ears in the Dallas Locker Room listen to what he said planning that he would say that and we had a lengthy conversation earlier here about Jason Garrett's overall job security and what might be at stake and whether the cowboys will take umbrage to what we heard Doug Peterson say but something else I wanted to bring up and you mentioned this in our meeting this morning Markus is just that these teams are both three and three they've both lost games they should have one and yet look at the difference in the way the two coaches are thought first of all phillies just removed off a super bowl in the context of what we think of recent history this idea that he can't lift them beyond the New York jets on Sunday right when you talk about giving him that much money and putting them in that particular situation so your usage of the word lift is perfect right I went home yesterday afternoon in the show and I said Dane Sunday with DAX moment like Sunday what's his moment to go on the road play without his left tackle play without is number one receiver played without his number two receiver in lift his team in many ways eh in many ways and again we've talked about the officials we watched rogers do it last night right like Rogers is playing without his top three receivers with devante.

Astros meet Yankees in ALCS

"Astros escape the division around last night beating the race six to one they advance to the AL to face the New York Yankees and man Jose Altuve was a big reason why finish the series with three home runs nick this is the matchup that we all wanted the astros in the Yankees would you WanNa see here I'm so excited for this this is what the entire baseball all season was leading up to shout out by the way Jose Altuve who last night became the all time major league leader for postseason home runs by a second baseman you think about that Jose Altuve as ruined he's got another decade playing baseball out of became the all time leader in postseason run for a second baseman this is the best team -ASEBALL the Houston Astros against the best lineup in baseball Chris's New York Yankees I'm so glad Garrett Cole pitch that Jimmy did last night eight eight innings to hit escape one home run and that was it because it sets this matchup that'd be waiting for all you it is a classic match I'm looking forward to it we got our stage manager Joe like Yeah Brigham Nationals mind having to raise it should be a great great series I hope it doesn't take something away from the world series because what's happening on the other side but this should be great grey serious yeah race had a great series but it's nice to see the astros playing the Yankees which is what here fan of the game this is what you want the Astros top three pitchers ninety six million this year the raise as a team sixty four million this so the fact that even guy at five on Astros I think we're hold of the

"Line he thinks I can on a moving train I didn't have to go through training camp I have to deal with the nonsense and I have a chance to another super bowl every one of us doesn't look like he's ready to come back but that's another issue I wouldn't want to cover the most important things as you said if the Patriots of twelve and one thirteen one hello they're winning they don't they don't need grog they don't committed oh so he's a stepping so you're telling me any player can just step ball off the street and is run any game right now he's good you know I came over I would like to see John Caspian Gainesville at some point during this kind of well so we'll see anyway Robert Kraft clearly and Cole would not need much more than that he had to go on all night long it's astros four one eric sogard had hit a home run and then cold settles in that is Joey Wendell. like I said we were tested and we responded well we had to hit in the face twice so I like the way that we answered the bell one of the things I love about this team is the the moments never too big really rest of this postseason but it does come through Houston this next series we got a big one ahead so again Houston in the AFC for the third straight year one shy of their total over the I fifty five seasons as a franchise they take on the Yankees it's the fifth ever elsie S. between teams that won one hundred Games Astros won the head to head season series between these teams four games to three so that should be a classic in Timmy Kirk Chanel WanNa talk to you first of all Morning and thanks again before we get to that series it let's talk about Garrett Cole many may not know he is an impending free agent and so not only did he pitches team into the last night but he they've made himself a whole bunch of money with his performance well yes he's going to make an enormous amount of money in free agency he's twenty nine years old he'll be coming off a historic season and the teams that are GonNa want him are big market clubs for instance I went to Ucla Southern California guys the angels who are trying to become relevant again you have to think you're gonNA make a big run their the dodgers who have won the world series since one thousand nine hundred eighty eight and finished on a very bad note this year and they have so much money maybe they make a run at him and of course the Yankees have been waiting for that perfect picture mhm along and they've saved their money so well the Yankees have to be included in this and again it's a historic season greedy devoy Hembo sent a note out the this morning that Garrett Cole has a chance to strike out four hundred guys this year combining the regular season and the postseason Sandy Colfax nineteen sixty five Randy Johnson two thousand one are the only pitchers to have four hundred strikeouts at the season he has a shot at that that's extraordinary perspective before he will get to that he and his teammates will take on the Yankees and so this is the that we've all sort of seen coming and wanted to get and it begins tomorrow night in Houston how do you see laying out well I think it's going seven games I think it's going to be one of the Great LCS is we've ever seen these are two elite teams on every level astros do not have a weakness the Yankees have have not played any better this year than they are right now they completely dismantled a really good Kamini Soda Team I still like the Astros and seven because of the strength of that starting pitching and that lineup is so good also but I think we're in for an epic series here and I would be really surprised if it didn't go seven games yeah timmy you and I grew up in a time where he just looked at the team starting pitchers you said you got the you guys the Astros have they felt almost unbeatable sport has changed so much we'll see if the Yankees in their bullpen can do it thank you have a wonderful weekend enjoy the Games we'll see you next week meanwhile I go back to the NFL here and it's a showdown Sunday with the chiefs hosting the Texans and two of the League's Best Young quarterbacks facing Patrick Mahomes into Shawn Watson the top two quarterbacks total QB on since entering the League against teams with winning records mahomes is throwing for three hundred and sixty six yards a game this year that would be an NFL record his defense though or Houston's defense I should say ranked twenty fifth in passing yards allowed per game Texans on the flipside enter this game having won their last five on the road against EMC opponents that is the longest streak in franchise history so something's got to give back to these two guys both have been among the best at improvising when things break down according to one FM next Gen stats they first and second in passing yards and touchdowns when taking at least five seconds to release the football so I did the thing earlier this morning on these two guys both twenty four years old they were drafted to piss apart they were born three days apart they are in my view the future of the NFL but I'll give you all the credit in the world you sat here last week I laughed at you when you said the colts are going to beat Patrick Mahomes and the chiefs and what did you see there and what are you seeing right now the teams could do defensively to stop the seemingly unstoppable Patrick Mahomes one you have to have the corners colts have the corners that can run and run for playing tight pressman coverage all game long because they're going to get a few throws but you're going to be able to to solve the to stop them slow them dash yet the two corners the two safeties tops showing double high safety which is does Patrick Mahomes okay I can try to catch the on this corner out now the big key was the pass rush if you look at the way Justin Houston and Kemoko terrain were pass rushing window enclosed at that circle quarterbacks of that he could not get that ball out or scramble so now you change it up again to get all day long it's pressman uncovered and this is what Mahomes sees he sees developing routes we're tight man coverage and then a robber at the linebacker position which allows the secondary to play tight and then the defensive ends are able to rush a little bit differently when you can play that type man coverage so this is not going to be I'm stopping Patrick Mahomes it's I'm slowing down now living them only seventeen points a game so that you can get twenty points a game against that terrible Kansas City defense a really interesting that game that game plan started with the Detroit Ryan's Matt Patricia say they didn't win the game but they did slowdown mahomes where did he trained under Bill Belichick Defensive Coordinator for the Houston Texans Romeo oh where did he train bill belcher they're going to so they similar and how much of a factor is mahomes ankle we saw last weekend he's he's he's going to play he probably will not be at his athletic best. How much of effect is that it's not just that that's huge right because if we're splitting hairs and we're picking a quarterback Deshaun Watson is a little better pocket is incredible when he's off schedule but he's also not only is he hurt tyreek Hill is hurt Sammy Watkins hurt their left tackles out Kareem Hunt on I mean he's working with lesser cast then Watson has Watson's got fuller he's got hoppy Andre Hopkins Yeah they've got they've got plenty of weapons and right now he's mahomes plans leading the Texans to win this game well the kicker is Brian cushing and their strength staff a fuller involved right there he had a massive game majority of his big plays off of the play action six for six from Watson right there fourteen yards actor that I'm finding Houston is playing better sneaking big news they're giving him a little bit more protection if they do right because I was always the big got sixty times exactly it was a combination of Shawn Watson holding the ball too long not protection from the offensive line now he's now the offensive lines protecting the Shawn Watson Dangerous I better let me get up and go around the NFL first bengals wide receiver AJ green final year of his deal while he worked his way back from injury head coach. "I lots of fun being had in here this morning and lots more to come as we begin another hour of get up coming to you as always live from the seaport district seventeen were brought to you by chase this is the loop and here comes that menu we're GONNA get up with the Patriots so here's the deal they won they covered their unbeaten the why so many questions we'll ask an answer them right off the top plus if you think it's impossible to stop Patrick mahomes Jonathan Vilma says think again he's got the recipe member he told you the colts would beat them last week and then the matchup is set to one for the ages who has the edge in the eight L. C. S. TV cartoon makes pick in this hour of get up which starts right now and it begins with the beginning a week six in the NFL patriots giant Tom Brady getting set to try and keep the pats the only unbeaten and AFC again Daniel Jones claim without so many of his best weapons on the road last night under two minutes to go scoreless not anymore pats blocked the plot and they take it in for the score this is what the through through they're going to put pressure on special teams and chase one of its fields this does a great job taking it to pay dirt tap I shouldn't say the Patriots blocked it because it actually hit nate stupar but one way or another it's a seven nothing lead for Tom Brady under ten minutes ago in the second now Daniel Jones he'd already thrown one pick and he needs to get this ball out of his hands more quickly attack buying time New England Russia basely gets there you have to throw it away young man you'd sit on the arm one of Baltimore sections in the game it's unfortunate here because he played pretty wild it leads to another New England touchdown so it's fourteen nothing but on the next giants possession you know they get back with all the guys they've lost they get golden age and he's going to the house what a throw thereby Daniel Jones puts it right on his great catch by golden say he was the only guy making any points last night for Danny Dan what's fourteen seven and then hold on the much-maligned the giants defense gets into the action we're GONNA hit Brady and they're gonNA take it in one of the rare times Tom Brady held onto the ball too long coming right behind him make that play and then of course this is what gives the giants life you can get points to outside of the Danny Dunn throws you got a chance to win that's marcus golden taking it to the house and Bill Belichick can't believe it we're tied at fourteen and then injury added to insult on the play watch the left knee of Josh Gordon's he tries to make the tackle and that thing gets twisted up underneath him he would not return to the game we're still waiting for an update Howard. Tom Brady respond usually pretty well two minutes ago in the half first and ten year midfield that's Brady the Jacoby Myers who he's throwing a guys no one's ever heard St Patrick's Patriots on the move later in the drive thirty six seconds to go brady takes it in and to the Pats were up twenty one fourteen after pretty interesting I ap Mid Fourth Quarter still twenty one fourteen giants and a third of the twenty six and here comes another defense play you can't do a congrats on the path into ball out carrying turnovers and creating score with these turnovers the reason the best defense in the League right now is because of the turnover for touchdown Kyle Van Noy it's reviewed and it's ruled a touchdown the Patriots Defense has scored off touchdowns this year than the dolphins and jets offenses combined after diet three and out by the way they punted on fourth and two with seven minutes left and a fourteen point game braiding finds Julian Edelman that's a great catch Brady winds up taking it himself so he on the night go thirty one one three thirty four two rushing touchdowns and the Patriots remain unbeaten thirty five fourteen happy we won happy to get the six now so yeah we we just grind it out pretty good. What's your assessment of where you guys are often right now do you think it's been good enough we'll see or six also try to get a lengthy pause a long pause that Tom had as he was trying to consider the answer to that question it's the first time he's won a game at home without throwing touchdown since week one of two thousand eight against the chiefs and candidly that was the game that they got knocked out with a knee that he cost him the season that year he's now wrong zero touchdowns in two of his last three games so the conversation we've been here this morning and we talked about Daniel Jones and we've talked about a Brady and the Patriots offense which has been struggling to some degree and we work on Jonathan's microphone we'll talk over here for a minute about the Patriots defense because in the NFL right now the defense is that get a lot of attention to the ones the buffalo and in Chicago but if this Patriots Defense Bobby actually the best in Footba statistically they are the best and when you factor in the defensive efficiency rating which greeny that takes into account that they've played terrible offenses so far there's still the best and his starts outside we're Stephen Gilmore he's the best record in the NFL allows them to do some different things and I kind of liken this back a little bit to the Patriots of the two thousands of their title on the perimeter a hall of Famer and then they had ten other guys out there to do what what bill belichick ask them to do their job to get pressure on the quarterback they stopped the running game and when you turn the football over like that you're gonNA put Tom Brady and maybe an offense that struggling a little bit in a good situation goose score the football terrell reverse who knows a thing or two about great corners tweeted last night watching the game Gilmore by far the the best corner in the game right now Hashtag shutdown Hashtag number one as you through a quarterback size mark watch that Patriot defense play what are you seeing there tough I wouldn't wanNA throw against Steve Steven Gilmore one especially with the tight end on him that was a bad match up and Daniel Jones is GONNA learn from that bad decision but this is an electric wants these guys are really supporting that team and as you guys know as players there's three phases offense defense and special teams the offense is a little bit down right now and you see Tommy's frustrated because he has set a high bar in such a high standard he's pissed he's not okay with just winning you wants to win the right way he wants to score points and wants to help this team and it's hard for them right now because he's just he's shorthanded but the rest of the team is picking up defense and special teams and that's okay through this stretch but they've got to get better I want to emphasize turnovers we're we're watching highlights of the turnovers that is the single most important step outside of points against for any defensive I remember my championship run Super Bowl championship run all we cared about was turnovers getting takeaways giving points on the board I don't care if you have five hundred yards if we have five turnovers in that game we're winning period it feels to me like the way the game is played weights officiated the way the rules are put together the defenses are not no matter how good you are you're not just gonNA stop offense as cold so to her point can you may gain changing kind of plays and that is turnovers leading points in that not only did they tape one into the house last night and obviously the special teams they also had a pick up set up a short old so they're doing the things that the great defensive this Eric and they do it not just with great players like I said I mean it's it's the fact they play Smart Defense Divas of guys you wash Phil you see the beginning the snapshot at the snap is not what you see after the ball is snapped a quarterback had changes dramatically and that's one who is giving young quarterback so much trouble third disguised? I'm Mark Sanchez Days It's worth pointing out for those who may not remember or be aware that while they have won all these champions through the greatest quarterback of all time bill belichick made his mark as a great defensive coordinator that what he was under bill parcells before he became what he is now so he knows a thing about defense to and right now that defense has been really good now the question is do they have enough weapons on the offense maybe the answer will come in the form of that guy you saw rob Gronkowski making his debut as an analyst on Fox last night but patriots owner Robert Kraft on the pre-game on NFL network had this to say have you guys had conversations about him maybe stop them back in the game and we all love Gronk and then the bottom line is he hasn't put his retirement papers in so we can follow I think everyone had that reaction wall hasn't act elite technically filed his retirement papers is he coming back I think eventually comes back because I think when he gets a call from Tom in the pants are ten in one or twelve and one twelve just can't he realistically week Nine Week Ten week whatever just step right in and be gronk it's going to be difficult I'm going to say yes because I really wanted to happen an and I just want to see that text like hey bro come back from Tom Com catch ten more towel and I it's not happening it could not happen could of Gronk need him to win the good enough he can't hurt because if you bring you now take away roster spot of someone who has been contributing you got to get this guy acclimated how many games has you know closing the door on that much more on this football Friday as we go but there was another game of enormous consequence last night and it went about the way you might have expected raise Stroz for all the marbles the Yankees are waiting to Winter Garrett Cole Against Tyler Glasnost and Glasnost would later say I looked at the film and I realized I was tipping might pitches and Erdem in the first inning with runners at the corners Jose Altuve as sending one to write George Springer scores Astros were up one nothing next batter Alex Bregman second verse pretty much same as the I write back to the gap in right center that one off a curveball Michael Brantley will score altoona on his horse he comes around three nothing astros that we take a four nothing lead after one facing he goes down the next batter is Kevin here Meyer that's eighty eight mile an hour change colours group fourth inning facing Travis d'arno swinging so back to the play so guard back to the bench I wasn't a dirt on a slider sixth-inning G. Man Choi that's ninety eight miles an hour on the fastball aged gats through six to the eighth inning we go coal approaching one hundred pitches but still throwing ninety eight Landau goes down that will be for coal as he will get here myron occurred vault eight innings to hits ten strikeouts astros tack onto more and they advance six one the final they play the Yankees starting tomorrow night it was a dogfight for five games really You know we finish it awesome unbelievable defense that's a really clutch hitting so you know it's good way of finding a way to to be at our beds when we need it the most we're gonNA need more moments like that for the.
