"And watching Children at the same time. I'm trying to have a meeting. I am pretty much dressed from the book from the mid line up, so we have all these disembodied experiences. And people talk about exhaustion for a reason. Um, because even the phone is much better. You know where we actually are in synchronized time and not in a delay constantly and Andi. We're not trying to look at people with whom we actually never make eye contact, So I think it's a very different reality for some of us. Home. We managed. We are We have a separate room. We can go. Some people even get dressed in the morning as if they were going to work, And they try to really maintain the routines, the rituals and the boundaries, which are the three essential elements that create structure, But for many of us, it is way more chaotic and draining. That's the reality at this moment of working as we like to call from home or zoom life. It's funny. You know, the other thing that I've been thinking about is you talked about how work has changed and how it's become more part of our identity and community. And this The sense of belonging at work. It's not a job. It's it's who you are. And I wonder, you know, are are Are you hearing from? I'll give an example. Like Airbnb, a company that you know, recruited people based on identity. You're part of the team, the free snacks, the parties and then they had to let go of Ah, a high percentage of their workforce. And you think? Well, wait. I thought we were a family at work. And now that's over. It's work was not just what I do but who I am. Yes. And when I lose my job, I lose a fundamental part of my identity. I thought I mattered. Because of the younger generation has been raised with a deep sense that they are important in that matter, and I can totally dispensable. And nobody actually really feels responsible for making sure that I will have something to eat. I think what a pandemic does. For work and for personal is it rearranges your priorities It makes you know a pandemic is an accelerator. Every disaster is an accelerator of relationships. It's a it's an accelerator because It brings mortality to the forefront or loss. Loss of jobs went and at that moment you basically say, what am I waiting for? I'm going to go do what's really important. So I actually think that there's going to be a burst of creativity as well where people are going to say if I can't do the traditional route, and I went and I studied something, and I prepared myself for I worked very hard, and I hope that would climb the The mattress and all of that, if, if the if the promise of the traditional system doesn't hold Then I can go and try something completely different..

So the chain smokers if you don't know are internationally famous musical duo to talk show that I'm sure you've heard of and not even a fan but I play one or two there's always yes exactly and I mean I was just going to joke like this was such an opportunity for rolling funds like a magic being LP, in the chain smokers fund. I can't do that but I just I really so many rolling fund opportunities with all these celebrity intersections with the it is being of structure the traditional investment vehicle it's being managed by two GP's who have the operational experience go live. Is. Rolling funds just Patriot fan for rich people that what I'm hearing. From. Rolling Stones to rolling funds. Title sold on Penguin and twenty. Twenty. Three. I'm not gonNA read it. I WANNA. Skip it. More more in our traditional wheelhouse though tear off the kind of the main news of the day is the new fund and Danny I'm sure you do know about this one unlike the chain smokers I, I have heard locks gridlock officially announce it's fun sixteen. This week's one billion dollars to another megaphone this year it's actually strong year for megaphones although I have a failure a lot of these funds were kind of already in motion precursor virus into the locking in those numbers they announced this week and they have a bunch of upcoming views. We've obviously talked a lot about including AIRBNB. So Kudos to them. They should chat to us when they announced news. Yeah. They gave it to Bloomberg instead of telling US which we're not salty about at all the upcoming I believe they were in both airbnb forthcoming and logic now public and doing well. So shout out to their LP's who now have fractionally more money than they did before and we're going to skip the Kanye West thing because I'm sure gained his WHO Connie West is. We can move right along to what is.

"Lease under Airbnb for my house. They were from Pennsylvania and Basically They were asked to provide payment in cash. In the amount of about $12,000 Bono says he fired HCM property management and is now suing for breach of contract. He's also suing the woman whose name is on the lease for unpaid rent and has filed all legal documents to get her out. I was under the impression that she was truly impacted by cove. It And you know the financial hardship come to find out that my house was a tool to make money, You know, says he's been furloughed during this pandemic, but he still has to come up with a way to pay the mortgage. Now, the least specifically, states subletting is not allowed. I did speak to misty Autumn on the phone today and asked her about that. But she refused to answer any questions, saying this is a matter for attorneys to deal with. I'll tell you this. If you use your vacant home or a vacant property that you own right now as a rental, and you rent it out to someone while the state of California has a moratorium on evictions that goes through the first of the year, you're crazy. Because the person could literally sign the lease. Give you the first and last month's rent and say, Thanks. You'll never be getting another check for me again. And you won't be hearing from me unless I need you to fix something. Bye Bye. Do you remember the story in Redlands? What? Five years ago, people rented an Airbnb for 30 days and then declared squatter's rights and stayed there for six months. Oh, yes. That's gonna happen all over the state of California. And if you think the moratorium on evictions is going to just evaporate on January the first you're wrong. Because you watch what happens when they debate extending it. It's going to become a social justice issue. It's gonna become all about racism and let's stick it to the landlords like they do in the state of California for everything else. "Their not having that conversation. And yet they really should. Because one of two things are gonNA happen here either spending less time. Being productive against the things that are actually moving those metrics forward. Right. So you're you're killing it right there or now your people have to put in an extra how many hours a week in order to make up with the fact that they're just. Have to send him book reports about in a where they are what they're doing. A bunch of people feel good. and. Again I. Don't say that I think kind abilities crucial. I don't think it's unimportant but. Getting people to play for one another in doing it in a way that's reasonable in doing it where things are transparent and. You're spending as much time. Actually playing the game if you will as opposed to just counting your poker chips. I think you're gonNA feral up her so. We appreciate you the audience and we hope that we're giving you something of value. UPDATE US on calendar time period with the book if you if you're able to. My hope it could be this week or early next week our I would imagine I should be. Receiving the design of the Interior. Page. And some options around what those pages will look like if we're from typeface to actually in addition to figures and things that I'm going to have in Lawson poll quotes that will run throughout the book. She's kind of things that we WANNA highlight. With that. So get some design choices on that in ending on. What form the command what that looks like maybe a fun thing to post on link to get people to pick which one do you like airbnb Abeer see whatever it is I'm getting I'm also going to be getting some. Cover designs those maybe just a little after I think these are gonNA come at the same time as the interior pitches odds but. Cover design is is coming fast as well..

"About you know where data know where you're gonNA get these supplies. In your fridge where you get the toilet paper all this to more creative things about. Okay. Well, how do I? How do I thrive from here given that my shop is closed or my? Employment has ended you like what do I do now and it's it's forcing a creativity. It's forcing the brain to rethink things in a way that is actually despite all the lousy stuff really good for the brain to to build new bridges. I can hear people in the comments screaming about. Not. Being heard not being understood. You don't know what they're going through. What you say to that What I say is actually do here's you I hear all the crappy stuff about what's going on and let's all agree on that and put that over here and I'm saying that's this extra bit. That is I mean everything has a silver lining and that's that's the one to to this. Just as an example, I mean from the first moments of lockdown I started seeing the stuff where people were using their banks of Three D. printers to print. Or playing Bingo across the apartment complex in these apartments where everyone's in their own apartment. But shouting what's going on across the other thing and everyone's having fun community or there's a friend of mine who plays tennis and suddenly everything all the tennis courts got shut down and so she started calling people. On, airbnb wealthy people who have a tennis court on their property and say, Hey, can I just airbnb or tennis court for an hour? But it's just like it's really creative. It's so smart to. Do models for everything going on and. So despite all the lousy stuff which we all agree on. it's it's. It's the one thing that's coming out of it is that that part of it is good for your brain because it's forcing you to rethink deep parts of your internal model. What is up impact?
