"Handed him the ball of the point guard for the Dallas Mavericks. I think he's immoral. He can do more than trae young. And obviously more than Zaire waves design is GONNA be impactful. He's GONNA box office no question about it. But Luca already is that as well And he's an emerging superstar in this league already averaging over twenty eight points per game. I would say it's Luke. I agree with Luca mainly for the same reason I think will eventually be the face of the League in his age. There's more upside there athletically. Because his is not as polished. And he's already this good but Lucas game is already polished. You could actually make an argument. I think you'd lose it but he's in the. Mvp Conversation this year at the Mavericks had a better record. Porzingis was fully recovered. He might win the he could win the MVP like this year on a different team. So yeah I think it's Luca Max you don't have to make the argument. It's a fact he was in. Mvp Conversation this year. He was before he got injured. He was in the conversation. And I think having KRISTAPS Porzingis really helped his team catapult where they are athletically obviously Brandon Ingram. Could be there with Ziya Williams said but you still want to see that more consistently from off and then portray young. You don't know who is running. Mate is right now potentially Jonathan Collins. What if you have porzingus and the way team is made up and bill? They add another piece or two. We'll be talking about Luca actually winning. Mvp before anybody else. I liked trae. Young guys is not in the category of Luca and Zion. There's a difference between an all-star Afford Star caliber player and an MVP level player. A five star leukotrienes five star right now. Zion's hi four already and trays is an all star caliber player. I agree I agree. We have. We have a minute. We asked on twitter who will take the NBA Torch from Lebron when he retires. These answers might surprise you. Fifty six percent are saying yawning nineteen percent. Go to Kevin Durant and Zion in Steph curry with six percent. Stephen Are you surprised by a landslide? Wow no I'm not. I'm not surprised at all because I think they're just thinking basketball. They're not thinking off the court as well the kind of stuff that I brought into the equation because when you grabbed torch from the brawn James. I don't think you're just talking about basketball if you're talking about basketball. I'm not surprised at all that John is considering how how young he is and how dominant he is already. Yeah he's like John. This is a point center but when you squint he can look like a wing player so he might move merchandise and even though he is foreign born yes this great personality and everyone loves them and they can recognize. You'RE GONNA be the best player the game soon if he's not already. I don't know if you've been watching tick tock. My Man Janas is starting to build up this reputation. He is he's everywhere right now. Just trying to tell you it's coming. And nobody says he's going to be in that market in Milwaukee forever knows tag tag account yet. I'm waiting for the right. Post-somalia I'm waiting for Stephania. Maximum Tick Tock. Though we got to build up describes Hell No. You won't my daughter. You Ain't Dan tick away. You'RE GONNA get the baby means. We already got the baby Stephen a Smith. That's good enough and good enough so good all right. I hope everybody has a wonderful weekend. Jay Thank you for being with us. Of course we will be back on Monday again. Thank you to all those essential workers. We so appreciate you. John Mirant is on sportscenter next. Checkout John Moran coming up in a moment I everyone have a good weekend. April nineteenth on your calendar for sure bleacher report recently ranked the greatest trails in NBA history topping the list of course Jordan Pippen and Toni Kukoc. The trio played together during the second full three P. team. So this got us thinking about the Bulls three petes as a team and we bring back someone who knows what it's like to play in Chicago one Jay Williams back here with us. Stephen a you are up here. I who was the better? Three peat bowls team was at the first or the second to me. It was the first. It was the first because it was Jordan at his best. In this crime and Scottie. Pippen really elevated. They were useful and their defensive. Tenacity was extraordinary. Could pull it. They could take a press. You full court anytime. They wanted to wreak absolute positive. Avid upon you as they did against the Lakers as they did against the Portland Trailblazers as they did against the Phoenix Suns. You got to remember those teams. They were going up against yes. You were going up against magic. And it wasn't what were the Kareem and all of those guys The first row but they ultimately went through the Pistons in order to get there the second go round of Paula. Trevelise people keep forgetting how good they were. They had drexler. They had to report in. These boys So you can ignore that and Phoenix. Team were Barclay. Yes you have Barkley but Kevin Johnson really really bold Dan. Molly was a big time. Do coming off the bench as well and so when you looked at the Phoenix squad as well. I just think that I take into account all of those things in who they went against win. The Knicks Pat Riley. Brought bad boy basketball to the garden and they were going up against New York. Knicks Reggie Miller and the Indiana Pacers words. We're trying to ascend as well. The list goes on and on. I think the first team because of its youth and it's defensive tenacity and the three headed monster they had At say a monster. But they had three headed guys afforded guys you you could distribute eighteen to twenty thousand with car right and all of those boys. I just think from a complete package. The first three B team was a little bit better because Jordan and pippen when the problems of the career and they were better. I actually think pippen was in his prime. The second go round but Jordan was absolutely in his prime the first go round. That's the greatest player ever and I understand why you would like that first. Three peat because Jordan was in his prime. Let's not forget the second three peat Jordan was shooter now from three. He was hitting forty percent thirty seven percent in different seasons from three. He wasn't doing that the first time around so he added element to his game. But beyond that Stephen. There are two reasons why the second three peat was the better full team. Even if it's best player wasn't quite as good by the way the second three Jordan is still clearly better than anyone else. Whoever lift so really. We'll compare them to himself even better the first time. But you have to understand like I resent this thing where the big three and you mentioned. Kuku coach was an excellent player. The Big Three was Jordan Pippen and Dennis Rodman Hall of Famer Arguably Greatest Defensive Player of all time really strong argument greatest defensive player since Bill Russell meaning of the modern era. You know who is? Competition is well. One OF THEM IS SCOTTY. Pippin on the same team you had. You could argue that. The three greatest defensive players at their positions Jordan Pippen Robin were all on the same team. Robin grabbing Seventeen Board gave defending small forward power forward center at elite levels by the way it was amazing. Also Ron Harper people. Forget Ron guys like that. Steve Kerr shooting fifty two percent from three. Then look at then not to mention coach. Now look at the competition. They played they swept the shackles. Penny magic sixty team swept of and then. They had to play a supersonic steam in the finals. That one sixty four games. They played a Utah Jazz team in consecutive finals. After that that has won sixty plus games even on the way to the finals. They were getting stiff. Competition from the Tim. Hardaway Alonzo Mourning Heat. But when you look at the amount of talent on the second three peat which is why they won seventy two games one your greatest team of all time plus the competition that they beat which is easily forgettable because those guys didn't win championships but if not for the Bulls. Don't forget that jazz team unseeded was the jazz were the signs on the rockets. Who went back to back in Jordan's absence the second? Three people's is the greatest dynasty and greatest team of all time. Max I be at me agree with you. It's the second team. People forget that Toni Kukoc his nickname was the magic Johnson of Europe when multiple. Mvp's in Europe. Before he came.

"Aka Kevin Obama. No Concert Kevin O.. Conflict Kevin Candy Land Aka Kevin Opinionated Kevin O.. Climber I marquess Verna. What's going on with Friday? Well we had a very interesting night last night because the TNT games were getting started. They announced the all-star starters for both of the conferences In the Western Conference. I think that everybody everybody could have filled out there. West conference starters and it would have been virtually unanimous amongst media and for the most part the fans the eastern conference was is going to be interesting because you knew that there will be some players that got more of the fan votes most intently. Kyrie irving right. We knew that Kyri sorry we probably of course so yeah Taco fall but who would end up being the starters in that game and it turned turned out that there were two surprises one of which was Pascal Siaka. But we've talked about a lot on the show this year. Who has certainly taken even another leap in his game and was clearly shocked and elated to be named an all-star starter and trae young where the question was he is on the worst team in the league? What level of reward will he get? Well he got the highest which is being able to be a starter in the game and that was by virtue. Uh of you know carry irving who was the fan rank. What would have been one of the starters and yet the player rank and the media rank? Frank both had him at six. And so that's how trey got bumped up but trae young and Pascal Stockham all-star starters what do you think I don't minded I'm. I'm a little bit surprised that trey ended up winning the vote But but then again I should it be because the fans had him number one media number two. I expected Ben Simmons to get the vote because of how stellar. He's been on the defensive end of the floor this year but I guess with Trae and with NBA The viewers in general. Whether you're a critic whether you media whatever whether you're a fan people tend to favor offense trae in his second season has been one of the most exciting players to watch on the offensive end of floor in the League so in that way I'm not too surprised But I but I am in the sense that like maybe Ben Simmons putting putting a better numbers than a better team. I thought he would get the edge. The other one to me is Jimmy Butler because Jimmy Butler look you. You know. I've been on this for years. I think he's the most underrated player in the NBA. I think he is a bonafide superstar. That does not get the superstar label. He makes every team he plays on better. I know he has ended poorly in places but it finally feels like he's found the right mix and surprise surprise. Is there good again. I mean look. He left the Bulls. The Bulls turned to crap. He left the timber. Wolves the timber. Wolves turned to crap and now he goes to Miami which was a midland team last year. and and Dave had one of the best records in Eastern Conference. I know there was that tricky thing of is he a forward is he a guard. I don't know how he was. Labeled you know I I know and I know that you hate the positions thing and this is a perfect example of that Jimmy Butler I know he made a mockery of the All Star game a few years ago to buy not even playing in the game that being said I thought Butler would be there. I really did either. Butler would be there as one of the starters especially given the success of Miami this year her. I don't understand why he was listed as a backcourt player right. I don't I don't understand. I mean I think positions look it helps you and me. Em fans you know talking amongst each other it helps us have conversations to categorize these players put them into groups that helps us look at centers others on the stats sheet for just guards. But when it comes to voting in today's position Louis League for All Star and all NBA. I I don't understand how it happens that somebody like for all NBA last year. What makes Lebron a forward but not a guard like Ben Simmons? What makes exc Jimmy Butler this year? A forward when he is the leading assist a leading leading player with touches possession. Time on the Miami Heat he runs that offense essentially I owners is. What makes him a frontcourt player? WH WHY is it. That isn't a Davis is listed at front as forward and center and all NBA whereas other guys who have similar Miller distribution next plane. Another big manner only as a center or only as a Ford. It's it's a screwy process in the simple way to solve. It is just get rid of positions. The teams don't look at the size of player. Today's league slot them into a position. They look at their skill and that's the role that they take on and I I hope the NBA. Okay at some point just removes positions entirely and just goes with the five best guys like. It shouldn't matter what position you are and I'll say this man People uh-huh gives a crap. Is this the All Star game and I want to look better. It is an honor. It is an honor to be able to start the All star game. It's Sonata guys. Get bonuses for it to absolutely like some guys you know one person's benefited as as another person's loss but the fact is some guys have bonuses tied to an all-star appearance not only that but with all NBA even more significant because you have the supermax implications and all that so there's financial applications for these players as well and that that's bad as well as the honor is what matters and I thought they had an interesting conversation last night. which was what would have happened? If curry is totally healthy and being the Steph curry that you know you thought he would be. I thought we were on on track to maybe have a monster career season and what happens. I thought this was an interesting debate because I don't know how it plays out if curry's there and is putting up the numbers that we think he would have if he wouldn't have gotten hurt this year I mean really. You're not gonNa have either Luca or James Harden and as a starter like seems implausible. But it would have been a hell of a deal if it played out if Perry had let's say carries averaging thirty four points it's seven assists right now and harder Luca would it be the starter. Wa- The easy. The easy option here is like coli gets bumped off all right. I you know I missed you. Know he's load managed. She's he's a part time player right now during the regular season which. I wouldn't have advocate. But it won't happen as of the silly positions and and like I I don't really care for all side don't care is an exhibition game at matters to an extent because of bonuses what I care about is with all NBA. And that's where I I really. I really think it should be a conversation. Which is why? I'm glad we're talking about it. Don't fix it it does dictate you know what I mean. You look back and say they've got to even make the all star team what he's going to be all MBA and that has happened. That has happened several times where a guy did make the all star game but then he ended up being one on one of the all NBA NBA teams at the end. Part of it is because look the fans will make a mockery of it in cases you mentioned Taco Fall. There was the Caruso thing and I know the players players do day can make a super mockery of it. Look I'll tell you. Hey fans that a pretty good job fans that are really good job overall when currently while I mean come on they they're voting more for Sexual Wien that Jaylen Brown besides I know I know but like the guys who are first off though Janas wants Yakim would be three trey one Kyrie too. I know that's silly but Kemba three and in the West it was perfect. Yeah right I agree with you. I agree with you so but the players. Look the quick story I know that they can make a mockery of it years ago. I did a video with Tony Allen when he was going to. We were doing this video of him selecting his all stars row. He wouldn't give like he wasn't going to vote for anybody. Nobody that he played against all the time and so he was like voting Luke Babbitt and like all these like just guys that like. Oh Yeah you deserve or guys that he had played with in the past that he likes so it would be like Leon somebody you know I mean I love Leon. Five seen seen it be made a mockery of but you look now and it's not just just back then look Ziya Williams that got two votes these are the players okay. TACO fall got seven boats from players. Justice there's a wind blow got just winslow whose missed most of the season gotTa vote. How about this theon? Just one vote. Yeah himself uh-huh yes. All right under Kunio got six player. Votes cut a Kostas got five which he has not scored yet this season so maybe the players got confused. About what your Guy Grayson Allen got to is that true he got. So Hey Dillon Brooks at eight one. The no the best one Bobo. GotTa Wow. I didn't see that he is in this ball ball. Get a vote you yourself. Oh you're not no so that's just somebody making l.. Mockery of it interesting okay. And that's a Dang look the NBA. You know they let fans up. Fifty Percent Media twenty-five percent players twenty five percent and the players clearly make the biggest mockery of it the fans and the media take it more seriously. Even I say that but yet all those fans voted for Alex Caruso and Taco Fall to be funny. But that's just Lakers and Celtics fans. I know I like those guys are GonNa make the all Sardi. It's just for fun. You know that's right on that on that level it is so anyways the only one. What about I think that's the right choice. I think where where it was wrong was Butler should have been listed as backorder guard. Whatever it is over trae young? That's the only difference that I think I would have had if if it were position list but it's not okay. I'm cool with what happened. I think it's great. No like major disagreements. And let's say that at the very top end the players look their rankings are the rankings and they had Lebron Davis Kawai Yokich George like that was one through five. It got a little goofy. When they're you know putting Carmelo anthony ahead of Rudy Gobert or whatever ever but that's neither here nor there? What is fascinating to me is when you look at the player rank and the guys that end up a little bit higher or a little bit lower than you think? And.

"Zion's debut with the Pelicans plus ally manning is retiring so the giants in a better place with Daniel Jones and andy reader. Patrick Mahomes who benefits more more from a chief Super Bowl win. Let's call it on everybody. Welcome into I take. Thank you for hanging with US Stephen. A Smith Jay Williams Max Kellerman. I'm taking good all right. Let's get it. The number one overall Pick Zion Williamson made his much anticipated. Debut as the Pelicans closer the spurs what was a four point loss for New Orleans. Zion had twenty two points most NBA debut in Pelicans history passing a D.. In Two thousand twelve he also became the first player in NBA history with twenty points seven rebounds and four threes and under twenty minutes. Serious everything agenda except for the losing part Just the energy to crowd ball The energy of the city Bra on there was a lecture again. I'm just grateful that they did that. You had not hit four threes in a game in college. You're in the zone. I guess so when I'm just say when you're not able to move around do athletic movements for awhile. Shoot spot of Jumpers. I guess that was a result of that encouraging to see him do that. Max where you impressed by his performance overall I was blown away and let me tell you why athletically clear he clearly was not the same right. The Guy we saw in college athletically had an explosiveness. I didn't see yesterday. pertile blocks shot that we gets the rebound he puts it back in. But that wasn't Zay Dianne Williamson so then the question is what do you do when that happens. What do you do when they packed the paint and they dare you shoot like what do you go into the teeth of the defense? When you really clearly not physically all the way back to prove to guys like Stephen a Smith that you can or do you take what the defense gives you you understand the patience nations and wisdom of one year old with that kind of ability and hype proved the kind of game? He did not just that he's willing passer. He has that Lebron James Snap across the court type passing ability and he's willing passer and he has a high end high basketball. IQ How about the fact that Oh dear shoot but let me tell you what four threes in the fourth quarter of a close game means it means more than anything. You're calm under pressure. I don't even think it's about the repetition including I think the moments too big for him. He's common oh you're going to give you the shot. He didn't rush. It gathered himself. shot the ball seventeen points in eighteen minutes. Sorry twenty two points altogether seventeen consecutive points. When he came out of the game game it was a one score game if he stays in? I think they win the game. That was an awesome debut by I heard Jay Williams looking for. It's not been trying to find you. Listen I had a few doctors appointments at Mit chug myself out the hard to be. Well you can come to work every day ready to roll. Are you looking for before because let me be very. Let me be very very clear. He's he's listen. Let me explain. Let Me Explain Zion. Williamson is Columbia superstar. We all know this is what we believe. And I'm not sitting here saying that. He had a bad bad night or anything like that. That's not what we were going to hurt. Jay would look for me. We mean he was good. He won't great. Are you crazy match. You actually explain why you've got people sitting out there. Let him shoot a set shot to what have you because you WANNA keep that. Mammoth of a young man pay. I get all of that. I wasn't looking looking for that from Zion. It's nice to see but as far as I'm concerned dammit spurs look like they were playing the sometimes. It was almost like that black. This does shoot and set shots until he got hurt. The Tony got healthy. I mean that's how it looked at the top in terms of him launching a shot. I'm not judging by that. What I was looking for was his activity? His movement without the ball how healthy you all have any questions about his gate. I totally believe this guy is going to be great but when they said he was ready to doc because if you remember the initial prognosis of his injury was that he was going to be out six to eight weeks so if this were six weeks or eight weeks right and I don't know exactly. How much time has he been out now? But what I'm saying is that it was significantly longer than we had originally expected and anticipated so in light of that had he come back six to eight weeks and he looked like that that would have been different because he's been out so long total and over forty games might mindset was brother In terms of health wise. He's a hundred percent so I'm not looking for you. Know what he's going to make a set shot. I'm looking at his activity How he's moving without the ball how healthy he looks the spring in his step which I saw which I thought for a moment to moment? Yeah I was in no way. That wasn't no way judging his game because everything that I saw last night outside of the four three point is given credit for that. I mean I'm just looking for the activity. See how healthy is. That's all I was looking for. There was nothing about his game that I was concerned about. What's wrong with that Sometimes you really frustrates me so well. The first man's Miss Three and a half to four months of playing basketball right playing basketball Stephen. Even Hey basketball basketball shakes up the phone. My it's not just the things that get back it's up and down constantly. You run over three and a half miles per game for a guy weighs two hundred eighty five pounds twenty two points seven rebounds and eighteen minutes per forty eight minutes has fifty nine points and twenty rebounds. No that's you looking at it all wrong. I'm looking at the ability to play those minutes and I'm not saying I expected that. Who who say Tonio Spurs Steven Great Public One of the greatest coaches of all time? Absolutely could you. Could you confirm that. The Scott the report on the guidelines Zion Williamson. Let him play his weaknesses. Right sure how to do so. One of his weaknesses shooting so he's able to knock down shots which then opens it up the drive by the way don't on Demar Derozan who even though he's at the latter part is still one. They're freakishly most athletic talents. We've seen in the League for a while. He grabbed the rebound over our guy who seven one he may he never be in midseason born but look at him at this being his. I guess you're saying that you wanted to see was that. He's totally physically back from injury. That's fine maybe maybe I would agree with you. He has more go and J not basketball shape. Really what I'm looking for is how do you adjust to the pro game. When they do pack the paint when they dare you to shoot do rush? It is the moment to big. When do you look for the open man? He has a high basketball pressure. All I'm asking Y'all all to accept the fact that this to me is not a discussion about his basketball. I'm not questioning not questioning anything about that. What I'm saying is at the start Oughta game last night? Mark Jackson poured it out. He looked a little out of shape which was a little couple and then he said he looked a little heavy and to me he looked a little gimpy. Be What I'm talking about looking for him and for my health perspective that all I cared about. I didn't care about anything. 'cause I knew what else in quite common I did I did. I didn't say from three. I'm talking about in terms of his willingness to attack. I'm looking at a guy that for. For example he went out. He came back when he was at Duke. You're talking about golf for national championship when he went up against central Florida. What he showed up in the elite eight as well etc.? I'm looking you can get this guy and I don't have any questions about his composure. I wasn't worried about that. I'm looking at them from a health standpoint his ability to move with the basketball his activity and I know that's going to come all I'm saying is that's what I was looking for. That's all I was looking at times. I think he moved a little bit gingerly by the way Donald. Ginger Lee runs like that though Stephen. That's the way I mean a little bit heavier up top asking you asked me what would have been impressive for Stephen. A Smith on Ziya Williams his first game back after missing three even at four months does if I saw Zion like I saw in the Summer League in terms of his veracity and his willingness to attack. That's what I saw the fourth qua. I am not having a conversation the station with y'all about this guy's level of productivity. I'm talking about being in attack mode the way that I am accustomed to seeing them. That's all talking about. Who could he? The side one for thirteen. But that brother was for Roche's as hell he was gonna be ferocious you the Dan he hit four. Yeah he's in the fourth quarter. The weakest part of his game at shooting and he did that very night. Toss I twenty two all right to be looking at any time out too long. How do you judge judge someone not by what they say by what they do? We're a nation of doers. What's my Bloomberg about doing things? A middle class kid worked his way through college. College and Entrepreneur Bloomberg built a global news.

"Davis that involves that pick. You have RJ Barrett. You know, playing with Kevin Durant, and who knows what else, obviously now that's not going to be the case because Katie is not gonna play next season with that ruptured achilles. And RJ isn't a weird situation here because. I think I think he's pretty clearly going to be picked by New York but maybe shipped literally. Anyway. Her in a possible three-team deal to get Anthony Davis back in New York. Who knows if it'll go that way, but it's on the table. So whereas you know if you're Ziya Williams, and you know where you're playing next season if you're John Moran, you know what you're playing next season. Even though if those two players are off the board and your RJ Barrett. You know that you're being selected next there is no scenario under which he would not be selected next. It's really up in the air about where he's gonna play could be New York could in theory be in New Orleans, Zion. But it also could be who knows where given that the pelicans Lakers, Knicks, and Celtics. At least are all, you know, trying to find proper framework for a three team deal that could in theory, send the number three pick in the draft, our debate to almost. Anywhere. So it's an interesting place for him to be a week out of the draft. But yeah, he's going to be a top three pick and a I don't know whether he'll be great, but I do know that he'll he'll score. I can't imagine a scenario where he's not scoring in that league. We both have Darius garland going in the top six some people have him as high as four and it's interesting to me, and not, because I don't buy it or see it or believe it. But this time last year, I don't think anybody would have Darius garland in the top four, maybe not even in the top six, and then he plays five suffers a knee injury. And now he's a consensus top half of the lottery guy. That's a pretty unique situation. Isn't it thought just the same as built out, my mock I thought, here's a point guard, who had minimal play, even less than kyri when he was at Duke and Kyrie had the injury there now that didn't affect Kyrie Irving icy? His stock was really high. But garland had much less exposure. And he's a rare case where the injury. With limited playing time did not affect him. You had. Here's my thing. Not only did it almost helped him. Yeah. Negatively affect them, right, right effective. Like you can argue Darius garlic. You almost say this about nobody. Hey, where do you think this person's going to be picked right now? Ninth. Okay. What happens then if he suffers knee, injury and only place five games who you wouldn't say top five, but that is essentially what happened to garlic crazy. And he didn't work out. See what's this hasn't prohibit teams you see this in football and basketball where a player for whatever reason won't work out for a team in the team selection anyway. So garland did not work out for the Lakers doesn't mean the Lakers won't wind up with him if they wanted to keep in that fourth pick overall, he's a nice player. I like as I'm doing these mocks. I try my best to assemble the players in the best marriage of how good I think they will be as proce versus acknowledging. In referencing reference, like five or six different mocks just to check myself afterward referencing that there is certainly..

I has gone dollar one of the buckle as I Michael dog bottom line, bottom line. I never liked giant Williamson. I would rather have the classic Duke player. Somebody like Danny ferry that works in today's NBA I never liked on. I don't think he said, dole. Poss- told me long time ago, don't ever draft the best player. Get someone not the best player. I certainly not the Duke player that New York was hoping for expect. Daniel joe. And I, I didn't like Jones from Duke. I don't like Zion Williamson, but you've got the Murray state kid. John. It wasn't as people. Yeah. Kid in American his name. His name. He's kid for Murray state. That's all I know. And leather, my I they will die Jaama rant is probably solvable. Then you might be better this volumes. But is the beauty of what happened last night? And the next nine only Zion, they're not getting John. Wait a second, second. I don't work job Moran. I want the kids from Virginia guy. I spoke to gymnast at the final four. I used to go to the final four him Nancy told me Kyle guy. Virginia. Second best player overall in the draft, if he slipped on telling Jim Dolan, I'm not saying, I'm friends with Jim Dolan. He was good to my kids. Once I went out to dinner with them. I Nick fed, this is the year the NBA decides that change the percentages, and having to do the draft lottery, when laugh last year any of the year that is going to twenty five percent jets last night. It's a fourteen percent chance. But even with that being said, well, we went to break, you've got the Cavaliers out, you got the sons they're out to the days of the fourteen percent chance. Mike. And they are God and you love with the Lakers, the pelicans, the grizzlies of the next, you got fourteen percent to six percents, and then you've got to. Two percent with the Lakers, and I'll tell you Mike. You know this as well as anyone you another city better than anybody. We went to commercial break with those days remaining an average Nick Van my ever, Nick fit. I don't care what anyone tells me every knick fan thought Ziya Williamson was coming to Madison Square going in. I knew the results beforehand, I spoke to, and he told me the result. So I was the only one who knew before they weren't gonna get Zion. But I'll say this about ESPN do I need to go to commercial before the big thing. I did plenty of TV John terrible. And I come ask as I've done it all night today. Eighty five I was dead. Georgetown Villanova, Harold Jensen, if the Knicks have a chance the draft peril, Jensen, anywhere in the first round, don't pass them up. I'm telling you right now in today's NBA, Mike, you right. There's a great point by the big guy, you're right? Today's NBA Harold, Jetson AB, one of the best players the way the game. It's j three point shot. But Mike, here's the deal. I mean the Knicks been waiting for this day their entire the fans where did they attire life? And I'll get ESPN Rachel Nickell..

"For the next two hours Thomas with you here. And boy did we just have a night from Minnesota's we were going all the way up to the end of the national post game show. And then right ear started off at midnight. Thomas mart with you here again until the top of the hour at row Thomas on Twitter, and we have a lot to catch up on probably I'm being told to Shaun Tait our resident nine point nine nine a game bracket expert who was at the final four will be calling in either at twelve twenty or twelve forty. We will be working on that. And try to get him on as well to react to everything that you just saw happening in what was a career as iw crazy final four again allburn wins. Or should we all were genuine sixty three sixty two overall, burn. And then Texas Tech beats Michigan. State sixty one versus fifty five were jump into it. In case you missed it right now. Because a lot of other stuff happening around the world of sports, and we have plenty of reaction to the final four coming up including audio from Bruce Pearl audio from referees trying to break down that no calling the double dribble on the foul. We'll get into all of that. As always the number to get in on the conversation. Four zero four one zero nine two nine and we're going to jump into probably the next segment right about twelve twenty the whole deal with the double dribble that wasn't called that essentially cost allburn the game. If you didn't get to see the the game live just watching the highlights. That's what people are gonna be focused on tomorrow where there was a final ten to seven seconds of that basketball game where Jerome was coming down the court they needed they needed a bucket to be all berm. He dribbles off his own foot. Then picks it up off the ground. That's essentially a double dribble. Everyone saw its except for the refs. It seems like and then. The rest is history where they are able to get the foul to give Auburn fouls. They are now able to imbalan- Virginia, and they have a good look from the corner for from guy who misses, but then he's fouled again goes to line. One of the most clutch free throw performances we've seen in a long time when you're really ever see with a chance of the final game on the line guy goes to the line and hits all three to give the Cavaliers these sixty three sixty to win as we move along here. And in case you missed it a short segment Braves Marlins. The Braves fell to the Marlins for two two as like some closers some closer help would have been nice than it might have been the difference between a win and a loss. Akal right. Six innings. He hit two five hits four ks and only one walk. He was great through six innings in the bullpen came in and Parsons gave up a hit mentor was really really rough faced one batter but gave up a hit into runs. And then Luke Jackson came in to face the final two batters. But it was already too late as the Marlins beat the Braves for two to our own. Mike bell was tweeting on his Twitter account boy to the bullpen just looked man. It's just one of those nights, and we can. In the past couple of games with the Marlins and the cubs bullpen has better, obviously. And so people are starting to I was like maybe the bullpen will be able to figure out we had AJ mentor back everyone getting healthy. And then we have a night like tonight, we're mentors first game back one batter. Gives up the two runs to the Marlins for two two. And the Atlanta Braves do fall for two to a lot of injuries and note about the Braves as well, we'll get into these a little bit later catcher Brian McCann he slid into third base and got injured and they are putting him now on the injured list. So then his backup Tyler flowers came in. He was hit by a nasty fast ball right in his wrist and the evil for the hand fracture as reportedly come back negative, but looks like snicker article and said that Alex Jackson from Gwinnett is going to be the next catcher up, and he will be taking McCann's spot is McCain goes to the injury list. So overall a rough night at SunTrust park for the braids, they lose also lose. Is there? I really they're they're catcher their backup catcher in now. We'll pull up Alex Jackson from Gwinnett as the next man up next body to move in there. But overall again a tough night for the Braves we wanna focus on the final four. We want to focus on the Braves. But again in case you missed it today. This is completely overshadowed by the final four, but this'll be headlines tomorrow and throughout the week. Duke was posted eleven thirty pm on ESPN Duke is quote looking into a claim that Nike paid Zion. Williams's Williams's mother as part of a Nike bribe to get Zion. Williamson to go to Duke, at course, Kevin or not Kevin Michael avenue. The person who was tied with the payments, and is going to be going to jail for a very long time. He came out and said the article says Michael Evans who has been charged with tempting to extort more than twenty million dollars from Nike alleged on Twitter on Friday. Okay night that Nike paid for quote bogus services and twenty sixteen or twenty seventeen quote as part of a Nike bribe to Zion to go to Duke and a statement to multiple Saturday white said Duke would investigate the claim as compliance matter. They said, quote, we are aware of the allegation, and as an as we would with any other compliance are looking into it. Dukes boy, committed apply detail and say rules and regulations. So that's a story to watch. Well, I know we're focused on the final four, I know we're focused on the Braves and over focused on everything Lanta base. But the national news is gonna pick up on this. And if Duke did essentially pay or Nike helped pay to get Ziya Williams to go to Duke who's involved, we don't know. But that could become a national story and do could be hit with some serious. I mean, there's this serious allegations. Here yet be is not messing around in these kind of cases, especially when Michael naughty is involved. So we gotta keep an eye on that one as well. In other national news in case you missed it today. Russell Westbrook field. His third straight triple double season as the funder beat the Detroit Pistons, and so Russell Westbrook. I didn't they was one twenty three one ten and Westbrook had nineteen points, fifteen assists and eight rebounds. And that them the average of twenty two point nine points, ten point six assists and eleven point one rebounds per game. And so he becomes the first player to average a triple double in three straight seasons. And this is it's -nificant, obviously. Because Russell Westbrook. Many people like the harp on EMI's struggle shooting this year. He's getting up the reigns of Paul George. There. You go has averaged a triple double to complete this third straight season that that has happened again. If you're just joining us, Ty with you here until two M, and we are rolling right along the post game from the CBS national network and Westwood One. As they had both of the calls you here live on ninety ninety game. Allburn verse? Virginia Virginia win sixty three sixty two and then Texas Tech versus Michigan sixty one to fifty one. And so we'll be the red raiders versus the Virginia. Cavaliers a battle of teams that have never won a national championship. Texas Tech has been there once setting back in the sixties, and then Virginia has never been to a national championship. So we will have a brand new winner in the in college basketball in March madness on Monday night right now Virginia is favored but favored by a point in a half. And it's the lowest total points margin or the lowest total points overall between two teams in final or not final four in excuse me in national championship game history so expected offensive battle, and we'll break that all down coming up here in just a little bit again to Shaun Tait will be live from the final four as a little probably a little depressed because his Michigan state Spartans did fall today and really. Wasn't a good over all night for Michigan state. We'll break that down coming up in the next segment, but we are looking forward to that at about twelve forty tonight, and we're gonna roll along and till two a M local time here inside the studios, we NFL quick hits at one m a lot of news going on in the NFL and then at one twenty Phil savage. He was the the af he was I think it was the GM of the Zona hotshot was on with Chuck today and Michael earlier today, and he's gonna break down everything that happened as the af crumbled this week right before our eyes. So that'll be a very interesting replay that we're gonna be playing at one twenty as well. But of course, the pressing news, and we must get to the other side of this break Olver Virginia the foul that wasn't called. And then the foul that was I wanna get your guys reaction on the phone line. We come back four zero four seven four one zero nine nine talk to me about the games. Talking about the fouls. How we gonna fix all these fouls happening late and games that we can't seem to review. And it's costing it costs. It costs over the game will break that all down coming up here in the other side of this break Thomas at ROY Thomas on Twitter again with you and till little probably go until two AM. So go out lots of talk about here, and.

"Auburn Virginia, Texas, Tech and Michigan state. I said earlier, I think that Virginia's got the best story. Potential of anyone look Texas Tech winning first time, right? Auburn winning first time getting to the final four good storylines. Virginia, though, has the better one Virginia is the better one when it comes to closing out losing last year in the opening round a six sixteen seat to winning the national championship. If that were to play out Tom Izzo is another interesting angle though and hear me out on this. Because I was we were talking about this yesterday. Tom. There's a lot of you out there that don't pay attention to a lot of college basketball until we get to this time of year. That's totally okay. I get it. It's probably got one of the weakest regular seasons in all of sports. It just outside of just watching to watch because you like a match up you're like player or it's just the game. Deceives intriguing itself is not a lot of steak for the big time programs. You can lose a game or two, you know, in the end it just getting into the tournament. See where you are. But that being said so a lot of people did not realize the Tom Izzo is that fiery of the coach until they saw what he did Aaron Henry in this tournament. Too. Many people was a wakeup call. And if it did result in I didn't think it was a big controversy. Now. Some people say this was a huge. I don't think it it didn't feel like it was huge. It felt like it came and went rather quickly. We didn't see people outside of sports really jumping in and commenting on it. I mean, we didn't see the news people the political people jumping in and making their cases. Sometimes we've seen that in sports. Colin Kaepernick is a perfect example of that where the political spectrum the political commentators of our in our country jumped into our sports world didn't really go that far. But it did bring up a there was a conversation about whether or not in two thousand nineteen an older coach and old school coach screaming with rage at a kid is in a day of, you know, no, bullying and all of that is still appropriate. And then you saw a lot of people say, no, no, wait a minute. Wait a minute. I had a coach like that. When I was younger. I knew I knew that coach was pushing me to do something beyond what I'd even thought. I could do right. And he got a lot of people supporting him for that. Like a lot of people said listen that he didn't grabbed the kid. He didn't touch the key do anything. He just yelled at Kim pointing his finger at the kid. But that's the way he is. And as we talked about this yesterday. The players the players give it back to the they're they're a passionate group. But Izzo if Izzo wings this. I mean getting they haven't won since two thousand and he's gone to a number of final four is eighth. Final four years. You you barely remember Michigan being in it? They lost in the finals to North Carolina. They were in two thousand fifteen. We're. Duke beat Wisconsin. I believe for the national championship. So he's been to a number of final four. Come it came away with the title in two thousand seventeen clues beating the Florida Gators. But again, I go back to Virginia there. This is not. This is not the most aesthetically pleasing basketball that you're going to see from Virginia, very offensive minded kids who can score. Don't get me wrong got kids who can score but they like to grind out. Here's an Auburn team. Right. That I think would scare Tony Bennett because I think this Auburn team in the way they choose to run their offense, which is a majority of the shots that we are going to take going to be from the three point line. And so when you are trying to bog down a team defensively. If you're an Auburn team, and you could hit your outside shots, and you can hit the three then you might have to force a different strategy from Virginia that strategy. They may not be comfortable, and you might be able to win that you might be able to win the game. If you knock down your shots. There's an old saying, it's ridiculous cliche. Live by the three die by the three. And it's it's basic, but it's, but it's still very true. Auburn takes a lot of three pointers. They take a lot of three points. The only way to score. But they do take a lot in the riding a twelve game win streak, which is probably the more fascinating aspect of them coming into this tournament. They did not have an awesome year. All right. They did not have a year filled with. You know, all just a blip every now, and then I mean, they were a top they were top twenty five team. And then they disappear and then they would come back. And then you know, they they lost three in a row. They lost a couple more games. They struggle. They looked bad at times and then found something after the Kentucky game and having lost since in writing a twelve game win streak, but in order for them to beat Virginia. They're going to have to limit turnovers, and they gotta hit their outside shots the gonna play with Virginia. If they're being sloppy with the basketball, and they can't hit their three because they're not going to beat him straight up to onto when getting into the kind of tiny game Virginia wants to get into Texas Tech. I think Texas Texas got a really good shot to beat Michigan. I think Texas Tech forces there the teams that they play into a lot of mistakes. But Michigan state can beat you even if they do make mistakes. But again, the non one and done factor of this. Is it putting lipstick on a pig? I mean to use that to use an analogy. I mean, are we a we we are we trying to find things in these games that are are that are interesting as sellable aspects to the final four because the there's an absence of the best college basketball player in the game in Zion. Williamson. There was a poll that was done by the outlet. Who's the best player in college basketball Zion? One by a fifty fifty. Getting fifty eight percent of those who voted they they asked basketball staffers players etcetera etcetera of the athletes job. Iran was a runner up and Marcus Howard was runner up. But nobody was like Zion. Williamson is outlook. Bruce, Pearl's got a fun basketball team that shoots threes in Michigan state, and Tom Izzo has got a great a team that has overcome injuries. And Texas Tech is in for the first time insured Culver is a better player than you may not you may know in Virginia is this is this again, adding finding a diamond in the rough if you will. Given the Zion. Williamson isn't in this thing. And I don't want to say, yes. But I kind of feel that way. These nuggets of goodness. Yeah. You know? It's it's over there. Overdoing overplaying their hand. Now, China's guys pay attention to the NC. It's not over yet. Just because you know, we we put all our eggs in Zion. Williamson basket, the is actually not opens it over. So don't don't turn away. Just yet. Yeah. That's kind of a feeling. I'm getting just relax. We're going to watch. But Texas Tech was a was it quietly. Good basketball team. Like, I'm sorry. I don't mean to be disrespected people in Lubbock, but I don't think the nation was paying attention to your team. All year. I don't think you're just distracting glove because I don't even think Lubbock was planning on them being here. I mean, really, here's I like Michigan state was, you know, Michigan state's Michigan state, right? Whether they finish first in the big ten or second tournament play tournament playing team and Virginia was Virginia. Good enough all year to be considered one of the top teams in the country and an indefinite number one seat tech was on top of the big twelve with Kansas state all year, and I don't think anybody was paying attention to. I don't even know that. Exactly. Right. And and my cousin plays for that team. And the same thing with Auburn Auburn, and I go back. Looks Auburn finished a Lebanon seven in the SEC. That's not a good record that I'm sorry. It's not a good. That's not a good conference record. That's enough. That's enough losses in the SEC that if you are just paying attention to who's really good in college basketball, auburn's under your radar doesn't show up. They don't show up until they start making a move in the tournament in the SEC tournament. That's why I mean there was a talk about them losing in the first round and being in real trouble. Making right. And that was the point. I was gonna make with Virginia's that we knew Virginia's good. We just needed them to get out of the first round. Yeah. Once they got past the first round. There was that scare the jitters that they had again from last year. Got we cannot do this twice twice. The do. They're gonna shut us down. But once they once they got out of that they've been rolling. They've been playing really decent bass. It's not really a surprise that are there. But I mean. Yeah. For Texas Tech and Auburn. I mean, there's a reason why the first timers. Yeah. There's no real tradition. A basketball. I mean, Charles Barkley is is the biggest star Auburn has ever produced is in and he was in eighty two eighty three eighty four. Texas Tech has had no one. Yeah. I I've got to look up any any sort of who you know, who played at Texas Tech NBA superstar. No, you're not gonna find one. I don't think you'll find right, but they don't exist. Again, right again, it's we would have been all over Zion. If he was in this thing, and we would be maybe Kentucky in the same boat. But Zion definitely starting to see all those means popping up all over the place because everyone even Nancy w was guilty of throwing into design. Williamson basket. The different one of my favorite one. So far has been when they're using the joker from the dark Knight. No. Yeah. Oh Virginia's in the final four in Texas, but we can make allowances because that's March madness. But Ziya Williams is out and everyone's losing their mind losing their mind. I mean, I feel like that's what it is. I think so what are what are we going watch? There's. You know, you don't have Zion Williamson to kind of rally behind because we all know, you know, he's going to be a fantastic NBA player. I don't know if he's great. But he's going to be he's going to be good. It's going to be decent. And second. There's really no team to hate. There's no villain. That's another point. I was going to make there's no villain here. There's no team to root against there's one. It's one thing to rally around the team to root for which this doesn't have that the two the two teams. I always come to mind that, you know, people probably love to hate would be Duke and Kentucky, Duke and Kentucky. Exact. And neither of them. Are there is there is no there's no loyalist Chicago or a Butler before Butler was right? Or did just kind of makes us go. You know, I don't gotta rooting interest in this. I don't like any of the teams that are root for any of the teams. But my God, that's a cute story. I might as well route for them. Loyola Chicago was that last year right up. I don't know Michigan Villanova. You're right. And all of a sudden, you get this Loyola Chicago team. And you're like, you know, what sister Jeanne? It's fun. Don't even know what conference plan look at the small school. I'm rooting for them. Why not in Butler was that before they became double double? Presents Butler when Brad Stevens went got him in back to back finals, but that first year with Gordon Hayward and Duke, he almost beat them with that half court heave back in two thousand nine or two thousand ten. Half-court almost beat Duke. That was another team. We kind of we kinda went oh Butler. How cool is that the team from Indianapolis? There is none of that here..

"He's an NFL writer, and there's always something NFL related going on rather. There's a tournament whether there's hockey with Zambia, the NFL's, always cooking something, and we got possible rules changes John, but a lot of competition committee meetings this week, and it looks like they want to get something moving on instant replay possible overtime rules. What's been the latest? Yeah. We've got the owners meetings coming up March twenty four twenty seven and that's where they vote on these roles. Twenty four owners have to VO I wrote a pass it. I think the most interesting one is probably instant replay. There's a few of them on the board. The Redskins have one that would have fixed the whole in New Orleans. That's one where a coach would be allowed to challenge a non called penalty. And basically say, hey, Mr. official, I think that guy pats interfered my players so can we review that and get the alley called? So that is a proposal on the board that could pass, but probably won't. But then you also have a couple of instant replay changes that are being proposed by the competition committee, and those are usually ones have a better chance to pass and some of those on the board or just reviewing plays that made you weren't reviewable before a couple of those roughing the passer unnecessary roughness are a couple of those that might be review -able starting next season. If the owners pass that John one of the more fun things that is being proposed is a different way to do the onside kick onside kick recoveries way down since they changed the kickoff rules a year ago. So the Broncos have proposed that teams could one time in the fourth quarter attempt to convert a fourth and fifteen play instead of trying an onside kick what is it realistic chance that something like that gets passed? Well, first of all I love this proposal. I feel like you have to three of us were just sitting in a bar trying to come up with NFL. This would be one that we come up with like, hey, guys, forget the onside kick. And the thing is has hasn't been working. They change your off last year. So guys can't get a running start on kickoffs. Which makes it almost impossible to recover. Onside kick in the Broncos were like, hey, let's face the thing up. The lines of American football has a similar thing where you can for a fourth and fifteen in the fourth quarter. You get to keep possession of the ball instead of trying this onside kick, and the thing is I think Judy Batista from NFL media wrote an interesting thing that the competition committee actually likes this idea. So the NFL owners usually don't move forward when you're talking about dramatic wool changes. But if the competition committee is on board with it least has a chance to pass. So absolutely could be one of the most dramatic rule changes. We see that has passed the NFL I in the past years, John breach. CBS sports NFL writer joining us on ESPN radio. Joe over his gave nights all here on game night. So that is progressive from the league, you're right. But they could probably be more progressive when it comes to replay. I know a couple of teams and Bill Belichick. I think he's done this in the last couple of years they propose look we can get into the nuance of instant replay for pass interference or flags. Only. Why don't they just open up? Coach's challenges to every single play including penalties as has been proposed. Yeah, it's weird that no one has been on board with that. We even saw Steelers owner, Dan, Rooney do an interview this week, and he didn't sound excited about it. So it just for some reason this war gets proposed by someone every year. Hey, what's doing Bill Belichick was a proponent of it five years ago? And then this year the proposal on the table from the Redskins, and you would think, hey, look, this is the smartest coach in game. The best coach in NFL history saying we should review every single play. And for some reason. There's just not twenty four owners who want to get on board with making this dramatic of a change to replay. John another thing that seems to come up every year is one team in the postseason gets. Maybe unfortunately, they don't get to touch the ball over time. Because the other team goes down at scores. A touchdown this past year it happened to the chiefs. So they're frustrated. They have a few proposals to try and change time. Yeah. The overtime things seemed to come up every year. Also when someone doesn't get the ball, obviously, Patrick Mahomes. The chiefs didn't get to touch it it over time the AFC championship. And now the chiefs wanna make sure both teams get a possession to me that just opened up Pandora's box. Because let's say the patriots touchdown overtime. And the chiefs get bald as four their touchdown and over time. And now the patriots get the ball back and they score. Well, now, you still have uneven possessions, and your back were argument kind of started with one team dot one extra possession because of a coin flip that took place at the beginning of overtime. So there's no way to solve the instant replay thing. This has been something that's been on the table few years. The Chicago Bears made the same proposal in two thousand fifteen and it didn't pass in. This has been something to competition committee is kind of said we kind of feel good with overtime right now. They made the changes in two thousand twelve but I don't think this one is gonna pass to get both teams possession because on the other side of that in John bridge. Joining us on the shell Pennzoil performance line here on game night show, Lovie escape nights. All with you. You know, we we focus on Kansas City and New England. They couldn't stop gronkowski on. What seemed like five straight passes? They knew what was coming. They still couldn't stop it yet on the flip side of that non pass interference aside between New Orleans and the LA Rams drew Brees. Threw an interception in overtime. Like you can't play defense. This is something that is capable of a team to do. Right. Yeah. Absolutely. And that's the thing is that when you get nitpicky about this stuff. And you say, hey, there's one play that was totally botched or one player that was totally botched that out of one hundred plays that were running the game or maybe only sixty place, but it's still one out of a lot of plays, which I it's really tough to make an entire wool change. Because one thing went wrong, and I think more with overtime stuff where hey the chiefs like you just said they had multiple third and longs were they could've stopped. The patriots defense is about fifty percent of the game. And if you can't stop the other team that maybe you don't deserve to win. You know, made it the saints have a little more. Argument because hey, if we could challenge that pats interfering, it would have been an easy fix too. I think that makes a little more sensitive. I just don't buy the whole overtime argument that both teams have to have a possession. There are very few traditions in the NFL like both the Cowboys in Lyons playing at home on thanksgiving yet the eagles they they proposed that will maybe one of those teams plays a road game. You still have them. They're not at home. But they backed off that proposal. Do you think they did that because they realized probably had no chance of passing? I loved the eagles it here because this is like sending out a tweet that you hate your boss or something. And then deleting it real quick. But you know, enough people saw that it might made it out there. And so the eagles were just letting everyone know, hey, this is probably unfair that the Cowboys in the lions get the host game on thanksgiving. Every year is inherited advantage may because they have a tendency break after that. And they know where they're gonna get it late in the season. When you're getting a pseudo by after that thanksgiving. So I do understand what the eagles are saying. But who wants to host a game on thanksgiving every year? It takes a lot. I'm not against this tradition. So I do see what the eagles point is. But also, you know, the NFL added that primetime game in so other teams can host on Thursday. So maybe you put a team on the road like the eagles proposed. But I do like the lions and Cowboys both playing I think giving John breach CBS sports NFL writer joining us on game night. Joe, Gabe nights. So with you on the shell Pennzoil performance line before we say goodbye any other news dumps we should expect from the NFL no Thursday during the first round of the tournament. We got news about Colin Kaepernick spy out with or settlement with with the NFL. And then we get Robert Kraft news on a Saturday with all the other action going on and anything else, we can expect. I mean for real this stuff. Just the Friday news dump it turned into the NC double A tournament. News dump. I mean, the the mole report came everything coming out yet. Wouldn't be surprised maybe someone tells Robert Kraft entered his plea tomorrow on Sunday while everyone's playing nothing would surprise me at this point. All the news is breaking during this tournament. Thanks, john. Thanks for having me guys debut. Don't have any news to dump right now. Do you nothing nothing? No nothing other than just. Our last our last hope for a great game today. That's gone auburn's leading Kansas forty four twenty three at the under four time out in the first half. Yikes. Just the late games here in the NCAA tournament today. Just absolute blowout after blowout in chalk after truck. And even though this is I mean a seat upset five versus four Auburn versus Kansas. Auburn Vegas had them favored going into the game. David Hale who does a great job covering college football and basketball for ESPN had a great tweet earlier today. About these blowouts? He's like look at this point. I would have taken Kentucky versus Wofford eight times and inbetween just show us Ziya Williams and doing laundry because that at this point probably would have been more compelling than some of the guys don't these. Meaning for it. Don't these bloods just mean, we're gonna get an awesome next weekend? Because we have good teams advancing. Don't. Yeah. Although I mean, you mentioned Zion doing laundry. I mean, do we have the giant Cam going on him at all times? Like seriously showed me like Zion at the walk through. I think I'd be into it right now. Something tells me that that would be a pay per view. I don't know that. That's how ESPN plus the os. Give you a little bit extra something for for a few bucks a month. Right. I believe that's what you would get Zion that that's the kind of content. I think we would create that's the kind of content. I'd pay ten bucks a month for I'm Gary nights alongside Joe overuse, it's game night ESPN radio in the SPN app. Straight ahead. We've got the latest on the NCAA tournament, including. Yup. We're just kind of talking about it there to another blow out the update it's coming up next game, not ESPN radio and ESPN app. LSU do has just beaten Maryland's remind waters hits the game winning shot.

"People. Don't give them credit for being athlete, but you understand amongst comparing him to other players. He's not the most athletic guy in the floor nine out of ten times. And but not at the time usually the best part of the floor. And that's changed the game. You know, kids used to wanna Dunkin now kids wanna shoot three's. He's changed the way basketball's played. It's a three pointers league. Now, the fact that Steph has single handily had on the NBA is has been huge in gone state, period. They've said this trend were I mean, how the we follow that we shoot forty to fifty three game, you know, because we're trying to emulate what works and what they've had. And I think what he's been able to do off the court. Staying clean. Stay out of trouble comes from a good family. And then his wife is has her own success story has some of the best restaurants in the country. Sonia. The mom is amazing involved mother. Who's always there chanter family on? I mean, they had that like ideal perfect family that you know, the media has gravitated towards it. And it's because it's a, you know, it's just natural to do that. When you see something especially what they have of their. So I definitely commend them for that. When you guys are doing youth camps. Are you seeing eight year olds trying to Jack up threes? Absolutely. Crossover somebody either want shoot like Steph where I've handled a car the two guards. Like if I had to pick two guys in the NBA that like guards or kids try to emulate. It's not LeBron because he's so. You can't like people know they're not gonna grow up to be like him. You know? I mean, like you I decide Ziya William I haven't seen. Nobody physically dominating kids like LeBron will be a lot of kids favorite players like LeBron's a lot of kids favorite players in terms of who they want to try to play line. You're not gonna LeBron because they know they can't like you're not gonna be doing stuff. He does. So who what's realistic for a person will Steph in career, like six two six one and freak athlete? They don't dunk on people. What are they just skilled? So that's every kid's dream is like, and I think another guard that probably should be updated. But it's not as Kemba Walker for me as a guys that I watched and he's like the most underrated hardest guarded like hardest to guard in the league, in my opinion is the hardest. If I had to pick part for me that's hard to guard become a Walker because he gets a loaded the grand in his handles crazy now that he's shooting the way he does he's impossible to guard. But yeah, who's underrated team Clinton? I love Campbell. Kim was great Lou will. Raid..

"Boss out though, they do. And then they found him the second or third round of the turnament nearly every single year. I like it very very good coach he just can't get the horses in order to keep up with what he faces tournament. That's a good little up there in in in Spokane us coal being in that in. What is the what's the conference WC WC? You would know. We laugh it while he play baseball WC big west. Oh, where are you? Big west. Yeah. Okay. Well, yeah. Listen. That. Basketball big was to oh thought it was all part of that whole little loyal Marymount. The Debussy is all the religious schools. The big west is all public schools. Okay. Is what is? What is it Catholic Catholic? So I was I would think that they are good for the west coast. But when they start getting into the big boys like you see the engine just doesn't Adam more in in. What was a very off tear Jahromi KOMO they they were cool players Antic. Oh, but they just not they're not Ziya William they're they're really well coached they play him say badly. They play in a smaller league without his many, great athletes as maybe you're gonna see in the ACC or the big ten or even the Pac twelve you're not. You're not going to get a different sort of athlete in these places. And then once you get into the tournament, and once we win lawf- all of the well, they're just end to fill out the Prakit and you're in against everybody. That's pretty well. Coach and everybody that's got pretty good athletes. Now, they're planning on more equal footing. Which is why they win as much as they lose their just they're they're they're really really good for where they are. And they're really really good period. But all of a sudden when everybody's good their advantages disappear, especially when it comes to death like their starters. You play with anyone else's starters. But it's the depth. They usually kills them. How about this of all of the universities in southern California. Only one made the NCAA tournament out of LA from from Santa Barbara down to San Diego. One team. You see I- UCI and eaters. Maybe you see Irvine is raider Los Angeles is only Representative in the NCW. No. It's not the only Representative. They just stay here. Who's that? I mean, all the kids. Oh, right. Right. Right. The players play because first of all UCLA should make the tournament. One hundred percent of the time they coached two weeks into the season. They they should never. It's UCLA Andor stand that this is a little bit like the Lakers we've talked about. But when you have the tradition, and you're in a market that there are high school basketball players here. You don't have to drive twenty miles in any direction. You put together a team that's going to be here. They're here, and you can get it done USC is they didn't make it either. But there's Pac twelve school. It didn't happen. You look at all the long. Each fullerton. Irvine is the one that got in. I mean that I mean US's basketball program, they'll tell me about a program. Well, I'm gonna tell you just what the records show that y'all have really Madison's OJ mayo. I don't think. Look at. But when you look at UCLA with the history and all the alums the alums that are still in the area. The fact that is a nonstarter with basketball makes no sense to me at all. This is a program that needs an enema in just to be completely flushed out because it's full of crap from the top Dow it it's inexcusable you can't have Kareem here and Ryan Hollins, and like all these obvious UCLA alums just from Carinthia Ryan, I did I did. I like Ryan Ryan to. We got at least stop at Reggie mother or Russell Westbrook. Kevin love or somebody number Reggie hanging out here right now. Barron. David. Okay. Baird fine..

"Al Williamson top of the key looking to drive crosses over into the paint. Spins off on little can't get it. Too strong in the rebound for little so North Carolina can win it nine seconds left. Here's Koby white up the right side, seven and six five and four thirty feet out three and to step back fadeaway three rattle. How? Four to seventy three. Hero. He goes. David shumate. And this was the semifinals and credit Duke for not having an emotional letdown in the championship for being able to close out the ACC title. But did you hear on the Duke IMG sports network? It was drama filled. All the way to the end, it was back and forth back and forth. So if I'm not mistaken, I think I remember the first half UNC actually had a double figure lead. It may have been up somewhere between eleven to fourteen but they started out the second half poorly. It was actually tied at halftime. They started out the second half poorly Duke was able to pull in front. It was so good. It was the best that you could ask for. And that's one of the things about this rivalry that makes it so compelling, even if you don't really love college basketball, or you're tired of hearing about Duke and UNC it was so good. And it always is. I mean, they're almost dead even in there. What I call it their career rivalry. That's a weird term their overall record head to head. It's just awkward all of. That's awkward, but you get what I'm saying. It's a good rivalry always. So ends up getting Ziya Williams back just in time to become the overall number one, however UNC is not left out in the cold. The tar heels are number one in the midwest and all three of their titles under ROY Williams have come when they've been in a as a top seed and there was another nerd alert. I've got a pass this along to you. I did not find this. So I'm going to give credit to the listener. Who tweeted this to me? Let me just find it really quick. Okay. Vinnie says on Twitter I have a nerd alert for you. He says the and this is talking about another number one feeding Gonzaga. But I like the fact that I as I was talking about North Carolina. He bought this up. Third time is the number one seed Gonzaga their first and second rounds in Salt Lake City, all three times, so the pattern sometimes can be helpful. So with ROY Williams they've been a number one when they've won their three titles with Gonzaga Salt Lake has been a place that's been good to them. Now. We'll they finally get back to the final four maybe have another shot at the championship will see so Gonzaga, the number one that's not out of the ACC Virginia. Rounding out those four. There's no way they're not. They're not facing the same demons last year without UNBC game. If I remember correctly that was also a Friday night 'cause I remember being home in my chair and having my laptop in front of me. So I enjoyed watching it from the comfort of my own home. Having my laptop in front of me and Twitter. The March madness Twitter at that moment because it wasn't a close game. You NBC had a big lead and Virginia just had nothing. And it was so much fun to almost to kind of share that basketball conversation with the nation as it was happening. I'm pretty sure that was Friday night as well. So hey, this time of the year. You don't make plans that our Friday night if they don't involve college basketball. So we've got Virginia North Carolina Duke, and then we've got Gonzaga. If you missed my conversation with soft more forward, Corey kiss 'but. Well, that's part of our podcast after hours, Amy Lawrence dot com. A great talker. And actually a wakeup call for Gonzaga when they lost in their conference championship. This is the team that scored one hundred points in the semis and was held to forty seven by Saint Mary's in the championship game. And so for sure it was one of those. Whoa, slap you in the face. You better. Be ready. The next time you step on the court. And I had a good time. Talking to Corey about that moment. I asked him how in the world. Do you prevent that from happening again? And he had some really strong words. Also, I didn't know about Corey he was recruited by UVA. So he had his choice Charlottesville or Spokane, and he talks about why you picked Gonzaga and why it's been the right thing for him. So both Corey as well as Jerry palm who is here in studio to talk about his bracket that'll be part of our podcast. It's after hours on CBS sports radio. The plight of Villanova. We've talked about this a couple times as a thick feed. The defending champ had a role topsy turvy season and will have to take on the eleven which is Saint Mary's. So that's their first opponent and waiting for them in the next round. If the Wildcats win and seeds, hold true would be Purdue. So really strong inside game. I appreciate the experience of the defending champs. And the fact that they've got some guys who long tournament time. But they also made this a lot harder on themselves though. Don't tell that to coach Tate right because he's not buying that. Seating is all that important. We take it over over the years. We've had good bad all kinds of different bracketing feeding situation. We're we're happy to be in it. And and we got a hell of a matchup against teams from one team in the country. So yeah. For St Mary's who knocked off Gonzaga, they're playing some good basketball too. And feeling confident other things that jumped out at me from the bracket Kelvin Sampson and the Houston and the Houston Cougars are a three seat as well, which is really cool. And so the the idea that you work all year long all season long, and we talked about the crying and the blood and the sweat, and the tears, and you put everything you have into it. But this is where it pays off. So we have Kelvin Sampson and Houston against Ron hunter, Georgia state. Remember that run not that long ago that was fun. And so that's the three fourteen match in the midwest where North Carolina is the top seed Kentucky ends up falling to a two seed in that same region, and for the Wildcats they lost at Tennessee in their conference semifinals, and then Tennessee a chance to grab a one c but lost to Auburn in the SEC championship. The volunteers remain. A two seed as does Kentucky your two seeds are Michigan who fell to another to seed Michigan state in the big ten championship. The big ten by the way has more teams in than any other conference. And then Tennessee and Kentucky. So you have three top seeds from the ACC. You have to number two seats in the big ten and two from the SEC. So definitely the power conferences are represented. But there are eleven conferences out of thirty two this year that have multiple teams in which means more of that parody and more of the opportunities for the mid majors. So a lot to sift through a lot of settling game. We'll talk to liberty flames head coach Richie McKay. And the back end of this hour, but straight ahead. It wasn't just selection Sunday dominating the headlines over the weekend. It was also some big time football news. So we'll try to pick that apart as well. You can be on Twitter AOL radio and.

"Go to my Twitter. Thomas ma. And it'll be all posted up on there. By the time. The knife is over Dylan Matthews, of course, sitting here with me right now. Dylan, listen, you've been watching this this LSU basketball scandal, just broke right? Have you you keep an eye on that a little bit. I can't say I'm fully knowledgeable about it. But I know I know the skeleton of right? And I think a lot of people know the skeleton of it. So I wanted to kind of dive into that here as we wrapping up our number three so LSU never ten in the nation. I off a lot of people watch a college basketball. You didn't getting Duke, you think for genuine Gonzaga this year Tennessee's good. But but LSU's good this year. Right. Even our own a college basketball insiders, Sean, he's great. He he actually picked LSU as to. Yeah. Yeah. He picked before I visit before the this whole story where he picked LSU as his sleeper team in the SEC. So LSU is not just some team. That's got hit with the FBI investigation, and they were bad before. And they're gonna be bad. You know, this is a good LT member. When Ben Simmons was there. They couldn't make the tournament. I am Ben Simmons was obviously, you know, first round pick and really great. But right now, they're actually really good. So this FBI investigation. It's the same one. That got Rick Pitino fire from LSU. It's the same one. They are trying to crack down on recruiting violations right recruiting violations in college basketball, because obviously it's running rampant. Thank first off. We get you the full details. If you think that people don't cheat in recruiting in college sports. You're absolutely off your rocker. I think I mean, I get a theory here in a second. But let's just give you the details. We'll wait as the LSU basketball head coach an FBI wiretap caught him talking about. Having a hard time getting recruits to commit, and of course, he's talking to Christian doctrines who's kind of a middleman and all of this, and he was actually arrested by the FBI and sentenced to six months in jails already a bad person, they'd be talking to in a wiretapped phone. But during the wiretap only talked about how hard it is to get a third party player who they think they know who it is the freshman on the team right now who's really good. He said, quote, they didn't get enough of the piece of the pie in the deal. They were trying to tilt the deal in the favor of the family to actually get the player to come. And it's of course, start to end the FBI investigation, and they found this and then LSU being smart about it. They had suspended. We'll wait waited indefinitely and we'll do their own investigation. Which basically means they're going to buy time because then they kinda go. Okay. No, no, no. We'll we'll let us look into it wall. See what's up, they'll delay on it? They'll take a long time. And that way, I mean like you said LSU's number ten the nation. They're going to go to the tournament. So why'd messed them up right now. But this is obviously. A grander problem in college basketball and just sit here wondering who actually believes that the that that that that they can beat this now on one hand, I understand why this needs to be a Radicati because you cannot just take this rule where I don't people want us like people. There are a lot of people want to pay college players right now, that's a debate. Should we pay players or not? But there's a different debate. In should we be able to recruit players and give them stuff to get them to come? 'cause then we're talking about probably a completely different type of recruiting it'd be completely unfair. Because Alabama could go to someone and be like, hey, we got this donor, and he is going to pitch he'll give you a million dollars. If you sign like, we'll get so out of hand, so fast and teams already and schools already kind of get away with this by giving them like free goodie bags like at at Baylor. If you made football team where you got an a team you'd get like a pair of gold beats headphones right that they came with a swag and all the cool Nike gear. And that's kind of already like. Let's give you some beats right? It's already kind of a little bit unfair. But we let this go rampant then obviously become really unfair. And of course, you know, people get cars, and that's why people get suspended. You know? Hey, listen. We'll we'll set your family up not saying that. I mean, college players should be able to get something for what they do. But the overall recruiting process a little bit different. And we need to separate getting stuff for recruiting and getting stuff for actually playing and being a star. Right. Because we go back and forth on Zion. Williamson blowing out of shoe. It's like, oh, my gosh could have lost his career. He made no money all this kind of stuff. And then the argument is obviously, you know. Well, he gets a full ride to Duke. He gets crazy. Good meal plan all the players at Baylor. Got an insane meal plan like salmon and steak, and it's all free swag and get a free degree, and you can do with it. As you want a debate for another time. I have a hard time with that debate overall. Because it's like, I don't think like I I don't think I don't want players to to get paid. I think you could get a little bit it could get hazy. I should be allowed to benefit from their own. Own brand. So of Zion wants to get his own shoe or Zion wants to sell his t shirts or whatever or Duke selling on t shirts, and you should get a cut of it. But just you know, them getting a kind of money is a little bit different overall. It's just a weird topic. And it's amazing to me that we have to get the FBI involved and the NCAA can do its own investigations. And my main question is what are the what percentage of college programs actually, do it the wrong way? I feel like I feel like almost I'm not gonna say because obviously that might be sure there are good one. But, but I'm sure there are the most teams do something there has to bear. I would break NC double a rule you're in. If if if you if you're saying my college program has been caught doing anything. Yeah. Keyword caught. They haven't been caught yet. I mean, we if we sit here and go Alabama's never Denise sort of a Korean violation either. They haven't been caught it's like have the I mean come on Bessis laughable, right? And it's like come on. They have. I mean, but but for me, it's like so my question is that I don't know the answer to this. I don't think anyone does why. Why are why are we able to catch LSU with a wiretap had to do a wiretap like an FBI wiretap? And are we basically saying that we've wiretapped all the other schools and haven't got anything, or what did we just wiretap this one because they were talking to the the middleman was the name Christian doctrines like it's crazy to me. That we can single out some teams, and then not others because I think if we got down to the bottom of it, it'd be like every team's doing it. Like like, if we wiretapped and I keep saying Alabama, but pick a school. I mean, hell Georgia. We were at Florida. We wiretapped Stanford. I mean, come on gonna get something everybody. Now. Maybe they no, maybe you're listening and your your husband works there. And you know, it's clean. Okay. Maybe it is. But I think overall with how much money Ziya Williams can get you how much money to a tax tug of all of the Kenyan Gingrich Jake from either stars. And they bring the school so much money. It's like why why are we just getting the LSU basketball program? Like, I don't understand how we focus on one things and are able to get the whole because in reality in my opinion. I know it's obviously a lot of money in man hours. If we're going to wiretap LSU wiretap everybody. Let's just go school by school. I mean, it's ridiculous, right? Obviously can ever happen by listening right now. But like Thomas, that's but the FBI's better things to do. But it's like, I mean, how are we actually going to do this? I don't know. It's it's such a crazy thing to me that the FBI is getting involved in all this stuff. And now, wait Wade, we'll suspended and you'll be fired for sure and won't get. Hired as an NBA coach again. I mean as a college basketball coach again right now that saying he deserves it because he was cheating. But I'm sitting at home going man, I could literally come out and snitch on like, thirty other coaches, get them all in trouble. But he won't right. Because you know, I I don't know. It's such a weird story to me. And do you think this is gonna affect because we heard all this kind of last year recruiting stuff wise with the Andrea in Arizona was Shawn Miller. Do you think a thing is about to come back on Shawn Miller with this? Risen up again. Apparently because remember Shawn Miller was the Andrea eight and exactly and somehow got away with that. Now, I got away with it because it was all over him, but John Muir stars job. And of course, I think UNC has been cited in some things as well. And it's just this is not. I mean, if you're a coach like Shawn Miller who's had the FBI look at you before. And then this rises again, it probably is like oh boy. Here we go because I mean again who who who actually believes that Shawn Miller wasn't. You know, fully innocent. I dunno overall. Listen, we've had a great show so far and we're a couple of minutes away from wrapping this one up. Well, I think we're ended about one fifty one fifty five we started the show kind of breaking down the top twenty five college coaches, and again, our number one's already posted on my Twitter at roll Thomas Ma on Twitter. We started show talking about the Bruce Feldman article in the Atlantic talking about Korea smart being the twelfth best coach in college football. I went back and forth, my producer, and it's like curry smart should be in the in the top ten, but then we had to look at the top ten figure out how we're going to who we were going to replace. And of course, you and I kind of easily picked chip Kelly sitting at number seven but other than that everyone else in there. I mean. Franklin from Penn State TCU head coach she's talking about. I mean, all these guys in the top ten. It's like I mean, people don't like Lincoln Riley at four a caller say Lincoln Riley at four zero two high but back to back Heisman back-back college football playoff appearances. I mean, these are things we have to take into consideration. I do think Kirby though, was obviously a top ten coach based on national championship. He got to an SEC title game. And he's recruited really, really. Well. So that was a good a good conversation early on the falcons are. I kind of gave the three things I wish the falcons would have done this off season. Of course, obviously reengage year before the franchise was one. I wish they could have restructured some deals most notably Matt Ryan's to where Matt Ryan gets paid the same. But in a different way with bonus money that we could save a little bit of money. And then that would give you enough to go out and free agency. And maybe go get one or two players because I think we're looking at a free agency with the falcons really aren't going to be able to bring in anybody. I mean, they've eight or nine million dollars in free cap space, but what's eight or nine million dollars really able to do right now. Can't get you defensive end. At least a good one because the good ones command thirteen or fourteen million dollars ads. Big Beasley, I'm which he's getting paid right? Brandon Graham, set set the market in Philadelphia thirteen million dollars. I mean, you could go get another corner, but the cornerback markets week the wide receiver market, you don't need. There've been a bunch of tackles that were just recently released you could look there, but you need one that basically moved to guard because the falcons need help on the interior offensive line on the outside. So we're looking at a very, I guess boring overall free agency, but. Gotta remember the Falklands are going to get healthy and healthy falcons team could be a twenty sixteen falcons team. If they were healthy last year. I think we all can agree. They'd be in in in the playoffs or at least competing and so over all a decent. Synopsys? I think we can be okay. I I would give them a B B minus or a B. Plus, really, it's not a c- a good interview with Jason longshore from the mentality. Listen to let United on Sunday, and they are taken on their second. MLS opponent in FC Cincinnati the expansion team they should win. But if they don't I mean, Jason longshore mentioned it like Atlanta's get a little nervous, and we're passionate about our our our United and. I was listening to the interview what we were playing it at any bunker says just because you win a title like everyone like if I could ask you phthalates are bap the next five years, but they the valid Windsor will this year. You're with them being bad next five any falcon fan would say yes right now. But as soon as they started the next season, and we're and we're bad all freak out. So is this back and forth. Overall. We're going to see what Lenny United does whereabout about the wrap up tomorrow Dylan, and I are back on after the hawks and nets game. We're trying to figure out how daylight savings time a factor into that..

"And then you went to some magical transformer AT, and that opened up and just had like Scrooge mcduck moneybags that you were taking out, and I have not stop thinking about what this dirt could have possibly been for. Oh, it's just Fowler needed some soil for some plants. But what's great about Amine? Is he purposely took the bag from me? So he can tell the story that I made him carry the back like I was carrying the bag, and I'm gonna be interesting because no one knows what it's like to be a giant more so than cattlemen, and no one is more of a giant than Eli manning. And Pat Shurmur said today from the combine that ally manning is his guy. I don't know if you imagine that that's what the actual therapy session forced to God's like we're just goes in. And he just does a show. Like, do you think he says an also doctor therapist person one eight hundred flowers? For all your flower needs. Amine also said that this ace hardware that you were at was closed, and that you were like waving your arms to people to get them to open it for you. That's true. That part was true, not waving harms. I just stood there. We're going to be good. I was the first one to say it. But no one will the dance starts sending me tax articles about the air. And FOX Marvin Bagley and how to the future the NBA. And you know, he believes that guy. But doesn't believe me when I said at seven months before he did I'm telling you this is the Humana here. I've I've lost patience with him. When it's when he's lapsed into king, Sacramento Kings takes and it's not just kings stakes. But it's Williamson plays another second for Duke basketball is out of his mind, and if coach K really cared about in the way, he cares about his own son. I don't know if he has them. And if you had a on I'm guessing coach K would tell his son not to play another second for do because he's not getting paid. Okay. Zaia Ziya Williams. He also said he spent fourteen dollars on gluten free cat food. That's all we changed the name of the Redskins Washington Redskins. I mean, the only one who doesn't see this is Daniel Snyder. And how does he not see? I mean, it's possible. He's the owner. He's got the best. How does someone find out that their cat? Can't eat. Gluten. He's making that up. We were just walking through a change baseball team slow. I mean, they put a pitch clock in their twenty seconds. That's gonna fix it. I'll tell you how to it's it mega Quaker. How about sittings how about that? Office well up. I mean, these teams all these teams are out of it after three weeks out about we expand the playoffs. And that way every team is a she hot late and some stop being therapy. I thought he was going to be doing therapy out there. And all these doing is just recycling takes from taking of expanding playoffs. I'm on the college football playoff, his fourteen thing. Give me six. Gimme gimme thirty two. I don't care just give me a scenario..

"Mandatory sentencing college basketball, I just I if I'm Zion. Williamson peace out, thanks for coming. The people at a Dita's have already ascended ton North Carolina. They've already Corentin him and said look just rest don't put on no more Nike's because they just blew up and cost you, you know, an opportunity to blow up on screen and said she. We'll get you some Nikes course, Medina's just set out chill, and when you declare we'll sign you too like a ten year fixed zillion dollar contract. Yeah. Dita's Saint touching hill. The reason is because he was part of the probe. He was putting the Dita's pro. Oh, so let's. Who was the new guy who was a new guy about the actually tweeted, something our algae, probably find it. It's not dot com. I don't sit to something talking about the shoe a whatnot. You know, he got out of there. He escaped that one. Yeah. I mean, the shoe, you know, Nike obviously took a little bit of a PR hit. They had a little well, I'm saying SU exploded, I know. But they they took a little bit of a PR hit. It's a bad. Look. The question is though is design Williamson go out there and you're done, right. This is the end of the line. Because look I think that it's kind of turn we've seen with Nick Bosa from Ohio State. He basically didn't play his last year. He might be the first pick in the NFL draft. We've seen players kind of started with well, I'm just not gonna play in the bowl game. Because it doesn't really matter. I want to protect my draft status to more and more players to say, I'm out. I'm not going to do. The Winston doesn't need to take another shot. He doesn't need the block the shot. He's the number one pick and other than maybe somebody doing thing because they need to. With thing and saying this is what's wrong with college. Whatever the backlash is going to be minimal if anything at all he's gone. I wouldn't. And I think coach K is smart enough been around the block long enough and had enough. Guys, drafted an NBA will he wouldn't even attempt to try to convince him to come back in finish the season and get to the champion. I I don't think. So I think when you get into this situation, whether it was the kyri urban situation when he was at Duke and play games or desire situation right here. Whereas knee is kind of bruised and tweaked a little bit. I think that the people that at Duke smart enough to say, you know, a man good. Thank you. You got us here. We're good enough where we'll just keep going. If it happened two weeks ago, they said the same thing. I mean, guys all the information we need. What's the point of playing if you don't need to now for me when I was in college. If this would have happened back then like just this situation. I would have played because it was the Rose Bowl. But my senior if if this was if that was now, and we went to like the cactus bowl Dusen. Even if it's okay, let's go back to let's say it is the Rose Bowl you're playing and you you're you're not one hundred percent your something less than one hundred percent. You could probably do it if you had to. But you're let's say that you're the number one pick. But maybe if something crazy happens, you're not if you go into that game. And you reinjured your knee. You have you get hit something happens because you didn't say, you know, what I know it's one in a million. But I'm going to take the one off the table. I'm not gonna play. And that's those are the decision yet. Nothing's probably going to happen. But why results at the time the Rose Bowl granddaddy of them? All the big is still the granddaddy. But it was the big that was the big one. That was. Yeah. It was like. Everybody. Tune. It was the game. We're now the game obviously is the final four from the final four to wherever they place a national championship game. At if you in those games, those four you probably should play anything outside of that. If your top pick, you probably shouldn't play Ziya Williams being the top top five pick. Absolutely, not you've you've gone through this year entire life your.

"Eighty one games can I see a whole season? What about you? Man? You're becoming a bit of a hater. I'm going to say no man, I'm bitter. It's Donny baseball like why? Because in the opposing dugout sits Don Mana who thirty one years ago tied of may. Major league record eight straight games with at least one home run by the way round. The kunia now has five games in a row, reset a homerun, youngest player history. The score cut the guy, some, Michael. What else do you want him to by the way Mattingly's career as great as those first five or six years work in the leg Grant Hill. I mean, injuries back in him from being one of the all time, you don't know. You just gotta gotta. We gotta restrain ourselves a little bit. What's now? Terrell priors reaction to DJ swear injure was blank. All right. Terrell Pryor who's got like twenty five catches in his career. He really upset his teammates in Washington last year to the point where they went after him in one of those practices that should be outlawed. What teams practice against each other. Wow. I'm going to say the reaction was pent up the Redskins apparently hate this kid even though we played with him last year at demonstrated some promised Frank. He wasn't a bus. He got injured the season. Detail, but my goodness, it was picked up man. They went after two years ago. We had a thousand yards last year. We only had twenty four catches and he had an ankle injury. I'm going to say it's not Koby esque for this reason. Remember when Kobe Bryant famously didn't flinch when Matt Barnes stuff fall on his face. Yeah, there it is. And in this case prior actually, flinched just a little bit on a fake punt. Why are you flinching you're wearing a helmet in a face mask. He's not going to hurt you. Shudder to think would've happened if the didn't flinch. Also, people would start compared him to Kobe. That's the hanging sweat will size. We go on now this way there was a joint practice where there wasn't a fight. That's the thing you want. These joint practices done away with the coaches want the because I think they want us to. They want you to fight. The other team ninety in practice is that's why I think they schedule this stuff. What's next? Ben zobrist was blank for telling the up. He wanted an electron strike zone. All right. This is so funny bins over Zimbabwe was the only thing that happened in the seven. Nothing comes lots of Milwaukee yesterday, bins over who's the mildest mannered guy you'd ever gonna meet a great competitor has got a couple of rings. He just that's not his deal. Okay. So he he gets rung up on a piss that was borderline and says the electron ick. That's why we want it and he's technologically proficient for suggesting that's how goals strategy to call balls off the plate. We might have had eight any eight run rally who knows if he'd not been run up on that one, Frank come Mike, that was disrespectful from this standpoint, umpires nine hundred ninety two. You don't argue balls and strikes and check them. Then he back winnings later, then bends over and says, by the way, you should be replaced all your impartial as with electronic strike zone. You can't say that to an empire. She can't just consequences you by the way I sever Jacksonville Causey was patient probably to patient is So Chris. I mean, he Finally, I think it's a. Of honor and hopefully it fired up the cubs hopefully ain't got yesterday. What's next? Last one Ziad? Williamson's dunk was blank Ziya Williams's dunk, which took place in a Duke practice, a Duke basketball practice in August. That's what it is. It's in August, that's all that matters. Yes. He took off from the foul line. This is become like a bicycle kick in soccer. There's a kid and every high school gym who can do this sign. We love way at two hundred eighty..
