A highlight from Episode 115 (Lost Episode) - July 10, 2023 - Full House Pt. 2

"We haven't had this segment in a long time. What's up with you, it's that? Unpopular opinion, man, it's been like a couple episodes, months actually, about two months. So, we are kicking off the inaugural return of the unpopular opinion, and here today, to give his unpopular opinion, is the master of disaster, Mr. Saidi Said. Oh, man. Now, Saidi Said, you remember the rules? Yeah, let's do it. For the audience at home. You have five minutes to make your case, after five minutes are up, you're allowed to speak, and to, you know. Before the clock goes off, this unpopular opinion is going to lead into what I want to talk about for my new story, so it has some bearing to those stories. But yeah, I'm ready to go, my band, just hit the clock, and I'm ready to go. Let's go, tap it. All right, guys, I know Social Media has been around for about 20 years, since, well, over 20 years, actually. God damn, I'm old. And honestly, a lot of people would like to be opening books online, you know, like to show people their lives and their trips, that they're probably their benefactor paid for, in order to get them cheeks, or the cars they don't own, because their uncle owns that car, or things of that nature. They study for the gram, they're studying for Snapchat, studying for whatever. People really are claiming to those things that they actually, they don't do what they can out there, because we don't need too much information online to get you robbed, or killed, or arrested, as we've seen so many times before. But recently, people have been airing out their dirty laundry online, and honestly, it's a bad look all around, no matter who is responsible, what have you, who try to make people look bad, it's just a bad look around. So I'm going to say this, and this shouldn't be needed to be said, but here it is, stop airing out your private -ish online. Stop it. Nobody should be an audience to your dysfunction at all. Keep it in -house. Do not put it out there for the world to see, because then you can't come back and say, oh, say I'm a business. No, we are in your business now. We're now, you know, paid for and bought for audience members on this clown show, therefore our can opinions be said without being vilified by the likes of you. You put it out there, guess what? We get to play judge jury. That is what it is. And we have multiple stories as the last couple of weeks of this happening, and let's start off with, unfortunately, Mariah Mills, singer, ex -porn star, listen, she's a porn star, she globbles and glizzies swallows sperm for a living, so let's give her 100. She put Zion Williamson on full blast on social media, giving, churning out his deposits to her account, giving her over $100 ,000 a month to be her, you know, pretty much his high class escort. I'm going to say it, high price hoe, let's give her 100, that's what she was. She was pretty much, he misinterpreted saying that, that he thought that that's his girlfriend, blah, blah, blah. He gained the girlfriend experience for $107 ,000 a month to date of wisdom tooth. Like that woman's disgusting looking, I'm sorry. BBL's should be banned at this point. It's disgusting, it's horrendous, it makes you look like a freaking cartoon character. I see blow up dolls with better proportions than her. Stop it. No more BBL's, BBL's should be banned from now on for the rest of the decade. No more BBL's women, get on the treadmill, get on the StairMaster, earn your ass. I said what I said, I stand by 10 toes down. Moving on, next story, the baby daddy of Keke Palmer. Listen, we all have boundaries, whatever, in relationships and say things don't put out the way it is, but when you look like a hypocrite, when previous posts showed that you were showing your girl's booty cheeks clapping for the gram, and then you mad at her for having her butt cheeks out there for Usher, yeah, no, nah, homie. You can't just, you know, turn her face because she's getting sung to Serenade by Usher. Negro, he has a man, not a man, has a woman, and there's no chance of Usher going to steal your baby mama from you, all right, it ain't gonna happen. That's insecurity, my dude, that's on you, and to put it out there for the world to see Oh, oh, did the Keke party, the Keke clan came out in full power to the point that he had to shut down all his social media pages. They dragged this man to hell to the point that they had to cancel all his accounts. He played himself, man, big time, and unfortunately this song has so much reading now. Oh, man, this is embarrassing, my dude. Dude, Darius, or Donnell, whatever the hell your name is, dude, you are out here on your girlfriend's wifi all bucky -nicky wearing your boxers, and you're mad about your girl being at an Usher concert with her see -through dress with her pennies on, come on, guy. This looks like something out of the boondocks, you're bringing this thing exactly happening. You better check that out, you can't check it because she's the breadwinner, homie. I don't know how much you owe, I don't know how much, what does he do, that dude Darius, what does he do? What does he have money in? I don't know, I don't even know who he is. I don't know, he just shut up - Nine seconds. I don't know, he shut up Keke's club. Five seconds. At one per minute. Two. At one per minute, can I have more? Damn it, man, I have more. Sorry. Jonah Hill. He was wrong. There you go, I said what I said. Can't you explain why Jonah Hill is wrong? No, because, you know why? He set boundaries, he can't respect the boundaries, it is what it is. Jonah Hill the actor, right? Yes. What did he do? Pretty much, this girl, his ex -girlfriend, put him on blast, comb him, massaging this and this on her third, but here's the thing, is he insecure? Yes. Dude used to be a fat bastard, you see how he was, and for him to lose all that weight, of course he's going to be somewhat insecure too in himself, it's going to happen. I could lose 120 pounds tomorrow, I'm still going to be insecure because I've never dealt with women like that on the regular, dealing with now, where I lost weight, because that's just what it is. Women, you don't gravitate towards big dudes, let's keep it 100, and for those who do, God bless y 'all, I love every one of y 'all, so y 'all the real ones, y 'all the real heroes out there, alright? So, please, by all means, man, I appreciate a woman that loves the big dudes, alright? You're God's gift to us, alright? There are women that gravitate and like big dudes besides them just being big, and there are women that gravitate towards big dudes because they go out there and get it and get the money, but women are wired subconsciously to gravitate towards men, they feel like they could protect them. Dude, I'm 360 pounds, and homie, some of that pounds is muscle, I work as a bouncer. No, what I'm saying, there are a lot of things that make you dangerous. Make sure you're the fat athletes.

She is insisting that the pelicans organization trade him and she is also saying that she is going to release the sex tapes between her and Zion Williamson. She has proof, documented proof that Zion Williamson, the NBA pelican superstar has sent goons to basically scare her. Things are not looking good for Zion Williamson and I think somebody said something that's extremely profound that's true. This young lady said, I don't know why these NBA superstars, these athletes deal with porn stars or women like that. Find you a good woman from high school or college. Chris Paul, Ice Cube, Snoop Dogg, several entertainers and athletes have married their high school sweethearts. They haven't had any scandal type of problems or those types of situations. My whole issue with Mariah Mills, this is a woman who is an alleged adult film star. That's what she does for a living. She got involved with Zion Williamson because obviously she saw monetary gain. She thought she saw the bag. She saw, you know, a guy who signed a contract for $190 million. Let's announce that he is about to have a little girl. He's about to be a girl dad with his fiance and future wife. I don't know if it's his wife yet. I think she's his fiance, a woman by the name of Akima. She became unhinged and very, very vocal about her situation and you know, her fling with Zion Williamson. Here's the thing though. This was a conscious choice you made as a grown woman. You're a grown woman, not a child. You made the choice to continue communication with Zion. Now it was under false pretenses because you assumed based on what he told you that he was not a married man or that he did not have a girlfriend. So you thought you were dealing with someone single, but what you have to take into account is Zion is a young guy. He's very young with a ton of money, superstar, even though he's Americans, man, a huge contract. I don't know if you should have put all your eggs in one basket. And I'm not saying that to be insensitive. I'm saying that because it's almost like now she's doing everything to destroy Zion Williamson. When many of these accusations that she is making is due to her own actions, he did not make you do anything with him. Now she's saying that she had unprotected sex with him, that he put her life in jeopardy because, you know, he stated that he wasn't dealing with anyone else. So she allowed him to have unprotected sex with her. But now it's becoming a daily thing. These screenshots, the fact that she's saying, you know, Zion made her all these promises and, you know, she let him, you know, spit in her mouth. She's being very graphic about her relationship, her liaisons sexual with Zion Williamson. And at this point, I think she just needs to let it go because there's nothing that's going to happen to change the situation. He doesn't want to be sexually involved with you anymore. And I think, you know, her biggest problem is that come up is gone. She thought she was going to come up off of Zion Williamson. She thought that he was going to relocate her to, you know, New Orleans and that he basically would be her sponsor. She was looking at the monetary game, the money. I don't think she ever really loved Zion Williamson, if I'm being honest. I think she loved the money. The fact that she would be a kept woman, the fact that, you know, she obviously is all about the bag, the money. She is displaying characteristics of someone that is being deemed a gold digger. And that's exactly what she's showing. So I think it's time to just accept the fact that this didn't work out. Allow him to be happy. Apologize for, you know, the tirade of text messages and screenshots that you have sent thus far and just let it go at this point. I think it's really, really time for, you know, Mariah Mills, the porn star that allegedly had a fling and an affair with NBA Pelican star Zion Williamson to just You guys have been locked into another edition of Convo Over Cigars. "This Zion Williamson story is a little bit crazy, well, a lot crazy. A lot of people are saying, you know, Mariah Mills, the porn star, the adult film star that's posting all these screenshots on blogs and Instagram and Twitter. You know, they're saying, hey, you're an adult film star, you're a porn star, like get over it. You were the side chick of a, you know, big time NBA baller. Just you know, let that man go be happy. He's a father now. Just why are you doing this? But I kind of disagree because regardless of what she does, if she's an OnlyFans content creator or an adult film star, she's still a person. She's still a woman. She has feelings. She needs to be respected. And I'm not trying to sound, you know, overly compassionate, but I guess I am to a certain extent. She's still a human being. This woman, Mariah Mills, you know, she says that she genuinely loved, you know, Zion Williamson, the New Orleans Pelicans basketball star. She also said that he gave her an allowance of something like one hundred and seven thousand dollars. I don't know if it was weekly or bimonthly or whatever, but I just feel like she's a woman who is hurt. She put a lot of emphasis in this guy. She also said that, you know, he basically is put has put her safety at risk. She had unprotected sex with Zion Williamson. And, you know, she allowed him to, you know, do some crazy things. And all of a sudden he announces that he is having a baby with his girlfriend, Akima. So this is a woman that's hurt. I can understand. I'm not going to take the position that she's a porn star. She got played. She's a person with feelings like anyone else. But Zion Williamson tells our porn star, Mariah Mills, to delete all the screenshots and we will talk. That is what he said in a latest screenshot that was posted by the adult film star. The New Orleans pelican superstar attempts to do some damage control to his image as this woman is posting daily screenshots of Zion Williamson and his text messages. Mills has stated that Zion ruined her life and that she genuinely loved the NBA superstar. Her posts are essentially a long tirade of her hurt and anger after Zion Williamson, the 22 year old NBA All -Star, announced that his girlfriend, Akima, is pregnant with his baby girl. In one screenshot, Zion states, delete everything and we'll talk, then adds, but come on, for real. She replies, you know, hey, I'm very hurt. The star, you know, the porn star, Mariah Mills, replies, you ruined my life. You lied to me all the time. You have a baby. Go be a father. You're not my king anymore. Of course, Akima, who is Zion Williamson's present girlfriend, she is about to have his baby girl. She commented, she chimed in on these allegations. She said, happy hoes ain't hating and hating hoes ain't happy. This is what she said. This is getting messy. But my thing is, Zion, you are accountable a little bit. You're 22. I get it. You've got a big time contract. One hundred and ninety million. You're a marquee player, even though you haven't played because you've been hurt. But your antics off the court are a little bit, I don't know the word outlandish. But you know, you should have just kept it a buck. Been real with this woman, this porn star, Mariah Mills. If you had a woman or a fiance, another woman that you were involved with. That's what should have been clearly stated before any type of shenanigans took place. Obviously, this woman, Mariah Mills, this only fan star, this adult film star feels like she got shafted. She feels like she got the short end of the stick. And that's never good for anyone. She has feelings, too. That has to be respected. And that's my premise here on Convo Over Cigars. Everyone deserves a level of respect. And I think, you know, Zion is trying to downplay this like, you know, she was just some side chick that I was basically sponsoring, you know, but let's be clear. You made her a lot of promises. You wanted to, you know, have her relocate to New Orleans. So you basically could be close to her and have access to her at all times. So just keep it a buck. Be clear about your intentions. And that way, all of this could have been avoided. But I think this is a woman who is hurt. That is why she is constantly posting this tirade of screenshots to try to damage Zion Williamson and his NBA career and character, because now his character is in question. Not only are you a guy who, you know, who is, you know, cheating on your girlfriend, but you're also a guy who, you know, is into some very crazy stuff outside the basketball court with an alleged adult film star. You guys have been locked into another edition of Convo Over Cigars. My name is Derrick Andre Flemming. Have a good day, guys..

"He's the NBA forward, the power forward that everyone is talking about. You guys know who Zion Williamson is. He's the superstar for the New Orleans Pelicans. Let's talk about this trending story. My name is Derrick Andre Fleming and I, of course, am the host of Convo Over Cigars. The 22 -year -old Zion Williamson recently made headlines by announcing he's going to be a girl dad. Zion announced on Wednesday that he's having a baby with girlfriend Akima. The former Duke superstar is being blasted by an adult film star, a woman by the name of Mariah Mills, after a gender reveal with his girlfriend. Mills went on a multi -tweet spree claiming that she recently had relations with the New Orleans Pelicans superstar and could not believe that he got another woman pregnant. The soon -to -be parents shared their news of their baby girl on Tuesday, June 6 documenting their gender reveal party. Congrats Zion Williamson, happy for you. This is what the porn star Mariah Mills tweeted on Wednesday morning. The tweet, of course, was accompanied by a screenshot of Snapchat messages of the two -time NBA All -Star telling the porn star that he loves how she looks in a pair of jeans. He did not have a girlfriend and he wanted to move her to New Orleans. So Mariah Mills also tweeted, better pray I'm not pregnant too cuz I'm definitely late. This is getting quite messy for the superstar Zion Williamson. This adult film star sounds like a woman scorned and Zion Williamson probably made a bunch of promises to her behind closed doors. Sources are saying the star has a promiscuous lifestyle outside of the basketball court. So young guy, 22, $190 million contract. You do the math, man. Obviously there are going to be a lot of women coming at him. There's a lot of temptation when you're a superstar power forward in the NBA and your name is Zion Williamson. So I don't know, I just feel like this story is a little bit crazy. The porn star whose real name is Yamil Taylor has flipped flop between expressing her love for Williamson and conveying anger and bitterness toward the former Duke Blue Devils phenom. The 33 -year -old said, I didn't get played, I got lied to, which is my biggest issue with Zion Williamson. A commenter also said Zion is scorned with the women but certainly not on the basketball court. Mariah Mills is not only an adult film star but also an OnlyFans star and music artist who claims Zion Williamson is a sex addict. That's a little bit TMI. Like, if you're going to have a problem with him and he promised you things, I understand you're upset. You're human, you know, you was made a bunch of promises. You did not know he had a lady. So now you feel like you've been betrayed. But to call him a sex addict, that's kind of below the belt. And obviously this guy is probably wondering, like, what in the world is going on? She also said, I let you spit in my mouth during sex. And I don't know if we needed to know that, but she kind of chimed in to let us know that he spit in her mouth during sex. He made her all these promises. He talked about moving her to New Orleans so that he could take care of her, how much it would be financially to support her if she relocated, things like that. As to which Zion Williamson has remained hush -hush. He has not commented on, you know, this woman and her alleged, you know, fling with him. Of course, Zion Williamson signed a five year, one hundred and ninety four million dollar contract with the New Orleans Pelicans. Williamson was the first overall pick of the 2019 NBA draft. He's played just one hundred and fourteen games for the Pelicans across four seasons. He missed the entire 2021 -2022 season with a broken foot. You guys have been locked in to another edition of Convo Over Cigars. I am your host, Derrick Andre Fleming. Have a fantastic Saturday, guys..

Pelicans' Zion Williamson in a 'mental battle' to play again

"All star forward, Zion Williamson said he won't return to the New Orleans pelicans lineup until he's confident his body will respond well to the way he wants to play. Williamson says he's fine physically after recovering from a right hamstring injury suffered in early January. I know the atmosphere I would be entering based off like the playoff experience. So now it's just a matter of when I feel like Zion. The former first overall pick played in just 29 games this season, averaging 26 points and 7 rebounds, New Orleans is set to face the Oklahoma City Thunder in a Western Conference play in game on Wednesday. I'm geffen cool bar.

"But a day, but it'll be more complicated in a bigger trade than what it looks like on its face. I think we need to mention here too. Even if it is a cap space team, like say the pistons, it might still end up, it'll probably still end up being a sign and trade because they'll need to pay something in order to convince the suns not to just match the contract. So when you say there's no draft picks, it could be a future draft pick, right? The songs could decide, you know what? We're going to do a sign and trade $30 million into the pistons cap room and then we're going to take on. We're going to get a $30 million trade exception plus they're going to give us a future first or whatever it is. Or could even just be a junk first. Yeah. I mean, look at what the Celtics did with Gordon Hayward. They paid the hornets a couple of seconds to make it a sign and trade. We take these to make it a time trip so that they could create a nearly $28 million or whatever it was sign and trade. The other thing I think we need to address just for the sake of history here is why have base compensation? Why have this be a thing? It doesn't feel like any way to me. That long ago I was sure it was a good while ago, but so the NBA, they wanted to try to incentivize players to stay with the incumbent team to stay with the team that drafted them and so then they gave advantages to teams who drafted those players in terms of signing them. They can offer them more money. Well, what players started to do was sign the contract with the incumbent team and then demand a trade. So they would get the best of both worlds. They would get all the money that they were possibly owed because a new team couldn't pay them quite as much as their current team. So they would get the money and then they would get to go to the team that they weren't in the additional gear. There was an additional year and the teams were cooperating with us because they were saying, well, this is better than losing the player for nothing. But the NBA didn't like the optics of it of players constantly re signing and then forcing their way out. And so they tried to make this a bit more complicated a bit more difficult for this to take place. So that's why you see this. It's because it's a reaction to what happened in the past. And so the NBA tried to kind of legislate that out or at least make it a much more difficult situation to try to negotiate a sign and trade. Exactly. And all these things are put into, if you want to do it, you guys get to get creative to make it happen. And we do see these happen sometimes..

"The court in terms of the kind of attention that's being drawn to the grizzlies for a franchise that needs this kind of buzz around them. I think he is just huge for this organization moving forward again on and off the court. Absolutely massive. So this is a no brainer decision from Memphis. Yeah, and what's going to happen with jaws too is he'll get that designated player language where if he makes all MBA again or he MVP, even if he can win that, which I mean, I don't think he will win MVP next year, but I'm certainly not taking a completely off the table. That's how good he is, but as long as he makes all NBA next year, then he'll get that designated language, which will bump him up with salary to your probably up to that 30% max tier with that Zion's probably not going to get that language just because of the injury concerns. He'll get the injured passion language instead. It is my guest there, but these two guys we'll see about Zion, one of the things I've been floating around is maybe in exchange for the injury protections. The Republicans give him a 5th year player option. Just kind of say, hey, we'll let you get out early, but we need protected in case at all goes sideways on us. Job will get that 5th year player option absolutely. Those had gone away for a while, but they're starting to come back now. We're seeing like Jayson Tatum got it, Donovan Mitchell got it. The best of the best we'll get him. And jaws certainly in that category. Like it's useful for these players, but I also feel like there's an element of that 5th year player option being kind of a status symbol for the player as well. I mean, it matters, but it's also, look, my team is willing to give me everything they possibly can, that's how that's the level I'm at, right? So I think that's something that matters too, because on the surface, you just think, well, what's the big deal? A 5th year player option you're getting, you're getting millions upon millions of tens of millions of dollars regardless, but I think it does matter to these max level stars. No. You absolutely right. Yeah. In the best of the best get up. Try young and Luca. And they're extensions that will kick in those coming season both happen as well. She goes to Alexander tear down from those two guys. I think we would all agree. He did not get one..

"You know, I know he was on the team. But whenever I think of this situation, I always think of Josh Smith. Obviously that's not the right team, but that's the first name that I always think of when I think of that situation. Gosh, I can't even think of who it would be. Kyle singler. No. Yes, last year. On the books for the I would have never gotten that, right? Yeah, so that's why they'll add all those things up and they're going to be in over the cap team, especially once you factor in resigning dort and things like that. So that's why they're motivated to use this cap space now. Now, they're not going to go crazy. I don't think they're going to take on 20 more million in salary from other teams. The only reason I say that is they certainly don't want to be a tax team. And you start messing around too much and take on too much dead money, then resigned dort for something in the 12th to $15 million a year range. Now all of a sudden you start knocking on the door being a tax team and that's certainly not what they want to do. So correct. But maybe another 8, 10 million? Yeah, you could probably pull that off and figure that out. All right. Why don't we jump down south to New Orleans? Let's talk a little bit about Zion Williamson. It sounds like things have been kind of clearing up between Zion and the pelican. It sounds like they're getting on the same page. And that a deal will be coming, Zion Williamson will be staying long term with the pelicans, at least that's the message that's really coming. And in fact, that this is coming from both camps. We've heard the pelicans want to resign him. We've heard that Zion wants to resign and we've heard from them directly. I think this deal gets done..

"If Memphis is a sloppy as they were against Minnesota, they're going to be done quick. I think they'll clean some of that up. I think they maybe get caught up a little bit. Again, not to I promise someone trying to hammer a point here, but pace is going to be important here. Memphis wants to get up and down. They want it to be a running game. That sounds super dangerous against the warriors because we know what they can do as an offensive team. But if you watch, the warriors that that they use, that's the single biggest difference I think between the dynasty warriors and the warriors now, is that group was perfectly content to run, run, run all day. This group's a little more. We're going to pick you apart with precision in the half court. We're just going to run our stuff and you're going to find it impossible to defend. They'll run, but it's more opportunistically, where Memphis is, let's go. Getting go. I do think Steven Adams kind of reemerges in this series, probably more in the come on loony minutes than anything else, but I think that'll be important because you want to close down the rim. You want to make sure you're taking care of the boards. But I think Memphis needs to run, run, run, try to try to really get these guys going, try to get them tired, they're an older team, try to really get it so their legs are feeling it in the fourth quarter because you're ran them for three full quarters early on. The grizzlies aren't ready yet for this with a healthy warriors team again. Dad, that's the thing I think we're close. We're on the tipping point. And I think this is going to be one when next year and years beyond. We might point back to that 2022 series when the grizzlies lost, but they were there. Man, they were battling. That was the one where that's where you knew. That's the feel I have on this one. Yeah, agreed. I think they're going to take a page from the wolves series too, and they're going to go at John morant a lot force him to defend and then hopefully that will help. He seems like his energy reserves are limitless, but I think they are going to go after John morant quite a bit on that end of the floor. We'll see how that ultimately looks. They're going to drop him to when he drives. To the rim. They're going to be draymond. Not in dirty ways, but they're just physical and they're going to make you pay if you come inside. Does Steven Adams get minutes in this series? I think so. Like I said, I think against kevon Looney, I think, to make sure you take care of the boards, you limit it because you give the warrior second chances. You're done. They're not going to miss shots the second time around. And they're sneaky good on the offensive glass. I just had it up. Let me re pull it, but they're not in a position where you're like, oh, man, this seems the most dominant offensive. Rebounding team I've seen. There were 18th in the league, but they're sneaky how they get them. They get them and they tend to, I bet if I don't have the ability to pull it right now, but if we look, we would say, holy cow, they really make you pay on converting second chance opportunities. Yeah, absolutely. And so that'll be something to watch there..

"It's give and take their but I tend to believe with this one is if dawn of the Mitchell wants to leave Utah, it's it'll come when it comes. And I think maybe that's out of his hands too. It may be one of those things where Danny ainge and Justin Xanax run the team now or like, yeah, we're going to go a different direction entirely. With that. So it started us on an awful lot like Quinn cider is going to be out. Yale, whether that's sounding more now like that might be by his choosing. Then by the gym. Made that very strongly suggested that's the case that the jazz want him and then Justin Xanax comments, again, the days are blurring together. I don't remember who was yesterday or day before. But he said the same thing right out there, you know, we want to partner with him. We want him around, but Quinn Snyder, does he want to be there? That's the question mark here. That's exactly it. So yeah, so I mean, change is coming for the Utah Jazz one way or another. So we'll see how it comes. Develop here over the coming months. Positive on the extension front for New Orleans, Zion Williamson said he wants an extension with New Orleans. I remember there have been a lot of questions. There's been people saying, oh, his family members don't like New Orleans. He wants to go to New York, all of these things. And he's, I mean, just coming right out saying, yeah, I want to do an extension, and maybe as a player coming off of a lost season here due to injury that may have given him a little bit more incentive to say, yeah, I would like to take that money, please. But yes, please give me hundreds of millions of dollars. Exactly. After my 80, what is he at 83 games or something? Three. It is career. Is that how many of us? 85. 85 games in three years. One full season. But when he plays, he's so good. So that's the thing here..

"And I think that showed, I think that showed in closing out games. I think Memphis trailed by ten or more in the fourth quarter or at least the second half of three games in this series and then they managed to win all three of those games. So that's obviously a huge for them. And I think you saw the walls get a little panicky down the stretch while there was car Anthony towns took about a 35 foot three pointer at one point with about a minute or so to play. That was just, it was just not a good time place for that shot. They make a lot of sense and he missed by a mile. So yeah, I just went in there and got it done, but the most entertaining series of the first round, I think, without a doubt. There was the one blowout game in there, but other than that, it was close games up and down, a lot of action, a lot of crazy stuff happened, and two fun young teams that you kind of look at those two in the pelicans. And if they can handle things right, that's kind of the future of the Western Conference, I think. With those three teams of, hey, just retain your guys, build the right teams around them. And you can see those three teams doing stuff for years to come in the west. Yeah, absolutely. I really enjoyed this series and not because it was the most beautiful basketball because it certainly was not. But it was just, it was close games, these two teams got after each other. It was super competitive, and then of course you had the comeback element, right? In most of these games, the wolves were happy. They're yelling and screaming and fired up and doing all that kind of stuff. And then come fourth quarter that doubts started to creep in. They start missing shots, they tighten up, and then here's the Memphis Grizzlies, grizzlies just kind of stayed within arms like the entire game stayed right there and then overtook them in the fourth quarter and we saw that game script play out a number of times and credit to the grizzlies for being the team that, you know, as a young team themselves, but having the composure and the experience to ultimately get the job done. And I'm excited to see grizzlies warriors. I think that's going to be a really good series. Yeah, I completely agree. We're going to get to that one in a minute, one thing because I just don't want to lose it is. That sense of how the grizzlies just keep coming is going to be huge for them in a series against the warriors because the warriors, they're not the warriors right there. They're not quite that team, but they're not far off that team either where they can kind of hit you with that avalanche. And the next thing you know, you're down 15 in a three minute period and you're like, what happened? But the grizzlies just, they just keep coming, they just keep working. That's going to be big for them in that series..

"You can protect picks that aren't your own pick. So we'll see where that lens will talk about what the Lakers are projected to do here in a little bit. So now flipping to Memphis, they have their own pick. They'll get that Lakers pick if it's 11 or 30. And then they get Utah's pick if it's 7 to 30, the jazz are going to be 7 to 30. Miami we already talked about that in the Houston section. Milwaukee's this one is just kind of fun because they have their own pick, but it's via Milwaukee to Cleveland to Houston. And this is the one where if we remember in the PJ Tucker trade, they redid the protections on a pick and one picks were owed to Houston. And they got this pick back in that which freed them up to trade last year's for PJ Tucker. I'll admit I've done that in like dynasty fantasy football before where I try to pick and then a couple of years down the line I wind up trading back from my own pick, but it's rare that you see it actually play out in real life like this. Minnesota has their own pick. New Orleans keeps their pick if it's one to 14. I'm sorry, if it's one to four, they keep their own pick. Otherwise it goes to Portland if it's 5 to 14. And if not, it goes to Charlotte if it's 15 to 30. So in this case, New Orleans had their lottery protected portion of their pick. Which the pico de Charlotte is from the devonte Graham sign in trade. And what they did was with their lottery portion is they kept it lottery God shine down upon them and they get a top four pick. Otherwise what they said is poor than you get it if it's 5 to 14. In the back half of the lottery. And then of course they get that Lakers pick if it falls one to ten. Right. New York has their own pick in future years..

"Is, we've never seen anything like this. He's played 85 games. I'm going off the assumption he's not going to play this year. And if he does, it's probably more of a cameo type thing. But if he doesn't play 85 games, but those 85 games were amazing. Last year, in a mostly healthy season in his second year, he was 27, 7 and four. Insane. I'm like 95% from the field. That's exactly what it felt like. Yeah. Exactly. So yeah, so it is really at a point when you look at this of those are no brainer max, you know, full max, designated player language. Numbers, but the problem is it's 85 games over three years. And that's a fully owning. There's been a couple shortened seasons in there. They weren't that shortened. They weren't shortened enough to play basically one full season in three. So what I did was I broke down all the ideas that are out there of field extension, designated player, what the numbers would look like on those. What would happen if you put some of the embiid protections in there? It's even been suggesting to me, just signs the qualifying offer, that's got a little twist to it that can make that and I really a possibility. So go check the piece out. I'm not going to sit here and read it to you on front office show because that would be that would put me to sleep as well. But oh read it and take a look at it because I think it'll start to explain. We've never seen anything like this. And even finding a comp to this, I put some comps in at the end of the piece, they're not even clean. It is pretty pretty messy, so it's just definitely something I take a look at. Going to be really interesting to see what happens from here. And I mean, what pelicans fans, I don't know. Let's hope they can find the right path because there's a lot. I mean, part of the reason why this is so interesting is because there's a lot hinging on this, right? I mean, you're talking about the future of the immediate future of this franchise hangs in the balance depending on the health of Zion Williamson and what they ultimately do with him contractually. So we'll see what winds up happening there, but definitely go check out that piece. Yep. All right. Yeah, it's too not over simplify it. The pelicans have to get this right. You blow this one. It could be. And I don't even know what that means, right?.

"And that's from the man himself, said that. Sources. No, no better source than the man to be the source himself. So yeah, I think that is good news for them. I mean, they've lost 5 in a row. That's tough. Now good lucky Memphis is stumbled just a bit here in their last just a bit, but they've closed that gap Memphis is actually past them now by a half game. For the second seed in the west and you'll see where this goes the rest of the way, but you'll feel the warriors. It's not out of the realm of possibility that maybe Utah catches them too. Maybe Dallas, you know, because those two teams have been playing great lately, doused as one 5 in a row. Utah lost last night, but they're 7 and three in their last ten. And that's close to now two and a half games in three games. Oh, well, for those teams, so the warriors, they've got to get this slide reversed. Now, I think it's also fair to know Steve Kerr cared so much about it that he didn't even take. Most of his regulars to Denver last night for the game. He was basically like, I don't really care. And I think I'm on a very much paraphrase, but he said recently. I do not care about our seed. I care about that we're healthy, rested and ready to go come play off. And as Ron government broke down for us yesterday, there was a little bit of frustration on the warriors part two that the game was being rescheduled for that point when they were in a pretty heavy portion of the season. And so Steve Kerr's like, no, you know what? Sorry, we're not going to bring our guys then. If you're going to make us play at this point, we're not bringing our guys. And that was a makeup game. From that COVID cancel is shown earlier. Let's move on though Isiah Thomas, this is something you and I were talking about a little bit. From what we've heard really, he's been trying to get back to the Boston Celtics if he can. We've been, we've been in IT's corner all season long, hoping that he can find a spot and stick and just be a guy who can complain 'cause I still think he is an NBA caliber player. I think he's shown definitively whenever he's gone down to the G league that he's too good. He's too good to be in the G league NBA teams have a challenge making him fit, but I mean, it's almost kind of sad. He's been trying to get back to the Boston Celtics and it just hasn't quite been working out. Yeah, so the contacts for this is the salt texture playing the hornets tonight. Isaiah Thomas is currently on the hornets on a ten day contract, so he did some media availability this morning. Rare that a player on a ten day contract would even do media. But it's Isaiah Thomas. He's not your normal ten day kind of guy and deal they're playing the Celtics and he very much said that over the last few seasons he, any time he's been available in the Celtics have had an opening, he's reached out and said hey, I'd love to come back..

Now, when you look at Willie Green Clearly has an extensive basketball background was in Philly, the Hornets in New Orleans. Atlanta. "We are back on. Get up and jay. Williams made his way to take a look at the game of the night last night. A good one between the jazz. And the pelicans and this one was all about ziad. Look at him. Going right equity go back just constantly challenging rudy gobert. He gets his shot blocked more than any other player in the league. But it doesn't matter because it's going to finish at the rim. He had fifteen points in the third quarter. Zion did look at them continuing here and just taking a straw once again. He loves eternal right shoulder. That's his patented move. Twenty-six ten last night for zion who was really emerging clear in his second season. Well let's take you to where this game is decided thirty seconds ago jazz are down by one. And here's the big sequence. J. will often miss from donovan mitchell. Donovan mitchell mrs baruch. I don't know if i call that over to bat call rudy gobert. That just much taller. But since i did it take another look at it here. That's go bear. He does get called for over the bag. Zion would make too so the pelicans of a three point lead in. Here's the final shot. Not a great look that the utah jazz get off. Zion gets the rebound josh. Hart gets uncontested dunk. And that is all she wrote. The pelicans get the win. Chris Broussard: LeBron is right, KD, Warriors Big 3 were better than Nets

"Asked about playing in next week's free for the first time on thursday. Lebron james pump the brakes on calling it. An unprecedented collection of talent reminding reporters quote. We forgot about katie. Stephan play. already. I mean there you go there you go right there of course lost back to back finals to the warriors big three that he referenced right then i first sard is back joining us. I don't think so chris. Do you agree with the brown hair. Well i i'm guessing that skip sensors and alterior motive. Oh i won't go there. I'll be interested in seeing what he says. But i'm going with the golden state guys staff clay and and i've got five reasons why number one the pieces fit together better when those three katie went to golden state. We had no questions about whether or not it was going to work because none of the guys are ball dominant. None of them needed the ball in their hands. A lot to be effective and give you twenty plus points. Obviously james harden and car. We have been bald dominant dribble it a lot which can make it more difficult to fit together now. They're fitting together great offensively but theoretically there games are a lot more ball dominant. Golden state guys to golden state was better defensively. And i'm not just talking about draymond green. Who's not even part of this conversation. You add katie. Who was younger and i. I'm sure it was a better defender at that point. Then he can be at this point a little older often an achilles injury and then klay thompson was a legitimately very good defender. He made an all nba. Defensive team steph obviously is in the category of harden and kyrie. None of them are really great defenders. The third thing better shooters as well as hard and kyrie shoe. And they are great shooters steph. Curry is the best shooter in nba history. So good that he changed the game. He literally changed the way the nba is played because he's such a great shooter and clay is arguably arguably the second greatest shooter of all time again that enables you to fit better together and certainly for today's game the better shooters i mean. That's a huge thing. You have fourth no drama. They they they were low maintenance guys in golden state k. d. had a little drama but for the most part that's a low maintenance group in brooklyn i i love his game but i gotta worry about kyrie. He was playing great at the beginning of the season. And then all of a sudden just went awol. Is that going to happen again. Is going to be happy. The entire season playing shooting guard. Or will he get the rich to have the ball in his hands more again even last night. Why was car sitting out. They said back tightness. But i bet you replace the next five games and is fine and plays great like they need to be on the floor as much as possible. I can't be legitimately injured hamstring but kyrie hard and they don't need to be just sitting out to rest are so the drama a is there. And here's the final thing steph and clay before k. got there. They proved that they could lead a team to a championship. They proved they didn't need this transcendent lebron or k. d. or somebody like that to lead them to a championship. They didn't need a stack team. They did it on their own k. D. was certainly the best player on those golden state teams but he went to a champion. Already he is still yet to prove. He can lead his own team to a championship. Even though it was the best player kyri hit one of the greatest shots in nba. History may be the greatest. But obviously that was lebron's team. Kyrie has have much playoff success without lebron james yet and we know harden has yet to prove that he can lead a team to a championship. So for all those reasons. I'm going with golden state

Lakers' Anthony Davis to Undergo MRI After Re-Aggravating Achilles Injury

"Saw anthony davis limping off court last night which with what is said to be an achilles injury that how serious is this and are you familiar with this familiar. I was watching it live. I watched last night. I figure and everybody davis had missed a couple of games sitting out because that achilles was sore. Oh okay a couple of games already. That happened this. You know this last five six days and when he walked off limped off. I just said oh my god i do not want this to be. Nobody wants to be a season ending injury But he was he he could put. It seemed no weight at all on that on that ankle foot and He's supposed to have an mri today and either. This is going to be. Hopefully nothing is out a little bit of time. Or if he's out. I mean if if it is bad as it looked totally It it that would be terrible news for the nba. Well then let me get to let me get to the other side of that. Which is if this are you telling me. This is a chronic condition that they are monitoring all the time so that means it. Could you know we go out. It's likely to go out. It's likely to be almost as bad on a day to day as it is. If you find out it's a tare. Right i mean he. He's he's not at full strength for any great length of time on my right eye. Who knows i mean yeah Maybe two weeks. Maybe two weeks arrest or three weeks. That's still a prognosis. That the lakers can can withstand But i remember before. I mean durant had something going on with that part of his body before he suffered an injury out for year and everybody said all is not related is related strain that they put on their bodies. It is all related like race sources. Now then they jump and they run in there so fast and their legs. Aren't you know what i'm saying. The case for Baylor at No. 1 over Gonzaga

"The only respectful way to begin. This episode is by recognizing that scott drew baylor bears formerly known. As bill henderson's baylor bears improved a seventeen on the season tuesday night with an eighty-three sixty nine victory at texas. They outscored the longhorns. By seven in the first half they outscored the longhorns. By seven in the second half as a result baylor otherwise known as terry eagles alma mater is now seventeen and fifteen. Double digit wins. The bears are number one at kim palm. Their number one in the net. they are awesome undeniably. Norlander your turn to talk about baylor. Are you going to spend the next few minutes showing proper respect for the first lady of baylor basketball or are you going to once again disrespect. Kelly drew got drew. Plus mackenzie payton brody. Not to mention homer and janet price and tara dana and her husband. Casey bryson anna isaiah caleb. In luke plus drew barrymore drew carey. Drew brees drew bledsoe. Dr drew drew. Gooden andrew mcintyre how are you gonna handle this moment. bryce doesn't care does care. He'd bryce doesn't care. I talk to about it. He doesn't care. How are you going to atone for the fact that you still have a number one. I mean. I think it's disrespectful at this point. Daily top twenty five and one. After what i saw last night. I got baylor number one. But you don't and you disrespect the entire through family. And every drew. She has to drew mcgarry as well. You're disrespecting them all you've got number two. I think you're the one who needs to explain himself. I actually can't explain myself. And i do get asked this every day. I saw strong joe last night trying to make the case that baylor should be number one and i let it be clear. I won't argue with anybody that says baylor should be number. One baylor at this moment has a better resume than gonzaga. Got six quarter on lindsay. Does eggs only have five. Baylor is got the best adjusted efficiency margin in the country and one of the best of all time at this point. If you wanna if you wanna put baylor number one it is fine with me. It's just. I think we've talked about this. Before i made a rule a longtime ago i will not drop number one team unless it loses the only time i made an exception i went and looked it. Up is two seasons ago. Kansas was number one in the top twenty five and one to open the season. Kentucky might have been to. Duke was in the top five somewhere and do zion williamson cameras and remember the other one started with our allies and it was. It was whatever it doesn't matter. It doesn't rj barrett and so they went out and they just throttled kentucky on opening night at bankers life. And i just. I was even conflicted. Then because keynes's is just one and it was one zero and number one and i was like i don't feel silly not to have that duke team. That just did that to kentucky ranked number one. So i made an exception to the rule. Then but i've been ranking college basketball teams for better or worse for like more than fifteen years now and i've only dropped a number one team without losing one time and that is the example.

"It's bad but it's just like he clearly does not want to be the guy that he was for so long and i think that he is conscious of the criticism of string. Dribble dribble i so basketball that frankly he was terrific at and like look they got you because you are james harden and you are really good at scoring the basketball. So i eventually. I assume he's gonna shake shake out of these habits but right now it's just it's just strange to see him make plays like that. Honestly no i. I hear you for sure. Look i think he's walking on eggshells a little bit around kyrie irving right. You know making sure that he's feeling completely empowered. You look the shot chester bution last night. I mean kyri easily takes the most shots for brooklyn. I really don't think that was a coincidence. I think they were trying to like welcome back. It's been a a a touch and go situation. These last couple of weeks for brooklyn and so. I would understand why they would want to do that with him. Specifically i also think. James is just assist hunting in fashion. That i've really never seen before. I mean he is out there. Just trying to get as many as he wants to be seen as unselfish i think he will cool off with that a little bit as they go but they really do need his passing. It's going to be a new aspect of balancing their offense between the stars. He kicked out to reggie perry for a corner three when he was standing underneath the basket last night. Like what is going on. I stuff like that is just like maybe i'm just overreacting to one game a couple games. Whatever but it's just like a complete. I just never thought. I would see james harden play basketball this way i hear you look just wanna say real quick thanks to jc from france. Dylan scott. They all wrote in really awesome questions about the nets. Were just not going to have time to get to them but michael. I did want to read one. From jackson kind of a love letter to the brooklyn nets in. I wanna get your take on this as we try to get our minds wrapped around this new era of nets. basketball jackson writes. I'm writing to you as a bummed out nets fan. After the james harden trait. I lived in new york city when the nets were climbing back out from the depths of the pierce garnett aftermath. I used to enjoy reasonably chip cheap tickets in a team that played hard under coach atkinson. While the main draw was often the nets opponent it was encouraging to see the development of players. Like jared allen kerris avert joe harris and even de ngelo russell the broadcast team with an eagle and sarah stock felt like a personal treat for those flipping on a mid week nets game..

"He got caught up too much in the mano a mano with colin sexton which is not what you want it. All i mean. I mean kevin durant and james harden and watching a duel between kyrie irving and colin. Sexton is not title contention basketball. It's just not and the coach has to have some level of influence there late in games to get better stuff to notch. Just let the players do whatever the heck they want. Kyri also had a player control foul just being too aggressive. You know searching the The game winning play rather than just playing the way that he should the other thing. That really bothered me michael. It's a smaller thing. But i'm actually okay with this. General philosophy of steve nash. I'm gonna be hands off coach. i'm going to trust my superstars. Once they sort of get the pecking order right or katie is always involved. Hardens got the ball in his hands late in games. I think it's actually going to be good for them to just roll the ball out and let those guys go to work because they're amazingly talented players and great instinct scrape. Ask why you all that stuff. But when you're a coach in that situation you're gonna make your money on the minor things. The matchups defensively that we were talking about an ato's right they get the ball left side line. One point two seconds left in the In the first overtime tie game this is their chance to win right. This is like when nick nurse would pull out some crazy play that he found on a vhs tape in nineteen ninety three and it would turn into a game winner right. This is where he's made his reputation as a coach. Steve nash has kyrie irving inbound the ball. He's got james harden behind half court and he's got kevin durant as obvious only option in the paint coming towards the basketball. You play that play out. Kyrie irving triple checks on the past. He misses kevin durant completely when he breaks towards the ball. He thinks twice about it. He thinks three times about it and he finally puts a bailout past deep into the corner for katie. To try to you know. Throw up this contested. Tough turnaround over. Larry nance junior. Meanwhile hardened barely moves at center court. Because he's the decoy and nobody else including joe harris or anybody else's even working themselves open as a second option steve nash. That is not good enough for an ats in that situation with the game on the line you have got to do a lot better than that first of all and should be inbounding the ball not kyrie irving hard. Your best passer trust him. He's your point guard. everybody agreed. Put the ball. In his hand he would find kevin durant when kevin durant was open. He wouldn't have thought twice. And i actually like kyrie irving who's quicker and more elusive and capable of hitting shots on the run absolutely more than that. Decoy role than james harden. Those two guys should have been flipped on that play and they should have had some other action going. If kyrie irving was going to miss the first and most obvious option give him another option. They even have it on that play. So i'm really nit picking on this one particular sequence but they just mailed it in and that's not good enough right now. Michael they have kevin durant and there's absolute prime kyrie irving and now they've got james to and right now. They're five and five in clutch games this season..

"Gears because we got very passionate email from mckay in utah he writes. It's mac from utah. Podcast is amazing as always. I'm curious on what you think of the utah jazz can believe that he would want to know about the jazz. Michael stuns me. I watched them frequently and they are really really good. They beat the bucks clippers nuggets in a span of three weeks. They hold the third best defense in the nba. Along with the third best record there on a five game winning streak and they're just flat out good and donovan. Mitchell hasn't even played that well yet. Is it because they allowed. Murray to go. Mj mode on them in the bubble and now people just disregard them because they went out in the first round is at the small market thing is at both. I hear people talk about portland in dallas so much more but in my mind the jazz are a top three team in the west. I'm sure i'm just delusional. But i'd love to know your thoughts mac delusional. You just gave us the facts about how. They're a top three team in the western fritz. Right now so you can feel confident in your facts. Michael break it down for me. Why is utah having so much success. What do you like about them. I suspect we would love some generic praise for the jazz. So give it to them if you're ready or poke holes in their resume if you're not I love the jess..

"One problem. Yeah i wanna say it was like a half court shot some crazy shotput type shot. Maybe i'll google while you keep talking. I think you're you're you're spot on there but But yeah like zaylon is a guy who dominates in the paint. He's averaging he leads. The league points in the paint he has is averaging more points in the paint than honest did both of his. Mvp seasons which. I p- i put in my column. Which really kind of shocked me. Frankly 'cause jaanus was dominant. And then i went back and compared him to shack in shack average. Twenty points In the paint during his twenty nine year old season With the los angeles lakers when he was just out of his mind. Mvp best player alive most dominant force ever seen so like for shack. Only averaging a point. More than i on his right now in the pain is really telling me something and like when i look at zion shot chart. I'm kinda like okay so this is basically ben. Simmons accepts i on is more aggressive any as better touch and he can finish in a lotta ways. So let's take advantage of that. Let's not I i i see where you're coming from. And trying to dwell on some of his flaws for share like the fact that he's only hit one shot outside the paint and it came in their last game is. That's not really what you want. I mean you a player to be able to stretch the defense a little bit. But if he's going to be in the pain and dominate in the paint then let's put guys around him. Who can help him do that. And so if you look at how the roster is built. The only way you can really make that happen is by playing zion at the five. And you know defensively. That's just i think. A non starter for stan van. Gundy who as you said really wants to pack the paint. He really wants to Mimic with the milwaukee bucks have done so well over the past couple of seasons But the thing is like they've they've limited attempts at the rim. They've done a really good job at that but once team's get shots at the rim there like the second worst defense protecting the basket in the entire nba. So i just. I look at their defense. It's it's not good below average. And i'm kind of like okay. If you were this bad. With his ion and steven adams on the floor with zion and jackson hayes on the floor then just plays at the five and who cares about Defensive rating so much and just try to outscore teams play faster shoot more threes. I just i think in the nba. If you wanna win at a high level let alone just trying to make the playoffs. That's the side that you need to lean into a little bit more than protecting your defense which is not even working out anyway so you might as well just go all in on trying to score the ball as efficiently as possible now..

We're going to like triple quadruple. Quintupled down on the brooklyn nets. Talk later in this episode. They took an unbelievably embarrassing double overtime loss to the cleveland. Cavaliers last night it was the first game where they had all three stars aligned. There was some good there. Were some bad. There was some ugly there was some what is going on with steve. Nash developing already in game one for brooklyn. But we're going to table that until the second half of this episode. I wanted to start with something that you wrote earlier this week about portland trail blazers guard. Pelicans voted as best young core in annual NBA general manager survey

"The pelicans you know the nba was hoping against hope to get them in the playoffs. Last year. the bubble that didn't happen and then there was a poll by general managers about starting a team. And you could pick any player. And i was shocked at zion. Williamson's name was it more prevalent in the list from general managers. Why is that. Has this stock dropped at all or no no i. I think the reason that his name wouldn't be president. But and that's name Oh that you're talking about the. Pelicans were voted the best young by forty one percent. So i think i it tough to say when you basically have twenty five games of of work by now i get it. I would just surprise. His name wasn't there did you. did you notice. It was missing as well. Well well yeah but when you only like at the time that this this poll was taken when you only have twenty four games of work that is such a small sample size and when you look at some of the other guys that you're comparing him to you're comparing the guys that have two years under their belt. Three years under their belt had been into the play. Offs have been deep into the playoffs. I've mvp so. I can someone understand it with diane. Get the full healthy year under his belt. I'm sure that poll look a little different.

The Winners and Losers of ESPN's Top 100 NBA Player Rankings

"Loves lists are fun to debate ESPN came out with one of theirs loves to hate lists, but go on they love to hate him. Yes why I used to hate him cuz you're usually very wrong or cuz everyone's got their own lists. Like everyone had the same listed will be everyone hates. Everyone hates lists yet. They love them because you can debate them endlessly and ESPN sent out. Its top 100 list up until Player 11 and Jayson Tatum is the last one on the list. So he didn't crack the top ten. Well up to 11 is quite an accomplishment for him. Kemba Walker all the way down to 48 Marcus Smart jumps from 87 years. Thirty-seven on this list Jaylen Brown goes up from 51 to 32 Jayson Tatum. Also a big leap up to 11:00 and again lists our lists and we're not holding this as holy gospel, but we still am kind of talk about it because it is interesting and they're fun to debate our friend Gordon Hayward comes in at 44. So Marcus Smart is better than Gordon Hayward apparently in ESPN's eyes who is slightly better than Kemba Walker who's been slightly diminished because of his knees and his uncertainty. So we'll see what's happening there. But guys your initial thoughts on this list. Mine is obviously smart way too high and Jaylen be a little bit low. Yeah, and if you compare to last year, you know, I was top-heavy with the town in terms of your percentage of the League's top twenty five guys. I did a top-25 myself. I did my own last game of the regular season last year and I had four Celtics in the top thirty. So that's different. Now, you know kind of takes a dip shocking it takes a dip with the or something off the top 20. I almost addicted when when John was talking about how much he hates list because I'm kind of with him on that but nothing nothing. Nobody list that I hate more is a preseason list and then Bob to say that you have a post like what NBA Finals list, that's probably the second worst one between capital mean anything it was between the regular season and the playoffs and you're right the list off completely by the end of the postseason that you took time. Okay. Hey out of your life. Hey, we gotta check the content here. How long a couple of months? No, you suck. Changes it rapidly after the whole Jimmy Butler situation that we saw in the playoffs and I think that's an interesting thing about this list to definitely considering playoff runs quite a bit. I mean Jamal Murray gets into the top twenty thousand that's playoff performance right there. You talk about some of the other guys biggest surprise Zion nineteen like the Scion hype continues. What was he played Thirty games? Does Chicago Fire? Wow, I don't think there's eighteen guys in the league. I want in front of him. I'll tell you that if it's know what they'll list is it's not that they do these jobs. It does project. It does project out a little bit in terms of you know, kind of entering the season. So I think the 30 games you played is less of an issue. I do again want to talk about the Celtics here. All right, you know one by one cuz again, it doesn't matter where they are on a list but relative to their expectations for the year. It is important. Okay, because yep need if Marcus Smart is a is the is a tough 37 player in the NBA then that's a that's a trio that you can feel pretty good about I debate whether that's actually true I don't understand how long this went from 80s again it's a list we know it's not possible but how does from 87 to 37 in a year when it's offensive metrics went down in terms of efficiency his three-point shooting got worse his to point his overall field goal percentage was 34 I mean he was not again we know he can distribute we know how to feed other things offensively to make up for that but this is a guy who you are now you're now we are now asking a 34% field-goal shooter to shoot more and that's important to the team's success issue that worries me a little bit yeah I mean that's the part of the lift that thing is out the most right obviously because the market smart and there's two reasons one because of what we saw in the postseason he didn't have a great postseason his special In the Eastern Conference Finals, so that stands out to you as okay. Well, how did he get high on this list? The reason I think it got high on this list because just like everyone else is saying and what we've been talking about you don't take on a big role because of Kevin Walker Because of You Know the Way Gordon Hayward let and now this is huge void. He's going to take up a huge step in and I think he is p.m. Which of course this is why I hate these preseason the list because they're they're either getting wait till end of themselves down sizing, you know, it's either one of the other and with this one. I think they maybe just saying that they may be value mean Marcus Smart a little more than we do. I guess I guess the best way to put it I don't know. I don't think I would put them that off the list but I see why they did that because they know that his responsibility is going to expand ridiculously the next couple of months,

Pelicans' Zion Williamson looks every bit the superstar in NBA debut

"The As the NBA Gears Up for the Playoffs Zion Williamson and the PELICANS are preparing to head home. Pelicans were officially eliminated from playoff contention joining the Sacramento Kings also on the blast now. I'm very disappointed in his performance all across the board today, the Athletics Will Hillary joins US to look back on Zion's rollercoaster of rookie season to ask if it's time to adjust our expectations around the NBA's most hyped player in recent memory. That's a big question is just how is he gonNA handle it, and how is he going to respond? Think the great players we've seen in this league when the doubts happened the greats rise, and if he can do that, then we're gonNA, see him being one of the biggest stars in the League and I think one of the biggest stars and Sports.
