"Range that lay between him and their bays. They are only hope was a grass strip in the jungle at dobodura, 90 miles east of Port Moresby. Behind him in the fuselage it was a carnage of spent ammunition cases burnt out barrels blood and bandages. Seema was getting worse, and eventually Britain his co-pilot took over when they spotted the lush coastline of Dober Durer. The airfield was only 25 miles away. He lined the crippled B-17 up, and without flaps as the palm trees and rickety old control tab flash past, he knew he was coming in fast. They hit the dirt hard, bouncing three times. With no brakes, the end of the runway was coming up fast, so Britain dragged the control wheel over with all his strength, ground looping the B-17 as its left wing dug into the dirt. 8 hours after their departure, they were finally back in friendly arms as they were helped off the aircraft. Zema was falling in and out of consciousness. But finally, strong hands lifted him out of his seat. All 6 6 6 had done them proud, getting them home despite 5 cannon shell hits and 187 holes from the zeros machine guns. Despite all the damage, only four of the crew were wounded, but sadly there was also one death. That of Joe sun osci. Zima woke in a small field hospital where the doctors had removed nearly 150 pieces of shrapnel and various bits of old 6 6 6 from his legs arms and torso. 14 days later, the invasion of bougainville began. For their valor, the newly promoted major Jay zima and Joe sarnoski for awarded the Medal of Honor. The 7 other crewmen were each awarded the distinguished service cross. "Great to hear these stories directly from your perspective. But if you don't mind. I'd actually like to talk about a topic. That's a little bit more current. I know recently see. I'm punk has been making news about a potential return. But i don't wanna talk about that. I want to go back to money in the bank. Two thousand eleven which was ten years ago. Right around the time of the infamous bomb. Promo when i was curious. Do you have any memories of that time frame. But maybe working with john cena and see. I'm punk did you have any involvement in the in structuring. The money in the bank ladder match and you have any general memory the timeframe that you could share with us this evening. Thank you so much for your time by the way. Thank you So we appreciate you I had pretty much. All of john cena matches from day one up until probably the last eight months or so that that Hours there and shaw. The guy started taking a few of his matches But but i took them from day one and work with john and had skull session every monday sometimes every monday tuesday with john and poke if i remember correctly was suffering for some health issues. And you know he was over big time with our audience and he kept plugging along and he had a nagging injury that he just couldn't shake. Can i think the big issue was a needed. Some time to heal up and that was not being provided. Now don't homey this a hundred percent because the close-door meetings between punk and and the powers-that-be that were things that were kept personal and confidential. But i know the pipe bomb you know. Promos really got over because they were as close to reality. I guess you could possibly be if not one hundred percent So it you know. I just remember thinking at that time. I just remember stop in walking through the backstage area. And he was sitting there on a chair with his back to the walkway. And i just stopped said. You know how you doing man. I mean you know you're you're okay. And he just looked up over shoulder kind of turned around and we just said i'm hurting man and guys in our business. Don't usually say that you don't rain the dinner bail that a you may have to be off the wall and somebody come get your position so it's not one of those things you talk about unless it's really bad and that's what i took from it. And and pretty. Soon he was he was scrawl. No problem thank you for answering that. Did you have any specific memories of structuring matches with him in john zima does anything stick out out by anything in particular about their matches. I was just curious if you had any insights from working directly with the to on any particular bouts that they had well when you know. John gotten to a point when he when he started work with pocked. those go. John was far enough along that he could. You know he knew the business and park near the business and they trusted each other. They wanted to work together so most of that. I'm sure they put together themselves. Which is the way it should be. you know. it shouldn't be at that level. May telling you what you need to do in the rain. You need to be telling me what you're gonna do. And i need to be writing it down and call in to the truck because at that level at a top number one company in the world. You're to top guys. it's your show. You should be routed absolutely again. Thank you so much time in those were great answers always nice to talk to you. Thank you michael. Fall is here and we could all use a stiff breeze dance right. This episode is sponsored by blue guys. "Hold on we. I know we're starting. But i feel like my audio is coming out of my computer. Oddly enough coming out of your ass. I just don't want the wrath of josh like hearing an echo on my thing. Because i'm not wearing headphones. I know by the way josh is like sneaky. Funny he's really fucking funny. Now is the care now. He's thrown us some curveballs here recently. like when he got arrested for it had they had to have arrested him for minor in possession because he looks like he's ten sima on the beach he texted saying. I should've said i use it as a visual. Cue like like my thing instead of actually drinking it. That's how he could have gotten out of the ticket. But instead he got busted on the beach with a bartlesville. James i was just gonna save our other than tainting stole that. He vast third waiting to insert bottles and Shits but i used to son of a bit stole my line bodies. What's up from. I don't know those familiar. It's not your fault doing get away get off of me. It's not your fault bro. it's not your fault in my boy. All right sorry so used to zima parties zima parties back in the day when it first came out we like got cases of zima think we were underage probably in and my friend. John had like a back house and we had girls over. They were like oh my god zima. We like fucking zima freaks. What happened zima. it's interesting because that seltzer. Which essentially it's that's what it was now has taken over the fucking world. Everyone's drinking these seltzer. There's now you have a white qila sir. Yeah arctic char. Whatever the hell. It's called like so many of them now now every brand does it. Corona has one. You know it's hot right now. Joe yeah at the seltzer market. We should do daddy issues. daddy issues. Seltzer which what about the idea of changing the whole messaging of this podcast and just every time. I think we should do it. We get somebody reaching out to us. That sends a text. Like this. And i'm not going to say the name but i am going to read the text that margot shared with us. If i can find him. Did you bother to read it. Skype is hard out. I did i got. I got a bit weepy from a guy named joe. Did know how else to reach out to you guys. The episodes lately have been such a huge help and some of my personal battles lately with my family relationship personal addictions and just the overall stresses of life. I know the show is growing. And i've shared it with countless friends and families and will continue to do so. Please keep doing what you're doing. I just wanted you to both know that these might be some of the most powerful conversations happening right now. It means so much your listeners truly benefiting from each episode and i look forward to the next one more than the last. Thank you for doing it seriously. Would love to chat with you guys more. If you ever need a random irrelevant guest. I appreciate you both immensely. I that makes me feel on one hand so great that we're doing this on the other. I feel like we should be doing more. That we're mooring our heart and soul into this podcast. If it's that important too. Somebody named joe. I know what you mean. I know you mean as far as the rebranding aspect of it goes. I think whether we cut whatever we call it. It's going to get in to the same areas. You know what i mean i think you and i just having discussions can go from the absurd to the real very quickly. You know whether it's called daddy issues or too sensitive men or whatever it is right you know. Yeah but yeah. Maybe but isn't that great. Though i mean i know we've fucked around. We joke about not making any money. Which is no joke. We do not make any money iraq but when you get these emails and texts and comments that say that it just it feels like it's all worth it for some reason you know i. It does. But i don't know what we're talking about. That is hitting home with this guy. So much over the last couple of episodes. That's what i say. I feel like it's the last couple of episodes although people seem to like troy's episode a lot. I don't know that we're we're doing enough putting enough thought behind this. We're just kind of getting on talking. Which i think is the the good and the bad of it. I was bothering me right now. Is that your legs are all vani what what is going on with you a why are you are you just thinned out or what's happening. Why do you have veins all over your right here. Yeah what is that. it's veins. i mean. I'm a vascular person. I and it could be just the lighting i. I don't know it's weird angle right now. I'm sitting sort of crotch to camera vibe. You know right. it's all right here. It's like having sharon stone moment that i don't want it gets. I could do this so awful. I have been working out though you know i have been running dropped a few. Lb's or just lbj's there's a l l l bean and they'll help no but i'm just vascular man like when i get my blood drawn. The technician gets excited. I'm the same way with with that. Part of my arm being very vascular i it always bothered.

Just go roy. That's better than lacroix because it's already got like a citrusy flavor to it then jolly rancher just adds another fruity flavor on top of the citrus flavor. It was like alcoholic sprite. I don't think i ever had zima house could shipment because i knew that hard alcohol existed. I love zima. They still know that hard alcohol exists he now not all of us drink just to get like drunk and five minutes. That why i understand. I tell people all the time when we're talking about booze like you know drink with mason's and should like oh this is some good shit. I'm like yeah. I drink to get drunk so anything. We'll do it for me. I'll take your cheapest bourbon please. Drunk nailed it. None of this shit tastes good. If i wanted something that tastes. I drink mountain dew. There's there's view wines. God definitely drinks mountain dew. And it's probably the cause of god that mountain dew was ever invented. I feel like god was like this is some good shit. You should make it in that weird dude. Who is making moonshine in the mountains. I dunno whatever mountain dews origin story. Who cares that was it. It's like i heard that some good shit in this is it and it's the shit then. Everyone's like this is awesome and then pepsi bought it and just you know. Capitalism happened but you know mountain dew do of the mountains. Because it's so good it is tasty the i occasionally will like to get just a regular old mountain dew like none of the crazy weird flavors of the have just like a regular amount mound. Doom like I could go for a do right about now. That's the thing mountain dew kind of pissing me off with all these goddamn stupid flavors. Like e struck gold with mountain dew. What are what are we doing here. What's this baja blast and fucking major meller not growing your shrinking orange. Fuck and read fucking. What's happening here you made mountain. do you nailed it. You nailed it on the first try. That can experiment with these other flavors. They always know they're going to sell classic mountain dew but they're taking up can space when they could be making more mountain two zero to put in the stores. But i can never fucking get it but there's plenty of fucking major melon and major mellon zero mellon it's disgusting. They really that bad idea. I've never tried it. Because why would i bounce terrible. It's not good exactly. You've got a surefire hit with regular do. Why would i try. Anything else tried mountain dew zero. And it's pretty good. It's pretty good. You know i. I'm not trying to get all these damn calories from mountain dew. So i'm happy to drink mountain dew zero and it's delicious but then i can't fucking get it at kroger but cvs still has it. Let's because people don't go to. Cvs for groceries dogs up baby expensive secret. "Never mind the dogfish head connection as well the you would think that with the folks working there. This isn't like your corner of metabolism where you've got You know we always joke about the fact that will when you're marketing and social media person shares the last name with the brewer. Exactly because hey. My brother knows how to post on instagram. I'll make him my marketing to regret. No these companies actually have people who do research and understanding these trends. they don't they. Don't get that excuse especially in such where you've got to be you know in the consumers face all the time with your brand. And yeah i decided just baffles me that one writer can say hey. It's here to stay. And it's one of the biggest trends ever and another they actual market data something else. So it's not that because boston's beers truly underperformed their projections. That's not what makes makes me say. Oh you know it's not going to be here to save flash in the pan. I think it's it will be around as a thing just like wine coolers why i remember when you know bortles james and seagram's i mean heck. We had them in the limousine at my my prom. Nice everyone did. The little driver bought them for. I think back to zima zima. Yup i still have that filming taste in my mouth from zima and it's been what thirty years since i've been able to try one but the film is still they're still there well then then then it was like schmear off ice and all those all the ice beers which was the same kind of thing right. It was just sugar in booze. And so i get it. I mean it's sort of in the same category but to say that it's that like it's a new thing like carbonated. Flavored alcoholic. drinks are a new thing heart shelters this new thing. they're not no. It's a retread of stuff that they've done past i think. The only differentiating factor here is to the significantly lower calorie count. All those others were very high in sugar. Yup and these are not so. There's a. there's that saying this out loud. That healthy lifestyle bent too hard seltzer. Shoot me now. someone's gonna take that. Capture me saying that you know the the healthy lifestyle. Drinking craft seltzer going. Oh god yes well. That's the only thing i can think of. That makes this a little bit new ish all throat issue at the end of it if you wanna go for healthy adult healthier. What's the healthier choice water. Well there's such thing as healthy eating healthful eating yes but you know. Let's not get hooked on phonics. How yet. But i don't know if you're making a scientific argument grammar argument they're probably a little bit of each low about the idea. That a hard seltzer or anything in that category could be. Because it's lower calorie could be considered like beneficial and good for you. Should maybe pick up a non alcoholic beer and actually get some damn vitamins and amino acids the rights right very true so it's no secret that we're big fans of that right. Remember remember beer coolers beer cooler mountain. Think oh yeah okay. That's yeah look it up look it up because that does ring a bell. It was called white mountain. I know it's very popular in cracks. Me up about it. Is it in my mind. It reminds me of wine coolers. Yeah when i was young. And that's when i was twenty one of course that's what i drank. The team. zima really reminds me zia. No right exactly and so in my mind zima and wine coolers was all like girl drinks like the guys are drinking the beer and the girls are those i thought with a white cloth the whitecloud totally dudes like so many guys drinking are so much. Oh dude zima like wine coolers definitely had a little bit more mail catcher your typical but that was like it was a good entry point if you have never drank before because it just tastes like a cool eight or whatever so i think my first alcohol i think was maybe a wine cooler or a really crappy beer and then i was like. That's no good. Try this like a friggin jolly rancher. Zima for sure that was for awhile. You know head of very short lifespan. But boy that was it. That one was kind of a unisex like we were really popular when we brazil into a party i well. We all have different experiences. You know my first drink was an operative was but it was quite a well. I it was me going into into my parents. Liquor cabinet there me and my friend and we're like let's take orange juice and then okay how about that and it. I'm going to be talking about mythbusters. this is another. You talked about sesame street and our last. We had talked about that. And i don't think we've talked about mythbusters. Mythbusters is amazing for so many reasons. So this is a series that was on discovery channel and then sort of spread everywhere but in any case started in year two thousand and three and it went all the way through twenty sixteen and it was mostly adamant jamie these two guys heading it up and they did. At some point. There was like the b. team the builder team a few people that would come in. That were part of it as well but they were sort of this. Whole idea mythbusters. So hey let's check these sort of urban myth type things but they were all about. Let's test it and talk about it so the first idea was like. Oh hey yeah. Let's talk about these things and that was like no. Let's actually tested them. And that's what made it a hit. Everyone getting actually watch these things happen. And that is also one of the reasons why it's a cool sheep for me. Because the show is the epitome of the scientific method. We actually use it in. The chemistry department will lamb university. We have our students watch mythbusters and they assignment of how is it. The scientific method and so what is their hypothesis. How are they gonna test their hypothesis. And then if you have to test it and then you have to change a little bit. Maybe if you're not seeing that didn't quite work okay. All of these kinds of things when you're deciding how to do an experiment. It's just so good in that way and it's really memorable like i brought this up to my kids. I was that i was gonna use mythbusters as cool sheet and they both at the same time said. Oh yeah. I like that rain one. There's one or they tested. If you walk in iran there's rain shower and you walk versus if you run the theory like oh if i run i won't be in. The rain is long or do you get more wet because you're running in any way. They both remembered that one. Which i think is fascinating And it just goes to show how they're just bringing in these ideas urban myths that are relevant everyday life in a very memorable way mythbusters. Short suga. yeah another og. Classy yes full. Yeah they in a nut sneaky way but you know they yeah they brought science kind to the forefront and Doing it super directly. Then that's why. I kind of it is kind of when i started liking. Science.

"And ruins it by attacking Carly gets away. Zemo escapes because rewind. Just a second walker handcuffed zemo to an engine or something. But i mean come on now some handcuffs for zima right. Whatever maintenance i guess handcuffing bookie or are Woo to say yeah. Exactly silliness anyway says emas out carly is escaping and zemo shoots her and he's not doing it like to be on this like murderous rampage his mo. This whole time is super. Soldiers are bad and we shouldn't have them in the world they shouldn't allowed to lick essentially a cannot. What's this exactly so once he realizes that carly has picked up. That's the rest of the serum from the graveyard has on her. He stopped shooting at her and starts to destroy the byles because again he does not want more soldiers but before he can finish taken out those last twelve doses walker hits him with the shield. There's one left walker picks it up and pockets. It and i was like he's gonna take it at some point because that's type person. He is back as emas zemo nursing a headache. Samson's a message to share saying. Hey like walker is shady. Can you please keep an eye on him k. Thanks bye also saying that. Like while i love. Zima was villain. I was like seriously get over your headache. Like you're such a diva got with a vibrating of shield. I mean give them a break. At least i mean that's probably like a migraine. Come on. But i was like seriously he was knocked out. You don't know ball just cracked me up. I was like you're you're drinking whiskey with an ice pack on your head and your feet up on your jury is couch. i was like. Do you really have a headache. goes out mind. "Based on his experience as a black man in america so anyways i was like well. I ain't mad at you. 'cause walker is a tool and he's one big grading sheet. Well he's a tool. Because this is a stanley for nearly cast. If this was not we have other words for him. But i'll let y'all like allows on your imagination fine. Thanks for reminding me wasn't going to say those words because of that but yes twolers matt is like extra family friendly. I know we're we'll stick with it for now walker and hoskins have caught up with sam bucky and zima. And they're like. How'd you try us this time. And he said you can't expect to show up a lot and not like you know. Be on the radar. Essentially the winter soldier and the falconer in latvia. People got cell phones. You had your getting coffee is that sounds like me. It's an that real quick so they find them and they're like you broke him out of jail. Bucket goes technically. He broke himself out of jail and facts. There are. There is no evidence only circumstances that they happened to be there that day. But there's no actual evidence that they broken out of jail. I mean he did tell sam hypothetically like he was like theoretically. Here's what does it happen. Exams like what you'd use it. I didn't do anything. He did nothing so he made left. An idea yes planted a seed. Yes maybe hypothetically hypothetically seeds aren't necessarily doing anything right. It's not a legal best things is it. Sure isn't so they're coming up with a plan to kind of confront carly. Sam wants to talk to her. He feels like he can reach out to her. She's grieving he understands. What you know. Veterans have gone through. Because that's what we met him when we met him in. Captain america the winter soldier. That's what he was doing. His counseling bets down at the va in dc. And he's like look. I can talk to him. Walkers i liked you know every time i say walkers name i like i just want to be like in a minute. Because that's how i feel when i see him talking to in my mouth so walker throws a hissy fit essentially like you know that's not gonna work. She's she's we'll just go in with force in there like guys like it's a funeral you're not gonna go in with force there's innocent people there so that's like again bella ringing. Here's the light lightbulb. Here's the red flag flying. he's willing to go into a funeral and cause chaos.

"The way they play him in this episode really they tried to take the essence of what they were going forward and civil war and trying to make it work better here in in in this episode probably in the series or in the season going forward We've taught plenty of times about our problems. Zemo in civil war. And unless you already mentioned that by the year he was essentially useless. I mean he had this whole extravagant. Plan I can him to lex luthor. Mbbs like batman superman. We're gonna fight whether or not he were here. Lex zemo captain. America and fucking ironman. We're gonna fight regardless of your quote unquote interferences. Get out of jesse shave. You handle only did the the comparisons to You know between those two movies Sorry kill you hate to hear this because you love civil war. But the comparison between those two movies are glaring. They both came out of the same year Just a few months apart. use a fantasy of war. Oh that's one of his favorites. Yeah yeah they both feature cores big blockbuster feis between two beloved heroes The cool part be quite. Yeah this is also bydesign though I believe it was kevin five. You said as soon as he learned that brothers doing movie a bbs he was like well. Let's kind of streamline the civil war thing and you know what we're going to raise the stakes. We're gonna paw to chuck and peter party. You're gonna put you in my opinion. Both movies have a really cool moments that ultimately miss the mark And so yeah. That's kind of where our i'm with them but anyways What i do appreciate about this episode at least about zemo in this episode is that while the are doing some subtle. Rick hahn work. At least they're making steps in the right direction. You know like the. They're not resting on the laurels and trying to sell the zemo from civil war. Who was just some dude who was upset that his family got killed. Like this is a zima who is barren who comes from a line of barons. This is who comes from money. Okay this zima. Who was capable this zemo who. I mean the planning structure in this episode. That part is still a little fast and loose for me. Even here But hopefully they'll pursues moving four. We get to see really the kind of strategic. Mind that this man has Because they are leaning towards that and into that. So i do like where this imos headed like this team on this episode way more than the zemo in civil war. Oh.

"There's somebody that's giving inventing superpowers. And maybe they're combining that character with zima. Maybe he's figured it out. And maybe he's giving these guys super abilities can't see how that could possibly go wrong all right. But i'm telling you right now. That i've seen a lot of people get kicked and none of them flew across the room like that. These guys got superpowers. She got some fucking superpowers. Yeah And i i think there probably is what it is like because i in the previous episode like even stated like in civil war one thing that we they said a sub force thinking that Cap are men and buck your walk into a situation where they're gonna have to face a bunch of super soldiers and then we see that bug. We see the zemo already killed them. Like those super soldiers died in their chambers. But who say as the modems to have the records of how similar was made or it may be still has samples or knows how to engineer it like. There's a lot of different ways to go with that but zemo definitely has a hand in creating this. Yeah i mean of course batroc is gonna come into this in some way to you. Know the the. That's gonna come full circle. There's no way it won't absolutely The they've gotta have their rematch What did you think. ri- right russell as john walker In the scene that him well. We don't get a lot of yeah. We get a pain around. I thought he looked okay in the suit. Obviously you know what marvel knows. They're very good at like knowing. What a motion. They're gonna you know inspire in their audience. And i think everybody was just like you motherfucker just like this abomination. We don't even know who you are but we don't like you anyway right. Not only did you give them the shield but he didn't give you that shield and you put him in the suit you put him in. The dam I think it's like the angel ultra. Oh my god official knows fucking coming all over the place from the aluminum thirty. Get the fuck outta here. Jake is still read from this announcement. This is this is not just all over the fucking place. Jesus christ. I got some quotes here. I guess from the falcon and winter soldier series. But it's coming out so quickly. I don't know if i want to go ahead article all right See here. Here's some quotes from this comes from the direct dot com in the spring of two thousand twenty one issue of disney's d twenty three magazine obtained by the direct the cast and crew of the falcon and winter soldier. Took a look at the evolution of daniel rules. Zemo in the disney plus series head writer kerry scotland reveals her excitement to work with the character with the fact. This story quote left him in a very dark place. This new chapter of his story will according to scotland. Show zemo as quote much more complex than we originally new. He's very exciting to bring back because we've left him in a very dark place and it's interesting to go with him on this journey. What was fun about working with daniel and all three of them is that we go on a very unexpected ride. And we discover things about baron zemo. We didn't anticipate as a result. We feel satisfied that the character is much more complex than we originally new falcon actor. Anthony mackie goes onto tease. Exactly how much darker. Zima will be then in his first appearance. Although macky describes him as quote trying to fit in he hints that the villain goes real. Bad real quick as well quote after the blip the big thing now is how do we all fit in. Zemo is back and trying to fit in and zemo goes real bad real quick. So that's a problem. Mackie's co star. Sebastian stan teases bucky barnes personal beef zemo on top of the overarching plot. In a sense as stand describes it the both have the both have a bone to pick and it may not just be with each other both bucky and zemo still have a bone to pick certainly with each other but maybe also with the world so as very inclusion was inevitable in my opinion the common theme from all three quotes is abundantly clear. Zemo is back and all hell is about to break loose so yeah. The last fan sobbed daniel. Brewers villain was black panther taking him into custody and speaking with everett. "You. Destroy you. Yeah. It's almost impossible nowadays to talk about anything without getting into politics because it's everywhere. All the fucking apology, everybody's saying I'm sorry. The fucking Tom Brady threw the Lombardi trophy from his bones. Yeah. To the other boat and the girl whose father made the Lombardi trophies wants an apology. Because you can't throw the truth. My father worked so hard in those things. He's fucking dead for years, by the way. Fuck you and the trophy. You don't offend it. Do you know what people do with the Stanley Cup? Right. The defecation. But you can't throw them in body trophy by the greatest cornerback of all time, you should be thankful he's holding something your father design you, stupid bitch. Right. Fucking assholes. I can't take it. I can't take it. Well, you know, it's the start of an authoritarian government. You have to be safe and it's not even to you can't even be quiet. You have to denounce the other side and it's just, I don't know, yeah, that's everything, yeah, no, the whole world is all about yeah, you've got to think like me, groupthink. And by the way, you know, The Lincoln Project, which was the group of people that were trying to oust Trump from The White House for years. I don't know if you know one of the guys in it, Sean weaver was found out to have spent years grooming young boys. 14 year old boys trying to fuck him and promising them jobs and internships. And people knew about it in castration. Yeah, I want to do it slow. I want to do it real slow. But all those motherfuckers out there like Chelsea handler and all these, I mean, I could name a hundred Democrats who gave money to The Lincoln Project and talk so glowingly about the project liberal women left this line. You know, how can the hate for one man outweigh what a bunch of guys or at least one guy is trying to fuck young boys. It's funny because you and I you and I grew up again through our lives and everything like we have black friends. We have Hispanic friends. We have everything. We fuck around with everybody. In front of us. Right. We make fun of them. It's open season. It's live. Yeah, it was great. It was great. If you notice, like, white kind of liberal that kind of pussy guys and all the white, crazy women, they have to overcompensate. And they have to like, where are you ally? Because it's I know you can't see it because I'm white. I am your ally, and they overcompensate and I see it. It's a lot of teachers too that I know. It's a lot of, you know, people on Facebook, all that kind of shit was the reason why I don't do that shit a lot anymore. No, but it's they overcompensate. It's very funny. I'm doing this on the Patreon show. I'm talking about Chris Harris in the host of the bachelor who he came on the controversy because there was a picture of one of the fucking bachelorettes at a party at an ante bellum plantation, but there was a party. A lot of people downtown parties and weddings on these old grounds where there were slaves and plantations and it's like, it's a thing down south. People aren't going to stay hate black people. I mean, Ryan Reynolds got married on one of these fucking places. And now you got to apologize. But Chris Harrison has to step away from the bachelor. And I'm going to get into more of it, but he was saying on the show to the he was in being interviewed by a chip from extra, I believe, who used to be on the bachelorette. So she's a black ex bachelorette who didn't get picks or right away, she's jaded. And she's like, don't you see the problem? And he goes, well, you know, yeah, but it was years ago. She went to a party. I can't be judge and jury for this girl. Like, he's just being really honest. Well, the network said, you found apologize. He stepped away from the bachelor. And his fucking girlfriend, Lauren zima, she came out and said, what Chris did was wrong. He's gotta be smarter. How fast would you? Yes. Fast when she became a fucking head would spin. I would change my number. She'd never seen me again ever. Chris is wrong 'cause she wants to be looked upon as being so woke. You separate yourself from your boyfriend. And then the other story, like, okay, first of all, a black girl decides to put gorilla glue in her hair to hold her wig. I heard this. From somebody who cuts my hair, I didn't know the blackness, so many wrong things that calling her gorilla glue girl. That's terrible. And you and a guy, a guy got fired for saying that Serena Williams guerrilla tactics at the net in a tennis game. And that's an actual phrase. And guerrilla tactic is a term in tennis. He gets fired. That's just drives me crazy. Now this black girl tests a brown, which means her mother couldn't spell Jessica. Right. Fucking puts gorilla glue in her hair pretty Hardaway. Anthony, tessica. And could you imagine it's almost, I can't even describe and every day we're seeing here's what gorilla glue girl will do with her GoFundMe cash. So every white person sends her money. Of course. Because she fucked up her hair with gorilla glow. Right. $20,000. Meanwhile, the Black Lives Matter, you put money to that. Guess where it goes to act blue? Oh, the democratic campaign. We all know that. That's what you know that. Are we all there? It's so obvious, but I'm going to help black people. I can't believe it. I can't believe every newspaper is calling for gorilla glue. I'm going to tell you right now. I'm not I'm shocked that they're not coming up with a new term for gorilla glue like extreme adhesive girl. Or how dare you. But here's the thing. When people say like, oh, all right, if they said girl a tactics, right? And then they go, well, that's racist. Why doesn't that person come back and go, what do you mean? Why? Are you calling Serena Williams a gorilla? No, like, why do you think that? Because I didn't think I didn't think that at all. I didn't think that you're thinking that. You know the racist cops sucker. I know. You know, it's unbelievable how that gets to that point. Like, wow. Who said it's fucking racist. You did. Right. You said it. You said you have it in your head. You have it in your head. So maybe we have to look at you. Of course. Fucking you. Howard Cosell? Power coach sales said, look at that monkey, go. He's said it so many times before that. But he said he's talking about his great grandkids. He couldn't catch him. It's over. And now everything we do has to be pro black to the point where to the point where I can't put on Netflix or Amazon Prime without them suggesting all these black movies and yeah, and it's funny. You talk to two people who would go out of our way to immerse ourselves in black culture. Right. I'm not kidding. Right. Black girlfriends, Black Knight clubs, black music, you know, I was your Friends. Love everything about everything. I don't understand, but I'm not like, I'm not to the point of I'm gonna start sucking your dick. Equal with everybody on that show. I'm not gonna fucking, hey man, you know, if there's a fucking if something's going on wrong, if there's a real fucking, you know, somebody's doing a terrible thing to black people. Of course, man, I'll stand fucking shoulder to shoulder. Whatever you need. But this Larry elder said, I think he goes, we can't replace like, you know, obviously white supremacy is.

How to Repair Your Skin Barrier With Celebrity Facialist Joanna Vargas
"Let's start with the basics what exactly is your skin's moisture barrier and why is it there. What is the do well. I mean i think you know we talk so much into butte and industry about like wrinkles and bo talks and things like that we forget the skin actually has a function and its function is to be a barrier between us and the environment so the skin's moisture barrier is the outermost layer of your skin. It helps protect the body It helps retain water and moisture It defends against like bacteria in the environment environmental stressors and you know prevents things from penetrating into the skin so that we don't have a reaction so it has like a a very important function for us. It's the fundamental of what the skin does and we talk about it at the least i feel It is the most important part about our skin because it makes us look plump in juicy and healthy and soft when it's healthy and so yeah it's something that's very important. No matter what kind of skin type you have no matter your age okay. Yeah that was gonna be my next question. Like other certain types skin types or skin eight inches that are more prone to having damaged skin barrier. Mostly i'm talking about like the skin on your face. Well i mean. I think for example like winter is a time of year where i think a lot of people experience to some degree Some irritation due to the loss of moisture in the environment. And therefore your skin gets a bit patchy may be if you are out during the day for a long period of time you'll have like readiness on your face but typically you know there's obviously people that have just in their dna some skin sensitivity. You know some psoriasis eczema. That's that has a genetic component you know and then there like the people who have poor digestion they might have some patchiness in readiness and some irritation. But it doesn't it can happen even if you have oily skin. It really depends on what you're using on your your skin. What your habits are in terms of your skin. Those really affected a great deal. And so how do you tell the difference between an impaired skin barrier versus you know wind. Burn or zima or psoriasis. How do you know if your skin barriers been disrupted. Well you know this skin house tendency to to show sensitivity patches. So i i'm sure everybody can remember a time when they've had like a dry patch on their face and may the rest of the skin feels okay or maybe you have my son. Has that right now. So i'm listening with the keenest ear. How old is your son. He's he's six and he's got a patch right beside his cheek that he's had for about six weeks and it just so drier and rudder. Yeah continue my boy who is now fifteen Have that as a younger person also happens easier because they play out. Fight a lot and that really dries you out. You know rose atia redness itchiness itchy skin and share a lot of people have itchy scalp during the winter all of back stock visible. Sign that your your skin. Barrier is malfunctioning so to speak and it needs some soothing and comfort and some rehydration ximines. Psoriasis are more extreme versions of it. which also occur in patches on the skin But there are a lot of you know that you would have to consult a doctor to really determine if it was something that was in your genetic makeup or if it was something caused by something topical or something in your diet like an allergy of some kind right right. Because i feel like that's with With eczema almost like immunity related. Or it's like almost like an immune response rather than it can be absolutely and it can also just mean that you're something that you can't digest properly and so your your bodies having a little bit of trouble. There are a lot of different causes for it. Which is why you know. You can also have a yeast overgrowth in your gut. But that would be things that if i suspected that if you came meant for facial and it looked like that to me i would just send you to a doctor. Not a doctor. So i don't right. I try to stay in the lame a fair and respect that and so how does the skin barrier become damaged or compromised. What are some of the main you know factors you know. A a very common factor would be over exfoliating. I remember when i first became an esa titian in the late nineties. It was like a fashion to have cholic acid in every single. Step of your routine. In how like in the beauty industry like ingredients. Become like the thing. And you wanna put it on in every step like i had clients that were using a glycol at wash ugly colic toner a glide colleague serum and moisturizer and everybody's skin was like flaky and read and sensitize. It was very hard to give atias to those people but also sun damage can cause it. You know Prescription acne medications and prescription retinol formulas can cause it. I've seen people use essential oils essential oils on their face and they get Compromised if you if you wash your face in the shower shower water is way too hot for your face back could cause it Chemical peels flying too much back in in the before time when we used to travel places on even air conditioning in caused so mike mobs of different causes But usually i would say the number one offender is over exfoliating or over. You know acclaimed being over eager in the chemical kill type department. That sort of stuff now. I i have a follow up question if you don't mind about is the prescription retinol because you know my skin does get extremely dry when i use it and And it starts to become red. And i feel like that's expected you kind of expect this dryness. So what is the difference between dryness and compromise skin barrier. Is there one. Well sure i mean dryness is the beginning of it right you don't you don't want your skin to be overly dry because that that is compromising gonna lead to you know craziness which will lead kind of like the the compromising actors like your. Your skin won't be able to take as much stress from the environment as the result of that overly dry situation. You're creating. I don't have a lot of clients anymore that use prescription retinal because there are so many great over the counter formulas. That don't do that. So i i feel like that you know. I've been in sedition for over twenty years. That's changed a great deal at least in new york. But i think you know the difference between having you know when you like right now. I'm extremely dry. And my skin feels a little bit tight but it's not read in. It's not flakier itchy when it starts to become itchy in certain spots. That's when you know you've crossed over into a compromised moisture barrier and that and you know you really should wait until that point to start treating it if this dried tight feeling. I'm going to have to handle that today. So it doesn't
Electric Propulsion is Positively Electrifying

The cracks. Were often readmitted to the hospital on -sarily and frankly lacked some of the systems and support That were needed. Stay a healthy in and out of the hospital. So we built a program Initially that provided resources both Obviously in the hospital setting but then in the home and community setting dwell and we had we had to knit all that together to be able to To help people in San top aware their challenges were arising sort of outside of the normal visibility of the healthcare system. And so we talk. We turned a two voice technology. Clear back then and Started with Interactive Voice Response and built a an application that had allowed Heart failure patients to report in every morning on how they were feeling and how they were doing. What vital signs were whether they're taking over Madison? Simple things actually. But more importantly it gave us in our staff daily visibility into how they were doing and whether there are any changes that needed support or additional services and low behold we are able to prevent you know about fifty sixty percent of hospitalizations in that group of people and That led to an opportunity for us to start exploring other chronic diseases and see if the model could apply elsewhere so we moved on and did diabetes and Lung Disease of Zima chronic asthma. Things like that And then I'm in early two thousands Low Behold Um had an opportunity to Help the US Senate Think through how they would like to see the Medicare program Adapt these kinds of approaches to save money and improve outcomes for the Medicare population Which led in turn to Taking what we had developed in terms of our technology at northwestern and began commercializing that as our first startup Back in two thousand and four I in two thousand nine After maintaining a day a week and clinic It became pretty clear that it was tough to negotiate contracts in between Patient visits and I was really Sort of doing a disservice to people to try to keep my foot into canoes and so had to make the choice to give up my Clinical practice. But you know it's interesting as Dr Amok Vanessa Miss Patient Care and the answer. Is You know for sure right. I mean I love interacting with people ella of Helping others and And fortunately many of those things have continued on in my entrepreneurial. Career what. I don't miss so much or some of the failings of broken healthcare system that really needs transformation and so Philosophically I just had to make the choice about where I wanted to try to help that. Transformation happen and And really enjoyed and thrived in Some of the business model innovation work that it takes to really transform IT industry I'm hopeful that over time my career will leave a A testimony of having supported the transformation of healthcare in a in a meaningful way. That's great that's great so I mean that's a very interesting background because when you talk about Ivy. Are you doing this longtime ago way? Before a lot of these people have entered the voice space as we know it today with the voice assistance but now in your latest iteration with this well said maybe we can talk a little bit now about that that that transformation so you went from the. It are and now you've got this company well said and what does that look like how how did how did that come about. And what does the product do? Yeah well let me start with how we got here. And then I'll tell you more about our company what we're up to but You know as we were Growling and and Building out Our initial company called Pharos Innovations We really started to hear about and see voice assistant technologies starting to emerge and Every holiday we would hear about how The Google assistant in Alexa devices. Were flying off the shelf and we we sort of scratched our head as a management team and said Hey. Wait a SEC. Maybe we ought to be thinking about bolting this technology on our Ivr Platform Armas another user interface opportunity and it had a lot of compelling reasons why we should do that but there were two constraints that we were struggling with one. Constraint was That the devices at the time were not set up for her. A compliant Interactions is that we had We had that challenge and then the other challenge. Frankly was that As a as a enabler of health care We are often at arm's length from the actual users of technology and that had some real disadvantages as well if you're going to iterating learn. I'm as as those of us know who are Into our lean startup technology or methodologies. You really need to talk to your customers you willing to talk to your users and understand what's working what's not again given the complexities of having worked with the senior population for a long time We knew that this technology would bring its own sets of barriers and challenges that we needed to understand how to overcome in order to do that. We had to get in front of older adults
Coca-Cola revives 'New Coke' formula for Stranger Things
"On all right. New coke. Do you remember new coli do was kind of a failure? Yes. Failure failed product from the nineteen eighties is coming back. The company is bringing back a limited number of new coke cans, why in the world would they bring this back? Well, it's an honor of the upcoming season of stranger things the product will be featured in the latest season of stranger things. Of course, that's the one thousand nine hundred eighty s horror, yes show, that's on Netflix really fun show. Anyway, the third season of that show takes place during the summer of nineteen eighty five. That is when Coca-Cola debuted a new recipe for psychotic bread, verage new coke. And it was a major flop consumers reacted, so poorly to the new drink coke pulled it from shelves just after a couple of months. And it was rebranded remember that it was coq to for a little while. Yeah, it's sweeter. It's supposed to be smoother. I remember trying it but I don't remember what it tasted like this entity. I didn't like it. I remember when it came out. So then we had. Coca Cola classic. Remember they brought back the old which I liked. I liked it a lot and we were just talking during the break. I don't take a lot of soda anymore. But when I do, I'm a big coke zero fan, which new thing, I'll, I'll get a little beef ahead with that product of the sucker, I love the fact that stranger things if you haven't discovered this on Netflix, great show, but as you watched the show, you can see some of these reveals about what life was like, in the aid money. We're we reboot everything TV shows, we reviewed movies for rebooting soda everything Zima Wednesay coming back. I mean, everything had never that was that was a thing for a while. And then a funny how this hip fashion, we reboot all the time. Fancy stuff. Here's a here's a I was talking to some of the other day. And we're talking about disco now. I don't think discos gonna come back, but there are still places you can go and disco dance if you want to use it, but member right after that was the urban cowboy era. It was all thinking, western with that, come back. Why not could you imagine? I can remember going to bars in Milwaukee. People get westernized getting news, new coke and rum. That's right. It's funny what we kind of we kind of latch onto, but this was one of those pop culture moments of the eighties, if you weren't around, then this was a big deal. Well, it's actually brilliant in a way because this is exactly the type of thing that the internet loves social media loves the ceiling of something like this. Coq isn't serious like this isn't like, some they're doing this because they know those styles of behind it. There's people like you good. Let's get it just to get, hey, remember this blah, and they'll get all types of reaction. Online, people will hate it or love it, and you'll make some money, and you'll say it's a limited edition and it's a good call by stranger things am by soda and Coca Cola. Here's my coke rants. So I liked coke zero. When I do drink soda, but they're bottling their packaging. They have a lot of flavors of coke zero that just a regular coke, and there's cherry orange. And there's a couple of other ones. They all look the same. So if you're not paying attention you grab it off the shelf. You have the wrong one I was expecting coke zero regular coke zero yesterday. Sunday and got coke zero cherry now. I still drank it wasted. So put it down. But it's this needs to spell it out a little more clearly, you should send them in. No, I'm hoping that the CEO of coke is listening to the show, and he can make that they're oftentimes, not just in a tweet complaining, and then flagging them in the tweet, but actually sending emails or sending letters. Sometimes get you what you want. I don't know if you pay attention to my tweets Eric. But the only thing I complain about on Twitter's people that don't like game of thrones other than that very positive person. Here's another a lot more people who don't like game. Thrones now. Yes. Yeah. Exactly. Real quick on stranger things. It's not just about the new coq. Here's some of the other things that they, they highlight never trapper keeper notebook thing I had those kid of the eighties. So everybody had one of those action figures. He man action figures prominent display and one of the kids rooms music, Toto's Africa clashes song, should I stay or should I go, and I kind of song, they have clothing that from. Era, some of it recreated by the retail outlet H M. They do it writes, in one of the things that makes that show. So watchable is the fact that they're trying to be true to that era the hairstyles you're the shady here on the on the boys and even how they directed. Produced is pretty remarkable. The music everything about it. Yeah. So new coq back limited time only if you're a fan of that beverage here you go. I want to beat the one person. He's a fan who actually remembers what it tasted like the rarest person on earth, somebody who liked new coke

"Hello, James, welcome back from Comecon thanking Larry. It was a fun week of great news for shown fairs, including the return of popular Star Wars series. Some great footage of Godzilla aquaman and wonder woman, and the doctor made a house call in San Diego from Great Britain. So it was a lot of fun and you can read all about it at Donald news dot com. So now you're all rested and ready to go. What's the news? It's the best working vacation ever. Let's go Nikon. Officially announce their full frame merely camera. It isn't often that the rumor mill of spot on Larry, but in the case of Nikon's new merely camera it is with a huge sixty five millimeter lens opening the Nikon, f, z, full frame camera will likely borrow a lot of features from the eight fifty, including a variant of their home grown sensor that they put in the fifty last year. It will come in two different models, a higher and professional forty, eight megapixel model, and then the consumer grade twenty four megapixel model. Both will shoot four k. video with Nikon's flat raw profile, and it has a new Zima lend system and Nikon assures everyone that though have an gap there so that everybody can continue using their legacy lenses and look for it to come out by the. Spring of twenty nineteen. Why Assam mirror less cameras. So important. I mean, DSL are still dominant. Aren't they? Well, yeah, but not for very much longer reports are showing that merely camera sales and rentals are beginning to outpace DSL ours. It's exciting to see Nikon putting a lot into a higher in Maryland model, and if it's half as good as the fifty, I think Nikon sure going to have a winner that could leapfrog them into the higher in camera game and go ahead with the Sony alpha series. It'd be interesting to see how cannon response to and the talk is we're going to know about that pretty soon. All right. That's Nikon. What's our next story? Apple has addressed issues with thermal throttling and the new Matt book pro. Apparently, there was a quote unquote missing digital key, which was causing the macbook pro to throttle down almost instantly below its rated specs during higher performance applications like rendering video and game playing that type of thing. So apple issued a firmware fix that. Not only solves the thermal through. Totaling problem, but brings the benchmarks backup to the performance specs in its rated range. What's your thinking about the facts? Thrilled that apple responded quickly to it rather than doing the typical song and dance that takes forever like the butterfly keyboard issue had. But my problem is how many times since Tim cook took over, have we heard about bugs that are plaguing the performance of apple products? I'm not talking about a little bugs. I'm talking about major bugs that affect battery performance in processor performance. It's almost expected now Ghana, the gaze at apple saying it just works and it's clear to me that the company is more interested in sales numbers than releasing a product that is as ready as the hype says, it's of Jayme software is much more complex today than it was say, ten years ago, it seems unrealistic to expect almost everything to work perfectly. That's a fear criticism I grant you, but you have to admit that we've all been spoiled by. Job Sonian expectations. Steve Jobs was obsessed about releasing a product that was perfect, and Tim cook just isn't that way k. that's apple. What's our third story and Sony has updated the firmware for the Senate Alta Venice Cima camera being used for projects, ranging from music videos to commercials to features,.
