"zillah" Discussed on The Peter Schiff Show Podcast

"They said we were just temporarily pausing the business. Well yesterday they made that temporary pause. Permanent and zillow announce that it was completely exiting the home flipping business. I forget it was gonna take. Maybe like five hundred million. I forget the exact amount of the charge but huge right down for a loss and they were gonna fire twenty-five percent of their employees. I guess all the employees that were somehow related to this division. I guess they're all gone and so now they're gonna go back to their traditional business and in fact on my podcast i remember the day that zillow announced they were going to do this. I had the same criticism i said. This is a ridiculous business plan. It's not gonna work. The thing is the price of zillow stock today even though it dropped twenty four percent on the day right. It's about sixty five dollars a share. It was as high as two hundred eight this year. Back in march the stock was at two hundred and eight. So it's at sixty five but if you look at where the stock was when they initially announced that they were getting into the home flipping business. I think it was still below fifty dollars a share. So if you shorted the stock day. They made this asinine decision. You're actually still losing money if you were dumb enough to buy the stock because she thought this was a good idea even though they just exited the business and admitted it was a massive mistake you can sell the stock and make a profit which obviously shows you how difficult it could be some time because you could be right and know that zillow is making a mistake but the market doesn't know that and so you could be right but lose money a lot of people who bought zillow back then were wrong. But they made my now. Of course zillah was a great short short it when i talked about it a month ago. Once the problem started to manifest themselves in a way that should have been obvious. What's amazing to me is how many people are still clueless about the problem with this model. Even after zillow warned about it. Because i read today that kathy would right very famous investor. She's in these arc funds. She buys all the overpriced high tech stocks. And everybody thinks she's a genius because all the stocks that she owned has gone way up. of course. she's not smart again. There's another wall street expression. Don't confuse brains with a bull market and in this case it's not just a bull market. It's a bubble and so you definitely don't want to confuse brains for a bubble because it's an even bigger mistake than if it's normal bull market. Any fool could make money in a bubble if they just by all the bubble assets. And that's exactly what kathy would is proving and to prove how much of a fall she is even after zillow came out and said we are pausing this home flipping business because we have all this unsold inventory..

Taking Handwritten Notes for Live Players

"Hand written notes for live players. You have to have a two step process step. One is to put something in place whether it's a piece of paper a note pad and a pen or maybe evernote on your smartphone. You have to have some kind of process for taking your notes and What you need to do to help you out the most right. You don't really wanna ride out full blown notes like three hundred word hand histories right. You have to learn to develop a shorthand for the hands that you're noting and you have to record this critical information. Four pieces the type of player up against everybody's positions who are involved in the hand the actions made and the bet sizes made for example. If you have a sa- clubs queen a heart. The shorthand for that would be a c q h my simple right clubs queen of hearts. Pf would be pre flop action f. T. r. flop. Turn river the board on the flop. The turn of the river. Whatever the cards are you want to write those outdoor type them out in evernote but if the suits are important make sure you include those like a h for ace of hearts ki. Ay que de for king of diamonds seven s for the seven of spades. If somebody makes a half pot seebeck just put pot. Cba if somebody makes a quarter pot dunk bet one slash four dunk. Something like that. Of course record the player type. Like i said maniac fish tag lag. Recreational new player. Whatever you wanna say and make sure you use positional shorthand for For the positions right c. o. for cutoff bt and for button bb forbid blind once you do this a few times and you get some practice with the shorthand. You're going to become much better. And then you're shorthand notes might only contain like five quick lines. But that's going to be enough to take that hand history to flop zillah and really analyze your opponents ranges in their post flop

"Dad. I want you to have my wedding album pastor. So i can do that officiate. The wedding by what she talked about she wasn't just about me officiating the wedding vows and so on which was enough but of course as the father of the bride. She wanted me to walk her down the aisle and she also wanted me to give the father of the bride speech at the reception and To also to Have a father daughter dance with her at the reception on all those things it'd be expected but for some reason it just scared me to death in fact the image ahead in my mind. I'm not sure why. I got this from is did not want to become a dad. Zillah adad zillah. Maybe you've i. Apparently i just had washed or something about bridezillas. You know these brides. Who and i've worked with a few folks like that brides. Who are really hard to get along with and kind of mess up the wedding for everybody else. Because they're so demanding or they're so self-absorbed or they just make life painful for everybody else and that came to my mind. I do not want it. Of course i remembered my my daughter was all about and how i guess flashback to me her as a little girl and all the things we experienced together because i spent some time as a single dad to her her mom and i went through a difficult divorce and there is some pressures in all kinds of ways and parenting and single dead and getting remarried and all the things that came along with that and a lot of that stuck in rushing back when she asked me to perform the ceremony and all the other parts but for some reason i had. This is going to be a dad's he'll i was going to ruin everything because she said that she wanted us to be the best day of her life. And i'll be darned if i would you know everything in my power for make it happen but i had in my mind that i was gonna trip down the aisle going down the aisle that i was going to mess up the Mess up the vows..

It makes you wonder if any federal person will catch wind of it and give a shit. Yeah man not that unlike championing like sending someone to jail but that that's just bad man. Yeah i mean it's bad to like to do that and then act like you were just kind of like a puppet. Yeah whole thing. Yeah like his apology video. I don't believe everything you read. And everything sounds super premeditated as far as like. Oh if i get caught. I'm just going to do this. I mean we were wrong. Remember i think we both were saying why. Don't you use like a million different wallets. Yeah look missile. they did. They did they did that. Yeah for that is also kinda wild to and he brought up a forensic accountant. Like oh yeah. That's all we take just pay someone like that. Forty forty hours of work and look show next week like all right. He put the money here yet. There that aspect of it. I wish a forensic accountant would take it over. Yeah just at least give a detailed picture of like okay. This is how much they made. This is where they put it. Yeah cetera et cetera. That would be an insane fall up but yeah seems like the steam behind giving a shit about gambling and all that has definitely died off. Yeah i don't know when people people are talking about it but you know. I don't feel like anyone. promoting crypto. Gambling is really that much hot water anymore. Anyway you're yeah i'm fine. I'm just chilling chilling. Sure i just didn't want to harp on it too much. Because i can already hear everyone telling us. Enough enough crypto. Now that's fair. That's totally fair. Nothing really has happened in the past week. No that should anyway. Not at least crypto. Yeah i tried watching the the new purge and that got to that scene. I was dying laughing. Where'd you learn how to use the deficit. She's like okay is she. he's i fell asleep man. Did you really smart. Little bit before so That's the only reason. I brought the story to let you smoke weed. Okay sick fuck. Yeah so we can move on. Yeah i remember a time where i smoked weed. Let's cool yeah. Did you get high. You'll yeah i've been higher than you though. I mean i was pretty high. How high were you like really high. Like how high on a scale of one to ten ten okay. Yeah i was attend to probably like ten point one then. Yeah i mean. If this went higher i would be higher on the sale already. What would you be depends skill. Goes if you put a number on it. Well let's say one to what hundred it'd be one hundred. I'd probably be one one then. We'll skill doesn't go that high. But i i like tip the scale. That's not really what that phrase means. But that's how i am right now. Oh you're right now. yeah. "Zillah told me about the the very first bird that you ever had in your life. Tell me about poll. well that Little budgerigar also only a short periods and it was given to me. I don't know why it was given to me. But i think my father had something to do and you might have known somebody who who knew somebody with birds as you know battery. Cows are still the favourite pet bird in europe so they're readily bread there and This bird was particularly. Young was only a few weeks old and i was fakes. Hijacked but also very insecure was nine years old and i was given full responsibility of the birds. I started asking around everything and the grandmother gave me a few tips on what i could do. An mind thing is to gain the trust of the birch. He said that's absolutely the mind thing set out to do that. Doesn't speak my language. Mike put little food on your hands speak to it slowly and make every movement very very gentle and slow so i spend every day in the first few weeks was just my hand in. There entered nearly dropped off which. I didn't never doubts too and that was very successful. The bird eventually came to me and unsettling and didn't need to be in the cage at all and accompanied me in my homework and usually set on my desk and when the bird sort i had done enough homework. It grabbed the pen and threw it over the side of the disc.

"Smells Zillah the broke his toe moving something in shower the other night. These guys get paid millions of dollars. Why would they ever try to move furniture their themselves? I you know, I think it's, it's just a decorative stand. It doesn't say he's trying to move a couch on war or something. But yeah, that's tough the raise. I believe the best record in baseball. And this guy is one of the top few pitcher. So did I see you canoed only out there? You got some tickets to a game. Yeah. Was offered some raise ticket some really good seats and a parking pass. So, so I figure I'm gonna take my son a chance to win me over. Yeah. What's gonna win? You over free parking. Okay. If you don't really care about baseball right now. No. I could though if I have no other sports, I want hockey to still be going on well in the next month. But if that goes away. You know, the magic or in the first round of the playoffs, but I don't have any great design that they're going to. I mean I love to see him get past Toronto. They got game tonight. They stole game one. Thanks DJ Augustine, but I'll need some sports. So he'll nice little ball yard trip with Masan dark times for you. Might be raised. Oh, I'm starting to turn around the raise. I think they're running a nice, but the establish there seem to be doing well, and I mean, on the baseball operation side of things, they, they put together a great team of what they have, I think, ours marketing, and all that goes, that's another story. Correct. Today's it's okay. It's not. Okay. Surrounds one Kellen Winslow junior, this dude is an odd fellow played with the buccaneers in a couple of other teams and then kind of flamed out, right? Like, just flamed out of the, the NFL, a decent career, but yet, obviously, doesn't loss to long sure especially for a big ass tight end. And what this guy is into. He's into he's into elderly porn allegedly. And he is scheduled to go on trial this month. On charges of raping a fifty four year old woman raping a fifty nine year old woman, exposing his genitals to a fifty five year old woman. And the creme de LA creme masturbating in a hot tub at a gym next to a woman who is seventy seven years old. He previously was accused of unauthorized entry into the homes if not vaginas of two other women in June their ages. Seventy one eighty six why are you laughing, John? I'm not laughing. I just feel like I, maybe you might have defended him a little too early. Yeah. I mean, I knew he did some bad stuff. I know there was so much bad stuff. This is a lot of this is elderly, well, the thing is that I don't like okay. Elderly porn. There's nothing wrong with other Lee porn. So that that's the story obviously, is that he's allegedly raped these elderly women and all these things, and then they found elderly porno on his computer. Right. And they want. They wanna use that against them. And that's today's it's okay it's not okay is because his attorneys are saying that the porn searches have nothing at all to do with the charges. So is it? Okay. I mean, I think he's man, I let's break this down. How do you get into something like that? Normally would be, you know, a like an eighteen nineteen year old or are nice mills, you know, but to go to seventy okay that's I have two possibilities for you to hypotheses. Would you like the fun one? Or would you like to depressing? Real fun. Fun, fun. The fun one is during Kellen Winslow juniors. I self love session. He was flipping channels trying to find an attractive woman on TV. He accidentally stumbled upon room clan, Betty white be Arthur and Bette Davis. No not. Bette Davis, Betty, white and the golden girls. And he accidentally tossed off to it thus developing an inadvertent attraction to the elderly. That's my fun version. I don't know if I want to hear the provided the funding and before the break. Elderly porn. Is this, this is something, you know, it is not something, it is not something that I want people are open to be turned on by whatever they want to be turned on as long as it's not hurting others. So. So you can be into elderly porn without being a rapist to me being a rapist in being somebody who's into elderly porn are two different things. Now he has a track record of raping and sexually assaulting older women. So I can see the tie-in from the porn, but when you've rate or done things, the women that many times against their will that would feel like enough proof for me that he obviously likes elderly women, John. Have you watched elderly porno? Okay. That answers everything tossed off to. No, I don't think so. I mean, come on. It's okay. I have not what's elderly. It's for no, man. What was elderly to you that day did? I mean it's older. It's old how old. And. Is it just for curiosity or you're not like I have to go to like some like aren't easy. Elderly porn on porn. You talked about it like it's like it's legal. It's not coming up on the most. Sometimes you try different areas all of a sudden. They'll just, you know pop up. There's a lot of things that pop up that area is called L elderly porno when you type into Sirte. That's not the, you know, that's not true seniors. Having fun free free fun to porn video Eighty-one on X hamster. John was at senior having with a young man that was going to town or was it an older man in the younger woman. God. Oh my God. This is so wrong. This is. So what's happening here..

This is Josh Kraushaar last night CNN at five different town halls Democrats. He said I had the craziest dream last night. At the democratic primary for president. Devolved into a debate. About how best to get an absentee ballot to the Boston. Marathon bomber that's been going in that direction. You wouldn't if a -ticipant of that going into these? But ended up being how do we get that absentee ballot to the bus there on bomber? He could be the kingmaker in this race three. Everyone's looking for the lucrative Boston. Marathon bomber endorsements right? Really? I want to get to this. I love this visual here. So I'm going to share it. That's the end of it. Because. I want my show the Mike Mike Slater shows ever told me what to say what not to say on the show. So. This is all from Jonah Goldberg. He said every generation humans start from scratch. As Hannah Arendt said, who's a philosopher Murli nineteen hundred. She's at every generation this is this. This is the line is what I really want to share every generation western civilization is invaded by barbarians. Okay. I think about that. Every generation western civilization is invaded by barbarians. We call them children. As babies we'd come into the world with the same programming as Viking, Hon or cavemen babies. These by Burien need to be civilized. And that's a job primarily done by families. We teach barbarians how to be civilized in the broadest sense of the word through formal education religious, teaching social norms and the modeling of proper behavior. In other words, we assimilate people into a culture because think about that visual. I've never thought about that before. But every generation we are invaded western civilization is evaded by Barberi. We call them kids, and we need to assimilate them properly into a culture because they don't know how to on their own. As Alan Wolfe writes than a discussion of Kant. Is a worthy quo that slow this down here. As cultivating a field yields a better product the arts and sciences, cultivate, us by improving the quality of who we are. No wonder then that we look for a term that expresses the way we improve upon nature, we use culture, which has the same root as cultivate. Cultivate, the field yields a better product, we improve our culture. Of people creates a better person and society civilization expressed in German, not only as Zil give me a little German and German Zillow Seon, but some German though. Owns if you want to speak with German useful to have to talk. Lexi's. Yeah. Say lot Zilan side. Give a Spanish for some reason. So I can't get out of my head like civilization. I can't do it because it makes you onto on its Fultz nigga, let me let me talk to you can sit. Zillah Zillah soon. Sounds closer. So expressed in German, not only as. I don't know how this works, man. Because it's got a Z start out. That's a weird thing. The third syllables of v. Zivinice today. I can do I could do Schwartz. Are they? The southern. And civilization expressed in German. Not wow, why can't I do the word civilization German? Someone listening now speaks German or has a great German accent? I just want you to call in and say the word civilization in Germany. Can't even know what put sound like little on execute. It all we could pull up the baht here. I want someone to call it. I want I want appropriate prone authentic and anyway, civilization expressing German, not only as Yang. But also Coulter. Far from corrupting, our soul makes it possible. For us to bring good out of evil. The ends of us. He says the way to sustain and improve upon a culture about the numbers one hundred seven sixty maybe the way to sustain improve about culture, as by fostering, a sense of gratitude for what is best about it. You celebrate the good in your story while putting the bad and the correct context. Gosh, I love it. That's awesome. So I like this idea. It's appeals to me this idea of looking at my kids as a as a sort of blank slate when it comes to culture, obviously, they are who they are personality wise in different ways, and we can the nature nurture debate there as well. But we bring them into a culture, we bring our kids into a culture. And of course, that's true. That's true. Just today actually trying to think what example and got one today. So Jack, and I we've been practicing our roar. The practising Jack's roar. Ben maybe practice for like a week or so. And Jackson F his roar. Just last night at a little this morning. Starting to show. A hint of getting out of control when this morning, Eric Jack roared at his mom. He he. But you missed the first part of the Jack we've been practicing roaring. Okay. Okay. That makes a lot. Missed the first half of the sentence. So we've actually roaring Rohr. Okay. So he's been a great is improving. Roar guttural roar restaurant. Okay, strong. I like that. But he he roared at his mom this morning. Was he upset with her? No, it wasn't out of anger. It was out of play. But you don't roar at mom either way. You can roar with your mom, but you don't roar at your mom does not that's not how that works. So I to teach this morning, Jack. There's a time to roar. And there's a reason to roar. And there's a time to not war, and there's certain people you never roar. And again, you are with your mom not at her. We went over that this morning, but the point is this. That's that's part of a civilization process. Right. I have this barbarian two and a half year old run around the house, and I have to assimilate him into the culture, the culture of our home and our family and our country. I want to cool opportunities. I got more to do here. But let me go to Liz here. Liz, I'm so sorry. I feel very culturally ignorant, can you help us with money with the Hello. Can you help? Or how do you say? Hello in Germany. Donka? Let's can you help us with the German pronunciation of the word civilization, try. I'll try to live there, and you have to announce she ate every single vowels and Yemen. So maybe yawn. Now, I can't miss it. Divvy. Janaka tricky, why did that sound like talian? Yeah. There's a lot of business there from there and same with Greek and with visit and Spanish maybe to essentially every vowel every vowel Zilei. Lisa. Lee. The on Lia there's an s in their Zil. The yes yawn. I can't accept that. Liz, I just feel that doesn't my brain doesn't want that to be the way. It sounds almost doesn't want migraine. I wasn't the way more gut early German than that. But I'll have to for the best. I got. So I think Eric can do. Who go with a list? Thanks for the call. Appreciate liz. Let me give it a try come on. Let me set soon. TV you set soon. German. Either Germany, all my voice is a little horse today. That soon. There. I got an expect that TV sets you so it is ceiling. Throw me for a little. Yeah. It doesn't sound German words end with the onset soon. Yeah. That's the weird thing. I would have never guessed it into like that. TV you set soon. Sione? That's that's on Spanish Italian soon. Romance language there. Anyway, I point right. I point cool idea bringing kids they're like barbarians to our western civilization. We have to raise them up into our culture. And we do it every day all the time mostly by watching soul. Right. And actually if you listen to the first segment of the show. No the. One o'clock hour. The show reluctant one o'clock hour. We talked about the what was the big word of us today. Dilatory is you wrote it down. Good for you. That you've writing down. I'm not. I'm very impressed on I thought. Well, it's a good word. It's a five dollar word. I don't know it kind of need to know it. Okay. Very good from pressing wrote it down. Thank you. Bye. Now, I'd like it in German. You can. German. Talked about the daily Leterrier effects of different DA's across the county across the country. Making certain laws. No longer will prosecute certain laws anymore. The moral degradation that that causes in people. Let alone the economic issues of that. But the moral problems. So, but that's a similar right? Like, a degradation of culture, but we need to do the opposite of degradation of culture. That's the building up of culture. We do it every single day with this invading horde of barbarians that we call children. And that is our culture. And you celebrate the good. And this is the second point. We'll make nice celebrate the good in your story, which is our story, western culture. We celebrate the good while putting the bad in the correct context. And we'll do that next one eight hundred seven sixty K FM one hundred seven sixty five three six to central flood management, Eric if you.

Summer Movie Preview

"The movies of summer twenty nineteen. What is out there? What's going to happen? And I've got to start by saying you think maybe that summer begins on your calendar near the end of June. But not in Hollywood everything in Hollywood begins early because summer is when they make all the money that they can make all year. So officially April twenty six it's the beginning of summer because the movie that opens on that day is called a ventures endgame. This is three hours long. Nobody's gonna care. I predict that not only will this be the biggest box office hit of the summer, but it will be the biggest box office hit of the year. You remember what happened last time all the ventures or at least half of them seem to turn to dust than die mean? Now have those ventures that are left to signing if they can beat the evil fan. He so evil will the adventures be wiped out forever. Look how much money did these movies make I'm saying why would you basically kill the golden goose? This is going to continue in some way, we all know it. So what else is out there? I'm looking at my list. There's a major thing going on now of in terms of taking the Disney slash Pixar animated classics and turning them into live action movies. So we have The Lion King line king. One of the most successful Disney animated movies ever is now being done as a live action movie. You have Donald Glover being Simba. You have James Earl Jones actually being this father and the same scores. They're the same using. And it's directed by John Fabbro who did such a great job with the jungle book doing the same thing that I think we can all feel optimistic about what's going to happen. And then we have Aladdin when we remember the. Animated movie who do we remember the most? We remember Robin Williams doing the voice of the genie. This time doing the voice of the genie and being the genie. We have Will Smith. So big stars in this big kind of thing, they tried it with Dumbo earlier this year, and that didn't quite work the way they wanted to do. But we're talking about lying king and the Ladan so big deal. Now, what terms of old fashioned animation is out there. I don't know if you're like me. But there's a Toy Story four toy stories always been my favorite of those Pixar. There's something about Woody and buzz light year, and you're probably saying to yourself. Well, and Toy Story three didn't it happen. That would he said goodbye, Andy. And he went to college, and it was all over remember. There was little Bonnie Andy gave his toys too. So we're going to have little Bo peep comeback. I think when you look at what goes on in Toy Story, you have that kind of feeling of goodness of field. Goodness, but done with all the magic of Pixar. So if those adventures out there are going to have a run for their box office money. I would say Toy Story. Four is going to be the one that does it. So what else we now have men in black men in black international? You're not gonna see Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones anymore. But this time you have Chris Hemsworth and Tessa Thompson. As new agents who are out there in this men in black universe. Sometimes you say to yourself do I want more of that? And you never know to actually see it. And I can only tell because I haven't seen this movie yet. But it looks like there's chemistry there. Then we have Spiderman far from home. You know, the Spiderman franchise never seems to end either. But we have Tom Holland who played him last time charmingly, I think, but now spider man, Peter Parker. They're taking a European vacation and the villain that they run up against is mysterious. Played by Jake Jilin. All I just think they're still some special sauce in the Spiderman universe, and I expect this one to also be a major hit. Godzilla Godzilla king of the monsters. I see that. And I go how much can they work this poor God's, but you can look at the trailer and see it. I like the idea that aside from viewer for Megan who is in it, Billy Bobby Brown from stranger things is in its she the dynamo. So if God Zillah can basically meet his match betting on little Millie to do something with that Hobbes and Shaw, this is fast and the furious you remember the rock of playing the the law man, and Jason stefon playing the outcast and the rebel these guys. I don't know if this is Hollywood kind of thing, but they tell us that Jason stadium and the rocked wing Johnson. Don't really like each other. And maybe that what the reason we love these characters and show so much because we liked that conflict. I don't know it seems a PR stunt to me, but I'm going to be there because this cars. There's the rock and their Stefa. So you're going to be there to and you know, it, oh and the big deal. Now, everybody has just in the midst of welcoming game of thrones back to their lives. The last season of that. You can't bear to live in a world where you can't see the stark sisters anymore. Well, now, you can dark Phoenix, which is part of the X men universe. Bring Sophie Turner, and she's Jean grey this character that we've seen before. But she's this younger version of her and she split between the good side of her and the dark Phoenix side of her. And to me, these girls are tremendously talented in what they do on game of thrones. And I think we're going to keep seeing them through the years, but her sister her at least game of thrones sister, maisy Williams is in new mutants part of that universe too. But in this case, they're all new characters to do this. They're all gonna be in the X men universe. Doing it. So that's it for the blockbusters that are out there. You've got everything from animation to comic book characters to everything. And that's the stuff that you hear about that your friends are going to talk to you about. But there's gotta be other stuff to part of summer is comedy of. I think we all really have gone through a long winter. And we're saying make us laugh give us something that will just make say, whatever. I can just sit back and not think. So what's there for that? There's a movie called longshot. This is a movie in which Charlotte Theran is playing the secretary of state who is running for president. But falling Manley in love with who staff throw in. Okay. It's like, a beauty and the beasts thing going on here. Seth Rogan is her speechwriter all of her people say what are you doing? You're going to destroy your career. But no, it's love. And if you don't laugh at the combination of Seth Rogan, Charlie staring. There's nothing left for you. And then we have the hustle. The hustle is a movie that used to be called dirty run scoundrels where the old days it was about conman. Now, it's con- women. They're played by Anne Hathaway and rebel Wilson. And they basically go all cross the continent finding rich people whose money they can steal pretty people. Glamour? What's wrong with that? Oh, book smart. This is directed by the actress Olivia Wilde, and it's about girls graduating from high school and saying we spent all our lives with our head in the books. Everybody else is going to parties and having fun. So they're going to do that beanie Feldstein plays one of them. She is the sister of Jonah hill and real life and Jona hill did super bad. This is kind of the women's version of super bad everything in it works, like a charm. You're really going to like that one. Then we have a movie called late night. This is about the TV talk show world and Emma Thompson plays. Probably the only woman on late night TV who hosts her own show, but she's got only men on her writing staff, and then she hires Mindy Kaeling who also wrote the screenplay of this movie, very very funny about what happens when you put women into what basically has been. A male bass they end of doing this. And the combination of Mindy king writing for the great Emma Thompson and watching them perform together is just so you've got to see that one to my favorite kind of thing. The dead. Don't die. You've got to admit that is a great and funny title. It comes from the indie, directing great, Jim Jarmusch. And it's cut people like Bill Murray and Adam driver by zombies. Okay. If Bill Murray is going to go out there and get laughs. Sizing up zombies. I'm going to be there watching him do it. So we have a good chance for laughs horror. I've got to talk about it now because it's not just the Cajun. Oh movie harm movie that makes money any makes people talk and get happy. It's they're everywhere. Now child's play do you? Remember the old child's play movies where you had Chucky. The crazy nut doll that. Always terrified me. Just. This doll who looks kind of little bit weird and freckly, but he has a voice on him like a longshoreman guess who's doing the west now of Chucky Marquel? Mark Hamill, Luke Skywalker. And from what I've seen of it in. It's just been a little bit of it. It's wonderfully malevolent, so I'm going to be there to see that one. Then there's Annabel comes home. Another doll another possess doll also part of the conjuring universe where a viewer for Megan Patrick Wilson. Or the demon knowledge is that tried to make sure that nothing bad can come of this horrible doll Annabelle, but Bill will destroy and I will be there to watch her. Do it then them that follow their certain titles that get me them that follow really gets me? And it's about a snake handling church in Appalachia. No, they there are there colts. And they're almost religious cult where people pray. But they have the snakes, and they hold the life thinks pass them on. And you're thinking, what are you tell me about this like CD movie Har movie will guess who the star of this movie is the freshly minted Oscar winner Ogilby Coleman from the favourite, she's tossing those snakes around so irresistible. I think you're gonna love it. Then there's the Nightingale. See it's does not stop. It's har- everywhere. The night and gas from the director, Jennifer Kent who did a thing a couple of years ago called the baba Duke, which gave millions of people nightmares. And now she's back there following a woman who is chasing a convict got to be hooked. And then midsummer midsummer directed by REI Astor who last year gave us hereditary with Toni Collette, a really scary movie. Now, it's at a nine day Swedish holiday where everybody celebrates. But they'll be no celebrating after this one. So we. Got a lot of stuff out there. That's just going to scare us witless. And I couldn't be happier. All right. When summer comes. We think of all the things I've just talked to you about blockbusters comedy horror action, the rock of everything is there, but every even in a season like this. It's all about money and getting us into our theater, there are those movies that can come out entertain us. And also will hear about them at the end of the year when the Oscar nominations come out and the number one movie on that list, and the one that I haven't seen anything of India's of anyone that saw even anything past the trailer is called once upon a time in Hollywood it is written and directed by Quentin Tarantino its stars in order to Capri, oh as a TV star on the wane in Los Angeles. And Brad Pitt as his stunt double whoever thought of

"Yeah. Goddess goddess Zillah. This is incredible. Can I say tell this story? Thank you so much. We're going to have to end because nothing can top. Just. In the book. I write about oh my God. I can't believe here. In the book. I write about an assignment that I had I was given this assignment in twenty fifteen looking toward knowing that Hillary Clinton was going to run in two thousand sixteen and one of my very favorite editors in magazines said, hey, you want to write about this crazy documentary? It was a documentary made about the nineteen seventy two democratic convention. It was the year that Shirley Chisholm ran for the presidency. And it was the year that the national women's caucus met at the democratic convention and there had been a documentary that was made financed. It was an all women crew and a feminist poet had directed this documentary. And then for whatever reason it had been kind of locked up. It had shown for five nights to sold out crowds. And then somebody had bought it and not distributed it, and nobody had really seen it since nineteen seventy three. And so it was this kind of thing trapped in amber and that nineteen seventy-two convention. If like, I mean, I've written about women in politics, you write about the nineteen seventy-two convention. It's also something because the feminists were there because Shirley Chisholm was running the journalism about it had been extraordinarily nor Ephron wrote a very famous piece about it. Gloria Steinem Betty for Dan had been there and very much at odds. There had been a huge debate about support for Chisholm and an abortion, plank and George McGovern screwing over the feminists. I mean, it's this big dramatic convention, and I'd written. I'd read all these accounts of it. But I'd never imagined that I would ever see video of it. And I wrote about this documentary, and it is it's an incredible documentary is called year of the woman, and in it, it is it's so a time capsule of that one thousand nine hundred seventy s performance. Feminist rage. It has incredible people in it flow. Kennedy who's one of my favorite feminists from the seventies Flo. Kennedy is like an all of her glory. And there are one of the things one of the demonstrations that flow in some of the other feminists participate in at the democratic convention, a whole bunch of news guys, including like, Dan, rather and Morley safer and all the sixty minutes guys are sitting on the convention floor during an off period reading, their paper smoking cigarettes and the women come down to yell at them. About how they weren't covering Shirley Chisholm, and they weren't covering the abortion plank, and they weren't covering the women at the convention and the guys mock them and these women the response is to put on paper, Michelle. Say lizard masks. And and scream like we're not freaks, but they're wearing paper, Michelle, lizard masks. And watching it through a contemporary lands. You're like. But when I wrote about it in two thousand fifteen again, I was always writing about anger before I was officially writing about anger. What struck me was the rawness of this fury that you could be so angry. You have Shirley Chisholm running for president. And you can't get sixty minutes to cover her speech. And you are so angry that it somehow makes sense. To put a paper machine lizard head. On your head and yell at Dan, rather? And it spoke to me of the time a time that I I was born in nineteen seventy five. So it was before I was born. And that I'd read about that. And it was so for me, and I couldn't imagine in two thousand fifteen and I wrote this at the time here, we were we were about the woman is not the outsider. Everybody's covering her. You know, the networks are covering. She's the establishment. This is Hillary Clinton. We can't even imagine a time of being so frantically furious at the margins that it would call for that level of rage. And then I mean, this is I write this the beginning of the book the year of the second women's March in January of two thousand eighteen I was flipping through Instagram on the way home from the second women's March. And I saw a picture of a woman in a paper machine lizard, math. And big lizard feet and big lizard boobs. With a sign that says got us Zillow got woke..

They have the same features other than the weather resistance and the battery that the three sixty offers. Well, I think the creators of guard villa came up with a great great product. "And leave them. There was like see us load away. That's it. Right. And then come back down a road. It's going to take awhile for God's to get back there. I mean, it just will. Now, this method has been successfully used against God's Zillah many times Godzilla King Kong in earlier movie and King Kong was able to get Godzilla affront bear hug king Adora was able to pick up Godzilla and playoff with them. My favorite name of all the monsters destroy did the same thing, but also drop Godzilla onto a highly explosive area in some facility, that's one of the ways guys died. Allegedly it fair enough if these monsters able to grab Godzilla never mind fly him off and drop them to his doom. What do you think voltron can do who again can move faster in flight super speeds, grabbing Zillow flame off into space and leave employing? There is really not out of the question. He's done that before other max again in the Netflix series now method number two voltron can kind of tell aboard by opening portals. Remember uses the quintessence field in opens up to different parts of the galaxy. So in the Netflix series, they create portals they ply through them, and these these Pearl take him to different parts of the universe. Or what have you why convulse on simply make one of these portals open it and simply push Godzilla into it or trick into going into by luring him in and simply get out really quick. At super speed includes a portal thereby stranding Godzilla away from the field of battle right in some distant galaxy. Now, there's a third method, and that's entered dimensional travel. And this is similar to point number two. Except the portal goes to another dimension. That's something bowl Tron. Again. The legendary. "So you decide the best course of action in the battle is to take that damage because it would put you in a position to counterattack effectively and feature opponent vehicle. Okay. Next question is Godzilla hero or villain. That depends on who you ask. I'm asking you in my mind. Everyone is a hero in their own way. James? Pete is God Zillah a hero or a villain. I'm gonna go full game of thrones on that question because God's will is good sometimes terrible other times. And that's what it is. And that's he's fighting. On the morals might be a little loose. Depends who got Sylla's fighting four really friend. Sometimes is okay. I think there have been enough examples of God Zillah actually trying to protect humanity against another. That's that's the whole point. He's not a clear cut Dylan, oh, not necessarily gonna destroy humans just for the fun of it. But he does often do that as well. Sure. When you fall on things and on things is a dangerous thing for people fair enough. All right. In the in the legendary this the voltron series on Netflix. How often when voltron was formed did an arm come off or leg come off or when attacked? That's that's what I'm trying to. Did he fight God's ill in that series? Because it would happen. Once is he answered your question. That's true. How how did you got do in voltron in the nineteen fifty series of the Godzilla movies? He was so powerful voltron didn't even show his face. That's right guys got killed very quickly in voltron. Like, I don't even I missed it. I'm just gonna stay with actor. Okay. Let me just gets my Altima points point number three. And this is a cheap way to win who would win fight Godzilla. Is that awesome that powerful and raise points are that bad. So I'm gonna actually go ahead and say it, it's battlefield removal time. Okay. So voltron this is really cheap. I'm gonna do it. Anyway, we'll try and has three ways to remove Godzilla from the field of battle number one voltron can grab Godzilla fly off into space.

"Can trust on news talk eleven thirty w I s an well this time around we're gonna talk a little bit about real estate, and maybe getting a mortgage, and we do have William Witter Hughes with he's with Commonwealth mortgage, and he will talk to him in just a bit. But first off I want to bring in Michael Borowski. He is with homestead a realty. How are you Michael? I'm doing well. Thank you cash. Mike. Mike is fine goal. Sounds like I'm getting yelled at for my wife. So I better say Mike that. Hey, thanks for being with us on experts. You can trust tell us a little bit about yourself, Mike. Well, I'm with homestead realty. I've been in the real estate business for five years part of the main reason why I decided to get into real estate verse. Switching from my tax career was the communication style that I was getting from a lot of realtors when I was growing my investment business. Sure. Sure. I I heard something about Zillah. What does that mean wall Zillow's one of the top premier search sites when looking for homes, I'm one of the top agents apparently out on Zillow right now. And wow, I get a lot of calls from buyers people relocating from different states and one of the top premier agents out there Zillow right now. So how many how many homes are we talking about here? Last year. I sold over one hundred twenty properties over twenty three million and girls sales is that average or is that above average in average realtor sells about forty homes a year. So I would say I'm definitely above average. Wow, kids family. They'll talk about them. I have a wife or name's Nicole. And I have a son and daughter name Weston and Ella. Okay. Well, yeah, you're with homestead realty. Let's talk about some of the specials that you're offering. Well, I'm offering a first responders discount, which also includes vets military, teachers, nurses, doctors three point seven five percent. Wow. Yup. And then I'm also offering an everyday rate of three point nine nine percent for any customer that decides to reach out to me and ask for help getting back to the first responders what what kind of motivated you to get get into that. I have a lot of friends that are first responders. And there was a tragedy a tragedy that just occurred this past summer and it hit near and dear at home to me in my family. My my son's godfather was involved in that officer involved shooting, and he almost lost. His life that day. It could have been. I definitely appreciate what our law enforcement firefighters and everyone that fits that bucket. I appreciate the sacrifices that they do. Good stuff. That's three point seven five. I respect seven five percent and the normal three point nine nine percent financing every day every day. How how are you able to do that? I don't know some some realtors they they charge six percent or maybe even more. How can you do that? Well, it it all depends on who you work for from a brokerage standpoint. I'm I'm able to have my own flexibility to set my own commission rates a lot of the six percenters that are still out there. That's kind of going away. It's a way of the past. And it's a it's a dying concept. Also that major big company is that what you're talking about. Yes. Does he have to offer something back to the company the major company, exactly? And that's how they make their money. But you're you're you're cutting out the middleman. Not the middle, man. I'm not paying for the large showroom, the the fancy new commercial buildings that are going up. That these brokerages are sitting in right now fantastic. Michael Borowski is our guest asks experts you can trust he is with homestead realty Inc. Now, I want to I'm on a personal note. I have a son who's twenty four years old. It's been out of school now for two years. He's renting up in Shorewood with staying at a pretty nice place with his his girlfriend not married yet. We're pushing we're pushing, and I'm pushing all the time saying, you know, why are you spending all this money on rent? I mean, he can afford a mortgage payment. What's the take me through the process? If I finally motivate him, take you through that process. Well, the process is definitely doing research on who you wanna work with as a realtor. It's also picking out some areas that you're interested in living in and ultimately getting in touch with a good lender. It's very important that you're in touch with a reputable. Lender and a reputable realtor because in those multiple offers situations sellers are going to go with their realtors advice. The selling realtors advice, and you have to have a good name. You have to have good ethics in this business to be successful. And that that's kind of where I stand out an accelerated, and that person will be Michael Borowski. Instead, I'll tell them that. Okay. So he's found you. He's found you knew. Now what happens? We'll now I ask them questions such as what type of house you're looking for. You're looking for a ranch you looking for a colonial what areas? Do you wanna live in? And Sutton price criteria with my tax background. I'm able to back in a lot of the numbers that they would rely on from a lender. So I definitely am available around the clock when most lenders aren't okay. And that one of those lenders could be William wet of he'll be coming up in just a bit works the same hours as me. He's fantastic. When we first moved here in back in ninety one. We got ourselves a starter house like a lot of people what we actually went in an apartment, I. But then we got a starter house. What areas are can you find starter houses nowadays there around our area? Well, they're pretty much everywhere. But cut hey, Saint Francis. South Milwaukee oak creek, Franklin have great starter homes. New Berlin just about any jurisdictions gonna have great starter homes, but define.

Then it's the same price Korean. That's also available WalMart, and then we have the outdoor three camera, which is an indoor and. Camera that as I said earlier has both a battery or a option in terms of functionality. They have the same features other than the weather resistance and the battery that the three sixty offers. Well, I think creators of guards came up with a great great product. There's so many features that everyone listening thinking about how you can keep an eye on your kids the rest of your two legged kids, or parents or people that you don't leg people. "Does this sound? Okay. Yeah. I just go for it. Okay. I'm a new summer ODI, and I'm hosting season for of IRL online life is real life. It's an original podcast from Missoula to get the feeling that we're at the start of a reckoning for the internet in two thousand eighteen social media giants admitted that their platform spread misinformation and disinformation around the world. It's the same year that some governments past privacy laws protecting our data and others promised regulation to come. It's also the year the metoo movement found its way into the boardrooms of big tech. Marvel, Comecon and Joel Edgerton discussed on Lights, Camera, Podcast

"Wow. If we has a supporting role flea might win an Oscar. I didn't. I didn't realize that I, I will say that all the trailers. This was probably my favorite. Yeah. Yeah. I mean, this just looks like it's heavy dynamic. It's I mean, it seems like a much more depressing coming of age. Even the ones we've seen. We'll talk about eighth grade very briefly later on because we're number of you tomorrow, but lots of coming of age was recently, and it always seems like Lucas edges in them or his role is a coming of age role. I guess that is because of his age. But yeah, the another two Joel Edgerton fill his second directed movie after the gift, and this will looks pretty damn good again, very heavy move on Comecon, and then we'll wrap this up and we'll go into skyscraper, review. Lots going to be happening Comecon. We've had aqua man images and a magazine cover. We've had ship Zam. Of the first official looks at Zam costume. And guess what more if fighting between the people involved Zam fans over the costume, we have glass the trailers to becoming for glass on Friday, very excited for that one. The hype is huge glass, which I, I don't know if I can say I didn't expect it, but like if you would've told me this going into split last year that like, hey, this is going to be not only considered very good by most people, but there's going to be a crossover next with another m night movie and people are gonna be going crazy. I mean, I would that I would have never expected, but it makes sense now. So that's getting a lot of hype and then got Zillah king of monsters. It seems like that'll beginning a trailer at comic con as well. And a bunch of other things to could be some surprises. Marvel does not have a panel, so there will most likely, I mean, like ninety nine percent. Sure. The we know marvel. They're like you guys are fucking sick of us. Well, they didn't go last year either or the year before. I think they're just like, yeah, we don't need this shit like they really don't like they don't need to be a comic con. And what's the one thing you want to see most? Maybe the thing that you're most on the fence about, I don't have some fun with this one Comecon thoughts because there there's a lots of there's a lot of negativity to people are just roasting and dunking. I'm things especially on command Zam. The aqua man roasts has been the Getty stock photo of the shark place in the poster, which I didn't think was that big of a deal. I feel like that's a common practice. I assume it is to also people are saying, what do you want them to go? Take pictures of sharks, which I get. Also, the thread that you sent to us can Jack is. So it's so lame under it's just DC and moral fence fighting with each other and showing like mistakes and marvel posters, mistakes in DC. It's like, oh my God. Can we get the fuck in trailer for this movie already? We move on has images at the same thing about Shas Zam too. It's like it's you're so concerned. I feel like we've talked a million times probably because we have, but if you're so fucking concerned in bothered by the argue about the suit, do something else release something else besides the fucking suit. Like that's why it's all people talk about because the only thing you've released and it does look silly. I mean, I'm sorry. It looks ridiculous. I don't think it looks awful inflatable. It looks better than those those set images, which I expect because they put CGI in it. People are comparing it to a bad end forever and Batman and Robin, and they don't like that. They're like, come on like that's not what it looks like. Blah, blah, blah, like the director getting mad. But again, if you wanna move on from the suit, talk release. Some other shit would it seems like they are going to do the e. They control the narrative in this situation, like the only person that could fix this is them by releasing. This does not anyone else by themselves. I do appreciate how they've taken the windy social media pro chip just telling people. Go fuck themselves now. Yeah. Yeah. Dislike late..
