"I twenty four hours we've had since loss on. Look the biggest thing really to speak has been the involvement of tesla in tribe. Of course been talking tweeting. A i guess talking and tweeting Quite a bit about the Dosage pretty much about dodge With hashtag bitcoin as his twitter description. Of what you want to call it now. I'm market is currently sitting just shy of one point four trillion dollars. This is huge. It's huge for all of us. All of us that have been around for a wall. He's in for those of you. That are relatively new to this by. It's huge for you as well. This is the reason why she age. You've got it's six one white half a dozen the other whether he's the wealthiest man in the world next to jeff basil's. I couldn't give to hurts about that. The fact is you've got a rebel entrepreneur who is willing to put himself on the law. He sold pipe off. I think he's a hundred ten million and what he did was invested in the tesla and spice x and barred money inside on couches. Now this is sort of man that is not in anything for the money. This is a man who has a drive. he has a purpose. And after that i he is. He's kind of just want say something. You've never seen before. But certainly the level of entrepreneurship. I haven't seen before in my been rating books and being involved with a lot sorts of stuff. Since i was about fifteen years old when i read zig ziglar top was offered to me by my very first mental. And it's it's quite. It's quite an extraordinary thing as far as long consent to how somebody who is so different and so different. I guess it's not just about money. The guy puts it all on the line. He he he i mean. He smoked a joint. With joe rogan. I mean the guy. He's a rug. He's is mac villian. He does what he wants. He is the person the creek di really represents. All sorry hayes to his now become the person that he's a spokesperson he is. know bang. And it wasn't just because he bought does all. He talked diet and put hashtag bitcoin. It was because now. The tesla i look. Let's be honest about this Point five billion dollars of bitcoin. That's the mall when it comes to capital but if you dig a little bit deeper and you start rain in between the law ends of how long he's been talking about cryptocurrency and how he's involved with non himself i assure you i'm sure he's involved wrestling. But with tesla sought on one unravel that a little bit now show Some studies going to accept bitcoin. And if you can see what lamborghini days when you know in two thousand and seventeen where land beginning saw accept. Bitcoin is pilot for the motor vehicles. That mccain win lamb by you know. There's always named saddam about lamborghinis. Lamborghini didn't back bitcoin that he's accepted. You're going on mosque now. Who has not accepted it. But he hasn't accepted yet but he's backed it by going into now. There will be a time. I am fairly sure of where any touchstone believe. I haven't read everything about it. I caught the busy day where they'll accept bitcoin and at time you gotta think about. What is the community. Give the community gives back to those at help the community gripe and i think it's an absolute bloody moss strike because as this new you know parade on the finance and whatnot comes around. I forget the taxi high tells them what not hide airbnb only different places the So try to fought against Progressional spurs part of this put. The banks don't like bitcoin and it's because the bank's can saving obviously threat to to their empire. You're gonna moscow's out there doing his thing and there's a lot a big millionaires billionaires that have been created three bitcoin cryptocurrency if he's going to accept bitcoin as a method of pilot. Then i think it's an absolute buddy. Moss destroyed for him to put one point five billion in to tuzla in in bitcoin. I'm and maybe he'll go more possible trends. I'm sure he certainly thinking about on the dan if he's not but that one point five billion he's already put in would probably you know what he'll pick up if he accepts. Bitcoin will be far more than one. Point five billion dollars in sales now whether you look at him as the master of you know the universal massive pot of cryptocurrency. Now it's just a smart
Why You Need a Mentor with Kevin Harrington and Mark Timm
"When did you know this was going to be more than just a great mentor ship relationship and become something that would be a book and and start spreading the word about why this is important than and then how to do it. You know i know for me. I was so i would go to these events and kevin being on shark tank when he would finish. Speaking to a room of thousand hundreds of people would line up. They wanted an autograph they wanted and but they actually all would say. I just need five minutes like that was the normal. I think five minutes. If i could ask you one question. I know it would change my life forever and so he was so gracious that he would take a lot of these. You know these five minutes or these one questions and it turned out to be the same question. What's the one thing. I need to do to grow my business. What's the one thing. I can do to start a successful business. What's this one thing and we started having this conversation off line. You know flying back in in a hotel or restaurant and what we figured out. Is that super successful. People have one thing in common. They all had mentors. You talked about your mentor. Being dave ramsey we've talked about zig ziglar. Guess what dave ramsey had mentors zig ziglar had mentors super uber financial successful people. All have this one secret. They have mentors. If you google mentorship there are the haves and the have not and sadly there are more have nots than are haves and so we basically said if there's this one burning question out there around success in growth in relationships business in life it is. The haves have people in their lives. We were not put on this earth to be alone. We were not supposed to do this. Entrepreneurial thing alone we're not supposed to lead entrepreneurial endeavors alone and there are people willing to help and we've got to tell that story and so that's how it became a book and that's why the book is not a how to book. It's not a one two three six steps to whatever. It is a journey of relatable entrepreneur with his mentor. Some unbelievable stories of kevin's live because he's had an unbelievable life and some really practical ways that those those lessons can be applied every single day we end every chapter with how you can take the business lesson and bring it home to your most valuable business which is likely the one you went home to your family. Not the one you went to. and so. that's when just this constant just yearning for this. This answer that entrepreneurs had for kevin and so it became this book bestselling book now on mentorship and we turned him before covid. Never has there been a more important time for people to have mentors than right now It's great timing for that message. Kevin when you're answering those questions in that line and people are saying okay. I just need five minutes. I've just got one question. I've had this experience where people are saying. Okay what's the one book. I need to read. Or what's the one thing i need to do and i try to stop and say i. I understand what you're getting at but you're asking the wrong question because what you guys are talking about with mentor ship is. There's really something about constantly being hungry. Always being a sponge you know and a book that changed. My life is going to be different than a book that changed your life. The one thing you need to do is stay hungry reading all the time. There's no silver bullet book if you will or no silver bullet Course to take you need to be consuming all that stuff over time. that's how we transform and grow as leaders and so when things you guys talked about in the book is the idea of building a dream team not just hiring people that can fog mirror but the people that are really gonna take you where you wanna go. And that's attention especially if you're small and caches tight paying for the talent that you need tomorrow and not just who can do the job today. What's the importance of a dream team. Tell you for me. You know i and i'll kind of begin. This and then kevin can really bring home for us. But the what. I learned from kevin and watching him. Was that up until the point that i met kevin i always hired as he said. I always hired who i could afford like ninety nine point nine percent of every entrepreneur out there. Whoever i could afford. I hired well. That is a way of growing your business through the rear view mirror. Because what you can afford is already where you're at and so i'm having this conversation with him one day and he is he said and i'm challenging him because i'm listening to stories and i'm like well. How did you afford that gyn. Why did you pick that guy. That was so far out. And he's like look. I'd rather have. I'd rather have ten percent of the time of a cfo that can take me to a hundred million then a hundred percent of the time of a cfo that's gonna go to a million and so also the concept is is that who do you need to go forward. What does your business need to accomplish the vision or the purpose. That's the dream team. And what i learned from kevin. Is you gotta get creative. You've gotta get creative sometimes to put the right team together. And he's he's got this great story that he can share around the concept of the dream team with with the laurie. Al folks and i'll let him share that. Because that's when i started to really learn that as an entrepreneur if you can put together the dream team and that's why the business i currently have is doing so well because i'm not in higher can afford a hired who was going to take me where i wanted to go and i had to get creative had involves some equity. I had involve some. You know some creative ways of incentivizing them but i now have the dream team. And that's why. I'm scaling beyond where i've gone before because i was in the way

"Ninety, three T. as in talent. That's right. We're talking to the talent directly. Of course, anybody can listen even the hiring manager spot. This, this morning some. Some crib notes some shortcuts. Some best practices if you're looking for work. A number one thing you can do. Que did I, get your attention this a number. One thing you can do if you're looking for gainful employment. Fix your attitude. You thought I was GONNA. Say something difficult right. I don't think there's anything more difficult. Do you ever know people that are just everything comes out of their mouth is Negative can't do this won't do that shouldn't do this or the other thing just. People that typically you don't like being around at least I don't like being around. After laugh icy from time to time articles and posts and podcasts. You know about how to deal with naked if people. And it's probably good for most people I have just eliminated them all from my interactions. At a mentor many moons ago. Mike Murdock and he said looked do not give a critic anytime zero Nada Zilch. Why because then you don't have time for the people that lift you up the build you up. That you enjoy each other's company lifting each other to higher levels so I, I've eliminated long ago. It doesn't even register anymore it just. Is like water off a duck's back in. Just, doesn't affect me so if you want. To to Change Your career your outlook, your your status in life everything about yourself number one change your attitude. Now I understand that's easier. Said than done. UNDERSTANDS A fulltime job. But the rewards are so amazing. Why would you? Why would you not do it right? So Next question. How do you make that happen? Hey, scam new to this thing you know this This attitude adjustment? How do I make that happen? Well for me the easiest is just change who you hang out with. And I mean that in a big sense not you know physically on a day-to-day basis that counts but. I hang out with this. Guy Les Brown he I believe is the number one motivational speaker in the world at this moment in time and has been. For the last. Been Falling since ninety two I think. So that's what. Eighteen years. So for the last eighteen years less brown I. Think is at the top of the game. Now I've heard them all and I'm Fan I'm a big fan of them all like. Zig Ziglar Charlie Tremendous Jones. Mark Victor Hansen and a bunch of others. But. The just something about less brown his down to Earth. Homespun. Sites. it just resonates with me. So I spend time with him I have a couple particular. podcast of episodes. Audio sessions of him that I I listened to repeatedly one is called. It's not over until I win. He gave this at the Georgia Dome in ninety two. May Be in I think it was ninety two. And that's when he first popped on my radar screen. Then I got chance in person a couple times and. and. So hang out with people that have a positive attitude. In. That might mean spend time with a podcast or video. So number one, you got to change your attitude number two. How do you do it? You hang out with positive people even if it's via podcasts fact I'll include Lincoln. The show notes the one of my favorites right now in fact. It's a podcast called tremendous leadership by Dr Tracy Jones who is the daughter of Charlie Tremendous Jones in a recent she happened just happened to have Mark Victor Hansen on the program saw all included Lincoln the show knows this is going to blow your mind it did mine and I followed him both for years. I'm one of Mark's biggest fans I. Don't know if you know that mark if you're listening. But. I'm a guy who bought the book, the One minute millionaire. Studied it night and day apply the lessons in the book. Within weeks? And generated an
Getting Rich Might Be Easier Than You Think
"Things like grocery shopping. That's why this podcast features funny stories from fantastic writers about our daily alien nominees a micro audio book about life and befuddle men just for you our story. This week is from BB. Nicholson who oh you'll find on medium DOT COM and here is getting rich. Might be easier than you think. I'm going to be rich. Don't laugh this is a slam dunk. I don't even need to publish bestseller or start a company. What's more I'll let you in on a secret? You too can avail yourself of this potential windfall. The beginning of my ride to riches occurred in the summer of two thousand thirteen gene on what started out as an ordinary day it ended as an ordinary day to but my assessment of the day as ordinary even even boring goes to show that the least significant activities. The stuff we are tempted to write off as forgettable are the things that catapulted catapult us to unexpected rewards. I remember the day. Well no or maybe not so well but I can reconstruct it. I was in the kitchen feeling those first pangs of hunger that surface when you've already had lunch and it's not time for dinner and you can't focus or do anything much until you've had something to eat. I could have reached for an apple or a banana but my craving was for something salty salty artificially flavored and devoid of all nutritional value. I reached for the giant variety snack. Pack I bought IT COSTCO CUSCO A few weeks earlier. Only to realize with dismay that all the potato chips and Fritos were gone. The only thing left was cheese. He's it's if you haven't figured out where this is going by now. You haven't read today's Wall Street Journal. The story is on page. Eighteen eighteen. Three women are suing. Kellogg's the manufacturer of cheese it because they feel misled and they want justice one the plaintiffs Linda castle purchase cheese. It's approximately three times in two thousand thirteen from Grocer in Torrance California her lawsuit and her pursuit of justice stem from the assumption that her cheeses contain more whole grain than the label would lead one to believe so what you might be thinking who cares if Linda Castle but she sits and believe she was consuming a health food. There's a sucker born every minute. According to P. T. Barnum. But here's the caveat. The cheeses were labeled whole grain and and although the box explains that they contained five to eight grams of whole grain for each twenty nine grams. Serving the plaintiff felt deceived received. Mrs Castle and the other plaintiffs are seeking damages other monetary relief and declaration corey relief. Whatever whatever that means although a federal judge dismissed the case ruling that the whole grains wording was factually correct and the label would neither mislead nor deceive a reasonable consumer the? US Court of appeals has reversed the dismissal. Here's where there I come in and maybe you if you've eaten cheese it anytime in the past eight years the plaintiffs want a class action suit consisting the of anyone in the US or its territories who has bought cheeses eight since two thousand ten. According to The Wall Street Journal there there are thousands possibly millions of people who bought cheese. It's all of whom munched away happily without formal complaint. The more I think about it the better I remember that fateful day when I reach for the cheeses I can still hear the bag. Cellophane Russell smell the cheesy odor. Her Savor the crunchy junk food. Taste my husband probably qualifies for the Class Action Suit to the other day. He fished just a bag of cheez. Its with a two thousand one expiration date from the back of the Pantry. I forget how good these things are. He said digging digging in his fingers dusted with the Telltale Orange Stain. That is the bane of all cheese at eaters. Especially those who sit on white white couches. Maybe white couch owners should sue to forget all the list as you've read about how to get rich you don't need to wake up at five. Am During Gay Spinach Yogurt Green Tea smoothie run eight miles and meditate chanting Prima all before four eight o'clock. "I am in their midst. He's talking about coagulation, right? So. So we all for me. It's also about had a regular with the right people. Right. You don't want to regulate with a pessimist or someone who's gonna bring you down. You want to be with people who you trust who will nurture who care for you, very basic things, but they can be a complete game. Especially in today's digital age where there is so much 'isolation. Okay. I'm gonna give this. We could go on for days. Your folks really the book was the book was significant. I love how you wrote it in these snippets. You got a lot of chapters, and I want folks to to dig in but at face value with this with this book with this message claim your power, what is a not. I'm not talking about the critics. I'm talking about the people who truly care they want to engage. They wanted digest. But what for them what are some primary false perspective that people have come in to this that allows them to fall on the wayside that you would. I love to dispel help them. Get I say to the critics out there. I think that a critic or skeptic is optimised who has unhealed trauma about something. Okay. So they definitely need the work. But just come into it. Open minded that's beautiful is that a lot of people who are critics or whatever. You know, there's a justifiable reasons and went through something the personal element space is riddled with people who have not had the best intentions, and by the way, zig Ziglar is the opposite of that zig. Ziglar is one of the main reasons I said, if this guy can exist who's a cool, dude who's like legit who so hard centered. Maybe there's a place for me because I just didn't. It was nice cited to I get into the personal space. So there's a reason why people critical, and you know, what if you've dealing critical cool work under Challah. But when it comes everybody else, I would say that the biggest biggest misconceptions, I don't have trauma. That's the big if you have anxiety, if you have stress if you have just by if you're if you're overweight, if you're in arguments, if you're not achieving the results you want to be achieved in your life. You have trauma. You got it agai and every human being does. And that's probably the biggest misconception. The other biggest misconception which is not just for people who read the book. This is in general is that gonna limb here. And I'm gonna say something that is probably a little forward. But I'm gonna say it. If you are working with anybody who is not trauma informed. You've got to have a trauma informed person on your team change your life. Your you had to have it's like having an allopathic doctor having a functional medicine doctor. They're only going to treat the symptoms. If someone's going to have a medical problem, you've got to go see a functional medicine doctor to get to the root cause figure out why your thyroid offer wise your liver doing what it's doing. "Com and see if you can score some passes there now as we're kind of going down this income conversation. We were talking about supplemental income in primary income we've talked a little bit about multiple streams of income. What's kind of that that that starting point? What's that combined? Message. No matter what direction down the income path. Somebody's looking to go that you and your instructors we'd like to start people off with. Well, it's funny because most people don't know where to start all the time. Zig Ziglar one said is you don't have to be great to start. But you have to start to be great. So many people think that by trading they have to get rich really really quickly. Well, then at all in fact, most of our instructors will tell our students is I would it's not about quitting your job. It's about finding a job that you love because we put our job straight out. Ryan there were giving up one of our income streams, right? If they don't want to do that because we're looking for multiple income streams. But at the same time, you've heard this expression our whole lives. Right. Don't work hard work smart. Well, that's not how people who make a lot of money think they're not working hard. They're not working smart. They're learning. How to work right? And working, right? Means is there following other people who are successful in generating money. That's one of the things that our students. Learn how to do they learn how to make money without getting a second job because let's face it. Nobody out there is on their death bed going, man. You know, I wish I could've worked just one more day that would have been excellent. Now, they're out there saying I want to spend more time with the things and the people that I love and think about it. Just because you're going out and setting a second job. Yeah. You may get a couple of extra zeros at the end of your income. But if you don't have to start managing your money properly and dealing on what we call risk management. You just going to have more zeros on the end of your expenses. So a lot of people are miserable. They're out there thinking they've got to work even harder and harder with teaching students. How to work right? And that simply means coming in and understanding how you could create more freedom for yourself, and hopefully it will listening right now can see how they could create more freedom. Yeah. And it's all about generating that skill. You know, you're you're talking about people coming in and looking to make money out of the gates and just you know, I wanna I wanna take this dollar and turn it into a million dollars by went by tomorrow. It's like, okay, it's not very realistic. But so one of the things we always like to bring that up is it's all about generator generating skill building the skill and the money comes after you have to have the skill. I just like in any other business in any other walk of life. The skill is something that we that. We really have to have I and I always tell everybody if you're looking for a a get rich quick program, then the half day class, probably isn't for you. And really the financial markets. Aren't for you. And that's that's just being real because we have to generate the skills to be able to generate the income and building any skill usually isn't an overnight process. It's usually something that takes a little time also say to add to that because I love where you're going. You also can't be someone who doesn't take action. You don't wanna get stay stuck where you are right now. And you're not coach -able. Those are definitely things that are not going to work out for you. But if you're somebody who really is interested in learning a new skill that can ultimately benefit you in the long run. And this is an excellent opportunity for you. Yeah. If you're looking to build some skills in the financial market and learn how to generate a greater source of income, and you're willing to put in the time as Larry says will then I think you may be our next caller to win a set of these passes. But I I've got to get. Larry's permission to give away. Let's do it. All right right now got a half day class coming up in your area in the half day classes, where you'll see exactly what it takes to really generate that extra source of income really build out those multiple streams of income inside of the financial markets in just a second. You're gonna have a chance to win a set of these passes to.

We do we have opportunities come. Our way all the time but when is. It the right time, this is the right time this is. Living is going to be all about stop, settling, and start living, how to get what you want. Now? No, most of us have made New Year's resolutions, but homing of us have actually accomplish them. Most people don't finish those. The is hacked with people on January second and Mt on paper. Second for that very reason is usually short term. What I do know though, is that a side from New Year's resolutions, you'll have goals rail goals that you create things that you want to accomplish. Things you want to do things. You want to have things you simply want to improve in your life. And yes, of course, the all do. We all have things we want to do to move our lives forward, but I bet you would be surprised to find out that ninety two percent of us don't achieve the goals that we set out to achieve, and it's not just those first gold at the beginning of the year, those new resolution? No, it's all in general. So today we're going to talk a Bose. You can get inspired in motivated. Excitable, wanting those goals. You can take your lead and really get them done and be one of the eight percents that actually reach several. So what are some of the goals we tend to have. We have career goals. People are looking for promotions for career changes, some going back to school to get degrees and certifications. We have relationship goals where people they want to create new relations, whether it's professional personal there, people who want to get into relationships, romantic relationships. There are people who want to repair those relationships that just are simply not working. And then we have personal goals, whether it be learning or mastering skill, losing weight, exercising, working on our self confidence or getting more spiritually focused. The list goes on. And no one goal is more important than the other. It just depends on the individual and their circumstance. There may be one person who is content with where they are in their career, but they feel alone or do not have any good supportive relationship to speak. All while there may be that person who has great relationships. They have the grit career. They look like they have it all. But they lack in self image self worth or something that you're hiding behind a smile. I'm going to share with you one thing. One characteristic, one word, even that when you focus on this, you become held to actually reach those goals. Those things that you want those things that you want to have be and do. Do think about what he wants in your life? Just think about what goals you have think about some of the things that you want. Take a minute and jot those down on a couple of them. Because for me, I know I want to become fluent in Spanish. I know that there is a book that I need to complete. Also wants to learn to play the guitar. What

"Okay, folks here I kick us off with a one minute message from zig Ziglar. Changes is stressful, but so is unemployment and bankruptcy. One of the old statements from AA simplest says that one definition of insanity. There's a thank you can keep on doing the same thing and some another get different results. If you keep on doing what you've been doing, you're going to keep on getting what you being if you like what you've been getting, that's fine. But if you don't like what you get and then ladies and gentlemen, maybe we need to explore some changes. I wanna have you think in big, let me share with you what the mission statement I want you thinking mission statement. You see our mission statement at the zig Ziglar corporation is to be the difference maker and the personal family and business lives of enough people to make a positive difference in America and the world. Now, no, that's pretentious small company, but I'm here to tell you ladies and gentlemen, that's our mission. There you go folks classic zig. So again, from that we posted this question on Facebook change is hard and procrastination as powerful. "Okay. Well, folks, this is a special insert to honor the life of the red head. Jean Ziglar zig Ziglar, wife, and Tom Ziegler who sits before me knows her as mom. She passed away Friday July twenty seven, two thousand eighteen which as of this recording right here. And now as we sit Tom six days ago, her funeral service is actually tomorrow and I wanted to take the opportunity. Everybody who has heard zig Ziglar knows of her nose. The testimony that he gives knows your testimony of her as well. But I wanted to just ask, what can we learn from the life that gene Ziglar the redhead mom that she led? We know it was powerful, but I don't know the details if or how many people know much of the details. What's first thing that comes to your mind when asked that. Question. Wow. Well, first off, I know a lot of our listeners have heard about this. We've gotten so many. Emails and notes on Facebook and messages of people sending their love and their encouragement. So I just wanted to start by saying, thank you. You know, mom had an amazing life and I'll start with this quote and its zig Ziglar quote. And here it is. You never would have heard of zig Ziglar if it hadn't been for the red head..

"Okay. Here, I give you a brief story from zig Ziglar that sets the stage for my talk with Tom's either. Love the story of the grandfather walk in the beach with his grandson, never Stafford to the grandfather Therese down and pick up a sand dollar and throw it out to see it. Take a couple of more stay, pick up another one and throw it out and another in violent, the grandson, said granddaddy. And what are you doing? And the grandfather said, son, these sand dollars are living organism. If I don't throw them out to sea, they'll die in the hot sun. They've been washed ashore by the tide and the grandson said, but granddaddy the thousands of them. What possible difference can it make? And then the grandfather reached down picked up another one and threw it out to sea and said, this one, it makes all the difference in the world. All right, Tom will this question. You know what? Let's just be candid here. I was just talking with you before the show, and I posted the question after after the message from your dad, asking people for those who truly view their work as their mission, who specifically are you devoted to saving and how in the, let's let's I just just make a quick comment on that. I mean, if your work provides for your family, that is a great mission. However, in this I was actually, you know, a guy us a lot as an example as our buddy Dave months in saddleback leather, he's got a company. He loves design. He likes adventure. He likes those things are fun. They jazz and they inspire him and he enjoys making bags on. Does he think his bags or his mission that they're saving the planet? No, not necessarily. It's a cool business. He makes a lot of money and employs people yada, yada, what his heart really is him. And his wife is going over to Africa, and they support a significant. Mount of people. So in one way he's, he would say his work supports his mission. Okay. But there are then people who work like Utah Ziegler in a business where you're you're, you're directly on what your mission is part of your work there. So I was kind of speaking to that just to give it a press a preface. And then within that to say, you know, who, who do you feel like you're saving serving and how to make sense. Make sense to me. All right. That was my. And so I gave I was the first one I've been doing this somewhat on Facebook. When I asked the question saying, hail dive in in volunteer, I and I talked about that. I have always gravitated towards people's health and wellness. And why is that? She can say, gosh, somebody's fit trim and can leap tall mountains in a single bound. And yet they're not. They don't know Jesus Christ will got what good is that. So what good is that? We can debate it all. We want to bottom line for better or worse. That's where I'm drawn to. And I see somebody and I see they're calling and I see their their passions and their desires to serve. And yet they have compromised themselves physically, and I know that that compromise everything else, man that that burdens me or you know, I could say it's my passion, but it really just kind of burns me grease me and I want to address that. So that's the direction I was going. So Tom, I'm going to put you on the spot with that same. Same question because there you are Ziglar. You're dealing with people all walks of lives. All different so many different issues that they're dealing with that you can help address. But I wonder and I don't know this. I've been your friend for a long time. What's what's the thing that you see where people are? Let's use that word compromise. They're not at their full capability in a specific area that just seems to be the one that gnaws at your heart the most. Well, I'll tell you thing that really bothers me is there's almost a guilt complex that somebody who's not working for a nonprofit or not working in the ministry or not. You know, in what I called the life coaching category, where they feel guilty for having a normal business that they own or a normal career or a normal job somewhere, like they're not doing their part..

"This however is the wrong way to look at relationships networking is not about what you get out of the equation this is where you've just major first mistake stop thinking about how you can get something and start thinking about how you can help other people get what they want that zig ziglar's thing among others now that you're not thinking about yourself it's pretty clear it doesn't matter whether you're a teacher or an airline pilots or a shovellers somewhere your profession is completely irrelevant to the importance and utility of creating relationships even if you did only look at what's in it for you because my earlier point is somehow in one ear and out the other let's assume that you're still losing if you don't networks so take this scenario you get hired then he have an issue with your administrator what he do do rely on the union to handle it do you know you're union rep do they like you to they take your side to they trust you more than they trust the other administrator do you try to wade through the bureaucracy what happens if that person doesn't know you in doesn't care about you are you going to take your chances with just take a number please wait in line would if you want to teach somewhere else high going to get those jobs how you can find out about those jobs is anyone looking out for you in those districts do you know anyone there who you can call and ask what if you want to be the assistant coach of a team at another school inside your district what if you want a plum teaching assignments who do you think gets those are they assigned fairly and impartially or does the person in charge choose that position for their friends and colleagues that they enjoy working with what happens if you're a new teacher any need help who do you rely on what if you want to different job what happens then i assume i don't have to beat this dead horse too much here if the benefits of networking aren't really starting to become obvious by now you are in trouble so i think reality is gonna come crashing down pretty hard you're gonna start to see opportunities for yourself everywhere especially once you start teaching but in any case you need to right now stop.
