The market go up and up and up and up out you to make money I it's it's about getting in to a market. And understanding that market. Knowing what you looking at more importantly knowing what you'll looking full now as I, look at Bitcoin rotten now I'm looking at a market that saves I wanna go at the moment we we've got another low high and low allow you to go with it. The Cultural and Ecological Implications of the Salep Orchid Trade
"Take those steps in and do something professionally with your career to actually. Contribute to the world of conservation, which brings us to the topic of Salad, and if anyone listening has heard of salad at all is probably as an ingredient, which is interesting. Because often times I hear people saying, Vanilla is the only culinary viable orchid on the planet, which is not true. So let's talk about sal up what is it? What is it used for, and where does it come from? When Salad Salad? Actually, it's not only an arcade ashamed Larkin it's like a big group of four kids. If you go through literature, you can find more than thirty five species. SLEAFORD Silane it's also depending on when a whether you are what exactly two different species or group species in Greece different one in Turkey or other countries. So when we talk about the If we see all the countries together faced in weekend, say that the most common once belonged to Janet like or he's like that filariasis also mccown. And infected, maybe it's off races when. So what's smoke one between solid core kids as their root system they most often have obeyed Bob's or? Huber's along one that look like little fingers. If. You see those on the rises. So this is actually a a salad porchet and being driven is coming through the dried and ground Cuba's that's what you get the. Fowler and the Susan Shelley Different. If you see, for example, in Greece, they like days they're just washed with water and dry. But if you go to Durkin also boy in either walking on me, it depends on very Jim. So that's what's giving you the final product of salad father. In what is sell generally used in? I mean, if someone's looking to see if it's an ingredient, what kind of food are they looking at generally or is it a lot just like the orchids that gives us it If you look at it as any greeted Bailey actually there are a lot of things you can find it most often is the traditional beverage. Back. The. Actually it's not always clear product that sometimes makes the cornstarch. Bob Is the one that you make the beverage hot beverage also techie you can find the acid thickening ingredient for they additional ice cream called on the. One that stick you on. an increase is also used or traditional ice cream, but this call, Kai Mikey by this mixed with mustard powder. The one that comes from the must be healthy. So this is more I don't mind. And less. But issue see that he starts Suzanne Masters you can not a fine sapping the most stains places even as an ingredient or bombs. So. Mrs I leave. I much. Boy. While an okay. So these are all terrestrial orchids for anyone that's not familiar with the Genera, and when you talk about harvesting routes, that immediately brings to mind issues that we have with harvesting plants here in North America for instance, panics and high dressed us. Those are two plants that are highly sought after further routes, but the very act of pulling up a plant. By. Its roots kills it right. So this is where you can kind of see the connection with conservation. If you're harvesting the roots of a plant, you're you're taking its life away from it right and so that's where you start to come into issues with biodiversity endangerment with a lot of these orchids correct yet because the production of Saleh Pro Juarez, the use of the entire. Plans. So basically in the overwhelming majority of aces harvesting salad means the destruction of the orchestras selves. Now to make one kilo solid requires a by two and a half thousand plans. To the half thousand individuals, Wallin kilo. Of. Salam powder ouch. Yeah. That's a lot of orchids. Now, if you think about one cup of sal but of the equivalent to Cappuccino or something but drinking salad beverage. you need five grams for that. So if you do the math works as Iran thirteen plans for a single cup of salad drink. Does a pretty expensive kind of process in terms of of orchids. and. There are certain people told you know taking one of the to chew birds and putting the other back but all this is all this is just talk really because the amount of work required harvesting these things it's very hard were, and that's one of the reasons why are studied we found a lot of people that actually stopped elected. Elected Saleh. But It's a bypass were talking about something between. Ten. In Turkey and the launch ed very variable. The amount of used something between twenty and AC tones in a single year. Yeah. And that I remember talk from Professor Cramps Zeke, he mentioned that every year and thirteen one, hundred, twenty, million arcades are being kids in order to produce missile of the year. So it's like a tremendous amount of individuals and as able say that it is like you're actually bringing up a whole mountain that say a huge number. Yeah and again, we wouldn't be talking about conservation here. If this was something that was produced agriculturally, right these are all being taken from the wild they're harvested and those numbers are mind blowing I had no idea what we were getting into when. We started talking about this just in terms of quantity and like you said, it's not just the fact that they're pulling these plants out of the ground and them for this it's your digging the whole time you're also disrupting habitats and that's something I never see talked about when it comes to harvesting foraging anything like that is the fact that if you're digging things up your
Travel to Turkmenistan
"I'd like to welcome back to the show Justin Barnes from Justin and crystal dot com, and just has come to talk to us about Turkmenistan Justin. Welcome back to the show. Thank you. Thanks for having me back and I say welcome back to the show Justin was on episode six, twenty, nine about the Big island of Hawaii. This is a very different destination. We're talking about today. What's your connection with Turkmenistan? We traveled there on a trip to or the stands. There's the five stands Turkmenistan Kazakhstan respect. Extended Kurdistan, and we went to four of them on a trip and Turkmenistan is certainly the most interesting of the bunch in terms of how foreign it was. The misers foreign every since the word will and I was very interested in doing the show because been one time since we've talked about Turkmenistan and because. Before covert hit, we had a amateur traveler trip plan to the stands not to all five to two. I think of them as I recall in two thousand and twenty one which has bumped to two thousand and twenty two, but still planning on taking a group to that region of the world. So should someone go to Turkmenistan all for one thing it has something that I am fairly certain no other country. In the world has which Zeke giant flaming pit in the middle of the desert that looks for one tencent purposes like a volcanic crater but is actually just burning natural gas and you can walk right up to the edge of it. It's about the ultimate across at about one hundred feet deep and that's something you're not gonna see any world's Laurel I think Azerbaijan has some similar geologic features of natural burning. Areas that have been burning for hundreds of years. Well, in addition to that, there's some very interesting Silk Road historical sites, and also some history even older than that going back to partying times in an earlier excellent and the Parthenon's being a contemporaries with an and rivals with the Romans. The recreation of the Persian state after the fall of Persia to Alexander the Great. Excellent will what should one do would enter and where are you going to take us on an itinerary here? So I would recommend or remain sites that can kind of seen in any. Any order. One is the capital Ashgabad, which is in the south central part of the country. nother one is the gas crater, which is more or less than the very center of the country. Kunia organic, which is the north central or the country. And finally merged, which is in the eastern part of the country in the horror which would go to those guys somewhat dictated in where you're coming from and where you're going to afterwards I think for the most are people who be traveling Turkmenistan. If you'RE GONNA, go that way you're not going to be going only to Turkmenistan, and so it's going to be part of a larger trip either balls, other stands and or. Now, we're you doing trip independently or as part of a tour or how did you arrange us? This was part of a tour. I. Think as a practical matter, it is very unlikely that somebody is going to get a visa to stand on their own is hard to get into Turkmenistan insulin less. You're going with a company that does a lot of tour packages there where they take care of getting visa process they donald is across all the ts I think for all intents and purposes it's it's almost impossible to get in unless you with without friends or family member living country. Will and one thing we should bring up just because people are gonNA look at the map and some people are going to say, no right away. Because of its neighbors. Because we just to the south of Turkmenistan Afghanistan in Iran Iran being very stable country right meal although not always one that my country the US is friendly with Afghanistan not necessarily. Being as stable but Turkenistan you've found to be fairly safe an interesting country to travel to. Yes and we went there from Iran and they were quite different but I felt safe in both places for different reasons. Under of the spectrum well in, we'll talk about more about Iran some other day. There's a couple, very fascinating episodes that we've done on. Iran made me want to get there ever since we've talked about it. So took minutes said you start at us in the capital, Yes yes. So Ashgabad new would either fly into or conceivably if you were on a road trip from either northern Iran or from Pakistan might come in. The car by I think most likely would come into the airport, which is very interesting. Airport probably will not see too many if any other airports that look the same with a multi billion dollar airport that looks like eighty giant Falcon or shave your channel self is a Falcon hundreds of feet. We'll be thousands of feet across.
Phase 3 clinical trial of investigational vaccine for COVID-19
"Of a potential covert 19 vaccine is moving quickly, with a Minnesota based care provider playing a key role in gathering participants. HealthPartners political researcher, Dr Zeke McKinney says there's still a lot of questions surrounding how effective Potential vaccine would be not really well understood. Whether or not the vaccine is something that would last years or months or lifetime. I think that two years worth of information will give us more of a picture on. How long will this vaccine last? However, occasions are we expecting it to be like when he says the virus could change as the seasonal flu does year to year, making a vaccine difficult to pin down in 2019? The CDC estimated the widely used common flu vaccine to be a combined 45% effective against all flu strains, with effectiveness, dropping to 37%. Against influenza. A. This is
Can Barcelona Keep Messi?
"Don You've been all over this on twitter calling it a poker move a bluff. So messy gets his wish then right Just, think seven shambles I mean I'm not quite sure actually what's going to happen in my heart of hearts I? Think Messi will end up staying at Balsa full million reasons all old hundreds of millions of reasons because who can actually afford him what's the scenario with these contracts do Balsa demand anywhere between two hundred, seven, hundred, Million County of free that will probably end up in the low colts, which again is ridiculous. Extremely Messy but I don't know if it's it's it's one of those Insa in you've I can afford them. I think to Rana's if messy seriously thinking about winning things and that's what he's allegedly. Being quoted as saying, it's a won't jump Zeke him in nine years is obviously not enough. So ruler probably China is probably got enough money wouldn't will not move. So there's only psg in Muncie to choose from. Now it's all full of predictions for the reasons. Shula inches said if messy is playing a and move on, he wants the president, the current president how false loan it's bringing a new president who will lead bring in potentially joppy who messy will obviously want to walk with WanNa Roll Kumon you know he's been their mantra days nothing is hasn't even stepped foot in the training ground jet is equal to be. Removed if you president and comes in in a short period of time, Chevy then comes in. So I've got no idea what's going to happen, but I'll tell you as a as a fan. It's all that the shambles, the marriage between. Messy on boss'll on the way potentially could be coming to an end or really exciting if you're a PSG or months it you find.
The Hidden Gem That Is Uruguay With Karen Higgs
"Hel Lo travel nerds and welcome to the extra packing peanuts travel podcast the show that teaches you how to travel more while spending less I'm your host, Travis Sherry, and joining me today is someone who used to sing sixties covers in the psychedelic rock bar and Costa Rica whose hometown is roughly eight thousand miles from where she now lives and who is the only urguay guidebook. Lives they're carrying Hague's from Guru, Guay Dot Com Karen, thanks for joining me and a huge. Welcome. I was so excited to hear what you're going to take out of my via. Those good with those those. Highlights there. Right I. Love that I mean I think you're probably the only person. I've ever introduced that sung sixties covers in the Psychedelic Rock Barn Costa Rica Wall the only one who's intro involved. I'm sure other guests have done it because who has right? Exactly that's kind of par for the course if you're a traveler I want to start out, could you were talking about one of my favorite countries in the world but somewhere, I've never been so little known fact or maybe not that little known if you used to follow way back in the day. Karen I said that my two favourite countries in the world were Slovenia an Erg Urguay but I had never been to either one I've now been to Slovenia but I haven't been to. Uruguay. So I am very excited to chat with you I'm I'm totally shocked what why Uruguay can I ask my? So I think just when I started traveling, I looked at a map and was like, don't like what I'm taking I was kind of like entire nation is going to be taken back. There you go. I looked at a map and I remember thinking. Like where are the hidden gems? Hidden Gems when they travel and so oh, Brazil Argentina and I remember I and I liked soccer slash football and. Howard now I'm understanding more. Colors, the light blue I like Diego Forlan, and so I just remember thinking that would be a coup country to go because everyone goes to Argentina everyone goes to Brazil. I want to go there and Slovenia same kind of thing this tiny country tucked in amongst kind what you would call like tourist powerhouses of Italy and stuff like that and. Yeah I just so for me, it was like those are the two that I just I thought they use are going to be it and have been something. We haven't made it yet. Then that is a good question well. Yet to give you a little bit of background, my wife and I wanted to come to South America for quite a while. So let's say five six years where we've really been like South America let's go. We've still never touch the continent. One of the reasons was we are not and naturally very cautious people but because we were trying to have kids and Zeke was happening and all that kind of stuff especially down in Brazil we kind of thought well, we can put it off like if we don't have to go and I know Uruguay was not Zico hotbed. But of course, if we go there, we wanted to go to Argentina Brazil. So we kinda just kept putting it off, putting it off, putting it off. And now we're recording during covert times if you're listening in the future hopefully, you're out of it by then. But yeah. Now, of course, as an American can't really go there. So. I would have if you had spoken to me five or six years ago than I would have said to you that you have to come anyway for your entire vacations to Uruguay 'cause there's so much to do and enough of people thinking that it says side from Argentina or Brazil. Okay. So I would have said that immediately and I also would have said to you that you know Zeka. Zero cases here and that Uruguay has great public health policies, and in fact, right now we are kind of like one the stock countries in Latin America regarding the virus
The Coronavirus Pandemic Puts The NFL Season At Risk
"Running back Zeke Elliott, talking about his recovery from Corona. As well as his concerns about the NFL season so guys, let's get right to it as we discussed that the NFL has consistently maintained a full speed ahead mentality about their season despite the coronavirus pandemic, but they have decided to cancel an event, the preseason opener hall of fame game between the cowboys and the steelers in Canton, Ohio, is being canceled Walton Hall of fame. Many Day Camps Are Choosing To Reopen, But Should Your Child Attend?
"Stays the day if all goes as planned we're gonna sneak into the opposite him and get the Intel we what's gonna happen to summer camp this is a video from camp would you walk in in Nashville Tennessee in it camp director Jeff marriage explains how things are gonna change now we sanitize we looking at our the other thing is going to be super but the most important thing here is that camp which you walk in is going to open marriage told me they are following state local guidance taking all necessary precautions and moving ahead that is not the case everywhere around the country many camps have decided to close all together and summer just in a holding pattern as they count covert cases in their state and try to figure out how to keep kids safe they're also pushing up against a lot of demand from families because we should just point out here we're not talking about sleepaway camps that are more like a week long vacation these are day camps that double as critical childcare for working parents I talked with Dr Zeke Emanuel about this he's a bioethicist and vice provost at the university of Pennsylvania in a recent op ed for the Atlantic Dr Emmanuel said many working parents can't get back to full productivity without camp and kids desperately need a break we separated children from their peers we restricted their activities out of doors and we're about to face summer with the kids totally out of school isolated from their friends this is not a good recipe for children we've also upset the parents live in terms of me being able to focus on work and I think having some distance during the day reestablishes a good relationship with people are you saying that the harm being done to them because of social distancing and isolation outweighs the risks of contracting the virus I think that there is a big harm almost all the data talks about the importance of socialization interacting with other kids negotiating playing setting rules those are important things for child development on the risk side transmission among kids is relatively low we know that there are harms are lower than adults they're not zero and I don't want anyone to say oh there's no problem with kids there are problems with kids but they're relatively low certainly relative to compare to other risks that kids out of unintentional injury and I think given that relative lotus it's worth taking some of the risks for some children for the benefits for tens of millions of children so many Americans have made real sacrifices to limit their exposure to other people over the last few months the sending your kid to summer camp though would exponentially increase a family's exposure to the virus would yes it is an increase I don't think it's exponential I think it's inevitable children are going to get covert nineteen if we open summer camp inevitable for some parents they will perceive the rest to be too high but for the vast majority the risks are acceptable given the other respect children's live with remember chill a child's life is not risk free and it shouldn't be risk free so I think that's about a global pandemic and protect your kids from a virus is different than you know dying in a car accident really I'm not sure falling out of a canoe or something that would transpire at summer camp yeah falling out of a canoe learning to cooperate around wearing face masks washing hands learning to deal with adversity is very important for children what kind of guidance have camps are state officials had from the federal government about how they should be weighing these decisions yeah disappointing is the answer to that I think that the guidance coming out of the CDC has been less than great it also would help if we had much more available and easy to use testing in this country do you think that's a prerequisite for camps to be able to test each and every camper before the start of the day I would say that it would be ideal and it would be very good I don't think in and of itself it's a go no go element it's not easy I didn't say it was easy and I think an article we say there are logistical and financial considerations but this is a high priority for the country as a whole to do this for our children who need structure in their summertime doctors you can manually appreciate your time thank you thank you Rachel but in the end it really is all up to parents because let's say the camp you send your kids to in the summer is going to open well then what then it's on you to the side of the benefit outweighs the potential
Houston Texans, Dallas Cowboys players test positive for coronavirus
"Texas is seen hospitalizations rise more than fifty percent since Memorial Day a lot of people around this area just were very complacent and they were ready to get out of their homes Beth Cordova I'm nursing Houston and five of her family members are currently fighting the virus I was literally terrified because I just didn't know I mean you read so many horror stories but I am worried about it reopening because our cases here have exploded just in the last two weeks multiple Houston Texans in Dallas Cowboys players including Zeke Elliott reportedly tested

Frustrated with fallout from his weekend gathering, Cowboys QB Dak Prescott clarifies, says fewer than 10 people were at house
"Back to us. Dak Prescott held a social gathering over the weekend. No social gatherings right now. I don't care you know if you it under ten overs over ten just Nixon. Everyone else is eating the poop right now. You do too Mr quarterback anyway. He held a party. And Zeke Elliott was also there and Dacca's upset because he thinks it's been blown out of proportion by the media and by idiots like me saying it wasn't more than ten people it wasn't out of control it wasn't a ranger But Steven Jones says Tuesday in an interview with the fan in Dallas that he talked to both Prescott and Elliott about not conducting gatherings while most of the country remains under quarantine. Here's what Stephen Jones had to say Blah Blah Blah Blah. And then do press got released a statement. Where do you come down on this March attack? Angry with them furious furious. I think two things Jane slater followed up to report that some of the images that showed the swanky bizarre looking party center was actually a a local restaurant called Nick and Sam's that she's been to and they actually took their own photos of the spread. They sent to Jack on with all these things in general. It's like if if someone were to from a PR angle examine what I did from age. Twenty to twenty eight. It would be a horrific story for the nation to follow along in general. Let's try to stay. Let's just like not get in our own way while the entire country is gripped by the biggest Health Related News. Story of our lifetime and your deck. Prescott and Zeke Elliott hanging around eating lamb wings or whatever it is eating. It's just why this wings when they don't know what was on the menu. I might be right. I have to stop. Lamps brings to stop going to my neighbor's front yard every day at five o'clock and sitting eight feet across from each other here. You're sitting across from each other not having a party inside your house with all having dinner at the same table. He said less than fewer than ten people right. I mean it's hard to keep track of the rules and get a handle on severity when the messages so mixed from layers at the national state and Cable News Levels. Dr Ci Telling People that Hate. Take a swing on tinder if you need to. He basically said it on that podcast. We mentioned if you're if you're willing to take the risk. Go down the Tinder Avenue. She said shoot. Your shot is basically what he said. So it's a dangerous time in the Corinthian because this is kind of a screw it time. Meaning some of my like. I'm sick of this screw. It like I am tired of doing this. I'M GONNA have my friends over. I've been doing this for weeks. It's tired and I WANNA see my girlfriend. Whatever IT MAY BE. It's sort of the screw it period and I think maybe that's what that got into my question. Why is Dak hosting anything? He shouldn't be hosting a heap. That means he has to pay for food and drink and everything. There's like six different people on the cowboys. That should be hosting party. Zeke should be hosting the Marcus. Jalen all of those guys who have been paid I picture. Dak and his front door charging twenty dollars a Solo Cup to come in. He's the last guy who should be hosting. They should be hosting him. It's not the end of the world but it's also west like days after he's out working out with Dez Bryant and everyone's got their arms around each other and at some point. Yeah you're young and you make mistakes again. It's not the end of the world. But you're also like an example for everyone tracking Dak Prescott in the state of Texas and like if it's cool that he's just going out like basically living his life as normally does and other people think that they can't do
Use Follow-Up Mode
"You are wondering how you can get Lexi to continue to listen to you so that you can give a second command without actually having to say the word again. This is how you do it. You go into your Lexi APP. You Click on your hamburger. Connor the settings button. Once you've done that you click on device settings Zeke because this this setting that we're talking about is specific to each device so you can turn it on or off depending on which device. We're talking about you then selected device that you want and when you scroll down you'll see an option called follow up mode you click on that and then you can turn that on and now what that allows you to do is when you give. Lexi a command once. She is finished answering that command or doing that. Action or whatever it is she will stay essentially a wake for a few more seconds. And you can give a second commander with our actually having to say the word Lexi again so it's a way that instead of MC Lexi. Do this Lexi do this. This is just simply lex. It's just simply Lexi do this and then do this and then do this and it's actually a little more natural in it's a little more convenient so give it a try. Something that's useful for you.
Zombie Outbreak - burst 17

Africa's busiest airport says foreigners can't disembark
"It was in South Africa in Johannesburg in it she just got home two nights ago at nine o'clock at night and anxiety is rising there but what I read this morning is that the country's largest airports as foreigners will not be allowed to disembark the south African Airways suspending all their international flights until June and Johannesburg airport or Paul was is the busiest in Africa so that's really interesting just left there just in time to get back and we talked a bit about that yes then of course one of the interesting things about the African continent as they've had to deal with a number of viruses prior to the C. bowl notably but others as well and Zeke another thing so did but this one's a little bit different obviously are all
Are we doing enough to prevent the spread of COVID-19?
"Joined by. Dr Ezekiel Emanuel former Obama. White House Health Policy Advisor. He's Vice Provost Global Initiatives University of Pennsylvania and Dr Peter Hotels Dean of the National School of Tropical Medicine at Baylor College of Medicine Doctor Manual. When we start with you. Where do you see us right now? Are we doing enough in terms of large scale social disruption and changes to slow the transmission of this epidemic? So first of all. I've been saying for several weeks now that it's going to get worse before it gets better. Parsley it's GonNa get worse because we have testing. That's just going to show us how prevalent the illness is. It's also getting worse because we know we have more community acquired infections as I mentioned to someone today. You know one week ago. We weren't even talking about new Rochelle and now new. Rochelle is a major topic in New York. And that's a lockdown and if we focus on new Rochelle without thinking about all the other places that this virus is maybe Washington. Dc maybe the suburbs of Baltimore. Who knows where the problem is? We need a more systematic less uneven response. That has to be pretty uniform. Because just 'cause we're seeing it new Rochelle doesn't mean Rochelle's the only place in New York that Scott and that response does have to include things like much more prevalent testing so we really have a handle on who's got it and who doesn't and a really good model is South Korea if you look at their trends you can see that. They're beginning to bend in South Korea. We also do need to inform people. We use the term social distancing like everyone knows what it means. It's not immediately obvious to people what that entails and how much you need to be separate from people explain to what should people know about but a large part of it. You people have come up with all these numbers no more than one hundred people to meet no more. The issue is density. How close are you to people? How easy is it for the droplets to spread? How much are you sort of packed in light sardines or not and that real? I mean that's a physical thing That is really important and I do think we probably need to educate people to minimize the. They're our contact and to stay home more. You can go out where there's no one else if you're going walking in the woods or something or going to a place where there are other people But I do think Restricting how we move around is going to be important I will note that not every but most of the Ivy League schools now for example colleges mine included. We're going online. The second half of the semester is all going to be online. Students aren't going to be in. Dormitories accepts students. That can go back to their home country and still complete the semester. So you are seeing a lot of action. But it's not concerted and that's what it's not systematic and that's what's bothering me Dr Hotels. We've been checking with you throughout the unfolding of the goal pandemic and I'm curious. Are we learning more about the virus itself about the basics about the transmission rate? Which seems to be maybe lower than at first. We thought the fatality rate the incubation period. Where is our knowledge right now about this so the transmission rate still seems to be? Pretty High Dr Fao. She mentioned. It's probably a significantly higher than the influenza as well as the mortality rate. But the you know just to echo and reinforce some of the things zeke Doctor Emmanuel was was saying we've learned a few things from a recent analysis. My colleague Mark Lipchitz sit at Harvard School of Public Health Chan School of Public Health together with a student a doctoral student. Ruan Lee didn't analysis of the Chinese cities in terms of how severe the epidemic is with the extreme example being Wuhan rare nine thousand people wound up in and severely ill with two thousand in the ICU versus city. Like Long Joe where there was only twenty a big difference right and it looked like it's primarily to do to how quickly you got on top of things after sustained community transmission started. So they let it go for six weeks. Before they implemented aggressive control and testing whereas in Guangzhou were the only at twenty cases one week. What's the lesson learned from the United States We're now about three weeks into this in terms of sustained community transmission. We had our first case of community transmission around the end of April so subtract a week before then. So we're getting to the point where because we're not doing adequate diagnostic testing and implementing those very important control measures. That seek pointed out. We're in a situation. Where we could risk being closer to Wuhan and Guangzhou and and we do we. We can't be there so now is a very critical period over the next couple of weeks where we have to be very aggressive about closing down major venues. We just this Houston. Today with the Rodeo was a tough decision but was the right decision that we're going to have to do this all over the country right now and the reason is this because if we miss that opportunity we then have. Our new problem becomes surge capacity hospitals. Where we're not gonNA have enough beds. We're not GONNA have enough into ventilators. We don't want to go in that direction. So now's now czar. Big Schnauzer going to be our last chance. We've already missed that in over the last few weeks. Can I reemphasize something? Peter says which is so in the entire United States. We have about eight hundred thousand hospital beds a little under eight hundred thousand hospital beds. In the entire United States we have under seventy thousand adult intensive care unit. Beds we have about sixty five thousand ventilators with the strategic supply. I've heard that it goes up slightly under one hundred thousand. That's our maximum capacity in the country at the moment if you imagine that even two percent of the population gets the corona virus and we have about six percent who are seriously. Ill GonNa need a respirator. We've exhausted all that supply. Just for those patients. Forget the heart attack patients. Forget the patients who need it for any other reason and I think what Peter said is exactly right we probably have missed two or three turns over the last few weeks where we could have gotten things down and just focusing on the hot spots. Seattle New Rochelle. I think is not. We need a much more systematic countrywide approach so that we don't overwhelm the healthcare system. Which already you know doesn't have that much search capacity in it. Dr Hotels Final Point to you for people that are watching this I. I've struggled with this for the last three weeks right. Communicating in a way that does not induce catastrophe or panic but also is clear eyed about the risks. And I do think it's worth just going back to the distinction between your individual risk you random American one of three hundred thirty million that you will get very sick and need to be hospitalized or may as life threatening illnesses that individual risk for any given random person is probably low in the grand scheme of things and this systemic risk to the society and to the healthcare system which is extremely high at this moment. Is that a fair way of phrasing. It yeah absolutely and also remember. It's it's all about communicating. What our top priorities are in. This is what I've been disappointed about. We've lost a lot of time because of a blanket statements that are not backed by data saying this is contained. This is this is the cold. This is the flu when in fact we know that there are specific groups that are at high risk including older older individuals those with underlying disabilities and our healthcare workers. And so what I've been looking for is at the White House. Press briefings to say. Look these are four. Bit Concerns Right. These are three or four populations That were concerned about This is a why we need to get on top of this very quickly. And here's what we're doing about it and and historically the American people have responded very well to this They understood this three. Bola Zeka as we say. This is not our first Rodeo so so we know how to respond and we just need that clear kind of concise messaging right now. All right. Just had one thing to Chris. Point which is we also do know the ass for any individual. The risk is low except we do know that there are certain people and Peter Emphasize of those who are over sixty or sixty five those who have chronic illness. They are at high risk and what we have done in. This country is aggregate them in nursing homes. Those are most vulnerable people people in nursing and we really have to social distance. There reduced the number of visitors. Probably two zero. Make sure that people are counting up and taking a donning protective equipment so that we don't have that Patriot play just explode with corona virus like it did in Seattle because almost every one of them is really on the verge just like the cruise ships. Good Point -portant point Zeki Manual. Dr Peter Hotels. Thank you

"I am drafting one more team tonight. You're looking at him as a top four. Pick if not sooner than that in your draft yes he will not be one hundred percent ready to go in terms of being in football shape but it says nikiel elliott last year he averaged twenty carries the game and five perceptions options again. He had twenty nine more touches than any other player in the n._f._l. And he missed a game. He is the preeminent workhorse back in the n._f._l. Expected to me a close facsimile to that on sunday sunday against the giants. What impact does his presence now. His return have on prescott value. It actually helps dak. Some thought that maybe not having zeke would mean more passing yards arts for dak prescott well that has been incredibly efficient as a running quarterback specifically near the goal line. He's got six rushing touchdowns in each of his first three seasons. Zeke zeke may do some of the dirty work between the twenties but it presents more opportunities project press got to close the job either through throwing touchdown or a rushing touchdown when she has shown a penchant it for early on in his career this helps the value of dak prescott who by the way is in a very favorable spot. We one if you're looking to maybe stream your quarterback in week one because 'cause you're nervous about. Someone like aaron rodgers facing agreement. Excuse me facing the chicago bears on thursday night. Let let me ask you while i have you here. A couple of other fantasy questions shady mccoy signed with the chiefs over the weekend. How do you see their running game shaking out from a fantasy perspective. Nobody over the weekend saw their value to get hit more than damian williams. The chiefs previously starting starting running back because the shawn mccoy was given enough money that indicates the chiefs didn't just bring there to be a spectator can do greenie is he's still outstanding in space. The yards per carry early last year was brutal for lucia mcquaid but it was tough. Offensive line and offensive was a work in progress. I think it was shawn. Mccoy still is enough durability to be fifteen..

"They got rid of office coordinator because we felt like he was not supporting him enough. Jeremy fowler dak prescott the next in line. Will he become the richest player of all time when his deal gets done and we'll that'd be simple because he's the next quarterback. Next quarterback is going to be the richest and that's why jared goff got paid because the ram said not only do. We have an ascending quarterback but it's going to be ugly the next year if we wait what it'd be plays well. There's five thousand yards then. We're looking at thirty five thirty eight million and this wasn't even the deal that was under consideration really a month ago. They had an approach goff about a deal. It came together very quickly because decided hey. Let's get ahead of this money. Now feels like teams are panicking because their market skyrockets so quickly swag. I'll give you the final word on this. Do you like what the rams did hear locking goff up for the long term and making him the richest player in the game. I'll do them green because they don't grow trees. Here's the thing that people have to realize man when you the quarterback market is different than any other margaret. When you find a good one that you can win with. Maybe they're not air rodgers. Tom brady radio drew brees or guys like that but when you find one that you think you can win win and take your franchise for the knicks eight to ten years and have success and he's shown the ability to do that. You have to lock them up. The market obviously is determining a lot of what these guys again jared goff two years ago. We were talking about him. Maybe not being able to play in the league. Dak doc is going to get paid or are they are they thirty five thirty to thirty five million dollars a year quarterbacks based on our test. No they're not neither one of them are but what they have done for their franchise the importance of that position and where they are right now currently it matters look i was in the n._f._l. When album as we've got a hundred million dollars from washington redskins we knew dan will albany's wasn't worth one hundred million dollars but we knew he was worth a lot of money but the market determined that and a lot of guys after that they fell into a lot of money because alba's worth set that market up that will be the next in line. He'll be the highest paid when we do our test is worth thirty four thirty thirty five million dollars not to me personally but he is worth whatever the cowboys see him more as far as where their franchises going in the future so i think that's what it takes. Place laced jared goff made one hundred ten million dollars because jared goff is in the perfect situation. He is in a position where team is very good around him and he needs to build. A statue is sean mcvay somewhere on the south. Okay i gotta take a short break here. We have so much ado obviously. This is a really busy day from the national football league much much more from this morning's news. What does this zeke elliott contract mean for saquon barkley answers to that question and more. It's on e._s._p._n. Get off is brought to you by burger king. "What does that mean i love it and you mentioned that i was president of the players association the only way you normally get things things done is with collective action but we're seeing individual accidents something that we'd never see an n._f._l. Individual action like this having this much leverage in getting this much power and g._m. So you know the way these are. The other owners going to be mad jerry for doing this because this is now a precedent. I'm not really want to talk about saquon barkley when he might have to go in there and tell the giants. He wants a new deal. This is a new precedent now. A three year rookie will had two years left on his contract. Will the other owners be upset about this well. I don't think so from this standpoint because i think you nailed the green because dallas cowboys this year are super bowl contenders woodsy kelly. Let's compare that with the chargers situation melvin gordon try the same. He ran the same play he lost cost so i think this is much more operational. I think don makes a really good point last year. The dallas cowboys were a top five team time of possession which made their defense a lot better so i. I think z. has value. That's more than just the right back position so i think the other owners will look at this is this is a very unique situation swagger when let's get to this stuff that i think most fans is care about. I love the minutia of all of this collective bargaining stuff but i don't know that most football fans do marcus fears. Here's what most football fans care about with zeke elliot now back and hopefully any better than ever are the cowboys the best team in your mind in the n._f._c. No they're not the best team but they definitely should be a team contending to win the n._f._c. I think the saints green you know my pick in the n._f._c. is the new orleans saints because drew brees is going to try to decapitate every football team that he plays but with that being said with zeke has done for this franchise in for this organization way he brings to the field and don pointed to it. Mike pointed to force the defense but offensively look there. There are few players we get in professional sports that literally get other players. Play sips paid simply because they're on the team. Zeke is one of those guys that's gonna get dak prescott pay. He's gonna open up downfield for some receive. If not amari cooper they'll bring some receiver and they'll give him some money. In order to play z. effects everything that this team is doing and usually players. Don't recognize that importance they have to a football team or franchise chas but zeke did it gives age rocky arts no credit for both of them recognizing how much of an impact they have on this football team not just offensively and and the narrative will be a super bowl contenders. You said a lot of smart things except that the saints are better than that so i disagree with you there. This roster is stacked. They may be the most talented and i think they're probably one of the best teams n._f._c. about the saints but everything else who said is right about ezekiel. Let's talk about the immediacy of this okay. He's got a deal now. It's wednesday morning. They will practice today. Ezekiel ezekiel elliot and i have very little in common but we have both been to kabo in my experience in kabul. I've never seen anyone inva- jim so my question. Is i get that he's not being being there for the same circumstances that i've been there for but what can we expect from him. Realistically this sunday against the giants every game precious is in the n._f._l. You can't give any of them away so i imagine they're gonna put him out there early. They're going to test this week and see how he feels and if they feel good about it they're going to put them out there early and if he plays well they're gonna keep writing. That may be a mistake but that's what they're gonna do. Because that's what football the words mike tannenbaum soft tissue absolutely durell rivas is the other two words come out my mouth and i've had experience with this and the giants and the redskins are their first two games division division games are about a game and a half so it's not necessarily the quality of the quantity of the place..

"Some. I'm done gotta have here. It is here's zeke elliot. You see the names on your screen loud collins or they got done yesterday. Jalen smith about two weeks ago and demarcus lawrence earlier in this off season mr teague. I'll tell you what journey are. We just said i totally agree with which time has been on dak prescott sat side from a standpoint jared goff just made a lot more money for dak prescott. The cowboys cannot let him go. We saw that once. Dom in terms of kirk cousins are very average quarterback at ninety thousand guaranteed from the minnesota vikings so if i'm dak prescott i liked going last it really to help position. I think i'm gonna get you in a minute but let me bring marcus spears into the conversation the longtime cowboy who knows the ins and outs of this as anybody marcus. We've been talking about this and feels like forever. The zeke deal is done. What's your reaction. My reaction is is wonderful. Look first of all. There's value back in the running back market. I think everybody understands that as we continue. Can you to have this conversation. People have to remember lady. I'm bill was planning under a franchising todd. Gurley was up for deep physique to get a deal done at this period in time time and we had we talked about it at nauseam greenie egg and mitee. He did not have to get a contract right now. The dallas cowboys did not have to pay him and and i think that alone makes this more significant than any other running back <hes> contract our conversation that they value this position especially when it's built around with zeke is running back and how this team is being structure. We just saw leo collins. Get a new contract as well. Don't think that that wasn't in mind that we we'll have arguably the best or one of the best running backs in the n._f._l. Running behind an offensive line that we wanna keep intake the deal is wonderful for z is wonderful for the cowboys boys and it's wonderful for what they want to do. As a football team we can get caught up in the money and the guarantees but here's the structure of this football team literally the piece that they needed to come back together in order for them to be a good football team on the field and at the end of the day. That's what everybody's concerned with. Yes his long leverage in. All of this has been a super bowl team with him. They're not without him and everyone knows that niki been shaking your head a lot this morning. I think he's let me talk to the best laugh obviously but i think market about him. Being the lynch pin to their team is important. It's not just the offense. The defense team has had the fewest drives as a defense of anybody license two thousand sixteen. That's in part because of zeke elliott doesn't often subsided ball so he means a lot there and i think <hes> along with with marcus at our. I don't know why but i get so happy. Whenever anybody gets paid. It feels good to see a guy get paid a guy who's worked that hard in earns it and i do remember. I want to bring to your attention that we this whole off season in god bless jerry jones and steven jones for talking and saying all types of nonsense because it gave us stuff for us to talk about all season but all they've been saying has been nonsense this. We're not gonna reset the market. Not only did you reset the market. You set a precedent of signing a guy two years earlier so you pay them more than anyone else has got paid and you've set president the other. G._m.'s might have a problem in case. There's anyone not aware you were the president of the players association at one time so your knowledge of this stuff is informed by that yeah i have plenty of experience with jerry jones and his it might come off like i don't like him. When when i say that what he's saying is not since i do like it a fun guy to be around but i know when his when his mouth opens sometimes lies come up quite often lies come out and we've seen a lot of lies in fairness to him. That's true in a lot of negotiations with a lot of right. They say what seems beneficial on their side but at the end of the they don't have to say it publicly..

"Again sling dot com slash vox dash n._f._l. Okay so the thing <hes>. What do you think what do you think how do you feel because there's a lot of stuff going on seemingly in every direction as we mentioned before the break the cowboys have two candidates in kana mcgovern and luke gifford that they can place on injured reserve serve which would free up to roster spots. Now i mentioned earlier how i wrote something about. The biggest surprise is from the roster. The only one i didn't mention was justin phillips. Justin phillips balled out for the cowboys in the preseason and everybody's still wondering why he's not on the team why he didn't get added to the practice squad the cowboys tried and ultimately emily didn't add <hes> tried to add cow queiro and you wonder well if you're interested in him for your practice squad. Why were you not interested in justin phillips. I think the answer is obvious. It's an assumption but i think the answer is obvious in that. It's clear that the cowboys wanted to carry luke gifford on their fifty three man roster gesture that they could put him on injured reserve and with the ability to return which is probably going to happen and then once that roster spot is available. They'll sign justin phillips to the roster outright that that seems to make sense that makes an overwhelming amount of sense the other roster spot that could be gained by moving connor mcgovern at the fifth through your mentor astor likely belongs to ezekiel elliott. I think we all believe that and and it's really kind of hard to figure out what you believe. Do you believe that zeke is going to play this season for the cowboys. Do you believe that he wanted to play week one for the cowboys. Do you believe that contract. You you know extension is going to happen between now and i dunno wednesday whatever on sunday there were all sorts of reports really on saturday. It got started <hes> saturday afternoon. Riders college football kind of kicked off by the way what a glorious weekend of college football we had. I know there were no real great games but it was still awesome to have it back in our lives. I'm looking so forward to my in texas aggies heading to clemson on saturday. It's not gonna be a great result but still gonna have. We're gonna have some good times and then we'll enjoy the l._s._u. Texas game him as a nightcap before cowboys on sunday but anyway e._s._p._n.'s adam schefter reported on saturday afternoon. That talks were intensifying between the cowboys. Whoa whoa whoa if felt like the michael scott gift it's happening moment and so everybody got all excited and while where where is the deal with what happened i mean we we heard talks intensifying and then sunday report comes out from the dallas morning news yeah actually there's a little bit more ground to cover than we we all initially thought and then sunday. There were all sorts of reports. I mean there were reports that talks for heating up. The things are really moving. They were talks. You know that there were no talks e._s._p._n. E._s._p._n. and w._f._a._n. Reported that one source told archer and mike leslie that the cowboys and you know zeke's people's camp didn't even talk on sunday eh and todd archer thought of e._s._p._n. Brought up a great point. You know that the cowboys could be close but that he was told that they didn't talk on sunday and you would think that that if they were close that they would talk right and i think you know you can also throw in or at least consider the fact that this was a holiday weekend. It is labor day happy labor day it everybody so maybe that you know like i don't know some banks are closed. I mean you know what i mean like. I just that's gotta be some factor in some way but but so i will say this my own personal assessment is that when we start to hear things like this like talking. It's he knob etc typically typically when there's smoke. There's fire and if there's you know i don't my point is i don't think we would be hearing this type of stuff and this type of these type of things would be being reported if there was no movement at all. There's clearly some movement. Maybe it's not going to drop until monday..

"New to report withy negotiations jones also said that the team was prepared to play without certain players players due to injury suspension or even a holdout when asked if the cowboys would need to lighten the load for week. One jerry had this to say listen <hes>. We've got a marathon here and we won't zeke. When we get to the play offs. We won't zeke when we're in the dog days of this season and and as you well know you have to plan your personnel and you have to manage a player the caliber of zeke you have to <music> as to what parts of the game he using how much wish to using and so <hes> fresh zeke as we got into the end of the season would be great well shannon how many games will seek miss during his own when i was killed tuesday. Don't worry we're getting. I took her is not your labor. I must overslept. I believe he will miss a minimum of four games. This doesn't sound like like the positive jerry jones. The guy who says didn't wouldn't use the word hold out veep just haven't reported yet remember. That was a big thing. He hasn't reporting this the holdout now. Let me tell you what jerry this jerry said. A couple of a couple of weeks ago is too good for them and it's too good for the cowboys. Let me say that again jimmy. It's too good for them is too good for the cowboys. Now we want a fresh the when it comes plows time now. I just want you to know j you being buried dismissive if the other team you automatically assume that's betas hates that betas hayes when someone says oh you like the team just going to lay down for you. Oh oh no. He's if he wants to manage our player of zeke's caliber you want to manage as low now. This is what he said back in two thousand sixteen the more all we can give him the ball the better now you wanna pay a guy x. amount of dollars. Why do you get more money and do less work to do that afghan. I want that job. Oh i love it. The only thing that's going to get these size to move one way or another other and i believe jerry jones doing this because he looked at the schedule and he said we have some very favourable matchups early on now we know during the course of the year there'd be teams that you look at like they're not going to be big good and they're better than you think and there are some teams that you look and you say they will be pretty good and they're not as good as you think jerry. Jerry jones is looking at the schedule skip. He's looking at like <hes>. We got the jazz lab very good. We got miami now. Let's just say for the sake of argument demint. They had the patriots. The saints the eagles to start the season. I think we see jerry. Jones singing look different tune but he does not seem as positive positive as he did. These things get done mo is going to get done now. He's talking about not afraid. Zeke playoff time wouldn't be such a bad thing. That doesn't sound like a guy that this deal is right around the corner. <hes> excuse me as he said there been no movement is being reported sorted that the cowboys have not offered anything different than what they had at the beginning so like well. I'm not motivated a move move. One thing is going to move the move the player or the team one way or another the schedule the record. That's going to move the cowboys or that's go to move zeke. It's as simple as that jenny. I gotta tell you what's up. I feel so sorry sorry for my partner across the table..

"It. If you are just it makes your skin crawl the idea of paying a running back the reality though is that's very fair for zeke okay. That's very very fair and the reason i say this is a point that joe thomas former cleveland browns left tackle. Now does a tomahawk show and he's a great follow on twitter kc point. He raised it. A lot of people have raised. Zeke technically deserves to be paid like the best running back in the n._f._l. And i know that you don't wanna pay that i know yeah but if we're talking about a world of objectivity if we're talking about a world driven by data if we're talking about a world based on statistical evidence zeke absolutely absolutely deserves to be paid like the n._f._l.'s best running back and maybe you don't want to couch to be that team but if it was my job to make sure that zeke elliott got as much money money as possible. I would not settle for anything less than the most in the n._f._l. Because zeke's resume outshines todd girls it outshines levy on bells it outshines christian mccaffrey's shines barclays only been in the n._f._l. One-season but you get my point. He has a resume that is incredible. He's led the league in rushing to the last three seasons. He's been the engine that's propelled his offense and his team to division titles in those two seasons to the divisional round in both of those two seasons yes he's had off the field incidents that are scary and warrant consideration ration- and could potentially justify paying a little bit less than his onfield statistics would deny he deserves but the fact remains that he is an incredible football player and so you have to honestly consider the fact that he deserves to be paid like the highest paid running back on the n._f._l. So all that being said okay all of that being said if i can pay him like the league's second-best running back in the n._f._l. I'm doing that because that's technically good value. That is technically paying less than what what in this case zeke is worth. I mean if if i had to buy a new car and i hate drying up analogy. It's like this but it's friday so i feel weird if i had to buy a new car and you you told me the car was forty thousand dollars the list price that's what it was going for aren't even know what all the things are called carfax and whatever all the commercials it was going forty thousand forty thousand forty thousand forty forty thousand and i didn't want to buy a new car maybe on the fence whatever but all of a sudden i could get it for like thirty four thousand dollars. Hey all of a sudden. I'm way more interested in this car because i can get it for less less than it is. Worth less than the market rate that is a point that people have when it comes to dak prescott do not want to pay the market rate pay him thirty two million dollars. I'm not paying thirty thirty five..

"Message. That's a big deal. It's a control message and i think in a similar way. This is is that this wasn't zeke was heard offhand at the resort and kabo. Somebody heard him saying he felt disrespected. No no this was was his agents words transcribed words that he gave to mort to <hes> to share with the world and look. It's all a game all right. It's all all the game of checkers chess if you watched sunday's episode of big brother is kind of a complicated thing. It's all a game right. Now of posturing trying china get one side to cave trying to play the media trying to understand the way the movement and the crowds are working for what it's worth. We tweet a poll on the blog on the voice twitter account on monday afternoon us happening we asked how do you feel about zeke and his agent finding this disrespectful. We had four options one definitely disrespectful to wouldn't bother me. Three three zeke is overreacting for it's all agent talk. <hes> the lowest response was that it wouldn't bother you with eleven percent second lowest was that it was definitely really disrespectful with jerry jones said twenty two percent of the votes twenty four percent of people said that is definitely overreacting and forty three percent lead the way noting that it's it's all agent talk and that's my take away from this. This is zeke's agent. What jerry said was it a joke absolutely it was it's definitely a joke with jerry. Jones say we all laughed ha yeah. It's funny man. It's only politburo zeke's better. That's what jokes do but it was not necessarily a wise thing to say that a wise thing to say when you're in the middle of contract negotiations but arjun arjun was a joke. I know it was a joke. I know it was a joke and it was funny. I laughed you laughed but it still doesn't mean it was smart to say and that being said zeke's agent saw that as an opportunity i'm not saying that this worked out but zeke's agents saw that as an opportunity in tribe exploit it because while this did not happen even the possibility existed that lots of cowboys fans would rally around what zeke's agent told chris moore said and say dow was so disrespectful full of jerry jones. He needs to pay zeke elliott etc. I mean it is it's posturing. That's what's happening here. Zeke's agent read the situation. A bit did improperly tried this played. This hand and i don't want to say that blew up in his face but if you i mean the temperature of cowboys fans that i'm getting we're seeing a blog on the boys is that people are miffed that zeke could be legitimately disrespected by what jerry jones said given the context texts of it being a joke if you're curious from my own personal thoughts. I don't personally believe that zeke or his agent felt disrespected. Can't i can't speak for these two people because you know they speak for themselves but my read on the situation is that they saw this as an opportunity to try and capitalize on something jerry jones said which was not wise of him that should be said they saw this as an opportunity they shot their shot and they missed they missed in that fans did not necessarily surly gravitate towards zeke. Sometimes that happens sometimes in contract negotiations word gets out to help fans. Kinda jump on the side of the teams aren't by the side the player etc. This was a shot at zeke's side seemed to take and i don't think that it landed and you know what i don't blame them for taking that shot right now they're trying to get zeke elliot the most money that they possibly can there are lots of strategies and thoughts and and so many avenues of planning that go into that and i mean as much money as you can. I don't fault anybody for that <hes>. I don't know that i fall to such a heavy word. I don't know that i fought jerry jones for percent what he did but it was not wise was it innocent generally but it was not wise so that's kind of where we're at with zeke in that he the and his agent apparently felt disrespected by what jerry jones said in terms of his joke. I think everybody understands what's happening here and i think we all just have to keep waiting..

"That's not getting ready to happen. Randy and i were great friends. The business we got the business and everything done so the friendship could thrive in. There have been no friendship if that deal didn't get done if the jam said no well you wouldn't have. I'm not going to extend myself but so far the reason why. I take very a few days off here. I'm not going to help someone. The system in nebraska cast a career in fox. Come and hire them and take my spot. I'll be damn no they wanna get some reps. Go somewhere also get beat. No not going to happen to me. The business end the friendship. You have to make them work because they will coexist and fill in some blanks here because i love this story. I've talked about it. As soon as the contract got worked out then chris called randy come down to florida will work out together. It wasn't so much has that chris maybe would have just not shown minnesota but wouldn't certainly win and gone that extra mile certainly wouldn't have done the things that randy needed as a young player out of marshall who had it's growing very fair is almost everyone does at that age may be rainy in particular anthem just learning about the n._f._l. Even if he had been larry fitzgerald if matt he's still needed it. Would you still need businesses business apps. Oh you mean as far as right because larry someone you've known since he was a child if data drafted him as far as on dakyns can seek to bring it back and what was dak without a more and what was with them were zeke is better zeke is more to me more important onto deck then amaury. Even though amar is the guy he's throwing to if if dhec zeke's not there guess what amores doubled and you're not throwing them that much anymore either guess yes what all those beneficial fronts that even those fronts. You couldn't always take advantage of your deck. Those are gone and now all of a sudden. They are dropping extra guys into coverage. They've someone and pretending to bullets. Who's actually going to drop back and try to trick you so much of what is in a place in his career and i don't want to act like he will always be here but he is is right now where he needs a really stable and really advantageous ten guys around him in order for him to be anywhere. We're close to a force multiplier. If you remove the most important piece if you remove the piece that defense is worry about the five days leading up to a game it impacts him more than anybody more than the offensive lineman more than a more and more than anybody so yeah listen dax in a weird spot because he wants his money share but you need zeke and what he doesn't want so he doesn't want is for his deal not to get done his being dax and zeke not to show up and the cowboys to see four or five games of dak act without zeke until he has his money locked in. That'll cost a hell of a lot more money even see in a few extra million dollars and cutting into that salary cap and complicated the by now. You've heard the hype surrounding the cleveland browns. How could you not new coach great players sky-high optimism for the first time he years well yesterday. The first year head coach freddie kitchens gave us a glimpse into how the show we'll be run moving forward the days of inside information and in the days of of <hes> unnamed sources and stuff like that have ended so you're not gonna get information like that ever anybody if i ever see it. "Elliott. He is not at cowboys training camp and will reportedly Hordley be training in Kabo. Instead must be nice. Zeke also spent time there when he was suspended in two thousand seventeen a cowboy source told N._F._l.. Network it's not a good look for Zeke to be going to Kabo in a move that may or may not be related Dallas sign former pro bowl running back Alfred Morris yesterday I also yesterday Jerry Jones made some very interesting comments about Zeke's holdout. Take a listen. You don't have to have a rushing champion to win a Super Abo- but Emmett was the first one to do it and that's one of the dilemmas at running back is that the League knows that you can win super bowls and and not have the Emmett Smith back. There are not have Z. back there consequently when we are looking and putting Zeke's contract track in place. We've got to realize that the ultimate goal is to win the Super Bowl and so you've got to do all of the things along I'm with having Zeke that allow you to have other players so that you can win the Super Bowl and that's what we're going through in those comments Jerry in Jerry's upset because he knows Zeke the one big alphabet could upset the cart he he knows that skill Bela's no and a lot of cowboy fans know that that's why Jerry is lashing out now. Jerry brought the team what skip eight he bought the team in eighty eight nine eighty nine now when has Jerry Jones ever been concerned we what the League things do you realize in the nineties when Jerry Jones did a unilateral deal with Nike for the jerseys all other teams had coke deal Jerry did Pepsi Juno ticketmaster.

"Not We got way less guarantee right see the thing of skip. Here's the thing when you see a guy says okay. He signed a four year extension. He gets four years plus. The two years left on contract so whatever the two years left plus what he got so Zeke Science for P.. Let's just say he gets a a three year extension. For fifty five million with forty million guarantee will he still has two years left at thirteen million so another word is about to be a six year deal or five or six year deal for sixty five up sixty six million. They just don't wipe away those last two years on the contract and give three more years they add on so Zeke is like okay. Whatever all I need to know is that how much money am I go fully get? I'm not talking about no roster bonus because y'all outside noise. You're operate. y'All MS writing cut me before leaving New Year's start and I ain't on the roster doing that. I won't better than by cutting so give me you know what's how maybe I'll get guarantee guarantee dog how about forty four well. I won't forty five meal and one dollar and you think that's going to be something one dollar jared. I'm beer. You got that Ballpark ballpark but not that high just just match it. That's all you can do because it's completely out of bounds already on either dollar more in just remember the way Zeke is made up psychologically. He's much more likely to quote unquote cave-in in earlier than him. It was because emit did not like to practice. He did not like to work out hard. He had already won a super bowl ring the yearbook war right so you already have that if I'm not mistaken him and led the League and Russian that year believe he did. I think so Zeke like Whoa Whoa Whoa wait a minute jerry. I'm too for three would have been three three. I need you to break break because you're telling me you know you can't really trust me but you cut me and I'm still acting to fool so you can trust me a little bit of money but you can't trust with a little bit of money. I need mind here. I need to go in and great brea. It's interesting what you said about how his teammates are handling the situation but I do want to point out this is so early on and it felt like like with the steelers it was as it continued. We had a conversation about Ramon falls too and they would just go into camp..

"The super bowl correct jerry was feeling himself he was full of himself and sometimes he was full of you know what right and as they hit nineteen ninety-three he was willing to dig in against an immigrant who we love they were very close. Just as Zeke End Jerry or very close vehicle you might be closer to Zeke's he probably probably now he's gotten closer to emit but it they kind of went to quote unquote war. They got a little personal but the difference between Zeke and Emmett is Zeke loves being around the FELLAS Zeke loves to practice he does. He loves to play football. He loves to compete. He loves to win. Football Games did what he did. It kind of came fairly naturally. He was a workout warrior. I think Zeke is a workout warrior. You remember when he went to Kabo over the six game stretching came back. Did he not look sleek and fit yeah. He Geico I remember when he showed up the camp. He didn't look sleek. Look sleek and fit right okay. So is it possible that he's now in Frisco Texas where he lives. Just working out get ready. Do you think he's starting to miss the fact that he reads on the Internet whatever he sees the video on whatever he's Oh they're all out there a missing that right now and I don't have to miss it in back in two thousand seventeen. He was forced out for six game right now. He's not forced out but these camp days. If you're holding out they start to drag on and they get longer and longer and you start to get itchy or an issue because you love football and you know that that your life expectancy is pretty short so y you want your big contract. Potentially your last big one. You also want to be with the garden in out there in Oxnard do because it's fun out there especially skip. I remember ninety two hours holding out because I you Charles Seven round picks on the side of the two year deal and I remember my agent columnist says are probably would've showed up early but the Olympics were going on. I wanted to catch limited Olympics but anyway and he said I think we hold out another two or three days. I think we can get extra fifty. We're fifty thousand dollars with a lot of money but choosing. "Name and but I expect him to to have a Mazda year DeMarco. Murray's single season rush record is in trouble that eight how of the Cowboys now that eighteen forty eight is in serious jeopardy because I believe he'll get somewhere between three fifty. Four hundred carries a season and he'll be somewhere between four and a half, maybe even five yards. So he could easily approach that two thousand yard burying Zeke Elliott is going to be a monster. Scott. Thank you for opening that door for me because I'm going to run through the door. You just open. I'm going to go you several better on this one. I'm gonna. I remind you that we're approaching our to your aniversary undisputed, our partnership. We welcome Ginny, the partnership, but two years on September six. Soon after we launched two years ago, I started predicting that Russell Westbrook would average a triple double for that twenty sixty day any seventeen season and he did. So I'm about to make another prediction. I believe that if all goes well, obviously health plays a bigger factor, bigger role often in football than it doesn't basketball. But if a bunch of people stay healthy for the Dallas Cowboys offense including most of all Zeke, you'll Elliot. I believe he will break Eric Dickerson's NFL single Watson, rushing record of two thousand one hundred and five yards. Eric, obviously a contributor here on. Not like me predicting that, but I am predicting that because it all all the planets have aligned for this to happen this year in the back friendly offense that you suggest. But I'm going to point out that that year in LA for the Rams that was nineteen Eighty-four. Remember that was thirty four years ago record. I remember it has endured for thirty four years because in those days it was more regular for a back. The lead back of the team. In this case, Eric Dickerson of the Los Angeles Rams at that point to have more carries than the team through pass. So he had really hundred seventy nine carries and all their passers and they had three different ones play mostly Jeff camp out of Dartmouth university, which is why he was running the ball, but they only three hundred and fifty eight total passes. So three seventy. Nine runs to three.
