"Everybody's scrambling for power, right? There's all these long lines of people waiting to get hooked up, getting power, getting that infrastructure developed to deliver that much power to the miners. It's like, we've got 300x the hash worth of latent electrical infrastructure. Let's go take it over. The benefits are a more secure network and a hyper decentralized network. Zach, welcome back to the show. Even though this is the first time for the audience, this is the second time for us. I think there's a lot more depth the second time around because I feel like we got to know each other in our test run of an episode in which we lost the episode, or we lost enough of it that we're going to have to do this over again. But we're going to see how round two goes, right? We're going to run this back.

Episode 120 The AI Tsunami Transforming Your Dining Experience with Zack Oates - burst 3

"And, and what we, what I talk about is hospitality. Right. Because now, yeah, I got my start in the restaurants and, and you know, you got, uh, you, you cut your teeth with Wolf and, and you've had all these great experiences there. And, uh, but one of the thing is that with me right now, I've worked with over 5 ,000 restaurants about their guest experience and talking about what are they doing to improve their guest experience and talking about how to measure that. And so I've seen a thing or two when it comes to the guest experience, you want to talk about how to optimize, you know, your P and L's and get better pricing on potatoes. Like I'm not your guy, but if you want to talk about how do you create a great guest experience, I've seen millions of points of data on this. And in fact, Ovation, we collect millions of points of data every month about this. Awesome. And we've come down to this, what I call the ladder of loyalty on the first rung, the bottom rung to get up to the top of the ladder of loyalty is convenience. Yes. You've got to have the expectations of the experience exceed the effort, right? And the higher the effort to go, the better the expectations of the experience should be. And that'll get somebody in a first time. And we're talking about online reviews here. We're talking about word of mouth. We're talking about, Donald, you got to check out this restaurant I went to. It's so amazing. And you're like, Zach, it's an hour drive and it's $100 a plate. And I'm like, Donald, it could be around the world and $1 ,000 a plate. It'll still be worth it. Are you going to go if I explain a restaurant like that? Yeah, yeah. Absolutely. Yeah. I say if I say, oh, there's a restaurant. It's right around the corner from you. It's not very good. But look, they get they had like really good dollars. It's super close. It's like it's super close and it's a dollar tacos. And you're like, OK, like, oh, sure, I'll try it. Like whatever. I might. You might. I might. But yeah, maybe maybe not tacos. But, you know, McDonald's McDonald's dollar soda. Right. The value menu. Why does McDonald's stay in business is because if they're like, you know, because they have the best burgers in the world. No, no, no. I will. I will say, though, I will say, though, their burgers, their quarter pounder with cheese is not a bad burger. And anyone who says otherwise, I think, is just like gets a preconceived notion. So anyway, but but that'll get somebody in the first time, right, Donald? Yes. But then you you don't want to stay at that bottom rung. There have been millions of restaurants that have died at that bottom rung. Exactly. Because that second level, which is really what it comes down to, the reason that you hire really good coaches, the reason that you get bring on trainers, the reason that you want to track what's going on is consistency. Right. On the bottom level, you have convenience in the middle, you have consistency and they'll get somebody in a few times. Right. Definitely. Let's say that you go to this. You go to a good restaurant. It's you know, you go the first time. You're like, OK, yeah, sure. That was that was a good experience. My expectations were met. And now you go back a second time and the service is horrible. And the the bun is dry and the flavor is missing out on the brie that goes on your burger, because by the way, that's exactly what happened to me today for lunch. No way. Yeah. There's a place I've been to one other time before, since they got ownership and it was like it was OK. But then this time I was like, all right, let's give it one more shot. And like everything was bad about it. And so it was inconsistent. I got the same thing both times. It was two very different experiences. So what's the likelihood of me going back? Pretty, pretty slim. Yeah. But if you can get to that highest level on the ladder of loyalty, then you have got someone who is a raving fan. You've got someone who is a five star review leaving. You know, it's my birthday catering, ordering when there's a party at the office we need to go to. That is about connection. So it's you've got your convenience, you've got your consistency, and then you've got your connection. And when you can connect with the guest to help them feel important. That is when they could forgive mistakes. That is when they let you know when something goes wrong. That is when they'll go to leave you five star reviews without you asking. And like these are the types of things that you need to do. And

Lary Elder Is Running for President

"Let me talk about let me talk about this real quick. Actually, let's do this. Let's do this. Zack, if we do we have time, this is a rather lengthy audio clip, but this is Larry elder's announcement. Do we have enough time before the first break? Okay, all right, so Zach, if we could, let's go ahead. This runs just shy of 5 minutes. I know this is, this takes a minute, but it's Larry elder. On Tucker Carlson, it's worth hearing. So we'll talk about this and then we'll get into some of the culture war issues and we'll get into the fact that Hunter Biden or actually the CIA and blinken rigged the 2020 election. We'll talk about that shortly. Let's play audio clip. Number one, phobos act. Larry elder has been in California media forever telling the truth in a really smart and sometimes hilarious way, he just ran for me in a recall election against Gavin Newsom, he came up short after the state's media united to call him a white supremacist. Still makes us laugh. It's pretty offensive actually, but he's not deterred. He is a major announcement for us tonight. Our friend Larry elder joins us. Now, Larry, thanks so much for coming on. And I'm sorry to laugh at that. I'm sure it's hard for you to laugh at, but it's just it's so insane. So what are you up to next? Well, Tucker, you almost have to laugh at it. It's so ridiculous. And actually, the actual quote was Larry elder, is the black face of white supremacy Tucker, and the sub headline was you've been warned. By the way, one other LA times called in this referred to my views as white supremacists. Why? Because I'm pro life because I don't buy the notion that America is systemically racist because I want to cure borders because I want us to be energy independent instead of energy dependent because I know that our urban schools are a disaster. So for all those reasons, I was called the blackface of white supremacy and a white supremacist in terms of my views. My announcement Tucker is I'm announcing that I'm running for the presidency of the United States on your program and thank you so much for giving me this honor and this platform. Of course. "That men and women in the 22 midterm elections if you just want to talk the politics of this and the politics I mean you know me well enough to know that the politics of this are secondary to me I think the cause of life is the cause of our time And with the three Supreme Court Justices appointed during the Trump Pence administration we've given the American people a new beginning for life We turn this question to the states to the American people We have an opportunity to restore the sanctity of life to the center of American law But if you want to think about the politics of this there is this idea going around that that it's a loser The Democrats invest millions of dollars in it But here's what we saw Looking very closely at these races around the country market And that is that Republicans that shied away from the issue Or let Democrats define their position Did not fare well But Republicans who leaned into the issue with principal and compassion did very well And they did well in states and in congressional districts all across the country I was in Des Moines I will be back in Iowa this weekend I was in Des Moines Iowa where Zack made all they did was run abortion ads against Zack Maine who has about 8 beautiful children with he and his wife And he just went on television and he said he said I'm pro life And it comes straight from our heart and we love children and the express compassion for women facing crisis pregnancies He committed support for newborns at the same extent as the unborn and now Zack main the citizen is congressman Zach mayne in what was one of the most competitive races in the country So that's my view Is our people don't understand that when you stand on principle and you express it with compassion the American people will rally to the cause of life

She was appointed by George W. Bush. Went to give a talk at Stanford law school sponsored by the federalist society. He was greeted by a full on riot by enraged Stanford law students, led by one of the deans, the dean of diversity, equity, and inclusion at Stanford, encouraging them to shout down this judge and not allow him to speak. On his way in, some of these Stanford law students were chanting, we hope your daughter is raped. These are Stanford law, remember, is a feeder school to the U.S. Supreme Court. Look, we need to be clear. These elite law schools, people in elite law firms are now realizing that to hire someone from Stanford law school, Yale law school, most of those places have gone so crazy. You're begging for lawsuits and a nightmare if you hire graduates of what were the elite institutions and Stanford law school has just shown us the latest example of this. So this judge came and he was not allowed to speak he was shouted down by enraged students who said his daughter should be raped. What did this guy do? What had he done that was sought rages? Had he ruled in favor of racial segregation? Had he ruled in favor of, I don't know, killing newborn children who survived abortion attempts, even if he'd done one of those things. Tara Reade Reacts to Ashley Biden's Alleged Diary Entry

"We are back with Tara Reade. Tara, I wanted to get your reaction to this. This is a diary entry from Ashley Biden. The diary has been confirmed as real and authentic and one of her entries says this. It just says hyper sexualized at a young age. What is this due to? Was I molested? I think so. I can't remember specifics, but I do remember trauma. I remember not liking the wool Zack's house. I remember somewhat being sexualized with Caroline. I remember having sex with friends at a young age, showers with my dad probably not appropriate. What's your reaction to seeing something like that? Yeah, I mean, that's a deeply personal diary entry. So my heart goes out to whoever wrote that. I mean, and obviously they've verified that it's Ashley Biden. I think it's deeply disturbing. I mean, I don't know how anyone could not read that and think that's not deeply disturbing. Yeah. Yeah, it's tragic because for a long time the left tried to discredit the diary pretend it wasn't real. It's kind of like what they did with Hunter Biden trying to discredit the laptop and all of this as opposed to seeing this is a person in such deep pain. I mean, I feel horrible for Ashley Biden having to go through this. That's so sad she mentioned even with her sister. And then you think of hunter. I mean, he's, of course, guilty of crimes, but he's also a disturbed person. Dad wasn't there for him. There was a lot of personal information on the laptop. He struggles with drug addiction and things like that. And so it's really sad to see the left just kind of belittle it and act like, oh, it doesn't matter. It's not a big deal. We're just going to prop up Joe Biden as opposed to focusing on the whether it's sexual assault or mental health.

"Kevin Roberts does a fabulous job running the heritage foundation, heritage dot org, Kevin, welcome to the program. Great to join you at here we are in America at this crossroads where not everyone knows what time it is. You certainly do. Your audience does. And so it's always a great pleasure to be with you. Thank you. So we're about to see it looks like the arrest of Donald Trump on awful and terrible charges. You mentioned what time is it? Why don't you elaborate on that? What time is it? Is it time for op eds and newspaper articles? No, man. That's D.C. swamp thing. What time it is is for people to recognize, hey, we do have to do one bit of recognition and don't mean that passively, but recognize that we have a two tiered system of justice in this country that's relevant regardless of what someone thinks about president Trump. And so if I encounter someone who isn't as grateful for him as you and I and your audience are, I say it doesn't matter because if this can happen to him, it can happen to all of us. But number two, we really do need to. And I mean, this figuratively, because of all the charges that will come my way and your way, if it's taken literally, to tear out root and branch this two tiered system of justice, whether it is going into the Federal Bureau of Investigation and totally starting from scratch, or as my heritage colleagues have done, calle stimson and Zack Smith. They've been analyzing with great detail, the rogue prosecutors in this country, including this Joker in New York. We have to completely overhaul that. The time is for action. And by action Charlie, I mean action that changes things permanently, understanding that the left hates us and they hate what we believe and by calling for this action. We're not calling for violence, obviously, quite the opposite. What we're calling for is for sober minded conservative Americans centrists who don't care who their political candidate is to go take action and fixing this problem rather than just sitting around stroking our beards and writing op eds about it. California faces more wind, snow in multistate storm

"California is hit by a powerful winter storm while Michigan is trying to recover from one that left hundreds of thousands without power. Several feet of snow and several inches of rain are possible in parts of Southern California along with gusty winds while frigid temperatures are forecasted in the north as the storm moves out Saturday, says national weather service meteorologist Zack Taylor. Flooding threat, there have been reports of like mudslides and washed out roads and that kind of thing, but the worst of it is kind of winding down. In Michigan, rinker has been without power since Wednesday when the ice storm hit and I knew immediately we're not getting power back for a minute. I didn't expect it to be multiple days. This is one of the worst ice storms to hit the state in decades. It almost is a little bit like tornado destruction. Charlie Munger Calls for Crypto Ban in the U.S.

"On Groundhog Day, we have someone doubling down on their anti crypto stance and Adam is going to start us off with that. What do you got at him? Thanks, Zach. First up, a new opinion piece in The Wall Street Journal calling for a ban on cryptocurrencies is generating a lot of chatter this morning. It's authored by Charlie Munger, the ultra wealthy octogenarian vice chairman of Berkshire Hathaway, and a noted Bitcoin skeptic. In the piece, which is actually surprisingly short, munger describes cryptocurrencies as quote gambling contracts with a nearly 100% edge for the house. He then calls for a broad federal band saying in part quote, the government of China banned cryptocurrencies because it widely concluded that they would provide more harm than benefit. Before going on to cite a ban on the trading of new equities in 1700s England, which I found an interesting comparison. It's not a particularly nuanced article and notably towards the end, it suggests that after instituting a federal ban, the U.S. should quote thank the Chinese communist leader for a splendid example of common sense end quote. There's a decent amount to be said here even before we get into the rather polarized comments on the article. Jen, you want to start us off today? Sure. I love that you brought up all those quotes. It really wasn't a long article. I think when you go to The Wall Street Journal, it says it takes two minutes to listen to it, so it was very short. It had very little examples, and I have to say it was very one sided. That said, Charlie Munger, a very smart man, made billions in his life, but he doesn't like Bitcoin and we know that, right? I think it's really interesting and funny that he brings up China as the example that we should all follow in this hatred towards Bitcoin and crypto and fails to mention that China is actually leveraging the technology that powers all of this for their own benefit in their CBDC and NFT project. I know I saw Zack's hand go up, but before we get to use Zach, Adam, you brought up this gambling contract piece from the story and I have to read what came right before that. He said such a wretched excess has gone on because there is a gap in regulation, a cryptocurrency is not a currency, not a commodity, and not a security he then goes on to say, it is just a gambling contract. This man hates crypto, and I think that's okay. This is really funny that it was published as an op-ed in The Wall Street Journal given that it was so excited is my take on

DCG-Owned Luno Cuts Staff by 35%

"We have a very wintry mix of crypto stories out here today, starting with some layoff news from will. What do you got? That's right, global crypto exchange Luna is laying off about 35% of its staff, part of Barry silbert's DCG empire. It has offices in Singapore, London, and elsewhere around the globe. This is pretty bad news. Just adding more to the layoff story that we've been covering for quite a while. There's been about 29,000 layoffs according to coin desks own numbers since the beginning of the crypto bear market earlier last year. So just more numbers in terms of headcount, number seems to be a bit all over the place. Some numbers showing that Luna has about 900 employees and now trim about 300 staff, others showing that there's about 600 employees in trimming down about 200 SaaS. So we don't quite know for sure about 35% is a pretty wide margin. Luno has about 10 million different users around the globe, and they service different crypto assets via its exchange product. Of course, this is just part of DCG empire. They also own coin desk, genesis, foundry, and a few other firms such as grayscale. Zack going through the story over to you more bad news to begin the week. Yeah, for sure, man. This is the story about C 5 despite, you know, some pump and token prices and maybe some excitement, maybe a bit of macro tailwinds, still cfi is trimming headcount quite significantly. So I think there's the secular issue here, right? We saw that graphic with all the exchanges that are laying off significant chunks of their workforce. And then there's the specifics as it relates to DCG, which is in hot water, a relative to genesis, filing for bankruptcy last week, and potentially some of those dominoes falling and spilling over into some of their other assets. So Luna here is got a pinch by both those factors. And as a result, you're seeing significant job cuts announced by this exchange. So that to me is where Luna finds itself. It's pretty bleak and it adds to that really big number 29. Maybe 30,000 crypto jobs cut since April that coin desk is doing a good job keeping a running tally on.

Zack writes, even the most casual observer knows that crypto had a bad year. The reason for the industry's tumult could fill an entire article of their own. But the Bitcoin mining sector had a particularly rough year, and this article is dedicated to cataloging all of the bad things that miners suffered. From bankruptcies and resignations to de listings and lawsuits, Bitcoin miners saw it all. So here's a recap of the worst events from Bitcoin mining in 2022. Bankruptcies. Bitcoin mining companies that filed for bankruptcy or were significantly affected by counterparties filing for bankruptcy was a common theme in 2022. Compute north filed for bankruptcy in September 22. According to filings, the company owed as much as $500 million to at least 200 creditors. In February 7 months before bankruptcy, the company raised $385 million. Core scientific, the largest publicly traded Bitcoin mining company, also filed for bankruptcy a few days before Christmas. The company warned a potential bankruptcy in October 2022 as its stock price plummeted. Core plans to continue mining through its bankruptcy proceedings. Celsius, a prominent crypto lending platform also saw its sizable mining unit go bankrupt just months after the team announced its plans to go public. Celsius told bankruptcy court that continuing to mine was key to its restructuring plans. But the mining unit burned $40 million during the first two weeks of bankruptcy. BlockFi was another prominent crypto lending service that maintained a sizable mining unit and has filed for bankruptcy. To date, no reports have indicated that BlockFi is mining assets which are hosted by blockstream have been interrupted or taken offline. Marathon is another high profile publicly traded Bitcoin mining company, but they have not filed for bankruptcy. They're on this list because of their exposure to bankrupt firms, however, to illustrate the mild contagion of mining bankruptcies.

"I'm going through this. When you get in trouble in the military, it doesn't that's a lot. You might as well just be sneaking a gun and giving it to someone. I mean, it's especially true. Absolutely. Yeah, absolutely. Yeah. I'm the old guy, so I was the one they punished for. I'm the one that did all the push ups and got smoked for it because I'm the one that's supposed to keep you guys in line. So it was kind of funny getting yelled at for skittles. And the week prior, I was running S.W.A.T. ops. Crazy, crazy shift, but I truly humbling. It's something that I would never take back because it was such a great humbling experience of, you know, here's another piece where Zack's not so big and bad anymore. By any means. Right. Right. So what branch of the military did you join? Yeah, join the army and I went to basic training through officer school. So I ended up becoming an officer in the infantry. Okay. And then did you see any tours? I did. A couple different longer stints, the big one was in Afghanistan, deployed to Afghanistan in 2019 alongside the green berets. And ran combat operations for about a year in Afghanistan. You know, I remember when I was a kid and I'm old now. So this is perfectly acceptable. But I remember 5 or 6 years old and I don't think kids really played as much more. We used to play war and we were pretty intense. I mean, it was pretty intense. I remember, and I was under ten years old. I know when I moved, but it was pretty intense, and we would, you know, even got to the point of how warped we were kind of 70s, oh my God. But we would capture and torture and it's just like amazing because we were watching, we had GI Joe's back then, and then also we had what was it? What show was it? I'm trying to think of what it was. There was a military show used to watch. I can't remember what it was, but yeah, we were really heavily involved in the military. And you think about it. And then I remember as a kid and I thought, man, I hope I never have to go to war because my brother was in, I guess it was a Korean War. Yeah. Yeah, Korean was the next Soviet no, it was Vietnam was the later one, right? Korean first so Vietnam War. Vietnam. So he's in Vietnam. During that time, and I would talk to him and I was thinking, God, man, he's in real life. War. And you know, that's crazy. Especially the rank I was when I went to Afghanistan. In Vietnam, they had a two week life expectancy. Didn't expect to live more in two weeks. Vietnam was a crazy time to be thinking like to put it into perspective today. There was a lot of and my dad's a Vietnam vet. So he was in the navy, but had just crazy experiences that happened over there, man, to think, again, the evils of the world, Vietnam was well, I remember, I remember my assistant boy scout leader, he was in the Vietnam War. He had a chain wrapped around his wrist. And he was a helicopter pilot. And he would tell us stories, we were like 13 or 14 years old, and unbelievable, like his chain is from his helicopter that was shot down. And he was in great detail what happened. I remember when I signed up for the selective service when I was 18 years old and I was like, man, I'm, you know, I'm like a lover, not a fighter. I don't know how I'm going to survive. You know, I got to go, I got to go, but I sure hope I don't got to go. Because it's a lot. It's a lot for an 18 year old. You know, just to survive the world today, 18 years old, you know, 21 years old and to be in that environment, I'm really fortunate in that way until 28. It shifted looking at some of the kids. I took about a dozen kids over with me. They're 1819 soldiers. Looking at the impact they had in their life without life experience without anything outside of high school and the military. It's crazy to think that they experience the same stuff I experienced and I had a lot of issues with it. And they haven't even developed into adult shit. So thinking about the impact attached to it, I'm really fortunate. It was 28, 9 18, because like you're saying, you don't even know how to live life yet. And now you're expected to. Go over there. 90 days? 90 days training? Or 30 days? How much basic training do you get? So basic training is about that time frame about ten, 12 weeks. But my training was about 15 months. I went from basic training into after school and infantry school. So I had about 15 months straight of training. But these kids, so like when they join and they go to basic training, what 12 weeks and then they're in Afghanistan and they're in Afghanistan. Some of them usually it's for the infantry side, yeah, for the non infantry side, they have other schools they have to go through, but yeah, a lot of them within the first year. So 18, 19, basic training right out of high school right into basic training, writing in Afghanistan. Kind of the cards you get dealt. I can only imagine what it would be like to be in a flight from the U.S., Afghanistan, and you voluntarily join the army, and you're thinking to yourself, yeah, I need to reevaluate how I make my life choices. I should have listened to my parents. I can't imagine, do they prepare you mentally for the flight? Because you're there's no gunfire here in Gilbert, Arizona. There's no gunfire. Well, there might be some in Atlanta, but it's not, it's pretty much eminent death a lot of the time. And you're unsettled. I mean, I have friends that were there that lost their lives from, you know, those IEDs and driving down the road and everything was fine and then we're not talking to them anymore. The uncertainty must be what is it the uncertainty or is it fear or what is it that what's the biggest stress factor of being in that? You know, it's crazy and again, a lot of my peers, but I went to Afghanistan. A lot of my peers on my level were right out of college. ROTC programs out of college rights for their 22, some several years older, but I've already lived a life through law enforcement. When I deployed, I was 30. So it already lived a life very different than a lot of my peers, but very different than a lot of the soldiers that went with me. They've never deployed before. And it's funny as I spoke to all of them. None of us were afraid to go over there. None of us were trained for the one common trend that every one of those soldiers myself included were terrified of was coming home. We don't know what to do coming home. We don't know. We know what to do over there. We know what we have to do. We know our job ignore mission we were well trained and in a phenomenal train up with the army and got super prepped for what needed to be done over there. That's what they teach you to do. They don't teach you to do is to come home. And when I ended up leaving Afghanistan, we lost 6 guys. We lost a couple of green berets, we lost a couple of you guys. What they don't train you to do is how to decompress from it all. And by the time I left Afghanistan at the time I was back on my own sofa was only 5 days.

"It's got the perfect life. Every day's unicorns and rainbows. Well, his recent book that he just wrote, the legacy of love is a conversation about the integration of life and business after the uniform. With lessons coming back from him, being on the brink of suicide. Zack, my friend, welcome to life transformation radio. All right, rob, I appreciate you having my friend. Absolutely. So first of all, thank you for your service. Like, you know, I think that people don't really appreciate what it takes to be in the military. And the sacrifices that you make. And a lot of people say thank you for your service. Thank you for your service. I genuinely mean that my wife is a veteran of the first direct war and some of the stories that I've heard from her friends and her and other veterans is you think you're having a hard day today in the United States of America living your life and you know there's a couple extra people in line at Chick-fil-A compared to what people that are in combat experience. And then also not only that, but you were a law enforcement officer yeah, right before, actually, I did the backwards way. I was a cop first and then joined the military. So a little bit earlier. Oh, wow. Wow. Okay. So what was that like? Was that what was that like going from being in law enforcement to military? Because usually it's the other way around. People come in for military and they go into law enforcement. Was that an adjustment? It was. It's pretty interesting. I began law enforcement in 2009 and then left it toward the end of 2016. So it was a big adjustment. I was getting investigator, narcotics investigator here in Atlanta. I was on the S.W.A.T. team, doing some pretty high level stuff in the law enforcement world, and then left that to get yelled at by drill sergeant, those younger than me for a few months. So it was a huge shift going from Billy bad, but I don't know if we're allowed to cut. So I'm going to center myself on this one, but this is an E rated show. So E ticket ride. You can say whatever you want. It's all free transparent here. So yeah. Well, so it was a big shift for sure. That must have been pretty, that must have been challenging to be in the power, the power play that you were in and how you had the badge and for Halloween. I was, I was a tactical soldier, it was kind of funny, said glow over me, but I had a tactical vest and tactical pants and tactical shirt in the boots and the gloves. And just that, no badge, you feel, there's a certain feeling that you get, which I was like, oh wow, I can see why cops are the way they are because then add a badge. And then add a gun and then the power to be able to take someone off the street and take away their freedom, that's that's a lot. And I imagine taking a step further, you're giving the authority to take a life. And given all of that at the age of 21, which is when I started, so your early formative years as a young adult and all of a sudden you have all this power and authority and capability that you can't really conceptualize that young. So it's kind of crazy to think that that's when I started it all, but yeah, it was definitely an interesting journey attached to that. Compared to before that was a homeschool kid, I was homeschooled middle school in high school. So going from the living room schoolroom to the streets of Atlanta and learning a different segment of society is definitely a huge culture shock for me. That's amazing. I'm a 23 year old daughter, and I know some 21 year old ladies and gentlemen, and I'm like, I don't even know how you wake up and get through the day. Like, I just don't even know. And the fact that you were in law enforcement with those, what was that, what was that like? I mean, that must be, man, that must be really something to comprehend. Like, your training has to really kick in because that's a lot. To have to do it. You probably have to deal with people that are like 40 and 50 years old. Yeah. Yeah, and older, and people I grew up with because I was where I patrolled was essentially in the backyard where I grow up. So, you know, it was crazy to think that, yeah, 21 year old kid coming in and telling you how to live your life. So there's a lot of great learning opportunities and communication. How do you communicate with somebody, especially in a heated argument or heated situation in their own home? And beyond that, it was one of those is during a really tough time in the culture of law enforcement in America. So I actually grew up some of the guys I grew up playing T ball with turned around and they spit on me for being the white cop because the divide in society between police officers and everybody else. So I ended up being labeled as a white racist pig, that nobody likes a huge shift. That was my mid 20s, right? So thinking about how to become a young adult while people you grew up playing T ball with. Absolutely hated you just for the uniform you wore and not what was beneath it. It is a really fascinating looking back at it. It really fascinated to see how that culture kind of shifted and really how that molded a lot of the reasons why I got out of law enforcement moved into more of the military status stuff. Yeah, it's very challenging, you know, my friend John Jay Wiley has a podcast called law enforcement today radio. And he has a story. He was on his final. He was about ready to pretty much be done and he had arrested a guy who had stolen a car was amped out on drugs and they got into a actual life or death battle in that he was trying to arrest him, he attacked John. And grabbed his gun and they were in a fight for their life. He grabbed the gun, they were rolling around the ground. He took the gun and he pointed it right at his face and shot at John. He ended up not getting hit in the face, which is pretty miraculous, but it destroyed his wrist because he was fighting so hard to move the gun away from his face. And, you know, now he's a broadcaster, but the stories that he's told me are pretty remarkable. I have a friend from high school that was in S.W.A.T. and I was actually in my neighborhood in la Jolla, California. I'll never forget this. It was really powerful. It was a hostage situation. I saw my buddy romi right there and we were talking and he was very intense and he had his sharpshooter rifle and the guy, it was amazing. This guy was barricaded in a house with condos, and he was going through the walls of the people in the houses. And there was a hostage situation. He lit the place on fire. It happened really fast they had a clear shot and they took him out. But he was a very bad guy, very bad guy. And he did damage to some people that he was holding hostage. And I saw the officers after, I don't know which one took him out. Everybody was happy that we were all there, but so many people, and we overwhelmingly applauded. And then you realize that someone just took a life. And I could see

"Start using technology to really drive, engagement, and what that does, that turns into people coming back more often, which that does, it turns into more money in your bank account, which is always a good thing. Right? We were talking to us before the show started Zach was talking about, you know, he's, of course, he's a tech company and he does a lot of fundraising and they've basically just raised some money for the next round of innovations and new upgrades over at ovation. And he acted like it was so casual. It's like, what'd you do with it, Donald? I went out and I got a sandwich for lunch. What'd you do, Zack? Raised a couple of $1 million. Oh my God. Well, as a CEO of a tech company, especially one that's VC funded. Yeah. It's like part of my job is to raise money, right? So it's like, yes, I celebrate when sales rep closes a deal. That's also their job. Yeah, yeah, yeah. And so, you know, I look at raising money as part of my job. That's it. Just like a restaurant owner, your job is to make profits. That's it. As part of your job. That's right. And the best, that is the best tasting food, isn't it? EBITDA. Tastes so good. Awesome tastes so good. So anyway, restaurant success summit is October 24th, 25th, 26th. With us. Yeah, come down party. This is gonna be a great time. You can grab tickets at restaurants success some of dot com. It's just so you know, we keep this group really small because I like to have interaction with the speakers. So Zach's wandering around, you can grab them and pull them aside and say, hey man, you know, I love your stuff. I want to ask you some questions that might pertain to my brand and my restaurant. Zach's more happy. All the speakers I invite to speak or more than happy to sit down with you and give you some of their time, which is different than most conferences. Most have been in some of those huge conferences. I mean, you get up on stage. It's a big stage. You do your thing, and then you're off. You know, you're out. And then there's a line of 20 people that want to talk to you after three of them security comes and pushes you out into the hallway. And everyone gets like a minute of time and that's what I loved about your conference last year. So last year was the first time I went and super happy to come back again because it is such an intimate conference. It's a great place to get to know other restaurateurs here what they're doing and not in a very fluffy kind of way of what are you doing? It's like, oh, we're optimizing our menu. No, it's like we cut the chicken cutlets from our menu because of the operating costs and because we weren't getting the theoretical cost was just too far out there from what our actual costs. You get very theoretical costs. How did you measure your theoretical cost? Well, this is what we and I just love that and the other thing Donald, but I talk a lot about with people is your your Sessions you do on like menu.

"Zack Martin has tested positive, so he's in the code protocol should be the five day window was Zack Martin, assuming he's vaccinated he would have had to tested positive were the only way that he can get on the Covid list. That's the only one so far. Hopefully we on Keyshawn J. Willens on ESPN Radio in the ESPN APP. Also on ESPN, two J will sitting next to Jason fits. All of the drama around the Cowboys, and they haven't even stepped on the field. Yet. That's the delight of the Dallas Cowboys. As you just heard. Zack Martin tested positive for Covid 19. He'll be out for this game on Thursday, even though he's vaccinated because of the time frame. So to get the latest on all things cowboys we now head over to the Goodyear Hotline where we're joined by ESPN Cowboys reporter Todd Archer Todd Bank Thanks for the time. Happy Labor Day, my friend. We appreciate you joining us so Obviously we're sitting where we are with the Zack Martin situation. Makovich. So what's the latest there? Well, yeah, he's looking like he will miss this game. Just because of the time frame just a bad timing situation And from everything I've been able to gather, uh, he's okay. Mild symptoms. But once you have symptoms, you have to be symptom free and then have Two negative tests separated by 24 hours before you can return and plus, there's a day you need to pass like a conditioning aspect of this thing as well. So the timing of it is not great for the Dallas Cowboys and Economy. Government will be there starting right guard against a run defense that was best in the league last year down in Tampa Bay. So it it's there's so many questions about the Cowboys. Just add this one to the mix. You asking me tough for Connor, but he did play a lot of games last year as well. But what's the protocol? Now for Zack Martin. How does the NFL like? Can you take fans through what needs to happen from the time that he has tested positive to what needs to occur for him to get back on the field? Right. So Jay, there's differences between whether you're asymptomatic or symptomatic and any does have some symptoms and again. They're considered light or mild as they go so before a player A player has to be symptom free, uh, for X amount of time. And you see, the Lamb told us yesterday that he figured out something was wrong when he couldn't taste his toothpaste. Then then you figured out okay and back to good because I could taste the mint toothpaste as your question is chief for Zack Martin. Now he's in the process of waiting for the symptoms of some side and then you need to take two tests. I have two negative tests separated by 24 hours, and then you can come back. The Cowboys have had not. This is the ninth player that's been on the Covid list. Uh, since training camp. Let's call it all the players have tested positive. None have been able to come back quickly they needed of 10 days. Before they can come back and they they've all been vaccinated players as well. So that's why the situation for Zack Martin where Mike McCarthy says I would say he's not playing in this game. That led him down that path because everything body so far has had symptoms has needed the whole break before they were able to come back. Todd. How concerned are the folks internally for the Cowboys? Considering Doc has had injuries he's had to his ankle and his shoulder Ezekiel Elliott last year getting punished a little bit because that old line now not having Zack Martin, are they worried about this? The Covid aspect are just not having back just not having Zach on the field, not having Zach on the field. Yes. No, they're absolutely concerned because I mean, he's Z. Kelly called him their best player yesterday. Their best offensive player. You think about Omari Cooper, Zeke Elliott back Prescott CD Lamb and he's saying Zack Martin their best players, So that's a huge loss, he said. Most of their good runs come from behind Zack Martin last year. He was they moved in the right tackle. He excelled out there after injuries in it. And it's not just the the loss of Zack Martin for this week. Leo Collins. Is that a Stinger issue? That's kind of limited his practice here the last couple weeks, Carnell Williams just got off the covid list. The other day and is only now return to practice and and left tackle Tyron Smith. Well, he played two games last year for next surgery. Now he's saying he feels as good as he's ever felt. But again, you talked about continuity and what you want on your offensive line. The Cowboys going to this opener. Without really any continuity on their offensive line, Plus Stack, playing his first game in 340 days. It's not the optimum way that you'd want to enter a season opener for sure we're talking to ESPN Cowboys reported. Todd Archer, I think that the last point you made is significant, Todd. I mean, this is the first time we've seen deck we will have seen back in a very long time. So what sort of impact is all of this? Make to what we should expect to see from him? Well, clearly there has to be some worry right because we've talked about campus run defense and how good the linebackers are, and they have every starter back from last year's Super Bowl team. Um, but if you're worried about Dax health I don't think that would be the issue the shoulder you, you watch them in practice. He looks like that he's throwing. He's throwing the ball with Zip is pressing the ball down the field. You think about the ankle. He's moving around. He's running right. He's running left. He's able to do everything from the ankle. So If he doesn't play well. Thursday night. I don't think it would be health related. It will be what is surrounding him at the moment and maybe obviously some rust from not having played a game from from last October. You know, it's funny. The Cowboys started training camp, saying We want to get that Prescott preseason action. We don't want his first live work to be against Tampa Bay. Then you have the the shoulder setback. And then like, yeah, that's overrated. We really don't need that..

Those people would go on like the positive section and of course on the exact opposite end of the spectrum. The other people who detract from you. Who talk bad about you to your face behind your back. Whatever it is those going the negative multiply. Are the people who just say good things about you to other people you know they go out and they you know they tasty spread good words about you. Say oh zack. Is this zach zach as a means you have to listen to your to do the off the readers. Though the whole they pretty much. And they're gonna try to pretty much bring you down behind your back. Those on the divide column so in what you wanna do is after you get all those things together you wanna keep in your circle the people and the ad and the multiply column and then completely cut out to the best of your ability everybody in the minus and the divide column and this is something that i do probably like a month to month or so basis of every time i meet a lot of new people on mike are this person adding subtracting multiplying or dividing from me and then depending on which quadrant that they're in i treat them accordingly dude. "It's something now we know. And it's called flashpoint. Go and like i think the first one is he tried to go back and save his mom from dying but that changed everything for that was the tv show. But that's flashpoint him but they always do it like that whole data ran some last year. They ran a big line. I was it was reading everyone that new crisis and it was this the flash point like i think they did it with Bruce wayne like they had for a while. That alfred was really his father. And thomas wayne was still alive and everyone was super pissed. Like putting you can't batman if his dad and guide true and alfred with his mom and is really is dad and then flashpoint mila we. Robert pattinson is going to be batman. Friend i wonder if i like that one. So let's talk about this with bradley. Like what's cool is now. You can say oh. That's zack snyder's justice league. But look we have different batman over here. We have different joker over here. Oh we have harley quinn's moves over here we have these like. I do hope they keep to like that way. We can now we. Maybe we can have a happy justice. Not so dark and we like. Oh that's you know On lease justice league warner brothers immediately came out and said that they weren't continuing the snyder verse. Which honestly i think they should. They wanna embrace the multi-diverse all right snyder verses one earth over here and then you can have robert patents as batmans earth here like and then them all. Do you know what. Dc's timeline is now obviously. We're getting a new Suicide squad yes suicide squad to come into. that's doctor strange's martin marvelous. Sorry we're gonna come in to where we're supposed to get a flash. We're gonna new green liner Doug green lantern. I believe is greenland and core and i think it's going to matter and then they're animated stuff and their tv stuff there. Wbz stuff does really well. Yeah so. I'm excited to see what they have going. I always liked. I've always enjoyed dc i- suzanne to that. We are and black adam. Oh yeah with the rock. Ya-ya yeah forgot about that. He's been getting buff on his instagram for the rock for the black adam. Well now you heard our thoughts. If you like did let us know on the facebook and twitter's facebook it's still just go to. "Interested in the pick of who survive. Cf cyborg you have the aquaman female era you have slash. Who's like who wouldn't is because you have put come Last point to come back in time because that batman v superman. That's the suit he popped up in. And then you have joker slade yup and man in harley quinn which is cool like dat. She's dead harlequin wasn't a no she was dead does he said because he. Because that's how bad got him was. He said something about harvey e says something about the boy wonder. And then because joker does kill robin. And i think there was a comment about harley. Yeah and that because he said something about harley that that's so much like the video game injustice in the video game lowest. The joker killed lois. Lane and batman or superman came in killed the joker. And that's what like and they became this in when he's dead. He became this totalitarian like evil. God but. I don't think that's the story that zack snyder's telling him what i've heard bruce wayne and his story. Bruce wayne got lois lane. Prego and notice. Ma'am freaking losses. Notice that the end of the movie when they're moving back to marquess. She's supposedly carrying a basket. That looks like a little. And you hear bruce. Say congratulations as to. So when they do then. I i'm assuming but it doesn't make sense because in this one. They really show her morning more than in the other one because in eighties. Maybe it was like a. I don't want to ban on there but or like a like a grieving sex or something but it was a drunken night that they yeah. You know thinking about superman. Superman one thing leads to another by in and in also an injustice jerry really liked was Superman wonder woman and one other person like all decided to be the lords of the were okay. We haven't really talked about the cyborg finally getting into down movie which was valve in heart of the whole film man even his his dad getting more than he got in the other. One we are which I don't know if you know that's the dude who immunity to not let that guy around sort of cyborg robots but that did such a good actor too man. I know and i feel like joss weeden just like they made him weird but they gave him a real part him. Real part and I saw on twitter the the lady that he gives the money to in the movie she posted on twitter. Like i haven't seen it yet. And i make it into the movie because her whole story out and he liked to back. How'd you get away. He decided to do that with like the standing in the desert like looking. I thought that was an interesting choice of how to jump into the into the box. Or no no when he just would like when he was like imagining. Yeah though i heard another podcast. So i can't take credit for say and i thought it was good like he can do all these things he doesn't just immediately like level out everyone's wealth and everyone money like why not like he whatever he wanted to they were like. Why would you give. Why don't you ease them into don't tell a teenager. He has to all the nuclear codes because teenagers get pissed off sometimes not only being able to get all the story leading characters breath and getting their stories but they didn't rush to. Oh we got a broom of may now halfway into the movie. Yeah and it wasn't like a a light decision liquid is like you know we're all thinking but i'm not gonna say it and they you know cyborg has him so and when he comes back they like cut that up you know when he's walking through the ship. Yeah in the voice of russell russell costner talking about these people and the planet earth and everything else. I'm like you. Why did you cut this out of the movie. Like i got chills. When that's half what do you think about all the hate. That draws wade's thinking about this movie like and how much he cut out of it seeing it now. I think it's deserved. Why did you do that. I don't think it's all of his. I don't think it's all his fault. I think the studio stepped in as well saying okay. You get two hours. Here's what snyder shot. And then put some humor to lighten it up a little bit. This is a little dark. I mean does point. He was like okay. He has stripped it down and said here's the basic story like basic story of the boxes and then we'll k. We'll just kind of that And then it didn't work but like other. I was telling talking to great now it. Could you know if you were big. Conspiracy theorist you could say that zack. Snyder's four hour movie was never gonna get seen. But what if we made a really crappy movie and that really crappy was so bad later on could make more money on the same film that we already have footage of later Because i don't like. I was trying to think if i just saw in the theater. I mean we've been four hours. Would i have liked it without if the knowing how bad the original one was the original one being bad. Make this one la better. I was thinking that same thing. Like did i enjoy this more because what we've seen before going. Oh my god that's crap now compared to this or if this would have been the only version we saw would we would we both given it five stars. I i probably would've but that's me Did you see the martian manhunter. Yes yes yes. I gotta help me. Some man's green green lantern ring barely. Snyder wanted the green lantern he did pop in at the end to talk to you one or two man. He wanted john. Stewart screen lantern day at the end instead of martian manhunter. But warner brothers said no yes. They have plans for greener and so unfortunately now. Did you like how. Marshall manner hunter came in basically being you know. I thought it was cool. Aren't the at these been slinging around the earth along. How can we help you help it. Yeah exactly you're not gonna help anything. Do you're like superpower. that's a character. I've always thought was way overpowered. He's like super strong. He could walk through walls. He can shape change. He's basically and read your mind and tell tell lp till tell 'til 'til telepathy and that was like but like he's not as strong as superman or one of them they always like take them down a notch. Yeah he's the guy that's supposed to just stay in the base and communicate everyone four. We wrap up talking to this. I we all it. The the last thing. I want to talk about that. I loved was how the final fight. How they actually came together. As a team worked together to steppenwolf i thought flashes with so good the the setting-up flashpoint now where he basically they lost. Yeah the boxes. United and the way that it happened where he had to run really fast then everybody gets put back together. Yeah just to see can bring back time. Yeah so that's every dc whenever they have a storyline running that sex every now and then. There's getting one sucks they'll be and then suddenly grabble. You're reading it sucks. Jalousie flash popout. I mess up time again..

"Horns because i kept thinking like to grow the horn man. He was younger back four. He like got fati. The word i keep hearing for this film is complete is definitely in. It was one whole story now. It does the exact snyder four hours to tell his story. But the before before. We got this like we didn't get a flash movie cyborg origins or aqua. We'd have oklahoma move either. No we didn't have aqua yet in this gave you like flesh those characters out. Except for uncle man aquaman. I think you were texting us saying that. They made him more of like the sex symbol in this then the the other one was sniffing his shirt and stuff and he's like you it takes off. I'm like this shoes like i was like. You're not taking his shoes off fan. You're sitting there in the water with squishy socks and shoes like deal but he keeps jeans and shoot like boots on. I might seem swim. And he's barefoot. He just has jeans. I'm like snow. Take the shirt off. The those does he always have like clothes stashed somewhere so when he pops out like. Here's my iceland. Girls girls singing the song. She leaves a little box for him. Here's your box of clothes. I washed them my hand on the river. No but for them to bed so the only thing. I thought that it didn't make sense. In the whole film everything was explained. Perfectly was the what step in with found when when dark side jumped down the. It's it's a. It's a combat the anti the anti life Quesions i life. Andy live equation. Which i know they would have gotten into but it was like they said that twice and i know what that is from comic books mostly. I do think it is kind of funny that you know. He's he was on earth before with the boxes in fighting with these symbols on the ground. And the gods the everyone beat in and he laughed in did he. just forget. Like whatever happened to zeus aries man. I actually was googling. Who are those people. And i was like where is. Where did they leave that. Anti life equation. I don't remember where it is also really in equation when he bangs his math rolls out the the equation apocalypse mathematician man. Who's like i put together an anti lively. But but zeus in aries. I mean zeus is. Yeah wonder woman's dad dad. And then aries is who she fight in the movie and zeus is also a part of worship. Zam gets his the arrow. She's there were three gods right. Yes but she's someone that we'd never heard of before i mean i'm sure percy jackson talked about her. I'm sure she no. It wasn't areas. It wasn't not aries what's her name. Juno now the growth blue eyes her mom the god of goddess of wisdom. Oh up a fina. Athena's those yes you don't. We didn't do that. We usually do before we start. How stars our stars were spoiler airy. Ring it we're spoiling it. We get into bruins. Z's starts to give it actually for free solid. I think it's high praise. I two five. It was my second five-year also my second five of the year. I loved it i like. I've watched it three times now. I brought it out on this. Where i'm going to go like colorado space. It twelve hours of not only did it once in one sitting. everything else is. I just started the boys on. Just keep washing pieces of it. And i've gone back and watch the flash seen because i love. Why would you take that out when he sees iris. There's another african american out of the film like but because she's showing up in the flash movie as irs like. Why would you cut her out. Like why would you get that. Scene was so good. And cyborg like cyborgs. Like huge part of the movie and he he just we weeden for the flesh. Said you know what. I'm taking out this scene. That's already been cutting made and i'm gonna add this prison where he draws a mustache on a ball. I'm gonna make him even value adding and then he made him like scared. Like oh eight. I i just push people away. He s he was awesome in this. The flashy wasn't like cowardly. No he was getting the he reminded me of reminded. Me of The one x men guy who's actually over the way that the the animated you know the way that i think joss weeden was trying to model him after because he will really like yours. Yeah oh okay. I think i felt very much tax because they trail that was trying to how they took out the became afraid. They took out the stupid joke where he lands on wonder woman's chest. Yeah and like gets face on her chest. Yeah sexualizing yeah. That's yeah sweden doesn't and i mean the amazonean bad bad ass in this. Every scene was so much better. The amazon is. I was watching this. I remember liking this seen as much as she comes in like. Show him your fear and then we have no fear like sorry. You can't add four seconds. But when they fought steppenwolf they did it in a much more instead of like a one on one so to all group on him in a holy do right like it was cool man. It was a cool cool seeing. And then you get. And i think you get this a little bit the first one. But you're just not paying attention at seen as much but like oh. The amazonian would have overpowered him once they got to him and he got out quick. Enough like yeah. Unlike the atlantans day they were not overpowering. And this was what i was curious about. I remember we kept making fun of them speaking underwater. So yes zack matters. Was that in this or was that in. This is where you see the difference. Zack snyder's thing was they. Were going to create the air bubble. Where talk but when they made the aquaman movie they just said no okay.

joss weeden amazon three times percy jackson twelve hours zack four hours twice first one four one whole story three gods second five-year Juno amazonian second five Zack snyder four seconds once Athena

Jesus oh jim caviezel sell hot. I remember i watched it. I was like the guy who plays he. also zirk season. The three hundred movies really man. That's a transitional role he's got a god complex just a little bit. Maybe i would only play. Dat's middle eastern deities. Just like he honorees buddha almost close to forget that happened. You know another one that sucked the lion king. Hate that you know you're crazy. This is i will die on this hill. Your is then. It's awful thought. It was the exact same thing. It was the exact same thing with zero emotion. I get there's less emotion. But i think you might have more tie into this film than ideas. I asked kinkel. No no. you're crazy personnel. I'm not the only one that thinks this. Okay i'm gonna put a poll twitter. Okay we're gonna get four responses. That's okay are they really asking create accounts. Then i will win. I really liked. That better likes dumbo. I tired of the ones where it's the same thing. So what do you do the same thing. Look i like to latin because it was different. I didn't like the new aladdin. "There's like a wonderful character arc with a lot of people who like. Yeah maybe we should give them like. Yeah you asshole ramos anyways. I i so as corey mentioned There was something on thursday morning that we had to kind of prep. For and be it was important and so responsibly. Watch the movie when it first drops at midnight on the day on. Hbo max. I had watched the red carpet premiere on with kevin smith and exciter which was really fun and you got to see like like members at large at the phantom participate and fischer is. If you want to hype anything. Get kevin smith in your corner because the dude knows how to hype something and then also. He's contagious the exciting and then also shouted to cora who she I on on one of my films and she edited virtual premier so it was pretty And yeah so watch the i will premiere and then I was like okay. I have to be up by like nine o'clock. So i can do this thing shave and like all good and i was like do i do i. Do i do to myself where i know. I can't then. I was like yes. Of course i do this to myself. I hate myself. And i turn on the movie. And they'll say. I'll do thirty minutes and then after that i was like after. I can't stop here. I kind of do the next thirty minutes and another thirty minutes and then two and a half hours go by is three o'clock. I'm like five hours. And then i just go away and go to bed and i finished the film after the meeting and it was i i love it. I was like i can't talk about it i have to just wait for people to like dist- i'm not. I'm not going to be a jerk. That's gonna post spoilers on the internet. And then after that i had the same screener or or or a live. Watch party with zack snyder. Josh did and i started again so i was like. Let me make food for an hour and then let me jump back in and I watched it again. And then i've watched it. I think almost almost once a day at this point. Because it's at this point where like i'm petitioning and fighting that we do get more of it so that play count baby and i'd be lying if i didn't have it playing right next to me right now If something that like yeah of course it say like this. It's like it's four hours but for me watching. It doesn't feel like it. You will see the clock. Turn but like tom. Now you feel like every lord of the rings fan as young as well i mean. I felt the same way with the rings to know when it's a good story. It shouldn't be fettered by arun. I'm just saying i'm just saying well. The the yeah. The fall is just like theaters and exhibitions being like well. We can't have a movie theater..

"Step. That makes all right. Bruce are kind of lead as he's navigating this phil. I loved batman even more in this movie. Because this was batman. Like this was bruce. Coming back to humanity. We got more bruce and alfred. We got bruce as optimus even as he's got a great arc through bbs into justly the two movies we we see him at the beginning. We get that you know the scene where he meets. Arthur and i love that you know. Very very bruce wayne like he shows he can speak icelandic. Also like you know. He's just kind of playing dumb as they're talking in their language he's like as he doesn't know what they're saying. I loved it him then he pulls out twenty five thousand dollars and give it to the village. I mean i love that. Arthur takes and then hands it to the kids to give to the village. Did he take it. I thought bruce held it out and then when he lowered him down to the ground the kid just ran by him. Took it that i just looked at. I thought arthur had his head of the kid took it but You know we see bruce on the helicopter with alfred talking about how they found him We'll see what happens. You know The idea that bruce's trying like he's trying to find these people. He's trying to bring a team together. He knows that something's coming. Because alfred evans says it's been a little bit of time. You know since. Luther is warning. Nothing's happened you know. And well he. You know bruce's become. He's one from a waas man with no faith in people you know no hope for humanity. No hope that people can change. That's me became cruel like alfred. Senate bass something that line. Sound upside summed. Up the whole batman arc. There you know that magara superman Now bruce's amana faith You know he. He's having faith and people his he's believing that people can get better that You know he's realizing this the things that he has to do now you know. He has to put his team together. They're bigger things than gotham. And you know. I i was. I watched the snyder cut a few a few times now. going back and forth this evening if you go back to the very beginning of the snyder when superman dies they they show batman there and maybe i'm just crazy. Maybe it's wishful thinking but you. They do the close up of batman space. And you almost see him like cairo. Almost looks teary-eyed like like one superman dies if they go back to like really very very beginning But you see this whole change in the man. And that's why or is just awesome. And i just love athletes batman so much. I like athletes batman so much. Jeremy irons as alfred. I mean possibly even more than the athletes batman You know you have you have him asking.

"Destroy free will in complete control over busy mind body soul of all living things so i watched mostly the steppenwolf kind of scene today when i got home and the dark side talk and and basically genius ray like they don't hit on the equation. Completely mostly what they say is that is it will remove free will and it will allow dark side to fully take over earth as he planned all these years ago and like nothing could stop them. It would eliminate free will and it'll make everybody about him. That's kind of like what they really get. Why and that idea. That's that's where sacking them drew inspiration for that final crisis when dark site has the earth and he has and he has the Anti life equation. So we're kind of moving around. I think maybe we can talk characters. Better then beat by. I really liked the way. Steppenwolf voice sounded miss. Much more like the way you talk it was i like the he looked bigger. And if there's anything negative to say about this first step and we'll kind of wish that maybe he had a little bit more color instead of being just like solid silver in his armor. One shade of silver armor reflected light. It was a little colorful. There was some purples in there and stuff. But i mean in comparison to what we had before i mean. Can we really complain exactly exactly my goodness. It's like night and day at the same time. It's it's scarier and more menacing and also there's something to feel. Even just an inkling of sorrow for him being banished from his home trying to get back there absolutely. There is one thing that solomon said that kind of stuck with me tight tell him he said steppenwolf armor it moves. It keeps moving just like the mother box keeps moving. I thought that was so cool. I six year old to notice. I'm like sweet. Yeah yeah you know. You're talking about the mother. Box in the unity. I mean it's it's interesting how they discussed that. The technology for the apocalyptic technology and the crip. Tony technology is similar. But it has different properties Because from different worlds. And how crypto they have the world engine require these two ships in the tara. Form planets over time. And then the apocalyptic technology i mean that's even more powerful the the unity syncs up and and and the entire planet is gone. I mean if you think about the kerr. Tony and technology. It's a little bit more. Mechanical and the apocalypse in technology is more What did they say that. It was wonder woman. She's asset is so advanced that it seems like magic. Yes like sorcery like sorcery. 'cause they called the people who like wielded they call the mystics and it looks like is decide is maybe one of the last mystics around. Which is they're they're scientists. Right you know staying with kind of were in like the history lesson parkside. Some more points to kind of point out was like I like it the way to get into the temp that we learned this way. That where they shoot. The arrow is in the temple of the amazon's which is what calls to diana and that it's the arrow of artists and that era was actually the key that let's dive into the chamber where she learns the history lesson and now the one part..

"But he's been banished and conquering worlds in dark sides name and he comes across earth and the mother boxes and finally reveals the anti life equation. Again now genia. I know we've talked about this before. Alan and just bring this up because i don't know if you remember the the part that was exciting about when steppenwolf admits the multi-diverse is dark side and polyps exists outside the multi verse so there might be fifty to earth that all have superman. There's only one dark side so there's never like oh the dark side of earth blah blah blah blah. There's only one. So just your dating dollars. The multi-diverse severson the multi versus bidding knowledge other than win berry berry crisis. It was kind of exciting because it just even means even more like how powerful like this earth is and what that means to stop dark side. Yeah can i ask a question. Because i can't remember the skies and the film. Did they ever explain what the anti life equation was no. I don't think so equation. It's like the idea of destroying free though. I'm just saying like as somebody who's viewing it. Who might not understand. What the anti kate yes. I've seen hours. They had said some dark side. We'll speak about. I will rule with anti life and all about to me and it becomes a really a big focal point for steppenwolf. And that's the whole reason. My dark side really wants to come to earth anyway. So it's it's. It's one of those things i wish would have been addressed a little bit more. If if i have anything to complain about. I think i think the only the only addressing to the anti life equation and how bad it is is in the history lesson. I i think because they talk about the. Don't talk about the anti life equation but like it's the way it's weird because it talks about like there wasn't that scene of the pera demon of like a managing turn to a pair demon. They just say that. The world's unity take over or void of life and become his servants becomes pair demons. So i think it kind of gets a little. It gets a little monkey in there. You know about exactly where the anti life equation comes from. If like james was saying was that the only set of mother boxes they have they lost the anti life equations basically supposed to be like the.

"Today. We're discussing zack. Snyder's justice league premiering on hbo. Max i just want to throw this out there. This will be a spoiler field episode but also out there that i do know that this film was radar. I do think that they could have worked around the language and the violence a little bit. I also as a respectable parent screened the film Search information to find out what content was in the film with that said. My children did see it. My son has been a very huge advocate wanting to watch this since the first trailer dropped and then of course my daughter does well. The violence was quicken up in a lot of the scenes that they didn't notice and it was very video gaming at the same time so that there wasn't anything too harsh for them and as far as the language i'm not a huge fan of but they do have a very loose tongue ain't whom they love who is around a lot whom they hear such words from home with that being said. I just wanted to put that out there before getting had criticism for allowing my young children to see this because i do think that these characters are appeal to children. And it's something. That should be considered. I do you understand artistic integrity and i do understand a vision and i get all that and i just wanted to put that out there. So enjoy the discussion in here with their quick thoughts are my loving children. Who are excited to talk to you. Patrick.

"But what i love so much about it is the action scenes are insane in this movie and i really think it's snyder. Just firing on all cylinders. Doing what zack snyder does. Best in action. But even kicking it up a notch from there and i. I'm kind of you know me. I'm not super big on just like a straightforward one action. That's over the top and nuts. And that's why. I love aquaman so much. And that's why i love the action sequences in this so much. Okay i kinda so what you were saying. That i threw me off because okay i get i get i get where you're going though with the with the action especially You're probably talking specifically with alkyl man. One there is the big fight between him and his brother and then also the the scene were they They get attacked in the trench. Or whatever all of the the months you're swarmed the boat. No yeah definitely with this movie. The the action scenes are. They're amazing. they're you know. They're they're crazy absolutely fantastic. Yes they are if you if you hate zack. Snyder slow motion. Which i know a lot of people do then maybe this one expands that enough though that they can actually see where that slow motion fits and maybe people can still appreciate it. I don't know but yeah there's definitely because you basically get the same action sequences from justice league. The only one that is almost the same would be when superman is fighting the justice league that one still expanded a little bit more but the one where they take on stephon wolf for the first time. Yeah that that scene is it's expanded so much and it's just you know it is that crazy great and then also that final battle as well with a course decapitation which finally we get. Zack snyder back to decapitating. Somebody and that was one of the first Art of like reveals. That did long ago and we were we. After the justice league movie came out. Everybody was like wait. Where where was one woman decapitating. Stephan wolf that. Yeah no i get. I get now i guess your love of aquaman because i always thought it was just the the corny and hamnes of it which i cannot stand the direction of it is very i feel corny but again a lot of that is that that personality of woman because there are some of that still in this version of justice league like when he does the little surf on top of the payer demon the when he gets to the bottom. There's this little hair twirl or here flip and it's character just is you know it's it's just crazy some of these accent action sequences and that actually is one quick aside before we get to your next puzzle piece. Something during this whole snyder. Cut thing watching this movie and seeing so many more action beats really kind of confused me a little bit. I'll have to actually sit down and watch some of those. Like i know there's like an hbo. Max documentary short documentary or something. and i. i'm curious as to how much of this was shy..
