"So DirecTV if you have DirecTV cancel it There are other satellite services and there's other Internet services and of course there's other cable services But drop them DirecTV carried a number left leaning networks including vice Vice Made T and T is considering dropping newsmax This is why when we look for sponsors on this program I always look for entrepreneurs and startups and others Who chip away at these behemoths Who chip away at them So newsmax points out and I'm on Fox but I don't care I want newsmax to thrive I want to thrive I want them to thrive Anyone including our customers can watch the network for free via newsmax TV dot com YouTube dot com and on multiple streaming platforms like Amazon fire TV Roku and Google Play But as Chris ruddy says CEO of newsmax media is a blatant act of political discrimination and censorship against newsmax and he's a 100% right The most extreme liberal channels even with tiny ratings get fees from AT&T direct TV But newsmax and OAN needed to be deplatformed In the platform that's sort of a passive word isn't it Censored is a better word Really quite incredible And disgusting And more evidence Of the growing tyranny in this country in my view Well

"Pay a fine for doing it. This is a witch hunt Part of Killing the Witches, in the beginning of the book, I tell you what the horrible situation was in Salem in 1692, and people are not going to believe how bad this was, 20 human beings executed for nothing. But we have a, as you know, and you talk about on the air a lot, a contemporary witch hunt. And I'm not Trump's lawyer. That's not what I'm cut out to do here. But in this case, there is no victim. Donald Trump borrowed money from banks off his real estate holdings. He told the bank how much he believed the holdings were worth. The bank took that and lent him the money, which Trump paid back in full. There was never a complaint lodged against Donald Trump in New York for his real estate activities. Not one. Yet, the attorney general, a Trump hater, what is this to get him? That's a witch hunt, and it's not only happening to President Trump, it's happening to you. It's happening to me Every day we have to deal with the people trying to take us off the map, trying to destroy our lives and families, and there doesn't seem to be any mechanism in America to stop it. So killing the witches, you have to understand the hysteria back in 2002, but it's the same hysteria today. It's just in politics, not in religion. And another more recent example, Bill O 'Reilly, is what CNN tried to do to you the other day. Remind the American people what that was. So on Friday, after Rupert Murdoch resigned his chairmanship of Fox News, CNN went on the air with a montage of sound from Fox the News channel. The goal was to portray the entire operation as racist in the montage that CNN broadcast in primetime was me, your humble correspondent, for eight seconds, saying that slaves were well fed and had decent housing. That's it. That was the entire statement they used from me from 2016. You know what that was taken from? My defense of Michelle Obama, who gave a speech saying that slaves largely built the White House, which is true. historically And I told my audience on the factor that what Mrs. Obama said is accurate and that the slaves that built the White House were well fed and housed because they had to work so hard. So CNN took eight seconds to try to demonize me as a racist, telling their audience I was justifying slavery. So my attorneys have written them a letter, a demand letter for an apology. We heard back from their attorneys. But this is not usual. That's not unusual because they get away with it time after time. And that's why this book is so important because you lay out the history. And really it connects to modern days. You're exactly right. Look at what they've done to the parents. Look at what they're doing to Catholics. Look at what, and then they deny it. They do it and deny it. And you know, Bill O 'Reilly, you don't have to be a lawyer for Trump. When you look at this, they have brought every conceivable action there's no action against this man at every level of government. Am I supposed to believe that's just a coincidence? do What you do you think? No, of course not. They know they being the progressive left. stuff All this comes out of the progressive left, right? The real militant arm of the Democratic Party. They hate Trump. They want to destroy Trump because they fear Trump. Trump is an avenger. If he wins reelection, win because Americans now say we've got to get rid of this progressive stuff and only the guy that's going to do it is Trump. So this is turned away from policy into personal because it's so dangerous what is going on? The media enables of this. So if the media were fair and saying, hold it, there's hysteria in the klanso culture, you're ruining people's lives on accusations, which they are, okay, then you got to stop it. We're a country with due process. in So Salem, Massachusetts, there was no due process. Young girls, 10, 11, 12 could point at an adult and say, that person came to me with Satan and tried to make me a witch and two weeks later to be a rope around the adult's I mean, that's what we, you know, people don't know this. It's funny because Salem, Massachusetts has made millions of millions of dollars billing itself as witch go city. up there, it's 25 If you miles north of Boston. All right, you big sign welcome to Salem, witch city and they're the you know, they have a pedestrian mall with witch shops and witches reading your palm or whatever witches do. Now it's harmless, but they're making the money off the backs of these 20 people who are executed in the most hysterical fashion. And here's the kicker that correlates right to today. If you stood up in Salem in 1692 and said this is bull as a lot of people knew it was, they'd accuse you of being a witch. You'd have a rope around your neck. And if you go against the progressive media today, the New York Times and Washington Post like I did, they're going to get you. Same thing. Bill, I want to hold you over the break. My big is this. 50, 100, 150, 200 years from now, what will they be saying about this period in American history relative to these witch hunts? The book Killing is the Witches, The Horror of Salem, Massachusetts. Fantastic book. Get it at amazon com, any wholesale, wholesale, any bookstore. I'll be right back. "Hey danny thanks so much for coming on the show. Thanks for having me. I'm so excited to be here. And i'm a big fan of the podcast. I've been listening to for a couple years now so very excited to be here. Oh well thank you so much. Of course. I gave you a longer introduction before were chatting but could you just tell us a bit about your story and what was happening in your life before. He started learning to code absolutely. I was the reason why i got into. Tech was because of a rapper. This robber invested several million dollars into a tech company. And this kind of blew my mind because at this point of my life i was thirty years old working in a gas station frying chicken and i found myself at a foregone in a road at this point and i said if i go right i'm gonna be in this gas station until the day i die or if i go left to make a change and i don't know what it is just got to do something different. This time that i saw this interview. And he's being asked and he's like why did you spend several million dollars into a tech company and he said i'm learning how to cope now. This blew my mind. Because i never knew someone from my kind of background could ever learn how to cook. My perception at the time was coating was for the in the scientists of the world never for an average individual so he's learning how to code and i'm like why is he learning. Obviously he's not learning how to code because he wants to become a developer and the reasoning was not that he's going to become a developer. And give this million dollar rocker right but it was. Why wouldn't you wanna know how the thing that you touch. Ninety percent out of your day how it operates like why is the extent of our knowledge when it comes to a computer opening a browser opening up youtube dot com and watch some kathy heels and so he starts learning how to code and sorta why and i said i wanna know more like. Why does my laptop cost two thousand dollars. Why does my smartphone cost fifteen hundred bucks. And i started how to and it was never with the idea of. I'm going to become a developer. That came way down the road. It was more long idea of. I'm gonna make a website and it's going to be the best website in the world and it's going to have all the stuff in everyone's gonna want to check it out. So that's another really good place to go and Read some important pieces that explain aspects of Bitcoin and kind of helped people along talk about different aspects of the technology and economics and just kind of where this fits in your world view and where it ought to fit. Well, I appreciate you coming on the shit end joining us, Cory. I really do and explaining to our audience Swan in Bitcoin because that's the thing we need to get out there right now is We don't want everyone missing the wagon and going. I wish I'd gotten when it was under $10,000 like they say Now about $100 hundreds gone, You still get a chance to get it while it's under 10,000? That there is an imminent calling you by under any big corn you buy under $100,000 for Bitcoin is chief. Yeah, that's hopefully what we say someday that's I'm a believer, that's for sure. That's my story. Thank you. Okay, so I hope you understand a little bit more about dollar cost averaging, which was our first question. And speaking of questions, Travis, We got another questionable quick. It's going to get a couple minutes in this segment. We might be the squeezing a question. Yes, we got another question from Steven in Texas. We have Why are there more than one kind of Bitcoin? Okay, That's a good question. I'm assuming you're asking why their Bitcoin wiser, maybe Big Queen gold. Or why is their Bitcoin SV or Bitcoin Diamond or Big Queen Cash? Bitcoin. The code for Bitcoin is open source. Anyone can copy the code and make their own coin. I mean, literally anyone could do it. That doesn't mean they're worth their worth holding. That is. I mean, they're worth spending your money on. Bitcoin core a regular Bitcoin. This Bitcoin is the one that's decentralized. There's no boss that Bitcoin. There's no one there to say. Here's what we're gonna do. We're gonna change it. We're gonna make something different. It's your money. They can't take it from you. While the other ones are copies of Bitcoin. They're not Bitcoin. So I hope that answers your question a little bit as to why there's more than one Bitcoin. As they keep copying Bitcoin trying to make copies off of them. So that that's the answer to that. Yeah, when also make sure if we're going further, you know about another show that I do. Call four minute Bitcoin. Four minute Bitcoin I bring you one news article every day about Bitcoin. And four minutes or less. That's what's called for minute crypto. I think we're on episode 593 or something today, So we've been doing it for a while. So make sure you check out 54 minutes even messed up for a minute. Bitcoin that calm now next week's guest. I don't know, but I want to make sure going any further tell all your friends about the Bitcoin for boomer show. Everyone needs to learn this. I'm a real big believer in that. So I don't want you guys missing out and send your questions into.

Good day internet at patriotair dot com slash dpd s. Let's start with a few things you should know. Amazon has discontinued its prime pantry. Grocery and household item service products previously available in pantry will now be available like any other products on amazon. So it's not going away to gather but the service itself prime pantry launched in twenty fourteen offering reduced shipping on up to forty five pounds of household goods for a monthly fee. Amazon node vied prime pant pantry subscribers about the closure in december and then issued refunds the. Uk's competition and markets authority launched an investigation into google's privacy sandbox. That would block third party. Cookies in chrome regulator received complaints from the marketers for an open web coalition saying the plan would abuse google's dominant position in online advertising. So the investigations going to evaluate. If the privacy sandbox changes would concentrate advertising spending market share with google samsung launched the galaxy chromebook to a cheaper version of the galaxy chromebook at launched last year so instead of four k it has a ten eighty p lcd screen with less storage fewer cameras less ram. It's also heavier and thicker overall but it also now starts at five hundred forty nine dollars instead of one thousand dollars. That has a thirteen point. Three inch nineteen twenty by ten eight hundred sixteen nine. Lcd touchscreen with the dual core intel seller on five twenty five you upgradable to an intel core. I three ten ten eleven ten one. one zero. You eight gigs. Ram and one hundred twenty five gigs of storage for six hundred ninety nine dollars a shortage of semiconductors affecting automakers. Volkswagen said last month that they needed to adjust first-quarter manufacturing plans around the globe because of the shortage. Now honda says it will cut domestic output by about four thousand cars this month at one of its factories in japan nissan is adjusting production numbers for its note hatchback model and ford has moved up previously planned downtime at a kentucky plant for its sport utility vehicle factory to the jin chips all right. Well we're talking about cars. Let's talk about the the apple car. Yeah a lot of rumors as of late will really over the last few years. But but but the rumors had resurfaced recently and hyundais. Now talking to apple about kerr's so says the company hyundai representative told cnbc quotes. We understand that apple isn't discussion with a variety of global automakers including hyundai motor as the discussion is at its early stage. Nothing has been decided. Korean economic daily said that apple suggested the arrangements and hundred was reviewing the terms that involved e production and also battery development hyundai has had his own battery platform called e. g. m. p. going into production later this year. So might be saying what you're doing. Reuters sources say that apple would like to produce a passenger vehicle by twenty twenty four however might not be that date bloomberg's mark gurman reports in thomas e. v. from apple is five to seven years away and michio recently said he wouldn't be surprised if it takes until twenty twenty eight. Yes what's probably going on. Here is apple and i think this significant part has decided to start investigating how they would build. Whatever it is. They're going to build whether it's a whole car or an integrated platform and they're going to different manufacturers and parts suppliers and folks like magna including hyundai. And saying what are you got. How can you help us with this. And is a great company for this because they make parts they make systems. They make full cars. There's all kinds of services in the conday company that could play a part with apple so it may not be. That apple knows what they want from hyundai. It may just be that they're going and saying hey let's talk. You do a lot of the kinds of things that we think we're going to need. I'm pretty excited about this. I just got my first hyundai ever this year and my perception of this story was weight but hyundai currently uses android auto and a lot of their their cars. So i would love to see. How apple would integrate Hyundai's current technologies into something that is very useful for that apple ecosystem not just looking at e itself but also the The the systems inside of it the controls in how they would manage that four a driver and a passenger in the car. Yeah i mean. I think that's one of the big questions that i have is okay. Let's say let's say it's hyundai that that applet ended up working with with clearly not set in stone at least from what we know at this point. But let's say it's the companies for kicks. Let's imagine that that's what it is. Yeah it is. It is an apple car that hyundai produces a lot of parts for the way that works with lots of other companies to produce other hardware for apple. I mean that that's the loftiest kind of goal that we're looking at and maybe that would take till twenty twenty eight at you know if if apple was lucky. I think it probably has more to do with like you said shannon not that you know android auto wouldn't still be prevalent in a lot of passenger vehicles but maybe at some sort of it's a special relationship. It's it's a special kind of os inside a car that is supposed to you. Know i don't know move some merch because What apple is providing on the software side is is. Is that much more interesting. I really don't know if you look at that. Bloomberg article mark gurman sources are saying that Tesla people that apple has hired are working on things like interior exterior. Drive train stereo. Desist the kinds of things. You need when you're building a car not carting a software platform so then the question becomes is it the apple car period. Maybe hendaye makes it. Maybe somebody else makes it. And you know they'll figure out how to distribute it or is it the apple car by sunday and you go to hyundai dealership to buy it the way you went to an. At and t. store to an apple iphone but it's really apples car in cooperation with sunday. Are there multiple partners. I mean that's all the kind of stuff we're waiting to see but it really does feel like we have gotten to the point where this is no longer just yeah. They're working on project titan. They don't know what they're gonna do to. They have an idea. It's more than just software and they're working out the details. Maybe they don't even know that yet. Well i'm interested to see what happens but we also have some other news. Security among the systems impacted by the solar winds attack is the electron filing system. Used by the us federal courts at investigation is underway to determine if confidentiality of documents filed with the courts was breached and as a result starting wednesday confidential documents filed with the courts will be stored on standalone systems. Not uploaded big difference so these are documents sealed from public access because they contain sensitive information like investigative techniques identities of informants and a lot more other. Us federal agencies affected included the justice department the state treasury and energy departments as well solar winds has engaged. The krebs stay most security consulting group to help deal with this attack. That firm was formed by alex. Stamos the former chief security officer at yahoo and facebook and chris krebs the former director of the us cybersecurity and infrastructure security agency or sisa. So krebs was fired last month. By the president after finding no evidence of with voting systems in the twenty twenty election. Yeah stamos first of all brilliant for those two to team up and smart for solar winds to engage them for what they say is Helping with transparency with companies that are affected But this we we are not done finding out how bad this is. There are reports that there may have been other ways that this whoever is behind this intruded beyond just solar winds. They're finding evidence of that. They have not been able to root out the people that got into this vulnerability from all systems yet. They're still in there in a lot of cases. And you know this. This kind of confidential information is exactly the kind of thing you fear that someone would get intruding into a government system informants investigative techniques that you can now learn from to evade being prosecuted or caught yourself. That's that's crown jewel type stuff it's it's very interesting. In fact krebs spoke on record saying that it could potentially take years to figure out how deep the solar winds attack actually went and how many different kinds of infrastructure. You know brands and everything that it might have affected so this is not something. That's going to die anytime soon. I'm glad that they are reaching out. Craig's and stay most though because that i agree with you tom. It's excellent. excellent team roku made a few interesting announcements roku says. Npd data shows that the roku s was the top selling smarter operating system in the us and canada in two thousand twenty thirty one percent market share in canada. Thirty eight percent in the united states That's pushed the samsung's tizen number two. At least we don't actually know samsung's ties and was number. One in two thousand nineteen also announced a wireless soundbar reference design that uses wifi for its roku. Tv ready program remember. Last year roku announced the program which had a designed for wired. Sound bars. The program includes tcl. Pokemon on an element has just announced. They'll join as well with two point. Two point one ready sound bars roku tv ready to expand internationally later this year as well. But here's the big roku news roku has agreed to acquire exclusive global distribution rights to more than seventy five Shows documentaries some of which had not been released before qube shutdown. So there'll be some new stuff that nobody's ever seen after their exclusivity deal expires. That'll happen in a bit more than a year. Depending on the show roku will still have the rights to show the content just not exclusively until thousand twenty seven the content will have to be presented in original increments of ten minutes or less. The deal doesn't let them stitch it altogether. The content will be added to the more than forty thousand movies and tv shows already available. In the roku channel shows include from Be anyway punked. Murder house. Flip and dummy which stars anna kendrick. I never watched the new punk. I heard had its moments. The whole qube thing. It's really interesting to me because it was sort of like. It crashed and burned so quickly. And there's a lotta shot and friday around folks in the industry about it. And i think that's not because qube was doing things wrong. It was because the company had raised so much money time. Because you know. They had meg whitman. Jeffrey katzenberg who are you know. Heavy hitters and there was a little bit of like you are being to embassies and therefore you shall fail. The company did fail and the idea that some creators will have a new life on another platform shows. That just don't even saw but people still worked on. And maybe you're really good. I think this this makes a lotta sense and good for roku to get exclusivity for at least a few years so does roku have to wait at all in order to start showing this content or can happen immediately. I don't know when the start date. Whenever the deal is you know goes into effect. Then they'll immediately be able to to show it so you know within a month or so it would be my guess anyway but no they. They don't have once. The deal is actually in effect. They don't have to wait. What's going on here. is that the baby. Production companies own the rights to their own stuff but they have a two year exclusive for each one of their shows with qube and those two year exclusives are now being transferred to roku so roka will be able to have the exclusive for the remainder of whatever. The period was with quick. That's why it's more a year. Exclusively goes away then they still have the right to show it until twenty twenty seven but the production companies that made it can now start shopping at around to other places as well so the production companies do hold the content and remember this is just the content. Qube is still in a over. Its turnstile technology which is holding it up from selling its technology and i would expect once it resolves that lawsuit should resolve it in a way that they still hold their technology. They'll sell that to so this isn't the last you're going to hear could be selling off a part of it. I would imagine. Gotcha yeah that whole. The whole technology part of qube was again was an ambitious thing that was released at a very inopportune time in twenty twenty when everyone was like. We're just sitting at home like we don't need this like mobile phone technology. It's like cool that you can shifted around but you can't even cast thing. I mean the company did fix that pretty soon after allow about she was just. I mean it's just did. The timing couldn't be worse but that technology when you think of it in a variety of other form factors such as monitors that swivel talked about some of those yesterday. I don't know that qube or tiktok or snapchat or all of the stuff where we're like. Oh yeah that's the. That's the portrait view. Rather than landscape view. That works for certain apps is is is all that this is four. I think there's more to it So we'll see what happens and there's patents and things that are always valuable because you can use those to extract some concessions and money and stuff. So yeah expect that all to come join the conversation in our discord which you can join by linking to a patriotic. Can't get in there and talk about your favourite qube shows with all the other discord folks. Just lincoln to your patriotic out at patriotair dot com slash. Dpd s all right shannon. How do you clone a security key. Well i i will say please do not stop using your security keys because of this story i will explain it. Researchers from ninja lab published a paper on thursday showing how you could clone a google tightened security gate this is a two factor authentication key which is very similar to a you. Be key that you have to plug in or tap in order to access an account after putting in your username or your password credentials. Were both so in order to pull off the clone. You would need physical access to the key for about ten hours. Sometimes a minimum of ten hours just kind of depends on how good you are at this. About twelve thousand dollars worth of equipment physical equipment and custom software and some advanced skills in electrical engineering and cryptography as well. So you have to remove the chip and then take measurements of it at a being registered on each account that you went to attack the measurements observe electro magnetic radiation as the chip generates digital signatures that let the attacker slowly deduced the private key so measurements take about six hours per account. That's not including taking apart. The original tighten security key putting it back together. Then you need to seal the chip back into its case. You also need the targets password in order for this to work. So the reason it works is because of vulnerability in the security hardware chip residing within the google titan key and that is called an eighty seven hundred x by this company called. Xp if it's exploited in attacker could grab the elliptic curve cryptographic private key for the account and the same chip is actually found in other two factor. Authentication physical tokens as well like There's a ubiquity that it's found in but chances of attack or very very minimal given the scope of the attack so if you do all of this without the target ever noticing then they would never duplicated key but again given the scope given how much it costs and everything behind the scenes probably when it happened to normal user. The point of these security keys being the best way to use For two factor. Is that you can't even get at your private key right you. Nobody has to be able to get in there like the chip. Just doesn't make it available so the fact that they were able to get in there and get it is huge. You know the fact that they were able to do this is significant. But i mean if you're not a target of an advanced persistent threat. You don't need to worry about this. No one's going to go to the trouble to do this. And even if you're a target. I would guess shannon that most of them probably would be able to notice if someone took their key for ten hours or more you. You likely likely would especially since a lot of people with hardware tokens like google titan will stick them on a on their keychain for example like with their house keys or whatever wherever they keep all those personal physical devices that they don't want lost or stolen they keep them all on engaging so if somebody was to take one of these out of your purse out of your gym locker wherever it might be and remove it for like ten hour street minimum. You would likely know that this would have happened. the neat thing about these chips inside of these. Google tightened security keys. And any other cryptographic hardware tokens like these is that. Even the manufacturer doesn't know the private key so the fact that they were able to find vulnerability on these specific chipsets is really interesting. And i think that's the important bit of that. Is is even though the google titan like the end all be all of really excellent. Two factor authentication. There's always. The potential that vulnerabilities can be found. So i'm happy that this research came out. It's so fascinating and it's so interesting in this means that an x. p. and other security chipset manufacturers that sell these teeny tiny chips to google or whoever the company might be They can build on this. They can research and figure out what the next version of their chipset needs to entail in order to not be vulnerable to this again in the future. Yeah i mean this is really a good security story right. We finally figured out because there's always a way right. We finally figured out the way you get the private key out of a security key and guess what it's really hard takes a long time and now that we know it we can make it even harder and hopefully you know push that barrier out even further and even if somebody did have time to do this and you didn't notice i was reading the paper because i'm a huge nerd and they go as far as using fuming fuming nitric acid in order to get like melt the epoxy off of the original google titan. How are you going to put that back together. In order for somebody to not notice like there's a lot of intricacies with this attack in order for it to actually be pulled off so chances are very very slim that somebody would be able to pull off so again as i said at the very beginning. Don't stop using your google tightened security key if you have one keep using it because chances are you would never be attacked with this. Just just know if you haven't seen it in ten hours look together strange. This is going to be in a movie though. I'm calling that shot right now. We're gonna we're gonna see this movie. Where like i hope so. Somebody goes into surgery and they take his key and they go out and do all this and they slip it back in because ten hours later. He wakes up from anesthesia on something like that. I just hope they talked to the researchers so they actually show it off right. Yeah Sony tv and audio announcements Starting with details for its own tv lineup. Sticking with lead ravi x four k and k. Tv's will support four k at one hundred twenty hertz variable refresh rate vr as well as a l l m low latency mode and e arc. These are all things that are important. If you've got a ps five now you've got sony. Tv they can go. That sony also has an improved a chip that is going to improve the picture and sound positioning. So it aligns with what you see on the screen. Sony's master series. Tv's will come with a sensor that adjusts white balanced immense. Your ambiente color temp. You don't have to do anything they'll just do it. Also an aluminum heat shield. That will make for brighter. All the sets will support. Hdmi two point one. Another big one for ps five dolby vision hdr angle tv. Sony also announced. It's three hundred sixty reality audio platform if you're not familiar with three hundred sixty degree audio places instruments and vocals in a virtual sound field around your head but using just the one speaker so you can do this in an amazon echo or google. Home sony will start streaming video with three sixty audio later this year. Starting with concert from zara larsson on january eleventh. And somebody's gonna make speakers that support this. It'll be may supported by other speakers as well. But sony is going to put out the are five thousand and three thousand They've got that dark cloth. Surface that all these speakers seem to have these days with either bronze or silver accents. Work with google and amazon assistance and can connect to select sony abroad via. Tv's as well as supporting wi fi bluetooth. Spotify connect in google cast. The speakers do automated calibration to the room. They're in donut. The press a button for that. Either and we'll simulate three hundred sixty degree audio for stereo tracks as well. The five thousand cost five hundred pounds or five hundred ninety nine euros no. Us price yet on the three thousand two hundred eighty pounds. Three hundred fifty nine euros. This seems this. Seems like it's shaping up to be one of the trends. Is this the sort of three hundred sixty degree audio while you're listening to your black bank and it's just one speaker or potentially a couple of speakers ativan. Maybe yeah yeah already supported. Yeah there's less of kind of like What do i have to do. Five point one surround or at least get a couple of speakers and make them a stereo pair type thing. I really haven't heard this in. I don't know. I used to hang out at magnolia at best. Buy all the time. And just like geek out on stuff like this. of course. this technology wasn't around at the time. But it's really come on. Let's turn on some stuff and see the speakers. Do it works well. Then that's awesome my first reaction because i got rid of my kind of pants speakers some years ago because friend of mine needed them more than i did and i didn't have room in my apartment but i miss that i'm also an a. A permanent now that's smaller and kind of has a lot of weird angles and i find audio bounces off walls in wiz. That wouldn't if it was more of a square box broom So i'm not sure that i'm the perfect target market for this. You're the you're the one puts this through its paces and sees if it really works. Yeah if i could actually work as advertised again with some funny angles in a big old frame. Then i'm i'm really into this and i've always been. I don't have a sony. Tv currently sorry zony. But i was abroad. Bravi a person for years. Nears i think what the new bravi line is coming out with. Looks really nice. And i mean not totally in the market for a new tv. But i like the fact that i might get a new sony again paired up with a sony speaker. You got three six. Yeah already got all this stuff. It's going to be a messed anyway. You slice it. But i like. I like this to be sixty reality audio platform. What would you have set up in your house. I was straight up going to mention sonos because if if it doesn't have the connectability to be able to work with all of my other platforms that currently have invested in. Then chances are i wouldn't buy it. So i do have sono says in my house and i do have some issues connecting those with other speakers in the household to like like my google hub for example so the fact that this works with google and amazon assistant the speaker specifically The audio speakers. I think that's pretty cool. I like that. They are bringing that in and i am interested because i do live in a household. That has very high ceilings. How this would work in that kind of environment. So yeah. I'm very interested in the audio aspect. Well you might also be interested in what colour has come out. Oh yes the folks who make things like toilets and and sinks and lots of appliances however. Been a real. Cas mainstay for the last few years for some cool innovations and this year is no different. Even though we're not in vegas koehler has a new smart bathtub called the stillness bath. That lets you use an app or use your voice using google or amazon's assistance to fill up the water or perhaps set the mood by changing the color of the lights around the tab or even add some fog. You know you wanna kind of pretend like you're in the then present routines also turn on features in a certain orders if you wanna get kind of creative. that's cool. Yeah the certain amount of limitations with the base model and the base model is not cheap so temperature and depth control models alone will cost around eight thousand six hundred ninety eight dollars. That's right it's almost nine thousand dollar bathtub. If you want the experience tower that lets you activate fog and aromatherapy. That will run you just over ten thousand dollars. Both models are available in july. There are real things and if you want the version with lights and floor grades for overflow fifteen thousand nine hundred ninety eight dollars available. This october signed me off. I won't be buying those. Nope not even a little bit but we could have taken a bath at s in the new in the pre show roger was like. Why would you want fog. It's like this. Why does anyone want to be on. Yeah racist luxury suites in hotels for sure as well as apple's houses sure yeah something well. Yeah it's it's that like hey look at what my bath can do people go. Wow very fancy and then you know ten years from now will be like remember when we thought it was fancied to talk to your bathtub so that it would start filling up without touching it but Yeah it's it's somewhat silly because of the price. But i'm not really much of a bath person but they do look very nice all right. Let's check out the mail bag but ads do it. Nick wrote in with a pronunciation. Ramps own neck. You are not alone he says. Ac's rog is an initial list. Because it's our og like fbi or cia. People say ron yet. They're lower end gaming brand tough not initially them. It's an acronym like scuba or produce you f but pronounced off. It's like ace's can't make up their name minds. Then there's strict which is our subbrand strikes as a word it's a completely nonsensical made up word. But it's a word and you pronounce it as such nick as honestly as somebody. That buys a lot of hardware. Because i've rarely had a bad experience with them over the past twenty years. I am baffled by some branding decisions. The one the bugs me. The most is the strict subbrand. Sometimes acis makes the tricks products. The high end product in the product stock yet other times. It's a mid range product. Would it be too much to ask for consistency and product. Branding twenty twenty one. Yes apparently apparently we feel your pain. Nick i love the dichter's just like i just need to vent you guys. Let me let me let me get this up. Just we appreciate that. Yeah i mean i. i'm with you nick. "Danny Max. Digital photography, smartphones. Smartwatches 88 88 Ask, Leo is listen to Scott Wilkinson that talk to the chat room earlier. And it made me think about these new headphones that Apple has started selling. He's AirProd pro max doohickey phones. There are $550 Which is, you know, too cheap for really good headphones. And too expensive for everything else. They're kind of in in a gray area for headphones. My friend Rene Ritchie, who has a YouTube channel youtube dot com slash Rene Ritchie and is an analyst of All These Things came up with an interesting Kind of positioning for these headphones. I thought it was kind of Informative. You know, we talk all the time about how Our smartphone cameras, the camera itself the lens the sensor that I'm not very good. They can't be their sin the light they have to be relatively cheap. Uh, even $1000 phone. You know, you can't put more in a few 100 bucks worth a camera in there, Not even not not even that much. So mostly, what goes on in our smart phones these days, which do get excellent pictures His after you take the picture. It's called computational photography. It takes the bits that the Lens, and the sensor collects and processes it To make an excellent image and there lots of tricks The computational photography uses. It's what my friend Rene Ritchie said. You should think of these headphones. He's $550 headphones, which I probably will never own. But Now I'm kind of intrigued when he puts it this way. Uh, these air pod Max, he's this is computational audio. He says. Assume on I think it's a safe assumption. Most of the audio you listen to the quality isn't great. They're highly compressed air coming in off of a phone there may be streaming They may be coming via Bluetooth, which is in a very fat pipe, so they're even more compressed. You're getting the equivalent of those bad sensor pixels from your camera phone. But the air pod Max each of the cops on those on those headphones there over the year headphones. Each of those each cup has a processor in it. It has 10 cores. It is a is a supercomputer in each year. Some of those cores of devoted to things like, you know, special sound surround sound a coding and, you know, saying it or the headphones on Are they on our day off? Is he wearing them? What's going on Things like that, But There is enough processing power in those headphones to take an M perfect. Stream of audio and make it better. Nothing can make it perfect. For that, you know, for the same reason that professional photographers still spend thousands on his professional cameras with professional lenses. Garbage in garbage out is the phrase they use in computing. So maybe we should change that garbage in and you know something edible out. But the better the input, the better. The output right? Thies headphones are not designed to be high Fidelity audio headphones in the same way that $1000 or in Scott's case, $3000 pair of Stelea headphones from focal would be Their goal is to take perfect inputs and reproduce them as perfectly as possible. That's not what these air for He's there, Pop Max, these $550 apple headphones, which again I will never buy and probably never own unless somebody gives them to me. In which case Thank you very much. Are designed to taken in perfect input and make it better. Its computational audio so that I think that's kind of interesting. And it actually fits a little bit better..

New from Panasonic - The BOX Camera!
"Hey welcome back to another episode of this week and photo. Your host frederik van johnson today on the show that this dink pleasure in honor. I have of sitting down with my buddy. Mr photo. Joseph of youtube channel by the same name We're gonna be talking about panasonic's new box camera. it's an interesting new enclosure. Microphone thirds for cameras targeted people. I would say like photo. Joseph that are that are playing in that that filmmaking cinematography high end world and less of the world people like me that use cam links in the welcome man. How's it going. I'd go real good. Thank you for asking. I think by the time they were at the end of this conversation. You might change your tune in might need like five leaves in your studio. We'll say oh no so five. I'm gonna need five of the new. What is it the airpod the homepods the little ninety nine dollars call. That looks pretty so much stuff so many toys so little money dancer. So you're you've got a highly popular youtube channel. You're known in the industry. You and i worked together way back in the day at apple for a little bit. You know your way around media and video creation you got black magic black magic here before it was attainable for the rest of us with with many pro and all that stuff so perfect person to ask these questions to so before we kick off this. What's your elevator pitch for the people. That may not be familiar with you or your youtube channel. Yeah sure so. I'm photo joseph. Content creator youtuber photographer. Filmmaker all that good stuff of these as hang my hat as photo joseph pretty much everywhere he find it on youtube twitter facebook and so on most active on twitter if you wanna interacts on social media. That's definitely the place to go and to subscribe at youtube dot com slash photo. Joseph of course most of my video content there is well. Everything is about photography and video. It's kind of a photo video gear and technique. that's the elevator pitch on that and Yet we talk about all kinds of fun stuff in lately. It's been a lot on the livestreaming world especially since cove. Everybody's alive schumer now and the introduction of the atm many late last year could not have come at a better time for black magic. And dave just keep hitting out of the park with every new release. We really been talking a lot about that And then with this new camera organ talking about today. It's really interesting to see how that can tie into a setup using the black magic for streaming and simultaneous recording. And that's to me where this cameras the most exciting. So we'll we'll definitely be talking about that. Yeah let's dive into that. And you hit it right on the head man like with a with a pandemic and then the increased rush into zoom based workflows in school and all that and live streaming becoming more and more popular people. Like you like yourself Now have superpowers right. Because you're you've been doing this stuff for years and figuring out failing and then succeeding and then buying gear yet. so you've already walked over all the codes. All the colts to sort of get to the the professional video place is this. You know we're gonna talk about the camera. But i'm curious is is sort of new world that we're living in livestreaming zoom world that. We're living in does that. Does that change the trajectory of where your business is going or is it. Just you know you have more clients and you're doing more of the same. Well it has. I mean because i've been doing live streaming for quite a while. And i've got setups like this here. This is just my my studio. I'm at my desk right now. I've built out this backdrop and obviously it's nicely lit and so on and then the camera switching and everything. I all that in place long before covid and so people have always seen that and come to appreciate how it looks and the results of it and then wants this started. Everybody suddenly went. Gotta have to stream from home all the time whether it's just for zoom meetings or for doing actual broadcast. I started actually getting a lot of new clients just for consulting. Just you know an hour here. And they're just helping people through this process what it takes to set it up what it takes to make it. Look good sound good Be successful and so on. So it's it's been huge. It's been a really big part of my business over the last nine months which has been pretty wild to to see happen. But it's cool. You know some of the clients that are looking for bigger things or different things. What i normally do. It just gives me an excuse to dive into it and learn more about and figure out how integrates what already now.

Latest Nintendo News
"Get excited. Choo Choo Train. ooh, you. Pay Pipe that leads us to the end of our news segment and for funds. As we thought, it'd be cool to just kind of wrap up with a couple of quick hit news items that happened to be all Nintendo related in. So, if you guys missed it earlier this week a drop for the Super Mario lying on black milk went live and we talked about this one they announced it and you're into. Fashion of the FEM variety I like the starter s let's they have a lot of stop you can check out, but they also announced the animal crossing Collab-, which is going to be happening. So this is Super Fun as well. So if you guys want to showcase your love for either animal crossing or Super Mario Brothers, you may want to check out the black milk line secure and there was also to more announcing Super Nintendo world is going to be happening in twenty twenty one. So this is an old trailer Super Nintendo world. Obviously, this is going. To be in Japan, there's one supposed to be happening universal studios in Orlando but because of the covid nineteen pandemic, it has been delayed worldwide. What they did today was confirmed that they're like come hell or high water. We're going to open in two thousand and twenty one, and they revealed some of the food items that you're going to be able to try when you go to Super Nintendo world. So let me show you think tool dress. Suggest I mean they sold that dress in a shop in their blackmail trout by so much stuff is capped already like. The the two things I got are already kept the presale. But. You can still or you can still order those things in select sizes. But the food goes I don't know those UK. Those are those are pancake sandwiches what What. So we're looking at. Ladies and gentlemen of some of the themed cafes and other sources they're going to be having some of the they're showcasing our these Mario and Luigi Pancake sandwiches in the pancakes are like tacos but filled with whipped cream. Are Their hats won as an m one as an L. One's read one's green who would have said and Mario doesn't want these photos to be bigger. I apologize everybody watching Mario's pancakes. Sandwich has strawberries and cream and it says who's come. That's a cap joke says Oak Dokey and they're some looking green fruit and cream I'm not sure what exactly is going on yeah I don't know what those fruits are. There's apple or lime I'm. A super mushroom drink and a tropical bottle and a mess moustached fruit creams soda because a little. Alcoholic? Be grateful was bring your own. To. Chat. Hopefully. It just looks really cute and the store is obviously look all Mario we on the inside, all the chairs, little toadstools and I now this is GonNa. Be My happy place. I'm ready. We're definitely going to do what's good games field trip to Super Nintendo World Orlando when it finally opened. Hundred percent. Rona. No likes he rona. And your the worst get out of here. Okay Only Rona would take a hint. All right. Our last piece of Nintendo news was this little news blurb that dropped this week about Nintendo treehouse spotlighting Jairo Warriors, age of calamity, and then a little bit more info about. Three Pittman three, the deluxe version, Jairo Warriors. So age of calamity is this an expansion it and actually get a chance to watch this this is the. Way tecmo warriors spin off. So it's like real warriors, but it's called age, of course, because it takes place one hundred years before breath of the wild. Yes. So what's GonNa be really interesting about this game it's GonNa show in deep dive into some of the characters and we're GonNa see like personal interactions and here a little bit more about their backstory. Narrative perspective. This is cool but the showcase today the Nintendo. treehouse showed her Bosa style fighting. Zelda showed link fighting a little bit young EMPA-. That is going to be hitting co rocks and the weapons won't break. They. Also, the weapons work in this game. And I showed a little bit about of the map in the weapon upgrades system and it actually looks really good. I mean I did not like the first Jairo warriors primarily because the multiplayer was really bad someone had a play on the way you gain pat and someone could play on. TV. was like the way they designed it why they did that I don't know Nintendo Intendo, but it's really fun and the game play it looks great and some of the places that they visited. To see loan ranch, you could see all the locations essentially from breath wild before the the fan. So most of these villages are intact. The buildings aren't all destroyed. You get to see some of Aksu Games like an ochre enough time Linlin ranch, for example, AC, the same buildings and the little sheds. If it looks good. It looks like all the kicking, ass. Zelda out here. Making her keep and look at that. So she is primarily her Sheikha Asleep abilities which every character has access to you. But hers are a little bit more epic like her bomb for example, is like A. Bomb that spits out many bombs and it's pretty global. Yeah. Yeah. I think this is going to be fun. This actually comes out November twentieth and pick me comes out October thirtieth. So these are two. I mean, I think this game's much bigger than pigment three personally. But yeah, and it's an awesome set up their sleeve, which is nice. It's interesting that they're choosing to focus on this game. Because I think a lot of people were hoping for an update on what's happening with breath of the wild to not to say that we need like a full game play reveal or anything like that. Clearly, this game isn't going to be happening until two thousand, twenty one at the earliest but it would have been nice to get like a teaser or something in conjunction with this Jairo. Warriors announcement, and this is a little bit of A. Guy When this game was announced. Feel like those were a month ago a few weeks ago. was they said, yeah. Sorry. We know. We know what you really want. Just please be patient you really really want. Yeah, they. Yeah but. We can't give out to you yet. The thing. Thanks bye. Yeah I. Think it'll be good. It'll be a little guitar over. It also face. This is an appetizer main course exactly at Obama's or Bros a kick ass you. She got a hack and slash the lightning, their little shield she's like mosquito. been and kill you. If you want to see the game play that we're referring to, of course, youtube dot com slash what's good games or you can go to the Nintendo YouTube account as well. But did you spend a lot of time with hydro warriors doesn't Feel like your style of game and please tell me if I'm inaccurate, you're not wrong. No I played like I said, a little bit of the I went back. When was on we you but the problem with you is this is kind of Game I. Think I could only played multiplayer because it's just more entertaining play someone but someone had a play on the you game had an some could play on the TV and so as you can imagine that didn't work very well Jason was playing on the way you gamepad because of course, he was and I had the Nice Big Shiny TV. His game, he knows his role absolutely his game play on the game pad was really laggy. It didn't look very good I mean it was the Game Pad Right? So I played it. It was fun. But the reason I'm more interested in this one is because of again, it's going expand on the story. Breath of the While we're GONNA get a deeper dive into characters like are both saw relationship she had with Zelda and Zelda's relationship with these folks and that's I. Think we're the the excitement comes from for me.

Fed adopts new inflation strategy, widely seen as leading to easier policy
"We would be remiss if we did not mention a big speech coming tomorrow from Fed Chair J. Paul the Title Monetary Policy Framework Review. Is I think we can all agree Adad Dry. What it's going to mean in real life though says economists Tim Dewey at the University of Oregon. In dry at all, my expectation is the Fed's going to basically loosen up how they've been thinking about their a two percent inflation target. Specifically, the Fed will actually try to overshoot the two percent target a little bit to make up for periods of undershooting the two percent target, and that's a big deal because central bankers today are still really really leery of inflation flashing back as they do to the nineteen seventies and Paul Volcker and a prime rate of twenty one and a half percent. But. What is this speech going to mean for you and me where you're gonNA notice a difference as maybe over the longer run like in this recovery, the federal probably won't raise interest rates as early as it did in the previous recovery. So maybe as a result of that, the recovery is a little bit faster and that would mean Jonah that rumour quickly that wages that grew more quickly and then maybe inflation was a little bit higher. And as often happens with the Fed Powell merely talking about higher inflation could just nudge the economy all by itself even the expectation that policy will be easier for longer could actually induce some of us to take economic activity now because it improves your confidence about the future. Tim Dewey at the university, of Oregon, there with the set of J. Pals big speech tomorrow on inflation. It's all virtual. By the way the Fed conference tomorrow, you can watch pal speech sued use. Should you so choose go to the Kansas City Fed's youtube site YouTube dot com slash Kansas City Fed.

Where to find free music for paid events?
"Hey there Chris Jen from La and I'm a longtime listener. first-time question, ask her. Like the new format by the way, My question is where can I find a free music to US I've been hosting a series of virtual events to connect with other moms interested in entrepreneurship and I'd like to play music in the background during one of our collaborative work sessions. Since. This is a paid service broadcasting I realized I probably shouldn't just throw on a stream from beyond. Say Even though I did it once. Don't tell. Where can I? Find Music? I can use for free without getting into licensing issues. Thanks Chris. Jenn. What's up? Thank you so much for listening from La That's a great question as well and your secret is safe with me and all of our listeners of course. Reality is you're probably not going to get in trouble for something like that? I mean which is why we're talking about it here, but to be safe. Imagine that this is a growing business. And you do want to make sure that you're actually not running afoul of any copyright laws, which as I said isn't issue. You can't just use anybody's commercial music. I keep waiting for beyond. Say to cut attract. Recite school. I've had my question for a while, but I'm guessing I probably can't afford her. So for this show we have a license with a couple of different databases and services where our producer Chuck Hey. Thanks Chuck you. He's able to download an tracks in various places, so we keep all this music dropbox folder. He's able to access it and mix it. I don't know all those different services, but here's one that I've been using recently on money. Tree TV started this new service. My Youtube a little while ago, you can see that youtube dot com slash Chris Gil Abo- and the services called epidemic sound, so you can go to epidemic sound dot com, and it's a membership model. They've got tons of tracks that amateur musicians out there are recording and all sorts of genres you can search and filter based on all kinds of variables including beats per minute including what instrumentation you want us all kinds of stuff. It's really good and. It's a membership site I think it starts at like fifteen dollars a month or something, and you cancel the membership. You actually get to keep all the tracks that you've downloaded. which almost sounds too good to be true, but that is in fact, what they say so. I don't have any affiliation with them aside from paying them. But that site is epidemic sound dot com. They're also a lot of other public domain stock music resources out there just know that that's what you want to be looking for. Stock Music where you can pay for a license, or that's very very clear. It's free for the public use including commercial usage. Just make sure you read carefully to make sure it's okay to do that.

Should this cupcake baker go all-in or move on?
"This is from Houston. Texas and I've been listening to the show for about a year and a half. Now My side Hustle is baking I'm a homemaker and I specialize in custom, cakes, cupcakes and good old fashioned cookies. My question is how do you know when it's time to go on and move on? It's been a struggle for me for the last five years of trying to my baking business while working being a mom and being a way is a struggle and indicator. I have so many ideas. I want to pursue, but I don't WANNA burn out. I can't wait to hear from you. Chris, thanks so much. Thank you so much for the call. Thank you for listening in Houston Texas. We actually talked about this question on my youtube channel recently If you're not watching youtube, dot, com slash Chris Gayle Abo- one of those days. When we looked at Irish question, I am not doing daily now, but I am still doing at least weekly. I'm so go check it out. YOUTUBE DOT COM Slash Chris! Gallo all right. Here's the thing. Burn out is not necessarily an indicator that it's time to go all in, so you might actually find yourself even more stressed out if the business isn't economically viable, and now all of a sudden instead of it being a side thing, it's something that you're depending on. Remember that one of the benefits of assign also is that you can take risks without depending on the outcome to be immediately favorable like if it doesn't work right away, that's okay. You have time to tweak to adjust even to change to something totally different so I think generally speaking the time to go all in his. When your side hustle is becoming a real business, it's showing signs of growth. You can count on sustainable income from it for the next six months, and you also believe that. If you put more time and effort into it, it will do even better. So in case, it sounds like she's not sure about that I. Don't know that she has to necessarily abandoned the project, but if you are feeling burnt out about something, maybe it's good to take a pause and once again having it as a US. Also, it will take a pause because if you're depending on it. Of course then you wouldn't be able to. Whatever you WanNa make sure you avoid a situation where something that began as a fun thing where you had lots of energy behind it. You're like. Oh, this is creative. It's different. Turns into something that actually produces anxiety or stress, so if you aren't sure sometimes having more time to put into the project isn't necessarily a blessing might actually need to do something different

The Atheist Experience
Atheist Experience with Matt Dillahunty & Shane Isgrig
"Yesterday was the Austin Atheist Day celebration and it was supposed to take place on the steps of the capital But we cancelled our event. They're even before the capital shutdown. We switched to an online format so once atheist experience is done for the day. We'll be playing the two hour collected clips of that And also that video is already up at went live yesterday at noon On a sister channel and mark has link-up for that channel as well. It's basically the Atheist Community of Austin Speaker series so It's youtube dot com slash atheist community of Austin is the primary channel interview are very liked and subscribed to atheist experienced You can go there and like subscribe to that and you will get the videos from the speakers as well. But we're GONNA air it kind of as a a special afterwards. Because I do a quick introduction there which will explain what happened but we also have Mandy so Thomas Andrews and Arn raw and I gave a talk but also Jannine v and Dan and Christie. And Charlie and Daryl and mom gosh who am I gonNa Forget Thomas Westbrook and Eric ends it. I think I think got all of them. Two hours of little short speeches between a couple of minutes maybe fifteen minutes each and so you have thoughts from each one of us about you know why atheist as important what you know goals emissions were working for. I'm glad that you both still did atheist day. And you made the adjustments before there was actually abandoned place on large gatherings. I'm glad that the ACA took it upon itself to say we're not going to be a part of getting people together right now yeah. Aca is currently a DEFCON Three three Defcon two we go down to. Nobody's allowed in the building except the crew and all hosts will be remote and Defcon one. We just stopped producing content We're hoping we don't get there but you know watching what's happening and I'm optimistic that maybe were getting ready to turn a corner on testing treatment. I've been pretty much self quarantine at my house for the last week. Yeah I was going to go. I was actually going. Leave the country for my first time and go to Europe. My trip would've ben two days from now That for obvious reasons has been canceled but I already got that time approved off of work so I figure might as well kind of quarantine while Canyon do what I can to slow that curb because a lot of people are misunderstanding. That the biggest reason why. We're trying to like flattening. Curve is just because something like eighty percent of us and I don't have the exact number but a large number of people are going to end up getting the virus and it's just it's important that we don't all get it at the same time because that would overwhelm our healthcare system and already kind of starting to see that in New York. It looks like they're starting to make arrangements for temporary hospitals. And you know we have to come up with plans on how we're going to get more ventilators and all of that stuff so do what. You can't just slow down. You might get it but I try not to get at the same time as everyone else. Yeah and I've been playing Do Maternal which came out on the twentieth Straight streaming that So for those people who aren't aware I guess maybe I never mentioned it here But I stream live on twitch and I've had twitch channel for like five years and every day somebody new comes in and goes holy crap. It's mental Donnie streaming games and. I didn't know you were Gamer. Yes I'm a Gamer. I was quick ninety-seven Iran the number one counter strike team in the United States. I am a hardcore. Gamer of both first person shooters and RPG's and some platforms but also boardgames index games. I fucking Love Games. Yeah and I will play the hell out of him and so a corn teens are really good opportunity. I think I stream do maternal for about seven hours yesterday which is a a middle of the road stream from me. I've done twenty four hour streams. I've done two hours rooms. I mean apart from Activism Video Games is mainly what you do anyway right so this. This is an entirely different for you your lifestyle. Just just I'm going to go do what you want videos. And then go back in the room and streams some so that works out. It's business as usual apart from you know not getting to hang out with as many of my friends right. That's that's been the hard part for me. Is just wanting to have large gatherings and just kind of thinking you know if I don't have a really good reason to go see somebody then I don. I shouldn't go do it because one of the problems with this Cove in nineteen is like. You're symptomatic for a while. After you get it so you can have it and not know it right. And that's the that's one of the biggest problems so I also shared a post today because Rand Paul has now tested positive. I I made it posted on facebook saying you know irony. It's what's for breakfast and I don't want anybody to think that I am Gleeful in any way that Rand Paul or anyone else's infected that's not remotely the case. I'm sorry that anybody got affected and I don't you know. Berry were like Oh no. That's just as you know. Screw you ran. You know the irony of it was that there was Legislation that was going to be voted on specifically to start addressing this and move funds around and he basically held our healthcare hostage by attaching an amendment which included things like pulling us out of Afghanistan. Things that weren't even relevant to thing you know. Let me get my pet issues in at the expense of other people's health right and he got tested because he's in the Senate. He has access to attest to that. Other people don't have access to yet. He didn't have any symptoms. It was just a precautionary test whereas I have a friend who has a friend who has symptoms in his sick with a fever cough everything else and cannot get tested and because they talked to somebody else. Those people don't know if they've been exposed or right. I would like to see an increase in the availability of tests because Rand Paul's as dramatic or some dramatic yet but he's in a higher risk category for having you know severe Response to all this. But Yeah it's I mean here's what I would leave in my comment in regards to you like you know some people saying that it's justice or not if I believed in Karma. This would strengthen my belief. Yeah that's what I can. I'm going to leave it at that. Yeah except I don't right. Oh

Danny I've I've been mulling over this ever since I heard it like five minutes ago before the show started and my speculation is that this whole indefinite push will probably be like at the beginning getting of the playstation five an xbox series x launch. This game will come out now instead. closer to. I don't think I don't think it is. I think they're doing the same thing that cyberpunk is doing where they're trying to get closer to the new console release really quality related at all. You think it's getting giving I I don't I don't know I mean I'm not I'm not in their studios but if I was them and I knew now that I suddenly got the playstation five advocate and the xbox series Dev Kit and I was like oh no this can like run playstation four games so much. Well and it's it's it's never a copy and paste situation other so probably that thing where they do. Just WanNa take the extra time to make sure that it is excellent for the newer consoles. Yeah that's a better first impression. See I wholeheartedly disagree. But I do think that there's a sliver of truth on the marketing Publishing VP. Whoever up up the chain side? Because I think the developers need more time I I believe cyberpunk just is like Oh this is where we want it to be Tech Line is like this is not where we want it to be but I think when they go to their board of Directors or whoever they asked about this off right into the president and just like we need more time I think there is that sucks but people are going to be excited and if they can go back instead of instead of doing doing what final fantasy seven remake is doing where it's like. We're delaying for like a month. Because this is like not shaping up as well as we thought last minute. It's probably that thing where they are saying. We might as well. If we're going to push back push it is closer. The new console launches as as possible. Yeah it'll be interesting to see when we when we finally get at our president from xbox in place to handle the fact. Oh It's Christian. Incredibly ambitious games. Total cyberpunk twenty. Seventy seven is is very like one of the most ambitious games coming out this year and dying light to is bound more ambitious from what I've seen. Yeah Yeah that was where we came out of the whole decision of who you trusted. which if you did on the one side it would learn fled the city? And there's this brand new place to explore otherside you'll be the city flooded. I remember asking questions like if I leave the city flooded. Do I not see that world like yeah like gotten designer who sat there. Yeah backed out an entire city and they did all this work like fifty percents of the Gamers won't see that. Maybe I'm excited. I'm excited for it regardless whenever it comes

Kinda Funny Games Daily
Victor Lucas is a Video Game Industry Treasure
"If you've missed Victor Lucas before Kinda funny. Yeah period. Because he's been on a bunch of stuff electrically around of course my brand. I've been doing it forever. Twenty five years. This was that honestly at the end of this year. It's twenty five. Full years have been all the threes adulation there thank you. And so it's a surreal thing when you hit twenty five years of the same email address at the same job most part personally. Of course everything has been different as we've grown from a weekly show we went to a daily TV show and then we had all all kinds of growth that way. Yeah and then we've had shrink down a little bit in this sort of Internet age and you have deal with Youtube and streaming and But one of the things that we did this year as we moved into cafe space at the Vancouver Film School so awesome which is an actual public space. That people can come and watch the show in and of course all kinds of incredible guests come through Vancouver uncover. They're working on movies and TV shows and video games and comic books and I've been able to tap into that so we've had people like animators from Spiderman into the spider versed. Uh David haters been on SAM has been on a garbage. I love that K- t- terrible garbage on kind of funny because it's great and I love of days gone by the way I thought that game was awesome and I thought I wasn't going to your favorites a- It's great to have this this forum where people can come in You know chat chat with everybody. That's been my favorite thing because I remember not the last time but one of the first times you came through especially when the new studio it was right as you were like pivoting and I'm doing youtube for the first time I I don't know what I'm doing I I still don't sort of watch. You grow in thrive going from TV and having been thirteen guy forever. Yes because I mean that's how I knew you. That's how I and I know that's how Canada knows you you walk the streets. Candida Europhobes. Celebrity people have grown up watching you. It is surreal and that really happened when we went daily. Well you know when we were a weekly show it was on the weekends and you had to be individual games when we went daily and started talking about all kinds of other entertainment. Suddenly families were watching the show together and I could palpably feel that whenever I walk around and I still get a little bit of that because people were on for so long yeah. I'm grateful to all of our partners. That then all the viewers that have been watching. Yeah that's always my favorite thing when you come by the fact that the chat in the comments are usually put on either the victim who is being like. Oh my God Lucas. Because they know you and they've again bet you've been doing this for so long doing it so well Oh and also you're one of the few people in the games industry. No one ever talked shit about. Everybody loves me. I had a little shit at this year. which is even that like? I think it was the normal thing where it was Okay clearly this isn't every started going crazy understandably. Yeah and it was like all right cool but that's not what Vick we do know. That was the whole thing. That's how vic would do this. Yeah Yeah it as an entrepreneur and I know that you're you have the same kind of perspective is what when you build something you know hard it is to build things. Yeah so when I interview people or I critique things I have that perspective I have that kind of awareness fairness that people don't set out to build shitty things and so you don't have to come in with this binary kind of attitude that this sucks and this is great. This sucks and this is awesome and so much of honestly. I don't want to throw shade at Youtube but so much of what I see on Youtube is is that it's like people just want to pile on the want to celebrate something too much or hate hate something too much. You know. It's funny where we have a bunch of inside baseball questions later about values and how it's all comes together but I do think that a lot of that comes with Youth in not knowing exactly what you're doing so I don't mean you in terms of age but in terms of I'm going to be a reviewer I'm GonNa Review Stuff I look back at my reviews from two thousand seven to two two thousand ten thousand dollars in cringe because like I m being mean and I m being. I am ignoring how long it took these people to make something. Because I didn't know that at the time and that you also want to set set up a you're setting up your own boundaries. On how you're going to look at this stuff as well you're defining your viewpoint and all you have is that moments moments in time and that feels like a totality. It feels like I've got a really greg whole life so I know what game and then Game Rule Ford another five ten years ears and your perspective changes for sure but you know honestly I I say this a lot into People that watch our stuff is Take these opinions in and get to know the individuals which I still firmly believe could Cisco Niebuhr were you know they were the the guy. That's that's what I based reviews on the run on which it was a key part of what electric playground heart and soul was. They were The Best of the In the game and they really understood how to use their personalities to help flavor their material and you get to know them as individuals and you would sort of base your opinion on that and I think that's still holds true to this day. I think it's really important into not just blindly trust any viewpoint or any brand but get to know the individuals and see how your tastes align and then you can kind of use that as a a bit of a guiding star for what you're gonNA sample one hundred checkout. That's the power of what we do now. Right the fact that you go to youtube channels podcasts websites because you like personalities you understand what that personality analogy is the fact that you know to using example from kind of funny this year on the subway one of our best friends was able to go in and post. It'd be like moonlighters. Greg Miller ask game name and I looked at that and I'm like they know me incredibly well so I am is amazing. I grabbed it and I was like. How did I miss this? iPhone 11 Pro: camera review
"Talking Tech is brought to you by Wicks Dot com create and publish a stunning website all from one powerful platform go to wicks dot com to create your very own professional website today. That's W I X DOT COM in. Stay tuned after the show to hear you can take advantage of Wick special offer for talking tech listeners. I've been playing all weekend with the new iphone in eleven as a camera. I'm Jefferson Graham. You're listening to talking tech. I know you want to hear all about it for the first time in years. There's actually a real difference photographic photographic with the new eleven pro models two big things now you have three lenses instead of two on the previous plus models and you have the ability to shoot in virtual. Darkness both are really cool. The third lenses probably the thing that you'll use more often. The darkness thing is a gimmick but what a gimmick I invite you to take a look go to my youtube channel. YouTube dot com slash Jefferson Graham or go to USA TODAY DOT COM and check out our gallery and you'll see the images. You'll let's see the photos you see it all. I also have some on my website. Jefferson grab dot net. How's that for a lot of promotion. Let me tell you about what's going on. The Third Lens is an ultra wide dangle similar to a go pro or the lens that went on the Samsung Galaxy S. ten earlier this year. It's a little less distorted. Apple is a little better photographic weekly then Samsung so that's really cool basically what it does is it will open up your landscape shot and give you a much wider point of view if you're taking a picture of a mural all in downtown L. A. Like I did it will get the whole mural as opposed to just part of it. In the past I would have to reach to a panorama nightmare. You can shoot in total darkness darkness and get a really really nice looking shot. That looks like it was lit. What you will have to do is hold? The camera steady apple is basically taking eight photos of the same shot and merging them all together to bring in the brightness and the colors is similar to HDR photography and it's pretty pretty cool. I think you'll have a lot of fun with it. What you will not get is great lighting tricks for video. It's the same video so if you're going to try to shoot a video in low light. It's going to look pretty bad. I was Kinda surprised. The video and good light is as great as any iphone has ever been of the iphones are expensive. It's not cheap getting these great cameras this. You'll only get them. If you're going to spend a thousand dollars or eleven hundred dollars to start on the iphone eleven pro or eleven pro Max if you've got an older phone and and you only take average daylight shots you're not gonna see that much of a difference. I defy you to find the difference but on the low light and the third lands were the edition. If you've got the bucks go for it questions from twitter where I'm Jefferson Graham. Talking Tech with Richard Smith
"Tech today with my all time favorite guitar player. Richard Smith to just happens to be in California and really interesting guy because he travels seventy percent of the time and believe it or not have guitar will travel in his car from Nashville, and I'm talking to now in California. And the big question is how does one live with technology in the car? And I think it's called an iphone six fund six or whatever the latest one. I've gone. I find six I means everything only I can pretty much do everything on that. There's a certain there's a few things that having a laptop is is beneficial. I can pretty much do everything including Eddie, my website for the most. Adding certain photographs and send things make it a little easier on the laptop but seven probably seventy percent, sixty seventy or eighty percent of the stuff. I can do there's no laptop in your car. There is one in the back of my guitar case. Most of the time. Yeah. But there's not. Yeah. Yeah. That's always laptop in my car. It's too cumbersome to be traveling. Yeah, I find it so easy to do everything on while you're going down the road while my wife is driving not one I'm driving when she's with me. I can work in the cost. She's not, you know, it's just a heavy just playing YouTube on going through the the motion going through the motions of YouTube or I've got music on it. And so it just makes life easy. I've also go XM serious as well. That's that's a must for the car. You realize that I think so. Yeah, I mean, but sometimes I just don't want to hear anything sometimes. I just want to think my own stuff. What a think for myself instead of listening to somebody else coast. The news list of all of the news channels. Gotta gotta listen to all sides of all of that. And let's paint a picture for people because you're in California right now, you'll be leaving here and driving to Utah, New Mexico and Colorado to give gigs. Okay. So you really are the guy in the car what kind of car is this. We have a Toyota RAV four an icy drove out. I started in Nashville we played the Jerry re tribute show on September fifth went up the car. It's you your tar amp iphone six fund San. And and Mike's sim Mike, see, I may be a PI system. If I think I'm going to need it. Suitcase full of clothes cigar box. Those times off to the gate when you just want to just relax and may be has ago. If that's you'll think handle your bookings on the iphone six everything is done by Email for much. Yeah. Everything done by Email of everyone's oh it pretty much everyone's number eight mile or messenger Facebook messenger. I always a little people on social media that just. It's just so it's such a great time. It's such a great time. Every basically if people know you to the whole house concert thing is a big thing. These days is a lot of people doing that. You didn't have to be venue. You just need a roof and some power, and you do a lot of you do a lot of house concerts. I would say maybe forty percent of the gigs. I mean, I'm doing music shops smoke theaters festivals house, concerts. Workshops like this. Go f- clubs functions on it's just knowing. It's no in people, the the mortgage, you do the more people that know, you the more people, you know, in a certain area where you can just say, hey, any chance of a gig on this date. And if that person count, do you call someone else, the more people, you know, the more full your calendar becomes and then you can be the only reason I'm not working all the time is because I've got dogs at home. I'd never see them on. My wife is on on the road with me some of the time. I'd never say Hillary the so it's you just have to make a balance, and I've got a studio back in Nashville as well fifteen years ago when you were making the drive in driving all over the country compare what it's like today with keeping in touch with you versus what it was like back that didn't have a web. So you just have to know you had to know people you had to send out packages of with physical product and physical print. Just you don't need any of that stuff. These days not need any physical stuff. It's it's information that sent and then people could see you on YouTube, Facebook, all kinds of social media. It's just a much easier a much more independent world. The I think there are a lot more independent more independent artists than ever before. They don't even need independent labels fail. The label that just going to people like disk makers imprinting up CDs or even doing that. Just even those that that's outdated. These days people are just doing everything online. Downloads youtube. I mean, it's you need anything. You just need to know people in one gig leads to another to describe yourself. Now, I'm I guess I come from the Chet Atkins. Jerry Reed mull Travis and then kind of studied went down the Django Reinhardt off a little bit of what Brent's doing Oviously a big influence, the bluegrass guys. I'll I'll play Joplin rags skull Jobling, piano, rags on the guitar a place embark, and I'll play some standards. I gave some Beatles some Beatles and some Sousa marches, and you know, throw a little bit of fun comedy sewn. Then a little bit of blue. I try to mix it up anything from Mozart and Chopin to to the Beatles to two old southern fiddle tunes. Tell everybody had to hear you and see you on YouTube. Oh, they got you just such Richard Smith guitar, and I should come up check this. There's two or three Richard Smith's, make sure it's the right me by by going to Richard Smith music dot com to start with there'll be pages of maize, you know, which one it is on YouTube, and I've got the coast that will have got the YouTube channel WWW dot YouTube dot com slash Richard Smith music

The joy of photographing in the rain --with a smartphone
"Talking tech is brought to you in part by northwestern. University offered in partnership with north Western's Feinberg school of medicine. The program prepares students for emerging opportunities across the healthcare spectrum. Details are at SPS dot northwestern dot EDU slash informatics. So I just photographed a winning in the rain this weekend. And it's an interesting experience I had to shoot through a garbage bag to protect my camera that said in Los Angeles, we're having a very odd season in that. It's raining a lot now to those of you outside the LA that doesn't mean anything, but for us, this is different. And I went out to photograph the rain in L A because it it looked so different. It looks amazing colors and reflections, and I learned something big doing this exercise. Which is why am I shooting on a camera? I love my camera. But my smartphone is water resistant. This was such a liberating experience with a smartphone. I could do anything I could shoot in fountains. I could shoot in puddles and not have to worry about the camera. So if you wanna shoot in the rain, which I highly recommend again, beautiful reflections, a whole different look to your urban environment. And you're not shooting on a smartphone. And you want to protect your camera. I have a few tips one reach for the umbrella. It sounds obvious. But admit it, you didn't think of it because most don't shoot with one hand hold the umbrella in the other you can get a camera covering or a garbage bag this garbage bag work rate. Just smash a hole through at tape tape. It around your camera, and you are quasi protected. I don't know what would happen in a flood. But in addressable, it was fine stand under an all kkob and Onnaing an alcove any type of shelter will provide you cover and keep your camera dry. You can shoot from the car roll down the window and heavier camera protected, but my best tip use your current smart. Phone and just go crazy. Any of the recent like two years to three years additions of smartphones are water resistant? You can snap in the rain. I mean, I ran as I said, I ran into a fountain. I pushed the camera into the water a held the camera up to the skies in let the rainfall drop all over the phones without any issues. And I got terrific footage to is one big issue that you wanna be aware of while you're doing this, which is the touchscreens of the phones are not as responsive when they get wet. You'll need to have a towel or cloth to dry if your hands and the front of the smartphone for successful navigation. I invite you to watch my snapping in the rain video, which is on my YouTube channel, go to YouTube dot com slash Jefferson Graham, and let me know what you think of the video ad love to hear from you on Twitter where I'm at Jefferson Graham, you've been listening to talking tech. Who scored and who wasted their money on Super Bowl ads
"What kinds of questions where we ask you about Super Bowl fifty three in Atlanta regarding the commercials the halftime show. Maybe the players were joined now live by Tara Wolpert Levy, she's vice president of YouTube morning. Tara, what ads did we like, our you? Thanks for having me. Well, you know. A lot more than the press. We saw viewership of the big game is on YouTube. John almost sixty percent from last year. And some of the most popular ones yesterday were hyundais the elevator. You may have seen that where the trying to make the point that they've made the car shopping experience better than all of these alternatives like canal duty at cetera cute clever. I was well. I just thought that took a long time to get going. I liked it dilute the payoff was good. But like with all the elevator stops. It seem like where where's this going? Actually, we usually see you have to hook someone early points. But I guess people were chuckling along or empathize be unpleasant situations because it's been number four watch ad on YouTube dot com. What else different different way to go? Reisen? I was the number one ad on YouTube yesterday talking about the first responders and help that they gave to the folks in the NFL who wouldn't otherwise be.
