It's exactly what we're after is to to really give people pause and question again. Thanks through So yeah it's it's it's important to really recognize you know. The first fleet was April of Twenty sixteen. So we're going on season size of the fleet. We were scheduled for April. Eighteenth of twenty. Twenty You know again. We know that guidance. That's being given by the state and that CDC and the help apartments about gatherings and so right now as it stands with with the regulations and restrictions. We wouldn't be able to have the fleet what we know that were weeks away. We've got every prayer out there in the world that we get repre- or lift on Allows us to continue so how we've handled it personally as we've reached out to our vendors internally in those we are with and we ought to public notice on our social media that says right now the way all business structure operates. We don't have to make a decision about cancelation what we will continue to watch the guidance Coming from the state the federal government and this administration and we'll try and work safely within that and will commit on a certain date as we move closer to that April Eighteenth Day. We will let our vendors know whether we're able to proceed or that. We're going to have to postpone so we're GONNA take one month at a time if we need to postpone able and move into may will do so. We'll begin in. May I think we should start thinking of some creative ideas on how we can have the flea on in the outdoors during the winter?.

"Try and get some visibility with the community that we felt was wasn't site enough for this moment and so we decided. How can we best go above and beyond And really show that there are moments. You've gotta cut your money where your mouth is. And this was a little moment to doing that. And so the flea had the means to be able to support culture house coffee. We wanted to just infuse some financial laws into the businesses that we love and so we did a coffee giveaway where we just encourage people. Call ahead do curbs on take a grandma. Kasey created a community cookie with doe houses. Famous chocolate chip cookie. Wanted Families were home together. So be able to just enjoy a moment where we know what cookie can do for us. I mean imagine the as the antidote to all. We just knew that if we could get the community a train chugging again and keep that going this is a moment recognize we could either fight or flight and we are choosing to fight as much as we can for our local businesses to allow them to survive this moment in thrives once we come out of it when I interviewed Andy my husband last week and he mentioned the one thing about this area that he noticed with the business in the entrepreneurs is a grit in our area and how how great it is to see that through. I mean this is what we always tried to figure out the best way to. Mesh our history with their current president in order to have the best future rape and try and trying to figure out that that fine dance. So you're not holding onto the pass at the same time. I would say that this is probably one of those times that maybe it's been beneficial for for the trials and tribulations that that we've been through as a city that we're like this. We have a lot of great stuff going on right now. We're not GonNa let that go and I mean I don't know about you but I've been seen the positively on social media with the mutual aid page and the takeout page of like different different ways that we're trying to come and support each other. I mean I'm seeing like regular people that are baking bread in their house name. Hey you need some Brad. Let me know. I'm baking it for you. You Got West Side Bowl where people are calling the and paying it forward with a pizza so that they can donate that to others. You got you know People making cleaning supply kits and leaving them on their porch for pickup. You know you've got people willing to you know face guards and Support our EMT's and medical and first responders and law enforcement so again if we stop and take a moment a look at what will recognize. This is what community is supposed to look like all the time. Yes sort of in our society. We allow things like celebrations in tragedy. Be The moments that bring us together. What if we stayed together was just didn't disband after this weekend this going with we kept paying it forward and so that's what I think we have to take a look at our past and say our adversities have been there. You know if you think about this country how did we survive the Great Depression locally answer those talk about our president and where our future is headed? I bet you band together a bedsheet. We were resilient bet you. That grit came came out. Betcha neighbor helped neighbor a bench and we didn't turn our backs on another in those moments and so if we resolved to do that constantly and remember that we've been here you know again. I think about that slogan right tough times. They don't last tough cities they do. Tough people those that have committed to fighting instead of the slain That's what I think we need to call upon and that will inform us about the future that we can have for community my fish. That's very true very true so I know that when was the first flea event or I'm sorry experience by the way real quick. I just wanted to say that there are few Derek that I've definitely stolen was it's it's an experience so this is how impactful you are on me. There's that one and the other one is. When are we going to transcend above the collaboration and then become the community?.

So they would try to say, hey, we're here to help everybody as if I was foolish must not trying to help everybody and help yourself. You know. And, and they'll make it like that. Right. And so then after while she found out how she could start a an agency, and so she had done all this work with people in our office, you know, said, who were who ended up being their partners up on them leaving and literally basically took about fifty percent of our people from our our business up in Youngstown. This was last year, obviously, within our drug and alcohol program, and I was like, wow, but it all started from a conflict of interest at all star from like disco horsing of of our people is out of our business. And I've been the, I wanna say the victim because that's the wrong word. The the recipient of somebody basically blurring lines and doing their own thing with our thing and not communicating that this was going on, and but it it taught me a lot in really what I said to at the beginning of this. Is the best thing, right? It really comes down to respect, so people know exactly what they're doing exactly what they're doing. Because if if it wasn't sneaky off, it wasn't underhanded. You could be able to say it on open anything Jeff to say, underhanded way are behind or hide stuff. "Of the st louis cardinals baseball from kaufmann stadium in the city men who was charged with and found guilty of raping a sixteen year old girl so this isn't speculation right this is an allegedly molly krichman was found guilty of raping a sixteen year old girl let that sink in fermented went to trial found guilty and he is now unbelievably a football player at youngstown state university and this can be any university in america and it would be an utter and hold ole disaster and mistake and it would be unacceptable but there are three other things beyond the obvious let's not allow convicted rapists to be football players in our team that make this even more troubling and it gets into why i end at least in the case like joe mix in right seen punching a woman on a video think we should be harsher than we are because when you give people the benefit of the doubt they don't deserve when you give leaders who give lip service to leadership the opportunity to to bring in people who have been convicted of actual crimes they will take it every time the person who is the head of this university the person with whom this ultimately this decision alton timidly rash the president of youngstown state university is none other than jim trestle force out of a house date his own scandal his own cover up his own hypocrisy i can remember when that story broke as a columnist of the time going to columbus and scouring that campus for jim trestle went to his house only person into the door with dog at the window when around town and the ability for people to apologize for what they don't wanna believe is true is prettiest downey and the head football coach who decided it was a good idea the heavy convict convicted rapist on his team is boll pulling this is about this is about second chances this isn't about doing the right thing this is about ambition and people in positions of leadership pollini and trestle included doing anything to reclaim their spot at the top of the football mountain and hoping you don't notice or you don't care balpa leaning whether you think he did well or didn't do well when.
