"Beautiful. Beautiful. It's the best. Can I just say too? I haven't talked too much about Hi-Fi rush. Dude, my kid is playing through the whole thing by himself. It's me, he's loving it. He is just like the cutscenes. He's also learning, it's probably the most sophisticated game I'm talking outside of the rhythm stuff because he's doing the rhythm stuff, but that's the best part of this game is like you don't need to do that. You can still play it and progress. But he's like buying upgrades and he's understanding those mechanics. He's understanding this game, what a surprise, what a surprise blast he is having with it. That's awesome. So sick. So sick. Next email, I believe it was a thing that popped up on the voicemail dump truck 7 O 7. Oh, okay. Were you not on this one? I think I was on this one. Yeah, the road kill yeah. All right. This comes from Cody from York Maine. Dear bomb crew. I like to think of myself as someone who would not eat roadkill, but unfortunately, I can't say that I never have. Back when I was in high school, we were sitting in English class one, and one of my classmates came in with a big bowl of deer jerky he made. He then offers a piece to anyone who wanted to try it. They'll most of the class including my teacher was eating a piece. It was while everyone was enjoying the jerky that another classmate asks if he had shot the deer himself, and he replies, and his reply was. No, I was just driving home from school one day and seen it sitting on the side of the road, so I just threw it in the back of my truck. Thanks for your consistent uplifting entertainment, Cody from York main. Yo, you don't just pick up a deer and throw it in the back of your deer's like 600 pounds, 700 pounds. What are we talking about? There are definitely small smaller ones. And you ran over Bambi, okay? Oh,

He announced the formation of a new company called drug like last year that the FTC said appears to be involved in the drug industry. The White House will not negotiate on raising the debt ceiling. Meanwhile, what are being called extraordinary measures are being taken to keep the country operating. Those steps taken by the treasury secretary essentially by Congress a little bit more time to try and hash out and agreement, but that is only temporary. And right now there is no deal in sight. If Congress does not act to raise the debt limit in the coming months, seniors could stop receiving social security payments. Troops could go unpaid. We could see interest rates spike on everything from mortgage to car, to credit card payments. And we're not talking about money to pay for future projects. Raising the nation's borrowing limit is all about paying for the nation's current bills. It's something that Congress has done over the last 80 years. Democrats and Republicans have worked together to do this. But this time House Republicans say if they agreed to raise the debt limit, then they want the president to agree to spending cuts. The White House firing back saying there should be done with no conditions around it. They insist they're not even willing to negotiate with Republicans. So right now you have this bitter standoff, the U.S. has never defaulted on its debt, but neither side is giving it. ABC's Rachel Scott reporting. "Guys. And I started getting really seasick. Really, really seasick and there's only a crew of two that we set up the toe for and then they have the engineer and the Cox and so we finally find these guys and we had to set up the tone, everything. And my job was to pull out a thousand feet of double braided nylon tow line that's already been drenched in water so it's super heavy. So I'm like pulling it off this reel, the other guy's laying it out on the deck. And I am just like throwing up and pulling this thing out and throwing up and pulling. It was just completely miserable. Oh my gosh, it was terrible. You saved someone but when you're pulling them up, you start throwing up on them like I'm sorry, but I'm just so sorry. Yeah, I know. Well, in those conditions, you barely see the people, but this guy, I swear to God, he looked like captain ahab from what I could see. And he was straddling the front of his sailboat and he's getting tossed in these waves and he's like, yeah. We're just like, oh my God, this guy's freaking insane. So we throw the heaving line over to him. We set up the toe and everything. And then on the way back, we could only go, it took us about three or four hours to even find him. And then, of course, on the way back, we can't even we can't go as fast either because now we have a boat in tow at the thousand feet of tow line out behind us. And so we're only going like two knots maybe on the way home. And all together, the case took about 11 hours. And the whole time I'm just like up on the open bridge, which is about 30 feet and I'm holding on to this railing and my legs are like hanging off the edge of the open bridge and every time we get knocked over, my face was getting dragged in the ocean from 30 feet in the air. So every time my head got dunked into the water, it was just like, so miserable. And unfortunately, my other crew member, he was also a sympathetic puker. So he was getting sick, seeing me getting sick. And then it was just a mess. So sunrise is peeking through the horizon and they're like, sorry guys, but the waves are too big to cross the river bar. You're going to have to stay out there. And at that point, we both were just my hair looked like a bird's nest of just complete disaster and we're just feeling so horrible and they were going to send out another boat to come switch out the crew because we obviously kind of incapacitated at that point and been out there for 11 hours and it was sunrise. So I hadn't slept in 24 hours or so. And then when the boat was coming out to come get us. Guys, we have an exhaust leak in our engine room. We can't come get you. And then they turned around and went away. Yeah. Pretty awesome. This is the worst day ever. It was the worst and at that point, you know, I was really thinking it'd be really nice to be that helicopter pilot who could just come out here in 30 minutes do his job and go. Stay warm. I know that's not really like aviation or it, but that was definitely a time that I was thinking to myself. Oh my gosh, I don't want to do this anymore. That was miserable. Looking back on your whole coast guard experience, do you have any regrets of joining the coast guard or are you glad that you did it? Not necessarily you'd do it again, but you are glad and thankful for the memories and kind of who it made you become. No, no regrets at all. My experience was amazing. It made me who I am. I definitely think that my experience in it made me grow up a lot, obviously I was 17 when I joined and so I was in there for my early 20s. And I'm grateful that I experience the things that I did in my early 20s. It really kind of set the stage for me to have a good work ethic. Also to pay for all of my flight school. So definitely no regrets there. I got all of my helicopter ratings, and I got most of my airplane ratings paid for through the GI Bill. So definitely no regrets there. My work working with illegal immigration was a huge eye opener and an amazing experience to have worked during the time where what foot dry foot with Cuba was still a law in effect. And very, very interesting time to be working that type of job. Well, hey, let's take a break real quick, and then we'll get right back into it. That was some that was pretty cool. I've always liked the coast guard. If I ever joined the military, I always told myself I'd be the coast guard for similar reasons, just like missions like that, I believe in. And I did watch the movie with Ashton Kutcher, and I thought that was really cool and I wanted to go swim and save people's lives, which is really lame. I know, but I thought it was cool. But this is the pie of the pilot podcast, and we are supposed to talk about aviation eventually, so why not 45 minutes into the podcast? You're transitioned out of the coast guard. Are you immediately going to a flight school to get your GI Bill to go play for your pay for your ratings or was it kind of a waiting period and didn't really know what you wanted to do? It was about a year in between the time I got out to the time I went to flight school. I immediately after I got out, I ended up working on the owner of the New Orleans Saints private yacht down in West Palm Beach. It was a Tom Benson? Yep. I worked for mister Benson. Really interesting. He couldn't wrap his head around the fact that I was a mechanic and not a maid. I'm a bedsheet. Mister Ben, you're not going to see me. I'm down in the engineer. I digress. Did that and I worked for, I went to South Africa for a little bit, did some traveling for about three months over there, and when I came back, I ended up getting a job working for a ship contracting company up in York Maine, a company that I ended up meeting when I was in the coast guard who told me if I ever needed mechanic work that I always had a job there. So I ended up doing that working in dry docks on big cargo ships for like, I don't know, maybe four months, which was miserable work, but I made a lot of money doing that. And when I got done with that, I was really thinking like, okay, I need to figure out exactly what I want to do with my life because I can't do this forever. Mad props to blue collar workers who can work in dry docks for 30 year career.

"Back such a great but it's not a first dance wedding song. It's not but you know what it's their wedding and if they wanna sing it then that's their first day it could be anything you want it to be whatever it wants. There might also be a picture of me singing it very loudly while he seeing it said picture. I'm not gonna share. It will come on. it's so bentley do is all the wedding pictures are are. You can't put him out for a week. People has the people next week. And here's what they did not put that out as one for some reason. I didn't make the people story But yes there is. There's also the picture of me talking to ronnie dunn. And he shops shown it to shannon. He's very interested in what i'm saying is asking about the country. Music bracket is that the conversation. I'm telling him a story which i can't share here on the air but i think i told you all off. I told shannon off the air. I'll tell you and he's he's liking this while. I'm a huge fan. I play music nonstop in my house and i. There's not a day that goes by that neon mood is played. At least once. I think brooks and dunn has more songs that make me happy than any country group or singer. They're not my favorite. My favorite is probably johnny cash to white yokum in tyler children's but a lot of their songs are depressing. So i like them but they don't make me happy right. Yeah just for making me happy. I'm not sure that anybody does a better job in brooklyn brooks and dunn they make you feel like a brand new man. We'll think about brand new man. What a great song. That is soon as it hits. Know i thought i mean just i saw your baptize by the what he saw the light. You guys look mom maria. Yeah could song routes you lawsuits lougee lost and found in a border town asking a- diamond ring come on various rucker does not have these kinda hit. Oh let me tell you something. In thirty years people still be walking around singing brooks and dunn songs. They will not be singing. He was taking other people's songs singing and for him. I mean he's a ride. Still thinks that wagon wheel wagon wheels his not. That ain't no way to go. Let me ask you a question. They announced that. Cbs classic is in vegas played. Ohio state in vegas on december eighteenth citing game. Now we gotta decide what is a road trip. We have four options. All are decent option. One new york versus duke option to vegas versus ohio. State option three. Ann arbor michigan option for lawrence kansas versus kansas. I'ma let y'all decide. I'll build a road trip around any one of those four. But you guys have to choose which of those four trips in november two new york december two vegas december to ann arbor february to kansas. Which one do you wanna do. I've already thought about this lot. I'll really wanna see coach k. Lose to kentucky in his last game so that would be my first pick. I think number two is much select. Vegas just we've already done that trip. It's pretty close prisoners york as well. I know i i really liked games in kansas. Have already done it. It's just a different experience. And i'd love to see this team. Kentucky is going to have a team. Kansas are going to have on their home floor. So then maybe. I guess. I'd go vegas three than in even like arbor but that would be my order of new york. One lawrence to vegas. Three in arbor four ryan. What about your going new york. One disappointed like drew said historical factor of coach k.'s. I wanna see lose to coach in kentucky beats coach cal his first game of next year. I think you want to be there to it's too. I've never been to ann arbor. I would probably pick michigan sect. Never been they're not doing their vegas and kansas is a distant fourth from kansas. Is that drive. we've already done. There's just nothing. The the game will be awesome. But the drives very you. And i could just go to kansas and watch the game. That's true if we go to new york though remember that will mean. Going up to the northeast. I mean. we'll probably go to main again. We probably won't go to canada. It's hard to get in and out of there right now. So we'll probably go to new york maine new hampshire vermont. Good for that again. Is there another route. Like coming in from the south. We haven't done one problem with new york. We have to consider is four days before is tennessee at home so we would have to for football. We couldn't miss that so we'd have to. Maybe the the road trip would be on the back end of the game. Yeah that is a good point. We can't miss that game. And what's the. Is there a game after tennessee. Would that be little. No that's even later. Yeah that may mean that. We can't do. But let's we're just trying to get preferences right now. Shannon what would your preference is be. Well i know where. I don't want to go and that would be kansas. So that's dead last okay. I'll probably go third in arbor second number welby new york for me as well. So let me ask you this. If new york ends up being undoable because of dates between vegas and ann arbor.
