He keeps winning slams and we never put him in. I decided to throw them in there. Baby number two Novak Djokovic to the 34 year old Serbian. "Kruger and Brooks begin now. What is shaking Rod Brooks Laich Kruger? Tom told we're with you. We're going to be joined by Kevin I o of Yahoo Sports. Break down their UFC card this past weekend. Molly, the Hall of Famer, number seventeen's enjoying us 4 50 couple series are interesting. MM couple. Over or one is over. Uh and then bags At 5 20 around 5 20. We will talk about the Giants victorious weekend. In the nation's capital problems. What's going on? Yo. Hey, Hey, happy Monday. God I was looking at just like What are the topics today I'm UFC Giants Nationals change Diamondbacks. Nick Mullens major NBA injuries Not to mention the collapse of Christian Eriksen the college World Series Yoka vich U S Open. I mean, there's we are seriously I don't know where to start today, guys, we seriously have a lot of sounds like better Get that wheel greased up A lot of Monday's A lot of Monday choices. Yeah. There you go. How are you going through all that stuff out there? And not mention the fact that Barry Bonds had a dog and the dog show. You know what? I even know that many schnauzer. How do you do any? I don't know how the mini schnauzer did to be honest with you. He didn't. He didn't win, but I think it's like it's it's prestigious just to get a dog into the hoity toity. Westminster Dog Show. If you got one that wins, and it means it's the greatest dog of all time. As long as you get one end you. You you live in pretty good. As far as dogs are concerned, Barry Bonds. What do you win? What's what do you win if you win? You know, I don't know. Snot Sitges for life. I'm like that lifetime supply Help. Oh, yeah. You have your own parking spot at PetSmart exact something like that. Something like that is Apple's still around. It's gotta be right. It thinks so. I said Look at her. I haven't looked at. I could do that. Uh, I haven't looked in the dog ill at these like that part of the pump. Still there. Costco, Costco. I get the Costco dog food. My does that make me that dog owner? No, but do the same thing. Matter of fact. Gotta go back sitting on my porch right now. Get it delivered. Absolutely. Kirkland brand dog food. Let's get this penny likes and even the penny even looks at that dog on the on the on the bag. And, you know, I think Penny's got got feelings, their strong feelings. Wow, you're good. By the way, I saw golden retriever one time in that in that in the Westminster Look nothing like my dogs. I'm like, Maybe I'm doing a lot wrong. They're different. They got retrievers look downright fancy. I'm sure you know You appreciate the fact that you see him on TV, and then she just doesn't measure up. She's just like some regular old dog while you're lusted after other dogs on TV, That's not nice. Penny's got a few extra pennies, packing some extra pounds, and we're concerned, you go pennies chain and your dog, Petty says that says more about you than me. That's good boys. You think she's your point? I'm feeding. Do you think I'm playing myself? You think I'm giving myself bad? We don't give people We don't give her people you'd. We're not giving her people food. And yet she's still a little. You know, she's she's a big girl. She's a big You think I'm grooming myself or not grouping myself. She's saying, Yo, I mean, I can only do so much. Look yourself and you look yourself in the mirror. So you know what I'm saying? You know what Penny's doing Right now? Penny's looking just wistfully at a Barry Bonds baseball card in Larry's house going there. I wish that was my owner. Maybe I'd be in the Westminster Dog Show like miniature snows. Er, Rocky I love the fact that Barry Bonds grace hitter of all time. What one of the more polarizing athletes in the history of American sports. Now that he has done, he's taken up to hobbies that you would never attached to him. Cycling and raising dogs to get into a dog show. If that's not a dude going, what can I do to confuse people even more than I don't know what it is. Damn I mean, I just There, you guess what if you have been unlikable when he played in the Hall of Fame, but right, just like another period of Idomeni schnauzer with him the locker room every like you have to sweet man and put him down. Yeah, nobody's questioning motives of a guy with a dog, exactly, especially when he's sleeping. Specially when he's sleeping in the Barca lounger in the corner of the room. Whatever that was the weirdest back in the day when Barry would sleep in 0102. He'd be in that lounger. He'd be sleeping this, but he was such the story in sports. That there would just be people like hovering around and when he would like, start to wake up, they would kind of start to rustle like something may happen here. I better get my notebook out. As a guy is waking up from a nap. He was something Oh, yeah. You need something? Yeah, Uh, I mean, look, it's a little odd that when he was playing one of the hats he used to wear, he's more likely have a pool party And where now? Because they'll be about two sizes. Too small. Uh, he's a totally day. He's a totally different. Oh, yeah. I think we're on the other side of the body, but, yeah, I get your point. Uh, but still if he did the same thing he did. If he juiced allegedly. I don't even know why I have to say that, but I don't think you but he was still nice. He admitted that he took it. He was still nice. Maybe it's still like this guy. Like people still look at them differently. It's still look at him differently. They'd be like, Yeah, you know, he did it, But then they'd be like, Ah, yes, but everybody did it And who knows? Who else did it And that's okay, Because they look at toe. They look at people differently. Just based on how you treated them and your demeanor, then maybe Barry would baby bear would tell you Look, that's how I was who I was. And that's how I did what I did. I had to be that way to kind of isolate myself and just do what I did. I don't know. All I know is it made a huge difference because he just seems like a dude. You want to go grab a beer with now go cycling could do whatever like he just seems like a totally totally cool dude. Totally at ease with himself loves where he's at in life right now, just digging everything and like Hey, look, you live your own life, but that's a dude that you could definitely get behind a lot easier. Than the dude that played without a doubt you do you get as much as the Bay area loved him. Then they can't even imagine he'd be one of those guys I talked about when I talk about most beloved athletes in the Bay Area. Along with like Lindsey, Command Curry and these guys, and that guy will Clark could probably one of those guys too. But Barry would have been with those guys. He's loved, but I don't know if he's gay. You feel like you can wrap your arms around and it really embraced. But if he was not big copy, and he's not big poppy in Boston. No, that's okay was what he was and you know he's the one that had to deal with it. That's who he wanted to be. But then I mean, he was like you're just looking at me. Somebody's now It's like, Yeah, man. Life's great. He just hanging out me a rocky Apollo's back home and, you know, just hanging schnauzers. I'm like, Damn, She's like Super cool now. We're hang on to things. All he had to do back in the day was just do a commercial. Hi. This is Barry Bonds for pedigree Dog food. That's what I feed my dogs, and you should, too. He'd be in the Hall of Fame. I think that's a dog I Secondly, He's got a dog at home named Apollo. I think he does. I think he said to a black one. And then that one. That's it. You know what? Come on, man. Don't make me like you, Barry. How hilarious is there? One Name? Rocky. One name Apollo. And the Black one. His name. Apollo. Come on, man. We could have been hanging out a long time ago..

That's currently shared by roger federer. Rafa doll in yoka vich or jovic is thirty. Four and has a great chance to surpass his to longtime foes. We spent a lot of time talking about tiger woods. Chasing jack nicklaus and that major but in america. Men's tennis majors aren't a topic. That's because none of the big three are american. And we've invested in serena williams but it's a tricky record to wrap your head around jovic better than pete sampras or rod laver bjorn borg the sport. They played a day as a whole lot different than it was thirty or forty years ago. Health medicine allow these players to compete for a longer period of time and the racket. Certainly help as well. We all know for sure that yokich jovic is an all time player and all time athlete no matter how much we don't talk about tennis and him also to be able to do it. In the era where you have nadal and federer who have one thirty nine majors between them and then you get djokovic. Who i mean. It's pretty incredible that you're able to win. It'd be like if somebody played in the tiger woods era and they one nine majors but they didn't tiger just dominated everybody. These are two of the greatest players of all time. You can make a case that federal is the greatest player of all time but in his era joke a bitch has nineteen grand slams. Having rivals helps didn't feel like pete sampras had rival. they're connors mcenroe bjorn borg yvonne. Lindow you know having that rivalry. That's what you wanna chris. Evert with martina. I don't know if serena's really had arrival but to be able to have. That rivalry makes those victory. Stand down even more and you have nadal. Who's the greatest clay court player of all time. And you dusty moth in four sets federer the to me is still the greatest player the although you can make a case in a different air rod laver was the greatest player of all time. But with what better. And i the the reason why i go back to federer is when i asked pete sampras about this years ago i said what do you think of federer and he said he will attempt shots that i can't even think about like i don't even have that in my imagination and he's he's attempting though shots pulling those off. That says an awful lot about here's sampras. With what sixteen grand slam events looking at roger federer and just the fact that what. He does how he does it. He's doing things that i wouldn't even think of doing is far as a shot there but joe bitches incredible i mean really at. That's it didn't look like he was working up sweat and he always looks like he's he's visiting a country club. He's going into play tennis at the club. Sherzer perfectly starched increases in his his shirt that he was wearing his hair. He doesn't look out of sorts at all whereas the doll did. The doll looked like he played. You know ten sets but a. That's pretty impressive. That's nineteen majors. He's thirty four years of age but to have these three. That's remarkable now. You go back to boxing where you had sugar ray tommy hearns. You had marvelous marvin hagler to win. Titles in that era. Because that's who you had to go through. That's pretty incredible now. They don't face each other's many times as you do in tennis but what joe kebich did yesterday was pretty pretty impressive. Yup oh you're right about jokes..

"Partners, numbering nearly 400 cities around America. Uh, You had, uh, Some tennis yesterday that I I was watching and I was kind of going in and out. You got Yoka vich who, uh, won the French open his 19th major, and that's one shy of the all time record that's currently shared by Roger Federer and Rafa Nadal in Djokovic or Djokovic is 34 has a great chance to surpass his two longtime foes. You know, we spent a lot of time talking about Tiger Woods chasing Jack Nicklaus and that major But in America men's tennis majors are in a topic. That's because none of the big Three are American. And, uh, we've invested in Serena Williams. But it's a tricky record to wrap your head around. Is Djokovic better than Pete Sampras or Rod Laver? Bjorn Borg? The sport they play today is a whole lot different than it was 30 or 40 years ago. Health medicine allow these players to compete for a longer period of time. And, uh, the racket certainly help as well. We all know for sure that, uh Djokovic or Djokovic is an all time player and all time athlete, no matter how much we do or don't talk about tennis and him Also to be able to do it in the era where you have Nadal and Federer, who have won 39 majors between them. And then you get Uh, Djokovic, who I mean it's pretty incredible that you're able to win it be like if somebody played in the Tiger Woods era, and they won. Nine majors. But they didn't because Tiger just dominated everybody. These are two of the greatest players of all time. You can make a case that Federer is the greatest player of all time, but in his era Djokovic. Has 19 Grand slams. Having rivals helps Didn't feel like Pete Sampras had a rival Their Connors, McEnroe, Bjorn Borg, Yvonne Lindo. Having that rivalry. That's what you want. Chris Everett with Martina I don't know if Serena's really had arrival, but to be able to have that rivalry makes those victory stand out even more. And you have Nadal, who is the greatest clay court player of all time. And you dust him off in four sets. Federer, uh, to me is still the greatest player. Although you can make a case in a different era, Rod Laver was the greatest player of all time. But with what Federer and I the reason why I go back to Federer is when I asked Pete Sampras about this years ago. I said, you know, what do you think of Federer and he said he will attempt shots that I can't even think about like. I don't even have that in my imagination, And he's He's attempting those shots and pulling those off. That says an awful lot about you know, here's Sampras with what 16 Grand Slam events looking at Roger Federer and just the fact that what he does how he does it. He's doing things that I wouldn't even think of doing as far as shot there. But, uh Djokovic is incredible. I mean, really at that. It didn't look like he was working up a sweat, and he always looks like he's he's visiting a country club. He's going into play tennis at the club. You know his short, sir, perfectly starched increases in his his shirt that he was wearing his hair. He he doesn't look out of swords at all. Where is the doll did The doll looked like he had played, You know, 10 sets But that's pretty impressive. That's 19 majors. He's 34 years of age. But to have these three That's remarkable. Now you go back to boxing where you had sugar Ray Tommy Hearns. You had marvelous Marvin Hagler like to win titles in that era, because that's who you had to go through. That's pretty incredible. Now. They don't face each other as many times as you do in tennis. But what? Uh Djokovic did yesterday was pretty, uh, pretty impressive. Yeah, You're right about Djokovic. She doesn't seem to be a big sweater and remember early his career he wore. He went up top button He used to have, like the Polo shirt. He Yeah, he was so, uh, composed. He would go top button like I don't even need to unbutton twice to get you take it out. Look, I'm looking at pictures of him. He looks like he's it's the fifth set. He looks He's just starting the match. Don't make me unbutton this next button. I don't want to do that to you know time, Yes, McLovin. So I think this is appropriate impossible to great athlete like if we put a pole as he overrated, underrated, properly rated or impossible to rate because if he passed his Federer in the major records Do we have to say he's better than Federer or And you said You said you can't compare Murad labor. I don't I think he's impossible to rate. Yes, I think I would say Federer is still the best player that I've seen on all the surfaces, his athleticism. But Nadal fascinates me. Probably more one dimensional with with clay and that that's what stood out even more is That he lost on clay. He doesn't lose on clay. And the fact that Djokovic was able to beat him in four sets was was really remarkable and build a bitch was down two sets yesterday. So you down 02. And then all of a sudden it's like, um, Yeah, alright. Gave the crowd you know, it's almost like when a Floyd Mayweather carried one of the Paul brothers like you're just like, Yeah. All right. I think it's time to end this now we're done. And he just went boom boom boom, And that was it. All right..

"Excuse me, 10 38 in the mile High city. I'm in for Dave. But Rick and Cathy used to be here back in the day for about six teen years. I still finally call Keohane NewsRadio, the 50,000 wild blowtorch Because at night you can pick K away up in 38 states and when I used to work at night before Rick Barber Um, I have people from all over the country, calling the blow tortured a lot going on. We've been talking about a lot of things. Nuggets tip off tonight. Game one round two versus the Phoenix Suns. They're huge underdogs, but I truly believe the Denver Nuggets have the chemistry. And they have the best player in the NBA, and I think they're going to beat the Phoenix Suns. The Avalanche left town up to zip in the second round against the Las Vegas nights. They promptly lost both Friday and last night they got beat 51. They come back home tomorrow. To play a game five in front of 10,500 fans at the new ball or the newly named ball arena Nuggets will be here I believe on Friday, and they will be able to playing in front of a full crowd, but because of ticket commitments or The layout. Whatever the Avalanche can only have 10,500 people at the game. But you better make a lot of noise, because, um Yesterday, the largest crowd to attend an NHL game 18,000 plus We're screaming and yelling in Vegas and coach Bednar said. It was loud and there's a lot of lot of noise in that building. We need to match that intensity and caused This eruption Mandy Connell is out this week, but Mike Rosen will be in for her at noon today. One at tennis note, while three quick tennis note. Serena Williams got beat yesterday. She'll be 40 in September. She hasn't won since the Australian Open, hasn't won a major since the Australian Open. I believe it was 2000 and 17 Roger Federer, who just Turned, 40 withdrew from the French Open as he wants to be 100% healthy and ready for Wimbledon. Novak Djokovic lost the first set, 76 lost the second set. 76 then promptly 1616 love and his opponent, Lorenzo Musa, said he retired being down four zip. And, uh, Yoka vich comes back from being down to love to win three straight. Um So that was interesting. This news just in the Ravens have signed Jawan James to a $9 million deal despite former Broncos tackle Tackles torn Achilles. That's per CBS. So interesting story there Jawan James gets a $9 Million deal from the Baltimore Ravens. Yeah, Couple of peace of pieces of info on that deal. Baltimore is going to pay James 500,000 guaranteed to rehabilitate this year. And then have him for eight million. Um and 2022. Wow. Interesting. So Juwann James still getting paid? Plus he soon the Broncos. I mean good for him. Good for him. I appreciate played under 70 snaps for the Broncos, right and they paid them How much 50 I'm not sure how much they ended up having to pay him but was always a lot. I think the contract was for 50. But they're holding out. You know, 15 of it. But anyway, still a lot of money for Juwann James. But, um, and one more thing on the French Open because you know Raphael Nadol on the men's side. He's won every French Open but to Since 2000 and five so lots going on in the sports world and yesterday at the CONCACAF Nations League final, the inaugural match Championship between the United States and Mexico. Right here at Empower field, it was marred by the unruly fan behavior that included objects thrown on the field and a brief pause in the game. Due to fans using an anti gay chant. And I guess they used it a lot in Mexico and they were using it. The game was, uh, one by the U. S 32. So, um, I don't know exactly what the anti gay chant was, but they've been using it the Mexican fans for a long time. And when the U. S scored to go up, 32, I guess they Obliterated them with bottles and all kinds of objects and then were chanting Anti gay, um, chance, and Ethan Horvath, who was from Highlands Ranch, right, made the save that basically saved the win for the United States. So that was pretty cool. Had the Denver connection? Yeah, And you know, I'm not sure they they have all these matches and then they have the regular play. I mean, so Not that I'm not that I never said I was. The smartest guy in the room gets a little confusing with these different matches and friendlies and and that sort of thing, But I know the soccer community really supported the Con con calf conquer Cath CONCACAF. That's right. Um, anyway, the CONCACAF Nations League final, which was the which was the inaugural one between the U. S and U. S and Mexico play in the finals. All right now for that Tony Granados going to join us at 11 35 as he heads back out of town. Hopefully we will be able to catch up with him. I've been telling you about my Colorado professional athlete Mount Rushmore because we've been talking about Mount Rushmore. I gave facts on Mount Rushmore. It's 80 years old. This year. It's got for presidents on it. It took 14 years to put up but really 8.5 of those years. Were basically because they ran out of money and they were trying to, uh, beat the weather. So it was only about six years of actual carving our families going to head up there for the first time and check that out. So I put together a Colorado professional athlete. Mount Rushmore, John Elway, Joe Sakic, Todd Helton, Nicolai Yokich, Nicola Yokich and Got some come. Some backlash about Shannon Sharpe should beyond their, um, Roy Halladay. So there were Dave Logan that the thing is Dave Logan never played professional sports in Colorado. And so that's why I did not put him on. Now we could have a whole different one of Colorado athletes, and that would Include Chancy and Dave Logan. People born in Colorado. Roy Halladay would be on there, but I didn't go there on this one. The other Mount Rushmore I put together was professional athletes alive and ones that are not alive. Tom Brady, Michael Jordan, Wayne Gretzky, Willie Mace. Those were my top four than the ones who are not a life currently not alive. Well, I guess if you're currently not alive, you're not going to be alive again later. All right, so Um That was kind of a joke. But when you're by yourself in the studio, you don't really hear people laughing. So you didn't know it was funny, but I thought it was so the ones not alive. Babe Ruth, Gordie Howe, Walter Payton and Mohammed Ali. So I want to Now give you my Mount Rushmore. Of rock n roll bands. My Mount Rushmore of rock and roll bands..

"Back jason feedback part guy kinda remind me everybody what this podcast is going to be about it's just about kobe bryant when he's passed away as reminder from a helicopter crash early morning january twenty six twenty twenty at the age of forty one his daughter also on the plane jonah pass away it at thirteen and as soon as i heard this news and had been prepping for this with other the NBA headlines i just i couldn't i couldn't talk about anything else because he's not just a basque why on i and he's he's a global icon i t's it in the last segment he hit a lot of international love as well in the league now there's every one out of four four players in the league right now is a foreign player and in the NBA a lot of them were inspired by kobe and the reason wise because he's just a global icon and he's revered in china one of the most sought after athletes elites in china they loved him there they loved him there and you know with him passing away when with him passing away when he did china will wake up the next morning probably to that news they were asleep during the time so i can't imagine what that communities feeling just because i know so how much they had appreciate him as an athlete but it all kind of started with the one thousand nine hundred dream team in terms of international tom dominance and and respect throughout the world a basketball and an american basketball and because kobe came around and just four years later later he came into the league he all of a sudden became this face of just global popularity once the dream team put america on that he's the one that really pushed the agenda and i think it also helps with the fact that he had an ability to speak different languages we knew for facts he could speak to who definitely an italian english because he grew up in italy huckabee to that logo later english obviously has first language but he can make his way around around with spanish to have seen him engage in conversations in spanish and kind of just it's it sounds like he's fluent he spoke to how he only knows those two languages but he can he can speak spanish pretty much fluently and dashes incredible and he also said that he was trying china learn mandarin which i think is even even greater because it just shows that he just wants to continue getting great in every facet of life he was a person that i was curious highly intelligent and wanted to be great in more ways than one and for him to want to speak for different languages i i think it's just a testament to who he is person and so because of all these things become becoming the global face of the NBA and having all these languages it really just he had a lot of love just all over the world whether it was in the NBA the old NBA vets around the league whether it's athletes from across the entire globe and baseball and tennis and soccer etc like he he touched so many lives even outside the sport speaking of which she was friends too many ten years and he actually wrote a children's book about tennis in two dozen nineteen which i think even crazier to add that to his resume as well but they're just an outpouring of support on the global stage on other sports says well antennas specifically nidal yoka vich maria sharapova cocoa gov and many more expressed their our deepest condolences obviously to his wife and his family and just thanking him for his greatness i actually didn't know this but jovic said that kobe was one of his mentors at one point that during a lot of injuries that you could joke of his head he kind of struggled a lot mentally and emotionally nationally because he was dropping off from the the the rankings and was really struggling with the fact that he had to get back up to the top again at one point and it was actually kobe bryant who was there to help him and pushed them in the right mindset and just have his back in terms of his him getting back to the top and and so jokes you know obviously appreciative that appreciated him as an athlete and you never you never would have thought of that because you you know even though athletes of seeking communicate within themselves but he was such a big star that it touched so many other stars as well tiger woods is another great example he found out at the very end of his his golf game fans were saying do for mamba do from and he didn't even know why why they were saying that and then once he got off the eighteen green told them in five minutes later they got him in front of a camera and he was he was shocked he he was so heartbroken and it just speaks to how big of a global star he was even in the soccer fields vote ESPN FC which is just purely talking about soccer had a whole segment talking about kobe bryant and his impact it's in the international game of soccer because he meant a lot to sock community and just a bunch of different clubs as well neymar who's one of the most hailed stars in the entire world if you don't follow soccer he's a giant star at his g. right now he's scored a goal today and he he flashed up between four and for a star like neymar brazilian playing in a french league playing soccer for him to flash a twenty four and show appreciation to a star in the NBA or that wasn't the NBA is just it's incredible i think all the american basketball stars that are kind of involved with soccer kobe was the most prominent the most consistent and most appreciated bike clubs all across is europe i recently saw that jaanus was paired up with killing imbaba who is another great star for PS g. and thinking that it's so cool when you know sports can collide like that in stars can meet like that and have impact on each other like lionel messi in steph curry a couple chicago exchanged jerseys in an autographs and i thought that was just so cool and kobe bryant was one of those players that did that a lot and i think think a lot of it has to do with the fact that he had roots down in europe roots in italy especially he moved there when he was six lived there till he was thirteen because his dad joe bryant it was playing for several teams over there but he ended up coming back for high school but during that time he just found a love for soccer and italy as whole he loves the team lawn they actually ended up tweeting him for the passing and they said quote we have no words to express how shocked to hear hear of the tragic passing of one of the greatest sportsman of all time and russ darrow fan kobe bryant all our thoughts are with the families of those affected by this tragic the accident you will forever be missed and yeah that's an entire club one of the big clubs in europe in history of you're speaking to his greatness in appreciating him and there are other clubs as well that did this i mean barscelona barcelona as well one of the big clubs in the world players like andre a pillow for not plugged in soccer these are some of the biggest names in the world karama lula kaku jesse lingered player on on manchester united there's just so many people that cared about him across across europe and in the soccer world and he's a basketball player is just insane to me but yeah he like i said he knew italian very well spoke the language even during the NBA lockout in two thousand eleven he almost joined virtuous blogging bologna in italy and i think that would have been massive because people people love him over there and to have that kind of international love is it just speaks to how great he is and it just speaks speaks to his legacy and speaking of his legacy we'll talk more about just what made kobe bryant as great as he is right after this check out the show it's built on the from two UFC two extreme cage biting they got the fight covered check out the.

I'm not sure and that's that's I think when you combine the D. J. and you'll get Jovic. I'm not sure all I know is he won. Beat veteran five set tiebreaker. Now is as good as any tennis. I've seen in a long long time open championship northern an Ireland you know when we had all those problems in Northern Ireland for decades they used to call it the troubles in Northern Ireland the troubles it's a polite way or the softer way of saying you know that you had all that violence in Northern Ireland and the work that they had to do in the last couple of decades to try to get a major sporting event in Northern Ireland. This is a big deal. This is this is sports and politics six and I mean there's so much there you know in political terrorism and to get the world to see Northern Ireland in a different light and that's what they've been able to do to get the British open the open championship to Northern Ireland but it took decades for people to look at Northern Ireland is a place you might I've never been to Northern Ireland and I'm I was always fearful of going to Northern Ireland and I've been to Ireland quite a few times they look the only other time I ever thought about going there was watching the senior open championship for Northern Ireland and it looked spectacular look beautiful and which is strange that you're thinking oh well. That's just a pristine Christine Golf course in a beautiful part of the country in there's still a lot of issues in social unrest there but rory mcilroy is from there David Faculties from there and but it took a long time for era them to overcome the troubles in that's what you have the open championship at Royal portrush coming up this week already say good morning to our radio and T._v.. "Welcome to the mad trio podcast this week. We have the California pariah, Jonathan Charney James. The fact man, Stephen, and Ryan, no watch, no fun, Preston. So this week make fun without the contact. So there is something I found that I'm actually totally in alien star. Michael biehn. B. I E, H N to reprise his role as Hicks for the aliens, three audio drama. So certainly, one of these classic scifi movies of all time, but and true worthy sequel to the original alien world have been subsequent sequels after millions writer William Gibson's alien three script. Never made it to the screen. This is why super jazz this the one that was to be involved with the shitty. No, okay. No. You're talking about Prometheus. Yes. No. Let's be like spin off this. This is the second Lian. This is which is the second of the regional trilogy. So which I didn't realize William Gibson, who's a famous author. Apparently wrote an alien three script, which I didn't know. And I'm totally and this is brought to you by audible dot com. So I'm totally wanna see it, by the way. I hope they make the premier Theus because the original premier Theus scrip was going to be amazing. And then you got the basil whole came out. Yeah. So what do you think Ryan? I forget, like Michael Biehn so, yeah, no, I and and I like the franchise so yeah, that's, that's one making the keep going with stars onto. Oh, excuse me. Oh, this is even more bad ass. This terrifying cinematic multi Castorama drums, ation directed by multi-award-winning Dirk MAG. M. A. G G, MAGS MAGS this even cooler. So it's gonna be. An actual audio drama, syllabi multi cast members one of the. Burton to come back. You know, there there's audio books that I've that I've listened to then actually have like a full cap production. Until You. you fucking pad that it doesn't actually say, just recognize logos. So one of the best audio drama says radio plays that I've ever listened to the BBC released one of Lord of the rings. When I got it for Christmas when fellowship the rings came out, but it's amazingly weld on. It's actually one of the better ones I've ever heard on. I'm a huge audio book enthusiast and stuff like that. I'm heavily into. Right now, I'm looking into Neil Gaiman book called good omens. It's awesome. I, I wanna subscribe to audible again. The only issue is just like it's either get rid of like from crunchy roll, or audible in the sake right now, I've literally been waiting for their not to be one anime into and so far that hasn't happened the last year and a half. I've had it. So. But yeah, there's, I'm going to have to buy this when it comes out, because it's it reads like it's going to be amazing. And I'm fucking love aliens. It's. It's one of my favorite universes. Granted I didn't like the third one but I liked it a hell of a lot better than I love. Burmese ius. Have you seen the second one? No. Hey. Have you seen the second one? And. After the first one I was done with the permit Theus. I kinda wanna see it, but I don't have the free enough to the free time enough to burn couple hours long is the single in like two and a half or three. I you know that's a damn good question. I'm assuming it's it's probably two and a half because there's not a lot of movies these days that are three like two hours. I mean wondering. I don't remember do you remember what is it called premier Theus because I swear, there was a second one that came it wasn't called Bermudian something out was covenant no. I don't remember. This has a Masumi this is because it has Matthew Michael fast bender Catherine Watson. Ailing company in your. Was just over two hours. Yeah. So it's about average nowadays, the funniest thing about that is seems like movies are getting longer, because when we were kids, the stand movie seemed to be an hour and a half like ninety six point four metacritic sixty five percent, rotten tomatoes, sixty five percent. That's harsh seventy eight percent on the Google users liked it. Oh my God. So here's so where no idiot has gone before apart from apart from in Prometheus, of course, aliens paradise lost, and a cinema. No one can hear you cringe and these are the titles of their views, not just disappointed. I am angry. Worst alien movie, and insult to its fans, insulting piece of the accuracy, you cancelled blank cups aliens five for this, by the way. That's the one I wanna see the, the original script for Theus was supposed to be absolutely bad ass. And you can actually find it online. Oh, ellian. Meet annoying Android with daddy issues. All the crap this gave it. A seven out of ten utterly heartbroken by this disastrous monstrosity. Why the fuck did you give it a seven editor? So Ryan, you gotta read the reviews on the thick and one on Elian. Covenant there, absolutely hilarious. And this is pretty banged cast to does. Matthew fast bender Catherine Waterson. Billy crowd up. Oh this Billy crop. How do you not know Billy caught up from on non just seeing if I'm saying the number man in walkman? Yeah. I know who he was. I don't know if I'm saying the name right giving Jonah. Bother about paying Billy chronic writing fucking light. Billy Matthew fat Fender. Close enough. This is. Twin brother just completely used to John screwing up all the name? So I just it's like okay yeah Don, I don't know who that is. Can you pronounce it properly? I've given up. I corrected myself. So look it I'm db when he's looking at it just to see who they are be like, oh, that I correct myself, so. Go blow a goat. I mean, he can barely even say Adam Sandler, right? Who take we have to like him. I I'm Jim Carey's coming back in movies, again. Did you see that, by the way in the stupidest fucking movie? Now, I'm just like, why would you pick that rule? Why do you need a sonic, the hedgehog movie? Well, he's over been doing the series of unfortunate events. Right. None of that was, you know, he was in that. And then he kind of did the series with them. No. He wasn't in the serious. That was the that was. Doogie. Doogie howser. Yeah. He did. He ever areas where the my. Yeah. And they were using the wrong background. When I saw the thing, 'cause I it was Jim Carrey when I looked at the well, he might he might have been in some of it. But as far as. Movie. On net fucking fantastic. But it's something I'm really into for a long term. It's just kinda like one of those that will visit it and then move on. And then visited again type thing you know fuck, how did this movie bomb this Elliott? Covenant literally hesitant, Mason cast what the fuck. It's the writing. Come on. How many movies have you seen it amazing cast of being good? If they're trying to money at the problem, you know what it really means. No-one no-one goes out to make a pass movie. But froma a lot of things can go wrong learning with a parable scripts, and but really what it really means. The fact that they couldn't hire good actors to fix the script because usually what happens, you have a bad script. You hire mazing actors amazing actors make up the fact that the ship movie or that just show a lot of tits, but it never does make up for that really doesn't. No, not at all. I mean, I've seen lots of movies. You guys got to stop talking. Wanna talk over him as much as I want. Hey oh, he stopped? Ryan, are you interested in the new? Hell boy. Now, I actually am. Yeah, this is like the different. I don't really like the, the look of David harbor, but that actually doesn't bother me as much as the fact, yum, gear not on this movie. I'm that bugs me the shot. I mean, there could totally be shift, but it's not like I'm gonna go out. I've seen it a hell we'll help. Looks like he has a heroin problem. He does. Have you have you looked at his life? Anyways up. I'm actually kind of on the fence on. It's not like I'm gonna go to theaters to see it. But the one of those all check it out, when it ends up on Netflix or. A prime. Ooh. This has another minus Mark on it meal joke of. Yoka vich thaw. Oh. In mcshane's in it. Yeah. Doing the dead wood movie, right? You said it last week. Said I remember. I'm sorry meal. I used to really like her, but since pretty much every role she's had. Since resident evil has been the same plucking character, almost literally, I it gets. I don't really like her all that much. But. Beacon of heroin. Addicts we got one more. Have you seen the new Dumbo movie any of, you know? This is what I want to know. And if anybody sees it. Brose. That's what I wanna know. So if anybody out there sees it, would you let me know because it is on one of my, the movies toe to watch list. But I it will be years before actually get a chance to see the feathers. How can you not have the crows? Well, that's what I'm kind of wondering if they do it, like, for example, Disney, basically said, remember correctly on when it comes out November the Disney. Plus ariss. They'll be the edited versions of it. I think did we discuss this? No. Because so I think we did, but basically, to recap my whole thing, but movies, as a fact, I'm a very purist. Not only to the regional source but to the spirit and the art form of the movie, I don't like edited movies, because it's not what the original director, wanted, and minus George Lucas, which generally have issues with, I don't like movies being edited, or if you edit it, I want the original one being available, the best way to show is nineteen sixties, Johnny quest. There's an episode on their when their jungle, he calls these people savages, not politically appropriate now but it's, it's in the original source material, I think, in ordered to pay respect to the artists and original vision of the movie TV show. I think it should be just always been a very purist. When it comes to stuff like that. And so, because the black Crowes apparently a stereotype, which, by the way, they could be actually have no idea. They're not going to be in it, but it's my as a kid that was my favorite scene. Yeah. I I'm just like I'm wondering how you can get rid of that, because that's key to the story. They given the feather making him believe that he can do something. And then he finds that they can do without the, the placebo type thing. I'm assuming that just don't have the, the kind of singing and dancing bit. Maybe I don't know. That's why I want to know how they do it because I'm curious in how they changed the story. Really wouldn't make a difference who gave it to him or anything like that. I mean I lived I agree that, that you'd be able to find the you know regional stuff and you can, you know, might be at a premium pot, but I also get the Disney was wants to sort of read conned they're, they're really dicing history when it comes to that shit because they do rerelease saying, you know, throw him in moratorium for a long time. And then ten your later, they re release it, you know, maybe with the bonus seizures. And when you're reselling, stop to next generation do have to really keep in mind, how things have changed. Oh, wait. It's like we're just making this available to the adults who wanted to buy it. But no, they're actively marketing it and things like that. So I mean, I, I, I, I understand the fact that Disney because Disney doesn't take risks at this point in time. Disney so big any big risk could affect them, majorly. I I understand that. I've understand politically, not politically correctness and even racism wise. Disney doesn't have the greatest track record. That being said. Personally and this is my personal opinion. I think it behooves them to have the original source material available for for a couple reasons. One. Why would you stated but the other things if you take a look at like Disney songs, and south's? No wait. The seven dwarves whatever they did. It's a reflection of history of where the United States was where the world was the time all movies or reflection of the period. They were created in now. You can disagree with me. But I'm.

"This is perfect Florida. Ten all-star starters are free agents offseason, so lebrons. Basically just make an move for next year. He's going Colli Leonard just bought a massive house in southern California. That's a notable edge. Jr. I totally agree with Sarah this. That's gotta be your obvious choice. And then the Greek freak then goes for car-o-van sticks it in his face Lashley, quite Leonard houses, San Diego. It's about two and a half hours from LA. So that's not appropriate taking rants rant. He wants to get the rant to play with him. Next year. Durant is worried about playing Ron say, hey, we can play together take into rose five from the west. It's Steph, and it's Durant, and it's hard, and and it's LeBron and it's Paul George. It might be the the best. Well, say five just since the dream team. It's the best floor at least not not making any judgment who's that fifth one since the. I think we thank you. Woody. Well, move on Australian Open so sock and critical and Jovovich. And the Dow joke which doll seven-time any grand slam final, and they come in landing start on that side. Woody who do you think has the advantage? I think it's Vic I mean, he's won six times air their courses for horses. And there are courts for these players the dollar if they were playing in Paris. I would give him the when you got a guy with an opportunity to win seven and has just breezed through the entire tournament. Well rested. Really? I'm going to go with him. I never understood the expression courses for horses. I'm sure it makes sense. I just don't know what it is. It's funny. These may Connie Sarah Spain about you. Not just that he's won at six times. He's six zero in the finals. He's never lost it in the finals at rod labor. But he hasn't been passed the semis. A while. So this is a chance for him to reinvigorate reaffirm himself as as a great player there. I think he's got the edge because of that. Whereas we've seen it all and they went at once. I was going to say the exact same thing. I mean, look the guy's confident in that place. And he's just playing better tennis at this point. I like the way this sort of is shaking out a little bit though, we got all the young guys in there who made a little bit of noise. And that we finally get the match up in the finals that we won't this should be a fun Bill plash. It's the metro the doll wants the doll has has has the edge over over Yoka vich in both major finals and just majors in general the doll second. Most majors overall has won the doll is better in this situation than Djokovic taking the lady side Clinton. I to you last time we saw a stock at a grand slam final with the last grants. Vials all that emotion and overall unsatisfying results from her end from everybody's honestly, but what would a win here do pro socket for women's tennis would take her to be. I think it would do lot for tennis. But most typically do a lot for Dhaka after that situation that unfolded with Serena was sort of in very awkward scenario. Nobody really wanted to not not give her the credit, but she didn't really move up into the ranks of fame and so forth as she could have this problem legitimizes are a little bit more, which is unfair most likely, but I think it really will do more for her persona never mind women's. Yeah. I mean, I completely agree. She wants to get a win that isn't marred by the drama surrounding whether or not there was a fairness issue at play, but really quick for. She went through so much with that home invasion having to rehab her hands. She hasn't lost a set all tournament..
