The Music of World Showcase in EPCOT
"If i say the music of epcot what's the first song that comes to mind. Probably something from future world and as we covered extensively back on show six nine six ten future world has background scores and attraction and so show themes that not only. I think resonate with us but are enjoyed by us beyond just our time in the parks. They are on our playlists and in our ears when we drive run exercise. I'm obviously like reaching and assuming those last two or whether we're just relaxing at home but why which is my favorite word. And i think it's probably because so. Many of these songs were created by disney for disney they are original themes built around the theme using the time-tested recipe of what makes disney music so memorable but for the other half of the world. Showcase much of the music is not only traditional but helps to set the stage and represents the culture of the participating nation. And these aren't songs. I think that we would normally associate with a theme park experience. Either that is like if we're talking about walt disney world But some of my favorite songs. That dizzy songs are found in many of these background. Loops of not just future world. But some of these world showcase pavilions and they always seem to bring a smile to my face as they hear them. Whenever or wherever i am and i said on the intro to the epcot show that that the music is very much a melting pot of so many cultures ideas ideals technology and different flavors. And it's a place that you can hear music that is as diverse as the pavilions and cultures and speaking of diverse. I want to continue our musical journey from future world to world showcase once again with friends who helped kick off this musical odyssey so i'd like to welcome back to the show. Lisa denote glasner from the castle. Run and core memory candles dot com to be back. Jason connect from here with the magic and the after our show on the facebooks. Hello it's good to be back with you guys and the one and only zac brown from the one and only the zac brown show. Everybody excited to be here. So i am excited for this. And i'm curious to one because i want to see if hopefully we can beat or not break record long. Our future world discussion was. But i think and i'm curious because we don't talk about this ahead of time how this may differ. Because i think again so many of those future world songs and themes are ones that we can mention by name. Papillon came up again. I think exactly you know if it was a drinking game and papillon was your word. You're in some serious trouble but so much of world showcases different because one. We can't pronounce many of the names the songs they don't necessarily roll off the tongue and they're not one that we might necessarily know by name but we know in terms of how they make us feel and they are there are some pavilions that have themes or some that. Just have background music that we enjoy very quickly. When and they'll round in the same order. When you think of world showcase when you think of world showcase music what is the first song idea pavilion. Thought that comes into your mind for me. I remember when we sat down to do or when was sitting down to prep for the future world. Show i joked that. I've never felt so prepared and so unprepared at the same time for a topic because it was like it was a topic. That's just sort of ingrained in my soul but at the same time i didn't know quite how i was going to articulate it and This show said hold by juice because like the rest of disney right is supposed to sort of insulate you from the rest of the world and i think the unique thing about showcases that it has the opposite job. It's supposed to transport you into the rest of the world. And so while you know so much of the music throughout disneyworld otherwise as supposed to sort of encapsulate you and bring you into this place. You know. the imaginary kind of didn't do their job right right if they did. If that's the result of in world showcase because the point of showcases to make you feel like you're not in central florida. It's supposed to make you feel like you're traveling around the world. As you're walking around world showcase so i don't know if i have a quick good answer to like what song first comes to mind. it i mean i could say something. Easy like golden dream of course. Which is you know sure. We'll talk about that more But now i think it's it's like background stuff. Like le vian rose and like the stuff that green and like that. The the the music that i just associate. Because i'm here. So much with walking around world showcase but at the same time you know like you said in the intro. It's not necessarily music that you're supposed to associate with a theme park. Don't you have a green sleeve. The greens leave story to which will have to get to. Because i remembered crossing the bridge an international gateway with you and i said isn't the screen sleeves using it yet and then you told me a story from your childhood is i am. I am right. I mean who doesn't have a green sleeve story like there's a green sleeve story and i want to don't jump ahead of ourselves but that really from my childhood i whistle. Inslee leaves all the time and it makes my mother crazy. Maybe i was just hoping it was from your childhood. Okay i i mean to answer the question. What's the first song pavilion jumps to mind. It's gotta be mexico and it's got to be the three cobb heroes right like that's got to be no actually. It's not that i think. The the for me world showcase had an anthem and no it can't be eliminations but it had an anthem. It would be basically the soundtrack to impress his france. Of course which. I am super excited about francine far away i know he s- t and wonderful. We'll get there For me it's kind of an unfair answer. I think about the international gateway. It's kind of this. Great little collaboration of everything that you're going to experience it's kind of the coming attractions. You know like lisa said you've got le vian rose and you've got a little bit of music piping in from like the china pavilion and everything just kind of blends and it just sets the overall tone and of prepares you for the pallet. That is in front of you whether it be musical or food you kind of preps you and gets you in the mindset that is world showcase and for me you know if i was to close my eyes and just say world showcases a couple of songs that jumped right to the top but one of them and this is actually a great way for us to begin. I think is. There is a world showcase background loop and being disney enthusiasts that you are. I'm pretty sure. It exists on your iphone or ipod your spotify playlist because this is one of the ones that i think people do have an play when their home or even in their cars or when they're working or walking or just relaxing and while you might not necessarily know the names of the songs if you were to listen through it and serbia following along this. This item list of the music yelich like. Yes inca dance by cousteau. That's my favorite song. Although you wouldn't walk into sam goody's not that there's a sam goodies but go with me here. You wouldn't walk in goodies and say i need incan dance on forty five guys have that. But i love the world showcase loop that you can hear on both entrances to where you could. We'll talk about some of the changes that came about relatively recently but those are some of the songs that i hear that like the future world entrance mentally
Interview With Ilya Gelfenbeyn
"Yulia gif bain. Welcome to the voice. Podcast hey breath how are you. I've really i'm really good. It's great to finally get on the bike. We've been talking about this for at least two months. So i'm happy that we're able to arrange the the funny thing is in the interim we seem to have spent a lot of time on clubhouse together so maybe we could have just done this year like two weeks ago. Yeah yeah spending a lotta time there all right so i think there's a there's a lot of story to be told here because you've you've been in the industry for a while but i think there's an interesting i that i wanted to start with. I wanna talk about speak to it. Maybe maybe your journey in voice day. I started before that. Because i i know that you study computational linguistics as an undergraduate but what i draw you to the idea of of using speech technology and actually building an assistant. Yeah so i would say like initially it was not about speech was about like chat bots and chat right so i started to work on some like chat bots dick like question answering systems back university as you mentioned yelich. All i was doing the computational linguistics relatively randomly so i was like interested in an internship in it company and the a guy who was like my manager there. He was a computational linguists so He had some interesting like thanks for us to do to research. Soviet play with chad bots. So i remember. I think like i published my first article question answering systems back in two thousand towards southern three and then later maybe in two thousand seven i was also working on the project related to chat bots. We created a platform where users could create their own chat bots like mostly for fun Trades they're like our cars teach them to Like teach them different things And then place them to like blogs Social networks websites and see how they shot to like their friends read logs and and Correct them so and later Like when the star to speak to There was this kind of state where got relatively good quality of speech recognition. Then mostly available. Either roy door or some commercial solutions like like from nuance. You've got a mobile devices that our full enough and Kevin good interfaces such as like iphones and androids and There was like this tendency of Api's of like web services so mehan co-founders. We basically thought that if we combine all of this right open api is and and smartphones and voice. We could get A voice personal assistant. That will understand what you are asking about support station and then like connect to a those. Api's and get an answer for you or like have an action Down for you. So this is how this idea of speak to appeared and what year the little. Yeah the end of two thousand ten and to ten okay. So that's around the same time that the siri app. I came out and ios correct. Yes yes yes frankly. We didn't know about siri when we started to sing about the same main difference was that we started with. Hr bought right so we'll just because of our experience chat bots before idea was that won't i. We create a bot that you can talk to about anything and it supports conversation just question answer and then starts like injection different services to you know. Let's add the weather. Let's add local storage and so on but initially we would say you know you can just talk to talk to it Speak to about anything and by the way to also help like multiple different requests
How Galaxy Digital bridges the gap between the crypto and the institutional worlds
"A very simple thing to ask you. Which is what is galaxy actually do. Because every time i see described. It's usually a really vague. Term like galaxy is an investment firm in crypto or galaxy. Works in the crypto industry. Never see a release specific description of it i. We're going to try to be much crystal player so we have four or five businesses. Did anyone to break it out. We have one business. Which is were you know or adventure shop direct investing and so we've invested in eighty companies. That are building out the crypto ecosystem from new protocols like one inch or luna token to exchanges to custody services so anything that has touched the crypto ecosystem or quite frankly the virtual world ecosystem we're investing in so we have a giant portfolio of of investments. We have inventory of bitcoin. Theory of another coins that i personally trade And so by at one is going down and settlers going up and so that's our principal activities. Then we have what you'd call a traditional sales let sales trading credits. We lend money to people that are participating in the space that's miners. That's that are just normal. Customers lending on margin we have a derivative business. Right were the second or third biggest a market maker in options and so you want to do structure product or sell calls against your position or by plus where there for institutions we have an asset management business where we take other people's money in raise it we have a bitcoin fund We have the bloomberg. Bitcoin crypto index We have a venture fund that focus on the virtual worlds stuff and we have an investment bank a group of people that have great domain expertise in the space and we'll give advice on mergers and acquisitions on on capela raziq and so and then we have a mining division right. We are minding our own crypto. And that's mining finance its mining derivatives in its us mining ourselves and so pretty broad and diversified it's been focused on institutions not retail. And so that was a painful position to be in until about april last year. With covid happened right. i said l. the 'institutions are coming in men. they were slow and then covert happened. And they went from walking at one mile an hour to trotting to sprinting. And now it's like ninety nine mph. You know just mad dash and so you've seen hedge funds insurance companies asset managers all entering the space since april and. That's why when we went through twenty. We went right to forty in bitcoin. Those institutions are mostly buying bitcoin. But the moment you make a little money in bitcoin yelich. What else is in this space. And you look into the theory amoeba system. And you're like wow that's pretty cool too. And so then. They're putting some money in theory and then the final spaces will wear the real disruptions to happen is in defy defy really simply put his taking a blockchain breeds in the financial system. Right it is creating driverless. Banks or driverless. Insurance companies are driverless derivative markets. And that while it still. I think in the sandbox right. It's still working out the kinks in beings. Lloyd it's growing so fast that you could see the guppies jump out of the sandbox and become frog's really
Chelsea Coaching Carousel Continues
"Lampard site as chelsea the stevie nicks and don hutchinson here to discuss that decision. St let's start simply showy. Was it fair. i don't think he's fear. No the problem is that we're talking about a club that's not normal. We're talking about club that regardless of the name of the manager regardless of the cv yelich or experience or whatever it may be when you lose so many games You don't get a chance to to get back your way. You may have been before you lose games. You lose your job. That's kind of their immortal. And so frank just falls into the into the spot where others before him. Have you lose goodbye. don't they. Size it in the statement. They weren't saying any particular progress under lampard fair. I think that's fair. I do think though he should not have been more time. Try and get his way out about for me to goodful missile and such distances all full still in the last sixteen. The jump zeke's but there's a couple of performances at the end of last season stall will season not worried that three down against west brom come back to three three sat on in game. Gema chelsea will unbelievable for forty five minutes and fought in southampton that drew dot three three will hang towards the end of the game so this being being games where he got himself into goodful. There's one periods on november december. Where the at the most clean sheets in the league and there was sitting On december the fifth on never had them is titled favorites. I didn't get carried away. And nor did frank on each Will not ready for title challenge. Anatomy bottle molested performance. Really worried may done. thousand tuna. Lost lostock could easily have been five six. But i still think you know if you'll wrote abramovich annual no the board of directors at chelsea. You must understand that. Frank lampard chelsea is going to have a difficult time. It's just not gonna come into legend and tried to call plate while cloth Lots in in a pet quality ola and marino. It's going to be difficult for him so when you are in difficult times. I would've thought. I would shut him a little bit loyalty and more only little bit patients and if it didn't work out in a month salmon chelsea was still in his position then tell them to stop in time and just seems a little bit off. What was it. What was the last straw. Well not not the luton game because they wanted strange when you suck someone to win we even. If it's in the autumn of to hold up in the league for example. I think he's an accumulation of things like the boys of said. The results haven't been good enough. He's the manager of the abramovich era with the lowest point tally per game again which is just not good enough. It's not good enough the performances that they've put the way they played no identity and we at the end of january. Now no patterns of plano star. There's nothing you can see really in the game. They played too many defeats sunday in the last six weeks and i think he also pays the difficult relationship behind with marina. Grownups difficult relationship that he had some of the dressing room. Certainly the fight. That tim of hobbies have failed so far to establish themselves in. That team is also on him. He can argue that he wanted can ride. I didn't think the team was balanced. He needed a bit more time. Whatever excuses he can come up with. I think overall is just not good enough and and we've seen in the past sake managers who've won great things like marino konchalovsky and keeping some like sorry like to finish the season and finished with with with a trophy as well for he must have. It was the right time to change and to bring much to what you don. I'm not hearing of drought. Jody morris a texas I wouldn't i wouldn't bombard the Text because a frat will be hutton. And so so. We'll jody morris But front knows. I think he's he said dot stipends not nice disappointed in raleigh saw. I'm not just go back to the bigger picture dot unless i'm naive. When you see other gonna solve show on your say mccullough frontline pod come into the league expected to win the premier league. Expect to get close to wouldn't jump. His legs latte is so difficult and you say we'll all these. I mean. this guy was going to be cycling. They when they failed to qualify for the last sixteen of the jump zig and went out ridiculously early on bodily as well or not. it was under pressure. Walk two months ago. An authentic turn things around episodes slowly. All he's not sitting tilt the league's just think a little bit of patients unfortunately talked about chelsea and night on any monitor patients when they win the league a win the very biggest these japanese. They still pull the trigger. Do you think he's biggest. Mistake has been the when you go and spend so much money on attacking players and you come to the halfway stage of the season. Nobody knows what your front four is going to be. Then i think. I if i'm looking at that from their point of view swirl ho ho long do we give this guy t saw how we're going to go forward because right now you've probably got what seven or eight players vying for four squats and we have had every single combination and we still don't know come come saturday afternoon. Who's going to. Who's going to step forward and plan that front force. Or i would suggest that's been his biggest mistake.

Brewers OF Cain opts out of 2020 season; series called off
"Outfielder Lorenzo Cain has opted out of the rest of the 2020 major league baseball season. How valuable is he? Well, consider this as we go inside the numbers brought to you by the new Ford Super duty built Ford tough since 2015 When Kane won a World Series with the Kansas City Royals. He is fourth among all Major league baseball outfielders. In war. The only three outfielders ahead of them are all M V piece Mike Trout, Mookie Betts and Kane's Brewer's teammate Christian Yelich. Most of his value comes on the defensive end. Since 2012. Lorenzo Cain leads all of Major League Baseball with 12 robbed home runs around Major League
"Should I Take the PPP Loan?"
"Linda's with us in Kansas. Hi Linda How's it going out there? It's going wow thank you. How CAN WE HELP TODAY MR MD? I'm so blessed to be able to talk to you. I'm the owner of small business. I've been in business for over twenty years. I don't have any debts. I never took out a loan on the business and We you know we've been profitable and I have three employees now. I was advised by my landlords that I rent the space from and by my financial planner to apply for this paycheck protection. Plan and Right before the coronal violinist you really hustled and we got a lot of business in so it would be okay. I mean I could get through this without taking out the loan but I was told that it was free. Money and So what do you find? Do I take out the loan or do I lay off to other people that works for me about you said you could make it through it? I can make it through it only if I'm by myself because I'm the third person kind of businesses it. It's it's a service industry specialized okay and so how long before you run out of money if you don't take the loan I would say three months. So why can you not make it three months? I can make it three months. I'll lay anybody off if I don't I would say a month and a half. Okay all right. So why do you have to make the decision? Now lay someone off or take medicine loans to four different thanks I mean if you didn't take the loan okay and you want a month and a half out assuming the loans are still available. They may not be but you could take it then right well. That's a good idea. I hadn't thought it because after a month and a half. I think you could be turned around. What service do you provide? Well it's an. It's an art service. Okay all right cool. Well the thing is what we told our folks here is. Are you and your husband in good shape financially? We're you don't have to take an income from the business for awhile. Lightsaber okay. For few months. Yelich for like if you didn't take an income for one month you can keep your people. Yes yeah I would look at you not taking an income before I laid people off and I would look at laying people off before I took out a loan. The problem with the P P P loan is it is a loan it has a term with an interest rate it is not a grant it has provisions and you can pull the law up and read it. It's available on the Internet. It has provisions for forgiveness of the loan. And that's why you're advisors are acting like it's money if you made those provisions exactly and if they don't change the game in the middle of it and you're dealing with the SBA and the federal government and frankly I don't trust their competence and I don't trust Congress to not change the game so I am never going to borrow money. I can tell you at Ramsey. The first thing that will happen is is. Our leadership team will go without pay. The second thing will happen is is that another layer of our leaders would volunteer likely to go without pay. The third thing that would happen is we would go. Everybody else skips a paycheck so that nobody loses a job and way after that would be and layoffs. And I think you're a ways away from this and I think these guys are just going free money and I don't think it's free money. This ain't monopoly. This is real life. Those are real dollars and they're going to want them back if you don't meet the guidelines. I disagree vehemently with the advice. You've been given a void the P. avoid the federal loans. You'RE GONNA regret it America if you don't. I'm just telling you avoid the stinking debt. Please guys please and you can be mad at me and you can make fun of me some dinosaur if you want. But I'm sitting here freaking open too. So shut

League MVP from twenty eighteen would run through the twenty twenty eight season and will include a mutual option for twenty twenty nine two hundred fifteen million dollar extension earlier on ready I just said that'd save either way if they're going to be done of the you do that kind of money is seen sign the young to be spayed enough to take it I mean come on now that kind of money I'm not turning away why get a chance to make close to thirty million dollars and I changed my bank account I don't care from playing in Siberia or Havana you give me that kind of money there is nothing is saying about that as opposed to your point the going rate for guys like him it's in that kind of neighborhood you're not getting my child money yet again Erin judge money would you Christy yell it's you can't turn down that kind of money you don't fear the unknown you fear the known and unknown is if I tell me from this contract and I get hurt yes what's not going to be there that contract he's completely sane but taking that money on the walkie brewers the deal would keep yellowish with the brewers through twenty twenty eight or twenty twenty nine if that option is exercised nine figure contracts in Major League Baseball coming more more common here toward general night ESPN radio speaking of making more money NFL players wouldn't mind it blurs association still working out details of how folks in the union will vote on the proposed collective bargaining agreement giants offensive tackle Nate solder he's a player rep for the giants he's leaning yes you know I I avoided believe that I'm going to fight for the guys that don't have a voice and I know guys that know also feel that way so I don't want to be overly weighted that way but I I think it is great for us because it increased the minimums increased our benefits both the current and former players we got a bigger share of the revenues and and you know I I just think that it's better for us if we can form a deal with good conscience with with good faith with the owners and it is you have to go to a fight if we know they sold earlier on Golovkin wango there have been sticking points in this proposed CBA most notably the movement to a seventeen game season but there are some who would approve it to the guys of PTI what do you think a soldier's perspective holder said that he wants to give voice to the voiceless I think he's speaking for I don't say a silent majority gets tempting to say that though I think he's speaking for people who are not stars who don't make a lot of money who feel they have nothing in common with Aaron Rodgers and which insurance because they don't make that kind of money they know they're not going to be only for ten years they want to get paid as quickly as they can this is not like the NBA we're guys towards the end of the bench or making a lot of money yeah sixty one percent of the people in the NFL and make a right around a million dollars or less than that so so I understood I'm glad to hear somebody like this was a player rep say it like this so we don't just hear from start you know my first thought is kicking okay just vote please I'm sorry well we we we don't right now it's super Tuesday vote today let's do it what would you look look the point to be made here is it is it like baseball or the NBA where four guys make a mil this fifteen of the guys in the locker room what are you doing Hey what are you doing so this is not that improbable tonal and even that mill is not guaranteed price not guarantee they can just take it from you guys cut you and get rid of it so I understand what that soldiers say wait a minute I got these guys with Tony I think there's some guys in that rank and file who also is a seventeen game aren't the promising they're looking out after my health is not doing what you're saying is what's holders saying is they're they're going to pay you for seventeen game they're going to give you more benefits are gonna make sure you are right soldier made a bunch of money yes he's already made one million dollars he's won two super bowls he doesn't have to take this position no he could take the start position like he's lighting up yeah so I it it's unbelievable zero I thought you know what I don't know why don't know anymore we don't have exit polling well we do it at every entrance polling yet but I don't know whatever I just well my guess is that the rank and file looks at the stars and says this what do I have in common with them I'd like to be them but I'm not them so we'll see working for the union membership for a full vote just needs a simple majority to go into effect for this year the vote to send the proposal to the membership what's close currently seventeen fourteen with one of its tension but the union membership will vote on a sports center all night ESPN radio there are guys who this spring will be drafted in to the NFL ESPN analyst Todd McShay says Washington should draft to a talk by law but he says they won't earlier on NFL live our job Saturday if he were to be healthy if he is healthy and you had say a ten year run do you take to to change young Haskins I take it and go chase that quarterback for the next ten years can catch the edge and do what you want to go do you have a quarterback did you have last year you don't know where I don't care what the medical reports say you don't know what to was gonna do how it how healthy is going to be is it for next year you do not go to a strong degree what she showed and you've seen the way the Bosa affected the draft even last year how impactful he was for the forty Niners does get if you don't if you get it that suggests a stamper I'm at that stage that is an impact player on a football team that can help you for a long way a long time so in my opinion you build with sure thing at chase young Russian though this do you love to shop are you like all in S. yeah you're right and I'm going to that's the reason I got smart to use because hypersensitive keeps on saying you love love love Jordan what you love what yes I I think he's I think he's the best player in this year's draft almost unrelated question I am not asking about White House consideration per se but have you seen enough from Dwayne Haskins separate from all of the staff to be confident in his abilities to be the cornerstone of a franchise going for us I think I think to Todd's point he will be a good he will be an efficient quarterback I don't know that he ever is a star quarterback he is good enough to win you football games in the NFL and so if you've already spent what you spent last year to get this guy to go on and move on I mean it would be going to the to it unless you felt like two is going to come in and he is gonna be that guy and with the with the health and not only from just the hip but for what's happened in his college career how much more of an upgrade is this gonna be that's that's that's it that's the toss of a list of franchises you can you can't build on the what ifs I mean it's very difficult to do that so if you know what you have in Haskins I know what you can build into it if it doesn't work you can go get a veteran some other end up well all our questions ultimately will be answered as we know this spring sports center all night ESPN radio all access spring training continues this week on ESPN it's been good so far we had red Sox Yankees on Tuesday manager Aaron Boone whose whose line up is facing some injuries we feel like we have.

Are we start things off with Zach Cram. I realized that like I always end the intro. Throw by saying you're coming on and then start this segment by saying you're coming on so maybe I should just be like surprise. Guests who it is hello I would before we get into the good stuff stuff just like to start by issuing thank you to Hansel robe lists who struck out two batters in a stellar save appearance on Sunday to push me pass producer bobby by a grand total of one strikeout into the ring or fantasy baseball championship bobby already peeved that the mets loss ro bliss on waivers last year just before he got good now has all the more reason to despise us angels closer so I just want to start out by thanking him and you you know just mentioning that as bobby that can later edit these words into really anything he wants. This is I was. GonNa ask. You Care to respond but clearly you do. This is a bridge too far far honestly so when listeners get to this podcast and they here just just Mike talking to no one is silence on the other end. They'll no way I will say. I do also feel a measure of complicity in in this 'cause the first two years. We've had this fantasy baseball league. I've snuck into the playoffs and upset. Zak is the number one seed and my team was dog. UGH Shit this year so I was unable to perform that service for you bobby so I apologize. There's nothing people like more than hearing three dudes talking about their fantasy baseball SPO- leagues. That's not dislike less than sixty seconds okay. Honestly that's also less depressing than the topic. We're about to talk about so well. It's a perfect segue because is I lost due in large part because I lost Christian Yelich Justin Turner and I don't even remember the last person was so that's where we are yeah well. All that is sort of a symptom of we're GONNA talk about season ending injuries and there've been so many they're hard to keep track of so Zach what do you what do you have for us on this topic doc basically the sheer number of impactful season entering season ending injuries. We've seen over the last week this since as we talked last time last Tuesday has been kind of overwhelming as I guess there are a couple different sorts of injuries to think about. There's is the injury to a player we really like watching but which doesn't affect the playoff race like. Mike Trout and Shohei Ohtani are both out for the season which basically renders angels Games James unwatchable the rest of the way but angels games weren't really going to be the key drying point over the last couple of weeks of the season anyway but then there's the other kind of injury which directly affects the playoffs. Christian Yelich is out for the season hobby biases out for the season. Anthony Rizzo is an out for the season but he'll be out for at least a week I think the the report was after hurting his ankle over the weekend so really like there aren't that many playoff races to watch right now it's down to the wildcard the NFL central control and the NFL wild card race and we're having injuries directly removing some of the most fun players from the teams and it it kind of sucks as we enter the last stretch run yea. I should say I believe hobby is out for the rest of the regular season but they're not ruling out a return sometime later in October. which you you know this being the cubs that might functionally be the same thing but yeah. I said that didn't happen. that happened before Lascaux. 'cause I talk a little bit with Sahara about it last week but yeah the Rizzo thing happened. over the weekend ends like every time. I've this this thing with ankle injuries where every time I see video of it. It looks like my first reaction is Oh my God. They're going to need to amputate the foot and it always turns out to be Oh now. It's a it's a sprained Ed. He'll back in two weeks I. It's like just this way with an ankle. Injuries were just always looked so much worse than They actually ends up being yeah. It was pretty bad so I was kind of surprised that the diagnosis was relatively mild eld as it ended up being the issue is just not that much time in the season left so even though they don't have to like cut the leg off the fact that Rizzo resolve even missing a week or two at this point functionally means the cubs needed to completely adjust their lineup as they're fighting for a playoff spot and I think this is where we get into like you know. There's that saying that in March madness the basketball tournament people like watching upsets for the first couple of rounds but then they really want to watch the favorites battle in the final four and I don't know it's really pithy sayings yeah. I don't know how I really fully subscribe to that belief but it is kind of cool to see players like Niko Horner who you talk about last week step up and make an impression in his first major league appearance. He's hitting three sixty four as we talk on Tuesday morning and helping helping the cubs win some games by there is I think a functional difference between watching Nego Horner and Ian HAP- try to fill in for the star players and just watching buyers and Yelich battle for a playoff spot that actually steers into the one like semi troll elite take the like. I'm not sure how much I believe this but I'm going to say it anyway if this is actually not the worst time to lose your star player because the difference between Hobby Debiasi Nico Horner like on Bat to bat basis is almost imperceptible then the difference between the two of them is going to be played out over the course of one hundred sixty see two games in which case it is vast you know even as as you know intended no disrespect to Nico Horner who seems like a perfectly fine major shortstop but you're you're going to notice that over six months by even in this like on one little like obviously you want to go to war with your best a slide up when the Games matter most and certainly if horner comes up in a situation in the wildcard game for instance the cubs will probably I wish they had hobby Baya's but he's not substantially less likely to get a hidden at situation. If you just take that one at bat like maybe it's a difference of of like five percent to like. It's almost a a matter of I think we know better than to say the playoffs or a crap shoot oh as glibly as we did a couple years ago but I think there's still so much randomness that if particularly if you're a team like the cubs it has quality players to either inserted into the lineup or move around and this is different for say Christian Yelich in the brewers 'cause he is so much of that offense like I I say that I and of course they're gonNA come back and make the ploughs now just because of that but like I almost feel like you can deal without your star player. Flyer for for even a couple of weeks and not miss that much particularly if it's a position player yeah I think I when I was saying that I was conceiving of it. More as an entertainment proposition as opposed to now baseball is not an entertainment proposition. It's an opportunity for arbitrage by it. You're right like even going by a framework like war like if a superstar player is worth six wins over a season over the course of two weeks that's half a win and over replacement player and maybe they could slump. There's certainly no saying that buyers would perform better than horner over such a short span but I think there is an entertainment perspective here that's worth considering because these games are just under spotlight more like over the course of the summer months and when I'm watching any given couple of baseball games every night. I'm just flipping back and forth. I have like the game changer tool which allows me to pick players. I just WANNA see their bats from and now you combine those players and put them in a race where I'll be watching those games anyway because they just matter more for the rest of the season and the standings that like I was really excited to watch the elhage try and do what he did last season in in last September as the brewers push to win the division. He hit three seventy five zero eight eight zero four and looking at those numbers. I am honestly shocked that his on base percentage was only five hundred because it felt like he was reaching base four times a game. I'm surprised that number isn't like eight hundred looking at it now and Yell Itch was starting off the September hot as well and that matters to the team but that also matters from the perspective of people watching brewers games even if they're not brewers fans. It's just fun to watch a sport where baseball players cannot typically single handedly do anything for their team like Lebron. James can in basketball but trying eyeing but seen players come the closest that can and try to do that is part of the fun of September. I think yeah well I would say. There's a counterpoint to that and I certainly I don't think you're wrong but I I also wonder if absent something like the great individual performance like Yelich down the stretch last ear or a Madison Bumgarner twenty fourteen or Corey Kluber unanswered Miller in two thousand sixteen like absent a truly transcendent individual performance formats. I wonder if there's sort of like it's sort of like a Friday news. Dump idea that there's a fixed amount of column inches that a newspaper can print in a day and like there's a fixed amount of excitement that a neutral fan can have over over a postseason and insofar as that changes it changes so much much more on team outcomes than than individual outcomes like it doesn't it. I think it matters less whether we have a hobby. Baya's were were Nico Horner in the lineup then whether the cubs you know force a five game division series or a seven-game Elsie ass or something like that and the as as far as the individual games as long as the Individual Games had series of dramatic heroes will reveal themselves somehow and so as much as we like the established star are coming out and pulling assessment. It's down the stretch in two thousand fifteen or Manny Ramirez in two thousand eight we also like to see the UNSUNG hero zero pop up here. The David exe died so you know not to invoke the ultimate cliche but yeah that's exciting in its own way as well particularly if it's young player fire he's just getting his first taste of major league action so I you know I think and you know just look back to that incredibly fun brewers last year once she got into the postseason as in yellow is not the is not the player. I really remember like you remember Brandon Woodruff. You remember gyulay's chassis like he's yelling is not the the guy I remember really defining that postseason run for the burs once they got into the playoffs so if you're looking at it from that perspective I think you know we will. We will find heroes in narratives. There's certainly some air to that like even as we end the two thousand ten decade the biggest postseason heroes of the decade are probably Madison Bumgarner who we might have expected as an ace pitcher and then like David freeze. Nobody probably expected to become one of the most valuable world series contributors of all time the I think the distinction there is between what you're saying is like heroes will emerge but that's not necessarily you don't go into a postseason series necessarily necessarily expecting any of those things to happen so I think that's the difference between anticipation and then reaction. If that makes sense like we are going to here's anyway away but we can't necessarily anticipate that excitement like we can when yell at shes involved there even like a lower tier player like Byron Buxton who the twins are going to make the.

"I picked Christian Yelich I guess and it has nothing to do with the first half of this season and has almost everything to do with the fact that he just hasn't stopped since last since April of last year fan graphs war rating has yelling at twelve point four the next best would be Christian Yelich at twelve point four in the next best would be bellinger at nine point five. I I loved all those stats. I mean it's good to see you guys came back from your trip to Cleveland like ready to cook. ooh I agree I mean I think it's bellinger but I think we're I just WANNA ask. I think we're on the same page that this is basically a question of team success though right like that's the tiebreaker were you at this point. Essentially once you go down and all the MAZARS stats and it's like well. There's no there's no running away with it. Then you kinda go to. I think Dallas laid out in what jared suggested that Yelich is basically having as good of a statistical season is true by by the way since I don't really disagree with anything you guys said all time first-half opie s in the N._F._l.. So going back to nineteen thirty three the first year of the All Star Game Yelich first-half opiates ranks twenty first all time and the best since Actually Bryce Harper's twenty fifteen so not that long ago and bellinger first-half opie s ranks tied for twenty sixth all-time in the pretty pretty elite company yeah. I'd say so the A._l.. M._V._p.. Gentlemen I feel like we're getting to a point where when we start having this conversation and Major League baseball does this throughout clubhouses houses and we used to do this when tiger was tighter every tournament that we that we get together on that we bet on that we have a pool on like the masters tournament the Open Shit like that. These are tireless pools meaning inning. You don't get to pick so he. He's not an option. It's the field that you're selecting from tiger is not an option so I almost feel like Mike Trout is kind of becoming that guy when we start to have these conversations because coming I mean when I say becoming because like we're just completely eliminating any possibility that any player would ever even come close to Mike Trout and we know what happens when you fly close to the sun you get it fucking torch Jerry look at your face. There's a reason why might trout is who he is because he seemingly never gives other folks like again. I always go back to Miguel Cabrera having to win the triple fucking crown to prevent might trout from winning the M._v._p.. And didn't have a better season and so it's might trout but for I think for our conversation sake aside from trout is where the conversation gets interesting in the A._l.. That's where where else will appear on the ballot exactly that's and I and I think that's I don't know if it's necessarily fun to do it that way but for me anybody not named might trout. I think the M._v._p.. At this point in time is Alex Bregman interesting. I mean I think I think your point about who is second. After trout or third.

"By yelich and he dropped the ball in right field. And, of course, as Dave said, Poehler was running, but he was well would have held them up. And well we're going to talk to well tomorrow morning about today's game a lot of winding movement. Yeah. Let's be tired. You pointed that out in the press box today but I had a look and see who was in right field. I couldn't believe that was yelich. I know he never makes a mistake and he dropped the ball and just dropped the ball and that allowed pelota scoring that gave the giants the second run in that seventh inning. And that was their seventh run of the game. Well that. Was something that was something else to see or something. I don't know what I'm sure that, you know, someone from the brewers Seidel ask him about it. But you know that's that's just part of the game today and very nice game for Crawford today. And of course belt, you know, they turn that double play all the time belt a walk today. He got the big hit in the eighth inning took a call third strike in the six which I didn't like it all. But for belt today hitting in the three spot allowed distress get come up to that to spot for the kid and I've said this, I asked to play the something about him. And I know maybe the name suggested maybe I'm brainwashed, by the stretch father lineage thing. But I, I will tell you this base it in the first inning. First and second with panic. They got on the walk one of the four walks in the fifth inning. And then the base hit in the sixth inning before belt took the call third strike. So and then he made the play. And if you haven't seen it go on. On you. Yeah. The San Francisco Giants Instagram there's a picture of him kind of diving and he's totally horizontal. He really gave it everything he had, and you weren't sure if he was going to make it or not, you really have to look and say, oh, did he get it? Got it. To be here to see it. I will tell you, it was one of the one of the more mazing catches, I've seen. I just didn't know really what he had defensively and it was really nice to see him make a play that you would see somebody who super good at defense like Gregor, Blanco, or somebody that was like a very, very impressive play good comparison to block. Oh, hey. Let's go to Patrick in Detroit. Patrick nice to have you on the show. Go ahead eight away. Kmby are. How we should push already, you know, might first base both. Love was Billy good. But it was given to me by my aunt. She knows very little about baseball. I remember getting main coil losing it up within close to the peaceful and tied to clothesline put it under the mattress about two months. I underlined metrics until I get. You know that. Yeah. No. That's what people did. And again, what's the modern way to break in a glove today? And of course, I haven't had a new glove since the eighties when I got glove that I talked about this morning, the blue vita blue glove. And I've shown it the void is that mesh glove is a prototype out of Japan and I used it for all my softball career Evans that had high school. And when the ball went in the pocket of that club it never moved. And that's what I always remember what do people do today? I wonder eight eight km Biard but yeah. Putting I had olive oil in mine, and I never wrapped it up, though. I never member doing that. You put lettuce in it. But olive oil oil. Yeah. Very anyway, giants. The wildcard we get two hundred and you got freaky teams, don't even doing anything way or under can still plenty of because. Teen plenty. Did you like or whatever? We could become buyers instead of as well. You know, Patrick that's, that's a it's a long way away. You know you'd probably have to get ten games over five hundred in that period of time. That's going to be tough to do. But it does make you it gives you. Pause to think for a second. And that's why that's kind of where I got once he got the thirty and thirty eight. Now you can't go backwards. See the, the big thing about the deficit. And I've said this for so many years when you when you dig a hole, you gotta get out of the whole, you can't go, you know, when sixteen out of seventeen and still be five under five hundred because you're going to go backwards at some point. So you gotta get over the Mark and that's tough to do. That's tough to do because you're going to go backwards at some point. But look at made it fun. And at least gives you a moment to think about it and things. Listen to dodger game last I just a little bit in the ninth inning tonight for space spaceman. He gets sick of and killing Janssen the gripe. They come the Greg. There might be still inside. Put some book delivers bar to get the guy. That's because he was still in the sign be now. That's that's amazing. That's why Carmen remember that one for tomorrow. Whether a pitcher with deliberately balked to get the runner off second third. Now he had he had more than one it was a five three game Wright, tune when the money you what the two triple say giants head a planning Bill Joyce in eighteen ninety seven maybe eighteen triples in one game because that's four well who knows what the field looks like you know that it's different thing, but going back to the eighties. Stephen the kosher did it to triplets in the game. They were Billy hit triples out there, Melina did and today for the first time all year. Triples, alley played for me where I said, oh, good, you know, vote has got them Kuala triples alley. This is going to be triple, and you know, that sort of stuff it played for me today. It really was helpful for me. I like we can go into L A and take three of the four from the LA gripers. We'll see. Great for one day at a time, Patrick. You know that you gotta believe money good show is. All right. Take care of yourself. Nice. They hear from him. Let's go to Bill in Daytona Beach Bill, eight eight km, be our go ahead. How you doing? Good. Very good things in Daytona. Beatable eighty degrees on the boardwalk, California weather right now, California August, but it what it is August. Here. It won't be like this anymore. You know that you've been you've been here. I've been on that boardwalk at Daytona Beach. I've been there you know that beautiful anyway, I was thinking back. I've been a fan for a lot of years and every time I remember going to my. What, what used to read the newspaper on Sunday? I wanted to see how my giants were doing in the top ten in what average RBI but mainly whole month. I never looked to see how many triples we got nobody cares about triple A. Double, the become triple exciting home run that becomes a triple is just getting old, the ball's gonna be triple, then you use your speed got you around not because four hundred twenty feet and let it in a gap in a catcher could get triple, so. Yeah, it was citing good. It's not the same kind of exciting, I'd rather see home run. All right. All right. Well, you know, a lot of people look this home runs going nuts fifty five last night. And I think by the third inning today, Arizona in Washington had six home runs in the game. So I like the game today because the ball was all over the place on the field, and it gave me a million decisions to make for the manager and for.

"And she just kept saying, magic over and over again. So then I just started referring to him as a Madge off clearly. Yeah. Everybody remembers thing with Derek Dietrich where I just started calling him the D And no one remembers that hours good. I mean riddles his nickname's gotta be Ridler. Now you've got to imagine. But they're experimenting with him in centerfield. And Lewis Brinson has been moved to right field in the minors sort of addressing which you've always said, which is just a terrible because they got rid of every good outfielder. So they now need outfielder you shocked at how much I know about the Marlins minor league system has I'm surprising myself. I'm remembering this correctly, and I could be wrong. I remember on opening day. They had people's nicknames next to them. So you get to know the player whatever and I think JT riddles nickname was t- because I guess, JT was too long. I could be wrong but I know there was someone that had just simply one letter. As their nickname. And it was like a very simple name that didn't need to be short. I liked how JT riddle and then we had JT real Mito, and they both one of them puts the dot in between Jay and the team. And one of them does. I don't remember which one which but they like we're both like no. You put the dots and the other one was like, no never dot so someone should have been named Jay, Don or something like, right? We welcome in Dan Le Batard are resonant Derek Dietrich expert who yesterday for some reason, said that separated himself from his comment Dietrich was a minor league hitter. Yeah. You put several years there that weren't there that you said this last season that they're Dietrich was a minor league ball black. He's berry bonds. It was it was two years ago Barry Bonds, and he hit three home runs yesterday. How many heads does he have this, easiest thirty hits seventeen of which are home runs? Imported update JT real mutual dots. Thank you very much, Derek Dietrich is now third tied for third. In the National League with home runs. It means two of the top three homerun hitters in the National League or Christian yelich Derek Dietrich. I don't think it's fair to hold Dietrich against the Marlins. I don't and not just because I was wrong about him like they waived him. They simply wave claimed him. They weren't trying. Everyone was wrong Marlins were just one of all the other type I feel like the rest of baseball agreed with me when he was waived and all of them said, you know what he's not a major leaguer, did they not agree with at least upset with it. But it was mainly because I just liked Eric Dietrich, and I thought like you know what I mean this team is going to be bad. What does it kill you to have their on your team? But I did not expect us. I don't think anyone did. It'd be great if this year in the homerun derby. It was American League versus former Marlins, and it was just like. Derek Dietrich Christian yelich owes Oona. We could find someone else saying that what a bus of a trade that's been putting he's been injured older problem Marlins killing that trade stand barely plan at all. So he doesn't even make the former Marlins Rosser. You can maybe try to crack the American League man. This is funny. What's happening with their D Derek DJ three homers in a game? And now Furthermore, I'm about this. When he's having that bloop wasn't blue, but it was a double where he was shirtless. A game winning double, and he took off his shirt. It's no lie. It's the background on my computer. Like I'll show you right now. Background. I'm like that. This is the background like you can see it. Yeah. I wanted to put this on a t shirt, but I figured I might run into some sort of legal issues with, like the photographer. He's so hand, he's so hand forced yelich is in that photo. Happy. So happy. "You have trouble making a trade in dynasty league, whether it's fantasy or same or whatever when you when you rostered that player for like a decade, general question here, obviously, we all personal biases towards players. I do towards good Phillies and. Players, I've Rostro forever. But like Dave traded away, Joey Votto, and one of our leagues and he literally had him for more than a decade. And he didn't get back what he should have like if you train them a year ago. Do you have trouble trading away a player, you've just become accustomed to it? Yes. Absolutely. And in that very league, we're talking about. I had marked Shera for the entirety of his career, and I probably should have traded him in his final productive year. And I didn't do it. It's hard. It's I I let Lance Berkman and Jimmy Rollins just like fade away. I didn't train them at all. I was both fell into this trap, but I was contending, like. A little different anyway. And also, we're holding onto the players that we originally picked is there was no limit like like the salaries. Don't go up in that league anyway. But you didn't ask me about the race there, Phil because I don't think I'd wanna see what I'd look like one of those giant heads, you do have a giant head. You should run. One of those raises you wouldn't even need to put that head on. He's used to topple over just as me. We was well, what they don't fall down tristen. We're done for today show. Thank you so much for listening a little bit weird, but we hope you like it, and hopefully it sounded better. And we're sorry for the problems of the past, but we think we've solved them now for Tom for Kyle for tristen big head and all I am Eric have an awesome week. "That's third for a major league team. They are still a team, but, like come on. Right. Can you make a case? Do you even joy Smith ranked among your top hundred outfitters, eighty three? Yeah. I mean he three rent for eighty one like I the split for me would be like Renfro sixty and Dwight Smith like one hundred I just I guess, in a way if you give anybody six hundred plate appearances Dwight Smith could get that for this awful team. He could end up with fifteen homers and eighty RBI. So maybe I'm under valuing him a little bit. I. There is a value in playing time when you get into the deeper leagues and they've got to be at the minimum fifteen teams of mixed or the AL only so Smith does kind of matter there. But you and I have talked a lot about is underlying metrics, the stat cast data. They don't support Smith being a very good player consider Matic, but I hate to be the second jerk here, but I will be Santana jerk. That's what I just heard. That's what I heard. And secondarily should Jerko in my labor league. Jerko and there you go. Now on the double jerk for saying, Jerry. They could use use a good word instead of a bad word about that. I'm going to be the second genius. Thank you heard that, right? Implications pack on me. I can't learn. Uh-huh. We're not friends still like that was me. Let's move on. I think we should go to a different obviously, we hit a nerve here on this player the Orioles with you and wanted to use the country mile thing. And I can't even do that next. John wants you to prioritize the injured pitchers glass. Now club injured Tyrone and Paxton, well Tristan's rankings? Eric, the do it realized those rankings I do too. And so does AJ for points leagues. But my not might not be updated. But Tristan's are. And his he's got a pretty sure this order Paxton, cleven, jer glass now, Tom, I do not actually I have. Name. Now. You packed your top twenty or a super nice guy. Let's go to a game. We should do that. Sometime nice guy game. Glass now a little over Clemenger. Okay. That's fair. You're guessing I mean, we're all just guessing on this package should be back. Right. Or is he back soon, soon, soon, that, I mean, we're levingers on reassignment soon? So that's a good cleven injures eligibility date is June. Seventh that's the only problem that's only two weeks. I can wait two weeks. Three weeks two and a half two and a half weeks. Yeah. All right. Well, not a movie I can wait two and a half weeks for my cleven. That's a movie. Don't spoil it for me. It was. Did you like the finale, I you know what I was on Twitter and everybody's whining complaining and saying the show stinks? And I'm like, you know, not every episode can be an a plus yes, I'm fine with it. They tied up loose ends. I loved it. I couldn't have been better. The season could have been better. It was rushed, but I'm not going to like go into winter, like all these people that I respect say is the worst show ever you enjoyed eight years of show and you're gonna complain about it now because you didn't like the final episode just like what was the sopranos? Yeah. The last episode ended weird I love that show. I you know, I don't do that. I don't like look at the whole picture shows, mazing, what was the worst? Finale. I you know what I have people were ranking them with Witter. And I'm like, come on, like I just watched the end of the big bang theory, day on my wife and I thought that ended really nicely was a good last episode last season wasn't great. But the last episode it didn't even matter if the last episode was good or not. I was gonna watch it and I was gonna enjoy..

"The smartest way. It's higher. All right. Here's a smartest. Way to discuss players that had homers and steals. All right on Thursday, Christian yelich. And Geraldo, par of all people think, well for the national so far he played first base, though. And that's going to end really soon because Zimmerman and Madame's are coming back and par might stay on the team but he's going to play the outfield because they have a really good outfield. What a mess that team is how you know when you look at the standings at where the National League east those three four teams are I'm surprised. I would not have I, I knew it because I was following. But I I'm a little surprised at how many games below five hundred nationals are I mean the myth couldn't hit the Marlins at all like pub Lopez gave up ten runs in his last adding against them. And then he has hit to the first guy seven perfect innings. I know sandy, Alcan Tara. Sandy can tear and Shane Bieber yesterday. Each threw shutouts Alkatiri was eighty nine pitches. I still I can't recommend him yet a lot of walks. Shame beavers the number fifteen starting pitcher on the player. Enter his if you look at his cumulative numbers, I think they're better than most people expected. I recall those couple of bad outings and kind of criticism a little too much unfairly for them. I wrote about him today in the blog saying, I was, I shares of everywhere, you know, I do and I kept I didn't want to rank them in top third thought it was a little premature. He gave up a lot of stuff to lefty hitters last season, but impeccable command control puts the ball where he wants it doesn't walk anybody. And now he's shutting down every, but now that was Baltimore yesterday. But he's got Hampton Boston is next two outings. I'm very interested because anyway, the, the case pump the brake on the ks Merrick. Because he's not going to strike out fifteen Red Sox, or rays, correct. Saturday Louis Garcia of the White Sox and Sunday Brett Gardner, who I dropped in the vampire league had a homerun stolen base Acklin Frazier stopped hitting for Yankees concern. I bet. Yeah, yeah. He is not looked anywhere near the same player since coming up to the, the aisle than he did before it. I picked, I literally chains half my team in the pilot I picked up all the rookies can't even play them. All. I just you might as well just have the depth. I mean well, just see what happens. See Brenner riders becomes pulled the young. I don't know. We don't know what these rookies are going to do. So I figured just cut. I mean I've lost every week. So those are the combo meals. And now we talk relief pitchers. It's the closing report. All right. Houston's back in the bullpen tastic, but I did write in my blog last week that Ryan Presley who has allowed to run all season long. It's still tough the rostrum and fantasy throw that many innings his K rate is just one inning is one per inning. So it's not that fantastic. I don't think he's gonna win a lot of games like Roberto sooner should be top-five closer right now hasn't blown any say's. He's not giving any baserunners and team's gonna win over one hundred games. But Presley like it's kind of tough the roster him in a league where you need the saves and he's not gonna get any right? And from the traditional rodeo angle. I see exactly your point here. This is one that you and I have debated for years over the value of the middle reliever with no real path to save chances. But I would argue that those ratios are incredibly valuable to the daily players, especially in our standard game. We can work around the starts cats on Presley's a very. Kind of underrated pitcher at that point. I think he has the potential be a top ten kind of guy kinda were hater was last year before he started moving into the saves picture. The difference is hater was getting a lot more strikeouts. Yes. Yes. So that's my point is what about hose Alvarado? That was a bad woman save on Friday against the Yankees..

"He'll join exclusive list of seventeen players to this point who've already gotten twenty homers and fifty games. He hasn't done it with many hits. That's why he's not leading the player player. He has an unusually low number of hits a three twenty five average for what he's done is a little bit low. Yeah. I mean Bellinger and yelich are right now ahead of trout trout at the number twelve player. Twelve twelve hit on the player reader, he should move up like a pass couple of these guys. But Ballinger yelling. I mean, like if you're making a trade like you could make the case in one year to trade trap for at your Bellinger, and it makes sense without a doubt. Yeah. I, I think that, that we're now talking about five man topped roughly a five-man top tier where any of these are interchangeable based on the personal opinion. Not amazing. What he's doing. What is the what is the current pace, I was looking at this day? I like looking at, like paces for players adult berto Montessori right now is, these are amazing numbers is on pace for one hundred twenty eight runs batted in and fifty nine stolen bases. And I thought nobody's ever done that before. Right. I mean like he's batting two eighty which we both think is going to stay there. But he's scoring runs got ninety could stay on pace seventeen home runs. That's legitimate. The steals will probably fall a little short of fifty but because he's batting second now third one hundred twenty eight runs batted in pace out of Berta modesty has anyone ever had fifty steals in one hundred RBI season. It's he is different. He is really different. He might be like a second round picnics. These and I know you don't want to go there and the batting average could be through twenty any day now. But this combination of power and speed like he's does take great terms knocking in one hundred runs. Well yeah that's that's one hundred runs. Thing that really throws me, by the way. Thank you for bailing out here for. I love it. When my little tool and the play index tool makes me, log in again, I actually has been done a fair amount of times one hundred hundred RBI and fifty steals, yet been done a lot. Thirty times however in, in defense of this now most of that was done in the nineteenth century. So Larry Walker. Right. If you're talking about let's say since World War, Two just to do that. Four players did it. Yes, you're right. Eric Davis, did it in nineteen eighty-seven berry eighty steel season. Yeah. The now the fifty fifty to thirty seven fifty Barry Bonds did it in ninety nine thousand ninety. Joe Morgan did it in nineteen seventy six series year and says our Dana didn't say, four underrated, our friend, Dave Schoenfield love Cesar sedan, you. All right. Let's help fantasy people. Prospects got called up and they're all playing anything. Noteworthy to you Austin, Riley keeps hitting home runs. He has opposite power then yesterday did nothing struck out a lot. Brennan, Rogers didn't do much in Philly this weekend, sat on Sunday. They have a chorus field series later this week, catching a homered yesterday for the brewers but they're talking about Travis Shaw going on reemphasized. And so I don't know what's going to happen with that any thoughts on these guys. Yeah. And I think that there is a little worry that here regardless of what he does get sent back to the minors. This does occasionally happen. More rookie deserves to stick around and play regularly. But there just isn't a path firm, but this is certainly going to advance his timetable for a call up at that does happen Riley, I wanna be a little cautious here pump the brakes a little bit, and that he was on a huge tear when he got called up from AAA..

"Versatile, kospi pushing all the right buttons, and editorial watchdog Tom carpenter on today's show, I guess, we'll discuss the weekend pitching performances of note. There were several early returns and all the hot prospects that recently debuted, and people spend a lot of fab money this weekend in the expert leaves, although I actually didn't comma, meals closers, and of course, myriad has Brown's Tristan. How are you doing? Well, who would you get we most leagues I have I don't really have access to those players. But I'll say that in the vampire league got everybody. By the rule. Of course, you win or lose actually. No. You know what I my ale only I got Willie Calhoun? And I'm very happy about that based on the ranger schedule this week in tout mixed I offered up a lot of money to get Austin rally. The Braves and kissing and Willie Calhoun, and I beat off three you know what? It's like so you remember like the Charlie Brown episodes where like during Christmas time. Everybody would go to their stockings and. Oh, pretty dull. Or I gotta a movie and Charlie round be like I got a rock. Well, that's I wasn't out because I bid, like three hundred dollars on some on us Riley and ended up with a three hour Kendra Morales Iraq. I'm going to bail you out here. That's the Halloween episode. That's that's how we I'm you know, me I'm a diehard cartoon. Oh, right, right. Trick or treating the great pumpkin, Charlie Brown. Yeah. I did. I miss shin. First of all, how do I miss that up and say, how'd you know that I love peanuts that, that was my favorite when I was kid? Okay. So how and not Christmas Halloween. Yeah. The Christmas episode was the one with the little tree that they fancy up at the end, and I don't know where they get all the branches to make the tree look like it did at the end. Not really let him saying. Well, I hope Kendra Morales does. Well this week. Anyway, here's the buzz. And who would give a rock as a trick or treat candy? I know. Right. It made. Well, this is the thing peanuts never made any sense. That's I mean, people look to this like, it's some sort of wisdom being provided a lot of it is just weird. None of it makes sense. Well, speaking, not making sense. Let's talk about Christian yelich for a second because he keeps hitting a home run every day, making my predictions look ridiculous. But I believe you have some historical context you'd like to share it because people might be thinking, oh, I got to trade him where I wanna trade for him. And I think he's gonna end up number one player in fantasy just edging out, Cody Bellinger, although the steals, well runs to anyway. Give us some historical context and what he's. Stills more than you think these head of Bellinger, they both contribute. They're very close. So, so Cal actually prompted me to look up the numbers since last year's all star break. That's what I found, particularly interesting is that he's the major leagues leader in batting average at three fifty one home runs with forty four hundred eight RBI leads that category leads in runs with ninety eight and he has substantial leads and all those categories. He's also tied for eleventh in the majors with nineteen stolen bases. Now put that into perspective, if you compared to traditional seasons, only three players in history have ever had at least three fifty batting average forty homers one hundred RBI and fifteen stolen bases. And since we did this KiKi sad. I guess, I'll give you the answers instead of doing trivia. I don't think I'm ever getting those names. Babe Ruth did it twice twenty one and twenty three Rogers Hornsby did it in twenty two and Larry Walker did it ninety seven Walker. So maybe one player since we've been born. Well not Kyle players. We've been born and his Larry Walker. Now, this is what strange though, because I also ran one looking at twenty homers over teams for fifty games if yellows homers tomorrow and the brewers fiftieth game..

"Christian yelich, Ryan Braun, Mike, NewsTalk seven players, and I'm sorry. Six players. I could count if you had to guess how many put on the free T shirt, given by the Milwaukee Bucks. There was a green fear the near shirt, they do a t shirt before every game. Hominy? Do you think put on the shirt? And who do you think put on the shirt, I'm gonna guess too? I know air fame said because he seems like a t-shirt guy seems like the personality Peralta the t shirt on. He did. I think those are my only two that. I would say, okay, there's one more three put on the free T shirt, given by the Milwaukee Bucks. Stockists? No talk is at a hoodie on it looks like he had. I can't tell you the bucks head honor those brewers head. I think it's a buck now two bucks hat. It's like a black hat with a black outline of the state of Wisconsin. And I think bucks in it. But it's all black. So it's kind of hard to see in the picture. Ryan Braun ahead on a black bucks. Hoodie and yellow Ted on. Ministers kotex, which makes sense. Peralta Woodruff in themes, head on the free shirt provided by the Milwaukee Bucks. Now were the sleeves still on air fame. Yes, they are stretched out under his bicep. But yes, they are on can't tell what kind of hat. He's got on. I just thought of this. How how did he and maybe it's because it's in season. How did he David backyard? Not hang out at the game. How did that not happen? I don't know. So they were in a suite. The brewers were seemed like the typically are a bacteria Rogers. They seem to be in Jefferson. I think we had his own seed council seat somewhere in the stands. I'm going to hang out with you clowns down here my own area fee. Enough of you, boys. Get into the brewers the discussion coming up a little bit raptors and seventy Sixers just about to get going tonight from Philly. It's a game that could decide who the bucks will face next in the playoffs. If Toronto wins, they will advance and Philadelphia wins. They force a game seven which will be played in Toronto. Mike from Waukesha on the text line, saying raptors verse bucks. Seventy Sixers had the bucks number throughout the season. The bucks were thorn in the rappers talent all season. Well done on the use of talent. It was pretty even is pretty even the bucks had a blowout. Win over both teams. Relatively close lost the both teams three and one against Toronto two and one against philli. I don't know. How you decide? I mean, they beat Toronto one. Oh, five ninety two one twenty four one. Oh, nine and one four ninety nine. They lost one twenty three one sixteen. All these games were pretty full strength. If I remember, right. Was there a game against Toronto that didn't have Jaanus? Orca. Why I believe that was the first meeting in the season. We're sick both six. Okay. I think you're right against Philadelphia. The bucks won one twenty three one await they lost one thirty one twenty five and they won one twenty eight one twenty two. Sign me up for the raptors. I there's not much separation. I don't believe and I need the theories is sort of playing out that way. I think that I think the seventy Sixers for is dysfunctional as they've been they are loaded with firepower and length disruptive length the raptors don't have as well. They've got some length. They've got some experience and maybe the best player out of the two teams. I don't see much depth there. I am not as free. I'm not as afraid of as many not as many guys can offer thirty on the raptors as Kansas seventy Sixers and see that. I think that's where I disagree now not part of the thirty. But the part of guys who can just go off in general. I'd rather risk. Ben Simmons not being able to shoot a jumps out, which is a huge deal. And Joel Embiid if he gets injured in any way, he's ineffective, and then it's down to what Jay and I'm naming names here. But then you have to lean on jayjay Radic Wilson Chandler. Who's their bagman? Greg Monroe is is one of their main big guys like, I just the depth. They have a little bit of death. But it's certainly can't match the box. And they also they don't have Kawhi Leonard, which I do not want to see seven games of quite Leonard is pretty good. There's no question. I'm not as afraid of Kyle Lowry as it was a couple years ago. Something has just happened here. I don't know what it is Siachen is good player. Who you look at what Danny green is. There shooter does even play much anymore. He does he's an important piece. So he's kind of the rhetoric of the raptors maybe X-factor knowing I that's that's fair. I think that's actually a nice way to put it OG Anna Nobi we haven't heard much about back from injury. If he comes back that could be a Malcolm Brogdon thing. Like, okay, they could use him. That'd be that's kind of what I would be looking for Steve aspirin or of NBA dot com has been following the bucks here for a couple of months. I've seen him more recently that I have my family. We'll get his thoughts on the series. That was in what lies ahead here for the bucks. Coming up next sports central on WTMJ.

"So it's a challenging decision. There's no there's no question about it. In terms of giving yourself the best percentage chance to stop them from scoring. Christian yelich is probably among the most people that I met in baseball. And I related a conversation yesterday in the podcast that I had with him a few years ago. And I do think that he probably has changed his own perception of self dramatically because I remember standing at spring training with in Colorado, and we're talking about his power, and this is a time where he had double digit homers that was a lot and I just mentioned to him. Boy, if you ever got out of Miami, you might be able to hit twenty someplace and when I mentioned that number. He looked to be like I said that he was going to climb mount ever spoke like like twenty. Wow. And it feels like that he's learned a lot about himself over the last year. I mean, you know, do you think that when he was back with the Marlins he thought himself as maybe being a guy was gonna hit forty or fifty and a season. I'm not sure I, you know, the one thing that that's so interesting is I remember that you know, the team that won that one the the WB see what was it was a two thousand and seven bright seventeen when they won. And I can remember talking to him after the fact and couple of things that stood out one that I thought was really funny was that I believe he told me that he was cut from every team USA team that he ever tried out for and then he hits heard which is funny. Team USA team. And then there's the major leaguer shore team USA it hits heard. And then the other part of it was I do remember specifically having a conversation with him. And he wouldn't give me the names. Although you had a decent idea who they were how he would go out to dinner with guys and listen to them, and they were talking about launch angle stuff. They were talking about the need to get the ball in the air and having the conversation with him about that. That's not really what he does. What how he clearly absorbed? What they were saying. So he's a smart smart dude as well guy. I yeah. And so I think there's another thing, you know, he he's one of those guys. It's reminds vow to that, you know, when he hits the three home. Runs. He did his flips on the field the other day. I don't know whether you saw that. But they made a big deal about it. Because he goes this flip drill underneath. And he does it every day. But he decided to do it on the field to see where seaworthy ball would go and everybody with the brewers was like freaking out about it. Because they don't get to see it normally. And then he he did it on the field. But I mean, you know, he was in a stretch was like old for nine and feels like, you know, the sky is falling. It's like out to you know, we go to Houston. Sometimes you'll see wholesale to aid. You'd be like, hey, man, how you doing? And he'll be like. Yeah. Man. I'm just I'm grinding. And like everybody else around him is looking at him like, really? Three twenty five average your sleep. So, but these guys have been places that ninety nine percent of the other players haven't been you know, what I mean? That's what. And they're fueled in a way, that's different. So it's just. It's what makes them special. They're just different last one on yelich. I'm gonna ask you the same thing. I asked him at the beginning of this season about the Christian yelich trade with the Marlins if you look at what is doing and he's twenty seven years old. He's already won MVP award. The key piece in that deal is, you know, for the Marlins Lewis Brinson hitting two seven to fifty eight on base percentage. He's twenty four years old yelich now has more extra base hits than Brinson has hits this season. At the time. This deal went down. I remember getting texts from people with other team saying, oh my God. This is a one sided trade. So I suggested the Tim the beginning of the season. When y'all got off to a great start..

"So that shows up get started at. Football dot com. That's flip board dot com. So when I saw that trade the first thing that I thought of was they basically took Lewis Brinson in what they wanted him to be took Brinson and D as in a couple in a pitcher and made got Christian yelich for a lot of years, by the way. It's it's a long con-. He's still under contract for a while. But you took what you wanted Brinson to be in win got it. You got Christian yelich back who basically is top. He was MVP. Like, let's put it that way. I don't even have to say top anything. He was the National League MVP. He can put the ball where everyone's just like you said, the each row comparison is awesome, in my opinion. And he like you said franchise changer. He adds an element to that to this lineup that they didn't have four. There was never a guy on this roster in my opinion that could literally just basically pick a field and put it there, and he adds everything to this team. And I think that was a big boost it was and I can tell you. There is no way the. Brewers would get where they were without Christian yelich. And when they had to pull off that move, David Stearns general manager ended up going to the ownership and said, this is what we wanna do. And we're not gonna only just get this guy. But we're going to get Lorenzo Cain. And when when you make that kind of move for gala Christian yelich, you have to weigh the factor of him having proven big league success versus prospects. No Brinson, Ed some major league experience, but really not too much in prospects for the most part are unknown. While yelich is a guy that's proven that he can be effective at the big league level. And I think that was a move that when they considered all factors was one that they needed to make and for one year, and I think for a lot longer David Stearns is going to be called the general manager that really changed baseball in Milwaukee for a long long time. So we're gonna talk about Lorenzo Cain here in a second. But we're going to kind of deep dive into prospects. If you had to if you had to pick your favorite three outfield prospects in the system, the number one guy that I'm really high on for the brewers would be Corey Ray. He's a guy that as speed in the field. He doesn't exactly have the strongest arm, but he's got upset with his bat. And he's a guy that debris who's in some parts are really high on. And I know that they've had guys or they've had other teams call about him, and he's been rumored in a possible package for Allie, Madison Bumgarner, and from all the things I can gather Bumgarner is not going to end up in Milwaukee..
