Don Lemon Should Learn When to Keep Quiet!
"Last week, after Nikki Haley announced she's running for president Don lemon, the resident goofball at CNN, who he's gotten drunk on New Year's Eve, said stupid stuff. I mean, everything a lot of times is a racist tone to him. And then last week, you know, coming off and it's been going this whole week because he just came back to what is a Wednesday when he came back. He didn't even apologize. He didn't even mention it when he came back home to CNN morning show, which by the way draws flies for ratings. I mean, there just nobody there. And he didn't even mention the fact that when he said Nikki Haley was past her prime. It's real appropriate. I mean, and you're sitting there with two female host with you. I mean, but I bring this up, James, to ask the question because this is what a lot of people are really, really frustrated about is that it's different standards. Don lemon is back on the air. Could you have imagined if a Tucker Carlson had said that? If a conservative host on Fox had said that our newsmax had said that the left wouldn't have stopped until they were fired. For sure, but that's, I guess that's the difference is like, well, they're always there will always be a double standard. But I look at it as that's his corner. So why would they attack it? But is there a certain point in time? I mean, there is really a corner for that. I mean, there shouldn't be, but they're obviously is.

'Bomb cyclone' brings damaging winds, drenches California

California braces for more storms following Saturday's flood
"California residents brace for another round of powerful storms this week and weekend after flooding from New Year's Eve storms killed one person forced jail evacuations and washed away a section of a levee system. In Sacramento county crews rushed to repair a levee system protecting 53 square miles of mostly vineyards and cattle ranches, hoping to finish before the next atmospheric rivers hit. It is going to be bringing the potential for significant flooding and this will also include concerns for debris flows and rock and landslides. And national weather service meteorologist Andrew orrison says another three to 6 inches of rain and this will actually even include some of the cities like the San Francisco Bay Area on down towards Monterey. Higher elevations like the Sierra nevadas could get 6 to 8 inches and snow could fall, which he says is not all bad. It's going to actually be very, very good news for the longer term water supply considerations for the state of California. I'm Julie Walker.

NYC machete attack: Man arrested on attempted murder charges
"The 19 year old accused of attacking three police officers with a machete near Times Square on New Year's Eve is expected to be arranged tomorrow. Meanwhile, his mother reached out to police last month to express concerns about him. Police in wells Maine were Trevor bickford is from say they notified the FBI about him, and if the 19 year old was radicalized, he was not overt about it. Officials going through bickford's online posting say they include Islamic extremist views, the FBI says they believe he acted alone and NYPD chief of intelligence Thomas galadi tells WABC TV bickford knew what he was doing and why he was doing it. During the attack he did yell out, I thought, you know, and I believe he thought that this would be. Suicide by cop. "The 19 year old who police say attacked three officers with a machete in Times Square on New Year's Eve was charged today with attempted murder. Police say Trevor bickford from wells Maine was charged with two counts of attempted murder and two counts of assault, the officers are out of the hospital. One was hit in the head with the machete another suffered a bad cut, bickford was shot in the shoulder, a law enforcement official told the AP investigators were looking into whether he was inspired by radical Islamic extremism. 1 dead, 9 hurt in Alabama shooting near New Year's Eve party
"There was a violent start to the new year and mobile Alabama where a person was killed near a downtown celebration event. Thousands of revelers were in the streets of downtown mobile Alabama for the moon pie over mobile festival. Shots rang out less than an hour before midnight. Police are seen rushing on foot and by horseback several blocks away from the main concert stage. Nearly a dozen people were injured in the shooting, one of them fatally. Police say it appears the gunman knew the victim and this was not random. "Week for a game of the Middlesbrough and I'd sell out what Harry read that my manager at West Ham. We just couldn't say eye to eye. And we had an argument on the Friday, and he dropped me on the Friday, the boys went up to Middlesbrough. And it was an old trick that managers used back in the day down where if you fill out with a manager, they would always take it on a way trips and not even put you on the bench. It was like a punishment. So they wouldn't so they wouldn't put you in the squad for like say a home game because it's not much of a punishment because you're there anyway. The taking all the way to the Middlesbrough to travel overnight and then what we call Lucas 8 man to put your look as I admired 15th man as it was back then. So you just sit there, you just wasted and you've just managed to ruin your weekend as a punishment. And the lads got beat 5 zero one junior was on fire Emerson boxing all these boys I think were at the time. And it was fuming with the players. He's called an a meeting on on a Sunday morning back at Chadwick, but we got back from Middlesbrough. It's 12 1 o'clock in the morning, so we've just got an hour or two in back in London. I was late for that meeting on the Sunday morning. He went ballistic. What was your punishment? Just fell out of each other. That wasn't fine. It wasn't a job 'cause I wasn't, I wasn't playing anyway because I was dropped for a period of time. So it was just more angst between him and me. Lucas saved man sounds like the worst superhero. "Doesn't it? It has to do something. I thought we already had this conversation, then following the game against athletic commandry. Where you could hear in this stadium, a good majority of the stadium, really. You could hear them chanting more, no more no more, which if you don't know it's monkey monkey monkey. They were already doing this to an eastern junior against Atlético Marie. And to the point that Shaka was making the time just goes by and nothing really happens. Well, there were supposed to be fans that were going to be persecuted, right? And then early in December, Spanish prosecutor comes out and says, no, we can not treat this as a crime because it only happened for a few seconds. And look, it was in the middle of a maximum rivalry. It was a heated moment. So if it is for a short period of time, and it is within the boundaries of a rivalry, then yeah, sure you can be a racist. This is the message coming from a prosecutor from the guy who ripped from a person who represents the law in Spain. So yes, we are right to focus on tevas, but this is a society issue. If a person who represents the laws, the legal system in Spain, it's telling you that, look, if you're a racist for a few seconds and if it is within the boundaries of a rivalry, it's okay. Go ahead and do it. It tells you everything that you need to know as to how significant and how big of a problem this is. It's not a few people. It's not just a couple of guys in the corner. No, it's something that is well within and trench the fan bases and until it is addressed and until it becomes zero tolerance, it will continue to happen. What do you do, sir? Easy solution is close the stand, close these stand. If you want to get deeper into it for every paying patron coming into that stand, that money to antiracist education within that within that tone within that city, however you want to split it up. There's a million ways that the league can go about addressing these issues. As I say, you want to kind of simple nobody ask any questions approach. Just close the stand. That's a suspension. And you see that everybody in the league, you found guilty we have evidence of racial abuse. The era of the silent majority is long past us. If you aren't speaking out against it, then you're guilty by association. Close the edge and if you wouldn't chanting and you're affected, but then you also need to do better. Again, you want to get a little bit more complex. You can start about enacting anti racism education in schools in high schools and workplaces around your fanbase with fan groups. However you want to do it. But just let it be meaningful. Let it be visible so that when black players suffer this kind of abuse, they feel that the league is supporting them, that is hearing their pleas and something, even if it's a long-term proposal, something is being done. La Liga then is back next weekend.

I mean, if you want to talk about La Liga fighting racism for years and you want to provide evidence of that, asam mulatto, as Daniel alves, ours finishes junior, what has happened in the last year, that maybe points to that. This will be forgotten, the league will do nothing about it until somebody goes and abuses another black player in the league again and will probably just regurgitate that Seymour rhetoric. It's not convincing to anybody who's paying any attention is not convincing to any of the black players in the league, tebas has to do better. The head of CNN. Chris licked, my told you is going to do great things at that network. He's still making sweeping changes. You know, he got rid of Brian stelter as we know, the guy who also the guy who was jerking off during the Zoom call, Jeffrey too, but he's gone. He took Don lemon's prime time shell away, and now he's really changing things. It was announced that there will be no more drinking alcohol during CNN's New Year's Eve broadcast. Doesn't Chris lick no, that was the only reason why any of us tuned in to see Andy Collin lit up with Anderson Cooper who could barely handle a shot. We used to have a drunk Kathy Griffin with a lot of fun people, Don Lennon was loaded, dancing, it's fun. Give him one day a year to be assholes. Well, seen in their assholes, all year long. But you know, one day is not that big. But no, he cut it out. No more alcohol. So I'm watching this show, the sitcom story, you know, no show ever, ever says anything nice about rosemary. You guys know rosemary. I don't think all of you do. You might act like you do, but you don't. Those of you under 40, 45, probably have no clue. Rosemary was great on the Dick Van Dyke show. Before Laverne defazio, rona Morgan stern was the first girl on a sitcom that, as an Italian kid, or as a city kid, you'd go, I mean, I grew up a Long Island, but I still had a little bit of Brooklyn in me. You see that girl and you go, oh yeah, that's my cousins. That's our Friends. I know wrote a Morgan stern. Jewish or Italian same thing. Laverne de fazio, same thing. I didn't grow up with Cindy's. I grew up with Laverne's. And I grew up with rhoda's not Mary Tyler Moore's. And it was wonderful to see her because then you said, oh my God, there's a chance for all of us to get work. Thinking back when I was a kid, I had no idea that kind of talk bothered women. Because I saw my mother and my sisters laugh at those comments. So how could any of us think that what they were saying was improper? You know what I mean? And then Betty White, they showed Betty White. I know Betty White way older than me, but I can't explain it. I had a crush on him. I remember being a teenager. And thinking, you know what? "Breaking news developing right now in the mall of America is on lockdown due to a shooting. Now, I know some people would like to imagine that this is another active shooter situation with rifles so they can ban guns, but it seems like it's an isolated situation to be confirmed as an isolated situation according to the mall. There's a short video that they posted on Twitter that shows a man walking into the Nike store while shouting and a sound of three apparent gunshots can be heard. "Or even more things. Just like this where i have nothing written. Not even bullet points. Where i just sit down in front of the mike and babble. I definitely be lying if i said. Twenty twenty didn't hurt me seeing that cycle of savings for my day job and then losing a job and seeing those savings. Go away whether it's due to a layoff or some kind of health emergency it's gotten old. It's funny when people talk about the movie up that beginning where everybody's like man. That's just so beautiful but so tragic. I mean that's almost my wife in me except were both still here. Fortunately every time the jar fills up it goes away if we wanted to have children health condition. I have ensures that we couldn't so many scenes in that beginning hit home but another aspect of that movie that hits home even though i'm not really fond of up his the thought that just sometimes everyday life has its own magic. While i was unemployed my wife. And i found all these new hiking trails. We came up with some cool ideas this year. In even though the whole thing with submitting a magic life actually hurt and why wouldn it. It seemed like this was going to be the year in now. It seems like i've gone through every option. And i'm coming to an end. If nothing happens with that book there are two more after it. And i'm not the kind of person who just bales on a project and goes to the next thing that might make some or might not. This is the story. I'm invested in so i'm going to write those other two novels no matter what maybe they get released here. Maybe they just end up in a drawer. I don't know. But every single time. I said i don't know about twenty twenty and even the future the two things that i'm sure about our that. My wife and i will always make it somehow. I mean it's it's just what we do. We've been doing that for twenty nine years and we always keep going in his. We've talked about twenty twenty one. Both of us have some good plans in for me. One of those things is the other thing. I can rely upon this show as i mentioned in the most recent behind the cut i plan to release eight episodes this year and by this year. I mean the november beginning of a new year for not about lumberjacks to november of twenty twenty one. But that still means six new episodes before thanksgiving next year.
