And you see all the moves that Ronnie, the legendary Ronnie Francis, the man in charge, and I got to give a little brother to my brother. Because Ricky, I'm going to give my brother Ricky VP. Full disclosure. Yes, he is the smartest soul check we know that. He went to Brown. He went to Cornell. I know, okay. I get it. It's the closest I ever got to an Ivy League school. We're standing next to my brother. I understand that. But they get the start of the year. I will say this is that there seem to be this, I don't even know what the right word is. But the sense that I always Seattle doing this, it's the same team from last year. Yeah. It's not the same team. Most importantly, they got jaded Schwartz back who was hurt, the majority of the year. They lost ten of for the majority of the year. You got two guys that Schwartz for sure top 6. Can of can bounce up and down a lineup and he gives you a little bit of different look that you need, especially come play off time. So they didn't have those guys. They brought in Maddie veneers, right? At the end of last year, he got ten games or whatever 9, whatever it was, then you added Björk strand, you or you added burakovsky. So just take the forwards right there, ray. So you're kind of to your question. Your thought, those 5 guys, it's a lot. If all of a sudden taking a team that was offensively challenged, they're going to have the puck way more now than they did last year. Now, taking a step further, they brought in Justin Schultz, they traded geo to Toronto, and that opened up the door for Vince Dunn, who had a career year this year, and they paired him with who I think a guy that doesn't get enough credit for how good he is defensively and that's Adam Larson to see him every day and to see the impact he has on that team. So Larson and Dunn, I don't know if that's a country group or not that I well wait. But it's close. Yeah, you know, I know. It's what happens when you get old. So it's a way different team. It is not what they were last year, so look it. Was I surprised that, you know, that the scored as much as he did, especially 505? Yeah. I guess I can. But then, I'll just take a step further. And I'll wrap up. They pick up Ellie told it. A guy that never and look at, I talked to the guy. He never got a sniff in a top 6 at national. Never and they picked him up on waivers and said, you know what? Yeah, you could shoot. But here's the thing. He came to Seattle. He didn't get in a light up for the first 22 days of the season. Like he didn't play. And all of a sudden they put him in? And they put him in with Yanni gourde and that guy just saw everybody Gord is the star that stirs the drink so to speak. Like

It would create more stringent requirements for a child to be returned to birth parents who have lost custody, more from northwest news radios, carlene Johnson. According to detectives, Jordan Bowers and Andrew Carlson Oakley's biological parents have not cooperated with the search for their daughter. Today, Oakley's foster mom, Jamie joles, testified in support of legislation that would require the department of children youth and families to more closely monitor families in their system and ensure children are not being harmed. I have now read police reports where her siblings said the Ole was repeatedly starved. They have stated that Oakley, a four year old child at this time, was forced to sit at a table, watch the family eat, but she would not be given anything. Her siblings would cry and beg for her to be fed, but they knew better than to try and help out of fear of retribution. Allison kretzer with D.C. YF told lawmakers rampant drug issues are at the root of problems with families in their system, but she said ultimately courts decide if a child is returned to biological parents. Courts will order treatment and then parents comply or don't with those court orders and those services that are available, but if there are active safety threats, if there is active risk to the child, the department would not recommend reunification. Part of the bill, D.C., YF would have to perform casework supervision for a minimum of 5 years before conducting a final hearing and closing a case. Carlene Johnson northwest news radio. "So let's go back to game three. So there was some obvious bad blood there with the high hit that Nelson took from goudreau. Given where the game was by the end of it when who was a kuchar off given pajo the business on the empty net, no free goals there and that kind of got things going and at that point when I talked about the I got a feeling all of a sudden the islanders make the series two one and they're dragging Tampa into their game into the mud get very aggressive. Well, I thought that that was going to be advantage for the islanders moving into game four, but that wasn't the case. And I mean, would you not agree in the fact that in that style of game that that's not Tampa style? I don't think it is, but I think one of the biggest things they talked about after last year's debacle was making it more their style and making and that's why pat maroons brought in and that's why you see them go out and make the deals for goodwill and Coleman and understandably you can't get pushed around. So I think that the islanders did their best and we saw before game four. We're checking in on Twitter and before the game they're going at it at the red line. Right. I mean, maroon's talking to Johnston, who's in the lineup because I believe Suzuki was out and Martin's in the mix and what I really like from Tampa is, yeah, they got guys like bat and they got maroon and some bigger guys, Luke Shen's willing to fight, of course, but today what stuck out was Matt Martin takes a late shot. I think it was the end of the first period. You could tell I was actually surprised they didn't call a penalty. I guess it's playoff game, no need to, but who stepped in their chat and Kurt, can you kind of got rag dolled a little bit, Martin's an animal, but still just to get in there and show that the entire team won't back down. And I think that's what makes kucherov so special is he's such a competitor and when he was chasing down Peugeot in game three, I bet you like Cooper's thing and please don't take a suspension, please because he's nuts. You know what I mean? He's like the wires crossed and that was a pretty big slash and I really respected Paso to stick right back up to him. That kid doesn't give a shit. He's willing to fight. But the whole Tampa team has changed. The way they play their physical, they're not shying away, and they're not afraid. You're saying the old Tampa tea might have shied away there, but they go out and they get Shen, they sign him. Of course, maroon, Coleman. Now let's go back to game four first goal his fault. He cheats a little bit on Nelson. He ends up getting walked, Nelson puts in that beauty who's, oh my God, this guy, I actually saw a clip that Kevin Connolly actually drafted him. He was sent up to the podium. Did you see that? Yeah, that was good stuff, yeah. Yeah. He made the call. He got to go up there and make the call. And I mean, that kid has turned into quite the player for them. I think you said what 11 goals now in playoffs? No, it was his 9th. It was his 9th, but I believe that since 93, the most in a playoff years, been ray Ferraro with ten, I thought the stat was. So Nelson can break that if he a couple more. And yeah, that was a great shot. But Coleman, what you mentioned was makes a huge mistake. What does he do? Next shift. Comes back and makes up for it. And I will say that I've talked over the years of this podcast, one of the best passes I've ever seen with my own eyes. Is Eric Carlson saucer pass to Mike Hoffman in the garden. Over the entire bruins team landed on his stick when they were with Ottawa and he went down and buried. Yanni gourde had a very similar pass on that Coleman goal. It was just an amazing play. He's got his back against the wall behind this goalie. He's beneath the goal on he flicks it up over everyone and leads Coleman perfectly into it and he goes down, got a little lucky getting under the underneath the puck underneath one of them off saw a stick. You know, the stick went down and he's able to talk. It was a nice goal, but to be able to make a mistake and now the person watching a game, they might not even have noticed that that goal was kind of Coleman's fault. I forget who the sentiment was that was up chasing up high, but barzel dished it over, was it parcel dished it over to whom I think I'm Nelson. And Coleman had cheated Coleman thought there was going to be a turnover. He cheated offensively. That's his guy who scores that goal. And he comes right back. And that's the thing. You can not dwell on mistakes, especially in the playoffs, to see a guy, especially sorry. I threw the G in there. I'm really working on that. But he comes back and he does what he does. That's why this team is take a hike islander. Very resilient. And then.

It should have been a penalty. Many men on the is for them. Should it turned out to be a five on three. That is correct boom. Plus of a five on three with the face off in the lightning off defensive dog right as say jay and the reason why the jay feels this way and i'm sure a lot of owners feel this way is because it's not so much the guys that were leaving the ice..

I don't know if i agree with you on that one because think about it. Well the difference is is the style the play that the stars playing in the play that tampa bay place now tampa bay plays a very hard checking like i do but not as skilled as tampa bay right. I'm thinking about that line. I'm thinking about the third line so when you look at fox combo calculator. That's our by. That line will never be on ten bay. And then the third line for the for the tampa bay lightning is yanni gourde barclay goodrow. And you know texas his own Blake coleman so in those three guys. I mean those guys alone can score goals in probably could push for a second line on you know maybe half the teams in the league so i guess it depends on how you look at it. You know a lot of people. Say vince championships. But at the same time that third line was one of the reasons why the stars defeated us or the that the tampa bay lightning defeated us the stars in the stanley cup. Final was that depth of the third line and now part of it. Was you know injuries for us. But that third line destroyed us in the sand. The cup final. Yeah true. But i mean like you just think about you have so just for argument's sake. This isn't real pairings that i would do. Especially right now. People are playing so well. But for argument's sake let's say if everybody's healthy. The first line is pavelski. Been sagan second line on hints and roberson third line. Fcc faulkner caveat komo third lines. Fourth liner radulov is on the fourth line with dickinson and cave you rhonda tidily under and tinder kiro. And they're just they're not playing and those guys have been fairly decent for the stars issue. That's the scary thing. Yeah but if everybody's healthy we could theoretically have alexander radulov on the fourth line. That's insane but also on the flip side of this though is when you think about all the injuries of the stars of had would the emergence of jason robertson happened this year. If it wasn't for no it definitely. Yeah that's what. That's what i'm saying..
