The 12 Republican Traitors Who Supported 'Respect for Marriage Act'

"Yesterday about this respect for marriage act, and in a nutshell, this is going to put a target on every single church Christian school, Christian business owner in America. You're a nonprofit. They're going to yank your tax exempt status. That's what's going to happen with this. So they had to pass this thing. There was a major hurdle they had to pass, and they were able to do it last night. 12 Senate Republicans joined Democrats. To push through this plan to codify gay marriage. And again, this is not about gay marriage. This is about not protecting religious liberty. And there's a very good chance if this thing gets passed and it looks like it'll be passed with the entire Senate momentarily, and then it goes back to the house. And the house is going to pass it, and Biden's going to sign this into law. And then you will get a knock on the front door of your church from the Internal Revenue Service. That's what this is all about. So here are the 12 senators who joined the Democrats and I'm going to share these names, then you need to call these senators and you need to give them the what for. And then I want you to call us back and tell us what they said. But these are the senators who, by the way, previously were opposed to gay marriage to get elected, but now that they're in office, all of a sudden they've had a change of heart. So here they are. Roy blunt, Richard burr. Shelley capito, Susan Collins, Joni Ernst from Iowa, shame on you, Joni Ernst, Cynthia Loomis, Lisa Murkowski, typical rob Portman, Dan Sullivan, Mitt Romney, Tom tell us and Todd young.

A Last-Minute Upsurge of Votes for Democrats

"I'm continuing my discussion of Republicans and the midterms. Now, I haven't seen any data on this, but I was looking at social media and a couple of analysts whom I trust talked about a last minute upsurge of votes for the Democrats by young people. Now, for a lot of Republicans, this is like, yeah, I mean, we know, sure, young people, what do you expect? First of all, these guys haven't experienced life. And so they are, yes, idealists, so to speak, but just wait till they turn 30. They turn 40, and they have lives, and they have families, and they have economic practical things to deal with, mortgage payments, and taxes, and deal with inflation, and all of this is going to yank them from the left where they belong now to the right. And there is an element of truth to this, I suppose, which is to say that I've seen examples in cases of people who were like, you know, I used to be a Democrat in college, but man, now that I know what the world is like, and I know how to know how difficult it is to make things meet, make ends meet, I'm going to be voting for the party that protects my economic welfare that protects me. So you do have this economic basis for people moving right, but it's also, and there's been a lot of data on this. A lot of people's political opinions are forged at a pretty young age. In other words, in their late teens and early 20s, and this I know has been true of Debbie and me, David met Reagan when she was 14, she became a Republican in a sense. Then she recognized that she was. She's a Republican now. I became a young reaganite in college in the early 1980s. Look at me now. So in other words, regardless of the sort of vicissitudes of life, that kind of anchoring of our basic convictions remains the same.

"yanks" Discussed on Big Time Baseball

"With him for about 15 minutes on the pirates 2018, I think it was. I can't even remember what year it was. He is a stud. He is unbelievable. He talked about how the most important count for a pitcher when you're pitching to any hitter is the one one count, because the swing and batting average if it's a ball from two one to one two, if it's a strike, is the biggest swing. This game three went to one one right now. It's the biggest game of the series. I think whoever wins game three is gonna win. I think the Phillies, the atmosphere in Philly, is second to New York is probably one of the toughest places to play, but I think that the Padres in Joe musgrove have the advantage with the pitching with the starting pitching. I think the Padres take game three and go on to win the series, but barely. with that assessment, not only that, Joe musgrove. Now keep in mind, Joe musgrove tonight, as we're currently sitting here on Friday, Friday evening will be the next ball game. You can check that out. Of course, on FS1. By the way, also check out the carton show on FS1. Why not? Some guys on it. But also on top of that, listen, Joe musgrove faced the Phillies once this year. And he got roughed up, 6 runs, 6 innings. Ranger Suarez did not have a very good year. But he faced the San Diego Padres, and he shoved that game. He went to the 8th inning only giving up two runs. Now, of course, that is a small sample size. One ball game, and this is a different ball club. I think on both sides right now, but I'm gonna agree with you. I think Joe musgrove gives the Padres the advantage of game three. I think they go on to win the series. However, I do think it's gonna be a two two series going into game 5 because they got Noah syndergaard taking on Mike Clevenger in game four and I don't have anything against my Clevenger, but I'm not feeling as confident in Mike Clevenger as I say I am Joe musgrove. I mean, Joe musgrove is absolutely a stud, especially last year and this year. He's really grown into himself and turned into a top of the line rotation guy. And he's number three for the Padres. Is that crazy? He's a top of the end guy. He's pitching for number three for them, but I like what you just talked about. Sometimes a lineup or sometimes a hitter just doesn't see the ball out of a specific guy's hand. So we got Suarez who shoved. Even though he didn't have a great year against this team and we got musgrove who shoved all year, didn't have a great outing against the Phillies. So I think maybe today might be a better matchup than I originally thought now that you point that out, but I'm going to go with my horse. Musgrove is the horse in this situation. You bet on the horse. Yep. I dig it. I dig it a lot to the point where listen, I'm an ex padre, I love me some San Diego Padres. A part of me was just so I was happy as I was that they beat the Dodgers. I'm still can't believe they did. I'm like, I still look back at it. I'm like thinking, is this real life? Did this seriously take place that the Dodgers legitimately drop another series, but this time to the Padres? Oh man, it was just so, so sweet. So great. And the padre fans are just eating it up, which, hey, listen, you're the padre fans have not had a lot to root for over a 52 year span, so man, enjoy every second of this and I hope they do get to the World Series. But before we wrap this up Ryan and I want to thank you so much for joining me today. By the way, Ryan, where can people follow you on social media? Instagram, all of our Twitter, Ryan lavarnway, and Ryan levon way dot com is under construction. Oh, baby. And by the way, Ryan larman has become a very fun follow on Instagram. So make sure you guys check him out over there. But before we finish up, I just want to ask you one question. What are your thoughts on free agency and obviously we're only going to mention, I'm really only going to mention three names. And I'm very intrigued by this. And the reason I'm going to mention three names, obviously, we'll mention Aaron judge. I mean, it's going to be everybody's talk, talk about for the next four months. Where is Aaron judge going to be? And in my opinion, as much as every fandom was going to be like, oh, cubs fans will come to Chicago. The ricketts ain't paying any money to Aaron judge. Let's be real clear. There's really only in my eyes two places he's going. Just to. He's either remaining at New York Yankee and as much as Metz fans want to pretend Aaron judge is coming over to queens. It ain't happening. He's either going to be a Yankee or he's going home to San Francisco to be a San Francisco giant. What say you? Does he think the Giants are going to be a contender in the short term? When he's in his prime, is my question there. If I am Aaron judge, which I am very much not, I want to be a pinstripe for my career, I want a statue. I want to be out in monument park. I want a chance to win because they have a team right now that if they put it together, they should be the best team in baseball. Right now we just talked about the Astros are the best team in baseball, but the Yankees have every chance to compete in that division, which is a little weaker than a historically has been, so they're going to be in the playoffs. They have all the pieces, and if they add any more pieces, they're just going to be ridiculous. But if I'm Aaron judge, I'm looking for the Yankees to back up the brinks truck. You know, he's not the 27 year old free agent. He's a little bit older, so we're not going to see the years, but I think the annual pay, the per year pay is going to be among the highest that we've seen. I think you were absolutely right. Now here's the question, does he take those years? I don't know. This is why I really think San Francisco comes into play because I think San Francisco who has as much money as anybody. I can not stress that enough. I think they'd be willing to give the years along with the salary. That's just my thought. Now, do I know that for a fact? I do not. That's why speculation right now, but there's a reason why that team didn't go and sign any free agents the last two years. They got money. And I think they're looking to spend it. And here's the other two players I want to mention real quick, just before we sign off. Carlos Correa, any other year, like last year, would have a stranglehold on the market. That ain't the case this year, because the Dodgers have a lot of free agents available, specifically one name I want to mention. And that is Trey Turner. If you are

Who Most Inspired Pastor John Amanchukwu?

"Of the questions I love the most. Because sometimes it's strange answers. It's not the father. It's the grandfather. It's the coach. It's somebody from boy scouts. Who was most influential for you. In your understanding, what you said about St. Paul's epistle. That transition from boyhood to manhood, who was a role model who was a person who you said, yeah, that's what I want to be. I would have to say it's my father in law, bishop Patrick lane, wooden senior. I met him at the age of 19 and while playing football at North Carolina state university. I would get to church on Sunday mornings by 5 30 a.m., I would meet him there, help him carry his briefcase and support him. There was nothing too big, nothing too small. And I believe that true manhood comes through servants. Servitude, you learn to bring yourself down. You learn to be humble. You learn humility. Every man needs someone that can yank his chain. And every man needs someone in their life who's going to tell them the truth or part of whether they want to hear it or not. You are left in a bad place if you're in a situation where no one can correct you. If someone goes toe to toe with you, you view it as them challenging your authority. No, we all need someone in our life. Who's going to be honest with us beyond our spouses, right? Because sometimes we don't even want to listen to them. So we need another man, you know? Who's accomplished more than us? Who have been places that we would never get to to tell us and to look us in our eyes and say, you know what? You got that wrong.

Hey a lot of african americans qualified to be promoted on the certification list. They must've been cheating and then he had to go and find what i happen to be. The one he found the agents had shipments complaint against him initiated a years long inspector general investigation against him in two thousand seven that sidetracked his career before exonerated him. The department of justice confirmed shipment had initiated an investigation against an agent over accusations of cheating in two thousand seven however they would not release the report confirming for details about it..

"And was proving that he could stay healthy for a large stretch of games. It was the most he's played in four years. And people were advocating when the Yankees were hovering around 500. So maybe just tear it all down at the trade deadline. Trade Aaron judge at max value, see what prospects you can get. You're not running this back in 2022. You're not, because if Aaron judges you're only good player, nobody else is producing, then you're just you're repeating something that's not working. So people advocated for trading Aaron judge. We export some trade packages, you specifically. Some interesting ones too that I think definitely definitely made the conversation a little bit more intelligible because it wasn't out of the question. If the Yankees didn't make the moves that they made, or if they had or if some teams outbid them, or if they had trouble parting with some prospects that they didn't want to, then we're not in this situation. But guys, trading Aaron judges never the right decision. I think why else for another for a million other reasons why Adam? Why is this the wrong decision? He's the team MVP. He's like the best homegrown Yankee in like 20 years. He changes everything about the construction of the team. He's playing center field this year. I think that's worth noting that when they go to NL ballparks, they go, Aaron, you're like the best defensive right Fielder in baseball. You want to go play center fields or Joey Gallo could play left and jump Carlos Stanton could play right. And he goes, yeah, sure, fine. Our judge is not the problem. If Aaron judge worthy, I mean, I'm like rolling my eyes out of the back of my head. You know why? Because we're the New York Yankees. And we can absorb bad contracts. And whether people grouse about a salary cap or a salary floor or whatnot, we will always be able to afford Giancarlo Stan Garrett Cole and an Aaron judge deal, which, by the way, will not be that expensive. The next Aaron judge deal is gonna clock. He's like 30 years old. People are using that as an argument for why you shouldn't pay him. It's an argument for why you should pay him 6 years and one 80 or 6 years and two 20s, 7 years and two 30, like Erin judge deal is not gonna be ten years, $380 million. The New York Yankees will always be the New York Yankees and they can always afford it and if they're telling you they can't, they're lying to you. So if Aaron judge really were The Crown jewel on an awful baseball team, the Cedric Mullins on the 20 consecutive loss Orioles, sure, trade him, fine. But when the Red Sox acted like this and traded Mookie betts, we all laughed..

"And a lot's gonna change depending on September and October. 'cause I don't know. Maybe they lose the wild card game. And a complete implosion feels necessary. Maybe they go on a magical run in Jewish Ella is the ALCS MVP. They're probably not trading with that peak as much as they'd like to. Honestly, it's ridiculous, but the small sample size of September and October are probably going to affect this team's next steps more. And then you want them to. Maybe they wouldn't for a ruthless asshole team like the Red Sox who, you know, Red Sox propaganda in full force. Again, as they choke away every bit of their lead, I still saw a lot of hunter Renfro as outperforming Mookie betts takes on Tuesday. Yeah, have them fucking both losers. You could have both. You could have both players. I think an asshole team like the Red Sox would not look at the narrative and would just go and start stripping bear. It doesn't matter who the ALCS MVP is. If we're gonna have a confusing fit for him on the roster in 2024, then he's gone. But I do think the eggies are gonna look at that. And I do think, you know, or shalla is more likely to be the odd man out and then they use a combination of like Wayne Velazquez on the bench next year, move labor to second move DJ to third, mess around, you know, extending or extend Rizzo, keep boy, whatnot. I think the next month that I have is going to matter. But as of now, I do think Velazquez probably the first man off the roster for Torres and they're using him now to use him as long as they have him. Yeah. It's unfortunate, but we hopefully have better guys coming back. Hopefully we're Torres got the rest that he needed to kind of get back on track. We still have not seen what we needed to see from him this year. Maybe that now that's going to be something that you have to watch in September because are they going to want to go into the playoffs with a shaky labor shaky defensive glaber if he doesn't look good over the last three weeks of the season at short?.

"I don't know, maybe his shoulder issue is real because I think the Yankees would prefer to not have to deal with him for the remainder of the season. I suspect I don't think they want to I don't think they want to go out of the way and bend over backwards to jammed mink or Herman back on the roster. He's participated in some of the worst games of the year. The four nothing Fenway game, awful. Although he was great, yeah. How quickly we forget, actually, he was the good part of that game. But then the 7 two blown gaming Houston. Oof. He was a big part of the oof. Fart noise. I would suspect the Yankees probably don't want to jam him back onto this roster. I agree. Luis severino. The structurally wrong with his shoulder. And with a little bit of a depleted bullpen, I think you would sign up for one or two severino innings every couple days. Yeah. I don't think that's a bad thing. I'm not banking on it. I'm not banking on it, but I don't think you have to get to the point where you're like doing mental math. How can we get Luis severino off this roster? Like, no, him in the bullpen, that'd be pretty cool. Severino Kluber, Hermann. Glaber Torres Torres is gonna be the starting shortstop of this team in probably another week and a half. That's four guys you probably have to come on to this roster for one spot, right? The maximum number is four, I don't think you're gonna be seeing anyone other than those four, and there's only one free space on the roster. Again, presuming you want Louis heel for that 27 spot. So what do you do? Alaska is probably gonna go. Yep. Andrew Velasquez probably probably gotta go at some point. In terms of starters and relievers, Andrew heaney gonna get cut. Maybe. I mean, what are we looking at Albert Abreu, Andrew heeni, Tyler ray Andrew Velasquez, Tyler Don Velasquez. A combination of whatever those three need to go. I mean, I'm not, are we crazy about it? No, but we're theoretically getting better players in return, even though these guys are igniting us in very different ways. Well, it probably won't. But it's going to be complicated. It's going to people will be upset. Nobody wants to see Velasquez go. I think we could all agree that we talked about that at length on the last pod. It's tough. But the Yankees are the eggs have a situation right now where a number of guys are coming back. Obviously, that could change if somebody has a really bad week in the bullpen and the Yankees want to make a shift there, then who knows, but we're gonna be looking at some guys who have been very integral to the last two weeks of action that have seen the Yankees go from 61 and 50 to 74 and 52. And they won't be here anymore, unfortunately. Velasquez is a prime example of probably like how much do the Yankees want to squeeze from this stone? Yep. You know, he's not an offensive player. He's been ignited by The Bronx..

"Guy in the hybrid. It's time for another ten days off for Chapman. Remember when he pitched in the when everything turned around, honestly, when he pitched in the 9th inning of the 13 one Mariners game. Yeah. Like, about a month and a half ago, it's time for more of that. We're gonna need to send Chapman back to the 13 one games for a while because this ain't happening. I mean, do we have a problem with putting him in in the 7th or something? Do we have to kick a roll this Chapman's peeves to the next planet? I don't have an issue. Yeah. Yeah, why can't we maybe it's an ego thing? I don't like we said. We're not in the locker room. We don't know what's going on. Roll the shopping clearly can not close games at an efficient clip, if at all, he's had a problem throwing his fastball for now. It's going on three months. This is not there's no exaggeration here. It's a very big problem with the bullpen, very sad for Zach britton. He's at a hellacious season between the COVID and January to the elbow surge. The elbow injury early in spring training that resulted in surgery. Then the setback with the elbow, then the hamstring injury, now another setback with the elbow who's going to see a Tom John specialist when the team is on the road trip on the West Coast. His career could be over. Like you said, if it's Tommy John, then it's done. That means he's out until next September. And then that's just the end of it. He's done for this season. I think we can safely assume that. So now that creates a bit of an issue, obviously, the issue is always there because Britain was not serviceable in any capacity. I think he's had like three or four clean outings out of his 22 Red Sox rotation and rightfully so. But we just lost a 6 ERA set up, man. What it is. I don't know what they're gonna do. The Wisecrack should be the closer we've been saying this for how long now I don't see the issue with bringing in Chapman in make Chapman the new Chad green guy Chad green was kind of the fireman for this bullpen for the last three years. Why not make that Chapman for the time being until he gets his bearings? Maybe he doesn't get his bearings in he has to remain in that role, but like imagine a lineup being like, oh shit, Chapman's coming in in the 7th. Like, here we go. He obviously, there's something wrong with his control. There's something wrong with his confidence. Is he still dealing with a fingernail issue? I'd literally have no idea, but he can't throw the fastball. The fastball. He's the easiest pitch to throw is the fastball for all you folks out there who have played baseball. It's inexplicable at this point..

"And we were left thinking, juani Paul to first and foremost after Tuesday's game to secure that sweep. I mean, there's a reason he got the championship belt and it's not just like, you know, it's a championship belt and official measuring stick a real legit metric of who was most valuable to team success. I mean, you can't quantify the belt, but Peralta gets the damn belt for what he did in that one. It never. I mean, baseball is a funny game, right? They won ten games in a row. You got hean Ian Morton on the mound. You go, we're not winning this game. This is a terrible matchup, you know, the braves are gonna crush him. Freddy Freeman strike three call in the first inning gets robbed and suddenly he gives up two two out runs. Okay, and it's like, yep, there, you know, there we go. We're not gonna hit more than 5 standing hits a laser. Gary ties the game beats the shift. DJ takes a two run lead. Yankees get out of the 5th inning with a lucky call on the Freddie Freeman, slide into home plate. Who knows, look safe to me look safe to you? Probably replay. It's kind of unclear if his foot's on the planet or just hovering over it. That's definitely the home or take, but it's also the even handed take the damn umpires. That's their take. So what do you want from me? What do you want? What do you want? Door hits a home run for insurance. It's 5 three. We got Chapman in the 9th. Everyone in your mother knows this is gonna come down to a Chapman appearance, just a matter of whether it's an easy chair in appearance or a bad one. With two outs and one on, it's a good Chapman appearance. It's totally fine Chapman appearance. A area adrianza coming up as the final out, probably not gonna Homer my gap one might make it a little sweaty, you might bring Ozzy, obviously the plate probably not gonna get a hit. Doesn't even throw a pitch close to the plate, not even in the realm, not even in the vicinity. And as soon as adrianza walks, it's like every Yankee fans motor clicks back into place, you're dreading.

"Montgomery and proactive bullpen management. Then one and excruciating game behind Andrew heaney and excellent bullpen management, the starter went for innings, didn't matter everybody except the role as Chapman was nails, dynamite, et cetera. We do have to talk about Chapman, obviously, we gotta talk about Peralta, who Andrew he and he said, has a ton of nuts to throw four straight changes to Freddie Freeman. We agree, he also slapped himself in the face like a maniac. We gotta talk about the roster moves that are upcoming that you don't want we don't want, but they're gonna happen. And we gotta talk about the worst takes of the first half because 11 wins in a row for the first time since 1985. I think that's enough to revisit some poor takes for a couple of weeks ago. We're sitting there great. Just win the first one and then Morton can kick he and his ass. It won't really matter. Morton heenan. Yeah, not that I'm not that I'm sitting here saying Andrew he and he's bad. It's just the matchup is clearly clearly Morton has a very, very good career numbers against against the Yankees. Razor stole what are the five and a half off on the leaves five and a half right now. He's is where a little more than a week out on the trade deadline From the early returns here looks like the yankees have had a very successful trade deadline and the andrew. Haney good pickup. They've all been good. Pickups they've all found a way to contribute hasn't hit well for average but he's found himself on data yankee stadium home tonight three ten like sand wedge shot without. I actually thought fuck gallo especially with a good pickup for them. That was That was a great pickup anthony. Rizzo helped transform the infield for them. They had playing well. They had a very successful trade deadline and we could very well be sitting here next week with them. Firmly in a wildcard spurts. F definitely trending towards the wildcard at a minimum. And who knows. I mean maybe tampa tampa. We're you know i mean they. They traded off some like they've got a lot of staff to make the payroll. Yes so tampa could come back down to two. I thought boston was was in better shape than they were. But now the yankee we'll give credit i little since we were last on the yankees have really turned things around nobody dramatic way. "Anything at all What i heard Was that they were probably looking at a couple of weeks before. He's back out there. On the practice field anticipates he would probably surprising you. Play the preseason But if he could be back on the practical maybe by the time. They're in cleveland for joint practices of the week after new england. But i don't think they're concerned necessarily hamstrings weird you know they linger sometimes and you think you're good and then it comes back and kinda got some hamstring issues in his career. So in that sense you keep in the back of my back from whatever. I don't think the giants are necessarily concerned as right now. So we've obviously covered some of the weird stuff that now nestle all stuff The offensive line kinda conundrum. Some of the negative stuff from the injuries who is looked great so far good so far. What what are some of the standouts that you've seen so far in camp. Say one thing that is clear that the secondary is going to be very good And daft talent at the top. James bradbury has been looking as good as he did last year. Go to some of the athleticism with dory and that you get a little more creative when they have better corner on that side. The safeties are going to be pretty good. I'm a guy that's airing. It's willing to fix on pack Greedy williams brother from brown's and he's played with the first team the last couple of days because the doors were getting rest. He's looked really good So i think the secondary like should be. It's really positive thing. Leonard williams looked pretty dominant spending this offensive line And you know running back. I think corey clemente's has been pretty interesting. I think a lot of these guys that are battling for fourth and fifth. Spot john ross. Ej board David sales like those guys have really stand out. It's gonna be hard for me to cut out of that group so they they have a lot of weapons receiver in their secondary. Is i think those are two of the bigger takeaways. You can have right now. You mentioned corey clement. There is there any update us. Should we be seeing saquon barkley herb hearing his name anytime soon to good question th. They're definitely taking it slow and they keep saying that i think really need it. We see out there the off to the side you know seems to be cutting and moving and jumping pretty well I think it's something like it's been like someone like nine or ten months had injury at this point or close to a year. Actually i guess he got into september so eleven months So i you know at this point. I'd be surprised if he didn't play in week. One but you know we have seen in practice field personnel until he actually out there and he's even a limited practice participant..

How's it going man. Great man how you doing doing very well So i guess we have because we know it's a few days remove now but let's get into a bunch things from camp but give me your guests. Rundown of this brawl fight thing with daniel jones ending up at the bottom of the pile like they know. It was a portion of the of the practice where they weren't allowing recording. Can you just kind of like give the best description of dying to hear it from like a. I like an eyewitness account. Yeah yeah i. It's one of those a lot of times when crazy things happening packers. You gotta look up. And you see that the end. But i i mean it was the team drill so we all had our eyes on the field and like happened that angle. Where like the media. You could see it. I would say but yeah like you were mentioning. The meat is not allowed to record during those team drills so we even if we had anything on our friend and we wouldn't be allowed share kind of thing but yeah so i mean i'll say it's one of the teen camp things i've seen a lot because the jones part of it but you know. Basically they mckinney. Hit corey clement. A little bit harder than you're supposed to hit your on teammate. And training camp and eminem ingram kinda shoved him a little bit. Kinda you know kinda kinda shove that happens all the time in the field where you shove a guy to get out of the way or whatever like i didn't really think that the on then logan ryan kind of comes running out of now and seven ingram from what i would say is the worst thing that happened during that fight. Yeah and that kind of set sets it off. You have everybody running over. You have a big pile that forms somehow jones at the bottom of the pile all of a sudden. No good kenny. Wiggins henny way to talk to you. He said he heard people yelling at the the pilots policy me. Random pulled them out of their quarterback on and then after that comes joe jackson punishment is pretty severe. He just went crazy judge. Yes yes. I mean he screamed for twenty minutes straight more probably set a record for and and then you had them run gas which at least is running the first the length of the field. The running back needed to thirty up. Something that another gaffer's thirty more pushups and then he yell at them for like another ten minutes You'll you'll never so much at one point. The coaches were about to walk over to the huddle where he was. The eldest after backups. To stay at the line 'cause he just wanted to be off the players themselves Sound like the combination of everything. There was a it was just like an escalation. It sounded like a friday night lights episode. It sounded like a like just like a whole a. That's pretty crazy. Yeah i mean the players that a lot of the guys have been playing off like it's just training camp that i think it was more than just usually training camp fight..

"This is one of the things that we've always said and it's been a term that's been around baseball for a long time as you have to have a short memory. The time for the mets to have that short memory was coming out of that marlins series and saying okay. We lost three out of four but we can make up for it right now. This is the more important series. Anyway this is the one we've got to win. Put some were still in first place. You put some distance between us and the second place team and they just didn't do it and by the close i don't know if it was a matter of not having that short memory and still looking back at how bad you are in the marlins series and letting that carry over and how and to be fair. How bad they were in a bunch of series before that you're going back to the all star break. Maybe even a little before the all star break they. It's they didn't do themselves any favors. Here they had the long memory they looked as if they were looking back on those series and let it carry over and it really. It killed them. And that's it. That's really the bottom line and this little thing and they were lifeless and their backs are against the wall now and yet they were watching this weekend. Series was about as enjoyable as it was to be in traffic understand allen expressway on the way in does that but does that mean though that in the next series is going to be like their outback. The red sox are now in the second wildcard spot at oakland or even blue jays at yankees or yankees in. Toronto is starting to feel more likely than the old match ups and it's only august night. There's a lot of time left for this to flip but are you now. More bluejays focus than socks focused. I've in my head. I've been more. Balloons focused all year. Why this team is younger. This team is definitely more It's it's the the rousers deeper than the red sox. The red sox. How long have we talked about through the first half of the season yes. We were incredulous that at some point they were what twenty. Two games over five hundred. We wanted to slam our head into a brick wall but the holes on the red sox are obvious they don't have that good of a bullpen. They have a very bad starting rotation. I don't care how you'll spice it it's. it's a bunch of four era dudes. And it's nathan the overperforming you. Chris sales coming back great. Hope it's a good time for you folks in boston. But i just don't know how much of you're going to get from a guy coming off. Tommy john surgery playing the last six weeks of the season. I am only scared of the red sox from a mental edge. I think they have the moxie. I think they have the manager. I think they have the attitude to kick our ass. I don't think they have the talent to kick our ass. Which is why. I was excited. After the trade deadline's it seemed like we made those those foundational changes With with the culture that that needed to be adjusted in order to help us on that. But i've always been worried about the blue jays. We've been talking about this for a while. This is not going anywhere anytime soon. And we expect for the trade deadline we talked about how this game patched up a very very big deficiency of their in their bullpen. They lost all those guys in the beginning of the year. Kirby yates david felt julian meriwether. The list goes on and on and they went out and they got trevor richards from the brewers and they got adam cimber from the marlins and that kind of kick things off showing exactly where the blue jay stand..

"yanks" Discussed on Yanks Go Yard: A New York Yankees podcast

"This is the yanks go yard. Podcast and thomas paranoid dante. Welcome to monday edition of the yard. Podcast i'm adam. Winder belong side. Thomas karen and i can't be mad at the yankees for drop in the fourth in a four-game set because the first three games were so damn exciting. It's hard to be angry this team right now and i'm really going to be. They have dealt with endless adversity. More of it came this week and the only day they didn't punch back was sunday. They could ost thursday friday. Saturday took them all law. Sunday's game but you know what can you do. Can't win every day and the red sox laws on sunday was way worse than ours so take solace in that. We're gonna talk. Luby's he'll stephen writings. The breakout pitchers the people. We lost on sunday in the path awkward. But at this point it's hard to doubt this team's mojo even with the people they've lost so stick with it. You can find on apple podcast. Google podcast spotify. Wherever you get your podcast jobs as a five-star view along the mailbag question. We'll be more than happy to answer. It's scaring on a welcome to the podcast. Didn't you know have a lot of fun. Watching the offense. On sunday with luke void in anthony. Rizzo's plays hopefully. It's not a one for one swap. That is the reason for this struggles. I don't think it was. The offense. wasn't exactly red hot prior either but they just have a different field these days where you know you watch the old yankees you know. They could go six shutout innings followed by three shutout innings. Now you kind of feel like there's always a chance they're never dead even when they die and you know it's it's just a different team entirely. It's the old new york yankees the ones that were beating up on starting pitchers and wearing them down and getting on base in four run lee. Four run deficits were never really a concern because he knew you were getting at least to to Runners on base in terms of traffic the next inning with a power hitter coming up to the plate. So won't swing the bat. Changes the entire complexion of the game I'm really liking the vibes at this point. I told myself. I wasn't going to get mad at yesterday's lost by. How are you going to get mad. You win the first three games of the series and then the mayor it i. It is frustrating because the mariners did suck and they did the laid out baby out on a silver platter for us and the whole it was going to take. Was luke boyd. Putting a ball in play on two separate occasions or maybe aaron judge coming through with a hit here and there which he hasn't entirely look great but What are you gonna do. Three wins out of that four-game series against a team that you are directly competing within the wildcard Before heading to kansas city. I'll surely take. It got a big series against the white sox. But before we get into all this we have to We're getting we're getting some signal from from outside outside the outside planet earth attention listeners across the galaxy all the way from australia to houston we have pugh problem. If so our friends at Have cleared you for takeup at their fourth generation and brand new lawnmower four point. Oh kick your pup- so the next planet that's apparently The new climate initiative we gotta get cubes out of this earth to.
