How the Aaron Rodgers-Packers Drama Will Likely End
"Strikes out. looking yankee. Third base coach. Phil nevin was irate. Got thrown out either way. We go to extras tied at four top. Ten at fluey sesa during the pitching and a three to count. That's called the ball. And gary sanchez can't believe it. The yankees are frustrated. And then they would like this. Even last two onto that zander bogart's a basic both run score and the red sox winning six four completing the sweep again. It's the first time. The red sox walk into yankee stadium and leave with a sweep in a decade prior to this series. Boston lost eleven straight away games against the bombers. Moreover the red sox have now won five straight extra inning games at yankee stadium. We'll talk more about that later. Meanwhile now let's talk about this. Tomorrow is a significant day. In the development of the aaron rodgers sodden it is the first of three consecutive days of packers mandatory minicamp in his monthly column. Packers president. Mark murphy at this to say regarding the impact of the predicament. Quote the situation. We face with aaron rodgers has divided our fan base the emails and letters that i received reflect. New York Yankees miss chances, fall to Jays in opener
"Let me take you to another one yesterday yankees and bluejays on a chilly day. The opener a yankee stadium. And here's the highlights from this one. Bottom of two one. On for gary sanchez and gary. Sanchez has left the ballpark sanchez. The first yankee catcher to homer on opening day in eleven years jens have a two one league garrett cole now doing the pitching and not well oscar hernandez oh no doubt about that drills one the left in the six that ties the game two and garett cold not pleased bottom nine. Same score winning. Run it second. Aaron judge of the plate. Can he be the hero on opening day. That's the question. The answer is no judge. One for five struck out twice. We're going to extras top of the ten runners. At second randall. Grischuk pool rightfielder. Aaron judge can't get it no. We can't sixty five percent was the hit probability on this. It's an rbi double. The run comes around to score and that would be the difference. Blue jays win it three two in extras on opening day. And so back to you jessica mendoza. What's your number one takeaway from the ball game yesterday in the bronx gary sanchez. I mean you've got to remember a lot of people. Were watching last year gary sanchez. You didn't think he was eating a start or be in this lineup for the yankees. Because how bad help awesome. He was offensively last year. Being one forty seven six four strikeouts tech eight teen walks. His biggest thing coming in was to be able to sit back behind the baseball. That home run. You could use feel the pressure. Come off of him. Why because there's so many other guys in this lineup. That when they struggle. It's up to gary sanchez. And he's the difference maker to me because you know when it comes down to aaron judge who also struggled with this game carlos stanton both of those guys are prone to injuries. They're not going to be in this lineup throughout the entire season and to the big piece. That's missing because by the way it is world series or bust for the yankees team. Gary sanchez has to step up. I know it's only one game but that run was huge

MSU Spartans... Presented by Rocket Mortgage?
"Michigan state has announced that its basketball team will now be called the msu spartans presented by rocket mortgage. You sit on a throne of lies. I would think so barat. it's true. Now here's the saving grace at. I believe in the way. I'm reading it. This is a story on. Yahoo is says the team will be called the michigan. The msu you know it presented by rocket mortgage at the breslin center. That's how they'll be known throughout the breslin center which is their home court their home arena so my guess rob is when near now announces a team. That's what he's going to call them at the beginning to gain when they come out for warm ups right before the game whatever. They're the msu sparks as presented by rocket mortgage. I don't expect that when they go elsewhere people are going to refer to them as that maybe they'll announce that before the game but obviously throughout the game everywhere you go. Call them the spartans or michigan state. You think i'm wrong. I mean there's it doesn't make it that much better but it makes it a little better to me. It's total nonsense. It's a allowed. Everything's not for sale. I'm sorry chris. I still respect the steinbrenner family. Chris for not taking the name. They could have put a name on yankee stadium on my right yes or no and made its montemar. Names right all right yankee stadium. How about madison square garden. Could it be very heels right. Could it be american express field reno. I mean they give me making money off of it and they won't do it. Can we have something. Everything's not for sale. I get it dan gilbert. Who was the president of ragweed and look is an alum. He went there. He loves the sports. He tried to hire tommaso to coach the cast. Chris i get the relationship. He's he's a spartan just beat the presenting sponsor when they when they make that announcement. You don't need to the msu sports presented by rocket mortgage. Why would you do that to your alma mater right. Well that's what i'm saying if it's anything but what i said right if is anything but okay well. We announced the team. You know we're announcing the starting lineup. The now star lineup. So the ms you spartans presented by rocket mortgage. But okay. i can deal with that. But if there you got jerseys now. And if that's what their official name is going to be elsewhere. There's a major problem. And i agree with you like and this is just this just shows the other greed. We talked about it and they're not paying players these deals. This is just a pity of the degree of this now rob. I'll even say this. I would've rather them. Just call them. The msu rockets michigan state rockets. Not is that this is ridiculous. This really is bad. And i just don't understand what all the money my god is it. Okay right don't get every nickel chris. I still would have been a sponsor right. There's tons of money probably just not as much maybe wide. I don't know how much is enough. I don't get it seriously. It's ridiculous like i say again. I'm betting that is just going to be announced at various times but not consistently

The Mets' Front Office Fiasco
"So i. Could you walk us through. Things unfolded between jared porter amiss reporter while jared porter was at the cubs one. Did they first meet each other. So this reporter. I met jared porter. June twenty six two thousand and sixteen order at this point in time is the cubs director of professional scouting. He's an elevator at yankee stadium. They'd talk briefly exchange cards. That's about it. This is an interaction that that seems fairly normal. Later that afternoon porter begins texting her and according to espn before the day is over he'd ask her to get a drink. Three times he began sending her techs and they corresponded sporadically for about three weeks. Him complimenting her her responding despite a limited grasp of english july nineteenth on july order shifts boyfriend sensor another selfie she replied with one of her own then porter said you're gorgeous. Want war of me question mark and she texted a laugh and said yes order also laughed then send other selfie followed by a photo of himself on a bed with the bulge in the crotch area of pants after sending another selfie. He asked like she again. Texted a laugh and said yes adding. You're not married. He responded nope. Which picture do you like. The most wants to see more. This becomes obviously something where you're starting to realize this might not be a source and she kind of cuts off communication with him from the timeframe of july nineteenth to august tenth. He sends sixty two unanswered text messages including photos that get more explicit in nature and on august ninth he and the reporter went chicago. It wrigley field. I think i just saw your so beautiful. The reporter told espn she felt panicky and she hid to void him a day. Later porter's message. I'll be in la this weekend at the best hotel in america. Can you meet me there. That's evening porter texted. You're missing out next. He sent more than a dozen photos of hotel grounds food and a bathtub. Then a shot of pants with the bulge on a bed finally texted a shot of a fully naked and erect penis. And it really at this point in time becomes a point where it is crossing the line. She told espn. She got help composing her first reply to porter in weeks. This is extremely inappropriate very offensive and getting out of line. Could you please stop sending offensive photos or message. Puerto responded oh. I'm sorry i will stop. I really apologize. Please let me know if you ever need anything workwise and we need to reiterate that this reporter is not from the united states. She doesn't have a grasp of the english language and she needed to rely on an interpreter and players from her home country to really understand what was going on here. Yes she did. And she was in a position where jared porter all the power. He could have helped that journalists he could have given her all the scoops all the news. He could have made her into a big name. A big deal. She can't help him in any way at all minus obviously physically sexually. He's attracted to her. She told the espn that until then she thought it would be awkward to say no to porter's questions and that if she had a better understanding of the language and culture she would have realized sooner what was going on.
Just when Mets thought they hired the right man, they fired Jared Porter as GM after harassing texts to female
"And is the new york. Mets general manager jared porter. He was one of the rising stars in major league baseball and now he is unemployed. Always good the mets looked like they were on their way. They're reinvesting in the team and now he's unemployed because he was doing some offensive things and this is Interestingly enough like almost five years ago that he did it and now it's come back to haunt him and it's So last month he was hired as the mets. Gm and jared porter was fired for sending sexually explicit uninvited text messages and images to a female reporter in two thousand sixteen when he was still in the cubs. Front-office espn reported late monday. That porter sent dozens of unanswered texts to the woman including a picture of quote an erect naked penis in. Espn said. It obtained a copy of the text history. Many of the messages and photos he said were displayed in the report online. And so new. Mets owner steve cohen terminated porter in my initial. Press conference spoke about the importance of integrity. And i meant it. There should be zero tolerance for this type of behavior. And it's a. It's it's saddens me to think about the woman in question because she was a foreign correspondent who had moved to the us to cover major league baseball. And i guess. She met porter at yankee stadium. They spoke briefly about international baseball. The exchange business cards now the only time they actually ever spoke but then ported starts with texts like text a palooza complimenting her looks inviting her to meet him in different cities that he was traveling to asking. Why are you ignoring me. And then after he sent a lewd picture she had to ignore sixty more messages and then a vote. The vulgar photo that was basically straw that broke camel's back and the woman actually went back to her home country and left her job. That i mean the whole thing is sad but to think that the woman With everything that was done by porter here allegedly that that contributed to her decision to leave journalism altogether and return to her home country at just so sad across the board.
New York Mets Fire GM Jared Porter Over Sexually Explicit Text Messages To Female Reporter
"A scandal with the Mets of former Cup employee, right Yeah, big story today in the sports world and even outside the sports world by mid sternal manager Jared Porter fired After ESPN was reporting last night that he sent the explicit uninvited text messages to a female reporter back in 2016. And Ah, yeah, the Mets immediately moving on from him just hours after that report came out. So Porter worked for the Cubs in 2015 and 16 in the scouting department. Did you ever come across him? If I did, I didn't realize who he was or what he was. I mean, I was started going, You know, sitting in the press box and cover and games back in 2016, so I may have crossed paths with him at some point. The female reporter, Um You know, it said in the report. It says he met her in an elevator at Yankee Stadium. So what team exactly was she covering? I'm not sure. But she's out of journalism. Now, um, this they're really bad

"Breaking while you've been at work. This is the Larry O'Connor shell. People don't have the proof incentive anymore. Do that. That's weird. Isn't that weird? Because there was a cable or you your intended. You have not got a high definition antenna from a television that just sits on the can. That right in front of the TV point. Things have changed. That just sort of happened. Great. I guess you could have a satellite dish up their little mini This little mini this for director anyway anyway, Wario cutter here on this on this festive ist day I I got a little sidetracked there talking about rush because it was. If you didn't hear the Rush Limbaugh show today. Please try to listen to the highlights have already been posted on social media. Or if you can get the podcast because it was it wasn't just the entire show wasn't just about him and his condition and his sickness. It was a lot about what's going on with Pelosi and Trump in the cove in 19 relief package, and all that stuff. But a whole lot of it was, you know, because it was two days before Christmas. And as he said, he's you know, even more than Thanksgiving. He's overwhelmed with gratitude right now this Christmas season, and he's literally he's literally Thankful for every day he's alive. Um, and he likened himself. It was a really great portion of the program, where he likened himself to Lou Gehrig with a less as you know, that famous speech that he gave in Yankee Stadium the last game that he played because he was stricken with this, uh, horrific, debilitating disease again. A death sends, he was told, you know. Luke carries disease is what they call it now, of course, um And he was he was told you. You have this and it's going to be horrible and you're going to die. And there is nothing that can be done about it. And there he was in Yankee Stadium. Proclaiming to everyone, famously, that today he feels like the luckiest man on the earth and it was a very candid moment. I think that rush shared with you where he said, you know, I'll be honest with you. I never really got that. I never understood that. Sure it sounded. Nice. But it's funny, he said. He rushed said You know, I almost feel like I used to think that that was just something that he knew would go over. Well, So he says, very cynical thing, actually, and he would not apologetic. I mean, he said, Listen, I know that sounds terrible, but I just I just since I never could understand and grab my brain around this man finding out that he's got a death sentence, and he won't be able to do what he loves to play baseball and he's going to die this painful, horrible death, and there's nothing that we done about it. How can you possibly say you're the luckiest person on the earth? So I just figured he he said it. This rush talking earlier. I'm paraphrasing, of course, because he's 10,000 times better than me. He said it just because he thought it would sound good and it would make people feel good. And and it was just a nice thing to say. But But then rush brought it back to his own situation. And the fact that he was basically told the same thing that you're you know, you're a dead man walking Is what his doctors told him. It's that bad. And then suddenly he understood it. Suddenly, he understood the idea of being the luckiest man on the earth. And, of course, is I'm hearing that and and getting a little emotional myself. I'm sure you were getting emotional. The only thing I could think of is how lucky we are. How lucky we have been. To be able to hear the rest Limbaugh show and, um And how lucky we all are that he's been a part of our lives for over three decades. Such a significant part of our lives in our culture. Um Whenever anybody quibbles with you about what my friend Andrew Breitbart's used to say who we lost, gotten and stop talking about all these people who are important in my life who are either sick or debt..
Families of Negro Leaguers rejoice in MLB's decision to recognize league
"On wednesday. Mlb announced that it was quote unquote elevating negro leaguers. Two major league status within its official historical record which helps explain why google searches for the name. Josh gibson suddenly started spiking. Baseball says it's figuring out how to include negro leagues statistics into its canon of sacred numbers. And there is no resume quite as legendary or as mythical as that of the late josh gibson. The catcher that satchel page once unambiguously deemed the greatest hitter. Who ever lived. So i called up shawn gibson. Josh's great grandson and the executive director of the josh gibson foundation to understand what mlb's decision to elevate his great grandfather means to him. Well first of all. I don't like the word elevating. I think it should be more of a merger because niggly baseball player or major league players as well. So that's first and foremost this. And i want to bid tuesday night as josh gibson's greg grants and i woke up as josh jacobs. His grandson asher to cerebral calls questions about this happened. Literally when people say happen literally overnight it literally happened overnight and to wake up and see that in lobby made the announcement and josh gibson. Now what we consider not just one greatest league baseball players he. He'll be considered one of the greatest baseball players of all time and so for us in our family. It's a great honor. Ona understand josh. What you heard growing up from family from friends about how your great grandfather considered his own career compared to those who had the opportunity who were afforded that opportunity to play in the majors for jars. You know and the other great negro baseball players you know. They knew they were great players. They didn't even know by to tell him that it was just a decision At that time it was in that era. that kennesaw mountain land is denied the opportunity to play in the majors but did not stop him. They barnstorm against a lot of white baseball players. And you know as well as we know. I know is that a lotta times. They beat the white ball players in. So that's something right there. And so when i totally stories just in our family. There's we call josh gibson big josh. 'cause josh gibson junior of course is the sense that you can't say jockey get confused. I wanted to ask you about one of big joshes more famous nicknames. He was called very famously. The black babe. When you hear that sean about your great grandfather how does that make you feel you know. Let's say this bridge. Stevens bakers great grandson. He's one of my good friends. We go back and forth back and forth on this all the time. I didn't know that okay. Tell me about your relationship with him. And what you guys talk about on this regard. That's great so burn. Stevens is bait roof. Great grandson and so we always talked about. You know josh gibson's compared to my grandfather. And i'm like well that's what you but if you ask me about. Bay roof is a white josh gibson. So we go back and forth. Is we always say our people always say Yankee stadium was called the house. Ruth bill in ice t's brent are okay but who hit the furthest home running stadio i give them on that one. Well i mean. I want to even push that. Story further sean. Because i grew up going yankee stadium. He's the only human being to ever hit a fair ball out of the park out of the house. That babe ruth ledley built. I don't want to rub it in his face to. I don't go that far. I just say the furthest rebel. We all know he headed out. The ballpark. we know is over near babe. Ruth kane close no all seriously. I've heard several stories two different stories. I heard it. It's out of the ballpark. Been a heard from some players that hit like the top tier of moammar. So you wrote a piece of the undefeated in august about your grandfather's name being on the mvp trophy. And that may have been unthinkable at one point but now it does feel like there could be momentum towards that. Why is this important to you and your family. Then the peak kinda fell on our lap on. This happened to read an article about terry pendleton barry. Larkin and mike schmidt. Making a case to remove kennesaw Mountains landers name off the mvp award and it gets to okay. Well here at a names that they're considering replacing the name with in his frank robinson branch rickey and go shoot josh gifts literally again on the phone with my board directors. I said listen. We just found herself in a race. Let's see how we can win it so for us. I'm hoping that the vwa taking consideration of this and really think twice when they make a decision to rename this after josh gibson but this mvp war if this may not. The jaw is just about josh gibson. This will carry on the legacy of all the other great players as well. Who were denied the opportunity. So josh gibson is carrying several thousand players on his shoulders but his vp award the page. Family the buck leonard. Cool up a bail family. Turkey stars fan oscar charleston. Family all great players will all celebrate. It'll be named after josh. But every time i speak about this i'll make sure represent all the family members who were denied the opportunity
The Rays Eliminate the Yankees In a Heartbreaking Game 5
"Me ask you this e because. In, twenty seventeen, there was this new core coming up right. And the thought was hey. Unexpected Ron made the playoffs one game away from the world series and I remember even the wildcard game against Minnesota that year was like just let this core group get a playoff series under their belt so that they get some experience and can grow with it. You got within one game of the world series one one of the world series it didn't happen. Now, there's a postseason failure in eighteen in one, thousand, nine hundred and get to the brink again, it doesn't happen in twenty losing game five of the LDS. At this point. Does it still if you're part of that group. visit. Still feel like you're ascending or do you start wonder if you've plateaued Now, you deficit they just sending I mean especially, those guys are so young you know what I'm saying like. inexperience in you know in age. So Yeah I. Mean You know going back over that run like seventeen we had to run. With all those young kids in. Out though I didn't I had I, didn't think it was gonna make the playoffs just just because we went to the playoffs in seventeen and everybody had career years we're coming back. You know with a young team I just I was surprised that we made the playoffs gotta ask. about a red sox end. In the next year, I thought nineteen, we were set up to. To to make a great run a debrecen. Obviously, we didn't do that. NFL This year you know is short season everything went on. So just to be able to to get out there and play and compete I think guys are excited. You know excited I mean I think is a lot to build on I. Don't think. I don't think you can up this year with the rest of them just because it was such a short season you don't think any. There's no like wondering are we the you know late nineties braves early two thousand braves where we're going to. We're GONNA get to a certain now they won one in ninety five to be fair to them. But then you know they're winning division after division after division losing to the playoffs losing the playoffs listen to play. Yeah I mean it does that enter the mind of this group at this point. I. Like I'm not in a group anymore so. I can't. Really tell you if they're starting to feel like that or not. You know. I was never I was never in that position I was about to say as a young player would. Myself as when I was young, I always felt like I had time like like August time to do you know what? I'm saying I got time to do, and then like I say, I, always bring up a seven because that was our year like we put it all together and that was a year and didn't happen. So starting panicking. So. You would have to ask the guys individually which year they thought that they were GonNa win in when it doesn't happen that year then you start panicking like shit maybe this this may not have you know hand. Right now all those guys play for the Yankees in they noted that the organization will do whatever they can to try to win auto free agents, auto players, and so no I think that they got time you. and. The reality is the starting rotation. Looked a lot different than what they had set out for because you thought you were going to have Severino James Paxton right behind Garrett Cole and you didn't, and obviously that changes the equation and made you have to use the bullpen differently, etc. Now, I, WanNa talk about coal for a minute see look if there's One Guy. Who acquitted himself beautifully in this Yankees. postseason. It was Garrett Cole I. Mean This Dude was everything they could've asked for he gives up one hit in this game and who knows if it's not for some weird wall overhang that Aaron judge got to familiar with maybe he doesn't even give up any hits in his five and a third innings. He. He really delivered and that you have to feel good about knowing okay. This guy is going to shove exactly the way you want him to this time of year yet. That was great to watch him be able to go out before. As that I know he wants you know what I'm saying. So it'll be good not this time next year everything rolling around you'll be fans in the stands and. Hopefully. We can have that Yankee Stadium proxy magic, and. Readiness. All the way to to we're supposed to be, which is a berated. I. What about pitching on three days Resi. What feels different like do you notice like all my arm isn't as strong I mean what? What what makes it a more difficult challenge when you're not pitching on your normal rush when you're pitching on short rest, it's not necessarily like your are being source. It's like everything else like little aches Oh you know you know you didn't get your. Your full arrest so you can't really overthrow You know watching that I felt like he was trying to give his normal effort their first ending everything was up. You know he was all kind of all over the place. Any just kinda settled in you know what I'm saying he gave us time you take a little longer than than usual and. He kinda settled into the game was able to find this delivery. That's the one thing about picking three days you have to find your delivery like. Were percent. Can you pitch at whether that? Sixty, five, percent seventy, five, percent, eighty, five percent. You know what I'm saying like you have to find that was going to make you be able to strikes in and be effective. So if it seems like you've found that right at the right time, you got to strike out and you know he kinda he kinda sail from after that I mean you have to Solo homer to tomatoes and then you know almost today what's that guy's name? You say his name well over process l. no the guy run our arousal arise arena Larussa Rhody. Almost curveball out but other than that. You know he pitched great. So yeah like you said I mean he delivered and and you know going forward that he'll be able to to to pitch in these situations you know several be able to pitch any situation. We saw what money can do to two nights ago. Yeah. Your boy came man Monte the Frazier Bryant Man, these guys these guys are in a good spot. So like I said nobody I don't think anybody in their Hispanic and not player. Wise. Anyway, you know that that's is the fans in the front office and stuff. You are the master of pitching on three days Resi and because of that even though it has a little less punch because the Yankees lost this game compared to what it would have been if the Yankees won this game. I want explore that a little bit further with you because you you did it a lot. I mean the way you did it in. Milwaukee with multiple starts down the stretch over and over again as you were just in Bistro and then we saw it in the nine playoffs as well where you did it the entire Oh nine playoffs and delivered you did it in game one and four of the AL CS is at it again in Games one and four the world series. What kind of advice did you offer Garrett Cole as he was getting ready to do it for the first time in his career as someone who did a lot and did it in big stages? You know what I didn't and I was watching the first thing that I was like man Fuck I should've called. You know what I'm saying. But I didn't he's he gates. He's he he figured it out on his own. You know what? I'm saying, I don't need to call bad like he'll call me if he did something. Yeah so I don't I don't want to bother him. I don't WanNa call him I know how he is. You know know the days before you know the day of leading up to historic. So you know I I don't want to call him but please believe I'll facetime mining when I figured out that he was making start. Well whatever you told Monte in the face time, it worked out really pitch well and game four and I was encouraged. You know see if we go through this game, there's not there's not a lot to nitpick and say, okay, this could have been done differently. This could have been done differently. We've just lost a game and. You just lost a baseball game to. All the time where we go to Tampa or we we play apple you know what I'm saying. So that's why I was so scared to play them in the playoff series because. That's the one team that I know that can fucking Peterson the series and they know it too. Yep Yet one hundred percent. It's how I felt last year too when they were playing the Astros and people like Oh we want the race I was like the race competing in the. Last. Year to we would have been counted the same. You know what I'm saying we would have been a seven game series for sure if they beat if last night got typically fucker pitches. Right move coming for the first. and. On the whole right I mean this is this is not what you are looking forward to. If you're major league baseball as far as ratings go I believe the Yankees when all is said and done at the end of this s I think they're gonNA have nine of the top ten highest rated games thus far in the playoffs they're going to have been involved in. So you know you better believe that there are going to be people who are wishing that the Yankees went as deep as possible for the sake of you know the economics of the sport, but from a pure. David Goliath baseball storyline, and there is something amazing even though it's not going to make my stomach feel-good or your Z. about the Tampa Bay rays and they're twelve dollar payroll. Taken down the big bad Yankees and Brosseau hitting the home run off Chapman after that like there's something crazy about that story how many times it I tell you that's not the way we do my career I'm not into. The raise but winning visit. I kept telling you that. The fucking raise

"To steal from them. That's everywhere. Today, I'll give you the last time that and first of all, I haven't couldn't believe what I just said it all in black and gain. They showed themselves this bottom line. What would have been going on? He has left at Yankee Stadium, Donald people yelling at them, but until Yankee Stadium when they're still on the road, and the bases are still loaded and sand and the ghost of Walmart as well, They're ballplayers. Fabulous. The high five and another double play like that. Win the game. Have a president who was great. It was like very American. And I, You know, it's also too. I'm sure you're going to feel the same way that I see a team photo last night and I'm laying in bed last night and I'm zooming in and I'm thinking Here's the Captain Miguel RoHaas so six years ago in Chinese, said he was a good defensive player but couldn't get a look in the big leagues where he is now look at what John Burton went through subjected baseball, Brandon Kinsler said last night. How could I survive 10 years the big leagues, But he's made a killing living on off of there. "New York. It's New York Yankees baseball Tonight. Game two of the three game midweek Serious against the Tampa Bay Rays. The Tampa Bay Rays have absolutely owned the Yankees. They've won seven out of eight games. There are two games remaining. I feel the Yankees have to win both games. To have Ah, chance to battle for first place in the East. Well tonight, Masahiro Tanaka will pitch for the Yanks and a very young right hander Trevor Richard's will. Start the game for Tampa as we welcome into the stadium on a clear Dry and very low human night here in the Bronx. And as we welcome you to Yankee Stadium, the producer engineer is Jack Candy Maldonado. My Yankees company. Europe is Susan Waldman. And I'm John Sterling. And this is the Nissan New York Yankees pregame program, and here's what's on the menu brought to you by Dagostino and Gresty Supermarkets. Shop online today for dinner tonight, a bit later on on the leadoff spot. Susan will talk with the Yankees outfielder Mike Chapman and I will have some diamond notes who's hot. Who's not this data and Yankees history. And much more. But first of all, it's Susan and the manager's show with a skipper Aaron Boone, brought to you by your Mercedes Benz tristate dealer's shop online, over the phone or in person. At your local Mercedes Benz tristate dealers upstairs in the booth. I am Susan Waldman. And downstairs is the manager of the Yankees. Aaron Boone and everybody talking about Garrett Cole last night. What do you see? See with him? Um I see a guy that's really close. I feel like he's throwing the ball really well. I feel like he's actually you know as the seasons moving on in a lot of ways, actually, even though his last two outings were Not his best outings. I'm seeing the improvement, Harry. He's keeps getting hurt with mistakes he makes within the game for slug. And you know the long balls obviously got to him, but You know, he was able to manage his way through and last night could have really got away and you know to give up four in the five. You know it is. I think a credit to Howie's pitching right now and be able to navigate some mistakes that teams To their credit have capitalized on an instrument senses. Do you see a frustration in him? I didn't. Um, I think I see the right kind of frustration, Meaning, you know he's ticked off and expects to go out dominate every time he takes the ball, and he's you know how meticulous he is with his game plan and what he expects of himself from an execution standpoint, and I think he and I think he feels really good. He feels like he's in a good place physically and throw the ball. Well, just a couple of mistakes that are really kind of hurting his outing, So I think he's you know, he's mad about that. Because he wants to go out and dominate. Okay. So today you have Zach Britton is back and Kyle Higashio CA is back and you designate a Jordy Mercer and your hurry. I thought Yahoo did really Well, I'm thinking for a kid. That's 21. That's quite a debut. Yeah. You know, been wanting to get him in, obviously. And, uh, you know, the one thing he showed us, maybe maybe similar to Davey. I mean, they're different, but but Mickey. I knew it wouldn't be scared. I knew he's He's got some real pitch ability for not having a ton of experience and certainly not playing at the higher levels of Myrrh League baseball. Yet he's got a real good feel and confidence to the way he goes about pitches and and you saw him go out last night and It kind of navigate through 33 innings. And even though it wasn't perfect to be able to go out there and give up no runs and give us those three innings was really big. Finally, I was just talking to Mike talk man, and I asked him, you know, without the big guys that air there. You've got some pretty big guys out of this line up his it almost subconscious. Maybe that maybe people go out there and press a little bit and he didn't answer me right away. So maybe there's a little bit of that going on through the line of people, you know, can't really stay with what they do. They're trying to do. A little bit more. No. Look, I think any time you go through a tough stretch individually or as a team in the game, um you know, you go through a little period where maybe our press a little bit too much. You're trying so bad to get it done, and some, you know, especially with hitting, you know, Hear me say hitting hard all the time and sometimes less could be a little bit more, But these guys I know what they're capable of. And even with guys we have down when I look at our lineup right now we have guys up and down this order capable of going out and putting together really, really strong offensive game and that'll be the expectation going into tonight. All right, Erin. It's hope it comes true. And we'll talk to you tomorrow. Thank you. That was the manager show Brought.

"Not calm. Well, Eddie. I thought we'd have a potboiler to talk about this morning Mets and Yankees, but it was not to be And I know nothing official has been announced. But do you get a sense that they're going to try to play a double header on Monday or where do you see this going? Yeah, I don't know. I mean, they have. The off day is Monday. I think they have an off day after the next I know what Let's do I think the Yankees do as well the following weekend, too, so they have, I guess another day to play with their. Um, Yeah. I mean, listen, you could You could play a couple of doubleheaders on you know on coming upon you could do on Monday. You could do next Friday on and then the following Monday, you could have two doubleheaders there and single games in between. I don't know how they're going to reschedule. You know, there's this proximity obviously between the two teams, So I guess that makes it a little easier in some sense, But they also have to make up a game of the Marlins and the Marlins Aaron Tuesday Wednesday Thursday. I think it is next week so there could be a double header in there, too, so I don't know. At this point. The only problem with the plane Monday is his workouts. Nobody's really had worked out. I'm not sure the Aggie schedule is going to be. Ah, and, uh, you know, we don't know what the Mets is that at this point, they're still going through testing. So, um, you know, it's probably get right back into it. I know Cincinnati had a similar thing, and I think they had Wiped out a three game series, and then they had an off day and they you know they took that too. And then go back to playing so, But, yeah, I would imagine that double headers are are on the horizon here. That's for sure. Especially with you know, you want to get the six games and you probably have to have a couple of double letters. I would thanks. Yeah, And logistically, you know, you may wind up with the Mets having a home game at Yankee Stadium. But, yeah, that's very possible in a doubleheader, even Yeah. I mean, in the past, you know if you remember back when they did the same day doubleheader, you know, one of one stadium, one of the other. I don't think you're going to be doing that under these conditions. But you know, everyone's going through that. You know where they have years of visiting team, But you're the home team. So you just, you know, flipping around any bad last day. Yeah, I mean, it's in the tyre. That's that's possibilities Well to you could you could schedule it that way. And you may have all the games that Yankee Stadium and, you know, just have the Mets with three home games over there, So that is a possibility as well to a lot of possibilities and just trying to get people help. Idiot this point healthy from baseball stuff and help you from Cove itself. That's that's a sure guess that you know that's something I was thinking and wondering, you know, you have one player one coach. We don't know who the player is. We're told. It's a position player, not a picture. But if they came back Thursday were tested, and they were also tested Friday. On. There were no positives that we know of. And they left the player and the coach behind. I'm just wondering why they couldn't play this weekend. Unless they think that you know, one of the test may turn out to be positive down the road. I'm not sure why they had to cancel the whole weekend. I understand Thursday understand Friday, I think. Ah, by I guess the word's abundance of caution would be would be youjust used. In that case. I think you know, baseball wants to be There's cautious as they can about this. Aah! And you don't want to get back to playing. I think that you know when they were sensitive, too. If you remember back to the Philadelphia instance where they actually played the game on Sunday, and Ah, and then the Marlins were pretty much wiped out for what they have 18 people, I think all told, uh so I just I think it's that I didn't when I we got the news. You know the other day on on Thursday that you know this was going to shut down that I don't think any of us expected to play over the weekend. Regardless of what went on at that point in time. I know they had They had some point of contact tests when they got on the plane down in Miami, and then there were tested when they came back, and then the next day on Friday as well, too, so They've been tested. And as far as I know, everything is has come back negative. At this point. We certainly haven't got any any positive results. That's for sure. But you know the weekend it is going to be wiped out Monday would be the next day. I think the next possible day and we'll see Okay, well, Wilshire can there but okay, So Luego was supposed to pitch Thursday. He didn't. I know. The manager came up a lot of criticism for not using luego Wednesday night. Oh, and you had conforto bailing them out with that home run in the ninth inning, and then Dia's throwing a great great ninth inning. And, you know, it's one of those things. Where was this strictly a managerial decision, or, you know, does the GM eventually get involved in that thing and saying, Hey, you know what? We tried other guys. The starters were down with walk it down and everything else that we've gotta try luego ahs much as we value him in the bullpen organizational decision. I think it's an organizational decision. I think it has been a long, you know, I think that's the that's been the case, especially with pitching and with other issues as well to Ah, other decisions. You know, I mean, logo has been on the cusp of being in this rotation. For God knows how long I mean he was in the rotation. If you think back to 2016, that's a ways back, but ah, he was very effective that Yeah, I think he won seven of eight starts down the stretch and you'll help them get to the postseason then and hey, certainly has expressed his desire. He has made no secret about that. You know, he wants to be back in myself. I probably would have given you know forward me or if they asked me, but they're not. I would have given the start to mats on Thursday, especially the way they have been playing and, uh and it is the Marlins and listen. The Marlins Are not as about a team of people want to think they'd be Washington last night and Patrick Corbin Ah on gotta well pitch game out of AA Fernandez. You know their stars. They're going to start to get people back to the matter of fact, one of the people they got back on the game from last night. Miguel role. How so? I'm not saying they're a great team, but at the same time they're feisty. Ah, and they seem replaying with a purpose, so they're not uneasy knock over, but I think I would have given him one more start in that in that instance and see if you could salvage him in the starting rotation. But you know it didn't matter because the game is going to be cancelled and it wouldn't matter one way or the other. Who the heck was going to start on Thursday? Lugo's in there now where he's going to swat in. I don't know this No break here gives you a chance anyway, Tio..

"From Yankee Stadium in New York. It's New York Yankees 2020. Baseball. To night, the first game of 60 in this abbreviated season, the Agnes here in Washington to play the world champion Washington Nationals, Garrett Cole is on the mound for the Yanks. Max Scherzer for Washington. The game will be seen nationwide. And what a kick off to this Craziest here we've ever spent. And the 60 game abbreviated Major League baseball season with coal and Scherzer, along with our producer engineer Jack Candy Maldonado. And my Yankees company era Susan Waldman. This is John Sterling. And this is the Nissan pre game show. And here is what's on the menu brought to you by food, John bringing you savings Value and rewards everyday shop Food town Now that smart but later on You'll hear from Brett Gardner's staple of the first game of the year on with Susan recorded obviously earlier today, and we'll have that's the leadoff spot and we'll have diamond notes who's hot? Who's not this state in Yankees history. And much more. But first of all, it's Susan on the manager's show with the skipper Aaron Boone, brought to you by your Mercedes Benz tristate dealer's shop online, over the phone or in person at your local Mercedes Benz tristate dealer in my both at Yankee Stadium. I'm Susan Woman, but down at Nationals Park in Washington, D C is the manager of the New York Yankees. That, of course, is Aaron Boone and it's sunny here and very hot. What's it doing down in Washington? We're going to play this game. You think it's Same. It's sunny and extremely hot. We had we had early hitting for about four or five guys, and it's pretty steamy out there. Summer in D. C like summer in the Bronx, you know it could get a little steamy, but And we're hopeful. I mean, I haven't heard anything. It looks like all systems Go on. You know I'm not a weatherman, but I hope I'm hopeful that we had that that window that let's just get this. You know, one of the things that I've noticed, and I heard Liberatore's this morning talking and I was talking to Brett Gardner. People are actually very emotional about this. That it's actually starting. You have eight people on this team, including Kyle Negocio Con who's 30 and Mike Ford, who was it was let go, is a rule five and came back and wasn't even on the roster. They are making their first opening day rosters and the emotion that Mike Ford put on his instagram. I mean, that's going to be wonderful for you to look around and look at all these kids, and I know it's a very strange year, but it's their first opening day roster. Um, you know, I think you know me well enough to know that, you know, Opening day is something that's very significant to me has been my entire life. You know, I feel like it's it's a celebration. It's it's a holiday. It's a celebration of not only our sport. Um, but You know, I've been going to opening day since I was in diapers. And, you know, this year is unique on so many different fronts. And, um, you know, maybe finally getting to this point here in late July. In a lot of ways. When we go out there tonight, it could be the most emotional one. I've been a part of and I think that's for a lot of people and I do see in the lineup Deejay LeMay. He was not in it, he said. He's being funny is just giving him an extra couple of days to come back and get a strength going. Yeah, um, he's he's doing really well. I just thought it was best to hold off at least another game here and, you know, especially with the off day tomorrow, and we've got money throwing a SIM game tomorrow, so he'll be able to get a number of that tomorrow as well. Um, I just thought it was best to hold off and then we'll see where we're at on Saturday. I just want to keep taking it day by day, and you know, in my conversations with deejay with strength and conditioning and training, I just want to make sure you know we're doing right by him as well. OK, and tonight the debut of Garrett Cole, who's been waiting for this moment for since he was a little boy, evidently who came out yesterday and was talking about how pressure is a privilege when somebody asked him about about pressure. How much are you looking forward to that? This is a matchup made in heaven if you'll if you'll look at it. How much are you looking forward to seeing this? Yeah, these air to heavyweight to me. Cole insurers are on the other side. Yeah, I'm excited for Garrett. Obviously, for me having the privilege of getting to know him, you know pretty well, you know, spending the last few months around each other quite a bit in the downtime, You know, just getting a peek behind the curtain about just, you know. The kind of special player person competitors that he is, and I know it's you know, It's been a long time coming for a lot of this, but I would imagine he's at the top of the list for this is a long time coming. I know he's really excited. I know he's ready to go. I know he's physically mentally and and a really good place. And, you know, I'm looking forward to him going out and And starting off his Yankee career. Aaron, Good luck. Have fun tonight. I hope you get this in beast Beast for the rains come Mike Trout. By the way, Who's a big weather person? He was talking to somebody, and he said, you might be delayed a little bit. But there's a window till about 11 o'clock after that. Yeah. I mean, that's what I'm saying. But I know Mike would know better. Good luck, Karen, and we'll talk tomorrow. Thank you. That was the manager's show Brought to you by R. W. J Barn of us..

"And fun and one What's your idea of fun? Geo be dropping 350 bucks to sit on a rooftop across the street from Wrigley Field to watch the Cubs play the share. Yeah, People are going to do it. I know that much. But yes, I heard you guys talking about this early this morning. You and Alan that warm up show that much ballyhooed warm up show Now the Cubs They actually own some of these buildings, some of them to go away for them to get revenue and it's it's over makeover and right field, and they actually have stands on the rooftops of the building. And it looks obviously into Wrigley Field so over in leftfield actually built up a wall to block those buildings out there because they couldn't control them. So, Yeah, it's a It's a unique experience have actually done it. Believe it or not really been up in the ones in left field over there, Right field All right for you, but not the ones that were in left field. His love fills left. Yes. Oh, can't wait. Hold on. Is the left field, right field number. Why do you think about that? I'm talking about that. I'm so I sat up in the buildings in the right field. Right. Fielded regularly. Yes. Okay. Well, some of the privately owned rooftops already have tickets on sale in left field. One of them's called at Wrigley View rooftops and, uh, the ones selling the tickets for 3 50 I was telling our apparently there's $100 discount on Sundays. For some reason you get to 50 on Sundays. Nice little promotion. They got going And that apparently comes. They include food, beer and wine. Seal all inclusive action there. Deal Rooftop. 3333 50 A ticket, Yes, particular so it's like it's a $700 night out or day out. And they're using 25% capacity. I don't know what the capacity is at 100% but I mean, I can't imagine you're going tohave. Ah, large gathering of people. It doesn't sound like I'm getting enough for my money sitting that far away. Like you're telling me that I'm sitting right behind home plate and I have that type of service and the food is included in that stuff like the legend seats at Yankee Stadium, and that's like the biggest, Ah, smorgasbord of food You could possibly have there in that sweet behind home plate. That's one thing If you're telling me, you know, a couple hot dogs and a couple of years, 700 bucks to sit in a sky now know that you're going to the banquet underneath Yankee Stadium ever again or now. Leaving the banquet. Well, the buffet you know the buffalo with the buffet? Sure. I mean, at some point yourself going backto buffets. I do at some point. Sure, Yeah, I don't know. Not anytime Soon. I'll ask Alvis because he's a germophobe. Will you go back to a bus? I was not a big buff a guy before, but I would go to the one in whole foods and I'll do that again. No problem. Yeah, but you got to remember the legend Sweets. It's not necessarily a buffet. What it is, is there is there's glass up and there's someone behind it that is giving you the food. It's not the fans themselves aren't Hovering over the dishes and scooping it themselves like you ask for something, and then it is given to you. It's just sort of in that style where there's a station here, there's a station there. I kind of remember that a little bit of a buffet of remember reaching into something and using, you know, like the tongues to grab Some sushi. I remember that now you know that that was that the sushi sushi station that I remember I was I was asking, I'll have someone and I'll have some of that will have some of that, and they gave it. Okay. And then I and most of it was yet can I have, like the prime rib and the two sides? I remember that beautiful prime rib that they sliced right in front of me, and then are they Yeah, and then used to hear some potatoes. There's a vegetable, so you're not and and it's behind glass. So I don't really remember there being any sort of help yourself stuff. There. There may maybe the ice cream maybe help yourself. "You sort of Yankee Stadium as you're approaching it's worth the ten minute walk across town and go for the forgery go over the border as we work with our group our our travel party we have advised that that we do have a couple offices because some of our people actually our coaches and their families like soon leave off from Yankee Stadium after the game because straight to the airport and fly home so we do have some of our group bus up to the game from from my mid town but we but we realize that this the most efficient way for those who who don't put all the buses to take the subway nice can you give me an idea what does it cost for you to send a contingent to New York and stay here what's the whole thing what's the bill it's substantial and so part of the part of the myth of bowls is that you know programs make a lot of money on the polls and certainly our bowl partners like the New York Yankees are great patrons of college athletics in providing these experiences but in everything about our our team flight Sir I think that bill is is like two hundred eighty thousand dollars for the flight alone and then when you're talking about key meal for a football team you eat you can be talking about ten twenty thousand dollars dollars per meal all of our players get six complimentary tickets insult those average ticket prices putting all our eighty dollar tickets are hundred dollar tickets that you know you do the math so it it adds up into a into a fairly high high number and what is the the revenue did you guys make is just the pay out from the bowl is that right so so the way the bowls work for a compromise the limit because copper to the polls all pay they're guaranteed to the car park and then there is a expense allotment from the copper to each school football game that they're participating and so it's a bit more expensive to come to New York than it is to go to St Birmingham Alabama which is were because I went last year so the expense allowance of for the game from the conference would be higher you know it's a seven figure number and so that expense we we work very hard to be within that expense number when we go to a bowl game I always wonder if it's better to go to a bowl game in New York City here in the city and in the United States of America compared to you know but docile Tennessee or something whatever where you don't have to worry about the city being mesmerizing and you're there to play football well we we should remember that a poll as a reward for a great season and a lot goes into a great season and one of the reasons we take our families of our coaching staff to those those okay spouses and their kids or whatever they're the ones that have not been able to see their fathers or husbands very often during the previous season because they've been working all day Sunday breaking down still getting ready for the next game or during the month of may be assistant coaches were all on the road for twenty five days straight recruiting and so part of the bowl game experiences of celebration and we want our coaches in the families and most importantly our student athletes to feel like it's bigger than just a football game however a winning the football game is very important so we are balancing you know having some fun instanton sites and coach Coughlin is a big believer in in our players having a really unique experience and one of the reasons we're so excited about the opportunity because of the tense rental is it's an experience like we've talked about previously that most of these athletes to many of our student athletes have ever.

"At Yankee Stadium I'm Susan Waldman along with Aaron Boone and and last night ceases about you tried to sound a little helpful but you know that knee and he had said he's always said that he operates on a pain level of eight and one to ten and yesterday was ten had he been pitching on that for a while he said he felt it really bad when he hit in in Dodger Stadium but how long has that been going on he felt a little bit at Dodger Stadium came through a pretty well and threw the ball well obviously and and actually in between bounced back pretty well but after is bull pen you know I was a little bit on alert last night and and I could tell you know even though he masks it pretty well I could tell he was in pain and even after the third inning where yeah clean inning against the top of their order yeah I just got a new and and just on that was it and he understood and you know hopefully now you know it's similar pretty much exactly what he always deals with so SO her get the knee drained he's got some fluid on their get a cortisone shot and then hopefully that's something that in the short term will will not get out and he can get back in pitch force watches that take to go out and pitch with that kind of pain if he says it's ten on a scale of one to ten what is that take time and time again if it's been there for a couple years C. sees a stern man he's you know he's the ultimate competitor and you know he knows that if you can go out there and and you know can keep keep in it someone under control he knows and rightfully so that he can still go out there and get out so you know obviously it's becoming more and more of an issue you know you understand why at the end of the year he knows it's time but hopefully you know we can you know get it okay for one more final run and and help us through a wi hopes of fun couple months okay that that being said yesterday's game the Oakland a scene and shows you the importance of a starting pitcher can't tell me Kennelly's entitled to have one bad starting in one bad outing but when you look at this Oakland team if you miss pitches they're going to really take advantage of it the same way the Yankees take advantage when they have mediocre pitching yeah they're good you know top of their order you know actually which we lease kept for someone check last night till Simeon hit that home run you know was Simeon Chapman and goals and that's pretty dynamic one two three and then they got some guys in the middle it can hurt she can't is having a really good year form so you know they they creates a match up problems you know they've they've got a good bullpen they've got some stars that have really stepped up form so and it's a team player with a ton of confidence so eat we know we gotta go performer for going to be the account thank you you bet that was the manager show brought to you by black bear deli meats in Frank's the official deli mean Frank of the Yankees radio network black bear only at shoprite we'll be back with more of the Nissan Yankees pregame.

"Doubleheader at Yankee Stadium Yanks while the Oprah twelve to five and the Mets come back to crush the Yanks ten four in the nightcap. This is the son wave gas in power Yankees post game show. I'm swinging Murdy Yankees were looking for the sweep to kind of right? Their ship again after a bad week in Toronto and Cleveland and get a couple of wins here off to the next part of the next road stretch where they play four against the White Sox James Paxton, aling tonight, kind of got in the way he was knocked out in the third inning two and two thirds seven hits and six runs and what the AKIs need in order to make themselves the team that can avoid the losing streaks and look a little bit. And maybe gained some distance in that AL east is get the one guy can go out there. And you know, you're getting the shutdown effort for the last couple of years sea Sobat, the despite some the injury problems and inability to go deep into the ballgame. His ability to come back and pitch after a loss or to just pitch. Well, that has come up very big muscian Tanakh has been that guy for a long time, but they're still a little bit unpredictability for him as he goes through some, some streaks paxton's the guy the Enke's have desired to be that guy p the stopper be the guy that goes out there and, and gives them the dominant effort he hasn't been do that so far. He's only a couple of outing since coming back from the knee injury. How much that's the bothering him hard to tell right now? How long it will take him to get back up to two peak effectiveness efficiency hard to tell right now the Yankees Needham bunny thing is this is a day when they didn't need him to be that because they didn't use any of their high leverage relievers. In game one had a day off the rain out. All they needed was Paxton to go four maybe five and they could have rolled out there relievers, unfortunately, days, Vargas, L, the keys down and kept them in the ballpark in the third, anyone the Ke's put together a bunch of singles, and their three spot really could have been something bigger if they're able to do what they do best and, and hit the ball for extra bases. They were outdone in that department. The Mets have three home runs and clothing to off chance atoms. And they come up with the win in game two how much he is still bothering Paxton wall. Find out let's talk to Susan Waldman a little bit while say for me Aaron Boone, here, the highlights of this one, too. And will the scoreboard as well the Mets win game two ten to four. This is the son wave gas and power Yankees post game show on the WFAN Yankees radio.

The game lot of basis. A lot of extra base. It's in the second game tonight, a couple of lefthanders Jason Vargas for the Mets and James Paxton for the Yankees house. We welcome you to the stadium been a beautiful day. I know that's a rarity. New york. This is a day without rain. What really we have magnificent blue sky above the not a cloud in the sky as we get ready for game two of the split double header as we welcome you to our broadcast booth. The danke stadium. "I'm very proud of that. And also the interview room, you know, where you see air Aaron Boone and prior to that Joe Girardi, and whatever player might be that's down in the basement that wasn't part of. The original plans, and I thought very hard for that. And you know, you you don't want to build a new stadium as lesser facilies than the older one did the older one we used to use an exhilarate clubhouse. But now they have this beautiful multipurpose room. And I'm I'm really pleased about that. My thoughts on the new stadium is it's a beautiful stadium. I see the the tweaks that they make to it each year to make it even better you find out what you need what you don't need. They've taken some seats out and place them with like private Cabanas and things and they fixed that issue they add in center field with the obstructed seats. It's a magnificent ballpark. But I'm not sure that any ballpark could live up to the memories that we have of Yankee Stadium. We don't look at the old Yankee Stadium and think about the problems that it had most people don't care about the problems. I mean Yankee Stadium the originally Hanky stadium. In four years. The infrastructure would turn a hundred years old the passageways the, you know, were very very narrow. There was no room for anything. There was no room for sweets. It just you know, it's time had come and gone. But the one thing about the new stadium is so comfortable for the fans that it loses a little bit of that. You know, it flaws its voice so to speak, but the fans of changed too. I mean fans go to the gaming. Here's a perfect example fans. Don't go to the game and keep score anymore. Right now fans at ball games are not as into the games as they are. Because they want to do a lot of things. I mean, they have a museum there. They had you know, there's so much to do. But I do think it's a beauty. I think they did a beautiful job. I'm so happy that they return the facade of the, you know, the beautiful what was a copper freeze and what I don't know what it's made of now. But you know, it it kind of gives you the the look of the originally. Stadium because let's be honest ralphie. I don't think they did a great job the city of New York when they renovated the, you know, the originally Anki stadium because that stadium was nothing like the original stadium. It was far more sterile..

"Live from Yankee Stadium in New York. It's New York Yankees baseball. And today the final game of the homestand after today's game the Enke's fly off and play the angels in Anaheim, the giants San Francisco the Diamondbacks in Arizona for nine game road trip before coming home. Once again got the is one yesterday and the day before and they now are at five hundreds or win today, and they can go over five hundred and considering what's happened to the eighties year. If someone told me today, you know, what five under that's pretty darn Tampa loss to the only three out of law side of first place, which is really amazing with what's happened to the Yanks. Now, there's no sugar coating the judge injury right now. It's thought to be significant and he will miss a lot of time. How much who can say one? Thing is for sure the Yankees who are on the injured list have a much better team than the Yankees are not injured and the he's going to have to fight through this. How they've got a manufacturer runs can't wait for the long ball. And most of all they need great pitching. And they go their number one today James Paxton against a young right headed aimed morte Lopez as we welcome to Yankee Stadium. It's overcast but dry, and we will have no trouble getting the ball game. In today. Say as we welcome you. To the Nissan New York Yankees pre game program where the producer engineer is Jack candy Maldonado. My Yankees quote on Europe is Susan Waldman..

"Oh. A Yankee Stadium complete with hotdog vendors, you know, popcorn. With a hotdog glass of beer. Yeah. You know, what actually I? Out of more serious note. I saw some people, and they were again, they were serious about it that the state of the union, the Trump should do and arena rock style. State of the union. The thing that would really at three in the morning, just ninety minutes of a thread. Yeah. Okay. All right. All right. The problem was he'd misspell one word, and then they would just ignore all the rest of it. 'cause that's normally how that plays out Ryan. Yes. I think the best place would be going to the Las Vegas fully automatic gun range. Hard to hear him though. Well, but you also gotta think. You'd be saving money because flights Vegas are cheap. Well, there there is that should he decide to travel commercial? I guess but. Okay. All right again. I just I I worry about I because I'm somebody who cares about sound surges, basically because what we do here and the constant retort. Of fully automatic gunfire. The background. I think would be distracting. But that's just me. So all right. All right. Thanks for the call her, sir. Ideas. Galore look at that. So I'd like to think that we help that situation out. Speaking of where is this story? All right. Here's some that'll make you feel good. Do you know Tony Beckham is Tony Beckham a former NFL player I played for Mary played for Detroit. I'm trying to remember who else he played for. But regardless doesn't play anymore. Just doing the family thing. Good for him. Himself a fifteen year old daughter. It's a handful. Although, you know, if you're a some ripped former NFL player is this guy is. Are you probably are just waiting in excited for all the prom discussions? You're going to get to have. Very excited about that. Well, so it's it's very it's early in the morning, six forty AM. It's it's essentially what it is right now. And he's leaving us home in Wellington, Florida. That's a very nice area in Florida, by the way. And he saw some movement by the house. He said, I waited for second looked up again. And what do I see I see some dude standing there by my window trying to get in a better position the man described as quote with his pants partially down and. He's busy. If he catch my drift. So that's what this dad sees. It's what happens next that is absolutely positively my favorite part of this story for a second. Look again, looking at and I see a white meal. You know, he's standing Bob and he's trying to get a better position. All right. So you had mentioned that trying to get a better position to stare through his fifteen year old daughters window. Data early in the morning likely. She's getting up she's getting dressed. This guy's getting shell. And he's apparently enjoying the show from what dad's seeing and dad has one initial thought is this for real. I thought I was getting Peng isn't that happened to me? Which I I mean, I get that. But that's not a very good joke. Sir. Right. That's I like, you know, some of the stuff on that stuff on pump to silly humor. But I don't remember them ever putting together an episode where some guy was pleasure himself to the nude image of an underage teen. Right. But that that would be something they'd probably want to put on the air. So it was then that he realized now that's just your standard running the mill pervert, I need to go over and talk with him. Department over there. And we had a good conversation. Wait a second quarter mega department over there. And then we had a good conversation. So what did he trip is that house face got broken into pieces like that? What do you think they talked about what he's he's converse swapping recipes or something? Hey, how you doing? Yeah. So I see you're you're very interested in in my home. Here. Would you like any information about square footage possible layout? Are you an architecture enthusiasts? What is what what was that conversation department over there? And then. And we just had a good conversation. So if you'll get at mugshot, dude, got bruises black I and I understand that the dude broke his face in multiple places, which I'm very excited about I am one hundred percent o k the only sadness that that that. I hold a concerning anything having to do with this story is the possibility that somehow some way this jackass will find a way to file a civil suit for his injuries. I'm sorry to me. You know, I'm sorry to have him because this is the best fire. So are you sorry that you broke his face into a million pieces? I'm sorry. That have me, you know, I'm sorry to have him because he's never gonna do that again on this side of town. No, probably probably not also he's never going to be able to explain it in his original voice. Because I don't think it's face is going to heal into one piece. Messed him up. So that's my I have to feel good stories of the day. That's one of them. The other one is from Kentucky. Fact, let me just pair this because it's nice short story. So these these kids over the weekend because they got a bunch of snow. There's these three kids sitting there. They put together a snowman giant snowman in the yard and. So they go to school and when we come back from school. They come upon a rather interesting site tire tracks running through their yard and directly at the snowman. Now, the snowman's mostly still standing why? Because some jackasses dryness truck sees this giant snowman. And apparently as initial thought is I'm drive my truck through that. I'm a right to this kid snowman because I'm that. I'm a guy who does that. Which by the way, who are you did. That's what you do. Who goes along looking at snowman those kids Bila drive across private property to smash it with my truck. Worst case scenario. He moved the carrot if you wanna mess with them, but you leave snowman intact. But the problem was the driver didn't realize something see the anchor. The snowman was a roughly three foot tall stump of a tree that had been there. Big old tree. No. Yeah. Yeah, switch. They couldn't see because the base of the snowman wrapped around it. Yeah. So think of home, and there's just carnage. So somebody's driving around with obviously busted up front end of their truck right now. The now the stumps exposed, but it says pretty big in it, obviously is not a movable object. It's it's so big it wasn't gonna move on this truck hit it. So that's that's that's instant karma right there. So those are my two favorite stories of the day. All right, six forty nine. We'll come back with more calls coming up next. Hang on iheartradio.
