Judge HR, Cole Ks lead Yanks over Giants 5-0 on opening day

"Aaron judge appropriately hit Major League Baseball's first home run of the season, launching the Yankees to a 5 zero opening day victory over the Giants. Judge who said an American League record last year with 62 homers, homered with one out in the bottom of the first to give New York elite it never relinquished any chance to get one run on the board there early for Cole, I think was huge and it kind of let him settle in and work with a little bit of a lead. Garrett called me that Homer stands up with 6 scoreless innings, striking out 11. Glaber Torres added a two run Homer in the fourth of San Francisco starred in loser Logan Webb, who fanned 12 in his 6 innings. Judge also drove in another run with a single. New York

"I mean will You couldn't have scripted it like a Kevin Costner a bull Durham field of dreams any better than that I agree with you They did need that because I'm with you brother will The baseball I grew up on baseball Loved it played it by far not even a close second my favorite sport growing up obsessed with the Yankees could have gone through every single player their stats batting average everything And now I just maybe it's the woke ism all the nonsense I don't know I just I can't get into it It's like I'm football basketball hockey and then like a distant fourth baseball So I agree with you I think this was a good thing Yeah football's taking over as America's game That's the bottom line And it's pro and college You played It's tough for you I did I played Yeah I played I played for the fall season And I played in high school And then I quit the team at stony brook right before the final cuts because I had a girlfriend in New York that I missed and I regret that decision ever since I left a voicemail with the coach name is Matt and I had had a really good set of scrimmage games I was pretty sure I would have made that team and I'm still upset at myself I just you know to this day I mean I love the game though I love the fact that it's a you know it really is a thinking man's game I mean when you look at some of the physiques and baseball they just don't match up to football I had a thousand questions but you're so interesting You know when you think about John crock right I mean this is a guy who can succeed in baseball You know he couldn't necessarily maybe get that done in football And it's because he's in this game of inches where he's figured out how maybe to read a picture and the angle of his hand a little bit better than the other guy who didn't see the curveball coming Yeah Gil versus athleticism right Like crook isn't going to be I mean maybe golf because golf is such a skill based game repetition of act whatever swing a golf club seeing a baseball How many different pictures have you seen He's mastered that skill

Curry, Henry, Kupp, Judge among most bet-on athletes of 2022

"Steph Curry was among the most bet on athletes in 2022, the most bet on sports team was the peacocks of St. Peters. DraftKings sports book customers, one more money betting on Saint Peter's from New Jersey than any other sports team in 2022. The peacocks were the Cinderella story in college basketball's March Madness. The numbers show a lot of betters lost money on Aaron Boone's New York Yankees, no World Series title this year. It always stings. Big money losses came from betting on the Green Bay Packers and Alabama. Golden State Steph Curry was the most bet on player of 2022 for DraftKings. We got four championships. Dr. Thomas Krannawitter: Looking at the Story of Slavery

"True or false, America as the greatest or is the greatest antislavery movement country of all time. Absolutely true. That's kind of what I wanted to come and talk about today. One of my purposes in life is to reframe this entire subject of slavery. And I want to get into it with an example, an analogy from the world of sports. Just this past summer, I'm a big baseball fan. And a guy named Aaron judge, he was a baseball player for the New York Yankees. He did something no one in the American League had ever done. He hit 62 home runs in one season. And imagine Lee, if you were telling someone that story, he said, wow, can you believe it? This guy is the first player in the American League to hit 62 home runs in one season. And imagine if someone looked at you and said, why didn't he do that earlier? Why didn't someone else do that before? Why didn't he hit a 102 rather than 62? Why did it take him all season? Why didn't he hit 62 by July? I mean, nobody would respond that way because we're talking about something that is unprecedented. And so we celebrate it. We say, wow, that's a whole new standard of excellence. That's the way I want citizens to look at this story of slavery in the American founding.

"yankee" Discussed on The Bronx Pinstripes Show - Yankees MLB Podcast

"Pinstripe. Show with your host. Rotundi and scott ryan. Let's go what's up everybody. Welcome to the bronx pinstripe show. We're about. I don't know we spent a week almost right just six days. The yankees got their butts. Kicked at fenway park and their season ended and we have heard crickets absolute silence. Nada zippo from the yankees organization. Normally we get that season ending. Press conference where brian cashman and aaron boone. Tell us how close this team is there. Just one bounce away and then they they were going to be world series champions. That hasn't happened yet. that could did. It happen the week after they lost last year Rich i saw tweeted out Rece- kauffman said. It happened five days after last year and obviously that they let it breathe this this because they ended on tuesday. I thought maybe we'd get it friday. And when you do it on friday you kind of berry anything right like because that's like pr wanna one especially from the yankees organization if it's going to be bad news and bads and you're going to be feeling bad questions. Try and minimize the press conference as much as possible. So you do it on a on a friday before a long weekend because monday's a holiday for for many people in their jobs and they got the nfl and everything like that and the mlb playoffs. Like i thought they just like slip it in at four o'clock on friday afternoon and then she's like gets buried in all the other crap we haven't had it. It depends on what you deem as bad news. Well this is the thing wanting to be buried. That's the thing is. I don't know which way they're rain on the bad news front so people are people are as bad news if he comes back or is that bad news in there is if we get an you know a job. So here's they're they're obviously taking their time. Because i think they are making their discussing internally. I think if you're going to bring back aaron boone and you can't do that press conference until you absolutely know who if aaron boone is coming back next year right because that's the first question that gets asked is aaron boone under manager in two thousand twenty two. You can't say we're still deciding. You can't do the press conference if you don't have an answer. No i agree with that. So they answer either by no and if it's no okay then they're gonna go through the hiring process. You don't have to know who the manager is if it's no but it needs to yes or no it can't be up in the air if this is still up in the air and this is something that they don't know which way they're going i i again throw my Just throw my my my puzzled hat on my puzzled face on because you should know which direction you're going at this point whether it's this was not good enough or this was good enough. Let's keep going. You should know that by now. It is what it is. There's not a lot of decision making that goes into what the situation currently is. I mean i i. Don't you either have convictions. One way or the other. What if there's no middle ground here. What if brian cashman is trying to talk. Hal steinbrenner into keeping the current staff in place. And that he's trying to tell them that we're still on the right. Course this ship sailing in the right direction we had. We just had an unlucky year. What have cashman is trying to convince hal of that throwing my mouth a little bit the look they did have some unlucky parts of the. There's no doubt about it but at the same time if you have not had this discussion throughout the year throughout this entire the course of the season if this discussion was not a fluid wants something that was happening then. You're not doing your job and how doesn't have control or the you know. He's not pulling the trigger one way or another. That's the problem here. One of the one of the biggest problems that we've talked about all year long is accountability and it comes from the very top and with the lack of accountability. Usually comes the lack of decision making and actually going forth with something that you believe in to set the course in one way or another. They've been digging around in the middle this that the team is unlucky. The team is getting better. The talent is there. We don't know they're making a major adjustment at the trade deadline. Which way are you going. Which way are you going. And how unfortunately just doesn't to have the initiative the moxie the bulls to come out and say that this is a problem and we need to change course or he doesn't believe it which is a bigger problem. I just don't think he treats the yankees like we want him to treat the yankees because his dad. George treat it like any fan who we talked to would treat it. Where i'm going to do anything i can to win every year. That's the number one. And that is the only priority health priorities. Yeah winning is is on the list but also running a good organization that makes money every year is on the list. I roy is. This is a big reason because if it okay if you have a team that is a good place in that i have the fans the business will work. The business will operate well. It's the new york yankees. You don't have to do that much to get into a good place. You can actually just change a little bit. And i believe that they will actually create a better product. That is what's happening because the public perception of the product right now is bad and when the public perception of the product is bad. And you're the new york ke's you're just of resting on your laurels. You're resting on the fact that you're the new york yankees if you actually made some tweaks and showed that you're within the century and and you understand the game of baseball today and you're trying to quote close the gap on the rest of the league early. Then maybe then maybe your business model and your business will thrive even more even more. It's never going to be banned. The yankee to play devil's advocate. What is hal is looking at it. Saying we came off two thousand nineteen where we were. We were the second best regular season team and then we lost in the american league championship series possibly to a team that was cheating and then we went out and signed the best free agent on the market. Twenty twenty is a throw out year because it was the kovic shortened season and then twenty twenty one. We just got. We've got a little unlucky. He put it on the players in june of this year. Now maybe he's changed his opinion in the last three months with how the season actually played out in specifically how ended..

"So it just feels like they've been more successful than the Yankees over the last several decades because they finished the job. They have more years with magical endings than most teams do. But the Red Sox, you know, 2018 is an astounding season. 2019 very embarrassing for them. 2020, even worse they tank worse than they ever have. In a year where, you know, everybody could have used some wins last year, 2020 was tough. And Red Sox fans had a depressing year. So they're going to make the playoffs this year, they're almost definitely going to be in the wild card game. And that's good for the Boston Red Sox fans. It's been three years of depression for them. And so I theoretically should be satisfied. But I'm not because I still want more bad endings. For X-Men's you've had it really, really good in many, many recent seasons. All that being said, met fans and Yankee haters to be rooting against your own team as the Yankees limp towards at best a wild card road burp. And that worst and more likely they'll be out of the playoffs entirely. 12 seasons since they've made the World Series. 12 seasons since they've won it. They got to ALCS game 7 once during that stretch. They got to game 6 a couple times. They've been close once in 12 years. They have not made the World Series in 12 years. Your probably knowing the Yankees and how they operate and the stratosphere in which they are circling, it's probably never gonna get better for you as a hater than this. 12 years without having to worry about the Yankees in the World Series. That's a large chunk of your lifetime. And if you want to expand it 20 years, one World Series 21 years, one World Series is a lot of failure..

Which i tend to agree with sort of here and there but although i still we'll have some but but lagers can be just a delight there there's a huge spectrum of flavors and lagers need it rewards nuance and appreciation of subtlety as opposed to hitting over the head. And after you've been hit over the head a number of times maybe you wanna try something else right like so lagers for me. Are you know. That's for the past year we've been focusing on loggers and we want to continue to focus on lawyers and if people will buy and drink loggers and you know great because that means we can keep doing this do think that the the pills ner and the coach at one end and the doppler bach and other extra heavy log gold them or at the other end. Well i mean it shows the spectrum right like that was so i was at my friend dance Brewery and woodstock called on saturday and he had a baltic porter which is a liar. Such a you know. I think he was. I think his was like low eight but he served in such a snifter glass like this and it was you know there was. We had you know. I'd had several loggers. And then i that was a finishing beer for the night and then just absolutely delightful and like such a range between you know starting with his fest beer talking about his mind you know the range of flavors of clean beautiful german mall and german hops. In germany's it's just it's wonderful and you have Recent one recently. But you've got to be a coffin. Which i think you advertising. Yeah it's it's a space outside. It's some some.

"Most loggers half the clean taste and the the fact that you can have multiple. Yeah that's the other thing. It's like you know i don't like i do not like really high veers other than once in a blue moon for a special occasion. I'd like to drink beer. Therefore i like beers at our laurie. Visa can continue to be you know upright and drink him so like sessional beers. Everybody should should understand how important they are. Because you know it's it's cool to see some kind of ten percent triple whatever but like how many i mean i to me. I'm just i need to go to bed. I have one of those. And i'm like all right. I have to go to bed now. It's interesting because i. I like to have high beer but i like to share that beer can't because typically it's you know in a menaul coming in pints but they used to come in twenty two ounce bonham's bombers and things so share that out and get free glasses and everybody would fantastic and it'd be a sipa but what you say about having you know sessional biz or as we like to calm pint. Is you know Definitely your Hand pool you have their gives you a fantastic point. Now you're you're cezanne. Y- this is the perfect dos for that. The perfect size fantastically enjoyable. I want more of it. But i don't wanna have a pint of it because it spoils the expose the treat you know and you know this is already.

"Beer wine. Hybrid co fermented beer. That is probably not gonna see on a lot of topless. But i've never seen it. It's fun it reminded me of a brewery that used to be in denver And they call them own beers yet. I can't remember the name of that brewery but they had horizontal tanks and their survey tanks horizontal. They had bags and they actually pushed the beer with air with compressed air and because there were bags that kept the air. You know what i mean. Yeah yeah but yeah but that was they. Were almost exclusively wine beer hybrids interesting. Yeah this is just like little side projects that we do. I mean i think we you know this is two barrel. So maybe maybe three barrels of beer at the end of the day three and a half barrels. So it's it's tiny but but they're fun and they're unique and they're kind of the people who like seem to like inquirer fiscal. So how do you serve those in in in these. Yeah coup glasses and it's bowel condition as well okay. So you know it's You know we'd like you have a you have a bordeaux blend symphony. Or if i remember rightly there's The border with a traditional bordeaux petite. are Merlot and cabernet. I think and then another one was zinfandel and karen carignan or so. The juice from so now. Yes when after that first year of trying like literally pulling grape skins out of a barrel at the end of the year for like two hours in the a cold rain outside. I said from now on. We're going to go over there and they're going to press. Press the grapes for me. We take that. Fresh juice added to our barrels top. It off at the food or refinance and then we we save some must or i guess you know it's called pomace. It's the skins of the grapes. Okay and then Freeze that and then at the end of the year. If we feel that the beer needs some more tannin's we can. We can kind of almost dry happen. Hannon's tannin's tenant the tannin that's the stuff that was supposed to give you a headache right in the stuff that makes your mafia-like had green tea. You know it's.

"Kind of like to with adjusters cap on top of it. So what how does the name and logo tied together. What what's the story there. Well unfortunately i t- tend to make things more complicated than they should be. I have two answers for that. So the easy answer is just my my sense of having a have had a long love affair with beer since before. I probably should've even right right. I have a lot of fun. Memories of of my. My parents are up in wisconsin and Just sitting around on the patio in the summertime. Sometimes in the fall or the winter or the spring but the summer in particular and just drinking beer together and poking fun at each other and a over the course of time getting a little loud and maybe maybe maybe. It's an hour to pass the time we should have had dinner. But it's a long beautiful evening so just that sense of being around the table making noise together because beer for me has always been a a social. You know it's a it's a it's just you know it's something that so there's something special about beer that no other alcoholic beverage does which is just shoot. The shit with your buddies. You know your family and so that's just the obvious one. And then there's a scene in shakespeare's play hamlet where he it's called the grave digger. Cena's fairly famous but he. He encounters the skull of his former. court jester and he reminisces about in his youth. How how much fun they had together. And how this guy would would tell all these jokes and he you know they would have. These.

"But you just need a you need good defense in center field more than you need any bat coming from that player i i kind of don't care what they do offensively i need. I need a strong defender up the middle. That's that's the biggest if we're not going for the best lineup and putting either judge and center and we have a guy like gardner or whoever is is is playing in there on that given day. It's just gotta be phenomenal defense. And that's it they don't really need to produce with the bat it just. It doesn't need to come from every single spot in the lineup. Brett gardner is enough. He absolutely is enough for for them in centerfield and he'll be a good. I think he's gonna get a lot of regular playing time. When result comes back. I think they're gonna try and get voice bat in the lineup. Because he's starting to hit a little bit and so i think you're gonna get void. Dha stanton left judge right Would the what would they do. Would they do stanton center. Judge stanton center. I'm sorry sorry. Stand right judge center gala left. Would that be the limit yet or they could put. They can put stanton in left judge in right and gallo and senator because gallows played centerfield. Number plates at judges played center. More like on the yankees the yankees. Yes but he played with the. He played with the rangers played. Senator has gallo played center with the yankees yet. I don't think yes. I think they've I think there was an appearance out. There i feel like. I've seen him in there but i could be wrong either way. It doesn't matter to me. Yeah you her field. At yankee stadium is like you know it's not not that serious Has pretty big left. Centerfield gaps I think left and centre inky stadium is pretty difficult as far as coverage range that you have to have. That's fine but i think right field covers. Some of those gaps tangles so. For example at fenway park. It's ranging towards field at fenway park. Right field is the hardest centerfield actually easier than right. Field at fenway park because right field. So massive at fenway. Yeah but centerfield is tricky shit there too it's a shredding left center. Tricky because of the wall the whole stadiums off-field is just weird. That's gonna that's gonna wrap it up for this episode. We will be back with a friday fis but we figured we had to get on and record react because pretty excited that the have actually passed. The red sox have only for a few hours. Because who knows what happens with an frigging heaney on the mount..

"Big losses in is that adequate. If i just pour it in and allow the phone companies is something to the pouring as well. Yeah there's some pouring also because Some beers you have to really poured at the foam comes out and you get more the aroma agents. Come out better and some beers. Just don't wanna do that when preserve the aroma in atlantic. I'm out on its own. So there's different different ways depending what beer. You very half. Wow so far. it's we've only gone whilst oh romer and pouring and temperature and it's like we haven't even tasted it yet right well you know and we founded like even here. John's they have different classes for some of the differ from beers. I mean is not straightforward. They do have like a. Like a a snifter for some of the like the stoute's or some of those that you're not gonna get you know a full pint. You're going to get it you know. In a snifter where you can actually warm it a little bit. Let it sit you. Don't get those aromatics really working on it. So that's an interesting question. Okay now he talks about a sniff. During you know what. The shape of brand new nafta is kind of pointed so that the romans push up sam adams came out with his special gloss at one point in time. That looks a little bit like mae west. Very heavy bombers at the top and thin at the bottom of does that in your experience do anything to focus the aroma. I don't really know particularly about this. Adams glasson what he does. I have those at home. But i don't see or notice any difference and i have to say here. The my nose is not the most sensitive. So i may miss something that some other people will get so. It's very personal experience guy. Yeah so you don't have to go the rules. You just put it in that it. Is you know if you follow a certain approach. Then it's the person experiencing still gonna get differences of opinion. I absolutely every. So what are we got them. We got the temperature the way important. The aroma what comes next. Well what comes. Next is the easiest At st appearance since yet.

"Used to say so. We'd like to present this recording. Which was done way back in two thousand twelve at another great institution who has disappeared. And that's john's tavern in winfield where john kowalski. The taverna introduced us to this guy. He's an ex pat finn and he knows everything about you. Guys need to talk to him so john. So we did. We got to know mark and this recording is from early days of the podcast as they say back in two thousand twelve. When the original yankee might linga fell to link and myself would sometimes go to jones tavern and record a show live around the baugh with all the noise of the patrons in the background. Mount was very kind enough to come along and help us in this show by presenting his fantastic school and any of you guys who knew him would know that this was something he wanted to do. He wanted to spread the word about craft. Beer and beer brewing. And and everything like that to anybody he found. So my can. I not know too much about kraft via about that stage. Got a real good may agree good lesson from him in this session and john's tavern and in this i hope that you will listen to it and take some of what mark has to say about beer so that you could understand a little better. We've come a long way. Since marks first appearance. I managed to persuade him shortly. After this recording to join us as a co host and he provided technical expertise and his deadpan approach to things showed how much passion he had forbid. Because everything was really interesting to me traveled across europe and went to many of the german brewers. He went to the belgium burgers to the trappist monasteries. There wasn't anything that mark really didn't know But he was always willing to learn and he would always say all. That's interesting. i did not know that. I remember one story. That he told was when he was in london way back and he actually got into a taxi cab with the great uk. Be hunter. michael jackson last. Michael up no longer with us at had a few to drink. But both he mock gone famously and talked about via in the back of alumni cab. And that's just what was he was a guy a friendly guy. He could cook great food. He could brew great. Beer was a bjp judge and in this small tribute We hope that it shows that mom's always willing to share his knowledge in the video version of this which you may or may not be watching. It's out on youtube channel. We've accompanied the audio original audio. Poke cast with some of our favorite pitchers of mark across the years. Maybe you're in one of them. He was friends to a lot. Of the brewers. We went down with him. Excuse me to the burress and we did have a good time. So i'm going to raise my boss last the heads gone mark. Sorry i know you like a nice little but ahead on euboea. But i'm just got one thing to say to you and hopefully maids again in the future. Life kip ish. And now we join the show already in progress as they say. Well not quite. But he's ever introduction. Take lobby taught. And from the yankee pup studios now. The yankee craft beer aachen pipes being pulled and the jackson yet. Okay ka dick jacket. Take it away. You put up what we'd better get going because here we have an action packed. Show tonight rather a special one reason that were in the pablo been john's bump tonight number one. We've got good beer in front of us. Yes we did number two. We're going to be solved. Playing another of the van bush beers. Oh you say that because we bought it in tells us a phone okay but actually there's a reason for that and that is that we know there's a lotta homebrew is listen to our show and people who also wants to know how to taste a little more. So who do we have a special guest sitting to my left joel right. Well actually opposite you can you to you ashleigh. Isn't it across.

"Lemon juice. It's not that it's the them. It's the bread of my assists like a funky barnyard. He's still sour a lot going like a horse blanket. Yeah i never smelled a holes blanca. Keep away from. Yeah yeah so. But they're very. They're usually very good beers. Usually move very quickly They do dark sours which are more rare and They're very popular. So we usually don't have them. And just by way of coincidence nam back in illinois and we'll get back to cali in just a second. I wanted to get with my buddy. Ken who is with me. And i'm standing in part by brewing company with them. Hello can see. And i thought okay this all sedona via company scotch squared over him. We'll open it and sample it. So have you ever had any scotch. Hail with whiskey chips and things. This was done in one of those squirrels that Squirrels squirrels is it. Yeah and i think actually. I don't know if you know this but we looked it. Up on a company is permanently closed. You may have some of the lost ones. Even though i think is a superb idea at never heard of those but the idea is really cool. And i was kind of excited about it and then looked it up and it says permanently closed they go. Yeah so we will open this up you. Connie provided oceana which the trend is over this try. I'm gonna do that. Don't do the wrong end. Yeah i see you know. There's there's something to be. Said he had can never touch another man's. Oh oh go ahead open the ball. Love this note quite hear that. Yeah yes. I'm gonna pull this out yet and of course i will be taking pictures so i'm gonna pull this out now scott show. We'll sort of approach for should be looking for in scottsdale. Ken you're looking for a lot of mall. I don't know what else is the phoenix i look for little penis. That kind of you know that kind of thing that set scotch scotch aside from amber so this is poured out and why delightfully some key. Some pre smoking. This one is a very nice color now. I was confused can between sculpture and scottish ale. What's the difference. Well i had to look it up phil because i do to a scotch. Ale is a type of scottish specifically a we have and it's it's higher alcohol higher. Ab scottish hills type of scottish ale. But it's a stronger maybe a little sweeter well. This one is certainly on the high end. Ab this is coming in at nine point. Seven percent and according to cali i think they added whiskey soaked. Okay chicks to that would have contributed to the a little bit. Yeah and then again as they did them in s- quarrels. So let's let's see. I'm getting a real typical. We heavier i get. I get whiskey right up front. You know spirit on knows and definitely some sweet. Small swede mall notes. It's a delightful would say dauth albany or around really isn't it with a lotta daylight you can almost see through it. But it's scarier and it's red. Mahogany was drinking right on. I was surprised by the body. It's really it's like all day light body my first impression will definitely a i'm kind of that earthy now the second set. I'm starting to get the whiskey. The nice creamy character to it. Nice smooth finish surpri-. I'm surprised by the body. I was expecting a much sweeter more viscous here. But very very boozy off the taste. I say very boozy. I mean. I'm getting that quite on my palate here right now. That's it we should have it down pat right. That is quite job now. That is surprising that that's a nine point almost ten percent beer. I don't get heat warming up my like anywhere. Don't but it's really a little alcohol. The yeah but you're right. There's no heat. We're now the description they give to. This is Kamu caramel was we say waffle cones chocolate and whiskey. A smooth variant of scotty sculpture. So there we go they a scotch up this time aged in scotch. Whisky poke chap. I think done a very good job on this. That's a really here. yes for sharing it with fantastic Collie thank you very much for your time. We're gonna come back to you and find out a little bit more about sedona company. Can you gonna head out that way. i'll be driving through there. Maybe maybe i'll stop where driving through the couple of weeks. I'm helping mom and dad moved back to illinois so we cruising right besser. Wow okay. it'll be good. Well you should do stop by sedona via company tell them the brit sent you look for. The brits bric brick is no no no. It's not that yes fantastic. And if martha are waitresses should say serving person is listening. Thank you so much. You a absolutely fantastic from person kiss. Tell me about your plan. Tell that you say that these go very quickly so obviously reputation with people who live in this area and they come to have people lining up outside when you go to new because that's typically happens in chicago and so not here you know. There's only about ten thousand people who.

"We don't need him and it's really you sure so. They called observers and you see him make routine errors in at third base because he wasn't ready and four years later here we are. So i'm i don't wanna get swept up but i'm optimistic. It's funny like if you pitch shifted what you just said and change the name system yankees like you. I also feel. I mean i had you have pre two thousand four like nervous anxiety. I post you four nervous anxiety disorder. I don't enjoy these games. Ever you were very connected all the time yes. It's knocking skittish constantly. I can't imagine attending one of these. Like that's also where i'm at someone's like you want to go to yankees jesus christ now. Of course i don't Definitely not at fenway. I promised you before. My i did promise you to tell you. The story of the time. I was chasing new fenway bathroom. The censored version is in two thousand twelve and the red sox were really not good and john lackey was mid tommy john rehab and was reviled player and not like a fan favorite. I bought a john. Lackey t shirt at the door for five dollars and wore it as my halloween costume. I was the chicken and beer. Red sox and then i wore it to a game at fenway that year and everything's going fine i don- people notice. I guess and then i was walking the aisles and some dude came up behind me and went john lackey and i just ignored kept walking and he goes john fucking lackey. Haw and i'm like all right. Alright writer and i went into the bathroom. And he's screaming and he's like john lackey and then you go in the bathroom standing on a toilet and also he not he goes john. Lackey wanted you my wife and then he left. I don't know what that means to this day. I don't know if you had a personal vendetta. Maybe john lackey like did try. I don't know situation was the most confusing moment. I've had it a ballpark. So you've asked me in the past like do you like i love anyway not that day. But i love fenway. i would never in my life. Ten yankee sox at fenway. And if you're wants to do that. God bless i don't really like attending oxy stadium. Either to be honest. I went to a game in two thousand nine hundred. That turned out well. Before that i went to the earliest sham endeavors. Game was the most recent yankee socks game. I went to the yankee stadium and i switched positions. I switched positions between the eighth and ninth inning. So i did that. I fully did that. That's my fault but yeah going into the series. You don't wanna get swept. I don't wanna get swept as long as the get swept. I will leave satisfied in the interim though like it's so basically we both want our teams to just win at least one game in the series of. That's that's what we wanted in the last series. Yes were sitting around the house. Just win one. I don't care what it is. Don't care when it happens win. One all i want to know. I'm getting greedy now though i want to. There's no reason game stadium in my life. it was may twenty nineteen. It was remember when andrew benintendi was the red sox leadoff hitter no legitimate reason for a solid two and a half months So i was at the game the first game back that mookie was leadoff man when core finally accepted what every fan had seen for the first two and a half months like this. I shouldn't be batting leadoff. It was like the beginning of benintendi collapsed. I take no pleasure in that. Like i felt so bad for him but it was like power. We still doing this. So i was at that game and i will say my in my experience was not as the i and get chased or anything but i will say on twitter leading up to that series. I had yankees fans like if we see you at fenway. We will be your head in. And i was like this seems really excessive. Like it's a sport. It's not like you're taking this really seriously. Nothing happened at the game. Obviously and your food is really good. But the one thing that i thought was really funny and i literally pulled up. The tweet is i had yankees fan. Sitting in front of us is june. I nineteen i tweeted.

"Think it's like twenty twenty two or something like that or twenty twenty three. I don't know but we also created a new class of brewery class. Three brewers license that mimics abreu license and one differences. That you can distribute up to two hundred. You can self distribute up to two hundred barrels of your beer now so for and that's a huge thing i have been talking to a distributor and i'm putting him on hold. I don't need them now. I'm not going to distribute more than two hundred no It's it's a fantastic thing. I very different is just because you are slightly. Bigger around for is although evil. It's helpful for us. But i mean what helped us get through. Covid was are. We had a lot of distribution another state. And so when are tapper. Kinda died We had something else going on which really helped us Get to The tough times and now that Now that we're kind of through that we're starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel now. The tap room's picking up again and we've got all the distribution in this picking up so But i think that helped us out a lot and I think anybody that was doing a lot of canning and just selling Some people were selling over the internet and using making good use of social media. Did better Anybody that was just pretty much. Taproom only was probably struggling a little more. But i mean as far as the distribution goes it's self distribution. It's great for us too. But it's not as big of a game changer. Big of a game changers would be probably for some other people because you've had a distributor anyway. Right yeah yeah. The distributors generally aren't interested in brewpubs. Because there's such a limited amount of production you know limited.
