DeSantis Signs Bill Stripping Disney of Special Tax Status

"The headline this morning from Yahoo news, which is the main story in headlined link from the drudge report as this, quote, Florida ends Disney's special status as culture war flares. As culture war flares. I love that. Passive voice. May I give you the first two sentences of the story because the tilt of the story is not passive. It has blame. It has a responsible party, quote Florida's legislature scrapped Disney's self governing status in a Orlando theme park on Thursday. In a move widely seen as retaliation in a bitter row over what has become known as the don't say gay law. The bill, which is expected to be signed into law by governor Ron DeSantis, is the latest faint in a U.S. culture war undertaken by the conservative presidential hopeful that has left Disney floundering close quote. Working backward just a moment, the story wants you to think two things immediately up front. One that Ron DeSantis is doing this because he's a presidential hopeful. And two, what governor desantis and his Republican Party have done is retaliate for a response to a faint in our culture war that was commenced. Undertaken started begun is the right synonym here by Ron DeSantis. Got it? Culture, war equals bad, and it was started by desantis and the Republicans. None of this is true, nor should it be accepted as true. This is opinion

"And it would be very inappropriate in light of what we now know if we have to do so to participate in any way. So here's my last big question for you, congressman. And again, thank you so much for coming on, man. Because it's an honor for me. You know what I mean? And for me. So I really appreciate it. You know, and I thank everybody on your team. For making this happen. Now, Putin is getting, I mean, well, he's committing genocide. And I'm going to get to that. This is like two part question, but then you have some members of the GQ P who are praising Putin. Donald Trump's calling the genius. How disgusting is this to you? Yeah. I mean, look, the Republican members of Congress and other Republican leaders in the country and Republican dominated propaganda shows like Fox News have had a disturbing affinity for Vladimir Putin. You know, Tucker Carlson said, oh, Ukraine Russia they're both foreign countries. What difference does it make? Why are we picking Ukraine? Well, there's one easy answer to that. Ukraine is a democracy with an elected government. Russia is a thuggish dictator in an autocrat. But it's just shocking. Anyone who doesn't strongly condemn the latter who needs not a genius, he's a monster. He's a war criminal. He's slaughtering innocent women and children and bombing hospitals and maternity wards. He is a butcher. And he should be called out for and no one should mince any words. Vladimir Putin is not a friend of the United States. He's not a friend of the civilized world. He should be held to account for every single death he's caused in leading this unjustified, unprovoked war on a sovereign country. And we have to do everything we can to make sure the Ukrainians win. And that he is ultimately held responsible for what he's done. Mark Lee, thanks for the 5 bucks. Thanks for your continued work, David. What can you share from your visit from the Ukraine Poland border? It was really, really disturbing. I mean, we went to the border crossing where the largest number of refugees had crossed one and a half million in the 9 day period. Mostly women and children. They're just saying goodbye to their father or brother or husband because they've of course remained to fight. They had one bag or one suitcase with just their belongings and they fled. It was horrific. And the Polish people were doing an amazing job, you know, walking them into their homes, cooking for them, collecting clothing and just trying to help them, but it was horrific and heartbreaking. And, you know, they just want to return home and go back to their country. They want the killing to stop. And we wouldn't think in the year 2022 that we would have a mad man just brutally invade another country, kill the innocent people..

"Aren't you glad that Katie current got her wish? Katie Kirk was she revealed in her. I got to get this book. I mean, her book evidently trashes a bunch of her colleagues, but she also admits that she was protecting RBG. From herself, Katie Couric did a sit down for Yahoo news and interviewed the late Supreme Court Justice and beloved beloved iconic justice. People have Ruth Bader Ginsburg t-shirts and, you know, she's the boss. What they call her? What was your nickname? Yeah, yeah. Notorious RBG. Well, she had a pretty strong belief about people who disrespected the national anthem. By kneeling. She had a message for Colin Kaepernick. And the message was pretty strong. The message was, it's disrespectful. It's pretty shameful and you got appreciate the country you're in. And you're not showing a level of appreciation when you disrespect the national anthem by getting on a knee. Hey lefties. That was RBG. However, Katie Couric edited that out of the interview. Because well, she's elderly, she maybe didn't understand the question no. It didn't fit the narrative. So show Katie Couric journalist decided to edit it out. In her memoir, going their couric rights, how she edited out the part where Ginsburg said that those who kneel during The Star-Spangled Banner are showing contempt for a government that has made it possible for their parents and grandparents to live a decent life.

It's called a u. us. It was announced earlier this week at a joint press conference between biden morrison of australia and johnson of the uk and it's gonna see australia building nuclear submarines for the first time in their history and china than because of this new pact accuses the three countries operating with a cold war mindset and it's notable that canada was left out of the three country deal possibly because they're to china already from the point of view of the other three so it's what's happening in of international shit. I don't like that verbiage. Cold war stuff is saying china more of the same fucking assholes that are exporting fenton all to fuck in mexico and killing our people and then it'd be like it wasn't us and then on alibaba right but then killing jack ma for doing what right like. Obviously they own alibaba. The chinese state is essentially only. Fuck i think marks right. They're just saying cold war because they're trying to manifest it. I honestly not cold war. What cold war ally did you guys hear that the the subs like the actual subs are shaped lake. Sharks is that true. You made that up. You may bigger is not true. They can they deal with teeth on with sub sometimes. Don't they like they put like potato. I think does definitely on torpedoes paid in airplanes and shit right always look make sure one airplanes you it makes your vehicle look more bad ass. If it's got like flaming on it and teeth and some other countries money on nuclear subs you better believe i would make it a shark. Because it's not their money. It's our money so we're just being like okay australia. You got that area. They say we're sharing talking though. Yeah well australia could put their own spin on it. Make trucks write him a letter pat. Maybe you could make it happen number. Two it's not transit's what's trending in the heart ohio a couple of submissions from the listeners. Colin phillips in california bakersfield. He's sent one in about his hometown. Where kern county is suing governor gavin. Newsom fresh off his recall win of california for trying to shut down the oil drilling sites. The problem is i guess newsome's not shutting them down via the legislature but by gumming up the permit process within the state bureaucracy. Which sounds like some some dirty pool. Basically newsom watts to go green but all the men and women employed by the oil industry in the bakersfield area aren't so excited about losing their livelihoods. So they're suing so that's makes sense what's happening over there and kern county also fits one of our listeners. Who works with the border patrol. Sit in images off the internet of the del rio holding facility just inside the texas border where a now reported eight thousand illegal. Us agents described as unprecedented and so in that article. That's where they reported the eight thousand figure. Here's a picture of the same place where they're waiting earlier in the week when it was just four thousand austin texas and it looks like a music festival. It's not just four thousand waiting under the under the bridge. That's only forty eight. It's eight nats double that now so the in texas to want to hear it. Say the word. Unprecedented you don't. It's not good one border agents like this. This is a new height of shit. Yeah it's it's getting pretty bad down there. Cohen positive there. That sounds pretty positive. Element are tired. "Celebrating their victory. We'll talk to whitlock on. How and why the us government and the us military concealed the hard truths from the american public on this episode of skulduggery solemnly swear that i will faithfully execute. The office of president of the united states will to the best of my ability preserve protect and defend constitution of the united states. So help me. God so help me. Don't help me guy pulled out a michael isikoff chief. Investigative correspondent for yahoo news. I'm dan kleinman editor and chief of yahoo news and i'm victoria ba- seti fellow at the brennan center for justice well a historic day. The united states has left afghanistan. The war our war our involvement in that war twenty years long is now over and the political fallout begins. What will happen now. How much of The messy and chaotic end will be blamed on president biden as opposed to his predecessors. And of course you know what is going to happen on the ground in afghanistan. I do have to say with all the statements today. Obviously an extraordinary effort by the us military to get you know what was it. One hundred twenty thousand people out of that country massive airlift but as a general mackenzie the commander of Of central command sat in his briefing. Today we did not get out everyone. We wanted to get out secretary. Blinken said it's a number less than two hundred. We're talking american citizens. Don't afghanistan less than two hundred closer to one hundred not a lot but biden did say that we're going to get everybody out and clearly. He hasn't is a strange end of the war. You said it's a historic day and it is. It does represent the end of our twenty year adventure or misadventure in afghanistan. But i've gotta say basically we all learned about the end of the war with zoom call from general Kenneth mackenzie the head of centcom calling in not from afghanistan. But i was in doha wherever central command is. And then we heard as you mentioned from tony blinken. We have not heard from president biden. Yet i guess we will speaking tuesday afternoon. Maybe on tomorrow. On tuesday afternoon. But the other thing that general mackenzie said you were the questions that you were posing as what will happen in the long term both in terms of the historical legacy the people involved in this but also what will happen on the ground will afghanistan become a breeding ground for terrorists again. But the other thing that general mackenzie said that was sobering. Was he said that. There are two thousand hardened isis k fighters on the ground there who many of whom were released after the taliban took over either intentionally by the taliban through the sort of chaos sometimes ensues in situations like this now. He said that the taliban was going to have their hands. Full with these isis fighters. But it does raise the question of whether we're going to have problems with them as well and don't forget i mean. There are anywhere from one hundred to two hundred american citizens on the ground in afghanistan according to lincoln and there is the possibility of americans being taken hostage. That would be a nightmare. Scenario after a number of nightmare scenario very quick point before victoria ways in you know the release of those isis prisoners. Which i think the military justice kirby just acknowledged a few days ago for the first time and now mackenzie has given a little more substance to. It is exactly what happened in iraq after we left iraq remember all the prisons were emptied. Isis fighters poured out. And that's what few wasn't listen. I'll bug dotty the head of isis release and was released. So is i. you know. I'm i'm glad you highlighted those comments mckenzie because they really leaped out at me. Two thousand hard-core isis fighters many of them released from prison in just the last couple of weeks. So one of the things that really struck me though was Up about blinken speech which was the way. The taliban as a operating government in afghanistan was sort of normalized. It's already kind of the fact on the ground that the taliban is the government and and the way blinken has already begun attempting to sort of kind of work various levers that you can work against a hostile or semi hostile or we don't quite know foreign government. It was almost like a welcome to the community the international community of nations taliban. It's interesting that you should say that. Victoria and i agree with you and i think that what you just said is going to play into the conversation. We're about to have with craig. Whitlock the author of this the afghanistan papers and some of the mistakes that we made over the course of the last twenty years in not engaging the taliban when maybe we should have tried harder and conflating the taliban and al qaeda and i think maybe that is a lesson that the administration has learned it also they say necessity is the mother of invention necessity may also be the mother of diplomacy in this case. So you know it's going to be fascinating to see how this plays out now. Blinking was very careful to say that whatever we do with the taliban will not be on the basis of trust or faith any legitimacy or any support that they get is going to have to be earned and people are going to be watching that very very closely look We will see about the taliban. You know when you see the taliban commander who's like been in charge of kabul's security in the last couple of weeks and it's a member of the connie network. It's a economy. Which is you know a vicious criminal gang. that's been closely allied with both al-qaeda and the taliban. I think this idea that we could have dealt more. With the taliban we could have recognized them earlier and they would have come around and been a government..

Biden Pushes Infrastructure Plan in Wisconsin

"Was on the road yesterday. The subject infrastructure Capitol Hill correspondent Linda Kenyan is with us for that, Linda Michael President Biden makes a personal appeal for infrastructure. It's a full court press. This is a generational investment President Biden taking his message to Wisconsin generational investment to modernize our infrastructure. Creating millions of good paying jobs That's not coming from me has come from Wall Street, millions of good paying jobs and position America to compete. The rest of the world in the 21st century. The $1.2 trillion bipartisan infrastructure deal is proof, says the president, that Democrats and Republicans can work together to make big investments in America's future. America has always been propelled. The future by landmark national investments. Investments and only the government. Has the capacity to make. And to do that, says Biden. Congress must pass the infrastructure deal that invests in traditional infrastructure like building and maintaining roads, highways, bridges, power systems and more. The president's speech in Wisconsin traveled the same theme as an op ed, he wrote for Yahoo News, which said. In part, neither Democrats nor Republicans got everything they wanted in this agreement, but that's what it means to compromise and reach consensus. The very heart of democracy. The president went on to say when we negotiate in good faith and come together to get big things done. We begin to break the ice. The too often has kept us frozen in place and prevented us from solving the real problems Americans face. Those problems include crumbling roads, one in five miles of highway. Roads in America are in poor condition, one in five miles. Some states. It's worse where the weather is tougher. It will be tough to pass the infrastructure deal if it is coupled with a second infrastructure bill called the American Families plan. But President Biden has D link the two clarifying his earlier comments that he would not sign one infrastructure bill without the other. This

Yeah, well, the solely stone was the soul of the Chinese government, and, in particular, the Chinese military Let me explain what went on and who want what we want. Because even if you think you know the story, you may not The change the the situation was before any of this happened that they had a lot of viruses and the issue in terms of making a bio weapon was how do you make it so it's transmittable from person to person, even without direct contact, and, uh, the Chinese military was determined to overcome that obstacle. To make a biological weapon that could eradicate the human race if they wanted to. And, uh they got hold of the Wuhan laboratory in Wuhan, China, and set up a contract to find gain function research that would gain the function so that the virus could infect other people. Without direct contact. And, uh, that was their mission, and they got a hold of a scientist. The mad scientists in Holland name it was last name was with Iran. Fresh air after O U C h i e. R and he was diligent in studying. How do we do this? How do we make this virus transmittable, and he took the covid virus that could not be transmitted by air. He mutated it. He made some changes to it to make it more deadly and more transmittable. And then he injected it into 10. Poor ferret the animals that are in many ways similar to humans Genetically. And then he found that the 10 carats were getting second dying of covid, but that the ferret in the next door cage they had no contact with also became sick with Covid and died. Eureka! He'd solve the problem. Now it was possible to spread this virus throughout the entire human race. Science triumphs again, Good for him enough. There's such a thing as a Nobel Prize for evil or stupidity, But this guy deserves that. And he made the virus. Then the Obama administration objected and raised hell and said, Hey, wait a minute. This could be horrible if this got out of control, and there was a leak from the lab this could infect all of humanity like it did. And, uh, the NIH National Institute of Health, the mad scientist to administer our research budget. Funded the project they funded, developing gain a function research to see if we could make the virus more deadly and more transmittable. The reason they said they did. It was so that they could develop antiviral vaccines more easily. That's like saying we're short of snake venom. So let's released rattlesnakes on Broadway and get everybody bit and that way we can get a lot of blood samples for anti venom serum. Uh, this this decision was one of the most irresponsible, terrible decisions in the history of the world and then evil decision as well. I mean, this is literally Frankenstein being loose. Uh and the United States government gave them $200 million to help them do it. To help them develop this change of function growth of function. I think it's the gain of function is the word gain of function, Geo F Research $200 million if you're in my tax money to invent this stuff. Now the issue is did the did the virus leak naturally leak because of a an error in the lab, or did it occur naturally from a bat going by inviting people? Obviously, that's a very important issue. And if you believe a back, did it, you've got to be basically badly. There's no way back, did it. This didn't spread naturally any more than my until he did. This was obviously a leak by by at best, careless and worse, malicious people who worked in the lab and, uh, it is just outrageous that it happened. We should take strong action against China. We can't sit down and let this go on. We can't accept this result. And Trump is right when he says we should levy reparations against China and I have two very specific proposals. One is we could get a trillion dollars over five years as China by quadrupling the tariffs we charge them. We've already seen doubling the tariff didn't hurt our economy. We're growing it over 7%. It's we can increase its still further without hurting our own economy. It will devastate China's economy and don't worry about Chinese retribution or retaliation. The United States has a negative trade balance with China even still of about 250 billion China has a positive trade balance with the United States of about 200 billion. So even if we would lose all of our exports to China, the Chinese would lose five times more when they lose their exports to the United States. This is a trade war that is a lay down, We absolutely can win it. In fact, that may be why they called the virus got released in the first place if it was deliberate to slow down the American economy. And stop Trump from winning. But I believe that the that we certainly could do that and take the 100 billion the one trillion extra. We get over four years five years and use it for reparations. The other thing is we pay China $100 Billion a year of debt, repayment of money. They lent us well, the hell with them. Take that money and don't pay it back to China and use it for reparations because of the damage they caused by the release. Whether deliberate or accidental of this horrible virus, the issue is not. Did they release it? The issue is why the hell were they making it in the first place? Why did China permit and encourage and fund with us help a lab to make this thing to make this unbelievable deadly thing that if it leaks because the 3.8 million deaths that this has already caused you talk about genocide, and they want to punish China for genocide against the we guards the Muslim minority in northwest China. Well, I'm for that. But how about the genocide of 700,000 Americans and 3.8 million human beings throughout the world That's genocide in my book, and we should seize the debt repayment money. We're paying to China and quadruple the tariffs and put that $1.1 trillion towards reparations. And Trump wants 10 trillion. I don't see how you get that I, but I think we absolutely can do something like that, and should and must, um, let's go to, uh Let's go to Jerry in New Jersey. Jerry High I had I wanted to make two points. One deals with the all these States. Vitamin investigating the You know these the fraud the election committed. Assume assuming everything works out and Trump can become president that also is going to overturn some Congressional elections of Centauri elections wanted. Yeah, it would. It would. I'm not going to go down that road, Jerry, because, uh, I'm not sure that that's possible. I'm not sure that the second point they want to make I did with the economics of China estimated Carry. I did wanted to convey everybody, though. I spent four hours with President Trump yesterday chasing him around the golf course, where he was hitting the ball out of sight,.

Merrick Garland's Radical Plan To Combat Voter Suppression Is Not What It Seems

"Garland. I wonder the Democrats. Desperately wanted him on the United States Supreme Court. He's not a moderate, He's not thoughtful. He's not reasonable. Is another one of them. Them. Radical. I want you to know what he's doing. We have the head of the Civil rights division of the Justice Department who is a flat out her name is Clark as I recall flat out racist, she said, and written some of the most unbelievable stuff. I think Susan Collins voted for confirmation to but nonetheless, there she is. And having secured that position. At the request of Biden and this attorney general. What's happening now? According to Yahoo News, John Ward. Attorney General Merrick Garland. Said that the Department of Justice will dramatically increase its focus on preventing voter suppression. Now you have to understand something. Voter suppression for the Democrat party means what Means state legislatures having rational voting systems in place. Not anarchy. So he's going to increase its focus on preventing voter suppression by doubling the number of lawyers in the civil rights division. In response to a rash of lawsuits or look Excuse me. Laws that have been made made it harder to vote in many states. Now you have to understand how lousy the media Made it harder to vote in many states. So if I want to leave Virginia and vote in, say, Maryland and they say you can't because I'm not a citizen of Maryland. You see, Maryland has just made it harder for me to vote in Maryland. Mr. Producer you understand? It's just disgusting. Our media have really killed this country. We will use all existing provisions to ensure that we protect every qualified Americans seeking to participate in our democracy, Garland said in one of his Castro like speeches Garland compared his action to that taken by former Attorney General Robert Kennedy, who said the Justice Department needed a lot more lawyers to combat laws and said says nothing to do. With what Robert Kennedy had to do during segregation. This is so outrageously disgusting. They're going to double the lawyers and the civil rights division and unleash them on our country. Harass the state legislatures try and push this H R one s one into law, forcing states to adopt them. Because Congress couldn't pass it. That is exactly what's going on here.

"You we need to stay on top of emerging platforms which really means that we have to empower other leaders particularly younger team members who are experts in some of these emerging platforms to actually be out of shape out business and this in turn gives them fantastic development opportunities and the ability to be able to try new things. And i've i've got an actually a great example of this in yahoo news. You know one of how younger colleagues. Actually she was formerly an intern at yahoo news And she was about a year into her job was her first job in media and you know she had fantastic editor and she took this idea that she had to her editor. Which was she wanted to start. Yahoo news on tiktok so this particular colleague was a former teacher. She'd seen first hand. The need to bring trusted news to younger generations in particular students. And by empowering the editor to be able to take risks her editor was able to give this this reporter the autonomy to try her idea and it ended up being a huge success for us. So we've built this yahoo news channel on tiktok someone like me. Some of you know other other leaders would not have necessarily seen this huge opportunity..

Russians have been told not to drink for 2 months after getting the COVID-19 vaccine - Yahoo News

"Great Britain has already begun vaccinations. The United States is close behind, and China has now announced that its new vaccine is 86% effective. But the first country to start mass vaccinations was actually Russia. The reason they were able to be the first is that didn't finished testing it first, which might be why things haven't been going great with it so far interesting request for those getting a vaccine in Russia, officials telling citizens please avoid drinking alcohol for two months after being inoculated, they say that alcohol impacts the immune system. There have been some questions about the efficacy of Russia's vaccine. Reports say medical workers who have been vaccinated are still getting Cove it flattering. Putin has also refused. Just to take it. Wow, There's a lot to unpack here. First off. Russia's vaccine doesn't allow you to drink alcohol. It was a tough situation because the only way you would agree to take a Russian vaccine is if you were totally faced. Not to mention not drinking is going to cause a lot of problems because it means that a lot of Russians are gonna be seeing Russia sober for the first time. What is this? My home is frozen wasteland would put food this bits. What the hell is this Bliss? I thought that living Carol bm. Also, it doesn't build public confidence in the vaccine. Republicans denounce Trump's attempts to pressure Michigan officials

"Look. Your state is in the middle of this election controversy and as we speak the president has invited to of your republican leaders in the michigan legislature to the white house. He apparently the president does not want to accept the results of the election in michigan and appears to want the legislature to step in and award the electors to donald trump. Your reaction to that. Yeah well the the concept of the president asking someone to that is extremely troubling. I mean that's offering what the the democracy in my view and that's a terrible thing With respect to asking the legislative leaders to come meet with him at this point i wouldn't be critical of the legislative leaders. I mean step back and look at it and many people have strong feelings when they first hear this. But if the president of the united states calls you up and says he wants to meet with you. It's pretty hard to say you're not gonna go meet with him. It's really their actions. Coming out of a mess. How should be defined again. They both gone on the record to say that they didn't see any reason. There would be any change from the normal process. Taking place in michigan. They're both on the record for that. I would hope they would reiterate that to the president to say you know. That's the way it works in michigan and there's nothing to talk about if he asks for something inappropriate. Do you see any chance of fraud or improper handling of the ballots. That would in any way a raise questions about the results of the election in michigan. Now i have now. And i don't know anyone who has if you look at it all Eighty-three counties in michigan. Now certified by one by a fairly large margin actually. Republicans did well in michigan other than the presidential race. So if you look at it there's no indications in fact i believe some of the results even in wayne county or the detroit area which is the area that many people are talking about. Actually they have better results in terms of having their precincts match up on their numbers than they had four years ago. So if anything. i think. This is a good solid election. Taking place in michigan and i would expect the board of canvassers on monday to vote to certify the results. That's what they should do. So that's the state board of canvassers. And i wanna get to that in a second but we did have this episode this week. Where the two republican members of the canvassing board for wayne county which includes detroit. I said they would not vote to certify the election. Then they did then. They said they came under pressure and tried to recant it. Then there's also the suggestion that donald trump may have talked to at least one of them and possibly put pressure on them to say that they would not vote to certify. What do you make of all of that. The got certified. I think that's the important illegal point. What's trolling through. All this is the president's behavior and the people on his legal team in history. I mean there are actually undermining democracy with their actions again. If you have a ballot issue you should go to court. You prevent san evidence and you'll out of court decide all this other stuff is very damaging today actually. I'm concerned about the damage. That's going to go on for the next several years in terms of misinformation you know creating doubts in the minds of his supporters. Things like that. That's what's really troubling about. This is. I expect the process to work. I expect president-elect biden to become the next president through a legal process that were today If you look at it there hadn't been according the country to my knowledge that has found any merit any of the claims made. Let's get this thing over with but there's a lot of damage. President trump has done terrible things. I mean this man has the divider in chief in our nation and it's an awful outcome in terms of his behavior. We should point out that even though you're a two term republican governor of your state you actually endorse joe biden in this election. Why did you do that well as easy. I'm an american. I and it's in the best interest of america to have someone who's going to try to heal our country. Donald trump has been the divider and chief. The incivility in our country has reached a record level. I didn't think it could get worse. Actually post-election is showing can go even lower with this current behavior. This is awful and we need somebody to bring us back together. And joe biden. I believe can do that for the people that said they voted for trump even on a policy basis. I'm a nerd. I'm proud nerds dime into policy. Might make allergies. Were particularly that good. He had a few reasonable things that he did that. Were good but beyond that. Many of us steps really weren't that thoughtful nor good And so i think it's time for new leadership in our country. So not only did. I not want to vote for trump by found good reasons to vote for biden up and i'm glad to see that he won michigan. So you've targeted all of your criticism in this interview at donald trump. But what about the rest of your party. I assume you're you're still a republican. I'm still republican. Although a lot of republicans like the have other commentary on me. Yeah yeah let me give you an example. We have a reporter. Who works for us at yahoo news jon ward over the last week i think four times. He has emailed the comms. Directors of every republican senator. That's fifty three senators and only two of them got back and said yes and acknowledged that there was not significant fraud in this election. And we're willing to criticize a donald trump for how he handled this transition and his efforts to subvert the apparently subvert the election just two out of fifty three. What do you make of that. What do you make of of people in your party. Who have not been willing to do. What you're doing on this podcast right now and i wish there were more i really do and i would have expected more but as a practice marijuana also be conscious because these are good people. These many of these people have been public servants for years and to be blonde. Donald trump is a bully. I mean i've been on the record for that. I was as i'm a nerd. That was bullied a kid. So i understand bullying and if you're in a position like they are in many cases you have an issue with a bully out there and you're going to be pretty cautious about what you say because you don't want to be the next person that's a target of a bully. S my point. That's why i was happy to part president-elect biden was get this guy out of office and yeah backward. people actually respect one another and treat people with civility. Tell us about your own relationship with trump. because he's he's gone after you clearly and but you overlap with them while you were governor right so you must imagine. You guys must've talked. Was it like yeah. We never have had what i would describe as a real positive relationship because again if you look at that context i believe in being a positive person so even these comments are hard for me to get because i don't like being negative on anyone. I like to spend my time looking for the good in people but in his case he i would make an exception the way i viewed at many cases is he didn't understand a lot of the issues. That were going on in michigan. So i just sort of did my own thing and i didn't worry about if he was taking credit for it for example he to talk about michigan's great comeback. All that's fine. We did make michigan comeback in. We had it going. The comeback well underway before he ever became president. And if you wanna to take credit that's fine. I try to work with them. Because we're fellow public servants. He was at the federal level as at the state level. So i didn't go out of my way to generate conflict. Because if i could help michigan by getting them on board to do something for michigan that would be good

Breonna Taylor’s Case and Protests

"To ah handful of cops about the raid in Louisville in which Briana Taylor was shot and killed. A story that was brutally miss reported by the media for a very long time, a lot of just utterly untrue narratives repeated over and over again and still going on today. By the way, there's a Yahoo news, which is unforgivably biased in an accurate is out with a story that is just It is the half truth. That is a lie, but a couple of things complicating the situation. The Briana Taylor thing was that there are multiple warrants being served simultaneously. Because it had to do with a drug gang selling all sorts of narcotics narcotics, including fentanyl, and there have been hundreds of overdoses and and it was seen as a very urgent thing in Louisville. And the situation Wass. They did not want to do the slower kind of search warrant you, Khun do if and this is the way the law enforcement officer put it to me if the evidence is too big to flush You do what's called a surround and call out. You can't flush a gun. You can't flush is safe, full of something or other or a person, right? You surround the house. You call him out. You say Listen, we're coming in. But why don't you come out and talk to us? We have a warrant. That sort of thing. There are dynamic search warrants where you have to go and quickly because evidence could be destroyed and this appears to be the sort that they were serving there. Because it was all about money and records and that sort of thing. Um It's incredibly unfortunate that that boyfriend the new boyfriend was there and he was armed and didn't know it was the cops, he says. A couple of criticisms. With all due respect from this law enforcement officer number one were they in plain clothes? That's not good. Now there is certainly a role for plainclothes officers, and you might have plainclothes lookouts toe have your back. Is your going in to do your stuff, But he said his agency, which is a large one, it is flaming Lee obvious. Who's a cop? So I looked out the window and I see somebody in Khakis and a shirt. With a gun yelling open the door, I guess is the police. Yes, I'll just hope it's the police. Yeah, he said. Now He's got to believe they're wearing bulletproof vests and whatever in something that identified them is police. But that's not been clear from the coverage. So he said That is something his agency would never do. And I brought him. I said, You know, we've been in the Housing developments, their apartment complexes or whatever the minute a cop is within a quarter mile year. Well, everybody, let's everybody else know that the cops were coming, he said. Yeah, that's just part of it, he said, but we always clearly identified himself. Ourselves. The other thing, he said, is that the one really out of bounds thing, and it violates every law of firearm safety. Whether you're kompromat is firing blindly through walls and or doors. You just You don't do that, particularly in an apartment complex. That's just an egregious violation of training and protocol. So that's why the one guy's getting Prosecutors on the one guy that did get charged. Got charged with that. Yeah, Yeah. Um, let's see him trying to, you know, the only Other thing I would throw in and it's funny. This is the third Ah! Large police department. I've heard this from directly in the last month or so. Morale is terrible, terrible, and they are losing officers by the dozens. Some big city police departments are down 101 150 officers. And there's a our particular equipment place that you go to get equipment or turn in equipment when you are resigning. And the officer. I spoke to said every time he's in the equipment place, there's a guy standing there turning in his gear, which never used to be the truth. There's an

Pleasures of food and sex 'simply divine', says Pope Francis

"Pope Francis says, according to Yahoo News this morning. The pleasures of food and sex are simply divine. Why don't noses the pope? Many would argue with him. He go. The pope goes on to say pleasures arrived directly from God. It's neither Catholic nor Christian or anything else. It's just simply divine, okay. That's an interesting, like, like you said, everything anybody would argue with him. But the fact that the pope said it that is that is

Biden turns attention back to coronavirus and reopening of schools

"President trump. And his administration had done their jobs. Early on with this crisis, Merican schools would be open and open safely. Instead American families all across this country are paying the price for his failures. Mr President or are you? Where are you? Why aren't you working on this? We need emergency support funding for schools and we need it now. Sue. President. That's your job. That's your job. Today Joe Biden called the opening of of schools quote a National Emergency Joe. Biden said that if he were elected president, he would direct. Federal Emergency Management Agency to provide emergency relief funding to immediately help K. through twelve schools with ventilation personal protective equipment, and hiring more teachers in other words, provide federal government funding to give schools and teachers what they need to actually reopen schools and what parents need to trust the reopening of schools joining us. Now, is Linda Darling, Hammond President, and CEO of the Learning Policy Institute and a professor at Stanford. University. She is one of the education officials who briefed the vice-president Biden about his school reopening plan also with us Dr J. Blackstock an emergency medical physician. She is also the founder and CEO of advancing health equity and a Yahoo News medical contributor. Dr Let me start with you. What do you think is the science requires for the reopening of schools. So that there are several factors at play. The most important factor is the community transmission rate currently the CDC in whol staying five percent competivity rate anything about that. It's not safe to open and so looking at that number only are a number of areas throughout the country that are prepared open New York City with positive rate of less than one percent, and then after looking at community transmission rate have to think about the resources that schools have spent elation math being able to a separate cohort students into smaller groups having faith as well as school nurses. So all those factors are incredibly important for parents to consider. When deciding to send their kids to school Linda Darling Hammond. Did you advise Joe Biden. A needed to be done for the reopening of schools. Well, there's a couple of things that we need. Certainly, we need all of the things that the doctor just listed. In schools in order to make them safe and there are costs associated with those things. Thus far, the Recovery Act that has been passed has spent less than one percent of all that money on supporting schools to get the resources that they need to be able to open in addition to the things that were just mentioned. There's the need for additional cleaning and disinfecting and there's the need for adequate testing and tracing so that if there are cases they can be immediately dealt. With in quarantine So we need the funding that's been held up in the Congress ought to get to school so that those things are available We also need clear guidance from the CDC about the level of infection at which a community can safely open schools and the ways in which they should treat cases for quarantining and closing down when there are cases that occur in schools. All of those things are being taken up by the states but right now, the states have had quite a big hit in terms of the economy and so they are operating quite often in deficit and need of the federal support in order to be able to do the job that needs to be done. Let's listen to what Dr Anthony Veltri told Andrea Mitchell today about the infection rate and how it is still running much too high. About forty, thousand a day. Right around forty thousand new cases. That's an unacceptably high baseline. We've gotta get down I'd like to see a ten thousand or less hopefully less. So Really WanNa use this opportunity almost to have plea to the people in this country to realize that we really still need to get our arms around this and to suppress these types of surges that we've seen.

"I hate to be the bearer of bad tidings. But Joe Biden is not well just does not sound well. He does not sound like he's with it. It's not that's ageism. There's plenty of people who are his age who are totally with it. But what we're watching right now is is not is not a man who is well, frankly, and the fact that he's being trotted out there on the campaign trail is an act of some sort of cruelty. Except that he may end up president of the United States Today, Joe Biden went on on Yahoo News. And he suggested at the National Association of Black Journalists and Black People aren't divers like the Latino people? That's right. He was getting openly racist, but it's okay because he's senile. Here is Joe Biden being kind of senile? What you all know, but most people don't know. Unlike the African American community, with notable exceptions, the Latino community is incredibly diverse community. With incredibly different attitudes about different things. That's it. Weird Take so black people all think the same Latino people think differently. Well done. Joe Biden and his weird Joker teeth smile. Weird stuff. Weird stuff there. Also, he just got wildly incoherence in the same interview. I mean, like, just cannot string together a sentence. I'm so forward looking Toa have an opportunity to sit with the president or stand with the president and debates there going to be plenty of time. And by the way, as I joke with them, you know I shouldn't say I'm going to say something. I know I probably shouldn't say. Anyway I am. I am very willing to let the American public judge my physical mental filled my physical as well as my mental filled fitness. I'm on Nyquil. I sound better than that. Dead serious. I got a bad cold and the home right now because I'm getting a covert test to make sure that I don't have goals and I'm on Nyquil. And I am on a variety of other things, and I sound significantly better than Joe Biden. And before, he said, right cause that ziti. I understand that's why I'm saying I'm saying that that guy has lost it. He's lost it and that is not even close to coherent. I'm more than happy to show my medical and physical phenomena. I never knew what happened. How it happened. T b d to be just turned into the Swedish chef from the Muppets. Then he bust his China policy to He's not speaking English. Maybe speaking Chinese. I have no idea what language he's speaking here here is the way Trump the way China will respond is when we gather the rest of the world that, in fact, invasion and free and an open trade and making sure that we're in a position that the world that we deal with W H o the right way. That then, In fact, that's when things began to change. That's when China that's when China's behavior is going to change, Bob That's what I'm sorry. That's what it sounds like a teacher from from Charlie Brown. That's not my fault. I mean, like the teacher from Charlie Brown supposedly sounds like that. Because the kids don't listen to these old I'm listening to him was just the sounds coming out of that weird old grill. And then Joe Biden asked a journalist yesterday, CBS News Black journalists Weather is a junkie journalist was like, Have you taken a mental competence? Yesterday? I wouldn't take a mental competence test if you're a pigeon. And I've been like pigeons. Are you a junkie? By the way, like What in the alright, but don't question his mental fitness guys, don't Please clarify specifically. Have you taken a cognitive? No, I haven't taken a test. Why the hell would I take a test? Come on, man. That's like saying you before you got in this trouble If you take a test where you're taking cocaine or not, What do you think? Are you a Jody? You say to President Trump, who brags about his test on makes you state an issue for voters. That's hilarious. His mouth When Joe Biden is that uncomfortable, he gives you the Joker grin and his mouth actually connects at the back of his head. It's amazing is likely low in stature goes all the way back to the back of his head. That is not a competent person. That is not somebody who ought to be president of the United States. Now look, he's banking on the fact that President Trump says weird stuff of his own, which is like Trump should go to the basement. Honestly, we just have a basement battle over stays in the basement longer gets to be president. That's pretty much like whoever the focus is on. People like that guy shouldn't be president. More people see a Biden unless they want him to be president. The more they see if Trump unless they want him to be president seems to be the sort of pattern here. Meanwhile, President Trump was out there today, saying that Joe Biden was going to hurt God, which is a weird take. Joe Biden's policies put.

"So is the reading to you this is from Yahoo news United Kingdom the effects of a long term lockdown could do more damage than corona virus itself an Oxford professor has warned professor Carl Heneghan director of the center for evidence based medicine said okay events based medicine at Oxford university told radio four S. today programme in fact the damaging effect now of the lockdown is going to outweigh the damaging effects of coronavirus I don't think in my life I have taken a position the vet has received more contempt than anger and hatred then the one from the beginning that I asked I didn't adjust S. is the cure worse than the disease I wrote that in March and what is the difference between those who want to keep going and those who wants to responsibly ran through the world and the label people to have an income the difference is is very important to ask that question what is the difference since nobody wants the economy to be shattered and nobody wants people to die there's gotta be a difference right with both both have a sim have similar desires so what what are the differences how do you you might listen how do you explain it I think that one difference is the the acceptance all of all right the acceptance of the fact that there were you always pay a price that there was no answer to some riddles of life so you have to weigh but it is so emotional to wait against lives I think it's a motion it's not a reason it's the motion and it's not values unless you truly believe which people on the left Mike the people on the right don't care about people's lives but it's a little silly because that means they don't care about their own parents lives since their parents are the ones most likely to die because of age or underlying conditions so hi I have contempt for the destructive me a lipstick chaos inducing character character of leftist but I don't believe leftists don't care for their parents thought I I do live in the world of reality but they don't when I read of the attacks on conservatives who want to open up their state it is almost all wikis it's almost always accompanied by the language of stock market over life's one of the sick and evil parts of the left is the inability to believe that those who differ with you may have good motives all right I believe that I never recess the left motors five I've said my whole people with good motives do some of the most evil in the history of the world motives don't mean a damn thing behavior is everything but but they're all motives says all you care about your stock portfolio but the people do you did you see the people in Michigan and elsewhere who demonstrated to open up the state do they look like billionaires with stock portfolios right what do they look like middle class and even lower middle class income wise those are the people my heart breaks for not for me by the way has the government continue to pay government workers exactly as if there were no no crisis thanks thanks that is vile that is just vile this so there was no they haven't there are no consequences accepts their stocks there which will presumably rise again there is no consequence if you work for the government only if you work in the private sector what a deal what a deal anyway what they're being paid with is is gradually workforce analysts called money print more print a couple trillion right I think there's another difference we think much more rationally than the left and rationally you realize that disease is part of life we have to conquer it we have to do everything we can but we cannot destroy the world this is this is beyond belief that the world has gone into locked down do you understand I mean the if this were a movie it would be it would be called science fiction the moment the Modi did in India and I thought about the people who don't have access to food if Americans are do you see the parking lots filled gigantic parking lots people coming for food in the United States of America that I never expected to see there's another.

"However do add embryos from Yahoo news so forgive me if my reading sucks today the results however do add an important piece of knowledge that the White House science advisors have been seeking as they scramble to respond to the spreading pandemic the study found that the risk of transmission from services outdoors is lower during daylight and under higher temperature and humidity conditions sunlight destroys the virus quickly read the briefing so I have knowing this book closing playgrounds in June yeah okay I mean I as anybody reading the information is coming out saying an epic outdoor activities for the summer may look good and that department homeland security is briefed on these and these results but they were cautioning that it you know it enclosed areas with low humidity like airplanes of course may require some additional care to minimize the risk of transmission so they're very very very aware of it airplanes may be still you know breeding grounds for disease the department of homeland security when Yahoo news contacted them department of homeland security declined to answer any questions about the findings about the sunlight and about what sunlight and heat and humidity does to a disease have a strongly cautioned against drawing any conclusions based on published data of this of course is typical get a ray of hope from people but is it basically it gets dismissed by the authorities based on what I mean we we don't get any answers only the same draconian measures we keep us on the track and being kept in a prison where area governor's act like wardens last week apple and Google unveiled a rail park they actually unveiled a rare partnership we're gonna add technology to their smart form platforms it will alter users if they have come into contact with the person who has covered nineteen although actually alert users that allow for the moment that the magical dot go they'll be alerting users if they have come into contact with the personal cover nineteen you get a little alert on your phone but you have to opt into the system but here here's the thing it has the potential to monitor about a third of the world's population so in the coming months apple and Google we'll be adding the technology directly into the operating system so this contact tracing software works without having downloading an app I mean you can but you don't have to mean apple's iOS and Google's android of about three billion users between them and so they're saying well we can use this technology to monitor people who have coverage but we'll keep your privacy safe when going to a judge we'll keep your privacy safe yeah I know they won't I don't trust several I mean if you look at what the electronic frontier foundation's saying mad they're they're they're like wow I mean I mean look they understand that the data Google holds could help fight against over nineteen we all know this right but they cautioned that consent should be required before date is use of the process must be transparent this is what they said this is what the Electronic Frontier Foundation said quote experts will often be working within private companies with proprietary access to the data if they make all the right choices the public needs to be able to review these choices because the companies are sharing the public's data they're basically calling on Google releases full methodology Edward Snowden weighed in on this too he said in an interview last month he said there's not really any hard evidence of this is that this is gonna work this is not GPS on your phone this is not something easy that you know even if you put your phone in airplane mode you're gonna have data captured what do you consent to it or not the verge they do a lot of technology stories they said the data is clean only from users who have already opted into storing their location history does have users disable their location history they should prevent them from the majority of the tracking so technology is now allowing for the monitoring of individuals to better enforce state home orders so you know these guys are going into business to enforce state home orders and obviously this isn't over yet because they're not going to lose their money right I mean if you're doing it if this is gonna be a long term thing I mean this is a long term is going to be like a Thor tarian type of stuff going on I mean Israel right now if you violate your quarantine you're subject to seven years in prison so you can use location data you use that all you're out hanging out with people it's a seven seven year prison term you can combine I mean with have you something he said the jail just because your phone ratted on you to walk a lot he walked his dog all he didn't pick up the poop and he's going to jail because he didn't practice separation laws and think of all the law enforcement and all that oh my gosh there's some serious abuse waiting to happen here I mean I can imagine was going to the black community I can just imagine because of our community I know that people are protesting go and you see all the people on base we're going to use any ads are all morons right trump supporters you know what I don't even like the idea of being under house arrest and that's what this is orders by government officials to keep you under house arrest if it's over a virus outbreak even according to the latest U. S. government numbers will claim fewer lives seasonal flu outbreak of twenty seventeen twenty eighteen sure enough I mean look millions of businesses have been shut down by executive order and the unemployment rate is skyrocketing levels not seen since the Great Depression and we're wondering what's gonna happen next yeah maybe we won't even want to leave our homes after this I mean look real Americans in real people out there have seen their real wages decline thanks to federal reserve monetary malpractice and now they're finding themselves thrust into poverty and standing in bread lines I mean this is this is a horror movie me last week U. N. secretary general he warned of a global I mean the the U. N. secretary general warned that up there with the recession in a global recession the result from the worldwide crowbars lockdown and it could cost hundreds of thousands of additional child deaths per year you know how that happened starvation Kissinger got his dream never talk about scarcity we're talking about Kissinger well Kissinger's getting his dream hundreds of thousands of children dead your blame that on people who don't want to social distance if you do you're a moron has nothing to do with that nothing everything was planned by these evil **** they're willing to do you in because they don't care about you.

been so in that trump lightly I just wondered whether not to because I know you guys got a lot of sources out there whether you heard something somewhere or do you know anything that would confirm that I have not I have not seen that yet not to say it's not true but I think that minutes as I call them back in the day mittens I think he's just better about losing and about from you know of smack him upside the head with his verbiage Janice the weight yes is down his opponents and I think that's just bitter and I don't know if the people in in the great city target I want to keep dealing with this what comes next election time I just this seems petty and better and I think I you know I'm not a Utah on and never lived there but they're few times beautiful state but I I just can't imagine that this is selling you know is is is is some attractive to him you know this tax so much on trump the bitterness against him let's go to I'll read James on Long Island you're on red eye radio hello James ada and I'm the smoking gun that they're always talking about is really just a water pistol and the terminology of impeachment Israeli impairment because they're stopping the president from doing his job and and we have to be honest about hunter Biden not heating get kicked out of the navy or using cocaine he just like the way it smelled and the thing is that we got understand is Donald Trump is like so he's not he's not a cocaine eve it's not that is get on okay just like the way it smells satisfy your your site the weights now they didn't use the dislike the way yeah okay that makes sense okay but but what I want to say is there they're looking for that kryptonite you know because Donald Trump be he's like ball approve everything they throw Adam bounces off and and they're just making fools of themselves and it's making a stronger for everybody they'll be no chores but Donald Trump by the time it's time to relax it I think it'll be the biggest landslide new ways there's three with Donald Trump the winner I actually don't see and I actually really do agree with you now I used to think I don't know and this and that but I I I agree with you I very much agree with you now I mean if they if they thought they could be on they wouldn't be doing this this is so embarrassing this is so stupid who does this not long Republicans to be able to ask questions and not along Republicans have subpoena power like they do which was how was the Clinton investigation and the on Nixon investigation impeachments not allowing the people's testimony to be released the Republic at like it was in the previous testaments testimony it's saying that if you don't cooperate in this rig then you're going to be out of jail now and come after that look interesting you this is stupid I'm in this is embarrassing it is and hi a here's the funny part to his one of things mentioned today at Yahoo news chef Adam Schiff course running this whole thing Schiff says that secret testimony is aimed at keeping trump in the dark see who we can hide it from him why would you hide your cues in him this is not American justice we all know that the secret hearings wool and now we're hearing tonight by the way this morning there's new potential whistle blowers wool who knew let's talk to can in Virginia you live a WBAP I can I'm sorry your on red eye radio forgive me Debbie gave these my home station which is a red eye radio affiliate I've been saying that for eight years so I follow your own red eye radio across America how that go ahead Sir thank you yes I was wondering I heard earlier today I was listening to a radio host wondering how Mr Biden was it really into running for president and I'm wondering if how much this figured into his one having to run is that he's actually getting protection from the PNC because he's running for president unless you send that you you think maybe that the divide and doesn't want to win he just wants I'm not clear which is sent he's getting cover because he's running is getting kind of her from the DNC for what he meant what he did for crane if he was a running for president amazing running so that he doesn't get busted on what he did the Ukraine your sign exactly I've never heard that that's interesting because think about about it Mr trump could know best the what was the what was the reason for Mr trump talking to eight every is entitled to their thoughts their opinions Kane in Kansas you're on the red eye radio Sir Christopher stone listening I'm joined it I had a question what will make the independent party collective Green Party and the Libertarian Party more you know approachable because right now they're seen as a joke they had last election cycle than the Libertarian Party yeah like Gary Johnson he was a joke and they also have this dude named Herman supreme promising everyone the United States if you collected president of free ponine and throwing glitter bombs on everyone else in the room sounds like a good campaign a mate the that is the punk it's a pink only the flies yeah but the last presidential independent that you can have you know more than five percent of the vote was Ross Perot back in the nineties but I don't see most Democrats and Republicans say that they're moderates because they don't have another choice to go to if they will have another baby you get both from I take a look in his eye you're you're not calling a specific tool we're talking all right now the whole pieces of years asking general will libertarians ever be taken seriously or just any other independent party because if there's there's I think if they if they have a serious platform that might be taken seriously I I don't think you and and the people you mention as I agree with you that I don't think any of them were serious candidates and so many of them just for me and only me is like a little slides is get that here you know I think if somebody's serious you know from poor ran as an independent maybe I love what he's doing now I mean he is he's pimp slap in the Republican Party and the Democratic Party upside the head you know and it's a great rude awakening and I don't agree with everything he does but damn do I like this guy and I like I was shaking it all up all right out here's the thing I want to get into a few more things on all the impeachment stuff if you just "That better. I feel better about it. Exactly. Right now. Why is it fading out? I don't know why that fades out it shouldn't. I didn't put it in as a fade. It should just be again, a buddy it's fate for some reason fades fades out. All right. So carries out of here until Monday. But we appreciate the strong two and a half hours today. She said she needed a break after the two and a half hours. So there's a lot going on allowed, Omar. Of course is the district five democrat from the great state of of Minnesota. There's something very wrong with Minnesota that they elected this person. I can I tell you something Minnesota. I love you. But your excuses to me as you write me. Another. We can do that's a big Somali community there. Well, I think that you could have brought out to the Somali community in your area that the person that they were looking to elect somebody who does not represent the value system of Minnesota. I'm guessing she doesn't represent the values of Somalis unless allegedly marrying your brother, then lying on official court documents that you didn't is something that every Somali agrees with or something. I think that you probably could have done a better job in supporting the person who's running against her. I think that would have made sense because I'm really confused that this person is representing any part of any state in the United States of America as other deal with a religion. It doesn't do is where she's from it has to do with her hatred for Israel, and it has to do with the idea that she would like to tax people as high as ninety percent. That just doesn't fly for me. And the fact that that so many people think that's okay. Is truly stunning. She didn't get this video audio don't know they'll get the video going, but I'll play the audio. There's sort of a podcast or some sort of a show or something hosted by somebody. I'd never heard of the person's name is I guess her is and the person's name is Selby Zaida Selby. I I've never heard of this first before we go. From Yahoo news. Anneke here anyone area the new green deal. Yeah. All. How again, how do you propose doing that on a on a very practical level because some of these critics are coming from the Democratic Party? It's not only from the Republican party. So there are a few things that we can do one of them is that we could increase the taxes that people are paying. Who are the extremely wealthy in in our communities. So seventy percent eighty percent. We've had it as high as ninety percents. Oh, sorry. Seventy percent. Eighty percent. We've had it as high as ninety percents. Let that sink in sit back let that marinate a little bit in your head. I don't know what level of wealth. She's talking about. But guess what? It doesn't matter. It doesn't matter. The level of wealth. Does it matter? Because generally speaking, you got that because either you earned it or somebody else earned it left for you. So why she thinks that she gets to take a bunch of it is confusing to me. Again, I hire you and give you ten dollars an hour. In her world. There's nothing wrong with taking nine of those dollars leaving you with one I want you to really legitimately think about it. Mathematically. You make one hundred dollars. She wants the government to keep ninety. You get ten Paul has it to you. Sure. Okay. You're happy to give them ninety. And you keep ten, of course. Not. No. It doesn't make any sense. I it's just it's it's not only is dumb. It's silly. I'll never forget. There was an interview of Will Smith who is somebody who's a leftist somebody who believes in high taxes on the rich, and he was being interviewed somewhere in France. It must be five years ago. And the guy in France said not should you be taxed higher you said. Yeah. Sure. How high I don't know. The guy said would you pay fifty percent? Yep. They said would you pay seventy five he goes fountain pay seventy five. Five. So there's some sort of limit. There's some sort of lying somewhere in these. Uber dense Uber leftist Democrats that the well. Wait a second. You're taking three quarters at everydollar. I'm not sure I follow what you're talking about. It's gonna happen. And she just said, well, we've had that. We had ninety maybe we had ninety Baleno. We had seventy. And that was Jimmy Carter. And he ruined the economy and the country was in abysmal shape. Reagan comes in makes twenty eight and the country went nuts in a good way. The country went ballistic in a positive fashion jobs came back prosperity came back wage growth came back. Happy days are here again. And guess what? When you've got some money in your pocket through a good economy. You also start loving the country again and nationalism came back not white nationalism. Now, black nationalism not Hispanic net. Just nationalist. We love the nation. This is how off her rocker. This woman is and yes, Minnesota somehow you allowed a district in your state. To elect this person. Because when governor doofus was bringing all these smileys in maybe just maybe some some Minnesotans should've stayed living there, and maybe just maybe you should have helped them acclimate to their new surroundings instead of having the surroundings acclimate to them. Maybe just maybe. Now, you've got a person who allegedly married. Her brother come here immigrate here illegally. Somehow green card or whatever. But they allegedly were married for eight years, then she said she hadn't seen him for years and years, and they were Facebook photos proving that that just wasn't true. And she's a person who tweeted out before you elected her. Her disdain for Israel. And now she's looking for for taxes as high as ninety percent, and she thinks somehow economically that works. I guess she's of the belief. That this is somehow worked in history. I just want to know when in history ninety percent taxes worked. And made for a prosperous country. Because it's really weird to me. Pick it up from there. All over all how again, how do you propose doing that on a on a very practical level because some of these critics are coming from the Democratic Party. It's not, you know, not only from the Republican party. So there are a few things that we can do one of them is that we could increase the taxes that people are paying. Who are the extremely wealthy in in our communities. Seventy percent eighty percent. We've had it as high as ninety percents. The other thing that we can do is we can tax corporations or or have them level out the gap that exists with their workers. I'm also want tax corporations. Of course, we have proof that when you lower the corporate tax from thirty five down to twenty one where it is now corporations promise, billions of dollars of new construction of new plants here, they hire people and gave a bunch of regular Americans either raises bonuses or both. But she was textile rations now to that really looks at the defense budget that we have that has increased nearly fifty percent assets nine eleven right. Why did it increase fifty percents as nine eleven because we are under attack by radical Islamic terrorists. Let me she has. Right. You've been here. A long time. She doesn't know why the defense budget was increased. So she wants to cut defense raise corporate taxes and raise individual taxes as high as ninety percent that's her strategy for winning. And so most of the money that we have in. There is much more than we spend on education on health care. I mean, I think what makes up for a lot of people is taxing the rich up to eighty ninety percent or seventeen and one percent whose pay fish, but one she says you can hear because be talking over the one percent must pay their fair share. That's what she just said. The one percent must pay their fair share even those who support that they say, good luck getting bats, are you planning on having this negotiations dialogue or bridge-building to actually get that happening? I mean the influence. Of money in politics is is severe. And so a lot of us really have been working to limit the influence corporations and the wealthy have on on congress. I it's it's just to me. It's crazy. It's crazy. You work your ass off you make a bunch of money. It's yours in somebody thinks she can just have it because she said, so. It's really weird. And yet Minnesota and blaming you. You can get mad at me all you want. I'm blaming you should have been an influence an influx of Minnesota that predated the Somali refugees coming in and Dayton wanting to bring so many in wanting to bring even more in and Keith Ellison, the attorney general there, which is unbelievable to me. You're lucky this guy. You returning general who wants to bring even more refugees in because they're purposely reshaping the state to get people in office that they want an office. It just doesn't make sense. Oh, yeah. But Joe the most of the states red. Right. Geographically. But where the urban centers are the big population centers. Are you guys have allowed for there to be a takeover? Not just you. I mean, look at Michigan Dearborn and Hamtramck. This again, it's not about religion. It's about a takeover by a different value system. It's very weird. It's weird to me. Eight eight eight nine four one pags joepags dot com. Keep it right here. Yeah. From the wwl way. I traffic center..

"Mike Isikoff chief investigative correspondent for Yahoo news. And I'm Dan Kleinman that our chief of Yahoo news. So Sean, welcome to bury treasure. It is great to be here. You did. A rare thing in this extrordinary piece that just went up on. Yahoo news you manage to break news on one of the most scrutinized in crucial events in modern US history. Tell us quickly how Tom Hewitt and his agents pull this off. And then I wanna talk to you a little bit about how you got onto this story in the first place. So Thome Hewitt was a case officer in the Miami station of the CIA, which in the early nineteen sixties was the largest station the had in the world with hundreds of employees, basically running operations into Cuba. Analyzing what was going on in Cuba, and so forth as Castro's grip on power tightened? And as people became increasingly communist, Thome Hewitt ran. A small team of agents initially into western Cuba. And we describe in in the story how they infiltrated Cuba and he had trained particularly his principal agent. Aman called Esteban Marquez Novo who was a former Cuban military member in the sort of top level clandestine trait craft and he'd given him about six to eight month. Training course in how to do that all of that sort of stuff and after infiltrating the team it turned out the muck as Nova was absolute natural at this. And he was able to build up a network inside of western Cuba that eventually some estimates included as many as one hundred sort of members, and what was his mission when he went in. It wasn't a discover nuclear missile. No, no his mission. His mission was was essentially, twofold. It was to set up a network. Work that could be used, and I don't think they ever anticipated. It was going to grow as large as it did. But to set up a network that could be used primarily to gather intelligence and potentially to conduct sort of resistance operations actual sort of covert attacks that sort of in effect they were sleeper agents. Right. I mean, they were there. They weren't conducting operations per se wasn't sabotage going on. They weren't blowing up railroad tracks or buildings. They were there to sort of be sleeper agents to await for an order from presumably from Tom Hewitt to begin military resistance to the Castro regime yet. The only reason I wouldn't use the phrase sleeper agent, they were operational the operations they were conducting intelligence gathering operation that is agent. Does isn't it? I mean intelligence I tend to think of a sleeper agent as somebody who's just laying low and waiting for the green light. But. Maybe I'm thinking of the legals, you know, that the Russians had placed in the in the United States, but they actually were not not to get on a tangent. Here..
