"Bloomberg 99 one to Boston, Bloomberg one O 6 one, this in Francisco, Bloomberg 9 16 to the country, Syria's XM channel one 19, and around the globe, the Bloomberg business act in Bloomberg radio dot com. This is Bloomberg markets. All right, coming up in this half hour. We're going to check in with Matt stuck. He's senior portfolio manager at Northwestern Mutual get his thoughts on these markets. Then we're going to talk to Oscar cost party managing partner at McKinsey in North America. He joins the show to discuss his new book, the titanium economy. I'm also talking about just industrial America's supply chain, all that good stuff because we had some good caterpillar numbers today. But first, let's go to John Tucker and get a Bloomberg business job. Yeah, that was the good. Here's the bad meta platforms fall. Most active right now down 21%. That's actually an improvement. But stocks are to some degree shrugging off the big tech earnings misses and certainly don't count out the American consumer that could be a theme today. Mastercard seeing quarterly purchase volume, jumping 15%, and we're more than happy to pay more for our Big Macs, McDonald's shares handily beating the expectations, and rising prices, a GDP data that held some encouraging signs as well. Let's get more on that front from Bloomberg's Vinny Dale June ice. Rebounded following a pair of losses in advance in a 2.6% pace during a third quarter. Chalk it up to resilient consumer spending and business investment though inflation and interest rates leave the economy vulnerable, a recession perhaps. Housing is down the weakest performance since the onset of the pandemic. America's labor market is holding up though with weekly jobless claims near historic lows that eat doubt should ice Bloomberg radio. All right, thanks, Benny and S&P 500 right now, 27 points higher. That is up three quarters of a percent, the downshifts of duster leverage, up 546 points. That's up 1.7%. Caterpillar, one of the components there, the NASDAQ 100, it is down just 7 points right now. And we check the markets for you every 15 minutes during the trade. They run here on Bloomberg radio. I'm John Tucker, that is your Bloomberg business flash call. All right, John Tucker, good stuff we appreciate

"You'll see the SEC, I believe, and the Big Ten continue to add teams have their own playoff like the AFC and the NFC and the NFL have their own national championship game and force the creation of another tier of college football for everybody else below them because those people will not be involved in the new national championship playoff series. That was ESPN college football analyst Trevor managed on game night on ESPN radio talking about what he thinks is going to happen to the college football playoff moving forward. If that's the future, are you in? Is college football for getting about the mega fans in the process of growth? It's the poll fine bomb show on ESPN radio, the ESPN app series XM channel 81, Jason Fitz in for palm. You can tweet me at Jason Fitz. We're also asking you guys what food you would absolutely house if I gave you ten minutes to eat as much as humanly possible. By the way, donuts, my answer, the little tiny donuts. Man, I can get through a bag of those in an embarrassing amount of time. I feel really strong about that. I'm not so much a speed. I'm more of a marathon runner eater, like I tried this against my goal of junior, I did not know at the time the concept of chipmunk, which is, by the way, when you smash as much in your mouth as possible, Mike has a much bigger mouth. He beat me, but it was on a 92nd Adolf. I still believe that if you gave me, for example, an hour, I could embarrass somebody like go look when it comes to the amount of donuts I consume. That's all I'm saying. It makes a big difference to have the time. If you're giving me time, some people, you just write us a reply in the break here. So what's a crab legs? Do you have any idea how long it takes to pull apart a crab leg to be able to actually eat that thing? Yeah, you might win with three crab legs. Congratulations. Three crab legs in ten minutes. But if you give me unlimited time, I am the only person in this room that can ever say I was removed from a national seafood establishment that was doing all you could eat crab. When they finally walked in and they said, you've gone too far. And I was like on hour four. Better be on your LinkedIn. 855-242-7285. Let's go to Adrian and Florida Adrian. First.

"Bloomberg would bring up to Washington D.C. to Boston Bloomberg one O 6 one to entrance this go Bloomberg 9 16 to the country Syria's XM channel one 19 and around the globe the Bloomberg business app in Bloomberg radio dot com This is Bloomberg surveillance And good morning I'm Karen Moscow along with Tom Keene and Paul Sweeney and the S&P 500 ish lower at the open down 14 points at 41 44 that's done about a third of a percent The Dow Jones Industrial Average down 7 tenths percent or 223 points at 32,982 And then Alistair is a little changed at 12,124 Ten year treasury down 24 30 seconds Yale 2.82% the yield on the two year 2.53% Nymex crude oil is up three and a half percent at $4 at a $118 99 cents a barrel And comex gold is down a tenth of a percent or $2 30 cents at 1855 ounce The Euro 1.0712 against the dollar the yen one 28.54 Bitcoin is higher up one and a half percent at $31,700 Tom and Paul Karen thanks so much Greatly appreciate it World's been can we say can we pause here Sure Staggering in the June The best day to check in the world Darren Moscow No question Across equities bonds currencies come on Which you like to do best Karen And she may be I like them all I'm an equal opportunity with all of them Now they're all good All the numbers Now she does Bitcoin She does crypto too That's what she said That's a new arrow in the quiver 32,000 rounded up It's bottom Oh yeah okay You buy below $30,000 Sensitive topic at Davos Yeah there was some conversations on it to say the least right now David Balan with us City global wealth chief investment officer in always a treasure to speak to David the simplicity is after last week have we seen a bottom in the equity market but rather than that silly question how do markets form a so called bottom Well I think in many ways they form a bottom after they reach an extreme time And it sort of known extreme where they have gone too far And there was a moment a week ago Wednesday when we saw the equity market almost look like it was capitulated It was down the SB was down 20% for about 30 seconds And that could have looked like a bottom But I think it's difficult to call the bottom also until you have all of the facts in there are a few major things that are still to come that I think could make them equity markets go lower And that's what the market is going to be worried about And those are quantitative tightening We've seen interest rates rise substantially We've seen people worried about the fed and what they're going to do in the future in terms of the number of rate rises to deal with inflation but people have not been talking about quantitative tightening they're removing liquidity from the markets And that's still right in front of us And then ultimately we also have to go through a series of earnings revisions in four equities for companies because right now when you look at earnings analysts are still expecting to be up 10% this year and 10% next year and that seems highly unlikely to me Talking about a soft landing which I think is what this administration this Federal Reserve would love to navigate towards How do you think about that Is that something that is reasonable or do you think stagflation slash recession is kind of inevitable here Some people thought maybe even prior to last week maybe Yeah the issue that the fed has is it's using conventional forces to fight an unusual enemy right Because the nature of what we're talking about are two types of inflation rate two events the pandemic and the war and the inflation that it's caused which are largely in food prices and energy prices is really not much that you can do to make wheat come down in price or oil come down in price by raising rates You can destroy demand in order to reduce prices But that's going to be a very slow process So in order to have a soft landing you need a fed that's patient and you also need the willingness to accept that as inflation data begins to trend down You've been gently let's assume that the rate at the end of the year was 6 and a half percent that they would be satisfied with that And I don't think the evidence is clear at all that they will be What do you do with big tech because if I partition any given companies into those with free cash flow profit making they have a story out three years or 5 years away from all the uncertainties right now there's other companies that do not have those attributes How do you study the two in partition between profit making and nonprofit making tech It is the hardest thing to discern time because what you're talking about is exactly of course first of all the discount rate is the interest rate And if interest rates stay where they are they come down a little bit Now we're going to begin looking again at cash flows And what you have to do is you have to believe that a company is going to be able to sustain its growth rate whether it's 15% or 30% And at some point right it's cost of client acquisition and everything else becomes less relevant And you can actually envision what that cash flow is going to look like What the company will look like For those companies where there's a higher degree of certainty they're going to get a premium and for those that have been paying for their growth through the expenditure of a large amount of money to acquire clients So those companies are going to continue to do poorly But what I would say overall is that this is an environment in front of us that actually is going to be more favorable to tech than really than we have seen in the last obviously in the last 8 or 8 or 9 months because prices have normalized to a very sizable degree It's been a very significant here But if you have a three year vision in power help me here a run rate on some of these profit making Texas 12% revenue growth Plus 12 is 36% Am I right David I'm modeling out a three to 5 year Citigroup guestimate with a cushion of 36% revenue growth Well I mean that's right And what's interesting is that that's why this idea that we're having we're going back 30 years to the bubble 2002 makes no sense because the probability that you're going to see those kind of growth rates for some of these companies is pretty certain because instead of spending on typical capital equipment they're actually spending on tech and you can identify these things in a variety of spaces Whether it's whether it's cloud whether it's cybersecurity certain of the payments companies there's a high degree of certainty that you're going to have very considerable growth rates The question is can they can you see profitability Can you believe real substantial cash flow generation And for those that you can I agree with you I think they are buying So David what do you tell cities wealth clients.

"To the country Syria's XM channel one 19 and around the globe the Bloomberg business app in Bloomberg radio dot com This is Bloomberg business week As we've been reporting the Russian invasion and subsequent war with Ukraine has many fronts in moving parts Most importantly the humanitarian one the impact of course on the lives of Ukrainians It's also leading to a big rethink on where the world gets its energy and what type of energy it should be using With that in mind we had the opportunity to talk with the chairman and CEO of SunPower Peter pharisee Tim it's a renewable energy company has got about a $3.6 billion market cap It shares jumped nearly 20% or so earlier in the week driven by rising prices and sweeping sanctions on Russian imports all of a sudden the world again aggressively investors too looking at those alternative energy companies It's really interesting you know last year the residential solar business grew across the U.S. about 30% year over year So far this year we're seeing double that you know maybe triple that in terms of customer interest So just over the past couple of weeks we've seen a record number of appointments and record number of bookings And I think it all has to do with what you're describing You know people are becoming more and more aware of their energy needs they're becoming more and more aware of how much their utility bills are increasing dramatically And renewable energies specifically solar is such a great great alternative for consumers here in the U.S. So it seems to be and look this is based on my cursory research because I live in an apartment building in Brooklyn I got to tell you guys we got our con Ed Bill the charge for electricity last month went up three X It was three X the cost from the previous month So massive increase we looked into solar The bid that we got for solar says that it could only cover 6% of our buildings electric use So it's not necessarily great at least at this point for big buildings My friends who live in the suburbs however can't get solar installed on their roofs fast enough and they are giving electricity to the grid Totally true Even out here you said I'm coming in from Seattle I want you to know actually it's a partly sunny partly cloudy day out here And my solar panels have generated 50 kW of energy and I'm taking about ten of that and selling it back to the grid So you know it's kind of a misconception that solar is only for the southern part of the U.S. or only for areas that have a lot of government subsidy Our research indicates that as many as a 100 million homeowners here in the U.S. would save money every month men of their solar costs if they put solar on them Then you know I don't know if you've seen this trend Tim but more and more people were also getting solar plus battery storage And battery storage permits you to build up your storage from the sun during the day And then use that to power your house at night and power your house through any unexpected interruptions and power So it's really you know for residential consumers I think it's a business that we expect to grow dramatically over the next decade And we're glad it is because if you read the UN report you know the impact of climate change is dramatic So in addition to saving money people love being able to make a positive difference in the world too So help me out Peter and my team knows because I say this whenever we talk solar I remember growing up and we had a golf course near us and there was some new homes built and they put solar panels and then they never which was cool it made sense They could tap into the sun They didn't sell until the solar panels were removed I know the dynamics and business has changed I'm older So that's a while ago But why is it taking so long for alternative energy to ramp up more aggressively What's where is it in the supply chain or process that things get hung up Is it cost Is it efficiency Is it what Well Carol first of all I think your perception is a good example I think many people in the U.S. still think of solar from that time frame You know the panels were ugly They were kind of big and bulky maybe the energy savings was low enough that it wasn't worth the investment And that's what's changed dramatically The cost of solar is actually come down about 80% over the last 8 years which is dramatic obviously And because of more and more efficiencies in production So these new panels which are mostly clean kind of black glass almost like a flat screen TV looking Right They look more attractive They're much lower cost And then at the same time you know as Tim was saying with his bill utility bills you know are rising much faster than the consumer price index much faster than inflation You put those two things together it's become much more economically attractive and then I think the products themselves are a lot more attractive on people's homes So from our research people who put solar on their rooftop it actually adds value to their home at resale because people know coming in wow I'm going to have a very small utility bill because this home already has so long That was Peter pharisee He's chairman and CEO of SunPower You're listening to Bloomberg businessweek coming up next We're going to take a look back at our Bloomberg live event from this past week It's all about the transformation of work post pandemic or as we get out of this pandemic We're talking work shifting two Top executives sharing their vision for the future of work and the key to talent retention today Here's a hint not just about the money Surprise you Yeah that did surprise me actually I wonder if all of you out there that's a surprise to you as well This is Bloomberg.

"In Sirius XM Channel 80 Before the first hour. It's Freddie and fit. There's no Emmons is going to be Jason fits instead of if it's seven, joining for the first out what's going on Brother Man That reminds me of when they first brought to Spain and fits the lineup. And I remember talking to the bosses and saying Hey, What are you going to do about the name and I called? I called Ian and I was like, Hey, man, I think they're going to make it Fitzsimmons for you, and he's like why we've been here forever is Freddie and fits, and I'm like there's nothing. There's no images on my last name. It's just fit so I can't I don't have any way to extend it. So I'm happy to be other fits for a little bit, man. But for tonight you are defense. Let's put it that way and coming up about five minutes going to find what is the probably the Baltimore Ravens not being able to keep guys injured. Right before the opening week of the season, will do that in about five minutes, updating you on the Thursday night football game to kick off the NFL season Cowboys in Tampa Bay at the end of the first quarter, tied at seven. No one was worried about Tom Brady, Jason in terms of what he was going to do, seven of 1113 yards and one touchdown. But that Dak Prescott Guy 10 or 13, above 24 a touchdown. Those numbers could be better Had CD Land had not a case of the drop seeds on that first drive with the Cowboys are back inside the five yard line, and they're able to get it deep in the Tampa Bay Buccaneers territory for that drive. Stop because CD Lamb had his hands betrayed him on that first. Dr. Yeah, and that's what's interesting to me. You know, when you think about what we saw early Its control. It's quick decision making its decisiveness. It's knowing where you want to go with the football and, you know, you always wonder about how a quarterback that's had a leg injury or an ankle injury will react to defenders at his feet, and we saw a little of that, even on the opening drive, and it didn't seem to cause any sort of hesitation for Dak. Dak Looks like he's absolutely in control of where he's going with this offense, so If you're a Cowboys fan you're looking at and saying, Hey, this heck of a way to start, But neither team seems to be committed to playing much defense. So far, the one thing that surprised me more than anything else on the first drive of the Dallas Cowboys, their defense. Got a three and out They didn't getting out 13 and out last year at all through 16 games, they're crossing being facetious, but that's how bad the defense was. They looked a little bit aggressive in getting that three and out on the first job you would expect. That that side of the football for the Dallas Cowboys should be better because they couldn't be any worse. Last year, the tally Buccaneers get a touchdown. The next drive in the Cowboys forced a punt again. So if you're a Cowboys fan of which I'm raising my hand being a Cowboys fan, just seeing that I know it's week one, Jason, But just seeing that makes me feel better to think that there's gonna be some defense. Not defense, which is what we soften the Cowboys last year, you know, and what's interesting to me is this comes back to one of the things we forget to talk about a lot during the off season and its coordinator change. You know it is. You've got a bunch of guys that had been playing football their entire life, and I've said this a million times when it comes to my own life like I was, I consider myself for a long time to be one of the best fiddle players in all of country music. I was really proud of the work that I did. But I can't play bluegrass to save my life. I can play classical music. I can't play bluegrass. So if you put me in a band and you say, Hey, man, I need you to play a bunch of bluegrass. I'm not going to be very good and we forget that at some point you can be amazing as a football player, but you still have to have the people looking at the ingredients like chopped You open the basket and say, How am I going to cook with this? And obviously Nolan wasn't cooking with those ingredients the right way. Now they have. Dan Quinn is their defensive coordinator. If this is any indication, it's very early. But if this is any indication, guys seem to be flying around with a better understanding where they're going. That speaks to how important coaching is, and we don't necessarily give that enough conversation when we're talking about teams, and especially with that team with Mike McCarthy, because many people wonder if he's in a make or break mode this year Now it's easy to Say too sexy things. Of course he's in make or break mode. If they don't make the playoffs, and Jerry Jones has got to make a choice. It's got to make a decision. I've never been a big believer that you can throw that at somebody after one year because now he has what he believes is his personnel and to your point, Jason not so much when it comes to the players. But having the right guys he believes his offense coordinate Kill them or there's no reason I believe in him. But he knows the kind of town they have on defense to look that way. Last year, he allowed that mistake to stay in the building. But you know it's not going to stay in the building past that That is another aspect of coaching when something is not working. You can't be stubborn to say I'm going to make this work My way is going to work. Mike McCarthy realized that last year we can't bring this guy back for another year. No matter how long those two have been friends as National Football League coaches that whole time, and and that's such a you're you're absolutely right. That's also the sign of a more seasoned coach. Right? Understanding. Hey, I don't have as much. I don't have as much leeway here. I got to get this fixed, and I got to get it fixed right now. So I think that does speak to McCarthy being able to step up and say, Hey, I made a mistake. Now He's got to get it right this time and I get it right. I think You know, any time you're looking at it, saying play off her bus that lacks context. I think that this is a Cowboys team that needs to look really good offensively, and they need to look like they're taking big steps forward defensively like that's a realistic expectation. If I'm Jerry Jones, I understand everybody wants playoffs. But realistically, you never know how the entire conference is going to line up so far fewer Cowboys fan You're seeing a much more competent version of football. Yeah, exactly. Especially your 77. That game in the second quarter Cowboys are about the punt. From their own 12 year old line. He's Jason fits him on Twitter adjacent Fits. I'm Freddy. Commenting on Twitter Come on ESPN, part of Freddie Fitzsimmons on ESPN Radio, the ESPN app and serious XM Channel 88. I guess I'll try to hang out with us. We're at that time right now of the year where exciting times are on the verge. You know, it's funny, you mention that because as anyone can see that's watching on ESPN two Am head to toe today. I mean, it is really jacket, red shirt, Raiders mug. Everybody knows my phantom. I've never tried to hide it. This is I think the wildest week for so many NFL fans Because, like for me this is that last week of hope, Like a week from tonight, I'll be in Vegas Allegiant Stadium watching it all go down, right, like I'm gonna be there. And that is the moment that like everything usually crumbles, right? You finally see your team and you think Oh, my God. But for right now I have one week left of season of Hope and positivity. We talked about this. It's like the crazy ex right where it's always volatile. You have no idea like, Hey, she'll be home around. 9 30 10, 30 11 30 12 31 30. No call no text, But this is what we love. Though You love the volatility. I'm going into the season as a Giants fan saying Look, we're going to be healthy, like we're going to be healthy, and then I see your online. Then I start worrying about our line. It's not good. It's not good. Daniel Jones. I need to be healthy. Stay calm. Barkley. I need to be healthy, but they're not going to be healthy. With the old line. It's inevitable. See, I'm already talking myself in the funk. At the end of the day, our relationships with our favorite teams in mind, you know, football. Our relationship with our favorite teams is just like any relationship we've ever had. At the end of last season, when you broke up with your team, get a really good idea of who they actually were. Then you get a little bit away from him. And you're like, man. I really missed the way they did this. One thing that was the draft and then you're like, Oh, and I. I missed the good times. We have free agency. Then he hit training camp He like I really miss. Now you're suddenly all you remember is the roses and the beautiful nous of it And you realize, like you've forgotten how crazy she is, I feel like my my My relationship is pretty consistent right now, so I'm pretty happy with it. I like consistency. I like to know what I'm going to get into Giants. Do you hear that? I'd like to know we're going to win the NFC East. Let's do that. I'm not worried about the Washington football team or Dallas or Dak Prescott. A lot of things going on there with the Cowboys. Just give me consistency. James. We're going to break this down all morning. And by the way, I love that you could even like speculate on a division championship. I'm a Rangers fan, Which means like I'm the person that goes into the like the bar, realizing that I'm a solid six, and that's all like that. That's my ceiling. Solid six. Let's go. We'll break down a ton of NFL news over the course of the morning, obviously with some great guests, But as you're waking up this morning, we're going to get to some straight talk brought to you by straight talk Wireless, and that comes from this moment last night in Notre Dame, Florida state's game This would win it from 41 yards out re await the snap. It's good. Hold us down, the kick is up. Ball game. Notre Dame wins, He nailed it 41.

Chris running the turntables today. He does a great job super producer. Rob g as i said is in and the updates. Steve de sager right rob. Let's get to it. I'll let you explain what steve disagree. Just set in the update. What's going on with the nfl. As they sent out this memo basically flexing their muscles and there's no doubt about it they want players get vaccinated and they know they're not going to lay down a law where you absolutely must get vaccinated play in the nfl. But what they did today. It was a pretty. It was darn close to. Oh yeah it was the Non mandate mandate that they put on the nfl. Now you're all last season when there were a lot of covert outbreaks all across the league. They really bent over backwards to adjust. Schedules have teams playing twice in four. I believe that we had our first wednesday night game at one point last season like they did whatever they had to do to reschedule games and this season. They've decided if it comes down to a covert outbreak again. And it's late in the season and you say hey. Can we just sneak in a week. Nineteen can we. Can we just get this game in. No we cannot sneak there saying in a memo that went out. League-wide is that if a covert outbreak takes place it's particularly evolving unvaccinated players. That team a will lead to a forfeit even more so which makes us even bigger deal. Is that if a game gets forfeited. Then neither team gets paid that week. And see that's to me that's too much and of course you didn't go on but you you were going to go on to say the team has to pay for the loss of money from ramey and all that stuff right so they have to foot the bill for the stadium fees and everything. I think that is going too far. As far as not paying the players they still put in the work. all week. i get it. you're the league. You wanted him to play on sunday but they still should get their pay. I and but overall.

"Invading on ESPN Radio, ESPN and Sirius XM Channel. Yeah, I feel like there's probably not a city more puckered up together in the sports world today, then our state, I should say then Wisconsin. Where they're trying to figure out how to make sense of what's happening to the Nets. I'm all over the place to the box. You can tell that I just I'm done, sir. You know, I tried is your sphincter also puckered, Try around bunkered just trying to get through the beginning of a segment and it's just not going my way, so I'm just going to try it all over again. They're really nervous in Wisconsin right now, and we need help figuring it out. Spain defense on ESPN Radio, The ESPN M Sirius XM Channel 80 During the break. I did not learn to speak. Jason Fit Sarah, Spain. Presented by Progressive insurance. We're going to head straight over to the Goodyear hotline to somebody that we know knows how to speak to the person that when things are going wrong in Wisconsin, I feel like this show constantly says. The little you up text because we need guidance. So Jen latter joins us, Jen. As always, we come to you trying to figure out the pulse of Wisconsin. Let's start with the bucks because I didn't see it coming. I thought, you know what is going to be a good series. I thought they were going to win this series. I felt really good about Milwaukee been hyping him up. Now they're down to nothing, and they've been blown out in both games. So what is the overall temperature right now from Bucks fans? Well, listen, don't feel too bad about thinking that way headed into the series because all of the evidence in front of you would lead you to that conclusion, right? You can only make it a gas based on the information in front of you and the bucks have looked. Like a team that was reaching gaining momentum as the season went on, and looked, especially after that series against the Miami Heat, like that could be a juggernaut in this postseason, so don't feel bad about taking that approach. This is just an awful embarrassing showing by a team that should do better that has the talent to be better that knows better. How to handle themselves in a postseason situation. So we had some pals over for the game last night, and it's not going well as you guys saw when you were watching it. And so midway through the second quarter, I just started comically whistling. The theme to the Harlem Globetrotter and My Buddy finally looks over and goes, What are you doing? I said, Does anyone else feel like it's New Year's Eve right now? And the nests of the Globetrotters and the Bucks are the hapless generals like I have expected at one point, Kevin Durant to like, tuck it behind his neck and dunk it that way, like something crazy because it just seems so lopsided. I had never seen again. It was so lopsided. From a talent standpoint, the Bucks felt like they were dribbling the ball off their foot and struggling at the rim. And I know there's been a ton of, you know, breakdown of the film and analysis of what went wrong. But to me, it was a confidence thing like it looked like they had lost. They have forgotten how to play basketball. They had lost their confidence. Which brings me to another scene that I know you guys will appreciate did it or did it not seem like A scene from Space Jam where those little creatures stole the talent from Charles Barkley and from Patrick Ewing and from Mugsy bulbs, and they were just out there like not knowing what to do like I pictured Charles Barkley, like wandering around the lane, not knowing where to go. That's what these bucks look like last night, and we don't really have any answers other than They played right into the next hand. That's what the Nets wanted them to do. They wanted them to look hapless. They wanted them to deviate from their game plan and kind of fall into their traps, and that's what it looks like happened. Gen Ladders with the Syrian Spain and fits. Yeah, I mean, Thank God that James Harden was out. Otherwise, it would have been a blowout, right? Um, yeah, I do want to. I do want to ask you. Are you feeling it all optimistic that this was a early out? And they just said, Okay, this isn't this isn't our game, and they feel better going into the next one. Then had it been another fairly close loss. I mean, everything I'm hearing from inside the building. Is that these guys? You know, they don't get too high. They don't get too low. That's been their mantra. You know, Yannis was notoriously like high charge. You know what kind of where every loss and there weren't that many of them. You know for the previous season, especially during the regular season, but would wear them and they would be heavy on him. And so this year that was another evolution of him as a pro, was Kind of going with the flow and not getting too high and not getting too low, So they're really trying to implement that as they wait for Thursday night's game, So I guess I'm hoping that that's the mindset that they're taking. I'm hoping that they were able to flush this game. I really don't know what you would take from it. Um, maybe don't play zone against the Nets like I hadn't really I'm like you struggling for like what you would gain from watching that tape. So this feels like the age old, you know, sports cliche of just flush it. Don't even watch the film. Get back to what you do best, um, really surprised that they weren't attacking the rim more really surprised at how hesitate Yannis looks, and it feels guys like The great ones in the game. No, when you have to take over a game, and when you can differ to some of the talent around you, and I feel like Janice is still learning that right? He hasn't hit that like happy medium. That sweet spot of not man, you're one of the most talented guys on the floor. You've got to take over right now because the other guys aren't hitting their shots. The other thing that really stunned me was how much they were playing Hero ball. No, You're not going to make up a 20 point deficit. You know, I understand you want to exchange threes for twos, but you know, you've got to set up your offense. You've got to run your offense, and there were times where they would be in transition and just Jack up a three and you were like, Well that I get it. You're trying to click in the process, but it wasn't working for them and also get back to what has worked for them. And that, of course, is being ball movement being a dominant team inside and I'm hoping that they get back to that on Thursday. Spain and fits their Spain. Jason Fitch. Presented by Progressive insurance, We're talking to Jenna Ladder on the Goodyear hotline. So, Jen, let's let's turn the patient, you know if if everything feels bad there, at least you have the pack. Can't even say it. Okay, so now we have no a no show on a mandatory appearance for Aaron Rodgers. This is the first mandatory camp moment for the organization. Aaron Rodgers isn't there So they have the opportunity as an organization to decide to find him. Those finds that roughly $93,000. I believe if you're the organization are you extending the olive branch and saying, Hey, don't worry about it, or you finding him and saying, Hey, we got rules You need to be here. Million percent. You extend that olive branch like that should be a no brainer. At this point here. There are some people in this state who feel that when the president of the Packers Mark Murphy went on to the Packers website this past weekend and answered some fans questions. He took some unnecessary shots at Rogers. I didn't really see it that way. I thought he was kind of trying to use the platform to kind of get the Grasses side of things out, which is to say that the situation is dividing the fan base. But he certainly did give a unprompted endorsement of at least Brian. Good a code. So now you know, as a guy who many people probably never knew his name, but now know him as like the arch rival of his future Hall of Fame quarterback in Aaron Rodgers. And I think that that type of stuff can rub Rogers the wrong way. So anything you can do to try to show him any type of good faith gesture that you really do want him back that this isn't just posturing that this isn't just lip service, I think would go a long way to resolving this. You know, we had Jason will be on our show this morning. And he said, I don't think This is beyond repair and will be communicated with the quarterback pretty regularly, So I don't think that's coming from just a speculation standpoint..

The three dame has experience in these situations. Every player there's a highlight reel of him knocking down those clutch shots were great was talking about was Portland trailing by three against the Denver Nuggets, less than 15 seconds to play at first day me little tried to draw a foul and they called Austin Rose will have found a three point shot. He was nowhere near him. They were able to overturn that So they get the ball part that keeps the basketball Damon Luke hits a three to tie the game ever since Then, they've been outscored in overtime by Denver. 13 8. So it's 1 34 to 1 29 corny with less than 30 seconds of play, but every damn time if Dame has the ball and you're up three with less than 15 seconds, I'm saying, Bro, come get this hug. He is not shooting that basketball to tie the game. You can't let him shoot that three. There's no way that's automatic. There's it's called Game time for a reason. Yep. Well, in that case with Denver, Michael Malone I like was a coach. That was silly time. You know that guy can do. He has sent two teams packing in the playoffs by making a three point shot. Asked Russell Westbrook about the buy he gave to him when he played for Oklahoma City, and then you allow that to happen, and by the way, he's just hit another three. He's got 47 points 22.9 seconds of play in overtime in Game five. Serious tied it too. Between Denver in Portland. Denver, leaves 1 34 to 1 32, but Daniel Lewin 47 points, including the game, the three point shot that sent this game into overtime. We give you the Lakers of date, but why bother? Phoenix is up 78 to 45. I'm not making that up either Know Anthony Davis out of this game, they growing strange Phoenix leading it 78 to 45 Damian Lillard has outscored the Lakers with 47 points in overtime by himself. He has 47 by himself and Cordy the legs as a team with 6 47 point of third. They have 45 collectively. I was just wondering what happened to Chris Paul that he dislocated shoulder. Did he, like Did you get a stinger? Like what is that Because I'm still trying to figure it out on my TV. But it's hard out here for a flopper. I mean, yeah, I kind of looked like some Paul Pierce action. Bring out the wheelchair. But that's ah, that looked serious at first, and I don't know how serious that's going to be. But, man, this Phoenix team going back to l A for Game six. No, maybe No. Anthony Davis. We don't know his availability. Good luck to you on that play with Chris Paul. He was trying to box out West Matthews and West Matthew's game a little bit of a shove and Chris Paul went down as if he was taken out during honey season. And then he pops right back up like nothing happened. Must be nice. Let's be dice anyway. Both of those games coming down to the conclusion Deborah 1 34 to 1 32 of a Portland 22.9. Seconds playing overtime. Phoenix leading the Lakers 78 45 6 47 to play in the third quarter each and every night you do something great in sports. You get plenty of love. "ESPN APP and Sirius XM Channel 80. J. Reynolds from SportsCenter all night. Joining us now, too. Head back to the topic We were talking about earlier, so I made a purchase. I would not call it an impulse purchase. It was more a desperation purchase. This afternoon when I was twins game is cold and Were raincoat because it was raining and gross and I had a T shirt on underneath it. So I was like, Well, this is a poor choice because I'm not Don't go toe event is a sports fan. I usually have my whole kit and caboodle on my backpack and other things with me, but I didn't have a sweatshirt. I was cold, so I spent $89 on this very nice twins, Hoody. And we put the question out there on ESPN radio. What's your worst impulse sports by or desperation sports by that? You had j I'm very curious to hear about yours. And I don't begrudge you for what you did today. It was a necessity. It wasn't really like you mentioned it wasn't 80 $89 j. You know what What do you get Millions for hosting SportsCenter all night? What do you make it over there for the first quarter of the year? Yeah. But I think Courtney brought it up last hour. The cost benefit analysis and I'll be honest, I have. I have not really purchased a lot of sporting apparel for myself. However, being a parent There's the cost benefit analysis and I will spend money to keep the peace if the kids are with me at an event and yes, I bought something for you know the monster jam truck drivers to sign or, you know, a basketball the Globetrotters event or one of those $24 ice cream in the in the baseball helmets? Yes, exactly. But I drew the line. We went to the sweet 16 the women's regionals. We're in the Northeast. So my daughter was a big Yukon Huskies fans. So we were in Albany, New York, watching the regionals Sweet 16. They win their game as you contents to do yes, and Immediately. We walked out on the concourse, and there are shirts there that say, Elite eight, and she wanted one. And I said, No, It's good for a day. They they play Thursday, Saturday, you're gonna be able to wear it Friday and Saturday. You're gonna want the final four shirt and this one's gonna be good for a day. And so I and I put my foot down and I said, You know what I was proud of myself for not buying our good for you. Not only that, but if that had been their first elite eight trip J in like school history, Okay, I could see you get me leaving. You're at that point, right? Right. But you can't. When was the last time you can didn't go to the elite eight. They should make a T shirt when they don't make it to the elite eight because that's more likely than him them making it And there's there's almost something better sounding about sweet 16 their sweet 16. There's final four year the elite Eight, I think was one of those made up things right in the middle joint, for at least like four days. If you make it to the sweet 16. It's a wonder you get trying to get somewhere out of that thing. No, It's also like you know, like the division champion shirts like Is there someone do you think that bought when the Braves didn't the Braves win like 13 Division championships in a row in the nineties, like did someone by every single one of it at a certain point winning the division championship? Just you know, it's not the shirt you really want. At some point. I think Braves fans did start buying those shirts because Because they didn't come away with very many rings. Oh, man, this is this is the topic that keeps on giving. I'm sure that it'll giving you quite a bit of material to talk about tonight on SportsCenter all night, which comes up directly after Game night J recording, we will mention because there were there were two college softball games today, and the celebration included hats that said, Oklahoma City bound. Now there's There's something a collector's item. I couldn't I couldn't fault anybody for buying those. But There are some bad sports purchases out there sports apparel purchases. We want to know yours. We're gonna get into this throughout the rest of the show. "Serious XM Channel 80 Way thought we let Some of our sports people. Let you know how they felt about what they saw today. I know Courtney using a lot of stuff on Twitter as well. Yeah, absolutely. I mean, there's starting to see stuff just from, you know, NBA games like I mentioned with the Bucks and the Pistons before tip off. They tipped off the game, and they all took a knee and the sons and the Raptors linking arms at center court, and I mean you're seeing kind of there's a been seen like a Collection of tweets from NFL players around the you know, around the league right now, they've been aggregated kind of into one post and It's kind of echoing why the social justice movements that we saw this summer and I know you know, some people might say they're not related. And this is a you know this talking about the presidential You know an election. This is a fight over an election right now and what we saw this summer. Especially with NFL team, the team that I cover Minnesota Vikings. The murder of George Floyd was right in their backyard and that sparked their team Social Justice movement. They were the first ones to really get active with it. It was the first time that at least in my years Of covering the NFL first time since Colin Kaepernick When I covered the San Francisco 40 Niners in 2016, that we that I got to up close, See athletes put action their actions in tow words on they were the first team to do it. They were the center of the movement, and it spread around the NFL. And I think that Seeing athletes today, you know, use their voices. And I mean, we even saw it last night, too, after the ruling came down in the Jacob Blake case, I mean, that was talked about all over first Take this morning. Bills 22-19 OT loss to Texans
"Or what incredible exciting game day it has been as the Houston Texans defeat the Buffalo Bills twenty two to nineteen in overtime down there in Houston and that's where we had the catch bill o'brien live at the podium in used you know give give a lot of credit to the bills they they they are tough football team they did a lot of really good things today they they know was pretty well and you know I think our guys took the approach all week to just play the next play do the you know try to do the next right thing you know maybe that previous play maybe we made a mistake but we're gonna try to do the right thing on the next plane I think they tried to do that all all game we kept our boys on the sideline you guys have been hanging in there and defense came up big in our kicking game was decent and you know to show what a game of the control can you say about your squad you've talked about the character of this team all season is they've dealt with some ups and downs but they had the biggest down or you could have for about three quarters today and show what they're made of yeah I mean I don't know you know how many there's not a lot of words to describe what woods what it's like in that locker room I mean these guys are they're very resilient you got a good group of guys that really care about each other they care about try to do the right thing they want to do the right thing you know when they when they mess up they tell you you know you want hot fumbled the ball he came right over so that's my fault I make it up to you and you know some tough tough sledding in there for a long time and I think it shows you the heart of this team now we've got a lot to clean up looking for but I I can I can say that I think you guys would agree that you know there's a lot of character not lock or a coach when it was a thirteen nothing and it JJ comes up with a big sack in the red zone helps the bills only kick a field goal on that spot did you get a sense of momentum changes from that point on the crowd got back into and you guys scored sixteen on answer from that was a big those big playing a game because you said at the crowd really helped us in the fourth quarter there and the crowd was into a JJ got the crowd going then the you know the the Houston fans they're great because they're going to let you know when you're not playing well and they're going to let you know when your plan while we were playing well there they were they were a big factor in the game and I thought that that was a big part of the game are our home fans how did you think JJ played yeah over on your phone you know look I think he made some really game changing plays I mean he he just changed the game by his presence in there his talent you know he draws a lot of it you know tension relative to you know blocking schemes and things like that but he's a great player I'm sure he'll he'll critique himself better than anybody could you know relative to his film in what he watches but it was great having back in there we'll talk about the Johns escape and the thirty four yard pass to an unlikely hero in Taiwan Jones yeah the show Watson look you know we've we've got a you know there were a lot of get buffalo credit you know we we can protect very well he he got himself out of some major jams he made some huge plays a plate of Taiwan at the end obviously was unbelievable he made a lot of plays throughout the whole game is got a huge heart he's he's been winning his whole life and he knows how to win he knows how to win and there's not too much more you can say about good stuff from bill o'brien there at the podium live in Houston after the Texans beat the bills twenty two to nineteen this is game day ESPN radio ESPN app Sirius XM channel eighty on Greg scales alongside Ben

MLB playoffs: What a Game 4 rainout means for the Yankees and Astros in the ALCS
"Six so your mother nature won the battle when it comes to Major League Baseball American League Championship Series no game four on Wednesday that was expected game four is going to happen on Thursday night eight o'clock eastern time on ESPN radio and ESPN at both managers had to speak on in terms of the benefits of a post poll game first AJ hands of the Houston Astros gives everybody if they often have an opportunity collectors cells before gas for changes are pitching a little bit how beneficial it is probably easier to answer after I see how guys perform and how the pitching plays out but I guess it's kind of a wait and see but I does solidify who we starting game for game five without having to go to a bowl game and Yankees manager when it comes to a player coming back that'll be another conversation even though he hasn't been able to go yet I gave you and then the potential option off the bench in the heating situation if we like something so I don't look at it as were entirely twenty four man right now I do believe we have as bad off the bench right now and whether a situation for that arises we'll see but will continue to evaluate the best smartly as we can move forward to do you some Giancarlo Stanton who believes will be another battle of the bands I firmly believe this whoever wins game four will win the ALCS I think the Yankees the win in six I'm not going to back up that prediction I think the day off could help both teams if you the ask George W. pitching if you the New York Yankees get a chance to maybe get a little mo Jo back at the having a bad slow down losing game two and game three either way took the toll the after the better team but I believe were wins game four win ALCS I think with that team is going to be the Yankees may because I picking the winner six I'm not going to back down from the production right after those in seven sticking with the Astros in seven I don't care who wins game four the is starting pitching to me is the key to any post season team surviving in advancing as a great Jim Bob on a one seven kind came the NC double a tournament surviving advancing in M. L. B. post season all about starting pitching to me and the the best rotation the best horses on the hill goes easily with the Astros and wears game seven in Houston if we get there that's it that's the kicker right there for me is if the if the giving gets to Houston and then for the Yankees in the E. if it goes seven that's their long relievers and when they become leverage real relievers when I never heard of that before tonight before you mention that four different stories I read today will leverage really quick what noted is is is is like mold management became part of it and yeah looks at this and everything in long re yeah leave our yeah or just read the verse they haven't had to use on and three more than three figurines all season now you can ask them to go for for the first time ever with everything on the line and you put that pressure on you also we about stress innings right in stressful pitches in well this is a little bit more stressful than they've had to go through the entire regular season so to me it's all about the starting lineup Yankee fans they don't want to hear it but great he has not been good the post season but I got some guy even if you win game forty Riverland there in five then another duty may have to face call Gerrit Cole who is like the modern day version of sandy Koufax right now you've been unavailable since may so he scuffled by his standards with five walks in seven innings that's coupling is scuffling but the Yankees lineup will make you sick awful I don't believe the Yankees are intimidated or afraid of these guys now I agree with that as well then we don't have the Yankees getting in touch with their inner symbols cardinals and the national back like Houston Astros because the national thoroughly intimidated the Saint Louis cardinals that team was beat up on the feet of the metagame for even got started they had no chance of winning that game even they tried to make a comeback at the being now seven nothing I think the Yankees fully believe having a day off would be the perfect a mixer for them to get everything right because there's not a pitching staff that they don't believe that they can't handle no matter how terrific those guys are lander Reekie as well as call he's if it's in the Freddie Coleman Freddie if it's Simmons on ESPN radio Sirius XM channel eighty of the yanks are going to knock a who was sensational the start this series in game four but he doesn't go a third term through the line up because the analytic geeks say well when he goes through a third time in the line up they they're hitting three oh nine if the guys in a groove right you mean the mother figure out what he's tipping or what he's missing in that third time through you have as many brains watching all these stats and in every game figure it out but in this situation may have to knock a is it in a groove you leave him in there but they don't want to do it they haven't done it and now Freddie it's one that drives me nuts you know right you got this guy who's who's dealing through sex you probably because the numbers say so that that drives me insane the Astros don't do that even though there is number geeky is anybody maybe even more so than anyone out there right now to get involved with trying to steal secrets on the cardinals when they used to work for them all about **** now that'll to do holes what two hundred articles on again but AJ Hinch is one of those guys that's also eyeball if you're rolling man you're sticking but I'm a sticking with you so that's why I like it the Astros you no matter who wins who wins tonight I think that that that that night all this postponement favors distros because now you've got green key Enver lander both on regular rest and then you still have even have great he has gone up the skirt a couple times obviously the post season you've got overlander and coal Berlin under in coal you got to win two games I would put my money on those two over whatever the yanks so out in a leverage relievers and then you want to throw at the astronaut I look at it this way by the way we had read Ryan the present Houston Astros he joins earlier on Freddie if it's Simmons he knows exactly how good these Yankees team is and he knows this service is far from over you know I love it it's it's a great great route your current kicks back to fifteen we played in the wild card it obviously seventeen we win the World Series but what what a great seven game series the home team won one all the games and this year we we took four out of seven from home and you know we won three at home they won the first it was the final game of the season that that you know we ended up winning and here in New York and so all of these games get their nip and tuck it's a dog fight and just because we're out to one side does not mean that that this thing is over if it were a cruise control because that team their Yankee Stadium they're stacked we've got arms they've got power they've got great players all over the place cash did a great job with that club together and looking around and got a couple of stood on the bump and that we got you got you can swing it pretty good it was amazing that when the Yankees won game one everybody's like while they beat the daylights out of the Astros which they did in game one no doubt winning seven nothing the Astros win game two in game three the Astros are in control of this series of bacon all on a second control be three one to me yeah two one they're not in control of the service as I was yeah that me it if you're gonna use that tack with the out of being in control is saying that the Astros are in control my god Ian watching the MOB network watch ESPN and others forgot the baseball people on TV and was on radio all many **** how control is there's a two one you'd be amazed how many times I heard that today they got the point us okay I'm I'm not gonna be part of definition sandy with this kind of stupidity going out there get that one game in the series means you're in control no it doesn't I think this thing's going seven it's going to be epic then the only reason I like the strokes is because of what we read Ryan just mentioned there those two horses they've got on the hill Enver lander and cold at the Yankee still have to face what is your major league baseball you need this to go seven the NASA took care of business if you got a potential rivalry like this with the met in the playoffs two thousand fifteen two thousand seventeen and now two thousand nineteen you get a seven game series and now you have a cross country robbery so to speak was not these two teams in the same division or two teams on the same coast you got the big Ole boys in New York City and a good Ole country boys down Houston colliding in the series if you have that kind of heat that you can generate you could potentially have your latter day forty Niners cowboys or paid many versus Tom Brady because you got a big city I got a bigger city without a baseball city when it comes to Houston if his goal seven it could do Major League Baseball a world of good that they could have never imagined and never even had to beg borrow or steal if the Yankees Astros give us and Major League Baseball with the looking
Knicks Snap 18-Game Home Losing Streak with Win over Spurs to Avoid NBA History
"Guys. We have a guest here obviously on the shell Pennzoil performance line. And it is oh guy. Our guy Bagley get your bag. Ian, how're you doing? In. My three favorites out there tonight. I'm very excited. Yes. ESPN New York. Knicks reporter also does the nets and basically holds the upper east coast down in did you know that the Knicks made the Oscars they pretty much won an Oscar did you notice this? Yeah. We got wind of it on social media after the game. And we asked a couple of players about if they hadn't seen a year for too excited to just see the clip Samuel Jackson, and Spike Lee. Not every not every year that the Knicks could have mentioned on the Oscars deserves rightfully so. Because the Knicks would at home first time that happened since December one twenty eight and I'm talking about last year folks, twenty we're everywhere. Number one two thousand eighteen they won. They beat the Spurs one thirty one eighteen and I even saw the icing on the cake who threw off the backboard pass for the dunk like it was just wild. How important Dennis Smith? Well, of course, it makes sense. Usually he's on the other end of the dunk rape. How does this when in Madison Square Garden me? What was the field? Was it like a sign of relief for coach physio it felt like a weight off everybody's shoulders, you know, coach FitzGerald would tell us that they don't think about it. They don't talk about it. But then the players afterward joking around the locker room, it just felt like a much later lock home. Now, they knew about they were one loss away from Batasuna longest losing streak ninety history set in ninety three ninety four by the Dallas Mavericks. They know that they have the longest losing streak in franchise history. This so they're aware of those numbers. They don't want to be a part of that history. Tonight, especially the team like the city until you're Spurs. It's not easy, especially for this. And we've got a twenty two games left would throw out the record. We know where we know where we are twelve hundred forty eight what should be the goals over the next six weeks here with this team wanna see consistency. I think so Kevin Knox. You'd wanna see what Frank ntilikina as you're still trying to answer that question. You know, one one and a half almost two seasons. Enter France career, he should get healthy at some points to from this point. I think it was the next to kiss him significant minutes trying to answer that question to try to see if he can be elite guard. What did he do off the ball and where he used offensively so between seven and Saint not some consistency. From those guys. I think the next like what they've seen recently from young player in literal Robinson who who's really played well, especially since the Andre Jordan has come over from Dallas Jordan has done a good job mentoring. Mitch robinson. So I think it's it's the young players on your team and being able to project them forward who is a keeper who can you pencil in for next year? And who do you think won't be around piggybacking off your point there? What's the the Knicks recruiting pitch this summer? You know, who they Bill that around is it around, you know, playing with somebody like Dennis Smith. Knox. Or like what how does that play out? Jordan because you have the two max slots. Pitches almost hey, come come here and tell us who you wanna play with right twenty nine hundred she class, we get that you wanna play with and Kevin Durant. Also simple. You want to change the narrative around. Golden State to win those titles. You come here. And you have success in New York you wanna title in New York. I mean, that's a forever thing doesn't staffers outside of Madison Square Garden and no one. We'll talk about how joined that Golden State to win your earlier title simple message. Anybody else? It's tell us who you wanna play with. We'll try to bring that guy in. That's the voice of in Begley are ESPN next report. And that's reporter upper east coast. Reporter you're listening to insiders. I'm Bobby marks Jordan Schultz ESPN radio ESPN app and Sirius XM channel eighty now. Talking about obviously, the potential free agency this summer. Those are all big question marks largely because of the trade deadline, sending Kristaps Porzingis opening up two slots, but tell me how worried were Knicks fans watching Duke UNC this past week in. Knick fans are still watching the Knicks games. I give them a lot of credit assume most expensive watching every night. So. A big sigh of relief. I think I'm this fanbase when you found out that that sign injury wasn't that serious that he's going to be okay. Because this record twelve weeks at this point. And they're just looking ahead towards the trash and like every other bottom. Feeding MBA franchise. They're looking at nine what you've seen how he can impact their roster. How much he can change the fourteen organization. So, you know, certainly everybody around here was relieved when they found that he was okay. The interesting thing so Zion and wherever the Knicks end up in the draft in the top three. They hope is could that pick then help them creed. With the woman's Francis us, I think that's something. That's that's certainly on the fan bases minded. I'm sure the front office is thinking about different permutations packages. They could put together including that twenty nine team first round pick to try to entice New Orleans Detroit. And before we let you go. What do you think Zion playing in Madison Square Garden would look like do you think it would be just the new coming up LeBron or even even bigger based on his highlights in his dunking ability. I remember the Jeremy Lin Ron and how much energy was in the building night in and night out. How much of the event every home game was your masters. I think it would be just like that. But even more so sign Williamson was here. Because you know, he getting the franchise all three player people talk about him as a prospect the same way, they talks about Davis to bring that kind of talent into this building would give this reasons for optimism something they haven't had in a long time around here in. I look forward to our shared slice of pizza. I know we've been pushing off that day for a long time. He's been the best pizza apparently in New York. But before we let you go last, but not least we have awards given out for the MBA insiders and honors of aren't Oscars. Have you been watching the Oscars tonight? Because I've been at the. Is your feed though, you saw here. A little bit here and there, okay? This has been a Mahershala Ali love fest on the show, but we actually have awards given out today on MBA insiders throughout the course of the night. I want to get your vote for the last category that we're trying to push best leading man. Are you ready for this vote pleased? The nominees are Janta Takubo of the box. PG thirteen Paul George of the thunder James harden of the rockets and Kawhi Leonard of the raptors who is your best leading man right now. I would go right now with John giving Milwaukee's records they're standing in the conference in the role that he plays on that team. I think he's most deserving of that honor at the moment all of Georgia's a close second. Given what he's done for the thunder

"The alabama starting quarterback position that seems to be all anybody wants to talk about it started a couple of weeks ago when she were tongue of a hurt his throwing hand and i guess it was just like one of those things he was in practice and he was throwing passed and he hit on the helmet and then he was out for the rest of the spring and now there's been this big debate on jalen hurts to talk about oh who's going to be the starting quarterback for people that don't know the story jalen hurts has been a starting quarterback the last two years at alabama and then to replace him in the national title game at half time and got the offense jumpstarted they ended up putting the national title in beating georgia hence the master quarterback controversy right now typically you wouldn't have that with the due to your starting quarterback got the team at the national title two years in a row by this is allah bama it's a freak show and it's a freak show for a good reason because they're just loaded and sick it every single position i call them the the the other nfl team right because to me they operate like nfl franchise but it's really been about the quarterback spot who's gonna be their quarterback jalen hurts or two and whoever wins the job is the other guy gonna leave and if he dies lead he's going to be eligible right away to it wouldn't be able to jalen might be able to to get his coursework finished on time but that's that's the big thing right now is just gonna play quarterback at alabama well you know what show pony has been a pleasure let's do this again because i've been a fan of your show for a while so i love to be able to have you back on talking some socks baseball endeavors some college football let's do it man i'm a fan of yours too so i was really excited without thank you so much man thanks for coming on the show thank you it is chris childers he's a show pony he's part of sirius xm channel eighty four that's espn you where they talk college sports and he's part of full ride that show with new.

Izzy and Spain
Masters hype unlike any other, mainly because of Tiger Woods
"Welcome to spain and fits the podcast i don't know if you guys have heard but tiger woods is back at the master's that's all i can confirm he is there and he is playing i cannot confirm that he is back overall the pending on your definition of back you're wondering based on the amount of coverage that he got if he's back then the answer that is one hundred percent absolutely yes because this is basically the tiger woods show featuring the masters and not too shabby fits it spain in bits on espn radio the spn app and sirius xm channel eighty sarah spain and jason fitz with you the first round of play at the master's and tiger woods finished sort of up and down round he finished at one over so he's five shots off the current lead so not too bad but there's a lot of names between that five shots off and the leaders and to me it's this is going this first day is going to be over analyzed just like we do with every other tiger woods thing well of course because it's not good enough to tiger plays he also gives us something to talk about tiger which i thought he did a couple of times he tried to kill some people which was pretty interesting look plane that okay fine sys wayward shots that may or may not a crowd and for one of those particularly i looked at it and thought man i'm glad i'm not there because i just i'd be paying just not enough attention that that slight line between you saw the people scattered at one point and i realized that i would be the guy that turned around word everybody go right before the ball hit me in the head.
