"And then I think a know the offense is the offense, you know, you're missing Stephon Diggs who is limited up in Buffalo right now, but you have Adam thielen who's a very established Great Wide Receiver one and then you have just in Jefferson who's Jose these flashes of being really really good, but it's it's in his rookie season, you know, it's really difficult to break out as a rookie wide receiver. So I think that you know, right now it's fascinating Dalvin cook is still a very good place here Kirk Cousins is Kirk Cousins, I think like right now they're in this weird transitional kind of phase where they have some new blood in there and at the same time like they're just trying to figure out and they the big game Thing is they don't have a defense to rely upon like they have in previous years cuz sometimes they can score 16 points and win the football game. I feel like now that they don't have a defense it basically forces almost every game to be into a shootout which is a disadvantage for that offense cuz that's not how they operate. They operate really well with given Dalvin cook the ball and you know and Kirk Cousins doing things when he has to do things. But as even last year we showed you know against the Packers on Sunday Night Football if you make the game go into Kirk Cousins hands, that's not you don't have a great chance of winning the game newest. I think I have two thoughts of a Minnesota. Number one. They really wish they had Xavier Rhodes. He went to the cold. I watched them play against Nick Foles on on Sunday played really? Well. I mean, I really he knocked a bunch of passes away. Go ahead. He's fascinated with because like Packers fans used to say all the time like roads are open because like literally would destroy them. We would destroy Xavier Rhodes like very so much tape of Aaron Rodgers destroying Xavier Rudd. And I just think it's hysterical that like he goes to the Colts as having like this Resurgence and it's kind of like Eric Ebron from a few years ago, like leaving the Lions not doing anything and then making the Pro Bowl the first time he's with the Colts the Colts just take like banished NFC North players and rejuvenate their careers for like a year or two. You're not wrong. I mean, they they're happy to have them there. He's playing really well. I I also it's disappointing with Minnesota because you would believe that going into this point in Kirk Cousins contract. They'd be a Super Bowl Contender and they're not that feels like a mass of L to me. Zach you just repeat that. I'm almost there. I'm like, I'm right behind how much how much was 84 million dollars and then they gave him how much was the extension like sixty?.

"Twenty it shows comes you live from for world trade here in New York City I'm sitting right next to a man who's a Green Bay Packer owner Todd Schmidt in the back cabin Foxy in zero today's been an action packed Monday right before we went on the air just an hour and six minutes ago it was announced that Mike McCarthy is the new head coach of the Dallas Cowboys he spent the night at Jerry Jones house on Saturday on Sunday during the eagles game it was announced a Jason Garrett is officially out Mike McCarthy officially end let's assume callin more and everybody else is out Mike McCarthy was what the Green Bay Packers for thirteen years although it ended on a rough note because sometimes a relationship that is thirteen years can do that Mike McCarthy's been there done that he's coach Joe Montana he's coach Brett farb he's coach Aaron Rodgers now he gets a chance to coach dak Prescott in Dallas and I think a sense of leadership in a sense of a veteran guy is coming down there a man who stayed prepared to be a head coach all year while he was fired here with his house becoming a pseudo football facility breaking on film every day as if he was still in the position I think Mike McCarthy's been do well for the cowboys congrats to the Dallas Cowboys yeah I absolutely agree nailed it on the head and I think the fact that things did and so poorly in Green Bay puts an even bigger chip on his shoulder that he probably already had yeah I look for them to be very relevant for the next you know five to ten years he's a Pittsburgh got yep so it's hard knows he's tough I mean I'm excited to see how he and Jerry get along but I think the Dallas Cowboys got better this morning as of nine fifty five eastern standard time joining us now to talk about not only that but all things that happen in an incredible wild card weekend we had over times we had big plays we had a month to get off the back of Kirk cousins and we potentially saw dynasty fall to break it all down a man is Super Bowl champ all pro honors for nor incredible friend of a show ladies and gentlemen marks layer how are you buddy stank life is good let's get to the news that just broke about an hour and eight minutes ago Mike McCarthy new head coach of the Dallas Cowboys are you excited about that did they get the right guy I think they did yeah I know I'm excited about I mean might record he's a great football coach like I'm a mother first off crosses the would be spent the night at Jerry Saltz why are you so that you're a public did he walk away from that in the morning or late morning after breakfast the walk the shape you have like video like it he sure did under planted a pair of these walking down the road well I got a good they just didn't talk I don't know what we're down there but good for Jerry Jones it was that here's the deal I hated the process yeah okay the whole I hear the whole process well you you know you're leaving from your coach you know you're gonna move all spoil your your damn coach before you get into bed with the next group of coaches that you bring it yeah but I just think that this function there and this is the cowboys is that this is the commentary on Mike record it is a commentary on the cowboys yeah here's my thought process and I've got a lot of self help with and they're like well you does it matter Jason Garrett so contract was going to be up in jail report jeep any there's no right way to do something wrong it is wrong rather dalliance with other coaches well you still have a guard under contract even if this contract is going to expire in two weeks so that's just the wrong way to do it not you I will give you this about you like if your doll takes a dump in the living room do you do you correct your dog and they do you clear up or you just want to sit there for a couple weeks what do you do you clean your wrap up and look across the street from there is the Dallas Cowboys regards to their coaches they will never have any success because of the dysfunction of the organization when you're older circumvents the authority of your head coach at all we have to see how this plays out your coach consistently Matthew late at the notes off of your head coach is never anything anyhow I don't know if he's gonna be able to deal with McCarthy's aliens are the guys seem to be a bit hard nose but apparently it had been only did I don't know who leaked this that every time Jerry want to telling me was relieved of his duties J. secure with baguette almost cry and say no no I would like to re try to earn this position in Jerry I guess cares for JZ there was a all right we'll meet tomorrow then and they just kinda lingered until he has another coach sleeping at his house and all the sudden Jason Garrett just can't take it anymore at some point it is that through like you chasing care broke down in tears every time the jury what try to our he's not the right guy for the job right well we all know the third week area I I don't know I do think I think that organization and this goes back with Jerry was the get the shiny Jimmy Johnson was the head coach like I think this goes all the way back to that and if you continually if you continually emasculate your head coach you know you would got this thing going on in Washington right with that Daniel Snyder I mean we would that's your owner and you're basically going to have it back their case to the owners office with the players you don't complain about the guy who's coaching you will never win yes well I don't know that happened but I think Ron Rivera Mike McCarthy to very accomplished head coaches I think they'll be able to stand up to their owners but we said that about Parcells and assume he was able to let's move on let's talk about some actual football wild card weekend was a thing of beauty that biking saints game was awesome that Vikings defense looked incredible they looked like they looked in the first half of the season if they can remain hot they might be the new favorite in the NFC to be completely honest with you especially now with Kurt doesn't have the monkey off his back what did you take from that game and what's over time obviously Adam Thielen makes a big play drew Brees almost look amateur and I think it's because of the defense played what did you take away from the Viking saints game how do you feel about the Vikings move forward I I'm a I'm a fan of the Vikings I think defensively you nailed it they they were great and you go back to that I think was a Monday night game against the Packers were the Packers beat them at all but simply Kirk cousins and that off and didn't do anything their defense is really good that day I mean they tied up Aaron Rodgers in that game and you look at them they have the ability that very few deep at the satellite in the Seattle has this as well they have the ability to dictate to you meeting when you get into three wide formation you get in the spread formations they don't have to get out of their base taking a run in with three they come Runnin with three linebackers **** say Hey we're gonna match you because you've got coverage skills American greats format for will then that we got the coverage skills out there the linebacker position that we don't have to you did the nickel situation so we can we can cover you from that but what happens to a lot of teams that have to get in the nickel situation point one one to our backers and what is happening is teams warrant down your throats because you're not big enough anymore so they're they're unique that way the way the rate that that they rush the passer the way they could dictate to an office that way that really makes them a tough matchup for people and then the Kirk cousins thing was was incredible the way they ran the football you know the way they the way that Kirk cousins made plays in in like crunch time situation something that you know was always poor of you know part of that recipe but it was interesting because I did their week seventeen game at any play anybody else want talking to Mike Zimmer who's their head coach obviously not that bike I mean this that I'm shocked that you're not gonna play your office is bad is the world we sixty to get the Packers and he goes trust me I want a partial I mean I'm seeing a rat I wanna I wanna make all those on the beaches go out there and play the entirety of the gate but the promise that he goes what I had to come to grips with and I think this is brilliant right because I had to come to grips with the fact that I looked at their their previous ten in games in a previous tag games they went eight two and I go or we are he said are we the team they went to in their last ten games or with the team that didn't show up they got their **** with by green back huh it was also greatly ultimately I decided we were the team that we ate into and that's why I didn't play much starting off at them high altitude to myself I go this is either going to be the greatest decision ever if you go to New Orleans and when or it's going to be the worst decision the history if you go to the world and your team to the playoffs locally and obviously they played exceptionally well a really happy for the Vikings but really happy for her because because yeah he said listen that garbage for ever about how he can't play during the big games well it's kind of warm air in primetime Turk was born in Dallas and then obviously that Packer game look bad simmer putting his Big Boy pants on though and looking at from a macro and saying they were eight and two we had one bad game he's a massive massive coaching decision good for him doing that you get Dalvin cook back that changes everything defenses now have to be worried about the run game at all times that opens things up for Rudolph feeling and stuff on day two acted why old on the sideline being up in a game in a playoff game where your stats so matter I don't love that Xavier Rudd still that let's talk about how rude off in the end zone there the final play of the game lot of people are upset obviously saints fans are upset because a role was instituted because of what happened at the same just a year ago with revealing a pass interference Alberta river on they said they took a look at it but they didn't even pause to review it at all there seem to be some hands ousting I'm not sure they could have overturned the call on the field whatever it was whether was pastor fears or not pass interference in this particular case but do you think they should've optically just took in taking a little bit of a second look at that so the same gender backyard Italy's they reviewed it a little bit as opposed to as quickly as it happened you know I use like I'm like it was verified there was a ground ball to be be before the Porsche all so there's you know hand fighting going on there here's what I thought I thought it was the ultimate corn because Sean Payton's on the competition committee Sean Payton winding and basically got that rule railroaded through in the first place because of what happened during the year before guests the branch right now there was plenty of opportunity you through all first down where you could you got the call given the rams no time to come back in that game so you miss manners Walter miss measure play calling you got that right that that rule ram through which the NFL clearly didn't want to run through they clearly I mean they haven't overturned anything all season long No Way tension they have no intention of this role sticking this was a this was it one of those rules they put it to see exactly how it goes and they could take all this come across the border guards they had no intention of this rule ever actually sticking and becoming a permanent rule so you know I thought it was kind of gourmet like you like exactly what happened to you the real world this roll through that nobody wanted you all to be in in place it anyhow is is going to be the role that officially gets dumped because there was enough evidence there for in their mind any I just thought it was kind of karma I think you got the rule Graham thrown it came back but yeah I think this answer well we got to rule railroaded through for this particular situation but it is kind of karma coming back three years straight the drew Brees and the saints Luzon walk off touchdowns are scoring boys that's tough let's move forward to the other massive story from wild card weekend Mike for able the Tennessee Titans in that incredible run game in that great defense and good special teams one individual let stadium Foxboro with a winter storm warning wild card weekend and potentially toppled a dynasty how.

"Idea would focused. I really envy that of people that that have a lot of knowledge. I'm glad I wish I did and sigh up probably will to to more learning in that in that realm you know about the different woods in come from from what I do. May I just kind of sit there with the instrument and just try and get more of a connection without sounds close my eyes and then if it's it sounds amazing and it makes me feel good than I reckon. That's a good that's kind of yeah. That's how I go about it. What do you think of this. what what is being termed but you may not know is the third wave of Ukulele you know the first one being the teens and twenties and then with the advent of Radio and television the fifties in sixties was the second wave and now because of the Internet primarily in the third wave of you. what do you think of the popularity of it now. Oh man it's devising It's you know every music store you go into a has a really extensive collection of and didn't doesn't seem that long ago there was nothing like maybe two or three yeah. I moved to from South Africa actually to Sydney about twenty years ago. There was no the shopping Sydney that sold wow that's now is just it's incredible. It's great. I think it is a versatile tall instrument. I guess naturally you know there's always that Khan of we'd doc feeling of of like You know. There's just too many stay popular now like that you know that little tiny England to sort of compare all will yeah. I'll be implying longer than you but I think ultimately it's it's a beautiful instrument that that should be shared because it does bring a load of joy into the world olden it is it's sort of this beautiful beautiful songs around that that depend on the on the and and so many cultures that that that that use it and yeah it's like all in all. I think it's amazing and it's quiet and it's just refreshing now out to kind of go anywhere in the world and be able to go somewhere and by good sitter strings because because it can be bit hard if you're on tour and you're out of strings when you look you can't get them anywhere but now there's there's different order problem yeah no absolutely and I think as you say I mean people will we've been playing for a long time and it is easy to get into that kind of place of Oh. No they're taking away the specialness of it in a way but the thing is it's far outweighed by the community spirit and and people just getting into the music for the first time. I mean I do a lot of workshops and a lot of older people who may be put off by by Nasty Piano teaches and they youth or whatever they finally getting into music in and really enjoying it. I guess it goes back to almost that Samoan kind of feeling feeling of community Music Yeah Tyler he completely rot yeah it is it's true how many festivals I ran into elderly. Fi feick in the just thought up yet I gotTA my equally costs. Every way can united is that is that sense of community and yeah. I think you bang on rather you mentioned Xavier Rudd before. How did you actually meet him. we met at a GIG in northern New South Wales and always playing drums run on the band and he was basically he was just hanging there and we had some mutual friends and and yeah he just kind of you know I think it was at a time in his life he was playing solo and he was was looking for potential papal to share music with into jam with and yeah I just kind of popped up really and he's a real intuitive guy and he's just gonNa on a you know he's always done that. In just sort of like you know thought things and just kind of had to look around to see what's available and yeah we we had a gym not long after we met and for about twenty minutes and then he said Gould sounds good do want to Let's do a GIG and the Gig the first Gig I ever did with him was that Blues Fest Barn by Blues Festival in well yeah and it was on stage to like ten thousand isn't paypal and weighed just -plied for twenty minutes and it was an hour set so I had no idea of selling prepared and just it was it was a pretty scary but also experience and and then yeah after that Gig. He said all that was awesome. Let's go on tour and basically went to America with him. In Netcom started towed with him for five years and you know yeah couple easy decided to to stop that to concentrate on music in music but you know we're still really close and he's a big supporter of my music and you know we've had some jams as well where up by hookah and he plays slide. He's really good. Weisenborn slog guitarist you know just kind of really getting into that Hawaiian esque sort of spirit and yeah that's really fun on fun to do but so what's the what's the main difference between a Bobby Luta and Xavier Rudd to well Savia rods I when I play music with him. Yes it's it's full drums and in support of his music and I play on some of his songs but the bobby alley to is some yeah. It's amazing mazing how different it really is. It's just like it's all you know my show. In my music is is a real focus on on good vob and you know I really try and make the very or the festival the tent whatever flying in light really feel wholesome and and feel good about themselves and about law and you know that's a real codify for me and my band and yeah it's it's a real real fun time and really enjoy doing mush is and yeah. We're we're GONNA have a lot coming up because of this new album and and yeah we just did one really great tour in north Queensland loss wake and one of the great shows was in a just outside of Kansas Amputate repeat natural amphitheatre so those about yeah it was just such a united son at sunset and yeah we came on and started hitting into al.. You you know Polynesian style kind of update but still crazy lots of harmony. There's lots of singing in my band. You know really sort of establishing that Kinda pollination community singing in `sound yeah it just kind of really came across well and it's great sunset music. Actually that's what I kinda yeah and yeah. It's just I feel so lucky to do that. And I really feel I could smell purpose to despaired that vibe around yeah fantastic. What are the best worse things about life on the road. The best thing is exactly that like having you know. Music is a vessel to travel like us just incredible. I really pinch myself a lot because vein all over the world and literally it's because of my voice might Ukulele and along drum like that's those three things taken me around. I feel sorry cherished inside lucky to be able to do that so that for me is the best thing and the worst thing is is not having harm that sucks you know like missing your friends and your family and your loved ones. you know for me when you do travel and tours like thousands of people every week but one of them mm-hmm you know like it's not like there's not that connection or that history and so that can kind of get pre tarring and you know this this is this something special about a community and you know waking up in urine place and and just having a day to do nothing offing and maybe maybe you can hang out with some friends and just enjoying the area you're in I really have been so grateful for that. When when I'm hiring I've just I just think it's incredible and you just get that onto what you were saying before. life can be quite overwhelming. Do you think it gets more difficult now to be a musician with social media and all the other sort of commitments that that brings yeah. I definitely definitely do I think musicians or artists a quite simple to start with. I think you know like basically what in my experience from conversations with artists friends as well I wanna do is just do their art and not have to worry battle this other stuff and you know like with social media sure it's brought like this positives and negatives positively anyone in the world right at this moment can listen to my song if I am that which is incredible platform but the on the flip side. It's kind of like sorry much information that it just overwhelmed jeep because there's just too much too much stuff going on so if you're an artist and you just love seeing about cats and that's all you wanna day a and then you go online. You see all this other stuff. He kind of like you start to question with it. Oh maybe I should sing back. Cats and dogs and rats and pigs and elephants and you just go on. I'll sing about Ron is and you just sort of like it. Just gets a bit too much when really the reason why go into it is because is he just wanted to sing about cats so it's. Kinda like you just get distracted so easily from what it is that you love and I think that's really a real tough challenge for artists because yeah it's like we all. I should be doing is concentrating on the thing that I loved to do and that that they do well but yet it just gets ah distracting when you've got all this influence going on the an evolving sort of landscape isn't it of of how people listen to music and how people consume it.
