"11 year old son coupe said, look who they're going against dad. It's loyal of Chicago, who he took to the final four, I believe. He then started beating our brackets up because he took loyal of Chicago. You mean coupe tiny? Coup tani, coupe tiny eisen, cup Tommy eisen. Plain enough. Swinging a bat and pitching in little league. There you go. Good versus evil. Sister Jean. Why say sister and I have no idea if my brain's, you know what? I'm blaming the clocks. Screw these clocks. I mean, it should be 12. Look up today at my normal time, and I'm like, I was totally disoriented. We're back. Yeah, I missed that one. It should be ten 17. Yeah, good thing. But you still came in at the same time. Yeah, which was late. Well, you know, what is late? Let's be honest, what it's like. You know, you got people to come here at 6 a.m.. That's a little too early. Okay, very good. Back Prescott 31% most pressure. I haven't even with a retweet yet. I'm about to go vote on this. Everyone engulfs us there to the number one. It's something but when Odyssey says they're the number one putter on the tour, you can believe it. Because Odyssey was the number one parter on every major tour in 2021 that are the number one ranking in worldwide wins at the last 37 major championships across the PGA LPGA and champions tour. Not only did more pros play in Odyssey putter in those majors but more pros one major championships in 2021 with an Odyssey. And you may have also heard Xander schauffele won gold in Japan last summer with an Odyssey.

"And mix it up a little bit with these guys. So yeah. Without further ado, shout out to Adidas. Thank you. Are good, good folks at Adidas. Without further ado, here a little bit more about the new Adidas golf shoes and our man's zander schauffele. Alexander, we want you to roll out some golf advice. So we've accepted a few questions. First guy, 11 handicap, he says his 7 iron flies one 55. So that's kind of the info you need to know. One of my buddies always makes me take a caddy when we play his course. I'm talking every round. You must not really trust his own abilities. But I don't see what he sees in the value, having the caddy just makes me nervous and it costs me more money. Golf is expensive enough as it is. How should I handle it the next time you invite me? Well, obviously your buddy is getting in your head, you're making it very easy for him. Unfortunately, I would just invite him to his own course and not play his buddy's home course. I think it's a pretty simple fix. 35 handicaps, so this is someone hopefully new to the game. 7 iron goes 140 yards. It's actually pretty good for a 35 handicap. Obviously, I am not good at golf. My best score was last week, 104, but my clubs aren't very good either. I'm using my dad's old clubs from the mid 2000s. But when you are a 30 plus handicap, what comes first? Do you spend time and money getting fitted for new clubs? Or do you spend time and money getting lessons? My wallet is at your disposal Xander. Let's hear it. I mean, in that case, you know, if you're at 35 handicap and you're a little timid, I think first off, looking good, feeling good. We'll lead to playing well. If you're not afraid to drop a little bit of coin, I would recommend getting a lesson first and then get a fitting and then get new clubs. In that order, one two three. All right, we've got an 8 handicap. 7 iron with a baby fade. He says goes one 75 like to see video evidence of that. My friend takes three practice swings every single time before he takes a shot. He then stands over and uncomfortably long time. I've joked nicely this third practice swing looked just as good as his first, but he never changes. Please give me a trick on how I can hurry him the hell up. Just walk off the tee box. Just don't entertain. Is that how you deal with it? How do you deal with slow players on tour here? Just leave. I think you just kind of walk away or I don't know if the third or second or third part between is for the guy for himself or for his buddy because his buddies clearly showing that this bothering him. You know, cough is all mental. It's all about getting in people's heads. So I think you can start yawning or just walk to the cart and just kind of start driving away slowly and be like, oh, sorry, I didn't see you there. Have you ever yawned in someone's direction in pro golf? Not intentionally. Last one we have for you Xander. This comes from a scratch handicap player seminar is a tight draw 172 yards..

"It just kind of reminds me that all these all these pros are trying to do the same thing and they can glean little bits of info from each other that'll generally just like they're just not that meaningful, but if they matter if they matter in your head standing over the ball, that can be the difference between missing a cut and suddenly flushing it all week long, being super confident and then winning your first event of the year. Yeah. Consistent theme. I mean, there's a lot to tackle there, but a consistent theme that I've heard from two players that have seemed to figure it out is accepting imperfection. Like accepting what you have that week and playing with it. So instead of chasing after perfect golf, it's realizing that when guys win on tour, when women win on the LPGA tour, it's not necessarily because they were firing on all facets of the game that week. They still make a bunch of mistakes that week. But it's more like they don't make a bunch of big mistakes. They make a bunch of putts and you sort of just hang in there. It's like you don't ever take yourself out of the mix. And yeah, I hope we probably always underestimate how much success is just generated by something that seems kind of dumb like scrolling through Instagram and seeing a motivational quote. Who knows how much inspiration Bryson gets from literally just buzzing through Instagram. Bryson had a renaissance just from talking to Chris Pratt. So yeah, if we think some of these storylines seem too simplistic, they're probably more simple than we know. Some of the case. Well, remember the big hit of the summer last year, John rom, quoting Ted Lasso saying, yes. Be a goldfish. Sure. And it makes sense. That's the thing. Yeah, it kind of checks out. Yeah, it does. Do you have anything else for the viewers this week before we toss to a fun little segment between us and Xander schauffele? Shout out to Richard bland. First of all, 48 years young, I mean, just relentless. We did this PGA Tour, well, pro golf stock exchange before the start of the year. And we ridiculed James colgan, our young coworker for taking bland stock. I think I compared it to Staples..

"Lose a huge day of pro ams, pro ams are huge things, huge money getters for PGA Tour events. So are we talking about a fantasy world in which almost half the season ends on a Saturday? We might be. So yeah, I was down at Torrey with a couple for a couple days and I should say right before the tournament started and the players were loving the lack of pro am. There was a Monday pro am, which they're actually usually is. We don't hear much about it, but there's a little bit of a lesser Monday pro am before a lot of events. There was one of those on the south, but a couple of the guys were saying, man, this makes a lot more sense than what we usually do. And what other sport would you, it's not like the NBA, they're shutting down practice the day before a big game so that a bunch of local CEOs can come to shoot around. And you shut up, you know, you have a certain amount of the roster. Maybe 8 guys get to come on the court that day, shoot around with the CEOs. If you're number like 9 through 13 on the bench, you're no. You're like, nah, maybe after our shoot around with the CEOs, maybe you can get a couple jumpers in. I think that that's this strange reality of the programs. But yeah, big time cash cow. I think they're really good for charity. I think there's a lot of good reasons. I mean, golf is different from the NBA for a lot of reasons. But the players, I think, really like that development. So it's not realistic every week, but for a few of these weeks, I think it is. On the LPG tour Dylan, another big winner, Lydia co wins the game bridge event. She held off Daniel Kang, who was trying to do the beginning of the season sweep. In Florida, yeah, I mean, I guess it's good to see Lydia co win again. She was asked afterwards if she's feeling like she's back to being Lydia co. She ended her very long winless streak. Last year didn't win after, but contended in some majors attended in multiple majors. She'd play just like super consistent golf. She's won again, she won for the 17th time and her LPGA tour career did you get to watch any of Lydia's finish or we wrapped up at the chiefs game. They were the ones really battling the TV spot. I had a second screen experience going on..

"First. Was it a great idea? Was it a success? I know that the viewership, it's probably not going to be that great anyways. You know, Saturday night, not everyone's gearing up to watch golf. But is it a victories of small victory or no? I think it's a victory. Yeah. The real Victor who would be if the NFL moved off of Sundays. I think it's smart. I think it's making the best of a tough circumstance. Yeah, and I think that the people involved should be praised for making this happen. I think it was really fun to have something going on on a Saturday night that is just like, oh, this is cool. Golf can be a part of your Saturday evening. You know, like the way college football would be a part of whatever you're doing on Saturday. Oh yeah, we'll throw on the Bama game on CBS at four eastern. I think that the suggestion that all golf should move to Saturday during football season. I think that that probably has a little bit of merit to it too. Yes, that's my suggestion. I don't know during the Hawaiian swing. I don't know. You could kind of split hairs on that one based on time zones and who else is playing. But I don't think that this is necessarily a huge win. I don't think that people are going to tune in like crazy on Saturday night to watch golf. I think that what is actually great is when there's nothing else going on on Sundays and people tune in ritualistically to watch the finish of the gulf. So what golf needs is not like Saturday finishes, what golf needs is the end of football season because people really do. If there's tape delayed CBS golf on people will tune in to watch that. I think that this is great and I think it I think it's a good move. I it sounds like farmers is going to continue having this event on finish on Saturday night and I think that that's a victory. But yeah, I think we'd be lying if we said that also golf was going to suddenly take over Saturday evenings. Yeah. I think this might be too much chaos, but I'm totally down with the fall season, running all the way up until Super Bowl weekend, being Saturday finishes, like let's have, let's take the baton from the NFL. Super Bowl Sunday ends, the next Sunday, which would be the genesis invitational big event tigers event, suddenly we're back to Sundays. What the apologies, of course, to March Madness. I will say, all right, the thing that I like the most about it was not the Saturday finish. I did like that. Don't get me wrong. But the Wednesday tournament golf was very fun. And the Friday, the Friday sort of end of work, broadcast TV golf. That was very fun, too. And then Thursday becomes a little more dramatic with guys making the cut. It actually does really work. The mechanics of the tournament moving up in the week works really well. Because golf is an all time great background at work, TV sport. So I feel like it came off a little negative in that first part just because I want to temper expectations. Maybe there weren't actually that many people that watched this event. The ratings are not going to blow anybody away. But I think that it's a victory. I'm on board with your take. Yeah. The only thing that you can really poke a hole through it with is for Farmers Insurance for sponsors of tour events. It's nice to have tickets sold on the weekend. You get more tickets on the weekend than on the weekdays..

"If you guys were standing on a range picking out targets with 6 iron, than it is if you're going to go down and play pirates cove, where I know you've had some success in the past. I wish that was a joke, but it's true. What I enjoyed most about the weekend of the gulf is that this is kind of a trope that I've tried it out before. It's just so enjoyable for me to watch a tournament in which the leaders on the weekend shoot 70 or 69 or 71. And that is good. That is just good enough. And John ram on Sunday shot one under. Ella Torres shot one under Jason Day shot even par, not on Sunday, during the final round on Saturday. And all those guys were relevant the entire time, like shooting par does not move you down the leaderboard necessarily. Or at least it doesn't bottom you out in which you have to shoot 64 to win it. I know Luke list shot 66 and chased these guys down, but none of those guys felt like their game was off on during the final round. They were just grinding out on a tough golf course and it is just such a welcome site at this point in the season where as we've discussed, you go from camp Smith winning at 34 under into the la Quinta event or the Sony open where these guys have to reach 22 to 27 under in order to win. You know, as a la tourist and list got to 15 under, and it felt like a goddamn grind to get there. I love that type of golf. It adds more variance. It is just a better viewing experience in my opinion. Yeah, I think 6 of the top ten guys shot in the 70s on the on Sunday. There's also something to Torrey pine south. It's almost come full circle where I think people were sort of over it for the U.S. open. Because we almost just see it too often. But now that we've seen it that often, it's like a, you know, it's a familiar face. We've come back now. Solid. It's our third golf tournament here in 12 months. And Tiger has always played here. So people know it. And in terms of entertainment, when it comes to a golf tournament, knowing the course that people are on. I mean, that's half the magic of the masters. I would say. So even though you can have your gripes about the finishing stretch for sure, yeah, 14 and 15 just being sort of the same par four back to back. It's kind of weird and the fact that 18, the only drama is just the fact that you dropped a pond into this area, this inland area on a cliff side piece of property. And that's the main drama of the tournament. You can get golf architecture, snobbish about it, and you'll have a fair case to make. But from an entertainment perspective, having a hard golf course that rewards good ball striking brings a lot of good players into the mix..

"He finally did it. And it wasn't even guaranteed. It wasn't up to him. It was up to wills a lot Torres on Sunday late in, I don't know, Luke list. Yeah. He actually got it done. I would have, if you'd asked me coming into the week, I would have told you, yeah, Luke list, he's probably one of PGA Tour event. You'd figure that he would have picked one up along the way, somewhere. He's been in the mix enough. He is a great ball striker. He hits the hell out of the ball. But it's a good reminder that whatever on and off, media scrutiny, these guys get like these PGA Tour lifers, these veterans, they kind of keep their card, but don't necessarily excel. Don't necessarily make the router cup or the tour championship or whatever. They have their own form of scorekeeping. And for Luke list that screen probably comes from the idea that he essentially now has three years exempt on the PGA Tour. That's a lot of relief right there. He has the monkey off his back of winning an event. Even though it's not like with Tommy Fleetwood, where people are accounting down. He still isn't one an event. He's doing that calculation. And that's probably a good reminder of that. Yeah, I mean, just the job security, I think that that's massive. I can't believe that he waited almost two hours. He was like, he was a practicing the entire time, too. It was like it was how Tong Lee's situation nearly it was like someone get this man off the range. He said he was just enjoying the scenery, which, look, you and I have played some late evening golf at Torrey pines before. It gets chilly. It gets chilly, but it's gorgeous. It is. Yeah, yeah, the shadows get long. And I mean, yeah, I would argue that drone shots have done Torrey pines better than any other golf course on tour. Because the cliffy scrub in the background doesn't really look that good. So you're just ground level shots or I think pretty forgettable on Tori, but when CBS hits their new theme music and they show you the overhead, they pan out to the cliffs, go out to number 12, or number four. It makes a big time difference and you kind of remember how spectacular that property is. Yeah, it is pretty magnificent, I guess, is the word. I think naturally, golf Twitter, that group of people, however, indefinite, it really is. They're probably most disappointed that didn't get it done. There's a lot of people taking videos of zella torus is kind of yippy putts and I think that that might be what we take with us from Torrey pines most, but on some level, this is more meaningful for Luke list than it ever was going to be for will's ale Taurus. El torus is 25 year old stud. He has an iron game that is probably top 15 in the world. All around tita green, one of the best players on the planet. He's probably going to contend a couple more times this season. You know, before the end of the year, in the next 6 months, he'll probably contend a couple more times on the PGA Tour. Luke list is contended like a couple times in his career, like truly contended. So this is one of those events where it's like, okay, darn, zell tors didn't get it done. We want the people that we care about to win. But at the end of the day, I'm okay with wills all tourists losing. And a guy like Luke list having a career defining day. Yeah, I think that that's fair. I think.

"On or close to the West Coast, I don't find it to be as big of a deal. And again, Rory is smart enough and I think most often takes his wins and losses with a grain of salt wherever they come from. So I don't think he's going to fret over this too much. And the fact that he was in position to win is something that he will, I don't know. That'll matter way more than what happened, I guess, with him pulling the trigger with three wood. Young hove wins Victor hovland moves up to number three in the world ranking. His highest ranking ever, I need the question really is, is that a big deal that he's number three in the world now? The young, the youths up there are rom number one, more cow number two and hovland number three, we're getting dangerously close to your bold prediction at the turn of the year. Thank you for remembering, in which you said that three Europeans will be atop the world ranking and it will be rom hovland and Rory. I don't know if that was the order. But is this a big deal that hovland is up there? I always exactly the order, in fact, is rom one hovland to Rory three Rory slit into 6th with his third place finish there. Which might seem like a pretty hefty reward, given the circumstances. But I think it's a big deal. Yeah, I mean, I think the fact that Victor Holland is ahead of Dustin Johnson in the world ranking the fact that he's ahead of Patrick cantlay, who obviously got a little bit of a benefit from the rom memorial situation last year, was maybe artificially higher than he should have been. I think his proximity to Colin Morikawa is pretty significant because we have talked about Morikawa in a way that we have probably not talked about Victor hovland up to this point as a generational player. The comparisons to Tiger Woods, the major championships, probably play a role in that too. So it's a big deal that he's number three. Right now John rom has 9.33 points, Morikawa has 8.24 and Holland has 7.15. So there's a little bit of a gap there, but he still has a significant lead over cantlay, who's 6.6. So it's a pretty clear top three right now..

"During the December or the November prior. And it was George Spieth and Martin keimer, while speed was 25 to one, nailed that. Then I bet on Louis tazen and I think Rickie Fowler to win the U.S. open, Louis, makes a valiant charge at chambers bay. Comes up one stroke shy of the playoff with Spieth. So I came very close to winning that one. But then I nailed Zach Johnson among my three British open bets at 80 to one at saint Andrews, and then I got Jason Day at 25 to one as well to win the PGA. So I nailed three of the four majors that year. Almost the Grand Slam of major bets. You didn't know what you think we've lost? Do you think we lost all the listeners thus far? No, I think this is pretty good stuff. They need to know their co hosts are occasionally degenerates. Or associated. You know? Yeah. Let's move on to actual professional golf that happened this weekend. Dubai was maybe the most intriguing field like at the end of the day of the contenders. For me, Rory was up top. You had Richard bland up top, young hove, Victor hovland, up top. We need to start with Rory, though. You saw, and hopefully everyone listening saw the shot he tried hitting into 18 when he needed a birdie for the win and needed a par for the playoff. He eventually makes bogey because he hit from about 267 yards. What amounted to a shot that you've seen me hit a lot. Big blocky, wide open. Slice into a bigger slice shot that ended up in the water. Are we supposed to make a big deal of that happening to Rory a guy who kind of crumbles sometimes these days in terms of clutch golf? It's been a weird stretch on the DP world tour artists formerly known as the European tour Ferrari because the last few times out he's been in contention coming down the stretch. He's played obviously really good golf to get to that position, but man he's making a habit of hitting it in the water on a par 5 coming to the finish. Look, we talked about the McPherson thing here of not knowing what you don't know. And in some ways, Rory pulling three wood from two 67, it seemed like an example of the sort of irrational confidence that we want Rory to play with, right?.

"Drop your golf ball. Speeds up play when you have those drop barriers. Fowler has dropped the ball twice. The shambo is going to get a free drive. Something bad has happened if we end up here. This is the job zone. Good morning, good afternoon. Good evening folks. It's the drop zone. It's Sean Zach and Bill and the chair. Your favorite two co hosts in the gulf podcast space that is a certainty. Dylan, how are you feeling? I may be better than you, Sean. I mean, for one thing, I know you would never tell the listeners this, but my co host is podcasting, hurt today. Had a bit of a bit of an accident. I don't know if we would say injury earlier today's deal with a dislocated shoulder. This could be your flu game. We have not recorded obviously yet, so I don't know how your performance is going to be, but I could see an elevated just a rising to the occasion and adrenaline game from you. So I don't know how to take it, but I'm optimistic. This is already a podcast that I hope my parents don't listen to because then they'll get really worried. Let's move on to the golf firstly the Kansas City Chiefs just lost to the Cincinnati Bengals. And what did we get down the stretch of a CBS broadcast between Jim nantz and Tony Romo? We got plenty of golf. We got them talking about how Evan McPherson, the Cincinnati Bengals kicker who took the lead and then actually won them the game in overtime. It was a line from Jay Felix that actually compared him this young hot shot kicker to a golfer who just doesn't know what he doesn't know. He doesn't have any scar tissue. I thought that that was kind of typical mance and Romo. When you get them broadcasting and important playoff football games, they just can't turn their gulf brains off. Look, I mean, if you think about McPherson, you could draw some cross sport comps pretty easily. If you want to talk about guys that didn't know what they didn't know. You think about guys that now know what they know, I guess would be the counter to that. I mean, you talk about a young Jordan Spieth, the young Rory McIlroy guys with swagger..

"You know whenever they leave so to be able to lift up everybody is. It's a special trait. I think that i have a performance. Make everybody more relevance and make them a better performance to make them You know get more attention and more on them. Hence my johnson to pick me You know that that's like that weird delicate juggling game that you have to be able to play to be able to protect yours but also make everything better to stay in that top position. Yeah but you know. It's been unbelievable to watch how long you've been able to keep going here and just continue to raise the game. And that's why michael cole says in his eyes. Johnson is the greatest of all time. Because of how long did it for whatever you know. And whatever michael cole can live in game and by the you comparing it to missionary position got pretty good part of me. I don't know if you've got a chance to hear that. I mean but for a long time he was able to do it. And now you're able to do the same thing all the old legends. Now not just not gone johnson old but all the legends are edge. Obviously i hey. I want to roman jonah. I want roman. Everybody on earth assumes that there's going to be a couple of other mount rushmore like wrestlers that are potentially going to come back and say. Hey i want roman reigns. Can you think about any of that or do you just kind of stay in the current mom and how how far forward do you have to kind of think ahead in this game. Why you you got you got you. It's like goals right. You gotta short term and then you long-term goals Obviously stay within the discipline of of perfecting every single day and grinding doubts he gets those longer viewpoints in longer. Goes but i mean i have great. Hope you know what i mean. I i have a special special counsel or heymann. Who's been in this business for a long time. He's seen i mean d- greats come up in a lot of them were under his tutelage so He he's a great weapon. That i have in morris not the kind of you know stay on my shoulder and remind me and being my ear. Tell me different scenarios in different ways to play things out And the how not to. Just sometimes you know from the lineage that i come from i try to get my way. Just being a savage smashing born faking it. Sometimes you can manipulate different ways. And that's something that i'm very proud of is that i've been able to do it. i've been to a politically i've been able to do it. You know and You know very mass masterfully To get things done without just having a crush everybody. You have crushed everybody those well. I mean yeah. I ahead time roman with pad doing smackdown we've kind of experience like a microcosm of what you guys have to go through in terms of like the travel you know you're on the road three hundred days a year but when you couple that with obviously you have the massive responsibility of basically having the company on your shoulders and then you also had your cancer diagnosis and like beat nazar. Ever been a point like when you're going through this where it's just like oh shit. I don't know if i can do this anymore. I don't know if i want to do this anymore. No i mean it's always it's almost like especially once you know my Leukemia relapsed and we went through all that and then the process give back and then even the process of light. Once i was back there is almost like a like a year long portion so where i was treading water just going with the flow and creative was just happening and you know. There's i don't know. I i was just trying to be A team player and make it as easy as possible for the creative Situation and there came. You know that. That was a portion. Signed where i was like man. I want to be able to prove that. Chandu this and i can do it at a high level consistently for a long time and i was able to do that and i'm still doing that but i mean i got to the point where it wasn't just about being really good anymore. I wanted to wanted to go further. I wanted to be great. And that's what this chapters has been Ever since i came back last summer slam. So i just wanted to really raise the bar and not just be a guy with a lot of potential but to let that that potential play out and be flushed out in front of our audience so they experience that greatness in and that's what i'm trying to do every single day minute's a grind every single week it's a battle to you know like you know you've seen it pat i. It is a huge show a huge machine and we all have our opinions. And we all have our you know the path that we say see that are characters in these stories should be laid out So it takes a lot of a lot of experience and a lot of creativity to be able to push your narrative. The way you wanna adds a lot. I mean there's a lot especially with you. I mean with you being demand event every single front. I mean it is it is you can just go ahead and understand that normally to start the show now. The summer scene has been a little bit different but normally to start the show. Roman reigns coming and the closed. The show roman reigns is coming out. There's only a couple of billion dollars on the line by the way and arenas everywhere to sell out. You do an incredible job next week summer slam. I can't wait to watch out. You know. Battle with michael cole's greatest of all time roman reigns stupid an extended. Come on. yeah. I mean like i said man. We like john in the beginning of the show. Get them going. You know what. I mean yell out you know. Bring that yelling charisma and get the crowd going and then like i think you can be louder town and get them the stream again. That's right that's a good time but it's gonna be an ugly night in vegas. It's going to be like like when you get smashed at the table. You you're up big you feel like oh man. We're going home with some money. And then let's keep going. If he was smart he just he cash out right now. maybe give. We'll give them this. Friday have fun. Let's let's go promos on each other. let's have fun. Make some money but cash out. Just go to go to europe and start filming. Don't go to vegas that's on saying. Do not go to vegas. Because we're more smash you gonna pack you on a private jet. We're gonna send you across the pond and has done man. I'm telling you now get while the getting is good the tables hot but it's time to leave because shut this heater down and i'm telling you just like just like i did. The legends of wrestlemainia stack them. A pin them retired him. The other one had figured out. He's pretty much done to seen as on the same path on anybody who steps up the university championship. I'm gonna smash their ass. I'm gonna send them home. Ladies and gentlemen. I got. I got him fired. Hit the smasher. Pullback in mega tackle for las. That's how it's going down.

"Yeah so those happened in every practice right. There's always some sort of situation that you're working on normally third downs or one day and i do or the other and then there's a fast friday and then walk through on saturday and then the game week so but every single day whether it's working on first down second down or whatever their situations in there you know like if it's second in long you have to work on that in the radio. Dan for us the only reason why no this is because some of those situations do have a kick at the end if it happens right so like a two minute drill one thirty five might even be a situation that another team actually had this past season where. There's no timeouts how they handled it. I how they would handle it instead. Maybe something they did last year. Like for instance. The the chargers there was a lot of situations where the chargers were handling the situation terribly. Yeah they were in the lead k. We're trying to run four minute offense here everybody on earth when you're in the league at the end of the game you're trying to stay inbound. You're trying to keep that clock running because guess what the clock runs gay. Men's who's an lead you you win win okay. So that's just smart football all right. That is just what you have to do. The patriots have dominated in these types of things. Football iq outs describe but it's all situational football. Basically the patriots have dominated for some of. The chargers will probably go through in practice. Indifference times situations that they potentially fucked up last year now whether staley tells them that is what they're doing or somebody remembers it or if they're doing something else all those things happen so i thought the mo jo moment was going to be something i hadn't seen before they can add some energy to it or something like that or but it seemed like it was your situation will football pretty big plays which i guess he's trying to point out like hey you know there are plays in the game and then there are plays in a game that you have to show. I don't. I'm not a hundred percent in but just like mike mccarthy said if you get a chance to use an austin powers line you and that's that is what you have to do but bringing energy you know to practice and trying to make something that is very routine. Feel new is a massive part of coaching. things can get stale. You have to change things up and bring energy like the gold member Which a lot of people said well that interesting. Mike mccarthy's using austin powers one year after the. Oh no kidding. That's i mean but hey ain't no kidding nets. No i mean i i when i was watching house like say anything but you know i mean. That's very convenient but outside of it's weird because with the cowboys it seems like you kind of know everybody on the team already but like you said like i've never really seen anything from daklak. You guys is such a polish kind of bullshit version of it. So it's awesome to see like. Was there anyone else that you saw last night. That you're i. I liked this guy okazaki. We're like what's going to happen the next few weeks here. All right so coach bones. We learned a lot about all right. Fossil son of coach legendary coach has been a wizard special teams coordinator for long time. Also been on coaching staffs. I think that let him do his thing. You know. I think he was. With fisher and fisher. Let them run a bunch of fakes with johnny. Hector who's fucking freak athlete and then whenever he Went with mcveigh. They continue to let him do a bunch of insane stuff. He got paid a bunch to go to dallas when they were trying to fix up special teams because of how you know he has had a lot of success. I think mike mccarthy actually said last year like i talked to bones about stuff. Because i think he's super high football iq of special teams before by the way because a lot of situational football situations end up with special teams. A a kick or something like that happened so learning that he's been neutered and then reopened. It was fascinating that was a fascinating thing. Learn about it but seems like a great connection with player and they loved it guy. I think the guys you're a soldier something that well. He's got that room. I mean the room and they are very tight. And i guess that's how you can learn about each other and the only way you can kinda grow together as if you learn more about and i feel like. Hbo is like hey. Here's a special teams coordinator. I if you know exists or not. But you're about to learn a lot about him and his him and his team got along great mica. I enjoyed mica. I thought he was a fascinating guy out there. He flies to the football use. He flies around now. Ten digs was all upset after the preseason the hall of fame game because people were crying and is a new legend in the nfl. Or whatever and after watching that. I'm like i don't think it was just after that. I think in the cowboys camp. They're very excited about mike abi and they're like even vandenbossche or whatever Who he's not calling plays anymore by the way. I think mike is actually plays. Sean lease out now in in you know. It's kind of like a turnover. Almost seems like he's joking like he's having a great time with him and i think anytime that type of thing happens i think when you see somebody that's special who also. I like whenever the teammates like. I'm a big judge. Like which i wish. They would've showed more of the team interacting with each other. I wonder why they didn't do more of that. Little baby view. While i was gonna say maybe just because it typically like most other teams. They wouldn't have had the hall of fame game so like they had to dedicate you know twenty five minutes to that or whatever i know jerry. Jimmy true surprise. Jerry might've been like. Hey we still don't wanna put jimmy johnson the ring of honor. So can you leave that out of the episode. I don't wanna remind people because that was uncomfortable. Well obviously you guys don't allow for the cowboys and When we started that ring on he was just let everybody..
