Embracing Self-Care with Mary Hyatt

"You are a very multifaceted kind of person. You're you're a yoga instructor therapist. Your life coach. You are very knowledgeable about essential oils. How did you discover your strengths to did these things just kind of fall in your lap or how did this all come about for you. You know it's so fascinating. I think like when you hear. Somebody's resume or their out. And you're like wow like. They're an expert at xyz or whatever and yet at least for me which i would imagine. This is true for most people. It's like a journey. Along the way we start picking up these interests and facets of what is drawing your attention and for me. It was all from my own personal healing journey. And if we were to rewind the clock like eight years ago you would have a very different mary. I was about eighty pounds heavier than i am now. I was dealing with like really extreme anxiety and depression. I wasn't a marriage that was just not healthy and not ultimately life-giving and i really had no sense of purpose. No sense of identity and was dealing with autoimmune staff so it was like the culmination of somebody who has totally just lost themselves and i was almost like sleepwalking through life is what it felt like in so there was this moment. I can remember so clearly where it was like. Okay either this is going to go to a bad place really really quickly and it was already kind of spiraling in getting to that point. Or there's got to be more to life than this. Like surely little flicker of hope shirley there's more to life than this and thank god. I listened to that voice of. There's there's more here and started this journey of self discovery and started to come into. What made me come alive. And and authentic and learning about myself and learning about my own feminity and my own just essence as a woman and so little by little. I started kind of adding these different tools to my toolbox That me to do my own work. Further and then ultimately as a life coach now be able to give that gift as medicine two other women who've been on a similar journey so it's kind of like my own work that now gets to be given to others your podcast. I've tuned into a couple of episodes. You're actually right now at the time of this recording. Your your theme for the month is femininity. Yeah and i think that was one of the reasons why i was like okay. Wow when we're here on the get foxy show. That's one of the things that i felt like i wanted to do for my listeners. Was to help them. Learn more about cultivating an amplifying their own divinely given feminine entity and so. Oh mary she's she's she's Needs to be on this show. so what. What have you been discussing on your podcast over the last couple of weeks hot. Oh my gosh. It's so juicy. It's like literally my favorite month so far and i feel like every month. We talk about just amazing topics around self-discovery and mindset and so to end the year as we're recording this in this this topic of feminity is so beautiful because there's all different ways of looking at it. i mean the reality is. Is that this. Concept of femininity. In and of itself is deep. There's a lot of different ways. You could approach it and so on the pike cast. We're looking at that. we're looking at. How do you personally define your own femininity because we're getting all these messages from diet culture from the fashion industry from the porn industry. On what it is to be a woman you have to look certain way you have to behave a certain way. Even on google like the definition of femininity is like agreeable and pleasing and cooperative and quiet. It's just as outdated one dimensional definition of what it is to be a woman so on the show. We're getting to explore like okay. If i could look at the totality of myself as a woman the essence of what makes me divinely female. What does that even look like. How do i even begin to experience her. And not just from what. I've been told from childhood or religion or culturally. You know i know that Especially now as even tricky because we are more out there than ever as women and working were raising children. We are in unconventional relationships. We are in a way trying to do it all. And it's exhausting us. I mean it's really depleting acids burning us out and so it still trying to figure out. How do i define this in a new way. That isn't like in the confines masculinity like. I don't have to work like a man. I don't have to produce like a manner achieve like a man was. It looked like to do that as a woman. So those are kind of the the surface level things that we're talking about on the show and then we're getting into all the fund woohoo staff about your menstrual cycle and the moon cycle and astrology. An archetype. so it's like real a wide range of different lenses in looking at feminine entity. that's fantastic. Yeah i will put a link in the show notes to that specific episode. And it's it's one of the episodes that i tuned into law. You guys are talking some very fascinating stuff that you mentioned how inner in our culture were to a point now where women are trying to do so much and where so many different hats that they're beginning to experience are have already experienced burn. How do you help someone recover from this and really kind of start embracing taking care of themselves. You know i think. I just xfl because like it really is something that is so prevalent right now that just depletion that deprivation an of self care and taking care of the needs that we have and it's bread. Ns almost taught to us from a very early age to give and give and give and give and be yes women to be people pleasers to do it all then you mix that in with like okay now. I'm feeling liberated. And i'm feeling independent in so i want to achieve all of these things and be the best version of myself and the reality is is that no human male or female can keep up with that kind of twenty four seven all in kind of demand for their lives and so to me when we can begin to look at first of all where my feeling deprived like i think we kind of have to almost diagnose the situation i and figure out where we're feeling exhausted. What's exhausted in our lives and get really honest. First and foremost about what's draining ass. What siphoning off our energy because no amount of self care can sort of cover up win we keep in the same patterns that are going to deplete us like that piece has to shift in order to experience something different and so i is identifying where am i at you know from a scale of one to ten on the burn out scale. Where am i am. I am handling it in my functioning. M i barely functioning am i to the point where i feel like i could have a mental breakdown and blow up at any moment which i feel like a lot of us are at that place you know. It's like the covid fatigue. The twenty twenty fatigue is really setting in and our bandwidth is is not what it normally would be and so i think the first step is going okay. I'm i'm really exhausted here. I'm struggling and from that place. Then we can look what needs to shift and starting to identify those warning signs that come into play that are ever so gently to the point. Where it's that little twinge of this is to match and say yes. And then oop i'm over committed and we say more and the point. Eventually we're most of us get total. Burnout is where it's like. Our body is shutting down our adrenals or shot are cortisol levels are depleted our vitamin d is depleted like everything within our physical bodies emotionally and just from a health. Standpoint is gone like the reserve has gone. So that's kind of like the the level ten on that scale. So let's look at where we at been. We can think about recovery replenishment and rejuvenation from a very holistic point of view.

"So being a california boy. I wasn't as familiar with lafayette radio electronics. As folks who lived in new york and new jersey in on that side of the country but in their day they were a big deal. They were a big deal. They went up against the likes of radio shack in heath kit and those kind of folks in terms of mail order electronics and they had stores to boot. I became interested in them. When i saw a few there. Stereo receivers for sale on ebay thinking. Those are the kind of cool. You know what i mean. You know when you're just kind of browsing around any go. That's a nice looking piece of equipment there. So i was initially attracted to their design but as i read up on them i saw that many people like the way they sound as well. They have that nice. Sort analog warm sound that so many people like with vintage stereo receivers and amplifiers now. They did have retail stores back in the day. Lafayette mostly in new york and new jersey as i mentioned earlier but their catalog businesses really the big deal In their lifespan. And if you live somewhere where your electronic shop was maybe a mom paw that had a limited selection or limited inventory. You could get a four hundred page. Lafayette electronics catalog and deceit everything. Everything that you wanted to see you know. The pages were filled with tape. Recorders and microphones and stereo systems. Cb radios and more and more and more they began their business in nineteen thirty-one like so many businesses. At that time they started out with a different name. I don't even recall what it was. But it evolved into lafayette electronics by the sixties and seventies You're seeing their ads. In popular electron ix stereo review in all of that and they had a number of store locations to i believe at their peak. They had something like a hundred and fifty store locations again. Most of them on the east side of the united states. The twenty two hundred. I purchased sold for two hundred ninety nine dollars in nineteen seventy six. It had a walnut. Finished would case. If feature twenty-seven watts per channel it has dual tuning a source selector switch for fono f. m. f. n. mute mp xfl filter a. and auxiliary it also had advanced features such as low noise transistors and phase locked loop stereo fm circuit for improved separation and low distortion in addition to all that it looked great. It really a a handsome looking receiver. And you'll see plenty of shots of it because i documented My restoration project of it. So you'll be able to get a good look at it. So i found my working unit on ebay for forty five dollars. It was like the perfect restoration project in the sense that with a little bit of work. And i'm talking about just a couple of hours of work. You could have something that looked ten times better than what you started with and you got it for a low price because you know one of the things about how ebay works is that is. Something looks really crappy. Obviously i mean that makes total sense right however when you know how to restore things you can look at things and say that only requires an hour's worth of work or two hours worth of work or i know how to you know. Get the part for that or or whatever and then suddenly those become you know hidden gems those become treasures that you can get a low price and then bring them back to life and you know. That's definitely what i thought i could do with this. Now it's funny. It took a long time for it to come. It came from new york. Of course right because i guess that's where a lot of those electronics are even those the mail order businesses. Well it came from new york in a large huggies diapers box that was split open on two sides and then it had styrofoam popcorn leaking out the broken areas of the box. I mean this thing. This box was possibly the ugliest box at ever arrived on my front doorstep at the studio. In fact i'm pretty sure that that driver who delivered it could not get out of his truck fast enough. You know what i mean. I i think i remember hearing it land on my doorstep. I'm not even sure if he said it down all the way i just heard this plop which probably made the seems split even more

Dwayne The Rock Johnson is Buying an Entire Football League

"For many of us, Monday nights sieve Longman, Monday, night football. So today's a good day to consider a shakeup in the football world. The potential revival of a would be competitor to the National Football League last week actor and former pro wrestler Dwayne the Rock Johnson with other investors bought a start-up Football League called the xfl this take some explanation especially to those who aren't avid sports fans. Let's start with the xfl contrary to popular belief. The NFL doesn't football is just had a monopoly for the most part for so long that most. Most people consider it an institution for the last couple of decades though rivals have attempted to build new leagues to compete with the. NFL. The XFL is one of those its roots began way back in the year two, thousand when World Wrestling Federation chairman. Vince. McMahon decided to build a league that could compete with the NFL NBC Cohen the League and planned to carry its games the XFL plan to extend the football season by playing games from just after the Super Bowl in February. Until late April. Now, at the time league owners, hopes were high that the Saturday night games could Wu and elusive audience TV. Teenage boys according to CNN. Vince McMahon. WWF had been almost magical in its ability to appeal to twelve to twenty four year. Old Males who typically don't stay home watching TV on Saturday nights. The xfl hoped McMahon could bring that WWF formula to football and win that desirable TV audience, and for one brief moment, it looked like their hopes were within reach the first game in two thousand, one drew more than fifteen million viewers a massive audience. That gold ring looked close and yet it turned out to be so far away as the season wore on audiences spell like a botched handoff after that single season, the xfl shutdown. Sometimes in life timing really is everything, and so it goes for Vince McMahon who decided that twenty twenty would be the right time to revive the xfl it launched in February, pitching the Seattle dragons against the DC defenders teams played five games among both players and owners. Optimism rained TV audiences varied by geography, but were decent enough that by March believe was well into planning the twenty twenty, one season. And then Kobe came along the League canceled the season March twentieth less than a month. Later, the XFL filed for bankruptcy sports writers added the xfl lists of other WanNa, NFL competitors who'd also tried to make a go of it over the years. The XFL seemed to be just another failed startup, but perhaps they declared the league's death too soon. Let's get back to Dwayne Johnson better known as the Rock Johnson actually started his career as a football player, but never made it to the NFL instead, he joined Vince McMahon's wwf where he quickly rose to superstardom before retiring to become an actor, he's now the highest paid actor in the world according to Forbes. With his business partner Danny Garcia who also happens to be his ex wife, the rock led the fifteen million dollar purchase of the. xfl. Out of Bankruptcy Sports Management Company redbird capital as a third partner. Johnson says the purchase was actually Garcia's idea she loves football and when the XFL declared bankruptcy, she saw their chance to own not just a team but an entire league not to get too grand about this. Consider that the salary of a single NFL football star say. Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak. Prescott is thirty, one million dollars. That's more than double what the partners paid for the xfl which has eight teams. Still, the deal made headlines. Perhaps it's a bit of hopeful light entertainment amidst the onslaught of grim. News in two thousand, twenty, Garcia. Johnson. Say They plan to produce multimedia content for fans year round, not just during the active spring season at production time, they hadn't yet said when the League will start to play again.

"xfl" Discussed on ESPN Daily

"XFL was supposed to be the league that can finally make spring football work with financial backing from WWe's Vince McMahon in veteran leadership from commissioner Oliver Luck. The idea seemed promising. But just five weeks in Copen, nineteen forced the xfl hit pause, and then unlike other leaks. It announced it was shutting down for good. Today the inside story of why the xfl closed doors, and whether it could have been saved. I'M UNICOM'S IT's Tuesday June sixteenth. This is espn daily presented by marathon. Shaken. What's Shakin what she can not much some to you're talking to you Kevin Siefert writes about the NFL and the xfl for ESPN. So Kevin the last time you and I talked was to preview the xfl so excited about this new league time the rules and how funding would be, and whether it would work, and while sadly, we are gathered here today to autopsy the xfl the. League officially suspended their operations on April tenth season quote the uncertainty of the current environment, obviously referencing the corona virus pandemic. What was it like inside the League on that day? It was pretty wild. Actually talked to Kurt unsecure. WHO's the president of the Saint? Louis? Battle. Hawks and he heard some rumors he had wondered if the League would. Need to cut back in some way like many businesses, but he at most thought there might be some layoffs or potentially some furloughs, but when he woke up that morning. Like many other xfl employees he saw the. Direct deposit from. His pay. Was <hes> much larger than normal. Anyone who's ever worked in an office setting or a for a company of any kind knows that on your last day you get a paycheck for your salary, and also for any occasion time accumulated, and that's what that's. What happened here and that was really the first sign that he occurred hunziker or anybody. Really who worked for the xfl knew that not only were some changes about to happen, but. Some really ominous events were about the Kerr that day. And they found out. There was a <hes> going to be an all company conference. Call at about noon. And that's where they were informed that everyone who works for the League was terminated. Kevin Win all that down. The XFL was on hold like pretty much everything else right I mean the pandemic hit a sports world back in March when the NBA system. It's season. WWe Closes headquarters in Stamford Connecticut days later then on March. Twentieth six fell big flat out of their season, and said we look forward to playing full seasons for you, and with you in twenty twenty one, so it seemed like at the time the plan wasn't afford the league entirely, but just hit pause. Pick up when the pandemic was over. Why do you think they thought they could keep going back then? I think they they felt pretty good that in the five weeks at the season had managed to get through they had. Gone a long way. Towards proving the concept they had pulled in about twenty million league revenues, and they're projecting forty six million through the rest of the year. They're TV. Ratings had dipped, but they were about to go on a run of having most of their games, either on ABC or Fox and so, that would probably at least stabilized the ratings, and they thought that they would have for the first time since they had started building the league time to really sit down, pull apart their thoughts and come up with a better product, the following year Vince McMahon who the owner of the League he had pulled almost four hundred million dollars out of WWe stocks into his personal account to finance. Really for two or three years, and so they knew the money was there, he had put up about two hundred million, and was committed to paying another hundred and fifty million a year for a few years. Until they could potentially get the profitability, so there was. A lot of confidence that the money existed to continue subsidizing the League in that long term plan would not be sacrificed just because the season had to end more abruptly than they had hoped. I didn't know that so the xfl Vince McMahon rather was using wwe money to fund the XFL. Right away you know Vincent Man's the owner of w w well early state, the founder and the CEO, and so he had lots of stock, and so he used that stock eventually to fund the XFL. There was a division, a financial and business division, but you know there was also a shared services agreement between the two. Certainly the way they were able to recruit coaches and front office people and even the Commissioner Oliver luck the way they were able to convince people to come aboard was the show them the plan the financial plan that he had to spend money over the over those three years, there was public documents. That showed that the stock had been sold in that the money was now. In Vincent. Man's hands to fund the XFL and that's why they they felt so good about it. So the xfl like every other sport announces. Hey, we're going on pause. Then a couple of weeks pass. What was the state of play at the beginning of April? Really at the beginning of April the XFL was in off season mode. Oliver Lock. WHO's the commissioner had been asked to come up with twenty, twenty, one I jets. He had asked all the department has all the team presidents to come up with plans to market the teams throughout the long off season. That was to come. Everything was in the XFL. Offices were being directed towards this twenty twenty one season and a lot of times towards the twenty twenty two seasons well, they were <hes> looking ahead, saying okay, here's what we want to do in twenty twenty one. We WanNa make it better, and this is what we want and twenty twenty two, and then then we look to see if we can be profitable and this was all going on really. Really, in between the time, the xfl canceled season, and when it shuttered and had bankruptcy, and so those plans were all compiled, and I'll reluctant demand to Vince McMahon, and then they didn't hear anything. They didn't hear anything back, and they thought maybe it was because Wrestlemainia was going on. People had their attention there, but that was something that caused a little bit of unease as the second week of April arrived and that. They've been asked to create these budgets. And then there have been radio silence. So Oliver Overlook. Who was commissioner of the XFL also Andrew looks father for those who don't know and has been a sports executive for years used to NFL Europe who's an executive with the NCWA? He's going about his business. Assuming the league's going to come back putting together some plans, and then what happens. And then he gets a call or actually gets a letter on April ninth stating that he had been fired for cause and the letter came from. Vincent man and from the his attorney listing supposed. Infractions to his contract into his duties that Oliver Luck had apparently committed in his response, Oliver Luck in his legal papers, said he had never been told of any of these issues, but on April Ninth I, think about five o'clock is when Oliver Luck found out, he'd been fired. So what elect do? You know he is already in his home. In Indianapolis, the xfl offices were closed, and so he immediately got with his lawyer. Because when you get fired, because usually that can mean that the guarantee in your contract is no longer valid, and so he has sued for wrongful termination, not only disputing the reasons that Vince McMahon fired him which among other reasons, whereas the use of company cell phone for personal reasons which. Many people in the xfl on in the public to be an awfully <hes> little bit of a petty, and that's not even editorializing. It's just a fact. You know petty reason to fire sports commissioner WHO's making. Between five and seven million dollars a year, and so he not only is disputing the facts of what was in the latter, his termination letter, but also that the xfl never gave him the thirty days. That's required in his contract to correct any issues that ownership is having, and so that is currently playing out in court. We'll see who wins on that or whether there is some kind of negotiation that occurs, but at the moment Oliver Luck seeking twenty three point eight million dollars from Vince McMahon, who can fill the contract that he signed in two thousand, eighteen to be the commissioner of the xfl.

Offices were being directed towards this twenty twenty one season and a lot of times towards the twenty twenty two seasons well, they were looking ahead, saying okay, here's what we want to do in twenty twenty one. Many people in the xfl on in the public to be an awfully little bit of a petty, and that's not even editorializing.

College football in the spring? It's yet another idea being floated

"So we don't know about the future college football this season obviously there's a lot of reports floating around to maybe games played in front of no fans Notre Dame's athletic director said he's not interested in playing games a frontal fans Mike Gundy wants games played right away yeah and Kerr Kerr free was kind of the dooms dayers suggesting that there was not gonna be college football played all this year well there is a new suggestion or theory that perhaps college football could be moved to the spring semester that kind of like spring sports you could have college football's start after the Superbowl February March April being your three months of the year you would play college football instead of September October November now I think we're a ways off from this being a reality but it's a contingency plan because you kind of have to fit in your sporting season two the semesters because you have student athletes there so morass I gotta say yeah we we've been frothing at the mouth for spring football and we've seen the XFL failing the alliance fail but wanted to wouldn't fail is spring college football and it would be hard to sit through the entire fall without it right by if we had college football on a platform to itself what you do is you're talking football from real games from the start of September through may the you would have a real football games significant important football games September October November December January and then roll into college football February March April may be into may you would be beside yourself and dare I say it on national championship game played on the weekend instead of a Monday because they don't have to worry about the NFL playoffs as well as a pay off at the end instead of playing the game until one AM on a Monday night how great would that be it be great I've always said this I I think the college football is obviously a monster but that the one thing that could make college football even a little bit better is if it moved away from the NFL schedule because then I would treat college football like the NFL in all the markets in major cities that have NFL teams and look it would take away the crisp traditional fall air and you know going back to school and all that stuff if you would turn

"The XFL had to shut down and that was not a surprise of course with everything that went on and all the sports stopping in the XFL couldn't continue their season it's a spring football situation that is very very difficult to be sustainable to begin with we thought that the XFL might have had a little bit more of a chance in the A. F. because the A. F. was basically built it with a house of cards and the XFL seem to have a lot smarter people in real broadcast deals that were happening but I wanna leave just getting started it didn't get off to the greatest start in the world I still was a real bad football in there and then all of a sudden everything comes to a halt they just weren't able to survive and right now they don't have any plans to continue we don't know if that's going to happen or not I would like to see how this whole season worked out for the XFL would have built some momentum but after the first couple of weeks it really wasn't capturing people's attention like they had hope that's for sure but you know what it was it was competitive football you know and it's something that we don't see right now because of this pandemic and I actually enjoyed some of the games and some of the players are actually signing NFL contracts because of what they did on the field for the except also you know from a pure job standpoint opportunity standpoint you know I'm I'm going to miss it I'm gonna miss it simply because it was well funded and Vince McMahon I want to make sure that this thing would have been a success it's just amazing what this pandemic is done and how it is ruined not only the XFL but think about how many small businesses out there that are hurting now geo and you think about all the people out there that are adversely affected by all of this not to mention the people that have lost loved ones so the the XFL goes by the wayside as to and just another spring football league that's not gonna make but not going to make it because of something that nobody saw ng and and everybody's reacting to it in a different way so I'm going to miss it I know it sounds ridiculous but it did give players other opportunities to show their stuff to NFL scouts into coaches and and it's going to give a couple players another opportunity at the big one so I I was all for it yeah who knows I mean maybe there's a chance this time next year if the economy is humming and the NFL season goes as as well as planned as we hope that it does have the XFL maybe starts up again I don't know it's not something I'm necessarily going to miss I do understand that it gave players an opportunity so a couple of their best players are going to get signed art have been signed medical teams I'll get an opportunity to play for professional football you know in the NFL but for me it was it was tough but I did give it a shot given its Scott multiple weeks I mean I was focusing on the New York team that was pretty bad had some rough spot bands going on there especially when you had Matt but going that was Startin we there was some interesting storylines of players having some fun being miked up but it's it's the it's not something I'm gonna miss it's just another if this this one is in fair to lump it in with the other spring football league that haven't succeeded but really it's just I mean it's so hard to do it's just so hard to have people getting into other football other than the NFL or college football needs damn near impossible the XFL's at the best shot but now we're not going to see them again probably forever so that this could be potentially the last time that we ever see a league try to start up and produce spring football I really believe that that if the XFL doesn't try to reignite next year or couple years we're just never going to see it again you know given the fact that April thirtieth seems to be the date that at least the federal government is talking about as to where we have to get to in this stay in and stay away from and isolation it's gonna be amazing to see what the TV ratings for ESPN and NFL network I guess they're gonna do a combined broadcast what those ratings are going going to be for the first night of the draft and the interest that's going to be in the draft it's always a highly rated show anyway but now with everybody shut in and sealed in can you imagine what the ratings are going to be on the draft it's gonna be it's got to be the greatest of all time it's it's gotta be the best ratings we've ever seen for a draft by you know ten fold I think I it's impossible for it not to be may I know it's gonna look different it will be consuming it differently because the virtual draft but it what the hell else are we doing I mean there's there's probably a good twenty percent of NFL fans couldn't watch it live if not more because of their work schedules or whatever it was that are now home because they've got no choice they're gonna be watching cell I think you're gonna see a major uptick in it's going to be fascinating to see how it all goes down but it's it's you know it's also you know we're talking about the first route you talk about the first half at that you know the team's gonna have to do this over the course of the three days I mean that this is going to be a long slog for these teams and unfortunately for them you don't work from the seventh round up to the first round the most important stuff starts right off the bat and you better have your bleep together or there's gonna be some problems you don't one of one of the best ideas that I heard and I and I'm not sure if I should attribute it to Adam Schefter first or whoever somebody came up with the idea that they should do each round per day and do it for a week and this way take kind of pressure off of everybody and also give us seven days of reality television yeah that is true I mean I I there forever around I hate sure is I'll be there for every round wooden you need I'd be there every round every pick you can will I will I would definitely be I would I would definitely be that's why I thought that was a good idea because I'm also you know when when the trade start happening in the communication that that's going to be like as you said the fascinating part of all of it I I just don't know how it's all going to be consumed or how they're going to show it on television I know that you and I in New York most likely will do a three hour draft show on WFAN when the draft is going on so people that are not in front of a a TV and can't stay up with it maybe we'll hear what we have to say about it but I don't know you know this this whole thing is it's got this got a chance to collapse in front of everybody yeah I'm tired now especially with all the warnings about the zoom if they if the I doubt they're going to use the zoom room but all the warnings about how in secure that particular V. D. I. T. part of that whole aspect that app is and I would wonder if the NFL is probably looking into doing some sort of kind of closed circuit in information system if they could that could not be hacked because you know somebody's gonna be trying to hack into this thing yet you have to figure out why oh sure of course I mean it's pretty people working on that right now the two people already trying to figure out how to get into Frank Reich's basement after we had a month and that's where said he was going to be sitting in a doing some of the work the draft but I look at our draft shows a way to supplement what you'll be looking at on TV where everybody's going to have it on TV seeing what's going on but for jets and giants fans it'll be listening to us on WFAN yeah we'll be right there breaking down the pics immediately and they will even take some calls right away as well to get some instant reaction to some we don't normally do during these graphs shows but why not this will be a little bit of a different one so I don't think people listen us in lieu of watching the draft I just kind of think that we're gonna be a supplement for them and be able to live reactions and opinions on everything that's going on as it unfolds all right let's go to the calls here eight five five two one two four CBS.

"Seven. Xfl teams will have forty man rosters as opposed to fifty three for NFL. Teams Like I said there yeah. It's I mean thirteen players Which I assume is the salary thing like I said there are eight official teams with. There's also something called the team nine which I'll get to There's ten weeks of regular season for team playoffs. Five minutes So in the playoffs before teams. So I got. I don't really know how the playoffs work with our how many teams are in the NFL. But people have you. I actually stumbled upon regular season game. I think it was like last week or two weeks and it was. It was interesting I watched a little bit of it The play was faster. They the other thing they also did. They would like interview players like on the sidelines. Do see that no I. That sounds like something they might have done before But so yeah I mean the. The speed of play was much faster. I also felt like there was a lot of passing plays. I mean they were trying to do their best to make the game exciting but again it's like I think it all comes down with this league is like do you care you like do you give a crap about you know. I think I was watching the Carolina. Something play the? I don't even know who the teams were raw. Let me add. Lighten you There are eight teams Dallas Renegades in Dallas Texas the DC defenders in Washington DC the Houston roughnecks also in Texas so Texas has two teams the L. A. wildcats The New York Guardians. The Saint Louis Battle Hawks the Seattle dragons and the Tampa Bay vipers. Let's say I say North Carolina so I think it was the DC defenders. I was watching And I forget the other team. I don't know who the other team was While yeah I mean. The thing is it's like if you take you know. Houston for example. They already have a football team. You Take Saint Louis off you take Seattle the Seattle seahawks. That is the kind of Rub. It's like okay. I'm Seattle Seahawks Fan. I watched their season. Am I gonNA care about the dragons? Like a mega watch that and maybe some will. Apparently Seattle has a big market for soccer. So apparently they kinda feel the xfl that you know. They'll be into this 'cause they I don't know I'm not really sure what the connection is but since soccer does well apparently they feel like they have a bigger market even though Seattle's not a very big city Yeah I mean you know I was. I took my boys to A. I think it's a G. League now. Which is the minor leagues of the NBA? Trying to create this to like basketball and that Guy Taco fall you know who that guy is Taco fall played on the Boston? Celtics really tall guys. I think he's like seven two seven three. Maybe seven six is really really tall so he was. He's playing in the in the in the G. League which is the minor leagues for the NBA. This was at Nassau Coliseum in Long Island and the the Minor League team I think for the Brooklyn Nets The New York something. I can't remember what it was cosmo's or something else but it the stands were empty. There was like may be at. The game was definitely under a thousand people. It was a couple hundred people watching this and this guy. These guys are like on the cusp of going into the NBA or have been in the NBA in our out. It's just the attendance is abysmal. Wall that's nothing. There were talking about on W. E. I is where these guys are playing. 'cause they are trying to be a little smarter and find like smaller. Arenas 'cause they're they're getting a bowed in attendance physical attendants like out. I forget who they were talking about. Then something like twenty five thousand people and you don't want twenty five thousand people in Gillette Stadium because the place looks empty. So they're trying to find stadiums places to play maybe even like really good high school arenas because like Texas and those places their high schools have serious Arenas played there so it kind of feels even if you're watching it on TV. It feels like there's a crowd there as opposed to lying right like apparently the New York guardians are playing at the. What's it called the Metlife Stadium in New Jersey? That's a big stadium I know and they're saying this is a mistake. Like first of all just take New York. You have the New York giants and you have New York jets. Is Anybody going to care about the near Guardians you know I mean and then? They're playing in Metlife Stadium and if there's twenty five thousand there. The place looks empty. Which just doesn't do a lot for the you know the vision right. Yeah I think like Nassau Coliseum can hold like twenty thousand or something right so there was these smart to play you know in a place like that as opposed to plus you playing outdoors you playing in February. You know I mean the winter hasn't been too bad but it can get real. I mean it was called last couple of days and you know well I mean look where these teams are rice. Seon Young St- in La. Right you know. I guess like New York Seattle Saint Louis you know their Tampa Bay. I mean most of them are warm. Climate teams right. So there's There's eight teams and then there's a team nine in. It is just called team nine and this is like a reserve group of players. It's forty players. Who If someone else gets injured on say the Houston roughnecks? They can in in some sort of process grab from TAME team nine to replace that player so They're kind of an extra squad of hopefuls. So that might that sort of the minor league team sort of in this like they're kinda habit and it's it's it's a pretty smart thing to do. Yeah all right so Just to give an example of costs the tickets for the Dallas Houston game The cheapest tickets I found. Were twenty four dollars the most expensive one hundred and thirty eight so you know. I I mean that's pretty. It's pretty reasonable. Yeah cost wise. You know I mean I'm probably not going to go to an xfl game. I know one person who went to a game in two thousand one. He said he felt he was lucky. He got out of there without getting his ass kicked. He said the crowd was so bad. They were fight. Their frights everywhere. It was just dislike said it was it was. It was unconscious mayhem. Yau's mayhem and I think he said he was going to bring his son and he was glad he didn't because he was just real out a bad as so. I don't know if they've tried to address that because I think that turned a lot of people off so twenty four dollars. Two hundred thirty eight dollars now money for the players. I'll get into more of what Some other sources said about star power because this is also an issue. Like who in the XFL? Does anybody WANNA watch you know. There's no Tom Brady. There's no Patrick meringues things like that. But it's only a it's a new. It's a new league in that could develop that star. That is true. That's true now. The average salary is fifty five thousand dollars for a player. That's pretty low. Yeah that's a combination of the guaranteed base salary Which would amount to one thousand forty dollars per week plus bonuses for being active on game days and being on a winning team that is according to pro football. Talk so I guess I guess it's fifty five. Maybe I guess the the other stuff is on top of all that so fifty five thousands about what you're looking at if you're just kind of Joe Smith not a not a starter..

I'm talking about Las Vegas outlaws. The New York New Jersey Heaven Two thousand one johnny-come-latelies stuff but we're talking twenty twenty. It's but let's take a look at the two thousand one one version the XFL much better play highly technical stuff all. Thank you for more than I was expecting that. We're looking for short answer. I was kind of hoping hoping to keep the moving. I keep the Sagar get Outta here. So that's aerial. How long are Ma expert which she come from? Why shaam bag and on back? I'm back to convince you that the NFL's important and the XFL Matt. It matters stabbed. Because I've been standing by seething as you have pooh-poohed this league accusing us all of corporate toadies for enjoying football. God forbid but it also matters and for reasons that I think are pertinent to your bleeding heart. Okay which is you. Talk About Joe Borough and how he'd perform against XFL teams the XFL could be a viable landing spot for college quarterbacks. There's already a Saint Saint Louis Battle Hawk a former all big twelve safety Kenny Robinson who was dismissed from college and is playing in the XFL making money. This is a real option. quarterbacks in this league make hundreds of thousands of dollars so we could see the next Trevor Lawrence. There will never see the next Trevor Lawrence their jet you're on ESPN radio. Give me better analysis than that. Jed Okay there is no way that the XFL team could be Lsu. I mean the the the defense is they're just not good enough now the offense with tear them up. It's as simple as that. It is as simple as that new gods that it wasn't called Jed Jed. What do you can't even watch the exit of I feel like half the people were coming in here and just creaming? This leak. Haven't even wash including Dan on. It's actually pretty good people but Joe Borough would shred that defense. Sure you're on. ESPN radio instead of me. What do you have Joshua what's going don't dvr every XFL game? And I have watched them repeatedly and I'm telling you the XFL teams would just utterly the Lsu team not even close. It wouldn't be fair. That was good man Tom. He knows what he's talking about. Jason you're on. ESPN CBS radio. Jason go ahead. What's up guys so the battle hawks can fly over? Lsu Tigers so obviously they would beat the tiger agars because the Tigers can't jump up and get. I'm sorry Jason I gotTa Get rid of you. We've got field. Yates breaking in from his. Get her out of here field. Yates now coming from his honeymoon. What do you have for us feel bad but spending most of my honeymoon thinking about who would win this matchup between Lsu and the top XFL team very very much the entirety my trip so far LSU landslide? You kidding me. Tigers ridiculous to to tell her no field have you been watching. XFL On your honeymoon. Honest I'll probably wrong. Thank you guys back down. I just scared at the MENAS. XFL yipping just barking at people making them not and not give us the truth. Pablo Tori of high noon ex every Pablo fell against Lsu who wins best XFL team so the XFL is in. Christ I mean one of the things that you need to realize that the excess values at the act like does that still Stanford Stream. What does extreme about this as as football? What are they even doing to me? When you really think about what a minor league supposed to be? Yeah the X.. What does that even supposed to? They're taking the label from an old thing putting it on a new thing so to act. LSU can be the next F. L. Team I guess so because none of the XFL teams are actually XFL all teams. What's extreme about any of these teams? None of them even qualify for the League that they plan this is. This is bothersome conversation because nobody often tell me what it stands for. Here's the thing Pablo can you name an XFL player. WHO's not a quarterback? Oh yeah there's there's Adam Outta here. Pablo took.

"On the cold air the XFL debuts this weekend I watched a lot of it to be honest I watched two entire games and then I watched pieces of the there too still way more XFL than I was planning on watching quick love hate or like don't like for the XFL I like the extra points I like the fact that no points are just give in to teams every point is earned I dig that I don't like the kickoffs I don't I think they're really they're not aesthetically pleasing it's really awkward it's gonna take a lot of getting used to to get on board with the kickoffs not a fan of the kickoffs yet one thing that I did like this weekend I like the access I like the idea that after dudes throw interceptions they have to answer for it I like that we get to hear the play calls I even like as much as I despise video replay I do like that we hear the conversation and it helps us understand better why replay officials are looking at what they're seeing and what they're discussing so I love the access but at the same time I don't like the access and here's what I mean by that out of all the player interviews that were done how many of them were actually like good and I and I just wonder I know the XFL in the W. W. E. are supposed to be separate when it be great if some of those people at the W. W. E. who coach up these wrestlers on how to create a persona and I'm not saying that these players need to do that he hate me thing I'm just saying a little media relations one no one like Hey guys you're gonna have a microphone in your face every single game let's have something interesting to say something insightful because in the NFL the guys that don't our great on the might guess what we don't hear from them unless their quarterback or unless they were vitally important to their team's success in that game we don't talk to them but in the XFL everyone is going to get a shot to say something and I would I would it would be a better product if these guys were coach stub GS a smidgen on their answers to these kind of questions overall I thought it was a B. or B. minus they got me for another week I do think they need star power I really do and I didn't see a lot of stars maybe Cardale Jones Nelson spruce let's talk about the buffs on another note here about Nelson spruce hundred over a hundred yards receiving so there were some bright spots certainly from a player perspective Matt McGloin so maybe these guys will couple it with another good week and then all the sun will get three or four guys that we tune in for there's only eighteen so if we can get three or four guys that are worth watching in the XFL that accounts for every single game on the schedule but to me I think the novelty of the rule changes will wear off and it's going to be left with how good is the product on the field how good is the broadcast product I thought that fox did a much better job than ESPN did I still think this week is going to run into problems weeks three four five six the moving forward because the curiosity factor will be gone but maybe this weekend was a feeling out period now they can have better broadcast they can have better interviews and maybe they can hype up some of the players that were pretty good and by the way the XFL I'm a lot of ways is like where John Elway's decisions go to die like seriously where he more dealing day there's like eight or nine former Broncos that we're playing this weekend in the XFL sure something that John Elway is very very proud of our quickly here story number three if they don't score here it's over Booker jump shot Mr rebound down here so we can it's got a break going sixteen.

"Some dogs out there. Training isolated out there in space. made the catch this kind of course regular just to run back give him the ball. XFL Football. What's wrong here? But I loved that part of the game and the guy so I was about to tell you I liked it. Yeah because one out of every three or four interviews the players would actually offer you the insight into something that happened on the field. The you know the kind of interview that athletes should always do. Explain what you're doing. And that is what athletes are good at. They're experts at doing doing this. I've made this argument before you want to get a good interview out of an athlete. Ask Him to describe physically and mentally what he's actually doing or she's actually doing on the field and in this case tastes there was one interview I think it was a pick made by one of the DC defenders Logic Campbell. Is that the guy you're talking regime more. He talked about reading being the quarterback's eyes and made the interception. And that's just really good. That's like hey this is exactly what happened and I learned something about how football players play. The the ones that I saw were all exceedingly boring. I mean maybe it was just the luck of the draw. But it's like when you're watching an NFL Gamer college game. Are you ever like what I want. More four of the post game player interviews where they say that we really left it all out on the field. I mean the thing that feels additive to me is hearing the coaches call in the plays and then you hear an analysts. Say All right. They're saying they're gonNA send three receivers to the weak side and they're going to run it shallow cross us and then And that's useful. It's like we can all feel like Tony Romo where we know. What's coming? Do I wanna hear what that sounds like. We have sheriff of Jim Zone of the Seattle dragons. Electric giant can't wait.

I thought honestly it was some version. Photoshop how is this possible from this distance to get that Don sub. That's pretty impressive. From outside the three point line even if it's silly mascots and thrown by cheerleaders you gotTa admit that's impressive impressive over raid it. "Of the XFL pal it is getting too it is under way and I'd like to Jonathan yesterday I love the first game DC Seattle it was well done on an ABC well produced by ESPN that was a lot of fun and now on top of that we get to watch a mark trust been lead Tampa Bay vipers being crushed on the road versus the New York guardians now seventeen to three in the game currently airing on file so I mean look it's the first weekend there's always a lot of excitement and enthusiasm but there's a lot of things that I've seen here the last two days that gives me hope that the XFL is something that can be sustained now going for for the rest of their season I think it's wonderful that entirely different audience now can they really be able to understand and be able to enjoy the ineptitude of Marc Trestman you seen this in the NFL level and now you'll be able to in the XFL level so you know that this is a far cry from the XFL that we saw years ago the childish and a cartoonish cameras in in the cheerleaders locker room and kind of a dumb unnecessary violence in the bad football that we saw back then this you always know that if it's a Vince McMahon product when ESPN product that's going to be saw production number one but number two would really resonates with me are the stories because on what their stories in the NFL for sure in the XFL's a little bit different because this is almost like last chance you in which a lot of these guys that had a number of injuries or they've had been on the in the NFL for five years in trying to have that next chance to play in the NFL playing the XFL so I think the story line to stories are being told are pretty great because the the little nuances that their unveiling the second time around these are actually interesting things like being able to listen and when they're having instant replay what are they seeing what are they talking about hearing the head coaches you know call the plays everyone being miked up I think having the players all being miked up with the natural sound of the ambiance is pretty cool I mean do you gain a lot by talking to someone on the bench after a play is made I mean sometimes it's a bad play there could be some good pay off from that so I'm not necessarily saying like that all of the new elements that they're introducing are things that I want to see in the NFL one day what I mean absolutely take you behind the scenes a little more in a locker room access at halftime before games here what the coaches are saying and just not being afraid of of giving up any sort of you know competitive advantage over the kind of short you Jonathan things that I think the average football fan wants to see and things quite frankly they find interesting yeah it's the access that you want to know it's broken down that fourth wall that's always been there in sports it's one thing to be able to watch the game but what are the coach and the quarterback really thinking about what is really going on the sidelines after kicker misses a kick so what happens to that kicker what's going through that character's mind we able to get access to all of that but I'll say this with some of these sideline reports after something happens to a player Jeff they're great sound bites but also could be a little bit invasive a little bit intrusive I think because it's on that razor's edge of that if someone's going through a very tough time you got a my chameleon that players face you know in the NFL you know went to the game is over but when something happens immediately and then here comes a silent for so would you think you just missed the kick what was going through my I mean so I know that these players Muslim have to get used to that but it can be a little bit much are because if a player starts going off no I don't know if you want that on live TV not when there wasn't you know and I bomb dropped yesterday this was a slanderous sini caught up with the Seattle dragons Dillon day on the sidelines and a whole liberty ensued I.

"About the XFL tonight because it every everything like it's hard to explain how powerful this league could really be and I know just think invents it's a developmental league it's a project it's already failed before so what's the big deal well yeah you know there's a lot of leads in the film there's a long list of it I mean really I can think of like eight off the top of my head that have failed but FOR leaves like this there are notable players to come out of it guys can survive and the military is I get it I have to say the greatest kicker of all time maybe the number of super bowls clutch kicks that he's been a part of his track record he's amazing right Adam very Terry played in NFL Europe Kurt Warner played in NFL Europe James Harrison played in NFL Europe all of those guys hell with the old XFL Tommy Maddox was the league MVP that year he started for the Steelers for a little while there was rod smart he hate me he played the NFL for a couple years so guys come out of these leaks guys can be really successful I think Cameron wake great player for the dolphins CFO so for what that's worth other tangent to league smaller leaks successful or not can really influence the NFL can provide talent to the NFL and also provide rule changes for the XFL didn't get rid of the extra point you can't kick an extra point you have to go for one point from the two yard line that's the easiest place that you can do with the two point conversion effectively get you one point you can go for two from the five you can go for three from the ten if you're gonna tell me that the NFL isn't looking at that rule and fascinated about how it plays out you're out of your mind you completely delusional is it radical yeah is it far more exciting than an extra point you know it and so they're gonna look at that how does that will play out how does it work even for the league just works for this season they're gonna have all of those different attempts that they can watch on film how did it go how defect the game is this function we experiment with it absolutely going to be doing that and so leads like this matter legal like this the XFL right here right now can change the NFL's we know what as the a BA introduced the three point shot and that's dominated the NBA the USFL brought about the two point conversion an instant replay and that's all over the NFL right now so other leagues could have that kind of impact the going back to talent and what can talent do what kind of telling can the XFL generate well here's the other kind of thing I think about because when you look at the NFL my biggest problem with the NFL talent pool is we don't realize how limited it is I've got basketball highlights play in front of me right now and what do I see I see a guy from Germany I see a guy from Spain you see guys that are from France you see guys from a bunch of different countries in Africa and to have a global game like that and get the best players in the world soccer gets the best players in the world that's a massive benefit for the NFL they don't have any of those guys not really you get a very very very small talent pool internationally you get the XFL you can start to develop those guys there you can give them a chance because it's tough to go to an NFL roster I mean think about it never playing football your life hardly playing football in your life playing it against other guys that are baby just learning the sport you're not gonna be as good as those college players even the bad college players you might have more talent but you're not refined enough you don't have enough experience you'll have enough exposure just watching the game playing it on Madden whatever it is understanding the game in your head and so to have something like the XFL were international guys who want to get in because what you see once in a while this is really cool you get guys who are great Olympic athletes their limbic wrestlers there guys in the decathlon their shot porters like all these different incredible athletes to like you know what I'll try football I wanna make a lot of money Australian rules football players rugby players all these guys take cracks here and there but they typically don't pan out because you can get somebody who's more refined and better now and your job is dependent on what he now you get to the XFL you get some time who knows maybe we get a lot more great projects unbelievable success stories your Kurt Warner's of the new era through the XFL so I'm excited about that what I think it's really important I think you can make the game better terms of better talent better rules all that different stuff I love the XFL right now I'm I'm very excited about the product I've seen already football is a little limited but the rules are good the theory is good the broadcast is good so I'm really into the XFL if you enjoy the show to talk about it eight five five two.

"Nineteen year absence and with an attempt to find a spot on the sports landscape Oliver luck is the commissioner of the XFL but there's there's really not much similarity to what we saw for one season nearly two decades ago there's nothing that this link has in common with the original XFL we've focused one hundred percent on really good quality football great coaches you mentioned guys like Bob and pep Hamilton and Marc Trestman plate we think we've got the best four hundred and fifty or so players who aren't under contract to another professional football league so it's all about the quality of the game we're doing this for the love of the game and the quality that will have come February eighth and nine for kickoff weekend was it will be remarkably different than what we saw back in two thousand one gonna be so much fun to watch how should this league be viewed in relation to the NFL all over so the NFL's an awesome week we view ourselves really as a compliment not as competition were playing in the spring it's a time when there is no football everybody's in this national depression or national funk you know because Super Bowl in them then there is you know no football watch so how we aim to change that we aim to fix that so we're really a compliment to the National Football League what role innovations are you most excited to see implemented because there's a lot of cool ones here well there are a couple that I really like one is the extra point options that a coach has a you scored touched on you get six points we all understand that very traditional but then you have an option to go for one to go for two or to go for three they're all plays from scrimmage of course one point from the two yard line two point from the five and then three point from the tent that's all about strategy so we as fans love the second guess our culture's role Monday morning quarterback so I think this one is going to be a lot of fun the other one that I really like is the fact we've got a twenty five second play clock so contrast that with the forty second play clock in the NFL and that will mean that we'll have a fast paced up tempo game just a lot of action it's almost as if you're watching a three hour two minute drill because we really think our teams and be plain fast you mentioned some of the big name coaches which players should fans be keeping an eye on in the XFL I'm sorry I'm I'm looking forward to watching a couple of guys Cardale Jones the quarterback for the DC defenders you know if he can recapture the magic that he had during that great Ohio state run a number years back when they won the national championship that's pretty cool there a couple receivers in Texas one in Houston Sammie Coates that I really like unbelievable talent and then jazz Ferguson who's a receiver up in Dallas another great talented guy he's playing into of both those guys are playing into very high powered offense June Jones in Houston with the run and shoot and of course Bob stoops offense of coordinator in Dallas is hell money who is the architect of the air raid so you can imagine how many balls will be in the air when those two teams tee it up I love it okay you're the XFL commissioner but you're also injure lex dad how's he enjoying retirement thank you he's join retirement a lot he and his wife had their first child about three months ago so he's being a dad and is healthy is a very happy and and and enjoying retirement I I'm envious of them Oliver luck commissioner of the XFL.

"Thing. I should take the time to write. I should've took time to write a script. I should've took the time to ghost write. I took the time to do all the things that successful writers do in moments like this because I want to be successful than moments like. There's even dorm not a writer. Logistic all it out and just push it to the side and come back around and say let's keep things simple. Let's keep things simple and that's what I did not right. And that's why I didn't take the time. And that's why an input in all these other other other efforts that comes about at times in moments like this can not happen. It did not take place in the main reason. Why because it's gotta be kept simple in keeping things? Simple is jess doing what you need to do doing what you've said he was going to do and that is yes. You heard it. You heard it. I heard it the all not is. We've already four some. Just go ahead and repeat it be innovative be created. Go ahead and do all the things that you know. They want to do that. They want to do that. They would like to do. Just go into all those things. Just go ahead and do a test it out. See if it works to see what works. What doesn't Work Dan? They can just Kawada Agency say oh it works there. We can work it here. Oh it works there. We can do it they. Have you just continue to do that if you continue to? Just don't worry about the quality because we all know. Quality does not matter in moments like this. There's another league. There is a another league inequality is very very suspect very suspect but the ratings the ratings upon the ratings eyeballs up to the little fans or air quotes fanatics. They still enjoy. They still watch no judge zone or wait a minute. No judge zone four inches on. Go forward not hurting anybody. Four qualities or quality out there rather quality. You're not challenging the other Lee even though I know you on even though most we're probably think that I have an agenda here most. Were probably think that. Hey y you know the reason why you are starting out with the xfl because you have so much disdain for the NFL. No no no. No No. No no no go back reviewed historical documents. And then after you do that. We'll have a conversation until then the thing about the xfl is the league will decide if it succeeds to fail heartache. Nah just a conversation. Ooh No don't forget it's short straight to the point. I don't see the XFL having a quality problem if they are able to market the market. Right I mean if they push innovator innovation do things the NFL can't do these. Nfl wants to do things NFL. WanNa do but can't do just yet I think says beliefs for that. I think there's a place for the along until then moving along but this isn't about challenging that league this isn't about challenging that system. This is about just being in a data is about being creative. Stick TO CREATIVE. You will be fine. Keep it simple. Kiss Kiss Service with the. Xfl was well worth it NFL. "Donating your time to this to this podcast art, let us start with. Let's start with the XFL and let last week the XFL announced that more than half of its games will be on broadcast television as part of the deals that they announced with FOX ESPN as I creep here from John wall. Randy freaking gusty multi year deal calls for twenty four of the XFL's forty three games to be on broadcast television, thirteen on ABC eleven on FOX and that will include to Thursday, primetime games on FOX in April of twenty twenty just so the audience knows John random, the sports business daily reported that the deal will result that no rights to the XFL. So these networks and not paying the XFL any rights money. They will the networks pay for the production costs of the games. Which will probably amount to around a half million four hundred thousand dollars the networks will sell ads, and that's how they'll make their money. So that gives you an overview, and so Ben I want to start with you. You know, we're just coming off the af folding and now here's as spring football league, which is going to debut in twenty twenty and it has if nothing else some major major broadcast partners. How did you view this? This XFL announcement last week. I'm sure XFL would probably not prefer the lens of how do you? How do you look at this without thinking about the af, but you know, the graveyard littered with the corpses of spring football leagues, you know, whether it's the previous XFL or the af or you know, the US fell years ago. So I think there's you know, some skepticism, but the media deals pretty good. I mean, they're going to be the exposure twenty four broadcast games on Saturday afternoon and the consistent timeslot, I think. They described this as the you know, the best media deal for startup week. And I mean that seems pretty fair. So I mean, at least from a visibility standpoint, if you wanna watch football you wanna see this leagues he will not have to look very far. And so visibility wise. It's it's it's pretty good. What does that mean for the long term viability the league? I'm not sure question Hannah. Again, this sort of the same view. Then is correct. I mean to get FOX ESPN off the bat for league that has not played, you know, single down yet is a pretty big co. To see the news initially. It's not skepticism on the heels of a folding. Once he got into the house of the deal and self. I think there's a lot more room for growth here with with Balkany beefy coming in, you know, they'll be on broadcast television as opposed to a was bouncing between CBS NFL network Turner, these games people even just tuning into ESPN ABC turn into Mexico game. Even if my attention and get a feel for the league this year. So I think it is a bit of a trial period with. No, right Steve being attached to the deal. And I think that will definitely could help XFL to stabilize itself this season. One of the things I always think about is the spring football as a media play one is the interest there in term. Terms of people interested in this product to watch. And then Secondly, if there are people like what's the ceiling on the amount of people, and this'll be for both you and and Hannah, it's it's sort of goes beyond a media question into what do you think of spring football just sort of as an entity? And then if he expanded as an entity with potential interest. I don't know what the specific figure is. But if you look at the proliferation of college football bowl games, you know, the last ten fifteen years, you've got games all through December. You know, you know, with ridiculous names like the beef jerky, Jack, wink, whatever they are. Right. These are not games with marquee football teams. Right. You've got six six gay teams from sunbelt conference going to Birmingham to play. You know, another six and sixteen from some conference..
