Well, it's been a legend for many years that beer goggles make other people seem better Now there's a new study. Yes, they did a study about this to see if science backs it up. In the University of Pittsburgh study, 18 pairs of guys in their 20s were brought to a lab for a two -day study. They'd rate the attractiveness of women in photos and videos and say whether they'd want to see them again. On one day of the study, the drinking buddies got just cranberry juice. "Incorrect, Kim Chris wins zone. Chris. I'm not on the list. Nowhere near nowhere near the list. Can I tell you the other players I was thinking about? Yes. Redeem yourself. I was thinking Simona Halep, but I think there might be a bit early for her. No, Simona Halep would also have been an incorrect answer, Chris. What about. Sara errani on my list? So ironic. Yeah, sorry, irani number 6 in the rankings. And one more player in the top ten. No one got any ideas. We've spoken about her recently, actually, petrova. It's not but portrayer is on the list at number 12. I was talking about whose number four in the rankings, agnieszka, rad vanska. Oh, that is bad. We should have got that. She's been everywhere this week. So you could have had I was trying to think he got to the slam fire. I'll go from one to 20. You could have had Azarenka, Sharapova, Serena Williams, advanced Kerber, irani, Lee nar, Petra kvitova, Sam Stosur, Caroline wozniacki, Marion Bartoli, Nadia petrova, and Ivanovich, Maria kirilenko, Dominika cibulkova, Roberta Vinci, Lucy savage, Julia gerges, kaia kanepi, and the final one macro rover of Russia. Now which macaroni was that is that the one who's playing now? The older. That would make sense. Not the one with the same name, who they like the year of birth. But ask where the inspiration came for this bonjour. This seems rather unusual. I don't know, I just felt, you know, 2012, it was the time that tennis was in London for the Olympics and for me that was a very fun year on the tour. There were lots of big names on the WTA Tour and I just wanted to relive past glories. Excellent. I quite like those. Memory lanes. Yeah. Excellent. I love it. And although I lost, I think we both did pretty well. So well done us. Let's have a look at what's in the mailbag this week, because we have got a lovely email from David, who has asked us, hi guys, it seems like a lot more players are withdrawing from matches and tournaments and getting injured. What do you think is behind this? So quite an interesting and thought provoking question from David. Thank you for getting in touch. Joel, let's start with you. What do you think might be the reason for the well, the seeming increase in withdrawals? Because it does seem to be quite a lot these days, isn't there? Yeah, I think first of all, I think just the game in general has got a lot more physical, particularly on the men's tour and I think that physicality. There's been ushered in bi players like by like Rafa Nadal. I think has led to more led to more withdrawals and injuries. I also think that there's just loads of tennis on the calendar. And I feel like some players might feel pressured into playing events whether that's for sponsorship or for prize money or ranking points and again, they might not necessarily be fully fit. The season is January to November. It is very, very long. And putting so much wear and tear and pressure on your body, considering the court surfaces as well. It's not very forgiving and I think if you don't pick your schedule and know your limitations that we've seen the big players, I think, especially do over the years, thinking about Andy Murray and how he picks and chooses events. I think it can, it can get very demanding on you very, very quickly. And again, I think that's another reason why we're seeing, I think, more injuries in generally. Yeah, and also I was thinking, maybe players are just better aware of when they should reach their limits and call it a bit of a day, whereas before they might have just wanted to have plowed on, but there's a bit more of a self care attitude like when they do get to that point and they're not feeling great. It's like actually I need to look after my body and maybe that's a healthier attitude when you do find that there's issues. Maybe it's a post COVID thing, more germs going around, like that we're not already immune to because we're not traveling for a while. I don't know. There's the whole load of things. A lot of sponsorship activity, of course, as well. Like you mentioned, there's a lot more demands. Chris, what do you think? What's your what's your two penne on this? Why do you think that there might be more withdrawals than normal, more injuries, perhaps happening? Yeah, I think a lot of players didn't really take an off season in the traditional way. We've seen a lot more activity that is taken to the sponsorship. There's a lot more money on the line, a lot more kind of pressures to be on the court as much as possible. Something that struck me about this about this question particularly, some of the quotes from players about the tennis balls they've been playing with having lots of difficulties with them, especially when it's come to their wrists and Medvedev was very vocal on this this week. And I think he didn't really want to be one of those players that moans about the balls.

"All right, so congratulations. You know, on making it to this point. You know, one of the things that I look at young players is sometimes young players set their goals too low. And they say, oh, you know, I'm just gonna get some experience, get some experience. And a lot of times that becomes an excuse to lose. But when I heard when I hear you speak, you always talk about winning while improving. Who put that in your mind? Because I think that's a mindset that I wish more young players would have. Like, don't use, I'm gonna get more experience, or I need to get some matches as an excuse to bail out of a match. Like, try to win while you're improving. We'll put that in your mind. Yeah, I think it's a thanks to my coach and my mom at the same time because, you know, as a player and you know, if you ask me, I always want to win. But I think it's a fine balance. And in practice and in matches you need to think about the improvement because if you just think about winning all the time, you're gonna play probably the wrong tennis, that is not gonna help you in the future. And as I said, it's a balance, you know? It's difficult, but it's definitely the right thing to do. And yeah, I mean, you know, actually actually after yesterday where I wanted to win so badly and maybe for thought about winning too much today I took into my mind just to, you know, there's no point in this. There's no anything, so just improve the game. It's free matches. It's a great event. You know, it's a lot of fun. And you know, playing in front of the crowd just make a good match and get the best out of it. And usually when you think that way, you also get the win. So that's just a bonus. So you grew up in Denmark, which is not really known for like tennis prowess, right? You see a lot of countries produce a lot of good juniors because they had somebody that they looked up to, like, all these look up to Leighton and rod laver, et cetera. So who did you look up to? I mean, actually, the most famous player from Denmark that I know is Caroline wozniacki, right? And I know Switzerland is not too far from Denmark. But who did you look up to to sort of push you and get you to aspire to that? And Danish player? Yeah. No one actually. I'm sorry to say I looked up to roger and Rafa when I was young. That was kind of my I can send this, actually. But yeah, I mean, I think Bosnia, if I should say someone, I looked a bit up to her because I think to see a Danish player do so well because as she said, we're not known to have any tennis players. And then Mike, so it's great to see that the Danish tennis player can do so well and become a Grand Slam champion and be number one in the world. So if I should say a Danish person, I would say her for sure. Well now you want to Clara toss and I both like that you're setting a new bar. You know, you guys are putting Denmark on the map. It's getting better. So let me ask you, I first got to know you because I always saw you on a practice court. I mean, at one point, I thought you were like, you know, the professional hitter that they show up at the time is because you're practicing with no bad. And with everybody, I was like, man, this dude is like a machine. It can stay out there. So since you have had the chance to hit with all the top players, right? Or the Monte Carlo, whatever. I want you to put together the best player. I need you to tell me who's forehand with your steel okay. Who's backhand with your steel? Who's first served in second serve, right? Because you know it's a big difference. Whose volleys, who's short game, since you've had a you have an up close and personal look would almost everybody in the top ten. Yeah. Okay, let's start with forehand. I'll take probably barenton is forehand. That's a good one. That's a good one. It's very back end. Serious? No offense, Novak. No offense, Novak. You know what? No big is gonna come. I would say return nobody for sure. For sure. So much pressure when you serve against him. Yeah. And on the surf I mean, our practice with the guys like swerve Tito past the serve amazing, but the guy I played in matches, I would actually say sonic was the one serving best I've ever played. He saved incredible. So fast so precise. So I would say, you know, for me, he's the best survive I've ever played. Okay. What about retriever? We got a lot of the athletes on the tour now. Are so athletic so quick, way more physical than in the past. Who do you feel puts the most pressure on opponents or even on you in a practice match? From a retrieving standpoint that made the court feel so small. Novak for sure. Yeah. He makes you run so much. It's incredible because he doesn't out power you like which shots he just plays so precise. And you almost run from the double line to the double line, like every shot, he plays angles. He plays deep line and you know, as many of you saw, I started cramping already in the third set, and you know, I played 91 matches this year and like four of them 30. So it's not that I don't have a good shape. So he really makes you run. All right, so I have had the chance to spend a lot of time with Brandon nakashima, right? And I think other than Novak, he got one of the best backhands. Definitely one of the most upcoming backhands. But the question I asked him, when I first met Brandon, last year world team, tennis, he had a thousand Instagram followers. Now he's got 11,000. For you, as you're hitting with people, your star has risen the attention on you as resident, even though you're still new on the tour, you became popular 'cause you're on these photos with all these cool players. I got a question for you. You complete the 5th if you don't want if you want to. Okay. Lot of young, good up and coming players on the women's tour. Who's the cutest? Yeah, I didn't want to answer that. I wasn't going to sign up. Smart man. Maybe in a few years I'll answer that. That's a smart man. You know what, even though you knew you asked a question boy, that's a good one, brother. Thank you. Well, I thank you for coming on the coming on, give me this time to spend with you man and good luck man. I always enjoy watching you, I enjoy watching you practice. And then now I'm enjoying seeing you compete tomorrow good luck against Brandon. Although I'm gonna be honest with you. I'm rooting for Brandon. Dude, it's okay, it's okay. I have my fence here. It's fine. All right. Thank you, man appreciate it. All right, brother, good to see you. Thank you, buddy..

"And yet they're gonna get pushed already because you've got a cane. Ooh now you've got lay the fernandez clearly in the mix players like a clara toss. Who beat rod new in chicago. You know two weeks ago and has already one to wti titles this season and then by the way you want to hear something crazy. Cocoa gov is actually still younger. I i don't know why. Actually she was always has always been younger than both radically new and fernandez suit. It's just like and we all expect such big things cocoa gov which already made a quarterfinal already one. Wt titles already been top. You know twenty five sort of player. Add two more into that mix right away into the ecosystem amerada. Keanu is that good hits the backhand with ease when she has time to set on the forehand lookout can change directions off both wings is fluid out of her. Corners is a reluctant but competent. Volleyer more than fine. She just the way. She springs her legs into the serve. The way she keeps her back swings condensed on the return of serve. She can do it all and so again when we look at this matchup for rod kanye moving forward in the final against leyla fernandez. Two players playing with house money. And i posited this theory and this worming to end the show. Because i gotta go do some knoxville stuff. So i do apologize again for the lack of complete Analysis like we've had on some of her past recaps but it's interesting to note you know the players ages twenty two to twenty eight. Get to Know Lindsey Vonn

"Heard last week's episode cows good time to go back and check it out. We collect, introduce yourself I am when's Yvonne? I won the Olympics in downhill skiing I'm from Minnesota and I am currently engaged to peek a SU- ban of the New Jersey devils and have three dogs slap makes you a rebel girl I mean I'm a rebel girl because I've always followed my dreams and a really high goals for myself and I think that's what being a rebel really means you know striving for greatness and being the best that you can be. Simone had to make some hard decisions in order to proceed gymnastics. What were some hard decisions you had to make on your way to becoming an Olympic skier I? Think every athlete honestly has to make hard decisions especially if you WANNA be in Olympia and I'm the oldest of five kids and my parents had to decide. To our entire family to Colorado from Minnesota and so that was a huge sacrifice for my whole family But we all did it together and I wouldn't have made it without their support, but it was definitely a a really difficult time for all of us. Tell us about the work you're doing with the lose Yvonne Foundation well. I'm really proud of what I'm doing with Lindsey. Vonn Foundation and I actually started it when I had my second ACL surgery and so a little complicated but ACL is like your main ligament that crosses through kind of the middle of your knee, and that really is the stabilizing ligament for your whole leg and. Very critical, obviously for skiing. So it was a very long recovery and. The second ACL surgery I had in two years. So needless to say, I had a lot of time on my hands and that was a positive of that injury was being able to start my foundation. In your knee tube series career day you interview notable women and fell female athletes what inspired you to start the series. So career actually started because I was trying to think of ways to keep kids motivated during the coronavirus lockdown. Was Not being able to go to school and doing some online stuff and. A lot of kids that were involved in sports had a really hard time. You know they couldn't practice with their teams or coaches all the gyms were shut down. So I just wanted to have them connect with their heroes are idols, and you know kind of keep their minds focused on the future and not what's currently going on. So you know kind of connected some of my scholarship winners with heroes in in their particular field know Caroline Wozniacki, Misty Copeland Ballerina. have an astronaut that's coming on I just have some incredible people and their these kids that have these scholarships are able to talk directly to their heroes and. That's something that really is profound to me because when I met my idol peekaboo street when I was nine at an autograph signing that was really the reason why I wanted to become an Olympian. So I hope that this interaction with these people allows them to really stay motivated and focused and know that the dream is actually achievable. Gown is a big part of skiing and gymnastics. How do you get back up? I think falling is a part of life you know. Maybe gymnastics and skiing, and it's a little bit more physical but I think we all have obstacles in our lives and You know the the the fall or the obstacles really the important part. The important part is knowing that you can pick yourself back up and keep going and learn from your mistake. Mistakes aren't bad unless you don't learn from them. So I always look it falls as opportunities to learn opportunities to get better. And we're inherently in our entire lives always gonNA fall, but we have to have the strength to pick ourselves backup. Many of our young fans help to pursue their sport professionally. Do you have any advice for young girls who dream of Competing in the Big Leagues? You know the biggest piece of advice I can give you is. Always dream big and work as hard as you can always give one hundred and ten percent. You know if you always give your best, you're always going to get the best outcome and no matter. If that's winning Olympic gold medal or competing on your high school team or making it to college or getting scholarship you know everyone has their own. Best you know, and you just have to work

Halep lays Grand Slam ghosts to rest

"Hello and welcome to our fifteenth and final edition of Roland Garros relived Catherine feeling when I say that. Wistful. I'M GONNA I'm GonNa stop missing the past sort of like A. Double again I will. Note that is. Are You you're right I'm all right I can believe it's the fifteen. Well when I came up with the idea, let's just keep doing the daily podcast. Slams that we promised we would at the start of the, even though there's no tennis by watching lots of action, the past I thought it'd be easy. Turns out then we got lots of ideas about how to do it. Including interviewing everybody, we possibly could find relevant to each match, and that's what we've done again today. for Simona halep against Sloan Stevens 2018 final, and we've got down K. Hilas special guest coach to Simona Halep, and yes, it's been a long and tiring journey to get through today fifteen of these podcasts. We've enjoyed it immensely. I think it's fair to say. So let's get cracking with this one. This match has a lot to it. Doesn't it the whole saga because? Simona. Is it three Grand Slam. She already played. At the to that point and not. Finals yeah, yeah. She played the two, thousand, fourteen and final, and lost in three to Sharapova. She'd played the two thousand, seventeen, French Open final and lost in three Ostapenko, and she played the twenty eighteen Australian Open. Final just a few months before they send those to Wozniacki all three senators. She played well in all of them. She had a lead in all of them and lost all of them. And it was becoming a real. Saga actually. Can help get over the, line. 2018, you say. You want some facts about two thousand eighteen. We. Well, it's not long ago, so you can probably remember most of this Prince Harry and Meghan markle married. Thing right I hosted a semi. Gathering in the garden, did you did you was on the invitation? To, clarify with a few friends and family that I wasn't like a rabid royalist, and it was just an excuse to make some cake and sausage rolls. The I remember seeing the pictures. Wasn't invited that. We can handle it. aretha Franklin and Stephen Hawkins' both died toys. R.. US went bankrupt. Not Quite sure why that to my list, but it is. I'm not sure nothing either. Toys R. US went bankrupt and student Matt's became Grad Matt became Matt. Two thousand eighteen was a big. And formation. Toys R. US, they might. How do you feel about that? No I think it was pressed. Until Lo que, but so I was reading it. I won't saw. Phillips scattered toys R. US In writing when I was about five. States have good stories. Did you speak for? Him! I remember being very excited because it was circuit in the gopher. Time, I was at my dad. That's a long time ago yet. Longtime Gay and I think it was. Joseph in mazing technical latrine time as well right Matt, wasn't even Baby Matt at this point. He's never even heard of these people. You don't know Gordon the gopher is Dima. No. Right so. Just, minded ninety correction. You didn't mention that freedom got promoted into anti eighteen. Thank you for pointing that out. Rather than to. And it didn't last long. It's as relevant as toys R. US, thank you I so. Yes, so we have this final on our hands between SMYRNA HALEP and Sloan seems and it was one that. I was I was looking forward to. A tennis match in. It's just in its own right of these two players battling it out because I thought it could be a really good final. And, should he? I think it ended up exceeding all of those expectations and You're quite right Catherine when you talk about the number of finals, the the salmon halibut already been in, and it was similar to play as we think of that. We've already covered here in this running relived series like even lendl trying to win. A A I slam Andy Murray course. It took him a few guys. Goran Ivanisevic but Simona Halla. Yeah, she already had three. She'd had Darren K Hill by his side for awhile by this point, so let's hear from him about the journey that led to this moments. Together for about three us before she played that particular foreign against flown in two thousand and nineteen and I guess the memory of what happened in two thousand, seventeen, against Ostapenko, as well was brought in the full fun of Amazon so for her to go out and do what she did. And now they say that both of you most destinations. You can't get there unless you go to refund pain a tough road and that was kind of the journey that some had had even before I came along. She might the final. Open and lost Marie shower. Piping, a great match on six four on the third added chances in that one, and then to lose to paint code and then the Knicks Jay come back, an inbetween that of course remember the final that she applied at the open against the Yankee which was another great match, and just even getting to the final at the Australian Open was itself, so I I think that helped a lot. She learned a lot from that particular tournament, and when she got to the final at a French. Against Launch, he had a little extra confidence and belief in a self to finally get it done.

"I'm Saying Goodbye": Maria Sharapova Retires From Tennis at Age 32

"Don't know if you share my sentiments. This was news. That is not remotely surprising. We were all expecting this. I think Most people had already pre filed. The Maria Sharapova retires column and yet I gotTa say it feels you know an hour into this but Feels a little weird definitely I. This is not like Last time we had big Sharipova News at SL which was of course it. Two Thousand Sixteen and that that was a big surprise. This like you said I think we all saw it coming. It was a matter of when and not if so for to be now is I think a pretty normal timing given whether she's going to play Indian Wells and Miami probably would have kick started her into the French and Wimbledon and then sort of. You're playing out the year at that point so for her to call it quits after all. Cheyenne this little gaps. Seems to make sense but I don't know what do you think? Yeah ranked ranked three seventy three. Something had to give here. This is a five time major champion. Who you did not think was going to play the wild card game for very long. I I guess I would perhaps suspected she would have played Indian Wells. It's an event where she's had success. It's two hours from her home in southern California she would have gotten a grand sendoff But you know this. This is I had these two competing instincts with Sharipova. What what do we know about her? She is fiercely. Driven fiercely competitive. She is and always has been. I think we can talk about this a bit later. The consummate professional and those are really dueling instincts when you're ranked three seventy three and not playing it anywhere near the level that you're accustomed to Part of you probably says I can fight through this. This is just more adversity. I can overcome. I'm better than this. I just need to work harder. I can get my body right. I can get my mind right. I can get back. I don't WanNa go out like this and another part of you says surely I can't have this indignity. I can't be losing round after round early. I'm not seated so I'm playing tough opponents. My Body's giving up on me so I think you had and they came from the same place but they're two very different ways to react to to the same core instinct and today she said enough is enough. I mean I think you're right that You know February is a strange month in tennis. And I guess you know we're we`re. There's no perfect way to retire from the sport and we see even within tennis players very differently. Some players go on this goodwill tour and some players like Caroline Wozniacki says look. I'm going to pinpoint this as my last event and go ahead and prepare your tribute reels. And I'm GonNa play this event knowing when I lose my last match. That's IT and Sharipova. We've seen other players. There's players do this as well. Sharapova pulled us out of the blue and it's it's a Wednesday and she's not at a tournament today And retired in her own way. So I don't know I mean the other. There are a number of questions that stem from this whole conversation and jump in any jump in anytime here. I mean I think the overall question when a player retires as we assess legacy I don't know particular bullet points. Jump out at you Jamie. I think I think highs and lows complicated legacy Of course is going to be attached to share over The the craziest thing I think if you look at the timing now she's ranked three hundred seventy three which says absolutely nothing about her career but to your point. I mean she was at the point now where she was trying to come back and she's nowhere even near the top one hundred You know not even winning any matches and it's it must be really hard for her honestly to you know given all that she's accomplished. I think we said thirty six. W titles obviously the five Grand Slams all these rivalries quote unquote particularly with Serena Williams which is also another interesting conversation to have but I think it was probably getting difficult for her to continue to be you know struggling and Her her legacy given you know the the MELDA NEOM and the ban will always thou always be part of her story? Yeah I think you're absolutely right and today should be happy day. Celebrate a five time major champion. I mean I was looking at her staff and I think we forget how good she was for for a variety of reasons. I think to the casual tennis fan. They were misled by two. One is the head to head with Serena that you reference. She beat Serena Breakthrough Center women. Final Two thousand four and then she loses whatever. The math twenty two is the derived. So lose eighteen nineteen matches to Serena Williams And I think that to the casual fan that we say rivalry. And then we sort of have to amend that to say with a lopsided rivalry which might be an oxymoron. The other thing about Sharipova that I and I wrote about this that I think is a great Sort of misleading bid about her is she had this regal disposition and she endorsed product after product. And it was very upscale. And it's Evian Cole Haan I remember you. I remember walking in New York and seeing her on three different billboards for three different upscale products. And there was this or of elegance. She was selling herself as much as she was a brand. She was selling sort of cosmopolitan posh elegance in yet. The tennis was. I was called her sort of tennis. Gym Rat I mean. It was not elegant tenants by any stretch and Jud admit to that and she was in her own way your own six foot one inch which she was a grinder and she was not what you call an athlete. He wasn't a graceful mover. She did not play graceful elegant tennis and I always thought that was really to her credit. That you'd see her on the back court and she'd be doing her footwork drills because she knew that was an area to improve and she would be working on her serve which always gave her fit in part because of the shoulder injury and she would grind out matches and she would win tough matches. She did not. This was not the female Roger Federer and I think tennis fans of course know that but I think casual fans see all of this aura of elegance and assume she played that way and that wasn't the case at all I mean the the screaming grunting grinding sweating. You'll brushing the hair that had managed to her forehead. That's the Maria Sharapova on the tennis court has an athlete And I think you know again I want to just this should be a day to give credit to someone who had a tremendous career and five majors. Yes but thirty six titles almost forty million dollars you got to number one. I mean this is really an a-list career and you know she had the misfortune of playing. At the same time Serena Williams and there was a lot that went into that relationship beyond the tennis. That probably did not work to Maria benefit but you take away. Cerita you take away. Venus Williams seven majors. Maybe Justine Henin. Maybe Kim Clijsters and I think it's very easy to make the case. Marisha published one of the top five players of the Post Steffi Graf of the last twenty five years and tennis so this is really a remarkable career. And yet as you mentioned if we're going to talk about her honestly. This wasn't the way it was supposed to end. Which is you know a a doping ban. I thought a very clumsy handling of the doping ban. I thought it was very out of character and off brand of her to have been so sloppy. Not just in the violation but then in the aftermath and how it was handled and some of the the the the press conference that we referenced and she was never the same player after that and you know co correlation is not causation and may simply have been that. She was a little sport and she was in early thirties and players get older. We see this on not just in tennis but in in sports in general I mean thirty two big number in in women's tennis but it was not supposed to end with a doping band and a ranking that drifted deep into triple figures so overall macro great career hall of fame player but there is a tinge I think of bittersweet. There is a little bit of disappointment. That This wasn't the way this hall of fame career was supposed to be a gift. Compare what we saw a month ago when Caroline wozniacki is out there on the court and our families there and she's toasted and all of the players are making tribute videos and were. She's crying but she's saying I'm not sad and she does. I mean I talked to her the following day. She was all gussied up because she clearly had been doing the spots around. There's definitely a difference of a decision on your terms and decision that was made based on your body and The time of your career. You know it's it's very different in comparing into. What was the Yankee especially given those? The Yankees recent title in Australia just seemed very full circle for her to do that. this again is random but also very expected. I think one of the things I always sort of liked about Sharipova was Her personality in in two ways. I think we talk. You talk about her on the court sweating grinding shrieking. I mean everyone. I think even if you're not a big tennis fan you know share Provo. Because maybe she made you mute the TV while you're watching a match and that's something that a lot of people will probably joke about but you know she worked hard in the court she was always like fierce and and you know a competitor for sure but she also you know. I remember processors and and interviews where she's actually has a very great personality and and you know quite opposite of that fierce competitor where she could be funny and she was actually Kinda Witty and and You know there was a a side to her personality. That was very likable. When most people on the court probably saw the opposite so overall she's a huge name. In this sport she's one of the handful that transcends just tennis you you mentioned her and she needs only one name There's only a handful of those type of athletes so I think She will definitely be missed. When I present the Senate's podcast so our Party plays POLENTA Hertzog who I've heard of from Slovenia. That could be quite interesting. I'll be a stylish match coach. It was well Klickovic through some shades towards Hertzog. Today as she does say she she was supposed to be talking to kick in with innovation before their match journalist asked them what they were talking about and said well actually. We were talking about the schedule because we saw match match Melbourne arena. It's just very like this feels like some kind of like hey we're here finally and people saluted except that bachelor nation is a big deal okay. Thank you bachelor celebrities. You can't get rid of them. They're they're legit so now. G g has legitimizing them but one thing i've been thinking a lot about is she's like a friend of reality t._v. and formerly on reality t._v. herself which i feel kind of overlooked but when you launder was on the real housewives gee-gee was all over it. That was not like random. Oh no no no. I mean like we got the iconic nick moment when g g had like a going away birthday party for college or something and you'll here's the piece of cake and it was literally the size of an almond yeah. Have you ever google you llandough and she was in her heyday as a model. Yes i have actually she was gorgeous. Yeah can't imagine growing up under with evatt hanging over you sure i will say this though they kind of like. I think it was a run on. She was like the ninety supermodels naomi cindy yolanda. It is like really you'll onda your maga yeah. I don't know about that. She was on the same level. That's true and just tyler is like i don't know this just takes him out out of the running for like regular reality t._v. or like the bachelor career trajectory. I don't know what happens to him next. I don't know how long this lasts right biggest task for them. It will be in september because certainly j._j. Will be walking in the many fashion weeks new york london paris so she'll be traveling and like i don't think we can rule out him going with her like that could have now we'll end. He's a model to maybe we'll see him on the runway. I don't know that will be wild if he if he just. I mean he's like today. He put up a lululemon add lululemon partner it would be wilder tyler became a runway model as a result of his new found fame. I don't wanna say as a result of g g. I think think like he could get there on his own shore but it's just wild. I is a i. I now find that like part of my daily. Routine is waking up and checking to see see if tyler is done anything no like what like what's going on today in thailand yes. Maybe it would have done that anyway but like it's just crazy. He's legitimate celebrity. It's wild well. I think he probably likes it. Also jay is nine one nine. Do you follow him on instagram. No why not oh does that his friend who's the football player yahoos yeah. Who's catchy lives on okay well. Maybe i will after this. We'll he's after forty thousand followers literally. He's literally just random guy just like little chillers run yes and he is forty thousand instagram slow followers. That's crazy yeah. I know it is crazy. He's also really handsome. I hope that this is working out for him do we'll maybe lead to get him on the bachelorette. I think that's been like discuss like about to make him a bachelor. I don't i'm so down for that. <hes> <hes> we'll move on from tyler and one second but i just want to note the photos of them at last night which by the way was also namedrop from the new york post this week because i is where katie holmes was allegedly overheard talking about her break up with <hes> jamie fox big-league las geena a hard time believing it's complete coincidence anyway in those photos caroline wozniacki who is also towns player also <unk> serena williams the best friends. "The matches that are going on around particularly incentive cortin inside number one coach always a great atmosphere here the blue and white flowers matching with the green creeper to pick out the colors of the all england club and the stream that's running behind me it's all very decorative and water of course is an issue here because they've got so much cross to look after for the grass courts in the stream itself actually is no such thing it actually circulates perpetually and there's a shine to explain that to the punters in case they're worried that water is being wasted an act really good news for the organizers in a sense last night we had finally after many weeks some heavy rain last night only for half an hour or show but that's certainly freshened up the lawns around me and it's made the arab bit fresher as well actually this morning still going to be a hot day though later on today when we get the action going once again the biggest news from here at wimbledon on wednesday was the ousting of yet another top seed in the women's draw number two seed and australian open champion caroline wozniacki ousted by katharina macara in three sets in the second round it looked inevitable when she was five one down in the final set but she hold it back and seem to be back on track only from a character to collect yourself from wind through seven five in the third in the end wasn't yankees exit means only well number one and defending champion caffeine or muga reuther and seventh seed caroliina plus cover remained from the chop age in the women's draw dane wozniacki looked rather stunned and upset by what had happened i played someone who you know went all in with every single shot and a lot of lines a lot of you know crazy shots were going in and you know she was playing well then at that point what can you do you just have to keep fighting and wait for your opportunity and you know i i thought all i had and i just lack just a little bit today so she's going home of course serena williams still here it's just a ranking is rather lonely after time for having a baby but she's still one of the favorites and moved into the third round saying she was feeling better than she had for her first round game not something the rest of the draw particularly want to hear roger federer also through with these and former runnerup me las ranches progressing as well he went through in straightsets yesterday but it was harder than it sounded against australia's john millman because all three sets went to try brakes around each is through nonetheless despite that particular test later on today a few matches to catch up with of course because of the problems with the rain last night marin chile will return later well ahead of guido pella and south africa's number eight seed kevin anderson was also delayed he's twosetstoone up against andreas seppi genesis alshabaab wasn't even able to start her match against katharina sinker all the news from here women alden today at wimbledon eighteen thirty gmt here on the bbc now there is some sport going on away from here at wimbledon football not the world cup instead you ventures managing director giuseppe marotta has not wished to clear things up very much on the possibility of this area champions making a move for real madrid's cristiano ronaldo reports suggested the reigning champions league holders are weighing whether to sell ronaldo is sports journalist italian football expert james hardcastle he's wages which had a big problem because they are four times what he quite the current highest earner is being paid so you are interested they've been talking to his agent but it looks like this is going to be a very difficult transferred to pull off and we could we see a joint bid from north african countries algieria tunisia and morocco to host the football world cup in twenty thirty morocco of course lost out for the fifth time when it was awarded in twenty twenty six to the joint northamerican bid of the us canada and mexico now algeria in particular shay that they are looking at a joint north african bid for twenty thirty along with morocco syria bidders for the championship and tunisia talking to football i mentioned the big screen here at wimbledon of course england are in a world cup quarterfinal on saturday afternoon which is going.
