"Evening from the midterm election ballot debacle which kicked off the evening to last half hour the alon Musk deal with Twitter being on hold A win for freedom of speech today the Department of Homeland Security has paused its new disinformation governance board and the board's director will resign This following weeks of criticism about whether the board would impinge on free speech rights community level And health experts say people in those areas should be taking precautions We urge local leaders to encourage the use of prevention strategies like masking and public indoor settings and increasing access to testing and to treatment White House COVID-19 response coordinator doctor Ashish jha said last week they were concerned about a potential wave of cases in the fall and winter Yesterday he said a large number of Americans are experiencing a wave right now There's a lot of infections across America What's driving that What is primarily driving that is these incredibly contagious sub variants The last big wave came last winter when the first version of the omicron variant swept the country Now the northeast and Midwest are experiencing an increase in cases and in hospitalizations with those hospitalizations up 19% in the last week across the country although still much lower than during omicron Still doctor Lewinsky says we've always said you know put your "Again, hat tip AP ten dead and buffalo supermarket attack, buffalo, New York, a white 18 year old wearing military gear and live streaming with a helmet camera opened fire with the rifle at a supermarket and buffalo killing ten people and wounding three other Sunday Saturday and what authorities described as a racially motivated violent racially motivated violent extremism quote unquote. Did you hear that about, did you hear that about the waka Shaw parade massacre killer? You hear that about Darryl Brooks? Did you hear that about Frank James? You guys remember those headlines? Black two black nationalists. There's more stories, but those are the two that are most prominent in recent. So black nationalists, one black nationalist on the Brooklyn subway system, shoots, I believe, ten people, ten plus people. Don't recall the exact numbers, but Frank James does just a matter of a few weeks ago, a month ago or so. And that's domestic terrorism. We don't even know the colors of his victims. We don't know if he, you know, just shot people randomly. We don't know if the target at whites, we don't know if he targeted Asians. We don't know if he targeted Latinos. We don't know if he targeted Jews. It's just domestic terrorism. And then hush hush, sweep that under the rug, the rug. Then you have the waka shark Christmas parade massacre suspect and Daryl Brooks who complained about being demonized and dehumanized when he took his SUV and drove through a crowd and tensionally of white people running people over and killing them. This was the Christmas parade and waka Shaw Wisconsin. Black nationalists, both of them, but the media isn't going to report that because it doesn't fit their narrative. The problem with the media, not doing their job, is they are starting race wars with the crazies that walk amongst us. When you, when you see Black Lives Matter, burn cities down in 2020 and the media just focuses on that. With the neglect of focusing on what's happening in are also at least covering what's happening in the streets of Chicago and in urban communities across the country ran by Democrats. You don't think you're gonna spark some crazy thinking people out there that are already sick and evil to do something about it, you don't think that a white kid like Peyton grindin of Grande, whatever the heck his name is, I don't care. Hope he dies tomorrow. Honestly, but I hope the same for all of these guys. I don't know why Frank James is alive. I don't know why Darryl Brooks is a lie. I don't. These people set out to murder people based upon race. Again, we're not clear what Frank James because the media hasn't done their job. They're trying to memory hold it because that doesn't fit their narrative going into 2022. That guess what? There's black nationalists out there killing people. Mass shootings where black nationalists, but that doesn't sound good for Democrats, headed up until 20 heading into the midterm elections..

"Me too because in favor of the giants i'd like to see the giants win. Yes mostly what it is. I like to see champions. Lose doesn't matter who you are like once the dodgers one i like i don't care that was shortened season. You've got your ring now get out. Let's get somebody else in there. That's fine I i'll be honest. I am a little upset that the rays lost. Because i was really pulling for them in the american league for that reason. Yep boston just one tonight. So for those of you. That didn't catch that. Or whatever in case you missed it. Boston went up three games to one. And he's over camp obey. And that's the over yup. What about this milwaukee atlanta series brig atlanta's up to two one. Is there anything here like this coin. Toss to me to begin with 'cause atlanta's kind of been playing with house money. They're good team but they don't have a kunia How about this. I got this question for you. Is this a team. Like if they make a nice deep ron if they go actually go to the world series about could we put them in the theory category rule. I don't know who talked about that on this podcast or not. Why don't you explain the theory. It's a bill. Simmons thing for those of us who know bill simmons. It's something he's been doing it for probably twenty years or something. That the ewing theory is that a team is better without its best player. It came to light in. I believe in the nineties when the knicks made a nice long run about patrick ewing and their we've seen it throughout history in sports. The mariners one hundred sixteen games the next season after a-rod left One that comes off the top my head immediately. No really for those of you. Who don't recognize the amount of time that it took me to come up with that but anyways ito i wonder if the if the braves this year could be up for any wing theory award or something like that or nomination. I don't know what we can. We'd classify it. But without kunia. Because i had them like done. Oh without a kunia to be honest with you right right. Well if you'll recall our playoff primer episode. i had them going and beating milwaukee. Yes so i'm excited about the way this is turned turned gone. Maybe as appropriate. Because this is what. This is what i saw happening and i don't think it's going to be a big deal. I think they're to take the.

"Some of the precision passes he made. You're talking windows this big. You're not talking to windows this big. You're talking windows this big out. Challenge anybody to get a football five years five yards away. Put up a bunch of beer cans if you can hit the middleware or he was doing that from twenty yards away On the shore guards plays a decisive with. He wasn't turning it down I think brown's baker the run game that defense. I think it'd be one of the top five in the nfl like you know me. I'm not going to tell you who's the best. But they're going to be in that chunk of four to six teams that you could see one of the whole thing art last thought here. I don't want chicago on anymore. Nationally televised games. Look now i think they have three more because the discussion around dalton and fields it just as an aside i was never necessarily the biggest dalton guy but aj green should just be like shuttled right into the hall of fame now because dalton actually was respectable enough as a starter and now and it's only one hundred years old like he's it's got worse and i don't even say last night. There were some decent moments from him but the way the fields part of this is talked about like. I rely chris collins worth but like andy throws a little crosser. Just past the line of scrimmage and they're like you know fields gets to see that knows that throws they're you're like come on. He's not twelve like at some point he will figure the stomach some of it. He has already figured out. But it felt like a very pre-production production meeting broadcast of the staff telling the nbc guys. This is why we have all of these concerns. This is the message were selling in. This is what we're doing on. And on and i felt like there was this absolute bion so my point would be if the national broadcast of a chicago. Bears game is going to be. This is why fields isn't playing and were further onto the season. Then like i. Just i'll just give up. Because last night was like three hours of selling that message in a game. The bears are gonna have a chance in either wet. Amen our wish. I wish there is no question. I'm sorry but no it's and you're right. I i think you're leading me towards wisn phil plane. Why is dalton playing. Who cares what the what the propaganda thing was through chicago staff to nbc crew I get while they're why they're doing it. So if you make a decision internally and you know it's going to be counter cultural right almost everybody's is gonna want fuels right. The media wants to talk more about rookie quarterbacks and the higher the pay and the fans want it because he's the savior and You know basically that's all matters right as media and fans are enduring propaganda pitch so I get why they are selling that. This is why we're doing it And i'm a i'm an andy. Don't guy like handy. I think he's a good starting quarterback in the nfl. I think he can get through some tough time could be nicer and he can help you reset the ship football standpoint. He's got a lower. He's going to raise your floor. I think. That's what andy dalton. He's going to raise your floor. I think what they're scared about it. Zip they play feels and he has trouble. Orange zach wilson experience where there's going to be giant. Evan flows jobs. i think. That's i in my opinion what i've seen happen in my time with the nfl's when you're making decision where you're trying to raise your four that are raise your ceiling You're protecting your job. They know they can be okay because they should have a really good defense but in look last night they can. They can play management football and get through the season with the carrot of. We just gave fields the mahomes year. Right 'cause you it's it's tangible like you can say this has happened a few years ago. We had this dude. patrick mahomes. It was lighten up. Practice were plan. Alex smith all up out of the same players. Andy dalton and look what it did for the chiefs old by the way. I was there when we did this. So this was part of my plan so you can sell that long enough and keep your job till the next year whereas if you play fields right now and it goes backwards. You're gone and there's a new staff coming in which justin villages the quarterback. So that's been my experience in the league. I think most Players coaches would agree with me. That that's probably what's happening now going back to your era. I completely agree. Like i used to always look at and again cam. Newton is is still you know obviously still in the league potentially here so we're talking still years removed from connie your core years but i remember the camp discussion. He was not a lock for number one right there were like maybe go seventy something like that and it's like oh he's gonna go number one and then i thought all right you know what they're gonna do is they're gonna take their time because it's a coaching staff. That's worried the best thing you can do is still have hope. He can still have hope like a new driver in the back. Trent you know what i'm talking about. It's it's if we play him week ten on and we go three and three and we feel pretty good about ourselves. Maybe we get to stick around. So i think the the nagy approach if that's what it is. I totally get it. It's just that nobody does that anymore. So that would be. If i were running the bears so wait we just ice this sky for a year so you guys can save your jobs now definitely not keeping your route so but i think you said you said in the midst of that is. I've been saying this forever. As soon as i left. Football went into tv. I'm like whenever gets talked about. Enough is hope..

"My homeboy came in as the new head coach after that and he wanted to go in a different direction so i went to kansas city and became a backup and That's how i finish my career. But yeah i did Become a backup at the end of my career. So you didn't for some reason. I thought you started for kansas city. But i i don't know maybe i'm getting started a few games for them. But i didn't know. Elvis was the was a starting quarterback when i got there and i went there thinking there was a possibility that you know even though he was the starter there that you know he had had some problems getting injured and things like that so i didn't know maybe there was a chance i was gonna get Get on the field a little bit more. But i didn't because he had two of his best years there league cam can be a starter out to be the right situation and team. That's willing to build the offense around what he does. Best new england's offense was not built for cam newton. it was built for. You know guys like tom. Brady or quarterbacks like mag jones who are more you know pocket passers and get the ball out of their hands. Quickly have to be very accurate with the football. A lot of short passes. That's not cam strength so he'd have to go to a team that we want to build things around what he does best. And that's what you should do. What most quarterbacks anyway warn i saw cam was doing a podcast. And he said they're not thirty two quarterbacks better than me in the nfl interesting. Not if you made that adjustment from being a starter to being a backup. What kind of advice would you give to cam. If he were to come in a backup role question you'd have to be all into that role He'd have to know what his role was he'd have to prepare like. He was a starter but he'd have to be very Supportive of the guy. That's in front of him and and that's got to be all in in that position so he can. He can do a lot of things for a team because a lot of players like him. He has leadership abilities He can be a guy that can motivate players in practice motivate guys before games. Give them advice before games. There's a role that he can play but he has to be willing to do that role and and then he has to be ready to play if he's called upon but again i just don't know if he's there mentally or psychologically that's a conversation of team would have to have with them before they actually signed him in a month with a double moon one pro football hall of fame of warren moon. Here on keyshawn. J. will zubin on. Espn radio the espn app and xm channel eighty when it comes to younger quarterback you mentioned max jones. I know a lot of people. Anointing him as that messiah-like person when it comes to the patriots but realistically what should be the expectations for the rookie out of alabama. You know i think what you see in. The preseason is kind of what you're going to see in the in the regular season. I think josh mcdaniels gonna really call a very careful game plan for him especially in those first three or four weeks of the season. They're gonna rely more on their running game Play action pass. A high percentage passes so he doesn't have to try and hold the ball in the pocket of longtime and drive the ball down the field and then rely on their defense to give them short fields to work on. So i think a lot of what you saw with. Tom brady early in his career. How the patriots won championships. You're gonna kinda see that same formula with the new england patriots with mag jones's their quarterback until he feels much more comfortable with the offense. I so tell me about this warning. Wisn justin field starting week. One for bears are you. Are you part of the camp that you think. It's the right move by matinee to star andy dalton for this bears team or you think it should be justice. Field seemed right from the beginning. Well i think there's no question. Justin feels more talented than than andy. Dalton is and and you know. That's pretty evident when you see some of the dynamic place. He's made throughout the preseason but he also had a play almost got his head ripped off because he missed a linebacker blitz. And those are the things that you worry about. When you put a rookie quarterback and there he ready to handle everything that's gonna come at him and this was in the preseason where teams are pretty vanilla when you get into the regular season now. They're going to come out with all their exotic blitzes and things. And you wanna make sure. You're young quarterback is ready for all that and maybe they feel like justin's not ready for some of the things that he might see and once once he has a chance to maybe look and see things from the sideline get more reps in practice because he will get some some starter. Reps even started takes the majority of them. The backups always going to get some routes and the more he can see the film. You can watch then you can also watch what. Nfl real season game is like i think at some point maybe four or five games into the season. He'll be the guy. But i don't think we want against the rams and some of the teams they have to play early in the season is is good to put him out there. They don't think he's ready. Warned being hall of fame quarterback. Did you ever feel any pressure at the start of the season. The have success. And i asked a question. Because i wanna ask you follow up about dak prescott. I think every quarterback wants to get out of the gate quickly. Every team in the league wants to get off to a good start..

Another Kabul Terror Attack 'Likely,' Biden Briefed by National Security Team

"Is apparently likely, according to the press secretary on the president, vice presidents meeting with the national security team in Afghanistan. One thing I will say the intelligence has been dead on just prior to these attacks yesterday. People that were getting either the Facebook post or the text or the emails or the Twitter following that they do. We're told that an attack was imminent. And sure enough, it happened at the airport. Um Kirby took a question in a briefing right at the end and confirmed some reports are true that Afghans are waiting 10 hours on a plane for vetting at Dulles. Uh, the Pentagon, apparently as clueless on the number of Afghan refugees that they've already brought into the country over 100 apparently have been identified, according to Pentagon officials, telling Defense one this week that up to 100 of the thousands of Afghans evacuated as his perspective. Recipients of special immigrant visas seeking permanent resettlement in the U. S have been flagged as potential matches. The intelligence agency watch lists, and apparently, I'm told been told by my sources that they're actually doing the vetting after the people are up in the air on their way. The United States of America a little late at that point to start doing the vetting. Anyway. U. S forces now

In that series, came back and beat Atlanta. Came back from down to nothing. It's that beat Phoenix won the NBA championship, and Budenholzer, who had only one year left in his contract, and was widely thought to be on the hard seat. According to multiple news reports today. "Pretty low. It's only twenty five. It's a pretty low death number overall in a nation of eight million people. I'm sorry the numbers thirty one. St one people have been data. Eighty one percent of those in israel who have passed away so far in july over the age of sixty fully vaccinated eighty-one percent now. The overall death number is low. But does that. Is that anywhere close to the picture that cdc and anthony voucher. Trying to paint you here in the united states or geraldo rivera or whoever else exactly at us. Yesterday los angeles county announced over twenty five percent of its cases in july the vaccinated over twenty five percent. That's out of l. a. county you you know that bastion of right wing dogma. And science denying the same science the same health department who said yesterday if they have even one kobe case they'll shut down all schools in l. a. is also telling you want more than one out of four cases in that county are fully vaccinated. Remind you well over. Sixty percent of those sixteen and over are vaccinated in los angeles county. In fact i think the numbers like sixty eight percent at this point. Anybody who comes to you. I saw sarah huckabee. Sanders said the other day. Basically treating you if you live in arkansas like your adult will. These vaccines are from trump's program. I got the trump vaccine so apparently you'll all just sit down there. You know when you're done you know when you're done wiping the moonshine off your lips and shown. Young bubba had a spit. His dip in this tune. Pick sue when you're done with that you'll hear on that they're radio over there. You'll hear mall kettle you in the room. The vaccines came from the trump administration. Well hot damn sally. What did anybody tell me. Let's go ahead and hop in the wagon right on down the road. Don't forget my straw hat and a smoke pipe preferably preferably but that's how we speak down here. No one told me it was trump vaccine by golly inject that so mitch. I can't wait. give it to me. I'll take it a couple of times. That's essentially what she said a couple of days ago like that's sushi must think our constituents are. You've just been waiting around. You did not know you know all seven thousand nine hundred fifty seven times. Donald trump told you about operation warp. Speed you apparently didn't catch any of them and are just now learning that the vaccine program came from his administration breaking news to those of you in little rock. Hope springs fayetteville. You didn't know isn't that. Essentially the implication of what she's saying implants messaging she she must love anthony voucher to. I mean i mean the the idea that is just a group one group of people and with more and more data like this like at a la county. You think there's a whole bunch of people so you're gonna shut this thing down. If there's one case one out of four cases is from the vet. Why am i doing this there. See we've been wondering what could what could bring e. pluribus poonam back to america again. What could unite people around a common theme in. America isn't even still possible. When you've got michael. Rapaport sounding like ned ryan. Steve dais daniel horowitz. Found it. The anger is growing. Because i told you for years. All people may be sinful but they're not all stupid. Let me bring you into the conversation. What say you. I think this is a good time to remember. I've seen a few people on the right posit over the last twenty four to forty eight hours that well. The democrats aren't getting anything done in congress and so they're naturally pivoting back to the virus and putting on these restrictions first of all. That doesn't make any sense because they were already really unpopular second of all mitch. Mcconnell in his compal of spineless gutless republicans are giving them what they want in the infrastructure bill and thirdly this is really key they're not doing this. They're not doing this for any political reason anymore. Maybe it was the case back in the spring but that it was it was really really politically expedient for them to do this now. Whatever this is and it's been the case the entire time with all of the tyranny that we've seen it's been the case the whole time that there was an element of we just want power now. There was a large element of it. This is all about. This is all about no carrot anymore. This is just stick. This is just the stick you will bow desired now. They're just dropping their trowel pulling it out and on you all of us and then telling you it's goldstein started the Trump supporters who are causing all of this. That's the only political part about this. The rest of this is just raw willpower. That's where we're at now in along those lines Today on twitter former so-called conservative karen on twitter coming out and saying that you know what now your kids are just going to have to suffer this fall because the vaccine i in running in circles because now we have to mass because the vaccines work because they don't work and yada yada yada yada yada but the point is that now you will have to suffer. So it's not remember. The devil does not just come with torches and pitchforks. We are right in the heart of. Did god really say and we are guzzling it from the fire. Hose just loving it..

"A band Whitefish. Whitefish. Oh, my God. Yes. That is so racist. Whitefish. We must rename Whitefish. Let somebody somebody get a petition. Together so we can rename Whitefish because it's of course I mean, please people. Could there. Could there be a fish that was more obviously representative of white supremacy than the whitefish? Alright, we're going to talk about serious stuff now and that would be the elections. Um, I'm happy to report That there was actually some mainstream attention to this. The situation going on in Georgia as I was watching the Tucker Carlson show last night, Lo and behold, there is an extended feature on what has been uncovered by an independent organization. Conducting a proper audit on ballots. They've actually gotten access to ballots. Believe it or not, they've gotten access to the at least the photo images of ballots and Tracy beans from uncover D. C. Who is one of the very few people following this really, really closely. Um, good to see some mainstream coverage of this. It's pretty clear. That in Fulton County, there were enough ballots that were illegal to have rendered that 13,500 vote. Uh, advantage that Joe Biden had in November. Irrelevant. Pretty clear at this point. Indeed, absolutely. As a matter of fact, there was just We just finished up a hearing in Arizona, the Senate president there, Terrance and Called the hearing and it was about three hours long, actually are two hours long. It's just finished up now where they did give us an interim briefing on the Maricopa County Audit. Vicky. That's Running, to be honest what they're finding so far. So it's looking like it is clear that there are substantial problems in Maricopa County in Arizona in Fulton County in Georgia, we don't have the you know, sort of similar investigations going on in other places like Philadelphia or Detroit or some of the other folks. I mean, I would. I would love to see some something that looks like an audit in Milwaukee. We're not getting those but what we are getting From where we're looking is some pretty alarming things in Fulton County that this was a story that I'm more familiar with. You can share the Maricopa County information. Please do, uh, double ballots. Ballots have been counted at least twice. Some ballots counted more than twice tally sheets that are supposed to be attached to stacks of ballots. Faked faked. 850 votes for Joe Biden zero votes. Donald Trump when it should have been, you know, 400 votes for Joe Biden 300 votes for Donald Trump and 100 votes for Jo Jo Jorgensen. So you're seeing faked tally sheets. You're also seeing illegal votes from people who don't live. In the districts in the counties that they were voting from and you've got well in excess of 13,500 votes, But nothing's going to happen. At least we're going to know that this was not on the level. I don't know that you can necessarily saying nothing's going to happen because what we found what was announced yesterday in Georgia that Tucker spent that time talking about Actually was just added to the lawsuit that Garland feathery toe has going right now for those other 250,000 forensic images there waiting on from Fulton County. So this This data was actually from a different group that boy it for it received it and wanted to kind of do an expose on how how votes are adjudicated and why, you know, So why is it that a vote would go to adjudication where a person would then sit down and determine what the voter meant? And when they were doing that analysis, they found duplicate ballots in other batches from Fulton County, which is exactly what we've been saying from the beginning. You know, with that video that we saw them scanning duplicate ballots. We saw them getting ballots over and over. And when you do that, they will be in different batches. They don't all go into the same batch. So We're really learning a ton, and that lawsuit, I think is going to be crucial that here's why, because we get to see because there's so much video. We get to see how the scam went down and you can actually watch a woman on video scan a stack of ballots. We see her on video, and there may be longer video, but I've seen a video that shows her scandals that stack of ballots three times. Three times, same ballots. She just keeps running them through the machine 123 and and that's the kind of stuff you can't catch with. With a recount in the way typically recounts work is you read? You know, you just simply pull the tape. You don't re scan the physical ballot. You pull the tape. You see if the tapes matchup and if if everything matches up on a computer readout, then you're good to go. There is no way that computer readout can say that same ballot was scanned multiple times. So it looks like it's on the up and up, which is exactly what Fulton County was saying. Hey, we've already pulled the tapes. We already taken a look at this. We've We've checked this out, and it's all on the up and up. All of these votes were legit when clearly they weren't Yeah, No, And you know, the same thing happened. They just released today in Arizona that there were thousands. Duplicate ballots without serial numbers in ballot boxes in in Maricopa County. When you duplicated ballot. It has to have a serial number to go along the original ballot that it was duped from and some ballots where there were no serial numbers on them, and they were duplicate ballots of other ballots. They also found in Arizona today that, um over 74,000 more mail in ballots were received and counted. Then we're actually even mailed. It's not possible to everybody understands that's not actually possible to receive more ballots than were mailed..

Donald Trump Jo Jo Jorgensen Joe Biden Fulton County Georgia Milwaukee Philadelphia Detroit two hours 850 votes November Vicky 400 votes yesterday 300 zero votes Arizona Three times today thousands

They were not 20,000 people in the dear district, and I'm not just talking about last night when the rain and the threat of more storms was prevalent a lot of people yes. Lot of people I was in the area I think was before Game three against the Nets. It took me a good 20 minutes just to go east on Juno from State Street to Old world Third. That's one block 20 minutes. There were that many people walking around getting ready for the game, but to say 20,000 people in a block and a half as little Circus parade esque, don't you think? 907. I'm Dave Michaels in for Dan O Donnell. This is the Daniel Donald show. Remember, we get those ridiculous numbers. I was talking with Doug Russell, who was producing the show today. Three quarters of a million people are in downtown Milwaukee. The entire metro areas about six of another. The city of Milwaukee itself is 600,000 people. "To dive into in this hour of the program could have into the NBA. MLB All Star weekend Scary reports coming out of Denver. Also a college football cheat sheet, a lot of stuff around there. Let's kind of dive through some of the NFL, looking at the divisions and looking at what we could be looking forward to coming up around. 4 40 a lot to get into There, Kev. We were joking during the week. You know, boxing, and Mm, a kind of stepping in it again. You know you had Mama this week UFC with Connor McGregor Just Going completely. Ham on social media calling out Dustin Porter's wife, You know to me, there's a line of trash talk. That's fine. There's a lot of trash talk that you deserve to get your ass kicked. And Connor McGregor got exactly I'm not saying he deserved to break his leg last night or ankle in a disgusting fashion, but not winning a fight. I'm fine when you start talking about somebody's wife or their kids. I kind of want you to get your teeth kicked in. And for Connor McGregor. It's been a lot of that, and I'm glad to see him get humbled the way that he is boxing. Unfortunately, steps in it again this week. It's not their fault Tyson fury in his camp. Apparently now not going to be able to fight against Deontay Wilder coming down with the covid and because of some of the other fights that are going on, they now have to move this heavyweight championship fight all the way into October. Which stinks. You're now into football season and don't get me wrong college football when there's like, a really good weekend, and there's a prize fight at the end, I flat out love it. I think about, you know, going back years and years ago having an N B a conference final game, and then I want to say it was Manny Pacquiao fought right afterwards. I think that was the night he got robbed by Tim Bradley. It just horrendous, horrendous decision. But there is something about that Saturday, watching games and then all of a sudden when you have a big prizefight, I just don't want to see Wilder and fury all the way in October. It's like, Man. This fight should be going now. Then we lead into football season. But once again, we have to deal with that. I wish we could have some kind of threesome. Hey, now between Anthony Joshua Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder get these heavyweight belts combined. They're the only three guys anybody gives a damn about. You know, if Wilder can somehow fix the demons that he had in flight number two, maybe we get a competitive fight between him and Tyson fury. We'll see how that plays out. Baseball's got some issues, guys hopping out. Problems in Denver stars not being there. How could Major League baseball fix this? "So your sport more maybe casual fans, and they could get a chance to save whose some of the best up and coming fighters are and I think we have a couple of those guys on the car tonight, which makes a lot of fun. All right, Jake. Here's the big question. McGregor Port e eight. The trilogy ends tonight who has their hand raised I'm going with McGregor. I think we saw a fire and desire so to speak throughout this week. I think he's hungry. I think he has learned to make the adjustments from the second fight. The Big Dipper counter is going to be And he checked those cats pick that Fourier tries to strike on him. How he handles that will be talent could decide the fight. But, you know, I just think there's so much on the line from aggregor. I have all the respect in the world for four e eight. But it's tough for me to pick against counter here. I really think you know he knows what that stake for his legacy. And if you can win this fight, he will find a way. He's Jake Azman. Jake greatly appreciate the time greatly appreciate the insight. Enjoy the event and see if you can go snack. Some leftover Italian food in the media attacker and I appreciate you have me on the show. Thanks so much. That's Jake as been live on location in Las Vegas, just a few hours ahead of UFC 2 64, the host of the Jake Azman Show here on Sports map radio at Jake as been on Twitter. Doing a great job anchoring the coverage there. He mentioned the leg kicks and the late cakes were my biggest takeaway. From the second fight. I re watched the fight. Leading up to today's program just to get an idea of how it all went down because you know it had been a few months. So I'm really watching the flight. And obviously the one take away in the first round is the shoulders from Connor McGregor. He started doing it or really. It was put on the map for me against cowboy Cerrone E, where he essentially won the fight. With those shoulder shots. He was doing that again in round one against Justin 48, but poor Yeah, came out firing with the leg kicks in round two. And once you get him with the leg kicks, and this is not just economy Gregor thing. This is an all fighter thing. If you can just pound your opponent away with the leg kick. Not only does their defense go down because it's more difficult for them to move, But their offense is going to go down as well. Because a lot of people I don't think have a great understanding of how you generate power. In the Octagon. Everybody loves the aesthetic muscles. You know the Jack's shoulders, maybe some nice biceps. Everybody's flexing when they're weighing in, and that's all good and well, but a majority of the power that you generate when you are striking your opponent in mixed martial arts. Is going to come from your legs and you got two legs. If one of the legs you can't utilize well and you can't plant off of that leg. It's going to be very, very difficult to generate power and credit to McGregor in the second fight, he was still getting after Dustin Border. He was still hitting him with some good shots in that second round, but you could tell There was a point where you could actually start to see the bruising on Connor McGregor's leg start to formulate and that's really one Dustin Port he took over. Because McGregor couldn't defend himself as much. He couldn't move the way that he was moving earlier in the fight and poor. Yeah, who's a great fighter? Obviously, if you didn't know that now you do. He just took advantage. So I'm curious to see what adjustments have been made because that was the one place where McGregor went wrong in this fight. It's not the first time he's lost a fight because of the light kick thing. How is he going to adjust? He started trying to catch them in round two in the second fight, and it didn't really end up working because party was still hitting over 50% of them. So what adjustment is Connor McGregor going to make to the leg kicks? Because of port is just going to sit there and kick the nuts out of his leg. He's going to win the fight again. And I think the good money would be on. If you're going for an early knockout. I would say it probably favors Portier a little bit, which is very strange because you would think, O Connor McGregor, We've seen this dude knock dudes out like 14 seconds. Yes, but he's not the same fighter. I think the later the fight goes. McGregor's probably in a bit of a better situation. That's just the way that I'm choosing to look at it. So that's the way I ended up betting get it while the while the value is, is there We'll have more on the fight itself, as the program continues, were hours away from the main event of UFC 2 64 actually taken place, but there was a tweet that was heard round the world in association with the event. Um But there's usually Stopping point. When we have those indefinite cases, it's going to be some change down the road that would trigger the termination. Perhaps it's a party's retirement. Perhaps it is Um, remarriage. You know, the recipient getting remarried is going to terminate the maintenance payment from the other spouse because, of course, The court wouldn't expect the Expos to support you know their their prior Wife or husband? Yeah, yeah, if they have a new spouse, so that's going to terminate it. But any substantial change in circumstance could terminate maintenance, You know, disability. For example, Um, so there's not a finite list of what might terminate But, um, indefinite doesn't mean forever. So that's a very good point down and I think another point that is worth talking about. Is Who pays the tax on it. You know, I'm sure you come across that Dan and, um, talking with your clients about taxation. Yeah, The law changed on that years ago, it was deductible for the payer and the recipient had to pay. But that's changed. Now in that it is no longer deductible. The the person receiving it receives a tax free. Um, so big change their big change a couple years ago on that. Yeah, it doesn't shift any longer. It's treated just like child support is so whoever's paying it is paying the tax on it. Absolutely. We're going to take another break. We'll be right back. "Or Billy, as he is usually called his 18 year reign as president of the Massachusetts Senate is still to this day, the longest tenure in history. Once his historic run was finished, he became the president of the University of Massachusetts. He has also received his doctor of jurisprudence from Boston College Law school, and he has more than 20 honorary degrees from a wide variety of esteemed institutions. It is the one thing in life that is out of everyone's control. Family. They were lucky They didn't try the do nothing. That is James Bulger. You may know him better as Whitey Billy's story would never be complete without Whitey and vice versa. To examine the lives of the Bulger brothers, One must examine the brutal deaths of 19 relatively unknown souls. This is a story about evil incarnate. This is dirty rats. "No timetable yet I'm getting President Biden Infrastructure plan to a vote passing a comprehensive infrastructure investment packages. URGENT House Speaker Nancy Pelosi says and drafting legislation could start next month when we're ready. We have the best possible bill. That's when we'll go forward. President Biden's two and a quarter trillion dollar proposal so far likes any support from Republicans and a group of Democrats also want changes to a trump era tax provisions limiting deductions for state and local taxes. I'm a big supporter of their position, as you probably know, it was devastating to the state of California Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell.
