"Very good luck horse with a lot of talent. Any you know it's interesting because you look at you look at the schedule and there's probably a lesson here For you know for owners and that is you know you you to be patient and even with thirty thousand dollar purchase who missed his two year old season. you know. Look what you get now. I mean talk about what went on last year and a point of entry himself right was a late developer. I've shoghi explained a lot about him about his career. Sunday diner former. So you got a little bit of that but talk about his development and who broken. I got him started exactly. I mean You don't wanna rush one of them. And i think that That is the case with this horse. although he did train nicely allows fall He was almost ready to run in. November came up with astrid issue. We turn them out for the winterbottom back in in march Got him ready and he made his first start in june But yeah he was pretty much ready to run in november. I was hoping to run them at churchill november but he just came up with a very slight issue so we ended up just turning them out forget about him for the winter and then bring 'em back so it worked out good. Maybe it worked out dog for the better but He he He's a horse that we did like quite a bit. I mean we're we're looking forward to him coming back in. That's for sure. And any and i've got his entire work tab here in front of me which is really interesting. He got to the race track with you in october of last year. And as you mentioned you in poverty probably planning for You know that stars of tomorrow to card at the end of november and eventually by december after a couple of tries a couple of works at turf way he gets put away for five months and comes back at you know a much. I imagine a much more complete horse. You know an extra six months of development. You couldn't have expected him to to run like he did. Go and five and a half. He's not pedigrees. Certainly not a horse that you would have expected to win. I outgoing short. Well i'll tell you That's probably just tells us that. He's a good horse in god. Natural sprinter that's not what he's going to be real good at. He's going to be a distance and he'll he ran a mile the other day but he will going forward. He'll run much part in that. I believe but he was able to win five and a half time out because he's a good horse Just a naturally talented horse. But he's not a true friend or such But he was ready to run in june. And i wanted to run a church. Show where he was training and it just so happened that there were two maiden races on the grass on at five and a half and one mile and eight. And i didn't wanna start out at a mile and a first time outside that let's run them in the short rates and built from here but he was talented enough to get it done in that position i wrote him and he was very impressed with him Well this is exciting and happy. Happy for home wrecker To have a horse like this yeah. They're great people. We've won five grade one together Run not we've won five So that's We've had horses for them for a long long time but They've had some good horses in the past and It looks like they've got another one on their hands right now. The bushfire bushfire won three grade ones for home wrecker and myself and of course we had taylor's valentine more the house so Yeah they've been all modestly priced horses not expensive horses Yeah they've been they've been good Very very good flying for a long time. I love it. Well how how does the you know the rest of the season unfold For point me by well we'll we'll we'll run them. We'll run them in one of the tree grass stakes coming up. There's one at kentucky downs one douaumont. Then there's a few later on in the fall as well So when nominated him to all the appropriate rates even then we'll as we get a little closer will make a determination which one we should run them in next but I would assume he's gonna eat a rally belmont kentucky downs nice and maybe maybe the hollywood derby as a late season goal. I think so. I would think that would be on the on the cards for sure. Maybe the twilight derby we'll see. Yeah yeah. I mean we'll just take one race at a time point me by The secretariat slash. bruce d. and. The eddie i ask everybody else. most likely i imagine the last trip to darlington. Yeah shame really very beautiful track. And it's a shame that It's not gonna racing not going to continue at arlington The really should be something done to prevent it from happening. I don't know what that might be but Yeah i it's sad really it's It's a beautiful facility and Yeah i feel bad that The people in that area don't get won't be able to get to see it any longer through arlington. yeah no doubt now You came very close. We should note before. I ask you about anything coming up. W- should note that Came very close to a stakes. A weekend sweep because lady kate Coming off the the time away and it's been kind of an interrupted year. But the very nice lady k came back running at ellis in that groupie doll and just gets nailed late by brad cox's Donald burto tap. It philly yeah Artillery ran feuds. She was kleenex Lady solid philly. She wanted to groupie doll last. Sure from coming off. Layoff this year and did not have a prep. She hasn't run since the first week of april We gave her a bit of time off at the farm after that race and She'd come back really really well. And raising the groupie doll was exceptional and I think she could have a good paul. Nice the spinster or what. She's going to stay moderately. You know distance wise or or the you go longer while the the model and the exchange rates churchill opening weekend so that's probably where she'll run there she she's she likes churchill tomorrow. It's her prefer distance since. I think of milo let sixteenth is our best since anywhere around there. Mylan eight might be stretching but Yeah suit would run at churchill next most likely all going well well and of course last year the unusual the unusual And and impossible to duplicate groupie doll to the las ran No no no lingerie end in september this year right right great one at churchill that you're the whole schedule was kind of Moved last year But the rates the rates of churchill's great tree. And i think that's probably good spot for her. Next eddie how about a quick snapshot of a couple of maidens that are coming up and that includes tomorrow at indiana itsy-bitsy betty and Then blondeau At ellis on. Saturday bitsy betty is make per start tomorrow at indiana. She's a daughter of intimacy of the. She's making her first star. She's four so we had her ready to run last fall and she came up with an issue so unfortunately we had turned it back out for a second time She had few different issues earlier in the year. but She's she's come good right now and She drew derail which is not ideal for a starter. But she's very nice and she'll run real well. Stacks went and Blondeau You got You got atom. Bisque is a writing and this saturday afternoon in the fifth at At alice also a i or for green lantern and a home bred of there's A spite style goal. yeah he's nice we like him.

"Because it's way cheaper to do that than it is to get the car. In a state to get the whole crew there and to and to rice and then eastern championship would work really well And you know there's there's obviously a lot of tracks the But yeah it's it's it's it's you know. Look at super tuna six or seven rounds and they're probably eight hundred thousand dollars just on that It's crazy and i'm there Phone before you should be able to school down at a really competitive cross And still with travel still cheaper than a fate categories on now so There's always a way i'm show but Hey goes to him and the opinion that that work goes wrong in his sport. Everyone's got too many opinions on on how it works. Now you got three sons How old is now. Yeah so. I've got all of his came. Austin i and eliot to have decided gee did. So we'll let me that. It's interesting luke. Tom while you're right thing and enough staying back in the past with other. How had keep racing I think in accounting me would be a family sport. You need to go to get it because having a mechanic run issan even wanted to dan. What i think At the moment it's not possible and asked to do it You know all of my ten year old star six rice and tells me what factors i'm on what person based on what the that he into it but But until you can go and do it as a family. We we definitely haven't Haven't haven't pushed it in with the key is what are you want to do and pizza. Dream sunday footy. All he'd take forty. And if i told him others responsible okada type so They will enjoy it. But if you navigable one day. They're random enough. They're gonna wanna do it but is nothing yeah. No ranch style. Pick it up if i want later on when Quite a bit linemen We can all do it together. So maybe multi-year already like destroying things who Motorsports probably be perfect for a couple of years old well. The good thing is is nascar racing every and so you do get those weekends of football or basketball you can you relies on. I would say you can save up for those other weekend which. I imagine that you would be very enjoyable. Yeah actually the underwrites forty tarts though It's good good fun yet. you Yeah lucky to write and do what we do. But when you're at home and it's probably why the keeps done right because when we got hunt we do not leave motorsport at all. You just got home and you do what you gotta do it. Hard luck normal family. Don't take my just behind style Fraud i not and some daisies underwrite twenty and and types gender height forty plane star And when you go there it could find the key love that it's been talk together. And that's what i want to though Yeah we we love it and do everything is family and That's what it's about you know you. You you do what they wanna do. That's pretty well. You live when you got peaked. I i tell you what they want to do. And you support it and And then you got going to the end the right. The the gallon are on the team there. few win a couple of Have you had a gallon type. It's could find good to get away from murder sport and live a normal life. We'd share which is important. You and i've got something income now. We both currently underwrites eight. Football coaches did you. Did you go in and join the nfl. Get tips from there. Because you like may come from north of the border so it wasn't engrained grind in us as many would say fourteen. You walk all the The dummy where did it for ten minutes to and i and it took me four hours on on It was. I got solved the dream and it was not raw but Feel like now in full of fraud that more now probably ready to catch collingwood given the the online course we did But maybe your underwrite in mind having little interstate Little state of origin night. Well that would be interesting. What wisden cricket cats up against your man's we got the calling would calories yes rare Good little saw. We're ready to guy we need to do. You wanna fly. We're ready to raw. Hopefully before they're under fifteen's we could do something like that. Yea we'll probably do plan each other under thirty s but anyway Not good findings. Now it's you're living breaking and Obviously put everything that we do about when he got home. It nothing more rewarding than Than you think you con- and Pot of it. So i love it absolutely. Love it in that when you're a wii the things just for noble pods loss that You miss when you're y could find any thumb when i get back playing again and we can We can get back into it. "That you know which holly invested. He's done the work and he's got the team then we made to deliver and I feel like we're getting now through the flow process but You know when i joined we were twenty third. I think he was met the mind. Wish six. so we're going in the right direction. And i think gen trae should really suit at sane more than anyone because currently a customer and people aren't competition customers Where in gentry. We should all be tested. His cows all the control. Big us can trae should just skill knowable which lava they're gonna have to adapt alum. Fema yawkey cain gentry. We we should be more competitive living for wooden You're not telling motel but with it up. Well i'm really happy with the waiver. That greg james strong up and results will come. It's just taking a bit of calm. I saw some news today frosty which is said us particularly because you are a cattery newsouth wiles jonty squarely posted on facebook. Cullen hearst passed away today in while hospital. i don't know if you used to use her engines. But you certainly were in the counting scene there and you would have nine call and cullen and his his materials. Yeah we actually uranium engine When we won the nineteen ninety-six national in As i a bad memory you remember the good ones Ninety six national at pledged in and the engine was really quick and actually stalled that engine dumbbells for a for a ridiculous amount of money which funded by kathi for another for the and that we rent for a little bit but that engine it was. It was a really good engine and He he was pretty of allegiant at the sport he Works very close team. Craig who is also another big sport. and yeah good. Good a great choice. Haute payday dawes Fall away because and in the gaza groom the they keep a lot of interesting and engine builders pot of the whole process. Because i teach you a lot and Tom entity into You know you to get results so so yeah we rent a little bit but Yeah obviously that it's An age now loaded the the cottage from from that era You miss you. Even look at jim morton and those cars as well It's very sad. It's not. It's not a good story when you gave when he definitely said us and he was the party sport especially you know troy hunt. Who is one of them on nine. Competitors back in the county is t read her Yeah obviously caught me cosby allegations as well with united with a fuss engine cerrone. Yeah definitely bad news. I was lucky enough to meet jim. you know very injuries life but I do remember the impact he had on yours. And and jackson brought directly Formula forward you know is A wonderful category and you would be. I imagined absolutely delighted to see the things that are happening. Now in the background You'd be well aware of the mistakes being made by but it can important categories and. Can you just talk about wall five. It was so important for you when you go into development series. It's time brothers that you was so much better prepared because you've been in formula ford well. I was lucky. All iran raise mike foale the spectrum there and they they run at professional athletes Totting very good results. And what did you learn you crossed and all that saw but you work with your family and then you go from to working with a team and understanding people mechanics. dada Aerodynamic restraining order. Sort of rice cross. That totting doesn't teach you go to that makes fifth and learn and You know in critical program bear in and And the budget. It was the progression spend Maybe rented one hundred twenty thousand dollars a year. Some competitive were over the to hundreds but you could still be competitive at at that amount where you know these days you literally a and what where do you go if there's no direct category and that the guy was the perfect thing goes toddy from the ford konica theories civic the and there was four levels or whatever you come out of todd alm afford porsche of the count you The list goes on formula. Four we got like seventy option Yeah a full from the ford city field. There's no better way to learn your rice crop mine. Had you with emotions a little bit of pay our little bit of Doubt or not it. Gets you ready. Feel they mixed with fat and looking now. The young crop of guys coming through it hidden this econ peak at that. God's gonna make it in Luckily could back in the day. So all the nasties really important and It should be the fate of category two to sit the to it always was and Like i said it was a massive made to feel and to say getting traction again and It's good song. But i made to be on the calendar and It needs to be the category academy at the monmouth too. Many many options that too much money and we missing good talent Purely for that reason you still puzzle me enormous way. I had a terrific interview with mike pool. Which we're currently running on inside sport talking to him about it and and The development of formula ford the thing that was puzzled to wine which you know that far too much of a formula for drivers budget whether it's his family budget or sports budget thought too much was being spent in motels airlines and travel. You should be spending far more on the actual event racing and the idea of actually running for ford so that you having to go to darwin and and i it's just crazy you know they should be you know a number of times. Would you agree with that. I mean spending all that money on airlines and motel rooms. It's just doesn't make sense. Yeah it's crazy I can guarantee waiting. Spend it on how hills because because running chuck when we rise mallalah with With martin He had He had full on his room. I had fixed and he can find that he didn't speak so we went agree with spending it on accommodation but But yeah it's nasty. It's a message can We spent a lot of money to get. There actually couldn't afford taller. I'm brian. utah has proposed and a local guy in input Actually funded me instead of on cars because like you say we spent all that money just to get the khazei. we had. Non list bought toys. So which kinda remind us and Get through the weekend can get some points and come harm. So it's it's crazy and yeah a lot of good tracks but todd you'll miss me to. Has you'll cobb biked at marks. And if you from where you from dow one or from somewhere you need to practically pay him to run it baseline rice and gone.

"Got a very strong bites of good thinking Beyond you'd say that a second ago but it must be enormous. Besides my i mean you know enormously always reputation and now experiencing that to add to. What through and manuel and stay in isn't it. It must Obviously in charlie cook would be enormously satisfied to put that same together with you and scott by driving for me. It's very strong good. Yeah even And it's right that you build an environment entertain and that people want to join and you know all those dogs have got options expert for jobs. They obviously in high demand so You know charlie on a job to put it together and win join in two thousand and on a Was a completely different looking. Came to what we've got now so You know the the the always to have a team that people sort of thought to come to and and You wanna be fine. No two people not desperate to take account and You know he's such a good. Boston runs a great show with no. you know. once you're in a understand why people want to join it but The very lucky. It's a great makes the minnows. Our crew chief is johnny moore. He was a number one. That takes it into an picked championships. History together too. So we've got the raw mixers engineering mon- fit and then The mechanical monson as well In the paint and make it work because you. You always made that that balance. Like i said before you need different strength but you need smart people and you need certain go so So yeah we're really well covid and that the results having all these things and not getting results and.

"Welcoming tiny gorilla. And we're joined by while champion of the category mark winterbottom markets. Imagine you were trumping. Get back into rice guy food. Yeah yeah Really taught at it's Visible we'd Savings again because We were ready to roll Sort of headgear. Day off on that and then we didn't get to go out to paul or by things that we're going to happen now. Yes odile when we re get all those sort of again with the tip afonso really looking forward to it sitting there will be no so it might show that let him. I did not know the guy right thing. The hidden valley track to oversee went on to tom. You've been to his home probably more then. It has a lot of appeal about it. Doesn't it our from a long strike to we have but if the interesting drive on. Our many view aren't really lock. It i'll like the festivus dot to the big drag trip down the front straight and then It's quite technical in the middle. This little kurds and it could Can have a big impact so A little tricks of the tribe that if you get it raw really folks up so a that nickel busy Across the middle there and and then obviously the hate that the mets the big thing to bed dow when you get pork rice and they get high aggregation although pretty high group track get high predation and And some good right thing so Yeah always loved it. It's one of the favorite rans year. it's The trucks good. I think the format the the hate and all that sort of throws in the knicks the naked one of the best events. Yeah definitely high out there. And it's quite friendly. Tim he to result. So i walked. Lock it even more for. That reason also alerted drivers. Say it's just one of the fascinating things. He's not remember going up very thirsty. We went they win. Russell ingle i think it was the winner of the round but very first time we went there. I woke up the round back and watch the news. A couple of places you can see cows going round corners. More than any other tracks It's fascinating ranging needs to go and look at because they can learn a lot about the way of com moves. Yeah oh it's very visible obviously can save a whole track from From a few points. I don't the good bad thing once. I start watching that getting involved because sometimes the They can see things that can can sorta confuse them but but they thought to raid into it as well so Yeah it obviously that hit sport to watch from what you learned from the thought and what you learn from inside and outside the dada. Some tong is different but But yeah from a standpoint of view. I i get the whole track. It's a very cool place in that in that aspect literally pick a spot Sometimes in the back of the With a poll or something whatever. They've caught up there. And i can say the whole trekking counterfeit very naked the one of the track genuinely and will thank. You can say. I can actually say whole tracks so Very unique i'll draw you attention. The fact unique is one of those absolute words company. A little bit pregnant you company a little bit. Unique unique is an absolute okay so on one of the things that About your career is because you started in three in the mind game Full tournament full. Okay so you won the championship in Development series cons You have actually been in. All phases of the categories instance development Now you to use in the development series with time runs a quick one year one year in chronic back then What would you seri- so yeah. Two thousand and three was Was the conscious series back then and to four trading with lock. I'm saw the only one year one year was done brothers. And of course you you see my Son brothers would have seen Myers ambrose and russell ingle wouldn't have been there. I would he Yep yeah it was. Ingle and ambrose with two at the time and you'll cow. Was you know the old car is but obviously you know championship winning. It proves to bayview as they went on. Win the next three championships. Four five and six three four five. You've seen the development and the changes over the years and now we're getting ready. The knicks is rationing of this category. Three is it's called I know you've made some comments about panels that sort of the most high profile aspect of it. You'll failings in the panel. Shift coming to sue because Well are staying lucky. Say a lot of different generations of cobb identity like any has had Probably the biggest change to walk where thing now incentives that You know what's coming but unfortunately we haven't really as dropped. Its thing or involved with anything really that the that's the hot pot to draw to be commenting on the cars Is very difficult at the moment. Because we get minimal suck The biggest thing that they got the mind published a paddle shifts on hero. They're bad and i think if it He's engine cost and all that sort of actual so be it but But you know there's lots of aspects these car that they're gonna take place all tandis know as much as someone listening to your podcast or Or rating election. Whatever whatever it is because You kind of raised about what's happening and not nice. Oh that the biggest thing paint pedal chief. Because that's the biggest fundamental draw change but Signed much of that car Is different you know. They let their their law. They want And so on so crate engines. Control bit it. He's genuinely off the biggest shifts. Amen support. We're gonna stay hungry and i am. Pleased can draw because Allegedly get raw and if i don. The shift scored on the same for all You know at times but they know eastbourne no massively function up changing agree or if they knock she turns it a bit. But what we've been happening. Three in a cornucopia or even that off fish from what we run today to be honest predicting and reading and sorta getting an on. What's issues like a completely different pile but interesting tallinn's where he Y- hopefully get it wrong to get one crack at tom. And obviously if would it often meet you do but It is a big shift on connects or from a point of view. Timing.

"Apparently the guy who ran the to restore and book, the musical acts played by Tate. Donovan in the movie was quite a character and a well known guy like you know, we're finding. European you have since stuff like that. But they kind of acted like it was like, I felt like after the Google that guy who owned the tubular who's booking all these bands, because he's obviously older way older than any of the kids. Doug Weston Weston started the troubadour didn't isn't. It is club. Yeah. His name on the marquee, Doug lessons troubadour presents, and then fill in the blank. Yeah. So anyway, you know, here's Elton John and his suspenders and a star shirt, and I believe it was suspender painter pants the white run. Gosh, you remember I loved pants and painter band, so anyway, in L. Tony's got this group of musicians, and it's just all these hippie kids in their fringe, and it's the West Hollywood scene in here comes this kinda geeky looking English guy who sits down at a piano in this rock and roll any highness starts out that crocodile rock. Thing sort is slow, and then the musicians kick in and then ever just like, wow, what is the song? So his anyone remembered that it was a it was a Saturday morning show or Sunday morning show that featured that sawn does anyone remember that from the seventies that again, are you thinking about his performance on the muppet show. No, because that's what comes up, but there was a show on Saturday mornings like HR public. It was like I want to say with wink Winterbottom, but I know he did. Gambit. Martin. Better. But there was a Saturday morning show in the seventies that always featured in. It wasn't electric company like zooms, but there was a show. Okay. And they always say that song and the weekends. That's a tough one. If anyone else five one six for one I'm going to find it because that's why I hate that's on. It was this show that would always play it. But you donate, it the way it's done in this movie. And then the other song your song. Yeah. Okay. So Al at the big little ice, premier Keith, and Nicole set down because remember, she's saying that Moulin Rouge. Oh, she saying and Moulin Rouge? Mcgregor differ version, and she and keys to it. And of course that is in the movie, and I play has a lot of amazing songs. I know Godzilla and I know they're saying some other movies, but I think Brock man, people are going to go and see it, and they're going to win Ma the scary movie with Arcadia, where all the teen two and a half stars. "He don't make make berry eclectic films often political in nature, and this is just get to tell you may remember from Slumdog millionaire. He he played the young man and swim millionaire Patel plays a man from Britain, traveling to Pakistan extensively to abducted woman who's getting married, so it's sort of a real I don't want to give too much away about shit because the tosses little ticky. But Michael Winterbottom is a direct has a great ability to make the very real almost documented like films, but this is also very tense and thrilling. I liked that one a lot. All right anything else. We should see this weekend or not. I mean visit. Well, there's a so called the kids by actually directed by Vincenzo fear, the director Ethan as Pat Garrett and Dane DeHaan as Billy the kid, although the kid type lecture to someone else in the south. So it's a western set in eighteen seventy nine I think in in New Mexico. It's it's a it's a pretty much a classic western good white hat black hat thing. Something not quite right about this time. I liked the performances from Ethan Hawke and endanger Han, and Chris Pratt it to playing a very violent guy. It just doesn't quite hang together. You never quite invested in the characters enough to care about the story. It looks fantastic. I mean, it's a beautiful western it's got the skylines. The old. You know? Dusty towns. I mean, it looks good like western I can't watch western. Oh, really? You wonder like? No, where's the phone? They don't have a cell phone. They don't have anything. Right around at a horse. Yeah. Well, that is true. They didn't have back then. Well, you know, I I can't say I recommend the kid enormously. It didn't really work for me. But as a counter programming to Gloria belt, the hat, Laura team, captain mogul, perhaps the west is the up your alley, but Gloria belts the film to see this weekend. Hey, Alison, great talking to you. Thanks for being with us. Thank you. Check out Allison bills dot com. Yeah. I can't watch western. It's too stupid. You see when they pull up they they right into town. They get to the saloon. They get out. They take the rope from the horse, and they wrap it around this bar. That's it. That's how you tie up your horse and used to be easier in the old days you have to look for parking spot. I know, but that's it. Nobody can take your neighbors. I wrap the rope around twice who could take my horse. Now this no security system though alarm if you stole him you would get on. I don't know Alcatel one horse from the other. You know, you come out, and there's also you watch those westerns with a guys riding around. He's got a little saddle bag, and he writes to another ten that's it. That's all he's got in the world. I didn't change their clothes very often. Well, then who cleaned them who watched him nothing made sense in those. It didn't make any sense at all. Elizabeth Warren just announced this the you know, the big tech companies. Everybody's starting to focus. You know? They're always after the big oil big oil this big oil that nobody ever looked at big tech this Google Amazon. Facebook Exxon is a nothing it's a little mom and pop operation committed these companies. So Elizabeth Warren has announced he's gonna propose legislation to break up the big tech companies. Wow. Good luck with that. You have now unleashed forces against you that will crush you. Coming up in the mid we'll talk to Madison Malloy, the great comedian about. He does this stuff about men and dating, and you know, think if I could just land some billionaire that would be the perfect relationship. You'll hear why it's not and also why nobody can go on a date anymore. These millennials can't go on dates. They don't do this anymore. Well, they'll you'll find out why.
