Senator Marsha Blackburn Speaks About The Corona virus And Election Security
"So much what a pivot to to a senator Marsha Blackburn who is joining us and she is a Republican from Tennessee and senator Blackburn thank you so much I know that you have not only been coping with this issue with regards to cook at nineteen but of course in your home state you have got a lot of people that are hurting and regrettably that are that are making funeral preparations at this hour and for that you have our deepest condolences well thank you for that and we appreciate the condolences and prayers and Tennessee is the volunteer state and I will tell you yesterday when I was out and out Wilson county Davidson county Putnam County which has been the hardest hit to see all the volunteers that showed up to help and volunteers in the churches that are coming around these families who are now planning funerals and in the midst of homes being destroyed in businesses being destroyed they are standing with these families and helping them get through a time of just deep deep grief and sorrow as they have lost homes and livelihoods and have lost these precious lives and are experiencing that grief senator Blackburn I was reading about to that there was a young couple the husband wife and a child all three of whom perished invests in that storm system those that tornado outbreak I mean you're talking about a generation of of a of a family that is just been eliminated and and how the how other members of family cope with that to me is just a it's a grief that I pray none of us ever know that **** well you're exactly right and to see these families and in the midst of this grief they're out searching for even a picture something from that family that they can use as they go through the process of remembering and the sadness fear the children that have died in this is the children that are hospitalized right now with injuries and the numbers that are hospitalized and have the injuries and Putnam County with eighteen deaths that are there it's just devastating and you look at this area of Baxter which is right outside of Cookeville Tennessee there in Putnam County is a community of about twelve hundred people and they've got a hundred and twenty five homes and businesses that no longer exist they're gone it is a field of rubble and it is just it is just devastating and there's they were using one building that was standing as kind of their command center there was a another market that was still standing one down the road was totally gone gas pumps market everything gets a sign of it anybody's ever walk to the this scene after a tornado it's it'll take your breath away the damage in Maine yeah I've been in war zones hurricanes tornadoes and I have never seen anything like this and are you satisfied help senator of Blackburn are you satisfied with the federal response thus far I have you been in contact with the trump White House I have been in touch with the president with the White House I was on the ground yesterday with the regional administrator for FEMA a team of which is the Tennessee emergency management association has a website set up it is T. N. dot gov forward slash team at T. E. M. A. I. individuals can go there and get information on how they access help but the governor in Tennessee is doing a good job we'll have the president on the ground tomorrow people are looking forward to having him there so that he can see firsthand so we're talking to sue us senator Marsha Blackburn and senator we saw also that your that the Tennessee governor had held a news conference this morning saying that Tennessee has the first confirmation of cold hit nineteen as well also from middle Tennessee talk about adding insult to injury as you guys are coping with the tornado damage you're also dealing with this covert nineteen outbreak that is correct in the state health department I had the confirmation on this case yesterday it is a forty four year old male he lives in Williamson County which is right outside of Nashville that Sir Brentwood Franklin area I he had attended an international conference which was held in the United States after he returned home he did not feel well so eventually as his system and his symptoms worsened he decided to go to take medical care and that is when he was tested and he is quarantined at home with his family now we we have seen some of the measures in places like China some of the European measures when it comes to this slowing the spread of cove it nineteen and and some other areas are taking pretty significant measures that we have not yet taken here in the United States one of which being the the UK government announcing that they're going to pay for people's sick leave from day one if they self quarantine image can you imagine every single taxpayer being on the hook for everybody's staying home from work in a two week or more self quarantine one one of the things I think said and we're receiving regular updates Dr sale team is doing a tremendous job N. ambassador Burke of leading the effort working with the vice president who is handling this they are very thoughtful they are getting information to us they are transferring information to your state and local health authorities and I certainly believe that the reason you have seen a slower spread here in the U. S. then you have in other countries it is because of the actions the president took immediately on restricting travel from China the restrictions have since placed on Italy and on South Korea analysts say also the actions that are being taken by many companies I know many companies are now placing our travel restrictions on individuals until we know more about the incubation time the covet nineteen and on the the symptoms how long the disease last things of that nature some people are are of the of the mindset senator Blackburn that the corona virus outbreak could have an effect on the the upcoming presidential election of the presidential nominating process though with with Bernie Sanders now out and he was or or at least seemingly mathematically out I don't wanna say these out loud but seemingly mathematically out it will I I would have thought he would have done better on super Tuesday as he is the man who is advocating for universal health care and that would be something that that some supporters of Bernie Sanders think would help when it comes to the outbreak of of the corona virus are are you surprised that or or are you concerned that the corona virus could have an effect on the process of electing our next president I I don't think that it will I think that knowing Tennesseans and I think many Americans are like them and they feel that our country three is when you look at the issues of security whether it is economic security national security border security and access to services like healthcare and making certain that we are addressing issues like the environment with clean air clean water that many of the stepsisters ministration have take has taken our steps in the right direction and they are pleased with that and people are going to go to the polls they are going to vote for Donald Trump it looks like it is said to senator Marsha Blackburn a Republican from Tennessee and I I wanted to kind of learn the last question here Fauria switch topics kind of a hard pivot here one of your colleague senator Marco Rubio left a video message on his Twitter page last night let me just play a portion of this you can see what he's advocating here and I'll get your reaction things

"I've been in the natural healthcare field for over thirty years, and it works maybe can read some success stories, but we want to get back with Michael here. He's the founder of steered straight, and he's been working getting people and educating people on what's going on in the world, and especially in America on drugs, like street drugs and not only street drugs, but pharmaceutical drugs to correct might pharmaceutical drugs. You know is out of control gang. I always tell people. I'm not a doctor. I don't even play one on TV. So I don't give medical advice, but I can tell you the I can tell you what's happening on the back end. I can tell you what's going on with kids and psycho tropics and stimulants meeting so many so many so many families that are feeding their kids stimulant medication three four five six years of age and putting kids on Xanax. I mean, we just had a eight year old girl. Came up to us in a presentation that about two weeks ago. And she said, do you think zanex is bad? And I'm like well told you I'm not a doctor. I really don't have. But what do you mean? Why would you ask such a question? Mom's on zanex sisters on zanex. She's on Xanax. I I couldn't even fathom that eight year was asking me this question. She says sometimes, you know, if I would feel kind of funny, I take extra Xanax, and it makes me feel better. I just wanted to just throw up. Yeah. And we we we definitely there's those that industry doesn't want cures. They want customers. Right. But I all I can tell us what's happening on the back end the consequences. And I'm just I wanna make I wanna change. What's happening? I love what you said. Hey, listen, medication is short term. You know tool. Right. So long term solution. There's no chemical solution to a spiritual problem. So yeah, you're absolutely right. And I I'm hearing children that are as young as two years old on antidepressants. That's crazy. We're gonna we're gonna go to the phones for just a minute, Barbara you have a question for Michael. Yes. Thank you so much for this feature program, Dr fully very enlightening. I sort of knew something was the Neath the surface with all of this. But Michael is really bringing thanks to the surface. My question for Michael have you made any presentations in the Wilson county school system. Tennessee Wilson county, Tennessee. So we just we just did our second mailing to every school in Tennessee. We we're Tennessee residents like improve that I have a driver's license. Tennessee. I I always tell people I was born and raised in Ireland and Ireland's God's country. But now, I say Tennessee's were guide comes on vacation. So. I love the people here. I love him. So I can't even begin to tell you how glad we are to be here. So my mission and my goal. There's there's a lot of the reasons why we chose Tennessee. But personally me I like, my wife said Tennessee, and I try to listen to my wife because she knows everything. And she's so smart, but I I really wanted to be in Tennessee because I see this region under the next five to seven years under such attack with different drugs and pharmaceutical drugs I wanted to be based here and serve here. So I've I haven't spoken at any schools in Wilson county. So I wanna do is get into as many, schools and counties before the end of the fiscal year. And then let every county in Tennessee know that I'm here. What I'm presenting? I have twenty seven different presentations, but vaping and juuling the electron devices is our number one presentation right now marijuana's number two and and alcohol is number three in the pharmacy. Drugs number four as far as drug topic requests. But I wanna get into Wilson county every school. Okay. Well, that's great. I'm going to take a look at your website for more information. This is the first I've heard of you and your mission. So thank you so much. Do you take volunteers so to speak to kind of help with your school programs or anything like that? Oh, absolutely. I mean last year alone. I did six hundred sixteen school presentations. I've been in front of over five million kids. I want to own a show people and teach people and train people. How to teach their story not just tell their story. But teaching and have them understand any other ten modules that go with our program. So volunteer speakers is huge. We're more of a Nieta volunteers who can help us reach communities because I could bring in a presentation not every administrator wants to do an assembly, but they could bring in our programs. They could bring in our education. They could bring in our curriculum and not have to just bring in our, you know, our module number one, the speaker. So we need people to help us call. I also want to get into prisons. I do about one hundred fifty prisons year ninety five percent of the man who raised their hand that they have a child ninety five percent of women raised their hand that they have a child. So now, you have children of incarceration, parents and the effects of that incarceration is trauma on the child. So we need to address adverse childhood experiences and. Try to help the people turn their life around. I don't want to listen some people need to be in prison. I get that for the rest of their life. Let's leave him there. They won't turn their life around that won't change. They have no remorse, evil minded people. But that's only in my opinion, ten percent of the prison population. Maybe twenty eighty percent of the people in prison needs to come out and contribute to society and be parents and siblings and be sons and daughters. So I want to go into prisons and help them understand. And I have a whole curriculum program for them to it's free to departments of corrections is free to prisons. It's called criminal on I deliver it into this school into the prison systems. And it's literally life changing I can give it and put it into the hands of every prisoner and every inmate in our country. Well, more power to you. I'm I'm I'm impressed. I'll take a look at your again. I'll take a look at your website. Is there a tab or some way to connect to you? If I want to volunteer in some ways county phone numbers right on there. And we're having an office in murphysboro, Tennessee as we can figure out how to afford it. But we don't need to come to an office. You can do all this work at home on the internet on your phone, but there's a tab right there info at steered straight dot org. And it comes right to me right to the boss, but we need volunteers, and we can show you exactly what to do. We can set you up electrically. So you can get this information into the hands of people so steered straight, Oregon, and you can contact us right through there. Alrighty. Thank you so much what you're doing. Thank you. Dr Foley, and I'll follow up through other very interesting the topic. And thanks for listening. Barbara. You're welcome Bye-bye. Okay. So darla we're going to bring you in on this. Okay. Good. We got your mic on. All right. So is there anything you'd like to say, you you and Mike actually work together on this? Right. This is a husband and wife team. Right. Yeah. We've been doing this alone time. Operation. So Michael was talking about a couple of different things. And you know, a lot of people when we go into the schools, and he speaks invariably one of the questions that they ask is what's the difference between medical marijuana and recreational marijuana, right? And a lot of people don't understand. So, you know, for someone who is who has users children who have issues like that or cancer treatments there prescribed by a doctor or or they can get the oil in an oral pill this record, right? That's recommended by a doctor. So they can get that in a cream or an oil that they ingest orally versus you know, the what the marijuana that people are talking about across the country is smoking it, right? We don't smoke are medicine. We just don't you? Don't go into the the anesthesiologist doesn't come into your room hospital. And you're going to have a surgery and say, okay, let's smoke are in a state that doesn't happen. Right. So that's the. The difference. You know, it's the only reason that someone would smoke marijuana is to get high right because when after twelve percent content in THC CBD, the CBD as the THC content rises, the CBD goes away. It's gone. Right. And then, you know, a lot of our young people don't understand what happens to the brain. When you smoke marijuana. It's weeks across the top of the brain. And disconnects your neurotransmitters, which makes you slower to react. It makes you not easily learning things it does a lot of different things. And it takes a long time for those to reconnect, right? So. Yeah. Huge difference. I mean, there's between three hundred and four hundred molecules in the marijuana plant. Now, we don't even know that we've been studied now thirty seven, and so there's only one that gets you high. And that's what they're harnessing. That's what they're extracting. That's what they're selling. That's what they're infusing edibles with to get you high Canada. Dial is a different molecule completely different like the one gentleman earlier, John that said that Mark it's in the therapist. I mean, was it therapist? John. Professional in the field. Right. Many people understand this. But most of America, doesn't I someone told me the other day sixty percent of people in Tennessee surveyed believe marijuana should be legalized. That's because sixty percent of the people do not know what what's going on. They're they're targeting our children. They're not targeting us. I don't I don't have an opinion. And you say this all the time. I don't have an opinion on someone who's over twenty one twenty two years old who wants to smoke. Wait. I don't care. Don't don't drive a car while you're doing that in and hurt me, you know, they're targeting our children. They're not targeting us. You know, you have the Lally the lollipop pops that pop tarts. Oleo cookies, the cat the cats those things are not targeted to us. They're targeted to our children. And a lot of people don't know this. You wanna tell so Coca Cola is partnering with a company in Canada to infuse all Coca Cola products with marijuana. Yeah. I read that somewhere. I was like shocked many alcoholic companies are doing the exact same thing. Infuse marijuana or what we're calling marijuana, right? Into coverages is an yes, you're next up new. You said you said something earlier children as young as two years old harping pedaled antidepressants right in Colorado. The the physicians in Colorado where advised that when women come in her pregnant that they see a, you know, as for their OB consults. To tell them that they shouldn't drink the water one in three babies in Colorado are born addicted to THC and ashamed. Drink the water because there's t h. Right. Right. Right. Yeah. And also from zero to one years old there are babies being put on antidepressants because they're addicted oh from zero to one years old. Yeah. Now, can you tell me as as euro as a person who cannot even speak that you have in Zaidi? Yeah..
