He lived in Ah, Summit just that the town that's just north of what the material and he told me that his parishioners of Joe Stuff in Summit believes that this little girl named Anna nor Cassie, who had died on the eve of her 13th birthday in 1927 was actually the girl who had become resurrection there. And let me tell you, I put the picture. It's a fascinating story that you told me I needed gathered so much evidence about it. And I actually put the picked the communion first Communion photo of an anarchist because she had been buried in her first communion dress because she had just recently made her communion before a job. I put her picture on the cover of my second button. Nine men contacted me and told me that that was a girl that they had picked up on Archer Avenue with stories that some of them as early as the 19 forties, some of them as recently as when I was writing. Someone had just picture up a couple of months before he contacted May and I had someone people will say, Do they still pick her up? Someone contacted me about three or four years ago who had just moved to Chicago and he was a truck driver had move Chicago to get around where you go home at night, and he was passing through downtown summit about four o'clock in the morning, and he saw this girl and he's a first communion drives with the communion veil on and short blond hair like a Bob haircut. Standing on the corner kind of dancing around and laughing four o'clock on a Wednesday morning and it contact me and I moved in Chicago and I was wondering if there are any ghost stories a lot of really wild. Oh, yeah, Like a matter of fact, there are well and you talk about dancing. I mean, just down, right Bye bye. There's the Willowbrook. Baltimore wasn't Willowbrook Ballroom before before it burned down in 2016. But that whole stretch of Archer Avenue. And the Willowbrook Ballroom are all tied in to this story in some way. Yes, you know, I you know, with this pandemic and everything with our records were shut down for almost a month. And so I was just going crazy trying to come up with ways to keep in touch with, you know, with our followers and everything, and I was started making these little documentaries and I made it But, paradoxically, an hour long documentary about the ghost of Archer Avenue, which is on YouTube if anyone's interested in watching it, but it really is fascinating. I have come to believe the Archer Avenue is what many people call a line and this is like an ancient line or track in the environment that has, like sacred or spiritually energies. And I think Native Americans really put down their roads or their trails over the sacred or spiritual lines of energy because you'll find that along these ancient trails in Chicago there all of our diagnosis treat like Milwaukee Grand Avenue, Naked Avenue, Archer Avenue. These are all the ancient Indian trails. You find a lot of paranormal activity lobby and there is no more haunted. A version of US and Archer Avenue. We call it the art Gravity triangle. Actually, that whole area that whole like halos, Forest Reserve, just division and Archer Avenue, Keone Avenue. All those cemeteries that are there the water in the area. Q. That we think really contributes to the paranormal activity. Water. Such a great conduit prepare normal activity. The other Willowbrook Ballroom, you know, it was known famously as the place where abouts reactionary had her last dance. He would often dance with this mysterious woman there and then try to drive her home on via navels because advantage from the car But you know, the owners of the Willowbrook which talk to me all the time, about the fact that the place is very haunted, not just by her, and there were a lot of encounters with ghost out on the dance floor and in different areas of the building. So it was a very actively haunted place. You're not surprisingly somewhere like that that was so beloved. Why so many people over so many years. I know it's such a bummer that it burned to the ground in October 2016 that has been the conversations about rebuilding it, But I mean, this is a place that hosted bands like How Basie, The Glenn Miller Orchestra, Chubby Checker, the Village people. I mean, this was kind of a little local hub, but I remember I put my grandparents are buried at Resurrection Cemetery. Remember going past The Willowbrook Ballroom just after I heard that story and saw the sign it and freaked me out, just knowing that's where so many of these stories came from. It's so true, you know, we had we had We have our paranormal conference every year and people come from all over the world really come this conference and we just had our We were gonna have our 13 1 this year. "Yeah, on that, because if it point blank range and going through that tissue, it was come through an arm and into the other arm of the other person. So what do they have on the search for this person case where they did just that night? They didn't It was too soon to have a description. Yesterday afternoon, They gave a description of a black band 28 to 30 years old with dark clothing. And was last seen running north bound. So when you see the footage and you see that person running away, he's running north. And then they say he was last seen in a dark, four door sedan heading north bound on Willowbrook Avenue, and that's all they have. That said, And he got this. From what the train station surveillance. They got partially from that, and the one of the deputies was able to give the description 20 to 30 years old blackmail, dark clothing. City, and he said nothing. Nope. When he fired. It didn't say something They haven't said that did not released that yet. If they have, he has they haven't said. There's no better images and the ones they're showing on TV. There are some other surveillance and I don't know if you've seen the footage now from the other surveillance camera. The reason you're seeing it crappy the way it is is because someone is sitting there, recording it off of a monitor with Sheriff's Department. Oh, on their phone. And then they're taking it from their phone in transferring it over and they're sending it. That's why, because that stuff is basically leaked. That is not an official video from the sheriff's department in the in the beginning of life, So that's why you're getting distorted because it's coming off of a screen. But there are other angles. There is an angle now that shows the deputy's taking shelter under what I can only describe as some sort of an alcove there at the train station. That's the photo I saw with all the blood spilling out of her jaw right, But there is video of that. I can show the Tian break, but they're that she's helping him and she administers a tourniquet to him. And she did you see all the blood on her face, and then he hit on her shirt. You see him? You see his whole bloody head and you see him hurt, comforting him and he's you can sell. You can tell. He's disoriented. You can tell. He's just kind of moving and trying to stay alert and awake and she's got him. And at one point he kind of leans on her, and she's holding him and then gets him down and seated in a seated position, and then she bends down and she's putting that tourniquet on his arm where he got hit. And he was bleeding pretty badly. This is their regular patrol to be there at the camp today with their transit deputies in sheriff. In fact, I've got some audio from the sheriff and the detective describing the other night. If you know why don't you hang on, and we will get to that next. Steve Gregory, of course, has been right on this story of two L. A county sheriff's deputies who were shot while sitting in their patrol car at the train station and Compton Saturday night. Republicans introduce House version of bill banning infanticide after failed abortions

"If a mothers in labor, I can tell you exactly what would happen. The infant would be delivered. The infant would be kept comfortable the infant would be resuscitated. If if that's what the mother and the family desired, and then a discussion would ensue between the physicians and the mother, oh, by the way, he's a pediatric surgeon those pictures of the person in black face on his page, and in a Ku Klux Klan outfit. That's you know, he's a medical student. He's a pediatric doctor apparently. So let me understand the. So you know, we'll deliver the baby who make sure the baby's comfortable. And after the baby's comfortable. Then the mother's going to decide whether if the baby's in need of medical attention, whether or not help resuscitate the baby, okay? There is a human living soul that is apparently being kept comfortable living on its own a human being, and then well, we'll let the mother decide you wanna keep it or not keep it. Then we'll have a discussion with the doctors and the mom not. Maybe we'll go down to the maybe we'll go down to the kitchen or the commissary in the hospital and see what that's like I mean, it is beyond gruesome now, it's expanded to Rhode Island and New Mexico and California and oh now Massachusetts has gotten on board. They wanna similar Bill. It was a motion in the Senate to protect babies born alive from an abortion, Democrats, wouldn't even let it come up for a vote that would have offered protections for babies have even botched abortions that lived you. Don't think it happens. It did. It it does. Now joining us is Melissa Odin. She is an abortion attempt survivor, and by the way is gone on to live a great life. As I understand it as two daughters of her own. She didn't miscarry one son. She speaks out loudly for the voiceless, and we also have with us, doctor Levin Tino. Dr levered Tino started doing abortions in nineteen seventy seven in New York state. During his residency graduated in nineteen eighty went into private practice. I in Florida than in New York and five years doctor Levin, Tino, he performed over twelve hundred abortions, including one hundred second trimester saline abortions. And then later DNA abortions up to twenty four weeks. And they both join us now. Thank you for being with us. Thank you. Melissa odin. So. Your mom, tried to abort you. But you're alive. What happened? Well, I was the type of procedure Dr Lepetit. No, did I am a saline abortion survivor, and it was also in nineteen seventy seven. So you know, what I know is that my birth. Mother was nineteen years old. She was a college student, and she was actually forced into this abortion by her mother. My maternal grandmother who was a nurse at the hospital where it was performed. So this type of procedure was meant to poison and Skuld me to death. And my medical records actually indicate that I soaked in this toxic sell solution for five period while they attempted to induce my birth mother's labor. And finally that fist day they succeeded. I was expelled from the womb in the final step about abortion procedure. And of course, they thought I would you delivered as a successful abortion, otherwise known as the deceased child, but lo and behold, I was born alive. It's unbelievable now did you ever confront your mother about this? Yeah. So I'm adopted and didn't know that I survived a sealed abortion until I was fourteen. How did you find out? By complete accident. Really? It was a pretty traumatic thing. But my sister, my older sister. Let me know that there was more to the story of my life. And I sat her mother down and never expected for her to say, you know, you survived a failed abortion, and you know, it's devastating. I wish the other side of this issue could understand how traumatic it is to live this kind of life. This is not an easy truth to live through or to live in this kind of do you have any residual physical or mental impact from this. And other oil, you're describing emotional, but are there any physical issues that you've had to deal with as a result of what you're describing is utter brutality. Right. Not long term. So when I first survived the day thought, I had a fatal heart defect there were arguments about whether I would be provided medical care. I've actually been contacted by nurses at that Haas. Spital who were there? I'm gonna meet one of them next month probably face to face for the first time. But I know that there were arguments that they laid me aside that certain people didn't wanna provide me medical care. And so when somebody actually mother your your real mother, ever apologize. Yeah. So I'm one of the few abortion survivors, who's been connected with my biological mother. We actually have a really great relationship. We actually live in the same city. I have this very face filled life that God has blessed. So we live in very close proximity. I was just the other day. She's very sad about what was done to me. What was done to her? You know, she said her greatest regret in life is that she didn't run away from our family to save me. In other words, it was her family pressure that she was pregnant. I assume another young age, and they were pressuring, right? And not just pressured. I mean, literally her mother made that abortion takes place. Wow. Don't talk about right? So many times this past. That's what it used to be. You know, nobody remembers what happened to one of the Kennedy kids putting a hospital, and and basically had a lobotomy some horror riffing treatment of children. Geraldo willowbrook when he discovered with some disabled kids, in the way, they were treated like animals, it was horrible. Dr Levy Tina, let me start with you. So you. Perform some twelve hundred abortions including abortions as late as twenty four weeks. If a if can we can cannot child now be sustained at twenty four weeks with all the medical advancement. We've made. They can. And this is this is what prompted Sandra Day O'Connor years ago to say that Roe versus Wade was on a collision course with itself because row the original decision. Seventy three said that a state could prohibit late term abortion third trimester abortions, and they picked that third trimester. Because that was the beginning of viability and nineteen Seventy-three medical science has not stood still even the WHO at this point recognizes that fetal viability starch probably around twenty two weeks. Now, there are some that survive earlier, but survival is viability is now defined barely consistently is about twenty two weeks of just station. Well, let me ask you a so you did this for a number of years twelve hundred abortions one hundred second trimester saline abortions DNA abortions up to twenty four weeks. How do you feel about having done that at this point? And then I'll ask you to describe it, which is why I gave a listener warning earlier, obviously, I'm not happy that that's the decision. I made I stopped doing abortions over thirty years ago. How would you stop you change your mind? My almost six year old daughter was killed in an auto accident. I'm so sorry when you do a DNA abortion, a second trimester Dini abortion. You are literally tearing a child to pieces with your own hands. And I did over one hundred and twenty of those procedures I did do saline abortions in my residency many years before but those became. Say we don't do those anymore, but you know, after her death, and I never thought anything of it. I got used to it. But after you lose a child, and I tell people, you know, if you have a child, you may think you have some idea of what that's like if you haven't been through this yourself. You have no idea what it's like, I hope you never find out. And after Heather died was struck by a car and killed several weeks later, I showed up to do my first Dini abortion, and literally tore out an arm or a leg in the instrument got sick, but had to finish the abortion. I mean, once you start an abortion, you can't stop you'd have to get two arms two legs and all the pieces because if you don't your patients gonna come back, infected bleeding or worse. Well, let me ask you. Okay. So an early term abortion is what you're describing at what point does it become. You're talking about tearing out limbs. And when you take them out with these instruments, which are ripping out. I mean, you see an arm you see hands you see fingers. You see toes you see ahead. You see is. I mean, what are you seeing when you're doing this? You got it. You just described it yourself now first trimester abortions are typically done either by suction DNC, or now the medical abortion pill, R U, four eighty six or Mitha practices is called. But even when you do a section DNC, and you can only do that a few weeks after pregnancy if I'm not mistaken right right now, it's approved up to ten weeks from last menstrual period or eight weeks from conception. But in reality mifepristone is being or are you forty six is actually being used in the second trimester as well. So it's being used even at later stages of pregnancy at this point. But you know, whether it's the suction. Eight weeks last menstrual period from head to rump. That child is about one inch tall at twenty weeks. Look at your hand from the middle of your middle finger down to your wrist. That's the crown rump size from the head in the rump. Counting legs of a baby at twenty weeks. And as I always tell my students and others. You know today, you're an adult one child. Once you're a baby. Once you're an inch tall. But it was always you.

These are the stories that matter on Chicago's Mary seven twenty WGN. Thank you very much. Andrea it is always so wonderful to see you. You know, what you look younger every time. You are so sweet. And in fact, that's what we're talking about. We're talking about keeping young age ageless ISM via ageless. That's exactly right. And I would say that you are exactly that. Oh, you to Steve. Well, thank you very much twenty years ago. We started the station around the same time hostile look the same. Yup. The I think so I think we look younger, and there is only one person one person on the planet who can explain how that can possibly happen. Paul Irving is on the phone. You know, what I am so thrilled to have this guy on the phone is the chairman. Of the Milken institute center for the future of aging, a distinguished scholar, not an ordinary scholar, a distinguished scholar in residence at the university of southern California Davis school of Jerry and the chairman of encore dot org written. Oh, gosh, lots of books scientific papers. And that goes on and on I won't go on and on anymore except to say thank you for joining us, Mr. Irving good evening today. Steve pleasure DVD. Well, it's a pleasure to be with you. And there's a lot. I want to talk to you about. I mean, this is an important topic going into two thousand nineteen because I'd read some of your stuff, including including but not limited to a book called the upside of aging, and what I learned is that right now, there are I don't know if it's more people you'll tell me it might be that are fifty plus in that category than in the category that we call and pay a lot of tension to called millennials. Steve. Interesting for the first time in history, we have more more people in the in the aging category than do young people. So this is an unprecedented event in the history of humankind. Just just to give you some rough numbers. We have about a billion people in the world today sixty plus by by mid century. It's going to be about two point one billion in the US today about forty rough roughly forty eight forty nine million who were who were sixty five and older by mid century that number is going to be in the mid nineties. So the bottom line is that I could I could give you all kinds of demographic data, but the bottom line is is the US and the world are going to look much much older in in the decades to come product is two things one. Advances in science and sanitation and safety beginning about one hundred and fifty years ago to dramatically lower birth birth rates. So so this is really going to change everything we all have to be prepared for much older looking world. Well, Steve Dale right here on WGN radio our phone number three one two nine eight one seventy two hundred you can call you can text if you have questions for Mr. Irving about this general top again served by the end of the interview what I hope to learn is how to stay young forever. Clearly in our newsroom, Andrea darlas knows the secret to that. I'm not sure that I do. But you will tell us what the secret is. I have lots of questions for you. And another is this so Instagram and other social media outlets. So let's say there's someone on Instagram with twenty thousand followers, they pay for a lot of that. But never mind they've twenty thousand followers they really paying attention to that person or just clicking follow. I don't know. No, nevertheless, twenty thousand followers and adage are saying that person is an influence that person's probably a millennial that person is probably mostly paid attention to by other millennials. Although I suppose with twenty thousand people people of all ages, but probably not as many people over fifty yet that person gets the attention that person gets added dollars. So are the ad agencies. Who primarily have millennials working at that level are the ad agencies. Not yet caught up with reality. So the short answer is. Yes, ad agencies. Are not cut cut up with reality. The reality is Steve. What somebody called the longevity some longevity economy, others others? The mature market is really the most by exciting and fast growing market again. Not just in the US in the world. Oxford economics, calculates today to the size of that market products and services and innovations and related economic activity for people over fifty is about seven point six trillion dollars in the US largest economy in the world after the US and China. And despite detected, by the way, many old people are financially challenged and have health issues matter is is is that there is more wealth concentrated consumer potential in the older population than there, isn't any other part of the population. So it's that time that product manufacturers that innovators inventors start thinking about older adults says they design products and develop services and innovate. And and the the prospect, I think for companies that do that are very very exciting. But the reality is, and I understand what you're saying. I can't argue, you know, the data, but the reality is Eddie gypsies than kind of are lagging behind all that they're still looking like fifteen twenty years ago. They're still looking at a market, and that market is consumer spending among people of a certain age group that is between. I don't know approximately twenty four and maybe forty so why am I wrong about that? And why are they not caught up? And do you think they will they need to? Maybe I don't know. Yeah. Well, look, I think a lot of these norms. A lot of these expectations were developed in the wake of of of World War Two when when the baby boom population was large mass and people people saw the potential for this increasingly absolute increasingly educated population that was a very large very large population all series of things were developed in the in the wake of in the wake of that that war notion that we would move to these things called retirement communities place on places on the on the on the four coaster in the Arizona. Arizona desert where we would have lived lights of of leisure, and and while away the time until until the end, but the truth matter is is that when we look at polling data, these these days what we see is very very different series expectations. People want to work longer. They need. To work longer. They want to be near their children and their friends and their faith communities in there. And their their their occupations. They want to remain engaged relevant. And and we see that by the way in the in the baby boom population believe very much see that with with gen X gen Xers and millennials and who likely in the coming Jim Z. So so the the the entire kind of more of of life course, the way people think about their their lives is changing before our eyes. And by the way, I would push back a little bit. I knew about the notion of of of staying young. You know, they're they're wonderful benefits to being old. And yes, we may have a creaky joints. And we made that run anywhere near as quickly as we did when we were younger, but we have a a great your senses of happiness satisfaction. A sense of the experience wisdom and judgment that we bring the two situations toward places and and oftentimes a depths in our relationships and understanding that we didn't have when we were younger. So all phases of life have their own strengths and weaknesses and age very much does as well. Do you think they've changed? Do you think that the person today who is seventy five years old? So when I was a kid seventy five was kind of ancient now part of that is because I was a kid, and maybe forty five was even ancient, you know, the little kids. But I mean, do you think that seventy five is the new ninety five if you know what I mean? So they're they're more and more healthy old people. Although, but we still have a problem in the distinction between white stand, and what people in my world coal health span that is the time we made remained relatively healthy. And they're still far too many people who live in number of years in in poor health before they died, and that's something that we need to address as we as we try to tackle the whole range of non communicable diseases type two diabetes, a democ- in the United States, and obviously, Alzheimer's and other dementias cetera. But but the the question about the seventy five year old kind of assumes something that I'm gonna push back on that is that we should look at a seventy five year old any differently that we should look at somebody and earlier age if I asked you what a twenty five year old look like or a thirty five year old. Looked like I suspect Steve that you would say to me. You know, I don't know a twenty five three thirty five year old looks very different depending on who they are. They're so silicon circumstances their level of education level health kind of work. They do at exactly the same answer to a seventy five year old. So their seventy five year olds who are vibrant and vital and healthy and energetic. 75-year-olds were sick and depressed and and removed. Obviously, we need to we need to try to create assistance for the to the ladder group. But the point is that older people are just as diverse as is younger people just just as different depending on their circumstances. But we have to do them with that level of depth and complexity that we do any other part of the population for some reason, sometimes people assume when I never really get this. And I, and I hope you and your listeners. What would you think about it either that we have moved from? A homogenized view of our of our lives, which which exist when we're when we're very very young babies tend to get toys to look the same, and they tend to be treated the same, and they tend to eat, or at least recommendations or at stayed in reasonably similar ways. And then what we do is. We recognize as people get older into their teens and twenties and thirties, the level of diversity the complexity the distinction in in views and preferences rest, and for some reason when we get old as we think about this life course, we start we start to think of people in this kind of homogenized view again. Which again, I think is is just absolutely without any any. Any research basis? In fact, I think what we can do is that people's has such a taste and such a distinction is more refined when they get older that less, and, you know, their their assumptions, for example, that cognitive was Steve that that Ogden our troops. The sad fact is about a third of people over eighty five have Alzheimer's or some other form of dementia. But that means two-thirds over eighty five don't. And that'd be a very high percentage that are dinner younger dealt so suppressed to sink it at all old people as simply Representative of of decline lack of capacity lack of sophistication lack of distinction is really a really a stereotype prejudice would without basis. All right. Well, great answer. We have lots of text here. Three one two nine eight one seventy two hundred when we come back Howard wants to know he says give me one plus of being old think about that. And also a text here about Andrea darlas. Who's in the newsroom saying, I don't often listen at this time. But wow, it's great to hear Andrea darlas. And you know what? I absolutely agree with you. "I wrote about this with my own thoughts i'm not saying i'm right about everything but i think i'm right about this there's a report and if this is true we want to know if you could run the universe what you would do to this person there is a report that somebody the other day tossed live kittens out of a moving car on a new jersey highway to their death why would you do such a thing this is so absolutely disgusting if true so here's the story animal control they are looking into this report that around the intersection of routes twenty three and forty six over the weekend that we're here's how passaic county spca puts it on a facebook post they said we are aware of report out of wayne township of animals being dumped from vehicle on route twenty three now when you put it that way that could mean while somebody pulled over parked took some animals out in a little box let them free on the side of the highway to fend for themselves when you say dumped on the road doesn't doesn't really fully explain but what what actually they say happened is witnesses are saying this car and this is an anonymous witness this car was throwing kittens throwing kittens out of their window on fortysix please share and they had taken a photo of an suv under highway signs but apparently he couldn't make out the license plate or at least i'm assuming that they could not and yeah like i said this was near willowbrook mall or not not far from willowbrook mall witnesses incident occurred around route twenty three south.

"To twenty eight eighty two gotta run this by you to transgenders one the state open track and field championships at willowbrook park in connecticut couple of weeks ago the the fastest it is a biological boy the second fastest is a biological boy so i guess the question is before some liberal person says oh my god you're such a hater no i'm not i'm just trying to figure this out i mean this is the the most recent version of progressive liberalism leveling the playing field taking something from one person and giving it to another that's how you level the job market that's how you level the level the income gap that's this well you're making too much money it's not fair you need to give some more to hear or to give there or whatever this is the same thing you're running really fast that's not fair okay well so how would you feel and it is amazing that it's a big liberal stronghold connecticut is it not how would you feel mom dad if you were seventeen or eighteen year old daughter had been competing and track for years and she gets beaten she's third but the two people that beat her last year were competing as a boy and that's what happened this is the absurdity of this sadly there are those of us who believe this is a mental illness issue it's it's not something to be made fun of or mop door p all people deserve respect and all people deserve to pursue their dreams but is there a reason if a if a young man is born a boy and all of a sudden he starts identifying as a girl he now can compete against girls you don't think that's a conflict i think connecticut hurts itself when it allows this i mean maybe you win some diversity reward award or something but i think you hurt the credibility of the lgbtq community when this stuff happens i think that's hurts the credibility when you have legitimate issues and there are some legitimate issues you hurt your credibility when you demand that a boy who identifies as a girl gets to be part of the girls track team or any team for that matter but this is right along the lines of liberal progressivism what they do pretty regularly they take the boy out of boy scouts and the man.

"And i know the people that he trains with and so i see it happening to them so i felt like it can happen to most of those out there let's move on it's that time of the show you know when we discuss whether longevity should factor into sporting greatness let's take a random athlete off the top of my head lebron james salem brian james and your fifteen lebron is still playing what the best basketball of his career currently in the postseason he's averaging what thirty four nine and nine a game well tiger woods recently commented on what makes lebron great take a listen to dominate something is one thing every player hair can have one good week and on and blow with the field okay great now can you do it for a month can't do it for a year now do for decade due for decade plus and then start separating what is truly great and in our sport there's been a few guys who've had runs were they've lasted for well over a decade into two and that's what separates greatness and willowbrook has done for what fifteen seasons now it's just remarkable because it's that type of longevity and to be able to be up for that long a period of time and to be able to adjust as well because we all know as we age we're not going to be as athletic as we used to be and so you have to do a different ways and and to be fluid and adjust and still be that talented and that good in hats off to.
