I thought it was funny. How bill called the kids. Like oh you guys seem like future walkers to me like it seemed like a terrible terrible slur it sounds like a walkers yeah watch a walkers and then the other thing is i guess. Low key that the man. This is such a such a tale for our times. This city had been decimated by an economic blight because wonk edge shut down to the chocolate factory right and replaced all the workers with Lupu slaves well. I mean refugees. It depends like certainly there refugees but like there is at least exploited like yes sure they love their life compared to being hunted dead down by bander snacks. And whatever the fuck all all of these these these hostile things are trying to eat them. But are you telling me that to a man. Because i saw the loop the loop children nor women shit. He left him in a factory. They're not strong enough right. Fuck these guys are as you're telling me that to a man these guys want to work and if there's not one that wants to paint right make music or be in politics. Yeah work for loop equality the big questions. The film does not answer. You're right. I think as a different time. If i recall correctly they try to make a stab at making that less slavery in the slavery and in the johnny depp. One and i don't think it was convincing. Okay but i just say like slug worse. I can see why slug were is in the number two here. I don't think it's marketing is good like the sled worth sizzler. Doesn't have the same as the scrummed. Italy options boston man looks like the bond villain well. That's actually slug worth right. So not i thought was actually slug worth now. So he's the assistant of willie wonka. Who really has willy wonka. Wonka has paid test. These kids right. Oh okay. I didn't get that. No no i hadn't had. It must have missed that scene because it explicitly says that okay. That's fine. I mean it's it's it's entirely entirely possible. Yeah so not not actually slug worth. But i call him slug worth just because So he's his assistant that he hired to impersonate slug worth. Yes okay. "Down just one of those ballots control with one another blank in the box. One drink and cancel like his big and it was long but it was. It was firm at times and it was made up. It's made up of two women in the actual creature was made up of to dance women and one man that did the head. There's three people working that body. Would they really interesting onset really interesting onset because when they would always do the scene of this all the guys would end up being onset and it was because the too hot girls that were the base of the body. Get out of the thing. And i guess they were just absolutely beautiful women that were doing it. So it's kind of interesting. That character becomes this whole symbol of one of the villains in the symbol of leaving the human centipede dancers squeaker. Who is your favorite creature. Pick one for me. I honestly don't i. i couldn't pick one. What was that bird thing was a fucking supposed to be an angel. Angel ornament is Weird looking angel. And what about the bag. So the bags left on the porch. And then you know. We see the bag later on. What in the world we're in there. I mean you guys boxes that all the toys came out to attack everyone. That's where they came from the box. Okay i figured that out on the second watch today. I kept trying to figure it out and i thought well maybe it was just the box where they grandmother kind of looks in the bag and all those come out or even though they don't show it's pretty deep movie It's kind of like inception with christmas. Cheer and able does have dreams within dreams within dreams so good as well. We're gonna get to the me. Because i don't know that everyone's going to be on the same page with the. I'm sure they're not. Let's get this day where we're at and talk about. Let's talk about you know. Santa always comes down the chimney and the whole play of the chimney. Did you not think that when the boy was going up the chimney a little willie wonka kind of feel to that. Augusta glueck getting sucked through the tube. Sure yeah i did actually have that. Have that feel good. You feel good that that kid bites the big one by binding gingerbread man. Yeah that's the way he should go. Yeah he's kind of you waited for gingerbread men to come out you film like imad. Budget wise was like fifteen million dollar film and then of course it gross box office. I think it was like sixty one and a half million dollars so from a financial standpoint. It was a success. Do you think this was a as big a success. Now when you watch this bum or do you think the answer and this would be a easy that i think it's a complete success. Yeah i get. It works on all levels. It's gonna be a new holiday tradition. But what about all those movies. You just got the other day. Laura oh this part of a franchise. There are like twelve twelve of them. I don't know if they're related to it. This is the only concern by itself. Standalone film cramps origins was a continuation of the story. After this came out a around like us on a lower budget kinda films To try to know kind of cash in on the.

"That with willie wonka and the chocolate factory got golden tickets and sometimes we don't realize the stuff that we have have experienced gone through is our calling card and that's why you went through those experiences Personally is so that you know exactly how to get through and navigate for so even some of the best financial advisers out. There were absolutely bankrupt. But they'll tell you exactly how to do that. Only dave ramsey guy up and down and he was driving jalopy with you. Know the the canopy the fabric. You know these that looked like one of those bubbles but he got back to where he was at and he had to go through that process and now he's teaching others exactly how to get back to where he is and it's kind of what you practice each day so if you want to be a millionaire. Are you practicing being a millionaire being rich every day Just kind of the black belt people you know. I wanna be a black belt but i don't wanna practice. It doesn't work that way. Same thing with if you want to be rich practicing that each day if you want to be a black belt in karate or something. Are you practicing that each day. If you want to be a A book rider if you want to be an artist if you want to do. Paranormal i mean what. And that's what does is that you were are here to explore was sherry said. "What's going to be difficult is typically not what is difficult. I know that is so true. Acquisition is not difficult now ownership. Yes can be much more difficult once you get what you asked for now. What it reminds me. Like willie wonka when the girl is like is daddy. I want pony. Then she wants the squirrel that can create aruca. Gotta be careful what you ask for a hold chocolate factory. That's right then. And then we found out she was a bad egg. And there's no more peruta town doesn't need anymore and that's also an important thing transparency in the process. You know that anyone can peel back what you and i did. The negotiations of it the the loan that was provided to the youngstown flee for acquisition and And we wanted to make sure that this was something that didn't have the unfortunate sometimes staying that comes along with transactions in our community. Now welcome people to ask as many questions. You want about the process in the transaction. Because there's nothing to hide. there is no I get you know that apprehension in a community like this where we have been taken advantage of and runamuck and led astray and bamboozled and hoodwinked. And all that stuff you certainly. The the people of this community have a right to ask and have a right to feel that anxiety or apprehension amount but in my instance and in this case our work I welcome it. you know. There's nothing for me to be afraid of the merits in which we were operating under are beyond reproach in my book you know. Now i agree. We opened ourselves up. We asked four things that were appropriate. We were denied some of the things we asked for ninety days. Here's forty we spent a good amount of time on what number was like. Well they're not going to give you ninety now. Nope that wasn't that wasn't enough shannon. You know we're just bargaining for a couple more days. it was. it was interesting but it was like..

"Having everything sync properly on a MacBook, you know, they're not really built for that really do need a PC and preferably a gaming PC or a piece Right video card with Nvidia GeForce 2080 or Twenty sixty or you know, something like they're in AMD graphics processor and took in a PC CPU that's multi-threading you need that and and people don't know how so what we're doing is creating TurnKey systems So when you buy our home PC when you buy our streaming system, it comes with everything including a Focus right audio box or you know, either focused right or you know wage was it studiolive is PreSonus or native instruments magic or black magic? I just asked actually I just partnered with black magic and I'm partner and what we need to do to is I'm not I know you can go buy a cheap for PC, but it's going to have a lot of cheap parts in it. Like I would not want to put a no-name hard drive off my rig that I'm trying to make money with so we're you know, really focusing on quality. Like we're using Samsung in Vietnamese the evos, you know what I mean? We're going to stick to those because we know that these are proven we want to build a tank that works that people don't have to worry about and yeah, we're launching that product and I'm going to change my name to probably Gates jobs Del. Your yeah. Have you been Gates Chapel Hill junior year at a time though where everyone is creating from home? And the ability to not have to worry about something going wrong is really high cuz your average person is now it's like driving a car that you don't understand what's under the hood anymore, correct? And and it really is been interesting whether it's you know, having the equivalent of Geek Squad looking over your shoulder to be able to make sure that when when your stuff goes down you're trying to stream it's you can't be fragile. So let's so how you back we've known each other for a couple of years and you always have something new afoot. How do you decide where to put your superpowers? How do you decide what's worth your time? So, you know, you'll have that running running joke. I'm trying to be dr. Dre to a billion dollars. That's my motivation. Right but, you know, it's all about giving back so I know the more successful I am In my Endeavors in the things that I do the more help I can give in the inner cities and the communities and that's really my driving force. But like I said, all of these things come easy to me off and I can like like today. I have a song that I'm mixing and I'm working on music and I'm finishing the website for goat, which I'm building myself and I'm building the first species myself. I enjoy this. I'm like Willie Wonka and the Chocolate Factory over here, you know, I got 3D printers. I've got laser cutters. I've got all kinds of things going on here. I just love it. I'm a mad scientist. "Segment maybe I guess no. I think one of my pet peeves is that I don't like when things have to be like quote unquote fair like in terms of you know like everyone has to work the same amount of hours or everyone has to be. I just remember like I remember being calling and I was doing the same job As my roommate and it was like okay. We both got paid whatever some shit and I was able to do that particular job lot faster so it was like a you know a quantitative job. It was finding something online and filling in a spreadsheet so that something like in terms of I have in my ears also been an employee and in terms of being an employee like just the thing of like we'll everyone like has to be here for forty hours so you do too and what that sort of stuff. That's a pet peeve for me that's kind of one of the main driving reasons for me to become an entrepreneur. Have my own. Business was because like in the real world that's total bullshit and like if you are more efficient and you're smarter and you can do something better than someone than you do. Get rewarded for that. So yeah I guess. That's a pet peeve of mine of like everyone gets the same yeah I totally get that L. about quirks so aside from knowing more about the candy world than Willie Wonka. What would you say is something that maybe your husband or your kids are? Somebody calls you out on. That's a little bit quirky that your personality I mean. I don't know if it's a quirk. I'm very frugal. But don't know that that's very entertaining. Quirk was positive trade. Name literally like I'm taking my kids like I'm trying to teach about money and like they're only going to the dollar store to buy their toys. Who can't afford to buy real toys? It's a magical place no mean my heart. Yeah I mean my husband will tell you that I guess it goes along with my goal. Is that when I'm leaving the room that he's still in?.

"Name. <hes> became the blueberry and willie wonka yeah so that's why i'm just really passionate about it and i know that people close to me some of them get annoyed with how much i talk about it or things like that but in the end it's like if you care about me then you should be happy that i finally found something that works for me and that is actually improving my life and like you know and and i feel so grateful for the people who actually care to make an effort to understand it or not promoted to like do it not with me but like go places that i can eat and things like that that means the world to me because i'm not again. I'm not trying to be like we were referencing earlier like vegans who are like making you. I'm not trying to make anybody do it but if i could educate someone that maybe had no idea this was a thing and maybe that's what they were looking for cool because again. I was in the place where i was desperate for someone to help me healthwise. I was desperate for my life to change and for for just something i didn't know who that meant. I didn't know what that meant so. When i found this doctor it was like just the light bulb went on and it was like this. This is what i need to do so if i could be that for because it's different when it's like okay you have to for health reasons like it's like i'm not gonna we put much stock into it but i feel like what's next part is the one you're like. Oh yes she does with me like i do to the extent that you do of course yeah because like i i get like a like grocery shopping like ice cream. I still get the rice cakes even though it says it has in it but they sneak it in everything dies. I swear blaming. Let me get decided one week. I'm going to get ice cream. That isn't dairy. Free is dairy free. I try for the the most part to stay on top of it. Of course. I'm not doing it for like a health reason. I'd branch out a little bit more but it's like it's kinda interesting when like i sit there and back. You and i'm like yeah like after eating this. I don't feel grouchy noah stuff or like. I feel like a roly poly. I don't feel like they really it. Helps with blow till will it really does you get really bloated from things like cheese and and.

"Story. I am a selfish entrepreneur. Everything's about me my life. I want i want i you want and i want it now like the blueberry girl willie wonka and the chocolate factory. I need some transformational leadership skills and look it. I do a lot of this because i you know i have overcome a lot of these things by being the guy that does these interviews and i i actually enjoy self deprecating discussion because because i remember what i say on the radio like i wanna be a better friend a better employer better client to you know l. People that i work with and i wanna be a better person so if you were my personal one on one business coach how would you deal with me the selfish entrepreneur call myself. I self that well. I i would we get your identity. What are you doing as far as business goes and is your identity. Your purpose attached to that. Let's assume that it is okay and the the thing that we have to start with obviously honesty and honesty begins internally and then it moves its way outward into the external world right so honesty is vital to growth without honesty. You'll never grow when we're dishonest with ourselves sells. We've literally put blinders on and only see what we wanna. See so odyssey's express not only in what you say but with your actions as well and this is where you're talking about when it's all about maybe be that's actions. People see that they might not hear you say it but they see that if that's what you're doing now so the need for precise language in order to communicate that is key and if you're honest and actually motivates us to become the best version of ourselves and i don't mean to be honest to other people i mean being honest to you first because then it comes from the inside out not pretending attending be for real by being honest with ourselves we bring light to the bad and only then can we change it to become the best version like i said ourselves and you know there's there's a lot of reasons why you oh we're not honest and wants to avoid suffering shame change embarrassment or conflict you do it to get things you want right and we also want others a thank goodness and we want people to look. I think everyone needs significance. One of the six essential human needs right and <hes> and we also do it and here's a big one to protect others feelings right but if you're honest you can really get to the core of the issues and solve them permanently you not solving the symptoms rather the root cause only then. Are you able to live authentically lately and get what you want in life. Excuse the authentic overused word but there's no other word out there right. Now i believe me i get you guys all know my audience knows i'm authentically a ah schmuck about half of the time and i i say what comes to my mind and i don't mind admitting that i have flaws because we all do and i wanted people people to hear a little bit of masterminding you might say are one on one coaching because people hear about all this stuff and they're like what happens and i'm afraid i don't want to do. I don't need that all the different things you know but we all need it. We had coaches kids to play baseball water polo. What a football whatever you played but here we are in business the most important things in our lives our our livelihood and we don't have coach we just go out in their kind of blindly and and we learn things through pulling out of the fire jeez burn he was right right right right and they always say mistakes. It's the only way you can go. Of course you remember stakes but i'm not let me tell you this. If you want collapse time then find somebody who's been where you've been it done what you've done it and ask them for help yeah. That's basically what it what it pisses coach. Does i mean if i look back at my career. I've done a lot of stupid things by. I've done a lot of amazing things too and if someone comes to me for assistance for help i guarantee my results coaching..

I'm here. This is cool. Lori is a jelly bean expert self-proclaimed legit. And I think I started following your jelly bean analysis when you could still see your friends on Facebook, the content you wanted to see about three years ago and even doing it though, I recorded instance, wasn't two thousand eleven eight years. A love it too since I was a baby. Like, it's in my baby. Book ten months old says dad loves ice cream with like fifty exclamation. That's funny. Yeah. I've always had a sweet tooth. What was it always some at around jellybeans, or do you have other candies obsess over till I pretty much live anything put up by Willie Wonka, the Gumy's the gummy nerds the GOP stoppers. Yeah. I love all those things kind of focused on jelly beans because I don't know must spend twenty eleven or twenty ten it just occurred to me that there's only one time of year where there's like an overabundance of jelly beans, and how do, you know, which ones to buy? And so I started buying them. All and realize that there's really terrible ones out there on. So that I kind of just put myself on a quest to find the perfect jelly bean. The chronicle at all when you were little did you like the movie willy Wonka? I didn't see until college. No, creeped me out so bad. So like words of boat in the. The river total trip. LSD trip seen. No, I watched my ex-boyfriends like, oh, blah, blah, willy Wonka. I'm like, what are you talking about? Have you never seen never even heard of it? So maybe watch it. I couldn't that night. What do you see for the first time when you're nineteen or something like that? It was. I just loved the the scene where they go into the I guess the factory, and the is all the candy and the mushroom where they stick their hand in there, and it's like mushroom cream. It reminds me of lovely candy the. Yeah, the Palumbo were definitely my favorite part. The songs that they sang a little scary remake the sun is just not the same. No. It's not now, let's get to the jelly bean analysis. Every year you buy them. Do you eat them all year round? And like, what are your favorite? But that's the fun part of this is most of these jelly beans are only available there seasonal. Easter only thing. Yeah. The perennial favorite are starburst and those are available year round the shines kind of coming off those because of the law of diminishing returns. Like, I still love them. They're delicious being but I can get them anytime I want so I get really excited for the ones that are only available in the spring. Right. Right. Okay. So the starburst being you had to have some in the bag there too. They are right here. And you can buy them your round year round pretty much anywhere grocery stores big box stores. Is there a color you like pharmacy pink? Just like the regular starves the pink of the best strategy go. This switches the might go to here's a yellow and a pink mix. Yeah..

Compared to twelve am. I right twelve years ago. Is that the right number twelve? I started writing it in two thousand seven that was statistically speaking, right speaking, then anew, join in two thousand nine and then you left to bid, and then you came back so two thousand seven we're talking pre Pige FX, let alone everything else. And so in that twelve years, you have had access to you know, like like on an order of thousands of times, maybe more data and things that we couldn't imagine whatever be public and so on and so forth. Has that? I'm I don't know. I don't even know if there's a question how might. But I'm curious to know if that has actually sort of slaked your. The wrong way other stoked. You're still disliked means to satisfy right? Yeah. It's gonna it's so has that stoped your desire for more for for the for the data that's behind closed doors? Are you like is like one of the great allures here that you have access to their data now in things that you've wanted to research, but you couldn't research in all this time because even with stat Kasim with everything else. It just still isn't possible. Yeah. Kinda I mean. That's part of it. I mean, that's the I I mean, I haven't I haven't had the, you know, Willie Wonka and the chocolate factory moment where he opens the door, and they see the room full of everything's made of candy and the chocolate river, and I haven't I haven't had that moment of seeing. What's an I mean, I I have an idea of what all is going to be in in that vaults. I mean, there's only so many ways that you can say that somebody grounded out to short on June eleventh, and you know, so there there is that part of it. I think that some of it is also, you know, their areas of of of the I would consider ripe for research that the kind of it isn't so much data that you need but access in something like player development. You know, teams keep those things very very secret unless you're writing a book about it or something like that. But. It is that kind of ability to not only kind of do the research, but also influence policy. It is is something that just as somebody who works in public health. And does that as my day job where you know, you get to do you not only get to do the research, but you also get to make policy recommendations and sometimes to actually take you up on them. And you get to say, hey, you know, that that was in part me, you know, that that ability is the other part of the allure that that goes with it. You know, I I mean, the the data sets. I'm sure will be cool on it'll be fun to see how you guys have following you track that that'll be interesting. But I think that I think that there's going to be more that I will personally be interested in I'm going to see if I can I can do I can get them to not only kind of leverage what they already have. But say will what if we collected this? What if we did this, and we? We opened up this whole new area. That's that's out there to see if something's something's hiding in that area of baseball. So we were just chatting before we start recording about the process of getting this job. And people might imagine that you go through grueling interviews in you're subjected to hypotheticals and how much with this be worth than what decision would you make here? And that is how it works for some positions. But in your case, your resume is your interview is is the less twelve years. Really? It's like I've written thousands. Millions of words about baseball. You know, how I think, you know, how do analysis it's all really laid out there in a much more comprehensive way than you could ever get a sense of in an interview. Yeah. I mean, I've been on. I've done those kinds of interviews for positions and some of the things where they say answer these five questions, and I've done that in this one of the questions that that the Mets asked me was what are what are the what are the areas that you?.

"Do they they know how to use? They know how to use the laws in their favor to and that's why there's a statue of bassinet at the courthouse. And it's in Ohio because they're saying if you have the ten commandments there, then you have to make room for all religious or go headed deity. Yeah. Yeah. Larry. Heavy metal goat headed deity with children worshiping right there. It is interesting to me that a lot of the Christians espousing religious freedoms in America are playing the victim card of persecution against our faith. Whatever don't think about the golden rule about the do and others as you'd have them doing to you. And like, how would you feel if you were walking into target during Ramadan? And there's Robin on displays everywhere, or, you know, Jewish holidays or whatever like like, you want your Christian holidays to be promoted as you know, just under the religious freedom thing. But you don't want that for the other religions and that to me is problematic. Yeah. Like and for the Satan's point know, it's like clear string. It be great. If more students had more exposure to the ideas, and literature and cultures of different religions, and I think that would be a great thing to start incorporating into public school system to to broaden their world. I think it'd be. Awesome right now that is not we can't kid ourselves. And to saying that that's something that's actually happening. There's because there's a massive amount of money and resources that are pooled into making sure they're exposed to the world view that both us on this podcast happened to halt. And that's a an I think that's fine. As long as you're is at the that, the that the earth was created sit here's ago, and that dinosaurs read if you had the right? I don't believe it enough to give it a pass. Sure sure why not category. Surly folder and his browser is very robust. Well, I I want to give it quick update on last week slice. Lehem Pennsylvania, just like the outside of the chocolate factory willy Wonka. Okay. Listen there is this mountain town in Italy called San Buca. And it's beautiful, and it overlooks the Mediterranean. It's lovely. It's like Buca cheese like something from same Buca. It's a spice or something. Something is there's a restaurant here called say Buca national. I don't know. I don't know what else about public like. Spices. I don't know. I don't know if there's a of spice, but it's kind of between like Florence in it like if you leave Florence and you go north west it's that way, and they are currently selling houses like the town are selling houses in San Buca for one dollar..

Well, obviously, you will have no penalties, but you will have taxes on whatever you pull out. And so instead of having five sixty five today, you would have about one hundred and fifty less than that will set aside another twenty five for taxes just to be safe. Right. And so if we if we say one hundred and sixty five Levy at four hundred thousand. Leftover to be and and two and a half years for that to grow before you're even going to need it. Creepy New Trailer For 'Slender Man' Movie Has Been Released

"We randomly talk about multiple weeks in a row, like always makes, yeah. Like what Willie walk had the long stretch that's currently the. That's the Cal Ripken of of running news stories, which we talked about Willie Wonka for a very long time. So that is Star Wars, and Charlie's angels. We were done with Star Wars for now, put a lid on it also by the way we're, we've been view in this episode what a great host. I am here not even setting that up. We have an interview with the Patrick Renna AK ham porter from the San LA, Kendrick, Jack, and I talked him for about fifteen twenty minutes. We don't have that in the middle of this podcast. So she'll be a fun one. Ken Jak admitted to him that he doesn't like the big green or like the big ring wasn't on his top ten list, and it was pretty funny exchange. And then let's move on next bit of news. Slender man, new slender man trailer. We kind of were anti slender man trailer when it first came out. This is a new one opinions changed. You wanna see more. You wanna see a less. I wanna see it even less. I think they're making this fucking movie after this horrific actual real life of that happened, not even half a decade ago. This is like. Exploiting it like another sound soft. You know, whatever. But I think it's stupid. I think just straight up stupid. It's dumb as hell. My opinion has not changed. You need a reference in this specific time code or talked about it before because I don't think we could summarize it any better. Fuck, fuck this movie. And I don't say that a lot. I do not say that a lot in this podcast, you know, I'm very careful with with saying bad about the brands in about the movies, but I just I do not like this movie. I do not like what they're doing with it. It's it's really fucked up. The stabbing was only like four years ago, like you're saying, it's it's necessary. It's not. It's not a famous event where you can whitewashed for the event of what for the profit of movie theater. It's silly like even Billy idea even like patriots day or they call it. The Boston marathon bombing movie, which was in sanely way too early to make a movie like that. There's actually been two of them because there is the stronger one, but that was don't hall on. Yeah, that was that was nice, but even even the patriots won like there was a. There's a positive story behind it. Right? Like the talked about the heroes of it in the moment of crisis. This is not that at all. This is just a fucking horror movie. Yeah, it's just it's, it's truly messed up. I big here. It's really, really easy to be cynical about movies and how movies get made and what movies they put forward. And I agree with a lot of that, and I think we do a good job on this podcast talking about the joys of the movies, but this is one of these where I am just so cynical against this movie, the concept behind it, why it's being made the character. I just I don't like it and it's not all due to what it's based off some of its that, but it also just looks like a crappy movie. And also what's up. I didn't see this new trailer. I didn't watch it because I'm kind of doing a self-imposed imposed a boycott. I'll get to it. Overlord there needs to be no, when the plane explodes, and then there's that affect. In just goes silent. I feel like that's used in so many trailers and an horror movie trailers. And I feel like we need to, we need to name that effect. Okay. Is in the moment to, I believe so plane crashing. Yeah. Okay. So it looked up you to know we're talking about and tweet us. We're going to name that because you know like the Wilhelm scream, you know the one that's always a movies, we'll we'll name it. All right. Lead us. Just try to find it here real quick and we're not going to do the editing, but I just want to play it. So people know this is the first raw podcast. Yeah, time minus splicing in the the interview. We have some point Argos here with us right here that. Put a closer..
