"Show for couple of years he would come in and he's a bag of mcdonald's too big macs to and i see. How are you reading. That he goes five. Sounds today the. Don't worry about about mike ditka. Did you guys hitting did you. Did you did kill. Did you hit it off immediately or take a while. Not no yeah you know. I mean it was just full respect on my end Is mike ditka force. And i was a respectful kid. Bukhara could From a poor background so the opportunity that he gave me I did everything. I could to give it back to them and i did. You know the but he didn't have the the coaching staff there to really benefit us. And then we just went through a turnstile of quarterbacks I've played everybody. I think that ever played quarterback for any team in the late nineties in new orleans for two years We had everybody come through there and I mean mark bolger. And i were there That will has brought him in But dicker was a great guy. Great man you know one of those guys that literally you know like you and i and you can just call him still to this day and he's going to pick up the phone you know. Send the message or get back to you Just one of those special guys. I mean i. I saw the things that he did for people. Here's a hard ass. He did everything a hundred miles an hour from spending money to coach in. You know plan game So it was impressive. Been an off. Every day of playing football for mike ditka. You know no matter how bad. It was no matter how i didn't like what he said. Even in later parts of my career where he was an analyst and i was in kansas city and one of the coaches from kansas city said college you might set about you think is trying to get me fired up for the game that he said you're right tackle not left tackle. Willie roaf retired right before the season and got thrown in the fire. Kyle can you help us out on. Like i just came on this bag injury and earned his spot as a backup tight in here. I'm supposed to sit by and tony gonzales. Jason don maybe getting ten snaps a game. And now i'm gonna play seventy left tackle. You know so. Mike you know. That's what he's represented that people right he knows my and You know that was the catalyst though that drove me to then go into what more mike was saying about retired players and and then i got involved and gave him a game checking Right after you know coaches telling me he is you know dogging me on the tv. You know that who cares about me. That's that's what that's why he says anything about me. And that's the case in the whole the whole relationship has been Real special in right after ditka. Another former player in other kind of a hard ass flair was has led and it just kind of took off in for a couple years..

"Let guys like davison who maybe didn't have the longevity but like those years speak for themselves he was above and beyond when when you have a guy who moves like. Jamal did that yards per carry. Average alone should like signal like man. I didn't even watch him but it's not like he played behind great law. It's not like he was running behind. Willie roaf like priest. Holmes did it's not like he was planned for great head coaches. it's not like matt. Cassel kept defenses. Honest you know. The guy was playing for like a rotation of offensive coordinators. You plan for the worst quarterbacks in ireland until like read comes in the area. He was the most dynamic player to watch. It's like The chiefs lucked out to me to me. Jamaal charles was the most dynamic offense of weapon in the game when he was healthy. The chiefs have that now and tyree kill the single most dynamic offensive weapon in the game. We've been lucky. Have to in the last decade or so So yeah to me. it's. I'm with you except i take it all the way out like i'm i'm so against the hall of longevity that i think frank gore is in no way a hall of famer get that get that out of here no way not. In any season frank gore was never one of the top five running backs in football that he played so even a frank gore place twenty five seasons i would never identify frank gore as like. Oh yeah. he was one of five best that year. No he wasn't he was always. I mean he was always like a top ten back. He just played for forever and sometimes top fifteen. I just don't get his hall of fame case to me. I think he's great good to great for very long time. means he'll get into teams ring of honor or whatever's going on there but but You know to me. How many defense. How many defensive coordinators went into their weekly game planning beyond like. What are we going to do about franken yet. Nobody nobody ever like you were never like shit man. We gotta play frank gore this week. You know right. Julio jones go into the titans. I was like damn it. I don't want that guy in the titans. She's have to play that guy he's really good. I don't wanna have to deal with them. I get even when. I know that the chiefs are better than the titans. Derrick henry can record game he can record game. It doesn't matter. Nobody's ever said that about frank gore and they said that about jamaal charles. I think make excellent points. It's just absurd and you know. I don't know why we cling to this idea that that that well you just you have to play a certain amount of time where you had to have one super bowls super bowl's like those are like their bonuses right. They like their resume adar's but like the idea is how good were you there. Fifty three guys on the team like there are eleven dudes on the field. This isn't like the nba. Where like you can be so good that you can just win a game by yourself like that doesn't really happen in the nfl. With maybe the exception of patrick mahomes. Who's absolutely insane. you know. there's not too many people who could just put a team on their back. That way football it. Just schimmel charles. Todd would not play in todd. Was thomas jones in there. let's get todd's carries. Thomas jones is veteran. Leadership was all about the intangibles plan..

"And capability on the roster now and it makes me wonder if that final wide receiver. Spa is being saved for which guy can look the best. Because we can't trust like hardman to go back there and be that guy again. And i and i mean beyond pringle thinking punts in particular so yeah. I'm just kinda curious about this roster makeup and seeing how that is going to play out starring. Let me ask you this. Let's go back in time for it. We've been talking present. Whatever i'd love to know as the chiefs roster is currently made up now and maybe or maybe this won't sway your answer but if you can reach back in the chiefs history even last year if you wanna bring sherman back for example and vaccinating making play. Whatever i can't let that one go by the way anyway if you or if you want to reach back all the way and say give me. I want lamar hunt alive again and the owners box. Whatever if you could bring back any chiefs player or figure if you like from the past to be a part of this season's roster and this season's run at a super bowl who would it be. And why would derrick. Thomas is the easy answer. I don't really want to go that route. Because i think it's too easy especially with the concerns. That pass rush that to me. Seems seems to easy right. I feel like ninety. Five percent of folk would say dare thomas. That's the easy answer with the revamp. But oh line i don't really feel like picking up another line Like we'll shield to be fantastic. Are willie roaf. I get it s. Not fun for me. That's just okay. What i want to go with is the one running back that has ever mattered in the past like fifteen years. And that's jamaal. Charles jamaal charles if you want to get into the advanced analytics what. He did was historically unprecedented. It was amazing. You put him on a good team. He was playing on those terrible teams. Everyone knew what candidate who was going to do and he was still dowdy for six a carry. That is absurd not only that he was an absolute beast in the past game. I like to layer. He ain't no jamaal charles. You put your mall charles on this roster get him an open space time and time again is over. Like retiree killed travis. Kelsey animal homes right there. Okay what the hell you gonna do. Yeah i doubt that to me would be unfair video game. Ask stupid. I know but in my brain. I want to see that happen. I mean that's two thousand yards from scrimmage. Am i right. I mean that's like it's not matic. It's child's play. Pick your poison but this poison can kill you. Seventeen thousand ways almost like. I almost feel shame in whatever answer i get because jamal is really i mean. He's just he was such a great back. I think we all just your answer matt. I'm gonna ask. I feel bad. No you didn't think. I'd i think i'd go just recent history and go at tomba. I'd just like to me. He was always. The model of consistency was such a great out..

"Be a little different life. The other thing is like the the the reason why in terms of the quarantine period. That's significant is because you're much less likely to miss gains. If dude can be back twenty four hours later than if you got to be out for ten days and you've got some of an outbreak on your teams. You wait like this is what happened last year right. I think it was the bills. Who had this against the titans. I'm not mistaken and that game player to tighten the tight start going around and practicing it at local high schools in nashville under the under. And there's a had a breakout. Their schedule got all messed up and then they they potentially had like play. I think it was like two games and five days or something about. They ended up playing. Because of that. I'm telling you if that happened. That situation. that scenario happens again if a teen says f it. We're gonna meet together breakfast. They're gonna make a team like tennessee forfeit. they're going to make them forfeit. They lost they may potentially a lost to the division if that happened because it's actually right behind him so if you have that kind of a situation again and it becomes an outbreak and you've got the same quarantine period you probably like you said ron gonna have to forfeit that game but if it's vaccinated individuals you've got like three or four of them on a team that pop up positive. Well you don't have to quarantine the same amount of time. Maybe they popped up positive on the thursday. They're able to play on sunday. You're good to go. So that's why this is so significant for the league is those unvaccinated individuals. They got out so much longer that it becomes much more likely that you gotta miss gains and that you gotta miss a week and that's where this comes in because that's money you middle. Hey to and for the lead the way that they're looking at it as man we got. Tv deals that we gotta make good on yup. And if you don't play we don't make good on those deals so if we are missing weeks from teams. That's where the money gets messed with mess with. Somebody's money whether it be the league in this stuff rolls downhill as we know the league. The players the coaches whomever. That's where things start becoming a problem you know you. Can we get into the game. That is sweeping the nation all. It's my favorite time of the week. Every mic that is sweeping the nation. It's called in pasta or certified and the person coming down. This week is One of the big coster Did i flip. It is a certified or impostor what it it's one of them. The guy the guy who learned is maybe the biggest off season move for the chiefs this year. I'm on let you jump on this. One i speak. I'm on throw the name out imposter or certified or certified or imposter. That is the new left. Tackle orlando brown. Junior is e certified or imposter to be gay. Certified is due to stud. He's a hell of a player. He is one of the more entertaining engaging interviews on the team. he has twenty five years old. You're about to get this dude for the prime of his career. The only thing he's ever wanted to do is play left. Tackle any finally got the opportunity to do so last year in did so at a top ten ish level at the position is he joe thomas. He ain't going to be that and that's okay. He's going to have some moments where you look at me like man just not quite the same as what you can have yet. A super athletic left tackle. He's not that guy but he is dominant. I'm dominant in the run game. In a way that the chiefs haven't seen at that position since maybe willie roaf and he is a guy at the position that is going to get things done because of his length on the outside he does it so much differently than what she's fans are accustomed to over the last eight years. I guess it was with eric fisher. But man he's gonna be a hell of a lot of fun. I think chiefs fans are gonna fall in love with him really quickly. He's better than eric fisher any significantly better in the running game. I think he's for me. Easily certified serta were you a certified imposter with orlando brown junior. I think he's gotta be certified He's just been a really good player since entering the league. I don't. I don't believe that he's the best tackle in the game or anything like that but i think he can be a top five player his position. I think the chiefs are probably going to pay him. And that's why. They traded draft capital to get him. Because they're going to make him. One of the highest payed tackles in the game to make sure that somebody's protecting mahomes for the near future. The way things fell apart last year and he's shown even on a ravens offensive line. That was already really good. He played well on both sides of the line in played so well and a position that he didn't even start at last year that he said. Nah i'm trying to play that one because that one makes more money and so you trade for a guy like that because he is certified in because he is a type of playmaker that you need on a team. That's going to have a quarterback that needs protecting for a long time. So so i think the right answer is certified right and i think i will say certified to there is though some concern like one..

"Big Alan Jo Jo. Hey, striking. What was that? You just said in my ear. Oh, yeah, of course. Um, Teddy Bridgewater has only started one. Full season. That would be 2015 last year. He only started 15 games so that by the way, that was the second year that he started is that we're saying that is correct. Here. So one Are you saying that lasted income? He only did he only made it to 15 games. What That's not a full season rightful season now. I want to start the season with drew lock because That means he improved enough that he beat out the guy that you think is the better quarterback and Teddy Bridgewater. Thinking is not knowing. I know. Now say that again. No, Bridgewater. I want to start this season. Not with true lock Because the Denver Broncos were able to acquire Aaron Rodgers. There you go. See what you mean and mean what you say. I 0038 I can't wait for you guys to have Teddy be on the show so he can call it Jo Jo, the way he just called out the Panthers. 61 of seven. I want to start the season with you locked because he has more upside. We already know what Teddy Bridgewater is. No, we So is Teddy Bridgewater Court quarterback that was in Minnesota. And the quarterback that was in New Orleans. Or is Teddy Bridgewater, the quarterback that was in Carolina with the rookie coach? Who he just did call out for not knowing how to Run an NFL practice. Okay, So he said that about practice. But I say that there was worth three teams that Teddy Bridgewater was a part of, and three teams that decided they needed to move on by the way, Carolina after one year. And he had like a three year deal. One year move on, Move along. They didn't like him. Do you want me to say 93 37 Bridgewater is injured. Mentally. I'm just reading the text messages Do you'll need the laugh? You don't need to laugh. Uh, you guys know something? I don't. There's something that's magical about the NFL schedule. I'll say that there's something that's magical because I think what happens immediately. If you are an of the team, you start thinking about the automatic wins like that. We got that one. We got that one. Now I'm gonna tell you as a player. I absolutely went through this exercise. Absolutely. I went through this exercise and said We got them. We got this one. We got this one. We got this one with that guy Did me dirty can't wait to play? That team can't wait to play him. Can't wait to play that. You know that left tackle. Can't play Can't wait to play against that quarterback. He holds the ball. You know, I'm saying, Oh, I got to get all of my numbers because I'm playing against Dan Marino. The ball's gonna be gone. No sacks against Marino in my career. So I was looking at the schedule saying I got this is where I got to eat Well, and Willie Roaf phoned you too, didn't he? Well, really Well, when he when he was one of the greatest players ever, and I didn't get I didn't get a number on him. But I only played in one time. 88 53. If Teddy Flint Michigan Water is our quarterback, we're going five and 12. I'm just excited. I'm excited. I'm excited. Wait, wait. This is great for 56 70 big. I'll never fails to make me belly life at least a couple of times a week. Quote of the day. Quote. You need to stay away from those eggs. If you're like Tose intolerant? Nope. Well, unless you put milk in which, by the way, I'm gonna tell you, Alfred does not. I do not. Alfred puts water in it when when you're eating with the team. When you're eating with the team, they put milk in it. Okay, Whatever that is that they put I'm just telling you don't don't sit well on the summit. Most people put milk in their eggs. Yeah, I'd like to put milk on my eggs or cream or actually, just heavy cream. Yeah, really get him just From 74 60. The broccoli and potato God's air going to splash some sweet, sweet Carmel. I'm 14 wins for the Broncos e think you know what this team and this quarterback room? I'm predicting 10 wins. Cool. I'm saying over the eight that Vegas put out there. I'm saying 10 wins. Cool. You had something you wanted to bring up about Vegas, which, by the way, the Broncos play in Vegas. For everybody that was ready to make that first road trip out to Sin City to see the Broncos play the Raiders. It's day after Christmas, which by the way could be fine. I have flown too many away games where I left Game day and got on the plane and then came back that night. Right. It's Vegas. Seems to be a be a hell of a Christmas present. Amen to that s O. You want to go to Vegas on on and watch the Broncos take on The Raiders. Sure oflife there Sunday morning of hang out Sunday night. And you don't really and you don't really do Christmas, Alfred. I mean, you could totally Christmas do Christmas Eve. I mean, I have a listen. I talked to the boys. You were not very good. Santa Claus. Uh, you were like, what do you want? Okay, well, I mean about the things that they asked for. You have to do all that wrapping stuff? Yes, boy. I don't understand. I want to say yes. Before I got it for you. What we're going to say about the Raiders. All right, here's what I was going to say about the Raiders. And this whole idea about Aaron Rodgers, if if and when he ever does get traded, which, by the way, Adam Schefter still thinks that could happen. My thing is this is if Los Vegas is in this with the Broncos as a Bronco fan and as a GM and George Payton. Can you afford to let the Las Vegas Raiders outbid you for Aaron Rodgers? It never happened. It wouldn't make sense for the Raiders. Well, it would make sense for the Raiders to go after Aaron Rodgers because they can in turn sin Derek car back to the Green Bay Packers. But what you're doing is sending Derek Carr back into a situation where they drafted a first round quarterback. That's not that's not their problem. It's not their problem, and that's the strongest quarterback room you can have. Or you could look at it the way that we look at it, and that is sent Aaron Rodgers to the Denver Broncos. We send back Teddy Bridgewater. Okay. Now we have Aaron Rodgers as our starting quarterback. They have a veteran to back up their young quarterback. No, but my dad seems to be the best case scenario. And then they signed. They just signed Bortles, didn't they? Packers just reporters on the scene. Here's what a bottle signing doesn't matter. Okay, so the bottle's signing doesn't matter because you need you need quarterbacks to throw the receiver in training camp. You can't have this to quarterback. You can't have Aaron Rodgers. Throwing routes to guys that are not going to make the team. So you need a third. Maybe 1/4 quarter back just to satisfy Zagros that unnecessary. You know, when the running backs are going out for flare passes, you don't want your quarterback burning out his arm doing that stuff throwing into guys that won't make squat. But my point was is if you're the Broncos, can you afford to let the Raiders get Aaron Rogers? Do you have to at that point? If if you hear that he's about ready to go there that you have to up Europe offer even more..

"I'm thirty three percent. Sure rick tiddle is the father of my child. But i'm one hundred percent sure. Rick tittle is a jackass. Thank you for that or come back to the show coming up in the next segment alan. Richardson writer director and actor star of dark web cicada. Dark web colon. How sucato yes By the way he's one of those beefcake guys walks around with his shirt off. Because i would do the same thing you want to check out my twitter at rick tuttle. To letting sports. It'll the facebook fan page. You can get a look. You might be confused because you probably think that's me all right I like every once in a while to whilst not diving in completely but just on. The periphery peek through venetian blinds at analytics. When it comes to something like this and that is figuring out who the greatest of all time is as an nfl quarterback now. Obviously tom brady has more rings as a quarterback ten super bowls with seven rings five. Mvp's and i mean. Patrick mahomes has a chance to get their remember. It's a team. Sport and homes already has missed out on a couple chances. He lost that coin toss and overtime to brady and afc title game. Two years ago last year he wanted of course this year. No one blocked for them so it just shows you how hard it is and sometimes it literally is toss of a coin but radi is not the goat when it comes to pro football reference. What do i mean well. They have a website called hall of fame monitor and it was designed a couple years ago. That was designed to estimate a player's chance of being inducted in the canton and using approximate value is call it which just means pro bowls. All pros rings statistical milestones. Day would give a point system to determine pecking order at each position at quarterback the goat the greatest of all time goat used to meet the guy who showed but now means of all time. The goat is peyton manning peyton manning holds the top spot with two hundred and fifty eight points. Brady's number two with two hundred and fifty point nine four. Try not to laugh to stay with me. Read farthest third and aaron rodgers and chani united states and joe montana drew brees john. Elway fran tarkenton dan marine. Now you could say. Rick radi has five more than manning indianapolis one with broncos too but manning has five nfl mvp's compared to brady's three. He has seven all pros. Meaning the top quarterback compared to three for brady which gives him the edge. Now as i said this is a arbitrary plant system designed by People who do analytics. No one says one is worth more than the other. I think it would be waited. You would think that a super bowl ring would be weighted more but you could also argue that a super bowl ring would be waited less because that's more of eighteen statistic so like if you look at a guy like philip rivers who retired after the colts loss to the bills in the playoffs. He's twelve all time. Just behind steve. Young and just ahead of bart star matt ryan and ben rothlisberger sued say. Well what about is like eli manning. Eli manning is twenty first on the list but he still hire a joan nemeth. Who's in the hall of fame. Bob greasy in the hall troy aikman in the hall and jim kelly in the hall in fact he has more points and russell wilson so can still catch manning on this list hate manning but you look at overall points as the greatest player of all time. It's still jerry rice with three hundred eleven point eight one points in fact the second wide receiver on the list has less than half of those points. It's randy moss. Now randy mosses twenty three touchdown catches in two thousand seven. Still the single season record. Rice has three rings ten all pros. Only four for moss. Thirteen pro bowls moss with six. Can you imagine that when you say you were only six time pro bowler when you compare yourself to jerry rice. You're always gonna look second-best you only went to six pro bowls which like now just sticking with. This is just for fun. It doesn't mean anything. It doesn't mean anything although they say that you need one hundred and four points to get into the hall of fame okay. We'll see the top five running backs. According to this list. Walter payton jim brown barry sanders. Emmitt smith ladainian tomlinson. The guys they say we'll have enough points to make the hall of fame. Adrian peterson frank gore endless shawn mccoy. Now walter payton and jim brown. I'm okay putting walter. Payton ahead of jim brown. But i'd be okay with the other way around to i'm be okay. If you want to squeak. Barry sanders in there just because he was so fantastic but payton and brown those to the top two brown was only in the nfl for nine years and he led the nfl rushing for eight of those years and remember playing. In a fourteen game season he ran for eighteen. Hundred sixty three yards for the wide. Receivers after rice moss. It's marvin harrison larry fitzgerald and teo this list saying the only two right now that have the number to get to the hall of fame. Are julio jones antonio brown. Wow best tight ends in history. Tony gonzalez this is pro. Football focus now antonio gates shannon. Dave kasper jason witten head of gronk and kelsey I have to say as dumb as this list is. It is amazing to see casper. Finally get up. I thing Guards bruce matthews john hang around mcdaniel allen fanta and larry little guest on the show tackles anthony forrest gregg jim parker ron carey and willie roaf. Centers demonte dawson. Jim auto mike webster white stevenson. Kevin mugabe right. We just have about a minute. We have vincent. Lafayette go ahead. Man all right. Everybody's been talking about green lately on the radio. But i don't don't it just way green his. I don't really find that thing deal. I mean he loses. he's always a few games. He's gonna win a lot more. So i don't see what the big deal is. But the one guy. The roy surprise me as i was like in the beginning we should trade this guy and that's how i just keep them for the season now thinking the boys try sign. That guy long-term it's he would agree to it because you get so much more mileage out of clay and curry. I rotating the three plus you could put him on a on. A very is well that guy so good offensively. I just think he'd be awesome.

Do you need to be on Lee on the sack Gelb show, but they're from Rob Frankowski. I started tricking off because I would bring a shirt my shirt out. And then I would bring another shirt out. So when I'm running the sprints, I would fill myself like 15 times for for that session that workout session, But I would run it in a couple different shirts because you only had to send in like Two or three reps. So then when the next time came, I didn't have to fill myself because I already feel myself running in a different shirt every time on that one day, and that he has had a clue that this day that I was tricking him about half the time. About that dead and out of having toe run sprints on days that you don't want to, but just changing your shirt and do it all in one day. I love. Uh, it's kind of cheating the system There's stock up. How emotional was that moment when you and your dad had had that moment to embrace and see what another You know it was it was such a World wind of events and stuff going on. We didn't really get a chance to Tombo race. We gotta really is a picture of us hugging on the stage when I went in swine. I think that was when it really hit me when I got to the heart, and they put that gold jacket on my back, and I got to wear it. You know, I think that's when it really hit us. And it was. You know, my dad getting in trying me and never missed a game. My dad a little history. He was part of the underground railroad. They had to go up to pray up north and play the Michigan State towards Mia never really got a chance to play her badly Would. It was one of his roommates. Anybody was up there waiting Fox Sherm Lewis, So he's up there with some real good athletes at Michigan State. And Bubba Smith for the first when he was a senior, But I think that's when it hit me. You know, we got up there and I put that gold jacket on my back. They really get me, you know, and I was just trying to. Ah, Make it in Annapolis and, uh, get down there for that for that for that coin toss and do the things I needed to do, And that's what I did. And like I said, you know, the world's name will always be enshrined in the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Unbelievable stuff with Willie Roaf Right now. The pro Football Hall of Famer get him back to the game coming up on Sunday Chiefs and Buccaneers. We started off the conversation with the Chiefs offensive line and the uncertainties there. It helps when you have no homes at quarterback, just because how much he could maybe make up even though everyone needs a great offensive line. How about that matchup? Mahomes going up against this front for the bucks? Because, man, they got a lot of good players. On that defensive side of the ball. They've got a lot of good players, man. It's gonna be charged and there's gonna be a chess match. You've got to contain my home. I'll give you rush Rush, but don't let you break the train. My home's going left for writing. He's moving around. He's scrambling, you know, and then the night in the air C championship game because of the foot. They rode the pocket a lot, some form and you've got to contain. You gotta contain Kelsey. But you gotta because you've got to stop the big play of Tyra. Hell, That's what they want to do. They want to get you underneath, but eventually they want to go over the top to tolerate cold. I'll give it to him on a short route and let him take off. So it's gonna be a good man. It's gonna be a good matchup. You got good weapons on both sides of bombs or little Scotty Miller and all those guys and Antonio's coming back. You got a lot of weapons on both sides of the ball, So I'm looking forward to seeing the chess match. You're seeing them. Send 10 who can kick Bruce Areas versus or Andy Reid and there's gonna be a Do you know you got some? You got two of the best coaches out there doing it. So, I mean, this is the match up for the ages. Right here when you have the young Patrick moans who who could go down as the greatest ever going against the greatest ever right now, which is Tom Brady? Now what do you bring up Brady? It's got to be like surreal You played when he was in the league that he still going and going strong new team at 43. You just gotta basically throw your hands up in the air and go. What can't this guy do, right? It's unbelievable the way he takes care of himself. I mean, First of all, here's the money to take care of himself and train year round and didn't put anything negative in his body. So everything he does you around in the way conducts himself is, uh, he's nothing but a class act for the NFL. NFL should be be very happy that they had a Tom Brady to come to the league because they're not going to get Much better than a guy like him. You know that This is a guy that could run for public office. Or would he wouldn't come? Brady would have been a great CEO of any Fortune 500 company. He's that type of guy. I think a huge key in this game and you saw in the NFC championship game. He was great in the first half, and then the second half. He turned over the football, you know, with Mahomes, even when he's down, he eventually finds a way to not only get back into the game, but take a lead and it's all about it. The quarterback could answer back, You know, last year, the playoff run Watson Tannehill, Jimmy G. When Mahomes got the lead after making those comebacks, those quarterbacks didn't answer back. You see Brady plane of full 60 minutes. Or is it gonna be maybe something like the NFC title game with us a few costly turnovers. Oh, I see Brady playing better. He's not gonna turn the ball over three times. No, that's not happening again and you'll have Antonio back. I don't know how good Antonio will be. But Antonio be back, so even the threat of Antonio Brown being out there with his speed. They're gonna have to respect that, so I don't see him turn the ball over three times. I've seen them trying to run the ball. I see a big corn it being a big part of that offense and them trying to keep the change, moving and trying to get slowed down my home's opportunities on that, only on that side of all Was the Jew Breeze game A few weeks ago, I'm up against the bucks where they lost in the playoffs. Was that the last game in your opinion of Drew Brees his illustrious career? I think I think it's time for Drew Drew. The booth is waiting on Drew for a good amount of money. I think I think it's stopping to make a move. Yes. And then for his family and himself. I wouldn't I wouldn't want to see me personally. The anonymous which I wouldn't want to see him come back now. "Of Twitter as well at CBS Sports Radio and also at Zach Gelb Z s C H g l B already. We got a jam packed show today It is Super Bowl week. I got Ryan Trace Hickey, rocking and rolling here with May All OK in your hotel last night. I know that it's still snowing here in New York, when I went to go pick up a pizza that I put in the newsroom. If anyone around here wants a pizza, I'm sure listening audience doesn't care about that. It was still snowing. I know that they got a lot of snow here, but I didn't think it was that bad. Quite frankly, even though, right what? 13 inches of snow I got home last night. 10 15 minutes on the roads. It wasn't that bad was all fine in your hotel, first off. Yeah, I'm here is no problem that the commute was like a two minute walk. So it's all good 90. So you're alive. That's good to know We're coming to you live as always, to the rocket Mortgage Studios Rocket mortgage, giving millions during Super Bowl 55 of the rocket mortgage football scores sweepstakes, he rules the other. For free. Today it rocket mortgage squares dot com. Here's the guest list today, and then we have an open unlike any other because if you would have told me where we're going to start the show with during Super Bowl week if you would've told me that yesterday I wouldn't even have been able to believe that script, but yet here we are so coming up 40 minutes from now charges running back off the neck. Clear we'll stop by at 7 P.m. Eastern, at the top of the hour Hall of Fame running back Barry Sanders 8 P.m.. Eastern five Pacific will be joined by a former ST A former Kansas City chief. And that, of course, is the pro football Hall of Famer Willie Roaf. And then at nine o'clock PM Eastern six o'clock P M. Pacific will be joined by Cam Acres of the L. A Rams and then right after that will be joined by how about this Jordan Love is going to stop by And we'll get all of his thoughts on Aaron Rodgers. Their relationship. And how much longer is he got to be willing to maybe sit behind Aaron Rodgers before. His patients kind of wears thin. So we'll get into all that today doing NewsBrief baby squeeze in a closing bell as well. It's a very busy Tuesday edition of the Zach Gil show, And Quite frankly, I'm at the point. Where I just wanted to be Sunday already. I wanted to be Super Bowl Sunday when we get to see it. Tom Brady could get his seventh Super Bowl ring. And will he or will it be Patrick Mahomes, get him back to back. You also have the coaching storyline with Bruce Arians and Mandy read. I think both of these defense's don't get enough credit. I think more credit goes to this Buccaneers defense was shacked Barrett and JP Pena Dhammika NSU getting beat of a back You got Levante, David and Devon White. You could go on and on and on with the names, especially in that front seven for the Buccaneers defense coached up by Todd Bowles, and then hey for the Chiefs. Let's not sell that defense short. I think that defense They know how to make the time we stopped. They know when their back is up against the wall when to not allow any more touchdowns as we saw last year in the postseason, and we've been seeing throughout this season, really, since halfway through. I've really been impressed with his Kansas City Chiefs defense from the honey Badger to Frank Clark. I'm also Chris Jones. You could just go on and on and on with the names on both sides of the ball, but you know it when you have Brady when you have the homes, that's how the matchup is going to be marketed. I also don't think we're talking about the run games enough where we'll see how effective levy on Belle inclined upwards the lair could be and then on the other side you do got it starts with Ronald Jones and then as they call in the job bucket also big Cat playoff Lenny. So maybe Leonard for net who was in Jacksonville, and they couldn't even get a draft pick for him. Hey, gets released and then boom. The next thing you know, he's on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and he's been playing well as of late and they you got some injury concerns to the status is they're unknown for Antoine Winfield Junior and Jordan Whitehead, Antonio Brown. It's the Super Bowl. I think you're going to try to give it a go. I would imagine A B is going to play. Remember back in Super Bowl 50. I still think And I know we look at Theo and what T O did was ridiculous and a losing effort on that one leg, and if they would have won the game, I thought he easily would have been the M V P for the Eagles in that Super Bowl 39 loss. The New England Patriots and Jacksonville, Florida. How about though going back to Super Bowl 50. I know we recently just retired, but what Thomas Davis was able to do with the broken forearm. His arm is is all stitched up. I will never forget seeing the photo of the arm. I think it was after the game. That photo did go viral in the Carolina Panthers Super Bowl lost to the Denver Broncos paid a Manning's final game That was such a gutty performance by T O back in 39, then Also Thomas Davis in Super Bowl 50. So those are just some things when you look at this game things that just come right to the top of the car base A. But I will say what we're gonna lead the show with today. I can't believe We're leading the show with it because right trace if I asked you Hey, it's Super Bowl Week. You would think each and every day Monday, Tuesday Wednesday Thursday Friday it would be some angle, Something said. I know it's a little bit different this year, with everything being held virtually the.

"The Steelers and box would have done the same thing to drew lock. There's another lie that's being perpetuated. The Bucks and the Steelers would have had the exact same game plan. And you have to be the most. Blind drew lock. Defender to think that he would be able to fair Any better. Or I'll give him this level credit on ly slightly better. Then Jeff Driskel. At this point in his career. The best you could hope for was only slightly better. Trulock holds onto the ball too long. Trulock has trouble making reeds. The Steelers in the box would have done the same thing to drool on. Because the problem there No. The problem with this team is in front of the quarterback. Where this team has managed to stay pretty healthy. Got an opt out from John James. But everyone else that was supposed to be there. Is there And they're just flat out not good enough as a unit. And I'll say this in defense of Garrett Bolles. He's not the biggest problem on that offensive line. He's not Orlando Pace or Willie Roaf. He's not the biggest problem and that should speak Tio just how rough This offensive line is And some of this has to be on Pat Shurmur as well. And that honeymoon period is has come to an end, hasn't it? I mean, say what you will about rich kangaroo. Hello, but he wouldn't have his quarterbacks island of all that long. Like for all of his faults. Birds. Cantarella would not be having his quarterbacks waiting for a big play to develop. Short drops quick passes. That's a way to combat what teams were doing to them. Because all the talk about the broncosoffense has been about chunk plays. He designs these 15 yard routes. There's quarterback is on his back before he can even Make the play happen. But this is ultimately on John Elway. You had a front row seat yesterday to Tristan Words. How would you feel about him? Did you feel about Tristan Worth? I'll tell you how Buck's fans feel about. They feel pretty good about him. Broncos could have had him. Broncos could have had him for The pick that they used on Alberto. Right. Another weapon for Drew lock. Take that pick. Package it with your pick. You could've moved ahead of the box. But you chose not to..

This could be the first episode they listened to. We've been over this nearly episodes if you're if you're starting here. I don't know what to tell you. I was starting at one episode. It will be weeks reverses the chiefs in two thousand and two. I mean to be fair. This is a pretty good one off gain, so if you're here just for a one off game and remember this then congrats to you. I would want thank. Thousand One. What about our Spanish listeners? I Review Steve Has. When he went to, Mexico came back with some Spanish stuff. Yeah well. Everything I. Know Spanish I from Dad. anyways. We already covered that we should do an episode and Spanish. Should. See. The same. So German and you guys can do it in Spanish. Moby had El. Partido was more Bueno. Survey says pull for for. This game actually was pretty good. This game was amazing the second half this game was amazing it was. Allow like I don't remember this game, but stuff worth a watch, yes. I wanted I wanted to do I. Should start the game with like a watch ability score because some of these guys were going through all of them in some of these. Men Not so great. There's been some some losses to the dolphins in Miami ECHINACEA one season that. We. Definitely that would probably be at zero on the. Scale, would we do through one out of six Lombardi's? ooh, is that too much of a Dick Measuring contest while we haven't. To win more than six, Lombardi, so that's artificial because it could be ten and three years. You know it could, but for now we could always increase it. But for now in terms of watch ability. One through six. I mean we should scale it on like coaches. You know like what coach what coaches teams the most fun to watch. Like Michael Mark Mike. Martz is great to watch. Andy Reid usually pretty good to watch call Jim harbaugh games usually. Entertaining the very least. Yeah, not like go into sex Mike Mularkey. Well they're entertaining. If you're enjoy paths, blowouts, yeah, I would I would put dick from. You'll games in that because. As well as he could coach offense, he's that bad at coaching defense. Dick. So I think. The the chiefs in this season we'll go eight and eight, but they would lead the league in scoring. And would be like thirty in. You're going to steal my scouting report already. Oh all right. Yeah, let's see Ya. Ability Score! Let's go one through six. Lombardi's eighty. It's six. Six! Actually. No, let's call it a five. Because you care. Okay. Yeah, a five and only watch the second half I would say well five Lombardi's in a AFC championship so five point five, okay? I. Is AFC championship. Championship trophy. Is that even a half though? To me. is a point to five. Okay, all right fair enough, so we'll give this a five point five because I think there's still like maybe to marginal steps up. You know if it wasn't week three. I would I would even go hard five I. Think there was some sloppiness in this game was retaining your. Billion penalties. Well I didn't actually watch it so I'M GONNA? Let you guys. To score. This out. I, am I'm shocked and appalled. All right so score of this one for those who can actually count that high. Was! In overtime, no less forty, one thirty eight New England Patriots Your New England Patriots over the chiefs. which is pretty impressive considering the game was a ten to nine chiefs at the at the half. The second half was yeah. Absolute Bond Burner. But Greg tell us a bit about the chiefs. Share your scouting reports. Well like you said Andy. This team was as about as lopsided from offense defense as it comes. Were on offense this year. They were first in points in fourth yards. And on defense they were twenty. Points allowed thirty second dead lanston yards. According to Wiki PEDIA DOT COM, it's the second largest offense defense imbalance, and what's that twenty from nineteen, Ninety two to two thousand ten holy Shit. Far In years. Yeah, well, that's. One Nine, hundred ninety two Seattle seahawks. Wow. Before my time, but yeah, yeah, so if you look at the so Dick for meals, head coach. If you look at the roster's, it makes sense to so the offense Trampoline Green quarterback priest Holmes Dante Hall Tony Gonzalez So. To the fence line stack as well. Really row from will shields and Brian waters winters. Is An all time name? Especially for live here. Would permit having nickname for him. I feel like he would have. Probably we'll probably Willie ROAF. Steve but if you look at their defense like. This, literally, not a single name I recognize. Defense is. is putting it generously. To, these guys are fucking nobody's. My favorite was all-time named Mike Maslansky. Do recognize him one hundred tackles here. I just used him with. Mike Dowse Ke from. Much Zinc. Crockett. Why do I know Ray KROC its? Name! You're thinking of Betty Crockett. Or somethin'. Feel like he played in a different team, and I knew his name Yousafzai Played Denver for a long time. I mean I recognized I reckon. Clemens. Even recognize him. I didn't know anyone in their defense besides him. Now you're thinking of a heat is Andy Tatton It's just. A V thrown in. Monte buys all. Didn't he play for the PATS?.

T. V. collar weed Wacker but you're basically getting the grass where the mower can't get to it right my goodness that I usually do that I do that I do that before I mo in here's why here's why accords here's why because after I've mowed the yard and then I go out in edge and then I use the tools that I I know I use though the weed Wacker well whatever I was cutting with the weed Wacker then sits on top of my line it's not mulched it just sits there so what I like to do is do that first so that way when I then go over it with the lawn more a mulch everything in like it should be done I'll tell you you know what you know what I give you that because you learn how the molds because of the bone because two weeks ago and I will not mulching you a bag and everything I was not back in every time I only bag everyone not now you know I'm not banking at all because you but you're you're telling me that I am just flat wrong that I don't know what I'm doing says someone who hires a long guy I'm is throwing it out I actually knew my god because the last longer I put the the disease on my my yard was his fault and he brought it with them yeah it was like you got the wrong give ME my neighbors are in my yard was jacked up and that takes a lot of work man get your back to the you know pristine conditions I got to go back over to the Broncos and talk to the guys and see you know what I need to do take my pictures shown my soil samples this work on everything you remember I'm not joking what to do when you were playing when you're playing in the league for part of that time yep actually before you before I moved to Denver when you were playing here I lived in Kansas city and V. E. R. the the turf guy for the Kansas City Chiefs was George Toma and George Toma was considered this is the best in the NFL he would always he would always be he will be at the Superbowl he was the there was a long guys a lot he was the guy but he was responsible for civil appeal condition he was responsible for the Superbowl feel conditioned me say something man when we played out and sent like we played San Diego in the regular season and then in the last three regular season game and the bill was okay but then we went back to back back there to play in Super Bowl thirty two enough field conditions work great and now look in the grass was like perfect did I mean it was the I mean you you know how you get to new shoes and you run around the old feels good the first thing you do when you put a mind you you sprint relay is like I run fastening bill good luck when you travel you they O. okay all right all right you know you move around a little bit man the turf during the Super Bowles was great both in Miami and in San Diego great so George Thomas one year I got a chance to have a conversation with him and when I found out who he was and I you know I started asking him questions about my line in may and he had all kinds of things that he was telling me that you know you should do from fact Jeanette's you know to get all the dead stuff off of it you know at the beginning of of the season to obviously aerating it to putting down topsoil on top of it putting down like raking in a topsoil so dirt on top of the grass and bring it back all lush and green I will tell you the greenest grass I've ever had in my life now you know how many times I've actually followed all of that okay maybe maybe one time the top sort I was sick about it after the fact I mean topsoil man you got to be ready to put in some work out yet be ready for his work does that mean that I mean you got to have a wheelbarrow yeah well barrow I do you use it yeah yeah what do you use a wheelbarrow for okay well anything I take from the garage cheer from the they are anything I take by the way let me just tell you it is my backyard it is nice sidewalk but it is straight down and I and I have had to hold on to that bill because it's going to take a ride but it's anything that I have that I've taken from the garage to the backyard it's always a little better absolutely we'll we'll beryl angle thing will yeah ochre two wheel yeah you got to win do you have like an extended handle on it too for tall guys own someone else used it in the now for just watching it's like the guy yesterday they texted in when Alford said I did something for the first time in three years one the guy texted back what he started his snowblower yeah not a luxury wheelbarrow by this time next week it'll be not only will it be electric it'll be artificially intelligent enough to take you out when you see those three young remote control here's the thing Alfred you see guys that are out to you when you see the long Kerr guys out doing their their thing the guy who's mowing at the same time there's someone doing the edging in the weed whacking so white what what does it have to be done in this certain or are you brownie like that I'm I'm very I'm very bothered by hand wrapped around this is just this is one of the just looked you dead got all upset with me because that's all he's doing it in rivers wind and I was first offending when you said oh man it was great who's doing that yeah I like what medium long guy on the line no I'm not coming over to Chris and I'm just throwing it out how excited are you about hockey coming back versus basketball I'm looking right now I'm just excited about anything I mean the fact that I am watching Korean baseball I ESPN which by the way it's pretty fun to watch because if you see these guys what their bats yeah do you see you see out how deep they play on the on the track yeah but do you see you know normally run it back with baseball who they are charging balls yeah but normally you flip your bat after you have cranked one out like if you've you know you deal Ken Griffey just whack and you stand there watch a little bit and Tasha bat these guys are flipping their bad if they've hit a you know if they've had a double knee if they've had a frozen rope that's a one bouncer to the outfield they're hitting it and it is once it is one motion hits bom bat flip it's like it's something wrong with culture right in their culture that's what that's their thing that's their deal that is there your email is not disrespectful in their culture and culture it's expected in our culture it's the picture's going to be in your next time around because you don't understand you know but okay you know what would be ending longstanding baseball rules submit what's that tell you what it makes it more exciting it makes it more fun right you don't you don't you love it when they put the bat yeah but by the way that be a great prop bet how many bat flips it again you know what we're going to miss you know what we're going to miss and baseball we're gonna miss the Houston Astros beyond being this year because the over under on Ambien bean was out they get like thirty times for the for the cheating the last few years well here's the good news is that if I don't have a spot and get their stuff together I don't you don't think they're going to still be in the Astros if baseball can get stuff together you know who's going to be a part of that and that new division the way they're going to work it out is the rock is going to be playing the Astros they're not gonna do anything other than what they've done they're not doing anything different you see John gray throwing it high and tight little chin music know what why this is done now right all up everybody's that before I even say it that everybody forgot about the Houston Astros cheating that is true by the way the breaking news in the NFL we're gonna hear from Roger Goodell we come back it's big gala judge up this is Kaylee newsradio.

"Did he did with the Broncos wasn't good but the one that he did with charging pretty good did he do his own deal with the charger still yeah yeah I mean we're not talking about rocket science here I mean it's it's you can certainly do it robin would negotiating with a team the team says these are your deficiencies and sometimes as a player you just don't want to hear them say that our end to have the relatives of facts about your plate needs to be explain to manage many times to get proper value you say Hey look what I did against her representation of bank at this place to keep yeah the relationship no solid so trait Turner is scheduled to earn base salaries yes he's got two more years left so he's got and he's by the way been selected to five straight pro bowls so we signed through twenty twenty one schedule earned a base salary of eight point five million and eleven million the next two seasons respectively Kuhn who is a two time Pro Bowl selection has one year left on his contract he's scheduled to be paid a base salary of thirteen million some sounds like a pretty good doing his own deal yeah he did a good job he's a good player too he's got some issues he's grabs and is it doesn't have great functional spread outside of you know it two seconds back if you can handle initial pop and but then he loses he loses sight of the ability to stay with his guys after that initial pop kind of frustrating because he's such a big talented athletic guy I remember when he came out of Oklahoma state I think it was Oklahoma state and I was watching him like he's too quick on his feet because he wants to dance with you you just gotta run thrown but he's not nearly the same size of a guy like Willie roaf will we had dinner with comparable profile thank you got you should run over yeah I I'm not kidding you I am could not believe how big Willie roaf was one of the most talented guys I've ever seen play football in my life and the the reason that he wasn't on the top one hundred players of all time I have no idea but one of the guys I was on now with Walter Jones and I didn't I didn't think that you know if you ask me Walter Jones a Willie roaf Willie roaf all day I'm Tony all day and I played against both of those guys all right so we we talk to Sally and some will cause some pro football focus we talked receivers today and Todd McShay's latest mock draft has Henry Ruggs going to the Denver Broncos number fifteen yeah I have I have rugs is like that my third receiver ICD lamb and I have jury duty in front of rugs would you agree I will say this for the sake of conversation what are we talking about we are we talking about for the draft or how their careers going to turn out wow okay well that's interesting you can't predict the future what I would tell you you can't guarantee future you don't know if this guy's gonna get hurt and have a career ending injury okay let's just say this first week so you have to say you have to say I'm going into the draft going into the draft my top five receivers don't look like yours I got CD lamb Jerry Judy Henry Ruggs a third T. Hey gains and love this question all to add to it as my fifth receiver okay let me pull up my my draft notes here and give you an idea about L. number one to me is very do it without it without question okay Jerry duty is a different guy you know you just don't find guys like him is it a good breaker I mean oh my goodness I mean it is just he's just isn't even credible he is he is incredible as a route runner and a guy who always he understands the nuances of of of playing the game of but Barnett the wires you position the problem is is that he will not run off for four I mean he's he's not gonna run up four to seven and a four to seven is unlike anything else you put out there but let me tell you something Henry Ruggs wallet at Alabama didn't put up it looked like a guy that ran for two seven the look fast but yes but everybody look bassinet offense went to what was planned so I would I I don't I don't like that pic I don't want rugs if fifteen I doubt take somebody else I'll take a big guy I'm hoping the big guys there because the second round is just so exciting with players and I got a business should not take it out so I will go they got the the weighted I see it okay I think best good is probably the second best receiver in this NFL draft because of the things that he does and the way he runs with the football after the kids if he's healthy he is a beast and I saw him turn games around at the university of Colorado like the game we probably shouldn't abandon games and and because they leaned on him heavily they were in games and won some games they probably shouldn't have if it wasn't for him he is a different guy I would hate I would say he's number two I like CeeDee lamb I like CD lamb because he's the go to guy for Oklahoma over the last three years as a junior but there's something about him that I don't like and that's the fact that he said that he he's a multi guy the mobile right he we he wants the ball and I'm I just don't going into it I don't want a guy who is a multi guy in college because you are rewarded bad behavior by draft them in the first round so I don't I don't like that I don't like I don't like that but I think the talent that he has is really superb I think they you know I think the kids have to combine what everybody saw the the amazing acrobatic cats it was good but you know it was on air so do you have C. D. ahead of Henry Ruggs I have CD in front of it Henry Ruggs well I see that you have to be at the top you have live discussion all in number two you have CD lamb at three what do you have a four R. M. four Otonomy put mime I'll take I'll take rugs there I'll take rugs there for the fourth best receiver in this year's draft because of the speed you just can't do anything about it but he does not I'm telling you when you go back and you watch them he does not separate like you know the other guys in one on one coverage he does not do it so M. five I would say the Hong let me pull this up here hold on I'm doing a soft memory here because my machine is running a little slow and number five I would probably say.

"With the Chargers to yeah yeah I mean we're not talking about rocket science here I mean it's it's you can certainly do it the problem with negotiating with a team the team says these are your deficiencies and sometimes as a player you just don't want to hear them say that our end to have the relatives of facts about your plate needs to be explain to manage many times to get proper value you say Hey look what I did against representation I think at this place he well yeah duration ship no solid so trait Turner is scheduled to earn base salaries is he's got two more years left so he's got and he's by the way been selected to five straight pro bowls so we signed through twenty twenty one schedule earned a base salary of eight point five million and eleven million the next two seasons respectively Kuhn who is a two time Pro Bowl selection has one year left on his contract he's scheduled to be paid a base salary of thirteen million some sounds like a pretty good doing his own deal yeah he did a good job he's a good player too he's got some issues he's grabs and is it doesn't have great functional spread outside of you know it two seconds back if he can handle initial pop and but then he loses he loses sight of the ability to stay with his guys after that initial pop kind of frustrating because he's such a big talented athletic guy our little when he came out of Oklahoma state I think it was Oklahoma state and I was watching him like he's too quick on his feet because he wants to dance with you you just got to run through on but he's not nearly the same size of a guy like Willie roaf will we had dinner with Okung Protopopov thank you got you should run over yeah I I'm not kidding you I am could not believe how big Willie roaf was one of the most talented guys I've ever seen play football in my life and the the reason that he wasn't on the top one hundred players of all time I have no idea but one of the guys I was on now with Walter Jones and I didn't I didn't think that you know if you're asking me Walter Jones a Willie roaf Willie roaf all day including all day and I played against both of those guys all right so we we talk to Sally and some will cause some pro football focus we talked receivers today and Todd McShay's latest mock draft has Henry Ruggs going to the Denver Broncos number fifteen yeah I have I am rugs is like that my third receiver ICD lamb and I have jury duty in front of rugs would you agree I will say this for the sake of conversation what what what we talking about we are we talking about for the draft or how their careers going to turn out wow okay well that's interesting you can't predict the future well I will tell you you can't try to future you don't know if this guy's gonna get hurt and have a career ending injury okay let's just say this first week so you have to say you have to say going into the draft going into the draft my top five receivers don't look like yours I got CD lamb Jerry Judy Henry Ruggs a third T. Hey games and live this question all to add to it as my fifth receiver okay let me pull up my my draft notes here and give you an idea about L. number one to me is Jerry duty without it without question okay Jerry duty is a different guy you know you just don't find guys like him this article breaker I mean oh my goodness I mean it is just he's just isn't even credible he is he is incredible as a route runner and a guy who always he understands the nuances of of of playing the game of Barlinek the wires you position probably is is that he will not run a four four I mean he's he's not gonna run up four to seven and a four to seven is unlike anything else you put out there but let me tell you something Henry Ruggs wallet at Alabama didn't put up he did look like a got it ran for two seven the look fast but yes but everybody look bad after that all bets went to what was planned so I would I I don't I don't like that pic I don't want rugs if fifteen I doubt take somebody else I'll take a big guy I'm hoping the big guys there because the second round is just so exciting with players and I got a business to now take it out so I will go they got the the weighted I see it okay I think best good is probably the second best receiver in this NFL draft because of the things that he does and the way he runs with the football after the kids if he's healthy he is a beast Aaron I saw him turn games around at the university of Colorado like the game we probably shouldn't abandon games and and because they leaned on him heavily they were in games and won some games they probably shouldn't have if it wasn't for him he is a different guy I would hate I would say he's number two I like CD lamb I like CD lamb because he's the go to guy for Oklahoma over the last three years as a junior but there's something about him that I don't like and that's the fact that he said that he he's a multi guy he moped right he we he wants the ball and I'm I just don't going into it I don't want a guy who is a multi guy in college because you are rewarded bad behavior by draft them in the first round so I don't I don't like that I don't like I don't like that but I think the talent that he has is really superb I think that you know I think the kids have to combine what everybody saw the the amazing acrobatic catch it was good but you know it was on the air and so do you have C. D. ahead of Henry Ruggs I have CD in front of it Henry Ruggs well I see that you have to be at the top you have live discussion all in number two you have CD lamb at three what do you have a four at four autonomy put my I'll take I'll take rugs there I'll take rugs there F. for the fourth best receiver in this year's draft because of the speed you just can't do anything about me but he does not I'm telling you when you go back and you watch them he does not separate like you know the other guys in one on one coverage he does not do it so M. five I would say the Hong let me pull this up here hold on I'm doing a soft memory here because my machine is running a little slow and number five I would probably say other than yeah I like this I like this tee Higgins out of Clemson he's six four to sixteen I like I like him but the kid from man alone don't go start talking out I'll get right back to dump some I'm gonna talk to name Seaview Jaylen Reger now do you see you are Brandon are you from Arizona state second round Justin Jefferson man's man's dans L. mims out of Baylor Denville mims Denville mens because he's a number one receiver he's a big guy that profiles I was like a number these are all number one receivers we're not talking about guys that just play but ma'am is a big guy who catches the football with his hands and he's strong and I think he ran a four what do you mean a four four four five at the combine good player good player all right we come back the second round is is exciting as the first round that's why I would take a receiver in the first round because the second round is going to be exciting the best I could drop all the way to the second round and if that's the case may you can have two great receivers and you know in three years of of of each other that could end up being a temple a lot of years all right we can back John you're on hold will get your call we come back it's big Alan Jo Jo three oh three seven one three eighty five eighty five this is K. "About was stronger naturally stronger that's actually really good answer naturally stronger not not not weight room stronger but naturally stronger like Willie roaf what I can name him again he I mean he was the guy came he was naturally strong you don't like it I don't know if you work harder than me in the weight room he was just stronger than me so how do you know some guys are faster than you you know some guys are quicker than you some guys more explosive he was stronger than I was and I was you know that's the part of my game that was said I would have naturally okay I was stronger all right so when you hear when you hear what you just heard from Tony Miceli talking about what he looks for in an offensive lineman when he's evaluating offense of linemen how many of those guys to the Denver Broncos currently have on the team I would say maybe the best example for that guy on this team is Ron Leary and I don't know if he's coming back next year I don't think he is Ron Leary as a perfect offense environment no he was injured but you talking about perfect in Dalton Dalton Risner Dalton Dalton is dot now will guards tell you the truth I will guards you know when they were both healthy around week three week four or week three on they were good and I don't know anything about two one James I don't realize Alexander I mean a larger Wilkerson it it I don't like his game last year unlike bowls is game last year although we got better in the second half but the perfect often sublime in the me is our right guard he is he is the definition of what Tony Boselli was talking about he was great not only did not join James definitely meets the big guys I mean he die he has all those things we just never got to see him play is big but I don't know if these are Brundtland live Leary is different and different guy and by the way round there is not coming back we've already did his agent has already said that Ryan is not going to be coming back name but when you look at his sheer size in the way he moves people man even when he wasn't a hundred percent healthy because I don't think it's healthy at all Broncos last year I don't think that he was healthy while he was here you know and I and I know all the good ones that played on that offense of line over the years may he is I'm telling you that dude is a head banger he is he's different man if we we don't if you had a team full of them our guys who played like him then you would have a you know top two top three offensive lines in all of football all right we come back we're gonna catch up with our friend Mike rice in the chicken on the Colorado Rockies as they continue cactus league play in Scottsdale it's big gala Jo Jo this is Kaylee the voice of Colorado.

"That are in the hall of fame that I didn't have issues with like I didn't have I didn't have real issues with Gary Zimmerman when I played opposite him when you know when when I was in Cincinnati or surfaces guy didn't have issues with him because I knew his movement I didn't have issues will Walter Jones as a matter of fact I would like to think that I was part of the reason that you know he ended up getting a lot better ended up becoming a hall of fame left tackle because yeah we we we had a way with them it was just it was just it wasn't that big of a deal when did you find out a guy goes to the hall of fame in Orlando pace another guy didn't have an issue with it because and he also was he's a huge guy you've got but not not not like these other to do the work he was a cross between Willie and Willie and jail John did not demand imitates a man that do big old long arms man wings spread distance one quick and once again man just a nice is sweet heart of a man you know I thought I still I still talk to jail and not just takes Willie roles Willie roaf texted me last week we have the same agent and so we've been Texan and been cool this whole entire time but did you come out competitors see that those are the kind of guys but I have real reference points of what it's supposed to look like at left tackle like I know what it's supposed to look like I can tell you what it's supposed to feel like when I'm watching him on film I feel like I'm the most qualified to tell you which one of those guys would translate the best in the NFL and if the if John ever want to step aside I'd be GM did you ever think you could play on the offensive side of the ball because absolutely especially the position that you were always one on one against well I mean sometimes two on one but I'm I'm I'm the best tidy and to never play when you make sure I say that again you were the best tight end to never play that's right tight end that's right you ever played on the offense of said the ball nice all I did I did I play tidy in in you know at that time if they needed me a guard or tackle yeah I play whatever the other team's best player was if they had a good player I remember this one time when I was in high school we will plan against the school call Yates high school and they had a defensive lineman man named big mole this too was cold blooded now yet sigh school if you don't know who that is they made a movie about it was call Friday night lights that was a tech school that was eight that the school from Houston yeah was Houston gates high school okay we lost to that team about three points to gains okay the quarterfinals of the state house in Texas and we lost one time in the district playoffs three total points one time only we had a lot back to who actually ran into taker and one time you know it was just a drop pass me we we've literally with that close and then they went on and dominated everybody else on the movie Friday night lights is about this team in Houston they had this guy by the name of big mo and big mo man he would he would he would make dudes cry well I had a teammate who I without saying his name it was crying by by the half time because he was didn't this gives it a vast what right so codes call me could not my my high school coach called me tall tall boy is it we need your own office today and then now with the internet into that big mo ever make it to the show no he didn't but his teammate did Santana Dotson yeah there if I remember saying that he was a legit play right so that he was on that same thing while also he made it to show but man that got one past two passes in high school one way for like seventy five yard touchdown I caught one pass in college I caught one pass in college and it is the most beautiful kids that you will ever see lets you to that right now Alan Jo Jo your doctor and stories of the day when we come back this is Kelly the voice of.

"I love. line six one one eight just need to go to to in touch on the old quarterbacks. that does make me it does make me laugh just a little bit. they you know they did you know John you're at John he said that the NFL has a minute that that was a bad call. but you can't make an excuse yeah one second change is not a game yeah it's a nail or chill right I mean I mean. we had to do it all over again it changes dating so you just have to play with the card should dealt in. to make the best hand out of it I'm good at that from forty four seventy one I met Neil Smith one time very very nice man whatever happened him big al all man he's my guy I spent two weekends let three weekends last summer and a lot of time with Neil Smith. he's a great dude I mean he took me to his place and not Kansas city Q. thirty nine oh my goodness he will out just two years there two years ago how about you I fly in the C. Neil Neil flies in the see me stays at the house you know we just it just the the I love the guy love the guy man he's been a Big Brother type due to me since I was a rookie in the NFL that's how long I've known Neil Smith and I couldn't believe that we became teammates. he was always so cool me we gave me great advice and always was just a solid do played at Nebraska and with another guy who was it who's a Houstonian by the name of Broadrick Thomas dot Thompson Roger Thompson. product Thomas broader Thomas was I think the fourth the fifth pick in the NFL draft Neil was picked number two in the NFL draft and they used to hang out in Houston all the time and they just invite me to place it and then just make me part of the crew and I was just call with a man it was great it was great love that do man my my wife and I got married twenty six years ago and when we were on our honeymoon cruise Neil Smith was on our. she's playing for the Kansas City Chiefs at the time but there is no mistaking who he was big nine oh may big big too let's see here from five three five three eight guys I don't see Ben Roethlisberger ever coming back I don't even from elbow surgery I don't even I think you just took the money in April wait it you know to the season starts to see how you can die hi how you felt. but apparently Big Ben was having some issues in training camp and they start talking about leadership a leadership qualities and and whether or not he worked hard with the guy was hurt hurt but you know I think the money that they paid him you know he had earned that many years ago he still is not in the Eli manning category with it when it comes to money is being paid but the thirty four million dollars in signing bonus that he got was the Arnett already so this year there given that money next year he'll probably played sparingly and then walk away. sources say he does get it done he does get it fixed and he. because it but it makes me think of you when you when you had your Achilles injury hi you pretty much we're going to be done and I would just that was done by you but you use you still you had a Cup of coffee with the the norm and say it's my agent ma'am my must super agent Peter say for a little by the way is listening thanks for listening Peter. it's not every day. but it is a great story so. I was done I tore my chili's on October thirty first nineteen ninety nine hollowing. I stepped out and funders foot print. that's when that feel was loose and for whatever reason I stepped in and I looked around like who stepped on the back of my mouth on the back of my leg well I knew I tore it when I could move it up and down so I got up and I walked off the field I got to the sideline and not so great in the training staff as I told my Kelly's. they say well if you told your kill lease you couldn't walk. but I knew that that was my last play for the Denver Broncos I knew at the time at thirty one years old that was my last play for the Broncos I know how this league goals at that dinner party at least your career was ended with by thunder. that's what happened it was a different field yet concerts in the in the dating take care to feel like they do and empower them at mile high okay they don't they didn't they didn't have the same. I guess cruise or whatever it it does it it was just a freak deal and then my agent. once again Peter Shaffer called me I was just Hangin out I started a new company and I was just working at the company and he asked for a favor he said as he said Hey man I I'm I'm I've been getting phone calls from these teams for you to come and at least play I'm like I I'm I'm just I'm done and I'm just done I got the I took my Chiles I was up speed rush quick guy you know if you don't have your lower body you just can't play in this league so I do have a solid you know you said you know Mickey Loomis I think was the GM in it and him and Peter are really good friends agents and GM's become France's say would you at least go down to New Orleans for me. Joe Joe you're not gonna believe this story. I go down to New Orleans they are so I did a solid how do you decide I'll go down the New Orleans I go in first week second week third week what was the second week of training camp they were training camp for a week or so two weeks and one of my really good friends Willie roaf close all the fame left tackle and I played against Willie a lot of times he was like we got to go get it go get it go get it go he's with the chiefs for a long time see some twenty year right no no he was what the what the states when I was with the forty Niners. and so I got to play again some twice the and so we actually we actually played against each other then in the end so when I went down ma'am I worked out in the field okay my Achilles felt okay I'm like well if it feels okay then I'll go back home and then I'll see where I wanna go play football. and what happened I was in this little town called Thibodaux Louisiana. nine Thibodaux Louisiana is not a big town and they have like one major store in it's a Walmart they put me in a so I work out they put me in this hotel and Thibodeau and I tell them they base it to me well when the work I went great let's sign you to a deal and I was like well let me think about I want to go home. not so do weird Thibodaux Louisiana. there's not really a cab service for an airport nearby no no right so they help me in Thibodaux Louisiana for like twenty four hours me I didn't have a me what we did there was no there was no live to take me back to the airport because I think I came down there with a backpack I just went to work out the do my friend not my friend and my age in a favor so they keep me overnight I signed the deal you know I talk to my I was talking to my my wife and she said well we're not moving there I say I know I didn't I didn't ask to move here you know this is four or five months whatever it is and then we'll be done with it and so. I'm there and then so the next day they say you know coach has Lee was the head coach and he was like Hey man look man we just we just need you to come in here of be like a player's last coats and I was like all right I'll do that well that's it but I got to go home as I have to go home so I signed a deal and I went home I actually got on a big drove me back to the airport and I was at home for like two days and Peter common asked me was I going to go back. contract you signed a deal so you can get out of Tibet. you cited deals you can get home I want to go home because they will plan on the road they will they will play like a pre season game or something and so I just went home I just went home and I was like I don't know if I want to this on the web and then I got down there and I realize it my Chiles was not healed I did we have it the way that Emmanuel Sanders rehab he is he can't he won't he had every intention in the coming back I didn't have you know. I had no intention of coming back but this little town man I've been to the population as well it's seventy thousand eighty thousand and there's a college that they were at and it was so damn hot oh my goodness and then finally you know I've got to I was down there for two weeks and I tried to quit and coach has is a man look man we just need to stick around and you know be with these guys help me answer these guys and I got tears in my eyes because on my body is just not working the way it's supposed to work and then I finally say you know okay I'll stick around this is the first time I quit. and then the second time I quit in with the saints I have my brother to come in the middle of the night. in the middle of the night because we had broken camp and I told him to meet me downstairs yeah I didn't even say goodbye to nobody. I'll just say they did you get on stood at the New Orleans in Houston is only four hours away we went to Bourbon street had a few cocktails got a hotel room and draw back home I'm not a Houston the next day and that was the end of my career because they were gonna keep me and then I I knew there was as there was a guy on the team that was working his **** off I mean he was working his **** off to make the team as a defensive lineman and I knew they were going to cut that kit I knew that they were going to cut that you have to keep me an aging defensive linemen couldn't play at the same level so I I just I just said I'm out and they ended up keeping that key it. I don't know if he knows but I'm I'm the reason he made it in the NFL did he make anything of himself I'm I'm not sure I need to look you know what I know and we will be going to break we need to look to see if the guy made anything of himself I look at the final roster for. the mayor's name because you know one of the kids on the dean blog de is one a gallon team team was a Pro Bowl defensive lineman by the name of Glover and the reason I think has we want me to stick around because Glover used to always ask me Hey man how does Trevor Pryce look at this how did Neil Smith look it is how do you look at this and he does want he walked with me and did everything were made for the entire training camp and he ended up becoming a great great player in this league that's a great story I love the I've come get me come get me I'm gonna keep towns tears I'm not even saying goodbye we're just leaving they don't cut me until the last day for cut down and it was like a Tuesday or Wednesday I was gone for like three days before they cut because it kept calling like Hey you coming back to the check clears no no no text note this preseason cholesterol leisure six three oh three seven one three eighty five eighty five our techs line five six six nine oh it's big Alan Jo Jo on the voice of Colorado K. away..
