"And then it was just for the next two weeks was me trying to get out of hospital because if you're in hospital, I hate to say that there's wonderful people, you're going to stay sick, you need to get out. You need to get out and get yourself healthy if you know how to. And I got so I was probably kept me in there for a long time if you hadn't had got out. Right? But after two weeks, I got out and I watched the UK tournament on the bed, it was the first time I'd let Dave Taylor come to see me because he kept and I thought, I can't have him come. I mean, so much pain and you know how much he makes you laugh. Yeah. Even not meaning to, just because he's not. And he just makes me laugh. He's either making your laugh on purpose or he's making me laugh because he's mine. Exactly. Couldn't have him come because I was in so much pain with my chest and all these things going on. I didn't want him. But I felt good enough to say, why don't you come over and we can watch this, I put it on some of our managed to off me I had put it on the screen and we watched the UK tournament and I'm texting with age as this UK tournament score and I'm sat in the hospital in Atlanta doing this show and we're texting backwards and forwards and Dave's there and I got out a couple of weeks later and I started straight away trying to just walk down to the end of the path. We'll get and then within a very quick time I was walking three miles a day and within two months I was doing 500 squats again. Let's do this. This has been honestly, this has been riveting. I've never done this before. This is a first in talk is Jericho history. If you want to do this. Why don't we wrap for now? Got to go to work. Why don't we get back together next week? Now that we've gone through this whole trial and tribulation and talk about some of the other stuff that we never got the chance to talk about. Would you like to do that? Yeah, if you want. I would love to have you a live two parter, because this has been talk about the conversation going in a different direction. I understand different directions. But it's been amazing. And I'm glad that you got some therapy out of it. And I'm glad that you're here. I'm glad that you're still with us, man. Is that cool? Should we do that? Yeah. All right, amazing..

"The old two, can you get 16 British wrestlers in two days, we're going to announce his tournament and it's going to happen in January in Blackpool. And I'm like, okay. Because I'd just been over there in the summer and went and actually went round for two weeks and saw everybody and watched everybody up close and they'd work out. And I was on the phone in the car park after the show in Australia. I don't know what time it was for every 13 hours difference of something to England. I was in the car park, stood out. Remember there's a place in Australia without outside it's a smaller building there's like a wooden something like a long wooden and the coach is part there. And we were there. I forget where it was. And I was there on the phone, going fellas. Can you mate? I don't know really what we're doing this thing. And can you keep it quiet? And I turned up two days later. Well, nowadays, whatever it was, God knows I don't know. I managed to get to England. I turn up at the old two, I turn up and there's 16. Well, now there was more of those 20 because of some extras as well. All suited and booted, looking like real professionals, and there's a picture of, couldn't be in any prouder. I was just like, thanks fellas. Well, sorry, God. That's the integration. These fellows of all term, not a lot of luck in the business. I mean, it looked like pinky blinders, a lot of them. We're all stood there like, and I'm like, wow, pull this off. And then a month later, they were in that tournament, and that led to whatever. There's just these things that happen that incredible things that we seem to pull off with a very few amount of people. There was canyon and Christian Altman, who was a Wonder Woman. Wonder Woman. I think that she does one of the different times Paul fair and people who help canyon are me doing their wrestlers. With that was it. That was talent relations like the most underfunded thing in the company that do it so much stuff. Doing everything. I'm doing everything for everybody and trying to get all these things and create all this content because it was all about selling the network. That was it. Cruiserweight tournament. Whatever time I had to do that, right? Yep, got that done. Mae young, yep, got that done. Second one I ended a lot of that over to Sarah del Rey and to Serena. Serena. Yeah, I ended a lot of just bring me in if you need me, but you take the role on this because it's your thing you should be in charge. You know, I'm not. I don't need any thanks for anything. You take that whole, right? So anyway, these are all things that are just along the way. So 2018 got Costa Rica. I get off this is march, beginning a march. All right, Ryan cats is waiting for me. Down in the he's gonna come on out here from play and I'd come from straight from Atlanta, four hour flight. I get off the plane, I'm not feeling a bit dizzy, but not bad. Right? And just so anybody knows that, no drinking no anything before anybody might think you're dying. This is all things in the art, right? I go to as soon as you come off the plane, it's like a rush of people trying to get down one escalator. You know, people just start pushing them. Yes. I have got me rolling, carry on bag and it's on wheels. And this is what I think happened. I just remember being at the top of the escalator. This is 1 o'clock in the afternoon. I'm going to watch South American wrestling tournament for three days or so. To try it because we might be going to need some new to find guys. Yeah. I just get off the plane. I'm not feeling a bit like light. I mean, you know, not quite like I go like with the bag. It catches all I can remember is it felt like something caught the wheel. The wheel caught the actual banister thing. The escalator. The rubber thing. And the next thing I feel smash and that's all I can remember. I fell for it. I fell down the escalator, luckily I hit the robber rail, it completely shattered my left eye socket. You're kidding me. No. And luckily, Ryan cats heard the commotion and common fan because I didn't I had three weeks of amnesia after that. I have no idea what happened. I was in hospital for a week. So I was in hospital for a week in Costa Rica. And I lost shattered me I suck at three weeks amnesia at last 40% vision in my left eye, which is still having good. Everything's great. I can see, but it's all gray. So Ed injury, you know, finally, they got me back home. I was doing some pretty mental things from what unfortunately my wife had to go through some pretty no clue what I was doing because you were completely amazing. I have no recollection next three weeks, but doing some really mental things. That's the way I've got time for that because that three weeks in itself is a full show of insanity and mainly, again, mainly bleeding to death at one point, losing two pints of blood. This is none of this. 'cause we haven't been around these. No, we haven't. Nor would I tell anybody this. It's just weird. No, that's a few times. We never mentioned that. Well, I'm not going to, 'cause that's just not happening. It's just life for me. So I go down this thing, boom, I get back on three weeks of madness at the house, but then I come out and I have to go to all. Again, WWE. It's weird because I may have now, but WWE got me into because it was a brain injury. The shepherd center in Atlanta,.

"Talking to the brand new member of the all elite roster, William regal is here. Yes, the legendary William regal made it surprise AEW debut at revolution last weekend. After the Brian danison John Moxley, war. And I've got regal here today on talk is Jericho. We're going to talk all about his surprise appearance and signing to AEW and how that all happened. We were going to talk about his 22 years at WWE all the work he did for NXT talent relations and development and everything he did with the conversation took a turn very serious turn as it sometimes does this talk is Jericho and while we did talk about some of the stuff he's done for NXT, especially over the last few years and his thoughts on being an AW, we mostly talked about William regal's recent near death experience. His emergency open heart surgery, his surprise neck surgery is surprised back surgery. It's been a hard few years for William regal, one of my oldest friends in the wrestling business. And in this very emotional conversation, he walks us through his health issues and scares, and explains how he persevered through it all, and not only survived, but thrived. And he was so candid in sharing his incredible and inspiring story that we didn't have time to talk about all the other things we had planned. So we're going to have to have him back on very soon to get some of these stories that we were planning on talking about, but trust me, this is very, very, very emotional. I think you burst into tears about three times. A lot of information that I didn't know. I don't think anybody really knew just how bad his health was over the last few years. And how many things he went through. Things that I've never even heard of before. So get ready for this riveting and emotional talk is Jericho with one of my oldest friends in wrestling. William regal, right here, right now, on.

"Are you going to do for the rest of your time? Here we Monday night raw down the staple center. You not talk to talk with a bunch of gas. I'll road Dogg Jesse James bad. Billy Gunn a lot of guys at fun hanging out. Got a chance to finally talk to Ray Wyatt. Good kid. Yes. Starting to buy into the gimmick. He's got his head screwed on straight. And what's again, an orange jumpsuit growing? Eric. I met him yesterday. Didn't get a chance to meet Carper hookah. You had some more him. Yeah. He's going to turn up the volume. It was it was a good show. Bray wide. Caught a good went off Jag much Ramos. Joe didn't hurt Ray Ray. None vicious looking gimmick. Out of nowhere cleaned in the middle. Watch are speeding up the process. Many shows changed a little bit man. I tell you what you go down there. And it just gets bigger and bigger and bigger, man. I went to see Kevin Dunn into production truck, and there's monitors. I mean, more monitors ever was there was a plea. She'll going on. I mean, it's like I had to leave. There was so much going on. It was blowing my mind. I'm that's the thing. I sit around and I go out of these people do this. I don't know. And I'm now you just watch Kevin walkout, equal walkout obvious. Up for two minutes. And I'm thinking, I look imminent. I'm trying to how does he do this out? Does he manage to what what's how really is? They can do and everybody there everybody. I'm looking at the production peo- going. How do they do all this summit all the wires or go running everywhere? And you know, I used to always go talk to Kevin none every time and go Monday night, relish friend of mine. But just the way the way the way it keeps growing, and they're feeding the you know, they the app all all the different stuff going on before we go. They're going to launch Debbie network. His I went down for the presentation in Las Vegas. It was bad ass to know that they've got one hundred thousand hours of original content. All this other stuff legend house is finally gonna play the reality show that a couple of years ago and confined a home for I'm looking forward to seeing what happens with those guys underneath one roof. What are your thoughts about the the launch of w network what it means to have access to all of this programming and content as incredible? I mean, I'm look. On it from fun perspective law. And they decide there's all this. But you know, we probably take for granted what we've been up all of this stuff up. Now. I don't want to watch my stuff. I just wanna be able to type something in and having immediate access because I mean, it's gonna blow you to about the water because as you it's YouTube with what's slick sophistication and presentation, I'm looking for this stuff that I didn't see right because I couldn't get anything in England Oh, you're feel. going to say a lot WW stuff because I was always working on the on sky and it didn't come on until the late eighties. Well, I was resting on. I certainly didn't have sky. You know, this is so. NWEA of all all those ten inches they own. That's what interests me. And that's why if you're smart, you'll be learning from if you stayed in its energy for a long time, you ought to be good and do different stuff because you had to keep going back to the same places. And that's why I'm fascinated in bright. What did these follows do that stay around in these ten inches for a long time? I'm I'm so I'll be picking why did he want?.

"I it looks that was all I have a way to do. I'm gonna make sure my stuff doesn't look like. Right. That was my whole outset mindset on how to make my my wrestling interesting. And it was like if you said that that looks phony when they do them, I'm gonna make sure work on until it doesn't I'm gonna make sure that whether you like men when you watch it looks as believable as you can do all if in doing comedy you understand that I'm doing comedy, and it's funny, right? Or if from everything is that my varietal, you say that all you have read from restless. That that's not what I'm gonna do. Right. And if I do do it you're going to know that there's a reason for it's still out stuff. You know? I ended up always thought like that as far as getting I I haven't got any. I've got no athlete's ability. I I go my pace. And I'm doing my stuff, and I do and always think avoid anything you can do and do the things you can't. So I can't do that. But I can do this. Right. You want believable looking nothing as good as anybody yet. That's just what I do grinding away, and and storytelling you won't comedy. I can do comedy. But it was just watching the people got that coulda them a model people. I sit there moment people. I would never think to that in a million years. I watch shown hours twenty. Especially when he came back in Mosul when it came back in two thousand just just looking at fair is an all about the leaving. I say this job comes down to three things whatever it's got nothing to do. Starts in your brain. It goes into your heart and it comes out on your face. And if one of them things, he's not right, right? People some people buy into a majority to really capture the masses, you gotta truly believe in what you're doing. Right. And you've got to show it on your face. And if it's not showing on your face in through your eyes and people go if you could see into every you never trust anybody that you can't look at you in the is. And as restless we seem to forget that everything comes through the eyes. We attract from that. Is that belief in yourself, and you get it right on head. I agree with everything you're saying about those things sometimes these days, you know, when you can pick a green guy up who's trying to do those things. But the belief is not there and you see throw them because they're overacting. And so I totally get what you're saying. But but some people when they don't really believe it, but they're trying to emulate that it is not the same. There's a big difference. And I just to me that just comes with learning. The trade. We're gonna wrap it up. I know you're gonna get down the road. I'm gonna download to sing right now since we get get there talking. I lost the last day. I'm computer chip. Oh, we're here in Los Angeles, California. And here my house, you're down in Los Angeles for another two days. There's a big cold thing going through Atlanta. You can't give back to the AT L. What.

"Because that's the way you, and I like much Ewing these long much we rocky him with h in that. And I bought watch have job. She keep going, you know almost allowed blowed up, but I kept going going, but thinking about flair was what I liked what he did was, you know, sometimes you need take you down in a match and just just just by by feeling it or listening or his instincts. He'd know when things that needed to be put in motion time to space things up time ship, somebody downtime, get a little heat little bit hope something his timing was just so good. And he did it within just a you watched it body. He looked like a pro you've so relaxed and it just trucks little bit put his hair back. Maybe a woo, whatever. But just the way he executed his business. One time. It got time to get nasty. He was made, you know, and he was kind of that, you know, that cowardly hill. And I mean, you know, so he wouldn't have tough guy. And I liked I liked his Kate when it came time to get mean, he got me what a light was when I used to watch. The actual another thing that drove me too. Was that the way did certain things, and I I knew he had some kind of a British influence, and then I found out lights have been around him because the way put a risk Slocombe was the proper way to put a rich luck on right instead of the old Janis burn kind people. Do I don't still get. You know what I mean? But he put a properous luck Bill things that he did correctly. Right. I used to love watching Dory from June. I loved watch door to. So I just like the the grind in just the Dow works that. I what I started watching door juniors dove MSN a different frame of mind beckoning early nineties like guys kind of boring, but as I got X educated to like what is great wrestling like oh Dory. Palm junior is one of the best and loved watching his w still do. I mean, all of his stuff looked fantastic and totally credible. I have an open sit ways and put myself in different times. When I'm watching message. Yes, I'll watch any kind of rest in enjoy if Zeph I don't care if it's right around what people say, Ron is no, right or wrong. So I call he's just different you go to different countries that do things that you were different companies that do things at different way. But as long as effort, right? So I look at sometimes I'm looking at it from that route. If I'm in a mood to look at it from a point of view of like, I say a lot of people my thing was, and this is I I never because I wasn't very good at this to start with an I never bought into the whole coming from account. I'm gonna show atmosphere and all that kind of stuff. It wasn't. I never wanted that about being good work rescues. This was the way I base my work on isotope two loads of people. And I'm sure you do you don't like wrestling. Right. When they used to say when they when people say, it's still do. But when then when I'm wrestlers do that..

"And it's an outside show. They were on main event I'd been on about five. He was always a woke up business there about five or call. It's tied torrential rain. Oh, but it's only gets the show at seven. There's like usually the be probably four or five six thousand. It's a tennis stadium. This probably a thousand die hard fans. They go on last in torrential rain with all the fans moved up into astound the covets down sellers. Nobody sat around ringside. It's all the empty except for me. I went in the rain poor now, and they did twelve five minute rounds straight through. We know. Bulls. And it was like that scene in that film. Paradise alley, you know, at the end when this like slipping on the war, and they just work, and I'm on my on totaling over to this day a of a witness that I've never seen on this. Maybe it's on a film. So because there was won't just just turned up on YouTube recently, I had no idea existed. My first ever time in Durban in nineteen eighty nine thousand nine hundred eighty nine is a full much of million. And then when I was twenty so somebody may have filmed that match that. But it was in the rain, right? I don't know if I'd wanna watch it because it might not. All right. My memories. And right. That would ruin it for me who what else I've seen that. Well, I mean, what did you think about going back to shoot? What was it? Wrestlemania three the savage verse steamboat match. This is a weird one for me. I know why. I loved it. And so let's hope to Ricky about right? Okay. Nuff said because I know. Yeah. Really? Yeah. I still love if you just watch it now for what it is. And mean, it's. Arresting van standards is one grades matches of all time about what we're talking about on inside. What we're talking about your stay here in the states, or you know, when you was over in in England, your favorite world champion body of work and here in America. You get different guys. You get guys that are that are guy guys that are race guys guys that a flare guys you gotta get a Michael's guys or Bret Hart where you had on that. I have to say Rick flair thing is just because they know what was it about RIC flair because he's my favorite wrestler of all time, and you're going to hear many people depending on what Cape there, and again wrestling is subject as we're going to save you seen one RIC flair match you've seen them all. Well, that's like saying if you've heard one Boston song or Led Zeppelin song Metallica song you've heard a mall because everybody every band plays within their structure of what they do every wrestler Russell's within the framework of what they do. So why would you say RIC flair and your estimated and that was the? I didn't see American wrestling until two years after I was already wrestling. Raga any types. People forget that. You know, didn't have I didn't own a video until you know, just leaving. When the parents had just as I was leaving it black and white TV's when I was a kid. You know, he's so I got some tapes. And he was one of the first stuff I got was the end of me away from Charlotte. And so I've seen him go out there with all these people in just something about him. Just the way did is still under the charisma and everything about it and just carrying yourself like a pro and. Yeah. And then like I saw all the best matches. Because that's the only one I was getting I wasn't seeing everything. Yeah. I was seeing the steamboat matches and the bruiser Brody mansions people stuff that was my God, his father just keeps going and that was a lot of it as well as the condition, right? And to be able to you know, I can go a long time. But at my pace right east paste was same with you. You'll pay she's twenty notches above anything. I've ever done..

I know let's even regal king of drab. He had all kinds of versus for it. And everything. That was never space in a different time zone a bunch of different levels back and right? Right. What was your out favorite town to work in anywhere in the United States is a lot that place used to doing Columbia, South Carolina. And why did you like these this? I watched you and Ricky I'm Russell like fully five minutes one night in the I don't know. I was weird that it's just that little place. Yeah. Let me just an atmosphere to I don't know why it was just one of those places that I was you know, these great big arenas. But after a while they'll become in obviously, Chicago and the God. Yes. This is the intimacy about that rice was something magic commanded. I enjoyed back in the day when we were doing TV in Atlanta because you know, we'd just make those those towns I mean who was dote that Alabama is Columbus Georgios making Georgia. It was one of those couple of towns in South Carolina that were kind of close by winter those Andersonville on this guy rainbow Lampson everybody everything was still local in those kind of. I remember those days the buildings were used. Really have to three quarters full yet, and those are television type, and so, but know houses were the war were they were the business wasn't the greatest period of you know, we've seen was the best time. I think my favorite time period of my career was that not pointing time Wendy's menu with traveling, and we were on all those shows what they call the crew all crew rocking. It was rocking. All these little towns like ten days, and we come back do TV in lines than we do the Carolinas for a week or two. And then we do the Georgia show. But those ones when we were away, and we saw it, and then you would doing them jives, and and you just go, and you you work hard, and you come out, and you'd be sweating, then you, you know, you. It was just magic. It wasn't a business with a lot more simple back in and saved giant machine. Yeah. Do you get a shower and get down the road? Remember back in the day when we TV's in Orlando, Florida. You me stay out in the hotel Qasimi and British pub Rover's return, we always go, man. We'll get loaded up on Guinness, throw darts all night laws. Go back to the hotel and do it all again. And that was so some great times. What was your favorite match are just a list of a couple of matches? That are your favorite of all time that Ivonne note just any match that you would like to watch did you'd like to watch my favorite match of all time was the the Mets on you can watch on YouTube is Martha Jones against Monaco from nineteen seventy eight Maltese wedding, red tights. That's my favorite much. Then those eight thousand nine flesh steamboat matches. Yup. I used to I got those on tape. And I used to do my squad still watching them. Yeah. That one hour match. I used to put that on an ice to just stunned and do do induce Enos watching or step ups. We I used to do that. And I thought what if I can do this? I can keep up with them. Right. And do it for the full hour with him. Oh, but that says the matches they had then refunds us. That many my favorite live much that I ever so was in South Africa, which was again mounted Jones against gamma sing from Calgary was incredible. "And Snooka things that were to working class e wanted. It was accidents gauge it. Okay. We're educated fella. He wants to upgrade. Everything and fill the the working classes, which is most of Britain watch TV because it's such a big class system. He thought he knew better than they did. So I think he did was move wrestling in a two year spell in wrestling from four o'clock and afternoon, which it was always on regular spot Elrick rock on a Saturday. They should be saying in England everything stopped at four o'clock. That's the working class serious about Russia. Yeah. Working classes watch wrestling. Yeah. New from flora clock to mid day in nineteen Ninety-six. Everybody not everybody. But most factories everything else. Everything worked off day on Saturday in that period of time. So till twelve thirty that was a work weakening, Jeff I've enough days a week within a week of a move in it from four o'clock till twelve the figures dropped in off times, though, it was a lot of other things that went in with the, you know, not making any new stars. And you know, all kinds of stuff production values, and whatever. But within two years of watching the figures drop off you've got perfect excuse to just take enough. Right, right. When it was took off. It was still getting full point something million that Jesus who still getting die for that. Now. Right. Full Pandey million. You know, main shows on a Saturday night don't get that. And that was when they took it. So there what happened to the wrestler saying they're in England. Then I have a TV. It went underground for a while a lot of people lost to get jobs, you know, Brian Dick's, and it was the what we used to call the opposition promotes a Isale came into his own. Then that in zoo around the TV so of went went away to a big degree, Brian Dixon. Kept running shows on just any at all the best talent that was the and just kept running and running right and everything was post as in word of mouth anyway. Right. Regular buildings every, you know through the winter aid most places you did every month or him Kennedy on and kept it going, and so it fluctuates to the bit. But by ninety to ninety one ninety two everything was on fire again, all not the and Ola buildings were doing incredibly, well, another small building between three hundred thousand people. But I like I was on the in the beginning that ninety two it was they've tailored against. Fit Finlay chase for the championship chasing each other on one till ROY not to shows nine right? And then the other show was kendo naggus sacking in a tag match with every wasn't an whoever else was right it in. So you'd be going between the two I was at that time. There was a member eve at Sullivan. They believe is over a been in Germany Nikkei to England. I was on a few shows they like we would just start moving around between the two and just busy all the time. Or are be some nights. I'll be on with in the Nagasaki tags man row ever. Pat Roach against them to whoever always working and then March the first of that year, I went to India for a month. And then I went to Germany on for about ten days. And I went to South Africa than it went to Egypt. And luckily, I didn't go anywhere books for Germany was very very odd to get any was very close. Rag Riecke, everybody cliquey everybody. Wanted to spot. The now had bits of that in every way, you know, I've got books in England. Right. But I hadn't got a lot else. I don't know. I had plenty what coming up in September. I was going to go all kinds of place up again. But I get a comb from also vans. Can you stop in.

"I never had when I I never had any problems working with any of them fellas that from that Arab knew how to work. Exactly, right. It's nonsense. It's all nonsense. It's people who've never learned the job properly. If I turn your own way, it goes that way. And if you'd see him I go that way. And if you may I sell it that way, right? That's an so anybody who gets that. There's a point one while he has a difference. It's just people don't know what they're doing. Right. And they make excuses for the lack of abilities. Right. So I had a great week. I with Michael Hayes teddy gov in Terry Taylor. John stacks, the one that. And then all I work with Kevin when he was still owes house at double red realm. No, he was gives. Okay. You know? He's just he was he was not he had you know, we still trying to find yourself at that point wasn't. He wasn't sure on that was a terrible gimmick. He was given. I'm being so they said at the end of the week where we like you. We want you to come. So I'm thinking, well you ever gets older me. I because I'd seen the writing on the wall by then you saw American see the I mean American shows were on TV in England. Now, once you've seen that you don't want to go back to what you know, a little ring with the under white light bulb above right? Just the way is. Yeah. It's fun for awhile bump for good taste of the C production. Everything I wanted to come to America. You know? I always want comes American everybody. Does. Right. Most people do. So now it's looking like an actual chance for me to come. So I go about my business the next year ninety two I am absolutely booked solid. I work with us two months in in England every single night. It was on fire. There's not they had been well disposed been taken off TV in nineteen eighty eight. And he went through a few ups and downs. You've taken off TV it was a lot of it to do with the promotion and not making any any new styles that was one thing. But that's not everything. Basically, a fellow coal. I in my house on a van pulls up outside. I had a few things in my house that shouldn't have been in there. But it that way because the result, you know, just the life, and the people I on ground with were always buying and selling things, and you know, like and not not bad thing. Just video Rico? Yeah. That was Paul just to get through life. That's what I did. And I thought it was a swat team comes and get me. So I'm panicky. Vamp loop outside you know, with with writing on that. I had no clue what it was. Oh, here we go. Yeah. Self now. So. I'm I'm sticking stuff on the couch and everything. Strut around stuff up in the attic. And there's a knock. And is just left the Lech on FedEx from the WWF. Can you come to the Royal Albert Hall? So you opened it. Well, I looked on the back. You said w. Yeah. So this can you come to the ROY album. We'd like to look at you. Whereas this come from this like a punch in the face. A good punch. It. So go down, and I get down, and I have a match the role of all I don't you ever seen? That was something that on. It was like a special show for England in the did about a Royal and Davey boy wonder buy them. And then they asked me to go to Wembley the next night. And then talk to me, and they said look, and that was in the days when everybody out of character. And everybody said look we like you he could be several years. So we get back into it. But we will keep in touch. But we you and we'll find the right thing for you. Because I was on E this kind of in twenty twenty one twenty two twenty two maybe. Yeah. I said great couple of weeks later. I get a call WCW was on light late night TV in England, can you common to work for us? This was November of ninety one still to this day. Don't know how about the I think it was Scott hall 'cause I Scott from nineteen eighty nine gymnast, but it. Yup. Lamont's within the I don't know who suggest him. I'm still don't know. How did he be over in England? I mean, I would what Jimmy fantastic good, worder brilliant. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. You've texas. Scott hall would a big Gabbara hat and big mustache people. Loved him. Yeah. Good look into and he fit right in. You know, he because he knew exactly outsor- to do stuff and then to fame with everybody. So I don't know he's I've asked him, and he's never said one way or the other. But anyway, so I go, and basically John ace tax was there and they wanted to look at him. And Russell, jR is all that's on Underwood's of time. So they wanted me to Russell. And then this can you stay for the rest of the week, somebody's her of something that's still never found out. "This clubs is just a great place today, and I had no athletic ability. I wanted to desperately to be arrested. I wasn't any good. You know, I was looking to get a break here that I had no flexibility. I was no good at it. Look like a break to get in it going, and then my view so a change. I was quite happy work in that anything. Well, I'm slowly getting a bit perhaps I can work on the biggest circuits in England than I worked on that. And then when about to about eighteen I started looking up, probably, yeah. Biting sightseeing, Dave Taylor and Tony sin. Clam. Pete Roberts was my big idol rally. And they will never ending much that you'd see him occasionally on shows, and they always seem to have a son sound on that always just coming back from. So my sounding exotic two million, and they would like this small group of British heavyweight wrestlers that were world renowned for for being really technically sound and dry that fly them in to make everybody. Look good, look like they could wrestle. You know, do these long drawn out wrestling matches that people can't do anymore. You know, like between eight or fifteen five minute round wrestling match and put people in and out of things and saw us help. I I'd like to that just sounded the best job in the world. You know 'cause they weren't stars anywhere. They were just they made a lot of money doing a lot money for for Ingvar standards. And then we're always away. And I thought that's what I wanna do not. So then I started learning that kind of stuff and luckily for me 'cause I was all I still get you know, because it was always a bit of a like a. Stood. There is a lot of the other fellas. Didn't the big styles in England when all small fellas. Really, right. It was the way when I started watching the world of sports dove at the five minute rounds of kind of I for me because I grew up all Americans. Now wrestling us run straight through times time and many time under all six minutes, whatever. And so you go to the five minute rounds? I'm like, oh man got them before Lou then a roof started studying it and each five minute round. I mean, it's like a mini match. I mean, could you got built in psychology in five minutes spurts this? And you know, how one guy comes? Maybe maybe it's maybe someone catches the follow his hurt. The other guy get what's minute break between rounds? And so it's very intriguing once you get into any still launch. These guys are working there. Azoff doing a great stuff in the ring. I love the technical stuff because I was watching the lighter weight guys go, but just within the framework of each five minute period, you know? They know where they're going with it depending on how many rounds they make. And do they go the distance? But what happens in each little setup, dude? I mean, that's a lot of damn plan. And in doing that for how many weeks in a row, whether you're doing the five format rounds or ending five minute rounds? But man, if you're working every single night your names, you're getting your chops in. Yes. Like crazy, Laura really make. I mean, if you had the Bill to acclimate and be doubted if you can't learn there, you can't learn anywhere. But it's tough. Well, they didn't see me who's just because you're used to sell from two thousand.
