"And sometimes the kids are the problem. And when I talk about the kids, when I talk about the kids, it's the players, the players did not respond in that first round, especially when their dying leader, Patrice Bergeron came back in an effort to spark this team, nothing and nothing. So it was, it was a disaster from all parties. And you know, I just don't, I honestly don't think that, you know, if Bruce Cassidy had this roster that he'd get this far. Yeah. And I mean, and on that, like is, is, is Vegas like out coaching Florida? Is Bruce Cassidy putting on this magical showcase of coaching or are his stars of Mark Stone, Chandler, Stevenson, William Carlson, Jack Eichel, these guys are all playing out of their marshes. So they're all playing to the top level that they're supposed to play in. Now, is that because of the motivational coaching? I don't know. Maybe, maybe they're just really freaking nasty players. Like exactly a part of it too. So like, well, you know, when you're handed a star started roster and they perform to the level that they're supposed to perform at, and we're, we're giving them the coach of the pat on the back. Like, absolutely. And you know, and I use the, the, the Brady and Belichick analogy before, but like, are the people in Winnipeg sitting there going, I can't believe we went Paul Maurice go. Oh my goodness. Why did, how could we let Paul, look, Paul Maurice is in the Stanley cup finals. How can we let him go? Like, I don't think they're doing that. And he resigned. He resigned up there. And I don't think that, you know, who the hell was it? The devils. I don't think the New Jersey devils were hemming and hawing because Claude Julian got here and won a cup of the Bruins. How could you let Claude Julian go? Oh my goodness. He just won a cup of the Bruins. Like you can literally play this game forever, especially in a sport where coaches to me seem to get more recycled more than any other league.

Golden Knights reach 2nd Stanley Cup Final after Game 6 win over Stars
"Las Vegas golden knights blank the Dallas star 6 to nothing in game 6 of the Western Conference Finals to advance the Stanley Cup finals against the Florida Panthers, golden knights jumped out to a three zero lead in the first 14 minutes and never looked back. Golden knights head coach Bruce Cassidy says he was impressed with the team's dominating performance. Yeah, well, it's definitely our best game of the playoffs and it came with the right time. You never know when it's going to happen. You always want to keep building. So boy, if we can bottle that, going forward, we're going to be a tough team to beat. William Carlson led the Vegas attack with a pair of goals and assists, goalie Aiden hill stopped 23 shots for the second playoff shutout in the series. Bob Stevens Dallas

"Every time we'd go to the bench, he looked like he was gassed. They played a lot of hockey. He doesn't really have an off switch as we've noted throughout the season. So he's not a player to preserve himself. We're to use his energy every time he's on the ice, he's going full blast. And maybe there's been a bit of that cumulative effect. But I think also just playing so many minutes, like William Carlson, it's interesting because he's not like, he moves perfectly well, right? He's not plotting, but he's not, I wouldn't, no one would describe William Carlson as like a burner, right? He has this unique ability of like absorbing the other team's speed and somehow always being in the way to kind of corral them and prevent them from having that open runway to fly through, right? We saw it against McDavid as well. McDavid is always going to get his opportunities, but there was like much less room, I guess, to like navigate freely. And I think that's kind of what's happening here for hints as well. And that must be just like, beyond just physically taxing, emotionally must be so frustrating. This guy's just like, every time you turn around, this guy's just like there and you're like, Oh man, this guy again, like just give me one shift without him. Right. And so I think there's an element of that, but you know, in the matchup game as well, you mentioned the forward matchups for Dallas, it's tricky because I think Miro Haskinen, even though he's had some struggles in this series and Eichel has gotten the better of him a few times, he's really the only guy they have from a foot speed perspective that has any chance of staying in front of them. The issue for that is generally when Haskinen's out there, he's accompanied with Ryan Suter and that is a terrible matchup. As we saw, I think Ryan Suter was on the ice for both Vegas' goals last night at 515, in particular the second one was a comical effort in my opinion.

Joe Pavelski scores in OT, Stars beat Golden Knights 3-2 to avoid West sweep

Joe pavelski furnished the game winner on a power play three 18 into the extra session. Vegas was less than two and a half minutes from completing a four game sweep when Jason Robertson scored his second goal of the night and fourth of the series. Jake gottinger stopped 37 shots and bouncing back from a poor start in game three. William Carlson and Jonathan marsh is so scored for the knights who could wrap up the series at home on Saturday. "But you know, if there's such a thing as like subtle speed, Eichel has it. He's such an elite puck protector. It's easy for him to kind of initiate that first step to kind of shake the defender. And you actually saw that in game one, which I'm surprised nobody jiffed where Eichel literally like that souped him. Like I couldn't believe it. And he kind of put him in his bin cycle, right? And shook him. Yeah. Yeah. And which is crazy because it's a matchup that for the most part, you know, Miro has hadn't had to, he hasn't had to deal with, but I think what's really been haunting Dallas is actually William Carlson. He's the forward who's played high skin the most out shooting 13 to four to the first, you know, three games. The Dallas forward who's seen the most, who he's seen the most is Rupert Hintz, who he's out shooting nine to six. And it's his back checking that kind of seems to spoil every middle of the ice attack that the top line tries. And even though someone like Carlson is not as fast as Hintz, he has enough loose puck speed to kind of more or less hang with them. And there's another guy that I want to talk about, and maybe we'll just kind of highlight him later, but that's Nicholas Wah, who I think really needs a sort of think piece to be written on him, written about it, because he deserves to be mentioned the same breath as Carlson, say from like, you know, four years ago and Stevenson, you know, within these last two years. Yeah, I mean, long time listeners of the show know I did a big thing on Nick Wah last year where I was like, I certainly hope that some enterprising team takes advantage of the situation and steals him for a second round pick with an offer sheet, because Vegas just simply cannot match and he needs to be playing up a lineup and no one did so.

"Like, why is he not getting that match up? I think the biggest reason was the job that William Carlson was doing on draisaitl and McDavid. They didn't the oilers did not score a goal this series with William Carlson on the ice against those two. Which is incredible. And woodcroft even admitted it after the loss in game 6. We asked him about not he was basically avoiding putting McDavid on the ice against Carlson, and he said, well, that's the matchup that Vegas would like, so we were trying to not have that and then Cassidy said, well, that tells you what they think about William Carlson, that they're and it backfired. It backfired on them because Cassidy puts Carlson out to start the game, would Croft says, okay, well, we're not putting McDavid out there. And then Connor McDavid ends up playing 5 minutes and 26 seconds in the first period, which I looked at that on the statue during the intermission and I was like, this is. Let me go on the Internet. Let me go on the NHL page and see what the number actually is. I could not believe my eyes. Connor McDavid played 5 minutes. And he scored the goal on the first shift of the game. His first shift. Yep. And then just didn't look in rhythm for the rest of the game. And back to the McLeod line. Woodcroft decided to put the mccloud line out there against Carlson as much as possible. In order to have draisaitl and McDavid away from Carlson. So Carlson's defensive efforts and not just Carlson. A Mario and wa and Smith who played against that on that line were excellent also. It wasn't just William Carlson, but he's obviously the center so he gets talked about the most. But the way they played against the Euler stars forced woodcroft to put that McLeod line against them, just for no other reason to avoid to try to get his stars going to try to get dry side on McDavid going.

"Systems go, okay, who's next on your list? I get a deep, another deep guy here, I've been barbershop mega school knights here. 12 ball wasn't just 34 points on the season, but 5 points here at 5 games with the gold knights two goals the other night against the Canadians. He goes hard to the net. And I think that's a really good player to have on your line with Jack eichel and Jonathan Marshall. You know, Mark stone is probably not going to come back here and tell the playoffs if he's on long-term IRA until that moment. And they've tried to balance out some of their lineups. They're lined up in particular. I mean, they've had Chandler Stevenson on that third line called Phil kessel and they've had William Carlson with Riley Smith, but giving him an opportunity right off the hop. It is another guy, just like neonatal fighter, right? Just under 17 minutes per game with his former team in the balloons in 1857 over his last four games. On that second power play unit, I can't imagine him getting on that first power play. You know, like you're not really going to get a lot of power play production, but he's a guy that is a bad hanger, right? You hear the turd and sandpaper get in the corner, get those loose box, all those cliches that you know, hockey analysts kind of toss out here and there, but 11 hits in his last three games. I think this is a perfect yet for the golden knights it's a sneaky little ad. It has experience. He's won a Stanley Cup a couple of years ago. I think a lot of firepower 2 of August and Jack Beck was playing really good. There was a moment where he came back from the injury and I think he went like two or three weeks really without a goal hole and he wasn't really productive, but we're starting to see him now shoot the puck a bit more, maybe he's more healthy Jonathan march or so is starting to hit the scoresheet a little bit more as well. So just the guy who's going to be surrounded around a better player is here in banks. Yeah, it's a good spot for him I believe that only Jack eichel amongst big his four boys is playing more than him so far as well since he got entered that lineup and at the time of the trade I was very skeptical on the player because I feel like with most blues players last year, the sort of inflated career you're shooting percentage distorted the perception of what type of player he is and I don't know it seemed like an aberration or an outlier in the grand scheme of his career, but I also said I could really see this especially for the rest of this season kind of working out in Vegas mining every single bit of value out of them because we just went through this a couple of years ago remember they acquired Matthias yammer at the deadline and I was like, oh, I don't know about this player and then all of a sudden it's kind of that system where you just plug and plug and play them and all of a sudden get more out of them and so yeah, as long as he's playing this role and it seems like there's no reason to believe that's going to change anytime soon, although Bruce Cassidy self admittedly loves to put the lines in a blender and mix up everyone. And so there's certainly a scenario where a couple games go by and they're struggling to score again all of a sudden he's playing with much lesser players and I wouldn't recommend him at that point, but as long as he's playing with Michael Marshall so it's kind of a no brainer to sort of plug them in and get some of those peripheral stats as well.

"Know at the time. I think looking back, we kind of knew. That when Sam Gerard had the park ripped away from leading to William Carlson's goal that gave Vegas their first lead of the game that That might have done in the Colorado Avalanche. The excuse me, the Avalanche. They couldn't afford to chase this game. Last night. They just couldn't not in that building. Not an elimination game. They had to get out on the front foot and they had to stay there into their credit. They did what they have done a lot of this series and that's taken early lead. They took a very early lead. And when Vegas tied the game up, you thought Okay, well, Probably going to happen. You know, the apps have got to get one more than one goal if they're going to win tonight. But they had to protect against that next goal. Because if they gave it up, then what transpired for the rest of the game was It was it was bound to happen. And give Vegas credit. They did exactly what you need to do. You got the lead. And then you just you know you held onto it. Mean the AVS to their credit battle back. Answer time and time again. But one's Vegas took control that game, and once they had the lead, then all they had to do was protect against Multiple goals in a row. And and they could win that game. Knowing they could always come back. They could always answer. I had three keys to that game last night. Get up early. Have your best players, be your best players and avoid scoring runs. They did. Most of two of those But once again, the goals for the Knights came in pairs last night. Two in the first period. Two between the second and the third. That basically put the game away. And then Vegas just tacked on from there to make it a more decisive victory. But They only needed four. And as great as Philipp Grubauer was in this series. Yeah, she gave up the softest schools. I mean, the AVS after asked him during this series to do way too much. Asked him to do way too much. President Trophy or no visited trophy. The ABS didn't put Philipp Grubauer in in good positions..

Is you know we didn't see him throwing up a four point game like he. Did you know in game one. But to that point, I mean, before Game three, Colorado ahead, won six straight playoff games and they had not lost in the post season this year, and they had barely even trailed. They had that lead as you point out in the third period. So what did your guys show you in the way they battled back in the third. Well, we needed. You know, I kept thinking to myself as the third period went on. When they took the lead. We needed somebody to make a play. We needed somebody to make a play. And of course, when you get You know deeper into the playoffs and you're playing really good teams. That's what you need is people to step up when, when needed, and Jonathan Marshall so was able to, uh, tie the game Forest. Johnson's had a great series three goals again the next game and then Shortly after he scored to tie the game the building was, you know, very energized Max Patch already the deflected a nickeled and shot to give us the 32 lead was stood up. As the winner. So, um, you know, somebody to make that play, I think is really what we're looking for. Unfortunately, Jonathan Marshall still was able to do that for us. Kelly McCrimmon joining us exactly right. Like you know, you need somebody make a play. Chances are it's going to be that guy. And the team follows up that game three win with that 5 to 1 win and he had a hat trick in that game. Like how huge was he in that situation? And then what do you make of the way the team performed overall in Game four? Well, we played really well in both. To be honest, we played really well in Game two, which was 32 loss. To Colorado in overtime. Uh, so we wouldn't doubt went home down two games to zero. Obviously, Game three was was a huge win to get us back in the series. Game four was probably our most complete game and in that game, William Carlson's line, So when you look at the makeup of our team, we're in our fourth season. The one uh a lot of things have changed, but the one thing that has been a constant sense. Nobody two or three weeks in the season One was the line of Riley Smith, William Karlsson and Jonathan March facilities. Played together for the most part entirely, all four seasons and their line really performed well in Game two of the game four and, you know, with Marshall shows. Patrick leading the way. Kelly McCrimmon is joining us. Kelly mentioned the fans and I want to get into that because you know what you have, but it's really curious to me to see the way the opposition always reacts to it as an example, Avalanche head coach Jared Bednar said after the game quote, it's allowed. It's hard to hear anything in there. You can tell by my voice just talking on the bench. Just trying to call the next line. I'm losing my voice. There's a lot of noise in that building, and the reason I mentioned that is you don't have one of the best fan bases in hockey. You have one of the best fan bases to me in all of sports. And when you consider the relationship the team has with the community. It becomes even stronger. Like how would you describe that relationship and the lift that everybody gets from that crowd? Well, I think you've you've touched on it. It is just incredible. And, uh, it's unique. I've been in lots of loud buildings, but just the the energy and the atmosphere and the party feel the vibe. That comes out of our building. It's it's really intimate. The way that the building is built. It's tight. It's 17,000. 500 person seating capacity than with standing room puts us over 18. But they're on top of you and and they come to enjoy the game, and it's it's interesting. Will oftentimes get found from the visiting team and our fans enjoy those people. You know, they treat them well, which I don't think always happened when fans go on the road, but it's just really Really good energy in the building. And to Jerry. Better point you You couldn't talk to the guy beside you. It was It was that loud in there, and, uh, you know, again, we rode that and that gives our team energy as you'd expect. We're talking about Kelly McCrimmon. Of course, I want to ask you about Mark Stone. He was doing the first captain in team history. I know that That's not a decision. That was made lightly. And in fact, the team and had a lot of success without an official captain. So why was it important to give him the C and what kind of an impact have you noticed as a result? Well, we had gone without a captain the first three seasons and you know that was a little bit. Almost the identity of our team in the early stages was, you know, we had 23 captains players from all across The National Hockey League that were pushed the curve by the existing team that came Was something to prove, and and and it seemed to really be a good dynamic in a good way to have the leadership of those early teens forms. Derek England, obviously was Huge part of our leadership group in the three years that he played, and it was working. I think we could have easily continued that way. But sometimes when you've got a guy you feel is the obvious guy. I think that you need to To validate that person and mark is really grown in the role. We expected that he would. He's a player. That's Very passionate. No leads by example. And yet it's very humble. And I didn't You know, I think he'd put his own boundaries on what level of leadership he could provide, wearing an a.

"In of course review what you can expect in the next series moving forward but before we do that. I want to remind everyone that this podcast is sponsored. By one hour air conditioning and heating we are also presented by blue air. Podcasts as a reminder please check out our written work review journal i come. We've got you covered from so many angles coming off this game. A dave game story was grade. Our colleague rainy wrote a really good column. Holly adam hill roads a story from the wild perspective of horse. I had are a big colorado avalanche review. Ready to go that we're able to hit send after the final buzzer. We're able to do that. Because the goldmans won their first game seven at home they won a series for the first time. Ever at home with a six two victory tonight. Matija sheehan mark scored his first nhl hattrick in the second planet. Patrick in nights history so make it happen a some other big story lines. Max patch ready played for the first time since may burst. It missed a letter. Twelve games in a row and all he does is end up scoring the game winning goal. In the second period cynic hagen zach whitecloud also scored their first goals of this series. It's got up a one. Nothing in the first period that got up to one in the second but the Wild fought back the tide each time then the game just kinda ended up getting very one sided from there Dave overall you know. What did you think Taken this one. In what. I really liked the most. If i'm gonna be in a knights fans shoes and all that was they went for it like that wasn't sit back. Conservative games have like data. You play a game seven you go for like they had their foot on the gas and and it was attack attack attack almost from the opening faceoff. I loved their mentality that they didn't just kind of sit in way into all. I think you do that on the road. In light of the way that they played in game six even though it didn't turn out there in their favor. I think that's what they had to do to try to get that series finished in minnesota. But you don't do that at home and they didn't they absolutely just you know i. I can't say the phrase young. I'll just say bleep to the wall By that's what it was. And you know max pacioretty comes out and does you know all day myself here. I'll be the guy as well as read moment from whatever is used his flu but as michael jordan flew game. Whatever you know trots out you for warm ups and obviously everybody got excited about that but that just that lived up to a game seven that you want. Yeah the tension in the close ones maybe overtime game. Those are always fun. Mike you want a little anxiety but the way that those two teams went out each other and physically offensively and really just tried to try to go for it in win game seven and not played to not lose. That's what i loved about watching that game. More than anything. So many storylines of course coming on you touched on Them already a little bit there but the line talk about is a little bit more because i feel like it was created how he emerged as kind of this class hero for the knights as reminder of course he was a trade deadline acquisition. The knights steve a second third round. Pick fire him from chicago. They also sent a their rivals. San jose a fifth round. Pick to acquire him. Ed lamps to make the salary cap space work and i'm sure sharks fans are just thrilled that the you know this all work out the way did on the tc. Mark had one goal in his first. Twenty one games with the night so fifteen regular season games the first six playoff games of the series and it wasn't empty netter and all he does then is four three goals a to deliver a game seven victory for the nights. He scored their first goal to put them up one nothing. He scored their fiscal to basically kinda seal enwrap the series up and then he got an empty net goal late to rainhats down on the t. mobile organized main david in terms of you know the guys that could have. I guess decided. This game decided this series. How far down was mataya mark. Potentially on that list for you coming into tonight pretty far down. Especially when you put it into that context which i wish i had included into my game soaring. I'm now kicking myself in all maybe even updated for for our online version so so folks are hearing this. Maybe they can actually see it but you know i think. What's fun about playoff hockey. Is that guys like that. You know seem to emerge. There's always somebody down the lineup that gets hot stake in kind of carries the team. A little bit gives you secondary scoring i. You know maybe maybe not mark not the most obvious candidate especially after max pacioretty goes into the first line in everything kind of bumps down and everybody's in their kind of correct spots i think is pete deboer sort of the said Eluded to you know. Maybe you think like alex talk. I guess when maybe have better match by yen mark was the one who put himself in two spots. Thought you know the one that i really liked especially was the second goal that he scored more so just a way that he did driving the net getting a pass from nick wa that you know who was behind the goal line in scoring down low in in in front of chantelle would not these like long range shots in in all those other sorts of things like the first one was great unreal individual effort to chip the puck over ian coal. You know after stealing in the neutral zone in like a really good move to get access forehand in kind of tuck it in around talbot but you know i just thought the second one in really kind of be the dagger there And then the third to kind of messing around on twitter with this is how close was allen to like the william carlson one on a new year's eve the first year where he made the kind of diving sweep with a stick to a finish off a hat trick. Very close very similar is crazy. Ala you get these coincidences in these key. Games on another person. Shoutouts night would be shea theodore who had no points in this series entering game seven. He came up with two assists tonight on. But the other guy that we really have to focus on besides the market. We've already mentioned above. Is max pacioretty. Ellum sure many people listening to this are well aware it's been an interesting in kind of nebulous situation for patch. Ready this entire postseason. Or he's been basically a game time for seven straight games including tonight and the the most part. It seemed like it was a fairly easy decision because patty hadn't been stating what the team so it was assumed that he wasn't gonna go for the first six games. He didn't go and The team had an optional morning skate. Today's we didn't get to see a lot of the players on the ice. Maybe a lot of players on the ice because it was an optional. And so the first real indication that max pets already was very close to playing in wasn't degan. Tearing.

"Now i think you kinda hinted at like even. Today it's hard to put Too many of these goals on him of the you put som- or assign him blame at different points for some of the goals last two games. Thank you in the primary culprit unions night. If you wanna lay some blame at his feet. The offense ended up scoring no goals in. It's very hard for a goaltender to win. Is his offense. Does that for him but they've do think You know this raises some questions for pizza. War ahead of game. Seven on friday or do you think at this point. Six games enter the series. That it's too late almost for them to make a goaltending change if they're even to consider one min i don't change. Nashes me like like you said you laid out pretty well. I don't think the goaltending was the problem. I think if you are to change it it sends a completely different message that sends almost an image of maybe panic that you know you're going back home but game seven in you need to change your goal. You need to feel like you know you have to find the spark or something different batches. That's alarm bells to me. That's a red flag if you're doing that as a coach if i'm in that locker room like you know three three. They lost you know essentially two or three nothing. I mean it's three enough on the scoreboard. But you know the bucs sehgal is like what lay breakaway when they're pushing Whatever basically a two game you know. So i mean to me. It's the offense to me that the problem is they need to. You know get a lead at it and in play from ahead. They couldn't do that in game five. I got the lead in just basically relaxed two crashed into each other in front of the net and gave the middle of the ice wide open zuccarello to make across fee capris often boom. Then all of sudden he's in the series they get some momentum parisi bangs one in from in tight balance jordan greenway banks one in from inside third chance on his own rebound so like. Somebody's things are some guys in front of flurry. Some of these things. Are you know scoring issues on whatever so to me. Just because we're just talking about the goaltending now. I i don't change because soon as you do minnesota's over there you know rubbing their hands going all we got him. We got him into your point about the starts. The knights of scored the first goal in this series. Only two six times. One of those times was game. Five where they they immediately up three straight goals to the wild there might sell one eight lasted less than a minute. I'm so for talking about you. Know not changing role. Tenders which i think is a very rational view How do you think the knights have to change their name to kind of prevail in a game seven. And who are you potentially looking to step up to go through some of the stats. The in the series for guys you wrote about this heading into game six ner remain true tonight. Jay theater has no points in this series. So far and as i mentioned he was kind of at fault for a bad page on the go ahead goal or the while tonight a train lil as two points of the knights have tried playing two of them together quite a bit in the series generate offense including on that goal. I just talk about that largely. Hasn't worked and then no one outside of mark stone was points now as four points as more than three points in this series of those of the only two guys mark stone announced were basically scoring at more than a half a point per game case so far So what are you looking for the nights to potentially change up in game seven. Who needs to be kind of the forefront of them doing that if they want to advance. I don't know how i want to be here with this answer. I'll be kind of the problem. What do you do you change like we are just all of a sudden. You know like opening up the play wide open hockey without your leading goal score Without to other forwards at our regulars in your lineup even though their bottom six guys like i'm not sure that's the best way to go about doing it. And then the catch twenty. Two of the flip side is if you play like you did tonight. You're essentially trying to make it a a one mistake game. I thought they were pretty good for two periods thought. They did what they needed to do on the road you know. They took the crowd out of it for the most part early. it was kind of a sleepy first period. I thought in the second period the hit on. Wyckoff from felino knocked. Glass lose that got everybody gone and then obviously like dedom- ahead on talk and in the ensuing fighting dumbo waving his arms. And you know doing all all that good stuff. It seemed like it got a little energy into the building but you know it was still nothing. Nothing i mean. The nights are right there. Type g me wanna play. I mean each you. Keep a close low event hockey. Don't give up a lot of chances and then you see your opportunity. You try to take it. I like i d really wanna go home and play a game seven where you're essentially like neutrals on trapping and sitting back and just trying to you know right out a one nothing to nothing to one game like. I don't feel like the nights can do that either. To nervy the every time they get into these close games like this they. You know they sorry. They pooped the bed by they just. They're not a team. That is comfortable playing. You know one one nothing nothing. They seem pretty comfortable tonight. I'll give it to him but for the most part that's not the way that they liked to play. There's other teams that just keep on grinding and keep on going in there totally content to just keep going one one nothing nothing whatever. It might be like a soccer team or something in the nights are just not that way so i don't know what the answer is bike. Yeah they need to change something. Yeah they need to quit throwing shots from the perimeter in you know just loading up shot counter but not actually testing cam. Talbot i mean. I don't play in the second period. William carlson kind of jumped on a loose puck in for Hit the crossbar. I think can tell. Talbot's shoulder maybe got a got a piece it but like i mean how many great saves the talbot me i struggle to think of any a struggle. Think of india is made the last couple of games to be to be quite honest. Maybe i'm missing something here.

"Mean, Dallas may be saying, Hey, we got our kind of done early, hopefully doesn't happen again, um, with stars, but he had you know, and on the other hand to go can they were the last ones playing. They played the last game of the season. They might still been shaken off some of the other injuries. But really, you know, it's one of those situations that there's you know, Aside from doing your part as an individual and social distancing and Making sure that your family does the best job that they can so that you don't kind of bring it in At the end of the day, you know nothing really. They can do except try to make the best of a bad situation. So you know, when they come back, they're gonna you know, probably rolling all four lines, which they did A lot of the playoffs anyway. Rowland 60. They got the taxi squad. Given some players from rest. They got two. Good goalies there. Got Bishop and Anton Khudobin Khudobin. Pardon me, And so, you know, like that team is set up pretty well. I think to have success even if they do have to cram in a bunch of games. A lot of food that they went to the cup finals. You know, a lot of people predict them to win it all. And so did you have some older veterans, so we'll see how it wears on those guys. But I think Dallas is set up pretty well, too. To deal with that. But who knows, man? I mean, you know the least may have to deal with that. They may have to postpone a bunch of games and next thing you know, they're playing for five games a week. You know, I don't know it Z. I don't think there's going to be the only delay or break that we're gonna have from a team of postponements from a team for covert. His camp Goran. He hails from the Ontario area initially, by the way from your Blue Jays fans want to just get this out there came across the wire George Springer has signed with the Blue Jay. Six years 150 million. So leaving the Astros and going to Toronto. And that's good news for Blue Jay fans, because we know Springer's one heck of a player. We're talking Puck right now, with Cam Gore and the Vegas cold nights off to that three of those start. Lot of depth on this Gold Knights team. And you and I talking about Leonard and Marc Andre Fleury and Fleury is going to get his his starts defensively. Potro Angel coming over, But, you know, shake Theodore's there. They got Alec Martinez from the King's near the end of the year. A couple years ago. Brayden McNabb. They've got some players. No question. Schmidt, of course on to Vancouver, but I like the offensive that you mentioned Mark Stone and Patch already. William Carlson's got to come up Big and and the youngster Cody glasses to start delivering but marches. So's another one. That has been really consistent. And Riley Smith and Alec stuck these guys, they're solid. The problem for Riley Smith is he's gotten hurt the last couple years and has missed, you know a bunch of games here in their very important for the Gold Knights. I think to keep Riley Smith healthy because I think he's a guy that really adds to the the offensive punch for Vegas. Yeah. You know, in the first year, uh, you know when you guys went to the finals there, Riley Smith and marches. So we're huge, huge part of that now they don't have to be as much because you do have some more scoring depth. But can those guys they're also to really for his small guy, especially marked so you know you like you'd be shocked standing next to him. He's not a big guy. I mean, you know, in the NHL, you look at a lot of these stats. And they're nobody's holding them accountable. And boy, this should you like to embellish on those stacks? You know Mitch Margaret last year they did 6 Ft. £185, Will you go 591 65 In reality, you know, maybe a little more this year. You put on some weight this year, but Um, yeah, You know, two guys, great hockey players, and they're way better with those guys out there. Uh, you know when that's going to be part of the coaching that Z going to be a bigger thing that coaches have to pay attention this year to 10 is managing their players. Even some guys sometimes off time off. And put them in as a healthy scratch. Put them in the press box and years. Pies. If you were a healthy scratch, and you sat in the press box, then you were weren't playing good hockey, And that was like a punishment, But now it might be a look at the long It's a long while to shortened season, But it's gonna be a tough few months with a lot of games. So nowadays there might be a look. I'm going to sit in the press box. You're playing great hockey. Keep doing. What you're doing is not a punishment. We're just trying to prolong. You know the players and the health and trying to keep everybody healthy going into the playoffs, and that's gonna be a tough pill for some guys to swallow. But you know, at the end of the season, when you know teams, they're in the playoffs. And they're able to cruise on into the playoffs and play good hockey and guys, they're healthy. You know, You've got to credit that management to that. So it's good to be a different year from that aspect as well. I think you're going to see more of that You're going to see more that that you've never seen before. It's gonna be a tough pill for players to swallow, but I really think it's gonna be an important thing. And you know anything to about that, you know, they got Was either marches, so we're Riley. One of them came in the expansion draft from Florida. And when they traded from Florida, Ken for a bag of pox. Animal wife, Lord, I didn't didn't want them. I forget which one? It wasn't. It was marked so they just pretty much traded for a bag of punks and rise experience in the expansion draft, But You know, Florida Panthers or team that have been rebuilding for years and how they gave up those two guys. I just never can understand. I just still shaking my head on that one. If they have been to really productive players. I know they've had some injury issues. But for the most part, those guys have been on the ice and playing a lot of games for you guys. So bit of Ah, you know, you can call that probably chalk that up to the George McPhee highway robbery of the The expansion draft a few years ago because people still talk about some of the moves that he made. Yeah, And you know what's on real is it wasn't even the good parts. These were the faulty parts that they just took out. Uh, metal beat in the middle. Yeah, Exactly. All right. Real real quick. Camcorder. We've got five games tomorrow night. Edmonton at Toronto. Right now, the least minus 1 44 6.5. The total San Jose is at Saint Louis Blues minus 1 75 6, the total Minnesota's at Anaheim, It is Minnesota minus 1 33 5.5, the total Montreal at Vancouver. Canadians minus 1, 18 6, The Total and Arizona in Vegas. Play that second game here at, uh, T Mobile. It is Vegas minus 1 96 5.5. What about those leaves? Minus 1 44 at home. 6.5 high total. Sometimes we'll see a seven. But you know when you get a 6.5, they're expecting some goals to be scored. Toronto it end Edmund 10, So they're looking for at least seven goals. If you want to play the over and that one. What about the Leafs at home tomorrow against Edmundson, whose off to a slow start? Yeah, You know, I would. I think we're inclined to take the over on that one. That could say, I know there's no fans there, but still meant David likes to play in Toronto. He's from like I say from the area. He's also due for a break out game. He's only scored in one game so far this year. I think the Oilers air do Uh, for a big, big scoring night and the least consider your as one thing they can do is score. Um Freddy Anderson played pretty well against, um Against Winnipeg get and I don't even know if he's gonna get the start. But so far this year, I haven't been impressed with Anderson. He hasn't been. He's letting some weak ones he let in some soft ones. And the goaltending for evidence isn't great. So five to pick something on that when I'd probably do the over There you go. I'm on it over 6.5 used to have a buddy and me when the NFL totals would can ideas always go over the highest high and under the lowest low Because there's a reason those numbers are like they are. Yeah. Yeah, And then you know, I think, uh, you know, Travis Green, the coach for the For the Canucks there, he's he's he was, you know, he wasn't Ah, Heavyweight or anything, but he was a top hockey player. He played tough. He didn't fight a lot of fun a little bit, but he he played very tough, even if a scary guy And I think he's gonna have his connects. Playing pretty well. I think so far. Montreal's over achieved a little bit, but I think that connects they're going to play better hockey than what we've seen so far. Um, so that might.
