"Fast for forty days and forty nights the preparation for the beginning of his preaching ministry. The preparation for him to be go to go out and be since they draws to the wilderness for forty days too fast from food he was hungry. It says verse two ends with. He was hungry and then the Tim then the devil shows up and begins to tempt him and the first thing he goes after after is bread. I've got food. Aren't you hungry. and Jesus connection to the father. He didn't just wander around looking at the sand or the trees or whatever it was for forty days he didn't just go spend time in the wilderness by himself he connected intentionally to the father there and his response to all three temptations from the devil was scripture was a connection to the father man does not live on on bread alone. The devil tempted him with flesh. Desires food power security. All of this can be yours. He attacked his physical body. That's weakest point but Jesus connection in. That moment was not to his hunger. Your pains it was not to the flesh desires. It was a connection with the father. Satan attacked his identity as a son of God and Jesus came out of the wilderness unfazed by the temptation. In Luke. Four fourteen says Jesus returned to Gallery Galilee. You in the power of the spirit. The end result of this connection to the father is in Daniel's case wisdom understanding favor you you and Jesus is situation. The end result of this connection with the father is the power of the Holy Spirit. The understanding that I'm going to go out and I'm GONNA face temptation. I'M GONNA go out. I'M GONNA persecution. I'M GONNA go out on my ministry and I'm going to be tired. I'm going to be hungry. I don't WanNa sleep with the father. Author will sustain me. The father will power me. The father provides. That's that's the beauty of this connection with the father fasting. We will be hungry. We will be tired. It will be challenging we pour. We're into the engagement side of the discipline. How do we connect with the father? And this is encouraging for me. As I read this Romans eight nine and ten says is this that we are not in the flesh but in the spirit if in fact the spirit of God dwells in you anyone who does not have the spirit of Christ does not belong to him but if Christ iced is in you although the body is dead because of sin the spirit is life because of righteousness the spirit empowered Jesus as he left the Wilderness holderness and the spirit dwells among us for connected to the father this idea detachment we pair them up together in the same because it may not be food for you it may not be food for you but it's it's probably something it's probably something that's tethering you down that's tie that's holding you back from connecting with the father and this idea of detachment for me at times more downstream. I'm more aware of this more evident to me. The things that bind me up and hold me back. Yeah but it's also just been about managing the calendar at times also been about was detached from this. Let's let's untethered from this thing. I turn my phone notification so it doesn't bother me as much. We'll my replacing it with my pouring into my relationship relationship with Christ. I'M GONNA look at a couple examples this morning. The first one listener detachment is an example of a non example right this non non example of detachment mark ten seventeen through twenty seven. We would know it as the rich run the rich young ruler. He comes to Jesus Zinni and he says what shall I do inherit eternal life. I've done all these things. I've kept the commandments. I've I've done what I believe the law tells me to do and Jesus says one thing you lack go so everything you have and give to the poor and you will have treasure in heaven then come follow. Tell me the man did not do it. He says he went away. Sad his possessions his wealth his value who. He was as a rich young ruler. Whatever that was had more value to him than the connection was Jesus held them back from fully living into who he was called to be and then Peter Speaks up and says we've left everything everything to follow you? Hey look at him. He won't do anything he won't sell that. I've given up everything that's where a second story comes in the example here is Peter saying I left it all I detached from everything including my father. What about US Luke? Five one through eleven is the story of the calling of Simon Peter and Andrew you out fishing the comeback in they didn't catch anything Jesus says. Hey let's go out and catch some fish like we've been out there all night long. He's like let's just go again. They push out and cast their nets and they begin to pull it in and it's so heavy it's sinking the boat and they call their buddies off the sea as they come over your help us. We're going down in cut the nets. Let's and release the fish. They got other boat and they get it into the shore. and Jesus says you're fishing for men and it clicked and they left everything everything the Hall of their life. They're both their nets. And then Luke says they left their father Zebedee on the shore. Their example here is something was going to prevent them from spending time with. Jesus can't have have the life of a fisherman and follow the savior around so they they knew what it was for them. The rich young ruler giving get it. He didn't. We know that his wealth was the problem when it was exposed to him and his eyes were open. He don't WanNa know part of it. Simon Peter Andrew said I'm going to detach from what I know. What's comfortable for me? What is what is life giving me provides me my income the time with my dad on the water going to set that aside to follow? Oh you it's not about simply abstaining from something. It's about setting something aside in order to connect with the father and so for me. What is it please understand as we move moving this section about application about about setting something aside in order to commit to something else about plugging into a power that comes from Christ? I'm not saying that these things are bad. Don't want any many bay feel guilty about their possessions or their time or their phones or their or their hobbies or the fact. They're going to sit on the couch tonight and WanNa be completely -pletely unplugged from everything else except for football game. Do not feel guilty. I'll be there with you all of these. These things food sleep exercise companionship. Intellectual curiosity flatly desires convenience comfort material security fame legitimate desires Zaire's of human beings. Those things are in eight. Those things are natural. Those things in and of themselves are not bad when they have an unhealthy position in order of importance in our life. That's where the problem begins to the happen to. Some degree is normal to satisfy the desires but when it becomes the chase instead of chasing after relationship with Christ just these items become our idols. They become things that we can't live without just like the rich young ruler. Wer You are engaged. I think that's how you say it. It's necessary that we should steadily resolve to give up anything that comes between ourselves in God steadily resolve. I figured out. I don't do a good job with technology. Still it's a steady process right. It's a daily commitment if it's fasting for you. It is not like like every Monday. You wake up and say a whole it's Monday. We don't eat today. I it's a it's a regular commitment to give up something that comes between our relationship with God so I said this beginning my message and those of you who may not know me. I mean. I'm the school superintendent but I spent a lot of time in the buildings. It's been a lot of time in events and seen kids in the last eleven years. How you go to a basketball game has changed changed dramatically than it was when I started right? We tweet about we we We share instagram photos of it there on the. Oh this wallet. Interface won't take my password and the southern the Wallet told you see I Peter Schiff a lot and everybody's saying he forgot his password but that's not what he's saying. He's saying that that the passwords not working and he knows that the right password. Yeah no I've had the same problem. Immuno- blockchain dot info has is used the first Phone one added issues. You know and I got a billion dollars over there somewhere the this this tenth ladder we have captain mark. Yada Yada Yada Yada. There was a point on that we sought refuge in Cyberspace Pioneers of our own digital wilderness holderness but the crown came again ravenous for any set of trade or treasure again we were hunted and our assets seized freedom exists just beyond the crowns grasp grasp and we declare without reservation that we intend to leave when we take to the sky. How high must we reach your type bins on my thing? how high we reach the stratosphere the magnetosphere the moon how large is the crown sphere of control. The crown has no claim over any celestial body so we will become celestial bodies. Now that right there when we do the pioneers of our own digital wilderness but the crown came ravenous for any sense of trader treasure. Now in Oh two and two. I filed initiative that sat there for a decade on the city of Phoenix. That said Ed and you only get like three months of signatures ninety days at their good so I kept filing no activity report. But it's kept sitting there. Go ahead Piss me off and I'll do this and it was a city charter change. That said that they could not. The city of Phoenix could not collect tax revenue on Internet sales. And when I I did already we're not GONNA do that. I go yeah well followed anyway I would just keep it here and that's just all there were just all Ernie's going. Oh we want to earn a wall. There are pissed and finally they did a passable ordinance or law to be able to take it off or something I could like. Yeah whatever you know. 'cause I knew they were going to do what they're gonNA do but I wanted to make it clear that we understood no matter what they're saying they're lions access. Not so this is what we're talking about. We created our own Digital Wilderness who went to cyberspace hyperspace. We got away from you. Earn their and then all of a sudden here you're saying do they hunt you and they take your assets. I give you jobe weeks. They took all his stuff Iressa. So I've been kind of all on that but not recently He's in New Jersey now. They moved them around all over. The place got him and he has a bail hearing be if he can be bailed out pending trial or whatever and begin February. Sorry I think and so right ladders and the judge and you know and let my people go and it's and he's Jobe. He's he's lost like thirty pounds. He said the food sucks so he just lose weight your I think he's happy about that anyway. But his wife Stephanie. And his baby liberty They're perfectly welcome invited them just come hang out here. They feel like they may and it's she's moving there to be closer to them so that they can visit more and but they're they charged him with all kinds of Ponzi. Your bad something. I don't know what it is because I I didn't read. We put it up on frames Phoenix. We had the paperwork island in the paperwork. It says that no. But that's that's what my opinion is is he went to F- signs him. Jeff Berwick and lucrative Hausky just went jobe stayed on the boat route. You know 'cause they're coming. You know the machine guns in. Yeah so we got to see jeopardy run but the This This this community. I've been doing this probably longer than most of the guys you know since the late eighties. And how are you not a lot of trouble all the time. Well it's not that I am not trying but it's a different tactic. I just do it a little bit differently because I understand what the end goal is is and it's not a lot of people go in it to make money and they wanted you know resort my database proprietary wherever the crap. That's not me so i. That's not not a vector that they get me from and it's just general not after an individual particular anything. It's just a crown in general and that's why we you do it this way. The crown the crown the crown the crown the crown this idea government that we created so it's not them. That's the problem it's us. And because there's there's always this four or five percent associate passed a rule everybody in for their pleasure. And don't have any empathy no care. It's just quit giving them a badge you know. Here's a gone on a clipboard and a badge. Yeah you know I was just stupid so I'm just I'm really. I'm advocating against that. So this strip going to make sure we come by visit. We gotta go by visit. Thomas we did on Or tried to on our way in October. We went by there but it was raining. We couldn't help them cut wood and then so we have another French ruin saw another friend Greg Tibnin that lives in bunker Missouri which is Raleigh around there somewhere for. And how far away from there are you. I think it's about two and a half hours three now. We need to get you guys hooked up we go around there. Maybe we'll pick them up. Pick boss over or something like that and now we got a lot of work to do. Today it's been great spending time with the. I'm glad you came on Neil all said hey and when we get done with this you know I guess you can read along what we'll do is I'll leave the youtube channel going gene and I'll check in on every now and then if you guys WanNa comment while we do the letter good now. We'll do that and and you got got. How long do we do because we had to go to the meeting last night? We're almost late. You know and uh make you left now so it was now. What would you think of that? You know how we do. Yep that's typically how I write to. I usually get it all out. Get the whole general thought. And then I pick it down into the most clarifying in words avoid duplicates we spend. That was one thing that's interesting. We spent a lot of time on the words and they won one if they have a pirate nautical meeting kind of thing that helps and if they do you go. Look it up like you know. Davi came up with this in every age. The crown establishes its institutional belligerency. And I go well. It's war machine. You knows what he's saying. Basically but I looked up you know. Belligerency belligerency I.

"The renewing of your mind is daily work and sometimes it is moment by moment our by our work that we have to do every single day so Romans twelve to says do not be conformed to this world but be transformed by the renewal of your mind that by testing thing you may discern what is the will of God what is good and acceptable imperfect and what is so powerful about this passage is were Paul and not really just this passage but one of the things that Paul talks about often is how he he has learned to be content right he talks about not being do not be anxious about anything but an all things right but he talks about how he has learned to be content. He talks about how he has learned to to that he can do all things through Christ who strengthens him not because he has not and was not being tested in those moments not because his body was not physically ailing not because his emotions were not wrought but because he had to work to hold onto the the knowledge and the truth about how Christ strengthens him and hold onto the truth and the power of of what it means to have the Holy Spirit living inside of him to be able to access the strength that surpasses all understanding and gives us access to this peace peace that surpasses all understanding. So when you think about the attacks that we are under every day and I was talking about this with some Some of my friends we were doing a Bible will study and about how we are under spiritual attack every single day and that is not passive work in order order to deal with an address and and fight literal spiritual enemies. You can't be all you know. Just everything's all right. You have to be vigilant solent right and say like guard your heart with all village vigilance. They're all so many reminders in scripture that talk about the importance of being mindful mindful of your mind and being mindful to grasp onto what we know about the character of Christ and working to adapt it to ourselves and not not in a way not working away that Gilts us right not working in a way that condemns us because we know there's no condemnation for those who are in Christ not not in a way that that kind of burdens you because you're still making progress but in a way that is accepting the invitation that you are are that you have access to something that can keep you growing stronger every single day. We have access to a strength within us. That is changing us and shaping us every single day as long as we approach and give access to and give that that power access to our hearts and approach the word to learn more about what the word says about who we are and that work is daily work which is why many of us talk about and I know I struggle with is was whenever I fall out of a routine of my devotion and of my prayer and spending time with God. I feel myself slipping in a different direction. That's it's not coincidental right. There's a reason why drawing nearer to the Cross has its benefits as a reason. Why using God's word as a as a As a foundation for the way that we approach our lives has its benefits right so just remember that the renewing of your mind is daily. We were it is something that you have to fight for but not fighting in a way that you were using your own strength but fight in a way remembering that that Christ this is in your corner that the spirit of God lives within you and so you are not doing this alone you are not you do not have to be to fight this battle on your own. But you do have to be intentional about wielding the weapons that you need in order to see the victory that she were after so I will just review one time for the one time the lessons that I've learned in twenty nineteen. And I appreciate you for indulging me in this journey and going through this goal setting series that we've been talking about for now probably the last like like four or five episodes so just quickly the lessons that I've learned this year and you can hear the others that I talked about in episode one. Twenty six the first staying in your wilderness holderness season is a choice or it might be a series of choices or the same choices you keep making over and over again God is not the author of confusion mm-hmm habits build on each other. You playing small serves no one rest and quiet. Time are not optional. National Stop expecting to feel no fear as you walk in the purpose that God has for you and last but not least renewing. Your remind requires work every single day. And those are the lessons that I learned in two thousand nineteen. I did an activity on instagram. Not An activity really but A. I asked the question because I was interested to hear if people had chosen models or themes or affirmations affirmations for twenty twenty and I got a lot of responses. I was actually really excited about the number of responses. I got from people but I asked because I I had kind of landed on mine but I was just curious to see what other people have thought. And so I'm just gonNA share some of these that got on instagram. If you don't follow me I am at tiff south on instagram. And hopefully you can join me in the next time. I do this fun little game but here's some of the things that I heard from people I am enough. I heard from two people actually worry less and walk in faith intentional. Crazy faith revived fearless X.. Fearlessly execute expansion abundance louder keep going flourish next level get it. Don't settle fear less kind of what we talked about earlier play play reclaim glow disciplined slash consistency delete debt. Why worry worthy surrender so many really really good words and I share? Are Those with you just to help spark your own thought and if you are thinking about something that you want to focus on next year or even maybe for the first quarter or You know what what could be the thing that you want to center some of your prayers on or center the way that you approach certain aspects of your life on. Hopefully those will help jog some thoughts for you and I would love to hear what yours are. Hit me up on Instagram at two south. Thank you for those of you. Who have been sharing and screen and chatting and sharing some of your insights continue to do so? I really appreciate it. And I get feedback from other people when they see you sharing your sharing your information sharing tearing your your reflections on the podcast as well. So I appreciate that. And my word for two thousand and twenty is obedience obedience and I have already started a study on what obedience means and what it has played out as in in characters of certain people in Scripture and I'm already been blessed by it. So that is the word I am. I'm leaning for for twenty twenty and also I think crazy faith is probably like a close second. Faith was the word I picked two years ago and I mean faith is something that is like not really you. Don't you have to pick it as a word so to speak to be something you live by. Obviously but it is something that is at the forefront of my mind in terms of just what I need to do in an living in walking in the way that God has called me to walk and so I encourage you to join me in that journey of just living in obedience to Christ has called you to be and living in obedience to be what you what you know you are called to be so i WanNa thank you for rocket with me for another episode of. How does she do it? This is actually the last episode of the year. I just realized that although I am recording this on a Tuesday is not going up until Thursday and the next episode will be in January. "Dr Mr Complete is this teaching on the book of Deuteronomy Chapter Thirty One and thirty two the one that fascinates me. We talk about this several times through here. The Rock that was smitten in the Wilderness holderness. Do you remember this happened twice. The first time was an exodus. Seventeen people are without water. Moses spreads about got hasn't take his staff strike the rock and the water comes in they had living water and that's all very exciting well later on in numbers twenty. The same situation situation occurs there. The the the people need the dry. They're thirsty they need water. And God says to Moses Speak Speak to the rock by now Moses is so frustrated with these people and we're GonNa read that I think about that later in here in Moses doesn't handle it the way God instructed in fact he strikes the rock a second time he wasn't supposed to he's supposed to speak to and but many commentators potatoes point out. What part of what was going on here was Moses was missing miscommunicated to the People God was not angry with them? Moses was and because Moses was the people would infer that God was mad. And God's upset about being misrepresented that's what the second commandment is all out actual not take the name of the Lord in vain not take the authority the ambassador ship of our God upon you with vacuum vacuous business and now it's interesting. In First Corinthians pretenders four Paul gives us an insight. He says that rock speaking of the Rock. The Watering Motors was Christ..

"US up everybody we are back again after a long what seemed like a long time off three weeks three weeks since we did a grip wild men who matter podcast and we are so glad to be back took some time off to get some things done some big stuff coming down the pipe for you guys but before we dive into that I want. I want to introduce the Oh Brando. WHAT'S UP DUDE. What's up man. I'm so glad to be back back in the chair back behind the microphone. It's been a couple of weeks. We've been GONNA run around crazy yeah. We have interest if you guys remember when we left us about three weeks ago we were on our way to Colorado for a long weekend fly fish in the I mean in the mountains guys. I mean like ten thousand feet off in the Wilderness holderness. It was crazy saul some stuff that and I've traveled a lot and but I saw some stuff I'd never seen before and just how amazing God's creation isnges isn't just how Mu- how vast the mountains of Colorado the rocky mountains are man it was it was really cool and and in a while we were out there. We weren't just out there fishing when we were. We were filming a story that that we hoped show you guys in the coming time nine but it was us man dude. Let me just say this. Everybody everybody is gifted. It's something we all have around talents. We all have our own abilities. You know better at some things than others not as good at some things as others and I just got to say my man. Stevo Oh jumped in a creek in the middle of nowhere and caught a fish on his first cast because the man has got a gift for the fish I cast is fly fishing remote creek homestate creek in Colorado dare you to Google it and find it because is out there and you jump in man and I cast boom. I got one that was epic. it definitely was a cool feeling just knowing that you know honestly it was kind of a little head nod from God because going into the trip is excited excited as I was man. Just you know I was kind of going through a little funk just just just from just challenges in my life and I was needing some time to step away and just take a deep breath and you don't even though it really a silly as it sounds. Even though it was a working trip I did have a chance just to get out there and get where I feel. Most close close to God is when I'm in not only the outdoors but in extreme outdoors like the wilderness kind of outdoors and men I I just wanted to get there and get my hands in the water because you think about just how pure that water is coming out of the mountains. There's nothing to have contaminated at yet. There's nothing to have manipulated it yet. It was just pure water and I just wanted to get my hands in the water and and and ultimately just catching a fish on the very first cast. I and I'm not a five fishermen yet. Is I mean it was it was a learning experience for me and quickly falling in love with it but it was such a really cool to yes. Ask catch a fish on my very first cast and and just kind of get a little affirmation that hey I'm here. You Know God you're saying. Hey I'm here with you. I'm I'm glad you came cool moments. Just out there I mean we drove five hundred miles in three days. Just we probably fish what five or six different rivers some of the best you know quote unquote gold medal trout streams you know are available and it was just cool to see the change we we fished meadows. We fished in uh up in up in the canyons. I mean Kenyans on both sides canyon walls and we saw variety of things we we met some cool people and we we stopped for lunch one day in Walden Colorado ARADO behind Google that one seeing find it. It's up there is up there. There was this little girl out on the corner selling lemonade with your grandma uh and and I just kind of walked over said what are we doing here and she had a poster out and and it was just crazy because it's downtown in this little com main street area and wind was blowing and it was like fifty degrees was amazing and she had this sign and it said you know trying to raise money for space camp and she had his NASA acid t shirt on and here we are a bunch of boys a bunch of rednecks from Alabama up in the middle of Nowhere Colorado and here's this ten year old girl she wants to come to Alabama you you know and it was just as cool kind of like of all the places and all the people we met a little girl who wants to come to Alabama to go to space camp you know so we got to share what we were doing and account bought some lemonade from her. You know try to try to get into space camp. It was just it was it was another cool like you said a little head nod little fist-bump yeah. Just you know cool cool things happening. Oh really cool to see that and experience that and so you know our biggest encouragement to you guys you know I think we shared this last time for we cut out for a couple of weeks was yeah we went to Colorado in its quote unquote epic big trip but I wanNA encourage. You guys to would go somewhere like to just do it. it's very possible very feasible and it doesn't have to be halfway across the country but let honestly if you're smart a flight to. Colorado is really not that expensive so just get out and go just go somewhere and get away an experience that closeness and if you're listening whether you're bought into the whole God thing or not or you're you know you're really Dagan the journey that you're on with with with Christ or not. I promise you wherever you're adding your life. You'll get out into the wilderness. Whether you're an outdoorsman win or not. There's something about it. There's something about what goes on out there and find your place and get their and I think it had changed your life and so may when we left there we we quickly change years and you know we dove dove into knocking out this man smog cridland that you've heard US talk about that. Were so excited to launch. you now this week really a really anytime the cool thing about the way we're doing is you can dive in at any point and so we're. GonNa talk a little bit about that today yeah but mainly mainly what I wanted to dig into today brandon is out there kind of out in Colorado I I vividly remembered this one moment and then I kinda came back here and we we did all that stuff and and then I experienced against something similar to it that that made me think about this idea that we talk talk about they wanna mean is so after Colorado in small group curriculum in these lots awesome things happening we also kinda finished a our our biggest months that we've ever had in the feed company that kind of parallels allows group wild and I got to thinking about how I how how exciting it was and this thought that came to my head is exciting not because of the number but really because of the people that I got to do with and I made this comment that that a half five is the greatest thing that you could ever experience in your live and it sounds silly at first but but think about like a high I five is one of the greatest things you could ever experienced in your life because what entails a high five. It's it's you celebrating something with someone else and it made me think about my past of my career and it made me think about Colorado like Colorado was awesome but it was it was so much more more remarkable and I think impactful because I can vividly remember the half fives after just about what every fish that was caught. There was always a half five in this excitement in this of men together. We're experiencing this and it it goes back to singing about my career in business and you know have this shelf of all the products had developed in all products that have kind of gone the big box stores wars and and and they're there to help me remind me of the little wins. I have in my career saw stay focused but honestly that day that had this half. Hi Five means everything I looked at that wall and I was like who cares I literally said who cares out loud to all of those products developed because does when I look back at that point in my career I did. 'em All alone like I didn't have a team of guys that were chasing this vision that I'm chasing now that was that was trying to achieve something for the greater good that we're trying to achieve now back then man yeah. Had you know God who worked for me who Labour's but I didn't have any team members. Goss who were sharing the vision to me and I looked at that shelf and I was like who care I mean half those products isn't shelf have been in Walmart. They've been in major box stores and as I who cares and the reason I said that is because I I didn't have a high five during that season of my life and it wasn't that I wanted a high five of of like good job. Stephen is I didn't have anybody to share those memories stories with right. I look at those. Even you guys you guys walk into the office every day and you really don't have a perspective of what those things in my life and how hard I work to get them and what paint I had to go through and what successes I experience because you like no no none of you guys were there and it doesn't matter to to me away and so I thought about that the trip of why the Colorado trip was so important and why like this month's goals are so much more fulfilling than ever before and it had nothing to do with what we were doing it was that I was doing it with someone and and that's when that that statement hit me that man one of the greatest things in literally one of the greatest things in life can be a half five because you're doing doing it with. Someone and that's what we want to encourage you guys with. Today is where your high fives are. Do you have have high fives in your life and what you're tackling right now. Think about it. I mean we Kinda talk this out the other day just thinking about how it becomes real when you fish for a long time tournament fish and a lot of times fishing on the bow by yourself you snag nine pounder you turn around in the back of the boat load. There's nobody there yeah I mean for me jumped into my mind. No exaggeration probably the best three rounds of golf five ever played score wise whereas shot the best number I've ever shot by myself and that present some issues right because hey it kind of sucks when there's nobody there to celebrate when you make the PUTT and be nobody's GonNa believe you. You know like shout eighty four today. Okay prove it you know and this whole mentality. This idea that like men were working hard. You're getting after something chasing a dream chasing a a goal chasing something you're passionate about but when you get the win along the way who's who's next to you know sharing that with you celebrate with. I mean I I love that. You said that fish analogies the biggest fish I've ever caught in Florida hairs. Chena lakes practices for tournament intimate by myself. There was nobody in the boat with me. The the biggest fish ever caught my life like no one there to say. There was no high five that that day there was a awesome all right but her back into water he knows it so I mean think about it. Guys think about the moments in your live where you achieve something that you were chasing her. You experience something net..

"wilderness holderness" Discussed on Beyond the Wheel

"I I did did that a little bit yesterday on the way back twenty six miles. I was like getting Kinda Tucker out but it's also the way I set it up so I mostly we have been riding it on low and medium because I still want to do a little bit of the work. If I would set this thing on high it would do most of it and I would just kind of be turning any my legs. I think so I keep it on low and medium for the most part and the battery you haven't had issues with battery dying yet now not yet and and let's go ahead and I don't think I would even when I came back yesterday. After doing the twenty six miles I still had juice left in it. It was so it reads it in like four dots full too low and then I guess once at one and so I was on the last thought when I returned but I'm not one hundred percent sure how much of the battery was left. That's that's a long ride twenty six math no I don't. I don't think I would ever go further than that. I think that's I mean you're still sitting on a bike that amount of time and and why like seats can't be more comfortable but they're not they're just not. I was talking to Julie about it yesterday and she was. I'm saying that that would be hurt. Issue not with the writing part with an e bike but sitting on the seat for that on Yep now this one surprisingly using lineup so I bought a seat for my old folding bike because I didn't like the one that came with that at all. It was very uncomfortable so I bought a big memory foam type of seat and I figured I would just take that seat it off and put it on the new echo. The one that came with the ego trip is actually more comfortable than the seat that I went out and bought a typically as an upgrade on the other other bike came with it like that in order that special earning now. It's just the came with it. It's just got a little bit better padding and size wise. It's it's just a better more comfortable seat but it's still bicycle. See I mean you just look at a bicycle seat and no it's not comfortable. Here's the way their shave is just like like this can't be fixed. Ho but yeah I didn't they being old the ball you have no problems uh-huh putting it in your storage bays or anything like it fits in the fits in the back of the RV so I can fold it up. It's actually got a quick release. Men Out sound like commercial and I wish I was I might have to contact these people but it's got a quick release on the on the front wheel which I've I never had before so you just ever folded up if you still need it to be in a little bit more compact. It's just quick release and you pop the front. Wheel often gets even smaller. I has unconfirmed panel's mall space. Yeah I haven't found anything about the bike so far haven't liked. Actually there is one thing. There's no place to put a water bottle. Battle like a lot of times spikes will come with like even if it doesn't have a water bottle. It'll have like the two screws this doesn't it doesn't it doesn't even have the screw holes. It doesn't have the screw holes for it's an aluminum frame but I don't think that would be a reason of why not too so I would say. That's my one complaint about is that there's no place for me too so I I did order from Amazon that just uses like a and zip tie but like a vow crow loop system so it's just on wraparound that Bar Self Titan I guess but it would have been nice to just have a normal now that I couldn't go on any any store and just bought one that screwed into it. I wrote holes and all that but then I was like man messing. I don't WanNa trump has written it yet now. She's been on night shift since I bought it and she does not like bike riding at all so I'm hoping she she's off today and tomorrow maybe maybe tomorrow. I'll take her out on a bike. I'll take my old bike. I'll let her ride a new bike and I think she's a song. Get on it and laugh. I think she's on enjoy. It will have to come back and talk about maybe if she she does or she didn't. I want her to get one as well so that we can go riding together. She's never had any when I when I first met. She owned a bike bike. She said that she had installed for ten years because she just never liked it. When we lived in Roanoke we both bought bikes. We went out a couple of times together and she was like now. I'm done this is why I never she's like. I let you talk me into getting the bike and I wrote a couple of times with like it so I'm hoping though because of ought because this bike has an option of like full throttle she I mean it's just a ride. It does twenty miles an hour so it. She doesn't need pedal. She can just go out and enjoy the scenery. These by cats are really nice. You're you're running along river. You can see mountains and a lot that greenery. There's a bird sanctuary that you can arc and just walk your bike through if you want. It's just a great area for for bikers. I'm not go on and look online to see just how many miles of trails they actually out here because it's amazing and and the Nice thing too about these sales in the location of the decay. La Is that I'm looking out my window and I can see shrouds like the trial is maybe ten yards from our site. So it's a couldn't be more convenient. Andy's trails actually link up stores like you could take a bite drowned. It leads you to a home depot or Costco or the seven eleven or all these different stores to Josh Marcet. These had that actually yeah. I'm liking it now now. I'm Oh yeah I'm hoping. He said he's now that. I have his bike that I'm I'm having fun writing because before I would ride the bike and I would. I would enjoy bike ride. I always have I mean I've always known a bike. As long as I can remember all the way back to might you know tricycle. It's always been like a level of work. You know to get to where you're going and it's always been a little bit of balance of you. It's always been a balance of more work than fine and this is despite flips it so this is like more fun than Work Yeah No. That's that's why I am looking at him. It's Great Sean if you pick up an electric bike. I think there's such a an I actually get this term from James from the V. I was talking to him about electric bikes and he said you know there's a we factor to an electric bike. You just get on it and you're like we so right and he's big. I mean if you don't know James's from therapy. He's a yeah yeah is while he's obviously added but he's like a bike sick bicycle enthusiasts you know he's even gone overseas and done bicycle races and stuff like that so when you okay yeah so when I was talking to him about it I was like I was thinking in my head. This guy's on land for even bringing up an electric dome but he's a now. I've tried electric vice. He's like they're fun and yeah yeah and as you're traveling. It's a great way to see things outside of your car. You know yeah. It's a nice feeling to be out in the wind kind of feeling and seeing being worked with these trails you know. I got the bunny rabbits Ryden and running and jumping all around around you and the birds. There's a lot of different like weird looking birds out here that I haven't seen or it's a much more natural setting than yet and driving in your car town yeah. I hope you you get one. I think you'll I think you'll love it now. I'm hoping by our trip to Fort Wilderness. We'll have our be perfect wrote. Fort Wilderness holderness one point five miles long one point five miles wide campground. That's the perfect place for for bike an and that's part of the reason why I got this you too because he's got this big fat four inch wide tire with knobby and everything so it'll be great for going around campgrounds when they're not perfectly not all most game grounds are not perfectly paved some aren't paved at all you know a lot of Bert and on my other bike I could ride it around campgrounds if they had a decent amount of taxpayer dirt or paving but if it got kind of choppy than my other bike just you know it just wasn't made for that but this bike is made for snow sand loose for all that stuff so I'll be able to get so much more use out of Boston yeah yeah. It's been a lot of fun so he go try. Give you're listening already bought the bike at herself. US okay well. Thanks everybody for joining us and like like we said earlier. If you have any pet peeves or etiquette tips of your own please leave a comment or go on our website and send us a message bench.
