Fresh update on "wide receiver" discussed on Fantasy Football Today Podcast

"He said i think they felt like i was missing piece and it was refreshing to hear somebody say that about himself. You know he's like. I think josh allen needed me to come in and make him the quarterback that he was just see what they do to enhance it. This offseason as well as a player. But i do think he's gonna regress. Yeah well they also have talked about how they need to upgrade tight end. So that's the next step in that development okay next Fill in the blank. Rob says he wants to see curtis samuel on the packers. Curtis samuel to the packers. Let me just tell you. Davante adams had a thirty two point. Three percent target share last year in the last three seasons. It's been twenty eight point. Two percent twenty six point. Five percent and thirty two point three percent so big jump in twenty twenty That's for devante atoms and those are based on just the games he played. He missed some time in each season. Two three so anyway you know. Do you want to see another great wide rece another good wide receiver. Go to the packers because it has just been a one man show for the last three years without him. I think that's why curtis samuel would fit. Well there well but he. He's he's never earned a twenty percent target share really good games of the year. I don't know if he he was so much better than robby anderson last they games of the year and i know it was just eight games. I know but he came on strong. The one thing i would say is given the flexibility of curtis samuel skill set and the different ways that you can use him you know. He's not just a traditional wide receiver can make place down the field but you can also make plays out of the backfield. We expect green battles at least one of jamaal williams anna aaron jones if not both and you know. Those guys had ninety eight targets last season so it is possible that they could acquire someone carta samuel and use him in a way. That doesn't necessarily take away from devante at adams. You probably take the under on a thirty percent target share next year either way Just because it's really hard to sustain a thirty two percent target share but You know someone like to samuel who you can get him the ball a lot of different ways without having to to force targets towards him. I think that could be sort of an ideal edition for the packers in terms of making the offense better without necessarily taking away from devante. Okay he is so. I i cut you off that one. Yeah it was a funny funny comment that you made. But i wanted to throw the love of courtesy of because he really did play well but is green bay good landing spot for a wide receiver. You're excited about they. Run the ball so much you wonder if if a number two wide receiver is going to be really good there and you wonder if it's going to take just just enough away from devante adams to make him a little less exciting little less. I yeah. I don't worry so much about the second part and less like if it's curtis samuel or someone of like. I'm not wasn't trying to insult him. I was just saying that. He's never demanded a large target share. So i don't think he would have much of an impact on davante adams at all. I don't think it's a particularly good spot for a wide receiver. It's a good spot for a guy to go and possibly have an outlier season where he's highly efficient without very many targets and produces in a way that we say well. He's not going to be able to do that again. But i don't think it's a good way for a guy who we want to be excited about draft in the first seven rounds of draft..

Washington Football Team Wide Receiver Terry McLaurin On The Jim Rome Show

"We're joined right now by a receiver for the Washington football team. He has put up huge numbers already 87 receptions over 1100 yards receiving. He had four touchdowns last season in the post season, six more receptions 75 yards. He was a member of the All rookie team in 2019. He was Theseventies sixth pick overall in 2019 out of Ohio State. Washington was the NFC Eastern Division champs last season. Terry McLaurin is my guest, Harry. It's great to have you on. How are you? Hey, are you doing to meet you and then have me on your show, Terry. It's great to meet you. It's great to have you on the show. Thanks for doing this. Let's not would say to you and ask you what you've gotten up to so far in the off season, but I know one of the things Is you get on the golf course because I see it on Twitter. How are you hitting him right now? And when did you start playing golf for the first time? Uh, well, I've actually kind of just kind of start getting into golf. I've been a kind of a golf fan. You know, I've watched certain tournament over the course of my life and, um, you know, I found that golf is is another way of kind of unwind from playing football and relaxing and but also staying active, and some of that challenges you physically and mentally and I'm always looking for some way I could get better challenge myself. So, um What better way to find that out, then goal. You know as people that she is, my golf swing is not the best right now. But it's all about improvements. So I think I made a big jump in just a week, and I'm excited to see Where my game takes me next. Terry McLaurin joining us That's exactly the kind response I would expect from you knowing your process than where you go about your business. Now, if you and I were to go back to 2019 is a rookie. You had more than 900 receiving yards. Then you come right back in 2020, and you have more than 1100 receiving yards and you go to the post season when you and I know you're looking forward, But when you look back on 2020 and the season what sticks out to you the most I think just the challenges of the season. Um Just first and foremost, from the pandemic standpoint of, you know, being able to play a full season and then you know the ups and downs that we had, Um, you know, as a as a as a football team, you know, we start off slow, but we started getting our stride and We started getting a moment. Um and then you know, he started to notice that people are starting to respect the Washington football team or and, um you know, we go out there each and every day. The O worked hard for each other and try to win football games at the end of the day and You know, we're not just satisfied into the playoffs are next step is getting there and and winning. But, um, you know, we did something that should that would. This franchise has done in a little while and I feel like it gave us a little bit more men. I'm so the The number one thing that I kind of look back on this season is just ups and downs, but the growth that we made a team and myself individually in my second year, Terry McLaurin joining us, You know you mentioned the postseason. You suffer that high ankle sprain late the year and you went hard like you fought hard to get back on the field. How determined were you to get back in time for the postseason? And how critical was it to you to rejoin the fight with your teammates? Yeah, that was everything to me. Um, you know, not many people know I was dealing with two high ankle sprain at the time when my left and my right, But, um, you know, I didn't really use that as an excuse. I have plenty examples around my building's not use. Certain things or, you know, elements of the things you were going through as an excuse. And just try to put your best foot forward for the team with Coach Rivera battling cancer. I was coming back from his triumphant story s. Oh, there's plenty example so I could look to the Get added motivation and just seeing my teammates face when I'm on that football field, and, um, you know, being a captain, that young leader of the confidence that gives them when I'm on the football field. I wanted to continue that and not being out there with him when I was when I wasn't it hurt. You know what I mean? But at the end of day, um, injuries are part of the game. You just try toe, manage them and try to prevent them as much as you can. But You know, the whole time? I was in good hands with our training staff. And my only thought was just to get back and produce even if it was just to take a little pressure off our other skill players that get you know them Some cleaner looks. I was willing to do

Vincent Jackson, Former NFL Wide Receiver, Found Dead in Hotel Room

"All know Vincent Jackson former Tampa Bay Buccaneer was found dead in his apartment earlier was it it was last week. I was it last week. Yeah. Yes, it was last week and you know his family members want answers and they've actually donated his brain for a CT now they are doing this because there were things off. His I don't know mannerisms his behavior that kind of led up to this very very tragic ending for him that have people kind of scratching their heads going. This isn't normal. This isn't right. So there's got to be something here. When it comes to CTE. Yeah. So if you don't know who it's in Jackson is he was a wide receiver for the Chargers and the Buccaneers and he was thirty-eight years old took out in his way too young what really sucks about like there were just starting to get details about how he was found and everything. So apparently housekeeping came into the room. He was in a hotel in Florida and they he was slouched over on the couch. So they thought he was sleeping so they left the room and then they you know, they called in a welfare to his family called off their check cuz they hadn't heard from him for like a month. Well, I thought it was only two or three days ago. There was like a stretch where they had he was just kind of doing his own thing and they were concerned because so initially the story was at home. It was a an extended period of time and then the two were two to three days thing that you're talking about is they had talked to him and they hadn't heard from him and they were like, yeah everything seems okay clearly. It wasn't so this ESPN app states that at first they entered the room they assumed he was sleeping so they left the room and then they entered the room again later on and he hadn't moved from his spot. And so that's when they called 911 right? There are no signs of trauma injury. I mean this guy had family and kids. Oh, yeah, and that's why people know why is he staying in an extended States? Very bizarre and that's just kind of the things with CTE is that it just completely disrupts your brain patterns and just any sort of your brains deformed at that point, you know, you're you're doing things you're maybe saying things you're acting certain ways where people are like, whoa, what is going on with you, you know, and it's tremendously sad and at what point what's the solution? I mean, you know the NFL Constantly working on ways to make the game safer and taking care of their players, whether it's you know through the helmets or even like the pads or whatever go down the list of things of the technology of what their actual shooting up in to help combat that but clearly it's not working.

Mahomes to have surgery to fix turf toe

"Were talking about Patrick Mahomes undergoing surgery turf toe. And we started talking about this about three hours ago, and we were just going around the room going. Do we know exactly what a turf toe is? Because it gets it gets thrown around a lot and remember when dealing Sanders was with us at the Super Bowl when he took off his sock, and he showed us that toe That was turf toe that never healed whether he had surgery on it or nod Jack Lambert, the Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker, I think had turf toe and it stayed with him the rest of his career, so we thought You know what? Let's bring in somebody who knows what they're talking about. A former NFL offensive lineman won a Super Bowl with Washington a Harvard trained orthopedic doctor, mark addicts and good to have you back on here, Doc. So Do you want us to tell you what we think Turf toe is and then you could probably correct us on this. That'd be great. Let's see what you guys got. Let's see how good you are. All right. I'll start with you, Paulie. What do you think your toe is like a ligament sprain in the toe that hampers an athlete from pushing off like sprinting like running for two. You got a definition for church to one's toe was so severely sprained from the pounding on the torture that it does something. What kind of disconnects Tito from the other toes and needs to be surgically fix a snap back into place. All right, Seaton It is an injury that when, uh, say like wide receivers are going to get their second foot in and they drag it along the left their toes on the turf, and then it gets hurt like that. No, I did not. I did not even look at it that way. Yes, my club, So I thought it was a rug burn style injury from any time she goes on the worse when you're playing with your kids of rug burn, but I do believe it's out. Now ligament underneath your toe that connects to the foot. Okay, let's let's bring in. Doc and Doc. What exactly is Turf toe. Well, I think I think example one wins the ligament injury so it could be a ligament injury. Or it could be an injury to the planter plate, which is almost like a Cartlidge thing That's on the bottom of it, So it is the big toe joint. And it rarely. Is it an injury? There were quite a surgery. The bass majority of players don't require surgery in the NFL there have been about there was a study that was done that had about 30 guys with serfdom. Injuries that were pretty severe, and only about 10% ended up requiring some surgery. Deon Sanders did require surgery. Deon Sanders Strip toe injury did end his career. Essentially, he stuck around for a couple more years, but never really was the same. Antonio Gates had it had a pretty bad turf toe had surgery in 2000 and eight and played Many years was very productive after that injury in surgery, So generally speaking guys, too, Okay. I think John was as his foot with a test was an extreme case. Didn't Mahomes play the Super Bowl with a Tauron ligament? Certainly did. I mean, I In other words, when you have a tip toe injury there, three grades break one. Great, too Great three. It's the same for almost anything. Great one, just a few of the fibers or tourney. Great to a bunch more. Tauron. Great three. It's completely disrupted. So for someone to need surgery generally, there's got to be a little bone chip. It's in the joint or the toe has to be somewhat unstable, which would tell you that that ligament tear had to be pretty significant.

A Casino Chain Bets It Can Hang with the Big Dogs of Fantasy Sports

"The super bowl is this weekend. And the vince lombardi. Trophy is on the line but also on the line. If you're a fantasy sports player your money if you're not familiar. Here's how fantasy sports work you pay apu pick a roster of real players and then wait to see how they do during real games. If your fantasy wide receivers scores a touchdown and a real football game your score goes up. If your fantasy quarterback throws an interception and a real game your suffers and if you find yourself with a roster of players that just aren't performing well you're out of luck you're stuck with him for the season you can kiss that prize money for the highest fantasy score. Good bye well. At least that's how it was before you'll came on the scene over a decade ago both and you'll and its rival draftkings allow users to play daily fantasy sports instead of waiting for the season to end to see how your fantasy team does. You can switch out players everyday feeling good about tom. Brady doesn't you can pick him one day and drop in the next. That flexibility is what makes fan duel and draft kings. The big dogs of daily fantasy sports both companies are valued at over a billion dollars but a recent acquisition is throwing another competitor into the ring and this company knows a bit about hedging. Your bets the casino chain bally's announced last week that it acquired monkey knife fight. Yes that's actually the name of that company but don't laugh it off. Monkey knife fight is the fastest growing daily fantasy platform in the united states and with that acquisition bally's hopes to be able to square off against its larger more established competitors their first challenge standout in a statement about the acquisition. Bali says monkey knife fight is already doing that. He claims that rival platforms are clogged with professional daily fantasy sports players. Which makes it tougher us regular folks to win yes. There are professional daily fantasy. Sports players bally's though says monkey knife fight attracts sports fans and makes quote having fun and winning part of the experience. Another benefit of the acquisition says. Bally's is more customers. Bally's is a big name in betting and betting which all comes down to chance is very different than playing fantasy sports which comes down to skill. at least that's the argument. Fantasy sports companies have made to lawmakers right now only around two dozen states allow sports betting and for bally's that's just not enough customers but guess who already has a wide database of customers in thirty seven states where daily fantasy sports are legal. Yup monkey knife fight. The acquisition means more users in more states for bally's but fan duel draft. Kings shouldn't necessarily be sweating yet. Both companies surged in the third quarter of two thousand twenty draft kings monthly paying users topped one million and fan duel attracted nearly half a million new users that quarter. So it's fair to say that neither companies going anywhere fast because even though sports are a national pastime it looks like fantasy. Sports may soon be edging in on that

"wide receiver" Discussed on Mornings with Keyshawn, Jorge & LZ

"It's ironic. he's mr discount double checked because if he asked the forty niners if they needed any insurance they certainly would have said yes because nobody is more banged up than they are at this particular point. The san francisco forty niners last night on thursday night football and seventeen. Defeat to the packers key. Good morning. good morning jay. They played without jimmy. What's up george kittle. Good morning raheem mostert. Deebo samuel eight going brandon. I you keep going trent williams. Tell me more. Nick loeser say it again. D ford we wanna back and the pac twelve. Richard sherman has keys pac. Twelve is ready to go tomorrow. They played without all of them. But the problem is the packers played with aaron rodgers. davante adams and a banged up aaron jones. Thirty four seventeen. I know key it's a. Jv squad taken on the varsity last night. With regard to talent. Aaron rodgers said it after the game. He said. I don't feel sorry for them. They don't feel sorry for us. Absolutely no big deal. They did what they had to do against. Whoever was face -olutely because if it was on the flip side and the packers all beat up bruised. Nobody would feel sorry for the packers right. I mean aaron rodgers and green bay obviously took care business. I mean you know. I didn't expect anything different. You know i didn't expect cow. China has done a tremendous job despite not having players in the lineup. Most of the season when he started the season he envisioned missing. Certain guys in in you know you you look at it. This is just one of those years. It's one of those years for them where they losing player after player. Each game after each game because china has been able to muster up four victories. And that's that in itself is a good thing. They lose jimmy garoppolo whose put on i r kelly was put on. I are now you got nick. Mullen back there playing quarterback who get his feet wet for the next several weeks and see what he is But what did you expect. I i don't know sadie keyes Kids so predictable so last night. It's nine twenty five. I'm supposed to be. I'm in my bed with my wife. Watching the game and the techs comes. I ex exactly right. I just hear keys voice saying exactly in my mind i look at my wife. I said here we go here comes as i said. No rogers doesn't need no damn wide receivers. Just i knew it. I knew it knew. Go there and key. Let's get into it because everybody's going to look good against the forty niners and having davante adams back a world of a difference. I actually kind of agree with him they. He's probably pointing like the best wide receiver in the game. Right now having him back. Nobody questions whether aaron rodgers can make people look great obviously davante out of himself look great but still like it's it's still against the forty niners right and i know you're going to say that doesn't really matter but still it's easy to look good against the forty niners to a degree considering their depleted correct. So they took care of business. Anything away from what the packers are doing. But can't you walk away from that game with a little bit of a fallacy saying hey just because we beat up on an honors doesn't mean that we're that good yet we haven't seen him against that great of competition yet. We saw them against the bucks. Seldom against the saints. Okay small sample size but still wearing a chance to see them against the colts and that real defense. Who do they just lose to. Was the minnesota vikings. How was it minnesota on sunday yesterday. Run the ball down their throat. That supposed to jane mentioned yesterday. Wasn't that supposed be the recipe for success against green bay. Who san francisco on their team. That's like dalvin cook. I'm just telling everybody that was out there saying that they were going to run the ball down there throw because their linebackers are very good in their defensive. Line doesn't allow the doesn't stop. The offense alignment from getting up on the second wave of defenders. Look they took care business. They deal with. They were supposed degree when a guy goes twenty five thirty one and throws four touchdowns. It had an opportunity to throw for five. That means that things are cooking. It's flawless it's smooth no matter who you're putting out there. Forty niners have won four games this year and the games they've won they beat up a couple of good teams. Nobody says anything. it's like. Oh yeah see what. They did the moment that they get shellacked by green bay now. Green has to prove again that they're better than the tampa bay bucks or they're better than the new orleans saints the better than seattle. They continue to just keep moving things forward if they would have lost his game. Then now you worry about what it looks like against chicago now all of a sudden. Chicago's right there with you. Lock and step basically as you would say zuber right. I mean you gotta give credit where it's due. Aaron rodgers did not need any other wire receiver except his healthy. When devante atoms lazaro becoming back at some point in time and the reason i keep saying over and over because that's all we keep hearing we keep here. Trade deadline many hill. It's like just chilled is dude. Got it under control. Losing minnesota had nothing to do with him not having a wide receiver. Just come down. Well you mentioned davante adams. The numbers are great for rodgers as you said three. Oh five four touchdowns fine. Aaron jones numbers were good too. He contributed off. The caffeine injury. Also caught five balls out of the backfield but the numbers for davante adams were off the page ten catches one hundred seventy three yards and a touchdown after the game. Davante adams was asked if he's the best wide receiver in football. Yeah i think. That's fair to say i think that's not a. That's not being conceited. Us just being. I think You know obviously what what. I've done What i'm going to continue to do is gonna prove that Anybody who who is on board with that. But i i truly believe that Just based off the work that i put in at the end of the day I'll tell you yes absolutely has the best receiver in the game but There's a lot of things that go into me being able to to make that statement. That's the difference between the spoken word. The written word. If i saw that in the game story this morning on my phone. That'd be like man. This dude keyshawn johnson. He's a modern day keyshawn johnson. But when you hear it key the way he said it. We brash backing it up. Confidence brass irks the point if you say here it. It doesn't sound that way. If you read that stephen you'd be like hang on a second. So that's the problem right but we heard it and he comes across a little differently that said is he the best wide receiver in the nfl. Who's your top five. Who's on that list. You know you you could certainly put him up there as a top that he top dude depending on who you ask. Everything is semantics when it comes to receivers man it really truly is in. There's nothing wrong with him. Saying i said that. Every i wouldn't give a damn who was on the field except jerry rice when it came to other receivers you talk about the receivers. I'm like okay. Well put me in a situation and watch what you get. I'm doing what i'm doing in the situation. I'm in and i'm still thriving regardless i'm the lone ranger out here in. Everybody knows it. And i'm still balling much like tam. To answer your question about the top five guys you cannot. Can i hear keys. Gimme a damn ball. Top-five wide receivers said. This guy is talking to me about semantics right now. If you allow me to get their jason could explain to you why go in the direction of going hours number one. We only have a few minutes segment. Just seconds Number one obviously is my nephew period. They've that'll never change. I wouldn't give a damn. Nobody is nepotism. And this alive and kickin michael thomas once once he's on the feel as i would call him now. Slant mike the dude that he got into the altercation with allegedly caught him. Slant mike so if you pay me twenty million dollars a year and you throw me a hundred and seventy balls. And i'm catching a hundred and forty nine of them. I'll be slapped. Mike too so you got him number one. Okay.

"So we. Brought up how Jalen, Waddell has some serious value as a kick returner he's been a primary kick returner with Alabama and he has produced some pretty big special teams plays as that type of a kick returner. So that's one of the things that comes into play with his value Chris, and the other thing too. The way that you have to talk about his usage I don't think that Jalen Waddell is going to be. A fifteen to ten reception guy. Again, I just don't think that he has that in them and just based on his usage at Alabama. I think that this is a guy that is going to have five receptions and can go for hundred yards be with those five receptions because he has a forty yard reception or a sixty yard reception or a handful of. Twenty Yard Receptions just off of those five touches, you could probably get one hundred yard day out of him with only three receptions because of that big play threat that he provides I think that main value get with drafting him is similar to that of why the raiders drafted Henry Rugs you're getting a supreme athlete that is going to come in you can use him as a gadget. Player and you'RE GONNA burn the hell out of defenses almost a little bit like time kill in how he may not get twelve receptions a game more. So early on in his career, but he can burn defense. So easily if he has the space to do so yeah, I think tyreek hill might be really good comparison for wattle because both players just look like they're. Playing either a different game or playing the game at a different speed than the defense. I saw plays where Waddell had the bone his hand and there was a defender with a good angle and Waddell just broke the angle in the defender could not catch him it almost like there was a force field around him or something the defender just could not closed that last gap. Said before players like that have value. They're not the kind of guy you want to build your offense around. It's going to be too high variance for that. But if you can get him in the right scheme, a scheme that's likes to use the slot position as a big play threat or set him up with a good screen game or uses passing concepts that. Generate run after catch opportunities. then. He is going to be a regular producer of big plays even if he isn't a high volume player sort of wrap us up on today's episode as we've always done so far we are going to highlight a game that we are going to be watching out for this weekend, a game that you should be watching, and also some prospects that you should be paying attention to that being pin state versus Ohio. State to. Ranked Teams Penn State, falling to Indiana this previous weeks still a very talented team Ohio state is obviously the favor in this one and Chris. If we're just naming some prospects that our listeners should be paying attention to folks, you should be watching out for Justin fields. You never know what can happen with the Daniel Jones situation besides that though Chris O. Lavi, their wide receiver Star Wide Receiver, one of their best corners Sean Wade. Josh Meyers their starting center. Barron Browning their linebacker than for Penn State Pat. FRYER move starting tight in Jason away their edge and also shocking Tony. As well, yeah, and I think just even more than the game which these are two good teams. It'll be interesting to see how penn state comes out because they had just. A Gut Punch of a loss last last week did Indiana A. Overtime Penn state scores a touchdown Indiana scores a matching touchdown and then goes for the two point conversion and wins on that and that's a team they were. They were expecting to get blown out by PENN STATE NOBODY EXPECTED Indiana to be Penn State, and yet they did it will be interesting to see how the nittany lions. Just respond to that. Because in this game, they're the underdog will they come out and fight against Penn state or SAR come out and fight against Ohio state or will there be a hangover from that lost so that's a big matchup. Folks make sure you pay attention to that one specially for all the huge prospects that are going to be playing in at seven thirty. ABC again is the kickoff for that game being the Primetime game on Saturday night folks. Thank you for tuning in as always be sure to hit that subscribe button wherever.

"wide receiver" Discussed on Behind the Steel Curtain

"Alright. Pittsburgh. steelers, fans. For the second part of our live Mike discussion of Chase Klay Pool. Man What a start to the season it has been for the kid I know. The steelers and Kevin Colbert kind of caught the ire of some steelers fans when they drafted a wide receiver with the forty ninth. Pick when J. K. Donman's was still on the board and a wide receiver that some people thought might be there in the late second round or third round potentially the steelers could have got him somewhere later in the drought that that was the mindset of some the steelers fans but boy, did they do a great job yet again? Drafting wide receivers you can't doubt Kevin Colbert anytime. He drafts a wide receiver in the third or under higher. I'm going to say that for the rest of the time as long as Kevin. Colbert's the GM and his team there's been some misses in later rounds, but really all laid around drafting there's more misses than there are hits just just look back in history those those misses at wide receiver. We're kind of more telegraphing expected and it happened when there's a ton of wide receiver depth on this team when you look at the last four years Chase Klay Pool. Was the highest wide receiver drafted higher than Juju Smith, Schuster higher than James Skin higher than Deontay Johnson going back even further you're strapped higher than Emmanuel Sanders. Then Tony Brown. Higher than Mike Wallis, the receivers that I can really think of here that were drafted the higher. then. Chase Klay Pool in this Ben Rothlisberger tenure I wanNA say Sinn Tonio homes I can't really think of any other receiver that was higher than chase capable and that should say a lot to you and a lot to the credit of Kevin Colbert who's done a great job of drafting these wide receivers like no one else in the NFL, seems to be able to do this dealers have another big time target for Ben R- author and Holy. Desserts. Even core look outstanding. Being said, it really feels like the there's not enough of the ball to feed all the mouse on this offense. It really seems like each and every week that one of these guys kind of fade into oblivion when it comes to the targets week one of course was a huge. Game Deontay Johnson got his touches and James Washington God has looks to chase. Klay. Collecting might have only been targeted twice in his first game Eric Brown also was that kind of disappeared not one. You continue along the season Deontay. Johnson. Has Been Injured a couple times and those games he kind of disappeared himself. Of course, due to injury this last week's Game Juju. Smith Schuster didn't really get too many targets at all thrown his way not to huge numbers for him. But when you look at the trajectory and you look at these games, chase continues to get the ball more and more and More and more, and it's something my co-host for know your enemy Jeffrey Benedict and I have talked about in the past when it comes these rookie wide receivers and comes to gain chemistry with Ben Rothlisberger, it really comes down to catching the ball and then when he throws it your way catching it again and catching it again and so on and so forth throughout an entire season to gain that chemistry. Chase Klay pools already at that point when you look back at some of these great rookie receiving years the first one that pops up with Mike Wass, which seems to be the best rookie wide receiver single year of Ben. Rothlisberger kind of tenure. He didn't quite break thousand yards on say. Because, no wide receiver rookie wide receivers actually broken thousand urge with Ben. Rothlisberger at quarterback. But Michael also kind of the most prolific and he really didn't kind of get rolling until the latter half of the season. Ben Roethlisberger doesn't usually trust these rookies and he is with Chase Klay. I, mean when it's coming these high pressure situations, the entire offense as a whole turning his way to be Mr Clutch on these short yardage plays they're not. They're not turning around and heading off to James Connor they're not throwing the ball and slants did you they're not giving it to Deontay? James Washington Hebron, Vance none of those guys that not even Derek. Will hot the fullback in short yardage situations. The ball is going to chase Klay poll. Let that sit with you for a second because we're only four games into the season and Chase Klay has been getting the ball to a level that no one else has went under this banner authors per quarterbacking tenure he's on pace. For a thousand. Yard. season. and He is on pace for twenty touchdowns. I know that is probably not going to happen. That would be an absolutely outstanding year and I would virtually guarantee you. He was picking up that offense rookie of the year award and he'd being consideration for offensive player of the year across the entire NFL I don't think that's going to happen but. Those are some insane numbers for a rookie receiver with Ben Rothlisberger as a quarterback and he's only done it in first four weeks of his career. This guy is going to get more and more targets as year goes on. He already seemingly on paper looks to be this team's number one wide receiver I want that to sink in with you for a minute to. He given the steelers so much wiggle room when it comes to this extremely tight for agency that's coming up of course you. Smith, Schuster is a free agent I know he wants to stay in Pittsburgh. He said on a number of occasions I. Think he's one of those guys that can looks at Lake on bell and Antonio Brown and realizes the grass is always greener..

"wide receiver" Discussed on Behind the Steel Curtain

"The steelers sent him on an end around to pick up the first down and he does just that clutching out the victory he possibly could eating scored on that play, but he smartly slid to put the game on Isis dealers took a couple of knees game over steelers move to one to know. When you continue to look on what he did the rest of the season. In a couple of AFC south matchups, of course, against the Houston Texans. And Really what he's been able to do in this early season that eighty four yard reception putting the game like I mentioned against Texans on ice again with another clutch play at the end of the game on an RPO, winning his battle and getting down to like the two three r line chase. Klay. Pool has been a clutch clutch weapon and speaking of Clutch. He comes up huge third down. He's instantly kind of been that Guy Ben Rothlisberger turning to on those third down situations. When the steelers need a couple yards to pick up at the end of the end of those those drives. These a chase klay pools way. Of course I mentioned he's a huge bodied wide receiver with a gigantic catch radius bensman throwing the ball. You can really place the ball anywhere on Chase Klay Pool unlike our own Jeffrey Benedicta said, he really is kind of an uncomfortable wide receiver because of a sheer size jumping ability and his speed Ben Rothlisberger just needs to place a ball perfectly, which I know is easier said than done. But when you have hall in Quarterback, it's considerably easier to do than if was on another team but getting the ball chase clay pulls way he's been catching passes that have been thrown in his direction that only he can catch and he's come up. Clutch. I couldn't tell you the amount of third downs already this season that he. Converted. Into first downs I believe on pro football reference I. Think they have them listed at ten first downs. In through the receiving game this year, of course, he's picked up more than that in the Russian game and then he's out of five touchdowns on top of that. Against the Eagles alone say he picked up three four, maybe five third down conversions when Ben Rothlisberger look this way he runs a perfect slant. He obviously can take the top off the defense with this four four speed. He blocks guys out of the gym. Now something. He loved doing when he's playing at the University of Notre Dame. Chase Klay Bull has been absolutely electric. Obviously, with his talented first couple first couple games, he's been getting drawn some other comparisons across the NFL some people comparing him to Mike Evans, others to Larry Fitzgerald some that Calvin Johnson the list goes on and on of those big bodied receivers that's been dominating the game for years. Chase Klay Pool again, I know he's only played a couple of games, but you don't have four touchdown games and then disappear in the NFL unless you're that one running back for the new. England. Patriots that. I can't even remember his name but that one guy. Like Jonas Grade, a four touchdown game then absolutely disappeared I don't think that's happening the chase because Jonas gray was under free agent that had a fluke of a game and then missed a team flight and was cut i. don't think chase getting cut. He's a he's a gigantic big time target that is already projecting to be the number one wide receiver in Pittsburgh When we move over commercial break I will look at him compared to the rest of their receivers in this offense and how he's already been able to insert himself as number one target, but for right now continuing to look at. What he's done to this league and what he's kind of projecting the do. Throughout, the rest of the year when you look at these offense of rookie of the year candidates, you got Joe Borough who's just absolutely been beat up. I, I know he's been the best rookie quarterback but man, oh, man I can't see someone getting the ward with the with the losing record and it would be a miracle if Joe Borough Finish this year playing all sixteen games at Cincinnati bengals offensive line that offense in general Aj. Green even to be giving up on place. But Joe Boroughs been getting beat up. He's been taking some the most vicious hits. I've ever seen a quarterback take and he's only played what five games. A guy is going to get the entire season. I can't see his numbers continuing that kind of inclined I know he's played a great first four or five games. But the poor guys is king. So beat up he's got to play the steelers two more times. He's got to play the browns. He's gotTa play the Ravens. Again. I hate to say it but I don't think jober was walking away with that award Clyde Edwards Hilaire from the Kansas. City chiefs early favorite. Of course to win the war, he's up a couple touchdowns and has done some damage Ed. Kansas city chiefs running back spot cheese of course, lost their first game against the Oakland Raiders. He's looked good. However. When it comes those running backs I, believe our own co editor, Dave Scofield, broke it down that it was somewhere in the range of only ten running backs starting running backs at as throughout the entire NFL in the year two, thousand nineteen made it all sixteen games only a third of starting running backs are typically healthy enough to make it through the entire year just based on kind of what happens throughout the entire season. And the amount of touches they get the amount that is asked on them in the blocking game. It's just a little too much for those guys and. I hate to project an injury on anyone, but to say running back is GonNa, make it a full sixteen games. It is less likely than it is likely that actually happens. When you continue to look around the rest of the NFL when it comes to these. Players there. Really isn't too many names that are absolutely jumping off the page at me CD lamb of course is I believe had five receptions and every single game, but he hasn't really done anything to spectacular with them when it comes to chase klay pool every time the balls in his hands, it seems like he's doing something spectacular with the football be four touchdown games an eighty four yard reception toe drags swag on the sidelines NFL networks. Nate burleson likes to say Chase Klay made a highlight play every single time the steelers have played. Which is obsolete freaking outstanding and he does it and more than just the offensive receiving side. He doesn't run game and he doesn't on special teams like we talked about earlier. Other receivers have been injured they miss time. Of course, just just in Jefferson and that one big time game. That's just one game UNDRAFTED running back in Jacksonville I. He's been all right I even blanking on the name right now that goes to show kind of the level that they're at the Jaguars are going to be another one of those teams that are really going to be in that kind of competition dropped one Trevor Lawrence in your twenty twenty one. So I really don't think the NFL likes giving those voters when you when you see what they typically like to do the kind of stay away from the the big time loser teams and. That could be something that works in Chase collectibles favor especially as the season continues to move along I'm not saying he's GonNa have four touchdown games each and every week but the kids gonNA put up some big time touchtone numbers already he's five in four games. The kid is well on pace to break ten touchdown plateau. If he does that he is going to be on more than one Palette and when you when you look at these NFL awards, there's a really good chance at TJ walk gets again. For Defensive Player of the year. No, no slack on T. J. Watt but Aaron Donald is been coming on. You know the voters loved them some Aaron Donald Miles Garrett's been having a great year to force. Bucknor's been having a great year. The corner from Baltimore Marlin Humphries also been having a great year. That's GONNA. Be a very hard award to win TJ. What is yet to have that kind of outstanding defensive player of the year type game I'm sure it'll come at some point, but he's GonNa need one of those three soccer games potentially touchdown he's got to be great. And put up those stats throughout the entire year. We saw last year he put up the stat line. It still wasn't enough to even get third place in defensive player of the year. Voting and I think the award voters really do like..

"I was surprised that Robbie Anderson went to the Carolina Panthers. Let's talk about that and also what happens to the jets now with him gone and signing Perriman? Well I hate the fit for rb Anderson. I'll be completely honest. I'm sure Robbie Anderson is happy with it. He gets his money. He gets to be reunited with his college coach. Matt rule coached him at Temple. Cherry and white there in Philadelphia but a Robbie Anderson somebody who was a top wide receiver in air yards per target averaged at the target. A terrible fit with teddy bridgewater. My opinion I I don't tear Teddy. Bridgewater is one of the least aggressive quarterbacks in all football of he actually averaged the fewest yards per pass attempt among any quarterback in the NFL last year so not a great fit for Robbie Anderson but it does help teddy bridgewater who I think's a really interesting. Qb To in best ball because he is surrounded with good weapons in Carolina. Dj Bore Curtis Samuel Robbie Anderson Ian Thomas Christian McCaffrey. It's a pretty good supporting cast. So I think it helps teddy but Robbie Anderson's a wide receiver five for me. I really do not like this fit at all. I wonder if this means Curtis Samuel is going to be skinned closer. To the line of scrimmage that would be great news for him because as we talked about on the podcast he had the most unconverted areas in the NFL last year. Because Kyle Allen could not hit him down the field it. Curtis Samuel is able to be used. Closer to the line of scrimmage Then that that's a little bit more interesting for somebody who was more of a pure deep threat last year. A Robbie Anderson Skill set is pure deep threat and I don't think pure deep threat fits well with Teddy Bridgewater especially when he's competing for targets with all these other options so robby enersen not a great fit for him fantasy though for the New York. Jets who actually ended up saving a little bit of money signing Rashad Perriman as it stands right now. Bershad Paran is the New York jets number one wide receiver and I would draft him as a wide receiver. Three right now because they have nothing else now. They're they're a team. That's prime to draft multiple wide receivers including one of the judy rugs CD lamb guys at the top end of the first round. They're going to come out of this draft. I think with at least two wide receivers because in addition to per shot airmen. They have Jamison crowder. Josh Dotson Quincy and none Wa. Braxton Berrios is not a good list of names for the New York jets. They're going to draft. Somebody Berate now Rashad Perriman. He kind of replicates Robbie Anderson Skill set with Sam Darnold. Sam Darnold has a little bit of Jameis Winston in them kind of that Yolo. Hey I'm going to throw the ball down the field author bunch interceptions but also make some big plays. I really liked paramount skill. Set in that offense I kinda liked him as a wide receiver. Three at this point. I like way more than I like Robbie Anderson Profanity very interesting. Okay I guess the other guys I wanted to ask you about Devin. Funchess in Green Bay is data. Thing is is is he a fantasy thing probably not only because I view his skill set is kind of similar to that of Allen Lazard who actually came on late last season. I think he can make maybe a red zone impact. I I wouldn't be shocked at. There's some weeks or like at funchess for DFS thrown in there for minimum price. He's going to be like a fourteenth round type of guy for fantasy That's where I would draft him. At least I would still take Allen lazard ahead of them but what this does is Marcus Valdas gambling. I mean forget about it and he. He was given his opportunity last year. He fell flat on his face. So I still like Lazar better than funches nor do I think this precludes the packers from drafting wide receiver either. So definitely not something that as we stand right now before the draft. I'm terribly interested in with Devin funchess. But he might get four or five touchdowns. So here's my other question Joe. We don't really talk finances here that much. I was surprised that Robbie Anderson and Paramount didn't get more or that some of these wide receiver needy teams. Didn't sign those guys for a little bit more but a guy like the Marcus Robinson. Getting two and a half million from the chiefs. She's their fourth guy behind Watkins Hill and Hartman. I was a little surprised. Nobody's signed him to compete to be there two or three Abihu. I agree with you. I'm surprised that team like the Colt. So the Eagles didn't take a shot on them and we know that those teams are really hurting at wide receiver and signing demarcus Robinson is not going to fix that okay but what he does do is give you another body out there Right now the eagles topped three wide. Receivers are Alshon Jeffery. Sean Jackson and Greg Ward Jeffrey Jackson. Didn't make it through the your healthy jeffries. Coming off a list Frank Surgery and Greg Ward was a former college quarterback who was promoted off the practice squad and became eagles best receiver at appearance sesame last year. So I'm a little surprised. Eagles did not add a body at that position. I'm surprised the colts have not done so because I don't think they're supporting cast is very good outside of T. Y. Hilton so yeah. I mean if the Eagles would have signed somebody like demarcus Robinson for four five million dollars I look. I wouldn't be telling you to draft him in the sixth round but I would be saying all right at least have a body here were they. Don't have to go out and be so aggressive in the draft and you know it's just I thought Robbie Anderson for instance. I thought he was somebody paramount as well. Who were hitting the market at fortuitous time for them because the only really top wide receiver on the market was Amari Cooper so I was like param in flashed at the end of last year. Robbie Anderson's a younger guy because this free agent market was so weak at the wide receiver position. I thought these guys baby might make a couple extra bucks than than they would. In a normal market turns out it was the opposite because they're hitting the market in a bad market when everybody knows that there is a historically great draft class potentially historically great draft class at the position coming up and it seems like teams like the Eagles teams like the colts. They've decided that you know what we're not going to try to take a half measure here by signing Bouchard Perriman. And maybe he was a maybe he's GonNa turn back into a Pumpkin. They're deciding they're going to take the full measure and they're going to go nuts in the draft the downside for teams like India and Philadelphia especially because Philly soul has its first round. Pick the downside for somebody like Philly is everybody knows you need wide receivers so if you're GONNA try to trade up. Maybe philly tries to trade up for CD lamb. They're going to put a premium on that pick. Maybe somebody trades in front of you because they know you wanNA wide receiver. A little Birdie told me this past week that when the Philadelphia Eagles took Jj Artha whiteside the pick right before that. Kansas City traded in front of him and took Nicole Hardman. I was told the eagles were prepared to take Nicole Hardman with that. Pick so when you have a need teams know that. Hey we're GONNA force you to pay up if you WANNA trade up and teams behind you know they have to trade past you to get a wide receiver. So I was a little surprised. The Eagles didn't add anybody at that position. Same thing with the colts and now the colts don't even have a first round picks They traded out for deforest. Buckner so I was very surprised that somebody like demarcus Robinson who nobody's GonNa say as superstar Ross but I was a little bit surprise that he didn't get a little bit more interest from these wide receiver. Needy teams were. Maybe he could come in and compete to be their number two wide receiver Joe. That was fantastic. You know what else is fantastic betting on stuff and I know there's no NBA Nhl Ram Ob. But you can go to bed online right now. Bet Season Win. "All right Joe so it's wide receiver day and there's actually a lot to talk about. We did running backs and tight ends last week. But there's been a lot of wide receiver movement that has affected not only the teams where the guys were but where they are now. We need to know what you're thinking about them from a fantasy football spam point whether it's dynasty or for Redraft Keeper Leagues Everything. So let's start with the two trades now. I think we touched on them a little bit. But I still think. I want to circle back since we're all in a wide receivers today with the de'andre Hopkins Trade. What it means for him. What it means for the other Arizona cardinals receivers and what it means for the leftovers in. Houston well the thing for De'andre Hopkins here is. I'm not sure this is a downgrade for him and I think a lot of people are focusing on the fact that he was utterly peppered with targets in Houston and I think that's fair to Shawn Watson loved throwing the ball to de'andre Hopkins and oftentimes. He only really had de'andre Hopkins to throw the ball to because we'll fuller and Kikuchi were injured. Kenny stills in and out of the lineup so I don't really see it that way the one thing that I that you wanNA point out here with De'andre Hopkins is cliff. Kingsbury is a purveyor. He's a student of the air raid. And One thing. I am near certain about this season. Is that quip? Kingsbury is going to want to run more plays than he ran last year in Arizona. Believe it or not you know you hear about all this pace and the spread and all that stuff with the air raid. Arizona was ran the eleventh. Us plays in the NFL. Lashed near now part of that yet. A rookie quarterback you're receiving core actually wasn't all that good Larry Fitzgerald who's obviously an all time great. But he's a slot player at this point. Christian Kirk Flash but didn't do a whole lot and then you're throwing Trent Sherfield out there. A bunch of rookies or out there Andy. Isabella couldn't get on the field yet. Keyshawn Johnson so you had guys really. They wanted to run that that ten personnel with one running back and four wide receivers on the field but they really have the receivers to do that. So towards the end of the year we saw more eleven and twelve personnel from Cliff Kingsbury. I think he's GonNa WanNa try to mix in more that ten personnel because De'andre Hopkins is going to play basically a hundred percent of the snaps and the other thing here is cuyler. Murray is a super high level thrower like He. I know he's small. He's short and those guys you've you. He's mobile. You're like all right. You know he's mobile but maybe he's not the best thrower in the world. I think even Lamar Jackson's biggest fans would say yeah he's not the best thrower in the NFL but he makes up for in other areas. Khyber Murray is one of the best stores in the NFL. I'd argue. He's one of the just in terms of pure arm talent. One of the five best throwers in the league. I think Kyle Murray is due for a big season and I think De'andre Hopkins is going to be just fine here. Is HE GONNA get one hundred ninety targets. Maybe not but I still think he could be. Somebody who posts in the range of eighty five ninety receptions for eleven hundred yards and seven or eight touchdowns and that is going to return. First round value for De'andre Hopkins so if he falls into the second round. I will be buying deandre Hopkins. You might be a little hesitant to draft him in the first round. But I really am not sure that this is a significant downgrade for Hopkins. I look at this point. I'd say Shawn Watson. Better quarterback than Cuyler Murray. We have way more of a sample size with the Shawn Watson. Then we do have with Kyla Murray Murray looking back in an offense that didn't have a great offensive line. Didn't really have a run game until they traded for Kenyan drake and was really was really str- cash-strapped at the wide receiver position because it was really fitzgerald and Kirk and then a bunch of guys. That didn't really come on consistently. I think this is a huge upgrade for the cardinals. It goes without saying it frees them up to draft a tackle in the NFL draft. Because I thought wide receiver would have been a position of need for them. It frees them. The draft. One of those big time tackles. I'm sure you've studied them. Ross in the first round of the NFL draft overall. I don't really see this. As a huge downgrade for De'andre Hopkins matter of fact I would be inclined to say he's kind of holding steady for me fantasy. He landed in a good offense. An offense that I think is going to run a lot more. Plays this year with improving quarterback. A coach who showed throughout the season last year that he was willing to adapt when things weren't working. I actually think this is a really good fit for Andre Hopkins. His thirty percent target share. It might decline but the cardinal's might make up for that with pure volume. How does it affect the other cardinals? Receivers WELL CHRISTIAN KIRK. I think is going to be somebody. I'M GONNA END UP TARGETING. I feel like I might have been a year too early with Kurkin. I know you had a couple of big Dfs weeks last year. Certainly we were profitable with some of those on the podcast. But he really didn't come out consistently he had some injuries. I think Christian Kirk. Somebody's GonNa follow like the eighth round and I'm going to be really in on him at that price. I really liked that. You'll you'll be number three number four wide receiver for fantasy at that price especially will love him. In Best Ball Larry Fitzgerald should be like a double digit round. Pick somebody you have on your bench and you put them into your lineup. When you're like you know what I got guys on by. I have guys injured. All I need right now is somebody to give me four catches for forty five yards. I think will be able to do that. And then we have to see who emerges from Andy Isabella keyshawn Johnson. I think they're probably happy or would be happy to see Andy Isabela. Take the step forward since he was a second round pick last year. So that's how I view it all breaking down. I think Hopkins is going to be a cost per second round pick. I think Kirk is going to be in that seventh eighth round range and large probably shouldn't go until the double digit rounds but obviously right now the the the cardinals have a more talented that receiver position than the Houston Texans do. Let's Talk Texans than while we're on that subject. And not only the loss of de'andre Hopkins the edition of Randall. Cobb what do you think about COBB and Houston? And what's the impact on stills and fuller while Cobb actually ended up having a way better season than most people anticipated. He averaged fifteen point one yards per catch with Dallas. Last season he played fifteen games. It was He hasn't played sixteen games since two thousand fifteen. He's a guy who had a bunch of injuries. So Randall COBB. I think had a season as a matter of fact a career high in yards per catch for him I'm still a little skeptical. That's going to carry through. He's turns thirty in August but they gave him a lot of money. I think actually he got the most guaranteed money of any wide receiver on the open market at. I mean aside from Amari Cooper who resigned Dallas. So I think that that's kind of a bizarre signing and it might be yet another feather in the cap of Bill O'Brien so to speak but I think he somebody who can play the slot. He can he can create some explosive. Plays if you look at what he did last year. So I think he immediately jumps in front of somebody like Kikuchi who's been unreliable in the first place. The the real. The real wild card here is willful or because we know what kind of player will fuller can be. I mean this guy has been a fantasy stud when available throughout his career. The problem is that availability in four seasons. He has played forty two games. He has had serious injuries. Serious end nagging injuries. We're talking torn ligaments. But in addition to that hamstring problems and hamstring problems can linger. I think will fuller is going to be. He is he is going to be totally in the eye of the beholder. If you think you know what he's going to increase his volume he's always had a good rapport with the Shawn Watson and to Shawn Watson. Now doesn't have the Andre Hopkins. I think will fuller is on pace for one hundred thirty targets if he's able to play fourteen fifteen games by the way. He hasn't played fourteen games since his rookie season. And if you think that then he's probably going to be worth a fourth round pick for fantasy but some people at that price and he will get more expensive are not going to be in on him because they are too worried about the injury history. And then Kenny stills he becomes kind of be Armitage playwright he becomes the Guy who if I'm not investing in Willfuller? I don't have faith in Randall. Cop COPS probably going to be like an eleven twelve round. Pick probably will be on him at best ball by the way. But we'll four. He's a Kenny stills. Rather he somebody who you could say. Hey He's got the similar skill set to Willfuller. He averaged fourteen yards per catch last year. He's never averaged under fourteen yards per catch in his career and I have a little more faith in his availability. Then I do when Willfuller. Kenny stills has never played fewer than thirteen games in an NFL season and he's played sixteen games four times in his seven NFL seasons. So Kenny stills is going to be a guy who I think's going to go in that seventh eighth maybe even later range kind of a little bit after Christian Kirk. I think he might be the best value. Play of this Texan wide receiver core. Especially if you're worried about fuller's availability pretty interesting stuff there. Joe Let's get to the other big trade and that was defined digs going to the buffalo bills which I find very interesting digs in buffalo with Josh Allen. What do you think about this for digs? Feels like he'll probably get more targets but are they more inaccurate targets. Yeah they might be more accurate targets and I don't know if he will get more targets. I know that's what he's been clamoring for but You know the devil you know is sometimes better than the angel. You'll never meet and kirk cousins. I understand people's frustrations with them. Allen will certainly be a more aggressive thrower and I think steph on digs will like that. We have so many cups of digs frustrated. That kirk cousins wouldn't pull the trigger. But does it matter? We'LL STEPH ON DIGS. Be Happy. It Josh Allens pulling the trigger on target if the thing goes five yards above his head. That's the question I have so I'm not entirely sure. This is a great move for fantasy football for Stefan digs. Because the bills offense. Even if you're Josh Allen Fan I waver back and forth on that because I really like them for fantasy but even if you're a big Josh Allen Fan you have to acknowledge the guy's not the most efficient passer in the NFL. It's not his game. It never will be his game and while he might show incremental improvement. It doesn't necessarily mean that he's going to become Peyton manning all of a sudden. It's just not going to happen so we're talking about an offense year that Ad Stefan digs to the to John Brown. Obviously you got Devon Single Terry in the Backfield Dawson knocks at tight. End a really intriguing set of skill position players but with an inefficient passer at quarterback. Step on digs. Adp is going to be fascinating to watch. Because I don't think I would touch him before the fifth round..

"Big Bear Grizzly the local paper no details sales on injury bears down to twenty three players suited up for the game on an on the go there at least a few every weekend. Here's one more the most morbidly beautiful photo although I found from the Moab Utah Times August Fifteenth Grand County High School Full Pads preseason practice. It's twilight a single stand end of lights Fronta Cottigny Line of trees which fronts the rust colored mountains. This ambulance is parallel to the yard lines pointed at empty stands topped by a press box six the color of Roland Garros Clay labeled Red Devils in a funky font the players on their knees face the rear of the ambulance a single firemen walks in the foreground across the track toward the scene. The unnamed player suffered a bruised spinal cord. The paper reported it was unclear whether he would be able to play day in the team's first game later that day we'll post links to some of these images are you can get a feel for what the ambulance on the field photo looks like and why they're so captivating. Josh what's Your Louis Logo on Saturday nights in Austin the Lsu Tigers came away with a glorious forty five to thirty eight win over the Texas longhorns they hot and Humid Day temperatures nearing one hundred players kept leaving the field with cramps on one long drive in the third quarter four guys fell to the ground and had to leave turned out that every single player who cramped up during the game was on the LSU defense. There's been some speculation on message message boards and in the Texas based media after the game that these players were faking that they fell to the ground to slow down the pace of play catch their breath and stop the Texas offense momentum and they did this so l. she didn't have to call a timeout or take a penalty a couple of LSU Players Grant del Pat and Michael Divinity. It was reported boarded did go to the locker room to get visas so if they were faking that's pretty amazing commitment to the bit but it is certainly possible the not all of these were legitimate cramps and so now Stephan you talked about real football injuries. I will talk about fake football injuries. fake cramps have been an epidemic in college football since the rise of high speed UPTEMPO offenses particularly in the last decade the New York Times ran apiece in two thousand ten about the injury taking opponents of chip Kelly hyperspeed Oregon ducks during the cow actually suspended its defensive line coach for telling a player to flop intentionally a a year later. There's a mini controversy. After the giants faked injuries to slow down the Saint Louis Rams on Monday night football an item and profootballtalk noted an earlier incident in which quote route Patriots linebacker Willie mcginest went down with an alleged injury late in the fourth quarter of two thousand three game against the colts only to quote recover a minute later to get back back on the field and make the game saving tackle profootballtalk also mentioned that opponents of the boomer Esiason Sam Weiss no Huddle Cincinnati Bengals of eighties nineties used I used to fake injuries and their way quote thought the referee should award has team touchdown as a penalty for a palpably unfair act so oh college football and the NFL have rules to deal with injuries in the last minute in college and last two minutes of the half and the NFL how they charge that injured players team at time out. There's the potential to have a run off of the game clock so that clock stopping just can't be as easy as having a guy fall down and so I was interested to learn when all this started it wasn't actually with or again it wasn't even with the Cincinnati Bengals. I thought that this was just a scourge of modern football but it turns out that this happened all the time and that those rules about the last Mineta the half and in college actually stemmed from a particular incident November twenty first nineteen fifty three. I also learned about this from that. Same profootballtalk guided by the way on November twenty first nineteen fifty-three number one notre dame played Iowa and South Bend. I'm going to read the AP's AP's story on the game which I found on newspapers dot com in a newspaper in Cedar Rapids Iowa the gazette's this is the Iowa span ban on the game. The headline is very kiani should get an Oscar Frank varick. Yoni Notre Dame's two hundred five pound junior tackle from natick mass qualified elephant for an Oscar Saturday for his dramatic portrayal of an injured football player as the clock ticked off the final seconds before half-time Barrack Yanni let out a squeal on the field held his back and began staggering officials called an injured player timeout stopping the clock with one second remaining in the half very cuny was replaced with time for one play. Notre Dame scored Gordon a twelve yard pass. The conversion was made giving the Irish seven seven halftime tie game eventually ended in a fourteen fourteen deadlock very cuny played all but a few minutes the last half was he really hurt in his dormitory room two hours after the game a reporter and I'll pause this intrepid reporting or reporter found on the Husky tackle lying down and looking the picture of health he would not admit anything. He said he had no comment whatsoever. No use asking questions because I'm not going to talk about it. He insisted had a reporter asked. Don't you think feigning injury to stop the clock was using your head. You didn't know how many official timeouts team had and you didn't want to take a chance of the team later getting penalized too many timeouts. I'm not saying anything very cuny replied. We saw you get up after the play just previously the reporter said then you looked at the clock and started screaming again holding your backer leg where you really hurt. What do you think he parried? Johnny Ladder Notre Dame's all America halfback was asked about very cuny he said pretty smart thinking wasn't wasn't it that tricky tricky fighting Irish Frankfurt Q. and he died last year at the age of eighty five he became known as Faint and frank the Cedar rapids because that actually printed a poem about the incident that began oh patty dear and did you hear the news. That's going round. How Notre Dame is a winning games aims with players on the ground? The first hit the ground this day was Frank Barrack Yoni. The Irish claim that he was hurt but others cry Baloney Neil Rosendahl had a good blog post on this the noted the consequences of this this action Notre Dame fell and the people which back then there's no BCS there is now the AP poll was actually what determined the National Jamie so they fell the number two. They ended up behind Maryland so this is the reason for Maryland winning the national. It's only national championship. Notre Dame could not climb back to number one and the pulse another consequences that rules were put in about stopping the clock at the end of each half as I noted earlier and then there's this is like actually controversial and I'm not sure who's right here but frankly the legendary Notre Dame coach of of the day did not coach after that season it was reported at the time and has long been believed there was because of health reasons but this blog post I read by Neil Resin doll and I've sought some other people make this argument as well that lay he actually reputation was damaged by this moment and by Notre Dame getting the reputation for feigning injury sorry is this blog post says the public stance by Leahey's retirement has always been there for health reasons but Notre Dame's administration particularly father has Berg was incensed incensed by les he's Fainting Irish tactics and essentially let layhee go so if anybody is Notre Dame football historian wants to weigh on what the the reason is let us now that is our show for today. "Eleven average weighs one hundred eighty eight pounds with a four three nine forty and a thirty six and three quarter inch vertical. So not only can just different body site body types, be very productive. When you get to the extremes productivity tends to fall off the super John norms receivers don't tend to get the huge numbers and the small receivers unless they're tyreek hill don't tend to get the big numbers. So Samuel from aegis physically. He's a guy who fall somewhere. In that middle area physically and South Carolina used him all over the offense of front a lot. They really like to use him in bunch sets or trips formation. They played in the slot and out wide. And he's a guy were get the ball in his hands in turns into running back. He kind of. Watching him kind of felt similar to watching Victor Cruz back in the day. Just has that ability to put a foot in the ground sink, his hips and then explode out of his cut just kind of create separation, and then maybe not necessarily run away from defender. But at least hold the distance. Yeah, it's interesting just going back to what you said kind of about the profiles of these guys. I have talked a bunch about how a lot of the Athol lettuces on testing is through the Combi in spark scores and things like that are going to really shape, how we view these prospects as we get further into the evaluation process. I the one place where that matters less the end, I would probably barely look at it sparked for the position is is wide receiver. I will so much more at at production for wide receivers. Then then I do athleticism in regards to like every other position. Why receivers are just so different in in different ways. They can win and the different ways they can be successful. You can be relatively not super athletic. You don't need to be a super athlete to win and figure out how to get open as a wide receiver. So that's that's one thing that's going to be interesting to look at because so many of these guys can just win in different ways. So at Samuel is a guy who's going to be interesting because when I break down these target yards added. He's the guy who falls under a full tardy yards added. And that's when I start to bring up kind of a red flag. That's nothing. They aren't good guys in the past who have been under one target yard added. Doodoo you Smith's Schuster was was one of those guys. But I think more often than not it starts to bring up a red flag. And you wonder why? But Samuel was a guy. Who knows still heavily targeted in his authentic hundred targets that was a twenty four point eight percent target share is. But he's going to definitely be IBI guy guy to look at going forward. So I'll jump to to my second round pick, even though I am not sure if this guy should be second round pick because it might opinion. I think he should be wide receiver one in this class. And that is JJ Sega Whiteside from Stanford. This dude is just I find him to be just super good and really interesting. So he is listed at six three to twenty five. He was a beast of four Stanford. Yeah. Ninety five targets thousand fifty nine yards. You'd had fourteen touchdowns. He was she's a guy who just wins. Contested catches those how to use his body to to block out smaller defensive backs. He is also someone who can just. Have win just straight up off the line. He kind of reminded me of like he had like a Doug Baldwin release off the line and at six three to twenty five having a bigger Doug Baldwin is is insane. Yet is sixty seven percent catch rate, which is great. And in terms of yards added yet three point five yards added which among the guys I have right now is eighth in this class. And that was with a twenty three point three percent target chair in the Stanford offense. So he was getting through net quite a bit. He added a lot that offense. I love his size. What his speed I love how the uses all of those together. Just create a full everything you would look for into wide receiver. I think our Sega Whiteside can bring to the table. I would not dispute you on any of that..

"His sixteen game pace is one hundred and four catches eleven hundred yards and six touchdowns he is Larry FitzGerald. Why would you look at a sixteen game pays for a player that can't play more than twelve and doesn't play every game when he's supposed to be played sixteen fourteen nine and six games in those four seasons and we're not less five seasons. There's zero in there's yes. I'm just saying when he's been on the field, he has performed like Larry FitzGerald. So I think that's what not really. Not really. Basically exactly. I mean Adam, you should take a lawyer show is pretty good. Okay. But I think that selling him short because one hundred four catches eleven hundred yards and six touchdowns that's Larry FitzGerald. So. So I'm just saying I don't. I don't think you can expect that older players coming off, tears. They struggle, I get it, but let's not sell them short. It's, I think it's an exciting pick if you can get him late in a mid round, can't we just talked about his ADP. I wide receiver PR and perform like seventh round in the non bureau drift. Yeah, I, I'm starting to wonder if that's too high. I I'm a little nervous about the new situation if in fact he's still not one hundred percent, but if he's hundred percent, I love it around seven. I actually think that when I heard the report of elements saying he wasn't there, I didn't have his legs under him. That was a couple of weeks ago at that point. There was something yesterday or two days ago where it looked like he kinda slow down after a reception so people are getting, oh my God, he's not the same because apparently he finished his every play like a maniac. Can I can I just one thing. One One thing. thing. I thought the suspension might actually be good for him the of an extra month recover. Now, last time he played football was twenty sixteen guess. We ranked in terms of consistency in fantasy football that year. I I will say this Dave. I don't actually have no interest in him in non PBR and you're probably going to tell me his consistency and non PR. I only have interest Jillian element in PR leaks because that's right. Adam sixty six. So do you only have interesting Larry FitzGerald and PBR Luke's at his ADP? Yeah, I want ler Fitzgerald's per game pace over his last four seasons..

"Take that, what's good. What's he used to average ones. Go ahead. No additional positional strategy. No. Seriously, Tatchell visits. Digital, but how important is it to you to get a top ten wide receiver? It's not the most important thing, especially in non PR. I think you can find wide receivers, rounds, three and four that you'll be okay starting. And that's on the assumption that your first you picks are really, really good such as two top ten running backs stud running back and gronk something like that. But I think what you will see and most of your drafts is the majority of fantasy leaguers taking one running back one wide receiver, not necessarily in that order after the first two routes. So one of each that means that they're wide open to go in any direction they want and around three and beyond and they can feel good about what my stunned running back up. Got my stud wide receiver. I'm ready to take on the world, and I don't know who really thinks that way on drafts other than like little character actors and old time movies. But that's what you're looking at. You wanna find you wanna try. I think it's smart to get at least one good wide receiver with your first three picks. What's more important you guys having a top ten running back or having a top ten wide receiver with me, you know what the answer is running back? Yeah, depends where I'm going. And it probably depends on the format. Right jour-. Jer heathy of any preference. I would much rather have a top five wide receiver in the top ten running back. And that's the decision you're making based on ADP. So I would rather have a top two wide receiver than a top six running back. Another decision you're making, you're not ever really with eighty right now. You're not making a decision between the tenth running back in the tenth receiver cause running backs going so much quicker. You're not gonna force that though. Right? Your first five picks aren't going to be your first five overall aren't wide receivers. You're not going to be knucklehead. I for five art running back. Some that are knuckleheads is gonna take the fifth running back over in Daniel Brown. That's fine unless you really thought that that guy would be. But if I'm just saying like the number one overall pick, you're still going to take a running back running back with the first three and wide receiver. The next two, regardless of format, regardless of format. I'm not a hundred percent. Sure why Hopkins is because he's not really like fantasy prose ADP going like eighth ninth overall for picks after Tony Brown. I, but we always seem to have them sort of backed drafts like ground goes. Okay. Now how contests ago and fantasy prose got Barclay and chimera in between the two of them. No chance at dig. Either one of the head of under happens, you also have Leonard fournette Kareem hunt, Melvin Gordon behind, I guess. I'm just wondering why Hopkins is considered basically almost in the Brown tear instead of the Beckham Julio. It's cetera here, but I think you see most drafts that's where he's gonna end up going closer to that tear into the Brown. Do you think so? Yeah. I mean, we saw it in in the draft. Did he went behind Jones in. Oh, really? Which was that? The one yesterday, the super flex one. Oh, the Subaru. Okay. Yeah, it was a weird draft. Does it better start in your opinion, running back running back or wide receiver, wide receiver totally depends on where you're drafting driving in the first three picks probably running back running back from drafting in the last three, probably receiver, receiver, ASO think format matters the wide receiver wide receiver. I like a lot better in PR. What What do you. do you say like Melvin Gordon and and Alvin cook or Beckham Julio Jones. Beckham Jones Gordon cook. Jamie Beckham jumps, honestly, it's fine to disagree on that. That's there's no wrong answer. Maybe we could say that those are all there will be. Good luck predicting it. All right. Which group do you like more Amari Cooper, Larry, FitzGerald, Josh Gordon, Demaria's Thomas. Maybe a Minnesota wide receiver falls like Cooper fits Gordon Marius Vikings wide receiver, or Alex Collins and Kenyan Drake. Just those two running. That's actually the way, and I was gonna say j. j..

"Yeah, the the the reality is, you know, the same argument that we made for Antonio Brown. He's very consistent, has huge blow up games can be made for Odell Beckham, junior. If you look at what the numbers that I was saying, the two year splits that I look at these are just games played number two is, oh Beckham junior as far as being consistent as a wide receiver, one or two sixty five percent of his games. He's better than a one or two or better than than than the twenty fourth wide receiver. And if you look at say number three, Michael Thomas during that time, and you can. Compare. Well, how how can you have big blow up games at really win you week? Michael, Thomas is at twenty nine percent while Oto Beckham is second at fifty percent of his games are those big wide receiver, one weeks, his talent is unbelievable. So I, I'm fine with Odell Beckham as number two, we all have him competitor three, but we each have him ranked as as our third wide receivers. Offense should be better. Welcome back. Oh, del you gotta play Jacksonville week one. Yeah, jail Jalen Ramsey. All right. I was so excited for the giants. I saw Jalen Ramsey was suspended by the Jaguars and I went, oh, maybe the giants can get off the week, and then I'm like for preseason. That's yeah, suspended a priest before the convenience to be to be fair. If you didn't see the the news on in Tonio Calloway wide receiver from the Cleveland Browns. His punishment was to play in the pre. Well, let's do play the entire preseason game. Yeah, number four. Julio Jones. Jason hasn't been number two and I got no problem with somebody putting him there, listens, twenty twelve. He was the eleventh best wide out injured in two thousand thirteen and has finished since then eighth second, sixth and fourth in despite the kind of. Mindset that people have about Julio always hobbled. He's played fifteen games sixteen games, fourteen games, sixteen games. He finds his way out on the field and last year eighty eight receptions for one thousand four hundred forty four yards on one hundred forty. Nine targets. Now just three touchdowns that has positive aggression written all over it. I could be a double digit touchdown guy this year lately. Agree. I mean the touchdowns are the real thing here. Julio is an unfathomable talent. He's you just read. I can't even fathom. I know you're you. You just read how he is always one of the top fantasy producing wide receivers. And then you look at last season first year with Sarkisian and there's this weird outlier. Eight teen red zone targets. Ten targets inside the ten zone. I mean only three touchdowns from from from those inside the twenty and inside the ten. I only see two touchdowns. So one of us one of us is right, but very few touched. From that. That's an outlier on saying helium, three touchdowns on the season, the seasons, right? Okay. Yes. But from all those targets inside the ten inside the twenty I mean, you should expect. And the thing is a lot of people said, well, that's, that's Julio right? He doesn't. He doesn't score a lot of touchdowns. He gives you the yards doesn't have to be. It doesn't have to be..

"Two years ago is the twenty ninth. You know, wide receiver. If you look at his splits last year, he was dominant. He was unbelievably consistent. Fantastic, good for you. But if you look at the two year sample, which is kind of how I look at wide receivers, you know, the average, there you go, okay, he's he's really good, but he's being drafted as if what he did last year is absolutely what he's going to do. Again, we've talked about Shawn Watson touchdown rate being astronomically high, like impossible to repeat even if he is the number one quarterback next year. He's not going to repeat that touchdown rate. So. I do think the Andre Hopkins like to me, I drowned your hopkins's by fourth wide receiver this year, love him. That's the that's a great ranking, but I would still rather have Odell Beckham, junior and Julio Jones over the Andre, the I think that's yeah. Yeah, I, I agree with some of what you said. It's I definitely don't agree with the two year sample piece just because of the quarterback situation. We I, I think that that's proven. Yeah, he we had has proven troublesome. If you'd looked at Fitzgerald's to your split when he had John Skelton or you look at another like certain quarterback infecting nobody could do. Yeah, there's in. It wasn't Watson the whole time. He also had to play with some pretty bad quarterbacks for the second half of the season. The target, the target share that the Andre Hopkins got this past season. That's where even though I currently have Hopkins at number two, that's that's the most difficult thing. Because last year Hopkins, eight, thirty, three percent target share thirty. Three percent of the of the passes went to. Henry Hopkins you can look at and that's number one in the league wide receiver ranked to through ten in target share. They are average twenty, seven percent. I mean, that's a huge gap. A huge jump up to where Hopkins was at number one will fuller their their second best wide receiver was in and out of the lineup. If he can play sixteen games, you have to get him more involved. The evolution of Braxton Miller who's getting some of that offseason hype that offseason love. So that would be my only concern is that a hundred and seventy targets comes down to the one fifty range in that simply means then Hopkins will finish. This is number five. So he's, he's still going to. I don't see a way that Hopkins destroys your team, right? Yeah, boss on the pick. I agree with that. This is a much better receiving core as a team, like you said with, you know, we'll. Fuller, they drafted KiKi Kuti. Now they've got a couple of tight ends kinda shown flashes. So to have that kind of target share percentage would be really tough. That being said, if I was the quarterback of the Houston, Texas with Hopkin, I was talking to the number three art Odell Beckham junior is our consensus number three wide receiver he returns from injury is average draft position right now is the eleventh pick of the first round. And he's an interesting case because if you could blow it out the injury from your mind from your bias, right? Like stuff. Let's say the judge over there. He looks over to the journey says, please disregard that injury testimony. Could you do it and what would that mean that would mean he would should be the number two wide receiver? Yes, on the air. Because before that before last year's injury, he never had fewer than thirteen hundred yards. He's never had fewer than ninety receptions. He's never had fewer than double digit. Touchstones Oto. Beckham is a monster in a he is I think, as close as you can get to Tonio Brown level of giving you the advantage at the wide receiver position, we just haven't seen that. We haven't seen a top three season from old from Beckham even based on those numbers..

"We're about to kick off the wide receiver top ten list on today's show before I do that. I do want to just let people know my thirty two shamelessly bold predictions article is coming out very, very soon. Last year's article featured such hits as Cam Newton's, return to form juju Smith Schuster breakout season. The fact that the Broncos starting running back. For this year was not on the roster, and so it'll be really fun to get that article out there. See what you guys disagree with, probably everything. Well, let's go out and talk whiteouts. Wide receivers. All right. Let's do a boys this first name. Well, it's no surprise. Number one, Tonio Brown. Pretty good if -able he is fantastic and he is such a cut above every other wide receiver when it comes to two things which are both the most important things you want consistency in vain ac- football and you want big game ability in fantasy football. He is the most consistent wide receiver at fantasy football, and he has the biggest games in fantasy film. I mean there's not much to say about Antonio Brown. He's done it year after year after year. His average season totals over the last four years. If you look at what he has averaged last season, no one got as many receptions as he has averaged and no one has had as many yards as he has averaged over the last four seasons. He's past five season average one hundred sixteen receptions one thousand five hundred sixty nine yards. Ten touchdowns. Yup, average since two thousand thirteen. Just to back that up. Most receptions in the league, most touchdowns in league most yards in the league, Antonio Brown is as Jason would say, when you saddle a stud with your first round, pick he to me is the only wide receiver who fits that category as he gives you the same advantage that he workhorse three down running back gives you because Antonio Brown is so consistent and so good. He's back. There was a little little hold the breath because Antonio Brown was missing some time with a minor injury, but then the clips of him just making horse torch guy, making fools out of defensive backs. Tonio Brown is the man. He should be the number one wide receiver. If you wanna take them number one overall in the draft, Idaho problem. Yes, agreed. Number two, I was easy yonder Hopkins, depending on your scoring system..

"Wide receiver screens if if they don't get in the ball early than especially coming out after halftime there's a deliberate effort to throw him those wide receiver screens to get his touches up noga i'll go brown to two or false devante adams is legit number one receiver in green bay he's legitimately their number one receiver yes he's not an our top ten i said the top eight guys are true bona fide number to me number one receiver is someone who influences the defense no matter where that receiver lines up snap after snap i don't think is quite to that yet but he's the guy that opposing teams number one corners traveled was certainly every week they roll the coverage to him he's who you focus on with passing game but remember every passing game you're going to focus on somebody you're not gonna very often go into a us you're playing the bears last year not gonna say well we'll just lineup play we don't need to worry about who's it wide receiver you're not going to do that i was going to ask because i said false to this i do like davante adams but but not as a as sort of what maybe what jordy nelson was in this offense three or four years ago do you think defenses focus on on him or is it going to be jimmy graham who who's gonna keep them at night it'll be atoms yeah it'll be adams yeah it'll be adams team skit teams are terrified of getting beat over the top by a big play that's the that's what scares everybody the most and you guard against that grams not a speed brand grams not going to run away from me adams can more catches in kansas city sammy watkins or tyreek hill tyree kill kind of for the tonio brown reason they'll get them some quick catches the extended hand off account as a catch so for taking this in a literal sense but then tire kills better than sammy i'm surprised he didn't get closer to our discussion of top ten receivers tyrod kill that is he's a better player walk ins he became a very good receiver last just and he was a true wide receiver they didn't use them on the gadgetry as much last season yeah yeah i mean look we talked we talked dell.

"Then it'd be eight doesn't allow that yeah let me make i don't know i'm talking talking that i'm talking now if you're about junior says sign relatively short term on the next one and then get your get your monster deal on your third contract yeah the the issue with that as a wide rece 'cause i know kirk cousins did that because he has a chance to bigger contract issue that is wide receivers are dependent on factors outside of them so much still has to throw the ball someone that's the design plays with a quarterback you have the ball so you're values is inherently built in so let's to bet on yourself as a receivers a bigger gamble just if teams double and triple team yeah i mean we're simplifying it but you're reliant on other factors to be productive as a wide receiver mir more reliant than you are as a qb you can't build around your so i i don't think you wanna bet on yourself the same way i think it's barely that the bigger gamble if you do all right i got a lot more interesting with this negotiation from the giants perspective once once they moved on from ben mcadoo which might have been a little bit overdue anyway but i do too because the macadear scheme was more reliant on beckham than any scheme probably will ever be that at skin asks wide receivers to win and therefore basically carry the offense to with the quarterback of course having a big role in that yes you're right but pat shurmur scheme will not look as good with oto beckham out yeah well let's let's go onto julio jones who's kind of where oh beckham junior probably be in three or four years at the end of his next contract julio he sat out the mandatory minicamp and you know we'll we'll see what happens is summer but there's no guaranteed money left on that deal he wants a new deal we're actually we're going to queue this up with with a clip from podcast we like this is locked on thousand's podcast i believe we are hearing the voice of aaron freeman if i'm if i'm correct their own mike antonio brown who's going to be aged twenty nine going into the final years contract julio will be.

"Hugh tempting podcast i am gary grambling he is and even this is going to be a good one this is the wide receiver show just a ton of news i mean look the people of wide receivers anyway but lots of news he stuff lots of fascinating contract situations at the top and look the we're talking about superstars here at the at the top of the show where we're talking guys like oh beckham junior we're talking who yo jones i mean these are of of these are huge these are these are sort of franchise defining type of players here in very sticky situations because we're trying to decide what are they worth and with a quarterback it's it's easy because quarterbacks often if you like your qb gotta pay them in what you games a function of the market value so kirk cousins becomes a highest paid guy then when somebody else gets paid the next one before cousins it was garoppolo whoever's matt ryan now he's it's just a matter of recency it's not quite as true with wide receivers and that's what makes it difficult and then and beckham's case he might want to try to get in that quarterback discussion in terms of numbers and that makes it really difficult yeah yeah well let's we'll have our unveiling of the top ten receivers in the nfl and obviously the first couple of guys getting to discuss they are going to the on the countdown as well but we're starting with the big topics here and and we're starting with the contract situations of these two superstars let's start with beckham junior to me this is this is utterly fascinating when ben mcadoo when they were when with giant or running that yell eleven personnel all the time and they wanna to go little bit faster and no huddle and then they just wanted their guys to to go out and beat the guy in front of them and and really beckham the only guy in the building who can do that the last couple of years he was indispensable he really was as valuable as really some quarterbacks are to their offenses as far as what the giants needed from him now you have pat shurmur who i mean look he can scheme guys open a little bit more of opec of junior certainly if you're projecting forward for the.
