Why Won't Whoopi Goldberg Give up Her Own Armed Personnel?

"If what was pissed, then we should give up our constitutional rights. Because she's angry. Hey, guess what? Whoopi, we're all angry. We ought to be angry. And we ought to be livid at the casual way that people like you want to pick and choose who gets to be protected. I can promise you that Joe Biden isn't advocating for a reduction in the caliber of weaponry that protects him and his family. I can promise you that Whoopi Goldberg isn't going around telling her our bodyguards to give up your arms. I can guarantee you the rich famous people who are routinely protected by armed personnel have no interest in giving up their arm protection. But if you're alone in your house in the Woods in the middle of nowhere, you don't get to have one.

Whoopi Goldberg Tells NRA That AR-15s Have ‘Got to Go’

"Now, I can promise you when Whoopi Goldberg makes a public appearance, she has armed protection. As you should, she's high profile, she's controversial. Nobody wants anything to happen to anybody. I don't care what your ideology is. I can promise you she is in telling her armed guards not to be armed. But she doesn't want you to be armed. Listen, this AR-15s got to go. I'm sorry. Because, you know, I think about those people up in Buffalo who are still suffering because they still can't go shop anywhere 'cause nobody will bring a supermarket where these folks are living. There is too much at stake here. Too many lives have been at stake. And too many damn little kids. I'm sick of seeing people talk about, well, we should do some. No, we should do something. And I don't care NRA. You got to give that gun up. You have your other yeehaw guns, whatever you want. The AR-15 has to go. It's not a hunting gun. It's a weapon. It is not a gun where you're going to go out and shoot your dinner. This gun is meant to kill people. That's what it's for. And you can't have it anymore.

You know, this is the most ridiculous. Just saying, I don't trust a black woman to do the job. Because I know that y'all didn't have these same issues with Amy Coney Barrett. And when Amy Coney Barrett answered the same way that judge had grounded when you asked her if you thought they were going to need more people on the Supreme Court. Whoopi Goldberg Sounds Off on the GOP's Embrace of Putin

"Detail, kind of how the media is reacting to the entire bio lab story. So the philosopher queen herself Whoopi Goldberg, she decided she has to weigh in on this. And just play cut 60. Propaganda. That has been brought down. They used to arrest people for doing stuff like this. If they thought you were colluding with the Russian agent. And if they thought you were putting out information or taking information and handing over to Russia, they used to actually investigate stuff like this and I guess now, you know, there seems to be no bars. And people are not being told to hate Putin. Putin doesn't need a reason to be hated. It's pretty much clear. He started a war. And unnecessary. But this is kind of like, isn't this contributing to the death? Just the rest of them all. I mean, come on. You notice how she just changes terms. We used to arrest people. I mean, come on investigate. I said, she's all over the place. But of course, it's a threat. It's a signal threat is what it is. They want that to go viral for anyone that dares to question the mainstream narrative. ABC goes after Tucker Carlson for quote being the Putin wing of the Republican Party. Play cut 47. What seems to be almost the Putin wing of the Republican Party, which, to be fair, is not prevalent in much on Capitol Hill, but we've seen Tucker Carlson basically repeat Russian propaganda night after night. What the hell is going on? Well, first of all, before they fell in love with Putin, they fell in love with Orban in Hungary. Make America great again. Let's make America more like Hungary. Now, of course, George will used to be really interesting and smart, and now George will is really boring, predictable, and just kind of a spokesperson and a mouthpiece, honestly, for the regime. If You Disagree With the Status Quo, You Must Be an Agent of Putin

"Totalitarian hobbies of the American elites. I mean, they live very their lives are very vacant and devoid of purpose. So they kind of hop from one kind of political movement to the other. Try to scream at the top of their lungs as saying that if you do not agree with everything that we say, you're a terrible person and we want to imprison you. Do we have the Whoopi Goldberg clip from yesterday? We got to get that. It's just one example of many. But there is this kind of continual theme that if you disagree with the status quo as we've built out such as you don't believe in the competency of our leaders, you don't think success could be easily achieved. You also believe that this might destabilize the United States positions at the world reserve currency. All these very rational things that you're somehow an agent of Putin. And this is happening not just from left wing media, but even people on the right are saying this as well. I mean, you take one person, for example, Adam kinzinger, who's been wrong about every major foreign policy situation, since he got elected. Adam kinzinger says I refuse to validate the evil Tucker Carlson's propaganda program. This is all around this idea of whether or not there are bio labs in Ukraine and whether the United States is funding them, we're going to separate fact from fiction on that. Because for whatever reason, this is kind of the one of the most amazing gaslighting experiments I personally have ever lived through, where you could see so easily in front of you, what's actually happening. And they're like, no, no, no, no. That's not happening. Play cut 42. I got an invitation to do Tucker Carlson show tonight. And there's no way I'll go on a show for a number of reasons. But first, let me state that his insistence that the west was provoking war with Putin, his spreading lies about bio labs and has continued spewing of conspiracy theories are nothing but complete evil. His show is full of Russian propaganda and not news. And I will not validate his show by making an appearance. Validate his show by making an appearance. No, you're just scared he's actually going to ask you direct questions. So Adam kinzinger, we'd love

Roasts Are the Junkyard Dog of Comedy

"And from the standpoint of a comedian who goes to roast, which are the junkyard dog, you know, teeth, gnashing, fucking bloodsport, the roaster blood sports. You know, I go back to a roast many years ago. I mean, maybe some of you heard this, but Johnny Carson was roasting. I'm going to fuck this up. I forget who the roast was for. But Elizabeth Taylor was in the front row, I believe, and Carson said something like we were going to hold this roast, we were looking for a bigger venue for this roast, but Elizabeth Taylor's punch was taken. That's the way the roast began. You know, I don't have to remind you of Ted Danson and Whoopi Goldberg with Ted and blackface. I was at that roast. Linda Stacy and I were one of the two journalists to ever be allowed to attend a roast like that. And it was an honor. And to see Ted, you know, in blackface was startling. You knew it was wrong. His girlfriend Whoopi is right there, apparently Whoopi wrote the jokes from him. Whoopi said the blackface was fine. But the way it opened, where Ted's mom said, ten, I'm worried about you in this whoopee girl. What about, how do you feel about having kids with that? And he said, mom, relax, I'm only fucking her in the ass. I only bring these up to show you how crazy dirty roast are

Eric and John Zmirak on Racism and Whoopi Goldberg

"Hey folks, I'm talking to John's Merrick about racism. Turns out we both agree it's bad, but we're talking about how Whoopi Goldberg recently said that the Holocaust, the blond, the blond blue eyed teutonic murdering the Jews that wasn't based on racism. Turns out she was mistaken. And she's sort of fake apologized and doubled down on the Stephen Colbert show. I think Whoopi Goldberg inadvertently revealed something important about the culture, just the way that bubble headed reporter when she when the people were chanting F Joe Biden and she said, oh, look, they're saying, let's go Brandon. This is a let's go Brandon moment. This is a glitch in the matrix. Whoopi Goldberg revealed that for her racism is simply a club that black people and maybe Hispanics get to use on white liberals. And that's all it is. It's just a political weapon, it's not based in any deeper vision of the human person. It's not based in the Christian faith that motivated the civil rights movement. I mean, you and I know why racist is wrong. I don't think would be Goldberg could give you a good explanation. I like to ask liberals. Why is racism wrong? And that. I literally talk about this everywhere I go. I just spoke about it at a church and we posted a short, very short clip. Less than two minutes on my Instagram page. Why is racism wrong? This is a big issue. You and I have talked about it a lot on this program, but I want to suggest that the view ends up over the decades being, I don't know, a bellwether or the canary in the coal mine because what comes out of their largely uninformed mouths is very telling.

John Zmirak: Whoopi Goldberg, Anti-Racism, and the Priests of Baal

"About? Well, I've got a new piece up at stream dot org that I hope people will check out and the title is the mild reasonable Whoopi Goldberg anti racism and the priests of ball. I love your titles. They're so catchy. Say it again. Thank you. Say it again, please. Whoopi Goldberg anti racism and the priests of ball now piece of ball. Goldberg is my favorite text. Anti racism and the priests of ball or bail depending on what part of Long Island you're from. Okay, go ahead. Go ahead. Well, Elijah making fun of the priests of bail after they do their competitive sacrifices and the priests of bail ring there, bring their sacrifices and pray for their gods to set them on fire. And Elijah brings a sacrifice to yahweh and the pagans fires don't start Elijah's does and Elijah mocks them. He says, are your God sleeping? Are they on the toilet? Maybe they're traveling. It was a great moment. If you don't mind, there are a lot of people who listen to this program who are not familiar with the passage of the Old Testament to which you referring, so can you, can you just set that up? Because this is one, you know, it's interesting because if you read the Bible wrong, you're going to start with numbers and you'll get confused and then you'll put it aside. There are stories in the Old Testament that are so extraordinary. They're historic set pieces. It's kind of like, you know, the exciting parts of Shakespeare, the parts that you remember, one of those is exactly what you're referring to. It is just one of the most dramatic moments. I don't think it's ever been portrayed on film. I imagine it has not. No, I don't think so. And it would be fun to do it in a somewhat for humor. Like I like to see the Coen brothers do the book of kings. I think you and I are going to do it,

"I have no mercy. No pity. None. I have this much pity, which is none for Whoopi Goldberg. Karen, what's the name Karen something her real name? People on the right has said, oh, you can't do. You can't celebrate this when they're trying to cancel Joe Rogan. Sorry, I don't buy it. Castle culture is trying to destroy people for political opinions, saying the Holocaust wasn't racist, isn't a political statement. It's heinous. Boris, am I wrong? Have I missed something here? You're totally not wrong. You know, here's the problem. The left does not believe that they are supposed to play an act by the same rules as our applied to conservatives and maga. And we've got to be universal. Now I will tell you and I treated this. We actually got this horrible rise of anti semitism that's happening. And it's happening from the left, okay? Right. You've got this hateful anti Israel at that seminar arise that is very, very concerning, very troubling. Whoopi Goldberg herself, nobody really cares about what we call it. No, she's a sideshow. The view is a joke. And I actually tweeted, I hope will be Goldberg being so wrong about the Holocaust as the worst thing that happens to our people for the forese future. I'm not optimistic about that. Right. But having said that, the problem is, when you do not recognize that the Holocaust was a systematic undertaking to race a people to annihilate a race, the Jewish people, you are minimizing the Holocaust. You're trivializing the Holocaust. And here's what I'll say. And maybe, you know, I think I write about this, but people can disagree. How about just keeping the Holocaust out of people's mouths, you know? How about being respectful to the 6 million men, women and beautiful children slaughtered by the hateful Germans and all their heads? If you undermined the antislavery, if you said that oh that's a God forever. Could you imagine if she said that about slavery or well, slavery wasn't about race? It was about, oh, I don't know economics. Would we be okay with that Boris? Would anybody?

This is just whoopie used to be someone that was like fun and magnanimous and just kind of kind of an American icon, honestly. I don't know Whoopi's personal story. And of talent, they're both obviously very talented. Whoopi Goldberg was excellent in sister act and color purple, but what happened to Whoopi Goldberg and Oprah and both are super rich. I mean, Oprah is really rich. How rich is Oprah now? How rich is Oprah? $2.7 billion? That's a lot. And Oprah started from absolutely nothing and she's built an amazing career for herself. 1980s and 1990s Oprah, she was charming. She was fun. She was fair, she was honest. 3.5 billion, okay. She had her whole deal in downtown Chicago. Which was harpo studios and Oprah has just turned into an surprisingly nasty person. And so has Whoopi Goldberg, I don't know, maybe someone can explain it to me how the more successful they get the meaner they get. So Whoopi Goldberg comes out and she argues that the Holocaust is not about race. Yeah, it was kind of only about race. I hate to put it. It's not just that you're wrong. It's the opposite of the truth. It was completely and totally about racial, hierarchy, and superiority and judgments via race. It was the whole deal. It wasn't like a small component about it. It was the mission statement. The mission statement was to organize society based on racial preferences. Now, we would never organize America based on racial preferences, right? We would never do such a thing as that. Nor would we teach people to care about skin color. But what I think Whoopi is talking about is actually very revealing into the mind of a rich angry aging black woman. Which is they don't think it's about race if it doesn't involve black people..

"The idea that someone could just look at the Holocaust and not see those same kinds of ideas, I think that was really hurtful for people because it just felt like why wouldn't we view these two things in similar contexts and work together to combat them? Why is there this attempt to continuously put Jews in a separate box in a separate category? In fact, you talked about the stories you've heard from your grandmother who was born in Berlin. Most of those stories were about what she was not allowed to do, right? I mean, can you talk about her experiences in Nazi Germany? And how that compares to the experiences of the American south? Yeah, it's interesting because I write frequently about my grandparents experiences during the war, but I typically write about my paternal grandmother martial, who is a survivor of the camps and death marches and labor camps and is from Lithuania. But for this particular story, what I kept coming back to was my maternal grandmother, oma, who came here right before crystal knocked. And so escaped kind of the worst of concentration camp labor camps, death marches. That piece of it. But unlike my other grandparents who kind of overnight had the realities in their country's changed by German occupation, oma grew up in Berlin at a time where it was very slow. Every single month there was something new that she wasn't allowed to do. And she was of the age where she understood last year I could go to the zoo. This year I can't. And so she has so often spoke about what that meant and just feeling this overwhelming claustrophobia of not being allowed to do anything seeing signs everywhere, no Jews, no dogs. Does that make me a dog? Why am I being treated like an animal? My grandmother, she came to this country, Thanksgiving as a religious holiday for her. She is the most patriotic American there is. She's so grateful to have been taken in here. And I think for someone like her and I read her the article and she was basically saying this to me weeping for someone like her this kind of incident is so disturbing because she came to this country believing our struggles have been understood here. We've been embraced, people understand what we've gone through. Don't want it to happen again. And so I think for this idea that millions of Americans would hear on live TV, this idea that somehow the Holocaust wasn't about race just for her felt like this assault in a way. Whoopi also said something on the Colbert show about the Klan, which you in your post column called a bit bizarre. So Whoopi said if she and a Jewish friend were on the street and they saw the clan coming that she would run, but her Jewish friend, I think, you know, she was saying hypothetically, not like a specific person she had in mind. This Jewish friend would probably not run because 9 times out of ten they would get passed over and they would be fine. And I think what she was trying to get at is that every single person can look at Whoopi and say, okay, we see that you're black. But not every single person can look at every single Jew and say, we see that you're Jewish..

This week, we had planned to bring you a conversation with Israeli rapper nissen black, but that will have to wait because of a more pressing issue that arose on the ABC talk show the view. The ABC network suspended one of its co hosts comedian and actress Whoopi Goldberg. For insisting that the Holocaust was not about race, but about man's inhumanity to man. When her co host pushed back, saying the Holocaust was driven by an ideology of white supremacy, she doubled down. But these are two white groups of people. The comments were part of a conversation among the show's co hosts about a Tennessee school board's decision to ban a Pulitzer Prize winning graphic novel about the Holocaust. In the end, the stars remarks sparked as much outrage as the book ban. But Whoopi Goldberg's views are not uncommon. "But I'm going to let y'all kind of hear all clip about what the Holocaust really mean because I guess they feel like there's a very big miss conception of what the Holocaust really is. 7 plus years away from the end of the Holocaust. There are still a lot of misconceptions about there. About what happened during that period of time. Between 1933 and 1945, 6 million Jews were killed by the Nazi regime and its collaborators the Nazis believed the Germans were racially superior that you Jews as a separate race, but on our daytime talk show Monday, Goldberg claimed the Holocaust was not about race. There needs to be an understanding that it actually was racism that was central. And is what fuel Nazi ideology and policies. Patrick Dinka John, who is Christian is the immediate past president of a Jewish bar association in Chicago. He says he was also disappointed by Goldberg's assertions. Jews regardless of what they make physically look like and appear like to us. That when people have children to persecute Jews, they do not consider them white. They consider them specifically Jewish. The Jewish community in Chicago remains on edge after recent vandalism at synagogues and schools are 39 year old man is now facing hate crime charges. The Jewish community continues to be a target. And has been for quite some time. ABC News suspended Goldberg for two weeks. Goldberg apologized for a comment on yesterday's broadcast. She also tweeted an apology. She apologized? She used it as an opportunity to become educated herself. She provided a platform for her viewers to learn. And that's really important. Illinois is one of several states that requires Holocaust and genocide education to be taught in public schools. So you're the video clip. Yeah, what Hitler did was the disgrace. You know, it was a disgrace, you know that you were persecute innocent innocent people who did nothing to you because like I said, once again, because of your ignorance. And she got, you know, a lot of, you know, a lot of people was very upset about her backlash about her speaking about this. So it's Whoopi Goldberg's away from the view. Leaders in the Jewish community say they hope she takes the time to contain to educate herself about the Holocaust. Even though we are now 77 plus years away from the end of the Holocaust, there are still a lot of misconceptions about what happened during that time and period. So between 1933 and 1945 more than 6 million Jewish people were killed by the Nazi regimen and its collaborative collaborators, the Nazi believed drummers was radically superior. They viewed Jewish people as a separate race, but on her daytime talk show Monday, Goldberg claimed the Holocaust was not about race. You know there needs to be an understand that's actually was racism that was sent to and was few and Nazi. Idealology and policy. Jewish regardless of what they may physically look like appear to us. That's when people have chosen to prosecute Jews they don't consider them white. They consider them physically jewels. Now, a lot of comets came from that. When she made that statement about that, there are not a reason a lot of people felt she was correct. That, you know, it wasn't.

California Threatens to Hold BLM's Leaders Personally Liable Over Missing Financial Records

"Speaking of money my gosh lack lives matter money situation seems to be catching up with these folks over there. You know, the buying a lot of real estate. Have you noticed that? For people that are a bunch of socialists and communists and marxists, the kind of seem to like real estate and kind of seem to like the good life. Anyway, word today that the California Department of Justice is threatening to hold the leaders of Black Lives Matter, accountable, personally liable, by the way, for the missing $60 million. In donations, apparently there's like $60 million that hasn't been accounted for. So the DoJ, they're in California is giving them 60. I'm impressed. I gotta say, you know, California. It is what it is. And I used to live there, believe me. I know how liberal it is and how crazy it is. So you've got to give the California DoJ extra special stars, right? Gold stars for going after a group that was seemingly untouchable. Anyway, so 60 days they have to come forward with the record surrounding $16 million in donations, or they could have their tax exempt status revoked. In other words, this is really a charity. Or is this charity so that, you know, some of the owners of the quote unquote charity, the principles in this charity can benefit and line their pockets and buy fancy new houses. They could also face fines for each month or partial month for which the reports are delinquent. They said the directors, the trustees, the officers, and the return preparers could all be liable here. They could all face penalties interest and other charges incurred to restore exempt status. In other words, if you're saying your charity, you got to actually be a charity. You can't be just, you know, a charity that says they're doing all this stuff. And then takes the money and goes and buys fancy houses and I'm not saying that happened. But gosh, there's an awful lot of real estate, which has come to

Whoopi Goldberg Suspended From 'The View' Over Holocaust Comments

"Trust them. Meanwhile, you've got Whoopi Goldberg and that whole situation. She's now suspended from her program the view, I guess, for a couple of weeks, you can go take a little vacation and reflect on everything that just happened in terms of the stupidity of her comments. You know, trying to suggest that somehow we should minimize the Holocaust. I mean, it's really, really, really offensive. And I think shows you how this is a woman who only sees things in terms of black and white literally, quite literally black and white, right? She sees things only through the prism of race. Therefore, the Holocaust, it doesn't feel as though it's something that matters to her, the way it obviously incredibly should, right? But it's just, as she said, you know, white people with white people. This is what's so tragic when we start looking at the world entirely through race, we have just lost. That is not who we are as Americans. We recognize people for the value they bring as

CNN's President Jeff Zucker Resigns for Not Disclosing Relationship With Colleague

"Jeff Zucker is out the president of CNN. He's been there for 9 years and ran the whole operation. He is now leaving again after 9 years allegedly his decision, although a lot of people are speculating that there's a whole lot more that has gone into it than perhaps. Jeff sucker's decision. He announced his resignation because he had a relationship with one of his coworkers. She is well, came out and announced that, in fact, they had had a relationship, and that she looked forward to continuing to work at CNN. She's going to stay on apparently the relationship happened during COVID. There are a lot of people internal sources that sort of dispute that and speculate that this has been going on for many, many years. She's a colleague of 20 years and had worked with him in numerous other places. That aside, one of the things that struck me about this was that I did not realize this woman who was in charge of marketing and PR for CNN had also worked for governor Cuomo, governor Cuomo, yeah, as his PR who sometime before coming to CNN. So, that kind of helps to crystallize perhaps in some ways the protection that you saw around Cuomo's brother who was an anchor at CNN. And now it's like all unraveling now. It's like, you know, all hell is breaking loose because in the investigation into Cuomo and whether he was helping his brother out at CNN, it's now come up that maybe some other people were trying to help him out too. And I think what it does is it reinforces everyone's real skepticism about the media industry. And sleaziness aside, it makes us question how incestuous interesting or choice and sensuous it all really is.

"President Trump. Hey, I want to get back to this Whoopi Goldberg thing for just a moment. And there are a lot of people that say she should be fired. But again, I am, I'm not one of these let's jump on the cancel culture mob. So in the perfect world, should she have been fired? Should she have should she have been punished for what she said? I don't think so. I think she screwed up, said something stupid. Try to make it right. I don't think there was any animosity there. I don't know, maybe there is. Look, at the very least, she was incredibly insensitive at the worst anti semitic, and only Whoopi knows that. But again, my inclination is to say, no. I mean, look, what you say is what you say. And it was terrible what she said. But I don't think it should end her career, but that's how things would play out in a normal world, but we're not living in a normal world. We're living in a world where if you go out and you're say, for example, a white person, and you buy a song, you go on to iTunes or Spotify or whatever you listen to a song that's got racial language in it, you're going to be destroyed. Your life is going to be destroyed. How many times have we seen ten, 11, 12, 13 year old kids who have been outed nationally because they flew a confederate flag or they did something stupid. How many times have we seen that happen? So if we're going to have to play by the cancel culture rules as they now stand, yet Whoopi's done. She's got it, got to send her packet off to the unemployment line. And by the way, what's up with the last name Goldberg? She's a baptist. She's not Jewish. Sounds like cultural appropriation to me. All right, 8 four four 747 88 68 will be right back. Hi, this is Todd stars using the Internet without ExpressVPN is like walking your dog in public without putting them on a leash. "Hi Tom, what say you? Mister starne. I'm well, thank you. I wanted to thank you first for my biscuit book. I enjoyed very much. The other thing with Whoopi, she committed to left this thing, one, she put out misinformation and two, she's cultural appropriating the Jewish name Goldberg. Now I think she should be fired. Now this is interesting because we did a little research Tom. And Whoopi Goldberg, she was born here in the great nation of America to a mom and a dad who's her father, by the way, was a baptist preacher. He was not a rabbi. And that shocks a lot of people because what they think that Whoopi goldbergs real name is in fact Whoopi Goldberg. And it's not Whoopi Goldberg. She is the daughter of a baptist preacher, not a rabbi. Her name is Karen Elaine Johnson. So Tom, I'm with you. I think maybe the greater senator is that she is culturally appropriated from the Jewish traditions. The two big ones. All right, Tom, a great, great observations and I'm glad you like the biscuit book God bless you. Real quick, before we go to rake let's go to North Carolina, James on wsi see. All right, James, what's on your mind? I'm glad to speak to you. I think she should be fired. And the reason being, well, first of all, let me tell you, I like Goldie. I love the movies that she's been in, but they're so misinformed on a lot of things that they talk about on the view, especially that other girl, the big mouth, I forgot her name. That one's behar. Oh, joy behar. Oh my goodness. They are should be married to that. Driving a garbage truck or something like that. She's a garbage mouth, you know? And she's all she always looks like she's angry. No matter what she's addressing. But like I said, I like Goldie but that's an unforgivable thing to say, I think. Yeah, all right. Well, you know, look, I enjoyed the sister act movies, was that the singing and dancing nuns? I thought that was very well. Yeah. And it is what it is. All right, James, there you go. Appreciate it. You've had your say, what say you ladies and gentlemen, should whoopee Goldberg be fired? You know, the conservatives are making the argument. Hey, if she had been a white female conservative, she would have already been shown the door. And they would be condemning her. What say you 8 four four 747 88 68? "Folks, I know many of you are Harvard. I can't believe Todd. I thought he was a good baptist. Why is he talking like this? Why is he sharing this? Because you need to know this is what's happening at CNN. The most profane name in news. Ryan Negro network. Again, judge, thank you. I'm telling you, folks. It's it is crazy over there, but can I share a little inside industry news secret here? It's like that at all of those cable news networks. I mean, that's the way it goes. If you have seen the TV or the movie anchorman, with Will Ferrell. The reason why that movie is so funny, it's because it's true. That's the way newsrooms operate. I mean, it's it's just booze. Basically, you have a bunch of horn dogs and alcoholics that work in the news industry. That's what it is. So anyway, we'll see how we'll see how this plays out. This is breaking news, Jeff Zucker, and this is actually fallout from the Fredo Cuomo scandal. So now Jeff Zucker is out over at CNN. Now I want to talk about Whoopi Goldberg, so last night word came down that that ABC was suspending Whoopi Goldberg for for two weeks. I'm just going to say this right out of the gate here. And let's get this. They're talking about it on the view, by the way. So let me know when we get that audio. Whoopi Goldberg out for two weeks. If Whoopi Goldberg had been a white female conservative, she would have been fired. Right on the spot. But I'm curious to hear from you. Should whoopee have been suspended or should she be canceled? Should we just should we sacrifice her to the cancel culture gods? What say you? Let's go to the phones here, 8 four four 747 88 68. Wes is listening to us from the great state of Oklahoma. All right, west, what say you? Hey, Todd. I stayed now. She shouldn't be canceled. I don't agree with what she said. But I don't think she had bad intent. I think she just misspoke. But the main reason why I say no is because we don't like it when conservatives are canceled. So we don't want to go around cancel and everybody that says something that we disagree with. Now this is Wes, this is this is an interesting observation and take on this. Because you're right, there are plenty of conservatives who have been destroyed. By saying something on television or on the radio, you've had conservatives that have tweeted something. I was, you know, they took me out at Fox News for something that I didn't even say. One of my guests said something on the radio. So it's so I get it. I get it. But here's my take on this west. It seems to me that this is an opportunity, an opportunity for the left to get on board with all of the rest of us freeing freedom loving Americans. And destroy the cancel culture mob. This is an opportunity for all of us to stand together and say, you know what? For the sake of humanity, we're going to we're going to say no to the cancel culture bob, but we're going to stop this nonsense. Do you think that could actually happen less? Well, there's always wishful thinking. I don't know. Yeah, that's true. That's true. Look, do I think that she should should she be fired in a perfect world? No. I don't think she should be. Wes. I think she handled the best she can. Whoopie is not the smartest person on the view. And that was very clear in how she explained her initial remarks in the follow up. She's just an ignorant person. And she can. Yeah, I think she just misunderstood the situation. I mean, she was clearly wrong in her analysis, but I don't think she had like ill and tit towards the Jewish people. Well, I don't know. I mean, she may, I don't know. She needs to she needs to really clarify all of this, but regardless, is it does she need to be fired and I'm with you? I don't think she does need to be fired. But that's again in a perfect world. We're not living in a perfect world. We're living in a world controlled by the leftist and the cancel culture mob. And so until they want to address that until the left wants to declare war on the cancel culture mob, I say we've got to play by their rules. Wes appreciate the call. Let's go to Tom and Pennsylvania listening to us on the kwa app,.

"Pharmaceutical wrap your idiot if you get the fuck straight. Wow. First of all, Margaret has been sitting on that tea for a long time. She almost call bravo and pay for them to push up the season. So she can get it off her chest. She had a ponytail way to put that on and get it out there. Because. Are you guys? I'm ready. Okay, are you guys coming up on New Jersey? Okay, last two seasons. Yeah. Jennifer has been ragging on Margaret because Margaret allegedly had an affair with her husband and that's how they met. But they been together. On the same show. Hold on, hold on. No, no. Margaret and her husband Margaret and her husband had years ago, met each other and had an affair and then got married. Oh. Okay. So Jennifer, holier than thou hast been virgin Mary has been ragging on Margaret for having an affair with a married man for two years. Now it's come full circle that Mary Magdalene's husband has had an affair with a pharmaceutical. Rep. I mean, come on. Terrorists are different. Okay. So what do you think? I mean, again, I never like, you never want somebody to get payback that way. That's clearly a painful thing in the merit. Well, maybe you do. Okay. But let me say this. Let me say this and this goes back to what we were talking about with Whoopi Goldberg. Unfortunately, Whoopi's job has been to hold people's hand to the fight. And now people are holding her hand to the fire. Right. As Jennifer has been throwing rocks at your glass house. And now it's time for somebody to do the same. Thinking saying. Got it. Do you know what that was a great delivery and translator? It was not like there was a lot of stuff happening today. But that's the right, that's the thing too, is that Jennifer, you know, again, the best advice is like, don't start talking about how great things are in your backyard. If you don't want because the minute you do, that's when, you know, that's when the barbecue pit. That's what it falls over. Everything falls apart. Well, things got even crazier because Jennifer said that she never told any a body about the affairs. I don't know how Margaret found out, because she decided to forgive her husband and in order for their relationship to work, she chose to never bring it up, not even as a dig. Is that a good idea in a relationship that if somebody cheats, you just never bring it up windy? But you know what? For me, if somebody cheats, it's gonna always be right there in the back of my mind. You know, you can say, oh, I forgive you, but you never forget. I don't care who it is. You can bring them back into your life and bring them back into your bed, but you never forget. And that's the hardest part. You know, I do couples that have that have managed to get past it. But it's a lot of work. And you have to really do the work and realize that you have to have you can't have the marriage that was where the affair happened. It now has to be completely a different marriage and different people. Like you have to go the reason that fair happened was there was something wrong in that marriage. So if we really want to do it and do the work, we have to create a new marriage and make it happen. And I've seen it. But do you get that? Forget the most. It wasn't me. This wasn't me. I wouldn't have done. Well, we're gonna answer that after the break will be right back because we have to talk more about this. And you guys tweet us and let us know if you could ever.

"Oh, girl, everything was getting crazy yesterday in New York because Whoopi Goldberg has been suspended from the view. The president of ABC News says she'll be gone for two weeks following what she called Whoopi's wrongful and hurtful comments. This comes after Whoopi made some controversial remarks about the Holocaust. She did apologize, but was it enough? Take a look. The Holocaust isn't about race. No. No. It's not about race. It's about man's inhumanity to man. That's what it's about. But it's about white supremacy. But it's not. It's not about. But these are white groups of people. How do we have to black people as white men? And then what you're missing the point. You're missing the point. The minute you turn it into race, it goes down this alley. Let's talk about it for what it is. It's how people treat each other. Yesterday, on our show, I misspoke. And I tweeted about it last night, but I kind of want you to hear it from me directly. I sent that the Holocaust wasn't about race. And it was instead about man's inhumanity to man, but it is indeed about race, because Hitler and the Nazis considered Jews to be an inferior race. Now words matter. And mine are no exception. I regret my comments, as I said, and I stand corrected. Wow. Yeah. Yeah. You know, look at TV. And quiet. Right? Yeah. Live TV is a crazy thing. Yes, it is. And live TV can be the best of times. Sure. Or it could be the worst of times because words matter. They really do. They do. And you have to be very careful because for as many fans that are watching the show to hear what you say and support you, there are just as many who want to bring you down. That's in my case. This is totally different from what whip is going through. Yeah. She offended a lot of people. Yeah. Absolutely. And she should have apologized. I just think personally, the apology tour came too soon. Did you watch the clip from Colbert? I did watch the clip from Colbert, and I said this sometimes. And I love Whoopi. But sometimes you gotta sit in your for a minute and realize what you said and how it made people feel. Right. And I think a lot of times celebrities just try to get out of it too quickly. And unfortunate part is we are on live TV. Right. I have been on live TV for 5 years. I get the chance to come to work every day and say what's on my mind. However, I don't say it the way I think it, because I don't want people to misinterpret it. Right. When you see I'm quiet. You know what I mean? I'm absolutely. And I did it. I get it. I get it. I totally agree. I mean, do you agree though that the two week suspension is on point? It's the right decision to do? Look, and I'm gonna say this with my gut, and I know some people won't like it out there, but I'm gonna be consistent and stand in my truth. I didn't think Sharon Osbourne should have been fired. I didn't think Jenny wyn should have been in fire. I don't think we'll be like, I think this is a moment that everybody can learn. I think it's very powerful. Far more if you just said we just said words are powerful. So how powerful would it be to have that discussion? I agree. I think we know what we know it when someone really does have to go bye bye. But I think for the majority of them, when you take when you remove somebody from the table, literally or figuratively, the conversation stops. What do you know? So I feel like sometimes these conversations, which, by the way, we've talked about, they are happening all over America right now. You're having these uncomfortable or necessary conversations. And it would be very powerful to see it on air live in front of everybody. 100% because people do think this way. And I'm going to say this Sharon got fired. Right. Because Sharon cursed at a coworker at disrespected Cheryl live on television. I don't think Sharon got fired because of what she said. 'cause she truly believed what she was saying. The way she said it and who she said it to was the big issue. Brian. But I think and I'm going to go on a limb here. When people get fired, are suspended indefinitely. That means you're asking coming back. You should go ahead and leave. The fact that they put a two week cap on this, I feel like gives me some resolution that she is coming back. What? It has us quiet. And that's the thing for me even with live TV. This is a new format for me. You know? And things can be said so quickly before you even thought it all the way through that. It's like, oh. Did I say that? And then you go and you replay, and it's like, oh, wow, what did I say? You know? So my daily affirmation just being here is that. I heard it when you got there. And the meditation of my heart just be acceptable because I don't want to offend anyone in the wrong way or things get taken out of context. But, you know, it's a lot of people were hurt. Yeah. And I'm sure we'll be as hurt right now. So words do not do matter. So a lot of times and I feel really terrible for saying this because I don't want anyone to think I'm defending Whoopi at all. Right. And I think that. Because she was wrong. What she said? What she said was wrong..

What Is Sean Hannity's Take on the Whoopi Goldberg Controversy?

"Do think a lot of people disagree about the suspension of Whoopi Goldberg. I suspect my friend Sean Hannity as opposed to it. But here's the thing. Two things. One, we're not. We're not implementing her suspension or termination in case she gets fired after the suspension. That happens too sometimes. They are. What are we supposed to do? We're supposed to come rallying to Whoopi Goldberg's defense of all people? The thing she said about conservatives over the years, and I can promise you, carrying the torch for canceling everybody else, who doesn't agree with a progressive narrative? So number one, this isn't our ability to torch Whoopi. It's ABC's. So if Mark and people who feel the way mark does want to go wants to go rushing to Whoopi Goldberg's defense, knock yourself out. You will be Cheam on you and shame on you for putting the public opinion just out there like that for every young girl to think that they're disgusting for even taking a photo like that. Wow. Now it's shame on Whoopi for being old and fat. You wish you could take pictures like this, Whoopi. You wish and producer, Phil. You're right. You've already shown your boobs. I mean, he knows that it's a negative. He knows. He should be saying it. I'll tell you that much. Hey, what do you make of this Bella Thorne controversy? Now, if you don't know bell phone is anyone year old actress. Yeah. Okay. And apparently, she's claiming she had some Newt selfish herself. And she says they got hacked, so she wanted to take her own power back. So she released them on the web. Right. She's just released them out there on social media of her own pictures of her being topless and whatever, because she wanted to take her power back now Whoopie Goldberg on the view. Well, listen to be famous care. How old you are, you don't take nude pictures of yourself. Right. I agree with Whoopi Whoopi, you. I do. Yeah. So they're going to get hacked. Once you take that picture it goes into the cloud, and it's available to any hacker who wanted. And if you don't know that in twenty nineteen that this is an issue. You, you. I'm sorry, your age does not you don't get to do that. I do you think of that? I think he's right. Reason to believe whippy is right? When she says, in two thousand nineteen we should realize that if you have nude photos of yourself on your phone. They're not just on your phone. And anybody could hack them. I mean you should understand that part probably not this modest thing to do the weird thing is though, what is it? What is the proclivity that makes people want to take new pictures of himself, the last thing I would ever be too. I can't tell you how much I would not do that. I know I just bizarre. Everyone's constantly getting in trouble specific I guess, but it's always a goofy thing. They're looking at their phone, and it's on a mirror in the bathroom. Well the trying to get an angle for their body. You know you gotta right angle their land, Bella was not happy with Whoopi, and she was very upset. And she went on Instagram to tell everybody to center, if you've made me feel really bad about Mesa open. And I hope you're happy. I really do it really. You're so happy because I can only imagine all the kids who have released, and then they commit suicide oh, come on little carried away there. Interesting. One. She's barely an adult. "I'll be huntsmen joy Behar sunny hostile and Meghan McCain. Now, let's get things started. So. The lovely Whoopi is still out happy Valentine's Day won't be a help you're watching. So we're sending our love to you. And also we have plenty of fun stuff plan for today. But it's a serious day sort of. So we're going to I mean, it is a serious day because it's the one year anniversary of the school shooting in parkland Florida, and we're thinking of everyone impacted by the tragedy today. So a lot of a lot of coverage on it. Okay. Then there are other things. So let's dig into hot topic. Some of the newly elected Democrats are under fire right now. Like, Minnesota congresswoman Ilhan, Omar she's being accused of antisemitism. Yep. For suggesting that Israeli lobbyists of buying off congress to sway policy tweeting. It's all about the Benjamins baby. Okay. Benjamin's meaning money. Okay. That's why it's a problem. She ended up apologizing after she was criticized from both sides of the including speaking Pelosi. So. Since we need expert for this topic. We have somebody here. Here to break down. How bad this could be for Democrats is the head of ABC news, political unit recline, welcome. Rick. Your to that. No. This is the white place to be loved the sweater of the the energy said, we're all radio, I have earrings. I think at the moment. So so how much of a problem is going to be for the for the Democrats? Really? I mean, she did apologize profusely. It seems to have been acceptable politics. Sometimes they're not Nancy Pelosi was said, okay. And what happened equivocal apology? And I think you saw how seriously Democrats felt like they were threatened by these kind of comment by how fast they came out. This was a freshman member of congress a lot of people in congress will say they don't give give someone a chance to make some rookie mistakes that wasn't the attitude and within hours you had everyone from Nancy Pelosi on down saying this is unacceptable and you had her issuing an apology. It doesn't make it. All right, necessarily doesn't end as a as a topic of discussion and certainly not for for President Trump continuing to to focus on this. But I think they recognize that this had the potential to become a major distraction for them. Well. Trump's the last one to say anything about it. But he, of course, he did. You know, Rick. I wanted you to come on. Because this seems to be a weird trend in freshman, specifically congresswoman coming in I'll gender okay, zero Cortez claimed that Israel was illegally occupying Palestine for she to leave supports the BBS movement and tweeted they quote forgot what country they represent. This is the US where boycotting is a right and part of our historical fight for freedom and a quality what an to just to clarify. It means boycott divestment and shanks sanctions movement, which is a proponent of actively sanctioning everything from Israel. So I want to know from you. Why is it that there seems to be this anti-israel probe ES movement happening specifically among freshmen members of congress? I think there's an important distinction in this is a difference between anti-semitism, and that's why congresswoman apologized and being critical of American policy toward Israel, which is a legitimate discussion and a legitimate debate. I think both parties will continue to be engaged in the left has had a. A sentiment of pro Palestinian, and some would say anti Israel anti the current Israeli government sentiments for a long time. You Jimmy Carter is written about it. The elements of it in the Bernie Sanders campaign, and I think that discussion around human rights in around the the treatment of Palestinians is a part of the legitimate realm of discussion that's different than trafficking anti-semitism, and that's where the lying profit..

And she was so nice and has remained that way up until now, and I'm very friendly. Her daughter is actually one of the funniest people out. Alex, Alex is literally one of the funniest, and I wish that actually her and I should actually have a show because she is. Yeah. And real like, even though like, okay, her mama's Whoopi Goldberg, but just a real funniest shit. I adore her. It's a great family. They're wonderful people, really. And is the Mormons most generous not just in her generosity, but spiritual generous, she's great. I tell everyone not because it's the one thing I really walked away from that show with that if the people who deserve it get it does that make sense from her. That's what he will say about it. And she knows the right people to give it to you. If that makes any sense, and that's a self compliment. That's how you solve compliment. But it's really just, but it's really true. "A robot at travels from Minneapolis to Roseville for super slow. It gets there in two weeks. Six six thirty five. Well, it seems you know, we let you listen to it yesterday. And I'm sure you saw the headlines Kevin Hart had kind of prickly interview with Michael straight hand on good Morning America had a less contentious one with Andy Cohen a couple of hours later that Andy seemed right with with what Gavin said, and I don't want to I want to go back through the Kevin Hart thing again. However, it leads us to the fact that the headlines coming out of righty a deadline Hollywood, all the big trades are the Oscars are almost officially moving on without a host. Yes. Lex you've been saying this since the beginning of the Kevin Hart scandal, you still all right with us. Good with this. I'm okay with this. Even though a Whoopie Goldberg actually said, you know, I'm game. They want me. I'm game Aquafina said the same thing crazy. Seriously, that might be kind of fun. Yeah. Yeah. But now, I'm for no host. I think we'll move the show along, and they don't even have the voice of God come down and say, all right. Here's your presenters. So and so and so and so and then roll right into it. Dawn. I really agree. I think that people are going to like this. They're going to see how much quicker the show is going to be and where you won't want to go back to having a host, really. Yeah. I don't know. I'm very old fashioned with this. I'm I'm still on the fence still don't quite know. I don't think that's the produce bits. They can still do have a producer have some fun with that. With has your have the stars tape different things, you know, but otherwise some of that stuff. On the fly volt. I retweeted this earlier Fogo one of the entertainment writers for the magazine wrote an article about how she's been covering entertainment for a while. And she loves award shows, she loves Oscars Grammys, but she said all of these award shows are need to change or they're gonna they're gonna go. I said this the way of inflatable furniture in the nineties, and it's true. I don't know what you do. But you do need to kind of re it does seem a little antiquated. These award shows the the structure is a little wooden. So maybe this is the first step. I don't know. I just I agreed Whoopi Whoopi Goldberg said she kind of feels like you need someone to kind of move things around or kind of move things along. Maybe I don't know. Maybe I'll be proven wrong, they if they do do this. Maybe I won't like it. Maybe if they have maybe if they have like three sets of big a listers that take chunks of the show. Oh, you know what? I mean a couple teams present multiple award. Yes. That I would actually like there. There's so much time wasted with getting the presenters up there. Clapping. And then you don't realize collectively how long all of that stuff adds up, and how long it adds to the broadcast. So maybe if they kind of streamlined behavior, and they just had a couple sets of people that read the awards and more stars would probably be open to doing that. Because it's less pressure of being the host. Now, I'm going to be giving out four words. This is great stand up on the side there for a little bit step up announcing nominations. Because think about it. So that's that's yeah. I liked that a lot. I was a producer. I mean, if you think about it. Okay. So you do. The announcement comes on, ladies and gentlemen, the present our next award. Matthew, mcconaughey and Halle Berry? Literally the introduction plus the clapping plus Matthew and Haley Halle Berry coming on. That's a minute right there. That's a minute. Each one of think about all of the introductions all night, add up all of those minutes, if you could streamline and just have sets of people that just do one ward after another. Yeah. Introduction, and they'd just standard aside and back in makeup costume do groups of awards, and then take a break and then come back with a funny little montage 'cause you still want some glamour you still want. You do want it to have an air of celebration of Hollywood all the Hollywood new Hollywood people always want to host might be your moral to it. And Julia Louis Dreyfus, she might do it. Then we all would love to see her host. Yeah. Maybe she'll be more open to doing this, Tom Hanks same thing, Denzel will you know, what would be fun for me if I was a producer. And I in the stars were all very agreeable with me. I would I would reunite classic casts. Classic pairs like I would have Richard Gere. And Julia Roberts..
