"I was I do this you'll see what comes around to you but I I do this motivational speech where I go and talk to places and there's a whole thing that I do where I talk about how you don't always have to be working to be moving forward you can just be listening at times you can be president in what's happening around you and I tell a story about how axl rose from guns and rose this is sitting around and listening to slash play the opening this guitarist furniture and I want to do exactly because we're on the story and he's playing guitar riff and feels like that's interesting what is that slashes I just playing a scale basically implying the scale and and this is not a song I'm just warming got because we're about to go into the studio and so act like well that's that's interesting is that I wrote this poem for my girlfriend keep playing that and so- slashes the plan the song an actual reading this poem and it's like this is it this this is the song like I'm just he was just sitting in the room and it was sweet child of mine that's how that's how the song get started that's great so slashes sitting here just playing this on his guitar and then inside of the bridge of the song he doesn't know where to go with the song he doesn't have it written because back then they were just GonNa Studio and get totally wasted in and record so if you remember the bridge the song he starts going where do we go now where do we go so he's leaving he literally didn't know where to go with the songs crazy it's awesome and so how how I bring this up start with you is you know that's an interesting way to kind of get into a song ever sit in a room at seventy sticking around with something and you go well I really wasn't planning to go here but I have something that could work I have This page after page after page after page of titles and ideas yeah That I have always kept I started keeping it in college and so typically when I walk into a room comedy starts doing that I don't say anything I just kind of opened my file and starts I call him a book of spells because we call it that once in a in in a group setting she's like oh he just goes through his book of spells so I actually titled on on my desktop my little books spells or click on that started kind of going through stuff almost you know most of it just doesn't work for every piece of music obviously you just can sit you kind of go through you can go through and go through and say finally go let me that and I start throwing things into the room that there's that point at the beginning of every writing appointment where as far as lyrical ideas you're either going to be the absolute hero you're gonNA look like a Moron I've kind of always prided myself on being fearless when it comes to throwing ideas in the room and just kind of going well I took all that time to come up with them let's see if they're any good there's only one way to find out can you us song where you're going through the book of spells and you're like this might actually be something with what you're doing now you mean with Mute where the music was already going you're flipping through and you you go well I could actually attach this we could go somewhere with it and it turned out to be something you know aw man sorry like running through songs in brain yeah run through typically Some it detracts and things most of the time I come in with like pieces of music fully at least something somewhat realized or at least enough of a concept the trying to match it to somebody that's something already going isn't perfect so even then a lot of times the musical change ever so slightly it's not usually an exact match I don't have a slash story do you ever wish I did because what I find when you get into a room you say you go in us if I'm writing something comedy wise and someone comes in you don't know people it's your little timid at first and not so much because is of your ideas but because you don't everyone's sensibilities writer first date oh you dance yeah you're kind of all right we'll and I've found that when someone comes in and they're totally fearless it actually relaxes the whole room right like it's actually a nice start to the whole because you're like Oh okay if they're going to be an idiot and idiot and maybe isn't the word but it was the best yeah and I feel at times if I do that it actually makes the room a more productive room if I just go out and do the most bonehead things sometimes on purpose uh-huh it makes the room better because everybody goes oh why was an idiot I won't be near as big a minute let me start suggesting my ideas and that's actually the whole point of of the reason I do it don't often assume that the ideas that I'm gonNA start throwing out our what we're going to work on and I don't really care part of it is just getting any kind momentum going and in getting the comfort zone opened up because once somebody starts talking starts saying hey what about this what about this what about this everybody else feels a little more open to going through their own stuff especially if you've never worked together that first time where it's like we're saying it's a dance and kind of your everybody's trying to figure out their role where they fit in what they're supposed to be doing I just I I love the visit and I love the hang and all that comes beforehand it's great to catch up and all that but at some point something's got to happen and there's no reason for us all to be hanging out so that's my way of being like all right let's get some work done come on a resume you just a little bit and we'll go into some stories here but fourteen number ones just a few of them Luke Bryan most people are good I bring that up because I was a three week number one a rarity almost a Dodo bird of country music songs those days yeah I would say the white tiger now dodo birds extinct maybe the white tiger of country music three week number one yeah they're getting more and more it seems like I was asked on the red carpet last week at cmt they said hey what what was your song of two thousand nineteen and not that I would listen to it the time alone but like I said well my song I think that was the most important to the format and that people have really gravitated to because of the message was those people are good and that's what came to my mind that was my visceral emotional reaction to what was this song of two thousand nineteen that's awesome so congratulations one on three week number one also a lot of people went and it's nice to just like like have that song I needed that Song I did most of the time when when you meet people socially and they ask you they find that your rent is so what are you right you know obviously they mean rock pop country whatever and I smile on say I write fiction 'cause that's kind of what I do I sit around and just generally make up stories and things in that particular case that was written in two thousand sixteen during the presidential election or the build up to the election between that in some of the other things we're also going on in the world at the time I was really kinda depressed I mean just watching some things and kind of went you know what it's not all bad it's really not all bad and I I showed up my studio that day I was writing with Ed Hill and David Frazier who I've written it's close to twenty years and luckily at we again we know each other so well that I kind of know where they are in their lives as well and it just it was the right right idea for the right group of people and I desperately needed that song I still find that when sit around play that song when performing it's it's still takes me back to that place that I desperately need to be these days talk me through the life of after you wrote the song because we know the end product we've seen the manufacturing of a three week number one it's been through we've seen it then great but ride it and that's a it's been a couple of years now a few years now actually yeah so what happens right after you write the song do you feel like it could be something and where does go and it just kind of talk me through that so we we wrote the song I was the only one I just sat and play guitar while you're writing I was the only one plane during the writing and then when the other guys left I stayed right there in my studio and built up the record from scratch and it sounds almost identical you ended up hearing on the Luke record did they use any of the now of your track now they didn't use much wreck I think they even might change the key and they cut with a live band and was playing individual bits and pieces and Jeff didn't need my tracks a pretty obviously and finished it up I think got I spent the rest of that day part of the next day finishing up the demo turned into the publisher that is usually for me where my contact with the song essentially ends you spent a lot of time with it did you feel you because you spent almost two days did you feel like it was a two day worthy song or is that just normal process for anything that you've written if I'm the one doing the demo it takes me wrong I'm just not fast I'm I'm a slow build when it comes to to building out a demo and even beyond that typically I'm not great at them it's not really my forte I'll do them is when I'm the one that ends up being the person in the room that has that skill set but I prefer having a Jesse Frazier I've been writing one hundred hundred twenty songs year professionally for the last twenty five years

"A I can understand why see freedom we would like to rebrand and the White Tiger as the royal white tiger exit does so create this mystery around them but there are no royal white tigers. The white tiger is not a separate species. It's actually genetic mutation of gene and one in ten thousand. Regular Tigers are born with this genetic mutation that gives them this white for this blue eyes but they're not. I separate creature. It's just a tougher that happens to be white white tigers really for the most part of bread because of how they look doll about that striking appearance these inbred animals that I'll come back to morning and the first tiger that was most captive remember Mojo on that first white tiger that was captured in India. All of these tigers in these little cubs traced back to him. Bonin was read back to his daughter to try to produce this white white tiger so that's where the inbreeding came about now unfortunately because there's been so much inbreeding. There's a lot of problems with the Tigers that you now see today in captivity so ranging from a crooked backs to clip feet internal problems kidney problems there been no reports of genetic abnormalities allergies with siegfried and Roy's white tigers in fact they say they practice conscientious breeding to avoid mating tigers that are closely related and they say they stopped Breeding Tigers back in two thousand fifteen..

"In one thousand nine hundred eighty two they meet the Maharaja of Baroda who is the Commissioner of wildlife in India he comes to see their show in Las Vegas and invoices this as almost divine white tigers were rare kind of a fluke in nature all white tigers years in captivity. Today are descended from one animal that was caught as a cub named Mohajane that began the white tiger line and it turns out the Maharajah's his family had actually had success in breeding White Tigers they had given to to the Cincinnati Zoo. There was nothing in me that wanted us so an entertainer tigers but I was pretty impressed at Royce. Commitment is dedication and certainly the care he could provide. I mean when he talked about. Bringing in White Tiger talked to building an Olympic size swimming pool for the cats air conditioned quarters so I took a gamble in ice sold them per tigers two of these tigers wind up made and Sitara female tiger gives birth to three white cubs ups and as you might imagine Roy is just over the moon those cute little tigers can trace their lineage back to mow. Oh Hahn who was bred with his daughter inbreeding that would later be controversial. Roy Roy is almost magical content. He adored. They seem to door him when he started to bring him on stage when I have three weeks old and the animal comfortable insecure when Roy was there frightening joy mo all of these animals are show. Oh business babies. They're trained not to be afraid of the stage the lights the sound the people it doesn't faze any of these animals that takes a lot of training. You're the guy that gives me all the treats. You're the guy when I wanNA play with that special toy you you bring that way. If you are my guy all the time I've learned that every time I do what you ask I get this fun amazing. Life quite of the illusion for Siegfried and Roy is that they were magically controlling. B.'s wild ferocious animals but the reality is that Oh aw there were trainers and handlers behind the scenes all the time I love Roy did have a small leash on the bigger cats typically they speaking every cat onstage would either have a handler or maybe even be secretly locked down somewhere so what's common in the industry three is they would have like a little late wire that you wouldn't be able to see from stage and they would just be anchored to the floor. Let's not forget these are still wild old animals with an instinct to kill in all the years that siegfried and Roy worked with these animals that are physically dangerous. There were never any major incidents. There were minor incidents. You Chunk of your own taken out by lion. Yes it was not a chunk of course just a free stitch. Yes we have at this time. illusion what roy changing to a lion and I opened up the cage and to make it look very four vote so I had a little wrestling with the lion and going name just got carried away. Not One of them has ever really turned on no. I guess sound very fortunate to have a good Tammy Roy. He knows that people get attacked by their tigers all the time but he thinks I'm good enough. I'm aware enough. I've done enough. I'm not going to be that person today. Does he know his name. His name was back. Do you know how far you can push him yeah so you would let him. Lick your face. You would pull his ears. You don't believe it right. You don't believe me yeah. That's been you do prove that means. He's hello everything is time yeah that's right. It's like everything animals. You can't take nothing for granted. Even if you think you know it all it's physical risk the one before that cannot entail you. The feeling is for grown tired of Nick's your face but you also have to think at the same time in one stop of his Paul. He can decapitate.

"Anything to breed. White tigers. There's a lot of people that have illegal ownership of all kinds of different exotic animals. There's more Tigers in Texas than there are in the wild. We got more Tigers in this. Great state. I guess Amazon didn't want to be well, they'll probably end up in this state. Just not in Houston. That's from Vicky que he founder and president of instinct exotic wildlife rescue in Wylie, Texas parks and wildlife contacted the exotic animal sanctuary after discovering that two white Tigers were being illegally kept on private property in North Texas. The Tigers which investigators believe are around six years old are under quarantine at the wildlife rescue. You see what the state of Texas is saying there? Hey, you you can't keep those Tigers. You gotta give them to those people over there. And let them get to keep them. Whoa. Whoa. Whoa. Wait a minute. Why can't they keep them? Nope. Not going to happen. Patten? Did you call to give me that tired old yarn about not all young people are bad? Well, partly part of what I wanted to call and tell you also to reassure your listeners. Understandably is that not all of this generation is as liberal as you tend to say that they are nobody believes in all of them are. But what I want to reassure you is that there is a solid chunk not a majority. I'll grant you that but a good chunk of my generation who is strongly conservative. Oh, yeah. There's a few innocent people in prison. I still don't want to move next door to me. And I'll give you that. But when I just don't want the older generation to give up and say that, you know, those young people are totally lost. And none of them really want to do anything. And we should just write off all of them. Because that's not the case. They're hard. Every generation has thought that about the young people. I listen, I'm not opposed to you or anybody else voting when you turn thirty. Okay. Just not till then. So regardless of what you've done how you yourself. Because otherwise, it's a merit based system. And the only way you can do that the only merit based system that that would hold up is millet, active duty military service. And there are a lot of there are a lot of there are a lot of exemptions from age based requirements for active duty military. Look, there are a lot of good people that are young people. But by allowing hundred young people to vote whether it's fifteen or thirty that are just have a solid head on their shoulders already. You're still dwarfed by the vast majority that are inculcated with bad ideas from school. Did they have developed and the fact that they've never they've never had to go out and pay taxes? They've never had to do all the things that that make you. We all believe when we're young that. If we'll just be nice to the guy next door everything will solve itself, we won't have any problems in the only racial problem. We have in this country. Is that everybody if white people just be nice to black people, then that would solve everything. And when you're young you believe that and then you get a little older than yours. Wait a second. There are plenty of black people that are walking around pissed off that you can't ever be nice enough to you can't hire often enough. You can't pay enough money. You can't promote promote fast enough. You can't give the equity in your company to you can't decide you won't fire. When you were there are some people out there who are bad who use race or age or sexual orientation or. Or nationality or religion. And they use it as a stick to beat the hell out of everyone else and they're not victims. And so you start once you experience that and you feel all alone because you've come up against that. And you find yourself as every person at some point in their lives does saying to yourself, you know. Why are you doing this to me? I'm a nice. I'm one of the good white. Yes. Why why are you doing? Why are you doing this? I wanted to good men. Why are you doing this to me? I wanted to good employers fill in the blank, and you have a woman go crazy or a black person. Go crazy or Hispanic go crazier a gay person. Go crazier, transgender go crazy or an old person. Go crazy or a crazy person. Does crazy. You have one of these experiences. And then you realize the world is a very complicated case the world is a very complicated place. And we can't just assume that every accusation is is a conviction. We can't just assume that every complaint has merit. We can't assume that every person complained upon needs to be you know, a disciplined for that. We can't assume that because people have accumulated wealth that they're bad people will young people in a much higher percentage tend to believe these things. And they tend to believe these things because they've not yet had real life experiences doesn't make you a bad person. I was the same way. I was young and dumb at one point two. And and that's why when as I said at that age, you're young dumb and full of you. You ought not be making the big decisions in life. That's not to say that it twenty years old. You know, every every person's going to be an awful parent, if they're twenty years old, but I can tell you that by and large a thirty year old is going to parent better than a twenty year old because you're going to be more patient more mature probably financially much better off more capable of having the perspective. It requires to be a parent. So it doesn't mean that twenty year old parents are all awful. They're plenty that are good. But most would confess, you know, what if our thirty or if I were thirty it would be a whole lot easier, and it is. And so that that's my only point. There are plenty of good young people. I come across plenty of them. But not enough not enough. And part of that is it's just a question of growing up. Look if we didn't all get better as we got older than what would there be the look forward to we get wiser we grow. I don't know that it's more cynical. Maybe it's more realistic. We grow more sagacious, more Solomon-like more more discerning, and we're capable of casting votes. Because when Barack Obama says hope and change we're old enough to go, wait a minute that sound like something, Lenin or Stalin would've would've preached and instead of that's true that it'd be nice if we had both of those.

"I'm going to continue to -veloping, so he's going to be one of the better receiver. Amari Cooper has unlimited potential in the last year year and a half. We haven't seen his game grow after coming into the league in being spectacular. Early. Thirteen points. Monday night. Is this guy going to help with that? If the thing with more Brian is theoretically? Yes, because he is a big splash play guy, and I actually understand why they caught him and brought him back if he has the drug suspension looming. And if he's a guy that Gruden called him, he's like the white tiger sometimes shows up. Sometimes he doesn't use some observation allergy. They didn't want to have his salary guaranteed for the year. So they caught him before week one. They bring him back after I understand that, but this is not where the raiders have a major need. And to me, I just I am concerned about what's happened with Amari Cooper and the connection with their car over the last seventeen games from the beginning of last year to now. And I don't know that trying to get another wide receiver on the same page with car helps that, and that is much more important. The Cooper car relationship much more important than adding a little bit of talent, your wide receiver. If I'm a veteran on that team, which they got a bunch of them. I'm concerned about the messaging point of Jon Gruden Khalil Mack off the field. No blemishes. Great character. Great leader, great football player. Jon Gruden said that they were worried about Martavis if he was going to be available. So now we have a guy from buffalo who's worked himself up. He's one of the best defenders. Maybe the best defensive player that we have. He's done everything the right way they decide we're not going to sign him, but a guy that they have publicizes. We don't know if he's gonna be here. He's a white tiger night. I just haven't heard a coach used at a whole bunch. How good is the white tiger plan. NFL football. The guy didn't show up sometime, but we're gonna Lau him to be in the locker room and the guy we didn't have any problems with. He couldn't be here and you make up some excuse. Oh, he didn't want to be here. So get a little consistent, John. All right, so I'm an advocate for guys, Josh Gordon. I've been man. Randy, Gregory Martavis all these guys similar similar backgrounds to myself. But at some point you got to be responsible for your decisions and grooten is going to have to be responsible with every subject for the Khalil Mack thing because you don't have Khalil net defense, you better have an explosive offense. Only thing that makes the Khalil Mack. A better story was when Gruden came out that night and said, yeah, no, we're lacking in the past all. Look at the bigger it out. What happens. They just find the way like you got rid of your past. You said yesterday, see your collection near decisions. You gave up a fifth round pick for four AJ McCarron. Okay. He's only backup quarterback on your watch right now, you give third round pick for player. You cut before the season started. You've now brought back and given a second chance. And that's the messaging to the locker room that I think is potentially troubling to give multiple chances to a guy who just got there. You didn't draft. You didn't draft him. He has no history with those players in the locker room. And he had red flags beforehand, like it just it doesn't. You're not telling a consistent story and Oakland, and sometimes even if the stories not great, if you are building something along a consistent narrative line, yes, in it can make Santa net locker room. If you want guys the trust you, these guys don't know Gruden. It's like they're not watching Monday night football, like you have to develop trust in anything that you're doing. I just believe based on his messaging, it's been inconsistent. And I believe that affects older players because they can see through that take a break coming up, Tom Brady has to new wide receiver throw to. Welcome back to first things. First came through Jennings joins us now. Hey, Greg morning. Good morning. Nice to see you. Great to see you can some patriots today. New England remains undefeated this season at one.

Can't even get his headsets going ahead said, are you ready to do radio jerem show? I am ready Dominic Foxworth. Can we continue with what we were talking about the last segment? So the the question was who has been nicknamed by John grooten as the NFL's white tiger wound guesses. I mean, who are the white tiger of ESPN. That's what I was going to say. Put it on the poll is white. Tiger a good nickname for Jeremy shop. Now, FOX, I have a question for you is white tiger related to this player style of play or what he looks like or some emanation of his personality would we? I don't know where this comes from. I'm not sure if you deserve clues, but I'm gonna give you one. I think based on John gruden's explanation, it's more about personality and behavior. So it has nothing to do with Al Bino ISM. No, I don't believe so. So usually when you're talking about white Tigers it's actually there. I know Tigers. Right? Yeah, not your Ian Tigers. I don't believe I don't believe it has anything to do with that and to be to be clear. He is not the first player that Jon Gruden has nickname the white tiger. So it's the second thing. So there was tiger in the initial Jon Gruden. NFL. Coaching tenure. Yep. Jon Gruden seems to have a thing for white Tigers. Okay. One last, the guy s clue is the white tiger a white man. It's a big clue right there. I mean, he would have to be right. Set your love your room. Barely the white tiger neither white tiger the original white tiger nor the current white tiger or white men. I'm going to say the white tiger is Ryan Kerrigan. Chap, you gotta guess? No, I have no get so. So when he saw about, I'm still trying to define the term. So when he's saying why tiger, he just means a very rare talent and exceptional unusual talent. I'm guessing FOX. This is FOX's account. Kind of, I guess. Who is the white tiger. What types Bryant. Why is he the white tiger? I don't even understand this. They said, I have to find exact the exact quote, but this was from Chris show sheet by the way. Another thing that takes takes car. Nope, that is not nothing that takes place during the break is they send out ROY sends out a show sheet which is just a bunch of links and summaries of articles, and Chris, since out a show sheet also and we have dueling show sheets ratio sheets. Yeah, it's always when we get to a story. Each guy seems to take a little credit for my show sheet, but this is from Chris, this show she. So if I don't know if Chris stealing shipping container, you chef. Would want to take credit for. I'm just curious. I'm not as smart as well. I mean, you are, obviously, we love Jeremy. Both. Hear me. How familiar are you with the laboratory universe? You know, I mean, I don't Dan a long time before he was a media multi-platform kind of superstar and you know, I was fine. I think I'd like the old Dan more kind of the more low key. You know, I, you know before he now he barely Danes to recognize me. If I happened to bump into him in Miami, he's too big for me. Now I, it's, it's kind of sad actually, and I have a chip on my shoulder about it and I remember twenty twenty years ago twenty years ago we used to host back to back radio shows on. Would want to take credit for I'm just curious I'm not smart has just well I mean you are obviously we love. Jeremy, both Jerry. How familiar are you with the laboratory, universe you know I mean I don't Dan a long time before, he was a multi media multi-platform kind of. Superstar and you know, I was gone I think I'd like. The old Dan Moore and in the more low key Guy you know before he? Now he, barely beans, to recognize me if I happened to bump into him in Miami he's too big for me now I, it's it's kind. Of sad actually and I have a chip, on my shoulder about it and I remember twenty twenty years, ago twenty years ago we. Used to, host, back toback radio shows on, I think it was Sunday mornings on ESPN radio okay and My show since then he's been moved I think from like nine. AM to six AM to name the show that's kind of thing we do here oh yeah. It's called the sporting life. And it was. Back then, as well, and we it used to be on it like nine AM and. Now it's like six AM it's kinda hard to find, it's barely on and Dan you know now has like twenty five shows on, in very desirable time slot so he's. Kind of just left me in his wake. Put it on the poll is Jeremy. Schaap jealous of Dan Levitan, of course, who wouldn't be jealous of. Dan laboratory here's the Jon Gruden quote I used. To I used to Busch gardens in Tampa we. Called former wide receiver Joey Galloway the white tiger. In. Tampa You go to Bush gardens and they've got a white tiger thirteen years I, went to Bush gardens the white tiger. Was always in the cage well the white. Tiger came out today Bryant came up. Wow he's always in the, gruden's analogies, don't really hit with me I don't know if you get that analogy but sometimes he comes out to play. And sometimes he doesn't it's good to see him because, he's really special like. A white tiger wait? So when he's saying white Tigers he, saying somebody who's in the cage and, has not come out of it, and demonstrated all of their fierce this on the field or. He's saying someone who is capable of such things someone who occasionally does what is he saying the way that I had turned it this is that Martavis isn't practising enough and it's like you come out you. Don't know if you're. Going to get the white tiger and so you shrug to Busch gardens. And there's probably a big. Cage and sometimes the white tiger comes out. And, sometimes the white tiger hangs out. Back in the. Cave. Or something and is in class. Handed that's what I get It's like saying. Saying he's special but he's kind of temperamental however if you're going to make such a point right and you're going to be an NFL head coach in paid what does he get like twenty five million dollars. A year or something I shouldn't communication clarity of communication be paramount, good point if we're sitting here trying to interpret what he means that it seems to me that Jon Gruden with all due respect has failed. In this particular rhetorical exercise but no I would I understand what if I was, on, grooten side though I would, argue that this is a. Delicate situation and you would like to hint to your player that you don't appreciate this without embarrassing him so. That's why he caught. Him white tiger because people can interpret? This is like oh he's a rare special? Talent but also he's kind. Moving I'm supposed to Jon Gruden is playing these. Kind of mind games with his players to some level of effective what makes them, great how are you around animals Jerry shopping how are you in. A live animal situation I'm very, fond of animals I grew. Up, in kind of a menagerie actually one point, when, I was a kid we had not making this up eight. Cats two dogs and? A parrot technically a your which is not precise Apparent it's kind of a parrot light bird But at one point we had Eight cats and my. Mother, was like a cat woman and And here's the strange thing and I know Is. That I grew up around all. These animals animal lover very fond of. Animals we took a. Cat off the street she had six. Kittens we kept all of them raise them I go. Off to college when I'm eighteen years. Old I come back like, thanksgiving or whatever it was the first break and. Now. I'm allergic to all of, these animals wow Apparently that is not exceptionally, unusual apparently like if there's some level of constant. Exposure The allergies the historians, I guess are are suppressed but if you go away and there's no exposure whatsoever and, then you're hit with all of these animals or or however many you come. Back then the allergy kind of presents itself in a way. That it hasn't previously so, to, this day now I'm still allergic. To. These animals I grew up around shop fax That was that was, very lighting it's I think it's true actually Jeremy shop you don't know this FOX is, full of all sorts of useless knowledge we might have created a bit here. Setbacks taxi I I would dispute I would dispute Clinton the. Idea that any knowledge is, useless Jeremy What we start to show with. Clinton how about you talked to Jeremy about his his map, knowledge very, dropped some useless, knowledge Not looking at any are you.
